‘You didn’t have to do that, you know.’
His voice lingers in the air like a sweet scent of honey, and pulls her to a halt just before she reaches the stairs leading up to the dormitories.
Ginny turns, drawn by the ever-familiar sound that still makes her heart sing despite herself, and finds Harry slumped in a solitary chair at the far end of the common room. His head rests in his hands, his shoulders seem stiff under the weight of his own exhaustion. And yet, his voice is soft - so soft that she wonders if she’s imagined it. It’s only when she notices his gaze fixed upon her that she has the confirmation that it was not just a trick of her mind.
The quiet in the room is mitigated by the gentle crackle of the fire, its warm glow flickering across the walls, and by the occasional whispers of a few lingering Gryffindors, not yet ready for sleep.
She smiles gingerly and draws closer to where Harry is sitting, the air around them feeling somehow thicker and thicker at every step she takes towards him. She is sure, quite sure, to notice his posture relax, his muscles loosen, and for a fleeting, desperately terrifying moment, she just knows — he feels it, too.
She stops right in front of him, her knees slightly brushing his, and she realises she’s been holding her breath.
‘Do what?’
She knows what, of course, but her throat has suddenly gone dry under the weight of his unwavering gaze, never once leaving her.
He smiles tentatively, and it still feels unreal that she can make him do that, that she can be the reason for it.
‘Well.’ He shrugs. ‘Telling people off on my behalf.’
She hums, then winks at him. ‘You looked like you needed saving, and I do have a debt to settle.’
He snorts, the glimpse of a short-lived moment of lightheartedness brightening his eyes, then quickly shakes his head, coming back to reality.
‘Everyone is right to be disappointed, especially you’, he says, then pauses, staring at her intently, struggling to find the right words. ‘Because I-’.
What he did remains hanging in the air, his voice breaking right in the middle of it. She tries to contain the urge to sit on the armrest of his chair and to throw her hands around his neck, holding him tight, telling him it’s OK, he’s OK, and they’ll be just fine.
Instead, she looks at him, faking a shrug to dissimulate a shiver.
‘You took orders from something someone wrote in a book.’
There’s another pause, a beat, and the air around them suddenly feels unbreathable.
‘Yeah.’ His eyes flash before her, and she feels them burning on her skin, like the scariest and yet most beautiful thing she’s ever seen. ‘I’m very sorry, Ginny.’
How do you tell someone, you know, I think I’m in love with you. I think I’ve been for the longest of times and damn you, damn you, for looking at me like that right now. Just when I had almost moved on, just when I had almost let you go. Damn you for having those eyes, that face, those hands. I’ve spent so many sleepless nights over the years, but your smile is the most beautiful sunrise I’ve ever seen. I want to spend my days telling you about it, laughing with you, crying with you. I want to kiss that sad frown away from your face and make all this disappear. I want to take your pain away, I want to make you smile like you do until the air in my lungs runs out. I want the good, I want the bad, I want it fucking all.
I’m so screwed, she concludes. She gives in, stops resisting. I’m so fucking screwed.

Note
i'm gonna sound SO stupid but I need to know what the HELL that snuggle ending was about. I feel like I'm just holding onto a thread of understanding. Like, I feel like I'm able to comprehend what happened but that's just unconsciously. If someone asked for me to explain it then I cannot. SO WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?!
under the cut you're getting the short answer and then a longer one with some lines straight from the script (both contain spoilers)
with the base of the wing made of wood surrounded by intestine, his body couldn't reject what was foreign. it forcibly tried to assimilate the wing and that's why he ended up rotting (dying)
bones, organs can be assimilated by his body while wood can't
but why didn't this happen with the little branch + intestine test then?
because it wasn't as big and heavy, his body wouldn't react so fast, so badly and because the organ didn't fully trap the branch in
Tumblr media
(see when he sews the intestine around the actual branch, he makes sure it's properly sewn/covered)
now ill be bringing up a couple lines
starting with the ones right before the branching
Tumblr media
first sentence there, she was on the right track! but right after, her thoughts shift because of what eric taught her (not physically, he did not break her bones), and because of how she views bones as weak. if weak and flawed humans have them, they can't be that strong now can they?
she's not objective and she doesn't test any more than that. after the eric line she simply lets him choose because she herself doesn't feel like she can/should
Tumblr media
there you learn that nothing is visibly wrong, yet clearly something must be.
this goes back to the fact that the foreign is completely trapped between the intestine and his body (see silly drawings). nothing is showing there because the rotting is still happening inside for now, it hasn't spread enough to be visible on his skin
but how do you actually know that he's rotting inside? well!
Tumblr media
opening him up leads you to the answer!
Tumblr media
that "rotten cage of his" comes from eric thinking 'starling isn't that much better, he has bad intentions, he won't let you free' but it also hints at a) rot being the cause of starling's current state and b) his ribcage weakening, decaying
it's confirmed right when she's able to break his bones to fit in!
(slightly unrelated but i am a bit obsessed with this idea of breaking a cage to willingly trap yourself/be a part of something)
as for his death itself, it's confirmed by the lines that follow and of course eric had to blame her for it ("How suffocating.") right after she put her cheek on one of his lungs...
i could go on for longer but ill stop there before this gets too out of hand
hope that answered the question and if it didn't, feel free to tell me!

THE CYBORG WHO STOLE MY HEART (Bucky X F!reader)
Tumblr media
A/N: I know I know, there's another Bucky fanfic that I'm already working on and yet here I am starting a whole new one. Why you ask? Because I'm a dumbass. The idea just popped up into my head and I HAD TO write it down. Hope you enjoy it.
Chapter 1 :
Chapter summary: Bucky and Sam come across a woman who seems to have lost her mind. Literally. Using Bucky’s cyborg brain, they try to figure out who she is.
Chapter warnings: Mild swearing.
Tumblr media
You know when you're having a great dream with a hot guy that could only possibly exist in dreams ? The happiness that breathing the same air as him brings you? That's what you were feeling right now.
Eyes as blue as the ocean, veins that were easy to put an IV in and that black shirt phew. Was it possible to drool in dreams? You were going to have a great day once you woke up. That was for sure.
Why was he looking at you like that though? Weren't they supposed to be flirting with you or puckering their lips in your dreams by now? Was this supposed to be a slow burn or enemies to lovers genre dream?
"Why is she staring at me like that?" the hot guy asks the air next to him.
"She's just coming into it, give her a second." it responds back to him.
Wait, what ?
"Are we sure she's alright and not having an absence seizure?" the air voice asks.
"She's alright. Probably in shock." another voice responds.
Shock? From seeing that beautiful man in front of me? Sure.
Okay, focus.
Wait, it's a dream. Why do you need to focus?
Eyes, the colour of piss , come into focus. "Cannn youuu hearrr meee?"
"Why are you speaking like that?" you manage to ask, still trying to figure out if you'd accidentally taken shrooms.
"Not a seizure then." the voice from earlier comments.
Piss eyes looks proud of himself. "I told you, she's in shock."
If this really was a dream, it would have to be the strangest one you have had in a while. What in the actual cockfuck was happening?
"Youu areee in theee hosp-ee-taalll. Weee---" piss eyes sounded like he was having the seizure.
"Stop talking like that." you say, blinking rapidly to clear the dark spots from your eyes. Things were starting to feel more...real. A heaviness settled over your head, every breath seemed to send a slight sliver of pain through your side and your arm felt numb.
Dreams weren't usually ultra-realistic, were they? Only one way to find out now.
"Is she...pinching herself?" hot guy asks, that strange look on his face.
A set of cold hands clamp your hands down.
"HEY." you say, the slight sting of your pinch confirming your doubts.
"Self hurt or mutilation can be a side effect. We need to restrain her for her own safety." Piss eyes speaks rapidly and you hear him muttering to himself.
"I'm not...is this not a dream?" you finally ask leaving the room in pin drop silence.
"I don't think so...unless Wanda is upto something again." air voice sounds a bit unsure himself.
"Wanda?" the name seemed familiar but in this state , you could barely remember your own name.
You try to get up only to be gently pushed back down by piss eyes. "You probably shouldn't be doing that. Bed rest for the next 10 days, I'm afraid." he says not sounding apologetic about it at all.
"What even happened? And---" you're cut off by air voice.
"Where are you? Well, the Avengers compound. Now, don't get too excited and all. We can make you sign a NDA , but we aren't going to because we're hoping you're trustworthy. Stark said you might be...useful. Now, if you're feeling upto it, how the hell did you end up in the middle of a cemetry half dead?"
You blinked once, twice, thrice.
"Who is Stark?"
Tumblr media
"Listen, man. She's got to be living under a rock if she doesn't know who Stark is. That guy has been stuffed down everyone's fucking throat." Sam tells Bucky as he takes off he looks at their new visitor.
Bucky doesn't respond and instead stares at Sam with a poker face.
"What's going on in that cyborg brain of yours?" Sam isn't phased by Bucky and his staring anymore. He was however very sure that Bucky would not be bringing home any ladies with that serial killer look.
"What if she's lying?" Bucky finally says, turning to look at the CCTV recording of the room you were in. You were sleeping again, knocked out by the pain killers.
"Lying about not knowing Stark or not being able to remember what happened to her?"
"Both."
"What purpose does that serve her?"
"Well, that's what we're supposed to find out."
“How exactly are you planning on doing that?” Crossing his arms over his chest , Sam raised an eyebrow at his cyborg friend.
“I’ll think about it.” Bucky walked past him, grabbing his jacket on the way. “With my cyborg brain.”
Tumblr media
“I understand that you want to get some answers” you said for what seemed like the 100th time, exasperation taking hold of you. “I honestly cannot remember what happened. I’ve thought myself into a headache. I’m sorry, okay?”
Sam looked defeated as he let he shook his head. “It’s been two whole days. Now, I don’t want to seem like a dick and question you in this state but we need some goddamn answers.”
“Too late for that I guess.” you muttered under your breath.
“Huh?”
“She said ‘too late for that I guess.’” The hot guy, Bucky, was his name chimed in.
How the hell did he hear that? As if reading the question on your face, he simply said “Advanced hearing.”
Okkayyyy.
Sam on the other hand was giving you a flat look. You gave him one back.
“I’m feeling much better now. Can I atleast get out of this damn bed?” you scratched near the iv line, wanting to just rip it out. “Piss eyes told me I shouldn’t but I cannot stay like this.”
“Piss eyes?” Sam was clearly running out of patience.
“The doc. Is he even a doctor? He’s very…”
“Sort of.”
That explains it.
“She’s right.” Bucky takes a step forward, looking at Sam. “Walking around will help her recover faster.”
“THANK YOU. See , I knew you were the smart one.” you give him a wide smile to which you get a poker face in return. Embarrassing. Not letting it deter you, you pull the iv out.
“Hey !!” Sam steps forward, surprised at your show of stupidity.
Before he can reach you to help you out of bed, you’ve already stood up. Which was another stupid move considering that the entire room was spinning around. Holding on to the wall next to you for support, you blinked rapidly.
“That’s another concussion waiting to happen.” Bucky commented dryly.
After regaining some semblance of direction, you managed to stand up straight ignoring the slight stab of pain in your chest.
“Much better.” you say, taking a step forward. The pastel pink tee and pants that had been given to you did not compliment your current condition, you knew. To be quite frank, you were a good looking woman too. Always have been. Then why the hell was Bucky looking at you like he was going to stab you right then and there?
“Uhhh…now what?” your suddenly felt extremely awkward in front of the two men.
“Don’t ask me, you were the one who wanted to do this.” Sam still had an arm out, ready to jump into action in case you cracked your head on the tiles again. Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Bucky make a slight movement. Thank fuck you did because the next thing you knew , you were holding a dagger 2 inches away from your chest by the handle.
Silence engulfed the room for a good 20 seconds before it was broken by a very calm “What. The. Fuck.” from Sam.
You looked at Bucky who stood in the same spot like nothing shocking had even happened. Finally a crack of a smile appeared on his face.
“Told you she was lying.”

Natasha Romanoff x fem!reader
A Family of Her Own Series
10/10
Masterlist | General Masterlist
w/c: 7.9k
Summary: After the fall of the Avengers, Natasha Romanoff returns home to her secret family—a life she's carefully hidden away for years. Struggling to balance her role as a mother and wife while avoiding the dangers of her past, Natasha is forced to make difficult decisions that impact her loved ones.
This Chapter: Natasha makes the ultimate sacrifice.
Note: I spent my entire Sunday writing this. I paused and rewound the movie 50 times. I utilized ChatGPT to help me with timelines. I read the script. I pulled out all the resources to ensure I did my big one for y'all. Special shoutout to Grammarly Premium for making my writing look and sound professional-like. Enjoy =)
Breakfast was always something Natasha found important. In her mind, it was more than just a meal; it was the fuel that powered her through the day. She never skipped it, a rare and comforting constant in her life. Even now, in a quiet city apartment far removed from the chaos of her past, the ritual of making breakfast each morning grounded her.
In the Red Room, food was always viewed strictly as fuel, something utilitarian and calculated. She never spoke much about those years, especially not with Nicky—he was still too young to understand, and she didn’t want that darkness clouding his view of her. But she could remember the harsh regimens, the rigid routines, the lessons drilled into her: taking care of herself wasn’t a luxury; it was mandatory. A weak Widow was a liability; weakness was something she had never been allowed to show.
She tried not to think too deeply about what her training had left her with—it was just one more thing in a long line of things that had happened to her.
"Mama, I'm almost ready," Nicky shuffled to the room with his laces untied and jacket hanging from his body. Ollie walked with him at his tail. He sat next to Natasha, looking up with big, hopeful eyes.
"I don't have anything for you, sweet boy," Natasha smiled apologetically. Ollie whined and laid his head on the floor. Natasha turned away from the dog to inspect Nicky. He was sitting on the floor, his hands attempting to tie his laces as his little tongue stuck out.
"What do you need, Myshka?" Natasha asked, and Nicky held his foot up.
"I can't do the knots, they're too small."
Natasha smiled and tied his shoes. She stood up, and Nicky followed suit, his coat fully zipped and his backpack slung over his shoulders.
"Can we stop for hot chocolate on the way to school?"
"I made breakfast," Natasha shook her head.
"Eggs and toast again?" He asked as he sat at the table.
"Eggs and toast," Natasha nodded. It was all she knew how to make without burning.
"Okay," Nicky sighed, "but I want a donut tomorrow."
Natasha rolled her eyes.
"We'll see," she answered.
"It's a promise!" He said.
"You know how I feel about those," she chided. "I don't make them unless I can follow through."
Nicky dug into his eggs and toast with a resigned but good-natured sigh; Natasha sat across from him, her phone buzzing softly on the table. She’d promised herself that breakfast would always be their time, uninterrupted, but the messages were piling up.
Okoye: "Natasha, we’re seeing unusual cartel activity in Mexico City. I think it’s Barton."
Rhodes: "Saw the same. We have casualties this time—he’s not holding back anymore. Might be time to intervene."
She rubbed her temples, reading over each message carefully. It had been like this for months: catching glimpses of Barton’s brutal one-man war, getting vague reports, but never close enough to reach him. And each new incident seemed to confirm what she already knew—Clint was spiraling, slipping further away with every mission.
Nicky munched on his toast, his little eyes flitting between her and Ollie, who was sulking on the floor. She gave him a quick smile, trying to shake the tension out of her shoulders, and typed a response.
"I'm on it. I'll be at the compound in an hour," She typed.
"Who's that?" Nicky asked, his eyes still watching Ollie.
"A friend," Natasha said, putting her phone down. "They're working on a case."
"The Avenger kind of case?"
"Exactly the kind," she nodded.
"Can I go on a mission with you someday?"
"Hmm, you have to finish first grade and learn to tie your shoes," She said. "Then we can talk."
Nicky finished the rest of his breakfast, and Natasha helped him clean up and get his backpack ready. As she grabbed her jacket, Natasha saw a message flash from another chat, this one from Nora.
Nora: "Hey, are we still on for tonight? Let me know what you’re in the mood for."
They’d only met a few months ago, but Natasha was easing into an unlikely friendship with Nora. They both tried to ignore the fact that they'd almost slept together. Their camaraderie was something she needed during this time. Someone who didn't know her world. Someone as a listening ear.
She hadn’t told Nora much about her past or work—what she could share, anyway—but Nora seemed to sense her guardedness and never pressed for more.
Natasha quickly typed back:
Natasha: "Still on for tonight. Maybe something low-key? Let’s catch up."
She tucked the phone into her jacket pocket and helped Nicky and Ollie out of the apartment, locking the door behind them.
Their walk to his bus stop was uneventful. Nicky counted the steps to the corner, babbling to her about something she had no idea about. Traffic at this time was nonexistent, especially after the Snap. It was just her, Nicky, and Ollie walking, their steps in sync.
"Remember your homework and ensure you're practicing your cursive," she reminded him.
"I know, I will," Nicky huffed.
"Have a good day at school," Natasha said, crouching down to Nicky's level. "I love you, always."
"Love you too," he leaned in and kissed her cheek. "Bye, Ollie!"
He ran off, his backpack bouncing with him, as he met the other children at the bus stop. The bus rolled in, and the children all piled in. Natasha stayed until the doors shut, and the bus disappeared from her view.
This was their normal.
********
The training room was quiet, and the soft hum of electricity was all around her. She could hear the shuffling of her feet and the clank of the bag as it hit the floor.
It had taken Natasha a while, but she found her rhythm again. She stood in front of the mirror, wearing a simple black shirt and sweatpants, her feet grounded to the floor as she pulled her hair into a tight, controlled bun. Her fingers moved with practiced precision, twisting and pinning the strands into place as if the routine and discipline would quiet the noise in her mind. Every movement felt deliberate, a small act of control.
The soft padding of her shoes across the floor felt comforting as she moved to the center of the room. She stretched, her arms reaching above her head, bending into a series of quiet, fluid motions. There was a certain peace in this, a kind of grace she hadn’t known she needed until she found it again.
She moved through pirouettes, the motion sharp and fluid before she landed softly back onto the floor. Natasha paused, standing tall, breathing steady. She was a soldier. A leader. A mother. But for this moment, she was just a woman, letting her body regain balance.
When she had the time, she would sit in this training room. Sometimes, she'd cry. Other times, she would dance when her mind and body needed it.
Today, she'd danced.
Her hands came up in a strong pose, her right leg pointed, and her left hand raised.
The music started with a quiet melody.
Her muscles remembered. Her body knew what to do.
Natasha took a deep breath, and then she began to dance.
The ache in her chest seemed to tighten with every motion, a dull, constant throb she couldn't shake. It wasn't the physical exhaustion, the burn in her legs from stretching too far, too long—it was the grief, the absence, a constant reminder of what had been taken from her.
The anniversary was coming up. Eight and a half years together. She tried not to think about it, but the numbers wouldn't leave her alone. Five years lost. It felt impossible to imagine what those years might have been. What would life be like now if it were not for the Snap? If not for the universe tearing itself apart?
Stella would be nine. Natasha could almost picture it: a small girl with dark, wild curls and an infectious smile. Her eyes would have sparkled with the same mischief as you. She would have been old enough to start thinking about her future and to ask questions that Natasha would have been too tired to answer. But you'd have done it together, as a family.
Natasha stopped suddenly, her foot hitting the ground hard.
A lump had formed in her throat, and the tears threatened to spill.
The pain was like a knife, a sudden, violent stabbing deep inside.
There may have been another baby by now. Maybe she'd have been thinking about balancing the mission, the children, the quiet mornings, and the long days filled with reports and decisions. She'd have retired by now. She'd have given up avenging, given up this life of constant motion, just to hold onto the people she loved.
Her mind wandered, remembering how you’d looked when you held Stella for the first time, the joy in your eyes as you held that tiny life. Natasha wanted to hold onto that memory. She wanted to feel the weight of her daughter in her arms again. But she couldn’t.
Her foot faltered as she spun, the motion too sharp and quick. She caught herself, steadying on one leg before continuing the movement. Her body knew the steps. It was the heart that was falling behind. She could push through it—she always had.
But today, the ache felt too much to ignore. She wished for a moment that she could turn off the grief, pretend that it wasn’t there, that it didn’t eat at her every time she saw a family or a couple. Every time she saw a child running through a park or a mom at the grocery store. Every time, she thought about the future she would never have.
*********
Natasha sat among the ring of holo-screens, only half listening to the chatter from each team member. Rocket, Carol, Okoye, Nebula, and Rhodey spoke, trading updates and frustrations across the galaxy. She held a small peanut butter container in her hand, absentmindedly scooping out spoonfuls as she listened. The sandwich in front of her remained untouched. The familiar, salty taste grounded her, though it did little to quell the churn of thoughts spiraling within her.
The screen shifted to Rocket, whose frustrated voice was loud and clear.
Rocket's voice rang from the Halo. "So, thanks for the hot tip."
Natasha smirked a little despite herself, watching the banter continue between him and Carol. But her mind kept flickering back to the breakfast she'd rushed with Nicky, how she'd promised him she’d be home after her day at the compound. She'd need Nora to pick him up from school again.
Carol’s voice cut through the chatter. "The things that have been happening on Earth have been happening everywhere else. On thousands of planets. You might not see me for a long time."
Natasha swallowed another spoonful of peanut butter, feeling the weight of Carol's words settle over her. It was a reminder of just how enormous this loss was—this endless damage, stretching farther than anyone could have imagined. She’d stayed, kept her footing here, but even her little world seemed to be slipping. Her family was fractured, Barton somewhere out there in the shadows, and her friends scattered across the world, each dealing with their own aftermath.
"All right. Everybody keep keeping their eyes open... This channel’s always active. Anything goes sideways, anyone makes trouble where they shouldn’t, it comes through me." She said.
One by one, the screens blinked out, each goodbye leaving her feeling slightly lonelier. Only Rhodey remained. She knew what he’d say before he even started.
"Federalés found a room full of bodies outside Juarez. Cartel guys... Guns still in their pants. Same MO as Marseille. And Kiev."
Her chest tightened, the peanut butter sticking in her throat. She nodded grimly, acknowledging what she'd known was coming but dreaded to hear.
"It’s definitely Barton," Rhodey said.
The confirmation settled in her like a lead weight. Clint was too far gone, and whatever had driven him to this point was something she couldn’t pull him back from—not yet. Her fingers clenched the spoon tighter, and she stared at the empty container. She’d been so focused on keeping things together, on somehow pulling everyone else back into orbit, that she hadn’t noticed just how close she was to breaking herself.
"What he’s done here...what he’s been doing...I got to tell you, part of me doesn’t want to find him." Rhodey continued.
Natasha let out a long breath, steadying herself. She had to keep it together for Nicky, Clint, and everyone else who still counted on her to lead them through this unsteady world.
"Find out where he’s going next." She fought through the tears to hold it together. She took a bite of her sandwich, hoping to ease her tears, before dropping it onto the plate.
Rhodey nodded, the screen flickering off, leaving her alone. She rubbed her eyes, letting herself sink back for a long, quiet moment. She didn’t know how long she’d sat there when she heard a familiar voice from the doorway.
"I’d offer to cook you dinner, but you seem sad enough already."
She looked up, eyes weary, but a small smile breaking through. Steve could always tell.
Natasha turned to see Steve standing in the doorway, his arms crossed as he watched her.
"Come by to do your laundry?" she asked, arching a brow.
"And see a friend," he replied.
She forced a small smile. "Your friend’s fine."
Steve raised an eyebrow, his expression softening with the familiar look he reserved for her. "She leave the house today?"
"Nothing out there I particularly want to see."
"I spotted a pod of whales coming over the bridge," he said, almost wistfully. "Closer to the city than I’ve ever seen them."
A faint, half-hearted smile tugged at Natasha’s lips. "Guess nature’s making a comeback, huh? Nice to know someone’s doing alright."
They fell into silence, and Steve watched her, something unspoken settling in the quiet. He leaned against the doorframe.
"How’s Nicky?"
Natasha's face softened at the mention of her son, her usual guarded expression slipping just a little.
"Growing faster than I can keep up with," she murmured, almost to herself. "He’s asking a lot of questions these days. Hard questions."
Steve nodded, his voice gentle. "He’s smart, like his mom."
She let out a small, tired laugh, glancing down. "Smart... yeah. And stubborn. Keeps me on my toes."
"Sounds like he’s a lot like you."
She shook her head, smiling faintly, before looking back at the table where her half-eaten sandwich sat. "He’s everything we hoped he’d be. Kind, curious... Sometimes, I wonder if he’s too gentle for this world. For what’s left of it, anyway."
A heavy silence followed her words, and Steve moved a step closer, an understanding look in his eyes.
"He’s got you to look out for him. And you’re both stronger than you think."
Natasha gave a small nod, her fingers idly tracing the rim of her coffee cup. "Maybe."
After a long moment, Steve looked up at her, his gaze steady, honest.
"Group was interesting. I keep telling them to move on. Grow past it," he said, his voice laced with something like resignation. "And some of them actually do. But not us."
Natasha held his gaze, the weight of it settling heavily between them. "If I move on," she murmured, "who does this?"
"Maybe it doesn’t need to be done," he replied quietly.
The words lingered, sinking into her. Steve was thinking of letting go. She could see the traces of weariness on his face and how he looked around the compound.
She glanced around, taking in the remnants of what had once been their team, their family. "I used to have nothing," she said softly. "Then I got this. This job, this family..."
Her voice caught, a flash of grief breaking through her carefully composed exterior. She took a breath, collecting herself.
"And even though they’re gone, I’m still trying to be... better."
Steve’s expression softened. "I think we both need to get a life."
She let out a small, almost hollow laugh. "You first."
He gave her a slight smile, then tilted his head, looking at her curiously. "What about Nora?"
Natasha’s face shifted, her smile fading. "It’s nothing," she said, brushing it off. Her gaze fell, her voice barely above a whisper. "I want my family back, Steve. My wife... Stella..."
A deep silence settled over them. Steve nodded slowly, understanding without needing any more words.
"We did our best, Nat," he murmured. "There wasn't anything more we could have done."
"That's the difficult part," She nodded.
They stared at each other, a long, quiet moment of shared melancholy. The silence wrapped around them, a reminder of all they’d lost and the people who weren’t there to share it with them anymore.
Then, a sudden ping broke through the silence. Natasha looked down at her console, swiping to a CCTV display, her eyes widening in surprise as she took in the sight on the screen.
Scott Lang’s face filled the monitor, his expression hopeful yet bewildered, with Luis’s old van parked behind him.
“Hello?” Scott’s voice crackled through the speakers. “Is anyone home? This is, uh, Scott Lang? We met a few years ago. At the airport?”
Steve leaned in, frowning as he watched Scott on the screen. “This an old message?”
Natasha shook her head, stunned. “It’s the front gate.”

