Andromeda 6 Headcanon - Poltergeist
Alright, this is just a dumb idea that struck me when listening to scary stories on Youtube the other night. How our crew would deal with living in a haunted home. I wrote a little bit for a rather harmless ghost when their living alone and a bit more vicious ghost if they live together with the traveler. I hope some people enjoy this even though it’s a weird one^^
( @spiritaed-kth this is probably not the kind of headcanon you were missing in this fandom, I’m sorry, it’s just what my heatfried mind came up with. Maybe I’ll get around to writing something more serious at some point, or better yet, someone with some sense will^^)
June: At first he would try to find rational explanations for what’s going on. Once he can’t explain it away he would start to research the history of the place. Since most ghost-backstories are rather tragic he would probably feel bad for the ghost because June is the kindest being in existence. So whenever the ghost smashed something he would be like “I understand your frustration, what happened to you was horrible and I am deeply sorry you had to go through it.” If the start of this haunting was an unsolved crime he would probably jump into detective mode. Because his ghost deserves some closure. Yes, it’s his ghost now, and don’t you dare disrespect his new metaphysical roommate.
If he’s living with you and things get out of hand, that’s a whole different matter. If you got spooked and you weren’t yet sure what exactly is going on he would stay up with the light on and guard your sleep. And if anything happened to you, like weird unexplained scratch marks or getting pulled out of bed or something like that, he would not allow you to sleep in that house anymore. “I know you love this place, so I’ll let you decide. If you want to, we’ll try to get rid of this… thing. Or we’ll find another place. And I promise you, we’d find something just as perfect. Better even, something without a ghost,” he’d tell you, clasping your hands. He’d lean towards the second option though, because he does not want you to get hurt.
Cal: Here’s one deeply rational man. And headstrong, too. So whatever ghost had to share a space with him would have to pull all registers to even get Cal to acknowledge that something weird is going on. Once he had to notice it he would be totally sure that it’s just Aya and Bash pulling an elaborate prank on him. And even when it becomes clear that it can’t be them, Cal would try everything to ignore the otherworldly out of existence. Imagine one of those ghost movie moments where all the drawers open and slam shut repeatedly and Cal would just sit there, reading the paper and mutter under his breath about the damn draft in this place.
If it’s your shared home and you start getting scared, he’d try everything to calm you down. Like search the whole house after some weird noises at night to make sure that there is nothing there. If you got harmed, he’d still try to explain it rationally: “Maybe I scratched you accidentally or… maybe you’re sleepwalking? People get up to all sorts of stuff when sleepwalking. I’ll look into that, alright? And I’ll stay up next night. I won’t let anything happen to you, I promise,” he’d tell you with a soft kiss to your forehead. He’d have a hard time accepting the truth but keeping you safe wins over his unwillingness to do so. So after that he’d start looking into ways to get rid of whatever is haunting your home, because he definitely isn’t going to give the place up. It’s what you picked out together and he also is determined to prove to you that he can keep you safe, even if it means going up against this.
Damon: As an assassin, Damon is very perceptive and would notice strange happenings in his house immediately. Also he loves cats and, as we know from the movies, cats can sense weird shit, so his guard is up as soon as one of the cats he’s bound to have at some point starts repeatedly hissing at things he can’t see. If it weren’t for his cats he wouldn’t even mind the odd misplaced thing or the door slamming and stuff. But if this entity scares his pets, that’s it. He’d start bringing books home (like “How to evaporate a ghost for Dummies”) for research reasons and will let them lie around threateningly and eventually casually tell the ghost: “We can do this the easy way and you just leave, or we can do this the hard way. You choose.”
With you around he would probably make fun of you a bit for getting scared. “You share a bed with an assassin, but you get spooked by Casper? Come on,” he’d say and poke your cheek. His mood would change if you actually got harmed. He’s confident that he can take this thing on. If it thinks being already dead will stop him from killing it again, it thought wrong. Because he won’t allow anything to harm the one he loves. How well that goes… well, it depends. There is a definite possibility of you coming home one day to complete mayhem, the whole house being a mess and the trashcan being on fire and a roughed up Damon would tell you: “I handled it, Your Highness. You’re welcome.”
Bash: He is already on guard on the first sign of things being off. He has seen all the scary movies, he knows how this ends. Something moves without having any business doing so? Call the ghostbusters because he is so not dealing with this. Or even better yet, he’d move. The ghost was there first, it can have the house. He’d also try to be very polite every step of the way, because you don’t want to anger supernatural things. Going in to get his stuff like “Uh, hello, Mr. Ghost? Or Miss? Mrs. Ghost? I’m just here to pick up my things. Don’t mind me, haha, I’ll be gone in a second! So sorry to disturb you!”
In his case if anything it’s you making fun of him for freaking out so much and you would have to influence him to stay. And he would be exasperated if you really wanted that. “Look, I really wouldn’t mind having a cute little house ghost. But in almost every ghost story things don’t get better, they get worse, and I really don’t want to test out that theory, you know?” He’d try to be brave for you, but the breaking point for him would be if you woke up with bruises or something. Being a bit scared he can handle, but this… “I would protect you with my life, but I don’t know how to fight something I can’t see. So please, please, let’s just move.” If you agree to move, he’d be so relieved he’d pick you up and spin you around before giving you a kiss and thanking you multiple times.
Ryona: She does not suffer bullshit. Generally she would treat the problem like some other people treat spiders: without any fondness, but as long as they stay in the ceiling corners, they are tolerated. So, as long as the ghost doesn’t cause too much trouble, she’s alright with it. But if it started messing with her belongings, she would get really worked up. And if anybody in the system could get a ghost to leave a premises just by being super cross with it, it would be Ryona. Just imagine her standing over a shattered flowerpot, her most disapproving look on her face, pointing a finger at the empty room: “That’s it! You can be insolent and petty if you wish so, but I strongly advise you be it somewhere else. Because if you touch my plants again I’m going to make your afterlife very uncomfortable!”
While Ryona would get mad if the ghost messed with her plants, it would get tenfold worse if it messed with you. She’s the one with whom the situation probably couldn’t escalate all the way to the ghost physically harming you. As soon as the entity got decidedly aggressive and destructive in behaviour, she would put an end to it. Not just the behaviour, the whole entity. She’d put hours into research, and you would come home one day to the whole place smelling of sage and being immaculately cleaned and she’d greet you with the brightest smile and a kiss: “I’m in a good mood, do you want to go out? Also, I took care of that insufferable pest, it won’t bother us again.”
Aya: At first, much like Cal, she thinks it’s just a prank, and she would retaliate hard. Poor Bash wouldn’t even know what hit him, especially since he’s innocent this time. After they worked out that it isn’t him, he’s convinced that her home is haunted and she thinks it’s hilarious, because ghosts, pfft, as if. She’d treat the whole thing like a huge joke. She’d probably give a name to the ghost, too. When people are over and a door slams or something shatters or the temperature drops and people got weirded out, Aya would just be like “Oh, that’s just Gertrude, my poltergeist. She’s a riot.” After a while, she’d start talking to Gertrude in some situations, too, like: “Darn it, Gertrude, have you seen my keys?” or “Be a darling and water the plants while I’m gone, will you?” (all of Aya’s plants are probably dead or on the way there. Just like Gertrude.)
If it’s the two of you sharing your home with this and you got scared, Ayame would still manage to get you to laugh with her reactions to the situation. She would keep her humour even if things got more dangerous. If this entity did something like scratch you, Aya would loudly declare to your bedroom: “Really, Gertrude? That’s what you’re into? I’m shocked! I mean, I’m not kink-shaming, but go and get your own lover, you can’t have mine.” Since she has a kind of fitful sleep and has kicked you in her sleep before, she at first thinks it might have really been her who did that to you and she would feel pretty bad about it. But once it get’s clear that that isn’t the case, she would address you with a heavy sigh: “Darling, as much as it pains me to say, but I think we might have to get rid of Gertrude.”
Vexx: Cue the chaos. Because Vexx is always up for an adventure and has no common sense whatsoever. He’d invite everyone over for horror movie night and have the time of his life when his friends get scared because there are weird noises in the house and wait, why are the curtains moving when no window is open? He does not really believe that there’s a ghost. Still, he suggests using an Ouija board, because you should try everything in your lifetime, right? He’d be a bit freaked out if it works, because he was planning on staging it to frighten his friends some more and then it actually works? There is a ghost? But he wouldn’t be too scared, instead he’s all for investigating a bit, finding out where the ghost came from and documenting everything paranormal activity style.
If you’re around he’d act much in the same way. Only that you now have to star in his videos and have to put up with him sometimes scaring you on purpose. To be honest, he kind of enjoys it when you get a bit scared and he can be your protector. He’d also drag you into his investigation and as long as things wouldn’t get out of hand it would actually be fun. If the ghost got more physical, Vexx would still joke around a bit: “Damn, do you think we got to the stage where we have to fuck the ghost to appease it? Because that is not a threesome I ever imagined myself getting into.” But he’d sober up quickly, especially if you don’t go along with his jokes: “You know we don’t have to stay here, right, Highness? Just say the word and we’ll be out of here,” he’d tell you, carefully brushing your hair back.

