ok so like i been Thinkin a lot on that stream techno had today and i may be Thinkin Too Much cuz i was doing psychology while watching but im going to say Words Now

the entire idea and Plot of tommy going from only interacting/being manipulated by dream to only interacting with techno is a Lot. theres a lot here. and i am feasting like a fucking king on the potential of it and what this could all Mean

I think we’re building up the idea of how techno and dream differ and how they house both similarities and extreme differences in their ideals. 

So if we considered how Tommy’s arcs have changed theres a very, VERY clear juxtaposition between the exile arc to.... raccoon arc? whatever the fuck is goin on

Tommy Was manipulated, isolated, and gaslit by dream. that was the only guy he really had interacted with and that was Intentional entirely. Its very obvious this will have and currently has an affect on tommy. 

Now, he’s with technoblade. theres a lot of shit that can be read in this simply as considered right now. I feel we’re clearly supposed to at least somehow compare dream and technoblade because their positions are somewhat similar concerning how they are interacting with tommy. 

Tommy can only really interact with techno, only techno really has the ability to see him (although ranboo, ghostbur, and phil could see him but theres obvious difficulties in their case), and how tommy regards technoblade is.... complicated. like how he regards dream at the moment.

but theres some really, really important and clear differences in this that i think will show a lot about techno’s character and what’s to come

first of all, there’s a question of why techno is seemingly ‘letting’ tommy live with him. No joke, i’ve discussed this a LOT in the technocord and it’s made me realize it from a different perspective since many of those people in there are from Before techno joined the smp.

so, there’s no clear ‘rational’ reason why techno would benefit from teaming with tommy. there’s some arguments that could be made; tommy’s position with people and especially tubbo, using tommy as a bargaining chip with dream, and something else i cant remember. but the technocord hardcore ppl feel tommy is a liability in the long term. techno doesn’t really have much to gain beyond a distraction. the idea of using tommy in order to convince him he’s getting the disks and then to destroy lmanberg is kinda.... its jus more trouble to techno. In fact, it wouldve been defendable for techno to kick him out; he stole his stuff, and we saw how he reacted to his cows being killed, his previous base being pillaged. You’d have thought techno wouldve been angrier.

but like. that aside. there’s little reason for techno to open up to tommy. and thats the point.

there’s no necessity on techno’s part. he doesnt need tommy. he could kick him out easily. but he won’t. 

I imagine technoblade sees the trauma and hardship tommy went through and he sympathizes with him. Its been made clear that techno doesnt know the full extent of what happened, but he doesnt need to. he knows enough. 

Now, back to the happenings of the last stream,

it wasnt plot heavy at all. (mostly because techno’s fuckign glasses are held together with SCOTCH TAPE the guy couldnt even fucking use ducttape i hate that) but there were a Few interesting things, including the Plot Stream a bit;

the ‘box’ techno made with the idea of hiding tommy from dream. (perhaps a joke but it still shows something i feel)

how he’s been giving tommy a Lot of stuff. he hasnt Genuinely been upset at his golden apples being taken; in fact, techno gave him more food in protest of him eating all the gapples instead of.... demanding them back

went mining in the nether with the intention of getting tommy better stuff

he replaced the log he accidentally stripped. extremely funny considering he got the wrong type of wood but he tried

expending more resources on tommy with invisibility potions so that he wasnt in danger of being seen

Repeatedly would assure tommy that dream Is Not His Friend.

at the idea of tommy being ‘banned’ from the nether and being attacked in lmanberg, techno laughed at the idea of him being ‘attacked’ and killed even when tommy worried that he’d die for the Last Time

implicated that techno WOULD defend him. and the idea of someone killing Either him or tommy was funny because of that

okay so slight comparison to dream; techno is instead GIVING tommy resources instead of blowing them up, he’s obviously intent on protecting him in some way, and he assures tommy that dream is No Good (rather than how dream was telling tommy no one cared about him)

But there’s one instance that was really, really important to me

the control room had a very bad impact on tommy. most likely a panic attack (the shaking, heavy breathing, scattered speech/thought is something i know so intimately lmao) and techno’s reaction to it was extremely interesting. 

first, techno said he was ‘freaking out for no reason’ which could be a) techno is horrific at emotions and vulnerability lmao and b) to Him, it Is nothing. he has no clue what tommy had been through. 

He repeatedly asked what was wrong. what had happened in that room. He pressed Slightly. but as soon as tommy said he didnt want to talk about that, techno instantly backed off and said its alright. specifically, he said:

“It’s fine, no one recovers in a day tommy. Healing is a long process, it’s fine.”

that shit hit me like a freight train. Mostly i didnt expect anything to come from this stream like that but FUCK LMAO.

The biggest thing is, i think technoblade is going to help tommy heal from the dream shit and get back on his feet. 

but also, even though im not entirely sure i need to see more, tommy will get techno to be more caring. We know philza is the only one techno is really close to, and ghostbur as well. both of which either weren’t involved in betraying techno, or doesnt remember it. i see it pointed out that techno is going at tubbo and his government rather than dream, but i think it makes sense. 

dream technically hasnt challenged techno’s ideals or what he wants; while tubbo stole from him, used him as a weapon, and reinstated a government despite everything techno was saying. 

Tommy took part in betraying him, thats without a doubt. but tommy was also screwed over by the government in place. so techno empathizes with him. maybe they dont fully trust each other, but thats a work in progress. and it will progress to technoblade trusting tommy despite their past, and realizing that dream is in a position of power over Everyone. 

tl:dr: tommy is going to heal with techno’s help and full come to terms with/realize what dream did to him, and techno is going to realize he CAN trust people and that dream has been the one pulling the strings all along

Charlie Slimecicle x Reader [she/her used]

It had been hours since y/n had started her stream. At the beginning of it she’d been working on the origins SMP and grinding at gathering supplies and resources while everyone else was off doing other things. A few times someone had popped onto the VC she sat in, Niki had talked while eating dinner and Ranboo had came to recount his day, but otherwise she had remained alone in the beginning.

