don't mind me dumping a little writing meta and planning in tags
#one really helpful thing i learned from serializing drawn arrows is what's realistic for me to finish in one day's work#loosely counting a day as at least 3 hours of focused writing time#that's enough time to finish a meatier scene that i already have roughed out#or an interstitial scene that isn't roughed (so less meaningful or compelling to me but necessary to the story)#i guess they take the same amount of time because one is focused on sentence writing when i already know where i'm going#and the other is more painful idea generation#(every so often i get an idea and a necessary but not meaningful scene turns into a really good one but that magic does not always happen)#so today i started by figuring out the volume that's left on the luca/johnny fic#i have four interstitial but necessary scenes left#i have three roughed out important scenes left#and i have a couple of sentences left to complete a sex scene#today's goal will be to finish one important scene by 3pm#and one interstitial scene between 3-5pm#i may not meet this goal but the more of the important scenes i finish the more i start picking up momentum like running downhill#and i think if i get serious about it this week it's not unrealistic to think i can pretty much finish