Vormir
Natasha and Clint were climbing, their breathing ragged from the exhaustion of the long ascent. The mountain seemed endless, and with every step, Natasha felt the air become thinner. It was suffocating. Her thighs were burning, her legs shaking, but she pushed through, her heart pounding in her ears as they reached the top of the cliff.
They approach an archway carved into the mountain's face, and Clint mutters to himself.
"Really starting to regret my choice here," Clint said half-jokingly.
Natasha exhaled, a dry laugh escaping her lips despite the gravity of the situation. She didn't answer immediately, her mind racing. "Yeah. I'm going to bet the raccoon didn't have to climb a mountain."
"I don’t think technically he’s a raccoon..." Clint grinned.
"Whatever. He eats garbage." She cut him off. But as Clint spoke, Natasha's smile faded, her gaze distant as she took a few more steps, each one harder than the last. There was a tightness in her chest, a knot that grew with each breath.
For a moment, the mountain felt less like a physical challenge and more like an emotional one. Every part of her wanted to stop, to tell Clint it was not worth it, but she couldn’t. She couldn't. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps caught their attention. They turned, guns drawn, ready for a fight.
"I assure you, you have nothing to fear from me," The hooded figure affirmed.
"Creepy," Clint commented.
"Welcome, Natasha, daughter of Ivan." The hooded figure gestured to her. "Clint, son of Edith."
"Creepier." He murmured.
"Who are you?" Natasha asked.
"Consider me a guide. To you and to all who seek the Soul Stone."
Their journey ended here.
********
"If we don’t get the stone, billions of people are going to stay dead." She said firmly.
Clint’s face was grim, but there was no question in his eyes. He knew what was coming. He already knew what’s been weighing on both of them.
"Then I guess we both know who it has to be,"
There was a pause. A beat where emotion played all over their faces - pain, love, heartbreak. Natasha looked at Clint, and something on her face shifted.
"Yeah, I guess we do," She said.
"I'm starting to think we don't mean the same person," Clint tilted his chin. "Nicky needs a mother."
"And he'll have her," Natasha said. As Natasha began to pull away, her heart beating rapidly in her chest, something changed.
Suddenly, the world around them shuddered. A strange, heavy pressure filled the air, like reality was bending. Natasha stumbled, her eyes snapping around, searching for the source. The ground trembled.
Suddenly she was alone.
"You think this is the end of your choice? I think you’ll find... it’s just the beginning." Red Skull's voice played around her ominously. She searched for the source but couldn't find it.
"What the hell," She cried out.
Before she could process what was happening, the world shifted again. The landscape around her warped, colors bleeding into one another as if she'd stepped through a rift into another plane of existence. Natasha closed her eyes as a wave of nausea washed over her. She only listened to her breathing and her senses until her feet hit solid ground. She could hear the running of water. If she could guess, it was a stream or... a river.
"What is this place?" She asked as she blinked her eyes open. Red Skull stood before her. Natasha looked around, hoping to find her bearings, but nothing gave her the indication that she was still on Vormir or Earth. It seemed like a purgatory of sorts. Someone else's dream.
"You’ve come this far. But I think you deserve more than just a simple end. A choice so great—perhaps you should have the chance to reconsider." Red Skull explained.
"What do you want from me?" She demanded. "Where's Clint?"
"I offer you a choice—one you may not have considered. A way out. A chance to undo it all... in a different form." He ignored her questions, only causing more confusion.
"What’s your game, Skull? What are you talking about?" She stepped closer to him. "I swear to-"
"Mama?" A voice called. Natasha froze. Her heart skipped a beat, the world narrowing into a single point of focus. That voice. Her heart dropped and then soared all at once. She didn't understand how, but she knew exactly who it was. Her stomach churned.
She turned around, her eyes scanning the familiar landscape, and then there she was.
Stella was the same age as when the Snap happened. Natasha’s breath caught in her throat. Her hair was the same—soft, messy curls that fell around her face. Her eyes were just as bright as those vivid green eyes that Natasha had only seen in her dreams. The little girl looked up at her, pure joy in her expression, a smile that could light up the entire world.
"Hi, Mama," Stella grinned up at her. Her face was unchanged, frozen in time. She looked just as Natasha remembered. Still three. Still lost in a world that didn't seem to age her.
Natasha’s heart felt like it would shatter. She rushed toward her daughter, closing the distance in a heartbeat. She pulled Stella into her arms, holding her so tightly it almost hurt. Her eyes stung with tears she couldn't contain.
"I don’t... I don’t understand. How—how are you here? You... you’re—"
But before she could finish, Stella pulled back slightly, her little face furrowed with confusion.
"Where is Mommy?" She asked
"Oh God." Natasha choked back a sob. She wants to say something, but she doesn't have the words. It was too much.
"Why is Mommy not here?" Stella's confusion turned to frustration. "You said Mommy was coming." Stella directed her anger at the Red Skull.
"Stella..." Natasha began.
Natasha’s world tilted on its axis. She held Stella tighter, her mind racing. A thousand questions rushed through her thoughts. How was this possible? What was happening to her?
But the reality of her daughter, there—now—overpowered every rational thought. The warmth of her child’s embrace was a lifeline, pulling her away from the edge of the unknown.
"I'll find Mommy, don't worry," Natasha soothed the little girl. "We'll find her together."
She rubbed her daughter’s back, trying to keep herself from breaking down. Her emotions were a whirlwind—relief, pain, confusion. But something didn't feel right. Something was off.
"I offer you a choice." Red Skull interrupted their reunion. "Stay here, in this moment, with your daughter, forever trapped in the purgatory, or return to the world you know... in a different form. I can give you a new life, a new beginning—a second chance at everything. But there is a price, of course."
Natasha’s breath hitched. "What's the price? What happened to giving up a soul?"
"You will be reincarnated. Your soul, your essence, will live again in a new body. You’ll be free from the pain of this life and the burden of the past. But you will lose everything you know. You’ll forget this life, your memories, your loved ones—your daughter. You will be someone else."
"So either way, I'd die," Natasha guessed. She licked her lips nervously. "Either way, the people I love will lose me. How is this better than the other deal?"
"Not death, Natasha. Rebirth. A chance to begin again, free from the weight of your past. But yes, in this new life, you will forget. The pain, the grief... and the love. Your soul will live again, but it will be untethered, unburdened by the memories of this life. It will be a clean slate.
"So I get to live again but lose everything I ever cared about? I don’t even get to remember the people I’ve fought for, the ones I’ve sacrificed everything for. You’re telling me to give up my life again?" She shook her head. "I would forget her. I would forget all of them."
"You will gain something more valuable—freedom. You will be someone else, someone better, with no shackles. No more ghosts of the past, no more running. You will be given a chance to make a new path. But there is no turning back once you choose. Once your soul is reborn, it will not remember this moment. You will be free of the pain of your past... but also the joy of those moments, those people."
Natasha swallowed hard, her mind racing. The thought of losing everything she fought for—the memories, the bonds she’s built, especially with her daughter—twisted like a knife in her chest. But the idea of freedom and redemption tempted her in a way she couldn't ignore.
"And if I choose the other way? To stay here, to die for the stone... What’s the difference? Isn’t it all just... an end?" She said quietly to herself.
"The difference is that you remain as you are in this choice. You will stay in this moment, this world, and be trapped in it. Without her. A death without peace, a loss without redemption. The universe will continue without you."
A beat passed as Natasha processed the weight of his words. She wanted to scream, to demand more answers. She wanted to tear through this reality, but all she could do was stare at Stella, her little face looking at her with that innocent, trusting look. That face is the one thing that keeps pulling her heart in two directions—back toward this strange, illusory world where she can hold her daughter or forward toward an unknown fate, a second chance.
"Why would I choose freedom if it means losing everything that made me who I am? What’s the point of living again if I can’t remember why I fought so hard to be here in the first place?" She frowned. "Do they come back? Does Nicky get his mother and his sister?"
"The people you love will remember you. They will mourn you. They will grieve, but they will move on. They will find a way to live without you, and eventually, the wounds will heal. It will not be the same, but there will be peace, eventually."
"I don’t want to forget... I don’t want to forget her. I can’t." Her voice broke. She was crying now.
"You are not choosing to forget her. You are choosing to give her a future. A future where the world is saved, where the people you love have a chance to live. That is the sacrifice you make. The world needs you, Natasha Romanoff, more than your memories."
"And if I choose not to live again? What happens then?"
Red Skull’s gaze sharpened, his voice heavy with the finality of his words.
"Then you will die, and the universe will continue without you."
The reality of his words sank in, a heaviness weighing her down. She was faced with an impossible choice—die and have the possibility of everyone coming back or reincarnating with the same result.
Her fingers traced the outline of her wedding band, the cold metal a reminder of all she had lost.
"Why me?" She asked suddenly. Red Skull looked at her with something close to pity, though it was difficult to read on his stone-like face."Does everyone get this option?"
“No,” he replied, his voice cold but edged with something else—something ancient. “Not everyone. Only those whose actions have carried weight—those whose sacrifices have been… significant. You’ve walked a path of endless struggle. Death has followed you, yet you fight; you sacrifice, again and again, not just for others but for a purpose greater than yourself. It is rare to see such a soul. That is why I offer this choice to you.”
Natasha absorbed his words, her mind racing. Her life had always been a series of choices, but this… this was different. A chance to leave it all behind and be reborn, or to give everything, including herself, to save others.
Her thoughts drifted to Stella, still tucked in her arms, her innocent eyes full of love and trust. Could she really leave this behind? Could she live with the knowledge that the mother her children knew would never return to them?
“Why me?” Natasha repeated, her voice soft but unwavering. “Why offer this to me and not to someone else? There have been countless others who’ve given everything… so why now?”
Red Skull didn't answer immediately, the silence hanging heavily in the air.
Red Skull's gaze softened, just for a moment. “Because you are more than what you think yourself to be. You have been a weapon, a force of destruction, and a beacon of hope. You’ve fought against fate, against what you thought you were destined for. This is your moment to choose what you wish your legacy to be. Either way, you shape your own fate.”
Natasha stood still, her heart thundering. Red Skull waited for her decision. The silence hung heavy between them, thick with the moment's gravity.
Natasha swallowed, her hand tightening into a fist at her side. "And if I choose to leave? To reincarnate—what happens to them? To Clint, to my team… my daughter?"
"They will live," Red Skull said, his voice almost too calm, too sure. "They will carry on, their memories untouched. But you will be gone. Your place in the universe will be filled by someone else."
Natasha closed her eyes, the words weighing heavy on her. It was an impossible decision, one she couldn’t fathom.
"I can't," she whispered. "I can't choose."
"Mama," Stella questioned. It seemed she was waiting for an answer, too.
"I'm sorry," Natasha let the tears fall this time. "I'm so sorry, Solnyshko." She whimpered.
Red Skull looked at her, his expression almost sympathetic.
"It is not a choice, Natasha. It is a sacrifice. One you have already made."
"Okay, okay, I'm ready." Natasha breathed. "I'm sorry, baby." She kissed Stella's forehead. She could only hope you would forgive her.

"It was supposed to be me. She sacrificed her life for that goddamn stone. She bet her life on it," Clint ranted. "She jumped, and one of us had to explain this to Nicky."
Thor and Banner exchanged puzzled glances. The tension in the room is thick; Clint’s grief is a raw wound, and their shared loss weighs on everyone. But this—this was something they hadn’t anticipated.
"Who is Nicky?" Bruce questioned.
Clint’s shoulders slumped as if the question's weight was too much. He took a shuddering breath, his gaze fixed on the floor.
“Nicky’s her son,” he finally said, his voice barely above a whisper. “Nat didn’t talk about him much… she didn’t want to endanger him. She kept him safe, hidden, but he’s… he’s still so young.”
“Are you telling us that Nat… that she left behind a child?” Bruce asked gently, his voice filled with concern.
Clint nodded, swallowing hard. “She did it for him, you know. She did it for all of us, for everyone that got snapped. But he was part of that, too. Part of the reason she…” He trailed off, unable to finish the thought.
Thor’s expression shifted from confusion to a deep, somber respect. “A mother’s sacrifice… to protect her child,” he murmured almost reverent.
"Children," Tony supplied.
"What?" Clint looked at Tony.
"There were two children. She had Stella," Tony reminded him. "It was for them. For her wife."
Clint glanced up, anger and anguish flashing in his eyes. “And now he’s alone. She’s gone, and he’s got no one.” His voice cracked as he stumbled over the words. “Who’s going to be there for him? Who’s going to tell him why his mom never came back?”
Bruce placed a comforting hand on Clint’s shoulder, his eyes sincere. “Then we’ll be there for him,” he promised. “If Natasha’s son needs family, he’s got us. Whatever he needs—support, protection, anything.”
Thor nodded firmly, the resolve clear in his gaze. “We owe her that much. And I’ll ensure he knows exactly who his mother was—a warrior, a hero. The bravest among us.”
That landed heavily among all of them.

You'd been appalled when Happy suggested a joint funeral for Tony and Natasha. The idea left a bitter taste in your mouth. A funeral for Natasha—your Natasha—sounded absurd. She wasn’t gone. She couldn’t be. Not her.
You’d spent five years in limbo, caught between one breath and the next, with no awareness of the time passing. One moment, you were home in Missouri, watching your children play in the den, and the next… nothing. It wasn’t like sleep or even unconsciousness. It was as if you simply didn’t exist. And then, just as suddenly, you were back. But the world you returned to had shifted and moved forward in ways you couldn’t yet wrap your mind around.
Nicky had grown so much taller than you remembered. No longer the little boy you’d kissed goodnight, he was older now, with five years of life etched into his features, years you’d missed as his mother. The last time you saw him, he was just one year old, approaching his second birthday, which you'd planned together. Now, at eight, he was still small but no longer the toddler you had once held in your arms.
In some ways, he was a stranger, a person with a life outside your knowledge. You missed five years of his life.
And now, with no warning, the universe had ripped away the only constant in your life.
It didn't make sense. The universe had brought you back only to take her away. She couldn't be gone.
So you refused the funeral. It was a denial, an attempt to reject the reality thrust upon you. You didn’t need a funeral for someone who wasn't dead. She would come home. You wouldn't bury an empty casket.
And then you looked at your children—two pieces of your heart, tethering you to a reality you could hardly stand. You wanted to honor Natasha, for them, if nothing else. None of this made sense. None of it felt right. But you knew you had to push forward.
That morning, you dressed them with shaking hands, pausing often to steady yourself. Your eyes were bloodshot from a night spent wrestling with grief, exhaustion, and disbelief. You’d barely slept, remembering Natasha and the impossible circumstances that had brought you here. But for Nicky and Stella, you had to keep going.
They sat before you now in Tony’s lake house, their small, trusting faces watching you closely. Everyone else was waiting downstairs—the Avengers, friends from all over, people whose lives she had touched. But before you joined them, you needed this quiet moment with your children to prepare them for the hardest goodbye any of you had ever faced.
"It's time for us to say goodbye to Mama," You breathed. You took both of their hands and kissed each of them. "I know we don't want to. This is the last thing I want to do, but..."
Stella was staring at her feet, a sullen, pained look on her face.
"It's going to be hard. I'm gonna miss her, too," You told him. "But we're gonna get through it. We're gonna be okay."
You turned to Nicky. He was watching you, his face serious. He'd been quiet all morning, barely speaking. He'd lost both parents at different periods of his life. He didn't know what to make of the idea that this was his reality.
"Do you have questions?" You asked him. "About anything?"
"Is Mama... is she coming back?"
You took a deep breath. "No, Nicky. She's not."
He looked down at his shoes, his little eyebrows drawn together. You wanted to hold him and make the pain disappear, but you couldn't. He barely knew you. It would take more than the days you'd known each other for him to trust you. The Snap had taken that bond away from you.
"We'll always remember her. And she'll never forget us," You promised. "Okay?"
"Okay," he said softly.
You looked at Stella. She was probably so confused. You tugged at the skirt of her dress to get her attention.
"Baby, you alright?" You asked.
"Mama's not dead," She cried. "Why is Mama dead?"
Your heart broke into a million pieces.
"Oh, baby." You knelt and pulled her into a hug. "I'm so sorry. I wish she were here."
"Where is she?"
"She's in heaven. She's with Grandma and Pop-Pop. They're taking care of her."
"But why?" Her lip trembled. It was in that way that always broke your heart.
"The world was a very bad place, and she sacrificed herself to fix it. She was a hero. She saved everyone, including you and Nicky."
"But why does that mean Mama's gone? Why can't she stay?"
You tried to blink away the tears forming.
"Sometimes things happen, and there's no reason, no logic. Sometimes, people leave, and we can't understand why."
"I want Mama. I don't want her to go," Stella's eyes watered. "Please."
"I know, baby. I know. So do I. I'm so sorry."
Stella leaned her head against your chest, her body shaking as she cried. You ran your hand through her hair and held her close, willing your warmth to be enough for the both of you.
Neihter of you were ready but it was something you had to do.
*********
Walking out of the lake house behind Pepper, Morgan, and Peter felt overwhelmed. It felt so wrong. There was no way Natasha was gone. You wanted to turn and run, find a way out of this reality, this nightmare. You scanned the crowd, noticing familiar faces and others you'd only ever heard about through Natasha’s stories—a reminder of the secrecy you had kept to protect your family.
Clint and Laura met your eyes, offering quiet support, and you gave them a faint, shaky smile in return. Nicky clung tightly to your hand, his other hand holding a small bundle of Natasha’s favorite flowers. You adjusted Stella on your hip, feeling the weight of her tiny arms wrapped around you, grounding you in this surreal moment.
As you stepped closer to the water's edge, you noticed the questioning looks of some of the people gathered there. They didn’t know who you were; they didn’t know Natasha’s family had quietly existed all this time. Ignoring the stares, you focused on what you came here to do, offering Natasha this final act of love.
Pepper placed her flowers gently on the water, a quiet tribute to Tony. Then, with a soft nudge, you guided Nicky forward. He stepped up, his small fingers trembling as he let the flowers slip into the lake. Nicky's dog, Ollie, had darted out of the house and now pressed his nose against Nicky's hand, sensing the boy’s sadness.
"Goodbye, Tony," he said softly, his eyes shining with tears. "Goodbye, Mama."
Pepper reached for him and pulled him into a tight embrace. Then she did the same for you and Stella, her expression solemn.
"Bye, Tony," Stella murmured, her face pressed against your chest. "Bye-bye, Mama."
Stella didn't know him. She didn't have memories of Tony, but she felt compelled to follow in her brother's steps.
You listened as Pepper began speaking, sharing memories of Tony and words of remembrance. You held it together, swallowing back the ache in your chest as her voice wavered over the water. She looked at you when she finished, nodding gently—it was your turn.
Taking a deep breath, you stepped forward, holding Stella close, and faced the gathering.
"Natasha is..." You breathed. That wasn't right. "Natasha was my wife." You began. "She was a wife and a mother." You looked down at Nicky's proud eyes. "She loved harder than anyone I'd ever known. She was kind and strong and loyal."
You swallowed hard, blinking back the tears that were threatening to fall.
"But above all, she was brave. She was the bravest woman I'd ever met. And we will miss her. Every day. Every second. We will carry her memory with us." You sighed. "For eight long years, Natasha was my rock. Long before then, she was my everything. She gave me two beautiful children. Two amazing little humans who made every moment worth it. They remind me so much of her. A lot of you never knew about me. Never knew about us. It was better that way. Our own little secret. This family was something only we knew."
"But I'm telling you now because... If anyone needs to know about Natasha and how incredible she was, it's the people here. You knew her better than anyone. You've shared her battles, her victories. She was part of your family. So, for everyone who's not part of mine, let me share it with you. Let me tell you about her." You continued. You felt stronger the more you talked. "Having a person makes life easier to live. Having Natasha made my life so much better. She was the best thing that ever happened to me."
You felt a tear slide down your cheek. "Natasha and I didn't meet under ideal circumstances. She was a spy, and I was an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. We worked together on missions. Eventually, those late nights turned into something more. I was lucky enough to know her as a teammate. Later, I got to see the other side of her, the one only a few people knew. She was a good person. One of the best."
Your eyes found Clint's, and he nodded in understanding. He was the one who'd first introduced you.
"It wasn't always easy. Life never is. There were times when it was difficult. Hard choices, difficult sacrifices. But she always made sure to make things right, no matter what it cost her."
You wiped away a stray tear and took a shuddering breath.
"We will never forget her. Not a day will go by when I don't think about her. Her sacrifice will be felt for generations." You sniffed. "I can't promise I won't spend every waking moment wishing she were here. Wishing I could kiss her or hold her or hear her voice one more time. I'll do whatever it takes to ensure our children never forget her. She deserved better. A long, happy life. A future with all of us."
The dam burst, and you held back a sob. Pepper's soothing hand rubbed your back. She felt this grief, too.
"But if there's one thing I've learned in my life, it's that sometimes things just don't go the way we plan. And that's okay. We'll figure out how to move forward without her. We'll carry her in our hearts and minds and keep living the best lives we can."
*********
It had been three weeks of slowly packing away Natasha’s life, boxing up memories and fragments of her identity. Clearing out her apartment felt surreal; each item you wrapped and labeled was a bittersweet reminder. The decision to move Nicky away from his childhood home had been hard, but you knew it was time for a fresh start, somewhere the kids could grow and heal.
At precisely 8 a.m., the moving truck pulled up, ready to transport everything to your new brownstone. Natasha’s SUV idled in the street as you trailed behind the movers, the last piece you had yet to part with. It wasn’t as if you needed it in New York, but something about selling it felt too final, like letting go of another piece of her.
You ran a hand along the dashboard, the smell of Natasha still lingering, even after all this time. Going back to Missouri felt even harder—that was the home you had chosen together. You’d have to make the trip eventually to pack it up, but the thought alone made your chest tighten.
Lost in thought, you were brought back to reality by a voice from the backseat.
“No, I’m the big sister!” Stella was arguing, her voice firm with a tiny pout on her face.
You turned around, a smile tugging at the corners of your mouth. “Stella, honey, you’re not the big sister anymore. Nicky’s older than you.”
Stella scrunched her nose in defiance. “But I feel like the big sister!”
You laughed softly. “I know, sweetie. But it doesn’t work that way.”
Before she could fire back with more questions, something outside caught her attention. “Look, Mama! Another moving truck!”
You saw the large truck parked halfway across the road, its bulk blocking your path. Irritated but resigned, you parked Natasha’s SUV and climbed out, hoping to get them to move just enough so you could pass.
"Excuse me, I have a m—" you started to say but stopped. Your breath caught in your throat, a jolt of electricity shooting down your spine.
The movers were busy unloading furniture and boxes into the back of the truck, oblivious to your sudden stillness. You watched them work, your heartbeat growing louder, filling your ears. As you approached, a woman stepped out beside the truck, brushing her hands off her jeans. She had blonde hair that shimmered in the sunlight and sharp green eyes that locked onto yours. There was something vaguely familiar about her, though you couldn’t quite place it.
“Hey there! Sorry about the truck blocking the way. I was just helping unload,” she said with a friendly smile. “I’m Kelly. Just moving in next door.”
You introduced yourself, feeling a slight tug of recognition but pushing it aside. “Nice to meet you, Kelly. We’re actually moving in too. Guess we’re going to be neighbors. Where are you moving from?"
"Nebraska," Kelly nodded. "I'm a doctor. I wanted a bit of change. For some reason, I felt drawn to New York, so now I'm here."
You gave her a tight smile, wondering why her voice sounded so familiar. "Well, welcome to the neighborhood. I hope you enjoy it here. We'd love to have you over for dinner once we get settled. "
Kelly's smile widened, her gaze turning almost hopeful. "I'd like that."