The ship ask for Kairi/Umika and Kairi/Keichiro
I’m unfortunately someone who doesn’t ship Kairi/Keiichiro, meaning that (in the same fashion as Sougo/Geiz), I have a hard time envisioning ship-related headcanons and whatnot. Even so, I do feel bad for having to turn down some ships, so here’s a link to my tokusatsu ship list for future reference. I do hope someone else will share their W Red headcanons for you to enjoy!
But as for Kairi/Umika, I’m very happy to oblige! This ship was my first love for LuPato, after all ^-^
Gives nose/forehead kisses:
Forehead kisses courtesy of Kairi Yano. Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about Kairi/Umika, and I came to the conclusion that Kairi has experience in relationships, even if they were flings - and that means he is an experienced kisser. Okay, this has no relation to him kissing Umika on the forehead but nevertheless it takes her breath away. Kairi doesn’t show his deeper, more “vulnerable” emotions as much, so these hold a lot of value
Gets jealous the most:
Kairi. Not that it happens a lot, but pre-relationship he’s wedged himself in between Sakuya and Umika when the former gets a bit too strong, and he might’ve split some actual salt as a male customer attempted to get Umika’s phone number
But seriously speaking, he wouldn’t interfere if 1) he knows Umika can handle it 2) Umika has feelings for the guy and 3) Kairi wants to be a troll
Once they do enter a relationship, they’ve got nothing to worry about in terms of romantic rivals
Takes care of on sick days:
They interchange. Kairi will crack a couple of jokes but he gets medicine and water and some pudding for her to have so she can get better. Umika focuses on bringing down his temperature via ice packs on the head and warm blankets
Drags the other person out into the water on beach day:
Kairi. He will splash her to provoke her and/or picks her up and throws her into the sea. She will try to water slap him afterwards XD
Brings the other lunch at work:
Kairi, albeit Umika’s in university. Kairi’s just starting to figure out what he wants to do with his life (in my personal canon I’m thinking of photographer) so he still has a lot of time on his hands
Embarrassingly drunk dancer:
Kairi has the third highest alcohol tolerance in the main crew so he will take videos of people’s drunk antics - yes, of course that includes Umika. She doesn’t dance as a commonplace drunk antic (that’s for Noel and Sakuya) but she does whine and ramble. Whether she’s calmed down or not, Kairi will get her to go home by taxi - or by his motorcycle if he remained sober
Firmly believes in couples costumes:
Not costumes but couple items - that’s Umika. Just small things like a matching jacket/hoodie and some similar accessories. Kairi doesn’t voice any complaints about that
Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas:
I envision that Kairi comes from a “poorer” family (middle class poor) while Umika is from a slightly richer family as part of my headcanons, though she seems conscious of financial management if her shared episode with Noel was any indication. Umika at least did this once by getting Kairi a high quality camera and he ended up using it all the time :)
He repaid the favour by getting her actual jewelry and not the kind from cheap street stalls later on
But for 2019, it’s Touma’s wedding so the two of them go out of their way to get him something good because he deserves it and as much as they tease him/argue with him/etc., they’re happy that he can be with Aya again
Makes the other eat breakfast:
Umika. I figure that Kairi often skips breakfast. She did this more when they lived in the bistro together
Remembers anniversaries:
Both, though Kairi looks at the bigger ones (birthdays, the day he lost Shori, the day he found his brother again) while Umika looks at the big and small occasions (Shiho’s manga debut, Kairi coming back from his trip round Japan, etc.). They start doing this properly after they assembled the Lupin Collection and their lives return to (somewhat) normal + they now know when the other person’s birthday is
Brings up having kids first:
The farthest I’ve envisioned for these two is dating…which is kinda funny to me, because Keiichiro isn’t as forthright as Kairi would be in terms of physical affection, and yet both of my Keiichiro ships already have him thinking about marriage
Basically nope, we don’t need to think about this yet
Kills the bugs:
Kairi. I bet he’d do that annoying thing where he picks up the bug and waves it in front of Umika’s face. It’s the kind of behaviour my dad engages in and he’s got the prank level of Kairi
First to define them as a couple:
Umika figures by the second kiss they share that Kairi isn’t going to openly say “we’re dating” - but that doesn’t mean they’re not dating. Their first kiss was probably the first step into their official relationship
I’m pretty much writing a fic about this so that’s some self promo ^w^
Who hides their guilty pleasures longer:
Kairi is a complicated case because he’s transparent but at the same time, he’s got a lot underneath the surface. I guess I’d have to hand this one to Umika, but I’m not sure what she’d hide
Snorts while laughing:
Kairi, mostly when someone is doing something ludicrous and/or stupid
Thank you for the ask!

Heaven Hell AU, includes character occupations, weapons if they use any, their placements (as in devil or angel), and how the AU forms
DISCLAIMER I am not a religious person so this has nothing to do with biblical angels etc, this is just me talking about demons and angels in the sense of the assassin’s creed characters
Under Cutline
Angels
· Aya/Amunet, highest archangel, representation of God as she makes all final decisions among the council of high-ranking angels, fights with lightning infused daggers
· Bayek, archangel, second in command, first in command to shield “God” from attacks, large shield to cover both him and “God”, uses a sickle sword that drains life upon impact that goes to those behind his shield
· Adéwalé, archangel, warden over captured demons and angels that have been acting defiant toward “God”, determines their punishment, fights with a set of rings that allow him to use energy to harm or heal those he directs his hands at, helps him maintain power over prisoners
· Kassandra, “guardian” angel, bounty hunter, rescues souls from Hell, watches over the messenger angels to ensure “Deimos” doesn’t attempt to kill them while they travel between Heaven and Hell, uses a flaming spear head to fight
· Stentor, guardian angel, watches over mortals alongside Connor
· Connor, guardian angel, watches over the mortal world (those which we would refer to as the modern-day assassins Desmond, Layla, Bishop, Shaun, Rebecca, etc) to ensure they remain on the right track to Heaven, does not use weapons
· Altair, guardian angel, protects gates of Heaven, used to bring chosen souls from Hell to Heaven but was tired of being nearly drowned by Edward, uses a sword of light
· Ziio, guardian angel, helps Altair protect the gates, provides her son Connor with wisdom on how to determine what to do with those he protects, uses a golden spear
· Henry, scribe, records all information on what goes on in council meetings and puts the information in scrolls in Heaven’s library
· Malik, wounded by Deimos, who tore a wing from him as one last horrendous act before being exiled, spends his time now in the library with Henry
· Arno, messenger (I know, poor taste, I did this on purpose), brings messages between Heaven and Hell and other outposts in between, usually picked on by the hellions that guard the gates of Hell when he delivers the letters, carries a small blade with him
· Shao Jun, Nikolai, Arbaaz, messengers, rescue souls from Hell’s wastelands, also provide quick mental messages to mortals (voice of God so to speak)
· Elise, former soul lost to Hell, one of the last souls Altair rescued before quitting, spends her time studying the mortal and celestial lore, hopes to soon become an archangel like Kassandra and recue souls
· Achilles, currently training Elise as he did Connor, makes sure she keeps up with her studies and remains far from a darker future
Devils
· Alexios/Deimos, made himself ruler of Hell after Aya kicked him out of Heaven for disobeying her orders despite his sister telling him not to, loss of halo allowed his horns to begin sprouting, feathers on wings are turning grey from years out of holy light, forces those under him to refer to him as Deimos, uses fiery chains to fight
· Ezio, incubus, always standing next to Deimos’ throne on the left when in Hell, used to sway the thoughts of mortals through seduction to collect souls for Deimos’ “collection”
· Aveline, succubus, always standing next to Deimos’ throne on the right when in Hell, used to sway the thoughts of angels and convert them to Deimos’ side through seduction, purely to piss off Aya
· Evie, gatekeeper of Hell, has stayed unswaying loyal to Deimos until she had a close encounter with Kassandra, being so taken aback by her power that she let her take Edward out of pure shock that she was so strong, uses cane sword to fight
· Jacob, gatekeeper of Hell, pesters Arno when he delivers letters to and from Hell, used to have odd rambling conversations with Edward that would drive Evie insane, fights with spiked titanium knuckles
· Edward, “sea devil”, once was chained to the seafloor and would drag angels trying to rescue souls under the water and hold them down until they released the soul, forcing them to leave the soul behind or drown and be claimed by Hell, after a struggle with Kassandra she tore him from his chains and had him imprisoned, greatly angering Deimos
· Yusuf, a trickster devil, mirrors the forms of those in front of him, acts more as a spy for Deimos to see through his eyes
· Haytham, warden of the lost souls in Hell’s wasteland, also a fallen angel though he has been in Hell longer so his wings are nearly bare of feathers at this point, is supposed to ensure no angels take souls from Hell and revive them to a holy world, fights with a scythe
· Shay, former prisoner of the sea that would perform the same jobs as Edward, was defeated by a combination of Altair and Malik and has been imprisoned in a cell in Heaven since before Alexios was made Deimos as Adéwalé doesn’t trust him enough to release him yet
Story So Far
Essentially what happened was Alexios disagreed with Aya’s ruling that certain people are unredeemable and do not deserve a chance at a secure, safe afterlife in Heaven. She told him to watch his tongue around her as her decision is final, he said, essentially, “to hell with your opinion, what makes you any more important than us?” Kassandra told him to sit down and that he needed to stop, but Aya decided he had already gone to far and sent Adéwalé and Bayek out to apprehend him from the crowd. Fearing for his life, Alexios took off, but Altair and Malik went to stop him as the soldiers they were, but Alexios lashed out, savagely wounding Malik, Altair rushing to aid Malik and bring him to safety. Bayek tore Alexios’ halo from him while Adéwalé held Kassandra back from trying to stop Bayek out of fear for her brother’s life.
