1. What do they smell like?

Honey & silk naturally but sometimes flowers due to her shampoos/soaps/perfumes

Shina’s biggest motivator has to be her books, she really loves and enjoys them and some have such moving storys that they motivator her to carry on with life in genral.

4. What is their most embarrassing memory?

Probably when she was asked to join a threesome and she pratically ran away from being to flustered

5. How do they deal with/react to pain?

Shina does not deal with physical very well at all and has a very low pain tolerance so usually ends up crying . however when it comes to emotinal pain she usually hides it behind a smile so is very good at hiding it and tends to do so

dresses, any and all kinds as long as they are a dress she will wear them

In all honeslty probably her relationship with Ai, her past relations haven’t been good and its usually people use her and abuse her a lot to get what they want out of her but Ai spends time with her and is just as affectionate as she is maybe just a little more then she is but thats something she needed some who wants the whole package that is shina ;;

dragon fruit but even thats quite tame, she did like it

on her stomach sprawled out on the bed, as a baby that how she would lay on a night and has done ever since, its very comforting to her and the fastest way she falls asleep.

any kind of fruit, she really likes grapes or anything sweet really as long as its a fruit, she isn’t really that keen on junk food

For shina its her ears, she dislikes them and often calls them usless. with her being deaf and her ears stuck up for everyone to see it makes her hate them and ontop of that they are rather sensative to touch which makes her hate them even more.

Japanese fashion , she loves the bright beautiful colours and embraces them

she usually stays quiet when feeling guilty and tends to go out her way to fix whatever she feels guilty about

she acts as though its fine and alright but when by herself she will cry a lot and hide in her room and refuse to leave

right now i don’t think shina has a greatest achievement since she hasn’t really done much.

she will be fine though will yawn a lot and if someone sits her down and lays her down she will instantly fall to sleep

when drunk she is flirty and very touchy feely but she has never been drunk to a point that side of her comes out.

shina is deaf and cannot hear music but she sometimes can feel the vibrations of music and put together a beat

Shina has a jewllery box on her dresser which holds a bunch of notes written by her mother to shina when she was pregnant with shina as well as her mothers wedding ring and various other small things that belonged to her. since her mother died during child birth these are all she has of her mother.

she broke her leg once as a child when she fell out a tree, her nannies and maid kept tellign her a lady can’t play outside and do un-lady like stuff so she climbed a tree and then fell out of it.

yes she has a scar on her right-hand side from when she fought with callum as a child and callum dug his nails into her side leaving a mark. its barley noticable now as well as a few others in other places.

shina does struggle with a very mild form of depression which is why she often puts herself down.

being clingy?

she’s a pushover and doesn’t tend to stand up for herself so it makes her weak in peoples eyes

She usually has a ball in her home town though she doesn’t stay long, she is usually there for an hour and then people forget its to celebrate her birthday and she’s left alone so she prefers to spend her birthdays alone rahter then being forgotten.

yes she has her father as well as a few cousins, aunts, uncles ect she also considers callum’s mother and father her own

No she was never close with her father but she is close with callum’s parents since they raised her.

Shina has doesn’t know anything really about sex apart from that it hurts the first time which actually makes her scared of it because of her low pain tolerance. she would probably be all for foreplay but very nervous when it came to the actual thing.

these will be going under the cut! please realize i do not own Peppermint and may not be correct on him in some of these. Peppermint belongs to @mangofritter

1. Who is the early bird/ Who is the night owl?

Dice is very much a night owl. if he even sleeps. he doesnt normally like being out in day times because he doesnt like being around too many people, and he doesnt wan to be noticed by strangers or whatever. he avoids all that. but he does what he can. most of the jobs he has to do are done in day light. Peppermint on the other hand could be an early bird, i could see that, but im not really sure. i dont really see them waking up too early.

2. Who is the big spoon/ Who is the little spoon?

Dice is definitely the Big spoon, and Peppermint is the little spoon. its pretty obvious because of their heights.. haha

3. Who hogs the cover/ Who loves to cuddle?

i dont think either of them would hog the covers. heck, Dice would feel lucky to even be sleeping in a bed with a blanket and pillows. he wouldnt mind if Peppermint took all the covers considering how used Dice is to the cold. though, i dont think Peppermint would do that.as for cuddling, Dice actually would cuddle Peppermint haha. he always has that feeling of losing another in his mind that he would want to hold him close. but only if Peppermint will let him. Dice very much respects what Peppermint does and doesnt like in their relationship. although, i see Peppermint as a cuddler.

4. Who wakes the other one up with kisses clinks?

hahaHAHA.. okay, Dice is very shy as of right now about having the first clink with Peppermint. Once he gets enough courage to finally clink Peppermint, or Peppermint might even clink him first, then its possible that he would do that if they happen to be sleeping in the same place. course, he might still be a bit shy to do so, he will feel he might be disturbing Peppermint. Peppermint on the other hand, i could see him possibly doing that. im not exactly sure of Peppermint is really shy tbh but he seems like one who would be confident enough. but i could be totally wrong haha.

5. Who usually has nightmares?

Dice definitely. and he freaks out afterwards. as much as he usually does get nightmares, when hes sleeping anywhere around Peppermint, its not often that he has them. when sleeping anywhere else, its bound to happen and hes bound to freak out and panic.Peppermint, hmm, im not sure. im sure he does have a nightmare occasionally, but im not sure if he has nightmares very often like Dice. even if he did though, Dice would be there for him.6. Who would have really deep emotional thoughts at the middle of the night/ Who would have them in the middle of the day?

Dice is more often than not, having deep emotional thoughts most of the day and night. around Peppermint its not so bad. if you havent noticed, Peppermint makes alot of things better for Dice because Dice is more focused on Peppermint while around him than on anything else. so these emotional thought probably wouldnt be there unless they were on a topic related to them.Peppermint i wouldnt doubt does have emotional thoughts, and i could see them being thought of in the middle of the night or when hes alone, but again, i dont really know. im still learning about Peppermint.

7. Who sweats the small stuff?

Both of them possibly? idk, Dice thinks everything matters. even the smallest of things. Peppermint i could see being the same way.

8. Who sleeps in their underwear (or naked)/ Who sleeps in their pajamas?

Dice sleeps in his clothes, without the belt and side accessories on his pants of course, because otherwise that would be uncomfortable. he also takes his choker off, but thats about it, its not often he would take off his shirt and sleep in just his undershirt and pants. but he only takes those off if hes sleeping in a bed. Peppermint im sure probably has some form of Pajamas or clothes that he sleeps in. if not, im sure Dice is okay with that.