Perhaps, Laurel spent a little too long watching his lips, caught up in the way he licked them. Oh, she was a goner. “Woah, you are really smart with your class schedule. How do you pick the stories you read?" His words saddened her, thinking of the prospect of someone being used to not having a home. But, the brief optimism was a good note. Surely, he'd find a home eventually, and while they were in school, she'd try to help find that space. "For my sake, I hope you're right about the lack of embarrassing." Her mind was already turning with ideas for Juju and Aaron's upcoming visit. "Hm, I'll need to bribe them too, to behave."
Despite the variety of topics they had covered already, this was what made her cheeks warm up with a pink flush. How he had only known her for this short amount of time, and yet he saw her. The way he spoke, he saw something in her that she hadn't really bothered seeing in herself lately. "That's very kind of you, I really appreciate it. I'll keep my glow on, just for you." The idea of cooking had never really enticed her too much, but now the prospect of jumping into this new adventure with him excited her. "Kitchen heaven, oh that sounds like our place. I'll plan that one, and I'll send you the details when we can take over the kitchen. Maybe, we each bring a recipe we want to try."
"As long as you don't want to be far from me, then I'll be buying all the portable fans. Well, hey I'm not complaining on the idea because it brought you here." The idea didn't seem too logical to her, but how could she judge it when it meant he arrived here with her? That had to be some version of destiny, if she even believed in all that. Laurel was hanging on to each word, a string pulling him toward her. Was he always so charming and romantic? "I..." her words trailed off, completely in a daze. "I'm inclined to believe that, I'm glad the string brought us here. Having us meet halfway, hm guess I'd just be curious why Texas, of all places." The thought of a string pulling him to a place that he didn't like was so interesting, completely grateful that he did listen to that string tugging him here. "The more, the merrier and I'd love to meet them. Maybe, get some of those stories about you." Laurel's smile remained, her curiosity on Colorado growing. He had the ability to make anything sound interesting, even a state she had never given second thought to. "There's more to Brazil than Carnival though, promise I'm not a party animal. I'm intrigued by Colorado now, and Panama, really? That sounds like a fun spot too, probably some really good beaches." Oh, she was completely pleased with herself when he agreed and gave her a look. Lucky for her, they both were not the sharing type. "Good to know, because I really have no intention of sharing you with anyone here. Just a heads up."
She was shaking her head, silently telling him it was not necessary at all. Laurel understood house rules, and really didn't mind just hanging out here, even on the floor. It beat being in her dorm listening to Jenny complain about being ditched earlier. But, Laurel looked at him and knew that there was no chance of saying no. "Okay, but only because you insist." She took the items Eli handed her, and nodded reluctantly. "I believe you," she said with soft laugh. "This is more than enough, don't worry. I'll be right back." With that, she stepped away to change. Changing into the bottoms was quick and easy, the hoodie - well, that had more thought going into it. He did say no outside clothes, her blouse definitely counted under that umbrella, but was it too bold to wear his hoodie with no shirt underneath? Maybe so, but she would follow instructions, so she pulled her blouse and quickly changed into the soft hoodie. Once her outside clothes were folded, she stepped back out and grinned widely. "Ta-da, fits pretty well! Confirming I'm free of outside clothes," she teased as she stuffed her clothes in her backpack for now.

"A lot of mishaps," he laughed, licking his lips after that small make out. The green apple aftertaste leaving traces on his lips. He would have thought she'd be a cherry type of girl but no even with chapstick she managed to surprise him. "M&M I call her that, she loves to be read stories. That's what we do every Friday night. It's why I only have that one class on Friday to make sure I've done my homework when I call her." He shrugged thinking by now he should be used to not having a home. He never had one before the Phillips scooped him up. "It's okay. I'm used to it. Maybe one day I'll find home." Eli's smile widened at the thought of getting stories of her. "I'll take it. Embarrassing? I highly doubt that. Any and all stories about you I'll be glad to hear."
"You're more than dust. You have a glow just some people can't see it. It's on them not on you." He gently squeezed her hand and smiled. "And that's enough. Always will be." Just because her mom didn't see her like that didn't mean she wasn't special. "Good. After all you can't dim your light for others. Not fair to you." Cooking and having a knack to learn seemed like a good combo. "Sounds like we're a match in kitchen heaven."
He couldn't help but smiled amused. "Carry a portable fan with you at all times. That way I don't have to be too far away from you. I know. It wasn't the brightest idea to move here but I also think it lead me to you. I am not sure if I believe in that but also not really a coincidence we met before we actually met. It was like," he thought about it. "A string pulling me toward you. Have you ever felt that?" Nodding his head he didn't think she'd take him up on it so quick but was glad she had. "Winter break coming up. Let's do it. I'm sure my sisters will love to join if you're okay with that. I need to see if they can come or one will be missing. Not sure Isa and hia schedule." He had to think hard on if he did go anywhere he had wanted to. "No. We stayed local or if we felt really adventurous we went to Colorado. But bucket list items for sure. Brazil? That is cool. That reminds me of one I forgot. Panama." He bumped into her and gave her a look. "Neither am I very good at sharing."
Tumblr media
Eli turned around and sighed trying to find his sweater he hadn't worn in the week. Once he did he took it out and found bottoms that would fit her. Last time Inez bought him pants they were a little too tight so now they seemed like they'd fit Laurel. "Here, get comfortable. You can't stand or sit on the floor. You're my guest. I insist." His black striped hoodie was the one he gave her and handed her the bottoms. "These should fit you. I have an extra toothbrush in the drawer in the bathroom so feel free to use that. I promise it's brand new." Now he was thankful the Phillips siblings gave him so much in their care package. "If you need anything else let me know."

sso like. hypoethetically in theory. if my sister's latest Series of Agonies are indeed the symptoms of an STD that she received from her first partner ever (whose first partner ever is my sister) . and it causes her to be infertile . that gives me the legal right to hang him by his shirt off a flag pole in a high school yard right?

'what do you want?'. and the question has her pausing for a moment. she's never been asked that, genuinely. had only had sex for the whims and satisfaction of another. so maybe she's a little stumped for a bit. "i-" laughs a little, a gentle sound, because the fact he's asking her at all is making her stomach gurgle with affection. and surprisingly ( thankfully, once she lets herself think for a second ), her answer comes easily. "everything. i want to do everything with you." and that's just the bare truth, really. beyond wanting to let him do whatever he wanted to her, beyond the deep lust and feelings that they shared. star wants to experience it all with nico. is willing to test limits and find new joys with him. "so, yes, you cumming on me," she adds with a smile, almost proud at her own revelation, twitching slightly at the thought of it. wonders if she can shave off more of his self-control if he saw ropes of himself on her face and chest? wants desperately to see him snap, eventually.
every brush of his fingers onto her sends her reeling. the pads of his fingers run over her slit and she whimpers, can feel her body tighten with anticipation. makes it hard for her to focus on the conversation at hand, scattering any thought and leaving her panting. still can't get ahold of herself like this; this new level of need she's experiencing, all because of him. it's like his touch is heightening every sensation into a new feeling. her lips search for his skin, pressing them to whatever she can reach — chin, jaw, earlobe. can feel his lips burn impressions into her skin everywhere they touch. "yes!" she gasps, quivering at the satisfying feeling of him inside her again, "'m wet for you . . ." she arches her back, writhing slightly in his hold as he starts to pump in and out of her. byeol moans, wanton and full and coming from somewhere deeper than before, feeling sparks shoot up behind her eyelids. she's so sensitive, and it feels better than before somehow. ( probably something to do with their first round relaxing her, making her pliant for him. )
nico's finger plunges into her deeper, tickling that soft bit of herself and she groans, shaking. feels embarrassed briefly because she's close, somehow, knows she won't be able to hold herself back much longer. "fuck me again," she confirms, hips grinding into his finger now, eyes watering from how hard and fast the pleasure is hitting her skull. can't believe how that smirk of his makes her feel. "i, ah-" has to pause to whine, digs her fingers into his shoulder. "i want you to fuck me like just now." the confession is moaned into his mouth, and she has to stop herself from rolling her eyes. doesn't even question how his instruction registers like an order, like he could ask her anything and she'd do it. the delight is swimming so high up in her head that she has to make an effort to form words. "i want . . . i want you to fuck me hard. want you-" a hand reaches into his hair, grabbing at it to try and keep herself from going too far out too quickly. sucks in a violent breath because it's criminal what only one of his fingers can do to her. "want you to use me. use me 'til you cum again." the words just keep coming, star can only hope nico can understand her. she thinks back to how rough he was with her, how his cock snapped into her and made her see white. squeezes her walls at the memory. "want- want to come for you. want to make you feel good. stain the sheets." her hips push into his fingers, searching for his finger even deeper than before. knows, somehow, that if she'd come with a gush he'd be pleased. "i want to be good. be good for you."
he almost wants to laugh at the way star disputes him . instead , he shakes his head , holds up two fingers in a silent SCOUT'S HONOUR . nico isn't a liar, and even if he was - he feels it'd be impossible to lie to HER . he coughs suddenly , a strong wave of heat overcoming him at her next words . where has she come from ? a twig of a thought enters his brain and he snaps it away . " i - " the idea of releasing onto star is one that makes his mind go painfully blank , yet also make him shake his head . " what do you want ? " because nico's still unsure if anyone's ever really asked her that before , especially during sex . if it was up to him , of course he'd never let her leave this bed but it ISN'T about him . nico wants her to realise that he'd do just about anything for her . to make her happy . to make her orgasm . to hear her laugh , or see her smile . he always knew when he worked with star that it wasn't JUST a job . there was nothing work like about him staying back extra hours , or watching her cook . there was nothing platonic about the way his eyes would rake up and down her body , sometimes to the curve of her ass , before guiltily flashing back up . NICO HAD JUST KEPT IT ALL HIDDEN . he was good at that.
he grins against her and the easy way she moves like putty , like water , in his hands . he feels like he could swallow her whole . his hands alone look giant on her body . that animalistic part within him wants to see how much she can take , but he's still practicing how to not be selfish . his fingers dance along her thighs , and when she allows him to push them apart , he feels his mouth salivate . he can still taste her on his tongue . he can still remember exactly how she looked , all scrunched up and tense , as she came for him . his hand moves , cupping her still , before trickling lower . he runs one padded finger between her . his entire body feels hot with it . his mind goes blank yet again and he feels a CALM HUMMING take over him as he runs his finger over her again and again . he wants to destroy her . he wants to plunge his fingers into her . he wants to make her scream . his brain escapes with these thoughts and he snaps back into the moment , letting out a shaky exhale . " we can do that . " he agrees quietly , his nose pressing against her cheek before he kisses her , long and slow . " like this ? " he murmurs out , kissing up her cheek , to her cheek bone . close to the corner of her eye . his finger slides downwards , experimentally , before he gently pushes it inside of her . he lets out an approving noise . " you're so wet . " he doesn't think he'll ever get tired of that lush feeling .
" what else do you want ? " he encourages , beginning to move his finger slowly in and out of her . he relishes in the wet noises coming from her , his breathing stutters as nico presses more kisses lavishly down her face , near her mouth , to her chin and neck . he pauses to gently suck on her skin , taste her sweetness and sweat , but not enough to leave a mark . " i'll do anything you want . " nico whispers it out , wanton , almost dire . he moves his finger at a slightly faster pace , just so he can pull away from her and watch her . watch the face her face lights up , emotive and expressive and telling him EVERYTHING . nico plunges the finger in deeper , to his knuckle , searching for her . " you want me to fuck you again ? " he checks , one side of his mouth turning up , because it'd be his damn pleasure . he looks at his cock , interested , but not able to get hard again that quickly after already releasing twice . realistically , he'd probably need half an hour or something . but when she looks like this , sounds like this , tastes like this . it makes him want to curse and try harder . he curls his finger inside of her , a warm burn filtering through his arm at the angle - but he pays it no mind . " i'll fuck you again . " he promises , with a nod . then presses his mouth to hers . his finger begins to move a bit more erratically inside of her . i'll fuck you every day , he wants to tell her , but DOESN'T because she can't know how insane she's driving him . " talk to me , baby . tell me exactly how you want me to do it . "

Thinking about this post by @jymwahuwu....what about Capitano with a darling who wouldn't even tell him she's pregnant in the first place?
Warnings: Pregnancy, not sfw, angst, mentions of abortion
Tumblr media
Capitano inquires about your recent doctors visit and you just shrug off his concern. Insisting it was just “a mild flu" and “I'll be better soon.” Never one to pry he doesn't push you for more details, even if your marriage is unconventional, he trusts that you would be honest with him considering he's never done anything to make you mistrustful of him. As far as he knows.
Your husband considers going over your head to confirm your condition with the doctor, but he knows that would only upset you. And regardless you’d bribed the doctor with your allowance to keep your pregnancy a secret.
You tell only your trusted ladies maid. Who diligently helps you keep up the ruse, she lets your bodices out and makes sure you don't show in the early months and makes sure you're never offered wine with dinner.
Capitano isn't around enough to notice the small but tell-tale signs that you're expecting, however, for the others who live in the manor it could not be more abundantly clear that you're pregnant.
So imagine his outrage when he hears of your pregnancy, not from your lips as he would have expected, but from one of the maids. It happens late one night when he's in the library reading, trying to find a moment of peace is an endlessly hectic month, while a maid dusts quietly on the upper level. You've made your self scarce recently and begrudgingly Capitano gives you space. Early in your relationship you told him that he was smothering and he accepted the criticism, and they two of you had found a balance, but now you are cold and aloof. You were never one to be vulnerable, and it was precisely a sort of quiet ferocity that you possessed that captivated him, but he was at his wits end. He thought that the two of you were making progress, but he supposes not, the last five months have been a regression. He would need to talk to you soon, the matter has become so distracting that he tunes in to the whispering happening on the upper levels. Another maid has joined the first as they chat languidly about house gossip when the subject turns to you.
"Her ladyship is so fatigued as of late. I'm not used to her being so torpid. It's disheartening." The first maid whispers almost imperceptibly, her words laced with worry.
Capitano stops focusing on his book entirely. They speak quickly and almost inaudibly quiet in their native Snezhnayan tongue, but his keen ears are able to focus perfectly on the conversation.
"Don't worry, I was the same way with my first, energy always came in bursts, though it left almost as quickly as it came." The other maid, older and a mother herself tries to assuage her colleague. "Poor dear, it only gets worse from this point." She sighs.
Confusion twists Capitano's features. He has in inkling of what the maids could be referring to, but if its as he expects he will be utterly irate that you did not tell him. He needs to hear them say it. Say the word and confirm his suspicions.
"Pregnancy sounds so scary. Ah, I still can't believe she hasn't told his Lordship."
"Oh, that I don’t understand at all, my husband would be furious ."
"Indeed." Capitano says aloud, shutting his book with a violent snap and storming out of the library.
He hears the maids gasp before leaving. Both clearly forgot about his presence. Another unexpected symptom of your influence, the staff have become entirely too comfortable.
Capitano ascends the stairs to your shared chambers. You should be getting ready for bed at about this hour and indeed he finds you in your shared bedroom. When he pushes the door open you startle, stopping in your tracks as you cross the room, but you quickly recompose yourself. This lie you've protracted has likely left you completely on edge.
A fire rumbles behind you in the hearth and your nightgown while not normally so visibly transparent became sheer in the light, it was subtle, but your silhouette against the firelight revealed the slightest protrusion of your midsection. You follow his gaze and turn away from him, without so much as a word.
For five months you’ve hardly let him see you naked not to mention you rejected all his attempts to initiate sex for the past three.
If you apprehend the hostility radiating off your husband, you do not acknowledge it. You were surprisingly stubborn and endlessly poised, keeping your cards quite close to your chest until it was time to play your hand. It would likely upset you but he would force you to show your hand, he'd been far too accommodating of your deceit.
You open your mouth to speak but Capitano wants none of your deflections.
"Pregnant? He questions. His tone, assured and firm. No room for argument, but Capitano can tell from your expression that your're willing to try it anyways.
The audacity that you would give him an incredulous look only incenses him further. He has to wonder why you are working so hard to hide your pregnancy from him.
Unless....it wasn't his.
No. You were many infuriating things, but you weren't disloyal...at least he thought.
"What? No--" His anger surges along with another dagger into his heart. Now he knows you’re lying. Or at least attempting to, but Capitano is having none of it. He has never lied to you. How could you so easily try to deceive him? It was dishonorable at best and a betrayal at worst.
"Don't you dare try to lie to me. The maids have already confirmed as much." He bats away your rebuttal with a terse reply.
As you come to realize the gravity of the situation, of your husbands rage, all color drains from your expression. The look of terror that paralyzes your features is out of place. As long as he you have been his wife, you have never even pretended to fear him. It is one of the qualities he admired about you. Now your wide frightful eyes and rigid frame are making him lose his nerve in the confrontation. An incredibly rare occurrence, the last thing Capitano ever wanted was for you to be afraid of him. However you had crossed a line, you had lied and actively misled him about a matter most important to you both.
"You didn't think to tell me?” He questions, the words curt and cruel.
"Well there's nothing you can do about it now." You reply, your tone defensive and your hackles raised. “It’s too late to….to do anything. The baby is coming.”
"Is it mine?" He questions, unfeeling and entirely unprepared for a negative answer.
"… how fucking dare you." You turn around to curse at him and Capitano is taken aback. He thought your eyes couldn't get any wider.
"Of course it is!" You cry, your expression equal parts outrage and hurt.
"Then why did you hide from me!" He matches your anger, raising his voice and stepping closer as you try to sidestep and evade him. The tightly controlled anger he bottled now sparking and bursting.
"I needed time to prepare." You implore exasperated as if Capitano should have understood your machinations perfectly.
"For what?!" He shouts.
"What if you didn't want it?!" You yell back. No tears have spilled but your eyes are wet and your face feels hot.
Capitano narrows his eyes at you, looking down on your defiant posture equal parts terrified and indignant. Then it all comes into focus.
You want this baby and you...thought he would make you get rid of it. With a gasping sob, you speak up again, your emotions now starting to get the better of you.
"What if you didn't want it....then what would I do?"
As intimate as you two have become in the past half year, Capitano remembers that you are both essentially strangers in many ways.
"Never assume my thoughts." He scolds, his tone terse but with much less bark. He closes the space between you, reaching out a tentative hand to you. Capitano is heartened when you take his hand, slender fingers curling around his broad palm. He begins to relax, but his rage has not subsided fully.
"You think I wouldn't want this child?" He questions, his voice much softer, but a slight resentment still colors his words.
"I didn't know what to think and I-I needed time." You replied, rubbing your tears away with your opposite hand. This is the first time he's seen you like this, so vulnerable. Capitano can't confidently say if he'd ever seen your cry before.
“Time for what?” Capitano urges you for more details. Your reasoning still alludes him. He would have gladly helped with any and all preparations for the baby. Seeing how things unfolded he regrets not being more forthcoming with his thoughts about having a child with you.
“To get a plan in place. If you told me to get rid of it.” Capitano can't even concieve of what you could mean. Would you attempt to leave him? Surely you weren't thinking something so idiotic, but he attempts to reserve judgement when he asks, "what would you have done?"
"Run away." You confess quietly, but Capitano only scoffs and rolls his eyes. The idea is preposterous. You will never leave him, Marriage is a bond that should be upheld and besides he is far too attached for you to leave now.
"I would never allow such a thing. You must honor the vows you made to me." Your husband asserts.
"I would still try. For my baby I-" You insist.
"Our baby." Capitano corrects. You pause, your tears dry and breathing calmed.
"I will not allow the child to inconvenience you." You plead, bringing a hand to his chest and searching his eyes, desperate for validation that he wants what you want. That he wants this child growing inside of you.
"No child of ours could ever be a burden to me." Your shoulders drop with relief and Capitano encircles you with his broad arms.
"You honor me most highly, by having my child." Capitano pauses before continuing, "and our child is already blessed to have a mother who would protect them so fiercely."
"You're not angry?" You question, shocked by his benevolence.
"Oh, I'm livid, but not about the child. At that news, I am delighted."
"I'm sorry," you whisper his name and nuzzle into his chest. "I just couldn't face your rejection. Not with this." You clarify and Capitano begins to see your perspective.
A child changes many dynamics in a romantic partnership and though the two of you seemed relatively stable in your young marriage. He can understand how your fear of his rejection would prevent you from being forthcoming. Especially with a matter so sensitive. Not that even remotely agrees with your actions.
"Is this why you have shied away from me these past month. Why you wouldn't let me touch you?"
You nodded.
Capitano picked you up and laid you on the bed, pushing your night gown up and spreading you legs. He licked his thumb and immediately began to caress your clit.
"You will not hide yourself from me in the future. I must know your thoughts."
You shuddered at the contact.
"Then you must do the same.” You demanded. Capitano could only smile at your gall, to be beneath him legs spread, pussy exposed and still you make demands of him.
"Behave this evening, sufficiently demonstrate your contrition, renew your devotion to me and I will give you anything you ask for." You consider his words before agreeing.
You nod again.
“Say yes husband.” Capitano requests with a raised brow.
"Yes, husband." A rare act of obedience. It suits you well.
Good. Capitano thinks. "I'm glad the terms are agreeable to you." He says lowering himself briefly to press a kiss to your lips, one much deeper and needier than any shared in recent months. Archons, how he's missed being with you like this.
Reluctantly Capitano parts from you and begins to undress himself, one hand working the buttons of his shirt while the other remains steadfast teasing your sex.
"You can start your penance by tending to me as I lick your cunt." Capitano’s smile grows wider as you shiver at his words, clearly aroused an eager. Despite the small pout that lingers on your lips. He heard that the libido of pregnant women was often more intense. You stubborn thing, denying yourself what you so clearly want. It is good that Capitano is in a forgiving mood. Your husband helps you out of your nightdress before laying beside you. He helps guide your hips to his face and keeps a guiding hand on your neck as he leads you to where he aches most. Capitano presses his nose to your dripping sex and inhales deeply. "It's been far too long since we last did this." He all but groans, and despite everything that’s transpired this evening, you're inclined to agree.

