7. Would you pet a bug? As long as she promises not to bite or sting me!!! I love holding fireflies and ladybugs and wooly bear caterpillars and inch worms and I want so badly to befriend the fat fluffy bumblebees.

8. Share a weird fact/story about yourself with the class. One of the strongest and most visceral memories I have of my childhood is when acting a peanut butter and cherry preserve sandwich at my grandparents’ old house while Pappy collected the No Kill trap he kept in the garage so we could kidnap the chipmunk and drive him 5 miles down the road. No idea how affective that was, but it was neat to see a chipmunk up close even if I wasn’t allowed to pet him.

9. What does the color blue taste like? Sky and gemstones, sweet and tart and faint so you keep trying to reach out for it. Clean and very very slightly sharp. Vaguely citrus.

10. What is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen? An ex and I went on a hiking date and ended up at the top of a mountain, able to overlook milked and miles of forest. Stunning.

11. What is the stupidest thing you’ve ever done? Tripped walking down a steep hill and bust my knee open, which then required 14 stitches, and x-ray, and a tetanus shot.

12. What is the stupidest thing you’ve ever seen/heard someone else do/say? A kid at work duct taped both of his wrists together for no reason. Then he tried to free himself with a pocket knife.

14. Is there any meaning behind your profile picture and/or username? I used to be a HUGE HUGE HUGE Welcome To Night Vale fan (and still listen along now that it’s in year ten), and one of the first big phrases the fandom latched onto was the description of “mostly void, partially stars”. So I adapted that into my username, choosing my own personal bright point of light to be music. The possum is bc they’re cute and I liked his little scream face.

15. Dream career as a child? Marine biologist! Steve Irwin was a god in my household lol and I was (and am) obsessed with the Ocean.

16. Dream career as an adult? Something boring and unstressful with benefits and vacation time that pays well enough to sustain my family unit (2 queers and a dog) and go on trips sometimes. Working in a bank or an insurance company or administration in a college. I manage a very stressful understaffed restaurant so the lack of stress sounds amazing.

Share a weird fact/story about yourself with the class. I like to drive around rural areas and photograph old, sometimes abandoned locations in the dead of night. I have been literally chased out of towns by foot and by car on two separate occasions. The second time this happened, "See You Again" by Miley Cyrus came up on shuffle and that's the soundtrack my friend and I tore out of town to. Also every "guy" I've dated except for my most recent ex (who has big egg energy) is a lesbian now.

What does the color blue taste like? Creme brulee

What is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? The appalachian mountains of Tennessee in the middle of summer. There's kudzu everywhere. On the backroads, there were several old, dilapidated Baptist churches barely hanging to the side of the mountain. I wonder how many of them were still in use.

What is the stupidest thing you've ever done? Short version: my friend's house almost got broken into by this dude who'd been stalking us for months while we were home alone. Instead of calling the cops, we decided to confront him with a bow and arrow (me), a hatchet, and a baseball bat (him). The plan was that if it went badly, we would simply throw his corpse into one of the many lakes in the neighborhood and let the alligators eat his remains (this was Florida). Why? Because we were afraid of having our home-alone privileges revoked. Luckily for us all, the guy fucked off and we never saw him again.

Stupidest thing you've seen/heard someone else do/say? My ex thought that Jackalopes were real. Also, a nurse I was doing rotations with apparently thought that "Witness Protection" was for Jehovah's Witnesses.
