I love hearing what other ppl like so please do!! I also like R&B a lot i just forgot to mention it when i was talking abt genres i like earlier bc i was too focused on rap 🤭 and im the same way tbh! I do the same but im trying to get back into better habits like journaling, like sometimes i just cant cry because ive bottled everything up for so long. So i very much urge ppl to cry when they can because its not a great feeling not being able to cry when you need to cry. Like even if its small, cry about it its fine. Its human to feel the full spectrum of emotion.

I forgot what voice i used for my character but i think it was some generic dude voice, i have been a little out of practice with my deeper voices though. But my voice is usually pretty deep anyway, i pitch my voice up a bit when im at work bc i dont want to scare the old timers too much. I hate to admit that my favorite voices to try to do are meatwad from aqua teen hunger force and stitch, theyre like the same voice to me 🤭 i do it for funsies, but in my teen years i did it a lot bc my friends gave me approval for it 🤭

Soo maybe i might budget to get my hands on those perfumes ☺️ i'd like to know what your favorite perfumes smelled like on first hand bases. This is a second best, best would be smelling it on your neck<3 theres a certain cologne i fell in love with years go that ive been trying to get my hands on, its polo red by ralph lauren it had smelled so wonderful to me.

Candles are a lot to take care of so i get it. I just have two main rules i follow for the life of my candle and the safety of my cats. Im the type of person where if i see soot in your candles i try to clean that out to lessen fire risk bc they can be dangerous, its something ppl never notice but thats ok i just want them to be safe. I used to play with the wax like that too!! It low key led to me trying to experiment a little with wax play which was interesting to say the least.

i actually use the chicken/egg farming family pretty often just because its hilarious to me to give dave like. an actual mom and dad. hes literally an uncle to like three different kids he just never visits because they make fun of his skinny jeans and he hates one of his (incredibly bare-bones ocs all of them) brothers who threatened to bash his head in with a little league bat after dave broke his star wars lego set apart on accident (but not rlly) so their parents were like “why dont you stay with your brother in the big city for a lil while champ” and then they just never picked him back up? and thats on favoritism 

the other one is that his name is actually david reed and hes the middle child of a family of three who literally live the standard golden retriever white middle class life only they went to disney land or something equally as dumb one year when dave was like 6 and he wandered off so bro literally just went “huh free game” because frankly he was an idiot who thought maybe i should take this kid home because its real dangerous in parking lots and then it was too late to NOT have it seem like a kidnapping and thats why daves never had a summer job, seen his birth certificate, or gone to school. but vaguely remembers what kindergarten was like and having a pet dog and calling someone mom as a kid.

i hate it so much but you know the whole vr loli trap voice shit that was popular a while ago? hes fucking baller at it for some reason. he did it as a joke while talking to bro and they both about shat their pants. if im feeling real ambitious, hes got a separate soundcloud solely dedicated to doing dumbass rap covers or making his own but in the voice under the pseudonym elizabeth “beth” davids that he will never admit is his. well, he will, but hes gonna be really fucking embarrassed about it. irony or not.

talking abt seperate soundclouds and stuff ive always had it where turntechGodhead was his like. essentially internet fucking persona facade shit he used because we all had that phase where we wanted memorable urls and stuff but also didnt want to totally ignore the nagging fear of people finding you in real life, until it turned into real life ppl finding you on the internet. so he also has basically an adjacent set of social media under the same name but its just a boring username i havent decided on so everyone he knows irl doesnt mix up with what hes made for himself as TG and the people he knows as TG dont know what highschool he goes to. (this occasionally comes with the territory of ppl on parp being pissed that daves “lying” or “hiding things” from his friends as if he was doing it out of spite instead of just keeping embarrassing tagged photos and videos from football games or when he ate shit at the skatepark from fucking with his “rap career”)

every once in a while i get on a kick where hes just german. like, i just replace houston texas with hamburg germany and have him apply to a university in whatever state is applicable for whoever im chatting with and it goes from there? sometimes he moved when he was little and went through the whole visa thing, sometimes he didnt go through the visa thing, sometimes hes a dual citizen because of family and shit, its all dependent on what suits the situation best. 

