#and speaking of potential I think we reallly started to see so much more of carlos and a side of his character that we've never seen before

I've had some time to collect my thoughts after a couple of days so here they are even though nobody asked.
I really loved the finale. It was devestating, no doubt, but I think this is their best one yet and I absolutely loved how they handled it. There was so much grieving in this episode, not just from Carlos, but from Owen and Judd as well. But despite everything they chose happiness and the wedding ending up being beautiful and bittersweet and joyful all at once.
There has been the question of deleted scenes but there's really only one we've seen so far that I would have loved to see in the episode. Other than that, I'm just glad we get to have them all as extras. I don't think the wedding needed them though.
Another thing I'd like to add is that yes, sometimes storylines can feel rushed in shows where you have a lot of characters and especially if there are clear favorites within a fandom. There was a lot going on, but that doesn't necessarily mean any one character's storyline is less valuable than another's. I guess I'm speaking as less of a fandom member and just more as an enjoyer of the show if that makes any sense. I love all of the characters in this show, and while I would be lying if I said I liked every single storyline, that doesn't mean I wish they didn't happen. In this case, however, I loved all of the storylines and I think they all made sense together given the theme of this episode. I personally don't think any of them shouldn't have been there in favor of getting more wedding content.
Honestly, my only regret is not getting off of tumblr as soon as the final bts stuff started coming out. I'm pretty bad when it comes to guessing things so if I hadn't been aware of the theories I literally would have had no idea and it would have hit me so much harder. It still got me pretty good though.
Again these are just my opinions so feel free to ignore everything I say if you didn't feel the same. I'm happy though, and I'm going to continue being incredibly annoying about this show. ♡
#I'll just touch on this in the tags cayse more people have put this a lot more eloquently than I could#but in terms of the decision to kill of gabriel I know a lot of people feared two things#1) it was too close to the wedding 2) potential future storylines would take a hit#and if it had happened any other way I would have agreed with the second one#but the fact that we got that scene between him and carlos was really important#and they way it happened really opens the door for revisting this in the future#I would honestly be really surprised if they don't come back to this mystery because there's a lot of potential there#and speaking of potential I think we reallly started to see so much more of carlos and a side of his character that we've never seen before#him dealing with his grief and in the end chosing to allow himself to have his wedding#that moment between him and owen#I loved all of it and I know in shows like this it can feel like characters start to get stagnant but this is definitely not the case here#not just carlos but everyone else had moments this season that just showed us so much more of them#and it makes me excited for their character development and what future storylines will hold#anyway I think those are all of my thoughts#if you're going to say anything please be nice I don't really do well with negativity#I usually stay out of fandoms for actively airing shows because discourse isn't great for my mental health#but since y'all are like 90% lost shameless mutuals and 10% bots I feel safe enough to share my opinions publicly lmao#har rambles#911 lone star#weewoo rambles

Sejan podcast
I know this isn’t in order but I also know everyone is waiting for this one so, here you go. Translation under the cut
Tumblr media
Host, speaking to the camera: Good day dear viewers, and today-a treat. Dejan Lovren and Šime Vrsaljko. I was tempted to start this off with Šime's famos phase: Good day working people, tonight is a live" but it seemed a bit too much
Host, turning to them: should we expect something like that from the two of you during Euro as well?
Dejan: it's spontaneous for us. For Šime and me. We never know what will happen
Host: oh I see. Is it also partly the fact that you are a bit older now-
Šime: *giggling *
Host: -so you have this mindset of "oh we are older now, we'll leave it for younger players"?
Šime: *giggling louder * well no-we only improve with years that go by
Dejan: we get even worse
Šime: *openly laughing * yes, even worse!
Host: but the two of you continued that tradition even after WC. You call one another, you go live, you guve yourself into the ether, so to say
Šime: I mean, it's not...it's not showing people as much as they think-
Dejan: we show them maybe 1%!
*everyone laughs *
Šime: yeah we show them maybe 1% of the way we-I mean, we show everything through positivity and that's it. I guess people like that
Host: I know the two of you have been active during quarantine. You were both probably bored and had quite a bit of interesting conversations. Maybe we should touch a bit upon that. Is it something you guys plan or does one call another and then you just talk?
Dejan: Oh, it's as I said before. Šime knows that when I call him, I'll call him three times. He has to answer
Šime: yeah, we really don't plan that. I often have some things I am doing but then he is calling me to comment on something and I-I don't have the heart not to answer
Host: so Dejan, you were also quite bored in quarantine, and you tries quite a lot of activities. I believe cooking was also one and that one steak ended up burned
Dejan: the house almost burned down
Host: *laughs *
Dejan: no, seriously
Host: so it ended up completely black huh?
Dejan: yeah. But I did learn how to cook better after that
Host: and you Šime? I believe you said you didn't cook the eggs but the eggs cooked you. That there was oil everywhere
Šime: I mean, they closed us in the house. And I had some friends over and we were all really hungry so I made some eggs. They asked for fried eggs but they ended up getting scrambled ones
 *about getting haircuts in Russia*
Šime: so I came downstairs, after the lady was finished with Kova already. And we share a glance and Kova is like 'brate...this really isn't good' but I take a seat anyway, hoping it will turn out alright. And then she started cutting it and I felt she was taking out too much hair so I stopped her. Still had patches of hair missing. It was awful
Dejan: the rest of us surely didn't let him forget about it
Host: so how did all of this start? I know the two of you were roommate and that Dejan pressure you into opening instagram account, which you didn't want to do. But you did in the end
Šime: yeah, he was pesting me about it for days. 'Šime please. Com'on just open an account please' and what could I do? I relented. And then...I think we made that Marica video first?
Dejan: yes, that's how it all started
Šime: yeah. I didn't know how anything on Instagram worked, so I played with filters and that's how Marica happened. Interesting, what can I say
Host: what's interesting is that none of that was planned. There was no plan, no censure, nothing. You just showed us things as they were
Dejan: well I think that's the best, really. Plans rarely work out as you want them
Šime: yeah. We didn't do it to, I don't know, pretend we are funny or for views or something like that. Just...what happens, happens
Host: do you miss it now? The fact that you aren't roommates?
Dejan and Šime overlapping: we didn't-weren't
Dejan: everyone has their own rooms. But it's practically like we are. Not much of a difference
Host: how did you think of your famous "aj lajk" idea?