But it had been several hours since then. Now it was 3 going on 4 in the morning. She sat curled up on her gaming chair, her eyelids just barely staying open. She was exhausted, but she was determined to stay awake until someone else started streaming. To pass the time, y/n had been interacting with chat and reading aloud donations.

“Hello?” A voice came through her headphones and she jumped, nearly falling out of her seat. “y/n?”

“Oh! Philza!” He chuckled a bit. Her voice sounded light and she began to yawn halfway through her sentence. “How nice to see you. What are you doing up?”

“Well it’s roughly noon for me and I was about to start streaming.”

“Ah. Of course.” She began to tap at some buttons, readying to move around her audience.

“Have you been awake for long?”

“Yeah. But I had a few people visit me.” As the notification of Phil going live dropped, she sent everyone over with a wave. “Niki and Ran came by.”

“Aw you sound disappointed.”

“Well I wanted somebody to come by but I guess he was too busy.”

Philza laughed again. “Yeah? And who’s somebody?”

In her stupor she giggled and winked towards a camera that wasn’t on anymore. “I can’t tell you who I have a crush on.”

The man froze, watching his chat go by a mile a minute. They kept throwing names around, even if they didn’t make sense, and he knew this wouldn’t end up any where good if it progressed. “Is it alright if we talk about this later? Why don’t you get some sleep.”

She yawned and stretched. She slowly went to get out of her chair. “Alright dad. Goodnight. I love you.”

“Love you too.” The discord call made the familiar noise of someone disconnecting and y/n turned off her display. She went and slunk into her bed, nesting underneath the covers, and quickly drifted to sleep.

y/n woke up a few hours later. As she sat up the first thing she did was reach for her phone to see a missed call from Ranboo. She went to call back and he picked up almost immediately.

“You are so dumb.”

She groaned and wiped at the sleep in her eyes. “Can I be awake for five minutes first.”

“No actually. You’re trending on Twitter.”

She squinted, trying to recall anything. “Did I do something bad? Was it last night or....?”

“It wasn’t like. Bad. But it was last night. You told Phil on live that you have a crush on someone.”

She paused, feeling her face grow warm with embarrassment. “Did I say who it was?”

“No you didn’t.” She sighed and felt herself relax a bit. “But they’re trying to figure it out. You didn’t make it very hard.”

“Well I didn’t say a name.”

“Yeah so you let them pick from the six men your age who have been on this server. Like I said you’re dumb.”

She sat up and got out of her bed, letting Ranboo sit next to her on speaker. She went to her desk and booted up her computer. She pulled up twitch on one monitor and Twitter on another. Loading up the streaming site, she sorted through all of us Phil’s new clips to look for last night. She found it quickly and began playing it.

“Have you been awake long?”

“Yeah. But I had a few people come visit me.... Niki and Ran came by.”

“Aw you sound disappointed.”

“Well I wanted somebody to come by but I guess he was too busy.”

Philza’s laugh echoed through her monitor’s speakers. “Yeah? And who’s that somebody?”

“I can’t tell you who I have a crush on.”

The clip ended with Philza glancing wide eyed between the camera and his computer monitors. y/n sighed and looked over at her other monitor. Her twitch name was trending. She clicked on the tag and scrolled through countless tweets of clips of her and other boys from the Origins SMP. There were ones of her and Jack, her and Charlie, her and Wilbur, her and Sneeg, and even her and Tommy or Tubbo. She took the time to respond to ones of her and the younger boys, emphasizing that if anyone was going to speculate anything it wasn’t going to be with her and children.

“Ran, what do I do?”

“Ignore it? It’s not like you have an actual crush on any one right?”

She paused, chewing the inside of her cheek. “Ran..”

“Oh! Oh my god!” He started laughing and y/n could hear him fall from his chair onto the floor. He kept laughing as he got up. “Oh please tell me who it is-“

“No! I’m an adult! I don’t have crushes on boys.”

“Oh that is fake!” He kept laughing and y/n rested her head in her hands. “You know you might as well tell me who it is.”

“Yeah fucking right.”

“I’ll black mail you.”

“No you won’t!”

“I’ll show Tubbo your number and he’ll leak it.”

“To who.”

“The discord.”

y/n rolled her eyes. “Yeah yeah yeah. When are you getting on.”

“An hour-ish.”

“I’ll see you then.”

“Alright byeeeeeee.”

Ranboo ended the call and y/n sighed. If she told Ranboo who she liked, he’d eventually tell Tubbo, who’d eventually tell Tommy, until he told someone and so on so forth. They were teenage boys. It wasn’t a very lucrative group. And Tommy seemed to record with Charlie almost every week. It seemed impossible to get by without disrupting something.

y/n went on to busy herself around her home for the next hour or so, doing some cleaning and other chores that had to be done. When she finished, she made her way to her pc to begin recording. She wasn’t planning on a live stream today, but a recording session would still do her channel good.

As she sat to boot up Mojang, she pulled up discord on her second monitor. She saw the kids already in a call; Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo.

“Hey boys.” She slipped on her headphones as she entered the call, but they were all yelling.

“DON’T YELL AT ME.”

“I’L YELL AT WHOEVER I WANT WHEN I KNOW I’M RIGHT.”

“ARE YOU TOMMY? ARE YOU RIGHT?”

“Hi y/n.” Both boys stopped yelling as Tubbo pointed out that she had arrived. “Ranboo’s live by the way.”

“Thanks Tubbo. Are you guys on origins?”

