*deep breathes* now, I can FINALLY reply to this... and I have THOUGHTS. (Sorry that this is jumbled, I was too excited to configure this more properly XDD)

First of all, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR ADDITIONS!!! You always make everything 10000000% greater!! And these are all so so cute and sweet!!! And they gave ME ideas too!!!

For starters, 'a whopping twenty seven! My guy is an elderly' LEAVE HIM ALONE! He's only twenty years younger here than the events of the film 😂 I swear, that's the youngest I can make him in this AU while making the others ACTUAL children. Besides, these kids need an adult XDD

YES! Jessica and Wheezy BROTP in this AU. And since Roger is always with Jessica, that means that he probably gets close with Wheezy too! Or at least trusts him because Jessica trusts him too ^^ also, may I raise you; since Wheezy can tell something is going on with SA's and Stupid's home life (you need to tell me your headcannons!! I am ready for my heart to ache for these weasels' family headcannons) what if Smarty gets to hang out around Wheezy too? And in turn, Jessica as well? So basically, Jessica and Smartass get to become friends too ^^

(Also, I must point this out; assuming they all are still toons in this AU, that means Jessica is the only human child among this troupe of weasels and rabbits. As such, she's definitely not as small as the animal kids. If I'm doing the mental math correctly, she might be as tall as Wheezy is now! Or at least almost there. Depends on how tall the weasels are. It must be jarring to Wheezy to have to deal with a 10 year old that's almost his height XDD)

Dear lord, somebody put a leash on Greasy XDDD I can see Smartass, being the responsible-for-his-age kid he is, trying to rein Greasy in totally not because that's the only friend he has and he's worried about him, and that leads to these two having all kinds of adventures... And Smarty is responsible for Stupid too, so Stu gets to be a part of them and hang out with his two favorite people in the world! ^^

Poppy and Psycho!!! I am STILL obsessing over these two being buddies! Poppy is totally the kid who tries to stop Psycho from pulling his crap. She stands back while he's climbing a shelf or something, and Poppy's just like "Psycho get down! We're gonna get in trouble!" And he continues... Until he sees how scared Poppy is, and he finally climbs down to hug her, "It's ok, we didn't get caught!"

Also, can you imagine how being friends will help Poppy and Psycho out in the long run?? Poppy grows more social and confident in herself thanks to Psycho, and Psycho learns how to be more compassionate early on. Them being friends help them be better adults!

Ok one more. I can imagine Poppy's parents did not approve of her hanging out with Psycho. I'm not sure how they'd find out, but I can see them stopping her before she goes outside and they're like "We've been meaning to talk to you about... That boy you've been seeing." And now Poppy doesn't know what to do; she doesn't want to not be around her best friend, but isn't she supposed to listen to her parents? Wheezy get your ass over here and be Poppy's other dad!

(I can imagine later, as they get older and grow closer during their teens, Wheezy and Greasy make bets on when they start dating)

Ok ok, on the subject of baby Poppy, I have scenarios for her and the other weasels too.

If Roger and Poppy are related in this AU, then maybe Wheezy can help her realize that it's not Roger she's mad at, it's the way he's being treated compared to her/how everybody else seems to like him more than her despite her best efforts. I can see baby Poppy, standing on the porch with Wheezy while he's smoking, he's got that old soul look in his eyes that lead to her opening up about her troubles. Or at least pertaining to Roger, and Wheezy listens and finds out a little more about this scared little kids home life.

Once she gets closer to the group, Poppy overhears Wheezy talking about how Smartass needs to do more kid things while he still has the time. She's 7, so she doesn't entirely understand, but she still wants to help her friends! So she actually approaches Smarty and tugs on his hand, asking him to walk with her and Psycho to the park or something so they all can play together (she's confused, but she's got the spirit ^^)

Whenever Greasy tries to slip away, especially since Stupid is so attached to him, Poppy gets confused. Why wasn't he staying and helping Wheezy like he was asking him to do? She tries following him before he can leave out the door, grab him by the pant leg or something, and asks him where he's going and what's going on. And now that he's been caught, Greasy has to stay Poppy becomes Wheezy's secret weapon for Greasy. Next to Stupid.

Poppy taking Stupid under her wing!!! She's only two years older than him, but he's so cute and sweet! And if Smarty I supposed to be doing his own thing, then she and Psycho can watch over him! ^^ she'll grab a big kid book and point out to Stupid all the pretty colors and help him pronounce all the words. Basically trying to be a big sister despite not knowing what to do ^^

(Also, if Poppy gets to be Stu's adoptive big sister, does that make Smartass her adoptive big brother? (Please, I need Smarty being big bro protective over Poppy and scaring off any of those bus creeps Wheezy mentioned earlier))

Also, now that I've had time, I got a possible way for Poppy and Wheezy to meet. What I'm imagining is Poppy gets separated from her mom at the store (kids get distracted with anything. Poppy probably saw some food she wanted to ask her mother if they can get), and Poppy is freaking out. She doesn't know where to go, she's scared of approaching any of the employees or shoppers and her mother getting upset with her for falling behind. And before she realizes it, this smokey man hears this child crying in the middle of the aisle and decides to try to help... Somehow.

Ok this has taken WAY too long, so I'm just gonna end this here XDD I hope these thoughts entertain you at least. Thank you for indulging me and giving me

(And maybe, if a certain devil weasel is with Wheezy, that could be Poppy's and Psycho's first meeting too)

Just a sweet thought for you to think about-

You headcanon Wheezy much older then Poppy, right? Imagine them knowing eachother when she was little.

I HAD TO STOP EVERYTHING I WAS DOING TO ANSWER THIS-

Ok, ok, SO!

I've actually got like, a childhood AU (what I like to call the 'tiny-tots' AU) where everybody is younger. As young as they can be while still being able to interact with each other at least XD Stupid is 5, Roger is 6, Poppy is 7, Psycho is 8, Jessica is 10, Smartass is 15, Greasy is 18 (Greasy rubs it in Smarty's face that he's the adult. But let's be honest, you ain't grown up just because you turn 18), and Wheezy is 27. And since he's the eldest, he's the one who has to adopt watch over everybody. And yes, he feels like a preschool teacher XDDD

So I'm just, imagining this ask occurring in that AU right now (though it could be in Poppy's normal timeline too). I'm not sure how since I literally haven't had the time to consider this (I was serious about dropping everything. I was I'm the middle of your final emoji ask before this XD), but kid Poppy and responsible Wheezy need to meet. Pops needs a reliable adult figure to assure her that she's not a screw up and remind her that she's just a kid and give her proper life advice.

Fast forward to present day Poppy. Let's say that something happened and they couldn't see each other so often (maybe one of them had to move or something. But either way, Poppy is left without her reliable adult). Maybe she kinda forgets who this kind man was, or at least it's at the back of her head. And then she and Wheezy find each other again, and then the memories come back!

This would also explain how she and Wheezy are able to become friends quickly. Because they already are friends! It's been years, they've both gone through a lot, and they've both changed a lot. But they still remember and care about each other ^^

Omg describe the parent trap au pls I'm begging you

AH! Okay! I've got five requests... means I have to do it XDDD

(bear in mind I had this idea before broken throne came out and we knew Cori and Shade were a thing)

1. Mare and Cal are still young, they're dealing with the ramifications of everything. Mare gets pregnant, they have twins. Their relationship sort of falls apart... and they go their separate ways, each one taking a twin daughter. Mare to Montfort, Cal to the States

2. Some years later (11) the twin daughters both end up at the same sort of camp thing (not sure exactly what's going on there, but they do). They totally hijack each other and end up being forced into an isolation where they only have each other. Then they realized: HOLY SHIT YOUR MOM IS MY MON AND YOUR DAD IS MY DAD. Then they hatch their "master plan" to get Mare and Cal back together. One daughter Coriane (Cal's) and the other Avery (Mare's) switch places, going back to the opposite parent in hopes that they will have to come back together to switch them back.

3. Shenanigans obviously ensue. And Cori realizes horribly quickly that Mare is dating someone... and Avery kinda didn't know about it. The guy (who is not Tyton because I Would NEVER slander that boi like that) is an asshole period. So Cori has to be a snappy little shit and tries to break them up. I just have this one conversation in my head where the guy confronts her and is like: For your information, I adore your mother, she's exactly the kind of woman I always dreamed of marrying. And Cori just leans forward and goes: and my mother's political and military standing wouldn't have anything to do with that... would it? And he goes from being nice politician guy to straight dick in .2 seconds and leans forward to day: listen here puss, I'm marrying your mother in three weeks, whether you like it or not. Is that clear? And once I do, I'm shipping your ass off to the Lakelands. And that's when Cori sends emergency message number 1 to Avery in the States who has been busy ignoring her panic because she's having the time of her life with her dad.

4. Anyway, Julian is the one that figures it out, cause he follows Avery after she runs out to place an emergency call to Montfort to tell Cori to hang in there. He makes Avery tell Cal and we get the cute scene where she's in his office and she has a little suitcase with her, and he laughs and asks where she is going when she buries her face in his shirt. And all muffled says: I'm going to find Cori. And he laughs again and says: I see Cori, so where is she exactly? And she just kinda sniffles looks up at him and says: In Ascendant, with her mom Mare Barrow. And Cal just kinda of looks up at Julian who gives him that little smile. And then he cups Avery's face, lifts it up to look at her, and says: You're not Cori.... you're Avery? and then he puts it together. They decide to go to Ascendant to switch them back. Cal is low key a wreck all the way there, and Julian goes with them with Sara because he's low key gotta chaperone his stressed out nephew still. (Little does Cal know that Julian, Sara, Cori, and Avery all planned it so that they go to the place Mare/Fiance are looking at for their wedding, without Cal knowing what's happening, and without Mare knowing anything at all.)

5. They all end up there, They get separated from each other for a split second and when they happens, Cal ends up spotting Mare getting into an elevator with her asshole fiancé, and she literally almost falls over leaning to the side making sure she is actually seeing her ex-husband and not a ghost of him induced by her low key guilt over remarrying (especially since who she thinks is Avery has been so very opposed to it). Then Cal goes up (mind you, he may be slightly drunk cause... it's funny in the movie, so it works here) runs into both the girls, and finds out Mare is getting re-married, and they try to convince him to stop it, but he won't hear any of it, and tells them he is only there to switch them back.

6. Cal goes down ahead of the girls, and is in the bar trying to get something to deal with the raging headache he has, and who does he run into but Asshole Fiance who is so freaking excited to realize it's him because wow, political ambitions to the max there.

6. Anyway, they go down to a garden and the girls are sitting there with Julian and Sara, and Mare is literally on the HUNT for Cal. She's so confused why he's here, etc. etc. Then she spots him walking down the stairs of the garden (it can be in slow motion while he's adjusting his jacket if you like 😏) and she literally runs into someone, and ends up in a fountain. Cal pulls her out, and she's just looking up at him shocked and confused, and then the girls show up and explain what they did and Mare's just baffled until she laughs and hugs them both. They sit down, Cal gives her his jacket and they talk for a second and Mare just says: I can't believe this... seeing them together, seeing you again... I just-- And then asshole fiance shows up and is like: FINALLY! There you are! Oh um...oh good, you've met! Honey, I was just speaking with him in the bar and um, we were talking about some trade deals, and um wait, I dont understand how did you two meet? and Mare... why are you all wet? and Mare just looks at Cal and goes: you're doing a political trade deal with my fiancé? and Cal's like: i didn't know he was your fiancé? And then Mare's like hahahaha how did we meet? How did you two meet? And Fiance just goes: Am I missing something here? And Mare going: hahaha this is one small world. Cue Avery popping up near his elbow and saying: Hey. And then him sniffing and going: hello. And then Cori popping up and going: Hi, how's it going? And him having a small freak out before Mare sort of grimaces and says: Um... did I ever mention to you that Avery was a twin? And he's just totally put out and grumbles: you neglected to mention that little detail. And the girls are more than happy to introduce Cal as their dad, and fiancé just goes: well, this is a small world. And Mare just awkward grimaces and says: and getting smaller.

