I have circumnavigated from 8tracks though some a capella bands to singing Disney songs and ended up on this song and like. I still love it so much, even after all those years. it’s been haunting me this week. aaaand I started rewatching the movie since it’s all on youtube. it’s based on a novel which I absolutely loved in middle school, and it is still very much close to my heart. aaaaaaaaaaand I just realised that I totally shipped the dads, even back before my silly self knew what shipping was and before I comprehended that gay relationships existed. I mean?? two middle aged guys raising their kids together??? BOTH OF THEM ARE ENGINEERS WHICH MEANS HUGE NERDS?? in Africa????? going on a journey to find the kids after they got kidnapped by the rebels? and then still living together after that afair??? idk, my ass was on them, they were suspicious. ANYWAY, love the movie, love the book, highly recommend if you want to watch some old-ish Polish cinema (the movie is from 2001, like The Witcher, but it doesn’t have stupid outdated CGI so it’s way better. the novel’s from 1911, and written by one of my favourite writers, Henryk Sienkiewicz).

How Far I’ll Go - Auli’i Cravalho: this is damn great for singing out loud at the top of my lungs. fits my register perfectly.

Life on Mars - Aurora (David Bowie cover): I love Aurora, and David Bowie, and this is just SO GOOD.

As The World Falls Down - Girl in a Coma (David Bowie cover): yeah, female covers of David Bowie are A Thing™.