one that ive been fucking with for a while but hardly break out (until recently with like 5 roses in the span of one day hell yeah) is that he has a neighbor at the end of the hall who is like a thousand year old witch lady that hes basically adopted as his mother figure in lieu of not having one and shes totally cool with it, especially bc when she kicks the bucket she fully plans on giving dave all her occult stuff so her figure-skating coach and realtor daughter doesnt sell it at a garage sale and lets it all go to waste. she also once brought rose up by name in a conversation without any prompting of her existence which dave didnt realize for days, and then one time cryptically stopped and stared at an empty space in the wall, went “she has potential, you know.” then looked at him sitting on her kitchen counter with a smile “lots of it” and hes thought about that weekly ever since. (it is important to note one of the occult items he leaves her is literally her own personal book of shadows shes been filling out for decades its like a 600 page leatherbound book dave has no idea what its used for but the sheer amount of homemade spells and etc in it is like. gonna murder rose the second this chick gets her hands on it i promise you.)

theres the standard strife shit? im not rlly gonna get into those theyre all basically cookie cutter bullshit. its just standard bro and dave abuse talk. i like to inclulde the whole 24hr live cam up in the apartment that definitely watches dave in every room besides his own and the bathroom, but that quickly delves into the prospect of middle-aged men stalking him online and basically sexually harassing him in his own god damn home by talking about how they can see him just trying to take his shoes off in the living room after getting home and frankly? its not one of my best takes! but once you throw it into the headcanon bin, its there forever. 

he actually really does do something with his photography but not enough to warrant anything exciting, but he has his own branding for it and regularly takes pictures of his friends or anything else he thinks is moderately interesting enough to take pictures of, but those are just thrown into shoeboxes under his bed in favor of posting genuine shots because he wants to keep his image intact and blurry photos of jade smiling in the tree they climbed up together while bec paws at the base of it while whining isnt exactly something he wants the whole world to see.

i also pretty often but him into either paleontology OR i put him down as trying to become a mortician because he thinks handing roadkill once he graduated from museum giftshop specimens to doing his own taxidermy on the side has prepared him enough to perform an occasional autopsy and start embalming real human corpses. (sometimes i put my own desires in and make them his bc i have to project at some point and put him through the same EMT course i dropped out of bc it was one semester and he already has pretty decent first aid skills, but he definitely didnt expect it to be as fucking wild at times as it is, but whats he gonna do? get a job back at waffle house? the company hes working for just offered to pay like half his associates in paramedicine tuition and hes already got all his pre-recs done when he started for paleo. at least its a stable job and hes got the ability to be compassionate in the moment) 

im running out of things that ive done to the poor kid. OH 

hes not a virgin he had a girlfriend all four years of high school (shes also one of his optional and designated exes plz keep up) and their relationship ends in one of two ways: she dies in a car accident a week before their high school graduation, or she stops talking to him entirely a week after their high school graduation until a couple years later she gets into (guess what) a car accident with her current wife/girlfriend and dies which leaves behind their daughter. who just so happens to also be daves daughter. her name is hannah and i love her like my own but no one ever likes her and thats on the conditioning of dirk. does dave end up taking her in? yes. shes awesome and the first time he takes her to the park to like run off some fucking steam she disappears for two minutes and dave is moderately terrified until she comes back holding a dead baby squirrel and thats the moment he realizes huh maybe things really do be genetic.

ok at the bottom of the list im gonna add the couple of times hes been a camboy which usually coincides with the live apartment cam thing and the amount of people in his dms calling him hot or whatever, but typically its more of a started the day he turned 18 and basically dipped around 20 in favor of showing up randomly with no warning to complain about a video game dick in hand because it gives him an outlet that wont annoy his friends bc this is the fifteenth time hes had a lot to say this week about a certain boss battle and also the comments fuel his ego and daddy issues.

the last one wasnt the bottom but literally unless its explicitly proven otherwise every time anyone rps with me there is the underlying fact dave strider was a goalie on his high school lacrosse teams all four years and (shocker another one) definitely had the hots for one of his teammates like major hots like first gay experience hots. like it was painfully obvious that teammate also liked him back hots. like one night at a team sleepover one of the other guys was like can yall just makeout and get it over with were fucking tired and dave really had the balls to be offended and ask what the fuck they were talking about while literally sitting halfway in the mans lap bc for some reason they had to share the same chair. 

he is also guilty until proven innocent of being the worlds biggest loner outside of that sports team and even though hes literally a jock he still opts to eat his lunch alone in the hallway or something like that and has a tendency to leave girls on read, but bc hes got an in with the rest of the jocks hes basically drug around to plenty of parties and since hes conventionally attractive enough and popular in the aloof way that he is, hes got plenty of tagged insta posts and twitter directs and snapchat streaks going.