7. Anyway, the girls make them go on a cute little date, and they sort of talk about why they broke up and why she left, and we get my favorite dialogue exchange from any movie every made and Mare says: well, I got on an airship to Montfort, and... you didn't chase after me. And Cal just sort of leans forward and says quietly: I didn't know you wanted me to. Then we cut to the next day, they're agreeing to send the girls back and forth between them for certain things, and then low and behold their trouble making daughters show up wearing identical outfits, and the girls give them their proposal. They will tell them who is who after they go on the camping trip. (Aka the one Mare takes Avery on every year in Paradise Valley). Cal crouches down and says: This one is Cori, I'm sure of it. And the one he's point to who is actually Avery just smirks and says: Are you sure dad? You wouldn't want to take the wrong kid all the way back to Archeon would you? And then they're forced to agree to said camping trip.

8. Cue my absolute favorite part of the 1998 movie, where we cut to the fiancé going: AND WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO FOR FIVE DAYS? STAY HOME AND KNITT? And Mare just turns around and says: listen, we're in a bit of a situation here. And then Cal's coming down the stairs from the Barrow's town house with his backpack like: 🙃 I have such bad timing. And Fiancé turns around and says: hold on, why is he going? And mare's irritated as all get out so she just snorts and says: because it's part of the deal... we go on this trip... together. And then Cal walks up and being the little shit he is says: is there a problem? And the guys just looks him up and down and goes: Yes, as a matter of fact, I'm not so sure I'm okay with this. And Cal immediately knows how to make this man's life fucking miserable, so he says: Oh I completely understand. The ex in the next sleeping bag is just... so awkward. And Mare just puts her head in her hand and Cal gives this guy his best sympathetic grin and says: which is why I suggest you go with them. And the girls in the truck are like: DAD! NO! And Cal's just like: No I insist. And then the guy is walking down the stair, looking for all intents and purposely like a jackass, and Cal's behind him, already trying to contain his laughter. And the guy gets in the truck, looking annoyed as all get out, and the girls are pissed, and Mare's just looking at Cal like: I can't decide if I wanna kill you or laugh with you. And then Cal just pats the side of the truck and says: alright have fun. And the guy kinda leans across Mare and says: I mean on second thought, maybe this isn't the best idea... I mean... I"m not much a... nature person. And Cal's like mock horrified and says: No, no you really should. This is a great opportunity for you to spend time with the girls and get to know them. And then he gives that jack as his prize winning, shit eating grin and says: Cause starting next week, they're half yours. And Mare just sticks her tongue between her teeth with her smile and puts her shades on and drives away. Cue Kilorn coming up next to Cal and smirking with him and saying; Oh I would pay BIG money to see that man climb a mountain.

9. The camping trip goes miserable, they come back early cause the girls create chaos and the fiancé leaves. Delivering the key line: Once we're married, I'm shipping those BRATS off to Tiraxes. Got it? IT's me or them, take your pick.

They come up the stairs to the town house and Cal's there (wearing super comfy clothes) and is mock shocked when he says: what happened? And the Avery just goes: we've been grounded. and Corie comes up behind her saying until the end of the century. And Cal's just like: why? What happened? and Cori says: we played a couple harmless pranks, and [insert fiancé's name] got a little upset. And Mare storms up behind them and says: Upset? A little Upset? Then she glares at the girls and then at Cal and says: But like father like daughters. You're grounding starts now. And the girls go inside, and Mare just kinda stays out there, fiddling with the engagement ring she took off and says: One day I'm going to have to thank them for this. And then Mare and Cal kinda of have a cute little conversation and then that night, they have their little romantic moment where they almost kiss, but then Mare pulls back. The next day, they leave. (At this point they weren't in Ascendant, they were in a smaller Montfort city near Paradise Valley). So Mare goes home. And once she and Avery get there, they walk into their apartment, and Cori's sitting on the couch, and Mare's just like: oh... um hello. And Cori just smiles and says: it took us about two minutes after you left to realize we were never letting you go again. And Mare's like: us? And then Cal comes out, and is like: us. And Then we get my Second favorite dialogue exchange of all time where Mare goes: so what now? Am I supposed to... to say that we're going to work all this out, that we'll... fall in love again and raise out children together and cry hysterically? And Cal just pulls her close with a smile and says: Yes, to all of that. Only you dont have to cry hysterically.

Then we get happy ending cause YAY the girls won and their parents are back together. Anyway, as you can see I've thought about this AU for far too long and I actually came super close to writing it but then decided, eh better not.

Finally decided majors and details for some of the characters I plan to include XD

My first time using a cut lol

Tristan

Business Major

Cassian absolutely wants him to inherit the family business

Tris isn’t so thrilled by that

Sev and him are roommates

Neither of them can cook anything other than ramen or pizza rolls

Sometimes they order pizza

Disaster bi on so many levels

Went to one GSA club meeting but then noped right back into the closet

Not out to Cassian or most of his friends yet

The only person who knows is Sev

Has a brown tabby cat named Rex

duh

lmao going back through there’s like nothing here

they def got longer as they went on

Nyk

Linguistics, Interpretation, and Translation Major

(In HOF she is really interested in the Pyrean language and lore so I thought it fit)

Was homeless for a while

Ran away as soon as she graduated high school

(She couldn’t be around Val any longer)

Applied for a lot of scholarships and was able to gather enough money to attend college

Roommates with Sparrow

Helps Sparrow get to her classes sometimes

Elliot, Riella, and Kade come over to their dorm a lot

The sibs invited him to move in with them (Kade also obviously helps with rent)

Became good friends with Nyk and he and the sibs spend a lot of time at her/his dorm

Used to shadow Hestia at the clinic (before he decided he wanted to be a vet and not a people doctor) and she gushed all the time about her son

He met Sev and def thinks Sev is adorable

Has also seen Sev around campus but hasn’t worked up the courage to talk to him yet

Idk it just came to me and I was like “might as well”

Took online classes until Riella graduated so they could move together

Met Kade through Riella

Can’t handle spicy food and is appalled by the fact that Kade, Riella, and Sparrow are all fueled by eating the spiciest things possible

Refuses to eat anything with pepper on it, but keeps a shaker for his friends and sister

Nyk and him bond over being unable to tolerate anything hotter than a hot tamale candy

Owns a minivan

It’s unclear as to why he needs a minivan he just has one

He named it Elliot jr. as a joke once but now no one lets him forget it

Nyk, Kade, and Elliot help her around campus (still blind and thriving)

Owns a parrot named Chirp and guide dog that everyone is 95% sure is just a wolf that Sparrow illegally bought a service animal vest for

Sparrow claims that Chirp can talk but only does it in front of her

Sometimes Elliot will also claim that he’s heard Chirp talk but no one can tell if he’s telling the truth or not (He’s not even sure at this point)

Elliot pretends it annoys him but secretly he’s thrilled because he adores the both of them (he’d never reveal this but Sparrow knows anyway)

Brings her animals

Chirp usually just sits on her shoulder, and the dog at her feet

Has super unruly hair

Only a select few are permitted to touch it: Elliot, Riella, and Nyk

Nyk will braid it sometimes, but Sparrow usually likes to have it free

Roommates with Nyk

Nyk decorated their room super cute, fairylights strung all around it and polaroids on the walls (though I guess she can’t see them rip)

Nyk loves Sparrow’s animals, and the animals get a long great with Phyrie (except for one time that Phyrie attacked Chirp but that doesn’t happen anymore)

Riella

Dance Major

Not much is known about Riella but I just thought this’d be a cool major for her

idk she gives off ballerina vibes for some reason

Sapphic and dating Sparrow

Roommates with Elliot and Kade

All three of them share a bookshelf and love talking about books

They also play video games a lot together

Minecraft is not a competition but do not play with the three of them they will win

They share an ACNH island on the switch they pooled money for

Loves having her hair in french braids

Nyk usually braids it for her before classes

Ig Nyk just braids everyone’s hair smh

Wears rompers everywhere

Met Kade when a creepy dude approached her on her way to a class and Kade pretended to know her to get her away from the creepy dude

He started walking her to that class just in case and they became friends

Anders

Performing Arts Major

Super dramatic and way into theater

Has been out of the closet for years as genderqueer and pan (Prefers he/him pronouns; he’s used them all his life and he’s used to them)

Goes to GSA club and loves telling obnoxious stories

Has hinted at being in a relationship but no one knows who it is, and the club tries to find out sometimes (It’s Latham)

Grew up with Latham and they started dating when they were seventeen

Latham isn’t out of the closet yet, so he asked Anders to keep it a secret

Anders doesn’t mind at all, he’s just happy to be with the boy he loves :)

Was a part of marching band in high school, and still practices his trumpet in his free time

Regularly texts everyone a gross amount of emojis

Latham and him moved in together when they graduated and started going to college

Latham does all the cooking

The last time Anders attempted to cook anything, the pan caught on fire (the cooking pan not Anders) (XDDD) (I think I’m hilarious)

He’s not allowed to cook anymore

They each have their own beds but usually sleep in the same one when they don’t have guests (they are both huge cuddlers) (Anders is the little spoon)

Has a pet snake because he lives to be extra (It’s a ball python)

(I can’t remember what Anders’ phoenix is named so the snake is nameless for now)

Latham

Pre-Law Studies Major

Wants to become a lawyer

Absolutely talks crap about everyone he knows with Anders

Identifies as queer but is closeted

His family are all very religious and anti-LGBTQ+ so he’s scared to come out to them

The only person who knows is Anders

His father in particular scares him

His dad really doesn’t approve of Latham being ‘friends’ with Anders, ever since Anders came out publicly

Is decent at cooking (nowhere near as good as Elliot)

Doesn’t have a lot of friends

Kind of knows Tristan and Elliot but not really

Has a Pomeranian named Xane

We’re at the end of the road, folks.

And god damn, I feel so validated by my Sojiro characterization. Wow. Thanks for basically making me canon for ten more seconds, Atlus. XDDD

So when last we left our intrepid heroes, they were laying at the bottom of the Jail of the Abyss, because Ichinose is an asshole. So we had to fight our way back up, carrying Sophia’s unconscious body. Which wasn’t that bad; the Jail isn’t very big. We left Sophia at the door to keep her safe, and then charged back into the hall of the Ark to hack Ichinose’s exploding crystal box thing.

Ichinose doesn’t understand why we came back.

So, yeah. I guess like... bizarro-world Maruki? Maruki wanted to alleviate suffering by granting everyone’s wishes. EMMA’s going to make it so that people can’t wish for anything.

After a kick-ass hacking battle set to the new version of Rivers in the Desert, Ichinose yells at us about our right to judge. Why should humanity keep this painful world, just because WE’RE strong? Just because we’ve never screwed up or suffered?

Which, clearly she has no idea who the fuck she’s talking to.

We’ve worked too hard to listen to that kind of bullshit.

Ichinose proclaims that “humans don’t need hearts” and charges up the laser crystal to blast us again, and Sophia steps in to block the attack. She’s still fighting Ichinose’s control even though Ichinose insists that she’s just a faulty prototype.

Apparently Ichinose created Sophia in the first place because she spent a lifetime being called a heartless doll, so she made an AI to help her learn about the heart.

I think you’re the problem, but not for the reasons everyone else is saying.

But she got angry when Sophia started asking questions of her own and basically tossed her aside, until EMMA found her and dropped her into the Shibuya Jail.

And Sophia, unlike her creator, has learned and grown, and is tired of being given orders. She’s ready to make her own choices.

That is certainly a persona.

I gotta admit, they got me. I was wondering why Sophia didn’t have her arcana yet, but for some reason, I also wasn’t expecting her to get a proper persona. I’m now wondering about the implications of someone being able to code an AI capable of developing a soul that can summon a persona. There’s a zero percent chance that Ichinose had any access to plumes of dusk, which are the reason that Aigis and Labrys gained enough consciousness to have personas. So Sophia is legitimately a miracle piece of technology.

Pandora is an interesting choice, but I dunno if I can articulate that beyond a surface-level, “Oh, because she’s Hope, and Hope was still in the box.”

I swear to god, every major villain in this game is trying to be Goro Akechi. For the last goddamn time, we don’t kill people. Get up, Ichinose. We’re leaving.

Ryuji literally grabs her by the arm and drags her out, because she’s trying to stay behind. Which just confirms for me that if Goro hadn’t put up that bulkhead door, we’d have dragged his stupid ass out of the Ship, too. XD

Back to the real world, and Tokyo is blacking out, and the Tower is losing its shit.

The metaverse is fusing with reality, the Tower is becoming the Tree of Knowledge, and hell yes we are climbing this tower after all!