After being cast down to Hell, Alexios chose to rename himself Deimos as to leave his old life behind. He found that Hell was lacking a leader of any kind and chose to make himself their leader as he, having training from the archangels, was stronger than the other hellish beings and easily could overpower each of them. The demons gladly accepted this fallen archangel as their leader and introduced themselves to him. Deimos had to wait by the murky sea to meet Edward, and quickly befriended the strange man as he had spent his entire life chained to the literal lowest region on Earth and Deimos had just passed his lowest point. However, years later, Kassandra sent herself down to see what she could do about Edward after Altair quit rescuing souls for fear that Edward was actually going to drown him one of the times. Evie and Jacob noticed Kassandra fly in alongside Arno, so Jacob stayed by the gates to hear Arno’s message for Deimos while Evie went to confront Kassandra as it was a curious sight to see an archangel so near Hell’s gate.
However, Kassandra was remarkably swift due to her large, powerful feathery wingspan in comparison to Evie’s leathery wings and darted directly into the sea, startling Evie. She came up clutching Edward in her fists and yanked as hard as she could to snap his chains and drag him to Heaven, Evie watching not far off out of amazement of Kassandra’s determination and near stupidity at attempting something like that. However, she successfully broke Edward free and knocked him out, making eye contact with the dumbfounded Evie as she rocketed into the clouds with her bounty. Evie flew back to Jacob, who yelled at her for being charmed by Kassandra and forced his sister to tell Deimos what had happened while he hunted down Arno to have a hostage for Hell as well. Deimos was extremely infuriated with Evie, telling her to get Edward back or else.
Meanwhile, Kassandra checked Edward in to the prison on Heaven, which had a bit of an altercation as Altair socked Edward in the nose as pay back for all those times Edward had nearly drowned him. Kassandra threw Edward into a cell, Edward conversing with Shay, asking how long they had him imprisoned, though as Adéwalé came down the hall of cells he quickly told Edward to shush or else Adéwalé would beat him. Adéwalé interrogated Edward on the habits of Deimos, no one in Heaven realizing that Deimos was Alexios, and discovered from Edward’s information that Deimos was the banished Alexios. He quickly sent Shao to alert Aya that Alexios was in power.
So yeah, that’s the story so far for Heaven Hell AU. A lot of drama, angst, and fights. Not very joyful but I did get to draw Ezio in a loin cloth and high heels so I guess it’s not that awful.

kosuke & tama oda | headcanons | slave au
kosuke& tama oda (oc) | headcanons | slave au | credit to @anonymoussadly
♡ Kosuke earned his title as the Ice Prince in 1st Year Junior High School. It started around his second term, when his classmates started to call him that because of his nonchalant personality, brutal honesty, and generally gives of an air of iciness. It became a known title soon after.
♡ When Tama started Junior High School, she immediately hated the title was given. She knows that he’s apathetic and can be mean to others, but doesn’t mean he is heartless. She hates it when students assume that he has no emotion or when the teachers compare her to him.
♡ Kosuke is thankful towards Tama for standing up for him against the title he’s given. Tama is thankful towards Kosuke for manipulating unjust students into getting expelled.
♡ Kosuke is demisexual leaning towards men.
♡ Tama is pansexual leaning towards women.
♡ They were each others’ first in coming out.
♡ Kosuke goes to Tama for fashion advice because he’s a disaster and only for women’s wear. He doesn’t mind crossdressing and he experiments in his free time. He likes skirts.
♡ Tama dragged Kosuke to her room to show him a list of outfits he can wear. She glares at anyone who gives Kosuke that look when they go to the women’s section for his size.
♡ Kosuke is the one who chose Tama’s signature cap. Tama is the one who chose Kosuke’s signature hair clip.
♡ Kosuke just had a crush on Haru for most of his life. It’s only in his 1st Year in Senior High School that he realizes that he’s in love. Being the emotionally constipated teen he is, he thought it would go away. It didn’t. His heart breaks when he listens to Haru talk about his latest crush.
♡ Tama met her crush in a party meant for mafia bosses and their heir. Her crush is the heir of a mafia allied to the Port Mafia. Tama doesn’t know the heir’s name, she wasn’t listening to the introductions, but the heir captured her heart when she danced with her.
♡ Tama: Bro, you’re so pathetic that it hurts. Kosuke: At least I didn’t fall in love with a stranger.
♡ Kosuke is very intelligent and analytical. He sleeps through the lesson, skim over his book, gives a quick glance on the board before going to sleep. He answers the questions barely awake and gets perfect in everything. Teachers long gave up on making him participate when he proves just how smart he is. Haru gives him a pillow to sleep on.
♡ Tama is very sociable and outgoing. People flock her because of her bright and energetic attitude, works hard in everything she does, helps them when they have a hard time on a certain lesson, and love her leadership capabilities. Teachers consider her the apple in their eye, even though she can be loud and hot headed sometimes.
♡ There was never really any jealousy between the siblings. They’re aware of their strengths and flaws, and they accept it.
♡ Kosuke abhors Valentine’s day. Too many chocolates, too many confessions, too many times he was forced to wake up just for a confession. The only thing he accepted was the curry bread from Haru.
♡ Tama loves Valentine’s day. Many beautiful chocolates, many desperate girls, many chocolates thrown at her direction when her bother comes home. She’s sometimes happy that he somehow able to get the poor hearts of his confessors.
♡ They share the chocolate with Ranpo and Q.
♡ While it remains ambiguous of what company Kosuke wants to join, he heavily leans towards joining the Armed Detective Agency. He was heavily influenced by Q to join.
♡ Tama joins the Port Mafia, hands down. She dreams of becoming the next boss like her mom and Dazai, and she’s determined to know every name of those who works there no matter how high or low their position is.
♡ Dazai spoils Kosuke and Chuuya spoils Tama.
♡ Kosuke can not exercise to save his life. Even when he uses Tainted to help him, he still gets tired soon after.
♡ Tama excels in sports and anything related. She rarely gets after an exercise and would do extra rounds.
♡ Kosuke tutors Tama in her lessons while Tama carries Kosuke around.
♡ The first time Kosuke saw someone die, it was terrifying. Not because of the death, but because of the lack of reaction coming from Kosuke. Kosuke sees no point of being affected of a death of a stranger, no matter how gruesome or brutal.
♡ The first time Tama saw someone die, she screamed. Tama knows she will have to live this lifestyle if she wants to become boss, doesn’t mean she has to like it. She’s most affected when she learns that the friends she made in the mafia died.
♡ Aya and Hikaru try their best to give their children the stable life and love they deserve as much they can.
#THANK YOU FOR THESE!!#MY THOUGHTS ARE STARS I CANNOT FATHOM INTO CONSTELLATIONS | my headcanons#tama oda#kosuke oda#submission

Okay, but how are women even able to walk and talk and do all humanly things during karwa chauth? Like if I miss a single meal toh I end up feeling like Frankenstein’s monster. Kuch bhi khane ko chalega.
Oh man, Gauri recalling Omkara’s words makes me cry. 💔💔💔💔💔
Aagayi iski useless maa. I swear she’s the most useless character in IBverse. Is se bekar aur kaun hoga. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Ugh, he doesn’t deserve your love Gauri. Srsly, fuck him. 😡😡😡😡😡😡
God, why do these people just walk in andhera? Ab toh phones me bhi torches hoti hai. 🙄
Okay, if someone pulled that trick on me, I’d slap first and ask questions later.
Ngl, it is adorbs though. But I don’t like no surprises.
Yeh tanya bhi psycho lagti hai.
These rassis on Annika’s dress are annoying me. Like why?
Why doesn’t someone tell Annika who Shakira is already lmao.
Is it just me, or is Shivaay being extra adorable these days? Man, he be so QYUT!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Gauri’s mom has some weird ideas of Shubh and ashubh. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Lmao, this is so cliched! 😂😂😂😂😂
Lol aa gaya Sardar Singh Oberoi. 😂😂
Dafuq, why is the editing all over the place in this show? 😓😓😓
Okay, not digging these channi wale parallels for RuVya too. Rudy doesn’t even deserve to lick Bhavya’s feet. Omkara doesn’t either, but god, at least there were no malicious life ruining actions there. At least not intentionally.
Also, dafuq kinda name is “Stilist”? Ew. No one karchaoed their brains here apparently!