Unpopular opinion... I love Soo Ah... as in ofc I despise her and hate her guts (and good job on the actress for portraying that fake biatch so well), but she is an awesome catalyst on exposing human filth...like the best, a human Instant and Effective Stain Remover: Tide to Go!

 I personally have met manipulative people like her and it’s the worst because even after you’re on to them, no one would believe you “that person is so sweet, treats you so well, if there’s a problem you must be misunderstanding, poor thing, don’t be so harsh!”... but Soo Ah in her lovely path of destruction, while always coming down unscathed, manages to unmask the worst of the people around her... and that is pretty awesome. What I mean is, like a catalyst, her presence causes people to become desperate and reveal their true self, sparing others from being fooled for a long time until they find out what their colleagues really are like (and that does, in the long term, spare the pain of disappointment with the end of an otherwise longtime friendship). Her little push exposed that Senior as a creep, which in turn forced that disgusting behavior to stop. She hinted to her colleague’s boyfriend she might be into him, which in turn led him into actively trying to cheat on his GF and being caught early in their relationship, instead of long term (bc let’s face it f*ckboy would cheat eventually, with any other woman). Of course Soo Ah is doing all of this to feed her own ego, it’s just a happy coincidence that her addiction to attention seeking correlates with exposing crappy people.

Soo Ah truly is a goddess of destruction, she’s serving karma left and right until karma finally gets her... and watching it is very satisfying.

My I.D. is Gangnam beauty has felt to me, since the first episode, as a spin-off of Cheese in the Trap (I know, they’re based on different webtoons, but still...).

There are a lot of parallels between both dramas, the college setting, the introspective feel, the group mentality, perception and manipulation of everyday life to serve the basic human need of putting others down to feel superior, the need to establish themselves on a hierarchy, the relationships, mostly opportunistic and self serving, and finally the place of real sentiment and feelings on such a cynical world.

I do have a lot of unpopular opinions on Cheese in the Trap as well, the main one being that BOTH the main leads are terrible people (they are not exactly the villains, but imo neither are they heroes of any sort). But that doesn’t mean I dislike them, I actually love them. They are a twisted fascinating pair and they deserve each other, after they get their heads straight and can break off their toxic habit of treating each other as they have treated others, since they were hurting each other (leading to another unpopular CITT opinion, which is that I loved the ending, since they absolutely needed time apart to learn how not to destroy each other).

The reason I’m mentioning CITT (besides being awesome, so rec) is that (again imo) the leads weren’t good people because they had a kink: they loved watching ppl bury themselves deeper and deeper into holes. 

Seol had a passive aggressive approach to it, which was to pretend to be a doormat and let people drag her around, assuming they were in control, only to force them to accumulate enough mistakes on their own until it all fell apart (playing as the victim, letting misunderstandings occur when she could easily stop it earlier). Yoo Jung had a more proactive approach, setting traps for others to fall into. 

Both CITT leads had a knack for making people spiral out of control... like Soo Ah, they were also catalysts, but sometimes I couldn't help notice that the punishments were too harsh for their misdeeds (a rude attitude that in itself was reprehensible, but not criminal, would often turn, through the traps and mind games, into psychotic actions that would lead to the complete ostracization of the character, and total mental breakdown). The leads we’re supposed to root for did that... and yet, in here Soo Ah, the villain, but still somehow harbinger of justice as a byproduct of her attention seeking, is by far less harmful than those leads. In MIDiGB, the characters seem to be getting just or even lenient punishments for their crimes. Harassment is a serious issue, yet that senior, besides the damage to his reputation, didn’t really suffer any more major consequences for his actions. The cheater bf will be justly dumped and that’s it...

As MIDIGB is coming to an end, I don’t think there’ll be room for much more development for Soo Ah, which is a shame, since I would like to know how she got that twisted psyche. My guess is deep abandonment issues...

Anyways I’m loving Soo Ah and MIDIGB and I really hope they don’t ruin it in the end because this and CITT would make an awesome future double binge-watch.

Where do you find books to read? Like how do you come across them? I see from your goodreads you read some more obscure classics, not just the very popular ones. I love your taste in books.

Lots of books I’ve discovered when I went through certain phases. For a couple of months I was in a French phase, so I’d read only French lit, then I’d fall in a Russian spell, then German etc. It also helped that my hometown library had the foreign lit section organized on writers’ nationality so…i would just pick up the titles that were most attractive or that i’ve heard about. This was pretty much how I started.

