Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call!! I actually discovered ordering the game from the UK with shipping was actually cheaper than ordering the American version of the game, there were no major differences that I could tell as they still had the original English voice actors.

I enjoyed this game!! Not my top favorite installment but I still had a great time and loved the new characters. The puzzles were well designed and had nice scaled difficulty and the mini games were really neat too. The Eternal Diva references were so blatant lmfao but I’m excited for Miracle Mask! I was also super exhausted when writing the summary so sorry there’s so many errors and I use the word fun a million times ToT

Summary

This was such a fun origin story for Luke and Layton. Very much a classic Layton game with world ending machinery and gorgeous environment design. I really liked both Emmy and Descole, there’s a more serious undertone than with Don Paolo as the main villain (even though I do love Don Paolo). Emmy is amazing!! I was afraid she would be sidelined like Flora was but I’m glad to she stands her ground and does what she wants to do. I alos like how we got to go on our own adventure as her to London, she’s a character that doesn’t need to rely on Hershel to solve everything. Meeting Luke was great, loved his blank stare. It was fun seeing his origins and how Clark and Hershel knew each other. I’m curious how the prequels will play into the New World of Steam, especially now that Luke’s family have stories and sprites (unlike in the original trilogy). Loved the ACAB story, v nice to play while I’m still so mad at what’s happening to university students currently. Descole was so fun, I am obsessed with his outfit and personality. Unfortunately I was spoiled on who he is but I’m very excited to learn more. I think similar to Ace Attorney, the fourth installment is that last game in the classic 2D style, which is sad but PLvsPW makes me very hopeful about 3D Layton. The overall story was fun, I really liked the sub plot about the Ravens - that was really fun (i was so tired writing this omfg). I wish we got a little more backstory on the rich guy who died, I feel like there’s more to the story. OO I loved the little episodes, especially the one about Chelmey. They added a lot of fun context and gave more life to the NPCs. Such a fun and classic Layton game, I can’t wait to play Miracle Mask! (And read the light novels). This wasn’t my favorite Layton game but I still really loved it and had a great time and loved the puzzles — that’s all I want from PL!

-A Night’s Tale (jegulus) is probably my favorite so far just because of the quality and also length. absolutely stunning

-THE WOLFSTAR ONE AHHHHH. it perfectly captures their volatile dynamic. remus and sirius DO argue and they DO fight, but they also mean the world to each other and wouldn’t trade a thing to have the other back safe. i love the way it displays their after school domesticity

-THE EVANS SISTERS RAAAAHHH. god, i love how it opens with james not able to use a phone. he’s so precious 😭😭 but also like, lily and petunia’s entire dynamic. you can see how hesitant both of them are to get close to the other. you can tell how badly they both want the other to care, but is too scared of getting close and getting hurt. ughhh that one was fantastic

-OMG OMG OMG i’ve watched the jily “The Lasg Christmas” one like eighteen times. it’s ridiculous how much i love it. omg everything from james and lily’s dynamic with each other, to seeing their little house, to knowing that harry is asleep in the room over. AHHHH. the way that LILY is the one who first splashes flour in james’ face to cause trouble. they belong with each other omg. AND WHEN PETER SHOWED UP HOLY SHIT I WAS NOT OKAY. god, they’re all besties. it shows that lily cared deeply for peter too. they were close. and the way they all sang along to queen, TOP TIER SHIT RIGHT THERE! you can see james-physical affection is how i show my love-potter was interacting with peter. AND THEN the gift exchange. i was not okay with the snow globe’s light going out. i think i cried all the way up until my eleventh or so watch of it. the snow globe going out absolutely destroys me. until the jegulus one came out, this one was my favorite. and quite honestly, i recommend watching this one more than watching the jegulus one, simply because i view this as heartbreaking canon, and the jegulus one is fanfic fluff.

-DORLENE MY BELOVED DORLENE MY BELOVED OMG. okay like so i’m at a loss for words over how fucking gorgeous this film is. dorcas and marlene are quite literally some of the prettiest people i’ve ever seen in my life. also, the scenery and the beautiful outside date they’re having <3 they had strawberries! and chess! and marlene was taking photos of dorcas! and they giggled and held each other!! AND THEY KISSED!! and they were in love! (and we’re gonna ignore marlene’s stresses about the war. cause yikes, i like to pretend that they all make it out okay)

Mild Pro Wrestling Rant

I apologize in advance for ranting on here in regards to a pro-wrestling topic. But, seeing as this place is honestly the only place I have encountered so far in regards to being actually open to discuss topics without the smarks jumping down your throat.