Morgana points out that this is the same thing that happened last year, and Zenkichi freaks out a little bit.

You’re lucky you moved to Kyoto, sir. You missed quite a bit.

I love these kids, though. They’ve got so much black humor about this whole god thing.

The metaverse encroaching on reality means that everyone has to cram into the bus in their thief gear. Zenkichi, please. Your hat. Sir.

I love climbing this tower. I’ve been here, too! Also they have butter. XD

I was expecting the Mementos version of the lower observation deck, and instead I got some weird amalgam between Mementos and Azathoth’s boss chamber.

We had to fight Metatron as the guardian of the last elevator, which is another parallel to Yaldabaoth’s archangels. And then it’s up to what I guess used to be the high observation deck to fight the big box.

EMMA insists that all humanity wants is to let it give them all the answers, and it throws them into some sort of alternate fog world full of the voices of the public.

The Thieves are all separated, trapped in the fog. Each of them has to find their way out, and they realize that the fog of the Desires is protecting EMMA. EMMA knows exactly how calling cards work, so they won’t work on her. Instead, the Thieves decide that they need to send the calling card to the public, so that they’ll become aware of their desires again and the desires will crystalize.

...oh come on, Atlus. We’re right in the endgame.

One last hacker battle to break into EMMA’s server room in the tower, and Futaba and Ichinose manage to hack EMMA itself to deliver a calling card to everyone at once.

Love you, Zenkichi. We’ve taken out two gods already. We’re good.

Confronting the Ark again reveals a bunch of freaky tentacle arms grabbing the desires, and then the box turns into some sort of massive figure that looks sort of like Yaldabaoth, except less robot and more seraphim. It literally names itself the Demiurge, so I feel like EMMA may be drawing something from the lingering dregs of Yald’s influence? It’s cool.

Clearly no one told you what happened to the last false god that thought it knew what was best for humanity. ;) “Hope binds humanity to misery” is bullshit.

After a... not very difficult first phase, the Demiurge reveals its true form, and we split into three teams to take out its support orbs (modeled after the sephirot) and the main body.

I really liked the setup for the last boss. The teams were the first instance where it was really apparent that the whole team was fighting together. Each of the three battles was happening concurrently, and destroying the orbs has a concrete effect on the main fight. I wish we’d gotten to do things like this more often, especially during the Shadow Thieves fight.

That said, the main body was actually the easiest part of the fight? All the attacks were really telegraphed, and not particularly hard to avoid. Except for the spear jab.

But it finished off with a full-team all-out attack, and that was awesome.

The desires began to return to their owners, and we get to bask in a job well done once again.

Upon returning to the real world, it’s the next morning. Sophia’s happy that she got to be a hero, Zenkichi’s heading off to properly arrest Owada, and the rest of us need to head home, because we were supposed to be home last night. Zenkichi can’t figure out why we consider him a phantom thief, since he “only joined [us] to use [us]”. Which is silly. The Phantom Thieves are built on the bonds of friendship and stalking! It’s too late, Zenkichi. You and Akane have been adopted.

I’m a little disappointed we didn’t get to tell Akane the truth. That would have been great.

Atlus personally reaches out and pats me on the head, because Sojiro has the absolute perfect reaction to his kids coming home after a nationwide manhunt for them.

I feel so valid making him serve Lavenza coffee and be completely nonplussed about a guy marrying Death. I love him. We’re so lucky to have Sojiro. XDDDD

The next day, the kids have a celebration party for their victory, and learn that Akira is going home the next day. This kid needs to catch a break. He can’t even have a few days to relax with his friends. X’‘‘D

Everyone goes to see off Akira, though we detour to Shibuya to meet Ichinose. A news report shows that Owada was successfully arrested, and apparently Ichinose tried to turn herself in to the police, and they didn’t believe a word of it.

This is just highlighting my issues with Maruki. Even if he doesn’t think he did anything wrong to society as a whole, he never apologizes to them for what he put them through. Especially Akira. Ichinose turns around and helps them stop the final boss, and her last scene is her apologizing to the Thieves and trying to make amends for her actions. Maruki’s last scene is... “If things get bad, you can start over like me! Now we’re even!” We are not.

Sophia leaves to help Ichinose learn about the heart, Akira promises to come back for winter break, the Phantom Thieves go their separate ways once again, and the credits roll.

I’m gonna leave my final impressions in a different post, because this one is long enough already. So... look forward to that?

This suddenly seems much shorter than how it feels in Quoll writer... huh. Um. Anyhoo. Oh man. I can post rp np, but posting a fic has me anxious as all heck. XDDD SO. YEAH. I started this like.... so long ago... Sometime in July of 2015... Yeah. I. Suck at this. XDDD Um. Anyhoo. This chapter could still end up changed in the future... but I think it’s fairly locked in at this point, but who knows. lol I should stop stalling.

So. Here is the first chapter of this... thing. The title it has is only tentative so I’m gonna... not mention it. XD //drops it and goes to like... hide// /)__(\;;;;;

"Thunderbird 2 to base... Mission complete, I'm on my way home."

"F.A.B. Thunderbird 2. ...You okay, Virgil?"

"Yeah, just tired," Virgil replied Gordon over the comms as he flew towards Tracy Island—home. He'd been out on what had meant to be a simple mission, but of course, it had been anything but simple, in the end. Exhausted, Virgil was incredibly glad to be on his way home, though he still had one obstacle to deal with.

"Ah, one of those, huh?"

"Yeah, one of those," Virgil replied, unable to not crack a small smile, in spite of it all. "I'll tell you about it later. How about that tropical storm? How're things looking from the ground?"

Thunderbird 5 had been monitoring a tropical storm forming for quite a few days now. While it didn't look like it was going to be upgraded in strength, it would still pack a pretty good wallop on their island. Virgil had expected to be home long before then, but of course, it wasn't going to work out that way. John had kept him informed of the status from above, but that didn't exactly tell him what he needed to know.

"Not too good. The sky is looking pretty dark and the waves are really crashing against the island. Think you'll beat it?"

"It's not looking too likely, but I should be okay as long as the runway stays clear. Keep an eye on it for me, would ya? If it'll be more like taking a swim than a landing, I might have to have a change of plans."

He had a few options if going home wasn't viable. He could keep above the storm and just wait it out or see if Lady Penelope wouldn't mind a visitor for a day or two. Neither were as appealing as getting home and falling into his own bed, however. There was little else he wanted more right now.

"Sure thing, Virg."

"Thanks, Gordon. Keep me informed. Thunderbird 2, out."

Once Gordon's hologram vanished from his dash, Virgil returned his full attention to the various indicators in front of him and the darkening sky through the cockpit windows. Well, there were those storm clouds. Things were about to get a whole lot more bumpy.

As if on cue, Thunderbird 2 shuddered from turbulence as she flew into the storm. This was hardly the first, nor would it be the last time Virgil flown through such weather. Thunderbird 2 was designed to handle harsh storms, but it didn't mean it was easy flying, by any means.

Gripping the yoke, Virgil did his best to keep her steady. It made no sense to climb up above the storm considering he was coming up on being only minutes from Tracy Island. At least, it made no sense unless he heard otherwise, although he was starting to wonder if his plan to land hadn't been his best idea. Even this, however, would be easier than his last tricky landing, so he wasn't inclined to abort at this point

Intending to call in again that he was about to land, the comms crackled to life before he could activate it. It was definitely Gordon contacting him again, but Virgil couldn't make heads or tails of anything that was being said. As harsh as the storm was, Virgil wasn't sure why the signal had suddenly distorted so badly. Perhaps the island comms equipment had taken some damage? Reaching up to flick a switch on the comm controls, Virgil quickly returned his hand to the yoke.

"Gordon? You're going to have to repeat that, for me," he replied distractedly, eyes on his instruments, as he was starting to descend to make an attempt at landing.

"Th—nde—"

The signal this time dissolved into nothing but static, much to Virgil's frustration. Reaching up again, Virgil stopped short of the buttons he'd intended to press as something happened.

Every indicator on the dash suddenly spun madly, as Virgil felt a violent shudder run through his ship. Lightning? No, he had the new and thoroughly tested lightning shield up—it wasn't a lightning strike. The lights in the cockpit flickered and then suddenly, blinding white light filled his vision, forcing Virgil to close his eyes.

For a moment, it felt like the world had gone completely topsy turvey around him. He felt disoriented in more ways than one by time he pried his eyes back open. How long had his eyes been closed? He couldn't say. It was like he'd completely zoned out which was easy to believe as his head was absolutely spinning. It even took a moment to realize the shrill sound of a warning alarm really was blaring in his ears.

It had to have been pure instinct that made him cut the rockets and fire the VTOLs, pulling Thunderbird 2 into a sharp turn, just narrowly managing to avoid crashing into the island cliff face. The proximity alarm fell silent.

Allowing Two to hover on her VTOLs, Virgil sat back, releasing a breath of air he hadn't even realized he'd been holding. His head was spinning and his knuckles white, still clutching onto the yoke for dear life. It was rare that Virgil was shaken, but whatever the heck had just happened, had him literally trembling. Nothing like that had EVER happened in the hundreds, upon hundreds of times he'd come in to land, even in bad weather. He could not think of any explanation in the slightest for what had occurred. It wasn't like he'd blacked out. He knew what that was like and that sure hadn't been it. Not to mention, whatever it had been, it had definitely affected Thunderbird 2 as well.

His thoughts were interrupted as the comm suddenly sprang to life, the signal once more clear and a frantic voice on the other end.

"Thunderbird 2! Base to Thunderbird 2! What just happened? You nearly crashed into the island, Virgil!"

Okay, maybe the signal wasn't so clear. Either something was wrong with the comms or his ears, because something sounded decidedly off. Then again, considering what just happened, was that really so strange?

"I don't know... I..."

"Whoa, Virg. You don't sound so good. You better land."

"Y-yeah... F.A.B."

Virgil purposefully killed the comms, wanting to ensure a moment to himself as he rubbed his face with both hands. He was feeling worse, rather than better. What was wrong with him? Maybe something really was up with his hearing, given his head was spinning. A concussion? Although, he didn't remember hitting his head on anything and he didn't seem feel any bump on it either. Virgil also was fairly certain he didn't have near enough a rough a jolt to do it either. Did he have a migraine, perhaps? His stomach was definitely starting to feel rather nauseous, which certainly gave the thought merit, but what about what happened to Thunderbird 2? It had been affected just as much as he had.

Well, he figured he would try to work out what just happened later, for now he just needed to land, given he didn't know if anything was wrong with his ship and that storm was only getting worse.

He started to circle Thunderbird 2 around to make a second approach, but found himself bringing his the large craft to a stop midair once more.

"What the...?" he muttered aloud, staring through the narrow windows at the island below.

Even through the rain, he could see the island wasn't Tracy Island. It bore a resemblance, sure, but this wasn't it. Beyond puzzled he brought up the GPS and ended up looking even more stumped. No, these were exactly the coordinates. This was where it was meant to be it. This was meant to be home, but it just wasn't.

Had something happened to his GPS? It didn't seem to be malfunctioning, but surely it had to be. What other reason could there be for this?

What was going on?

There was a runway below, however and given his head was spinning even worse now and he was struggling to keep Thunderbird 2 steady, he really had no choice—he'd have to set her down there. Aiming to set her down as inland along the runway as he could to get as much shelter from the incoming storm as possible, he somehow managed it.

Almost feeling like he would actually be sick at this point, he decided he needed at least a moment of fresh air. As soon as he at least felt a little better, he'd contact Thunderbird 5. John could then get a fix on his location and they could try to figure out just where he really was and how broken his GPS was.

Virgil practically stumbled from his seat onto the elevator. Stepping onto the runway, he was met with sea spray and wind. Rain hadn't started yet, but it would only be a matter of time. Unfortunately, the fresh air didn't seem to be helping at all. Leaning back against one of his ship's landing struts, he stared down the runway, noticing several figures had appeared and were running towards him. Was that good? He wasn't even sure, but he didn't take a chance, touching his wrist controller to have the elevator ascend.

For a brief moment, Virgil even thought he heard his name being called, but he couldn't stay on his feet any more, his head was just swimming. He let himself sink down onto the runway and closed his eyes, despite hearing voices now above him. He just couldn't pry them back open.

(Episode 12.

"Meteoroid-falling, burning, and disappear, then..."

Second to last episode!