Guys wtf, all the other couples are married! RuVya ain’t married, neither should they be. Like ever. Rudy’s the worstttt!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡
OMFG! Oh God. That role reversal thing I wanted is happening but with Shivika!!! Omg so qyyyuttttt. Now, I know why my friend said Shivika scenes were the best today lol. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
But tell me Omkara ne vrat rakkha hai ya nahi? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Shivika’s cuteness is making me want to ship them over Rikara. Rikara bas angst hi angst hai. Ugh.
Don’t kill me pls, but I really don’t like “O, Jaana”. Rikara’s song is pretty much half the reason I ship them tbh. Such a soulful beautiful song. 💞💞💞💞💞
“Mujhe lagta hai Gauri mujhse bahut naraz hai, ise manana aasaan nahi hoga, muje mehnat karni padegi”
No shit, Sherlock. Like he really thinks she’s just naraz. Matlab hadd ho gayi. Koi normal person hota toh they’d have drowned in guilt thinking the wronged party hates them, but wow MahanKara still thinks she’s just naraz. Wow 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Like you didn’t spill coffee on her fave shirt Omkara, you basically called her a characterless adultress, and you still think woh bas naraaz hai? If Queenie didn’t love you so much toh she’d be hating your guts right baout now. 😡😡😡😡😡😡
Also, Sardar Singh Oberoi isn’t looking that bad. BUT HE STILL LOOKS LIKE OMKARA. Gauri would really have to be an oblivious idiot not to recognize him. Also, it’s so improbable, cause Gauri’s a legit chantomai, who fooled people into thinking she was a boy for months on end. She observes people and knows what makes them tick. So it wouldn’t make any sense if she failed to recognize her (badly in disguise) husband of 8 months. Pls God, I’m begging you, don’t pull RNBDJ shit on me plsss. If it made me hate fuckin srk and made me quit watching his movies, then I dunno if I’ll still be able to love Gauri anymore. 😧😧😧
Oh my god, yeh punjabi me bhi shuru ho gaya.😲😲😲 Bas kar yar, no one wants to hear your ghatiya shayri. Least of all Gauri. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Gauri’s like Dafuq!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
“Dilpreet Singh” lmaowtf. Omkara you’re so lame, I’m dying. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Omg call out to my faveeeee, Diljit Dosanjh 💓💓💓💓
Gauri’s like yeh kaun pagal hai. 😂😂😂😂
Lol, 2 mins bhi nahi hue and Gauri already recognized his voice. Yeah, SardarKara ain’t gon last long, thank fuck. 😌😌😌😌
He’s literally recounting all famous Sikh singers and being like meri awaaz sabse milti hai. wtf 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
“multipurpose aawaz”
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Gauri’s like yeh kaunse pagal khane se bhaag aya hai. Bua maa ne toh nahi bheja hai apne mental hospital se badla lene k liye? 😂😂😂😂😂
Oh my god, phir se iska main main shuru ho gaya. 🙄🙄🙄
Like, sardar ban ne k siva aur koi plan nahi tha? Such an amateur! 🙄🙄🙄
Oh god yeh mithai dekh k mujhe bhi bhook lag gayi and I don’t even like sweets. Ugh, I’m hungry af. 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Shivika’s cuteness is Goals though! 💓 💝💝💝
Wtf, is tanya going to commit suicide? Dafuq. Yeh Oberoi pagal khane me rehke ye bhi pagal ho gayi hai kya? Bitch, no guy is worth your life. Least of all this chooza.
Literally not interested in this bakwas though. But I’m guessing Abhay is the one who sent gundas to Gauri’s house? Lmao. Kya khichdi pak rahi hai? 😂😂😂😂😂
Aaj ka epi was legit bakwas besides Shivika cuteness. I hope we get some better shit tomo. 🙄🙄

Wouldn’t It Be Nice
Chapter 5: Bleached Hearts
Or, In Which Yosuke Nearly Dies.
As always, help from whatisthisnonsense
November 10, 2010
“So you…want me to just be a normal teenager?”
“As much as possible. I know you’re a bit out of your time, but you’ve got all of your emotions. You can make friends, date someone, the whole nine yards-and everything you feel will be you.”
“…But I thought I wasn’t supposed to get close to people.”
“…No, just not tell them. …It might be a good idea to…ah…not get too close, though.”
“…Right. Thanks.”
Then what’s the point?
May 2011
Despite his constant foot-in-mouth disease, somehow Nanako still likes him, and somehow Yu hasn’t attempted murder for showing his uncle those ridiculous swim trunks. So he figures he can afford a break by taking the robot equivalent of a nap, even if he is supposed to be helping the others study.
(Sometimes, being a robot sucks. But when it comes to school, it’s awesome.)
Even when sleeping, his sensors are on, and when Yukiko mentions that there are haven’t been any attacks this week, something connects and sends him bolt upright. “That’s what I was thinking! It’s something we need to discuss.”
Chie jumps at his declaration, eyes wide and a little reproachful. “Sheesh! It’s like he just came back from the dead!”
“He looks good for dead.”
Yosuke’s lips twitch at Kaguya’s deadpan. “Well, technically, I am dead, so thanks.”
"You're a very talkative zombie, then." Yu comments with a straight face. Souji groans and elbows his brother, obviously ignoring his sister's amused snorting, and Yosuke has to repress the urge to throw his pencil at Yu. He likes this pencil.
He shares the theory he’s come up with-since every victim has been female, and every victim shared a connection with Ms. Yamano, it stands to reason that the killer’s motive is to kill every female associated with that case in some way. Why, he has no clue, but he has to put together something or they’re going to end up way behind.
Yu makes a good point about factoring in the Midnight Channel, and as he thinks it through, he realizes that the Channel might have been warning them about what was going to happen. They’ll have to watch it every night it rains, though, which honestly isn’t that much of a problem.
With that thought, he stands and grabs his bag, forgetting napping and studying in his eagerness to go check the weather.
Then Kaguya shifts. It's subtle, and quiet, at least as much as a tree falling is subtle and quiet, including the part where she falls and lands quite squarely on the robot. "Study time isn't over yet,” she mutters, even as Souji groans in exasperation at her.
Yosuke could shove her off, but he’s not going to risk the Boss’s wrath. Instead, he whines, “Awww, Kaguya, come on-I don’t need to study!”
"Neither do I,” she replies. "But if I got to social, so do you.”
“Fine. …Get off!”
***
Exams slog on, exhausting even his considerable energy. But they’re done soon enough, and that night, he catches sight of a news report on some freshman who apparently beat up an entire biker gang. He doesn’t think much of it until the next night it rains, and then he thinks a lot of it, because the figure on the screen is a dead fit for his profile. It kind of ruins his idea, but he’s not so worried about that as he is about dealing with the Shadow of a kid who took out a biker gang.
This Kanji kid seems to be determined to throw a wrench into everything. He was apparently the kid of a textile shop owner, and while that didn’t exactly mean he had to be nice, he believed Yukiko when she said he used to be sweet. He couldn’t exactly imagine his parents being anything but calm, kind people if they ran a textile shop. More importantly, though, knowing that he lived at a textile shop gave them a location to go check on him, so they could see exactly how much danger he was in.
The textile shop is pretty much what Yosuke expected—small, but inviting, with plenty of gorgeous fabrics on display. What catches his attention, though, was the short boy talking to the old woman in the middle of the shop. Something about him is making one of Yosuke’s sensors ping, but the robot couldn’t quite place what, even as the boy turned around.
As he leaves, the boy gives them all an intense side-eye that leaves Yosuke pretty much completely baffled. They were allowed to go to stores, weren’t they? Okay, yeah, having half-a-dozen teenagers in a textile shop is weird, but not that weird, and definitely not deserving of a side eye. He turns to look at the triplets, then hastily elbows Kaguya when he sees her death glare. The kid might have been a bit of a jerk, but making him more suspicious is counterproductive.
Yu and Kaguya latch onto the scarf fabric at the same time, and when Chie properly identifies it, Yosuke forgets for a moment that there is someone else in the room that didn’t know about the TV World. Fortunately, Kanji’s grandmother is either too polite to mention that they were obviously insane or slightly deaf, so instead of shooing them out, she tells them about how Yamano-san had ordered the scarf custom made. That is a connection to her, even if it isn’t the strongest, and while Yosuke’s theory on gender is as dead as his original body, it does give the connection-to-Yamano-san theory new life.
The arrival of the delivery man cuts off any chance to get more information out of her, and stepping out into the street nearly brings them into the middle of a conversation between Kanji and the boy that had been talking to Kanji’s grandmother. They scramble to hide, and then get to watch as Kanji has himself a gay crisis.
“He’s a dude that finds another dude intriguing…”
Yosuke risks a quick glance at Souji, then looks away, ducking his head slightly. Now is not the time to think about that, especially when it’s a moot point anyway.
Especially especially when it’s a moot point and Kanji Tatsumi is about to kick your ass into next week. Yosuke had never been one to refuse to retreat, so it was no surprise that he was the first one out of there.
Yosuke was apparently the only one to hear what they were talking about, so he gives them a vague overview without mentioning the whole gay-freak-out-thing, then suggests they stake out Kanji and the shop. If they can stop the kidnapping before it happens, then maybe they can catch the kidnapper in action.
Of course, parts of that plan were still not quite in place.