Šime: well I don't it'-
Dejan: something got messed up in his brain
Šime: -something clicked in or out of place
Dejan: he just said something like "aj lajk a lot" and that was the end of it
Šime: no, I remember there was something-there was that moment well-erm
Dejan: laughs *
Šime: *sighs, shakes his head * I was watching this comedy from Jim Carrie and then he-and then he- *loses a train of thought *
Dejan: *laughs louder *
Šime: *smiles * there was something he did and-I thought of-
Dejan, whispering: aj lajk
Šime: no, it was-
Dejan, louder: ajjj laaajk
Šime: it was something different
*continous laughing from both Dejan and the host *
Šime: ...anway it was also spontaneous
 -Card break-
Host: let's make first card break. You take the cards and ask the questions one to another
*Šime and Dejan take each one card *
Host: you can take all of-or you can take them one by one. Nevermind
Dejan: so what, I am asking him then?
Host: yes
Šime: don't give me any hard questions
Dejan: a yacht or a sailing boat?
Šime: a yacht
Host: a big one?
*voices overlaping *
Dejan: as long as everything fits in-
Šime: it doesn't really matter-
*pause. Šime shrugs. Dejan starts laughing *
Šime: I don't wanna sound too posh here. I don't spend much time on yachts and I was never on a sailing boat. And I am not very patient-
Dejan, overlaping: he doesn't have patience for that-
Šime, still overlaping: yeah, exactly-
Dejan, speaking over him: I think he is more likely to push the sailing boat himself-
Šime: I really don't think I'd like that- not one bit. Anyway, SUV or Cabriolet?
Dejan, looking pained: Cabrio.
Dejan: VAR or not VAR?
Šime: *sighs * no VAR
Šime: Jennifer Lopez or Shakira?
Dejan: *thinking*
Šime: Can he choose both?
Host: he can, but if he can choose one that would be better
Šime: I am just giving him an option
Dejan: JLo
Šime: ah, fine I guess
Dejan: rock or hip hop?
Šime: I listen all kinds of music so it depends
Šime: iPhone or Android?
Dejan: iPhone
Host: Šime you didn't play a lot of games because of your injury. We are all happy you are back now but I am curious. How did you feel at home, watching them play and suffer on the pitch while you are at home?
Dejan: what about how I suffered?
Šime: If someone told me I will not play for the nt for so long after WC during WC I eould have called them crazy. But I kept postponing the injury during WC and I paid the price after. So yes, it was hard, watching my boys that I spent so much time with, play without me and struggle while I wasn't there. But I am here now and we have a big chance once again to cheer up people who love Croatia
Host: Deki, there have been some new player joining the nt recetly. How do you think they are settling in?
Dejan: I think, good. I mean when I remember my start, of course you are a bit more shy but I am sure they'll be more outgoing with time. But they seem like nice guys
Host: do you think there is a potential in some of them to continue this entertainment thing you and Šime do? Or are they more closed of?
Šime, cutting in: I think there is always a way to joke around a bit. But-
* Dejan, shaking his head and mouthing no*
Host: no huh?
Šime: but-
*voices overlaping *
Dejan: it just doesn't exist-
Host: how would you encourage them to-
Dejan: you can't. You are either born that way or you aren't
Šime: I mean the two of us have been in the nt for awhile now and it's always the same. Every morning if I wake up even at 4 am I'd start laughing
*Dejan laughing *
Šime: it's just the way it is and you can't really describe it
Host: I wanted to ask, I don't know if this will ever happen but I would like to see you two as hosts one day. If you could choose someone to ask questions as host from the nt, who would it be?
* Šime and Dejan share a look and burst out laughing *
Šime, still laughing: no the thing-the thing is, the two of us commented on probably every famous person ever. Connected to sports or not. But if I had to choose-if I had to choose someone I think I'd laugh to tears with while interviewing it would be Goran Bare
*Dejan giggling in the background *
Šime: it would really be a show
Host: if he could hold a concentration during the whole interview
Šime: I mean it would be something casual, like this. And for the questions we would have...I reallly don't know
Šime, looking at Dejan: who would you choose?
Dejan: I don't know
*silence *
Šime: com'on brate, say someone
Dejan: hmmm. I don't know. No one is coming to mind right now
Host: and from the nt? If you had to choose one teammate?
Dejan: Brozović
Šime: well yes but-
Dejan: he is maybe number one for me right now. I just remembered
Host: and would he agree? To come to a show hosted by you?
Dejan: not only would he agree. He would have to agree
Šime, unconvincinly: mmm. Yeah
Host: Deki, did you get used to life in Russia?
Dejan: well yeah, yeah I did-
*Šime giggling *
Dejan: it's not how I expected. I expected to be able to survive the winter but it's really cold
*Šime bursting out laughing and coughing *
Dejan: I went out on the balcony one day and thought "my freezer is warmer than this "
Šime: so meat can be kept outside with drying clothes. If it's that cold. How cold it is?
Dejan: -30 C
Šime: wow. There we go then
Host: you didn't visit him yet?
Šime: no
Host: and you won't huh?
Šime: oh no *laughs * I said I didn't not that I won't
Host: Šime how did you face Luka after snatching the trophy from him?
Šime: normally. But I remember thinking-since he scored last minute to Villarreal and we won our game. If we ended with a draw and he scored a goal in last minute and won the championship-uff. I wouldn't be able to look at him
Dejan: he doesn't even have space for any more trophies anyway
Šime: him?
Dejan: yeah. Like com'on
Šime: but. Um- *looks at Dejan and forgets his sentence *
Dejan: dragi
Šime: hmm?
*Dejan laughs *
Šime: don't talk too much
Host: We had Budimir here yesterday and we talked about how he got into argument with Savic. He didn't want to tell us any details, but he said you'll surely tell us everything
Šime: he really pushed it all on me huh?
Someone off camera: that's not exactly how he said it!
Šime: I mean I don't want to judge because I am on good terms with both of them. I didn't get involved and I actually found someone else to argue with-
*Dejan laughs *
Šime: but I am really close with Ante while we are with the nt but Stefan is also my friend I talk to every day so. I wouldn't want to pick sides
Šime: I am glad Ante scored thought and that the club bought him so I congratulate him on it this way-oh he just entered
Host: Ante you came a little late. We just talked about you and Savic. Šime told us everything
Dejan: he insulted you to the fullest
Host: he told us everything, we heard a completely different story from you, just so you know
Budimir: will I need to give some sort of reply?
Host: it's too late for that, you had you lr chance and you didn't say anything
Šime: I wanted to say, there was tension during the whole game and it escalated jn the tunnel-
Host: oh Luka, you are a bit late too. We talked about you as well
Luka: I was here already before-
Host: I think he waited until you left to say something-
Budimir: I just wanted to say, he sent Grbic after me. The biggest one
*all laugh *
Šime: I didn't even see Grbic. I was too busy with some other things. Some my exhibitions
  -Cards break-
Dejan: who has the best image?