“Yep!”

“Great, I’ll be on in a sec.” As she opened the world, she spawned somewhere she didn’t remember. It was dark around her, like she was swallowed by obsidian. “Uhhh, boys? I might be stuck.”

“I told you! I told you I was right! Chat tell Ranboo he’s an idiot!” Tommy started yelling again as Ranboo tried to tell him to shut up.

“That doesn’t explain why I’m surrounded by obsidian. I don’t have a pick!”

“Well, y/n,” she looked over to her discord call to see all the boys had their cameras on now. They all sat with their hands crossed while wearing sunglasses. Ranboo had his full mask on. Meaning he probably had camera on for his stream. Tubbo cleared his throat as he kept talking. “We have some questions for you.”

“If I answer can I get out of here?”

“If you answer honestly.” Ranboo leaned forwards a bit. “You told Philza Minecraft you had a crush on someone, correct?”

“Yeah. Sure. Might I add you’re all immature?”

“Is this crush, a man? Hmm?” Tommy tipped his sunglasses downwards slightly.

“Yes. How many more questions?”

“You’re not done. Is it someone on this server?”

“Does that matter Tubbo?”

“YES.” All the boys shouted in unison.

“Jeez fine. He has played on multiple servers, this could be one of them.”

Tommy slammed his fist on his desk. “HONESTY.”

“YES. HE IS.”

Ranboo gave a fake evil chuckle. “So it’s someone we know. A man we know. A gamer we know. One of us.”

“Yeah yeah.” y/n quickly pulled up twitch on her third monitor, making sure that he wasn’t watching Ranboo’s stream.

“Now y/n. I’m muted on my stream right now. Is it Wilbur?”

“Uhh…” He was there. He was watching the stream. Whatever she answered, he’d know.

“Wilbur! It’s Wilbur!” The boys started cheering as she realized that she didn’t quite answer. But as long as Charlie didn’t know the truth.

“Yeah. Can I come out now?” She watched charlie’s name disappear from the chat. In her game, Ranboo’s character came over to set her free from the obsidian.

“Thank you for your honesty.”

“Yeah no worries. I’ll see you later boys.” She logged out of the server and scooted away from the monitors. She knew she made a bigger problem for herself.

She walked over to her bedside table, taking her phone off the charge, and went to face time Wilbur. He picked up quickly, holding the phone extremely close to his face.

“y/n!”

“Are you streaming?”

“No not at the moment.”

“Great because I fucked something up.”

“Oooooh tell me.” Wilbur propped up his phone in front of him and took a drink of something in a mug.

“So the children- did you see the clip from Phil’s stream?”

“Absolutely. Continue.”

“They went and cornered me into telling who my crush is. And they said you and I was distracted so they assumed you-“

“Is it me?”

“No fuck off. But now everyone thinks it’s you and even worse, the actual person was watching! He thinks I have a crush on you and I don’t know if that’s good or bad.”

Wilbur nodded. “Well who is?”

y/n pursed her lips, thinking for a moment before admitting the truth out loud for the first time. “Charlie.”

Wilbur froze, then scrambled to pick up his phone. “I have to go.”

“WILBUR NO.”

The line went dead from Wilbur’s end and y/n groaned, chucking her phone against her pillows. She rubbed at her eyes with her palms, deciding she might as well continue recording.

y/n logged back onto the Origins server, keeping herself out of the active discord calls. She could see that the three boys were still in a call, and Wilbur was talking with Philza. She rolled her shoulders back, getting into the mindset to record.

“Hey everybody!” y/n went on start the recording, talking mostly to herself about finishing construction on her house. It was quite a tall house, built of mostly stone and cobble, but she was still proud of it. The bottom two floors were reserved for storage and mining, and there was one room of entirely water for Niki. The top floor was a large spread patio frames in by dark oak fencing with a glass roof surrounded by dark oak half slabs. Her being a skeleton in the game, having a vantage point helped her snipe enemy mobs. It was also conviennent for attacking creepers to get music discs. She had quite the collection growing already.

“Okay so if I-“ y/n paused, looking over at her other monitor. In the main chat of the Origins SMP server, Wilbur had a sent a singular message.

WilburSoot: dress formally for an event in 2 hours time hosted at the Pubé

y/n took a breath, a bit nervous of what that meant, but still responded to let him know she would be there. In the meantime, she continued on her video, taking the 2 hour period to build herself a lovely garden area and an additional storage area deep underground.

“Thank you everyone! I hope to see you all soon.” She ended the recording and took a breath. There were 15 minutes until Wilbur’s event, and she supposed she had to dress nicer than her pajamas.

A moment later, she returned to her computer wearing her favorite sweater and a comfortable pair of pants. Looking over at discord, she could see most of the Origins SMP members in a discord call together, excluding only Schlatt, Technoblade, and SMajor. She took a breath, thinking for a moment, then clicked into the call.

“Hello?”

“y/n!!!” Jack’s voice screamed through her headphones.

“Sorry he’s a bit loud.”

“OI. AM NOT.”

“Come down mate.” Philza cleared his throat. “y/n. Lovely to have you.”

“Thanks Phil.”

“Before we start, no one’s live at all.”

She paused cueing up the game, her mouse hovering over the server. “Before we start what?”

No one answered. Quietly, she entered the server and made her way to the Pubé.

“Welcome to event of the century.” Ranboo’s character jumped up and down. Every one stood in the Pubé facing her.

“Alright. And what kind of event is this?”

“A ball! With food and drink provided by Philza and music provided by Tommy.” Wilbur’s character ran over to the jukebox in the corner to show her.

“That’s lovely, Will. Was I supposed to be more dressed up?”