The more you read the more you start to notice works being referenced in books so…you have to check that out too, right? Gotta cover everything. I had to read “Faust” since it was mentioned so often, for example.

Other ways are just snooping about, seeing what other ppl are reading(i love those lists made by famous celebs), checking if a film you’ve seen&loved is based on a book, or simply checking the recommendations Goodreads itself will give to you(they’re very good sometimes). Also, goes without saying, if you like an authors work, seek out what else he’s written&try to read that. See if he falls within a certain literary movement, investigate about that&pick the titles that appeal to you the most. And never be afraid to ask for recs from other people.

At last, some good books come your way very randomly. Spend a lot of time in bookstores(once a week, or every two weeks), check out the titles&book covers, whatever draws your eye. It’s how i found some of my very favourite books ever(obscure titles too). Best bookshops are second-hand ones, they have the real gems!

Basically, I’d say just build your base with the classics-you’ll  see how easy it is to go from there in discovering new works&how you can “build” your own method! ♥

1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean? bleh I have two usernames, and both stories are embarrassing LOL I’ll go with my actual ao3 name though I guess?? When I was in middle (?) school I used to watch the anime HOTD, which is like...awful first off. It’s borderline hentai, shitty fanservice, the whole thing (don’t ask me why I watched it, bc who knows, the music was A+) but my favorite character’s name was Saya, and her servants would call her ladysaya, so that’s the explanation for that ha. I put the x in front because I used to be obsessed with x men and all the marvel/dc animated series, so it felt appropriate pft. Man, even talking about this brings back so many cringe worthy memories lmao forgive me. 

2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (Bookmarks/ Subscriptions/ Hits/ Kudos) for Haikyuu!! it’s definitely Slipping Underneath, and for K Project it’s There You Are <3 

3. What is your AO3 profile icon and why did you choose it? It’s Semi! The reasoning for this is because I have 3 fav Haikyuu!! characters: Tsukishima, Oikawa, and Semi. So I just try to distribute my love evenly tbh lol. I have a Tsukki icon on here and discord, Semi for AO3, and Oikawa is on my phone case ^^ 

4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters? ahhh I have several but I’m not aware if many of them have tumblr?? A lot of people who comment on every chapter of my multichapters are very special to me, I love them all! 5. Is there a fanfic you keep going back to read again and again? Ah damn there are so many lmfao, I have a lot of fav fics and I don’t want to make this post super long. Or also message me for specific types of fics <3 I will say though, one fic I always go back to read even though it’s been YEARS is a kyoukao fic by potionwine! 

6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked? I consider myself pretty picky, but I do read a LOT of fic, so I have a decent amount of both ^^ About 187 bookmarks, and 16 fic/author subscriptions! 

7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most? Probably college?? even though I know that’s super broad, and all kinds of different AUs can be based in college but that’s how it is lol. I think that’s because I honestly don’t like redoing AUs?? I like experimenting and making up really weird shit and original scenarios as much as possible. Though, I’m sure you can find apparent trends across all my fics ^^

If so, share it!) not really honestly, if I have an embarrassing or indulgent idea at this point, I just write it lmao idc but there are lots of types of fics I am scared to write just bc I don’t know if I could do them justice heh....

19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write? Well I’ve always loved to write so no, but @brynne-lagaao is a big reason I started writing sarumi fics back when I was in K fandom! And nowadays in the hq fandom, a lot of amazing authors really push me to keep writing ^^

What writing advice would you give to a beginning author? don’t be afraid to write and write whatever you want basically lmao I know it can be daunting if you think your writing skills aren’t matching up with other authors, but the best thing you can do is practice, practice, and eventually you will see results! Also read a lot, reading other ppl’s stories really helps, and above all, just have fun with it! 

21. Do you plot out your stories or do you just figure it out as you go? I try to have a basic plot (beginning, middle, end) because I used to just DIVE IN to stories and it was awful lmao I need some sort of guideline, even if it’s small

22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do? yes ofc, but I honestly try not to dwell on them because they’re not worth it. I either ignore or delete in most cases

23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (Action, smut, etc) action and smut are never easy for me lol

24. What story(s) are you working on now? well right now I’m working on two secret santa fics for iwaoi, as well as my two kurotsuki multichapters! I am also trying to write kacchako as a x-mas present for a friend lol

29. What is your least favourite story that you have written? fuck me, Pencils and Paper LOL it was an earlier sarumi fic of mine and I just...hate it. I’m not even gonna link it LOL