don't walk away from me (ln4)
✦ pairing - lando norris x female!reader
✦ genre - angst, neglect, alot of tears, fluff, it's super long
Tumblr media
Y/N sat on the edge of her bed, her heart racing and hands trembling as she stared at the small, white plastic stick in her hand. Two faint pink lines stared back at her, confirming what she had both feared and hoped for. She was pregnant.
Tears welled up in her eyes as a whirlwind of emotions swirled within her—fear, joy, uncertainty. She and Lando had been together for five years, but they had never discussed having children. Not seriously, at least. She had always imagined they would have this conversation when they were both ready, when the timing was perfect. But now, the reality of her situation hit her like a ton of bricks.
She placed the pregnancy test on the nightstand and hugged her knees to her chest, trying to calm herself. The house was eerily quiet, amplifying her anxiety. She glanced at the clock. Lando would be home soon. How was she going to tell him? What if he didn't want this? What if he wasn't ready?
The sound of the front door opening and closing pulled her out of her thoughts. She wiped her tears away and took a deep breath, steeling herself for the conversation ahead.
"Y/N, I'm home," Lando called out from downstairs.
She stood up, her legs feeling shaky, and walked to the top of the stairs. "Lando, can you come up here for a second?"
His footsteps echoed through the house as he made his way up the stairs. When he reached the bedroom door, he gave her a curious look. "What's up?"
Y/N bit her lip, her heart pounding in her chest. "I need to talk to you about something. Something important."
Lando's expression shifted to concern as he walked into the room and closed the door behind him. "Okay, you're scaring me. What's going on?"
She took a deep breath, her voice trembling. "I'm pregnant."
For a moment, there was silence. Lando's eyes widened, and his face went pale. "What? How?"
Y/N's tears started to flow again. "I don't know, Lando. It just happened. I'm scared too, but we need to talk about this."
Lando ran a hand through his hair, pacing back and forth. "This can't be happening right now. I'm not ready for this. We have our whole lives ahead of us, our careers. A baby wasn't part of the plan."
Her heart shattered at his words. "I know it's unexpected, but we can figure it out together. We love each other, don't we? We can make this work."
He stopped pacing and turned to face her, anger and frustration etched on his face. "I don't want a baby right now, Y/N. This isn't what I signed up for. How could you let this happen?"
She flinched at his harsh tone, her tears flowing freely. "It's not like I planned this, Lando. You are equally as responsible as I am. But it's happening, and we need to deal with it. Together."
He shook his head, his voice rising. "No, you need to deal with it. I can't handle this right now. I'm not ready to be a father."
The room was thick with tension, the air heavy with unspoken fears and shattered dreams. Y/N's heart ached as she realized the depth of his feelings. She had hoped for support, for understanding, but instead, she felt more alone than ever.
"Lando, please," she pleaded, her voice breaking. "We can figure this out. We can make it work."
He looked at her with a mix of anger and despair. "I can't, Y/N. I just can't."
With those words, he turned and left the room, the sound of the door slamming echoing through the house. Y/N collapsed onto the bed, her sobs wracking her body. She had never felt so lost, so scared, so heartbroken.
She sat on the edge of the bed, her hands trembling as she tried to compose herself. Lando’s reaction had been worse than she had imagined, and now he stood in front of her, pacing back and forth, his face contorted with frustration and disbelief.
"I thought you would fight for us. For me," she whispered, her voice breaking.
Lando stopped pacing and turned to face her, his eyes filled with a mix of anger and desperation. "Fight for us? Y/N, do you even understand what this means? My career, all of it—derailed! I’ve worked my entire life to get to this point, and now this?"
Tears streamed down her face as she looked up at him, her heart aching with every word he said. "Are you even listening to me, Lando? This isn’t just about you. This is our baby. Our future. You can’t just push this away because it’s inconvenient."
He threw his hands up in exasperation. "Inconvenient? Y/N, it’s more than inconvenient! It’s a complete upheaval of everything we’ve built. Everything I’ve built. How can you expect me to just accept this?"
She stood up, her voice trembling with a mix of anger and sorrow. "Because I love you, Lando! And I thought you loved me too. I thought we were in this together, no matter what."
He shook his head, his eyes filled with tears he refused to let fall. "I do love you, but this… this is too much. I’m not ready to be a father. I’m not ready for any of this."
Y/N took a step closer to him, her eyes pleading. "And you think I am? You think I wanted this to happen right now? But it did, and we have to deal with it. We have to face it together. Isn’t that what love is about?"
Lando’s voice softened, but his words still cut deep. "I’m scared, Y/N. I don’t know if I can do this."
Her heart shattered at the vulnerability in his voice, but she couldn’t let go of the anger and hurt that had built up inside her. "I’m scared too, Lando. But running away isn’t going to solve anything. We have to face this, together."
He looked away, his jaw clenched. "I need time to think. I can’t do this right now."
Y/N felt a surge of anger and desperation. "Time? We don’t have time, Lando. This is happening now, whether we’re ready or not. And I need you to be with me in this. I need you to fight for us."
He took a deep breath, his shoulders sagging with the weight of his emotions. "I don’t know if I can."
Her voice softened, but the pain was still evident. "Please, Lando. Don’t give up on us. Don’t give up on me."
He looked at her, his eyes filled with a mix of love and fear. "I’m sorry, Y/N. I just… I can’t."
With those words, he turned and walked out of the room, leaving Y/N standing there, her heart broken and her world turned upside down. She sank to the floor, her sobs echoing through the empty house.
In that moment, she realized that she was truly alone. She had hoped that their love would be strong enough to overcome any obstacle, but now she faced the harsh reality that sometimes, love wasn’t enough. But even in her despair, she knew she would fight for her baby. She would fight for the future she believed in, with or without Lando.
Because in the end, the love she had for her child was stronger than any fear, stronger than any heartbreak. And she would not let that love be derailed, no matter what.
The reality of her situation settled over her like a heavy blanket. She was pregnant, and the man she loved was not ready to face it with her. She was alone in this, and the path ahead seemed impossibly difficult.
But as she lay there, crying into the pillows, a steely resolve began to form within her. She would do whatever it took to protect and care for her child. She would find a way to make it work, with or without Lando.
a few hours later
Lando stood in the empty living room, the silence around him deafening. His eyes scanned the room, confusion and panic setting in as he noticed the absence of Y/N’s belongings. His heart raced as he hurried up the stairs to their bedroom, only to find it stripped of her presence. The closet doors hung open, her clothes gone, and the drawers emptied.
A notification buzzed on his phone, pulling him out of his frantic thoughts. He glanced at the screen to see a large deposit in his bank account. He froze, realizing what it meant. He rushed back downstairs, where a table was neatly stacked with items—clothes, jewelry, and gifts he had bought for Y/N over the years. Everything was returned, methodically placed as if to signify the end of their relationship.
Lando’s breath caught in his throat. He had never felt so lost, so utterly regretful. His mind raced back to their fight, his harsh words echoing in his ears. He had pushed her away, and now she was gone. Completely.
The doorbell rang, jolting him from his thoughts. He opened the door to find Carlos standing there, his expression a mix of anger and disappointment. Behind him, Rebecca stood with a comforting hand on Carlos’ shoulder.
“What are you doing here?” Lando asked, his voice hollow.
Carlos stepped inside, his eyes blazing. “I’m here because Y/N needs someone to look after her. Clearly, that’s not you anymore.”
Lando’s heart sank. “Carlos, I made a mistake. I didn’t mean for any of this to happen.”
Carlos’s jaw tightened. “A mistake? Lando, you didn’t just make a mistake. You broke her heart. You left her alone when she needed you the most.”
Lando’s eyes filled with tears. “I know, and I regret it. Please, just let me see her. Let me make things right.”
Carlos shook his head firmly. “No, you don’t get to see her. Not after what you did. She’s devastated, Lando. Do you understand that? She’s completely heartbroken.”
Lando’s voice cracked. “I didn’t know what to do. I was scared.”
Carlos’s anger flared. “And you think she wasn’t? You think she didn’t need you to be strong for her, to stand by her side? You were supposed to be her partner, and you abandoned her.”
Lando buried his face in his hands, his body shaking with sobs. “I know. I know I messed up. But I love her, Carlos. I love her so much.”
Carlos softened slightly but kept his guard up. “Love isn’t just words, Lando. It’s actions. And your actions showed her that she can’t rely on you. That she can’t trust you to be there for her.”
Rebecca stepped forward, her voice gentle yet firm. “Y/N needs time, Lando. She needs to heal. Right now, the best thing you can do is give her space and let her process everything.”
Lando looked up, his eyes pleading. “Please, just tell her I’m sorry. Tell her I love her and that I’ll do anything to make it right.”
Carlos’s gaze softened, but his resolve remained. “She knows, Lando. But it’s going to take more than words to fix this. It’s going to take time and a lot of effort on your part. And right now, the best thing for her is to be surrounded by people who will support her and help her heal.”
Lando nodded, his heart heavy with guilt and regret. “I understand. Please, just take care of her. Tell her I’m here, waiting, whenever she’s ready.”
Carlos and Rebecca turned to leave, but Carlos paused, his face filled with a mix of anger and sorrow. “I thought you would stick around, Lando. I thought you’d be there for her, no matter what. But now, she’s alone because of you.”
Lando felt the weight of Carlos’s words hit him like a punch to the gut. “I never wanted this, Carlos. I never wanted to hurt her.”
Carlos shook his head, his eyes filled with disappointment. “Intentions don’t matter when your actions speak louder. She needed you, and you walked away. Now she’s left to pick up the pieces on her own.”
As the door closed behind them, Lando sank to the floor, his heart aching with the weight of his mistakes. He had a long road ahead of him, and he knew that earning Y/N’s forgiveness and trust would be the hardest thing he’d ever have to do. But for her, he was willing to do whatever it took.
Because he couldn’t bear the thought of a future without her, and he would fight to make things right, no matter how long it took.
--
Carlos carefully helped Y/N settle into his guest room, ensuring she had everything she needed. He placed her suitcase at the foot of the bed and fluffed the pillows before turning to her with a gentle smile.
“Mi niña, if you need anything, just let me know, okay?” he said softly, his voice full of warmth and concern.
Y/N nodded, her eyes red and puffy from crying. She tried to put on a brave face, but the moment Carlos wrapped her in a comforting hug, she broke down completely, sobbing into his chest.
“Shh, it’s okay, Y/N,” Carlos whispered, rubbing her back soothingly. “Everything will be okay. I promise.”
She clung to him, her body shaking with each sob. “I-I don’t know what to do, Carlos. It hurts so much.”
He held her tighter, his heart breaking at the sight of her pain. “I know, mi niña. I know it hurts. But you’re not alone. We’re here for you. Rebecca and I, we’ll take care of you.”
Y/N pulled back slightly, looking up at him with tear-filled eyes. “I just… I thought he would fight for us. For me.”
Carlos gently wiped away her tears, his expression one of deep sorrow and fierce protectiveness. “Lando made a mistake, and he’s going to regret it. But right now, you need to focus on yourself and the baby. You’re strong, Y/N. You’re going to get through this.”
She nodded, trying to believe his words. “Thank you, Carlos. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
He smiled, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “You’re like a little sister to me. I’ll always be here for you, no matter what.”
Y/N leaned into his embrace, finding comfort in his unwavering support. “I just feel so lost.”
Carlos held her close, his voice gentle but firm. “You’re not lost, mi niña. You’re just finding a new path. And you have us to help you every step of the way.”
Rebecca entered the room quietly, carrying a tray with a cup of tea and some snacks. She placed it on the bedside table and joined them, wrapping her arms around Y/N as well.
“We’re going to take care of you,” Rebecca said softly. “You’re family to us, Y/N.”
Surrounded by their love and support, Y/N felt a small glimmer of hope. She still had a long road ahead of her, but with Carlos and Rebecca by her side, she knew she wouldn’t have to face it alone.
Carlos pulled back slightly, looking into her eyes. “Remember, mi niña, you’re stronger than you think. And we’ll be here to remind you of that every day.”
Y/N managed a small smile, her heart feeling a little lighter. “I’ll try to remember that. Thank you, Carlos. Thank you, Rebecca.”
Rebecca squeezed her hand gently. “We’re here for you, every step of the way.”
As Y/N settled into bed that night, she felt a sense of peace she hadn’t felt in weeks. She knew the journey ahead would be difficult, but with the support of those who loved her, she believed she could find her way.
--
Over the next few months Lando was adamant in trying to prove to Y/N that he will be there for her.
first instance: the midnight voicemail
Lando sat in his car outside Y/N's apartment, his fingers trembling as he held his phone. He had been doing this every night for the past six months, just listening to her voicemail. It was his way of feeling close to her, even when she needed space.
“Hey, it’s me, Lando,” he started, his voice soft and full of emotion. “I just wanted to say goodnight. I know you’re probably asleep, but I hope you and the baby are doing well. I-I just needed to hear your voice. I miss you. I love you. my love.”
He ended the call, tears streaming down his face. He knew she might never listen to these voicemails, but it didn’t matter. It was his way of staying connected, of showing her he cared.
second instance: the doctor's appointment
Y/N sat in the waiting room, nervously tapping her foot. She glanced up as the door opened and Lando walked in, carrying a small bouquet of her favorite flowers. He smiled softly at her, his eyes filled with concern and love.
“I thought you might like these,” he said, handing her the flowers.
She took them, her heart warming at the gesture. “Thank you, Lan.”
They sat together, waiting for her name to be called. When it was time, Lando stood up, offering her his hand. She hesitated for a moment before taking it, feeling the warmth of his support.
During the appointment, he stayed by her side, asking the doctor questions and making sure she was comfortable. It was clear he was committed to being there for her and their baby, no matter what. Towards the end Y/N interlocked her fingers with his.
third instance: the late-night cravings
One night, Y/N woke up with a sudden craving for chocolate ice cream. She sighed, knowing it was late, but her craving was too strong to ignore. She was about to get dressed to go to the store when her phone buzzed.
A message from Lando: Hey, just thinking about you baby. Do you need anything?”
She hesitated for a moment before replying, “Actually, yes. I’m craving chocolate ice cream. But it’s late, and I don’t want to bother you.”
Within minutes, her phone buzzed again. “On my way. Be there in 10.”
Ten minutes later, Lando knocked on her door, holding a bag with several tubs of chocolate ice cream. “I wasn’t sure which one you wanted, so I got a few different kinds,” he said with a sheepish smile.
Y/N’s heart swelled with gratitude. “Thank you, Lando. You didn’t have to do this. It means so much to me.”
He shrugged, his eyes full of warmth. “I want to. I want to be here for you, for both of you.”
fourth instance: the nursery
Lando had spent weeks secretly working on a nursery for their baby. He knew Y/N wanted to keep things simple, but he wanted to surprise her with something special. He enlisted the help of Carlos and Rebecca, who both supported him in his efforts to make things right.
One afternoon, he called Y/N and asked her to come over. When she arrived, he led her to the room that had once been his office. He opened the door, revealing a beautifully decorated nursery.
Tears filled Y/N’s eyes as she took in the sight. The walls were painted a soft, calming color, and there was a crib, a changing table, and a rocking chair. Everything was perfect.
“I wanted to show you that I’m committed to this, to our family,” Lando said, his voice full of emotion. “I know it’s just a room, but I hope it shows you how much I care.”
Y/N walked into the room, touching the crib and the soft blankets. “It’s beautiful, Lando. Thank you.”
He stepped closer, his eyes locked on hers. “I’ll always be here for you, Y/N. I promise.”
fifth instance: the ultrasound
The day of the ultrasound was a mix of excitement and nerves for Y/N. Lando had insisted on coming, even though he knew she still needed space. As they sat in the exam room, the technician prepped the equipment.
When the image of their baby appeared on the screen, Lando’s breath caught in his throat. Tears filled his eyes as he saw the tiny life they had created.
“That’s our baby,” he whispered, his voice full of awe.
Y/N looked at him, her own eyes filled with tears. “Yes, it is.”
He reached for her hand, squeezing it gently. “Thank you for letting me be here baby. I wouldn’t want to miss this for the world.”
--
Six months had passed, and Y/N knew Lando had done everything he could to prove his love and commitment. One evening, she found herself standing outside his apartment again, her heart pounding in her chest.
She knocked, and moments later, Lando opened the door, his eyes widening in surprise and hope. “Y/N,” he said softly, stepping aside to let her in. “Come in, please.”
She walked in, the familiar scent of his apartment washing over her. It felt like stepping back into a memory, a life that had once been hers.
Lando closed the door and turned to face her, his heart in his throat. “How are you feeling love?” he asked, his voice full of genuine concern.
She placed a hand on her growing belly, a small smile playing on her lips. “I’m doing okay. The baby’s doing well.”
He nodded, his eyes shining with unshed tears. “I’m glad. I’m so glad.”
They stood in silence for a moment, the weight of everything unsaid hanging between them. Finally, Y/N spoke, her voice steady but soft. “Lando, I’ve seen how hard you’ve been trying. You’ve been there for me, even when I didn’t want you to be. And I appreciate it. I really do.”
He looked at her, his heart aching with regret and hope. “I’ll never stop trying, Y/N. I know I messed up, and I know I have a lot to make up for. But I love you. I love you and our baby, and I’ll do anything to prove that to you.”
Tears welled up in her eyes, and she took a deep breath. “I know you will. I can see that now. And I’m ready to give us another chance.”
Lando’s breath hitched, and he took a tentative step closer to her. “You are?”
She nodded, wiping away a tear. “Yes. I’m not saying it’s going to be easy, and I’m not saying I’m not still hurt. But I want to try. I want us to try.”
He closed the distance between them, gently taking her hands in his. “I promise, Y/N. I’ll do everything I can to make things right. I’ll never take you for granted again.”
She squeezed his hands, her eyes searching his. “I need you to understand that it’s not just about words, Lan. It’s about actions. I need to know that you’re in this for the long haul, that you’re committed to us, to our family.”
He nodded, his eyes filled with determination. “I am. I swear I am. I’ve never been more certain of anything in my life.”
She let out a shaky breath, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders. “Okay. Then let’s do this. Together.”
Lando pulled her into a gentle hug, careful not to press too hard against her belly. “Thank you, Y/N. Thank you for giving me another chance. I won’t let you down.”
As they stood there, holding each other, the future seemed a little brighter, a little more hopeful. They had a long road ahead, but they were ready to face it together, hand in hand.
And for the first time in months, Y/N felt a sense of peace, knowing that they were going to be okay. That they were going to be a family. She was going to be with the man she loved and all was going to be right again.

