TFW you're two weeks removed from leaving your entire life behind and moving to Night City but you're restless and anxious and can't sleep so you sneak out in the dead of night and do something reckless and the only person you know who can fix you up is that old doctor guy your new friend took you to see in a basement last week for back alley chrome and fighting tips.

★ — Leaving them hickeys
With: Viktor, Jayce, Mel, Vi, Caitlyn, Ambessa, Silco, Vander and Sevika
CW: suggestive, hickeys, s1
English isn't my native language / Reverse Ver.!
— VIKTOR
He is a mix of bashful and pleased. When you kiss and nip at his neck, he goes still, cheeks flushed as a soft, breathy chuckle escapes.
"You...really like marking me, don't you?" He tries to act unfazed, but when he looks in a mirror later and spots the darkening bruise, his fingers ghost over it.
He'd cover it with a scarf or high collar in public but secretly loves that you left your mark. It's a rare indulgence that makes him feel wanted.
— JAYCE
He leans into it and lets you do whatever you want, practically purring under your touch.
"You just can't keep your hands off me, huh?" He smirks, wrapping an arm around your waist as you kiss him.
He flaunts the marks with pride. If someone notices, he grins wider. "Oh, that? Yeah, my partner's got good aim."
— MEL
She doesn't stop you; she tilts her head to give you better access, enjoying the sensation as your lips press against her golden skin.
"Careful, darling," she murmurs, her voice smooth as silk. "You'll leave evidence of your affection."
She wears her hickeys like jewelry, unbothered by anyone's reactions, because who would dare question her?
— VI
She pretends to complain. She'll huff as your teeth scrape her skin, but she's grinning the whole time.
"Really? You're leaving me looking like I lost a fight?" She teases but tilts her head anyway.
She wears the marks like trophies. "Yeah, my partner did that. What about it?" If someone stares too long, they might catch her smirking.
— CAITLYN
She gets flustered. She tries to keep her composure as you kiss along her neck, but her blush gives her away.
"Are you... trying to make this harder to hide?" She scolds, though her voice is shaky.
Later, she's wearing a high collar. When Vi notices and teases her, Caitlyn glares but secretly feels proud.
— AMBESSA
She chuckles lowly, utterly amused by your boldness. She lets you have your way, resting a heavy hand on your back.
"Is this your way of staking a claim?" she asks with a smirk, tilting her neck for better access.
She wears the marks unapologetically, daring anyone to comment. She admires your daring streak and rewards you for it later.
— SILCO
His sharp intake of breath is the only indication you've caught him off guard. He doesn't stop you, but his hand tightens on your hip.
"Bold," he mutters, his gravelly voice filled with amusement. "Do you think this will deter anyone?"
He hides the marks beneath his collar but touches them absently, conflicted between annoyance and smug satisfaction.
— VANDER
He laughs softly, a warm rumble from deep in his chest as you leave your mark on him.
"You're enjoying this a little too much," he teases, cupping your face to kiss you.
He's not embarrassed about the marks and won't bother covering them. If someone comments, he just grins. "What can I say? My partner's passionate."
— SEVIKA
She smirks, tugging you closer as your lips graze her neck.
"Careful, sweetheart," she growls softly. "I might start thinking you're obsessed with me."
She doesn't cover the marks, wearing them like a badge of honor. If anyone so much as raises an eyebrow, she gives them a warning glare.

little random but i really appreciate your dissections and analysis of Mel mainly bc the fandom either adore her and won't admit she is a flawed character and get over defensive when you call her out, or straight up hate her and make her out to be completely evil.
Mel is written as morally grey for a reason and when ppl try to act like she was morally correct in everything she did, it goes against the whole plot. yes, she regrets most of her actions by the end of the series and is left to deal with her family's leagacy and the weight of her actions, but that doesn't undo anything she did. and her eventually starting to care about Jayce doesn't just cancel out that she manipulated him (you'd think this would be obvious)
what bothers me the most i think is meljay shippers who say Jayce mistreated her and that Mel only ever helped and care about him and aided him in rising to power politically, and how she was so understanding of Jayce's and Viktor's friendship. yes, encouraging methods of political corruption in order to gain more power is so caring and kind of her! ❤️
Mel might've told Jayce to go spend time with Viktor after finding out he was ill, but the one time in the show she interacted with Viktor was... prejudiced to say the least. she never directly spoke to or answered Viktor, and the expression on her face any time she looked over at Viktor was so clearly full of dislike. it shocks me ppl still believe Mel and Viktor could get along and respect one another, especially romantically. no way.
anyways, sorry for the rant. just tired of how many bad takes there are in this fandom and very fond of your account lol
you are right and you SHOULD say it re: that oft repeated argument about her "only wanting what's best for him" bothers me so much. Its just... weirdly patronizing and spousing pro-piltover nationalism every time i see it being brought up. "She's doing what anyone would do/what is best for the city!" IDK MAN I AM NOT ROCKING WITH THAT. Im not an ubercapitalist. I don't think any of that was the good option actually lol. Probably I hate piltover too much to humor these arguments but from day 1 we are shown this is a city of immense class inequality in which the elite few holds all the power and all the profit gains at the cost of everyone else's submission and humanity. (Not for nothing: these are also the classic old guard Noxian tenets of supremacy. That's how they do colonization.)
The interactions Mel has with Jayce for majority of the series, before she watches that bomb come in and has her rapid onset change of heart, are her talking about how investors want his work and how she can use his discovery to advance this city (which is already built on exploitation!) or instigating his rise to power as a new ringleader for the council's rigged mercantile operations, and this is just not good or heroic in any way to me. This isn't love either, it's industrial convenience. The fact that she's conflicted by the end doesn't cancel these actions out! Jayce realizes that he's been used in ways he strongly disagrees with and any the affection in that dynamic vanishes instantly. The time he spends in isolation replaying his mistakes in that cave has an emphasis on mel/heimerdinger's voice on the council too, all of his regrets with blindly following someone else's vision or disappointing an idol he held in high regards.
And Jayce DOES care about the state of the cities, or he did before the writers forgot: He's the one who pleads for Zaun's independence at the end of season 1! He's the one who spent all his life trying to work towards improving the lives of common people, giving them the miracles they've been denied!
Viktor is a fucking nobody. He is extremely worthless in the eyes of the piltovan upper crust, only kept around on the merits working with Jayce have afforded him; and they still don't care. They're probably hoping he dies quicker. We *SEE* him being singled out and alienated during that weapons discussion where Mel is pleading for Jayce to think about "protecting his people" (only piltovans, never, ever zaunites- protecting piltovans against the zaunite menace.) and Viktor is set off at that whole exchange because it doesn't matter how loud he screams, these people can just tune him off and pretend he doesn't exist anyway. It's what they're used to doing. It drives me insane!!!!! His indignation is extremely under-explored and very inline with his act1 speech of feeling like an undesirable presence in piltover and having to push through with the grit of his teeth. It's open faced classism and I still see people pretending it didn't happen. Fandom makes all of these characters FAR less interesting by defanging them. The heart is in the friction and in the ugliness of them fucking up because they have very, very different conceptions of "utopia" - and some of those utopias require the death of the other characters present.
A lot of the Arcane character arcs have to do with realizing the above, and weighing if the sacrifice is worth the risk. Sometimes it turns out their utopias were shit.