“All right, first things first—Yukiko, I’m going to need your cell phone number.”
Chie’s shriek makes Yosuke wince. “WHAT?! So that’s what you were angling for?!”
“Chill out, will you? Geez, I’m going to need it for the mission, that’s all. Boss, back me up here.”
"Don't mack on the job", Kaguya intones with a straight face, giving only the faintest snort when Souji elbows her. “Okay, okay—fork it over, Yukiko.”
“Are you trying to get me killed?” Yosuke shakes his head, then grins at Yukiko expectantly.
“Oh, I just remembered—I was supposed to get some tofu.”
“Whaaaa?”
***
Part one of the plan involves waiting for Kanji and the blue-haired boy from yesterday to meet up outside of Yasogami. Once again, the smaller boy makes something ping in one of his sensors, and Yosuke makes a mental note to have Souji check that sensor before focusing on what the pair was saying.
It’s…almost adorable how flustered Kanji is getting over this, but they have a plan to carry out. “Souji, Chie, we’ll go follow Kanji. You three go stake out the textile shop!” Ignoring Chie’s momentary call of protest, he runs after the pair, keeping his distance while still keeping within range.
This is some of what Yosuke was designed to do, and it’s easy to let his subroutines take over and guide him through the process. Souji’s repairs are showing his skill, too—no inopportune creaks or system errors to distract him or alert the pair. However, there is something a little distracting…
“So, um, d’you mind telling me why we’re using our phones?”
“If we were standing next to each other talking it’d be too obvious! Duh!”
“Okay, let me rephrase that—why are we using our phones when we’re less than two meters apart?! Go across the street or something! He can nab us while we’re standing here!”
Yosuke can hear Souji facepalming from his spot in a bush, and he takes a moment to give him a brief but very rude gesture. Somehow, Yosuke gets the impression that he’s facepalming harder, and instead of replying with the chain of rude gestures that he knows, he turns back to Chie. “Why aren’t you going?!” “They might hear me! Besides, I’m getting the munchies.”
“Then order delivery or something!”
“Delivery? But we’re standing on a corner!”
That gets an eyebrow raise out of Yosuke. “Didn’t you know? Aya says her place will deliver anywhere. It doesn’t matter where you are—you just gotta call them up and ask.”
Chie’s face lights up, and before Yosuke can kick himself, she’s ordering two bowls of nikudon rather loudly. He turns to try to shush her, then freezes as a shadow falls over them both.
“Well, hello there.”
They both look up into Kanji Tatsumi’s rather enraged face as he growls, “Just what do you think you’re doing?” Yosuke stares back for a moment, then springs up, awkward smile firmly in place and suddenly very glad he cannot sweat.
“Uh, we were just passing by, looking for our friend—and there he is! Hey, Souji!”
It’s pretty obvious that Souji’s scrambling just as hard as they are, what with his slightly panicked waving. "Uh h-hi! S-sorry I uh—my poor phone took a nose dive into the uh...into the thing."
“The…bush?” Kanji seems pretty derailed by Souji’s appearance, something that Yosuke takes as a minor victory.
"Y-yeah. Sorry for the hold up, guys." Souji skitters over to the other two, and thankfully he looks embarrassed, even if it's for entirely different reasons than what Kanji’s probably thinking.
“Yeah, it’s the three amigos, all together again! So, if you don’t mind, we’ll just be—“
“Hey.” Kanji leans in, squinting at them, and Yosuke prepares to mourn the loss of another carbon-fiber breastplate. “Didn’t I see you yesterday?”
“We aren’t trying to follow you or anything, or think you might be gay! And if you are, that’s totally cool too! I think that’s great!”
Yosuke’s teeth seem to be trying to cringe their way out of his metallic skull, and he glances at Souji out of one squinted eye. Souji has paled horrifically and already taken several steps back, and Yosuke wants to follow him for multiple reasons—not least of which is that his mechanical brain has chosen this moment to bring up a full-fidelity soundclip from yesterday.
“He’s a dude that finds another dude intriguing…”
Yosuke shakes his head, then blinks a bit as Kanji’s face goes from angry to confused. “…Are you saying…I like dudes?” The boy is blushing, for heaven’s sake, and Yosuke blinks back before glaring at Chie.
“Chie, you moron, you just couldn’t keep your mouth shut!” He can’t help but sound flustered himself, and he very carefully avoids looking in Souji’s direction as he backs away. “Run for it!”
He is, at least, kind enough to grab Souji’s arm so his partner isn’t left behind with the guy who beat up a biker gang, and he figures that Chie’ll survive—she could probably take a biker gang herself if she were in the mood. That mood would probably involve meat somehow, but she had nikudon on the way, and heaven help the person who got in the middle of that.
From somewhere behind them, Yosuke can hear Kanji yelling after them, even with the sound of him and Souji panting and their feet echoing off the walls around them.
“I know what it looks like, but you’re wrong! I-I-I’m telling you! I-it’s not like that!”
Part of Yosuke is wincing in empathy, and he might have to smack that part later because he’s pretty sure it’s why he was jealous when Souji was ‘dating Ai,’ but the rest is generally screaming, both internally and externally as they run past Yu, Kaguya, and Yukiko. The chase goes on as the other three join them, and then takes a turn for the absolutely surreal as Aya catches up to them—two bowls of nikudon, for ¥1600. And when they finally ditch Kanji, Chie proclaims her meal delicious.
Yosuke just shakes his head. “Well, at least someone’s happy.”

Bungou Stray Dogs post-anime manga thoughts
By “thoughts” I really just mean “Dana rambles about things everyone already knows and doesn’t need to read again about chapters 38 through 48.5″ lol, but just wanted to throw some stuff out here at random. This is extremely long and half-meta-y, half crying, and if you care to read all of this you deserve a medal and my appreciation lmao.
Chapter 39 is the one I had seen mentioned in a couple places before, but had no idea why it was a standout one. But god damn do I see why now; this is probably one of the best chapters in the entire series in my opinion, and it makes all of the stuff shown so far before this about Atsushi’s treatment at the orphanage look like child’s play. Jfc that was so hard to read; I can only imagine how utterly traumatizing this will be to watch if we eventually get a season 3, oh my GOD Atsushi my poor, poor precious baby, I just want to hug you so so tightly and give you so much love ;____; *cries* But I love how the headmaster came back into play, something I didn’t expect to happen, but it was perfect and a great catalyst for more character development for Atsushi. What I greatly appreciated and respected the most about this though was that they didn’t do what I began to fear they were doing, and that’s that they didn’t try to redeem the guy despite giving him a sad backstory. They gave him depth by giving a reason for his cruelty towards Atsushi in the form of a similar past for him and the fact that Atsushi’s life was saved later down the line because of all the hatred he built up from everything that was done to him, and by making the headmaster want to come to see him to praise him for his efforts in defeating the guild... but despite all this, at the end of the day, Dazai straight-up lets Atsushi know that he has absolutely no obligation to forgive the man for the hell he put him through despite these things he’s just learned, and I’m so so glad. So glad. The second point may be true, but it doesn’t change the fact that what the headmaster did to him also gave him such cripplingly low self-esteem and self-worth issues that plagued him all the way until the end of the guild arc, so yeah. It’s actually kind of similar to the situation with how Dazai trained Akutagawa; it was necessary in his mind, because him enduring that was the only way the latter would survive the mafia, but it was still a very bad way to go about it (not that I blame Dazai completely, cause he was just doing what is natural to him, but yeahhhh). In the end, with this chapter, I can appreciate the headmaster as a character more and understand his reasons, but I cannot forgive him, as Atsushi doesn’t. And okay, then they kind of backtrack on the point they’d just made by having Dazai tell Atsushi that when a person’s father dies, it’s only natural for them to cry... gdi Dazai, Atsushi’s real father isn’t the headmaster; it’s Fukuzawa, or Kunikida, or to be the most accurate, YOUUUUUUUU alksjdffjkldlkdj *sniffs*
On another note, that line from Dazai made me bawl like a baby for an entirely different reason *looks at Dark Era and weeps softly* ...Dazai cried: confirmed
So yes, that chapter was beautiful and perfectly done despite being painful as fuck, and only made me love my precious kitty son more ugh; definitely one of my favorite chapters.
Chapter 40 is the beginning hint to the feels train of hell regarding Kunikida that only gets worse later on. :’) But I’m so glad he saves Aya; she’s friggin adorable and Kunikida’s very serious turning down of her marriage proposal to him made me laugh way more than it probably should have lmao. Also always nice to see more of Dazai pulling shit on Kunikida like in the older chapters/season 1; his faces are priceless looooooooool.