Now, this one is titled “Senki Zesshou” which is roughly translated as “Superb Song of the Valkyries”. Of course everyone knows that’s the first portion of what the show is titled, while Superb Song is referring to their Zesshou’s (I just call it Zesshou because there’s so many different translations and I’ve heard Superb wasn’t right either so lmao).

The main point of me pointing this out is considering the previous seasons and their episode 12 names, it feels a bit haunting.

S1 Episode 12: Symphogear G Episode 12: Gekisou (referring to Hibiki’s first season battle song “Gekisou Gungnir since she gets Gungnir back in that episode) GX Episode 12: GX AXZ Episode 12: AXZ XV Episode 12: Senki Zesshou

And of course we knew that XV got its own titled episode on episode 8, which broke the mold of that haha. But with it being the final season, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. I mean, after episode 8 was named “XV” I couldn’t imagine what 12 would be named. XD

But Senki Zesshou feels fitting.

Regardless, it starts out with Shem-Ha of course, talking about how close she is to her plans but this is a brief flashback to see how the Earth started looking red like the way it did.

And so Elfnein is there to hold Shem-Ha off, along with Carol of course. They engage in a fight with her, Elfnein’s plan being she plans to try using the same dissection method that Carol’s Chateau could do.

One random note:

When I first saw this line, I was really confused on what he was talking about since Elfnein never killed any of her friends nor has Carol technically? But I learned from someone on twitter that basically what he was saying, or hinting to, was Elfnein attempting to “kill Miku so Hibiki wouldn’t have to?” or something like that. Now I don’t know Japanese like that, but the person I read it from does so I’d believe their judgement. Like, I don’t think it’s technically WRONG, but the way they worded it just made it seem like Elfnein killed someone already lol.

MOVING ON THOUGH:

Now here’s what I love about Carol; they say her alchemy was made to challenge Gods. Literally she perfected her alchemy so well over the course of her lifetime that it’s basically within its own caliber.

It’s different compared to the Illuminati trio, probably why they don’t use the process of burning memories to use theirs? Because it seems as if due to Carol using her memories as fuel, it gives her enough power to actually do the crazy shizz she can. Elfnein even offers to have her memories erased too if it wasn’t enough, it’s crazy.

Carol is a smart woman, and it’s really hard for me to explain why I love her but this is partially the reason. If her mind wasn’t so damaged and frayed in GX, she really could have been a lot worse of an enemy I believe.

But unfortunately, Carol’s attempt doesn’t work. Shem-Ha ends up using the Shenshoujing (due to its evil banishing properties) as a way to backfire the process immediately. And because Shem-Ha thought it was admirable for Carol to try fighting against her, she doesn’t kill her.

Everyone at HQ begin to realize that since Shem-Ha can’t use the brains of the human race, due to the curse still being in effect, she’s going to use the world’s computer terminal network instead.

So after this, what we say at the end of last episode begins to take place and before long, it goes back to Hibiki and Chris. As expected, they begin fighting Vanessa. Not much to say during this fight since not much is being said but as expected, Chris achieves her Amalgam during this.

Chris was having issues with shooting since Vanessa kept getting up close, which in turn kept Hibiki from fighting since she was trying to protect Chris the whole time lol. So instead, Hibiki suggests to fight with her, which is where they both activate Amalgam.

Now with the upper hand, Noble Red are about to get sucked into space. But instead, Chris uses her own attack to save them at the last second.

Now I will say I was bummed that the attack wasn’t her and Hibiki together, nor did they get a song, but oh well. Lol.

Important part after this is that Chris has a speech and I think it speaks a lot about how far she’s come as a person after all the struggles she’s been through.

Chris has really come a long way. I know I said it but for her to find another home after what she’s been through, to find a place where she loves again and where people love her, is something she realized back in G. And so she was determined to protect her home as much as possible, along with her friends.

But of course, this doesn’t last long because Shem-Ha has to ruin EVERYTHINGGGGG. xDDD

When they were reborn as perfect monsters, Shem-Ha placed a part within Vanessa, so she’s able to control her and plans to do just that to get rid of the network jammer with her body.

This is when Vanessa, along with Millaarc and Elsa, start begging Hibiki to attack Vanessa because they don’t want to be used any more. Hibiki, of course, hesitates for a bit too long because by the time she activates her Gear, it was already too late as Shem-Ha infected the network just as Hibiki punches Vanessa and even reprimands Hibiki for her hesitation.

It doesn’t kill Vanessa anyway but badly injured her. But because Shem-Ha injected herself into the system, she takes over from where the AI of Enki was and she explains another revelation.

“On that day, one year ago, when mankind was connected for an instant, I revived and rose from Magallanica.”

So basically what she’s saying is that back in G, when everyone on the planet was singing “Apple” (which we all know now is a song dating back to the Annunaki) and connected to stop the moon from falling, it brought her back.

She goes onto say that it was a fragment of the lost language, which is basically what she turned herself into, and because that fragment is “Apple” and was used to connect everyone on the entire planet, it awoke her.

As she starts to destroy the ruins, the Gear users have no idea how they’ll actually get off the moon now. However, Noble Red use their Daedalus Labyrinth as a means to get them back to Earth.

Vanessa tells them to not get the wrong idea, as this is partially a way for them to leave a curse on the Gear users and show them that the Earth can’t be saved. But Hibiki brings up what her dad said about curses can be turned into blessings.

So now everyone says that they’ll carry on their feelings once they get back home. Everyone BUT Maria and Tsubasa, which I found interesting...and honestly was kinda glad for.

Given the fact that Maria, and Tsubasa especially, went through the whole concert ideal with them and Tsubasa getting a rather debilitating seal put on her by one of them, I can’t...really see her forgiving them ever. Lol. Or even saying that she’ll carry on their feelings after what they did to her sooooo uh, yeah.

But this is how Noble Red dies, and once they’re gone, the Gear users are left in space. One cute little moment, despite how it being started out made me laugh, was getting Tsubasa to reach out and grab Hibiki’s hand this time.

Like what Maria said last episode, she assumed that Hibiki felt sad when Tsubasa didn’t take her hand in episode 10 but “she found the courage to reach out and grab your hand anyway”. Maria tells Tsubasa to have a little bit more courage, and Tsubasa laments that she couldn’t do it and hurt Hibiki’s feelings. So in a way, this was her chance to reach out and make it up to her.

As they are making their way into orbit, HQ reassures them that they’re all okay and basically fighting back against Yggdrasil.

And because of this, it’s literally the whole world working together to get rid of Yggdrasil or at least slow it down.

But a nice little surprise was actually showing Ogawa’s brothers!

And of course they’re helping too. Ogawa’s family was actually mentioned way back in G’s keywords, explaining that Souji was the head, Shinji decided to use his ninja skills for helping organizations (like S.O.N.G or 2nd Div at the time) while Suteinu didn’t want anything to do with the clan and became a host club owner instead. Lmao.

Now recently, in XDU, they actually showed Suteinu for the very first time. If no one plays the game, they wouldn’t know this of course but he literally showed up before this episode aired so I recognized him immediately. They never showed the older brother in the game, or any other type official things, so that’s a first in general haha.

But with all this happening, how will the Gear users get back to Earth safely? Well, Hibiki suggests using their X-Drives, which seems impossible because they don’t have enough Phonic Gain for it.

And all Hibiki ends up saying is for them to believe in the songs of their hearts and the Symphogears themselves. With that said, they start singing their Zesshou’s. The shield from their Amalgam’s have been protecting them from the re-entry, but once they finish singing it, the shields break immediately and I swear to God they should have like...burned up in the atmosphere.

Shem-Ha thought that too clearly. Lol.

Now this quote is a reference to the tagline back for season 1: “Meteorid-falling, burning, and disappear, then...” it was just translated a different way.

And somehow, through some insane and confusing miracle(?) they managed to come back with the use of X-Drive.

Now I’m assuming these are X-Drive mixed with their Amalgam forms? Though it doesn’t explain why their hair looks all fiery? I joked that it was really due to them re-entering orbit and literally just got fire hair from it all lmao. But truthfully, I have no idea how they achieved this and I assume possible keywords will be revealed for it this Friday??

But basically, as expected, this is the form that was shown in the logo.

I’m so surprised by Kirika’s long hair though. Due to the shot of Hibiki, I can’t tell if she has long hair or not (I’m assuming not because that red part we see floating behind her might be her scarf????) but because her and Kirika are the only short haired people, I was just wondering if it was the same for Hibiki. But we won’t see until this Saturday though.

Either way, it ends just like this of course, so the showdown is literally pushed to episode 13. I’m...really not sure how they’re going to fit so much into a 25 minute episode. Lol.

Like, maybe the fight is the first half and conclusion is the other? But if that’s the case, something is going to be rushed/pushed. The fight could be quick, or the resolution could be quick, either or. That’s all I see it as for now.

And of course I’m worried about Miku, have been for weeks now (and I’m not joking about asking my friend to reassure me probably for this whole week about it lol), and I wonder if Hibiki will even sing “Kimi Dake Ni” this episode but only one way to find out haha.

I can’t believe we’re already near the end though. Feels like the season just started and now, the whole series is literally about to end with this upcoming episode. I wonder how it will end or how they’ll close it out. It feels like a lot to cover in a short amount of time but I’ll wait and see before making any concrete opinions.

It feels a bit...overwhelming really. I never watched a show live for so many years to see it end. It’s a completely different feeling for me so I know I’m going to feel a bit emotional. I already feel emotional typing this up and thinking about it. We’ll have the OVAs and new songs until next year with the blu rays releasing but the actual show will be over. And that’s a lot to process with the whole journey in mind.

It wasn’t a perfect one but it’s been one heck of a ride.

But I’ll save that sappiness for after next episode.

Chapter 5: Man, Myth, Legend? Girl, Warrior, White Wolf

Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4

To say that Elliana was overwhelmed would be a drastic understatement. Since her less-than-perfect reunion with Sam and Dean, she and the boys had a mini catch-up session covering the following:

· Sam and Dean ended up on a path before meeting Ellie that led to Lucifer, the freaking devil, being set free from a cage in hell (the boys thought it best to keep Elliana out of that mess until it became necessary)

· Gabriel was trying to get them to play their roles as vessels for Lucifer and the archangel Michael so they could fight

· The boys, along with Bobby, Cas, and two other hunters, Ellen and Jo tried to kill Lucifer but they failed and Ellen and Jo died in the process

o This ended in Lucifer setting the four horsemen free, bringing the coming of the Biblical apocalypse

Along with this information, you could only imagine how the now 14-year old took to fighting one of said horsemen, coming across real-life zombies in Bobby’s hometown, the boys dying, dealing with a false prophet, and meeting the boys’ half-brother only to see him be abducted by angels.

Not well.

Not that she let it show much, but Ellie was definitely freaking out on the inside. If a teenager fighting plain old monsters was normal – this was abnormal for her; like a whole new level.

Given this fact – it was understandable that there hasn’t been a chance to slow down lately; hence the arrival at another motel.

Elysian fields.

It was dark and it was pouring rain like no one’s business, so Sam, Dean, and Elliana (Anaya sticking close by her side) ran into the building, trying and failing to shield themselves from the downpour.

Once inside, the trio took a moment to catch their breath, shake the water from their hair, and froze at the motel’s appearance. Their jaws slightly dropped at the higher-end furniture and décor, not used to places that nice.

“Nice digs for once,” Dean commented, looking around.

Sam could only nod his head in agreement, still a bit stunned from the shower outside.

Sam and Ellie stood together as Dean was checking in. Anaya let out a low growl at Elliana’s side as the hotel worker leaned forward a bit, examining Dean. He pointed out a small cut on Dean’s neck and handed him a tissue; Anaya kept her eyes locked onto the man and stepped a little closer to Ellie.

Ellie took the behavior into consideration and also eyed the man. He noticed this and simply smiled over at her.

“Beautiful dog. Siberian Husky, yes?” he said pleasantly.

Ellie narrowed her eyes a bit and nodded, also finding herself wary.

Dean finished signing paperwork and looked back to the receptionist. “You wouldn’t happen to have a coffee shop, would ya?”

“Buffet,” the man said. “All you can eat.” He leans in a bit an continues, “best pie in the tri-state area.”

Dean adopts a bit of a wonderstruck expression and smiles. “You don’t say.”

The group looks around the corner where the man had pointed and was indeed met with one amazing buffet layout. Ellie grabbed Dean’s arm before he could run in.

