#ramble#kaito maruki#au ideas#oc tag#i just started binging it yesterday and haven't finished so. pls don't judge lol. but i just think#i just think. kai being genderqueer and having to navigate his feelings around.#knowing he's a boy but feeling more comfortable in his ''female'' body#and tak/uto not understanding bc he's always known this body was right for him but still supporting his son bc he knows the choice is bs#and of course. me being me. of course i'm gonna give tak/uto a connection to mx. alders' research somehow#the choice might've been easy for tak/uto but he still wants to help make things easier for others who don't have the same experience#but then he had kai! and he knew how dangerous that kind of research was so he stepped away to protect his child...#and now!! now kai is having gender troubles and tak/uto is wondering if it was cowardly of him to drop the research...#but the truth is. getting rid of the choice wouldn't help kai. because kai is not ''undecided''#he knows exactly what he wants. but what he wants is simply something he can't have in this reality#(<< if you've seen future kai. you know he's on t. what he wants is more complicated than what the choice allows for)