summary: Jayce goes to a party with Caitlyn and gets more than he bargained for when he meets a handsome stranger in the basement.
originally posted by vktrjyce
Jayce followed Caitlyn into the overflowing house, wincing at the music pounding against his skull. Three different people bumped into him in the foyer alone, the third spilling an obscene amount of beer on his shoes. He grimaced, waved away the guy’s half-assed apology, and attempted to adjust to the stickiness. It felt a little like he’d surpassed his age of enjoying parties like this. Or maybe he simply needed to be with the right crowd.
This did not feel like his crowd.
“Cait!” He shouted over the music, grabbing his companion’s arm. She turned to him with a raised eyebrow, “This is really how you want to spend your Friday night?”
She pressed her lips into a thin line and leaned towards him, “Vi invited me! I couldn’t exactly say no.”
He overdramatically rolled his eyes, a knowing smile on his face, “So your girlfriend’s the partying type?”
Caitlyn’s own eyes widened, her cheeks going slightly pink, “She’s not my girlfriend! Yet…” She shook her head, dark blue strands swaying back and forth, “And her sister threw this party. She’s just along for the ride.”
“Mmhmm.” Jayce scanned the crowd, looking for a head of hot-pink hair he’d only heard about in stories, “So, where is she?”
“I don’t know. I can’t see her from he-”
“Cupcake!” A muscled arm landed on Caitlyn’s shoulders, simultaneously knocking her into Jayce’s side. The owner of said arm had the exact hair he’d been on the lookout for. Also, the ‘Vi’ tattooed on her face was sort of a dead giveaway, “I was beginning to think you weren’t coming.”
Caitlyn looked over at Vi, a pleasant smile sliding across her face. She leaned into the woman, “What, and leave you to your own devices? I can only imagine the chaos that would ensue.”
“You think so low of me. I’m hurt.” Vi teased, before her eyes landed on Jayce, “Who’s this?”
Caitlyn answered before he had a chance to, “This is Jayce Talis. I’ve told you about him.”
Jayce, in turn, offered a polite smile and a small wave.
“So, this is the brainiac?” Vi gave him a once-over, pursing her lips, “Quite the pretty boy, isn’t he?”
He choked out a slightly embarrassed chuckle, resisting the urge to rub at the back of his neck. His Mother always scolded him for having such an obvious nervous tick.
“Don’t say that, it’ll go right to his head.” Cait retorted, giving her friend a knowing look, “And it’s big enough already.”
The man barked out a laugh, “There’s better ways to show off than making fun of me, you know.”
Once again, her eyes widened, “I wasn’t-”
“Aww, are you trying to seduce me with your stuck-upness?” Vi cooed, pinching Caitlyn’s cheek. Though she scrunched up her nose, she didn’t pull away from the touch, “If you are, it’s working.”
“You’re an idiot.” She deadpanned, and then looked back at Jayce, “You both are.”
“I guess you attract them.” He winked at her.
“I like this guy. He’s not all prude and stiff like most of the people you introduce me to.” Vi commented, grinning, “We could have some fun together, pretty boy.”
“The feeling’s mutual, Vi.”
“I don’t know, the thought of you two together doesn’t sit well with me.” Caitlyn piped up, “And I absolutely do not want to be demoted to third-wheel.”
“I don’t think you’ll need to worry about that.” Jayce gave her a knowing look, sending her gaze to the floor. So he turned it on Vi. She smirked in response.
“You guys want a drink? The kitchen’s stocked with all kinds of stuff.” She offered, pulling Caitlyn closer to her.
“I wouldn’t mind a drink.” His friend responded. She looked at Jayce with a warning on her face. He was no longer welcome in the group.
He heard her loud and clear.
“You guys go ahead, I’m gonna go mingle for a bit.” He told them, taking a step back, “We’ll meet back up later.”
Caitlyn’s look turned grateful, eyes sparkling in the strobe lights. Vi nodded at his declaration.
“Alright, see you later, then.” She bid him adieu, turning Caitlyn (presumably) towards the kitchen.
As they walked away, he heard his friend ask, “Where’s Jinx?”
“Somewhere causing problems, probably. I think she was trying to make fireworks or something.” Vi’s response came, and then they were out of earshot. And Jayce was all alone.
He shifted his weight, patted his hands against his pants, and then decided he should do something. Something other than standing in the middle of this room. Watching the party go on without him. Like a loser.
He sucked in a deep breath and moved further into the house.
People were dancing, mingling, playing games, and making out on practically every available surface. He could only imagine what others were getting up to in the non-public spaces. He’d had his own fair share of trysts in his younger days. Now, though, he much preferred a quiet night in or hyperfocusing on a new project. Cait always teased him for ‘turning into an old man.’
Maybe she had a point. Just a little bit.
It took Jayce a 10-minute conversation with Salo and another 15 minutes of standing against a wall before the noise and the lights became too much. He was uncomfortable, on his way to overstimulated, and in desperate need of a small respite. So he went looking for one.
All the bedrooms were… occupied. The bathroom, when not occupied, was more of a cesspool of untoward activity than a sanctuary. The backyard was just as loud as anywhere else. All that left him with was the closed basement door. Which had an eccentric, bright pink ‘Stay Out!!!’ spray-painted on it.
He did feel bad about ignoring the warning, but desperate times called for desperate measures.
Jayce opened the door, stepped inside, and shut it behind him. The immediate quiet, even with the muffled music through the wall, sent relief through his body. He sighed and walked down the stairs. About halfway down, a familiar skunk-like smell wafted its way up to him. But since he’d already committed, he simply wrinkled his nose and kept going.
He stepped off the final stair, turned the corner, and took a look around the room.
It was a typical basement- a couple of couches, a TV, a coffee table, and various movie and show posters on the walls. The lights were off, save for a warm-colored lamp on the table. None of it was out of the ordinary. Nothing particularly caught his eye.
What did gain his attention, though, was the man on the couch.
Pale and lanky, long brown hair with strands of blonde pulled into a low bun, clad in a burgundy cardigan and black sweats with a leg brace on the right knee. Only his side profile was visible from here, showing off a long nose and sharp cheekbones. A beauty mark sat above his thin, pink lips, which were currently wrapped around a half-smoked joint. His long lashes fluttered closed as he inhaled, pulled the joint from his mouth, and laid his head back against the couch. One long finger tapped against it.
Jayce was, for one moment, very taken aback. If this guy was a girl, he’d be stunning.
“Uh-” He grunted out, like an idiot.
The man’s eye opened, iris sliding in his direction. No other part of him moved. He exhaled the smoke and closed his eye again, “The bathroom is upstairs, on the second level. At the end of the hall.”
As if this stranger’s looks weren’t enough of a shock, his words came out accented. It sounded Russian, or maybe Czech. It made him sound melodic, like voicing an elegant song instead of speaking. Jayce found himself wanting to hear more.
“Oh, no, I, uh-” Jayce cleared his throat, then tried again, “Sorry, I was actually just trying to find a quiet place for a minute. All the noise was… it was a little much.”
The man’s eyes opened again, and this time he turned his head towards Jayce. The latter discovered two distinct things at that moment.
One, he had another beauty mark. Under his right eye, lighter than the one above his mouth.
Two, the attractiveness increased tenfold when he saw his whole face. A few strands of his hair had fallen out of the bun and framed his face. Seriously, he could be a model or something.
The stranger raised a thick, dark eyebrow, “Why come to a party if the party is going to be ‘a little much’?”
“Well, that’s not-” He scoffed, rubbing a hand over his jaw, “I didn’t- I came with a friend, so.”
Piercing golden eyes watched him with mild curiosity, “And where is your friend now?”
“She’s with her- you know what? It doesn’t matter.” Jayce shook his head, feeling a little disgruntled, “You’re the one hiding down here all by yourself.”
“Well, I live here. I can’t exactly escape the party.” He explained, tilting his head from side to side, “This was supposed to be my safe haven.”
Jayce ignored the last part, partly out of stubbornness, and responded with a question, “You live here? I thought Vi’s sister was the host.”
“Jinx.” The man explained, looking away. It gave Jayce a chance to take a deep breath. He felt like a bug under a magnifying glass with those eyes on him, “And she is. She’s my roommate. One of them.”
“Jinx? What kind of a name is that?” He chuckled.
There was no response. Only a noncommittal shrug as he lifted the joint to his lips once again. A motion by which Jayce found himself hypnotized. The slender fingers holding it, the way his lips pursed as he inhaled, the twitching of his eyelids. It looked so natural- as simple as breathing. He was so caught up in it that he didn’t realize the man’s gaze was on him again.
“Do you want some?” He asked, jolting Jayce out of his trance and offering the weed up.
He could feel his face heating up, both from being caught staring and from the offer. He’d had weed a couple of times in the past, but it never ended well. Whether it be not knowing his own limits or peer pressure, he always went too far and got too anxious to enjoy it. He was open to it, but that didn’t stop him from feeling nervous. A familiar emotion right now.
“Oh, I uh- I wouldn’t want to intrude.”
The man smiled, just a small thing, but it made a certain softness take over his face, “A little late for that, no?”
His cheeks were sure to be bright red now. He laughed nervously.
The good-looking stranger shook his head, gesturing for Jayce to come closer, “I’m joking. Come. The company might be nice.”
“Are you sure?” The question came out hesitant, but he was already moving over to the couch. Something about the way this guy spoke made him feel compelled to listen.
However, that could be the sleep deprivation talking. Or he’d finally lost it. Both were possibilities.
“I find you… intriguing.” His new acquaintance told him, watching as he sat on the opposite side of the couch, “Besides, you said you needed a moment of quiet.”
“I guess that’s true.” He shrugged, “Thanks. I appreciate it.”
“Mm.” Humming, he offered the joint to Jayce once again. This time, he took it.
It was only then that he realized there was a cane resting next to the man. Silver with a red and gold handle, decorated with graffiti that matched the ‘keep out’ sign on the door. He wondered if it was the stranger’s doing, but that felt unlikely. It didn’t seem like his style.
Jayce took a drag, forcing himself not to cough as the marijuana burned all the way down. He really was not used to this sensation. The only thing worse than the burn, though, would be looking like a fool in front of this interesting guy he’d just met. He had to play it cool.
God, he was such a loser.
“You’re supposed to exhale it, you know.” The man spoke up, amusement lacing that magnetizing accent. It was just shy of patronizing, which strangely made his stomach coil.
This entire interaction was making Jayce’s head spin a little bit.
He let the smoke out in one quick breath, which immediately sent him into a coughing fit. He hunched over himself, hitting a fist against his chest in an attempt to clear the pipe. He didn’t think this could get any worse. Either the humiliation or the coughing would kill him. A death that he’d happily embrace.
“There, there. Easy.” A hand rested on his back, lithe fingers rubbing into the muscles, “You haven’t smoked much, I see.”
Jayce barely noticed the hand on him, too preoccupied with trying not to die. He shook his head, letting out a hoarse, “Not really.”
“Here.” The joint was taken from his hand and replaced with a glass of water, “Drink.”
He didn’t hesitate to chug half of it. Then he slumped back against the couch, eyes closed as he took a few deep breaths. The burn had subsided, leaving only a bit of irritation in his throat. At the very least, he’d stopped coughing. Small victories.
“Are you alright?”
Jayce looked over at the stranger- his savior, in a way- and froze. Those amber eyes were locked on him, rimmed with red, and hungry. That feeling in his chest tightened, making him feel on edge.
He swallowed, “Yeah. Yeah, uh, sorry. I don’t- I’m sorta new to this.”
The man tucked some hair behind his ear and laid his arm over the back of the couch. His hand was only a few inches away from Jayce’s face.
“Was this your first time?”
“No.” He shook his head, “I’ve done it a couple times before. Just… not in a while.”
“I see.” He picked at a loose thread sticking out of the cushion, “Did you enjoy it? In the past?”
Jayce’s mind was starting to feel foggy. He pursed his lips, “It wasn’t bad. I think I just… I did too much too fast. Got in over my head.”
“Mm, you seem like the type.” The man’s fingernails were painted black, the polish chipped, “To get in over your head, that is.”
“Yeah?” He smiled lazily at his new friend, “What about you?”
The man shook his head immediately, “Definitely not. I am always calm and collected. Just don’t ask anyone close to me for a second opinion on that.”
That made him laugh. He laid a hand over his stomach, head tilted back. When he looked back at the stranger, still chuckling, there was something close to admiration on the guy’s face. Again, his stomach did a flip. What a strange way this night was going.
“What’s your name?” He asked, voice deeper and accent more prominent.
“Jayce.” He responded, “Jayce Talis. You?”
“Viktor.” The man told him, and it was perfect. He couldn’t think of a better-fitting name.
“It’s nice to meet you. Even if I made a complete fool of myself with the weed.”
Viktor snorted out a laugh, taking another hit from the joint. He made it look effortless, “Not at all. You’re new to it. I’ve been doing it for a long time.”
“You never get sick of it?”
“Never. It helps too much. With the, eh, pain. And, you know, it quiets the mind.”
“Right.” He gestured to the leg brace, “I don’t wanna pry, but I assume that’s what you’re talking about.”
“Well, there are worse ways to be nosy.” He responded, screwing up his lips, “You’d be right, though. It’s my bad leg. I was born with it.”
“I’m sorry.” Jayce blurted, because he felt like an idiot. The weed definitely wasn’t helping with his stupidness, “You don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to.”
“If I didn’t want to, I wouldn’t.”
He held his hands up in surrender, “Alright, that’s fair. I just don’t want you to feel pressured.”
“My hero.” Viktor deadpanned, rolling his pretty eyes, “Can you feel it yet?”
Jayce furrowed his brows, “Feel- oh, the weed?”
The other man nodded in confirmation.
“A little. I don’t think I had much, honestly.”
“Do you want more?”
“And have another coughing fit? I can’t take more embarrassment, Viktor.”
He chuckled, “You’ll survive. And we can try another way to get it down for you.”
“Another way? Like what?”
Something mischievous had crossed over his face, which was slightly scary, “I believe most people call it, uh… shotgunning. Have you heard of it?”
Jayce most definitely had. And the prospect was simultaneously intriguing and panic-inducing to him.
Viktor was nice and funny, and he was good-looking. But shotgunning was sort of… an intimate thing? In a way? The kind of thing you did when you wanted to get up close and personal with someone?
Was that what Viktor wanted? Was he coming onto Jayce?
If he was, well, that was flattering. But Jayce wasn’t really… he’d done stuff with men before. The typical college, experimenting stuff. And it was fine- wasn’t terrible. But he didn’t think that was really… him.
But he was also a little high. And spiraling. And he was having a good time with Viktor and he didn’t want it to end.
So what the hell? Why not? What’s the worst that could happen?
“Yeah, I- I think I have.” He spoke, finally giving in and rubbing at the back of his neck, “We could give it a shot. If you want.”
“Excellent.” Viktor patted the empty spot next to him, “Come.”
Jayce followed the order with no hesitation. Like a dog obeying the commands of his master. Something about it made the other man’s eyes light up, much to his confusion.
“So, how are we-”
He didn’t get the chance to finish his sentence. The words were cut off as Viktor slid onto his legs, seating himself right on Jayce’s lap. It sent his brain, his heart, his whole body into overdrive. It didn’t even occur to him to move him, though. He was too busy trying to remember how to breathe. Not necessarily in a bad way, but definitely slightly unnerving.
Friends could do stuff like this, right?
Did Jayce even want to just be friends? Was there something more here?
Viktor smelled like weed, cinnamon, and old paper. It drew him in with every breath.
Jayce, even with his sluggish mind, was coming to a semi-realization. While he couldn’t be sure how true it would feel in the light of day, it felt true now. Which could mean tons of things, honestly.
Jayce was realizing that he liked this feeling. He liked the buzzing under his skin, the fogginess behind his eyes. He liked the weight of Viktor on him, liked the smell of Viktor, liked Viktor. Something about him was just so magnetizing. It made him nervous. This whole thing did. But he found that he didn’t really mind it.
This was surely a crisis in the making. Something to be dealt with and reflected on in the sober light of day. He could analyze every move, second-guess every word and every reaction. He could take the time to nitpick his feelings until everything was clear. But right now, that didn’t matter.
Right now, he felt good. And he wanted to keep doing what felt good. That should be simple enough.
He nodded to himself. Literally. He probably looked like a freak to his companion. If he did, he garnered no reaction.
“Open your mouth,” Viktor told him, raising the joint to his lips.
Fuck. A cacophony of not-appropriate things flitted through his mind in reaction to the words. Not on purpose.
“Wait-” He heard himself saying, which was the opposite of what his heart (and his dick) wanted him to do. Apparently, his head still had the wheel.
Jayce rested his hands on Viktor’s hips to stop him. Even through the thick cardigan, the latter’s hip bones were prominent. It made something twist unhappily in Jayce’s chest.
Viktor did wait, pausing with a raised eyebrow and the weed an inch or two from his mouth.
“A-are you okay like this?” Jayce stuttered out, looking up at the star of his current dilemma, “Your leg-”
The questioning look on Viktor’s face turned to amusement, and he tilted his head, “That’s what you’re worried about? You idiot.”