“I think you’re perfect as is.” Charlie’s character jumped up and down. She paused, trying to swallow the giddy feeling rising in her chest.

“Let’s begin! Tommy, the music?” Wilbur turned the the teen as he placed the music discs. y/n watched everyone pair off, leaving her and Wilbur alone. Wilbur walked over to her, hitting her playfully.

“Hey Wilbur.” y/n looked over as the two went into a separate call.

“y/n!!! How are you doing? Enjoying the party?”

“Well I haven’t been here very long.” She held her hands closed over her lap. “Wilbur, I feel like there’s something going on here.”

“It’ll be fine. Trust me?”

She sighed, a smile playing at her lips. “Fine.”

“Good.” She could hear the smile in his voice. “Maybe dance around a bit. I’m going to talk with Phil.”

They both left the chat, Wilbur entering a call of just him and Philza and y/n entering the main room. The music was still playing. Everyone seemed to have split off into groups, leaving her alone. She sat by herself, watching everyone mingle about. It was only her in the main call, leaving everyone else in groups, but it was nice. She turned her head to watch her second monitor, seeing Charlie move out of the call with Wilbur and Philza to the main room with herself.

“H-Hey there.” She watched Charlie’s small character bounce over to her. “How’s it hangin?”

“Oh. Uhm. Good I guess. It’s nice to see you back on the server.”

“Yeah I guess I haven’t played in a while. I mean I haven’t streamed that much either but I’ve been recording.”

“That’s nice!”

“Yeah. I mean I’ve been able to watch other streams though.”

y/n thought back Ranboo’s stream earlier in the day, knowing full well Charlie had been watching that one. “Right.”

“We don’t have to talk about it. I mean I know how you feel.”

“Oh. Oh no please tell me Wilbur didn’t say anything.” y/n rubbed at her forehead with the heel of her palms. Convincing the internet she was in love with Wilbur Soot had been a problem in its own, but Wilbur telling Charlie she had a crush on him? “Look Charlie I’m sorry I didn’t want him to tell you it’s just- god you’re so nice and funny and really cute and it’s a stupid crush I never wanted to ruin our friendship. I’m so sorry Charlie.”

The other end of the call was quiet for a moment, but then she head Charlie almost laugh. “You have a crush on me?”

The realization washed over like a tsunami. He’d been talking about the stream, Wilbur hadn’t said anything. “God no wait Charlie-“

“On me? You have a crush on me?”

“Okay now you’re just rubbing it in. I take it back.”

“You can’t take that back!”

“Why not?”

“Because I don’t want you to.”

y/n paused, a smile creeping on her face. “Are you telling me that you have a crush on me over a Minecraft server?”

“You said it first!”

She glanced over at the camera on her computer for a moment. “We could have avoided this the whole time?”

“I- yeah we could’ve.”

y/n giggled, resting her face in her hands. “Is this our first date then?

“No!” She could hear Charlie suck in a breath. “I mean, let me take you somewhere better. Just give me a few days?”

“Days? That’s speedy isn’t it?”

“Okay Maybe weeks. But I’ll take you somewhere. Anywhere. Trust me.”

“Of course.”

She could hear Charlie laugh on the other end of the call. “Until then, how much time do we have to make up for?”

She smiled, settling herself into her chair. “Charlie, more than you could ever think.”

Dream SMP Recap (January 5/2021) - The Second Festival

Today was the long-awaited, highly-anticipated, tension-filled, extremely melodramatic event full of one-liners, heartbreak, and ever-changing loyalties...

DISC UPDATE: Dream now has “Mellohi”

---

- Fundy prepares the Festival games

- Ranboo speaks with Tubbo. Tubbo still feels like this is just history repeating itself, and he has reservations on whether it’s the right thing to do. Ranboo says he thinks it is.

- Fundy and Niki come to speak with Tubbo and Ranboo. The other guests include Puffy, Hbomb, Eret, Punz, Ponk and Jack Manifold.

- Quackity arrives. The cabinet leaves to convene at the Camarvan. They all agree that Tubbo deserves to be the one to get the kill, but...if things go wrong...Quackity takes charge.

- They stand on the podium and greet the guests. Tubbo gives a speech.

Tubbo: “Let the festival begin.”

- Afterwards, Fundy shows the guests his Ring Toss game!

- Meanwhile, Techno is at his house and speaks to Phil about his plans to attend the Festival. Tommy comes along. He wants to get the disc from Dream, and heard that Dream would be there. 

- Tommy brings out the Tubbo compass to help find him. Techno says that Tommy is worthy to wield the Axe and gives it to him. 

- Techno says if they see a chance to kill Tubbo, they should take it. Tommy protests and says they should be going for Dream, not Tubbo. 

- Meanwhile, Fundy and the others gather at the food stand for snacks! Sam has logged in.

- Tommy and Techno make it to land and stumble across the Vault, shocked and puzzled by it.

Techno: “I don’t think we’re in L’manburg anymore, Tommy...”

- Fundy has on the Butcher Army outfit and Niki confronts him about it. Tommy and Techno arrive at New L’manburg, invisible.

- Techno, still invisible, chases after Ranboo to meet with him. They meet in Purpled’s Skull Base. Ranboo tells them about Dream, and how he’d be following the laws...which means no armor.

- Dream joined the game. It’s time.

- The L’manburgians consider giving Dream a codename.

- Dream starts placing obsidian outside L’manburg

- They speak to him. He says Tommy fucked up and starts leading them somewhere...

The Community House is destroyed.

- Tommy says he didn’t do it when Techno asks, but the L’manburgians seem to believe it. Dream says that Tubbo is affiliated with the issue because he has one of the discs. Dream asks for the disc.

- Tommy can’t help it anymore and jumps into the ruins of the Community House to intervene. Techno joins the call as well.