Šime: ufff. Hmmm *thinks for about 30 seconds * Based on my taste? I guess Mateo? He knows how to dress well
Dejan: *laughs quietly *
*everyone from the background start laughing *
Host: you are not of the same opinion
Šime: well I said it's based on my taste
Dejan: next question
Šime: who has the best car?
Dejan: what should I say?
Šime: just say it's you, brate
Dejan: I mean Barišić has a good car
Host: Barisic huh?
Dejan: I wanted to say Luka but Luka is *makes dismissing gesture with his hand *
Luka: soon!
Šime: Luka will have it soon but tastes shouldn't be discussed. Besides whoever has the fastest doesn't mean he is the fastest
*everyone laughs *
Host: so who is the fastest?
Šime: well that I don't know. We should have some sort of competition
Dejan: who gets ready the fastest?
Šime: ufff. I don't know. I really don't know. I can tell you who gets there last but-
Host: who gets there last?
Dejan: captain
Host: Luka huh?
Dejan: well you know it's when you pass 30-31, you immediately pay a fine. So he comes exactly at 30
Šime: but at yesterday's lunch, you should have seen that show. It was 29 minutes and 45 second when suddely the door opens and everyone rushes in. There was pushing and running...chaos. but that's because we have some new regulations like no being late, no phones...but I think that's great
Host: who paid the most fines?
Dejan: ufff I can't quite remember. But I think Reba and Perisic
Host: now I'd like you both to tell me about your childhood, but perhaps something not football related
*Šime and Dejan burst out laughing *
Šime: there is still more of these dragi *giggles *
Dejan: are you fucking with me
Host: alright sorry guys, my bad. Continue
Šime: are you asking me or am I asking you?
Dejan: you ask me
Šime: no, I asked you last. You ask me
Dejan: alright. Who eats the healthiest?
Šime: I think Deki does
Dejan: Me??
Šime: yes. The way he makes and mixes those salad he eats...I am sick from only going to that part and looking at all the stuff you are supposed to put in them. But he does it so carefully and he clearly enjoys it. I mean we all eat healthy but he is like...yeah
Dejan: I mean I really do like salads. And I have this whole pressure-captain sits next to me and he says "make a double salad"
Šime, overlapping: well yeah, he uses him a little, so what-
Dejan: and it has to be perfect, salted to a gram, otherwise it's "what did you put in this?!" *sighs * it's fine
Šime: who cooks the best?
Dejan: cooks???
Both of them: no one
Host: alright so, your childhood. Šime, you can go first
Šime: my childhood? I don't know what to say, really. It was good, I grew up loved, surrounded by fun and playing games with my friends outside. I also thankfully have a younger brother and...I don't know. Most of my fondest memories are the ones spent playing outside, usually with the ball of course
Host: which neighborhood?
Šime: well we moved once so there were two addresses in Zadar, until I finished middle school. And then I went to Zagreb at 14
Host: what about you Dejan? I know you had a harder childhood, but I'd like to touch upon happy moments and not so much on bad ones
Dejan: what should I say? I don't know where to start. I mean I had a really nice childhood in Germany. My parents introduced me nicely to the real world pretty early on. I remember at that time I thought we had everything we needed but...in the background everything was burning. I think I only realize how bad the situation was when we got back to Croatia. But that's alright-it happened for a reason. And I think we can all be proud that we survive it. I am actually sad my brother didn't went through that with us. He was too small
Host: you spoiled him a bit huh?
Dejan: well no. He is 10 years younger. By the time I went to Lyon he was just starting to grow up. Maybe that's why I-because of what happened I developed quite a character. So I can proudly say we all went through that together and today that's something that doesn't have a price
Host: you went to Zagreb when you were only 14 right? Although I believe you said in one interview you really wanted to go
Šime: I wanted to go because it was a call I couldn't refuse. It was football and football is my biggest love. And it's something you just feel you need to do. And when you are that young you are just pulled by your goal, by the love for football. But when I came and when the process of growing up was suddenly sped up...only then did I realize the consequences of my decision. But at that time that was a challenge to which I would never admit defeat. So there was only victory left. And I did win that game of my life. Those kind of moments left a mark on you. As Deki said those things make you stronger and make some things later in life easier
Šime: but don't get me wrong! I am not saying it wasn't nice as well. I am talking her like it's something awful-
Host: was it too much of a change to you at first?
Šime: well no, it was great for me actually. I was supposed to go to Hajduk at that time and I went to two tournaments with them in Zagreb, we won that tournament, I won the best player award and they were demanding for me to come to Hajduk but they couldn't make a deal with Zadar and then the offer from Dinamo came and...there wasn't much thought on my part. It was really great. I was at dorm for the first 6 months. And...I don't have time now but one time when we have time I'll talk about the details and my experience with boys from both on and off the pitch. It was a time of self descovery for me so to say
Host: Deki, I have to ask you something. I have a friend that played with you in Inter and he said that you spend the whole night with them celebrating, but you only drank Cola and similar drinks. Never alcohol
Šime: impossible. I don't believe it
Host: that's what he told me
Šime, turning to Dejan: is it true? How old were you?
Dejan: 16 or 17 I think?
Šime: oh okay, then I believe it
Dejan: I mean I had this sort of mentality of looking at things ahead. It's not that I never got drunk. I got absolutely plastered and I walked on my knees-
*everyone laughs *
Dejan: -but I definitely had days I didn't drink despite hanging out with teammates because i didn't feel like it
Šime: *still laughing *
Host: He is dying of laughter. I don't understand why
Dejan: that's because he saw the time I was on my knees and ge remember that now-
Šime: *laughing louder *
Dejan: so now for him that's-
Šime: no it's *laughing do hard he is incomprehensible * it must have been some time before the game so you didn't drink *proceeds laughing *
Dejan: well yes, that's what I am telling you. The rest of them were getting wasted anyway
Šime: *laughs even louder * this was good, my god
Host: he has good tricks huh?
Šime: no I mean, I am not saying what he is saying is untrue I just *laughs *
Dejan, overlapping: he just saw the worst version-
Šime: I know how he gets when he-*laughing harder *
Dejan: -saw the full transformation-
*both laughing very hard *
Šime, wiping his eyes: oh my god.
Dejan: anyway, next question
Host: Šime that jump of yours after a ball during the game against Belgum...what happened?
