Elenis#Supreme Court#Lorie Smith#Discrimination#Homophobia#a reminder too that this homophobic website designer#using her faith to cloak her bigotry#never actually received a request from a same-sex couple to make a wedding website for them#the entire crux of the case#To Reiterate:#this woman went through a 7 year long legal battle over a HYPOTHETICAL situation that hadn't yet occurred#because she lived in a state (Colorado) with robust civil rights protections#her ''rights'' were never violated - it was purely preemptive#she was just a pet case funded by far-right religious-based homophobic organizations#in order to get Something to the currently loaded supreme court#so they could bulldoze Civil Rights for queer people#and predictably the Trump Supreme Court happily obliged