- Tubbo agrees to hand over the disc. Tommy and Tubbo have a confrontation.

They then start to genuinely fight each other.

 Tommy: “THE DISCS WERE WORTH MORE THAN YOU EVER WERE.”

There’s a moment of silence and both of them stop.

Tommy tells Tubbo to give Mellohi to Dream. Tubbo does so.

- Tommy decides he wants to be with Tubbo. Techno is outraged that Tommy would switch sides.

- Dream tells Tubbo that he’s an idiot and reveals Ranboo’s Memory Book to Tubbo.

- Dream asks if Techno has any withers...3pm tomorrow, L’manburg is going to be destroyed. Tommy kills Tubbo’s dog.

- Dream leaves. Techno says that Tommy isn’t worthy anymore and asks for Tommy to give him back the Axe of Peace. Tommy says no...he is worthy.

- Techno leaves. He returns to his base and encounters Phil still working on his farm. Phil is confused at why Tommy hasn’t come back.

- Dream joins Techno’s call and comes over to speak about their plans. Techno leads him to his secret vault and shows him the wither skulls - though he’s hidden many of them away from sight. Dream says the plan for tomorrow is that he’ll do the destroying while it’s Techno’s job to protect him.

Dream: “I have one more key aspect to the plan, but I can’t tell you until tomorrow...just in case. It guarantees our victory, though.”

---

- Ghostbur joins the call and starts exposing taxes.

- Tommy rallies all of the people at the Community House into one army. Punz speaks and says that he feels that Dream has gone too far, and that he’s on L’manburg’s side.

- Sapnap speaks up. He isn’t sure if he can join L’manburg for this one, not when Dream is one of his closest friends. Tommy says he’ll speak with Sapnap one on one tomorrow. 

- Niki accuses Tommy of being the one to cause all the problems. Fundy gives a speech about how it’s “us vs. them” now, and they have to set all their personal issues aside. Tommy insists that the Community House wasn’t his fault.

- Sam asks Tommy to swear upon something he loves that the Community House wasn’t his doing. Tommy swears on Church Prime that it wasn’t him.

- Tommy goes to speak with Tubbo, but they just can’t do this right now. They’ll speak tomorrow. 

- Meanwhile, the army gathers at the Fortress. Niki is still angry at Tommy, 

- Quackity and Tubbo speak one on one. Quackity is livid about Ranboo betraying them and says he wants to see Ranboo executed.

Tubbo tells him that doing so would just be history repeating itself. They can’t do that. If he killed Ranboo, that would be treason.

Quackity tells him that he’s stepping away from L’manburg, and that Tubbo needs to put his foot down and establish some order in the country.

- Tommy sits on the bench and watches the sunset alone. There are no discs to listen to, just Minecraft music.

- Tommy speaks with Connor and evicts him from his house. Connor tells him that he doesn’t think Tommy’s a bad person, just conflicted. Connor now lives in Ninja’s old home.

- Ranboo asks why they are putting so much emphasis on sides rather than people? Eret gives a speech about the greater good. 

Ranboo points out that they’re just picking sides again.

Ponk: “It is what it is...”

- Fundy asks about the Memory Book. Ranboo gives his talk about how he picks people, not sides. Home isn’t where a country is! Conflicts should be between people, not countries.

- Tubbo gives a speech to everyone. Everyone is now standing side-by-side, gathered, united, with the common goal to save L’manburg. This is their final stand. 

Operation: Don’t Get Our Home Blown Up (DGOHBU) has begun.

- Sam reminisces about all the old times they’d had in the Community House

- Ranboo wanders off on his own. He thinks that he’s completely alone, and not even Fundy is with him anymore. Dream joins the call.

- Techno tells Phil about Tommy switching sides. He needs to get his dogs from L’manburg before Tommy tells the army about them. He says he can only trust common interest now, and he and Dream share that common interest. Phil agrees that L’manburg has caused only problems since he’s joined.

- They sneak beneath the Community House into the sewers as the army gathers above and find the dogs. They move them to a more hidden chamber.

- Fundy walks down the path on his own with his thoughts. 

- Fundy sees Technoblade running beneath the ground of L’manburg. He sneaks down through the sewers and sees Techno. Techno sees him.

Technoblade: Run.

- Fundy starts running and attempts to use his boat projection to try and keep safe, but Technoblade shoots him down all the same. He goes back to gather his stuff.

“I know he’s there....I know he’s there.”

- Fundy uses a boat to project again and sneaks down again to have another look around, but doesn’t find the hidden chamber.

- Phil and Techno panic now that everyone knows they’re there. They start running.

- Ranboo is in his obsidian shelter speaking with Dream, questioning if he really did the right thing.

- Eret cleans up at the Community House. 

- Dream points out that by not picking a side, Ranboo did pick a side.

Ranboo: “I didn’t betray anyone.” Dream: “...You betrayed everyone.”

- Dream starts telling Ranboo about all the bad things he’s done that Ranboo doesn’t even remember. That Ranboo helped blow up the Community House, didn’t he? 

Dream: “I’m not even real.”

- Ranboo is lost and confused about what to believe. He starts writing in a book again. He plays Mellohi and blacks out his screen.

- Fundy puts together a board of things he needs and monologues a lot about Technoblade while gathering resources.

