thoughts on how the Inazuma Archon quest went [1]

i'm including the interlude chapter here b/c tbh i need to have no more procrastination excuses. SO!

Kaeya and Lumi've been in Liyue for a bit now, doin their thing. Lumi's doing a lot of exploration / learning about this nation, Kaeya's helping her out while also expanding his connections, etc etc.

So then Ningguang drops the whole "who wants to help rebuild the Jade Chamber~~" so ofc the Traveler Trio is like "well obviously this is a great idea". like who wouldn't want to ask Ningguang a question ????? so cue the Trio deciding to take it upon themselves to help fix the Jade Chamber

i feel like when they first stumble on Shenhe, Lumi and Kaeya have a moment of like "well she gives off Vibes(tm)" and immediately debate if she's an adepti. ofc, even if she is an adepti, getting harrassed on the street isn't cool. Kaeya gets the Millelith, and everything's aok.

Lumi: you okay? Shenhe: Shenhe Lumi: bless you. Shenhe: my name. Lumi: OH.

i'm like 90% sure Kaeya is Concerned that Shenhe doesn't know what laws are, but Lumi is like unfazed b/c she, too, had to learn the laws of this world. however, EVERYONE is bewildered by Shenhe's choice to eat medicinal herbs. like,,, girl,,, u live like that?

Paimon: she's totally an adeptus Kaeya: nah she's got the vibes but she's not an adeptus Lumi: maybe she's one of those pilgrims Xiao mentioned once. like the ones that go into the mountains for adeptal blessings? Kaeya: oooo, that's a good guess. how much Mora u wanna bet? Lumi: let me see what i got on hand... Paimon: why are u two like this. Kaeya: you not betting? Paimon: ... 500 on her being an adeptus.

anyway, Shenhe joins the club and they have to convince her not to murder everyone. Lumi's already a little bit feral, so poor Kaeya's got a lot to juggle between Shenhe's "dispose of the competitors" and Lumi's "kinda tempting ngl".

another highlight from this quest: Xingqiu: so that thing ur looking for is like 500 million mora Lumi: wh....at.... Xingqiu: oh, I said it's 500-- Kaeya: no, don't repeat it, you might kill her. Xingqiu: ... well, it's not worth it anyway, so don't worry about it!!!

since Paimon, Kaeya, and Lumi have a bet on Shenhe, i feel like Shenhe yapping abt the adepti keeps making Paimon go like "heheh i'm gonna wiiin" and Lumi and Kaeya are just like "hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm". they probably started doing bets like this b/c of Zhongli, tbqh.

ok i gotta scramble the next part out b/c i have work soon, but i swear i'll continue this when i can.

She's awesome!#WE ARE OFFICIALLY ON Day 2 BABY #yes- there is still a little everyman easter egg as well as some other things... ;)#I tried so many new and different things for these panels. I was a little nervous implementing them. But im having a lot of fun with it!#i try to put my own artistic enjoyment above all other things :) its what I strive for.#Angle's landing day! excited for the festivities!#Chara is feeling stabby :)#loved detailing Chara's hand in the last page. When I detail the hands- just know shits getting real #I'm really happy with how I was able to redraw Toriel here. #Fourfold Soul #<- That's the title of the project I've been working on!#I am very excited to finally show off the cowboy (gender redacted) I've been cooking in a slow boil!!! Yeehaw!#Yes this is the game project. YES I am commited to the bit of having the main character go through a long running pronoun-quest.#This character does not have a name so I cannot formally tag them...#(Okay. Technically they have an internal name for coding/scripting reasons...and I have a nickname for them.#But the important part of making a video game character you get to eventually name is that the name must come from *you*!)#The girl here is a npc so she has a temporary name. So I also cannot tag her. Hmm...#I have several FFS comics thumbnailed out. This one got made first because it's the funniest without context. Lore wise it's weak.#I would love to post the sexy clown but you have to wait just a few more comics.#Fun artist woes moment to share: This is the first time I've had to colour these characters traditionally. *That* was NOT fun.#Going from a specific digital colour palette to being at the whims of my limited colour choices in markers? Hell! On! Earth!#I might also be extra frustrated because this sure is 3x the length of what I usually do for comics! I spent a Whole Day on this.#Past me thought it was soooo funny and needed all the extra panels for pacing. I hate past me. That guy needs to be exploded.

