This might be weird, but I’ve never associated valentines day with love. I’m aromantic and usually single, so I can totally see this being a bad day for me, especially since I’m the flavor of aro where I’d still like to be in a relationship, perhaps of a more queer platonic variety tho. So like- Valentine’s Day should suck right? A million fingers pointing at single people like ‘ooooo you’re lonely! Lonely single person! Bet you wish you had this [gestures towards another human being who sorta kinda likes you a lot]’

But the realization that I should probably be lonely and sad about valentines only occurred to me this week, in my head it’s Pink and Red Shitty Chocolate day- and also strawberry tastes really bad in coffee and chocolate covered strawberries are overrated.

#a coffee shop I really like #made a chocolate covered strawberry mocha thing #and it’s horrible #strawberry flavor does not work with coffee flavor #but like-#I’m sad and lonely for all of winter #I’m sad and lonely on my birthday and on a few choice aniversaries for sad and lonely things #I’m sad and lonely for six months of the year plus some other days #why should this one day be on the list?#there are so few holidays that aren’t associated with bad things #and honestly seeing other people in happy relationships does really bother me #and red and pink is a much better color pallet than a lot of other holidays #and strawberries are good on their own #when you don’t get chocolate and coffee into the mix #strawberries and cream is so gooooood #but okay- in conclusion: to my autistic aromantic brain #romantic relationships are just super best friends who you kiss sometimes #and you don’t even need to be dating to kiss #I have friends #i have really good friends who talk to me and hang out with me nearly everyday #how is this not good enough for love day?????#I love my friends.

noshing on a mango sticky rice croissant from the farmers market this morning and i gotta say this whole is not greater than the sum of its parts

#sasha speaks #the pastry stand i got it at is relatively new and very In rn like their stand can get massive lines #and they sell out at a lot of markets cause their stuff is pretty and uses a lot of trendy flavors like strawberry matcha and ube #and dubai chocolate (which i don't understand. is it just pistachio??) or those bigass croissant cubes #and like listen i am not above trendy pastry. not in the slightest. i love a fun pastry.#though the big cubes are off putting to me tbh they're too big. i don't want that much #anyway they're new at my neighborhood market recently which i don't shop at as often but sometimes i do #like this morning bc i didn't want to go across town today and it was drizzly which meant i could get there early #and beat any measly crowd that might form later #and like. the mango sticky rice croissant. it looks super cute. round pastry with rice and mango nestled in the middle #it doesn't taste BAD. it's pastry and it's mango sticky rice.#but also. the mango is doing most of the heavy lifting here. which like. it's mango. of course it tastes good #the croissant on its own is kind of more bready than i prefer (though to be fair i like a croissant VERY flaky)#(and that tends to hamper the structural rigidity which is a problem when you mostly trade in filled and topped pastries)#(rather than just a straight up plain croissant)#and the rice is just like #idk. it's rice #it's chewy. it's not very coconuty. it's not too sweet which is good but it's not bringing much to the party other than texture #idk i'm glad i tried it and i will finish it but i won't get it again i think. i would rather just eat a good plain croissant and a mango #like. next to each other #i did get a custard filled milk bread as well though i am excited to try that tomorrow. i love custard buns

#on the one hand like. I don't personally get takeout and stuff very often.#matt usually gets fast food or something for both of us once a week #but he's usually doing all the ordering #so like. it feels Really Expensive to me.#I worry that I'm overpaying or otherwise making bad decisions.#but on the other hand I am full and it tasted good and I didn't have to cook or go anywhere #I don't have a frame of reference for what food is supposed to cost these days #because the last time I could regularly go out and pay for my own food #they still let you get any subway sandwich as a $5 footlong #so my expectations are Different than the reality that has moved on without me #(also I got honey cream shrimp which is in fact honey walnut shrimp without the walnuts)#(a strawberry peach yogurt drink with rainbow jelly)#(a small skewer of fried meatballs)#(and a biscoff croffle which I will save for later because I am currently full)

Another quirk to Warmhoney Steppe fic that I’ve been writing over the course of a year on and off (that I never talk about lol) that I’m only just noticing is the overabundance of fish metaphors I’m sorry I’m like this 😶

I ADORE the legend of zelda games and especially breath of the wild and THIS FIC aaaaaah I love it! It's a retelling of the events of the game but with its own twists and ideas and it is so good!

It really is an epic novelization of the game and it's incredible! I read it multiple times and every time it reminds me why I love this game so much.

I recommend reading it with the music of the game for peak experience!

Manufactured SEEDs

Basically, the concept is that SEEDs once served as a “positive” force meant to permanently remove or separate negative emotions that were deemed unnecessary.

(I wish I could elaborate but I don’t really know how) (I wanted the idea that “SEEDs” have always existed or something unique to Fragaria Memories without being inspired to anything if that makes sense?)

Assuming that SEEDs existed during the time of Legendary Red, what if “Legendary Red” made the SEEDs but backfired and twisted the story that they saved the world of Fragaria from the SEEDs.

Maybe the SEEDs couldn’t be completely destroyed for whatever arbitrary reason, and the Strawberry King took responsibility to guard the last remnant of existing SEEDs left from this world of Fragaria?

Eldritt’s purpose is to keep the origin of SEEDs and the truth of Legendary Red a secret.

<- But at the same time, what good is keeping the truth hidden(?)) “To keep the world idyllic”(?) (How would revealing the truth about Legendary Red and the SEEDs affect the world?

(Maybe we can connect this to time loop theory(?)) (Do you think Halritt wants to keep the world happy by all means necessary) (and time loop is his only answer)

Do you think their existence evolved during their entrapment by the Strawberry King? They’re indiscriminately trying to feed from negative emotions because of this insatiable hunger they had for who knows how long?

How did they escape? Why did the Strawberry King disappear?
