CHILDE/AJAX

• The fatui are known to be rather rich, no one knows where they got their mora from after the death of morax of course no regular person would ask.

• Perhaps Childe might keep the fact that he is a harbinger from you, as he didn't want to frighten you off l. Harbingers are known to be fearsome, cruel and heartless yet you somehow fill that void inside his heart.. He doesn't know how to describe it but it felt like a tree just bloomed into his heart.

• When you went on one of your shopping sprees, you may have forgotten your wallet back at home but he came up and paid for all your stuff! You were really surprised because that stuff cost like 100k+ mora but you were really grateful to him!

• Turns out, he wanted to get a present for his siblings but didn't know what to get for his sister, Tonia and he thought you might be an expert since you walked around the liyue district like the back of your hand.

• Sure, even after Childe left Liyue, he always tries writing to you and keep thanking you for helping him pick out a gift.

• After he confesses, he loves you no matter what <3 he'll glare at the person who was judging you while you're looking away not really wanting you to see the harbinger side of him since he doesn't want to scare you off :(

TIGHNARI

• Perhaps Tighnari met you when you were in sumeru city while he was still studying in the akademiya, of course you stood out to him. Not many people in sumeru focus on their appearance as their main focus is always their studies.

• So he went up to interact with you, thinking you might be a foreigner from liyue or fontaine and was surprised to know that you aren't.

• After a few encounters and small talks, he soon realised that his heart kept pounding whenever he sees you perhaps after a few sassy comments he ACTUALLY confesses.

• Tighnari would get ready with you! Perhaps he'll even share tips on how to untame your hair easily since he does groom his tail and ears frequently, maybe he might allow you to put some of your accessories on him! <3

• Of course, if you are overspending your mora he will stop you and teach you spending habits you shld pick up :)

• he doesn't want his girlfriend perhaps future wife to go broke after all, he does love you dearly so please don't take his comments to heart he just really want you to look after yourself :]

ALHAITHAM

• Same as Tighnari's, i think that ppl in sumeru don't really care much about their appearance.

• alhaitham is someone who likes to lay low and not draw attention to himself when in crowds.

• so kaveh was surprised when he heard that alhaitham was dating you.. Or at least dating someone before him like his jaw literally dropped to the ground and Kaveh kept asking if you were brainwashed.

• Kaveh definitely loves you platonically, you and him are best friends who share tips about improving each others appearance of course all alhaitham can do is just sigh at you and his roommates behaviour before going back to his book.

• wanting to keep you safe, alhaitham only shares your relationships with the traveller and kaveh. He has made countless enemies throughout his years in the akademiya, it was only natural if someone were to target you just to get back at him and since you stood out more he doesn't want you to be in danger.

• if you think alhaitham doesn't approve of you liking to standing out, please don't think that way! Alhaitham seems like someone to love his s/o no matter how they act since if he fell love he knows that they are the one after all no one made him feel this way other than you! :)

"Are you alright?" the question makes your attention go back to the crowded restaurant. There's too much noise on both your sides, a table full of kids yelling at the back and the strong noise of plates colliding with others. Your hand releases the fork too strong for your own liking, leaving it on the half-eaten omelette as you take your hands to your head. Too much noise, too many stimulations at the same time. You feel like your brain can't take all of them.

"If you give me a second, please... I'll be right back." you manage to whisper, and before he's able to say anything, you leave the restaurant at fast pace, leaving the coat, the gloves and the hat inside, along with your bag. Opening the main door, you feel the cold breeze against your hot cheeks, the sudden temperature change freezing your bones and making your head dizzy for a second. With mist leaving your mouth and walking without course, you let your feet take you away from the noise and the heat.

And then, you remember that you left him there. Alone. Without even an explanation.

You feel bad just to think about it. It's not like you've been dating for a lot of time: this might be your fifth date after officially becoming a couple, and you already stood him up on a restaurant just because your brain wasn't able to take all the information at one time.

You don't know why, but you start crying. Maybe the overwhelming feeling, maybe the blame.

"You're gonna catch a cold." those are the first words you hear, before a long and hot coat is put above your body, along with a hat and a scarf you weren't wearing before. Taking your teary eyes up, your gaze collides with Kaveh's hazelnut eyes, and a soft smile appears on his lips as his arms wrap you and your head is guided towards his chest. One of his palms rests warm against your ear, blocking the sound of the street and the peasants, as the other one is placed against his chest, letting you hear the quick heartbeats, that, slowly, start to relax.

Your fingers get tangled on his shirt as his nose gets buried on your hair sweetly. His heart beats slower as his hands keep your head in place.