Dejan: blackout
Šime: I mean yeah-I was so mad
Host: but jumping with both legs-
*Dejan laughing *
Šime: he is laughing but I am still mad. There were so many situations with Lukaku, he kept pushing the players with the whole "oh I am strong, oh I am fast" I mean he is but. Still. So when I saw him leading the ball I wanted to-I want to shorten his....
*everyone except Šime laughs *
Dejan: his legs
Šime: his way to towards the goal. And I failed and when i saw that in a duel I lost the ball-
* Dejan laughing again*
Šime: and I was tired and under stress so I had to get it all out somehow so i don't do something worse later
Dejan: I remember watching TV and I saw that, I looked at my brother and then back the TV and I said "he had some sort of blackout there"
Šime: I just did what I had to do. If it was concrete there, I would have threw myself at concrete at that moment
*Dejan absolutely losing it *
Šime: I am serious. I would have honestly threw myself at the concrete at that moment
Dejan: *slaps his arm, still laughing *
Šime: I realize it was a bit unexpected from the outside but I just had to do it so I don't endanger anyone else's health later
 -Cards break-
Dejan: only two cards?
Host: no there are supposed to be three
Dejan: *looks around, no sign of third card *
Host: lost it on the way huh? It's fine, there can be two
Dejan: alright. Favorite book?
Šime: pfffff
Dejan: *laughs *
Šime: there is no favorite book
Dejan: *laughs harder *
Host: nothing huh?
Šime: no. I know there might be a phase in my life when I will read books, but for now...I just don't have a patience
Dejan: *continous laughter that increases everytime word 'book' is mentioned *
Šime: favorite song?
Dejan: uh. I can't really choose, it depends on a mood *thinks for a moment * but now...let's say from Oliver "Bez tebe"(without you)
Dejan: favorite city?
Šime: Zadar
Šime: now another question that won't be hard to answer. Favorite number?
Dejan: *shurgs * 6
Šime: you didn't really choose some hard questions
Host: if you had a choose one player from the nt who is really special? Personality wise as well-
Dejan: Broz
Šime, nodding: Definitely Brozović
Host: I keep hearing about him. Maybe people from the outside have the wrong idea about him-
Dejan: wrong idea? No, they have the right idea. Exactly the right idea. The guy is hilarious, but also an amazing player. I cannot believe someone can eat 2 kg of pate, 2 croissant and coca cola before a WC match and just. Run for 15 km. I just don't understand that. And then when you ask him how he says: "pateee" and makes hand gesture to the sky. I really don't understand him. I would need 4 days to recover from eating all that
Šime: yeah his mental state...I don't think there is much of a difference for him when he wakes up in the morning on a normal day or when he about to enter a pitch. But I think when you meet him you are surprised actually. He is actually quite quiet and nice and really smart, with a big heart
Host: and he is honest right?
Šime: yes. There is no doubting for him. He will tell you everything to your face and what you think about that-that's your problem. I think that's great
*about their lives and interviews from Russia*
Šime: one thing that I specifically remember from videos of our interviews are people trying to read our lips
Dejan: oh god *laughs *
Šime: I remember whispering to Dejan "look that guy is the same Strina
Dejan: the guy really looked identical
Šime: and someone wrote that I said "look at that woman with big boobs"
Dejan: *laughs harder *
Šime: I mean, how do you even read it so badly??
 -Last card break-
Šime: which teammate would you let choose an outfit for your night out?
Dejan: Šime Vrsaljko
Dejan: which teammate would you choose...as a business partner
*they share a look and start laughing, the entire audience joining them
Šime: Well Dejan Lovren, of course
Šime, calming down: alright, alright next question. Which teammate would you choose to-*starts laughing * to-to babysit your child for a few hours?
*everyone burst out laughing *
Dejan: Šime Vrsaljko
Dejan: now, listen to this
Šime, already half laughing: yes?
Dejan: which teammafe would you choose to...change your tire
*both burst out laughing again *
Šime: *catching his breath but still laughing * what-I mean what should I say *laughing again, shrugging * oh fu-
Šime: which teammate would you choose for a gaming partner?
Dejan: *thinking * but you are always playing those video games. Call of duty and stuff. I have to pick Šime again
Šime: well I really sometimes do-
Dejan: sometimes?
Šime: often-and then I tried to get him to start playing-
Dejan: and I did, during lockdown. And he got me into Call of duty. And after 5 hours I say "I am going to bed" and my wife wakes me and she is like "dragi you are shaking "
Šime, laughing: he was shooting!
Dejan: it completely scrambled my brain. So I quit. Stupid video games
Dejan: alright now tell me...who would you choose as a partner in a fight?
Šime: ufff. Well him. I'd choose him for everything. It's a matter of trust. If we were to get into a fight together-
Host: you'd take a punch for him?
Šime: we'd-we'd make it a good fight. Guaranteed
Host: well guys, that's it. I hope you enjoyed-viewers certainly will. This will be viewed a lot I bet
Šime: it was good. Fun. Although I saw that in some podcasts they drink while answering-
Dejan: where did you see that?
Šime: in podcast. When Goran Bare was a guest they also gave him the-the-
Dejan: so I end up on my knees here? Don't be ridiculous-
Šime: -and we'd open the topics much easier that way
Host: I don't know what your coach would say to that-
Šime: -it's classic art. I am not saying we have to drink here just that I think it's cool
Dejan: *laughing *
Šime: maybe some people are a bit stiff so this would help them relax
Dejan: how do you think we'd be like? How relaxed?
Šime: from 1 to 100? 200
Host: well you gave us a good idea for maybe some future podcasts-
Šime: but I think that would need to happen when there are no football activities involved-
Dejan: I think the chair would be sitting on me and not me on a chair
*both laugh *
Šime: just prepare us two beds here so we can lie down after
Host, turning to the camera: Anyway, dear viewers, we'll stop here for today. I hope you all had fun today, and watch us tomorrow as well

The only ending everyone seems to ignore is v3 because it’s just... it’s just a mess.
How do feel about this game survivors? And do you think that everyone woke up from the simulator or tv show like sdr2 or only the survivors?
Hoo boy...
Honestly nonny, having only finished the dang thing yesterday I... don't know.
(I kinda went off into a spiel, so feel free to skip to the part where I talk about survivors and what I think happens next)
I understand the mixed response a LOT. I mean- I see what they were going for. The 4th wall break was cool, and the (sorta?) reappearance of past characters was pretty damn awesome. I like that the creators are definitely self aware- and there's a kind of 'learn to laugh at yourself' sort of thing.
On the other hand it can almost seem a little too mocking?