Overall Thoughts Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d predicted? I wrote way more than I predicted bc I never thought I’d produce fic at all, but I actually published a oneshot or chapter at least once a month since june. What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January? I would’ve never guessed I would become 100% certified jinkook trash this yr and would’ve laughed in your face if you told me otherwise lmao. I didn’t even know who jungkook was until feb!! in fact despite always having a soft spot for bts and following all of their music releases I was like actually ‘I don’t think I’ll ever truly stan them’ lmfao. my life is a joke. What’s your own favorite story of the year? forever yours. it’s basically everything I ever want to happen in a fic. seokjin as an academy award winning actor? jinkook writing a song together? jinkook going on cute dates and continually supporting the other as they fall deeper in love? ugh my heart. the idea is so dear to me and it’s my baby. and even tho bangtan disbanded in the fic, they all found their own success and they’re rly close friends. I fucking love the ending too omg. I did my best to make it rly gratifying and make up for all the stuff jungkook went through earlier. plus I love fics based on idol/band verse, canon/divergence/future fic and I liked weaving in canon elements to it. it makes it feel more real imo.

Did you take any writing risks this year? uh, not rly? other than writing and publishing my first fic ever. and I guess actually shading big hit/bang pd lmao. as far as I know of, no one has done that before? and multiple ppl have called me brave for doing so lol. to try to write longer fics I guess. there’s this 10k fic I’ve been planning forever but still haven’t gotten around to even tho I kept meaning to write it next lol.

From my past year of writing what was… My best story of this year: definitely forever yours. honestly sometimes I feel like it’s my peak lmfao. like I will never able to match some of those descriptions ever again. whenever I’m struggling to write something and I go back to it I’m like HOW DID I WRITE THIS?? and when ppl tell me I’ve made them cry and laugh omg. I almost don’t believe it. I don’t think any of my fics have elicited such a reaction and I think it’s the one that affected me most. I hurt my own non existent heart. My most popular story of this year: forever yours lmao. not only does it have the most hits/kudos/comment/bookmarks, but it’s the fic I most often see ppl reccing, screaming about, and quoting on twitter. I love it tho. pls continue screaming about it and @ me!! The story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion: lights go on again. it’s gotten the least attention of all my fics so far. idk if it’s bc ppl are sick of me already or if I rly offended that many ppl by insulting their precious bang pd oppa lmao. also yo where all the jin stans at? I thought at least they’d appreciate its contents lmao.

but also rollin’ the deep bc I actually like that one a lot now and it’s the second least popular lol. but it’s on par with light me up and I expected that based on the content. ofc the fics with jin winning an oscar and shitting on the mother/son trope would gain the most traction so I’m not surprised. The most fun story to write:

us against the world! the idea of everyone hitting on jin and jungkook getting jealous was too good to pass up. I had so much fun writing taehyung’s scene omfg. I actually started it with it lmfao and it seems like most ppl agree. hoseok’s always makes me laugh and ngl I feel like a genius whenever I reread that fic lol. :’) definitely my peak humor and probably the funniest/crackiest thing I’ll ever write.

Story with single sweetest moment?

it’s a tie with forever yours’ birthday scene and light me up’s christmas decorations. but overall rollin’ the deep made me melt the most with how overwhelming sweet it was. I live for soft sweet jinkook doing grossly romantic things for each other ok. The story with the single sexiest moment:

jungkook wearing lingerie in light me up, definitely :x tho the smut scene in forever yours is infinitely better imo. I will unfortunately never able to write a smut scene that good again but I think it’s the intimacy of the moment and the way it’s written that makes it so special, hence why I like it so much. The most “holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you” story:

idk? me attempting smut even tho I’m terrible at it? quoting myself I actually said “writing sex is honestly so hard already I would never waste my time writing it just for the sake of it if it didn’t have any meaning” yet the smut in light me up was the first scene I started writing. I am a goddamn hypocrite lol. but it’s sth I thought I’d never be able to write bc a few years ago I would get so embarrassed by the idea and would want to throw myself off a cliff at the thought lol. The story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:

none of them rly. I just write jinkook like I how see them. their interactions just come so naturally to me that it’s one of the easiest and most fun things to write in my fics. The hardest story to write: honestly… light me up. all my fics get rly hard to write one point and I always start off hating the first drafts bc they’re complete garbage but I fucking suffered the most writing that one. literally took fucking forever to wrangle the sex scene into what it was. it was hot ass fragmented mess that I had to slowly unravel and reorganize one sentence at a time. I didn’t even want to look at it bc it was so bad lol. and two of the most pivotal points; the lights  and lingerie were awful at first so I struggled to make them good enough to rly stand out and to a standard I was pleased with. and transitioning the first scene into the second one where jinkook kiss under the snowfall and the ending were fucking hell too. you can ask kaleidotears, I was bitching to her the entire time lmao. albeit vaguely bc I didn’t want to spoil anything. I started a month in advance bc it usually takes me that long to produce something and as the date approached closer I was lowkey panicking and almost thought I wouldn’t make it lol. The biggest disappointment:

lights go on again. not only is the reception lackluster compared to my other fics, but it’s honestly the weakest thing I’ve written so far. I’m seriously considering orphaning it but idk :( The biggest surprise: idk. I was honestly fucking shellshocked when us against the world got over 1000 hits in less than 24 hrs tho. I never expected that kind of reaction, especially for my very first ever fic. I honestly thought no one would want to read my fics lol. but also when ppl say I’m their favorite or one of their favorite authors?? like in what in the hell. I consider myself an amateur bc I have never written consistently before in my life. I’m new to the whole fic writing scene. I’ve actually spent the majority of my life hating my writing lmao. or when ppl praise things I think I’m shit at lol. I also like rollin’ in the deep a lot more than I thought I would considering it was just a dumb fluff piece to satisfy my thirst. I wrote the first 1300 words in a waiting room and I was like I don’t have to make this perfect bc it’s stupid fluff but I legit melted writing it. oh and publishing the first chapter of forever yours in two weeks after my first fic. how in the hell did I ever write 9k that quickly I will unfortunately never able to do that again.

The most unintentionally telling story:

I’m not sure what this even means? a lot of myself does bleed into my stories I think. like even if the mood varies depending on the scene I feel like my voice carries through? they just sound like me and it’s something that can’t be repicated lol. like my fics have a shit ton of cussing which is part of it lmao. but also sometimes I give jinkook aspects of myself like seokjin doing aegyo and being clingy when drunk (which is actually real omfg I’m a genius sorry) and jungkook not realizing when other ppl like him. also by reading my fics you can tell which groups I stan, what foods I like, etc. and ofc when I start waxing poetic about their looks or voices or talents that’s all me lol. Fic-writing goals for 2018: to finally write the ideas on my ever growing list. my last three were completely unplanned and were random spur of the moments. but I wanted to write something for jin’s bday. I could’ve written something short from my list but I wanted to do christmas lights and jungkook in lingerie so :x also to take my sweetass time until I’m perfectly happy with everything before publishing and not rushing out fics anymore. I’ve learned that when I try to write something as fast as possible for others—it goes wholly unappreciated like the last chapter of forever yours and light me up. like half of the original commenters disappeared despite finally getting the happy ending they cried for and being so excited for the fic? lol idk what happened but there’s no way I could’ve messed up the last chapter that badly… but yeah it’s just not worth the stress lmao. ppl just don’t understand the effort, time, and pain it goes into producing something.

what dramas would you rec? except the ones with shinhye ive seen them all lmao

HOO BOY imma spam u with a lot of them that i watched and loved there’s a lot so this goes under the cut sorry for the wall of text:

reply 1988(!!!!!), reply 1997 - (havent seen reply 1994) both are very heartfelt and really make you feel for the main characters and really dive into the Zeitgeist, their humor is pretty silly and some of the plot is based on a love triangle, but honestly the kind that doesn’t annoy TOO much. 1988 is THE BEST drama i’ve ever watched i honestly Will Tear Up if i hear a song that was an ost for it… it’s not just fixed on the love lines but also shows you the characters as people, tells more about the parents of the main characters and kinda makes you understand all the people that surround the leads and not just leave them 2-dimensional person cutouts with a quirk like a lot of other dramas are guilty of,  which i really appreciate….. a MUST

age of youth - sometimes funny sometimes real, it’s about 5 girls that room together, how they get along (or don’t) about their lives and how different they are. a good watch

school 2013 - lovely drama about the hardships of a high-schooler without any (!) love lines!!! tbh tho has a v heavily implied one between the two male characters played by lee jongsuk and kim woobin (if you look at everything through gay glasses like i do ahahaha) it doesn’t have too many tacky cliche kdrama things in it so i appreciate that

doctor stranger - to continue on my lee jongsuk spree (i lob him) this drama!.. it’s wild tbh! it does have the tackiness and cliches but tbh?? it’s worth it…. if you like genius doctors and north korean spies and this sort of thing this is the drama for you

it’s okay it’s love - lovely drama that touches upon issues of mental health and makes you genuinely care for the main two characters!