"I got worried when you left, so went paying as fast as I could, took your things and searched you." he whispers. You notice then your bag hanging from his shoulder, with the green feather that he gifted you when you started dating.

"I'm sorry... I messed up our date. And it's been a while since we were able to eat together." You feel your eyes teary as you start to speak. Kaveh hisses softly, caressing the spot above your ear with his thumb.

"You didn't mess anything, love. If you want to talk about what happened, I'll be here to listen. If you don't feel ready for it, I'll be here to hold you." His words warm your chest even at the cold temperature of the street. "Whatever reason that made you leave, it's valid and important for me to avoid similar situations on the future. I'll learn about it and avoid making the same mistake."

You are at a loss of words, but your sobs give you away, making him giggle. "Let's go to my apartment, or your cute eyes will freeze, alright?" His arm is still around your shoulders when you nod, parting from him, but leaving a kiss on his shirt, right above his chest, as your personal way of saying thank you when even words are too overwhelming to say. He smiles, knowing what it means, and starts walking with his arm around you, step by step, talking about no-senses and keeping you occupied.

"So, should we make some hot chocolate at home? Hm? Is it a good plan? Also, yesterday I rented some of those romantic films you enjoy... I was planning to invite you over and ask you to sleep at home. Also bought your favorite popcorn, so you have no chance to escape from all the films I got..."

thinking about verses again; today feat modern verse! which, note on this; maintains the general regions/loose history of teyvat. i haven’t decided yet re: visions but that’s for future cedar to sort out. and also with this, tighnari is still valuka shuna, and xiao isn’t quite human, but the adeptal powers will be minimized down a bit. think modern fantasy by default. also mostly centered around a university set up… mostly because of who i am as a person.

kaeya; i like to think about grad student kaeya. he’s fueled by coffee, spite, and a furious desire to prove himself. his main area of study would be refugee/immigration law, with a minor focus on khaenri’ahn history. he works part time in the library with lisa, and part time at a community law clinic. and of course has his fair share of extra curricular activities for resume purposes. not tied to any specific portrayals and able to shift with who i’m writing with; connections he’d have as a default: best friends with rosaria and lisa, fairly close with jean, some kind of complicated past with diluc (though likely not as… dramatic lol), familiar with albedo and noelle. lives by himself in an apartment near campus that he spends as little time in as possible. likely in his mid-late twenties.

tighnari; still has his ears and tails because i said so. recent phd graduate, assistant professor. lives a little way from campus - will take a longer commute to live somewhere suitably quiet - and closer to the forest. only comes to campus maybe two days a week, maintains a garden and spends days not on campus in the forest conducting research and furthering conservation efforts. thinking that there still may be an iteration of the withering for him to be focused on - which would potentially also lead to him having a vision. much to think about. as for relationships; still closest with cyno, meets up with him/kaveh/alhaitham at least once a week, and collei is a student he tutored earlier in his university career and sort of took under his wing forever. i could see her living with him potentially as well. his main area of study is botany and ecology, but he has a decent base in medicine also. in his late twenties.

kaveh; established architect! still completely terrible with money so he still lives with alhaitham and works odd jobs. He does work for the university theater department on prop building and design, and does commissions for the university in addition to teaching some classes. also fueled by coffee, spite, and a furious desire to prove himself. his is closest to his canon set up. living with alhaitham, likely friends with nilou via the theater, and friendly with cyno and tighnari. early thirties.

xiao; still has stupidly long life span. maybe something akin to a demon or ghost hunter to fit with modern fantasy. would still maintain loyalty to zhongli. a bit chronically online in a search for intel on demons/spirits to exorcise. his is the most up in the air still while i try to decide balance between canon and modernization. i still see him having ties to venti and the other adepti as well as aether/lumine.

childe; grad student studying poli sci and business. know. one of Those Guys. way too much money, exchange student. works a frankly horrifying number of jobs, but just does not actually show up 90% of the time. unfortunately he’s terrifyingly capable and efficient so he can generally get everything he needs to done and fix a week’s worth of problems in one shift, so nowhere can quite bring themselves to fire him. he also has the tendency to just charm his way through things. big fancy apartment. possible frat bro but like in the same way he treats his jobs. single handedly funding every snezhnayan restaurant in town. still really good with kids, and his younger siblings sometimes come to visit and stay with him. connections would be scary who… probably hates him. zhongli, no one quite knows what’s going on there but it definitely isn’t heterosexual, the other harbingers in some capacity. living with yoimiya and/or generally besties with her.