A Feline Connection Part 4
Tumblr media
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x fem!reader
Summary: Natasha works together with you to help Widow and learns a bit more about just the kind of person you are.
Masterlist Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5
Warnings: light angst, violence, hurt/comfort, fluff
Words: 4329
Natasha steps onto the rooftop of a building, her footsteps barely making a sound as she surveys the city sprawled out beneath her. The low hum of night traffic mixed with the distant murmur of voices, creating the familiar backdrop of New York City after dark.
She approaches the edge of the building, her gaze sweeping across the streets below, her mind preoccupied with the message you had sent her.
A quick glance at her phone confirmed the location and time. She was exactly where she needed to be, but there was no sign of you or your little companion yet.
Natasha lets out a quiet breath, pocketing her phone as her thoughts drift to you.
Despite the doubts her training pressed upon her, her instincts tell her you weren’t a bad person—that she could trust you.
But she couldn’t let her personal feelings interfere, not when so much was still uncertain.
Your situation was complicated, tangled in a web of dangerous choices, which meant Natasha had to remain cautious and vigilant.
That’s when she feels a subtle shift in the air, a sudden presence behind her.
Instinctively, Natasha whirls around, her hand snapping out to catch a wrist mid-motion.
Her eyes meet yours, and in the instant of realization, she halts the throw she was about to execute. Instead, the force just pulls you closer in the process, until your chest is pressed against hers.
You stumble slightly, your hand instinctively landing on her shoulder for balance and support.
Natasha freezes, her breath catching at the sudden proximity.
Neither of you move, the air between you charged with tension. The heat of your body pressed intimately against hers sends a jolt through her system, and for a split second, she forgets to breathe.
A low chuckle escapes you, the sound reverberating against her chest. You look up, amusement dancing in your eyes.
“You’re getting better,” you murmur, a teasing smile curving your lips. “This makes it four to one.”
Natasha blinks, still processing just how close you are.
“Four to one?” she echoes, her brow furrowing slightly.
“How many times I’ve successfully sneaked up on you,” you clarify, your smirk widening. “You’ve only caught me once now.”
Natasha huffs, a faint smirk of her own tugging at her lips.
“Two of those times, I was asleep,” she counters.
You shake your head, clicking your tongue playfully.
“That’s no excuse for the Black Widow,” you tease. “What would your fans think?”
Before Natasha realizes what she is doing, she finds herself leaning slightly closer to you.
“I don’t know,” she whispers, her voice lower than usual, “you tell me.”
Your grin widens, clearly enjoying the usual banter between the two of you.
“I’m sure they’ll still be impressed by your other charming qualities,” you respond softly.
But beneath the amusement, there was a flicker of something else in your eyes—something deeper, almost as if you were daring her to close the distance between you.
Natasha’s pulse quickens, the warmth of your body drawing her in like a magnet, the faint glow of the city lights behind you only adding to the moment.
But just as quickly, she reminds herself of the situation. Of where you both stand.
She swallows, clearing her throat as she quickly releases your wrist and takes a step back, pushing away the feeling that had crept up on her.
“So,” Natasha begins, her voice slightly more controlled, “where’s our little friend?”
Before you can respond, something small and quick leaps onto Natasha’s back, clinging briefly before hopping onto her shoulder.
Startled for a moment, Natasha relaxes as she turns to see Widow perched there, letting out a happy meow in greeting.
Natasha chuckles softly, reaching up to scratch under Widow’s chin.
“There you are.”
You step around her, moving toward the ledge with a teasing glance.
“I’m pretty sure Widow’s score against you is much higher though,” you remark over your shoulder, brushing past her as you approach the edge of the rooftop.
Natasha’s eyes follow you, her attention drawn in once more, mesmerized as you gaze out over the cityscape, your features softened in the dim light.
That familiar warm feeling stirs within her as she takes in the sight of you.
Her focus is only broken when a soft paw taps at her cheek.
Natasha turns her gaze to the feline, who gives her an almost teasing meow before leaping gracefully from her shoulder to yours.
You smile fondly at the cat, gently stroking her fur before turning your focus back to the building across the street.
It’s an exclusive club—one of those high-end places with multiple floors reserved for private, discreet business dealings, both professional and personal, and most of the time, not law-abiding.
“What are we doing here?” Natasha asks, joining you by the ledge.
“This is where the control system for the device inside of Widow is being kept,” you explain, your tone shifting into something more serious.
“How do you know?”
You glance at her, raising an eyebrow in return.
Natasha nods slightly in understanding.
“You already tried to steal it,” she guesses, her eyes scanning the building across from you both. “But something went wrong.”
A small smile tugs at your lips, a hint of amusement flashing in your eyes.
“The system can’t leave this location,” you explain, giving Widow a gentle scratch on the head before setting her down on the ledge. “And Widow has to stay close enough to maintain the connection, which means the bomb has to be deactivated on-site.”
Natasha hums in acknowledgment, her fingers resting lightly against the cool stone of the building as she considers the situation. Deactivating a bomb with specific limitations–that’s something she can definitely help you with.
After a moment of silence, you speak again.
“How’s your mission going?” you ask casually, glancing sideways at her.
Natasha shoots you a look, one that clearly conveys her wariness of sharing too much. You had interfered with her mission before, after all, and trust was still a fragile thing between the two of you.
“Let’s just focus on deactivating the bomb first,” she says, pivoting away from your question.
You smile knowingly, understanding and respecting her decision to keep things close to the chest.
“Fair enough.”
Standing beside Widow, you pull out a small pen-like device from your pocket.
Natasha watches curiously as you aim it at one of the windows across the street.
A thin red laser flickers from the pen, bouncing off the glass as you click it a few times.
Widow’s attention snaps to the laser instantly, her tail twitching in anticipation. She lets out a soft meow before, without hesitation, leaping gracefully from the ledge.
Natasha’s heart skipped a beat as she watched the cat jump, and she leaned over the edge, only to see the feline's agile body landing on a nearby balcony below before disappearing into the shadows.
“You sure she’ll be okay?” Natasha asks, unable to keep the concern out of her voice.
You shoot her a playful glance.
“I told you—they always land on their feet.”
Natasha rolls her eyes but can’t help the small smile tugging at her lips. Standing a bit straighter, she turns back to you.
“So, what’s next?”
“Now…” you trail off, stepping closer to her, brushing your fingers lightly against her shoulder.
Your smirk deepens as you lean in, the space between you narrowing again.
“Now we see if the Black Widow can keep up.”
Before Natasha can respond, you shoot a grappling line across the street, the device pulling you swiftly into the shadows of the opposing building’s alleyway.
Natasha’s heart races as she watches you disappear, your movements smooth and precise.
Without hesitation, she grabs her own grappling hook, launching herself into the air with practiced ease. As her feet hit the ground, adrenaline surges through her veins, heightening her senses.
She stays close behind, catching glimpses of you darting through alleyways, your figure slipping in and out of view.
Almost closing the distance, Natasha rounds a final corner, only to find herself alone, standing at the back entrance of the building.
She scans the area, brow furrowing when she doesn’t see any sign of you.
Stepping up to the back door, Natasha tugs at the handle—locked.
That means you didn’t go in this way, but discovering that doesn’t mean it’s not something she can’t use.
With a determined sigh, Natasha knocks loudly, stepping back as the door clicks open.
A confused guard peers out, and Natasha gives him a small wave.
"Hey," Natasha greets with a disarming smile.
Before the guard can react, she flips him over her shoulder with a quick, fluid motion, knocking him out cold. Catching the door before it closes, she slips inside.
Moving swiftly through the dark back room, Natasha reaches the main doors leading into the club’s crowded interior. She cracks the door open, scanning the room for any sign of you but finding none.
Wondering about your whereabouts, Natasha suddenly feels a light touch on her shoulder and turns her head quickly, startled to find you standing there with a teasing smile.
“That’s another point for me,” you say, your tone playful.
Natasha huffs in disbelief but can’t deny you’ve managed to sneak up on her yet again.
Before she can respond, you grab her hand and pull her into the chaotic crowd of the club.
“Come on, Widow’s probably already waiting for us,” you say over your shoulder.
The music is loud, bodies moving in rhythm all around you as you guide her toward the bar. You signal the bartender for drinks before leaning back casually against the counter.
Without missing a beat, you slide Natasha’s hand to rest on your waist, your arm casually wrapping around her shoulders, pulling her closer.
Natasha’s breath catches, her body brushing against yours as her other hand rests on the bar counter for support.
The close proximity between you stirs something within her, her pulse quickening at the way your warmth seeps into her skin.
Leaning in, you make it look like you’re whispering something intimate, but your words are purely business, focused on the mission.
“The only way to the elevator for the exclusive floors is through that door,” you murmur, nodding toward a guarded entrance. “We’ll need a valid room key to get in.”
Natasha swallows, the sensation of your breath against her ear momentarily distracting her.
“You have one?” she asks, her voice slightly breathless.
"Not yet," you reply, leaning back, your eyes gleaming with mischief. "But I’ll have one in a second. How’s your acting?"
Before Natasha can respond, the bartender sets two drinks beside you.
Turning, you grab them quickly before spinning on your heel and colliding with a nearby patron.
The impact sends the drinks spilling all over the man’s expensive suit. He lets out a shout of surprise, his face contorting in outrage.
“Oh! I’m so sorry!” you exclaim, your tone perfectly apologetic as you frantically pat his soaked jacket with a napkin.
The man scowls, waving off your apology and shoving you back roughly.
“This suit is worth more than your life!” he snaps angrily.
Before he can say anything else, Natasha steps in, her arm wrapping protectively around your waist as she pulls you against her.
Her gaze sharpens, daring the man to make a scene.
“It was an accident, and she already apologized,” Natasha says, her tone firm. “Now, I suggest you go clean yourself up before you say anything else you’ll regret.”
The man hesitates, his mouth opening as if to argue, but when his eyes meet Natasha’s steely glare, he rethinks his decision.
With a disgruntled huff, he storms off toward the restroom.
Turning in her arms, you flash her a playful grin.
"My hero," you tease, placing a dramatic hand on her shoulder.
Natasha rolls her eyes, but there’s a hint of a smile on her lips.
“The key card?” she prompts.
With a smirk, you hold up the card you deftly swiped from the man’s jacket.
“Got it.”
“Show-off,” Natasha mutters, though her voice is tinged with warmth.
With the key card in hand, you lead her toward the guarded entrance, your hand finding hers again.
The guards barely glance at you as you approach, their attention more focused on the crowd behind you.
With a quick swipe of the card, the door unlocks, and the two of you slip past the guards, making your way toward the private elevator.
Once inside, the doors close with a soft hiss, and the noise from the club fades into silence.
The enclosed space feels intimate, and Natasha is acutely aware of your proximity, your hand still lightly clasped around hers.
“So, what’s next after we finish this?” Natasha asks, her voice softer.
You lean casually against the wall, tilting your head at her with a teasing smile.
“Already thinking about the future? We haven’t even finished the mission yet.”
Natasha huffs a soft laugh, but there’s an underlying seriousness to her question.
“Will you leave the city?” she asks, her voice softening in understanding how that would be the safest option for the two of you once their leverage on you is gone.
Your playful demeanor falters slightly, replaced by a more thoughtful expression.
“I don’t know. Widow’s grown pretty fond of you,” you say before giving her a soft smile.
“She’ll miss you…” you swing your clasped hand lightly before adding in a whisper. “…and I might too."
Natasha’s heart skips a beat, her eyes locking with yours. The space between you seems smaller, the air around you charged with something unspoken.
Before either of you can say anything more, the elevator dings, signaling your arrival.
Natasha glances away, the moment interrupted as the doors slide open to reveal a sleek, quiet hallway.
You let go of her hand as you step out of the elevator with Natasha following soon after.
You find the door you need to enter at the end of the hall.
There is only one problem—a complex lock is in place, far more sophisticated than expected.
You kneel before it, pulling out a small set of tools from your jacket.
Natasha stands beside you, her eyes scanning the hallway as you start working on the lock.
You can feel her close, her presence like a shadow hovering protectively over you.
A few moments in, the sound of approaching footsteps reaches Natasha’s ears, her posture tensing.
She knows that just standing by the door is too suspicious, especially if someone spots them like this.
She’s about to warn you and prepare for a confrontation when, without missing a beat, you stand abruptly and grab Natasha by the arm, pulling her close.
Natasha’s eyes widen for a split second, but you’re quicker—your lips press against hers, soft and urgent.
It takes her only a heartbeat to respond, melting into the kiss, her hand sliding up to cup your neck, pulling you closer.
Your back bumps against the door as Natasha steps forward, closing any distance between your bodies. You gasp in surprise at the action, the soft and low sound escaping from you as Natasha deepens the kiss.
Her lips move against yours with a heat and intensity that catches both of you off guard while your fingers find and clench at her jacket, pulling her impossibly closer to you.
Natasha’s body molds perfectly against yours as the sound of the footsteps draws nearer.
Whoever was coming stops briefly at the end of the hall, but the sight of two people lost in a passionate embrace seems to deter them, and soon the footsteps retreat quickly.
As soon as the danger passes, you pull back slightly, your breath warm against her lips, your dilated eyes still locked with hers as a flush graces your cheeks.
Natasha feels a rush of heat in her chest at the sight and finds herself wanting to linger in the moment.
“Was that part of the plan?” Natasha whispers, her voice rough and breathless.
You smirk, your thumb brushing lightly against her waist.
“Improvised. But effective,” you tilt your head slightly, causing your nose to brush lightly against hers, your voice lowering. “I’m sure that’s not the first time you’ve had to pretend to kiss someone.”
Natasha smirks, though her voice is tinged with something more.
“Sure…pretend.”
For a moment, the two of you don’t move any further away from each other, the heat still remaining.
Natasha exhales softly as her eyes linger on you a moment longer, and she finds herself leaning in again, slow enough for you to move away if you want.
But you don’t.
Just as she’s about to close the distance again, a sharp click echoes through the hallway—the lock disengaging.
The sound pulls both of you back to the mission at hand, interrupting the moment, and the two of you hear a distinct familiar meow from behind the door.
Clearing your throat lightly, you give her a small smile before turning the door handle and stepping back to push the door open.
“After you,” you say softly, holding the door open for her.
Releasing a steadying breath, Natasha steps past you, her heart still racing from the kiss, but her focus returns to the task ahead.
Inside the room, the dim light casts shadows on the furniture.
Widow steps out from the darkness, meowing softly as she moves toward Natasha.
However, the cat stops in the space between the two of you and turns her sharp gaze from you to her curiously as if she senses the shift of the tension in the air.
Natasha scratches the cat’s head gently in greeting before glancing at you.
“Where’s the system?” she asks, her mind shifting back to the mission.
You move to the large desk, pressing a hidden panel. The surface slides open, revealing a sleek terminal.
“Right here. Couldn’t exactly carry this out the window,” you joke.
Natasha moves to the screen, her fingers quickly accessing the system.
Widow hops onto the desk, curiously observing Natasha before attempting to reach for the keys on the keyboard, but you pull her back before she can.
“No,” you reprimand gently.
The cat lets out a small, disgruntled cry, displeased at not being allowed to assist Natasha in her hacking.
Natasha’s lips quirk up fondly at the cat’s antics before returning to her task.
As she works, you stand nearby, watching her closely, your presence a comforting weight beside her.
For a moment, the mission fades, and Natasha finds herself thinking about your words in the elevator and what happened earlier, wondering if this—whatever this is—could be something more.
But there’s still so much she doesn’t know about you—of the things you’re still hiding.
Wanting to learn more, Natasha breaks the silence, her voice soft.
“What happened between you and them? To make them go this far?”
You lean against the desk, your teasing tone light.
“Trying to dig into my past, Miss Black Widow? Feels like something we’d discuss on a first date.”
Natasha smirks, her fingers still moving over the keys.
“This would definitely be one of the more interesting dates I’ve had.”
You chuckle, running a hand through Widow’s fur as she curls beside you.
Just when Natasha thinks you’re not going to tell her, you speak up.
“We worked together for years. Started off small—simple jobs, easy money. But then, things got darker. Shadier deals, dangerous clients.” Your voice lowers, growing more serious. “I didn’t know people were getting hurt. But when I found out…I couldn’t stay. So, Widow and I ran.”
Natasha nods, her heart softening at your story.
“And now they want you to pay for that.”
“Pretty much,” you say before hesitating slightly and deciding to add under your breath. “That and when I left, I stole almost all of their money at the time and gave it away anonymously to multiple charities across the world.”
Natasha pauses, her brows raising at you in disbelief.
You give her a serious nod in response, no signs of joking or teasing in your expression. Widow meows as if confirming your statement.
Natasha exhales an impressed huff, shaking her head slightly.
“That’s bold,” she states, her fingers moving deftly over the keyboard as she resumes her work. “But strangely, not surprising of you.”
You let out a light laugh, pushing off the edge of the desk where you’d been leaning. There’s a casual ease in your posture, but your gaze lingers on her as if considering something deeper.
“What about your past, Miss Black Widow?”
Natasha’s lip twists slightly, a flicker of sadness crossing her face before she looks up at you.
“Everything I’ve done was revealed to the public when SHIELD fell,” she says, her voice carrying a heavy note of resignation. “So, you know my past isn’t all that much better than yours. Neither am I.”
A quiet settles over the room, the only sound being the soft clicking of the keys as Natasha continues her work.
You watch her in that silence, your mind running over her words and the weight they carry.
Finally, you break the stillness, your tone thoughtful.
“I disagree.”
Natasha glances at you with an amused smirk on her lips.
“And what do you think you know about me?”
You meet her gaze steadily, the playful edge in your smile softening as you speak.
“I know you have trouble sleeping because you’re haunted by what you’ve done.”
Natasha freezes, her fingers going still as her eyes snap up to meet yours, surprise flickering in her gaze.
You hold that connection, offering a small, genuine smile as you continue.
“I know that’s why you spend your life dedicated to helping others. Why you keep trying to fix things, why you’re helping me and Widow.”
As if on cue, the cat meows from her perch on the desk, casting a curious look between the two of you. You chuckle lightly at Widow’s timing before turning back to Natasha.
“I know that you don’t judge people based on past mistakes, no matter how bad they were.”
There’s a pause, the air thick with the weight of the moment.
Your voice softens, and the sincerity in your words is palpable as you add, “And I know you’re a good person. You’ve already proven that to me. More than once.”
Natasha’s throat tightens, and she swallows lightly, clearly moved by your words though she tries to hide it.
Her gaze lingers on you a second longer, searching your expression for any trace of doubt or insincerity.
“Careful,” she finally says, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth, her voice teasing but softer now. “You’re starting to sound like a fan.”
You roll your eyes, though your chuckle is warm, the tension between you lightening for just a moment.
“I think I might see the appeal,” you tease back, flashing her a smile.
Natasha’s lips quirk upward, her eyes softening briefly before she returns her attention to the computer. Her fingers fly over the keys, a determined focus settling back over her as she works.
After a few more moments, she inhales sharply.
“I’ve got it,” she says, looking up at you with a triumphant glint in her eyes. “I can deactivate the device.”
You step closer, leaning over her shoulder to peer at the screen. The proximity makes the air between you feel charged, your breath warm against her neck.
"Great. Let’s finish this."
Natasha presses a few final keys, initiating the deactivation sequence.
Widow, who had been lounging nearby, suddenly stiffens and stands. The cat lets out a disgruntled meow, glaring at both of you with wide, accusing eyes before biting at the side of her body in irritation.
“So…it’s done?” you ask, your voice laced with relief but still tentative as you straighten and take a step back.
Natasha nods, glancing at the system.
“The bomb’s deactivated,” she confirms. “But we should still take her back to the Compound, just to make sure everything’s clear.”
Before Natasha can say more, a sudden alert flashes on the screen.
Furrowing her brows, she analyzes the information, her heart sinking as she realizes the deactivation triggered something else—another similar device has been activated.
Her fingers flies across the keys as she searches for more information.
The location of the system for this other device appears to be hidden somewhere else instead of here, so there nothing she can do to deactivate it.
But she does end up finding some details and specifications about the device.
Her eyes scan the screen before widening in alarm once she sees who the device is implanted in.
Your name is listed at the bottom of the screen.
Before she can react, Natasha feels a sharp prick on the side of her neck. She recoils away and turns around, her hand flying to the spot.
Her eyes meet yours in confusion before drifting to the tranquilizer in your hand.
You flinch guiltily at her accusing stare.
“That makes it six,” you say softly with a sad sigh.
Natasha frowns in realization as her body becomes almost instantly numb, and she stumbles back against the desk, trying to support herself up.
Widow runs toward her, meowing in concern, her paw raising to grip Natasha’s arm.
But Natasha doesn’t pay attention to the small creature, her focus entirely on you.
“Why?” Natasha grits out.
“I told you—one more job,” you say, your voice filled with remorse. “And I can’t have you interfering.”
You give her a regretful expression.
“Unfortunately, I do need to use you one last time.”
Natasha feels the last of her energy escaping as her legs collapse from under her, and she falls to the ground, her eyelids feeling heavier to keep open.
You crouch down beside her, brushing a strand of hair from her face with a tenderness that cuts deeper than any wound.
Widow hops down from the desk and lands in space between the two of you, her cries growing louder in panic as she looks between you and Natasha in confusion.
Natasha feels the soft paws pushing insistently against her as her vision darkens, her body going limp as the last of her strength fades.
Widow’s concerned cries grow distant as the world around her slips away. The last thing she hears before she loses consciousness is your voice, soft and filled with regret.
“I’m sorry.”
And then, there’s only darkness.

