I remember seeing a post where someone put some of the straw hats on other pirates crews,

luffy - shanks

Nami - Buggy

Sanji - Zeff (nothing changed)

Usopp - ??? I don’t remember

it just remind me of that seeing Nami interact with buggy

what I was thinking tho — what would make Nami join him is she steals her nerves enough pretending to get ready to shoot luffy with the buggy ball but all the canon does is break the cage and free Luffy and Nami thinks cause Buggy is going to go on the grand line she can hang with him instead of Luffy. Nami has all intentions that she’s going to double cross buggy but she keeps learning more about Buggy’s past and if Buggy ever mentions he wants the one piece she doesn’t believe him the way she would if it was Luffy but he shows her he’s crazy enough to actually be able to do it maybe she will indulge him for a bit longer she tells herself.

Nami has no intention of Buggy getting to know her but maybe stuff slips out and or Buggy sees her reacting to an arlong bounty picture and Buggy is to assume Nami knows Arlong some how and he wants to know about it cause Arlong is a big name pirate so Buggy needs to know what is one of Arlong’s doing here? His first reaction is she’s trying to double cross him (not for the reasons she was trying to double cross him) or that she’s trying to take him down cause Arlong sees Buggy as a threat for some reason and Nami ends up telling him a lie to get him off her case and saying she ran away from him or something.

a lot of dancing over issues but eventually Buggy finds out what’s going on and he just doesn’t tell her he knows, what Arlong is having her do. However eventually if Nami wants to suddenly up and leave or tried to ditch them Buggy is going to follow her or make her lead him to Arlong.

Nami would think she doesn’t believe Buggy could defeat Arlong so when Buggy is defeated she can say “it was part of the plan” when it actually would not be, but Buggy wouldn’t get defeated by Arlong that’s just a what if scenario in her head

I have no idea what kind of plan Buggy has but if Luffy doesn’t take care of it Buggy will fall upwards and claim he did it on purpose to free Nami or something

cause I don’t want Luffy to be there cause if he doesn’t know Nami like that why would he even go to Arlong park?

Buggy doing this for Nami regardless of if he meant to or not makes Nami see pirates different however I feel like Nami would have this “YOUR JUST A DIRTY PIRATE” relationship with Buggy often still referring to him as “your kind” even after joining his crew.

I can see Nami with Buggy at impel down helping Luffy I really can see Nami as Buggy pirate with her original design with the robot arm and the giant axe cause didnt that guy on Roger’s crew, Gaban? Have two axes? Maybe Buggy knows how to fight with axes and teaches Nami.

Nami fits in with Cabji and Moji very well, I can see her knocking them on their head’s vividly.

Nami and Alvida is another story though I feel like Nami could get along with her, Nami wouldn’t trust her at all at first but they would grow to appreciate each other probably idk much about Alvida
