But this chapter hit me for a much more personal reason this time, and uhh, it kinda hurted lol?

Lanyon Sr. is far from a fan favourite by any means, but his intentions are undeniably good

Everything he does is for the benefit of his son, and seeing this from Robert's perspective and with hindsight makes us understand his decision much more

It was that bit which hit home for me

Parents with good intentions, and yet, it will always feel like control and lack of love

Undeniably, the way Lanyon Sr. could have handled this situation could have been infinitely better than what we got

But he was also talking to his son, who he already didn't get through to at a young age and just wanted him to at least have something he's passionate about

Like, being able to understand his point of view kind of just.. y'know, sucks

No but seriously for all those who relate to Mr. Puzzles just want you to know your accomplishments alone do not define your value and worth as a person. Even when you’re a messy work in progress, you are loved and appreciated more than you may recognize. Thank you for being here. Don’t get me wrong it’s good to be idealistic and set goals, but don’t undermine yourself if you don’t get that perfect score….or if you start to fall behind compared to everyone else. Everyone goes through those moments of doubt or perceived failure. We need to fail every once in a while. And that’s okay

What if jon and damian got lost in space just like jon did

But they weren't captured or anythign they're literally just lost at space with no way back. They were just thrown into some dimension

At first Jon was alright but then he started to panic after a few days. Damian too, is anxiety by the situation

No one knows they were missing

Well maybe they knew but they just couldn't find them. Even the space cops couldn't. They were just yeha gone for a period of time. Maybe somrthing like the age up jon idk but i prefer it was technically like 1 year to 4 years ratio rather than 1 month to 6 years ratio 💀

So fast foward into the future its just them in a ship in a guardian of the galaxy kinda adventure trying to find themselves back to their planet.

Damian is just peter-quilling, playing musics to calm himself down, got some weird ass pets and cool alien gadgets he tinkers around and use on his fights. He's on edge 100% of the time because of what could happen to them, follows a schedule so that he doesn't slacks of but he's getting tired.

Then Jon is just there, agitated and overstimulated by the entire thing but he tries to cheer himself up. Always smiles and everything but internally its not okay. His eyes are just as wide as a traumatized soldier. He's a lot more controlling in a way becuase he doesn't wanna lose anyone but he never lost his kindness and hope for others.

Damian probably uses a laser gun but he found a lightsaber on the way so now he's just using that one lol. He hoards a lot of weapon, big and small, that could probably blow up a planet. Jon just bashes things up, i mean he's a kryptonian he can fly unlike Dame who needs a lot of equipment sadly. Their suits are also cyberpunk-ish, different parts and upgrades here and there. Damian still wears a robin symbol on the front and there is this bat symbol on his back across his shoulders. Jon also wears the house of El symbol on the front like his dad did. The suits lean on the more pratical ssid so its a bit dull.

Him and Damian ironically ends up saving planets and stuff. Both are definitely homesick but they always find stuff to cheers each other up. Going into places malls and everything. Fight space crimes errg. Just chilling together in the spaceship, comforting themselves. Entertaining themselves by dancing to music, solving crimes, or figure out different games and study on cultures of a planet together.

And then they get back to their world as a grown ass man (no theyre probably like 18 21) and they definitely look like different person, even their combat styles are different but they still do have their main qualities.

This is mostly just for me but!

If you struggle with completing basic tasks, your f/o understands. They know it's hard. They know you can't "just get it done."

They won't rush you or shame you for taking 10 minutes to do something small. Or an hour. Or a day. Or even more than that.

They'll give you reminders! They'll help make boring tasks fun! They'll give you space if you need it! They'll help you in a way that doesn't make you feel patronized or guilty.

If your f/o makes a suggestion, they're not gonna get all huffy or guilt trip you if you don't go along with it. They respect you and your decisions!

And they would never EVER talk shit about you behind your back. You are not a burden to your f/o. You can feel safe around them.

Honestly though, I do kinda get sad over shipping Lucifer with anyone/reader if everything that’s happened in the canon of Hazbin is part of the scenario. I know it’s silly, but I can’t help but think about whoever his partner is always feeling some doubt and insecurity over the fact that he and his ex-wife were together since the dawn of humanity basically. Like how can you accept that? Idk how I could personally.

I think I wouldn’t be as mad about Toei’s choices for Super if the things they overwrote wouldn’t have translated so beautifully to animation.

I have my beef with the gaps in my sense of humor and Toei’s writers room and our opinions on characterizations, sure, but so many of the cool things that happened in the manga and the movies that Toei reiterated were changed, botched, or removed completely, and that sucks.

Vegeta being so cool and so protective of his family during the Goku Black arc, and Gohan being a total badass during Ressurection F are my biggest “why did you change this??” beefs. But also man. The tournament had so many good moments in the manga that were totally snubbed in the anime.

As a fan it makes me angry but as an artist it makes me sad. Toya is such a cinematic storyteller and his pacing and compositions were just. Thrown away. :(

EDIT: Someone in the notes pointed out that the anime caught up with the manga before the GB arc so I do take back that they threw away Toya’s later work in the GB and Tournament arcs, but I will never understand why they weren’t sharing assets when they were in production at the same time. And I still can’t forgive them for fumbling the retellings of BotG and ResF so hard OTL

Okay, so I like to run. I haven't run a proper race in years, but I busted my butt just now on a 5K and I was pretty proud of myself. Absolutely over the moon with endorphins and all that. Mostly glad I wasn't completely out of practice.

And then I went to the adjoining festival and saw this little finger puppet guy.

And I just...every time I look at him, I start cackling because he is so cursed and silly looking.

Not exactly best for getting my breath back after running three miles, but hell. Look at this creature.
