Antelope park, Gweru, Zimbabwe- Our first activity was the lion feeding and there was nothing but a barb wire fence dividing us and the 5 fully grown lions charging towards us to reach their meat just cm away. My hands started shaking as I filmed them bolting towards us at full speed jumping on the carcass laid out on the ground directly on the other side of the fence. Listening to them roar and moan and attack one another over the food presented just in front of our eyes was surreal and we were told about how this activity was used to help them decide which male would be used for breeding due to it showing dominance within the group of males.

Stopped by a local village to sample some fresh food and encountered a performance going on of local dancers and performers playing and dancing for some important people in town. So much colour and so many smiles and laughter. Happiness truly is contagious

Passing by colourful villages and the most hard workers I've ever seen carrying ridiculous amounts of produce on their heads, backs and loaded onto their bikes chugging up the hill.

We arrived in Africa to spend our next 2 month adventure on a bright yellow overland truck heading from north to south. Ready for the adventure of a lifetime we arrived at our first hostel ready for the next 80 days of fun, new experiences and a taste for the African culture and way of life.

Durmitor National Park, Montenegro. Our next stop was Crno Jezero (Black Lake). The lake is dominated by the rocky peaks of Durmitor on one side, and deep forest on the other; an easy path around allowed us to viewing different perspectives. Despite the name, the waters take on a variety of colours throughout the day and at mid afternoon it can sometimes appear black however the sun was shining and it appeared very much blue during our visit.

Today we went on a jeep safari to the highest mountain in Bosnia, Maglic Mountain, standing at 2386 metres above sea level. Our jeep wasn't in the best shape, with only one working door and a bung tyre but we made it up and down the mountain safely sharing the bumpy narrow roads with busses, trucks and cars. Our driver was extremely talented considering he only had one eye and was well aged and was dealing with a flat tyre all the way home.

Kravice falls, Bosnia Herzegovina- A mind blowing place to swim, explore and take in the marvellous views both from the land or whilst swimming. You can climb behind the falls, jump in off the rocks or just relax in the chilled water. A perfect place to cool off during the summer months whilst being surrounded by incredible waterfalls.