my love from another star - THE kdrama to watch.. tacky cliched but funny and heartbreaking.. i avoided it for so long because it was very popular and i feared it’s another Heirs (*shudder*) but it’s everything you would want from a kdrama tbh! alien with superpowers, evil ceo’s and all of that junk

signal - crime drama if you’re into those, very interesting plot about a detective from today talking with a detective from the past through a walkie talkie. REALLY good casting like i loved the characters and how the actors portrayed them

weighlifting fairy kim bukjoo - pros: cute and hilarious. cons: makes u wanna have a bf/gf SO BAD!!!! veeeeery good drama!!!!!!!!

moon lovers - lmao…. its’’ interesting… it was the first period drama i ever watched (technically the main character is transported back in time but n e ways) and i was on a weird rush waiting every week for the next episode so idk if i can judge it objectively.. but it was rlly good the princes are all super handsome and i quite enjoyed the production value of their costumes sets and shots.. be warned itll break ur heart

next are a few that i either havent finished or would rate as a 4:

healer - i never finished this one bc.. idk…. i got distracted i guess?? but it’s VERY good, a lil tacky a lil funny, a lil thrillery, a lil romancey, keeps a good balance between these imo

goblin - the HIT of the season which i was too disinterested to finish tbh ahahah… i’m not saying it’s bad it’s just i personally had beef with goblin’s character (hes a DOUCHE), but even if you don’t like him like i do it’s still worth watching for the side-romance (*for the grim reaper :3 )

w two worlds - another lee jongsuk drama with a very cool idea abt manhwa characters living in a parallel world and sometimes being able to pass here and viceversa, but imo got too dramatic at some point so i dropped it, but some people liked it all the way through so!

i hear your voice - never finished it bc the age difference of the 2 main characters didnt sit right with me, but like, its lee jongsuk :3 

misaeng - postponed it indefinitely and mb dropped it?? but it’s very sweet but maybe not too eventful, talks about office life and relationships you build there, pretty good one

kill me heal me - i actually finished this one but WITH SO MUCH PAIN!!! the light comedy segments of it are v good, and the plot is pretty interesting (abt a man with dissociative identity disorder). but the drama/plot part is SO OBNOXIOUS like you’ll have to watch the same flashback shots at least 5 times in every episode and it takes them THE ENTIRE SHOW to get to the ~big reveal~ instead of like… talking once.. to each other… a lot of ppl liked it but i personally dont recommend

the lover* - the * is bc it’s hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe not really a drama but like short comedy sketches but in a drama-ish format?? their humor is very Hit or Miss, but if it’s a hit you get to watch a canonically gay relationship (*crush) :^)

alright yall!! okay just so yall know i have acne prone sensitive ass skin (also a lil oily) so i break out over everything and like this routine is just specific to my skin and even if ur skin is like mine this routine might not work for you its just my recs and what i use that really worked on my skin!!!

so in the morning its real simple i wear makeup almost everyday and before i started this routine i thought that that and living in NYC was why I was breaking out so much but its not??? lol Also I made a masterpost from websites I buy from for skincare!!

okay so in the mornign i was my face with AROMATICATEA TREE BALANCING FOAMING CLEANSER ($22) 

its pricey af but it WORKS WONDERS I was so scared to use it bc i  thought my skin would purge like it usually does when I switch cleanser but it didnt at all!!! Western cleansers have always failed me and left my skin in worse condition and this brand and everything on this website is Korean and has really improved my skin so quickly!! The aloe helped with the redness and inflammation a lot! like my face feels and looks so different omfg and I dont feel dry after using this like with other cleansers.

I use that cleanser on the MORIHATABINCHOTAN FACIAL PUFF ($15.50) and lightly exfoliate.