Chapter 41 is what I’d been waiting for; I got spoiled on Gin being Akutagawa’s sister awhile ago somehow, and man did the reveal not disappoint. Haven’t laughed so hard with BSD in quite a long time (actually this is probably the funniest part to date lol); this chapter was just the best LMAOOOOOO. The misunderstandings and miscommunications were off the charts, Higuchi’s actions and assumptions being the best part of the whole thing she totally was crushing on Gin there, let’s be real lol... I really really hope we see more of the Akutagawa siblings interacting eventually; this was the first we’d heard of it, and the implications are really fascinating. Would love to know what Gin thinks about all the stuff that happened prior, like with the Guild and on the boat before that so much angst potential, and just I want to see more of them! It’d be interesting to see her and Atsushi interact, in particular... Other than that, I also expect Katai to come back into play eventually in the current arc; we shall see his ability is the most oddly specific and weirdest I’ve seen yet lol
Kid in the Port Mafia who was A’s subordinate didn’t deserve that. :( RIP nice kid who we didn’t even get the name of; the agency/mafia will avenge you I hope
Love how Kyouka’s parents continue to be brought up, and that we finally get answers about them, and Demon Snow, here. It’s very sweet and sad. :’) Only makes me love Kyouka more. Kouyou has always confounded me about how I should feel about her (also, she has a demon ability too that looks similar to Kyouka’s/her mom’s, but Kouyou can’t be related to her, so...?), but by this point she seems to genuinely support Kyouka being at the agency, and even goes undercover to further help her understand her ability, so I can respect that. The information about Demon Snow also begs the question of what other abilities could be inherited (Akutagawa has Rashomon, but Gin has no ability, so nothing there); maybe we’ll see more of that at some point much later.
And Lucy continues to appear frequently and I am just so, so happy and thankful; bless Asagiri for giving my daughter more screentime (pagetime?) and not leaving me hanging with her after the end of the guild arc... I love her so much alskdjfbfjdklskdjfbg *cries* she’s so awesome and her relationship with Atsushi is just :’’’) <333 definitely one of my favorite characters. the thing with their clothes in this chapter LMAO
also whenever Ango shows up, even if it’s just for three pages to relay some essential exposition and then disappear again, I automatically promptly lay down and die OTL
I LOVE that the guild is being brought back; seriously this makes me so happy. Fitzgerald interested me somewhat in the last arc even though I couldn’t really say why, and now, I actually love what they’re doing with him, like so much. His character in chapter 44 and especially 45 was so much more likeable than anything we’d seen of him yet, and it looks like they’re trying to give him some sort of redemption arc, which makes me thrilled, like oh my goodness. I’m not going to go as far as to say Fitzgerald has completely changed, definitely no; he’s still doing everything he’s doing for the sake of getting the Book, and he still cannot let go of money, which is what inflates his ego, and he won’t be able to change for the better completely until he is able to stop associating having money with having value as an individual. Unfortunately, the nature of his ability has trained him to have this mindset, so it’s not going to be easy. But he’s already making some good, if small, progress; he brought that murderer to justice, which let the doctor be found innocent like he should have been, and then doubled his wages (Fitzgerald says he only did all that because it was the most financially logical plan, but c’mon, don’t try to tell me there wasn’t some ounce of humanity/kindness in his actions). I hope he keeps going down this path to improve as a person. Plus like how can you not love his adorable excitement at doing mundane things now like shopping smartly for things on sale??? and pulling a Phoenix Wright in court and doing the most badass mic drop in history??? He’s such a sinnamon roll now omg; I love him (Fitzgerald/Pots OTP for life >.>) Steinbeck will possibly help give him a push in the right direction; right now he seems angry at and dissatisfied with how Fitzgerald seemed to revert back to before, but if he saw what he did afterwards, I think he’d be interested. Louisa is a good companion for him but she’s too submissive/worshipping of him to tell him what he really needs to hear; Steinbeck could do that. So with this redemption going on, it may be leading to a parallel of last arc where the agency and the mafia had to team up to fight the guild, whereas this time, the guild has to team up with one or both of them (even if just in action and not in words too) to defeat the new and incredibly more dangerous threat, Fyodor. Only time will tell. My friend made an excellent post elaborating on this little side plot with Fitzgerald and further speculation here; she talked about it more eloquently than I have so I recommend it~
And speaking of Louisa earlier, I’m so incredibly happy she’s getting focus??? She was one of my favorite guild members in that arc, but I always thought she’d just be an aesthetic favorite... but no, now she’s actually having a character and I can’t wait to see more of her (the tidbit about her and Lucy being friends of sorts was so sweet ;w;) as well! <3 Seriously, so many minor faves of mine I didn’t expect to come back, some not ever, are getting a lot of care and focus; I’m so blessed ahhhh now if we could just get more Poe appearances and more Oda references/flashbacks, I can die happy asdfggjlk (and also cry a lot at the latter)
Then, finally, there’s the current arc/crisis, whatever you want to call it. It’s been building up vaguely sooner than this in a few other chapters, but now it’s finally getting going and oh god is it awful. It was shown in chapter 42 that Fyodor is a master planner, manipulator, and mass-murderer, and he does it barely doing any heavy lifting on his own. He’s legitimately terrifying, and although I do loathe him with every fiber of my being (and you bet your ass I will even more if this situation ends the way I’m dreading it will end), I can’t deny his ingenuity, and he is a great villain. Mori is too, but this guy is even better (worse) and it’s absolutely sickening. Letting the agency and the mafia destroy each other in under 48 hours by targeting their two leaders, meanwhile taking out their top strategist AND continuing to emotionally manipulate the people involved and sending them in circles until the time runs out is the smartest way for him to work towards getting what he wants, which is... death to all ability wielders, to look for the Book...? Not quite clear on that yet, but Fyodor is anything but straightforward when talking about his motivations so lol.
At the moment, Fukuzawa is dying, Mori is dying, and unless a miracle occurs one or both of them will be dead by the end of this. As much as I would definitely not be adverse to our resident douchey vampire cosplayer pervert being offed, and especially for the sake of the agency’s best grandpa, I loathe to admit that without him the mafia as characters would most likely fall apart... and groans his banter with Elise is stupidly cute and entertaining ignoring the creepy factor that’s always in the back in my head. Character-wise, I wouldn’t cry too hard if he died after all, he killed Oda, the bastard, but realistically and writing-wise I know it’s not really feasible for it to happen. ....But Fukuzawa on the other hand can’t die, okay, h-he just can’t; the very thought of it makes me want to cry. :’’’’’( I know everyone is pointing out the foreshadowing and everything but... the agency would be absolutely wrecked, Kunikida and Ranpo and Dazai especially don’t even get me started on how Dazai might react at having yet another father figure and friend die on him, just don’t... I just don’t see them getting over it for a long, long time. ....just.... please don’t kill the world’s #1 grandpa please *lays down and cries* (also can we just talk about Lucy taking him into Anne’s room and watching over him protectively and worriedly at Atsushi’s request; good lord I love her even more than I already did before :’’’’) <3 )
Dazai is currently out of commission, which is something that has yet to happen in the series until now. It makes for an interesting change-up, since he can’t swoop in with his intellect and knowledge with a master plan this time, which gives the others a chance to shine but also makes me fret more. Then again, it’s implied that he knew the sniper was there and let himself get shot, so who knows, maybe he’ll manage to do something even still. Kinda doubt it though. Either way, I hate seeing my bby hurt; get well soon Dazai. ;w;
My heart breaks for Ranpo; I haven’t read the light novel about him and Fukuzawa yet (I don’t think it’s fully translated yet anyway, and not sure when or if it will be), but I’ve gathered that Ranpo cares a lot about him. :( I’ve always been rather neutral on him, his belittling and ignoring of Atsushi in the beginning chapters/first season annoying the hell out of me, but he’s matured lately I feel like and I can respect and like him more. I hope he doesn’t lose Fukuzawa. ;w;
Tanizaki is a badass; I’m glad to see some solo action from him. His ability is more deadly and advantageous than I even thought; he could be a master assassin if he was in the mafia. 0____0 don’t mess with him; he’ll fuck you up lol
And then finally there’s Kunikida, and good lord I have never loved Kunikida more than I do now. He’s another character I was neutral on for a good long while in the first two seasons; I know Dazai is annoying but it eternally bothered me how Kunikida treats his suicidal habits as a joke and doesn’t think for a second that they may be very much painfully real (then again, none of the agency members take Dazai’s suicide attempts seriously, so I can’t blame just him, but ughhhhh). Episodes 6 and 7 in season one were obviously meant to characterize him, but that arc confused the hell out of me so unfortunately I didn’t get the intended feelings from it. But damn, now I feel like I’m finally seeing what kind of person Kunikida really is, and it hurts. This was being led up to from chapter 40, except there, there was a happy ending... this time, not so. And it was terrible to see. Kunikida is a kind person, someone who wants to do as much good as he can even knowing that sometimes it’s just not possible to save everyone, and it was utterly heartbreaking and sickening to have to see him witness what he did, completely fail to save that child despite how hard he tried to do so, thanks to fucking Fyodor. And now he’s breaking down over it and I just want to hug him so badly??? Someone, hug him, please. Kunikida you don’t deserve this suffering. ;______;
also, I’m so upset about this that I’m not even going to cross it out; Asagiri why do you insist on blowing up children??? why did you have to make THAT IMAGE OF KUNIKIDA GETTING BLOWN BACK BY THE BLAST AND HIS SUBSEQUENT REACTION TO IT LOOK ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE THE OTHER TIME. WHY DO YOU HURT ME IN THIS WAY I CAN’T DO THIS ANYMORE. *screams and sobs* who wants to place bets on how Dazai might react when he hears Fyodor resorted to killing kids to get what he wants; eyyyyyy actually let’s not imagine that :’) .........slaughter him Dazai.