9. Who makes the coffee (or tea)?

Dice might knows how to make both of those, but he doesnt do it often. most times he would have to be asked to, if hes in a place where he can make some that is. Peppermint doesnt really like coffee, so it would be he would make tea if anything. i believe he likes hot chocolate though, i think he would rather have that.

10. Who likes sweet/ Who likes sour?

Dice likes sweet due to his love for Peppermint candy, but im sure he wouldnt mind something sour every once in a while. Peppermint probably likes the same.

11. Who likes horror movies/ Who likes romance movies?

Dice could go either way really, depending on the romance movie. some things might make him blush and etc. and he would have to have peppermint candy in his mouth to be watching horror movies. Peppermint... im honestly not sure on this one, i feel like he could go either way also, but idk.

Peppermint is the Smol, Dice is the Tol :)

Peppermint more than likely? hmm. although i could see Dice being called a scaredy cat due to his freak outs to jumpscares when he doesnt have peppermint candy. but that would irritate him, he doesnt like being called something like that when he knows himself he cant help his freak outs or whatever.

i really dont think Peppermint would be afraid to kill a spider. But Dice would be okay with killing them if needed. that or he will keep it as a secret pet pfft.

neither i dont think. Dice sleeps outside alot, so hes definitely not scared of it, he actually likes it. Peppermint i doubt is scared of the dark tbh.

Neither of them? Dice again sleeps outside so, it wouldnt phase him.Peppermint, again, i doubt.

Dice does small jobs as of right now. Peppermint probably has some form of job im sure, so he probably works as well. in future though, like living together wise, Dice would be the one working and Peppermint would probably be the one staying home. but Peppermint can do whatever he wants tbh Dice aint gonna stop him.

hahaha, Cats Scare Dice. he doesnt like them one bit, he would forbid having them in the house. so he would be a dog person. Peppermint i honestly could see as a dog person as well, but idk.

....i mean, possibly Peppermint? i dont think Dice really would. he would probably ask Peppermint about it first.

if you think for one second i haven't thought about this your wrong. pffft.Dice would definitely be dominate. when it comes to something like this, hes dominate at all times. unless Peppermint finds a way to switch it around.

Dice loves peppermint candy, almost as if he has an addiction tbh. Peppermint im not sure about at all on this one.

Dice did last Valentine’s Day, as much as he could atleast, and hes always going to for now on for Peppermint. and hes not going to care if its around anyone, he wants to make Peppermint happy, especially on Valentine’s Day. its Peppermint’s job to be waiting for what Dice has planned for him ;)

Dice would eat more Junk food than most. he already eats alot of peppermint candy. Dice would take long showers. he likes the hot water on his bones and running down his body. most times he bathing in cold water so haha yeah. also, he might hum in the shower, but thats about it.Peppermint i dont think takes too long of showers, maybe semi long, but i definitely see him singing in the shower.

i see Peppermint as a book worm. ...idkDice, if hes interested in a book enough, he will read it, when he has time, possibly shoo away his friends so he can keep reading. he wouldnt do that to Peppermint though, he would stop for Peppermint.

ooooooh, good question. idk.Surprisingly, Dice is a really good cook. he learned straight from his mother before she left the family. Dice ended up teaching Atticus to cook afterwards. nowadays Dice doesnt cook often, considering he really has no where to cook. but when he gets the opportunity, he tries his best on it. if hes cooking for someone else, he aims to satisfy and impress.i dont doubt that Peppermint can cook, and that hes a really good cook. i just dont know who is better XD

30. Who likes long walks on the beach?

Dice loves walks in any kind of place. it takes away stress. he used to take walks with his brother in his AU. So he would definitely love to take walks with Peppermint anywhere.id like to believe Peppermint likes a walk occasionally. :)

i feel like Dice would be more affectionate towards Peppermint. he would do anything for Peppermint. he really wants to love Peppermint to the best of his abilities as long as Peppermint is okay with it.Peppermint probably is affectionate towards Dice, just not as much as Dice is towards him.

32. Who likes to have really long (deep) conversation?

oh goodness. neither of them? i dont think Peppermint really wants that unless its important. And Dice really just doesnt like those kinds of conversations unless it means letting Peppermint talk about something important and or helping him with something by talking about it with him.

boi oh my gosh--they are both sinners, they both need a sin Shirt.

Dice would be wearing the “if lost return to Peppermint” shirt, he disappears alot and wonders off tbhPeppermint would be wearing the “i am Peppermint shirt”

Dice. no questions asked. Holidays were a big thing in his family and celebrated widely and happily with everyone in his AU. not to mention lots of games and all. haha. the only thing he would be sad about is not getting to spend anymore holidays with his brother. but hes happy to spend it with his friends and Peppermint. hes generally happy during these times, which might be weird to all of his friends and possibly Peppermint.As for Peppermint, im not really sure. he probably does normal stuff, but Dice goes all out.

Dice cant be, his phone doesnt have service or internet, so he cant look anything up or whatever. he cant make calls or send texts on his phone. all he has on the phone he has is games he had before his AU was destroyed. which he loves. he certainly doesnt have a computer either. he has no access to social media.Peppermint, i have no idea. i dont think he is though haha

Dice is 5′3 and he doesnt give out a specific number for his age. but he is an adult.Peppermint is 4′10 and idk his age right now, that would be a question for Mango.

Dice does and i dont see why Peppermint wouldnt, so both? Dice likes the actual stars on the surface, and the “stars” in the underground. he looks at them alot in different AUs. he would love to take Peppermint Star Gazing some time.

neither. atleast i dont think Peppermint would. Dice isnt interested in something like that.

i see them as them both being.. well, both! they like having lots of fun and stuff, but they know when they need to be responsible. Although i feel like Peppermint would be more responsible than Dice. Dice would be the one probably taking them blame for things lol. But Dice knows when he does need to be a parent and take responsibility for things and etc.

Peppermint more than likely. Dice doesnt really emote much while watching movies. it has to real sad to make him cry.

both possibly? i know Dice likes things really clean, he cant stand things being dirty. him and his brother would clean the house constantly. can you see now how Dice’s clothes are always nice and white? lolPeppermint i would like to believe likes to have things clean, but isnt paranoid or whatever about it.

43. Who wins the stuffed animals at the carnival for the other one?

Dice, and he would happily do it for Peppermint :)

44. Who is active/ Who is lazy?

Dice is always out. he never stays in one place. he might hang out with friends and all, but most of the time hes out walking around, or working. so hes pretty active. plus a really skilled fighter so hes gotten exercise from that way back.Peppermint is more than likely active, working and etc. i dont exactly know what he does, but im sure hes pretty active. again i could be wrong though

45. Who is more likely to get drunk?

Peppermint maybe? its more likely compared to Dice if Peppermint even drinks alcohol..again im not sure. but Dice cant even really afford alcohol all that often, and plus, it takes a lot of it to even get him drunk.