Getting Bold
Tumblr media
Nana is going to help you gain some confidence...in her own way. Things start off slow and quickly boil over into some roughness. @i-am-lifeform24
Length 2.5K
Nana x Mreader
You clasped your hands together, turning your head and seeing the sneering faces of your bullies; they were laughing just around the corner. They knew about your crush on Nana and forced you to ask her out. You turn back to Nana; she tilts her head, wondering why you stopped her. “Um, Nana. I…” You look down on the floor, nervous. Your hands become sweaty as you briefly raise your gaze to meet her eyes. “I like you. Do you want to go out on a date?” You blurt out, shifting your eyes downward again. All eyes in the hallway were on you, people whispering to each other about you daring to ask out Nana.
Nana smiles at you, seeing your shyness. “Sure, can we go out tomorrow?” She asks, moving her hands behind her back as her smile grows. You look up at Nana, stunned that she accepted your date. You ask her to repeat herself, “I said, yeah. Does tomorrow work?”
“Yeah, that sounds good.”
Nana reaches forward, grabbing your hand. “I’ll plan things out. Just give me your number.” You scramble, looking for something to write your number on. You grab the first thing you can get, and it’s a marker. Then, you continue looking for something to write on. Nana waits patiently, checking her watch. “You can write it on my arm; I’ll write it down later. I have a class soon.” You nod and scramble to write down your number on her arm. Nana giggles as she feels the fibers of the marker rub against her arm. “That tickles.”
After writing your number, Nana reads it aloud and confirms it before waving goodbye. As Nana leaves, you exhale, feeling the weight lift from your shoulders. You glance at your bullies before turning and walking away. A sense of relief washes over you as you hurry to your next class, happy it’s over for now. Nana looks at her arm, pulling out her phone as she rushes off to class and puts it in her contacts. After class, she washed off the number, ensuring her arm was clean.
The following day, you and Nana meet at a cozy cafe; she texted you all the details. She sits in front of you, sipping on her iced coffee. “I never expected you to ask me out. What came over you?” She asks, smiling softly.
“I-my bullies wanted to embarrass me by asking you out.” You say, wanting to be honest with her. Nana nods her head and taps your hand. Your eyes move to meet hers.
“That’s okay. Don’t think about that too much. I’m glad you did. I think you’re cute.” Nana says boldly.
Your heart skips a beat, and you can’t help but ask, “Really?”
“Yeah, but you’re always so shy and nervous.” Nana teases, leaning over the table to smack your shoulder. “You need to be more confident.”
“There’s not much to be confident about.”
“There is,” Nana replies as the two of you continue chatting, finding things in common. Your date was meant to last an hour at most, but by the time you left the cafe, it was the evening. As you walk out with Nana, she spins on her heel, turning to you. “I want to help you with your confidence.” She says, smiling. “That’s what a girlfriend does.”
“Girlfriend?”
Nana gives you a defeated sigh, smiling as she does. “Yeah, I want to go on more dates with you. Today was a lot of fun. Maybe next time we can do something more physical.” Nana raises her arms, stretching her body. “Talking with you was nice, but those chairs weren’t comfortable.” You nod and smile at Nana. She takes a step closer, kissing your cheek. “I’ll see you at school.”
“Yeah, I’ll see you there.” Nana waves to you as she heads home. You rub your cheek, still feeling her lips on it. You feel happy knowing that the two of you would have more dates. You take a deep breath and begin making your way home.
As Nana walks away, she thinks of ways to raise your confidence. She figures that with enough dates, you will become more confident. If that doesn’t happen, Nana will find another way.
You and Nana go on more dates, becoming more comfortable with each other, but you are still shy and nervous. It was a few months now of seeing little improvement; Nana began thinking of things that would raise your confidence. While she loved you, she wanted to see you take charge. During school, Nana hangs out with you, eats lunch with you, and chats until your classes are separate, trying to bring you out of your shell. Walking by the women's bathroom, she overhears some chatter from inside the room. “I’m telling you, he’s so good. Fucking him is like nothing else.” As Nana continues walking, she considers sex as an option. Her thoughts build off this, thinking that losing your virginity would give you a much-needed confidence boost. It makes Nana nervous; she’s only kissed your cheek after all your dates. It would be a big jump for the two of you. Nana did have more experience, but she didn’t know how you would feel. Nana continued planning things out, deciding to do something she believed would boost your confidence.
She messaged you, inviting you to her home. The two of you walked together, staying silent for the most part. Nana was the first to speak, “Hey, I, um, want to move to the next level.” She says, reaching for your hand. She takes it, gripping it tightly, “We’ve gone on a few dates, and I’ve really enjoyed my time with you.”
“So you want to-”
“Have sex,” Nana finishes your sentence. You feel her grip tighten.
“Nana, I’m-”
“I know,” She says, stopping in her tracks. “I know, and you know I’ve done it before. I want you to be more confident… for us.” You nod your head, uncertain how much sex would help you.
You continue on your way to Nana’s home. She lets you in and has you wait in the living room while she goes to her bedroom. Nana takes a deep breath and strips off her clothing, heading into the connecting bathroom. There, she looks at herself in the mirror. She turns around, looking at her naked form, before heading back into the bedroom. She searches through her drawers, finding the marker she was looking for. She opens the door and pokes her head out. “You can come in now.” She shouts, shutting the door and lying down on the bed.
You open the door, peering inside. Your eyes meet Nana, slowly moving down to take in her body. Nana’s breathing quickens as you stare at her body; she feels embarrassed and moves her hands to cover herself. “Don’t just stare. Come in.” You close the door and walk closer to Nana. Your cock begins to harden, struggling against its confines. Nana glances at your bulge but quickly moves her eyes back to yours. “I’m offering you everything tonight.” She says softly before handing you a marker. You give Nana a quizzical look, wondering what it was for. “I want you to write on my body. I’m your girlfriend; I’m all yours.” She says, a nervous smile on her face. She holds her breath, waiting for a response. “Please say something; I’m dying of embarrassment here.” She says with a chuckle.
“You’re beautiful,” Those were the only words that stumbled from your mouth as you continued to scan her body.
“I should’ve expected that,” Nana says quietly. She reaches forward, uncapping the marker and grabbing your hand, leading it to her stomach. “I’m all yours,” She repeats. “Write it down.” You look into Nana’s eyes, following her orders and writing your name on her. “For your sole use.” You write it all down, pulling away to see it written on her formerly pristine body. You become more aroused at the thought of Nana being yours. She felt the same way, her cunt tingling as she sees your name written on her. She didn’t expect this to turn her on, but she continues. Nana takes the marker from you, drawing an arrow toward her slit. Nana caps the marker, placing it beside her. She leans forward and pulls down your pants. The only thing blocking her from your cock was your underwear, and it similarly went away. “You’re pretty big,” Nana said with a gulp. She reached for it, grasping it gently and running her hand along your shaft. You groan from the unusual pleasure; it was different than when you did it yourself.
Nana kisses your neck as you crawl over her, “Kiss me.” You follow along, kissing her to the best of your ability. She giggles, “Not bad for your first time.” You moan into the kiss as Nana’s hand continues to move along your cock; her grip tightens as her hand becomes covered in your precum. “Don’t cum so soon,” She whispers, her palm rubbing against the tip.
You struggle to contain yourself, Nana’s hand begins moving faster. Her skilled hand was bringing you to an early climax. Your hands move toward Nana’s lower half, gripping her thigh as she puts her other arm around you. “If you’re going to cum, at least do it inside me,” Nana says as she slows down. She aligns you with her entrance, pushing the tip against her folds. “Push in.” You grunt and go inside her, moving half your length inside. “Ah, slowly, remember you’re pretty big.” You take your time moving the rest in.
Nana’s walls are slippery but hold onto you tightly. You feel yourself about to cum, your cock throbbing inside her. Nana wraps her legs around your waist, her feet pushing you in deeper. You stare at her face. Nana shut her eyes, her lips forming an O as she moaned. Once you were buried inside her, you came, your cum filling her. You listen to her gasp. Nana feels the waves of cum pouring into her, and she bites her lip, enjoying the warmth of it. “That feels so good, baby.” She says, kissing you. She cups your cheek, “We’re a long way from done, okay?” You nod your head. “When you can start thrusting your hips. For now, just touch my body.”
Your hands wander to Nana’s modest breasts; they’re the perfect size. You squeeze them gently, feeling her nipple harden against your palm. “That’s it,” Nana moans. “Claim every part of me.” Nana’s moans drive you to do more; you begin moving your hips. Dragging your cock out of her before ramming it back in. “Oh shit,” Nana groans as she feels your cock impale her. You begin thrusting into her, her wall becoming tighter as you move your hands to her waist and strengthen your grip.
“Y-you’re so tight,” you grunt, continuing to gain speed. Nana’s moans slowly grow louder, and she clings to you. She bites her lip, feeling your cock move through her.
“Harder,” She whines, her legs growing tighter around you. You felt yourself nearing another orgasm, and Nana was reaching her first. She pressed her lips against yours, reveling in the pleasure she felt as you came inside her again. Your seed claiming her womb as she cums on your cock
Nana’s legs flexed as she came, slowly relaxing as she milked your cock. They uncrossed and fell to your sides. You pull out slowly, your cum flowing out of her cunt. Your eyes slowly move up Nana’s body, reaching her tired face.
“I want to go again,” you tell her. You were getting soft, though. Nana notices and turns her body over, reaching into her nightstand, where she pulls out a pill.
“I thought we might need this.” She says, popping the pill into her mouth before passing it to you via a kiss. You swallow the pill with zero problems, and in a few minutes, you're at full mast. Nana turns herself around, raising her ass to you and swaying it. You move your hands along her back, ready to take her again. Noticing the marker, you grab it and write on her body, making notes on her back and ass. Nana notices you begin taking charge, staying silent as she lets you do what you want. Having her body covered in your notes turns her on, and seeing that her plan is working makes her happy.
You toss the marker to the side and hold onto Nana’s waist with one hand as you move the other between her folds. She helps you align your cock with her cunt, nudging you in the right direction without you noticing. You press against her entrance before ramming your length back inside. You give Nana little chance to get used to your size, beginning your thrusts immediately. As your bodies collide, you watch her body recoil against yours, her flesh jiggling as it presses against you. You raise your hand, slapping Nana’s ass and listening to her her yelp.
Nana buries her head in her bed sheets, biting her lip as you fuck her. She was being pushed to the limit, enjoying how you became more aggressive and confident in your actions. She arches her back, letting you get in deeper.  You reach forward, grab Nana’s arms, and continue to thrust, her moans growing louder as she nears her climax. With her walls tightening around you, you speed up your thrusts. “I’m cumming, Nana,” You grunt, your cock throbbing inside her. Nana begs you to cum inside her, shouting for you to fill her pussy. You bury yourself inside her, flooding her cunt with your semen.
Nana’s body twitches as she cums, her walls tightening and loosening around you as she milks your cock. Her eyes are half-lidded as her climax rocks her world. The two of you continue having sex into the night, Nana’s body becoming a canvas for you as you write more crude things on her body. In the end, Nana can barely walk herself over to the bathroom. She turns on the light and shuts the door as you sleep in her bed. Looking in the mirror, she sees everything you’ve written, every part of her you claimed as yours. She smiles to herself and rubs her sore folds, groaning with satisfaction. She turns on the water to her bath, scrubbing herself clean so she wouldn’t have to do it in a rush tomorrow morning.
There was a clear difference in you; she could tell as much. Ou held her hand in the hallways as you walked her to her classes. You were generally more relaxed, kissing Nana on the cheek and a little spank before leaving her side at the door.  Nana was surprised at your boldness but smiled; she loved the transformation. While there were still times that you were shy and nervous, they came less often. Your confidence had skyrocketed after the night with Nana; hearing her cries of pleasure and her calling your name gave you a significant boost. She was happy to see the change and saw that others were noticing it.

Lando Norris (McLaren) - The Almost Kiss
Requested: yes
Prompt: Lando is out for the season and catches feeling for his replacement
Warnings: nope
Tumblr media
Y/n jolted awake to the buzzing of her phone on the bedside table, the sound pulling her out of a deep sleep. Her hand fumbled for it, and when she finally answered, the grogginess was replaced with confusion. "Hello, Y/n." She mumbled. "Y/n, it’s Andrea. You need to come to the McLaren factory. Immediately." Her heart raced. She wasn’t used to getting calls this early in the morning. What could possibly be happening? Y/n was a reserve driver, sure, but there hadn’t been any news of anything happening to the main drivers. "Yeah, I'll get dressed and be in soon."
Half-dressed, still trying to wake up fully, she rushed to the factory, nerves on edge. By the time she arrived, her mind was racing with possibilities. When she stepped inside, the atmosphere felt tense, and she spotted Zak waiting for her. "Y/n." Zak started as soon as she was within earshot. "What's happening?" Y/n asked as Zak put his arm around her to lead her up towards the meeting rooms. "Lando’s out. He’s had an accident, nothing too serious, but enough to sideline him for the rest of the season." Her eyes widened. "Oh my god, how's that happened?" Zak rubbed his forehead. "He was out last night, partying because of his first win, took a fall, broke his tibia. We’ve had it confirmed that he won’t be able to drive for the rest of the season."
Y/n’s heart pounded in her chest. This was it, this was her chance. But the weight of the situation also sank in. Lando was injured, and she was being thrown into one of the biggest opportunities of her career. "We need you to step up." Zak continued, his voice firm but encouraging. "You’ll be taking Lando’s place. Effective immediately." She nodded, adrenaline pumping. This was what she had trained for, but the circumstances made it feel surreal. She was going to be one of McLaren’s main drivers.
The next few days were a whirlwind. Hours in the simulator, endless debriefs, and preparing for her first race as the primary driver. Every evening, Y/n found herself staying late, pushing herself in the simulator, wanting to prove she was ready for the challenge.
One evening, as she was deeply immersed in the simulation, the door to the room creaked open. She glanced up to see Lando standing there in a set of crutches, but a smile on his face. "Aren't you meant to be in a wheelchair for a while?" Y/n asked. "Yeah, but I like walking around on my one leg." He replied. "So you're a cripple then?" Lando laughed as he hobbled over towards the side of the simulator. "Need some help?" He asked casually. Y/n blinked, surprised. "You sure? I know you have to go to rehabilitation training and physio and-" Lando chuckled. "Yeah, well, I’ve got time. And besides, I figured I could help coach you a bit. You know, since I’ve been around for a while." Y/n smiled gratefully. "I’d appreciate that."
For the next few hours, Lando stood in the race engineer box of the simulator, giving tips and feedback, helping her adjust to the intricacies of McLaren’s car. His advice was invaluable, but more than that, it was nice to have him there calm, supportive, and surprisingly humble.
As the weeks passed, they grew closer. Between races and simulator sessions, they began to spend more time together. It started with casual meals in the motorhome, sharing laughs about life on the circuit, and then evenings spent debriefing together. The more time they spent with each other, the more their friendship deepened, and Y/n couldn’t help but notice how easy it was to be around him. It wasn’t long before she found herself in Monaco with him, where he had invited her to move into his place, just to make things easier between races. What had started as a practical arrangement became something much more meaningful. They would cook together, joke around, and occasionally sit in comfortable silence, watching the sunset over the harbor.
One of the first mornings she had spent in her bew apartment, Y/n had barely stirred from her peaceful slumber when a knock echoed through her apartment. She sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. The world outside was only starting to light up as the sun rose over the principality through her blinds. She glanced at her phone. 7:00 AM? Who could that be? Reluctantly, she slid out of bed, tugging a hoodie over her sleep shirt as she padded barefoot toward the door. The knock came again, more insistent this time.
"I'm coming, hold on." She mumbled under her breath, unlocking the door and swinging it open. To her surprise, standing on the other side of the threshold was none other than Lando, looking fresh despite the ungodly hour. He offered her a crooked grin, his hands stuffed into the pockets of his hoodie. "Lando?" She asked in disbelief, her voice still thick with sleep. "How on earth did you get up here?" He gave a nonchalant shrug, his boyish grin widening. "The lift."
"Obviously." She deadpanned, leaning against the doorframe with a raised eyebrow. "But why? And why are you knocking on my door at-" She glanced at her phone again. "7 AM?" Lando shifted on his feet, looking almost sheepish for a moment. "I have a rehab session and I really don't want to go alone. Thought maybe you'd want to tag along?" His eyes met hers with a hopeful glint. Y/n blinked, processing his request. "You came all the way here just to ask me to go to rehab with you?"
"Well, yeah. Plus, I needed a ride." His grin turned cheeky, and she couldn't help but roll her eyes, though the hint of a smile tugged at her lips. "Lando, you have a whole team of people at your disposal. You could’ve called one of them."
"Yeah, but they're not you." He said with a smirk, and something in his casual tone made her heart skip a beat. "So, you coming or what?" He asked. "What's in it for me?" She challenged, letting him in. "A stop at the cafe du Paris if you get me to physio on time." Y/n sighed, shaking her head in amused disbelief. "Alright, alright. Let me get changed. Give me five minutes." Lando slumped down onto her sofa. "You're the best."
She quickly disappeared back into her room, rifling through her drawers for something more appropriate than her pajamas. As she threw on a pair of leggings and a sweatshirt, she couldn't help but smile to herself. Lando showing up out of the blue like this wasn’t exactly unusual—it was one of the things she liked about their friendship. He was spontaneous, always keeping her on her toes. Within minutes, Y/n was ready, grabbing her keys and slipping on a pair of sneakers as she met Lando by the door. He was already scrolling through his phone, humming under his breath.
"Let's go." She said, as Lando turned and hobled out the door. "Jesus, mate. You need to get out of these crutches, it's scaring away all the women." She joked. "Chick's dig this." Labdo replied. "I must be immune, Norris." They headed down the hallway and into the lift, Lando still chatting away about his recent races and how his shoulder injury was making training a nightmare. Y/n listened with a fond smile, appreciating how comfortable their conversations always were. It didn’t matter that it was now half 7 in the morning, and she hadn’t had her coffee yet; being around him always had a way of brightening her day. Once they reached the car, she slid into the driver’s seat, glancing over at him. "You sure you're okay with this?"
"Of course." Lando said, buckling in. "It's just rehab. But I appreciate you coming with me." Y/n nodded as she started the engine, pulling out of the parking garage. The early morning streets were quiet, making the drive peaceful. The two of them fell into easy conversation, and before she knew it, they were pulling up to his physios home. Lando turned to her as they parked. "Thanks for this, really. You didn’t have to."
"I know." She replied with a soft smile. "That's what makes me so nice." He returned her smile, lingering for a moment before unbuckling his seatbelt and stepping out of the car. "Oh, the bestest ever." He replied mockingly.
The teasing, the coffees, it was all just part of this great friendship they had going on. Yet, beneath the surface, there was a growing tension. Unspoken feelings hung in the air between them, but neither dared to address it.
One race weekend, however, everything changed. Y/n had been hit with a penalty that she fiercely believed was unjust. After a heated argument with the stewards, she was slapped with a fine, and her frustration boiled over. Storming out of the stewards’ room, she avoided everyone, ignoring the calls from the press. She wasn’t in the mood to talk, let alone deal with interviews. She locked herself in her driver room, letting the anger simmer as she paced the small space. A knock came at the door.
"I'm not doing press today guys!" She shouted, her voice still edged with anger. There was a pause, and then a familiar voice replied. "It’s me." Her heart skipped a beat. It was Lando. Hesitant, she walked over and unlocked the door. He stepped inside, his expression soft, understanding. "Are you okay?" he asked quietly, closing the door behind him. Y/n huffed, her hands running through her hair. "I just… I can’t believe this. That penalty wasn’t fair, and now I have to deal with a fine on top of it." Lando watched her for a moment, then stepped closer. "I get it. I’ve been there before. But you need to calm down, or it’ll just eat at you."
Y/n turned to him, her frustration still evident, but his presence was oddly comforting. There was a silence between them as they stood close, neither knowing what to say next. The tension from the room seemed to shift, no longer about the race or the penalty. They gazed at each other, the air between them thick with something unspoken. Slowly, they leaned in, the distance between them closing. But just before their lips could meet, there was another knock at the door. Y/n jerked back, startled. "Interviews, Y/n. You need to go." Came the voice from the other side of the door. Her heart racing, Y/n glanced at Lando, her mind spinning. Without another word, she bolted for the door, leaving Lando behind.
As she rushed to the media area, her thoughts were a whirlwind. Was Lando in love with her? Did she feel the same way? She couldn’t stop replaying that almost-kiss in her mind. Meanwhile, Lando stayed back in her room, wondering the exact same thing.