“Can I have one of the room keys?” she asked, eyes scoping out the place before resting on the boys again.

“Why don’t you grab something to eat first? You ok?” Sam was quick to jump in with the ‘worried older brother’ face.

“Yeah,” she said. “I just want to relax a bit before digging in,” she said, not wanting to ruin Dean’s eagerness yet.

Sam sighed but Dean handed her the key. “Stay out of trouble, then,” he said, smirking lightly. “We’ll be up soon.”

As Ellie and Anaya passed the front counter, Anaya leaned into Elliana once more and pricked her ears, lowly growling again as she looked to the receptionist.

Soon, they made it to the room and Ellie couldn’t help but smile at the sight. Compared to every place else she had stayed, this was like a 5-star hotel. She closed and locked the door behind her and jumped onto one of the beds, allowing herself to enjoy something for a moment. Anaya jumped up and lied next to her reluctantly, still wary of things.

Curled up next to her dog on a plush bed, it didn’t take long for Elliana to fall asleep.

“Who are you? Are you an angel?”

“I’m more of a…guardian if you will. Technically, sure, I’m an angel; but more of a rogue. Just someone that heard your prayer and came to help. Speaking of which – not to put a damper on the already dampened mood, but I need you to go pack your normal and your hunting things and we need to go because that demon will come back for you.”

“Wait – how did you know I hunt?”

“Guardian,” the figure said, shrugging a bit. “Now, things, go, no pressure but we should kinda hurry.”

“Ok, Ellie, you’re doin’ great, kid. We’re gonna stop here for a bit,” Gabriel says, sitting down on a bench with the girl. “I can’t stick around much longer. I have a lot of things to attend to,” the archangel explained. “There’s a motel not far from here. You go in and tell them your parents dropped you off and told you to check in-“

“Like in Home Alone 2 when Kevin checks into the Plaza Hotel?” Elliana said a bit excitedly, despite the things she just witnessed.

Gabriel chuckled a bit. He knew there was a reason he answered this prayer.

“Exactly,” he said, a small smile on his face. “Avoid the workers as best you can but leave the moment you wake up. Don’t give them a chance to ask questions or see much of your face if you can help it. You’re young and they’ll find out something’s up and probably call the police or social services or something.

“You’re young. You shouldn’t have to live like this but you do. But I’ve watched over you for a couple months and know you can handle it.”

Elliana was scared, of course; but she knew this was coming for a while. And she was determined to make it work.

So the girl nodded her head at the man and he smiled again.

“Now, I won’t be there every second with you, but if you really need me – just pray for me, ok? And take this with you.”

Gabriel handed the girl a small necklace. She took it and laid it over one of her hands and examined it. It had a silver chain with a silver crescent moon, a circular pendent with a white wolf hanging in its center.

“Wolves are strong and tough and smart. Just like you. I believe in you, White Wolf.”

Elliana smiled and looked up at him. “Thank you, Gabriel.”

Elliana was woken by Sam gently shaking her shoulder. She had only been out for maybe an hour while the guys were downstairs and they found her asleep when they came up.

Dean, like Ellie, was in awe of the room but Sam looked as uncertain as Ellie had felt earlier.

“Isn’t this place kind of in the middle of nowhere?” he asked.

“Yeah?” Dean replied, trying not to care.

“So what’s a 4-star hotel doing on a no-star highway?”

“And as much as I hate to admit it too, Sam has a point. And not only that, but Anaya was acting on-edge in the lobby with the receptionist. She’s only ever like that for a reaso-“

Ellie is cut off by the couple in the room next to them being particularly loud with their activities. Dean starts to smirk before Anaya lets out a bark before the wall between the two rooms is pushed in with a bang.

The trio goes to check out the room to find it trashed, and Dean catches a glimpse of an engagement ring on the floor. They all look at each other, eyebrows raised, when Dean suggests they do some digging.

“Ellie, Sammy and I are gonna head downstairs to see what the bellhop creep knows about this. Why don’t you and Anaya sniff around the room a bit then head back to ours? We’ll meet you back up here in a little bit.”

Elliana nodded and they split ways.

She turned back to Anaya and drew two fingers out towards the room; “Search, Anaya,” she commanded lightly before taking a look at things as well.

Upon finding nothing of significance, Ellie and Anaya returned to her and the boys’ room. She waited a little while before texting Sam to see if they found anything. After a few minutes, Ellie started getting suspicious, as the boys usually responded to her almost right away (well, Sam did anyway).

“Come on, Anaya,” Ellie said, opening the door but stopping in her tracks when she was met with the receptionist. “What are you doing here?” Ellie said, a challenging tone in her voice..

“Sorry,” he said. “It’s best if you stay up here.”

“Where are Sam and Dean?” Ellie challenged again. Anaya stalked over to the two, lowering her ears and snarling at the man before her. He looked at her with a certain look in his eyes that made Elliana want to shoot him. “I wouldn’t do that, if I were you. She’s fought werewolves and vampires and other monsters like you. She won’t hesitate to fight you too. And neither will I,” Elliana threatened, pulling a knife from her jacket.

The man flicked a wrist and sent Elliana and Anaya flying back a few feet onto the floor and he shut the door, warding the room to keep them inside.

“Hey!” Ellie yelled, running forward to grab the doorknob, pounding on the door when it wouldn’t open. She pulled out her phone and tried texting and calling Sam and Dean but she no longer had service. And unknown to her, the boys were downstairs being used as bargaining chips to a room full of deities.

Ellie rakes her hands through her hair and turns around, only to let out a surprised scream when she sees a figure sitting on the couch across the room. Out of instinct, she throws her knife at it but it’s stopped in the air just inches from the figure’s face.

“Jeez. A ‘nice to see you’ would’ve been better, I think,” a cheeky voice said. Elliana finally focused to find Gabriel closing her knife and tossing it on the ground as he stood up and walked over to her. He smiled and opened his arms expectantly but was instead met with a fist to the cheek.

A shout of pain was let out but not by the archangel.

Gabriel looked down with a raised eyebrow at Ellie, who was bent over, fist pulled into her chest.

“Ok, 1: you know that does pretty much nothing; and 2: what was that for?!” the archangel said, extremely confused at the moment.

“What the hell, Gabriel?!” Ellie yelled, standing up now but still clutching her hand. “Why would you take Sam and Dean and not even say anything to me?! You knew I was with them! You didn’t think it right to even give me an explanation when I left?! I thought they abandoned me, you jerk!! I was hurt!”

Ellie looked angrily at Gabriel, but had tears in her eyes remembering how bad she felt thinking Sam and Dean had left her. Gabriel saw this in her eyes and sighed, feeling a little guilt start welling up in his chest.

“Ok, E – I really am sorry. I was stupid and didn’t think about how taking them would affect you. And I know this isn’t an excuse but I had to figure some things out once they left and I got side tracked from you. Now, I admit I still don’t like those idiots,” this earned a glare from Ellie, prompting Gabriel to hold a finger up for her to be patient. “But, I know they’ve taken good care of you and should have remembered that. Can my ladybird forgive me?” Gabriel took Ellie’s hands and, though he was serious in what he said, gave her his best puppy-dog eyes that would rival Sam’s.

“Come on, kiddo,” Gabriel begged the teenager, who had her back to him.

Elliana had just finished a hunt; it was just a simple salt ‘n burn but one of the victims had ended up in the hospital. Because I was too late, she though sadly. Gabriel had ‘the talk’ with her about how you can’t save or keep everyone completely safe. And she understood that. At least that’s what she said. But the girl still beat herself up over it.

So here was Gabriel, an archangel for Chuck’s sake, begging a teenage hunter to ‘turn that frown upside down’ (yes, he actually said that).

Gabriel sighed and appeared in front of Elliana, taking her hands in his, making her look at him.

“Come on, little wolf. I know you know you can’t blame yourself. And think about it – if you hadn’t been there, that person could have died. But you were. And they didn’t.” Gabriel saw the corners of her lips tug a bit. “So, please don’t be so hard on yourself. For me. Pwease?” he added with a childish voice, pushing his bottom lip out and giving her puppy-dog eyes. Ellie giggled as he did this, making the archangel give a triumphant smile and gave his little wolf a kiss on the head.

Elliana, of course, couldn’t help but smile a bit at that (it was a curse that she almost always gave into that look, and even more of a curse that Gabriel knew it). She sighed a bit, looking over at Anaya, who was wagging her tail enthusiastically at the archangel, and looked back up.

“I guess so,” she said with a small smirk.

Gabriel chuckled a bit and hugged her. “That’s my girl.” He bent down to greet the overly excited dog next to Ellie, turns out she had a soft spot for the archangel too, then stood up to look at Elliana seriously again. “Ok, down to the reason I’m here. You guys have driven into a big trap, as I’m sure you’ve already deduced. Your boys down there? They’re currently in the hands of a bunch of gods who want to use them as game pieces in the Lucifer’s-apocalypse-and-Michael-wants-to-fight-him game. Now, before you freak out,” he continued, raising a finger again when Ellie’s face dropped in shock. “Give me two secs to save their butts and I’ll be back.”

With a snap of his fingers, Gabriel vanished.

Elliana looked over to Anaya, eyes wide and jaw slightly dropped. What the heck is happening? She thought.

Not a minute later, Sam and Dean appeared on the other side of the room, both looking thoroughly confused.

“Ok, what the – holy crap!” Dean said, looking at Sam.

“Guys!” Ellie called, running to hug them both.

They hug her back and Sam looks at Dean. “By the way, next time I say let’s keep driving, uh…let’s keep driving,” he said.

“Ok, yeah. Next time,” Dean snarked.

“Alright, guys, enough,” Elliana huffed, getting their attention. “You can have your dumb brother fight later,” she continued, earning a double bitch face from the Winchesters. “We’re in kind of a big situation right now and we need to figure out what to do next. So what’s our play?”

“Well, there’s gods in the ballroom and a bunch of people in the kitchen freezer,” Sam filled Ellie in.

“Alright so…I-I…I don’t know,” Dean started, wracking his brain for what to take care of first. “I guess we grab those poor saps outta the freezer, bust ‘em out? Gank a few freaks along the way if we’re lucky?”

“And when are you ever lucky?” Gabriel’s voice cut in.

The trio looked over to see him sitting on the couch again, amusement in his eyes.

“Ok, you know what? Bite me,” Dean snapped. “You know, I should’ve known. This had your stink on it all from the jump.”

“Dean-“

“You think I’m behind this? Please. I’m the Costner to your Houston. I’m here to save your ass,” Gabriel defended himself, though keeping his usual humored façade.

The guys looked at him confused.

“You want to pull us out of the fire?” Dean said, still the only one to speak.

“Bingo. Those gods are either gonna dust you or use you as bait. Either way – you’re uber-boned.”

“Wow, ‘cause a couple of months ago, you were telling us that we need to ‘play our roles’. You were uber-boning us.”

“Ohhhh, the end is still nigh,” Gabriel said, tilting his head pointedly. “Michael and Lucifer are still gonna dance the lambada,” he continued, dancing between the brothers a bit. “But not tonight. Not here.”

“And why do you care?”

“I don’t care…but…me and Kali, we uh…had a thing,” Gabriel forced out a bit awkwardly, but composed himself as he continued, “Chick was all hands.”

Sam and Dean threw him a look.

“What can I say? I’m sentimental. And I’m here for this one too,” Gabriel added, pointing over to Elliana.

Now both guys narrowed their eyes in confusion.

“Ellie?” Dean said.

“Elliana, you know Gabriel?” Sam asked, finally speaking.

Ellie’s cheeks burned just the slightest bit from the sudden attention. “He uh…he was the one that saved me from the demon.”

“Him?” Dean said incredulously, pointing at the archangel.

“Yeah, poke fun all you want,” Gabriel said, rolling his eyes. He didn’t expect the Winchesters to credit him with anything of the sort. “If it wasn’t for her, I would’ve let you guys down already.”

Sam, Dean, and even Ellie rolled their eyes at his remark. But they continued talking, trying to form a plan to escape, and to try and free the people stuck in the freezer as well. Gabriel was going to try and break the blood spell on the boys while Sam, Dean, and Ellie would let the guests out. Before they temporarily parted, Gabriel snapped Anaya into the Impala to keep her safe because he said ‘one of the gods downstairs wouldn’t give a passing thought to eat her in front of you’ – that was more than enough of a reason for Ellie.