Dice eats? ummmmmm ... i have no idea for this one. Dice doesnt eat alot, most times hes starving for like 2 days before getting some actual food to save money. hes weird and just... idkit might be Peppermint.

Dice. he knows alot about coffee and plus Peppermint doesnt really like coffee. so its definitely Dice.

Peppermint? possibly. Dice doesnt have much of anything to lose really and keeps things hidden in his hidden pockets in his jacket lol.

Dice is the Driver, Peppermint is the Passenger.

How Journaling Practices Have Helped My Financial Situation

Ive mentioned often on The Simple Dollar how journaling is a daily practice for me and has been off and on (but mostly on) since middle school in various forms. At times, its taken the form of simply cataloguing my day; at other times, Ive written in response to various prompts; today, its completely different (and Ill write about that in a bit). In any case, writing in my journal simply put, getting thoughts out of my head down on paper is something that is a daily part of my life. Why have I kept up with it for so long? How has it helped me in any way thats made it worth the time investment? And what does that practice look like? Thats what I want to share today. Lets start with the why. The Benefits of Journaling, Financial and Otherwise I keep up with a daily journaling practice for a lot of reasons. First of all, it feels like a mental relief to do it because it quiets the monologue in my head. Along with meditation, its one of the two most effective routine things Ive found in my life for getting the constantly chattering voice in my head to quiet down a little. That voice is constantly going over things I need to do, things Im thinking about or worried about, my upcoming plans, some problem Im interested in, and all kinds of other stray thoughts. That constant stream of thought is distracting. I find that dumping some of that stream of thought down on paper quiets that distracting voice pretty well, at least for a while. Ive found that one big burst of writing in my journal at the start of the day coupled with having a pocket notebook on me at all times to jot down other stray thoughts throughout the day keeps that voice a lot quieter and a lot less distracting. Second, I use it to work through challenging problems in my life that Im not quite sure how to solve. When I observe something I dont like in my life, my mind often worries on that problem without ever really coming to a good conclusion on it. Ill think about that problem over and over, but at best my idle thoughts will come up with really half-baked solutions. When I sit down and journal and dump that problem out on paper, I find that I almost always work toward an actual good solution to the problem (or problems) in my head. By writing out the problem as I see it, I usually get some better insight into whats really going on, and then as I write down that insight, more pop up, and eventually I lead myself to the real source of the problem and perhaps a start down the path to a good solution. This applies very well to personal finance. For example, it was writing in my journal that really helped me piece together that something was wrong with my financial life and gradually led me to the decision to make some major changes. It has helped me figure out what things in my life were frivolous expenses and which ones were not. It has helped me to identify situations where I was spending money nonsensically as an emotional response to some other situation in my life. Third, its helped me to understand complex ideas by taking a bunch of swirling bits and pieces Ive learned recently and didnt fully understand and combine them into something meaningful and comprehensible and useful. Many of my journal entries have originated from my thinking about something I read recently or experienced recently that I didnt quite understand, and by simply spelling it all out piece by piece, the idea came together for me. I used to do this a lot when I was in college, but I still do it quite frequently when Im reading something or when Ive had a difficult interaction with someone. For example, it was this practice that really helped me to understand investing and how index funds work and helped me decide that I should put as much of our investment money as possible into index funds. The ideas made sense on their own, but it was assembling the ideas and relating them to our own situation, which I did over a bunch of journaling sessions, that locked our retirement planning into place. I did the same thing when we were shopping for a home. Many of my entries during the months in which we were house shopping were oriented around figuring out how the house buying process worked, how mortgages worked, and so on. This actually leads well into my next point. Journaling has helped me come to a firm conclusion when there were a lot of options on the table. Often, decision making comes down to being able to filter through a lot of options, figure out which elements matter the most, and choose from those options based on that. Journaling has helped me with every piece of that process for many different major decisions in my life. As I noted earlier, journaling was essential in our home buying process. I wrote down extensive thoughts on each home we visited, the relative merits and drawbacks of each, and what each would look like financially. My journaling process helped Sarah and I choose a home that we could afford that met our needs, a home we still live in. Its helped me decide between investment options. Its helped me make career choices when I had several options on the table at a few points in my life. Simply writing through each of the options, figuring out what was good and bad about each one, and then coming to a clear decision not only helped me make a great decision at each of those crossroads, it also helped clear my head of constant worrying and constant thoughts on the subject. So, how exactly do I do this? What does my journaling practice look like? My Own Journaling Practice Ive used a number of practices over the years, but the one Ive used for the last few years, with a few tweaks, has been a small variation on the three morning pages journaling practice first popularized by Julia Cameron. In Camerons original practice, she simply suggested that a person sit down with a blank journal and start writing, filling up three pages in a journal with their writing before stopping for the day. Write about whatevers on your mind if its on your mind, just write it down, no matter how inane or pointless it seems. It gets that thought out of your head and makes space for whatevers next. Some days, everything is inane, and thats fine. Other days, youre working through some very difficult things, and thats fine, too. The goal is to empty that junk out of your head so you can get clean start to your day. I tried doing this exact thing for a while, but I ran into a number of small problems with it. The biggest one was that my handwriting is small and the pages in my journal are big. I tend to journal by writing in block capital letters it just feels the most comfortable to me and the writing is pretty small. Most of my journals are either full size pages or close to it. Thus, it can take a long time to simply fill up a page with words, even if Im writing as fast as I can. So, I modified the practice to what I call 45 morning minutes. I just set a timer for 45 minutes, sit down with my journal, open to the next blank page (or partial page), and start writing. When the timer goes off, I keep going until theres a clear break in thought and then I write a big double line across the page indicating the end of the day, and Im done. Journaling with a strict time limit keeps it within a reasonable time frame for me and makes it easy to schedule. Obviously, I do this in the morning, usually before anyone else is awake. I find that doing this early in the day is really effective at quieting down that internal monologue that distracts me with chatter and ideas throughout the day. Id rather have it quiet in the mornings and afternoons so that I can get focused work done. So, thats another big part of the equation for me: journaling in the morning quiets my internal monologue so that I can focus better during the work day. After I finish, I usually read back through my entry over the course of a few minutes, mostly to extract things that I need to get done in the near future. Are there any actionable items that I thought about or generated during that journaling? If so, I move them to my to-do list manager or to my calendar so I can find them later on in the day when Im actually doing stuff. Again, another key point: journaling often generates specific actions I need to work on or things I need to take care of, so I transfer those out to a to-do list. After that, I just close my journal and go about my day. There are a few obvious questions that come about from that description, so let me address them right now. I read old entries, but nothing older than a few months. After four or five months, the old entries start to read like they were written by another person living another life. Its familiar in the way that a distant memory is familiar, but it doesnt feel like me any more. When journal entries reach that point, then