*SPOILERS FOR THE SECOND DREAM SMP WAR*

(everything I talk about is from tubbo, wilbur, and technos povs)

SHIT WENT DOWN TODAY LADS, GALS, AND PALS

okay everyone was on today. literally everyone and most of everything that happened before wilbur and tommy got on was just people bouncing from vc to vc, theorising who the traitor was, and last minute plans and loot gathering

tubbo and quackity had a moment before they gathered with techno, fundy, and niki. as they gathered, eret joined them and stated that dream stripped him of his title of king of the smp

they adopted eret into the group as wilbur and tommy joined the server

wilbur and tommy talked for a bit with each other before joining the pogtopia vc as they were yelled at by the same vc to join the call

once they did, chaos from that many people errupted and they moved from their spot to pogtopia over the span of a slow 10 minutes.

techno got tired of it and just yelled at everyone to head to his base under the lake. once they were all assembled in the public part of it, techno activated a secret door to a lower chamber with dozens of fully stocked chests full of weapons, foods, gear, and 5 full pieces of netherite armor

it was actually fucking crazy and everyone was wearing armor, except wilbur. once everyone gathered what they wanted, they returned to the surface where skeppy, bbh, and antfrost were waiting for them. the entire group of wilbur, tommy, tubbo, techno, quackity, fundy, niki, eret, bbh, skeppy, and ant made their way back to manberg

as soon as pogtopia was within range, schlatt and dream opened fire from eret's tower and the war officially started

pogtopia stormed the tower and chaos errupted. I couldn't understand anything anyone was saying but dream and schlatt ender pearled out of the tower towards manberg. idk if karl was actually fighting with dream and schlatt but he died several times but not really anyone else died

during the chaos, dream typed in chat asking to talk to wilbur. after agreeing to it and telling everyone to stand down, dream moved wilbur into a private vc. dream flat out said that schlatt's an idiot and wilbur was like yeah we know what's your point?

dream then says to join the vc with everyone else and after wilbur told everyone to shut up, dream said that they surrendered and led the group of like 15 ppl to the hto van. schlatt was there unarmed and defenseless

schlatt was washed up, drunk, and senile and it was actually really sad seeing the manburg dictator like that in the moment. jumping out of his stupor, schlatt started just punching fundy even though it pointless, he started calling quackity a flatty patty and so on and so forth. tommy eventually stepped in with an arrow loaded into dreams crossbow and pointed it at schlatt. words were exchanged and before tommy could fire the arrow, schlatt fell out of the world.

everyone was shocked but nonetheless, they started celebrating because the war was officially over and manburg was won back. in the celebration, wilbur told everyone to shut up again in order for dream to say that their was no traitor and he had lied about it.

more celebratory shouts and stuff happened, the vc was chaos, and whatever but wilbur told everyone to head to the podium. in doing so, wilbur told tommy to get on the mic as the president elect of manburg.

shocked, tommy took the stage for his first official speech as the president for manburg. tommy said it was a hard won honor to be on that stage back in manburg, and decreed that it was meant to be. he then said that manburg would again be known as l'manburg. everyone celebrated but tommy stopped them and said that he couldn't stay on as president, not until he got his disks back from skeppy. he then named wilbur as president to replace him

after tommy left the podium and wilbur stood in front of everyone, he decreed that the flag that signified schlatt's regime was to be taken down and l'manburg's yellow, red, white, and blue flag be errected once again. more cheers but wilbur stopped these as well and stated that technoblade had taught wilbur a lot and that in doing so, wilbur could no longer trust the government. wilbur conceded as president and named tubbo as president of l'manburg

wilbur left the podium and tubbo replaced him. tubbo have a fantastic speech and stated that they had a lot of work to do to fix up l'manburg but it was finally theirs again. and it was to be a place that everyone on the smp would be welcomed

everyone was finally allowed to cheer now that tubbo was the official president of l'manburg. while everyone was celebrating, wilbur said he'd be right back, exited the vc, and started making his way behind the podium. behind where the white house once stood...

wilbur than began to say chekhov's gun over and over again. he then entered the button room and sat down in the chair, looking at the button

eleven and a half stacks of tnt was rigged to blow under l'manburg and wilbur said that as long as the button was there, he just couldn't not press it

in the middle of wilbur's mental breakdown, the philza minecraft joined the vc and asked wilbur what he was doing. wilbur lied and said that he celebrating in l'manburg and trying to act cool

philza joined the game and spawned in the button room, behind wilbur

philza tried to talk sense into wilbur and tried to have him back away from the button. wilbur fully lost it and said that he was the traitor and had been all along

wilbur pressed the button, turned his back to it, and saluted philza as the tnt exploded and put a massive crater in l'manburg

philza killed wilbur and immediately took off through the crater, leaving wilbur in his madness as he laughed on. wilbur then stated that the traitor was both him and techno and that techno was going to spawn withers on top of the ruins of manburg

true to his word, techno spawned two and it was chaos, everyone was fighting a wither (one was called subscribe to technoblade)

in the chaos wilbur said that he wished the best to tubbo's presidency and that wilbur would be back very, very soon on the smp. he then ended stream and logged off

chaos ensued and tommy and tubbo managed some control after the withers were killed and asked everyone who remained on pogtopia/l'manburg's side to join a vc

techno then started lighting off his own three stacks of tnt on whatever was left of l'manburg. dream and george helped and everyone else who hadn't join the l'manburg vc just pretty much talked amongst themselves casually

in the mean time, dream said that his agreement with wilbur (I guess THE agreement about being a traitor idk) was that no matter what, l'manburg would blow up

I don't know what tommy and l'manburg talked about during this time, I had had to stop watching the streams but this is was happened today and holy fuck

they started taking down the festival decorations and dream said oh yeah no there was a traitor

Stray Cat - chapter nine

Rating: Mature Word Count: 2454 Warnings: Past Abuse, Past Rape/Non-con, Slow Burn, Eventual Smut Summary: Phil Lester believes that if he does good things then good things will happen to him, so on one of the worst days of his life he invites a rain-soaked Neko boy named Dan into his home. Phil has never met a Neko before and he knows nothing about the dark system that has molded Dan. Dan is part of a repressed population with few rights, and as Phil gets to know him he can’t understand why – Dan is the most amazing person he has ever met. — As Phil closed the stationary store for the night, he was running scenarios through his mind. He couldn’t help picturing the best and most selfish scenario in which when he came home Dan was waiting and ready to give him a second chance.