──────────✿───────────
Then you turned your head, catching her lips for a brief moment before she pulled back. There was a moment of hesitation, neither of you able to speak before she pressed her lips to yours. They were still cold from being out in the snow, but they warmed as you kissed her back, pressing your body impossibly closer to hers as she sighed into your mouth. She couldn’t tell you how long she had wanted this, but she knew it was long enough that her waiting for you was pathetic.
──────────✿───────────
She walked you backward toward your room, the faint sound of her music and the memory of your apartment guiding her as she refused to break the desperate kiss between you. You knocked into an end table, and she put her hand out to stop you from hitting the wall as she pushed you against it. Her hips pressed into yours, your stomach fluttering as you held her face in your hands and tilted your head. You deepened the kiss and her hand drifted down to your back as her leg slid between yours. She pulled you forward, and your hips were pressed against hers, closer this time. The minute she heard the quietest of whines from you she guided you to your room and to your bed.
She knelt between your legs, hands running down your thighs and pulling your legs up as she lowered herself down. That was when she broke the kiss, looking between your thighs with heavy breaths. She looked back up at you, eyes searching for confirmation. You nodded and she couldn’t help the smile that came to her face.
Ellie sat back on her heels when you reached for her face, fingers coming up to touch her lips, now hot and swollen as she looked down at you, your hand resting, instead, on her waist. Her eyes drifted to your shirt, merch from when she was still a part of your team. Her hand traced the image of her guitar, right over the left side of your chest. She felt your heart rate quicken as you looked down at her hand.
“I want to think you did that on purpose,” she muttered.
You nodded, taking her hand and making her place it flat on your chest. “You say that like you don’t know how much I loved you.”
“Loved,” she repeated, huffing a laugh, but she didn’t question it. “I was in love with you. I didn’t even think you liked me.”
“I always said you were an idiot.”
She smiled, hands drifting to the hem of your shirt. You nodded when she looked up at you, that meaningful quiet settling again as she lifted it over your head. Her hands twitched as they brushed your bare skin, nothing under your shirt. She took in a slow breath, eyes falling to your bare breasts. She was reminded of times you flashed the audience, laughing nonsensically and jumping to the beat of your wild music, but this was nothing like that. This was raw, bare and beautiful, precious, and very, very private. There was no audience to fawn over you or encourage you. You were laid in front of her in a way where you were just a girl she was in love with, shying away from her eyes as she tossed your shirt to the floor.
As soon as she saw your hands coming up to shield your body from her she grabbed them. “No,” she muttered, leaning down to kiss your lips. “No, you’re beautiful.” She threaded your fingers together. “You’re so fucking beautiful.”
She kissed your cheek, then jaw. Her hands found their way to your waist as she kissed your neck, reveling in the moan you let slip when her tongue dragged across your skin. She lied on top of you, hips moving slowly against you as she sucked a dark hickey on the base of your neck, pecking feather-light kisses around it when you whimpered.
“Sorry,” she muttered, feeling your hips squirm with the way she nipped and sucked at your skin. “I’ve wanted to do that for so long.”
“Leave as many as you want,” you said, giving her permission that she happily took for granted.
She moaned as she left marks across your chest, kissing down and leaving a trail until she reached your breasts. Her tongue dragged over top of one, but not like she used to. She circled her tongue around your nipple, feeling you shudder and running her hands up and down your sides to soothe you. She brought a hand up to your other breast, massaging gently and using her thumb and pointer finger to twist your nipple. She felt you inhale, gasping and arching into her. She quickly snaked her hand under your back and held you in that position, pressed so close to her that she could feel you breathing against her.
She itched to get her clothes off, to feel your skin against hers, but she was too enthralled with the way you were reacting to her to stop. Her lips sucked your nipple into her mouth, teeth biting gently and making you groan.
The minute your hands went to her back, grasping the fabric of her hoodie, she sat up to pull it off, reluctantly detaching herself from you to do so. You reached up, feeling her toned body until your hands reached her breasts. You were gentle, fingers gliding over her pebbled nipples to make her sigh, hips twitching in anticipation.
“Sensitive?” You asked, cupping your hands around her and kneading much harsher than she did.
“Don’t tease me.”
“Oh, is that an order?” You laughed as her hands felt up your arms, resting on your hands and making you practically grope her. “You look so pretty guiding me,” you muttered. You didn't mean for it to come out sensually, only observing, but the way her cheeks flamed as she looked at you told you all you needed to know. “Okay…” You sat up. “I get it.” Your hand went to her back as you turned her over, straddling her as you lied her down. “I won’t tease you anymore. Promise.”
You moved off of her, fingers going to her sweatpants. You looked up at her. “Please,” was all she had to say to get you to take them off, sliding them down her legs with her underwear before she kicked them off haphazardly. “I need you,” she continued, hands reaching for your arm and pulling you down. She kissed you, needy. “However I can have you. Do whatever you want to me, I don’t care,” she was rambling between kisses, meeting your lips like she couldn’t bring herself to stop. “I just need you,” she repeated, even needier, whining.
“I know,” you muttered against her lips. “I know, Ellie, I’ve got you…” You soothed, pecking her lips. “I got you.” She lifted her head, following you as you pulled away, and you had to push her back as you trailed kisses down her body. You stopped at her stomach, watching her muscles tighten as she tried to control her breathing. She was getting so worked up, and you grabbing her hips as you started leaving marks all over her stomach didn’t help.
“Fuck,” she moaned, hips fighting against your grip and squirming. She shuddered when you licked a line from her pelvis to her belly button, eyes rolling back blissfully.
You lowered yourself to her cunt, lying flat on the bed and bringing one of her legs over your shoulder. “You’re so pretty,” you muttered, kissing her inner thigh. You left a mark, kissing around it as she sighed. “You can let go,” you told her, “let me make all this up to you… take care of you. I want to.” You knew she’d fall apart, and this time you’d be there to hold together all the pieces.
She nodded as your one hand held her thigh and the other rested on her abdomen.
You took that as your okay, licking up between her folds and feeling her hips buck against your tongue. Her muscles tensed, aching hole clenching around nothing as you pressed a kiss to her clit.
“Relax,” you told her, stroking her thigh. “I won’t do anything if you’re too tight.” She shut her eyes, breathing slowly and relaxing into the sheets. “There you go.” You gave her an encouraging kiss on the inside of her hip, making her hips jolt. You chuckled. “Whoops.” She rolled her eyes at you, scoffing as her hands went over top of yours.
You gave her one last kiss on her thigh before dipping your tongue inside her. You moaned at her taste, feeling her stomach tighten at the feeling your voice spread through her pussy. She fought not to moan, not wanting to be too loud, but you were licking up her wetness like it was water and you went all day without it. You pressed your face into her cunt, not even starting what you knew she needed and just indulging yourself in the sweet taste of her as you gripped her thigh and pulled her closer. You left her leg on your shoulder alone but pushed the other open so you could taste her even deeper.
Her mind was turning into a puddle of nothing at the way you lapped at her, her hands squeezing yours as she barely let strangled moans slip from her perfect lips. Her hips started to roll against you, involuntary, and you pulled back. “I know,” you muttered, “I know what you want, you just taste so good,” you said breathlessly, mouth covered in her wetness. “I don’t want to stop.”
“Don’t make me ask you for this,” she muttered, looking down at you and your dark eyes, drunk off of her.
“I won’t…” You reluctantly assured her. “Not this time.” She smiled. “You just gotta let yourself be a little louder for me, alright?” She nodded slowly. “How else will I know I’m making you feel good?” She swallowed, the way you said it making her throat dry with need. “And I should know. It’s only fair… Right?”
“Right,” she said without thinking.
You focused your attention on her clit then, using your thumb to pull back her hood and lick the exposed bundle of nerves. She arched away from you, an involuntarily loud moan coming from her that made you smile as you continued. She wasn’t able to silence herself now, your tongue pulling the prettiest sounds from her as you relentlessly, skillfully licked and massaged until she was melting into your hands. Sweat beaded on her skin as her hips squirmed, but you didn’t let up, even as she moaned your name and pushed at your hands.
She came quickly, whining as her hips bucked, twitching uncontrollably thanks to you, but that was what you wanted, finally stopping and making a harsh breath fall from her lips. It was followed by a moan as you delved your tongue back inside her, swallowing down her orgasm and moaning against her. She couldn’t help but moan at the vile way you got what you wanted, pulling it from her so quickly that she couldn’t even think straight. She was breathing heavily, a complete mess as you licked and sucked at her entrance until pearly white wetness pooled out of her cunt. She groaned, arching her hips toward you as you pressed your face into her and moaned, so satisfied that she couldn’t help but think of what a mess you were making of yourself.
You’d decided it was time for more before she could even get the chance to speak, sucking her clit into your mouth and making her groan as you shut your eyes in bliss. Your tongue did the same expert flicks as before, only this time she was even more of a mess. Cream dripped from her hole as it clenched, aching to be filled. She squeezed your hand to tell you what she wanted, but you batted her hand away. You already knew, and you weren’t giving it to her yet. She whined, moving her hand to grip your hair and making you moan against her as you opened your eyes to look up at her. The moment she met your eyes she was falling apart, but you didn’t stop.
You released her thigh, easily sliding two fingers inside her drooling pussy. You giggled, adding a third like it was nothing as you released her clit so you could watch the way she sucked your fingers in, stretching so easily that she probably didn’t even realize you put in three. You curled your fingers, moaning at the sound it made before your mouth went back to her clit, licking at the same pace you curled and uncurled your fingers. You pushed them deep inside her, past her g-spot and making tears collect in her eyes when you curled your fingers again. Her vision was spotted, and when you pressed down on her lower stomach she couldn’t help the string of moans that left her mouth, continuous and like a fucking song as she cried your name over and over like it was bringing her closer and closer to coming.
Her hips were writhing on your sheets but you didn’t hold her still as she lost her composure, not even able to speak with the way you were fingering her senseless. Her ears were ringing and no matter how much she gasped in air, you were stealing it from her with every swipe of your tongue. She was almost there, feeling that pressure in her belly, but it was different this time. You were giving her so much, overwhelming her so much that she couldn’t come until you pulled her fingers from inside her. She gasped a moan, nearly screaming as her hips jerked and the tension in her stomach snapped with her release.
Her orgasm squirted onto you, on your chest, in your mouth, all over your face, and you lapped it up like that was exactly what you wanted. It was exactly what you wanted, and as you cleaned her up she was still, groaning as her hips twitched weakly.
You pulled back, sticking your fingers in your mouth and cleaning off every last drop of her as you watched her try to catch her breath. You ran your hand over her stomach gently, soothing her and kissing her thigh as her breathing calmed.
“What the fuck,” she muttered after a moment, still breathless. “Fuck,” she sighed. “Fuck…” She was staring up at the ceiling. “I’m fucked…” You laughed at her, kissing her hip as you made your way up her body. “I’ll never stop thinking about that.” She grabbed you by the waist, telling you to, “Come here,” so she could kiss you. She kissed all over your face, neck, and chest, cleaning up her mess as you grinned. “You proud of yourself?” She laughed at you.
“Fuck yeah,” was your response. “You’re so hot.” You could tell she was tired, giving her one last peck before you pushed yourself up. “I’ll be right back,” you said, but she grabbed your arm.
“Where are you going?” She pouted up at you.
“Just to the bathroom. I’m gonna get stuff to clean up—“
“But…” Her eyes fell to your pajama pants, an old pair of hers she’d forgotten months ago. “Do you not want me to touch you?” You frowned. “You didn’t finish.”
“You’re tired.”
“Fucked out… Not tired.” She pulled you back on the bed. “Just sit on my face.” You shook your head. You had a feeling she’d give you even worse of a relentless treatment than you gave her. “Then ride me.” You looked between her legs. She was swollen, but she was wet, turned on just from looking at you. “I want you on top.” You could feel your body heating as she put her hands on your hips. When you nodded, she pulled your pants down with your underwear, watching as you tossed them aside and got back on the bed. You looked at her warily as you brought one knee between her legs, hands on her hips to position her. “I want this with you,” she said earnestly. “I want you.” Her eyes fell between your legs, seeing the wetness that trailed down your thighs.
Mannerless, she reached out, fingers running up your slit and collecting your wetness. Your hips jerked at the sudden touch, eyes glued to her hand as she brought it to her mouth. She moaned as soon as her fingers hit her tongue, licking you off of her as she eyed your cunt. “Are you sure you don’t want to sit on my face?” She asked tactlessly. You just stared at her, blinking dumbly. “Next time,” she muttered, but couldn’t keep her eyes off of you. “Fuck, are you sure?” She asked again.
“Next time,” you agreed and she looked so happy that you couldn’t help but smile, laughing before you looked back down at her pussy, yours hovering just above.
“Go on, I’ll help you,” she encouraged, hand on your hip. “I want to feel you.” She was getting needy for your pleasure now that her needs were fulfilled, dominance coming through her desperation as she eyed you hungrily. “Please, don’t make me wait,” but it wasn’t the same way she requested something from you before, she was demanding, but trying to sound as nice as possible.
You let out a breath as you lowered yourself down, adjusting her until you both felt pressure against your clit. You moaned, biting down on your lips and focusing between your thighs as you slowly rocked your hips. The feeling was so new, so foreign, and so good that your legs were shaking within minutes. You gripped her thigh, pulling it higher on your waist to get a better angle and she just let you handle her how you wanted.
“You look so fucking — ah — so fucking good,” she praised, hips jerking from overstimulation. She watched you as your mouth fell open, eyes focused on your bodies, pressed together. “You’re so fucking cute.” She was so focused on you, watching the concentration on your face to make sure you were feeling good, that you had to look up at her when you got frustrated. You felt like you weren’t doing it right, and she could tell. “Don’t look at me like that,” she muttered, voice cooing.
“Like… fuck,” you groaned when you lost the sensation, whining, “like what, Els?” Just that made her grab your waist, flipping you over. She pressed your legs open, using the one in front of her to put pressure into as she grinded against you. She spread her legs, sinking onto you as your hips bucked. “Oh! Fuck, Ellie!” You couldn’t control the way your body reacted to the sudden switch as she groaned, doing her best to ignore the feeling of overstimulation and pleasure you how you deserved.
“That feel good?” She was asking to make sure it did, not at all teasing you and smiling at the way you nodded and moaned. Still, you watched between your legs, propped up on your forearms to see. “Good. Keep watching what I’m doing. This is what you wanna do, yeah?” You nodded. “Ever done this before?” You shook your head. She was glad to be your first. “That’s okay. keep your eyes on me.” She could feel your cunt pooling, and she couldn’t wait to have you back on top, feeling your wetness soak her. “Uh-uh, eyes open. Don’t look away,” she told you when your head fell back, eyes fluttering shut, tapping your thigh to make you pick your head up. “Eyes on me. Watch how I’m fucking you.” Her hips rolled against yours, slow and teasing to make you look back at her.
“No, do what you were doing before,” you practically whined, hands on her hips to push her into grinding harder against you.
“There you go,” she sighed. “Take control, baby. I’m letting you.” You gripped her hips as you moaned at the way she spoke to you, making you fight not to just let her use you. She caught on, urging you to keep your composure until you gave her what she wanted, “Tell me how you want it.” She followed the way your hands guided her. “Show me,” she said when you muttered, “faster.” She felt your hips start to move, watching the way your face twisted in pleasure rather than focus. She was getting what she wanted now. “Think you can get back on top?” She asked, gentle, easing you in.
When you nodded, she asked if you were sure. “I want to,” you assured her, desperate. She held you close to turn you over this time, lying you down so gently that you kissed her cheek to reciprocate the softness she gave you.
You followed what you watched her do, pressing her legs open and sinking onto her, but you stayed close to her, moaning in her ear as she held you and kissed your neck and shoulder. She could feel your wetness dripping onto her, and it made her thoughts swarm. Her hips rose into yours and it was the perfect position. You moved your hips faster against her, sinking your teeth into her shoulder to muffle how loud you were getting. She just ran her hands all over you, soothing you as you chased your orgasm, and reveling in the feeling of your pussy on hers, covering her in your arousal. Her hips twitched and you held back, keeping yourself at the edge and driving her crazy with the way you whined.
“What are you doing, baby?” She asked softly, but her hands were rough, making your hips move faster.
You moved your arm down to press her closer into you, and she understood what you were trying to do. “Come with me,” you said in a breath against her neck.
She moaned, and you could feel her clit pulsing against yours as she started to grind, your voice sending chills down her spine. Once she got close, you let yourself finish, kissing all over her neck as you moaned senselessly and rode out your orgasm as she finished for a fourth time, legs falling limp on the bed as yours shook. You screwed your eyes shut to try and catch your breath and she took it as an opportunity.
She had the strength to pull you up until your pussy was over her face. She pushed you down, licking up your orgasm drunkenly and holding your waist as your hips twitched and rocked against her face. Her nose brushed your clit and you couldn’t stop yourself from continuing to rock against her, whimpering as she rubbed your thighs.
She didn’t mean to make you come again, and she wasn’t planning on it by doing this, but she wasn’t going to stop you, and she certainly wasn’t going to ruin your orgasm when she felt it getting closer and closer until she had you dripping down her chin and cheeks as she licked you clean. She had to hold you up when your legs shook, keeping you sitting up with her hands on your breasts, groping and kneading through the dizzying pleasure of her mouth on you.
She licked her lips as she moved you off of her face, grinning when she felt you kissing your orgasm off of her face, making sure to clean your mess thoroughly.
“What happened to next time?” You asked.
“You call that sitting on my face?” She chuckled. “I was just cleaning you up, it's not my fault you came all over me.” You shoved her shoulder as she laughed, clearly proud of herself.
“Whatever,” you muttered, going to stand and feeling your legs trembling. “Jesus,” you muttered.
“Don’t think he had anything to do with this—“
“Shut up.” You laughed. “You’re not funny.”
“Lie down,” she said. “We can clean up tomorrow… Shower together in the morning, maybe?”
You gladly lied down after getting a different comforter from your closet, putting that one in the dirty clothes as Ellie watched you. “You’re so pretty,” she muttered. “I can’t believe we never did this before.”
She reached for you when you laid the comforter out, and you gladly got beneath it with her. Her arms went around your bare waist, holding you as you stroked her hair. “Are you okay?” You asked, knowing she was more tired than she wanted to admit. “Can I at least get you water?”
“Better than okay.” You smiled. “I just want to lie with you…” She trailed, eyeing your lips before she met your eyes.
“Okay,” you muttered, still stroking her hair. She relaxed as you played with the strands, shutting her eyes. “I love you.”
She opened her eyes, frowning. “Tell me that when we haven’t just had sex—“
“I do,” you insisted. “So much.”
She smiled. It was quiet as you lied your head on her chest, looking out the window at the flurries of snow. You weren’t looking for reciprocation, you just wanted her to know.
“Tired?” She asked, dragging her fingertips up and down the line of your spine.
“I don’t want to go to sleep yet,” you muttered, hands holding her beneath her back, keeping her close.
“I’m not going anywhere,” she said, “go to sleep, pretty girl.”
She waited to say it back until you shut your eyes, quiet breaths leaving your lips as you slept soundly. She said it instead of saying goodnight, falling asleep to the sound of your breathing.
But when you woke up the next morning, she was gone. You had her hoodie and a pair of underwear on, but everything else — her clothes, the warmth of her body beneath you, even her scent on your pillow — was gone.
And her set of keys were left on your nightstand.

From Boyfriend to baby
Louis stirred in his sleep, completely unaware of what was happening around him. The soft glow of morning light seeped into the room, casting a warm glow over the bed. He was still deep in slumber, curled up on his side with his back facing the room. His girlfriend, Jenna, was already awake, sitting at the edge of the bed, watching him quietly.
A soft smirk played at the corner of Jenna's lips as her eyes trailed down his body, eventually landing on the unmistakable bulge of his diaper under the covers. The thick, padded outline peeked out just above the waistband of his gray pajama pants. She bit her lip, amused. Louis, her strong, independent boyfriend, had been wearing diapers to bed for a few weeks now—part of the "unpotty training" they had both decided to explore. He had been embarrassed at first, and even more so as the weeks went on, especially since he had started using them.
And this morning? The familiar sag of the diaper told her everything she needed to know.
With a quiet giggle, Jenna gently lifted the edge of the blanket, exposing more of his padded bottom. The diaper was swollen, the once pristine white now a subtle yellowish tint, sagging slightly from the weight of the wetness it had absorbed during the night.
Jenna pulled out her phone, her smirk widening into a full grin. Louis would be mortified if he knew what she was about to do, but she couldn’t resist. She angled the camera carefully, making sure to capture the full view of his diapered bum, nestled cozily against the bed.
*Snap.*
Tumblr media
The sound was quiet, but Jenna froze for a moment, checking if it had disturbed him. Louis shifted slightly, mumbling something in his sleep, but remained blissfully unaware. Jenna let out a small, relieved laugh. He really had no idea.
Satisfied with the photo, Jenna swiped through her phone until she found the group chat she shared with her closest girlfriends. They had all been curious about Louis’ unpotty training, asking for updates with more interest than Jenna had expected. Jenna had kept them in the loop—playfully, of course—about Louis’ growing dependence on his nighttime diapers. But today? Today was too perfect not to share.
Jenna quickly typed out a message:
*“Look who’s soaked this morning! My big boy is definitely not waking up dry anytime soon 😉”*
She attached the photo and hit send.
Within seconds, her phone buzzed with responses.
First, a message from her friend Rachel:
*“OMG, Jenna! He looks so cute and helpless! 😂 How does he even manage without you??”*
Next, from Claire:
*“Aww, is he still sleeping like that? What a baby! You better be careful or he’ll be in those full-time like my Tony 😜”*
The teasing messages kept coming, each one more playful than the last. Jenna couldn’t help but grin as she read them, her heart fluttering with excitement. She glanced back at Louis, who was still sound asleep, completely oblivious to what had just happened.
Jenna reached out and gently pressed her hand against the back of his soggy diaper, giving it a light squeeze. The padding squished under her fingers, confirming just how soaked he was. She smiled to herself, shaking her head. He had been so resistant at first—at least until a few nights ago, when his "accidents" had started happening. Now, it seemed like he was waking up wet nearly every morning.
"Poor baby," she whispered teasingly, knowing full well that he wouldn’t hear her.
Her phone buzzed again, this time with a message from Megan:
*“I can’t believe he actually lets you diaper him at night. You have him so wrapped around your finger. How long before he’s in those 24/7? 😏”*
Jenna chuckled, typing back:
*“Sooner than he thinks. He’s already halfway there!”*
As she sent the message, she couldn’t help but wonder if Megan was right. Louis had been getting more used to the diapers—reluctantly, of course—but she could tell that part of him had started to accept it, maybe even like the idea of being taken care of in such an intimate, vulnerable way. It was an unspoken thing between them, but Jenna could sense the shift.
Deciding she had teased him enough for now, Jenna gently pulled the blanket back over his body, letting it fall naturally into place. She leaned in and kissed his cheek softly, her lips brushing against the warm skin of his face.
“Morning, sleepyhead,” she whispered in his ear.
Louis stirred again, this time waking up with a soft grunt. He blinked a few times, his eyes adjusting to the light as he shifted in bed. He stretched, the thick diaper between his legs squishing loudly as he did. It took him a second, but as he moved, he felt the familiar bulk of the soggy padding and winced. He didn’t even have to check—he knew what had happened.
“Jenna…” he muttered, his voice still groggy with sleep. He hadn’t fully processed the situation yet, but he could feel the warmth of his wet diaper against his skin, and that was enough to make his cheeks flush with embarrassment.
Jenna smiled down at him, brushing his hair out of his face with gentle fingers. “Good morning, baby. Sleep well?”
Louis groaned, burying his face in the pillow. “I… yeah, but…” He trailed off, knowing exactly what she was going to say next.
“But you’re all soggy again, aren’t you?” she teased, running her hand over the blanket-covered bulge of his diaper.
Louis winced, avoiding her gaze. “Yeah…”
Jenna laughed softly, giving his padded bum a playful pat through the blanket. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. Mommy’s got you. Let’s get you changed into a fresh nappy for the day, okay?”
Louis sighed, nodding quietly. He knew he didn’t have much choice in the matter.  But as Jenna got up to grab the supplies from the changing table, he couldn’t shake the feeling of just how much control she had over him. And deep down, part of him didn’t mind it at all.
Helping Hands
Louis shifted uncomfortably in his seat as Jenna drove them to Claire and Tony’s house. He could feel the dampness of his soggy diaper pressing against his skin, making the soft padding heavier than usual. The bulk between his legs forced his thighs apart, and every bump in the road reminded him of just how soaked he was. He tried his best to sit still, but the squish of the diaper with each movement only heightened his embarrassment.
Jenna glanced over at him with a soft smile, reaching over to give his knee a reassuring pat. “You okay over there, baby?”
Louis blushed, nodding stiffly. “Y-yeah… just, um… it’s a little…” He trailed off, not wanting to admit out loud that his diaper was uncomfortably wet. He had been hoping Jenna would change him before they left, but she had told him it could wait until they arrived at Claire’s. Now, as they neared their destination, he regretted not pushing harder for that change.
“Don’t worry, sweetheart,” Jenna cooed, clearly picking up on his discomfort. “We’ll get you all sorted out when we get to Claire’s. And Tony’s really excited to see you today.”
Louis winced at the mention of Tony. While he and Tony had always gotten along, Tony had taken to his own regression with a lot more enthusiasm than Louis had. In fact, Tony loved his new toddler-like lifestyle. Every time they hung out, Tony would gush about how much he loved his diapers and how free he felt not having to worry about “big boy” things anymore. It wasn’t that Louis didn’t like certain parts of it too, but Tony’s over-the-top enthusiasm was a bit overwhelming.
They pulled into Claire and Tony’s driveway, and Louis felt his heart race as Jenna parked the car. She came around to his side, opening the door and helping him out. As he stood up, the familiar crinkle of his diaper echoed in the quiet air, a constant reminder of his new reality. Jenna took his hand, leading him to the front door.
Before they could even knock, the door flew open, revealing Tony standing there with a huge grin on his face. His shortalls, with the unmistakable bulge of his diaper underneath, made him look just as babyish as ever.
“Louis!” Tony exclaimed, bounding forward and pulling Louis into a tight hug. “I’m so glad you’re here, man! I heard you’re back in daytime diapers too!” Tony’s excitement was palpable, and Louis couldn’t help but feel both amused and slightly embarrassed by his friend’s enthusiasm.
Louis forced a small smile. “Yeah, I guess so…” he muttered, trying not to draw too much attention to the fact that he was already soggy.
Tony didn’t seem to notice his awkwardness. “This is awesome! You’re gonna love it. Claire’s been keeping me in diapers all day, and let me tell you, it’s the best. No more worrying about anything!” He gave Louis a playful nudge. “And I bet you’re super comfy, huh?”
Louis nodded hesitantly, shifting from foot to foot as his diaper squished beneath him. “Uh, yeah. Pretty comfy,” he replied, though the dampness had long since crossed into the territory of uncomfortable.
Jenna and Claire appeared in the doorway, both smiling as they watched the interaction unfold. “Look at the two of you,” Claire teased, her eyes sparkling. “Our two little boys, reunited at last.”
Jenna chuckled, giving Louis a light pat on his padded bottom. “Louis here could use a fresh diaper, though. He’s a bit soggy from the ride over.”
Tony’s eyes lit up at the mention of Louis needing a change. “Oh! Can I help? Please, Jenna? I’ve got some of my favorite diapers upstairs. They’re super soft, and I bet Louis will love them! I can show him how much better daytime diapers are!” He was practically bouncing with excitement at the thought.
Louis opened his mouth to protest, but Jenna beat him to it. “That sounds like a great idea, Tony,” she said with a grin, her hand resting on Louis’s shoulder to keep him from backing away. “Why don’t you take Louis upstairs and get him all set up in one of your favorite diapers? I’m sure he’ll appreciate the change.”
Louis’s eyes widened. “Jenna, I don’t—”
But before he could finish his sentence, Tony had grabbed his hand and was leading him toward the stairs. “Come on, buddy! This is gonna be great. You’re gonna love these diapers. Trust me!”
Louis shot Jenna a pleading look over his shoulder, but she just waved playfully and mouthed, “Have fun!”
As they reached Tony’s room, Louis noticed the shelves stacked with neatly folded diapers in various colors and patterns. Tony had clearly embraced his new lifestyle with gusto. Louis felt his stomach flip as Tony pulled out a particularly thick diaper decorated with playful babyish prints.
“This one’s my favorite,” Tony said proudly, holding it up. “Super comfy, and it holds a lot. Plus, the powder I use is great for unpotty training.” He winked at Louis, clearly excited to share his knowledge. “It makes it so much easier to just… let go, you know?”
Louis blinked, unsure of how to respond. Tony wasted no time. He grabbed a changing mat from the corner and spread it out on the floor. “Okay, buddy, let’s get you out of that soggy diaper and into something way better.”
Louis hesitated for a moment but eventually laid down on the mat, feeling the squish of his wet diaper beneath him. His cheeks burned as Tony expertly untaped the soggy diaper, tossing it into the nearby bin. He could hardly believe this was happening—being changed like this, as if they were two toddlers at a playdate.
Tumblr media
Tony grabbed a bottle of baby powder and, with a grin, began sprinkling a generous amount onto Louis’s bare skin. The cool powder felt refreshing, and the scent filled the room, reminding Louis just how far he had fallen into this new lifestyle.
“Gotta use plenty of this stuff,” Tony said, winking again. “Makes it easier for you to, uh, use your diapers during the day. Trust me, after a few days, you won’t even think about it anymore.”
Louis shifted uncomfortably as Tony continued the change, sliding the thick, crinkly diaper beneath him before fastening the tapes snugly. The new diaper was much thicker than the one he’d been wearing, and the bulk forced his legs apart even more. It felt strange—almost like he was being wrapped in a constant reminder of his new place.
“There we go!” Tony said with a grin, patting the front of Louis’s freshly powdered diaper. “All set. Doesn’t that feel better?”
Louis sat up, the diaper crinkling loudly with the movement. It was undeniably soft, and the thickness made him feel even more helpless than before. “Uh… yeah, thanks, Tony,” he said awkwardly, avoiding eye contact.
Tony beamed. “No problem, man! I’m just glad you’re getting into the groove. Trust me, you’ll love it once you get used to it.”
As they headed back downstairs, Louis could feel the bulk of his new diaper with every step, the thick padding pressing against his thighs. Jenna and Claire were sitting at the kitchen table, sipping coffee and chatting like two moms discussing their little ones.
“There’s our boys,” Claire said with a teasing smile. “All clean and fresh.”
Jenna grinned, standing up to give Louis a kiss on the cheek. “How’s the new diaper, sweetheart? Tony’s got good taste, doesn’t he?”
Louis nodded, feeling the heat rise in his cheeks. “It’s… fine,” he mumbled, unsure of how else to describe the overwhelming mixture of embarrassment and comfort he was feeling.
Tony clapped him on the back. “Told you it’d be great! Now we can both enjoy the day without worrying about the potty. Isn’t that right?”
Louis could only nod, his cheeks burning as the two women shared a knowing glance. As the day stretched on, Louis realized just how much his life had changed—and that, whether he liked it or not, he wasn’t just Jenna’s boyfriend anymore. He was her baby boy, and he had a feeling there was no going back.