there isnt really any value to them any more, at least not for me. The method of journaling I use is not really a record of what I did each day, so once the entries arent fresh, I dont find any personal value in them. Ive changed enough as a person that the situations and solutions I wrote about in old journals no longer apply specifically to new situations. I havent actively read journal entries more than a few months old in a long time, and every time I happen to see one, I really dont care to read it. There are a few reasons for this, but most of it boils down to the fact that my journals reflect my active thinking at that moment, but when that moment fades away, theres not much value there. Its not a record of my life, but an outpouring of my current thought. There are some specific reasons, too. I am often deeply critical of myself, something that doesnt need to be re-read and dwelled upon. I sometimes tear myself to shreds when Im writing a journal entry. Im extremely critical of my flaws and mistakes, and while that can be good in the moment when Im assessing a situation or setting out a goal, it doesnt do me any good to read it later or for someone else to read it. I am sometimes honestly critical of my children in a way that I wouldnt want them to read; I do this not to be cruel, but to figure out how to be a good parent to them. It does not make me a good parent to pretend that my children are perfect and flawless. Rather, one of the best things I can do as a parent is to honestly assess their good features and their flaws and take those into account when I figure out how to communicate well with them and guide them toward good decision making practices, life ambitions, and things of that nature. For example, I might write down that one of my children is extremely conscientious of others but is sometimes excessively boastful, or I might write that another child is richly thoughtful but very quick to frustration and anger. (Obviously, these arent actual observations and are quite sanitized to boot, just examples so you understand what I mean.) Those arent thoughts that I want them to read, or anyone else to read. The same is true for my wife and my role as a husband and, occasionally, some of my friends and my role as their friend. I do similar evaluations of my wife at times. In what ways is she amazing? In what ways can I complement her with my strengths? In what ways does she complement my own weaknesses? How can I help out in areas where shes not as strong? Im sure shes glad that I think about such things and consider how to be a better husband, but I dont think even she would want to actually read such thoughts. The same thing is true if I assess a friend, particularly if theyre asking me for some life advice. I want to give the best advice I can to them, and that sometimes means being critical, and sometimes those words find their way into my journals. Thus, I dont save old journals, at least not anything older than my most recent one. I keep my current journal and my previous one in a secure place where they cant easily be found. My current journal is easy for me to grab in the mornings, but its not in a place where it would likely be found. When my current journal is full, I destroy the previous journal after I read through it again. For a while, I was keeping digital copies of my old journals, but I found that I was never looking at them, didnt really want to ever look at them, and didnt want anyone else to find them, so I stopped doing this. The downside to others finding those thoughts was worth more than the upside of any potential limited use I might have for them in the future. The policy of destroying the journals and keeping the current one secure lets me be more unguarded with my journaling. Given that I know my journals wont be around for posterity, I feel more comfortable just letting my thoughts fly on the page. I dont worry about who might read them or how they might appear for posterity. At worst, the most recent journal or two might be found, and that doesnt worry me too much. I usually start off each journal with a note saying that this is a collection of my unguarded thoughts as I worked through personal decisions and I would appreciate that the journal would be destroyed upon discovery if I were to pass. I vastly prefer handwritten journaling, but I may switch to using a stylus and writing on a table in the future as those technologies improve; writing by hand provides a clarity of thought that typing doesnt quite provide for me. For me, typing is conducive to rapidly recording ideas, but the process doesnt allow me any space to think about them. If I want to explore my thoughts, consider things, and actually remember them, I write things out by hand. This is true for journaling, but its also true for taking notes at meetings, taking notes when Im reading, taking notes during a lecture, and so on. I write all of those notes by hand and, if theres potential value that I might get out of them later, I convert them to digital format. I feel like taking notes with an Apple Pencil on an iPad is 90% of the way to where I want a stylus to be, but its not all the way there yet. When its perfect, writing thoughts down on a tablet using a stylus will be the best way to journal and take notes because it offers the advantages of both writing by hand and digital notes, but for now, its not quite there yet, and given a choice between the two, the thoughtfulness and retention of writing by hand outweighs typing out journal entries for me. I use Leuchtturm 1917 journals and either Uniball Signo 207, Pilot G2, or Pilot Juice pens. The journal isnt a requirement Ive used all kinds of different things over the years but I really like the size and the binding and paper quality of that specific journal. One of those usually lasts about two and a half months for my journaling purposes. As for the pens, I really only have three requirements for a pen: it needs to write when I want it without a lot of futzing around, it needs to have a thin line and not bleed all over the page or make a mess, and it needs to not leak in my pocket. The pens listed up there pass those tests with flying colors. I can get weeks and weeks out of writing with just one of them and it costs less than a dollar, which is good enough for me. Id rather spend $0.75 on a pen that will write for weeks without fail and not make a mess or leak than a $0.25 pen or a freebie that will need a bunch of waving around or tinkering when I want it to write, leave a ton of messy ink on the page, and inevitably leave a big blotch of ink on the paper or in my pocket. Final Thoughts Spending some time each day journaling simply writing my thoughts down on paper not only helps me piece through the problems in my life and ideas in my head, it also helps clear my mind and make it easier to focus on the tasks of the day because it quiets the voice in my head that would otherwise keep running through those problems and ideas. It has helped me not only figure out a bunch of financial and professional problems, its also helped keep my mind focused when actually doing work to earn an income. I find that my 45 morning minutes practice works extremely well for me, but there are many practices out there that range from simply listing the events of the day, writing what youre grateful for, brainstorming, and many other things. I highly recommend trying several practices until you find one that works well for you and then stick with it for a while. You might just find that it becomes an essential part of your life toolbox. I've only been in one accident my entire life of driving and it wasn't my fault, a WOMAN backed into me as I was passing a parking lot. Apparently that wasn't the first time she did that either. One other time a WOMAN almost crashed into me on the free way, she wanted to get into my lane but apparently she didn't see me and just without using a turn signal just decided to turn into my lane and luckily i was paying attention and was able to break soon enough and she probably came within inches of her back side smashing into my side. it caused me to break suddenly which made the car behind me break suddenly and honk his horn, i honked my horn and the lady in front of me was apparently clueless to the world. Anyways the reason if this is true because I don't believe it men might have more accidents is because they're more likely to become drunk. Men drink and drive more, not only that but they probably like to show off more. rates should be higher for people like them, not all men. Gender biases are unconstitutional because that's prejudice. Also it's a total lie that women make less money than men. when i waited tables, the women got all the good tips from men. while i generally just got the minimum tip. not only that but sometimes if i was dealing with another male, sometimes they didn't give me a tip at all especially if they were drunk or some scruffy looking truck driver trying to hit on the other girls. But if one of those hot girls waited on them, they would sometimes give them a tip that was more than the food that they ordered! I think it's all bs. and of course completely racist. Why does america allow this? You know in some countries they don't allow women to drive. MAYBE it's because they're bad drivers!!!""