I get the whole yaknow. 'Fictional characters are aware they're fictional and rebel against their creators' thing but- like-?
As I mentioned before, thing is, Tsumugi is not us? We aren't exactly intentionally cruel? There's a BIG difference between the kind of fiction in our world and in their world.
What does Tsumugi call it? "Real fiction"?. Yeah- thing is- we don't have that. We don't have the technology for it, and I certainly hope we wouldn't abandon ethics for it either!!! We can't have 'real' fiction, because in our world, all fiction is fake! The closest you have is fiction about real people, perhaps, but- that's not even remotely the same thing?
So it does come across as a little... um- preachy.
We're supposed to represent the audience but... like- the audience fucking suck! What was that they said during the argument armament? "This guy should have died instead of Kaede!" Like- fucking hell. Imagine saying that to someone, who can HEAR you say it, and who's MURDER you could potentially watch unfold before your very eyes as a result of YOUR actions. I mean- look how empathetic some of us are to ACTUAL fictional characters. Could you imagine if we were in a similar situation to the outside world in V3???
Maybe it's because I keep imagining the v3 cast as like- sentient AI, instead of "just fiction". Because I can't imagine anyone being so sadistic or apathetic otherwise.
So uh- yeah. I don't... know how I feel about that. It's not- very satisfying?
With sdr2, the whole "none of this is real, the killing game is all a lie, you're in a fake world!" felt like a relief ! Whereas here it's more like- "what?? It's all fake? What the hell was the point then?!"
"Nothing matters!" vs "nothing matters..."
The whole HOPE VS DESPAIR, FUTURE VS PAST thing worked, because, well, it's something we can all understand. We have all felt hope and we have all felt despair. We've all, at some point in our lives, felt stuck in the past, unable to or scared to move on.
(Hey- some of us still feel like that now, even).
The first game was very simple- hope and despair. Still relatable, but fairly basic- effective to set up the foundation for the follow up.
The second game made things a little more complicated. Sometimes it's more complicated then just- choosing between Hope and Despair. We refuse to fall into Despair, but we can't just blindly have Hope.
So we choose the Future. We can't promise it'll be a good one OR a bad one. But whatever happens- we need to move on. The only way we can make things change is by making that choice, to create our OWN future.
V3 felt very... complex. It started to get kind of... uh... philosophical? And- don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with that. It just... it kind of shifted from TRUTH VS LIE to FICTION VS REALITY. And whilst the latter definitely sounds interesting- I don't really know if I liked the direction they took with it-? I wish they'd kept the focus on TRUTH VS LIE a lot more.
(Fiction and Reality are like extensions of Lie and Truth but- only to a certain extent? Really?)
It's kind of harder to get into the final fight in V3 because... what are you fighting? The outside world? I mean- I can't speak for the rest of you, but as far as I'm aware I'm not a fictional character.
(If I am- then wow someone's a reallly bad writer huh?)
I can relate to Hope. I can relate to Future.
I can't relate to Fiction.
I THOUGHT maybe the message was a warning of the dangers of escapism ('please dont go as far as to erase your own personality just to be a part of a type of fiction you like' definitely seems fitting for this fandom)- but the message "fiction has the power to change the world!" kinda contradicts that. I mean- I do like that message, but- I don't like the idea of a series about killing games being heavily influential-!
The whole problem was that people grew so obsessed with the series that they threw away their lives! Is that not the point you should be focusing on-!!!!
The outside world in this universe fucking sucks. So they changed their mind, big DEAL! that's not comforting knowing they let this shit continue for 53 seasons-! I mean, maybe Makoto and Hajime were all 100% fictional, but at some point they started putting real people into these games, and everyone was ok with that!
I just-
I'm glad Shuichi got through to them at last but...
Someone said something which resonated with me- "in a vacuum, this is good". Like... on it's own, I thought the ending was great! It was entertaining, for sure. And the whole concept and stuff was unexpected and interesting. You gotta give em points for originality.
The problem comes with it being the 3rd game in a series. (Ignoring UDG I mean-). When a series becomes a Trilogy, you gotta make it good. This is presumably the last game in the (main) series too. And- after the UTTER NARRATIVE DISAPPOINTMENT of dr3- can you blame people for wanting more? People fell in love for THH and SDR2 (and UDG even if its not part of the main series) for a reason- and, for me at least, a biiiig part of that reason was the continued storyline. The last chapter of sdr2 was the hypest shit EVER. when you see glimpses of the previous game bleed into this one, only for it to turn into what's like- a full crossover???? The previous game isn't just mentioned, it's a straight up sequel!!!! I had absolutely no idea Makoto and co would return (i thought the games were separate) so when i saw that they'd be interacting with the new cast- yoooooooooooooooo-!
Hell, even seeing alter ego again made me go WILD.
V3 plays upon these expectations, and subverts them, but... not necessarily in a good way? You- kind of feel cheated? (Idk if you're an avengers fan, but- it's like expecting *Endgame* and instead getting...
Well- Endgame).
The ending isn't bad persay it's just- not quite what one would expect? I can definitely understand why people are disappointed. The problem is, instead of standing alone, you can't help but consider it as part of the series. Individually, I don't think the ending was that weak or bad, but in comparison to the series as a whole?
Meh.
SURVIVORS
(Oh my- I really got off track, oh dear. I'll- get back to what you asked now.)
KEEBO
W H Y
They rllly gonna rub salt in the wound huh?
(Whilst i dont dislike the other survivors, there are a LOT of people i really really wanted to see make it to the end, and it's just the final god damn nail in the coffin to kill off the last of the few characters I came even close to liking the most-)
Killing keebo was dumb
Maki- I liked Maki quite a bit! She's a bit cold, yeah, but I warmed up to her after hearing her backstory.
I found it annoying (if understandable) that no one trusted her at first. I thought it was sweet that her, Kaito and Shuichi had this friendship trio. They really trusted each other- it was very refreshing. I also love me a strong girl. Her romance thing with Kaito was a little... forced. I'd have found it more meaningful if they kept it more subtle/ambiguous (though i suppose they needed smth to use against her in the final trial sooo-).
Himiko-
I-
*sigh*
Ok I'm going to say this once, and once only.
Someoneonthedrteamhasabigthingforlolis
OK! I SAID IT- AND IM NEVER SAYING IT AGAIN
No judgement here of course. Just. Uh. Y-yeah-
(I'm mainly kidding of course, idek if Himiko counts as a loli but-)
I mean... I'm not... the fondest of very small, childish girl characters (Saionji intensifies). I like a bit of childishness in a character but- i mean- it depends.