PAY THE PRICE — 36. an overwhelming realisation
Tumblr media
(wc: 2.601 but its worth it TRUST ME..)
it was only around 17:30 when karina, minjeong and you had finally made it back to your apartment complex. even though you initially didn’t plan on purchasing anything, you had returned back bags full of clothing and whatnot as the two had decided to shower you with birthday gifts. of course you had protested, they just didn’t care.
“my legs feel so sore.” you humoured in slight pain, leaning against the the wall of the elevator. “at least we had fun, right?” and minjeong was right. you responded back with a small smile and nod, changing your view to karina who was stuck on her phone. “who are you texting?” you questioned. karina hummed in response, looking up before pushing her phone into her pocket. “no one.” she casually answered back.
with sudden movement, karina had reached forward and tugged the shopping bags out your hands, leaving you barely any time to register it. “i’ll bring these to your room, minjeong has a present for you in her room so you should get off on the third floor with her.” karina suggested, reaching back to grab your purse too. the elevator’s door had opened, leaving you not much choice as karina urged the two of you out before pressing the close button.
you watched the lift go up to the fourth floor and turned to minjeong with a dumbfounded stare. “what was that about?” you mused with a slight laugh. minjeong smiled back at you, nodding her head down the corridor of the third floor. “lets go.” you wondered what both their issues were as minjeong was already walking ahead of you without any other words following.
instead of words, it was you that was following her and you couldn’t help but think there was something off about the silence minjeong remained in. you two reached her door and she turned back to look at you. “i forgot my keys at jaemin’s place, can you get them for me?” she requested with a slight plea, already holding you by the shoulders and pushing you towards jaemin’s door.
again, you were left with no other choice but to comply. jaemin’s room was right next to hers anyways, and you questioned why in the world she couldn’t get it herself. you knocked on his door, and the sound of muffled voices infiltrated your hearing before it went quiet. ‘come in’ was all you heard after, the voice being nothing like jaemin’s distinguishing one. you hesitated, but eventually opened the door to enter jaemin’s dimly lit apartment.
it took you by surprise, the way the dark room had lit up and a chorus of cheers erupted as you entered. your eyes scanned the whole room that had been filled by your 3rd and 4th floor neighbours, all carrying a variant of party decorations. you were even more surprised to see mark and rei, both of them pulling you into the room. “happy birthday (—)!” rei cheered, dragging you to the middle of jaemin’s living room.
at a loss for words, you just gaped at your surroundings, a warmth swelling in your chest. “this wasn’t needed.” you shied away, too embarrassed by all the sudden attention on you. mark, who had found a spot right next to you, threw his arm around your shoulder. “of course this is needed, i’m glad jaemin didn’t listen to your words.” you hadn’t even noticed him slyly slipping a party hat on your head, because something else caught your attention.
“jaemin? this was his idea?” majority confirmed your question, and mark added that ‘both jaemin and karina planned this, they really put effort into it.’ and the surge of emotions you felt as you saw jaemin exit his kitchen with a cake in his grip were enough to almost bring you to tears. he had placed the cake down on the coffee table, carrying a small grin on his face as well as a party hat of his own. his eyes locked with yours a few seconds later.
“(—)! i know you said that you didn’t wanna do anything for your birthday, but i thought it would be nice to spend your first birthday in this apartment with everyone else.. i even invited mark and rei!” jaemin rambled. “i hope you don’t mind.. i also didn’t have time to bake the cake myself so i hope you don’t mind cake from the-”
jaemin almost toppled over from the force you attacked him with. you hugged him with the biggest smile you’ve ever had, almost choking him in the process. “this is so sweet of you jaemin, both you and karina are the best.” you took a step back, placing a hand over your stupidly huge smile. feeling the arms of someone else around your shoulder, you were met with karina who planted a chaste kiss on your cheek. “happy birthday (—), i hope you’re happy today.” it was rare that you’d see karina smile so big, but the smile on her face as she squished you into her for a hug was something you wish you’d see more often.
it was enough to finally bring you tears.
you could hear both mark and who you assumed to be jungwoo, laughing. “no way you’re actually crying.” mark asked in disbelief, though the comforting feeling of his hand rubbing up and down your back showed that it was nothing more than a friendly tease. you really couldn’t help it, and as you pulled away from karina with your eyes filled with tears, you wondered what you had done to gain such friends who’d go out of their way to plan a surprise party for you.
“you’re going to make me cry too.” rei sulked, an endearing smile on her face as she hugged you from the side. jaemin agreed, and if you looked closer, you could see the way his eyes had threatened to gloss a little. he had walked over to you, wrapping his arm around you. “i’m glad you like it, once again happy birthday! and i’m sorry for all the trouble i’ve caused you but i’m glad you’re still sticking with me despite all that.” jaemin also wore an endearing smile on his face.
“this is getting sappy.” jisung cringed from across the room. haewon pushed him aside in return, kissing her teeth at his remark. “let them have their little sentimental moment before we celebrate her birthday.” she muttered warningly. “happy birthday (—)!” isa exclaimed, and a chain reaction of birthday wishes from the rest soon followed after.
“lets cut the cake now.” mark announced right after, already reaching down to the coffee table. jaemin had left your side and rushed to the kitchen to get the utensils as well as paper boards. it gave you time to take a look at the room, it was decorated nicely and everyone was seemingly enjoying their time as they conversed over the soft music playing in the background.
it was too perfect to be to true, though something felt missing. someone was definitely missing.
“we invited him but he said he had other plans, don’t think too much about it.” as if she could read your mind, rei who was still beside you reassured you with a rub to your shoulder. your head turned to her, surprised that she could tell that you were specifically looking for him. you nodded in acceptance. she was right, after all, today was about you, donghyuck shouldn’t be a thought when you were surrounded by all the people you loved.
but it wasn’t that easy, and every now and then, your mind would wander to donghyuck’s whereabouts, as well as his words. he said he would remember your birthday, and all you could wonder for the remainder of the night was how much truth those words really held.
“so i just knock on her door and give her this and the letter?” jaehyun repeated in confirmation, and donghyuck nodded. “just wish her a happy birthday. you can improvise the rest.” donghyuck instructed while he stood in front of jaehyun, grabbing onto his hand before sliding an envelope into it. “tell her to not read it until you’re gone.”
“and do you want me to tell her this is your doing?” jaehyun asked as he started to step towards the door. donghyuck thought about it for a while, before shrugging. “only if she asks.” the response made jaehyun laugh, who’s hand was now on the door handle. “she’s not gonna believe her eyes.” donghyuck claimed with a grin, checking the time on his phone. “i think she came back upstairs like twenty minutes ago, you can go now.” haechan walked over towards jaehyun before patting him on the back. it was their last interaction before jaehyun exited the door and turned to stand right in front of yours.
in those twenty minutes in your room, you had time to come down from the high you were on. you had checked your phone to see if donghyuck had texted you anything, the time already nearing 11 pm, but there was nothing, and you’re not sure if you expected it or are disappointed because you didn’t.
a knock on your door was what broke your train of thoughts, and your first thought was that it must be one of your neighbours. your second thought was unfortunately donghyuck, and it was probably that assumption that made you rush to your front door, heart beating in what you sadly can only assume was excitement.
it wasn’t donghyuck, though you wished it was him even more now. you could feel your stomach drop as you stood face to face with none other than jaehyun himself, the guy carrying a soft smile which displayed his dimples. your heart went from not beating at all, to beating erratically, your breath being anything but regular. were you perhaps dreaming? “you’re (—) right?”
so you were not dreaming. the realisation caused panic to form in your body, your eyes widened in the process. “you’re kidding me..” you muttered. jaehyun found it quite humorous and chuckled at your state. “i heard a lot of nice things about you from mark. its nice to finally meet you.” jaehyun’s words caused your breath to hitch. there was no way jaehyun was right in front of you.
“i’m dreaming right?” you whispered in disbelief which made jaehyun smile. “haechan guessed that you’d say something like that. since it’s your birthday, i’m here with a signed EP, as well as a special envelope that you can only open once you’re inside. i hope you enjoyed your birthday and i hope mark or haechan bring you with them to my next concert, you seem like a sweet person. it was nice meeting you (—).”
it was truly too much to comprehend. you knew that the possibility of meeting jaehyun wasn’t slim due to your connection with both mark and donghyuck, but with their persistent refusals, it was merely a wish, not something you actually expected to become reality. and as jaehyun’s words sunk in, the mention of donghyuck’s name finally caught onto your ears, a subconscious smile forming in your face from it.
“thank you so much.. seriously.” you sheepishly thanked him and jaehyun nodded, taking a step back before his hand motioned into a small wave. “its nothing, i hope you enjoy the rest of your night, happy birthday.” jaehyun bid his farewells before he turned around, leaving you inside your apartment, still not grasping the unreal experience.
you closed the door to your apartment and looked down and the items in your hands. you placed the EP carefully down before opening the envelope. the whole day was full of surprises and you were once again filled with surprise as you pulled out a small paper sheet, containing a hand written letter. the hand writing reminded you of a familiar one that you had seen before. your eyes raked over the words that donghyuck had written to you, a stupid grin stuck on your face as you did so. you weren’t even aware of how hot your body had started to feel, or how your stomach had started to tingle at the stupid words he wrote.
your feet carried you on its own and you exited your apartment with urgent steps. your hand had reached up to knock on donghyuck’s door, and as if he could sense your presence, it had opened after the second knock.
you remember the first time you met donghyuck. he wore a simple white shirt and black shorts as well as his black framed glasses, sporting copper brown hair as he opened the door for you. you remember the resentment you felt when despite his good looks, he was an asshole to you at that time.
now, stood in front of you with the same identical attire he wore that night, you felt nothing but butterflies growing in your stomach as donghyuck looked at you with a smile you could only describe as fondness. “happy birthday sweetheart, did you like my present?” you couldn’t even be annoyed at the teasing tone in his voice, or the use of that nickname you had started to grow fond of.
all you could do was lean forward and wrap your arms around him without any warning. donghyuck stumbled back, taken aback by the sudden affection but quickly reciprocated by wrapping his own arms around your waist, pulling you flush against him. and if your heart wasn’t beating like crazy itself, you’d be able to feel the way donghyuck’s heartbeat matched yours perfectly.
“what’s this about?” donghyuck chuckled, remaining his hold on you. you removed yourself from the crook of his neck and took a step back, though donghyuck’s arms remained around your waist to keep you close. you had to physically hold your smile back, not wanting to go overboard. “thank you… that was really nice of you.” you whispered, too scared that your emotions would be overwhelming if you spoke any louder.
donghyuck shrugged, looking at you in amusement. “its nothing. you said you wanted to meet him so here we are.” it felt like the more he spoke, the more your body tingled and heated up. you didn’t even know how to respond back to what he said, which allowed him to continue his words. “now that you met him, does that mean you’ll finally get over this crush you have on him?”
his words were meant to be a joke, simply referencing your previous conversation. but as you continued to stare at him, taking in just how… beautiful he looked up close like this as well as the way your heart wouldn’t stop beating, there was already an answer going through your head.
you think you already have.
your brain wasn’t in the right place, and your body moved before your thoughts did. you leaned closer to him and without much thought, placed your lips on donghyuck’s. it was nothing more than a peck because your mind had registered what you had done. you’re not quite sure why you did it, maybe it was because of the overwhelming excitement you felt, or the gratitude you had, or maybe it was the fact that he had been eyeing your lips for the past five seconds leading up to that.
your excuses didn’t matter, because just as you pulled away, donghyuck pulled you right back in himself, kissing you in the halls of the 4th floor with his hand on your jaw, so soft and delicate that you thought you were dreaming.
you had definitely gotten over jaehyun.

loss of my life
alexia putellas x reader
Tumblr media
Alexia never brings you up during her weekly lunches with Mapi. Today is different.
loml series
; angst
It’s a harmless question that Alexia knows the answer to. She doesn’t even know what prompts her mouth to ask that question, but she feels like dying inside with every thought of you, so she doesn’t see the harm in doing so.
“y/n?” Mapi asks back. “Well, you know… She’s good, I guess.”
Alexia rolls her eyes at Mapi’s attempt to be vague. “I’m not going to break.”
Mapi looks up at her, her eyes softening. “I know,” she stays quiet for a moment. “Do you really want to know?”
Alexia looks hesitant, but she nods.
“She’s happy,” Mapi states, looking anywhere but her best friend. “She’s seeing someone. Leah. Lucy introduced them.”
Alexia averts her gaze down to her food. She knows this, she sees Leah’s face every time she opens your Instagram–a habit that she should stop doing if she wants to stop the aching in her heart.
“Ale…” Mapi sighs, placing her hand on top of Alexia’s.
“I’m fine, Mapi,” Alexia tries to act flippant about it, but she has never been good at hiding her emotions. “I’m glad that she’s happy again.”
Mapi purses her lips, looking like she’s about to say something. After a few seconds she does, “She asked about you too, you know.”
“Really?” Alexia hates how her tone sounds, as if she’s been waiting for that to happen.
“In passing once, when we were having dinner at her place,” Mapi takes a deep breath. “Just, how you were and stuff.”
Alexia nods. That’s better than nothing. That means you still remember her somehow.
As if Mapi can read her mind, she says, “She’s not going to forget you, Ale.”
“I wasn’t thinking about that.”
“But I know you.” Mapi places her utensils down, wiping her mouth with her napkin. “By the way, this food is so good. We should come here more often. I know Ingrid would love it.”
“I miss her,” when Mapi gives her a look, she corrects herself. “Ingrid. I was talking about Ingrid.”
Mapi looks at Alexia like she doesn’t believe her, but she says nothing. “She misses you too. She’s sorry she couldn’t make it to lunch, she’s been really busy these days.”
“You two are okay… right?” Alexia knows the answer to this too, but she just needs the confirmation.
“We are,” Mapi says, her eyes instantly lighting up. “We’re set to move to the new place next month. You’re coming to the house-warming party right?”
Alexia knows that if she does, she’ll see you. She doesn’t know if she’s ready to see you again, especially now that you have someone new. Seeing her ex-fiancé with her new girlfriend on a phone screen is one thing, seeing it in front of her own eyes is another. Alexia knows Leah is visiting. It was all Keira had been talking about.
Mapi, sensing Alexia’s reluctance, gives her a small smile. “You don’t have to... How about, Ingrid and I will text you when they leave, and you can come then?”
With the amount of gatherings Alexia has missed, she starts to feel bad. She knows her situation with you is placing their mutual friends in an uncomfortable position. So she swallows her heartbreak once more and smiles at her best friend. “Don’t be silly, of course I’ll be there.”
“If you’re sure. We can always have our own after-party.”
Alexia shakes her head. “I’ll be fine. Besides, I think I need to see the rest, they’ve been bugging to meet me.”
Mapi laughs. “Jana won’t shut up about how you only accept to go for lunch with Ingrid and I.”
“Yeah,” Alexia grimaces. “It’s hard when all of my friends are her friends too. Every time I see them, I just get reminded of her. I need the break. Besides, I’ll see you all when training starts again, so…”
“Do Ingrid and I not remind you of her?” Mapi looks genuinely curious.
“That’s different,” Alexia shrugs. “I’ve known you since forever, you’re my best friend. And Ingrid is Ingrid. I can’t just not see you. Even if you do remind me of her, I just have to suck it up.”
“Fair point.”
“What did you mean earlier, by the way?”
Mapi looks at her questioningly, “What about?”
Alexia stays silent, staring intently at her food. When Mapi is about to ask her one more time, she speaks up, “About her not forgetting me.”
“Oh, you know,” Mapi takes a sip of her drink. “When you two were together, you were always worried that she would forget you, which I still don’t know where that came from. She was crazy about you.”
“I don’t know either.”
That’s a lie. Alexia knows perfectly why she acted the way she did, but she’s never going to tell anyone about it. She knows that you deserve better than her, that she can never give the love that you wanted, and even though she still loves you, she wasn’t going to let you stay unhappy with her. Alexia knows that she wasn’t meant for you, she just needs to start accepting it so she can move on.
When Mapi doesn’t reply, Alexia speaks again, “It’s pathetic isn’t it?”
“What is?”
“Me.”
Mapi stares at Alexia in disbelief. “Don’t say that.” “It’s true,” Alexia shrugs. “It’s been a year. She moved on, while I’m still stuck here.”
“People heal at their own time.”
Alexia takes a deep breath. “Maybe I’m not meant to heal. I only gave her pain when we were together, maybe this is my punishment.”
“Stop beating yourself down, Alexia.” Mapi looks sad, and Alexia curses herself for always putting the mood down.
“I can’t help it, I’m sorry.” Alexia tries her best to give Mapi a genuine smile. “I’ll get better. For all of you.”
Mapi leans forward, taking Alexia’s hand in hers. “I want you to get better for yourself.”
Alexia knows that, but she still can’t help but feel that she doesn’t deserve to get better.
“I kissed someone else,” Alexia reminds Mapi. “When my fiancé was waiting for me at home.”
Mapi squeezes her hand even further. “I know you have your reasons. Not that I condone cheating,” Mapi grimaces. “It’s just… You loved y/n so much, you wouldn’t do anything to ruin your relationship. Something must’ve happened.”
“I don’t know, I can’t seem to remember my excuse anymore.”
Mapi shrugs. “Well, that’s in the past. Like you said, y/n has moved on. It’s fine if you start doing the same, Ale.”
“I’ll think about it.”
Mapi grins at her. “That’s better than nothing.”
Alexia smiles back at her. “Let’s go. You told Ingrid you’re on your way thirty minutes ago, she’s going to wonder where you are.”
And when Mapi laughs, Alexia can’t help but laugh back. “She can wait. I only get to see you once a week, I see her everyday.”
“You’re lucky,” Alexia gives a wistful smile. “Spending the rest of your days with the one you love.”
“You’ll find someone again, Ale.”
Alexia knows her answer, “probably not,” and she’s about to say that when she sees the hopeful look on Mapi’s face. So she puts on her best happy face and answers, “Sure.”