At this point I regret making a claim and wish i could turn back the clock. I am being forced into a box and it looks shady. Three weeks ago my 2005 Cadillac STS was involved in a parking lot flood where the water rose and filled the floors of my car by about 4 inches. All us neighbors had cleaning parties using a wet vac and baking and toweling are cars in the sun over the next few days letting our vehicles dry out. On my car everything works like a dream as it did before with the exception of a 'check stability control' notice that comes on when I start the car. I have been driving the car fine since the flood and decided maybe I should make a claim to fix this error that pops up on the dash when i start the car. From the time I dropped it off at the dealer it has been all negative. Right away the dealer was negative and telling me it's the end of the world with my car, everything is ruined and it will probably be a total loss. He got the adjuster for my insurance company out there and it looks like it will be put in to the total loss category. No i am just asking the insurance company to forget everything and drop the claim because the damage is not that extreme and i dont want to lose my car. I am told at this point it is too late. Is that true? My neighbors are floored by this, i have been driving it around for a few weeks just fine and the car still looks new With only 62000 miles on it. I can't help from thinking that something suspicious is going on here. Do they stand to make a nice profit by totalling my vehicle and then replacing one module for a 1000 or so and having a perfect car with all systems working? Also the lady from the claims office said the car had to be 80% damaged for it to be a total loss. I asked her if this was based on speculative problems that they think may occur in the future because of the water, or based on actual damage now? She said it had to be actual damage now but couldn't give me any details from the adjuster yet. Can I demand that the adjuster list everything that he thinks has been damaged to my car (which I am convinced he will have to be creative to do so)? The car as i said drives wonderful, I checked the fluids on my own (fine), and the car looks new. Do I have any recourse here? I just want the car fixed for the one problem, i dont want to lose the car, and at this point I don't even care about having insurance fix the one problem, but again I am told it is too late to go backwards and drop this entire issue. Keyword Research Tool Review – Market Samurai

What in the world qualifies me to give a keyword research tool review? Ummm, to be quite honest - it's not so much about shining expertise as it is a mix of pressing need and lots of trial and error. I've figured a lot of things out the hard way, and I'm all for sharing what I've learned with others. I am not a marketing savant or an SEO guru (yet).

But I AM a career-long researcher who knows the Web. I began my freelance writing career doing print materials for nonprofits - and in late 2009, I turned web content writer. Oh. but I knew one thing I wanted. I saw that I would get just one chance to impress a local prospect enough to get ongoing article-writing, web-updating, and SEO-maintaining business. Would not it be lovely, I thought, to have a tool that was so whiz-bang that I would impress a prospect from that very first meeting? And keep 'em for the long haul.

What exactly would that take? A keyword research software tool that would allow me to do a quick, up-front keyword list - complete with competition overview and related applications. All from within a single, easy-to-read interface.

I set to work researching premium keyword research tool reviews. And here's my top-5 list of must-have's: full-featured interface, robust criteria-based filtering, free screenshot-based training, no recording subscription fees, and easy-to-read results.

1. Full-featured Interface

A big drawback of some of the free tools out there is that it is next to impossible to conduct all of the necessary research within a single, unified interface. Browser window after browser window must be opened to check on the Google competition, research domain ages and available names, and so on ... and so on.

What to do? Is there a software product out there that handles all of the keyword research, competition analysis, domain research, and even content research? Yup, there is. And I stumbled across it through a forum of marketers.

In my attempt to marinate myself in all things SEO, I joined the Warrior Forum - a very active, driven group of Internet Marketers. I was, I'm ashamed to say, certainly a lurker of the lowest order. But what a rich education my lurking proved to be! I will never forget the wonderful post that asked forum members to tell what tools, out of ALL the tools they had ever invested in (and believe me, these folks try out EVERYTHING you can imagine), had yielded the greatest returns. I first assumed a bunch of IM'ers were providing affiliate links. Nope. Market Samurai did not even have an affiliate program at that time. The IM veterans in that forum simply thought it was an awesome product and wanted to say so. And what did they most love about it (away from price)? Its comprehensive, full-featured interface.

2. Great Video / Screenshot Training

Keyword research tools can make you feel like a read idiot. Keyword research tool reviews often neglect to mention that unfortunate fact. It's quite remarkable to see a list of related words populate table rows after you enter only one word or phrase - but then ... gulp!

WHAT in heaven's name are all those numbers? Am I expected to dig out a PDF manual and look up OCI and SEOC while I am examining all of those tiny little figures on the screen? Danger, Will Robinson ... newbie overload alert.

For goodness sake, do not try this stuff at home without the proper training.

So ... I explored the Market Samurai training tools - appropriately called the "Dojo." Hold off on all that a ** - kicking, little white belt, until the Sensei has spoken. Sheesh, after all, no one tries to tackle building a website without learning HTML, right ?. Silly to tackle professional market research (which is exactly what keyword tools enable) without training.

The Dojo was excellent. So was the Aussie Sensei. And I've got a teaching background and a lot of training snobbiness in me. The guy in the training vids took me through the use of the tool (in bite-sized bits). I watched, made notes, and found that by the end of the series, I "got" how to do results filtering. And how to make research into a very streamlined workflow.

3. Easy-to-Interpret Results

Guess what? (I'm going to lay a deep bit of wisdom on you here. Ready?)

The only keyword results that are important are the ones that actually give you access to a niche. In this business, that means getting rid of all junk - as in, never having to view it at all!

One of the most useful features of the free market Samurai Dojo is its step-by-step video tutorial on effectively applying filters.

Oh, and guess what? You can get a taste of the Dojo videos without buying or downloading a thing.

4. One-time, Up-Front Cost

As a novice "info-preneur," I'm quite pleased to invest in excellent marketing tools - but I do avoid recurring monthly costs . My goal is to generate monthly income - not to see my money draining out in the form of automatic credit card charges.

