would be a couple days with a couple of friends
#or my mom#i buy her a 1500-2000 piece every christmas and after christmas we usually spend a day putting together the new one and one of the old favs#i also had long puzzle days/nights with some of my friends#sometimes putting together multiple ones in one sitting#you need a big table#there are also clear preferences for what kind of puzzle someone likes#mom and one of the friends is partial to colorful and busy preferably drawn/painted pictures#you can sort the colors and figure out little patches and then how they come together#i also know people who go from one line to the next finding the next piece in the pile#i will not mention the person who likes putting them together upside down#and the most important thing: the quality of the puzzle lies in the cutting#if the shapes are distinct it is actually fun to put together the great blue sky in the background#this is sadly rarely the case#but yaaaay for puzzles#and one of my fondest memories is putting together a 1500 pieces with my brother and one of his friends#we got high on a lazy sunday afternoon. put on some good music and lay on the floor around the puzzle piecing it together#pieceful i guess :D