Gonna add a greyscale version, the sketch this was based on under the cut, but all I really have to say about this is that this is the first time in a long time. Maybe even years. That I've sketched up a simple doodle and had it grab me by the soul and rip and illustration out of me. This is also the first illustration in a long time where I enjoyed the whole process. I also tried different techniques and stuff here and I'm in love with how this turned out actually

So now my sibling does durge and I regular tav Viivi #(changed her to tiefling for funs)#at least I meant to do regular tav but uhhhhh things have gone very unfortunately very fast #anyway. Viivi is an artist; she does painting sculpting poetry and some prose. Experimenting with this and that #unfortunately she is deaf which made making connections a bit hard in the fine arts world #fortunately she has a patreon with one very generous patron (she's fey warlock)✨ who has bestowed some gifts of charms for her #which have opened doors of many art galleries #She's not a fighter so although she is confident in her own lane she is also very aware of her mortality #so she avoided any fights she could #which might have saved her but also got her into the mess of her lifetime #you see she couldn't fight the entire goblin camp and their leaders. She would've just not survived that. So she convinced them #that she is a True Soul. She is good at convincing people. It worked. They thought she is on their side. Good #Halsin also though Viivi was on their side. Halsin attacked Viivi's party. Now Halsin is dead.#So Viivi and her group were still alone deep within enemy fort. Viivi made new plans. She frees the prisoner who says he will warn the grov #Good thinks Viivi now they know to flee. I will go to Minthara and tell we got the information from prisoner of the grove location #she will trust us and we walk off #when we get back to grove they have not fled and Minthara is at the gates #Minthara wants Viivi to sound the horn. Zevlor wants Viivi to sound the horn. Viivi asks Zevlor to please tell this plan in detail.#Zevlor says just blow the horn already. Viivi does that. Minthara thanks Viivi for leaving the gate open as planned #Zevlor does not thank Viivi for that. Viivi is confused as she did not leave the gate open. (for real the damn gate was left open)#So I did a Massacre.#now Karlach is gone Wyll is dead. Lae'zel is also dead #but apparently Minthara is ready to be very loving and sincere with Viivi. The most helpful person she has met in very long time.#Viivi might love her #so that is how she's doing.

saying this as respectfully as possible but. Do not put fandom content creators on a pedestal. We are also just fans contributing to a community just as you are. We have boundary on our own work and that’s it. What I say is not and should not be considered sth the whole fandom should listen to. I’m just a normal ass person ranting about things on my blog. If it does not have a fandom tag for others to engage in, do not make it out to be me trying to start fights or addressing the whole community. Because it’s not.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, my art, my lore talk, is biased. I’ve never tried to hide that I view Marika a certain way and will always develop my theory following that base assumption.

Aside from translation stuffs and pointing out in-game items, everything else I say you can look at it, agree or disagree, and move on to form your own opinions. Just because I draw stuffs doesn’t mean you get to saddle me with responsibilities about managing fandom expectations. What the hell? I’m a fan artist, I’m the last person who you should look at for “leaderism” (?) WHAT?

I can and will be a hater in my own space, like I know sometimes other artists will just post their stuffs and not engage too heavily with fandom, and for a while I did try to do that here (because I’m already a dramatic ass on twitter), that’s just not me though.

You will get art and you will get my opinions as well.

My brain gaslit me into believing that Valerie got her outfit upgrade in D-Stabilized because she was the only remotely acceptable thing about that episode, so imagine my surprise upon watching Flirting With Disaster again and Technus, Lord of Drip and Shipping Gray Ghost, shoots her with the drip-upgrade beam and she (and everyone else standing around her) doesn't even question it.