So, I made myself a promise as I began my business that I would stick religiously to a "tool budget" and limit myself to purchases that required only a one-time investment. Ahem ... sorry, Wordtracker. I love you, but you're too rich for my blood. Back to reading more keyword research tool reviews ....

What else did the Warrior Forum members extol about Market Samurai? Its very reasonable, one-time-purchase price model. I agree. Mmm-hmmm - very nice indeed.

But you can, of course, give it a spin without paying a nickel - OR giving your credit card.

email to my teacher (warning alot of personal stuff)

Hey so, sorry to email you out of nowhere like this? But i feel like maybe im finally at a point where i can explain more thoroughly why im having trouble with school or just succeeding in general. I think its really important that i tell you some of this junk because theres a chance it might make the rest of the year easier for you and me.

I wanted to start off with apologizing for all the trouble ive caused you throughout the year with the annoying comments, disruptions and backtalk. And most of all the terrible ability i have with doing and turning in work.

This email is mostly to explain my situation and reasoning for acting/struggling the way i have been (not to annoy you or be sarcastic).

Alright so, if you havent noticed i struggle with some things and one of them i never really bring up is ptsd. I have been diagnosed and im hoping to enlighten you on my specific issues with it, (everything i mention will apply to me as to make it less confusing from here on)

I have a specific type of ptsd called Complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD; also known as complex trauma) This type of ptsd is different in that it results from repetitive, prolonged trauma. My causes for being diagnosed are specifically natural-detachment from my mother and physical/sexual abuse growing up and some other things im not going to mention.

My side effects from this are,

Attachment – "problems with relationship boundaries, lack of trust, social isolation, difficulty perceiving and responding to other's emotional states, and lack of empathy"

This is strongly linked to my reactive attachment disorder and explains alot to why i am the way i am. I have an extreme lack of trust in others and am constantly doubting myself, there is not a second of the day where i dont think im a horrible person, i could be doing better, im disgusting to look at ect. The social isolation is a big problem for me, because im “this way” i feel that bothering others with my presence/problems/medical difficulties ect. is not necessary and for the better. Hence why i refrain from asking when i really need help, im scared to bother you. I dont want to make you angry and i know you and mrs mumford are already so stressed by the time my bell starts.

Biology – "sensory-motor developmental dysfunction, sensory-integration difficulties, somatization, and increased medical problems"

This ties into my Fibromyalgia and eds which ill explain more about after i go through ptsd. Its all kind of one big mixed bag of disorders that tie together and make me the way i am.

Affect or emotional regulation – "poor affect regulation, difficulty identifying and expressing emotions and internal states, and difficulties communicating needs, wants, and wishes"

Like i talked about before i feel extremely useless and annoying when asking for help or even talking about the things i enjoy. And when trying to explain my difficulties i stop midsentence or forget words/forget what my problem is and it becomes frustrating.

Dissociation – "amnesia, depersonalization, discrete states of consciousness with discrete memories, affect, and functioning, and impaired memory for state-based events"

THIS is what i blame for never being able to remember anything. With fibromyalgia i have whats called “brain fog” and with the constant dream like state im in because of dissociation it makes my memory absolutely terrible. Remembering your names in class took me until almost 3rd quarter and it was utterly embarrassing(i still forget sometimes), its even more embarrassing when i forget basic buttons on the calculator and have to ask in front of everyone looking like an idiot.Or when i try to shout out an answer in class and it comes out gibberish because my mind is everywhere all at once, Or when we have a test on the formula we learned a week ago, and of course my mind draws a blank. I cant remember, and it makes me so frustrated with myself that i want to break down right there in class. It renders me doing weird things too, like the other day i put the icecream in the bread drawer, and on sunday i woke up and got ready for school. Theres alot of other things i could say but its as if fibro is laughing in my face.

Dissociation in my own words is feeling like nothing is real, things dont feel like they happened. What does feel real is the pain/feeling in my body, i am a very anxious and jumpy person so im very sensitive to loud sounds/touch/weather and certain (triggering) talk among students. And yet i still feel in a daze,My vision will sometimes blur and i am very prone to falling/accidents, staying focused can be extremely frustrating because my brain feels like a cloud, its almost uncontrollable like a dream. I dont think anyone can control those very much so i think its a good example.

Behavioural control – "problems with impulse control, aggression, pathological self-soothing, and sleep problems"

Im pretty okay with impulses, i of course have alot of very impulsive thoughts but i am good at controlling them id say, same with aggression but i very much so struggle with sleep problems because of nightmares from ptsd and chronic pain from fibro, i have not been diagnosed with insomnia but im sure i fit the criteria im just really bad at opening up with doctors/people ect.

These are just a couple more symptoms to help explain,

Cognition – "difficulty regulating attention, problems with a variety of "executive functions" such as planning, judgement, initiation, use of materials, and self-monitoring, difficulty processing new information, difficulty focusing and completing tasks, poor object constancy, problems with "cause-effect" thinking, and language developmental problems such as a gap between receptive and expressive communication abilities."

Self-concept – "fragmented and disconnected autobiographical narrative, disturbed body image, low self-esteem, excessive shame, and negative internal working models of self".

Alterations in relations with others, including isolation and withdrawal, persistent distrust, a repeated search for a rescuer, disruption in intimate relationships and repeated failures of self-protection.

Loss of, or changes in, one's system of meanings, which may include a loss of sustaining faith or a sense of hopelessness and despair.

Variations in consciousness, including forgetting traumatic events (i.e., psychogenic amnesia), reliving experiences (either in the form of intrusive PTSD symptoms or in ruminative preoccupation), or having episodes of dissociation.

Changes in self-perception, such as a chronic and pervasive sense of helplessness, paralysis of initiative, shame, guilt, self-blame, a sense of defilement or stigma, and a sense of being completely different from other human beings

Now that im done explaining the ptsd, Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder that my doctor believes to be linked to my other disorders, Fibromyalgia has to do with the senses we as humans all have, feeling, hearing, taste, and sight. The difference between someone with fibro and an average healthy person is lets say theres a knob for how strong each of these senses are, so imagine someone taking all those knobs and turning them all the way up to max sensitivity. Youd think oh cool youre like a super hero (like my sister likes to say) but no its the exact opposite, it does not benefit me whatsoever. Feeling, paired with ehlers danlos syndrome both my joints and my muscles are constantly in pain and some days ill have what you call a “flare up” which is where getting out of bed usually isnt an option for my body, i cannot remember the last time i didnt feel at least a dull ache in my head, i get migraines at least once everyday and unfortunately i get nauseous so i dont eat very much . Almost everything is irritating to my skin, a simple light rub of my finger on the top of my forearm is irritating and raw feeling (like ive been sitting there rubbing the same spot for hours) /Writing is over all painful, including typing as well/

If youve ever woken up in the morning with sore muscles from pushing yourself too hard the day before,that is how the muscles in my body feel, if you press on them they ache, and sting/burn when i use them. painful touch for most of my body paired with constant anxiety of getting bumped into/touched is stressful and tiring. On a good day my pain scale is a 5 from 1-10 but thats if im really lucky.