The word didn’t even sting like it would’ve from anyone else. It sounded like an endearment more than anything.
“My leg is fine.” He hummed, resting a hand on Jayce’s shoulder. The weight was nice, soothing, “I’ve lived with it all my life. I know what I can handle.”
Did weed have some sort of magical attraction properties? The sensation in his chest certainly felt like something out of a fairytale.
“Okay.” Jayce exhaled shakily- again, not on purpose, “Okay. I just wanted to check.”
“How kind of you.” That hand left his arm, coming back a moment later as Viktor grabbed his chin. He squeezed lightly, causing Jayce’s lips to pucker, “Are you ready?”
Jayce nodded eagerly, giggling. Any harder and his head probably would’ve snapped off.
Viktor gave him a look of approval that made his lungs ache, “Inhale when I exhale. Yes?”
He swallowed, “Yes.”
The man half-smiled, gave him a little nod, and took a long drag. It looked so easy, so beautiful, when he did it. Which was a strange thing to think. A strange action to find beautiful. But it was, nevertheless.
Jayce parted his lips when Viktor lowered his hand, watching with expectant eyes as the man leaned toward him. Their noses brushed, sending a tingle through his skin. His breath hitched, and then the smoke was blown into his mouth. He closed his eyes and inhaled.
It burned again, but he loved it this time. It filled his chest, his brain, left him feeling a little weightless.
There was no coughing when he exhaled. Only the relief of subsided stinging, the warmth of Viktor against him. His nerves began to hum from his head to his toes.
He was pretty sure he understood what all the hype was about now. Why the drug was so popular.
But then again, that could all be because of Viktor.
Viktor, Viktor, Viktor.
“So beautiful.” He heard his companion say, and there was a thumb brushing over his bottom lip.
Jayce blinked his eyes open. It was harder than usual. Everything felt a little sluggish.
Viktor was watching him. The whites of his starlight eyes were red, his gaze half-lidded, and that hunger was back. He looked like a cat on the prowl. Stalking its prey.
Jayce had never been so pleased to feel like a cornered mouse.
“Do you like men, Jayce?”
“Do I-?” The question echoed his own thoughts bouncing around his mind. It sent a strike of panic through him, slightly dampened by the drug in his veins. He didn’t really have an answer for him. This night had brought up a lot of feelings on that exact topic, and most of them were muddy. It was terrifying, “I don’t… I’m not really sure, Viktor.”
“Allow me to rephrase my question, then.” He hummed, and he was back to brushing his fingers over Jayce’s face. His lips, cheeks, nose, the space between his eyebrows, “Do you want to kiss me?”
This question was much simpler. But it wasn’t much easier to answer.
He really liked Viktor. He was drawn to him like a moth to a flame. Viktor was funny and he had a nice accent and his face was- honestly, the only word that came to mind was beautiful. He’d never found a man beautiful before.
Jayce wanted the answer to be easy. He wanted it to come to him like a reflex. But he was scared. The fear was holding him back.
He tried to remind himself of the vow he’d made only a bit ago. Analyze emotions later, do what feels good now.
If Viktor was a woman, Jayce knew what his answer would be. And that should be enough for now. He met Viktor’s gaze once more.
“Yes.” He whispered. It felt a little like signing his death sentence.
“Go on, then.” Their noses were touching again. Viktor’s skin was cold on his. Or maybe Jayce’s was just unusually hot.
“You want me to?” Jayce was over-thinking. As he, clearly, had a tendency to do. But some part of him felt like this was all a prank, or a dream. Surely, the moment he leaned forward it would all go up in a cloud of smoke.
“Take what you want, Jayce.” His voice was lower, deeper. The words curled with his accent, like music notes drifting through the air, “Hesitate, and the opportunity will slip through your fingers.”
That was all the push he needed.
He kissed Viktor. Slowly at first, awkwardly. He was giggling again, mostly out of nervousness. Jayce had experience in kissing- 95% of it was with women. And this was different.
He’d lean forward and end up squishing their noses together. Let out a chuckle, re-adjust, try again. Their teeth clacked together on the next kiss, a jarring sensation that made them both flinch. Still, they were smiling and touching and going for more. Jayce tried to kiss him and missed, planting a smooch right on his chin.
“Shit-” He snickered, pulling away. His cheeks were red-hot, “Sorry, sorry.”
“Don’t be. And don’t be nervous.” Viktor’s eyes crinkled a little as he smiled, “We’re in no rush.”
“Yeah. Yeah, you’re right. Okay.” He took a stabilizing breath, half-grinning, “Can I try again?”
“I’d be offended if you didn’t.”
Jayce laughed and kissed him again. A little more sure this time, but just as sloppy. He leaned up off the couch, pressing his hand into the small of Viktor’s lower back. Needing him closer, closer, closer. His lips tasted like raspberries.
Viktor’s fingers tangled into Jayce’s hair, keeping his head right where he wanted. He kissed him like he was a master at it, like it was something he’d done a million times. It made Jayce feel very, very inadequate.
He nipped at Jayce’s bottom lip, pulled back enough that Jayce had to chase him for more, then plunged right back in. A gentle tug on the locks in Viktor’s hands had Jayce’s mouth falling open. Viktor’s tongue slipped inside a moment later. One of his hands came to rest on Viktor’s face, thumb brushing over that sharp cheekbone. He allowed himself to be manhandled- let Viktor use his mouth as he pleased. He couldn’t stop fucking smiling.
“There we go, you’re getting the hang of it,” Viktor murmured against his lips. His kisses moved to Jayce’s chin, mouthing along his jawline, “So eager, too. Like a puppy. Will you wag your tail if I call you a good boy?”
He wanted to be embarrassed about the comparison. Wanted to not like the insinuation as much as he did. Mostly, though, he just wanted more Viktor.
“Fuck.” He breathed, tilting his head back to give the other man more access. His pants were starting to strain a little bit.
“I think that’s a yes.” He whispered, his breath sending goosebumps across Jayce’s skin.
Viktor’s kisses moved up, up, up, until he was nibbling on Jayce’s earlobe. He gave it one sharp tug.
And Jayce fucking whimpered.
He’d never made that noise before. He didn’t even know he could make that noise. It definitely didn’t sound like something that would’ve come out of him. But it had. His face was on fire.
“Oh, you like that?” Viktor practically purred. He pulled away to look at Jayce, and his hazy eyes widened a bit, “You didn’t know you liked that.”
“No, I-” He swallowed, shifting a little in his seat, “I didn’t mean to make that… noise.”
As if his inexperience wasn’t bad enough, now he was making sounds that could only be labeled as pathetic. Viktor must have thought he was such an idiot.
The man frowned, pink lips forming an adorable pout, “I put work into getting that noise from you. I’d appreciate if you didn’t try to downplay it.”
Jayce blinked up at him, “You liked it?”
Viktor stared at him like he was an idiot. Jayce could only focus on how pretty he was like that.
“Kiss me again?” He pleaded, because the way his head was already spinning wasn’t enough. He needed more.
His companion was happy to oblige.
The kiss was back to passionate and sloppy, all tongue and teeth and wandering hands. Jayce’s shirt got halfway unbuttoned, Viktor’s hair was let down, and the forgotten cup of water was kicked onto the carpet. Neither of them noticed, or maybe they didn’t care. Too caught up in each other to remember there was a whole world around them.
They’d fallen into a rhythm, moving together like partners in a dance. It was euphoric.
“Shit-” Jayce moaned, eyes rolled back as the other man sucked at his neck.
Viktor ran his tongue down Jayce’s pulse point, kissed the spot right above his collarbone, and then bit down. Hard.
Jayce hissed at the sting, then grunted as it immediately turned into pleasure. All of his blood had gone South. His head was blissfully empty. Had he ever felt so needy in his life? If he had, he definitely couldn’t remember it.
Viktor slid his hands down Jayce’s arms, interlocking them with the ones still on his waist. His fingers were slender against Jayce’s, bony and long while the other’s were thick and strong. They fit together perfectly.
Viktor kissed him again, then again. Little pecks that left him desperate for more.
“Had enough yet?” He asked through the kisses, his lips swollen and red, “Perhaps you should return to the- mm- party. If you’ve had your moment of quiet.”
“Trying to get rid of me?” Jayce asked, his breathing ragged. The question was asked jokingly, but it made his chest ache. Maybe he was doing terribly- maybe this wasn’t as good for Viktor as it was for him. He squeezed Viktor’s hands, still clasped in his own, “And here I thought we were having such a good time.”
“Whatever gave you that idea?” He shot back, attempting to hide the amused smile on his lips. He certainly thought himself funny. It made Jayce’s fear die down, just a little, “Be a good boy and lay me down. I need to rest my leg.”
The nickname went straight to his dick. It also made him sit there for a solid five seconds like an idiot as his mind tried to process the words. Then he did, and it immediately had his heart lunging with worry.
“Does it hurt?” Jayce asked earnestly, hooking his hands under Viktor’s thighs to lay him down on the couch. He knelt in between the man’s legs, the right one stretched out and relaxed.
Viktor let out a relieved sigh as he settled into the couch, “It was starting to pinch. Nothing too bad, don’t worry.”
“Are you sure?” Jayce asked softly, one hand holding him up while the other held Viktor’s hip. He watched the man closely, worriedly, “We can stop if-”
“Do you want to stop?”
“No!” He choked out, dark strands falling over his forehead. The answer came out faster than his mind could keep up. Complete instinct. He furrowed his brows, “No, I don’t. I just am… worried.”
“Jayce, I am high out of my mind, having my way with a beautiful boy. I am fine.”
He grinned at the sentiment, even as it made his face heat up, “Beautiful? Really?”
Viktor rolled his red-tinged eyes, “You know you’re beautiful. I won’t feed your ego. Come and kiss me more, yes?”
Jayce giggled. He leaned down, “Yes.”
It was easier to kiss Viktor like this- more familiar. He still wasn’t the one leading, but it did feel like he had more control. Not that he’d minded being at the mercy of his companion.
Jayce’s hand slid down the other man’s hip, grasping his thigh and pulling the leg against his waist. He could nearly wrap his hand entirely around the limb, fingertips almost touching. It made something primal, maybe territorial, bloom in his chest. Viktor was so fucking skinny.
“Mm-” Viktor gasped as their groins slotted together, fingers digging into Jayce’s shoulders. He looked up with those pretty sunset eyes, lips parted, “Jayce.”
If he was sober, Jayce would’ve realized that his name sounded a little like a warning. But he was high, he was horny, and he had never been much of a good listener. And Viktor smelled so good and his skin was soft and Jayce was kissing up and down his throat. Really, it wasn’t his fault. He had too much he was preoccupied with.
He rolled his hips again, desperate for friction, and paused. Something about that was… off. It didn’t feel how it should.
“Hold on,” Viktor spoke up again, another warning. Jayce couldn’t hear him- he was too busy thinking.
The cogs in his head were turning, and he was realizing, and- Shit. He pulled away like he’d been burned. He watched with wide eyes as Viktor sat up, the latter’s expression nearing resignation.
“Jayce-” He began, and it sounded like the beginning of an explanation.
Once again, Jayce was not listening. How the hell was Viktor so calm? This was serious!
“Oh my God.” He breathed out, running a hand through his already messy hair. He sat back on his heels, “Oh my God, Viktor, where’s your dick? What happened to it?”
The other man watched him in stunned silence. It was totally unnerving. Really, why wasn’t he freaking out?!
“Did I crush it? Oh my God, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know that was possible. My Mom always told me I had more strength than I knew what to do with, I just didn’t think it could do this-”
Viktor snorted. Loud and sharp enough that it shut Jayce up, quieted his mind. The two stared at each other for three long seconds.
Then Viktor started laughing.
The sound was light, a little wheezy, and beautiful. Despite the strangeness of the situation, it made Jayce smile. He’d never heard a laugh quite like it.
Still, that didn’t take away from the very real panic coursing through him.
“Jayce, you are- oh, God.” He chuckled, covering his mouth with a hand, “It is a good thing you have your looks.”
He furrowed his brows. His brain was very slow right now and he was very, very confused. Shaking his head, he rested a hand on Viktor’s knee, “I don’t understand.”
The smile the man gave Jayce was equal parts fondness and patronization, “I don’t have a, eh, dick, as you so eloquently put it. I never have.”
Jayce tilted his head to the side as if things would make more sense at a 45-degree angle. He blinked once, twice, three times, “What?”
Viktor rolled his eyes, more for theatrics than anything else, “To put it technically, I was born a female. Which took me very little time to realize was not the case. Thus, here I am now. Not a female. My body simply… is a little behind in the process.”
“Oh.”
Jayce was the dumbest fucking idiot in the world. His face was absolutely on fire, embarrassment burning through him. Part of him hoped death would just take him now, or that this was all a dream he’d wake up from. If only to save himself from the humiliation. Viktor must have been kicking himself for spending time with such an imbecile.
“Is that a problem for you?” Viktor asked when Jayce stayed silent, an incredulous eyebrow raised. The warmth was gone from him, defenses raised as he waited for an answer.
Jayce lurched forward, desperate to fix the situation, to stop being so damn stupid. A large hand cupped Viktor’s cheek, “No! No, not at all. I’m sorry, I just- I feel so stupid.” He laughed, more self-deprecating than anything, “You’re great, Viktor- wonderful. And I’m an idiot. I didn’t- I’m sorry, my brain is not working. It’s not a problem. I like you how you are.”
The word vomit spewing from him was grating on his nerves, making him cringe. He wanted to curl into a ball and die. This was the worst.
He expected Viktor to pull away. To tell him to leave, that they were done and Jayce was unwelcome. He expected to be shunned for his idiocy. He would’ve deserved it, too.
Instead, the man huffed out a laugh. He shook his head, “I’m not sure I’d go so far as to call you an idiot, Jayce. But it certainly was not one of your finest moments.”
“Definitely not.” He grinned, running his thumb over the sharp cheekbone, “Try not to hold it against me? I don’t care that you’re a guy without a dick. I like you. I’m just very high.”
“Oh, you like me?” Viktor wrapped a hand around Jayce’s forearm, “You just met me.”
He gave a half-assed shrug, getting a little caught up in how starkly contrasting their skin tones were, “It doesn’t take much.”
“Just weed and some kissing, huh?”
“You also happen to be very cool.” Jayce argued, a teasing lilt to his voice, “Though the weed and the kissing don’t hurt.”
Viktor chuckled. He looked so lovely with his hair down and a smile on his face. Jayce wanted to commit it to a canvas and look at it forever.
“Can we do some more of it? The kissing?” He asked before he could stop himself. This longing in his chest was more than he could bear.
The man’s eyes shimmered like starlight, something akin to pride flaring in him. He liked that Jayce wanted him. Jayce liked it too- he liked that look on Viktor’s face a lot.
Just as Jayce’s companion opened his mouth to respond, though, they were interrupted.
The door to the basement was flung open, letting in a flurry of pounding music and strobe lights. Jayce jumped a foot in the air, heart rate skyrocketing, while Viktor didn’t move a muscle.
“Vik, you down there?” A voice that could only be described as cackly called. From here, Jayce couldn’t see any part of the intruder besides black scuffed boots and two ankle-length blue braids, “Ekko says I can’t set off my fireworks unless you’re there to supervise!”
Viktor laid his head against the back of the couch and looked up toward the doorway, “I’m assuming you won’t be taking no for an answer?”
“Nope!” Came her enthusiastic reply as she rocked back and forth on her heels, “I told you I was gonna make you participate in the party. You’ve had your time.”
The man let out a long sigh before responding, “I’ll be right there.”
“Don’t take too long! I’ll be on the roof!”
Then the door slammed shut, and they were in the quiet again.
Viktor looked at Jayce with an expression bordering on apologetic, “It seems we’ll have to rain-check our kissing, unfortunately.”
“You have to go?” He didn’t mean to sound as pathetic and whiny as he did. The thought of parting with him right now made him very sad.
“Jinx is not one for patience.” Viktor got to his feet, stretching his arms above his head until his spine popped. His shirt rode up, giving Jayce a peek of smooth skin over a prominent hip bone, “And I’d prefer if my house didn’t get burned down by her antics. I like having a place to live.”
Viktor was reaching for his cane and Jayce was panicking, panicking, panicking. He didn’t want to say goodbye, not yet. His mind was a haze but he knew that much.
“Well, can I see you again? Sometime soon?” Desperate. He must’ve looked so desperate. He didn’t care.
Viktor paused and looked down at him, half-smirking. His fingers tapped against the head of his cane, “I’m sure you’ll see me again, Jayce. Some time.”
“But-”
“You can stay down here as long as you’d like.” Viktor walked towards the stairs, favoring the weight of his bad leg a little, “Enjoy the quiet, get some rest, take care of your… predicament. No one will bother you.”
It didn’t take a genius to know that the ‘predicament’ was Jayce’s not-so-subtle erection. His cheeks were heating up again. All he could do was watch with resignation as the man moved away from him. He was like water Jayce was trying to hold in his hands.
Just as he was about to ascend the stairs, Viktor stopped again. He looked at Jayce over his shoulder, gazing through strands of brown hair. His eyes shone with warmth, “Thank you for keeping me company. I hope it was as… enjoyable for you as it was for me.”
He left after that. Deserting Jayce in the basement with kiss-swollen lips, too-tight pants, and a whole lot of questions.