(I'll never recover from the "seductive whisper" thing from the love suite event
Never.
Never ever.)
Himiko comes across as like An Actual Child at times and at the start it was VERY annoying. Surprisingly, I warmed up to her eventually. I knew in advance she'd be a survivor so i kinda thought "well she's gonna stick around so might as well try to like her". I do appreciate that she underwent a character arc too, and it was sweet to see how she became a more active, determined person. I wish it hadn't taken Tenko's death for her to finally start changing but whatever. She is quite a cute character and after a while became more endearing then annoying.... (for the most part).
Was she in my top 3 picks for a survivor? No.
The top 10 even?
N-no-
I'm glad she's still alive though. SOMEONE damn well needs to be.
Tsumugi- ah. She's not a survivor, is she? I knew well in advance she was the mastermind so I didn't really warm up to her all that much during the final chapters, for obvious reasons.
Shuichi- if shuichi hadn't survived I think that would have been the breaking point for me, honestly.
Overall- uh... they aren't... the ideal picks. Shuichi is the only one I really wanted to see survive, I was neutral towards the others. Tbh I was just happy anyone was alive by the end of that.
Waking up- for the sake of my sanity, I like to think that after the survivors wake up, they threaten to sue and/or maim the shit out of the dr team if they don't start on reanimating their 'dead' friends right fucking now. Surely they gotta keep their consciousness' somewhere in those memories banks right? I mean- what if they ever wanted a "surprise return from the dead" plotline? Surely they gotta keep em somewhere? Right?
Whether or not they reawaken as their in-game or pre-game selves, who knows. Whichever you prefer, I guess. Maybe a mixture of both.

New attire
A/N: So this is a request from @chloerinebarnes and some members of a reallly crazy fam that I’ll be tagging below!
“Bucky x reader where the reader is a recruit. Amazing in training, but a clumsy fuck of a mess out of training. Maybe some recruits or agents doubt her due to her clumsiness?”
Ok, so I HOPE this is good, or at least decent!
Tumblr media
“We’ve chosen you among a wide range of young agents to be a part of the most intensive training to become one of us because we saw potential in you, we hope we can see more of that.” James Rhodes tells you as you walk in the compound after he’s given you a tour of the place. “Now, finally, let me introduce you to your personal trainer.” You both walk into the kitchen which is a bit odd for you, but you ask no questions and follow him.
“Hey, Buck?” Rhodes speaks and the stout figure standing by the counter turns around, still chewing his donut and with white frosting plastered on his scruff. You want to laugh but youre quite driven to his blue eyes and the way his broad shoulders show through his t shirt.
“Hey, Rhodie.” He speaks after he’s swallowed and wiped his lip with his thumb.
“I want you to meet our new recruit, Y/N.” Rhodie gestures in your direction and you step forward.
“Oh, nice to meet you, Y/N.” He offers his hand and as you’re about to shake it, your hand bumps into a coffee cup over the counter and you spill it out.
“Crap.” You murmur, and quickly reach over to grab a paper towel and dry it.
“It’s okay, don’t worry.” Bucky says as he takes another paper towel and helps you out.
“Now this is a way of introducing me.” You say after you’ve both cleaned up the marble, which makes Bucky chuckle and a smile creeps up on your face.
“Call me Bucky.”
“Alright, I’ll leave you two to talk for a while.” Rhodie says and you both look at him and smile, and you thank him for the tour.
“So, Bucky, I guess we’ll be spending a lot of time with each other.” You say as you wash your hands to remove the coffee remnants and he does it after you.
“Yeah, looks like that.” He opens the fridge. “Can I offer you anything?” He takes out a pitcher of water and pours himself a glass.
“Um, coffee is fine, I promise not to spill.” You say after you’ve spotted the light on of the coffee maker. You earn another chuckle from him and he quickly takes out a mug from the cabinet and pours coffee for you, sliding the mug along the marble, and you thank him.
“You know I can be really clumsy for…other stuff, but I’m a really good agent.” Taking a sip of your coffee you realize it’s pretty damn good, and you wonder if he did or not, so you decide to ask anyways. “Wow, did you make this coffee?”
“Is something wrong with it? I can make another badge for you.” He replies quickly with a frown.
“No, no, I asked because it’s great, just how I like it.”
“Oh,” He chuckles nervously. “Okay, then. I’m glad because I’m the one who makes coffee around here, it’s like an unspoken designated task for me, but everyone’s just lazy.” He shrugs, and he makes you laugh.
“They’re lucky to have you, then. Well, that and that you’re a great sniper.” He doesn’t reply instantly and he widens his eyes in surprise.
“You know who I am?” He draws his hand to his chest.
“I did my research before coming. Though I might say, that picture at the museum doesn’t make you justice.” You add, just to watch his reaction, but you kind of meant it, too. He instantly chokes on his water, and you smile at how his cheeks turn red in a second.
“Um…thanks?” He finally replies, with a—very attractive—smirk on his face and you nod.
/
Taking a walk outside of the compound, Bucky has heard a lot about you already, where you come from, why you’re here, and you’re surprised that he’s such a good listener, he understands, he asks the best questions and he laughs at your crappy jokes.
“Has anyone ever told you you’re a great listener?” You finally ask and look up at him.
“Um, actually, no. Am I?” He frowns.
“You are.” You nod. “But I haven’t heard much about you, why is that?”
“I…it’s been a really long time since I could have a normal conversation, you know, it’s…hard to start over.”
“I get it. I mean, not get it, but I see why. We barely know each other but if you ever want to…talk, I’m here.”
“Thanks, Y/N, it’s nice to hear that.”
“You know, I haven’t met anyone else here except for Rhodie, can you introduce me? But only if you want to.”
“Of course, everyone will like you…I mean, you’re…fun.” He speaks very lowly, but you still smile at him and stare at his eyes for a moment, there’s something about them that’s almost hypnotizing. “What? Did I say something wrong?”
“No,” You shake your head. “Not at all.”
Walking inside the compound again, you run into another teammate, and Bucky quickly stops so he can introduce you.
“Sam, this is Y/N, my new trainee.” He gestures on your direction and you offer your hand to Sam.
“Well, well, nice to meet you, newbie.” Sam shakes your hand and glances at Bucky with a smile. “I’m sure you’ll have a great time here.” He shifts his glance back to you.
“I sure hope so.” You nod, looking up at Bucky for a second. You make your way inside and you realize it’s getting late, but you don’t want to go to your room just yet, you wonder why.