The group snuck downstairs into the kitchen; Sam began to pick the lock on the freezer while Dean and Elliana tried and failed to stop the men that came in to stop them. So once again, the Winchesters (with Elliana now) found themselves surrounded by the deities.

Soon enough, Gabriel was brought in by Kali.

“Well well well,” she said, looking vaguely betrayed as she stared down at him. “Looks like the trickster has tricked us.”

“Kali…don’t…” Gabriel said, lightly pleading with her.

“You’re mine now.” The goddess of destruction sat herself on Gabriel’s lap. “You have something I want.” She ran her hand down his chest, moving it into his jacket to pull out his angel blade. “An archangel’s blade…from the archangel…Gabriel.”

Elliana’s eyes widened and Dean had to put a hand on her shoulder, silently communicating to her not to do anything drastic just yet.

“Ok! Ok! So I got wings. Like kotex,” Gabriel said in a ‘who cares’ tone. “But it doesn’t make me any less right about Lucifer.”

Kali now stood, looking down at him again.

“He’s lying. He’s a spy.”

“I’m not a spy. I’m a runaway,” he said matter-of-factly. “I’m trying to save you. I know my brother, Kali. He should scare the living crap out of you. You can’t beat him. I’ve skipped ahead – seen how this story ends-“

“Your story,” Kali corrects him. “Not ours. Westerners, I swear” she shakes her head. “The sheer arrogance. You think you’re the only ones on earth? You pillage and you butcher in your God’s name. You’re not the only village. And He’s not the only god. And now you think you can just rip the planet apart? You’re wrong,” she continued, voice breaking. “There are billions of us. And we were here first. If anyone gets to end this world…it’s me.” Kali leaned down and caressed Gabriel’s face. “I’m sorry.” She slid the angel blade through Gabriel’s abdomen, causing light to stream from his mouth and eyes.

“Nooo! Gabriel!!” Ellie shouted, jumping up from her chair, only to be pulled back by Sam. “No!” she cried, fighting against the younger Winchester, who only held her tighter. She eventually stopped fighting but stared at Gabriel’s body as tears streamed down her face.

“This is crazy,” one of the room’s occupants commented.

Kali simply stood there, also staring at the dead archangel. “They can die,” she said in finality. “We can kill Lucifer.”

Discussion continued and Dean stood up, bargaining with the deities. Sam bypassed the shock at Dean’s actions to quietly comfort the girl in his arms. Elliana felt like her heart was ripped to shreds; as if that blade went through her heart instead of Gabriel’s. That angel meant the world to her.

Once Dean was able to convince the deities to allow him to set the hotel’s other inhabitants free, he walked over to Sam and Ellie, telling them to follow him. Ellie reluctantly followed the brothers to the kitchen.

As Dean was ushering everyone out of the hotel quickly, a hushed voice called his name from the Impala. He looks over and his eyes go wide as he sees Gabriel ducking in the backseat, motioning for him to get over there.

“Ellie, I really wish you’d wait in the car. I know you want to stay with us, but this is headed in a much different direction than we thought, ok? Lucifer is going to be here. And we don’t want you getting caught in any crossfire,” Sam said, looking desperately into Elliana’s eyes.

“Sam, please,” she whispered, eyes still holding tears from earlier. “I just lost Gabe…I won’t lose you guys too; I can help you.”

“Well good luck with that. Me? I’m blowing Jonestown. Those lemmings in there wanna run off a cliff, that’s their business,” Gabriel said in his conversation with Dean, sold on wanting to leave this whole situation.

“I see right through you, you know that? The smart-ass shell, the whole ‘I could give a crap’ thing? Believe me, it takes on to know one,” Dean said, narrowing his eyes at the archangel.

“That so?” he replied, tilting his head as he nonchalantly pet the dog sitting in the back seat with him.

“Not that I doubt you, because I don’t – but are you sure you can handle this?” Sam asked, searching the girl’s eyes in front of him as he placed his hands on her shoulders.

Ellie sighed and looked down. “No,” she whispered, then looked up at Sam. “But I couldn’t handle that demon either.”

“Yes. And maybe those freaks in there aren’t your blood but they’re your family.”

“They just stabbed me in the friggin’ heart!”

“Maybe. But you still give a crap about them, don’t you?” Dean continued, knowing he was starting to hit close to home.

“Dean.”

“They’re gonna die in there without you.”

“I can’t kill my brother,” Gabriel said, defeated.

“Can’t or won’t?” Dean challenged. Gabriel cast his eyes to the side, remaining silent. “That’s what I thought.” Dean went to open the car door but turned back to the archangel. “Elliana is in there too, ya know. And she’ll die without you too. Me and Sammy may never get it, but the kid loves you. And I can tell you care about her too,” Dean continued, trying one last time.

Gabriel felt a tug at his heart; he had been hoping Dean wouldn’t mention Ellie for this very reason.

At Gabriel’s continued silence, Dean sighed and got out of the car.

Dean rejoined Sam, Ellie and the others in the hotel. Most of the deities fanned out, leaving Kali and Baldur in the ballroom with the trio. Like Sam, Dean had tried to convince Elliana to wait in the car, only to receive a sad chuckle.

“You don’t get it, do you? I’m with you guys. Through everything. I’m in this mess by my own choosing and I’m not letting you do it without me,” she told him, raising an eyebrow with a light smile. Her smile faded soon as she continued, “And I want to do it for Gabe too…”

Dean was about to tell her Gabriel was still alive when the lights began to flicker violently.

“What’s going on?” Baldur said, glancing around the room.

“It’s him,” Sam said, unconsciously pulling Elliana closer.

“How?” Kali asked, not expecting Lucifer until they removed the enochian symbols from Sam’s ribs.

“Does it matter?” Dean spoke up. “Shazzam us outta here, would ya?”

“We can’t,” Baldur said, fear lacing his voice the smallest bit.

“Of course you can’t,” a voice instantly grabbed everyone’s attention. Their heads all snapped up to the figure standing in the open doorway. “You didn’t say ‘mother, may I?’”

Lucifer lightly smirked as he took account of who stood in the room before him, of course stopping on the Winchesters.

“Sam, Dean. Good to see you again. And who’s this with you?” Lucifer asked, tilting his head in curiosity as he looked at Elliana. “New travel buddy? I’m Lucifer - though I’m assuming you already knew that,” he continued, talking directly to her now. “What’s your name?”

“Go to hell,” Ellie said coldly, not showing the slightest bit of intimidation.

“Oh, I just got out of there, sweetheart,” he easily countered.

“Don’t call me sweetheart,” she spat, taking a challenging step forward. Sam and Dean pulled her back, causing Lucifer to smirk.

“I like her,” he said to the boys. “Feisty.”

Kali muttered to Baldur, who had started walking towards Lucifer with a dominant gait. The boys took a few slow steps backwards with Elliana as the deity gave a short, angered monologue to Lucifer, ending with him consequently ripping Baldur’s heart out.

As Lucifer threw his body to the ground, Kali became enraged and threw a fire attack at him. At the growing physical conflict, the boys and Ellie jumped behind one of the overturned tables in the room to duck in cover.

“You guys ok?” Sam asked his brother and Ellie.

“Not really,” Gabriel’s voice replied before either got the chance. All three looked behind Dean to face him – Dean being shocked Gabriel came back and Sam and Ellie shocked that he’s alive. “Better late then never huh?”

“Gabriel?“ Elliana said, tears welling up in her eyes again. “What- you…you were-“

“It’s ok, E. I’m here. Hang tight ok?” Gabriel turns to Dean, handing him a DVD. “Guard this with your life.”

Gabriel went to stand up, but Elliana moved around Dean and quickly grabbed his arm. “Gabe, no. You’re not doing this by yourself,” she said, voice shaking.

The archangel let out a quick sigh; he was hoping to make this a quick exchange to avoid a conversation like this, but of course had no such luck. “This is the only way for you guys to escape. It’ll be ok-“

“No!” Ellie said again in a harsh whisper. “I’m not leaving you here!”

Gabriel fought back the sting in his eyes and he looked over at the brothers. “Please,” he said. “When it’s time, make her leave,” he continued, staring at them determinedly, though his own voice shook a little. “You make her leave.”

They nodded a bit sadly and held a struggling Ellie when she went to grab Gabriel again.

The archangel gently took her face in his hands and planted a kiss on her forehead, making her freeze in her struggles. “I love you, little wolf.”

Gabriel got up and struck a hand out, throwing Lucifer across the room, into the far wall before he could stomp on Kali.

“Luci, I’m home,” Gabriel said as he stepped into view. “Not this time,” he stopped Lucifer’s advance, holding up his angel blade as he helped Kali up. “Guys! Get her out of here,” he called to Sam and Dean over his shoulder.

The boys walked over and did as he said. They and Elliana headed towards the door, Gabriel standing in front of them protectively as he kept a hard stare on Lucifer. As they neared the exit, Ellie stepped out to Gabriel again.

“Gabe, please, please come with us,” she begged quietly.

“Guys,” Gabriel said again, unable to keep his voice from quivering and tears from stinging his eyes.

Sam took Elliana’s arm but she pushed him away, running back for the archangel so Dean moved up, grabbed her, and threw the girl over his shoulder, leading the rest of the group out of the room.

“Gabe, no! Nooo!! Gabriel!!” Ellie screamed hoarsely as she tried to free herself from Dean.

Gabriel closed his eyes and twitched his neck to get his head back in the game and confront his brother. Though he supposed it wouldn’t make too much of a difference. This was a fight he knew he wasn’t going to walk away from.

Sam, Dean, Ellie, and Kali got outside and to the car – the goddess in the front seat with Dean, and Sam in the back with Anaya and Ellie once Dean set her down. The girl made one last, albeit weak attempt to go back to the hotel, but Sam pulled her into his side.

Elliana stared out the Impala’s window for as long as she could, hoping for any sign that things would work out for the better, but was only met with a bright white light flashing from the ballroom windows, forcing a sad cry from Ellie. Her hands flew up to cover her mouth and she squeezed her eyes shut. Dean looked in the rearview mirror at Sam, both boys hurting to see her like this.

“Come here,” Sam whispered, pulling Ellie into his lap, wrapping his arms around her. Soft cries and whimpers escaped Ellie as she clutched onto Sam as if he was her lifeline. Sam quietly shushed Elliana, one hand rubbing calming circles on her back, the other gently cradling her head. He had helped her at least slow her breathing, but tears still flowed from her eyes and a soft cry escaped her lips every now and again.

All the emotions had been eating away at her energy and she started becoming tired. As her eyelids drooped, her head slowly fell against Sam’s shoulder. And everything she had felt before was amplified now, since she knew Gabriel definitely wasn’t coming back this time.

Bonus2: When they get out Magnus isnt exhausted, Cat is, so Magnus can kick Liliths ass, since shes weakling who cant even move apartments without getting tired. Mags wont let her take his Jace again.

The first time Isabelle met Catarina was at the hospital, when the investigations against the Owl were still in their babyshoes. The charming nurse had instantly caught her interest.

They kept in touch afterward, Cat had asked to be kept updated on the case.

And then they talked. About more than just the case. Isabelle felt understood by the warlock, in a way she wasn’t quite used to. Yes, Alec and Jace tried their best, but they were too close to her. To them, she would always be their little sister they needed to worry about. Catarina was a neutral party with a different kind of insight. There was no pity, but also no sugarcoating.

Isabelle had been a bit surprised when Catarina had asked her out on a date. After the initial surprise, she found herself quite eager though. And she had a great time too. For the first time, Isabelle got to gush about all the science and even the gross details of her autopsies without her partner cringing or getting bored. Instead, Catarina was intrigued and she offered just as fascinating stories for Isabelle to absorb. It was amazing and the second date filled soon after.

Of course, everything had to crash and burn for Isabelle when it was revealed that Jace was the Owl – that Lilith, Mother of Demons, was possessing Jace because he had died and Clary had used the Angel’s wish to bring Jace back, leaving him vulnerable to Lilith’s influence.

Magnus and Alec were out of their minds with worry and guilt – they should have seen it, they should have been able to tell the difference. Magnus, in particular, was guilty because he had made the potion used to break Jace’s love for Clary when he had apparently found enough power to break her influence when she had tried to make him murder his sister.