No thoughts, just Jinx revealing that it was actually her and Vi that blew up Jayce’s apartment when they were trying to rob him at the Jayvik wedding. Because the explosion is why Jayce and Viktor met and now Jayce legally can’t get mad at them because really it’s all thanks to them that they’re getting married now and if they had to blame anyone it would be Jayce because he’s shit at haggling.
She says this all in her speech (she’s Viktor’s groomswoman along with Ekko [he’s grown attached to them since they became his apprentices] and Caitlyn and Vi are Jayce’s groomsmen) and Jayce goes from laughing to O_O in an instant. Viktor is losing his shit because of how insanely ridiculous the situation is and how much of an idiot his husband is. Jayce turns to Vi and is like “is that true?” But Vi is also losing her shit and can barely breathe much less answer poor Jayce.
And Jayce isn’t mad or anything, it happened so long ago that he can’t even conceptualize getting mad. But he’s fucking shook that someone he considers one of his closest friend almost ruined his life before they even met.

Blood, Fur and Magic
Vampire Viktor x reader x Werewolf Jayce
Warnings: Vampire things, werewolf things, light swearing, possessiveness, smut, sexual, intimacy, poly relationship, angst, violence
I saw somewhere about Viktor being vampire coded and Jayce being werewolf coded and now I just wanna be that sandwich
I’m also sorry if it’s confusing xD
Theres a ringing in your ears, a pain in your leg and your whole body, the ground was closer than you remember. You cough your lungs engulfing dust and rubble. What happened? You remember clash shattering and an explosion, you had only just walked into the council room when it went off. There’s someone shaking your shoulder, someone yelling, you know that voice, Mel? You blink your eyes open seeing her knelt beside you shaking you. There’s relief in her face when you open your eyes and she sits you up as cough again and your hearing slowly returns. You focus on the ruin of the council room, everyone’s dead-
“Hey, can you hear me?” Mel cups your cheeks a moment gently tapping them before clicking her fingers by your ears.
“Yeah- I can” you move her hands and she sighs in relief.
“What happened?” You manage as she goes to help you up, you cry in pain though and look down to your leg, you almost pass out at the sight quickly covering your eyes and whimpering.
“Don’t look” Mel quickly covers it with your jacket and ties your leg off making you cry again.
“VIKTOR!” theres a yell in the council room, Mel quickly looks and you urge her to go. You see Jayce stand and leg it to a pile of rubble. You struggle to get up so you opt for dragging yourself on the floor. Thats when you see them both in view, Jayce over Viktor’s unconscious body, tearing off his shirt performing CPR. Your mind slows and reels at the scene, everything feels in slow motion Jayce’s body moving quickly trying to revive Viktor before he’s lifting him and running. Mel returns to your side quickly as guards begin to rush in.
“Mel-“ you feel tears down your face watching Jayce run with Viktor in his arms.
“They’ll be alright” she says but there’s no real truth in her words as you let out a broken cry. You weren’t ready to say goodbye, you weren’t ready to see his sweet face leave. You’re lifted to the medical wing your leg broken the bone sticking out. You pass out along the way world dimming in pain and darkness.
The next time you wake you focus on your surroundings, a hospital room, you feel the pain in your leg numbed and your mind comes back. Viktor, Jayce- you need to see them now. You curse the cast on your leg and stumble out of the hospital room. You lean against the wall and hobble painfully to the receptionist.
“Miss-!” She says shocked but you don’t care, your teeth are gritted and you lean heavily against the counter.
“Jayce Talis, Viktor where are they?” You say and she fumbles a bit.
“Now! Please!” You beg. Someone escorts you to a private room, you have crutches as support as you walk to Viktor’s room. You stand outside it a moment before knocking softly you hear shuffling movement before Jayce opens the door.
“Please I said-“ he stops as he sees you, eyes wide he says your name softly before he hugs you tightly. You feel tears roll down your face as you let the crutches go and hug him back.
“How’s the leg?” He asks pulling back keeping you steady.
“Doesn’t matter” you say seeing Viktor on the bed. There’s a bunch of tubes in him, he has a breathing machine attached to him the sight makes your stomach coil.
“Jayce” you whisper with tears in your eyes, he helps you inside and closes the door, you walk over to where Viktor lays, too still, too pale, it’s worse than the last time you saw him in here. You can’t control your emotions as tears roll down your face and you almost collapse. Jayce is quick to settle you on a chair nearby hushing you gently.
“I’m not ready” you sob and Jayce takes in a shaky breath his emotions clear too.
“I know, I know I’m not either” he says his tears falling as well.
There’s no improvement, Viktor lays in a state of a death like sleep. You nor Jayce leave his room often, you both not wanting to say goodbye. Many times you’ve both yelled at the doctors when they said it may be time to let him go. You were never one to show your emotions so easily but this? This turned a switch.
It’s around midnight you think, time doesn’t matter in this room anymore. You’re curled up on the bed Jayce had brought in your broken leg stretched out. It’s been two months now, with the severity of the break yourself still going to have this cast on for months. It doesn’t matter though, you’re alive and Viktor is lying on that bed in a shut down body. You don’t know who goes first, you or Jayce on a tandem of finding a cure, like anyone could possibly cure death. Viktor’s right limbs are changed by the Arcane, a strange purple, grey colour. After Jayce saw what it had done he destroyed it, that fracture in there friendship never healed properly, neither apologised fully and now Jayce didn’t have a chance too. You’ve got books, notes and crumble papers everywhere in the lab, you don’t remember when you started being this invested in fixing things. You lean against the table, head on your arms as you feel yourself drift off to sleep.
You dream of woods, ones you’ve never seen, you’re running your legs are burning, heart pounding but you need to get away. There’s something behind you chasing you, howling in the background. You slam into something though the air knocked out of you, you look up seeing a hooded figure. Images flash into your mind, fangs, blood, fur, canines, it’s too much flickering.
“Change is the only way” the voice is eerie, one you don’t know before the figure is gone, the howl closer than before and rustling in the underbrush before it launches
You scream awake shooting up, you pant and grasp the table in front of you. Your heart pounds and you’re covered in sweat. You jolt when the door opens almost jumping off the chair.
“Hey” Jayce mutters as he walks in the lab. You look at him frowning, his hairs a little longer his beard has grown slightly, he’s got bags under his eyes though, his face a little sunken in.
“What’s wrong?” He asks as images flick in your mind. Canines, brown fur, golden eyes. You wince and hold your head, Jayce comes closer his hand on your shoulder gently. You feel claws in your skin though and yell in pain stumbling away. It ends up with you on the floor and a worried Jayce in front of you with his hands up. You stare at his hands, they’re normal, no sharp claws. You look to your shoulder and nothing. You feel overwhelmed, tears in your eyes as you apologise. Jayce soothes you instantly coming down to kneel by you, holding you close. You don’t feel any claws this time, just his warmth.
“We both need rest” he says helping you off the floor careful of your casted leg. You sigh but nod and follow him out of the lab on your crutches. Your apartments been forgotten over the last two months, Jayce’s is closer to the hospital so you stay there instead in his spare room. You fall onto your bed, sort of, careful not to jolt your leg as you sigh and close your eyes again.
You dream of the woods again, but there’s another chasing you, they’re faster, quieter moving in the shadows. It’s dark, the full moon high above you, you run till you can’t, till you collapse on the floor with your lungs bursting for air. You feel it before you see it, the creep of coldness on your skin the prickle on fear on the back of your neck.
“You’ll taste so sweet” it whispers and you know that voice. There’s a figure over you pinning you to ground before two cold small shards pierce your neck. You faintly hear a low growl behind you and listen to the laugh the figure on top of you lets out.
“Jayce” he chuckles and you know who it is, Viktor, his hairs longer, his body fuller his eyes a swirl of colours. You follow his gaze and you see the beast, hunched over golden eyes staring at you and him both. A wolf like body, hunched over tail swishing behind.
“He’s possessive” Viktor leans down and whispers in your ear teasingly his tongue sliding across your neck.
“Why’re you surprised to see me?” He sits up again his body still straddling yours.
“You’re dead” you whisper.
“Dead? Hardly, my heart may not beat but I’ve not felt this alive in years” he grins and you see two pointed fangs. Another growl leaves the beast and Viktor laughs again.
“Come my love” he lifts a hand and reaches out for the beast. It walks over on all fours nuzzling its head into Viktor palm.
“You don’t recognise him?” Viktor asks looking to you. You frown at them both and listen to the low whine the wolf like beast lets out. You stare at its eyes, golden- Golden like Jayce’s.
“Jayce” you whisper in shock and Viktor chuckles softly a smile on his lips as he pets the wolf head.
“Wake now sweet thing” Viktor whispers before you jolt upward surrounded by the faint glow of the sun and Jayce’s spare room.