Then theres the weather, if im too hot and i start to sweat, the sweat stings my skin and i end up going into a frenzy of scratching and agony. If its too cold my joints will start to lock up and become painful, its like they freeze and when i move them it feels like im shattering ice in my hand mixed with dull muscle ache. If its a good temperature theres still the feeling and i swear, the sound i can hear of my joints grinding together like two pieces of rubber being rubbed against eachother slowly.

Hearing is also bad, loud sounds are very irritating to my ears and will cause my migraine to get worse.(Talking too loud)Other irritating sounds, paper rubbing against paper roughly making that blblblb sound, high pitched noises of any loudness, squeaks, repetitive beeps ect.

Sight wise turning on lights abruptly is painful and makes my migraine worse, any bright light in general.

Taste doesnt really matter so i wont mention, but because these knobs are turned full blast it means the nerves and pain receptors in my body are being over worked constantly by my brain

And my brain thinks its doing its job by constantly acting like ive been running triathalons.

The recollection of pain comes in avalanches of distress for me. I usually experience the intense turmoil of fibromyalgia in the winter, or whenever cold fronts shatter the air and its frail victims. My limbs cannot contain the strength possible to function during those cold spells. Fibromyalgia’s lengthy sentence comes and goes for some, but, as a teenager, it’s disheartening. For the rest of my life, I will never be able to remember living without every waking moment marked by pain.

The abnormality of fibro weighs on my shoulders when I’m asleep, awake, or anywhere inbetween. I wake up at 4:30 each morning in order to be shuffling around by 6:20 a.m. The heaviness of my body pulls me down and pains me as I take a shower, put on my clothes, and put my small backpack on my shoulder to head out to school. Any sense of touch creates extreme levels of pain for me. Touching my arm, poking my leg, and brushing against my back hurt as much as twisting my ankle. My distraught reaction is a lot like a dog crying in pain and distrust after you accidentally step on its paw. Because im always in pain im always right next to the emotional breaking point, im always on the verge of tears. The smallest things can make me break down.

The pain prohibits me from being a teenager. Thanks to fibro, I cannot dress up in my favorite clothes and be what you call “Extra” everyday as i so much wish to be during the winter. My hands are crooked and shake too much usually to apply makeup. I struggle with applying eyeliner, because my hands hurt too much wrapped around a brush. The uncomfortable school chairs make me weep when I return home, because they destroy my concentration, forcing me to focus on the overwhelming pain I feel. I used to excel in school, but now, I can barely think fast enough, and come off as ditzy. I feel like I’m constantly struggling to maintain the fragments of my intelligence I lost due to fibro medication and fibromyalgia itself.

My GPA, became my ball and chain in school, rather than an accomplishment worth sharing. During the year, my schedule is dictated by the weather. Cold weather causes agonizing, excruciating pain that races down my spine and branches through my limbs. If a cold front passes, rain falls, snow falls, or temperatures drop, I freeze like the Tin Man, except there isn’t any oil to move my joints. The way I get sleep should be considered a torture method. Many people feel refreshed or renewed when they wake up after 8 hours, but I feel completely restless and exhausted. And thats if the nightmares from the PTSD dont interrupt. I toss and turn for hours in pain, because the pain signals interrupt the sleep cycle. I cry intensely whenever I think of sleep; school usually means a lack of sleep, but I am further deprived without choice. My biological system cannot allow me to rest, and continues to tense my muscles in a constant state of flight or fight.

With most schools starting at 8 a.m., my body struggles to run on 8 hours of sleep (which really feels like two). The exhaustion prevents me from hanging out with some of my closest friends. In the early stages of having fibromyalgia, I used to be able to do school clubs, hang out with my best friend, and go to cons with my friends often. Now, I spend my time huddled down, trying to make up for the nights of lost sleep. The lack of sleep and the endless pain contribute to extreme depression. And to keep my mood relatively happy i act like a goose in school with friends which doesnt do me good with teachers, I do it to not break down and let myself get too low around others because i know id regret embarrassing myself like that more than anything. The pain yearns for my thoughts to leap toward suicidal thoughts, and I was obsessed with death for years and still am. There was a time when I searched for ways to end my life, because nobody could help me and I couldn’t face living the rest of my life knowing that I’ll always be in pain. I still have these thoughts, and I believe I always will as long as I emit pain. Hence why i was in the hospital for a week recently, the hopelessness and embarrassment is dragging me down. The whole idea of having fibromyalgia embarrasses me. I’m embarrassed that I am constantly being called crippled, disabled, or chronically ill.Or worse not being noticed at all while struggling. I’m embarrassed that fibromyalgia makes me feel like I’m 67 instead of 16. I’m embarrassed that I will never be able to be an artsy beat poet like Patti Smith, or a rock ‘n’ roll guitarist like Keith Richards.

So i think thats as much as i can cover for you right now with my two of my biggest problems , im extremely exhausted and im not joking when i say my fingers feel like they are gonna fall off haha.

Im terribly sorry for how long this email is but i think i got most everything with these two topics in there, also dont feel obliged to reply to this, im already embarrassed i even wrote all this down (terribly).

Quick thing i would like to say before i end the email, with all respect i am not looking for sympathy in any way. I am simply stating the way i am in hopes that if you understand itll make things less stressful for me and you. So dont feel like you have to do anything for me.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Link has never been set so free

The Nintendo Switch launch title takes the Zelda franchise to a whole new level, producing something even greater than the sum of its finely honed parts

Nintendo tricked us all. For years, it gave the impression that it was content to live in its own little corner of the gaming world, making well-received updates to its own franchises, without really caring about what the wider industry was doing.

Now we know that for all that time, it was watching and learning. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the result of that examination: a game that marries the best bits of the franchises long history with the best bits of the rest of the gaming world, and produces something even greater than the sum of its parts.

At its heart, Breath of the Wild is an open-world exploration game, in the vein of titles such as Skyrim, The Witcher 3, and FarCry 4. After completing the small starting area (and these things are, of course, relative: that area feels about as large as the entire Hyrule Field from Ocarina of Time), Link is thrown into a world scattered with quests to complete, people to meet and monsters to defeat.

