Avatar The Last Airbender 2005-2008!!!!!!!
#truly a classic of our time#I don’t know how they did it! i don’t!#to combine that many elements (ha) and that much narrative weight and that much entertainment value#with strong plot and deep character work that really thinks about the situations it gets into#you guys!!! peak childrens television!! nothing like it!#amazing amazing job all around#literally there are only two flaws I can think of in the whole thing if I really dig#and really they are one because if you force aang and katara so he gets her as his reward then you can’t properly resolve the set up you had#of having to let go in order to control the avatar state#so like. Magic avatar rock hit is kinda the only solution then#I mean if ur like here’s a twelve year old boy of course his wish fulfillment is the babysitter likes him back#is that right tho? not. really. and that’s all I’ll say on that.#and otherwise? the humor? the pathos? the arcs? the world building? how did they do it??#it’s a perfect formula#wowowow#atla