Jayce and the fallacy of the butterfly effect in Arcane's narrative
If Jayce's symbol is the butterfly, then my theory is that we're going into a full "butterfly effect" narrative in Act 2. Either we'll watch it happen, or we'll only see Jayce come out the other side of it changed by the experience, knowing - or more importantly, THINKING he knows - what to do to change the future. Literally, to "defend tomorrow."
tl;dr: Jayce will encounter the butterfly effect in season 2. Viktor and Mel both foreshadowed this in season 1. I think Jayce will fixate on Viktor and will believe that stopping or changing Viktor either in the past or the present - most likely the present - will mean he can save the future. I believe this will lead to an even worse tragedy and may have the same effect as a self-fulfilling prophecy. Ekko's approach to changing the future by sticking closer to the present - considering only tiny increments of time to alter more immediate future outcomes - will be the superior approach. I also think that Jayce attempting to change the future will create the conditions that push Viktor to become the Machine Herald.
One of the most common reactions even the casual viewer had to Arcane season 1 was this: "If [character] had just done this one small thing a little differently, [tragic event] wouldn't have happened!"
Arcane has been called a Greek tragedy for the main reason that because of how well built up the characters' personalities and reasonings are, there's no other way season 1 could have gone. There was no stopping the multiple tragedies that occurred, because with one event leading to another, the chain of seemingly inevitable events goes too far back to identify what one singular event caused everything, what one character made what one decision to put our characters on the terrible paths they walked.
Arcane is about to investigate this idea in its own narrative, and I think that Jayce will be the character to stumble into the flawed idea that you can change one event, or stop one character, and change the future for the better. This is because Jayce struggles with a few very interesting character flaws, one of them being that he believes himself to be the main character, and it is therefore his responsibility to intervene, be a hero, and fix things.
Viktor and Mel both foreshadow Jayce's future encounter with the butterfly effect.
Recall that Viktor said: "There is always a choice."
Jayce sees choices in black and white, believes that he has no other options but to go along with what he's persuaded and pushed into, and acts too boldly with too much power multiple times.
Recall that Mel said: "We can't change what fate has in store for us, but we don't have to face it alone."
Jayce tries to solve big problems on his own, and though he delegates to Enforcers and the like, Jayce relies on his reasoning and his alone to make important decisions if he doesn't simply become persuaded - usually through strong emotions like fear - by other characters. In addition, since Mel is specifically talking about Viktor's plight here, it's worth mentioning that while Jayce did say that he would help Viktor in acts 2 and 3 of season 1, Jayce does wind up leaving Viktor to face his fate alone. When Jayce tries to change that fate in s2 ep1, ep2 shows that only tragedy can come of this as well.
Viktor and Mel's statements here are not contradictory. Viktor makes the point that you can always make a choice. In context, he's literally referring to the classic "secret third option," because given a choice between aggression and passivity, war and surrender, Viktor chooses to defuse the bomb instead. Mel, interestingly, seems to believe that destiny is fixed in a broad sense, and she operates as a politician and diplomat and investor who navigates that line of destiny in the most optimal way possible. In reality, in context, she is referring to the fact that Viktor can't change the way he was born and so he has no way to change his fate and therefore must face it, which is true - she's only missing the information that Viktor actually does have the means to change his illness and his body. Her wisdom still applies however, because he'll have to accept the hand that fate deals him after he makes that choice. Will he face it alone, or not?
There is always a choice, there's even secret third options, because having a fate doesn't mean that you are doomed to make only one possible series of choices. What it does mean is that each choice comes with a hand that fate deals you. It is impossible to know what all of these branching choices and consequences are in advance, and it is just as impossible in hindsight - the branches are too complex and the end outcomes are all equally meaningful, just different. If Arcane season 2 is to be a tragedy, it may show us that each possible outcome is still tragic if you fall for the fallacy of the butterfly effect.
Jayce is counseled by some of the wisest, cleverest characters with the deepest life experiences in Arcane, but he hardly ever takes that counsel to heart. If he does, he still acts on that counsel in flawed ways that have unintended consequences. This will come to a head in season 2.
Viktor and Jayce both have a butterfly following them around in season 1. The butterfly effect refers to one small seemingly insignificant event changing the course of history, and changing that event therefore changes history. Viktor bled over the railing of a Hexgate in season 1:
And Heimerdinger sees what we can only assume is Viktor's blood contaminating (?) the Hexgate in s2 ep3:
This might be the seemingly unimportant "inciting incident" that Jayce (and Heimerdinger and Ekko) settle on as something that should be avoided or erased by changing the past (if they time-travel with Ekko, for example).
I doubt that, if this is what this crew chooses to fixate on, it will be the only event that is considered as something to change. But let's take this and run with it for the sake of discussion.
As silly as it sounds, how do you stop Viktor from allowing his blood to come into contact with the arcane? Stop Viktor's involvement with the Academy entirely? Don't invent Hextech at all? But what if someone else invents Hextech besides Jayce? What if future tragedy befalls Piltover because it didn't invent Hextech?
The possibilities and what-ifs could branch on forever. But because Jayce is who he is, and because his tragedy with Viktor is still raw and recent and frightening, I think Jayce's butterfly effect experience will have to do with Viktor.
My personal prediction is that the timeskip between s2 ep3 and ep4 will be Jayce experiencing a timeline where Viktor, taken over by the Hexcore, brings about an apocalyptic event similar to what Heimerdinger experienced in his past. Either Jayce and co. can't go into the past to change the present, or Heimerdinger and/or Ekko advise strongly against it to avoid a paradox. This will lead to them re-entering the canon Arcane timeline before this apocalypse, but still after the timeskip. Jayce, believing that destroying Viktor and his cult will save the future, and believing that resurrecting Viktor was Jayce's mistake to fix, attacks him. But the consequences don't unfold the way he hopes, because trying to change fate once the cards have already been dealt has led to tragedy before.
The butterfly is a symbol of something other than just the butterfly effect - change, evolution, and rebirth. If the butterfly symbolizes the butterfly effect for Jayce, then I think it has a different meaning for Viktor - the change and rebirth meaning.
I've always found it very interesting that we see a similar-looking butterfly on Progress Day... but made of metal.
Every time Viktor's situation changes, he adapts and evolves. If Jayce attacks him, if his cult is destroyed, if the Hexcore is causing Viktor to decay, if all of these things happen at once - he'll just evolve again, and I think the Machine Herald is the next step. And the Machine Herald will be a triumph for Viktor, but Jayce will believe that he's created something even worse. The resulting feud will be a personal nightmare for both of them.
I think this still allows Viktor to use his own agency to choose to become the Machine Herald (the MH will probably be the "secret third option" that saves Viktor, or there will be a secret third option that ends the feud) while still allowing Jayce to be offended and horrified at whatever the Machine Herald represents or is trying to do in the undercity. Introducing the element of time travel allows Arcane to explore the meta concept of tragedy and fate that season 1 was built on while showing that you can't "solve" a tragedy, because there are other terrible possibilities lurking behind alternate choices. Especially if what you're trying to change is singular people or events and not systems of power.
This is why Ekko's approach with his Z-drive will be superior to Jayce's sweeping attempt at changing the future. Ekko's goal has always been societal change. He creates his own punk society in the undercity, more progressive and successful than anything Vander or Silco ever created, and a better bastion of safety, hope, and progress than what Heimerdinger founded in Piltover. Trying to change systems by going back in time is most likely futile. But taking what Ekko has already built in the Firelights, curing his tree, and fighting for the Firelights' survival bit by bit by optimizing the present with the Z-drive shows that:
It's more worth it to focus on becoming wise (Ekko's mask is an owl) and making choices you won't regret
It's best if you don't face your fate alone (act as a collective and take care of each other)
Consider every option, not just the obvious black and white choices
Maintain and fix what you've already built instead of abandoning it once things get difficult
Adapt as needed if the choices you made lead to dark consequences, and once again, stick together and take care of each other when the bad times do come
That's my Act 2 but, ultimately, my season 2 prediction based on the butterfly symbolism we've already seen. Ekko's involvement is what will give the series the at least partial happy ending that the creators have referred to. I personally don't think that the Viktor/Jayce feud will end quite so well, but maybe, they will still survive.
#arcane#spoilers#arcane s2#arcane spoilers#jayce talis#ekko#viktor#viktor arcane#long post#meta#jayvik#arcane meta#heimerdinger#I'm positive that Mel will be deeply involved with this too considering her comments on fate#honestly the thought of her being caught in the Viktor/Jayce feud is terrible to contemplate so I'm just gonna pray for my girl#I did not like the time travel implications when i first watched act 1 but after thinking about this i feel way better about it#Another reason I think this will come down to Viktor is because Heimerdinger has distrusted Viktor since season 1 and he will focus on him#Ekko will see the faults in focusing on one person#Jayce is least likely to survive all this considering how fast the consequences of his actions are catching up with him#but there could also be a chance here of viktor choosing to spare him - if only to curse him with the Defender/Herald feud forever idk#anyway i am feral for season 2 so far can't you tell