Dan had asked him this morning ‘Why do you like me?’ but Phil had frozen and been unable to answer. In this scenario, Dan gave him another chance to answer and Phil told him that he liked him because he was funny and sweet and clever and… and Phil just couldn’t stop thinking about him. About his laugh and his dimples and the way he talks.

Phil sighed and tried to push these thoughts from his mind. He had accepted that he wasn’t going to get the best scenario, and he had to be okay with this because the best scenario wasn’t the one that was best for Dan, just Phil. He was selfish. He shouldn’t have kissed Dan this morning. Dan didn’t need someone making a pass at him right now – he needed a friend. So, Phil had to stop and try to take back this morning.

Really, all he should hope for would be that Dan was still willing to talk to him when he got home, so that he could say he was sorry and that it wouldn’t happen again. He pictured this ideal scenario. He would come home and they would talk. It might take some time for things to get back to normal as Phil proved to Dan that he could trust him. All he wanted was for Dan to be in his life.

By the time Phil walked home, it was dark out and he had gathered his thoughts enough that he wasn’t too nervous as he unlocked the door of his apartment. As he locked the door again and put the chain across, he shouted into the hall, “I’m home!”

It was 7:30PM, so Dan should definitely be awake, but he didn’t respond. Phil stood in the dark hallway, straining to hear something, but the apartment was silent. He tried again, “Hello?”

Another scenario started to unfold in his mind. Dan had been terrified when Phil grabbed his arm – what if Phil had scared him so badly that he didn’t want to live together anymore? What if he had already left? Phil would have no idea where to look for him if the Neko ran away. He might never see him again.

Panicking, Phil dashed through the apartment. He wasn’t sure what he was looking for since Dan hadn’t brought any bags with him, so Phil couldn’t see if his things were gone. He stopped running suddenly in the living room. No lights were turned on in this room either, but there were enough artificial city lights streaming in from the open curtains that Phil could see. Dan was there, lying on the couch in a bathrobe, facing the wall. He was asleep. He was here. Safe.

Phil stared at him as he tried to even his breathing. He was still tense as his body hadn’t gotten the message yet that everything was okay. Phil crossed the room, wanting to touch Dan to reassure himself that the boy was fine. He sat on the coffee table beside the couch, listening to Dan breathe for a moment before he reached out to stroke his curly hair.

He had only touched him lightly, but Dan stirred. He murmured, “Phil?”

“It’s me,” Phil said in a soft voice. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you.”

“I didn’t realize I’d fallen asleep.” He shifted slightly, made a noise in the back of his throat, and he didn’t try to move any further.

“It’s still pretty early. Have you had dinner?” Phil heard Dan make another noise that seemed to indicate that he had eaten, and Phil bit his lip. He knew Martyn brought over food, but he had pictured them talking about their relationship over dinner. As he stared at Dan’s unmoving form, it was starting to look like none of that mattered anymore. He reached out to touch Dan again, this time resting a hand on Dan’s forehead. “Dan, are you okay? You’re pretty warm.”

Dan groaned. “I don’t feel so good.”

Phil felt himself starting to panic again, but he made sure that his voice sounded calm so that he didn’t scare Dan. “Are you sick? Let me know what I can do.”

Dan shook his head. “I just need rest. You go eat. Your dinner is in the fridge.”

“You sure?” Phil reached out to touch Dan, noting again how hot and clammy his skin was. Dan nodded beneath his hand. “Okay, I’ll be back to check on you soon.”

Phil went to the kitchen and found a container of Indian food in the fridge, which he placed in the microwave. His stomach was twisting with anxiety and he didn’t think that he would be able to eat, but by the time the kitchen was filled with the scent of curry his mouth was watering and he couldn’t deny that he was hungry.

Phil ate quickly so that he could return to the living room, but when he did the couch was empty. He felt that twisting sensation in his stomach again. “Dan?” He heard retching and followed the sound to the bathroom – the door was open and he saw Dan bent over the toilet. “Oh my God, Dan, what’s wrong?”

Dan didn’t respond as Phil knelt beside him and touched the back of his neck. He was burning up. Dan leaned forward and retched again.

“I’m taking you to the hospital. Something is wrong.”

Dan shook his head. In a rasping voice he said, “No hospital. They can’t help with this. I know what’s wrong.”

“Could you tell me please? I’m kind of freaked out.”

Dan shut the lid on the toilet and turned to face Phil. His curly hair was damp with sweat and his cheeks were flushed with fever. “I don’t want you to be scared. Everything will be okay. I’m just… in heat.”

Phil stared at him blankly until he remembered something. On the website with advice for first-time Neko owners, there had been that section that mentioned heat. He looked at Dan – the website hadn’t mentioned anything like this. “I read something about that. You were supposed to be on pills, right? I’m so sorry that I didn’t get you some. I didn’t realize that you could get sick like this.”

Dan shook his head. “It’s not your fault. Mr. Smith told me how expensive the suppressants are – I don’t think you could afford them. But I’ll be fine without them.”

“Wait, there was something else. The website said that there was something owners could do to help. I don’t own you, but could I help?”

Dan gaped at him, but then shook his head slightly. “You don’t know what you just offered to do, do you?”

“No… not really. The website didn’t get specific.”

“It was talking about sex. Sex is supposed to help.” He laughed softly at Phil’s expression. “Yeah, I didn’t think you knew what you were offering. Could you help me up?”

