I haven’t even watched British Bake-off but just hearing about their Mexican themed episode is making me claw at the curtains. British people call tomato paste with onion ‘spicy’ salsa ffs
#not a single episode#but I have strong food related feelings#I was explaining to someone how much I missed ceviche (it isn’t specific to Mexico ik) and how I wish I could go down the street#and sit outside while being harassed by pigeons with my colada and little bowl of ceviche#and when I explained what it WAS they looked horrified#especially when I mentioned that it doesn’t have to be FISH it can be lobster or shrimp or even octopus (Peruvian ceviche my beloved)#so I do not trust British people with this lol#the only reason I wanna go home is so I can have REAL food#no an empanada is NOT a pasty you tit#(affectionate)#(sometimes)