Atsushi is currently our only hope right now for saving the president! Please do your best, kitty son. And I picked the worst time to catch up with this series because everything is so uncertain right now. :’’’)
Random other things I can think of that we need information on at some point/things I want to see happen:
Q is the main one. He disappeared as far as I know after the Dazai and Chuuya team-up and we’ve yet to learn his whereabouts. His ability is one of the most deadly in the series so he could possibly be used to their advantage here? Who knows, but his absence is suspicious to me and I hope maybe it will be addressed if not in this arc then later.
Hawthorne is currently... possessed or something. Who knows if he’ll get saved and rejoin any of the guild members still lingering around now in the story; I hope he’s saved at least. He wasn’t one of my favorites before, but I feel bad for him. :/
More information on the Book of course, as well as on Fyodor, but that’s a given.
AGATHA. She was introduced as a member of a third organization back when the guild and Fyodor’s group was first introduced; I want to see her again and learn what she does, and what her ability is!!! Agatha Christie is definitely my favorite irl writer out of all the ones in BSD, and the only one I’ve read multiple works from, so I was super excited to see her appear and I can’t wait for her to truly come into play.
Lovecraft is still nearby (sort of lol) and has ties to Steinbeck; he could possibly come back.
This is more in general and has nothing to do with this arc (well, not entirely), but I’d like to see some of the side characters eventually get fleshed out more. Kenji and Chuuya are sorely in need of this, and to a lesser extent Yosano and Tanizaki/Naomi. Kenji is nothing more than a slightly disturbing ever-cheery personality, we haven’t gotten to see any of Chuuya’s inner thoughts and personality outside of Dazai really (which I desperately want, because he’s a fan favorite but I really can’t get that attached to him so far tbh), and I’d like to know the backstory behind Yosano and Mori’s mysterious past connection, as well as where Tanizaki and Naomi came from. The Black Lizard getting more focus would be nice as well. There’s so much else they can do with these characters, and as much as I adore Atsushi, Dazai, and Akutagawa, I hope we eventually see focus put on the others too. That has a chance of happening, and has already been happening sort of, this arc to some degree I think, which is nice. As much as I love this series, my main complaint with it would be that the pacing is kind of all over the place, and some of the filler is sort of redundant or doesn’t contribute much (then again, I attribute this feeling somewhat to how lackluster the first season of the anime felt to me, with its over-the-top slapstick and the Azure Messenger arc which even after a rewatch still confuses me lol, as well as with the very oddly placed episode 11 after the official start of the guild arc. Dark Era was very oddly placed but I appreciate it so much, not only because of how godly it was, but because without it I literally would have been so confused in the guild arc multiple times??? Manga y u assume that readers have definitely read the dark era novel....).
Long-term wish for the story: I want the agency, with Atsushi in particular, to realize that Dazai has a lot of emotional baggage and serious scars and depression from his life in the mafia, and for him to have his own arc where he heals, culminating in him finally being able to let out all of his grief about Oda and everything else and just have a good cry, because damn, Dazai is still a child if we’re being honest here, and he’s suffering so much; he needs a hug and I so desperately want to give it to him ;___; ...and some kind of make up with Ango pls? even if it’s just them no longer being enemies, and even if it’s just one conversation.... I want them to be able to talk at least once about what happened OTL
Other long-term wish: save Akutagawa pls; give the child happiness and comfort ugh and take him to a doctor; I worry about his health so much ffffff
Anyway, I think that’s that. So happy to be involved in this lovely family-feels filled hell now that’s not sarcasm, at least not completely hahah; can’t wait to see what exciting new places the series goes from here. :’) <3
also dazaiscans is awesome for scanlating this wonderful series for us, and for leaving the best comments in the margins that made my reading experience 100 times better and more laugh-filled; kudos to them! <3
#bungou stray dogs#bungou stray dogs spoilers#meta#personal posts#sort of meta lol#I have a lot of feels and a lot of thoughts and a whole lotta worries#*sips wine* further into hell I go

the thing journal: 8.13.2017 - 8.19.2017
the pop culture things i took in last week. in this post: inglourious basterds, unbreakable kimmy schmidt, cost of living, the world’s greatest american band, homecoming king, you’re the worst, frances ha, warriors
1) Inglourious Basterds, dir. Quentin Tarantino: You know, in the current political climate, it's hard to be too critical of a film in which the climactic moment is Hitler getting riddled with bullets and hundreds of Nazis being burned alive, where the final scene is a Nazi having a swastika etched into his forehead so that he can't live a normal life. Did other things happen in this film? I mean, of course, there was a bit of build to the moment where all the Nazis got what every Nazi deserves, and I quite enjoyed that long scene in the bar and also Brad Pitt's character speaking Italian, but mostly, you're watching this feel-good movie to remind yourself, hey: fuck the Nazis. A+, great movie, bring the kids, one of the best things Tarantino ever did.
2) Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt s3, cr. Tina Fey & Robert Carlock: I just wanna talk about that episode where Kimmy Schmidt discovers she's on the Internet because that was the episode UKS SHOULD have made in s2 in response to Internet criticisms, instead of that squicky SJW business they did. Like, there is this tendency in the callout culture to focus on the One Bad Thing the show does instead of the Multiple Wonderful Things, so the show in some people's eyes isn't this zany look at being poor as fuck in New York (there's an episode about setting up a con to use the bathroom at a convenience store that only lets customers use the bathroom!), it's the show where Jane Krakowski is a Native American, and that's not 100% fair. Like, it's fair because Jane Krakowski isn't Native American, but the show is also this wonderful, light-hearted comedy, and it doesn't deserve to just be marked for the one thing it gets wrong and also will apparently never stop doing for some reason.
3) Cost of Living, by Downtown Boys: I say I love punk music, but I like punk with a certain veneer. The second I'm confronted with real punk like this, I tend to bristle and get scared, because I'm not actually punk, I just identify with a certain style and think it's neat when people do drums real fast. It's a political record, it counts as the second album with songs in a foreign language I've heard this year, it hits all the marks it wants to hit, and I'm just listening to it like, "When are they gonna do a song about being empty inside like the other punk bands which I enjoy?" I dunno, maybe I just hit this up on the wrong day. Probably worth a revisit.
4) The World's Best American Band, by White Reaper: Like THIS is my speed, y'know? Just a dope band plugging in and letting shit rip for half an hour. This is kind of the same record as the Sheer Mag thing from a couple weeks ago, and I don't mind that one bit, give me your Sheer Mags, your White Reapers, give me any band like this that you got, y'all got a rock band that sounds like a drunk dude who wants to sock me in the kisser, I've got a place in my heart for ya.
5) Homecoming King, by Hasan Minhaj: This is the most produced stand-up special I've ever seen, short of Maria Bamford's thing from earlier this year. Like, there's actual camera work, it moves, it zooms in, and there's a screen behind Minhaj projecting graphics related to the things he's talking about, and I don't necessarily think the special needed these things (we know what Facebook looks like, you don't need to show us the Facebook messages, we believe you), but I appreciate how they give this special its own feel. It's about someone with a non-traditional story, so it's filmed in a non-traditional way. (Talk about the content.) Oh um it's funny but also sometimes sad. It was nice.
6) You're the Worst s3, cr. Stephen Falk: You're the Worst is one of my favorite shows of all time, and it just knocks this season out of the park. Like, it has all these heavy moments, the Edgar episode and the arc with Jimmy's father and Lindsay stabbing her husband and Lindsay's husband and Janet Varney's husband trip to the woods, but it balances all of them with the best comedy on TV, like I'm not sure how many other shows could have Ben Folds show up and try to do crowd work while Jimmy contends with something shitty his dad did while he was dying. Also, Aya Cash. Like, obviously Aya Cash, but also: Aya Cash! Aya Cash. I love this show so much it's so good I hope it lives forever.
7) Frances Ha, dir. Noah Baumbach: There IS a way to write a thing about being single in New York that doesn't feel like a thousand other things! I loved how this movie approached the main character's journey to maturity: the film begins with her assuming her friend isn't going to make any life-changing decisions, and when she does, it sends Frances into this spin where she realizes she doesn't know who she is or what she wants, and she has to struggle to figure out her identiy as an adult human being, which I, as a trainwreck with multiple married friends, find resonant. Like, it's a movie about someone who didn't fuck up because fuck up implies an intent to do something right; she just let life pass her by, then realized she had to catch up. It's a lovely little thing, this film.
8) Warriors, by Bad Cop/Bad Cop: Maybe I just need the accessible version of Downtown Boys. This album hits on all the same themes as Cost of Living, has several Rise Against-y calls to action to fight this broken system, but it also has Rise Against-y production value, is just an absolute joy to listen to and in all honesty understays its welcome, clocking in under half an hour. This band is one of my favorite 2017 discoveries, and I'm not happy it took me two months to discover they dropped something new this year LIKE I WAS MISSING THIS ALBUM FOR TWO MONTHS I JUST THREW TIME IN THE TRASH I GUESS

Andromeda Ask Meme [SPOILERS]
Thirty Questions About My Decisions in my first playthrough
The Basics: 1. Male or Female Ryder?
male, default Scotty
2. Feelings on being the Pathfinder?
i think it was irresponsible of alec to give ryder command. i wasn’t trained and i wasn’t ready to lead in such a high capacity in such extreme and dangerous circumstances. the vote of confidence from a dad who didn’t really know or trust me yet was a nice boost, but he could have given over the extra sam connection without laying the full pathfinder responsibilities on me.