Sick and TIRED of people claiming Ekko loved Alternate Universe Powder and not main universe Jinx. Throughout the series Ekko has continuously proven that he cares for Jinx dearly, through both canon actions and deleted scenes we know that Ekko cares deeply for Jinx.
Within the AU we're able to see an emotionally available Powder who was able to have a stable support system alongside a flourishing relationship. Which shows that Powder, Jinx, is fully able to be a good person. A normal human girl. Ekko is finally able to see this, that Powder is only so happy because she's lived so peacefully. He's always had a crush on her, it's lingering and it's never gone away. During the bridge scene, and Jinx's debut, we notice that Ekko freezes up both times when seeing jinx face to face. That she's able to draw out strong and violent reactions out of him that aren't exactly rational.
Usually people aren't able to do that to him, he's confrontational and stern because he's the Firelight leader, but we notice that most all of his decisions so far have been well thought out and responsible. In s1e4 we see him look at his stopwatch, see he has little time left before their crystals break, and he STILL goes to pursue Jinx. This is probably because he still harnesses strong feelings of hate towards Jinx, shock and frustration overwhelm him. Because it's Jinx who's done this, one of Silco's goons, but most importantly his childhood friend who's become so twisted. Scar is forced to grab Ekko and stop him before he goes too far, which shows off that Jinx does cause an especially strong emotional response for multiple reasons.
But the bridge scene shows that Ekko still does see the girls he's loved inside of Jinx. He hits her twice, neither time's does he get a good look at her face. But as he's winding up to hit her a third time, he pauses, he looks at her desperate face and he see's nothing more but an innocent girl. Which is why he stops, he still bears affection for her, clearly. The rest of the bridge scene is intimate enough but if I do have to mention anything, people who don't bear feelings for each other don't smirk at the other person like that.
When Ekko finds himself in the AU he's able to see Jinx/Powder in her most healthy form, finding ways of mourning and coping considered healthy. He see's pieces of Jinx inside of this Powder, her potential and what she could be. That's not something you do with someone you don't bear affection for. You don't look at the seemingly perfect version of someone and say that there's something missing; something missing that only versions that have gone through hell have. Pieces of herself that can't be replaced. Ekko doesn't just love Jinx.
He loves her entirety, he loves her innovative mind able of creating the worst war weapons. He loves that she's able to push herself to limits that he couldn't dream of, because he loves her for who she is. In both universes, what we notice is that they're both artists, they're both creators. Powder doesn't discard her love for gadgetry because she didn't experience atrocities, she's still unbelievably smart, being able to help Ekko create the anomaly. Being able to follow along while not knowing anything beforehand.
Jinx is able to crack hex tech with nothing more than Viktor's notes and some tinkering, this shows that no matter what universe, Jinx/Powder is an unbelievably talented and smart girl who could do so much.
Ekko is able to recognize that with Jinx's Genius it comes madness, and he simply would rather have her be both rather than an assistant. Not saying that he wouldn't love Alt Powder, I'm just saying that Arcane Ekko wouldn't be nearly as happy with her rather than Jinx. Because with Jinx comes crazy ideas and a leadership that matches his. That's the Jinx he never fell out of love with.
Even in both of these characters, Jinx and Powder have never been different. In each universe, they never got to blossom yet they're one bud. Two sides of a coin who'd never know the other existed if not for "what if's"
Powder is what Jinx is if she was happy, soft and delicate, she still holds the potential to create extraordinary devices, yet she doesn't because she never had the need to.
Jinx is what Powder would become if she was put under tremendous stress and trauma, devoid of a support system she turns to her gadgetry and weaponry, while slowly losing the part of herself that could be soft.
They both exist in one person, and Ekko is able to see both of them, and give them what they need in order to bloom. He's able to give Jinx unconditional yet not unhealthy amounts of support, and he's able to give Powder the push to expressing herself through her inventions more harshly.
Ekko realizes that Jinx is still Powder, no matter how many times she changes her name. Us as the audience is able to realize that Jinx is still able to love for Powder, because we've seen her interact with Isha. Isha is similar to Powder which is healing for Jinx. When Jinx loses Isha, we can see that she never truly let go of Powder, that Powder was never different from Jinx. That they're simply a part of herself she never wanted to accept until she saw it from another perspective.
But Ekko doesn't know this, yet he still has continuous faith in her that she's capable of change. We see Ekko actively pursue Jinx in order for her not to kill herself, because he loves her. He cares for her deeply and he wants to redeem himself by simply being there, even if he's late. Because what Jinx has needed all along was an unconditional companion. Which is what Ekko can be.
Being the support that someone needs, unconditionally.
If that's not love then I don't know what is.

A Malfoy And A Potter
masterlist
pairing: draco malfoy x female potter reader
warnings: fluff, kissing
summary: you and draco have been dating in secret but the secret comes out when you two attend the yule ball together
a/n: i am so sorry i have not posted in forever, i've just been busy with school and work, and trying to catch up on my reading goal for the year! it's almost summer break so i should be posting more again :)
song: sleigh ride - the ronettes
You were currently pushed up against the wall by your boyfriend, Draco Malfoy.
His lips roam the smooth skin of your jaw and throat. Peppering you with loving kisses while you play with his hair.
Both of you are breathing heavy and he brings his lips back up to your mouth as he kisses you. You let out a satisfied hum and put your hands on his chest.
You gently push him back a bit and he looks at you. "What's wrong, love?"
"Someone is going to see us," you whisper.
"Hm, well that sucks for them," he grins and kisses you again.
You push him and laugh, "I guess you're right," you smile.
"They're going to see us when we go to the ball tomorrow night, you do know that, don't you?"
"Well of course, I know that!"
Draco pulls you into his chest and rests his head on yours, "If Potter has a problem with you and me tomorrow, I'll be more than happy to practice some hexes on him," he glides his hand along your waist.
"There will be no practicing hexes, Draco," you pick up his hand and kiss it before walking out of his embrace.
"Boring!"
"Oh, don't be such a baby," you squeeze his cheeks. "Anyway, I'll be off to dinner now, you should come too," you start walking to the great hall and he follows you like a lost puppy.
You go in and sit with Harry, Hermione, and Ron. "Hello," you smile at them.
"Hi, Y/n," Hermione smiles.
"Hey, mate," Ron says.
"Greetings," Harry salutes you. You grin and salute him back.
"So, do you all have your dates?" You ask them. You already knew about Hermione's date, of course, you two are like sisters.
"Er- not exactly," Harry replies scratching the back of his neck.
"Same here," Ron sighs and drops his head onto the table. You cover your mouth to stop your laugh when he groans in pain.
"Welp, you two got under a day left," you clasp your hands.
"What about you?" Ron asks, "I've been wondering if you finally picked someone out of the two hundred people who asked you," he says with amusement.
"Oh don't be silly, Ron, it was not two hundred people!"
"Sorry- two hundred and seven," he corrects.
You roll your eyes, but it was true. You four have literally been tallying how many people have asked you, boys and girls. "Well, yes, I have a date."
"Really? Who?" Hermione asks.
"I suppose you'll have to see tomorrow," you exclaim with a smile.
You were in your room getting ready for the ball, slightly panicking. Hermione was already dressed and now helping you. "Y/n, you don't need to be nervous," she says as she helps with your hair.
"I know but-"
"No buts. You are perfect and you dance amazingly! Your date is very lucky," she smiles.
You relax a bit and look at her through the mirror, "Hermione, have I mentioned how much I love you?"
"Yes, yes you have," she takes her wand to finish your hair. You already did your makeup with some of her assistance. She claps her hands in excitement, "I believe it's time for the dress!"
You pick up the beautiful dark green gown. You had bought Draco a matching tie when you picked the dress out.
You put the dress on and flatten out some wrinkles.
"You look stunning!" Hermione squeals.
"You mean that?"
"Of course! Now, let's head to the ball!" Hermione links her arm with yours. You two make your way to the entrance when you start to panic again. For someone as well known and popular as you, you get social anxiety often.
"You go in first, I'm scared," you bite your lip nervously.
She sighs but nods. She gives you a quick smile with a thumbs up before she heads down the stairs and goes to her date, Viktor Krum. You peak through the curtain to watch. Ron's jaw drops when he looks at her and her date. He looks angry and you could almost laugh.
After pacing for two minutes you decided to just go down. You pull the curtain and try to sneak in without being noticed. Unfortunately, things don't always go the way you want.
There were an absurd amount of gasps as you made your way down the stairs, praying to Merlin that you didn't trip in your heels. The gaping gazes of the people there making you even more nervous.
You see Draco talking with his best friend, Blaise Zabini. Draco listens to his friend talk as he waits for you to arrive. He notices his friends eyes widened as his mouth opens a bit.
He furrows his brows and looks to see everyone staring at something. He looks and his eyes land on you. He feels all the air sucked out of him. He admires you and then snaps out of his trance and makes his way over you, who was smiling at him.
He holds out his hand and you place yours in his. He leans down to your ear and whispers, "I hope you know how ethereal you look, sweetheart," he pulls back and you blush. Another round of gasps fill the room and you hear a, "WHAT?!" You look over and see Harry rushing over to you two, "I- what in Merlin's name are you doing with Malfoy?!"
"Um, he's my date," you say.
Harry's jaw drops as his head goes back between the two of you. You laugh and shake your head.
Draco pulls on your hand, "I would appreciate a dance with my girlfriend while you continue gaping," he places his hand on your lower back and walks you to where people started to dance.
"GIRLFRIEND??!!"