Phil lifted Dan to his feet. He was slightly wobbly and had to lean against the sink while he brushed his teeth. Then Phil led him to the living room with a hand under his elbow in case he fell. Dan sank into the couch with a sigh and closed his eyes. Phil couldn’t help noticing the bulge beneath his bathrobe. Phil looked up to see that Dan’s eyes were open and that he caught Phil staring. “Sorry. It’s just what you said back in the bathroom when I didn’t understand… you don’t want me to? I’m only asking because you didn’t say.”

“No,” Dan said in a flat voice. “I don’t.”

Phil blushed. “I’m sorry. Please don’t think that I was trying to take advantage. I really didn’t understand what I was offering.”

Dan reached out and Phil took his hand. Phil had been awkwardly standing before him, but Dan tugged him a step forward. Phil took that as an invitation to sit. Dan looked miserable, but he tried to give Phil a small smile. “I know you’re not trying to take advantage of me. I’ve thought a lot about what happened earlier today. I know you weren’t trying to hurt me.”

Phil released a breath he hadn’t realized he had been holding. “That’s… good. I’m glad. I’ve been thinking a lot about what happened today, and I had all these things that I was going to tell you when I got home to convince you that I would never hurt you.”

Dan’s smile widened. “You don’t have to convince me. I trust you.”

In this moment, Phil realized how badly he had messed up when he kissed Dan today. He should have done it in a moment like this one – a moment in which they both felt safe. It’s too late now, though. Phil glanced at the path to his bedroom. “I should go. So that you can get some rest.”

“Okay, goodnight.”

As Phil stood up, Dan stretched out on the sofa. Phil smiled at him, and he said with overwhelming fondness, “Night, Dan.”        

Phil went to his bedroom and shut the door. He sighed in relief as he stripped off his work clothes and changed into his pajamas. Then he looked at his bed. It was early – once again he had gone to bed early so that Dan could rest in the living room; Phil wished he had a second bedroom.

Phil crawled into bed and turned his laptop on. He pulled up Google at first, thinking that he should do some research about what was wrong with Dan. Research had helped him last time to feel like he had a handle on the situation, but Phil closed the webpage. He didn’t want to do research; he wanted a distraction. Phil logged into Netflix, plugged in his headphones, and started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

A while later, Phil heard a knock on his door. He pulled the headphones out of his ears and he paused the episode. “Dan, is that you? You can come in.”

“Who else would it be?” Dan opened the door slightly and peaked in. His face was still flushed with a fever, but he looked shy. A bit nervous. “I saw the light and knew you were still up, so I thought I could ask…”

“What is it?” He started to shift the laptop off his lap. “Did you change your mind about the hospital? Do you want me to take you there?”

“No, I’m not going to change my mind about that. I’m sure that the man who bought me will be checking places like hospitals for me. I’m not going back to him. I’d rather die.”

Phil nodded, thinking he should have realized that Dan was avoiding places like hospitals. “So, what is it that you needed?”

Dan leaned against the doorway and his face flushed a bit more. “I was wondering if I could come in.”

“Sure.” Phil glanced at the left side of his bed, and he scooted over a bit to make room. “You want to lie down?”

“Thanks, Phil.” Dan crawled beneath the blue and green duvet and settled into the pillows. He looked at Phil’s laptop. “What are you watching?”

“Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was my favorite show when I was in high school. I used to make all my friends watch it. Have you ever seen it?”

Dan shook his head. “No, but I’m curious. I’d like to watch it.”

Phil hovered his laptop’s cursor over the ‘pause’ button, but he didn’t un-pause the show. “You really want to watch Buffy now? Are you okay? I… just don’t know what you need. I want to help you. Dan, what did you come in here for?”

“This,” Dan said, as he settled deeper beneath the duvet. “Let me know if this isn’t okay. I know I’m invading your space, but it’s helping.”

“Don’t worry about it – I like having you in my space.” Phil smiled. “But it helps? Really?”

“It does.” Dan nodded. “I wasn’t sure when I first decided to come in here, but it does. I feel close to you, just lying here beside you, and it helps. Don’t worry, Phil. This is all I need. I just want to lie here beside you.” Dan glanced up at him with large brown eyes. “You’re sure this is okay?”

“Yes, of course.” Phil laughed, and without thinking about it he slipped his arm around Dan and pulled the Neko against his side. “You still want to watch Buffy?”

“Uh, yes please.” He seemed a bit distracted by the change in position.

“Do you want me to restart the episode? I’m about 15 minutes in.” Phil unplugged the headphones from his laptop so that they would both be able to hear.

“That’s okay. You can just un-pause it here.”

They started watching the episode and Phil briefly explained the premise. By the end Dan said he liked it and watched to watch more, so Phil started the next episode. When Dan’s head settled against Phil’s shoulder a few moments later, Phil realized that he had fallen asleep, so he closed his laptop. He was tired now too, and he wanted nothing more than to sleep beside Dan.

Moving carefully so that he didn’t wake up Dan, he placed his laptop aside and turned off the lamp. Phil shifted slightly so that he was lying flat, and this movement shifted Dan, but he only made a soft noise and didn’t wake up. His fever-warm body was pinning down Phil’s arm, but Phil didn’t care. He was scared that Dan was sick, but happy that Dan was here. He still felt like he was being selfish, but Dan wanted to be here, so he pushed that thought away and just enjoyed the feeling of having Dan beside him.

The truth was that Phil didn’t believe he deserved to be happy. He had always pretended to be happy, but he usually wasn’t. He was lonely, and when he picked people to be in his life they were usually the wrong people: they hurt him, they used him, and then they left him. That had happened so many times before. But this time felt different, and Phil felt like he had picked the right person.

As Phil started to fall asleep with Dan in his arms, he realized that he was totally and completely happy for the first time in a long time.
