I was gonna make a crack about how disney dreamlight valley lets you be ruder to npcs than veilguard
but then i actually progressed a story mission and my characters forgotten is just Spite
and it turns out his big bag plan is to tear down a veil between the otherside and dreamlight valley so like
#im fucking joking but omg it made me cackle#i bought the game when it was in like early days ea cause im a sucker for a well made animal crossing like#and even though im not a disney adult it looked like the gameplay was fun enough#and stopped playing when they introduced the microtransaction store front#but honestly for a cash grab game for kids i actually thought the intent and story behind the forgotten stuff and the memories was cute#the little warning saying it deals with certain themes like lonliness so if you aren't ready to deal with it go play the normal game#was especially like kinda adorable#and i dunno as a kid who went through really depressive time growing up the narrative being a kid who can't communicate#and is feeling all this awful shit about themselves and unable to connect to anything#even as people around them are reaching out to spend time and help them is sweet#even if it is again - want this loud and fucking clear that i'm not ignoring this element - a shallow disney cash grab#its better than it could've been for that