To be clear, I don’t hate the direction Caitlyn’s arc took — rather I hate how it was handled.
Her falling back on her privilege in a state of grief and anger makes sense, and creates a genuinely interesting route for her, which they could have addressed in multiple ways and stuck to the theme of oppression and how Piltover was so quick to switch up at the actions of one Zaunite. I think perhaps it would have worked better initially if Vi’s arc to becoming an enforcer was a season long conflict for her, but other than that, I have no qualms with how Cait’s arc started. The issues begin the further her arc goes along, and it becomes clear, at least to me, that they don’t actually know how to balance making Cait sympathetic/nuanced in her grief, while also still giving her genuine consequences for what she does to Zaun, and the contrast between years of death and hatred causing Zaun to start lashing out at Piltover, vs Caitlyn losing her mother and immediately lashing out against all of Zaun. This isn’t to say her grief is invalid, rather she is hurting and poisoning people over it, whether they be innocent in her eyes or not.
I’ve seen some people say it isn’t that bad because she only targeted gangs or Jinx — her main target — but the fact is gas cannot be controlled like that. It spreads. This is likely the same sort of gas that poisoned Viktor. We know what it does. And hell, the gangs are a product of the system and Piltover’s oppression and ignorance of Zaun, something Arcane acknowledged in season one, and then barely paid mind to in season two.
The fact is, Cait is a privileged cop who causes a rise in violence against Zaunites, and this is only briefly acknowledged in act 3 before we move onto other things. Vi’s confrontation towards her doesn’t feel like a consequence either, because it barely lasts, and Cait’s choices barely have an impact on the story, because even though she and the enforcers plagued Zaun for the first two acts, they still end up joining forces with Piltover, and it feels forced.
Cait simply doesn’t work in season 2, because for her to work, they would have to actively acknowledge the class divide and treatment of those in the Undercity, and season 2 refuses to properly do that, thereby painting Cait in a better light than she should be painted.
#arcane#arcane critical#arcane criticism#it’s frustrating especially because I enjoyed Cait’s character in s1#and I was excited for her arc in s2#I wish she was written better and with more nuance#also if you are genuinely defending Cait flooding parts of the Undercity with gas I’m gonna need you to really think on that for a sec#because what the fuck

•Making Amends
MelJay x reader
Synopsis: You and Jayce just can’t seem to get along and Mel can’t have that.
CW- Jayce&Reader and Mel’s lovers, lowk cringe, alcohol, Mostly Jayce but does have Mel :), hella ooc Jayce, voyeur Mel, a small lil strip scene, sex, multiple positions, edging, masterbation, size kink? (Idk) mentioned like once, feels rushed to me but it was getting to long 😭
A/N- started ts last month and I know this gonna flop 😭
Jayce walked through the tall golden doors that lead to Mel’s room. He held a small prototype he and Viktor had been working on for a while and he wanted to be the first to show it to her. But to his surprise when he walks in there you are in front of Mel sitting pretty on her piano and even more Mel already had the prototype praising you for bringing it to her.
“Well hello Jayce,” Mel gets up patting your thigh before she moves to Jayce giving him a small peck on the cheek. “She was just showing me something you and Viktor have been working on.” She quirks a brow and smirks as she sees you watching them. “Yes, how did you get this?” Jayce asked you, eyeing you up and down as you smiled leaning back giving him a better view of your dress that showed more of your body than cover. “I have my ways.” He should have known Viktor has always had a soft spot for you. He sniffs as he shoves his prototype in his back pocket. “Of course.” He scoffs just before you can bite back at him Mel raises a hand silencing both of you. She walked to the steps that led to her bedroom sitting on them before addressing you two.
“Why is it you two must always bicker when I’m around or even when I’m not.”
Jayce and you both got choked up, glancing at each other before looking back at Mel. “Is it that you two don't like each other? Because we can’t have that”
Jayce raises his eyebrows in surprise, getting ready to answer before you just had to come in and save the day. “Oh no my lady,” you crouch to the ground, grabbing her hand gently. “Don’t you strain yourself with worry, me and Jayce just have a few disagreements he can’t seem to work on.” You clenched your words at the last bit, making Mel wonder. Jayce was infuriated, “You’re just going to act like you don’t start half of the arguments that come about.” Jayce began hounding in on you as you; however you glared at him envy was all that was found in your eyes and maybe a little something else. “How you always try to one up me in front of Mel—“
“That’s quite enough.” Mel put a pause on the explosive argument ahead.
Mel was quite shocked she didn’t even realize the tension that grew between her and her lovers as she was too busy being well, loved.
But when she looked up at both of you it was quite a shock, both of you looked at her in a way she never realized as if she were the sun and moon. And then she realized all those times Jayce presented something before you just for you to present something ten times greater; and so on and so on. Then it clicked that you two were in a competition; for her approval. Her cheeks heated up, she had never felt so wanted in her entire life, her body felt tingling seeing you two stand up in front of her waiting at her beck and call, seeming to do anything she says. “I think I found the best way to solve these disagreements you two have.”
╰─────╯
“You want us to do what?” Jayce was surprised at Mel’s request. “I want you two to make love in front of me. It’s the only thing that will settle this tension. For you to feel each other so intimately it would be out of this world. And also I just want to watch.” She was listing all the facts on why you and Jayce should have sex she looked over to you, quiet as a mouse.
She could practically feel the warmth your body gives off, how your thighs clench whenever she even mentions Jayce fucking you. It seems Jayce hadn’t noticed though, oblivious as always. “What do you think, y/n.” Mel cuts Jayces insistent questions off and all the attention goes to you. Your throat was so dry you didn’t even know if you could speak the syllables all caught up in your mouth, your tongue felt like jelly and an unwelcome heat burned between your thighs.
“Would it make you happy?” Out of everything that has happened today that was what shocked Jayce the most. Mel didn’t even answer you, only standing up and wasting up the steps waiting at the top for her two lovers.
╰─────╯
She held both of your hands as she led you through the candle lit room, following her like Eurydice followed Orpheus but she did not look back leaving her two lovers in an anxious condition. Jayce looked over towards you and saw a woman he’d never seen before. You looked so malleable, so obedient. He looked you up and down wetting his bottom lip before looking in front of him, at Mel.
You had made it to her room. You’d both been in it before just not with each other. You were nervous, stressed and worse of all horny.
You couldn’t believe you were going to let Jayce motherfucking Talis fuck you, the man of progress was about to fuck you. You began to breathe heavily, you concealed your nerves before looking at the other two who sat on a small white couch, Jayce sat up like a prude, legs together back straight, hands in his lap. It would have been funny if it weren’t for the predicament.
Mel handed the male a glass of wine but none for you. You puff at that, putting your arms across your chest. “Y/n doesn’t know how not to be a brat, but” Mel begins glancing at Jayce before looking at you before you could say anything she continues, “She makes up for it, in other ways.” Any words or retaliation you had dissipated as soon as those words left Mel’s mouth.
“Like how she looks when she undresses, Y/N give us a demonstration.” It wasn't you to look at her with wide eyes, it was Jayce. She took another sip looking down at Jayce’s untouched glass. “Drink up Jayce you're gonna need it with this one. She really has no sense of respect.” She laughs seeing you slip the all too tight dress off of your body that Jayce never did appreciate. Your breasts were shown first, nipples already hardened from the cold air and Jayce felt like he’d been sent to heaven, had you always had those?
“Doesn’t she look so pretty?” Mel asked, of course you did, you were more than pretty but saying that would give you an even bigger head so Jayce just sat back, spreading his legs with the top of his button shirt undid he took a sip of his wine only lifting the side of his mouth as his answer. Mel couldn’t help but smile at the little game you had still happened moments before you have intercourse. To connect in such an intimate manner well Mel just couldn’t wait.
You slide it down all the way showing off your bare skin, no underwear. Jayce’s grip got impossibly tight on the glass; he was surprised it didn’t break before he gulped all of its contents. You would wait as long as Mel wanted but you were starting to get bored. “So are we getting started this century. Or does the man of progress need time to y’know progress.” You pointed down before laughing. Mel couldn’t keep a little giggle and Jayce just smiles before getting up leaving his glass on the floor. “You’re right Mel, she really doesn’t have any respect.” Jayce laughed grabbing you by the side of your neck pulling you closer his eyebrows creased upward with a smile, “She’ll get some though.”
╰─────╯
Jayce fucked you hard, your eyes rolled to the back of your head in annoyance and pleasure, he bullied your sweet spot bruising it with such force. A sheer gleam of sweat shines on your skin in the humid room. He squeezes your waist as he drags you back, your smooth skin recoiling with every thrust he delivers. Jayce flicks his tongue, his abs flexing as he holds your back down making your arch higher with one hand and pushing your head down with the other.
Mel watched from across the room a devious smirk on her face as she watched the mean strokes Jayce gives you. How your bodies mold together as he fucks you, your hips rolling back every so often; you can peak up through the mattress looking up through wet lashes at the watching woman. She couldn’t lie and say this is the wettest she’s ever been her two lovers fucking as she gawks at them in the most intimate ways.
You reach out for Mel, crying out for her. “Mel, M–Mel,” you squeak with every thrust delivered to your pussy. The Medarda looked in wonder as you cried out for her whimpering and whining like a puppy that had just been kicked, how that made Jayce go even faster as if he was punishing you for even speaking. She’d never seen this version of either of you. Jayce always touched her as if she were delicate, soft just how she liked it with him. And you well you were like a hound dog when you got her in bed. Never had she seen you in such a mess, palming the bedsheets, clenching your jaws to keep the screams of ecstasy at bay in the back of your throat. Tears drenched your face, lips quivering as you still cried out for her. Your cries and whines were only drowned out by Jayce’s degrading words. “Always acting like a fucking bitch, your my bitch now aren’t you?”
She gets up from her seat setting her wine glass down the glass clicking against the table just as her heels clink against the floor as she drags her feet to be in front of you. She lifts your face, cradling your cheeks, wiping your drenched cheeks. “Why are you crying for me dear?” She asked in faux concern Jayce fucking you with so much force you swished back and forth. “I’m not the one fucking you.” She said watching you slip into a chaotic storm of ecstasy. Your eyes rolled to the back of your skull, you couldn’t hold the screams in anymore as desperate pleas for him to stop, go, harder, slower. You didn’t even know what you wanted.
Jayce slowed squishing you into the mattress with his body mass, calloused hands finding their way between your legs immediately latching to the little bud. Your legs buckle trying to move your hips but Jayce is too big. He could squish you to death and you both knew it which was what made it so much more hot. His breath fanned the back of your neck, worked up sweat dripped from both of your sticky skin stuck together as he played with your cunt. “Make up your mind, y/n” he spoke in a harsh tone as if he was scolding you. It made your pussy flex.
He stopped playing with you for a second, his pupils dilated, and got impossibly hard. You liked being told what to do, you like him telling you what to do. Getting up you gasped in full gasps of air just for them to be knocked out by Jayce’s full force thrust. You cried out in pleasure looking up at Mel who had watched the whole thing face flustered and legs intertwined. You smile as Jayce pulls you up on his cock, changing the angle of his cock in you it was so heavenly. He held you in place with his arm across your throat making sure you could breath before fucking you without remorse.
“Don’t cum until he tells you.” Mel whispers trying not to lose composure. You listen to her trying to hold the crashing waves of pleasure back as hard as you can. But it’s not easy with Jayce fucking you harder than anyone has every, and you love it. You looked over at Mel. She was disheveled as if she needed just a little push over the edge. You hold onto Jayce’s forearm as he bounces you on his cock his tip hitting your cervix every single time. “Mel,” you whined, the woman’s eyes caught yours full of lust, “Please touch yourself for us.” You say grabbing Jayce’s hand from your hip. “Please, Mel.” Jayce spoke softly looking through puppy dog eyes as if he wasn’t fucking you no mercy.
Mel couldn’t take it anymore she grabbed her dress , shoving it up just enough for her to touch her bare cunny. Her legs spread wide when she touched herself circling her clit in the same manner Jayce did yours. Simultaneously you both arch your back when she slips her fingers in pumping them in and out in and out just as Jayce fucks you. Taking the arms from around your knock Jayce grabs both of your hands pulling you closer to him. “Cum with her.” He whispers and you only nod fucking your hips back against his.
Mel quickened her movement. She was close you could tell by the way her legs contorted and she squirmed. You couldn’t hold it in much longer, you didn’t just want her to cum you needed her to. “Please Mel, please cum.” You spoke in a small voice. You sounded so desperate, so needy, she couldn’t help herself as she came around her fingers white cream surrounded her fingers as she rode her high out on her fingers drenching them in her essence. As soon as Mel came it was like a dam broke within you.
It all came crashing down on you like acid rain your skin burned when you came, wet hot liquid squirting out of you wetting yours and Jayce’s thighs. Jayce came with you as your pussy walls contracted against him, milking him for all his worth. He couldn’t keep the whimpers he held back during sex in while he came and it made you feel something you couldn’t expect.
Jayce fell on his back shocked at what had just transversed. “He didn’t think I would only last one round did he?” You asked Mel who only giggled caressing your cheeks. “Oh I don’t think he knows what he’s gotten himself into.” Mel says as she begins to strip down to her undergarments; her house colors. Jayce only now looks up as he watches you both crawl towards him like wolves hunting their prey.
“Gods help me.”