“Have you settled in your room? Because if you haven’t, I can leave you to it.” Bucky says, and you wonder how someone can be so polite.
“Yeah, I did this morning before the tour. Are you hungry? ‘Cause I am and I was thinking of ordering pizza or something.”
“No, no, you can’t eat pizza before your first day of training.” He replies quickly. “I can cook something.” His voice is lower, and he shrugs.
“You cook?” You ask, inevitably biting your lip, and you definitely want to punch yourself for it.
“What, you think I just shoot people? I have skills, you know.”
“Alright, let’s see them.” You nod your head on the kitchen’s direction.
Bucky was utterly surprised to see that you can cook too, but he certainly beats you, and you’d really like an explanation for that. He found many ways of teasing you because as you said, you’re a clumsy mess and he is…not. When he asked you to chop some vegetables, at least one piece of them flew away and fell on his side of the counter, and he laughed every time. When he was making the sauce, he asked you to add in some condiments, and, obviously by accident, you added a bit too much of one of them, so he just chuckled and managed to fix it again.
“I swear I’m not like this in a fight.” You finally say and he laughs.
“I certainly hope you’re not or we’re in big trouble.” He shakes his head in disbelief as he keeps stirring the sauce so it doesn’t stick.
“You’ve got a big mouth, did you know that?”
“I thought I was very quiet.” He frowns, sarcastically, letting the sauce boil and turning to face you.
“When you want to.” You stare at him with a teasing smirk and he looks down at his feet for a moment.
“I didn’t know the new recruits were allowed to tease team members, was there a memo?”
“I’m not just a recruit, I’m the best recruit you’ll ever have.” You joke again, and he shakes his head.
“We’ll see that tomorrow, in the training room.” He leans over so his faces is inches away from yours, and you lick your lips and narrow your eyes at him.
“Can’t wait.” You shrug. “Now, check the sauce before you burn it.”
/
A good night’s sleep and a refreshing shower are all you need to get ready for your first training with Bucky, even if you both went to sleep by midnight after having a very long talk about…well, basically anything. It is so easy to talk to him, it’s like he always wants to listen and you obviously want to listen to him too. He’s smart, very smart, he says he has vague memories of being the first in his class back in high school, and you obviously took the opportunity to joke and ask him if Abraham Lincoln was his classmate, which, again, he laughed at. He talked about his dreams of being an architect or an astronaut but there was not much of a choice for him, which genuinely made you sad because he could have avoided losing so many years of his life if only he hadn’t enlisted. Then again, the selfish part of you, the one everyone has and everyone hates, thought that if he hadn’t enlisted you wouldn’t have had that conversation at all.
Scrolling through your phone on your way to the training room you’re step on the first stair, but apparently the next one was a bit higher than you lifted your foot because you instantly trip and fall down, saving your face by putting your hands first, and dropping your phone, which, luckily suffered no consequences.
“You really gotta stop looking at that phone.” A now-familiar voice speaks behind you and you shut your eyes in anger and embarrassment and you turn around and sit on the stair.
“And you gotta stop sneaking up on me and watching me fall down.” You run a hand through your hair.
“You didn’t twist an ankle, did you?” This time his tone is more of concern than amusement, and he rests his body on the wall.
“Of course not, I’m okay, except for the obvious shame.” You roll your eyes at him, making him chuckle.
“Come here.” He offers you his hand and you take him, letting him lift you up rather than standing up on your own, but clearly, he’s strong because as he pulls you, you crash against his chest, and your body is only separated from his by your own hand resting on his sternum. He searches for your eyes and you stare for a moment, forgetting how to breathe for a moment. “Are you okay?” He murmurs, letting you feel his chest rumble against your hand. You nod and smirk, slowly taking a short step backwards, clearing your throat.
“Ready to train?” You ask him and he simply nods, and you both make your way upstairs, rather silently you might say.
Training is probably the funniest thing you’ve done in a while, and you finally got to prove him that you’re actually good at it, and not just good, you’re almost an expert. Knocking him down several times was funny, but your laugh made you weak and he took those opportunities to knock you down, but you couldn’t help but tease him about how that’s the only way he could beat you up. And that wasn’t the only way he could win, he was already winning your heart. You quickly erased that last thought and tried to focus on actually training, but his stupid grins and jokes were making that a bit hard. After a bottle of water and a drying the sweat from your face and neck, you’ve caught some air and now sit on a bench, fixing your braid.
“What, are you tired?” He mocks you as he stands in front of you, with his breath so steady and his face barely sweating it’s almost annoying.
“Well, yeah, I’m not a super soldier, remember?”
“You forget I’m a hundred years old.” You narrow your eyes at him and bite your cheek, wanting to snap that smirk right out of his face. But there are other ways to do that.
“Yeah, but age doesn’t count for you, stop gloating. Besides, I could totally beat you, and you know that.” You take another sip of water and stand up, stretching up a bit and gaining some composure.
“Okay, okay, in all seriousness, I don’t think you need training at all, you’re a natural.” He shrugs, but his words hit you deep in your gut. Does that mean he doesn’t want to do it? Wait, why are you feeling like this? You haven’t known the man for a whole 24 hours, what’s going on with you?
“Oh,” You reply, not realizing how your features changed. “You really think that?” Your voice is lower, and his face changes too, as he takes a step forward, kneeling so he’s at your height.
“I didn’t mean it like that, I’ve definitely…enjoyed this. I just meant you’re a really good agent.” His hand falls over your knee and your breath hitches, but you’re unable to part your gaze from his.
“Thanks.” You whisper. “But I really like training with you.” You speak boldly, earning a wide grin from him, making your insides warm in a second.
“Oh really?” His gaze quickly drops to your lips and you nod, putting your hand over the one that still rests on your knee. “I like training with you too.” He murmurs, but his sentences is barely finished by the time your lips are pressed to his, and his surprise comes out as moan that fans against your lips. You smile against his, amused by his reaction and you draw your hand to his jaw, caressing his scruff. He pulls away, faster than you’d like and he lets out a breath as he searches for your eyes, but it takes you a second longer to open them and come back to Earth.
“Do you train like this with everyone else?” You tease him, licking your lips to subtly let him know you want to kiss him again.
“No, doll, and I don’t intend to do that with anyone else.”
/
Fixing your hair in a hallway mirror, you make sure your braid is tightly done and there are no lose strands of hair. You smile at the reflection of Bucky walking towards you and hugging you from behind, already in his new suit.
“Hey.” You smile at him and turn around slowly, taking a step backwards to take a look at his suit. “I’m not sure brown is your color, baby.” You wrap your arms around his neck.