Again, pricey but worth it! In the past I used konjac sponges off amazon that worked pretty well but I feel liek this one works a lot better! I dont like using my hands to rub cleansers in and rotating brushes just tore my skin apart and this is perfect it leaves me feeling clean but not like completely stripped. I actually fucking bought this for $20 when its $12 online smh but what made me get this was how it mentioned protection/cleanliness from polluted air. Living in NYC, I’m exposed to that everyday and this really started showing results within days of using it. It’s aloe based which again helped with my redness and inflammation. My dermatologist told me to stay away from things were salclyic acid is the highlighted ingredient--this toner does use it but its not the main thing. Western toners from popular brands that used salicylic acid just left my skin feeling dry and stripped and I’d break out even more bc of them. This toner isnt drying at all!! Next, I moisturize. Because I have horrible hyperpigmentation and terrible scars my derm recommended I use sunscreen or moisturizer with sunscreen during the day. So I use Simple Facial Moisturizer, Replenishing Rich ($10) and mix it with Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 100 ($7)

I put these on under my makeup. I like the Simple moisturizer bc like I said I have sensitive skin and its made for ppl with skin like mine and it doesnt feel heavy and I find that products with more natural products work better for me. You can get both of these at Target. 

After I moisturize , I spritz my face with the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater ($12 on Amazon--Hautelook is having a sale on Mario Badescu right now tho!)

This Just makes my skin feel really awake and refreshed. I wait a few minutes to let it sink into my skin then I prime my face and do my makeup. Im a bit extra and use foundation with SPF in it for more protection lol. Product description:

All of these products have been key to keeping my skin moisturized, prior to using these my skin had dry patches and just didnt feel nice now its way softer and smoother.

NIGHT

OKay nighttime is when it gets REAL

First, to remove my makeup I use Palmers Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil Face ($8 at Target)

OKAY, THIS CLANSIG OIL!!! OMFFFFFG!!!!! LIKE YALLL SHE TAKES EVERYTHING OFF!! AND YALL I WEAR FULL COVERAGE THICK ASS FOUNDATION, CONCEALER, HIGHLIGHT CONTOUR AND LIEK CRAZY COLORFUL EYESHADOW EVERYDAY AND THIS BITCH TAKE EVERYTHING OFF WITH EASE!!!! I’ve tried cleansing oils before but this is the BEST one I have ever tried. I just pump it into my hand and rub it into my face til everything melts off lol. I rinse my face and do like one more pump just in case and rinse again. Like yall....everything COMES OFF. I bet my whole blog. I will delete if yall come to me saying this didnt help take your makeup off. It’s made with Jojoba and Rosehip oil which do wonders for removing makeup. Product description:

Okay, so after I rinse the oil off I go in with my Makeup Remover Towel (I got mine at Marshalls for $4 but you can probably find one online--it may be more expensive tho)

Okay, tbh the cleansing oil I listed above pretty much removes like up to 95% of the makeup. This cloth is fairly easy to use and honestly a better investment than makeup wipes. Makeup wipes again would leave my skin dry and irritated and only contribute to my breakouts. Even tho it doesnt seem like it, this can remove a lot.  Its easy to use, you just wet it, wring out the excess water and just wipe your face the same way you would with a regular makeup wipe. This removes any traces the cleansing oil didnt pick up (which is usually some mascara and left over eyeliner and some foundation around my neck). Once your done with that you just clean it with regualr soap and water! Like this is gentle on my skin and cleans up all the left overs. 

After that, I go in with my AROMATICATEA TREE BALANCING FOAMING CLEANSER ($22), I use that cleanser on the MORIHATABINCHOTAN FACIAL PUFF ($15.50) and lightly exfoliate which gets rid of any excess traces of makeup, dirt and oil. Then I go in with the toner I listed as well. Sometimes I’ll do a facemask and I dont really have a preference--I’ll link the masterpost I made of the skincare places I shop at and I recommend any masks from them.

Once all thats done, I go in with my [Ost] Original Pure Vitamin C20 Serum ($16 on Amazon....I paid $20 in the store 🙃) 

But yall this stuff really helps. I’m not seeing like results super fast but I’m feeling them and seeing them slowly over time and its only been two weeks so in a few months I’ll probably see more! But if you have dark spots, scars, and hyperpigmentation INCLUDE A VITAMIN C SERUM!!!! Also make sure you keep this one refrigerated or it will go back and stop working. If it is an orange color instead of clear it is bad and is not gonna work. I was originally recommended the Mario Badescu one which people RAVE about but its $45 however, if you wanna indulge Hautelook is having a sale on the brand.  But yeah, the serum not only helps with dark spots but really helped with the texture of my skin. Its a lot softer and more elastic.

OKay, after the serum I add my Curology prescription ($20 for a 90 day supply--your first bottle is free you only have to pay for shipping)