3. Your Pathfinder’s feelings on SAM?
sam is a gentle friend but scotty was a bit wary of the extent of the changes alec incorporated. he trusts sam, not his father.
4. When your comatose sibling asked about the current situation in Andromeda, did Ryder lie or tell the truth about Alec Ryder and Habitat 7? Why?
Scotty told Sara the truth because he knew she would kick his ass later if he had lied. she deserved to know even if it was difficult to tell and difficult for her to hear. he was so worried when the shock hit her and became too much.
5. Romantic entanglements, if any, and hopes for a future with your partner?
he romanced Peebee. he seriously likes her in a casual way, if that makes any sense. their love is lighthearted. he would very much like to stay together and see what trouble she gets him into and out of. it will be an adventure thats for sure.
Major Locations: 6. Eos: Was your first settlement scientific, or military? Reasoning on your choice?
scientific. a military post felt like the wrong first impression to make to any new races beyond the kett and we needed the resources and information that the science crew would unveil.
7. Eos: During the mission Making an Impression, a non-Nexus settlement requests that you mine natural gas instead of rerouting their water source. What choice did you make, and why?
i did both as i happened to have a glitch or crash around the time of this mission but i can’t recall which choice actually made it into my save. i think i elected to reroute the water because even though helping the settlement would have been nice, we needed to find out the source of the disruption we had been tracking.
8. Voeld: After discovering the Angaran AI, did Ryder choose to kill or preserve it? If preserved, was it taken to the Nexus, or turned over to the Angara?
the ancient AI went to the nexus per its request. scotty doesn’t fully trust it and hopes that sam will keep an eye on it.
9. Voeld: At the conclusion of the mission The Lost Song, did you allow Dr. Lekaaret to continue her research on the Yevara, or force her to stop hunting them?
i believe she was asked to stop her hunt. learning more about a species is a noble goal but not at the expense of that species.
10. Kadara: Did Ryder side with Sloane Kelley, or the Charlatan? Why?
Scotty would have sided with the charlatan if given a choice, but he did pull sloane out of the sniper’s sights.
11. Kadara: Did you recover Dr. Ryota’s Oblivion Formula, or leave it in the hands of Arenna Farenth?
either i never got this mission or i just do not remember it....
12. Kadara: If your Ryder completed the side quest Mind Games, how did they choose to handle the Cerberus scientists?
Scotty disrupted the scientists work with minimal impact to the test subjects.
13. Elaaden: Did Ryder turn the remnant drive core over to Morda, or keep it for the use of the Nexus?
the core was given to morda with slight hesitation. had another, more trustworthy krogan been in charge the choice might have been easier. Scotty is hoping that drack will be able to keep things under control if necessary.
14. Elaaden: After discovering the source of Annea’s water, did Ryder allow her to continue her operation, or expose the source?
he allowed her to continue. he wasn’t going to disrupt her income source and she did find it first, but he would have hoped that she keep her prices fair.
15. Nexus: How did Ryder respond to the protesters who wanted their families brought out of cryo?
he sympathized for sure, people need something and someone to live for, work for, but he did hold his ground. he would have worked to get them out sooner, ahead of schedule, but it just wasn’t feasible at the time of the protest.
16. Nexus: In the on-going series of interviews with Keri T’Vessa, did Ryder choose to highlight the stark truth regardless of the poor light it put upon Nexus leadership, or did they choose to promote a message of hope in the new galaxy?
Scotty stuck to the truth, even when it was hard to hear, just as he did with Sara when telling her about Alec’s death. the truth is always preferable to lies and is important when making history to be as accurate as possible.
Squadmates and Crew: 17. Cora: After discovering the truth about Sarissa’s actions with the previous pathfinder, did Ryder keep her secret, or inform the rest of the Asari? Was Sarissa allowed to maintain her post, or was Vederia promoted?
Scotty relieved Sarissa of her position and promoted Vederia. He was very happy with her progress and was glad he took that small risk, after all she was in nearly the same position he was. He felt telling the other asari about Sarissa’s actions was necessary, the truth is the only way to go in his book.
18. Liam: How did Ryder feel about Liam’s actions? Did Ryder choose to detain Verand after the mission’s end?
he was not thrilled with liam’s actions, but knew his heart was in the right place and was not about to abandon liam over one mistake. i might have detained Verand just to be sure she and the information remained safe.
19. Vetra: Was Ryder supportive of Sid’s actions, or agree with Vetra that Sid wasn’t ready to see this side of their work? Did Ryder take the risk and shoot Meriweather?
Ryder appreciated Sid’s initiative, but would have defered to Vertra’s judgement as she knows her sister better and is the boss when it comes to their family arrangements. i don’t recall taking the option to shoot meriweather, as it would be out of character for Scotty to do so anyways.
20. PeeBee: After launching the escape pod, Peebee asked if you were mad. Were you? How did you handle Kalinda in the moment where she begs for Peebee’s help?
he was maybe a little mad but it wasn’t the end of the world. plus thats his gf so its hard to be mad at her. of course he agreed with peebee that it was only right to save kalinda, even at the expense of the information.
21. Drack: After exposing Spender on the Nexus, his punishment options are imprisonment or exile. Which did Ryder choose? Upon rescuing Vorn and the Seed Vault, Drack threatens the life of Spender’s associate, Aroan. Did Ryder allow his death?
Scotty always went with imprisionmet over exile when those choices were available, and not just in spender’s case. He was not happy with Drack’s threats against Aroan either.
22. Jaal: Jaal asks Ryder to follow his lead, and not be tempted to take Aksuul’s life, but there is a real moment when Aksuul seems as though he is going to shoot Jaal in the face. How did Ryder feel? What did Ryder do: shoot first, or trust Jaal?
we trusted Jaal and did not shoot, but was very tempted to, was possibly in the process of drawing our gun as Aksuul made the shot. had scotty made a shot, he would have made it non-lethal anyways.
23. Does Ryder agree with Suvi’s spiritual perspective on the universe?
not wholeheartedly, but he supports her beliefs and allows that there is so much of the universe that is not known that for all he knows she could be right. she is so much smarter than he is after all.
24. Did Ryder side with Gil or Kallo regarding the Tempest’s ongoing modifications?
Scotty sided with Gil, though he feels for Kallo. Kallo and his crew gave a great baseline with the tempest’s original specs but supports Gil in making new, needed modifications, but while docked and not in the field, you know just in case something goes awry.
25. Was Ryder supportive of Gil’s decision to become a father?
yes because it seemed to him that it was something that Gil wanted. scotty would have been supportive of Gil’s choices in either direction, so long as it was Gil’s choice and not influenced by someone else. (i will admit that i was not always listening with the greatest attention so i might have missed something about these conversations as i have seen much discourse on this subject and Gil’s friendship with Jill. will be more attentive on a later playthrough, but my general impression is that Gil wanted this and was not coerced by Jill.)
The Main Story: 26. After rescuing the Moshae from the facility on Voeld, she begs you to destroy the facility, regardless of the captives still inside. Jaal pleads with you to try and save them. What was Ryder’s choice? Did the Cardinal survive your encounter?
we saved those still inside but the cardinal did not survive.
27. To locate the Archon’s flagship, you need information from Resistance traitor Vehn Terev. Does Ryder rescue Vehn from imprisonment to obtain this intel, or allow him to be executed for his crimes?
Vehn was rescued and turned over to the angara where we later found him on aya doing some manual labor.
28. Upon boarding the Archon’s ship, Ryder discovers that the Kett have been experimenting on the Krogan. Does Ryder rescue the Krogan captives, or opt instead to save the Salarian Pathfinder, Zevin Raeka?
i personally hated this choice because krogan vs salarians again? and i wanted to rescue the krogan, but Scotty saw the value in saving the one originally selected and trained pathfinder he had access to.
29. Which Pathfinders were available to support Ryder during the assault on Meridian? Did Captain Dunn survive the Hyperion’s crash?
Scotty had Vedaria, Rix, and Raeka and Captain Dunn (whom i love!) survived (i am thinking that this is tied to what is basically ryder’s first choice in game, to side with Dunn and wait before going planetside upon arrival in andromeda).
30. Ryder Family Secrets: Did Ryder unlock all of their father’s memories and encrypted logs? I’ll leave this open-ended to encourage wordy responses, but how does Ryder feel about what they learned?
yes, all memories and logs were unlocked. Scotty was in complete shock over the final revelation. he is angry with alec for the deception but can’t be too angry because its his mom after all. he is trying not to be too hopeful that she will be cured and return to his life, but Scotty knows that its something that Sara really wants. he is going to try not to think about it much and just keep going on as before.