“Oh, yeah, what’s my color then?” He smiles at you. You tug at the straps over his chest and he pulls you closer to him, if that’s possible.
“I actually prefer it when you wear nothing.” You murmur with a shrug. He chuckles and pecks your lips. “When we get back from this mission you’re asking for a change of those boots.”
“What’s wrong with my boots?” he asks.
“I don’t know, they…don’t go with the rest.” You shrug. “But definitely keep the pants.” You bite your lower lip but he dips down and kisses you, grazing your lip with his teeth as he lets go.
“Why do you like the pants?” he frowns, knowing what kind of answer he will get, but he refrains from laughing until he hears it from you.
“They bring out your…thighs.” You pause before finishing that sentence and he laughs now, hypnotizing you with that lovely sound yet again. “Don’t laugh, I’m complimenting you!”
“I know, doll.” He nods. “I’m glad you like the suit.” You run a hand along his left arm, sliding it up until it reaches his neck, letting you feel the warmth of his body against your skin.
“I like how it looks on you, but I’d like to take it off by myself someday.” You wink at him and turn on your heel to walk away from him, only turning your head to see him looking down at his feet with his fists at his hips.
“You can’t do this to me right now, Y/N! We’re about to go on a three-day mission!” He exclaims as you laugh at him from a distance. You really know how to tease your boyfriend, you’ve known it since the day you met.

EVALUATION
Overall this unit has thrown many challenges at me but I am happy with a lot of my outcomes throughout the unit. The first 3 one week projects seemed pointless at the start as they were so short however I soon realised they were so helpful in the overall scheme of things. Each topic from the one week projects all was helpful to the final project so therefore we needed those short ones to give us the knowledge and understanding of what needed to be done for the final 4 week project. My first outcome for series and systems was not necessarily very successful as I didnt seem to get the grasp of how informative it needed to be. I do think my second and third outcomes for project 2 and 3 were much more successful because I did wider research which informed me how I should be working.
For the exhibition project I am actually really happy with how things turned out. I created a coherant exhibition based on the theme of value. Because there were more elements to this project the breadth of my research went quite far and I didnt have singular bits of research which informed everything as it was a longer process and things changed over time. I did get inspired by Tomohiro Inaba however which what got me to the idea of rubbish drawings and scribbled so he was my main artist inspiration. I took inspiration from sculptures to create my own design choices which I think is great because I am going outside just the designers and looking at other mediums to inform my design choices, I like looking  into other mediums because I think you will get a more unique outcome from it.
My exhibition went through a few changes as time went on. I started out with just the idea of literal rubbish and was potentially going to be using real garbage as my main brand identity but then I got to the idea of rubbish drawings. This initially was a really exciting time because I thought of an idea out of nowhere and immediately got excited by it because I had lots of ideas running through my head. At this point i knew it would be a good idea to run with it because if Im excited myself about something I think I will always have a better outcome because if you start creating something you arent keen on your hard work wont go into it. Whereas I loved my idea from the start so was really keen to get ideas and trials done. The scribble idea did develop from me encasing scribbles into shapes to then having it all manic and being the main focal point to the design. I do like my brand identity and think it relates to the content well with a nice contrast.
Throughout the project I think I responded to feedback really well and found the tutorials really helpful especially as they were one on one mostly. While speaking with tutors they did seem to like my design choices however I learnt I do need to work on the treatment of my text on poster. I usually have nice ideas but then when it comes to layouts of where text goes and sizing I think I need to work on it. Also during a tutorial with Rich he did mention the name of my exhibition and thinking of just calling it ‘rubbish’ and at first when he said I thought well I should change it because he will mark the work but we had an honest conversation where he said as designers we need to be making our own decisions and take the feedback as just an opinion but not necessarily something we HAVE to go with. I was pleased we spoke about it because it meant I knew I could just stick with what I had because I did like my title and thought it gave an interesting twist on your average exhibition names. That being said I did take on board all the other feedback he gave me and tried and tested lots of trials for my brand aswell changing the posters font type etc.
I think throughout all 4 projects I did work through the process quite well however I do feel I do lots of research in a short burst and often dont make my own comments on it straight away and therefore forget so I need to start making notes all the time and straight away so that the tutors can see I have a wider breadth of research. I think need to work on time management for the next project because during  this project the first 3 projects were ok because I knew I had only a week so It gave me the drive to get everything done quite quickly. But for the final project I left my process book way too late because I wanted to do lots of it at the same time to keep a flow going. I should have listened to rich at the start of the unit where he said dont leave it too late because there is a lot to do. I ended up rushing the end of the book and therefore dont think my process book is very coherant in terms of the design. I was really happy with lots of the pages I did however. I think I still need more practise on the softwares such as after effects which I still dont feel very confident on. I am a lot happier with where I am on indesign though as I am using a grid which In first year I was quite bad with as I was always wanting to break a grid. I understand now a grid can be broken if its done right and not on everything I do.
During the exhibition project I used photoshop a fair bit for some of my designs so I learnt a few things on there which will be useful to me in future projects im sure. I also learnt case binding during the unit which isnt relevant to my work but wanted to mention it because I was so happy with my outcome and everyone I showed said it looked great. I reallly do enjoy book binding and really want to learn more tecniques for future use.
As for final outcomes I am fairly happy with everything however if I had more time I would do some adjustments. For example I really wanted to recreate my brand logo/identity because as discussed in a tutorial it shouldnt have been white text and should be transparent. I agreed but had loads of other things to do so couldn't do a new one ready for hand in as it took a long time to get it right. I also would look again at treatment of text as I think font size is too large still even after reducing it a couple of times. I also would look into more wayfinding systems to see if I could come up with another idea for that. As wayfinding was something new to me I was struggling to get to grips with what to do with it but I do think I came up with a nice idea which worked well with the rest of the exhibition. I would also have another look at the process book and give a more coherant feel to it as its slightly manic in terms of being quite different, however I am happy I tried lots of different layouts etc because I did feel really free with my own book and felt I could trial and error lots of things which will help in future because I know what looks good and what doesnt.
Overall I think I created a really coherent exhibition which had a system throughout. I think I answered the brief well and applied a system across many platforms this was really important because I wanted an exhibtion where all aspects worked sympathetically together. I was happy I created an identity which worked black and white aswell as colour because it meant I could apply my system to any background it needed to go on. This is really important because it means its more diverse and can be promoted more freely and on a larger wider scale. The unit has been challenging but mainly useful and inspiring. I enjoyed the final project a lot and have come out of it with so much more knowledge and understanding as a designer which I can take through to future projects.