He can find and climb towers to mark new areas on the map and travel at speed between them. He can break in wild horses and ride them, collect foodstuffs and cook them, collect new weapons and kill new things with them. He can also find, hidden or in plain sight, shrines which expand his life pool for each four completed; he can attack, or be attacked by, boss-level monsters wandering around the world, and solve environmental puzzles to collect Korok seeds that will expand his inventory. And then theres the other stuff dotted around the place that defies categorisation: the Great Fairies, the rare non-boss monsters, the small hints at the past of the world of Hyrule, and the strange characters youll sometimes meet, half way up a mountain playing an accordion or in the middle of a ruined castle being attacked by Bokoblins.

Theres a danger, when describing a game of this scale, to get lost in the checklists. Yes, theres a lot to do, but thats meaningless if doing it isnt fun in its own right. Thankfully, thats not a problem Breath of the Wild has. In fact, I cant think of a previous Zelda game which gets the core gameplay loop so right.

Lets pull back for a second, though, and look at the overall structure of the game. Once Link leaves the Great Plateau, in short order he finds the heart of his quest: to find and free the four divine beasts, techno-magical creations that are key to defeating regular series villain Ganon and saving Princess Zelda and the land of Hyrule from destruction. As Zelda plots go, its fairly standard, considerably enlivened by the cast of characters involved, and the fully voice-acted cutscenes interspersed throughout (Link himself, however, remains a mute protagonist).

Those four divine beasts are located at roughly the four corners of the map, encouraging full exploration even before the completionism and sidequests kick in. They occupy roughly the same role in as the classical dungeons and temples of previous Zelda games, with a series of puzzles culminating in a boss fight, and form absolutely spectacular set pieces.

The first of the beasts I fought and you can approach them in any order you see fit, but the game gently nudges you to tackle them in a roughly anti-clockwise order started with a trip to Zoras Domain, battling through a long path to reach the land of the fish people. Once there, Link is enlisted to collect lightning-infused Shock Arrows (the Zora, being a watery folk, cant even touch them), before he teams up with the prince of the Zora to attack the divine beast, using the arrows to take out weak points on its outer shell and calm it enough to land on it. And thats only the beginning of the fight, which draws a clear inspiration from titles like PS2 classic Shadow of the Colossus and manga hit Attack on Titan.

Each of the beasts have their own radically different storyline leading up to the confrontation, and even in a more conventionally-structured Zelda, theyd be noteworthy for their impeccable mixture of puzzles, combat and flair.

But Breath of the Wild is not conventionally structured – at least, not for this series. Gamecube-era classic The Wind Waker comes closest, with its seafaring world, but where the open ocean that game offered was largely a wide blue expanse with the occasional semirandom encounter, Breath of the Wilds world is, and I cant repeat this enough, bursting at the seams.

If youre thinking, for instance, that four dungeons seems slim even Ocarina of Time had nine then lets talk about those shrines. Nintendo says theres 120 of them, dotted all around the map, and each of them is a complete mini-dungeon in its own right. Some are simple one-room puzzles, offering everything from a test of timing with your bow and arrow to a motion-controlled game of pachinko. Others expand that, up to a full multi-room series of Zelda puzzles, taking an idea (transport the fire, for instance) and iterating on it. There are combat-focused shrines, with one singular boss-tier enemy, and there are even shrines where the entire puzzle is simply finding the damn thing, or making your way to its front door.

If youre matching the description to your memory of Zelda games past, youll notice something: those shrines arent and cant be ability gated. If you can do anything in any order, the game cant require items that drop from one dungeon to complete the next, as almost every previous Zelda game has. Instead, youll secure the vast majority of your skills in the opening area, including bombs, a time-freeze skill, and the ability to manipulate metal objects.

There are still times youll find yourself in a shrine and unable to complete it, particularly some of the harder combat shrines, but even that happens less often than you might think, thanks to the games unique approach to collectibles.

Every weapon (and shield) is breakable. Not in a World of Warcraft, or Witcher 3, way, where they have durability scores to encourage you to head to a blacksmith periodically. No, these weapons will break, permanently, after a certain amount of use, and theres nothing you can do about it.

That means rather than a steady power increase, common to most RPGs, youll find yourself yo-yoing around: a brilliant sword dropped by a boss will give you a huge burst of damage, but only until it shatters. Its a canny concept, which has you playing around with a far wider proportion of the games armoury than most of its peers, which forces you to treat the vast majority of loot as junk.

The downside is pairing that approach with an extremely limited inventory space, and the rapid desire to keep a few types of weapon on hand for specific uses (a metal blade for making sparks to light fires, for instance, and an icy weapon for killing fiery enemies), can quickly feel cramped. At times, Ive found myself with only one weapon I was actually comfortable using against common mobs, rapidly having to pick up a new club every time my old one shattered lest I wear down my Ancient Sword++ or Giant Thunderblade.

Just as your weaponry and inventory no longer act as a constraint on where you can go, so too does the world itself offer few barriers. You can go anywhere is a common selling point in open world games, but its rarely so true as here. Every wall, cliff, and tower can be climbed, with only Links stamina limiting how far you can go. And that stamina can be refilled, with food eaten halfway up a mountain, and enhanced, with items won from shrines, meaning that the sky really is the limit. And youll want to climb high, because the other major addition to Links motability is a paraglider, similar to the Deku Leaf from Wind Waker, which can take him a considerable distance if he jumps off a high-enough point.

All these things combine together to form that best-in-class core gameplay loop. In the back of your mind, you know you should make your way to the Zora Domain, to find the divine beast. So you climb a mountain to see if you can spy the way to the tower that will give you the map. You do see the tower, but you also spot a shrine halfway there. Pausing only to consider the landscape it really is pretty, isnt it? you mark the shrines location, jump off a cliff, and float towards it, but find your way blocked by a camp of Bokoblins. Fighting your way through them shatters the claymore youve been carrying, and costs precious arrows, but the chest at the end contains a hundred rupees, and you pick up a spear one of them dropped, so it nets out. Once you find the shrine, you complete the puzzle by setting your own wooden spear on fire, and then leave, with the intention of heading on to the tower.

But the shrine is a fast travel point, offering you the ability to divert from the trek and easily resume it at a later date. And now youve got a hundred rupees, you can entice a Great Fairy out of her hiding place. So you head over there, and chat to her, discovering that shell enhance your armour. But you need a few more Hightail Lizards to do so and so you put the trip to Zoras Domain on hold again, just for a few more minutes

You look up, and its five hours later, and you dont care.