“Kitten. I didn’t expect you to call me today”, stated Catarina pleased.

Isabelle flushed at the nickname and cleared her throat, glad she had left the loft before making the call. “Cat, I need a favor, babe. Can you come to the loft? To help Magnus?”

“Who needs the favor now? You or Magnus?”, asked Catarina, sounding more serious.

“Magnus is planning on doing something really dangerous and I’m… not sure if it’s not too much”, whispered Isabelle. “It’s a lot of magic and… and I’d feel better if you were there, to back him up.”

“At the loft? I’ll be there in a moment. Just let me drop Madzie off at Tessa’s”, replied Catarina.

“Thank you”, sighed Isabelle with a small smile.

Magnus’ eyes were clouded with fear, regret and sadness as he looked out over the city. He understood Alec’s reasoning. He understood that Alec would give everything to save the second half of his soul. Magnus had always known Jace would be Alec’s top priority – and Magnus would always support Alec in that. It was the fear of losing not just Jace, but also Alec, that gripped Magnus’ heart. After so long, Magnus had finally given his heart again, to a pair of beautiful, stubborn, strong and mesmerizing parabatai. He didn’t know if he could handle it to lose them both. He still couldn’t believe that he and Alec had been so preoccupied with everything else to not notice what had been wrong with Jace. Magnus blamed… so many different things for that.

Most of all himself and Alec. Their stupid outfall over the Soul Sword and Magnus joining the Seelie Queen. The break-up between them had shifted their dynamics and put Jace into an awkward position of dating two men who had literally just broken up with each other. Jace had moved out of the loft, because he didn’t want to favor Magnus over Alec – but he also moved into an own, new room instead of sharing with Alec, because he also didn’t want to favor Alec over Magnus. Part of Magnus felt like they had unintentionally ended up punishing their blonde with their break-up.

Not sharing a bed and a home with Jace had put some distance between them and given Jace more opportunity to hide his troubles from them. Alec was so swamped in the whole paper-work of Valentine being dead. Magnus had been so preoccupied with having lost his High Warlock position and yes – with drowning his sorrows in alcohol. If anything, this whole situation was a wake-up call. Magnus had been drinking so much to care less and this was the result. His judgment had been clouded and he had just handed out a dangerous, strong potion to Lilith, without any background check, because he hadn’t cared enough and he had been in a cocktail or two too much.

And partially, Magnus and Alec slowly rekindling their relationship had also been something Magnus had used as an explanation for Jace’s odd behavior. That he pulled away from them because he wanted to give them time to properly figure things out, to prioritize getting through their issues first before they all could come fully together again.

“Magnus. Are you ready?”, asked Catarina softly.

“No”, sighed Magnus. “But I probably never will.”

“Magnus…”, started Catarina unsure, resting a hand on Magnus’ shoulder.

“I can’t lose them both, Catarina”, whispered Magnus, voice breaking. “I only just found them. I…”

Sighing, Catarina pulled Magnus into a hug. “I know. You won’t lose them. Isabelle will be with them and she will make sure to bring both of them back.”

“I hope so”, whispered Magnus, taking a deep breath and straightening up. “Okay. Let’s do this.”

“I don’t look kindly on people who take what’s mine”, declared Lilith with cold eyes.

She tried to attack Magnus, but while Catarina kept the magic going, Magnus countered Lilith. “Funny. I wanted to say the exact same thing to you once we meet again.”

She seemed genuinely surprised by his strength. But she shouldn’t be. He was the son of Asmodeus, he was the rightful High Warlock of Brooklyn – and he was majorly pissed, because that bitch had taken one of his lovers and done unspeakable things to him. His anger was fueling as he drove her back. Clearly, she had expected him to be weakened by the magic using. But now he was truly grateful Catarina was there to share her strength and magic with him, to keep it going as Magnus could fight off Lilith. Who knew what would have happened if he had been here, alone and undefended? It would have been foolish and the only thing that had made him agree to do this had been his intense worry about his possessed lover. His eyes flashed as he pushed Lilith further and further, until she finally folded, seeing that a one-on-one approach was not going to go well, especially not once Catarina would join Magnus. She retreated, but Magnus was sure this wouldn’t be the last thing they’d see of her. After reinforcing his wards, Magnus’ attention snapped to the three unconscious Shadowhunters slowly coming to it.

“Three go in, three come out.”

“No. No! Don’t take them away too!”

“The only people I trust are Alec and Isabelle.”

“Please. Please. I can’t kill you too. Please.”

“She’s gonna come for me. She’s never gonna let me go.”

“Alec, I need you to kill me. Please, I’ve tried. I’ve tried so many times.”

“Please don’t let her take me again.”

His own words were echoing in his head as Jace came to it. His heart was racing with fear. Would he be alone? Would… Would he be with Lilith? A whimper escaped his lips at the thought, as the thought of all the things she would make him do – the things she had made him do.

“Jace. Jace, it’s alright. You’re home. You’re with us. Please open your eyes, please be you.”

Alec’s voice was so broken and desperate that Jace opened his eyes on instinct. The first thing he saw was Alec’s face, leaning over him, looking so pleading. Gasping out, Jace lunged forward, right into his parabatai’s arms. Alec’s breath hitched as he wrapped his arms tightly around Jace, holding him as close as possible, breathing him in and chanting over and over again – You’re back, you’re safe. Jace repeated the words inside his mind and just held onto Alec.

“…J… Jace…”, whispered Magnus cautiously, watching them.

“M… Magnus…?”, asked Jace, voice small and frightened as he turned to look at Magnus with large, broken and hopeful eyes. “Magnus, you… you… brought me back…?”

“Of course, my angel”, whispered Magnus gently. “Of course I did. Alec and I would never abandon you. We love you. We got you back, we’ll protect you.”

Jace let go of Alec with one arm to reach out for Magnus. Magnus gladly let Jace pull him in until all three of them were entangled. Isabelle watched them with a faint smile as she slowly gathered herself off the ground, with Catarina’s help. The nurse pulled him into a brief kiss.

“Let’s give them a little privacy?”, offered Catarina softly.

Without the threesome noticing, the girls left. After what felt like an eternity spent on the floor, Magnus and Alec slowly gathered their blonde and they made their way toward the bathroom. Alec exchanged gentle kisses and caresses with Jace while Magnus peeled him out of his clothes. Magnus exchanged gentle kisses and caresses with Jace while Alec carefully cleaned Jace up with a soft sponge. Jace still looked like a frightened animal, which was why they split up to have one distract their blonde at all times and assure him he was safe. Once they were done, Magnus wrapped Jace up in the softest, fluffiest robes and together, all three of them headed toward the bedroom.

“Is… Is this really real?”, asked Jace, sounding small and afraid, as he was being tucked in.

Magnus was laying on one side of him, Alec on his other side, both having their arms wrapped around Jace, sandwiching him in safety and warmth as they were burrowed under about three fluffy, thick blankets for additional warmth and safety. Magnus and Alec exchanged a heartbroken look.

“Yes, Jace, this is real”, promised Alec, kissing Jace gently. “We’re real. You’re here. You’re safe.”

Magnus made a mental note to call Jem as soon as possible. Jace needed the Silent Brothers now. He needed… he needed so much care for what he had been through. And Magnus and Alec were going to be right there, at his side, supporting him through it all. Protecting him through it all.

Brian!!

The relationship my dadsona (Aiden) and Amanda has T-T I really really reallllllly love Amanda!! I can’t imagine having to be a bad dad to her ;_;

The first meeting with Brian didn’t go so well?? Maxwell is super cute hahaha but Brian and his bragging thing was a miss for me hahah but I had to get through with his route to get my $15 worth, man!! I persevered~ XDDD

Anyway, the first date with Brian…I was very bad at the mini golf mini game hahaha What kind of crazy courses were those??!! XD;; I don’t know how I won the mini golf ‘competition’ and apparently got drinks with Brian at the bar. Here, we find out that he’s a contractor. Cool, I guess. Aiden still wants to beat him at absolutely everything and agrees to the invitation to fishing.

That night Aiden has a dream about his own dad (and it wasn’t a very good one) and the background is so pretty, I had to take a pic hahah

Next! Second date! Well, Brian seems nice. He let Aiden borrow his fishing pole cos apparently we ‘left it at the shop’ hahaha and he brought Maxwell! And put a dog-sized life vest onto him!! How stinking cute is that??!! He offers Aiden one and Aiden was too proud to take it, I think, and jokingly asks Brian to save him if he falls hahaha (He’s cute!!)

Amanda and Daisy goes off into the forest to play after they ‘skipped’ rocks or, well, Amanda threw the rocks into the water XDD;; She’s seriously so cute wowwww On the canoe, Brian starts another competition. Walao, can’t you take a break hahaha Aiden was like like ‘I’m so knowledgeable about fishing’ when he ISN’T! Yes boy, fatherly pride will be your undoing.

To no one’s surprise, Aiden cmi at fishing haha Brian so nice give him his fishing pole aww hahaha

Every one heads to bed but Aiden just had to have ice cream and he checks in on Amanda.

Oh, hell no!! Who made my beautiful daughter cry??!!! I made all the ‘caring dad’ choices but she didn’t tell her dad what was wrong and Aiden went to bed worried.

Amanda left the house giving short answers to Aiden’s questions in the morning and Aiden is left at home, thinking about some past memory with Amanda. He decides not to push her to talk to him and bakes a cake to cheer her up.

She looks so sad, let me go at whoever made her feel like this!!

That gets Amanda to open up about her problem. The basis of the story is that her best friend went behind her back (?) and got with her crush. Her friends drop her out of their group chat because the snake she vented to sent screenshots of their conversation to that group chat and, now she has no friends. Aiden explains that real friends don’t do that to each other, telling her that it takes time to weed out the toxic people in her life (this is dependent on the choice made). This helps Amanda feel better. I’m glad😊 Amanda does not have to deal with this bullshit. If her friends can’t treat her right, they don’t deserve to be friends with her!

Next up would be the third, and final, date with Brian!

I like that there’s the ‘I can’t commit’ button there hahaha I would like to press that button one day and play the field XDD;; For now, I’m sure that Brian is my (or Aiden’s) Dreeeeeeammmm Daaaddyyy~

Overall, I really enjoyed Brian’s route!! I like that I disliked Brian at first but grew to like him for his confession on the ferris wheel~ Even though we don’t know a lot about Brian, we find out a lot about Aiden/dadsona’s personality (competitive drama king *cough cough*) XD;; I would like to know what happened to Brian’s s/o?? He doesn’t talk about them… Also, I’d like to know what happens after this?? Too much to ask?? Sorry!!

Today was Monday :) Monday in Portugal means bucket day for students. I’ll tell you more about it when we get there. So it must have been around 11 when I woke up. This time Bernardo was awake as well so we decided we would just have some breakfast. We sat together and talked over the plan for today. Today I was going to see a lot of touristic Porto spots! I couldn’t wait :)! So we headed out to one of Porto’s general squares and the adjacent city hall. Man, it looked great!

We walked past a really beautiful mural and then headed to his university building. Apart from the fact that the building is really old and apparently quite monumental, we couldn’t see that much. Porto University is about 100 years old so compared to my home university in Leiden it’s a small baby haha. We walked around the park and also stopped by the place we went for a drink on Friday. It sure differed a lot from the way I’d seen it by night! Bernardo’s friends told me I’m very lucky as the weather we’re having right now is very unusual for the Portuguese spring! Well, I sure noticed that! Today was crazy! 27°C! It was hot! Now for those who know me: My max is about 25 so I was sweating a bit xD The Portuguese call me crazy as well though. At night when we went out, they just couldn’t believe I wasn’t cold in shorts and a t-shirt with the outside temperature being 12°C! 12?! Guys, that’s peanuts for me :P

Did I already tell you that I really liked the city? No? Well, I do! It’s amazing. What a city to live in! It’s very beautiful and it’s situated on a hill so it goes up and down a lot :)! As Bernardo had taken me to the first panoramic spot we started planning out the rest of our Oporto day! We went to a really nice bookshop! Wanna know why? Do you remember Harry Potter? This is the stairwell they used for the library in the films.

During breakfast, Bernardo’s grandmother had recommended us to go to the panoramic view of the Torre do Clérigos. She sure was right! It looked amazing. I took a lot of pictures and peered around for more than 20 minutes. Bernardo told me Porto won an award for being the best city to discover as a tourist in Europe. I think I can only agree on that! As I’ve been to many places, I don’t think I’ve enjoyed and explored one as much as Porto! It sure is a really nice city. And it has so much to see!