For those that know me, know I was involved in the pro wrestling scene for about 5 1/2 years. Not long, but I am grateful to say I learned a lot from really great vets in the industry in my journey. I have done valet , managing, ring announcing, and even went through some wrestling training by one of the guys in the indies I looked up to for his lucha style. I have been around locker rooms, and hanging around after shows , as well as seminars...all in which provided lots of learning, passed down by those who made their mark in the scene.

That being said, WWE's current decision on signing a Track and Field athlete didn't sit well. Yes...wrestling is very much so about athleticism. To be frankly honest, no type of regular workouts can really prepare you for what is felt in ring. The most I could say comes close to prepping you is having background in some sort of martial arts. That can help, as well. You do your regular workouts to supplement your strength and endurance in ring, but nothing really prepares you for in ring work except for actually in ring training.

What caught me heat from my post - and ATTACKED by marks (not the good kind) - was the fact I simply stated how there are PLENTY of amazing talent in the indies that hustle their asses off...they put themselves out there and a lot actually have made quite the names for themselves and have worked internationally...they are more deserving of a contract but get surpassed. Yes, wrestling does have a lot of needing to have the 'look' for the sake of branding and drawing in the marks. It's business. But for frigging marks who have not been part of the business and act like they know more about it than those who have actually worked in it......FYI to those folks....it does NOT make you look cool or smart, and the talent actually really can't stand your ass lol.

I know I've been utilizing the term 'mark' a lot in this....mark used to be not a negative term, and actually is one of the many carny terms that are used. Wikipedia states it pretty good, "Mark a slang term that describes a fan who believes that the characters and events of some or all of professional wrestling are real. The term can also be applied to a fan who idolizes a particular wrestler, promotion, or style of wrestling to a point some might consider excessive." Hell, workers will even say to one another "Omg, I marked out over _______!" But nowadays, if a worker calls you a mark....from what I've seen in the locker room...it's not a good thing.

I won't lie...I miss the scene in a way. Character - Soldier: No specific Soldier for this cuz I love both of them. I wish he was real because I would die to meet him lol. My entire personality in a nutshell 💀 He is my life, he spins in my head on the daily and he makes me love being American lmao (RIP Rick May, you made such a lovable character, fly high man)

Color - Mustard Yellow: I have a beanie the same color as this and legit it made me love the color. That and I love mustard in general

Place - Quiet library: AND I MEAN QUIET, I love being social with people but sometimes I just wanna be left alone. Dawg, the library at my school is the shit, it’s so quiet in there and I can sit on a sofa and just chill. Great to relax 👍

Season - Winter: Unfortunately for me I live somewhere that does not snow at all. Which kinda sucks- BUT it sprinkle some snow every one and a while. It’s also just not about the snow but the weather, I like the breezy feel, the chilliness of it all. I can wear hoodies and beanies and my kickass baggy pants lol. And the blankets. My grandma got me this one comforter that’s immaculate, very comfortable, very soft. Love my grandma 🤙❤️

Food - Root beer Floats: I know technically it’s a drink but you could still eat it with a spoon, so I’d say it counts 👍 Anyways this shit is the bomb, love Rootbeer in general by FLOATS?? Amazing, I could eat them everyday if I could because they’re so good. Very refreshing. So, 'No Rest For The Innocent' as you know it hasn't actually changed very much I think! We're in the process of rewriting 'Colored Comas' the prequel story, though! Our skills have definitely improved and the writing style has developed into something consistent!! And with that does come refining the lore and world-building of course, so there's plenty of bits and segments that are reminiscent of 'Maze Runner' with the way our main character interacts with the world and his own mind and memories..

If you ever wanna read NRFTI we can absolutely give you exclusive access to unreleased projects, the prequel is nearly completed actually! And of course if you wanna know things about it in depth and get "spoilers" then please feel absolutely free to DM about it :D

I think the biggest changes are renaming the characters and giving them designs and voices now, which you can find right here in this video!! And I'll be posting more designs over on @sns-sims eventually 🩵

And just how many characters we have now, like, I don't think we even had Corey back then? Corey is the main character in the side story, "Observant Oaths". Sam also had a whole cast of characters for his own side stories as well, mainly Syrus - who appears in the main story.

We're looking to commission art for the prequel as well, but we don't know who to contact lol

Overall livery winner for me: VCARB, 100%. Ferrari is a very close second with that new dark red color bc wowww, but VCARB looks so good. And they made a pretty dramatic change from last year’s livery and really pulled it off.

Also Jack Whitehall, you have almost redeemed yourself to me, that was great.

jay is the man recording in entry 5, and alex is doing a tour of the ground for marble hornets

it may be that slenderman followed him home after the encounter at the park or the road with his dog.

brian, alex, and a girl off camera entry 7, further notes here. alex is off camera and brian is now talking. they are in a car. also, brian is hoody.

the man confirms that someone is most definitely following alex