Jayce "Man of Progress" Talis is contacted by a Piltover fashion magazine, asking him to pose for a special photograph spread along with Mel Medarda.
He’s been interviewed and had his photo taken so many times by this point. He’s usually alone. The addition of Mel is interesting, and he can admit a bit exciting too.
But it’s also frustrating—why would they ask him to pose with Mel, but not his literal partner on the actual project?!
So he agrees, but under one condition: “You need to include Viktor, as well.”
After he receives confirmation, he takes to begging Viktor to join them. Just this once! And Viktor reluctantly agrees, weak for his friend’s pouty, puppy dog eyes.
The magazine sends designers to Viktor’s place to take his measurements. It’s a bit uncomfortable, but thankfully one of the them is knowledgable about fitting disabled models. So he’s (mostly) okay with it.
When the three of them arrive for the photoshoot, they’re impressed with what the designers created. For Jayce are outfits that show off his wide shoulders, strong arms and thighs. Meanwhile Mel’s prominent curves and her beautiful, slender neck is highlighted.
As for Viktor, the designers work with his sharp, angular features and slender waist. One outfit in particular has Viktor raising an eyebrow: It’s backless. They’ve decked out his back brace with gilded gold and blue gems.
A month later, the magazine is released—and the public goes absolutely wild.
The front cover has Jayce sitting in the middle, wearing a crisp white shirt with half its buttons undone, possessively holding the other two’s hips. Mel is facing forward, bracketing one of his legs. She wears a tight dress that leaves little to the imagination. One of her arms reaches around Jayce’s head, clasping Viktor’s shoulder.
With his back to the camera, Viktor’s brace is on full display. He’s partially sitting on Jayce’s other leg, with his arm angled as if he’s about to caress the other’s man’s cheek, glancing at the camera out of the corner of his eye.
The photo had been quite awkward to put together—Viktor winces at the memory—but he has to admit it turned out pretty incredible. And yeah, Piltover definitely agrees.
Viktor’s name, at least for a moment in time, is on the public’s lips almost as much as the other two. Who knew the reclusive scientist from Zaun was this beautiful?!
News articles and opinion pieces pop up about him, wondering why Viktor isn’t featured more. Men and women alike faun over his high cheekbones, pretty golden eyes, and slim body.
Viktor is full of embarrassment from all the attention. The other two tease him about it a bit, but they know he has every right to retreat back into the lab if he prefers. So he does. He lets the other two burn as brightly as they want, and slinks back into the shadows.
But he still keeps a copy of the magazine in his nightstand. You know, for archiving purposes. Or posterity. Or something like that.
Sometimes, on days he’s feeling down or in more pain than usual, he takes it out and flips through the pages. Reminds himself that yeah, he looked good. And other people had thought so too. Even Jayce had blushed slightly when he saw Viktor walk out of the dressing room.
Viktor probably won’t do anything like it again. But he’s oddly glad he did. Just this once.

Please accept this silly little drabble I wrote last minute! PLEASE REBLOG AND COMMENT IF YOU ENJOYED! I imagine this story takes place in the early years of Jayce and Viktor’s lab partnership. The story inspired by this incredible meljavik art by @lucinfernos! My bi ass can’t stop looking at it lol

an artists muse- a viktor fic.
one.
[intro] [one] [two]
a paradox of fate.
“Shit, shit!” You muttered under your breath as your feet quickly rushed across the college campus. Repeatedly checking the time on your phone along with your lockscreen that was a picture of your schedule. You were over five minutes late due to your ignorance in paying attention to the clock whilst completing applications for part time jobs.
Your hands collide with the door to your class, slamming it open. Earning awareness from all eyes in the room. Your cheeks flush in embarrassment. “I- sorry! I lost track of time!” You pant, shakily walking inside. Your professor has a gentle smile upon his lips. “It’s quite alright, dear! Find a seat, it’s the first day so no harm done!” He waves off your tardiness, relief sighing out your body.
Your eyes scan the room, hoping to see someone familiar but no luck. Instead you lock contact with a boy who sends chills down your spine. His gaze pierced into you. His brunette locks falter into his vision when he attempts to glance away. You deem him nice-enough looking and make your way beside him.
His shoulders tense, not expecting someone to choose to sit next to him. Not when there were multiple other choices to choose from. He figures you only did so because he looks smart. Conjecturing that you could cheat off of him.
“Did I miss anything important?” You lean close to him, not too close to where you were in his personal space though. It was enough that your scent hit his nose like a ton of bricks. Vanilla and honey? A hint of coconut in there as well?
He doesn’t look at you, staring straight at the board. “No, just an introduction of himself.” He whispers, leaning his chin on his clasped hands, held up by his elbows. You purse your lips out, almost frowning. “Introductions are important.” You murmur but it was inaudible to his ears.
When class is dismissed you’re the first one to stand from your seat. Just like you entered the room is exactly how you left. Flinging the heavy doors open and scurrying to the school’s cafeteria. “[Name]! Over here!” A blue-haired girl loudly shouts, standing from a chair as her boyfriend behind her was quietly begging her to get down. You laugh, waving at her. You join the two, sitting down as your chest is still heaving.
“I was late to my first class! What a way to start the semester.” You pout, stealing a sip of Ekko’s drink since it was the only thing on the table. He went to stop you but he knows he’d lose the argument against you. “Hah! Really? Me too!” Powder, your best friend laughs.
“We’re like platonic soul mates!” You beam, grabbing her hand. She squeezes it, getting in close to your face. “Why platonic? We could be romantic!” She scrunches her nose with determination. You roll your eyes as Ekko clears his throat, reminding the both of you that he still sat there. “Right… boyfriend.” Her face goes sour in a playful manner, leaning back on her boyfriend. “Just kidding, just kidding…” She kisses his cheek causing you to gag at the sight.
“Gross.”
“You’re just jealous.” He points a finger in your face. “Whatever.” You sulk.
“Oh, I have to get to my next class. Don’t want to be late a second time.” Powder shoots up, pecking Ekko’s lips and then ruffling your hair before sprinting off.
Ekko and you look around, pretending to act awkward. “So…” He begins. “So.” You repeat shortly. “We’re going to have a sleepover tonight, you comin?” He tilts his head. Your eyes sparkle at the question. “Uh! Of course!!! Powder and I will beg Vi for drugs.” You blurt out, a little too loud. People look over and you just chuckle.
Ekko shakes his head, “I don’t think she’s going to after the last time she got you alcohol.” He presses his lips together in a straight line. “Psshhh, we didn’t even cause that bike to explode.” You say while avoiding eye contact, knowing for a fact that it was the both of you.
“I can convince Vi, she loves me!”
“I know she does but ah, whatever. You’re going to do it anyway.” He stops himself from lecturing you, you nod in response. “Exactly.

————————————————
“Please, please, please, PLEASE!!!” You and Powder are currently on your knees, begging the pink-haired girl in front of the both of you. Arms folded and an eyebrow raised. “Guys-”
“Puh-LEASE!” You interrupt before she can say no.
“[Name]-” “VIOLET PLEASE!!” You cry out dramatically. Powder giving her sister puppy-dog eyes. “If you would listen for a second!!!” She smacks a hand over your mouth. “I was going to say you could have my left over vodka that’s in my mini-fridge.” She points over to the black appliance. Both of your faces fall momentarily before Powder goes to the fridge, snatching the clear and blue glass bottle.
You stand up, embracing Vi. “I love you.” You mutter in her ear, following Powder out of the dorm, yelling ‘thank you’s.’
“The party’s here!!” Powder bursts into the three boys’ shared apartment, holding up the bottle of vodka like simba from the lion king.
They cheer, Claggor taking the bottle and putting it in a bucket of ice they have. Beers from their last hang out in the ice. You also brought three boxes of pizza, sitting it on the stove. “I also brought my wii and just dance. We are going to get so wasted.” You announce excitedly.
“Don’t you have a class in the morning?” Mylo prompts, and you just ignore him.
“I’ll hook this up while you guys get some food.” You say, the short brunette scoffing at your rudeness of not replying to him.

So this just came to me and I'm fucking giggling
(Fair warning, I haven't tried to actively write since I was like 14? So it's probably gonna be shit, also Jayce and Viktor will probably be ooc sorry yall)
Jayvik x reader, but jayvik was pre established, so reader is getting used to the previous dynamic quirks. One being that when Jayce says something stupid or lies, Viktor thwacks him with his cane (not too hard, just enough for it to make noise)
I imagine reader is doing something super emotional (talking to a grave of dead relatives is what I pictured idk why roll with me here lol)
Jayce and Viktor follow her and it goes something like this
"an-and I just, fuck! I miss you both! Everything is so much worse-"
A familiar sound of twig snapping comes from behind where you're sitting on a rock, centered between two graves. Quickly snapping your head behind you to see the cause of the noise, you notice Jayce and Viktor..? The former hiding behind a comically small tree, very obviously ease dropping and Viktor is standing right next to him, out in the open. Seemingly waiting for you to be done.
Quickly standing up and wiping your face to hopefully rid the evidence of you crying. You whip around to face them,
"Did you two fucking follow me out here?" You spit out, rubbing at your itchy eyes
"No-!" "Yes."
Viktor and Jayce reply at the same time, the former glancing at Jayce with a raised brow. Barely a second later you hear a distinct thwack! And Jayce yelping.
You quit rubbing your eyes at the sound and look at the two men with an incredulous look
Jayce begins rubbing the back of his head and mumbling something you can't quite catch. Viktor looking back between you and Jayce calmly says
"do not lie to her. There's no reason to, she's already caught us anyway, Jayce."
Jayce continues to mumble things you can't hear. Glancing between the two you ask,
"how much of that did you hear?"
"None of it." "Eh, Most of it."
You giggle as you hear Another resounding thwack! As Viktor again, smacks Jayce with his cane
"what did I just say about lying to her?" Viktor shakes his head
Jayce begins to quickly explain, rubbing the back of his head
"We were... worried. We heard from Councilor Kiramman that you'd be out this way for the day with little to no explanation. We just wanted to make sure you were safe-"
Viktor cuts in
"We weren't actively trying to ease drop... We just didn't want to uh.. disturb you during something that seemed important."
You nod in understanding "I get that, but next time let me know that you're following me. You scared the shit out of me."
Viktor nods and Jayce awkwardly chuckles with an apologetic smile, "Let's get home before it's gets dark, that sound ok?" Jayce asks softly, hand outstretched, along with Viktora for you to take
"yeah. That sounds ok." You say with nod, grab both of their hands and begin walking back to your dorm.