We decided to go for lunch to a place called Santiago. It is famous for its dish called Francesinha. Francesinha is basically a stack of all kinds of meat with a sandwich at the bottom and cheese on top. It looks delicious and sure was delicious as well! I really liked it and we are going to eat it again soon! But this time I think it tasted even better because we had climbed all those stairs of the church tower.

As we finished our lunch we got a call from Poncho! He wasn’t doing much and wondered where we hanging out. Bernardo told him to meet us in front of the post office and so we did. As we got to the post office I had to write a few letters to friends and family so the boys decided to wait for me. What they didn’t know though, was that I was also writing letters to Japan. So they waited for over 30 mins for to write all my letters and then we were finally off to the next stop! Ponte de D. Luís or the Don Luis I bridge. The great thing about Portugal, in general, is that everything is quite cheap. This means that you can get a pint for 2€! 0,5L for 2€ unbelievable! As you’re also allowed to drink wherever you want, we figured that with this hot weather a fresh beer would be nice. So we got ourselves a beer and started crossing the bridge. It was a spectacular view! I must have taken 30 pictures just to be able to have every single part of the two sides of the bridge visible in one of my pictures. They also took me to the central station of Porto which has some really nice murals of the history of the town.

As we had crossed the bridge it was now time to go down to the lower level. Here we would take a walk along the river bank before going up town to see the sunset. I can only say this: Spectacular view!! It really was amazing :D! We sat down by the riverbank and took a quick rest. I just took a moment to soak up this amazing view and really loved it. I’ve taken a lot of pictures and tried to select the best ones from them. I hope you can feel the great feeling I had when I sat there watching this view.

It was time for the sunset! Bernardo had promised me a view with a drink! It sure didn’t disappoint! The view was great, The beer good and so was the weather. I greeted Bernardo��s friends and sat down on the grass. As I sipped my beer, I relaxed and talked a bit with Poncho. We talked about a Portuguese phenomenon called “Road to Queima.” Queima das fitas is the student week in Portugal, where all students go all out for a whole week before their exams. They also do a lot of traditional activities and have many traditions that go back a long way. The Queima week itself in Bernardo’s words: “It’s a week that we get really f-ed up and where we’ll be more drunk than sober.” The road to Queima is explained as follows: If a guy has his eye on a girl he slowly talks to here for a bit during the weeks before Queima. When Queima then comes in, the guy goes for his move. Bernardo’s brother explained it as follows: “You must see the road to Queima as a seed that you plant. You plant the seed, water it for a few weeks and then have it bloom when Queima comes! Depending on the man, you either plant your seed really late or start preparing it for the blooming when spring comes in.” So they all explained their roads to Queima and we just had a really nice talk whilst enjoying a good beer.

It must have been around 20:30 when Bernardo said we were going to meet his friends from his study and have dinner with them. So we sat down and had a few beers. Now Bernardo’s friends didn’t talk English to me but Bernardo explained that people need alcohol first before talking to you if they don’t really know you. I noticed that as a few friends of Bernardo started talking to me after the beer. I got really hot though so I sat outside for a bit without knowing that I had worried Bernardo, who came storming out:”Bro are you okay?!” We talked about cultural differences and Bernardo explained that, as he was their senior within the student culture, he would have a little bit of an older brother like authority over them and they would sometimes listen to him if he had something to tell them. Before going down to the river for bucket night it was time for the other guys to get an extra layer. I joined them and had a burger as well. Then it finally was there! Bucket night!!! Bucket night is yet another student phenomenon. If one goes out on a Monday they can get a bucket of any kind of cocktail for half of the regular price. In this case, it means that you can get a 0,75L cup filled with liquor for the price of only 3 euros!!!! I can’t imagine that happening in the Netherlands XDDDD

Bernardo’s brother had joined us for the night and man did we have a good night! Bernardo’s brother is a very funny guy and really nice to talk to. He also kept the English going in front of his Portuguese friends just so I could join in on the conversations as well. Now people normally only drink two buckets before being able to go all out for the rest of the night. As I had double the amount they couldn’t believe their eyes. One of his friends said: “Dude why are you such a monster?!” As it was custom to be on their level, I tried doing that too. It just took me a little longer XDDD I did feel kind of guilty though. So I even asked his friends whether it was okay if I got extra because it kind of felt wrong. As the night was lit, they started teaching me new Portuguese! Tá-se a pôr! Is a student saying which you could basically translate as “the night is put in”? What you could then turn into the following: “The night is lit!” As everyone had enough for the rest of the night we went to Vila. Vila is a club in Porto which differs in music style from night to night. Tonight it was a mix of Portuguese songs and some strange music I just didn’t really like. As Bernardo was not really feeling the night either we went home around 3:30. This is early for a Portuguese night btw. We took a cab home, had a lot of water and, which I would take over kebab every day, leftovers of his grandmother’s delicious cooking! As I chilled for a bit on the couch I apparently fell asleep. Avó Minda found me there the next morning, but she too remembered that I would be too hot so she didn’t pull a blanket over my body and instead opened a window! What a legend. His grandmother really takes great care of me XDD So yeah: OW WHAT A NIGHT!!! I really enjoyed it. Porto is awesome, the Portuguese people great and the food is once again really delicious!!! Still, 4 days to go! :D ! It can’t get any better anymore, CAN IT?!

Day 4: Bucket day!!! Today was Monday :) Monday in Portugal means bucket day for students. I'll tell you more about it when we get there.

Well... I barely slept. 😂 Least I’ve got coffee... Gonna try to fumble out some words... (Spoilers ahoy!)

I didn’t quite expect the emotional roller coaster this has turned into... and not entirely cause of the episode itself. 😂 It’s feeling ever so bitter sweet... mostly in that experiencing something so emotional without a lot of the people that made up this sorta... fandom home? that it was to me. All the friends I love and care about. It’s... been feeling kinda lonely... Even though I’m not alone of course, but... yeah. It’s hard to explain. 😂 And then with this looking like the end (...though I kinda doubt ITV is gonna shelve the franchise for another 10+ years... least I sure hope not. That’d seem VERY dumb to me. But what will they do with it? That’s the real big question, ain’t it? XD I was a bit agape after attaching ‘Season’ to every time they spoke of ending that today they finally changed their tune and was like THE END. What the ever loving heck, ITV. Seriously. 😂 BUT I digress...) ...IDK if any of that feeling will ever come back now. Shit changes... god, do I ever know it does... but I guess... I just wasn’t ready for it yet. ;A;

...And boy is my body telling me that. 😂 Anxiety is such an asshole.

ANYHOO.

This ep.

As I mentioned when I gif’d it (opening my gif making stuff was first thing I did XD) that HUG man. That old hug art I did, the original version (the one you see commonly around now is the tweaked one) was one of my first finished (ish) TAG piece (only few rough doodles and half coloured things were before that lol) that I posted June 10th 2015.... so long ago. (My first post that was some sketches was June 2nd XD Yeah, I’ve been around a long while now, blimey. Not quite the VERY very start, but nearly!)

BUT YEAH. I was wanting this hug for a VERY, VERY long time. XDDD Just, back then, didn’t think it’d involve their Dad too. lol

And then, gosh... Scott in this ep... Last ep was def more Scott heavy... to balance he was stepped back a bit, but... it did make sense? Scott just seems quietly basking in the feeling of having his Dad back. Him hanging back from the hug for a moment having that exchange with his Dad feels a bit like a... passing back the torch? Here they are Dad. I took good care of them. :Db Does that make sense??? IDK. I’m so tired you guys. 😂 But it didn’t feel like Scott needed to say anything. It was written all over his face. He must have been so happy... and relieved. It’s pretty overwhelming in all the best way to hear from someone you haven’t in awhile... so... in this case, it must be turned up to like... an 11. ^^a

Man, I don’t think I can go through this in order so, bear with me if I bounce around.

There’s been so much wondering what this version of Jeff would be like all these years... and in such a short time, we definitely got a LOT to go off of. He’s a Dad who definitely doesn’t hesitate to hug his sons. :3 Fears Grandma as much as the boys, lolololol HUGS HIS ENGINEER. I actually really just... LOVED that scene with Brains. That casual, ‘Hi Brains.’ And then just calling him PARTNER and going right in for a hug... and lol Brains’ lil happy sound. Jeff and Brains were certainly friends in TOS, but there was still a kinda distance between them in that Brains is working for Jeff, but that was definitely laid out to be much different in TAG. I’m not surprised by it, cause Brains is def part of the family, but it was lovely they took the time to show it.

ALSO just how he picked up Virgil was dwelling on something... we don’t really get a window into what exactly... but after all those years, he just... picks right up on Virgil’s in some turmoil. (As said in a tag... MAYBE MOM RELATED? He seems to think Virgil’s worried if he’ll really be okay, which is why I wonder... GONNA DEF WRITE SOME FIC THOUGH. XDb) Like. GOSH. I’m sad we aren’t likely to see more of this Jeff, cause with this single ep, he was absolutely sold on me. And I love he was a total presence... but he did sit back quietly and other than dealing with ‘Brains’ and largely just *watched*. Scott was still in charge here.

So as for the end and what role Jeff is gonna play... WELL... I mean. To be fair here at the end, John is probably changing and heading to the elevator... and I mean, we’ve seen Grandma fill in several times for John... he can’t be awake CONSTANTLY, so I’d always felt a bit like maybe they’d gradually gel into a team with just... one more member. And that seems more likely now that we’ve seen he didn’t just... jump to take command. He sat back and let them do their thing.

And now we can see Jeff is def a bit younger... and as kinda already implied, is definitely one to get his hands dirty, so sometimes (once he’s recovered a bunch) maybe he’ll even go out with the boys. That’d be my guess. ^^a I mean, might be a little kinda jostling at first to settle into a new routine... but while he certainly has a strong presence... he’s also did kinda feel... a bit gentle too? He’s not nearly as stern as TOS!Jeff. It felt like a good balance??? IDK. I’m rambling up a storm. XDDD (...and making walls of text... I should... break these up more lol...)

OKAY ALSO...

WAIIIIT wait. WAIT. This looks familiar. V E R Y familiar... Bridge... rockety thing at bottom... explody warning? Two people inside... *squints* DAY OF DISASTER? IS THAT YOU?

I HAVE A FEELING... If so... //CHEF KISS// VERY NICE. A+ XD

OKAY. WHAT ELSE. Uh. Glad they did end up using Fuse’s (or I guess I could say Clarence’s :D) mixed feelings, which was good and gave Grandma a heck of a moment of awesome. They also served to give some action for Kayo, Penelope and Parker which was good else I suppose they’d have been standing around worriedly. lol Which isn’t really suited to their characters. XD YEAH just lotta nice moments, especially with Kayo and Grandma. ANd just. YEAH. GRANDMA MAN. YOU TELL HIM. and also OMG she was a doctor?! THAT sure explains some things. XD And that’s awesome, gosh.

ALSO the number of HUGS in this ep were A+ Getting a moment with Jeff and Grandma was lovely. :D

LIKE REALLY. LOOK HOW HUG HAPPY THIS DAD IS. I AM PLEASED. A+

And just lol... ‘I don’t even have a car yet.’ ‘You have a rocket.’ ‘...oh yeah. That’s true.’ LOLOL SUCH ALAN. He is too cute.

...AND yeah. IDK. I feel like I’m forgetting things. I’ll ramble them into another post if I think of things. I gotta pop out for a bit. 😂

BUT YEAH. Yeah, there’s few things they didn’t get to addressing, but there were hugs and emotions which was what was really the important thing, right? :Da I don’t really feel like nit picking when had all that. XDDD

(It is kinda interesting how in a way the ending reminded me of Legacy’s a bit with a ...Oh we got an emergency. It’s a good note to leave off of... but goes to show when maybe S1 was written, it was largely on the assumption that it could be the only season... but then were able to hint of S2 in an additional scene. But if S2 hadn’t been commissioned, it was sorta ready to be a finale if it had to. In a way S2 was the same, though with bit more hints of S3 were there so... Just kinda interesting. =Oa But also nice that Rob has left it in a way that NEVER SAY NEVER (to quote Rob) is definitely open. ^^)

ANYHOO. That’s all my rambling for now. ^^
