Miria Madin's Story(my Star Wars oc)-part 1:

Tw: probably very bad english lol(I'm sorry, english is not my first language and I translated most of this on Google)

Miria Madin lost her parents when she was very young, because of this and being very poor, she started stealing out of necessity. She stole things like food, money or things she could sell or trade with someone. She was caught by the guards almost every time, but she never received really severe punishments, as she did not commit such large thefts.

When she was 13, she met a boy, he was poor like her, so they started stealing together. They ended up falling in love, but it was a child's love, pure and innocent. They did everything together.

One day, because of a small robbery gone wrong, a corrupt and heartless guard killed Miria's love.... She was devastated. The only thing she had to remember him by was a jacket that he always wore, and she never took off the jacket again so that she could always remember him.

A few years later, when Miria was 15 years old, a very strange thing happened, a Jedi master came to Ephyria. This was a very unusual occurrence, due to the fact that the queen of Ephyria, a narcissistic and controlling woman, did not like Jedi or any authority from another planet(or the Republic) coming to Ephyria to try to solve problems that were not theirs or to try to get her to sign some stupid agreement.

This Jedi finds Miria, just because she was actually trying to steal from him, but he notices the Force in her. These powers were things that Miria never gave much importance to and, because she lived alone, no one ever noticed either. The Jedi asks Miria if she would like to leave Ephyria with him and receive the proper training, which she should have had since she was a child. Miria, with all her hatred for her home planet, immediately accepts and goes with the Jedi to Coruscant.

Echoes of War Chronicles WIP Intro!!!

Look at me! Writing and posting a WIP Intro and not a tag game like last Wednesday!! Did it take fifteen reminders and ten instances of sitting down with the intention to write it but getting distracted and not making any progress? Yes. But I finally got it finished!! So let's get into it!

Fair warning, this is kind of a long post, but when is anything I post not?

While nothing in this post has any kind of CW/TW I can find, this whole series is pretty dark/gory in its contents, and for that reason, I'm labeling it 18+. Specifically for excessive violence, dark themes, and general explicit content and gore. I try my hardest to label content appropriately whenever I post tag games and snippets.

Now let me introduce you to the stars of the show!

Asset 703

Created from Project Viall, 703 has been with the Mors her entire life. Trained from birth to be the most deadly weapon in the Realms. She is regarded as a demon of death and an unfeeling monster. It's the only life she's known, and she long since accepted that fact. She doesn't particularly care about the nature of her creation or the brutality of her job. She was created for a purpose, and it's the sole reason for her existence. It's not her place to think about things like life outside the Mors. Those were traitorous thoughts and pointless hopes.

Fres

Another of Project Viall's subjects, Fres was also raised in the Mors. Nearly as deadly as their partner 703, the two were feared. But as Fres was exposed to more of the Realms during their missions, they began to resent the life they had. All the pain and abuse fueled their anger. So they created a plan, escaping from the Mors in a blazing chaotic mess. From them on, they devoted themselves to fighting against the Mors. They wanted to see them burn in eternal damnation, unable to ever rise back from the smoldering pile they left them in.

Ronan "Rage" Airvix

Assigned to be 703's field handler and healer, Rage works for the Mors. He's very calm and patient, unless you disregard his healing expertise, then you'll see where the nickname Rage came from. He will adopt anyone left unattended for five minutes.

Dana Hueland

Dana is one of the hardest fighters against the Mors. A feisty woman and phenomenal fighter, she's intimidating to anyone that comes across her. She excels at close combat and piloting and is a certified BAMF, MILF, and top tier Bisexual.

Master Gerd

One of the highest ranked in the Mors, Master Gerd is a psychopath with a god complex. He abuses his power religiously, especially over 703. He is feared my nearly everyone in the Mors and he knows it. -1000/10 would drown violently.

Healer Asurr

The head of Project Viall, Healer Asurr is a bit of a mad scientist. They're only concern is their life long work of enhancing species, ultimately to create the superior lifeform. They would stick you in a cage and study you obsessively for months.

Now, because the Seven Realms are so expansive, I'm just including a few basics here (she says after having written way too much info and then hitting delete far too many times). If anyone shows an interest in knowing more about them, I'll do a post for each Realm, I'm planning to anyway at some point, but for now, enjoy the little snippets that tell you absolutely nothing about their importance to the plot!

Mirralia has the second largest population of the Seven Realms. With its variety of biomes and massive cities, it's one of the most sought after places to live. Full of some of the most rich and powerful flora and fauna, many resources for alchemy are found in the Realm. It also remains to be one of the only Realms dragons have still been spotted. Mirralia government positions are highly sought after and their military is one of the strongest of the Seven Realms.

Enkkon produces some of the best Agi (trained magic users) in the Seven Realms, with schools to match. With top schools in many specialties, it brings in species from every Realm, creating the most diverse population of any Realm. Far less rich in raw elemental, Enkkon is a quiet Realm, reliant on technology far more than the other Realms, but that doesn't make its native species any weaker than the other Realms.

Levekint has the largest population. While the cities are large and bubbling, the flora and fauna of the planet interacts with everything. It's not uncommon to see buildings with vines or trees growing out of the middle, or for a shop to have bird nests and other creatures wandering about indoors. Levekint taught healers make up ninety percent of the Seven Realms healers. It is the forefront of healing innovation, producing some of the most renowned and well known healing names in history.

Zj'ahju is the smallest Realm, with the smallest population to go with it. The harsh biome and oppressive heat make the Realm nearly inhabitable for non-native species. However, it has some of the most beautiful architecture of the Realms, specializing in metal and glass. Both are big exports for the Realm, and they produce nearly fifty percent of the Seven Realms building supplies. Weapons and jaw dropping pieces of glass art are other major exports.

Ketaawi is the second largest Realm, comprising of ninety percent water. Most of Ketaawi's native species can breathe underwater, or can hold their breath for long periods of time. The massive cities of Ketaawi are either floating on the water, able to move much like a boat, or beautiful domes underwater. Right after Enkkon, Ketaawi is one of the most technologically advanced Realms, with some of the best defenses and security to be found anywhere.

Rorrut is a mountainous planet, having the highest peaks and deepest caves in the Realms. With such conditions, it's also a major Realm for rare alchemy supplies, specifically minerals and powerful, giant creatures. The planet is constantly "growing," creating more mountains and caves to replace the ones mined. With some of the most dangerous creatures in the Seven Realms, the natives became natural fighters and survivalists. There are very few large cities, and the habitants mostly form small villages, keeping to themselves and protecting each other.

The largest of the Seven Realms, Aveilu is a gas planet. The natives of the Realm have built their cities on the many rings of the planet, which are made up of large floating island, with the largest cities being floating cities, completely fueled by energy to keep them in the sky. Most native species in the Realm have some form of flight capabilities. Aveilu is the top Realm in ship production and export, creating ninety percent of the Realms flying transportation. It is the only other Realm dragons have been spotted in.

Hi Ed!

I really really love your drawings, specially the ones with holmes and your penciled ones. I hope it’s not to bold/rude of me to say but I’d love to draw like you, do you have any tips on where to start? I have some basics from forever ago but I very rusty on my abilities. Should I draw using references? A particular tutorial on YouTube? Something entirely different?

Well first step you want to be a 11 year old that gets absolutely obsessed with Warrior Cats-

Ok jokes aside (and thank you very much first!!) I'll see what actual advice I can give you! My approach to art is not really actively focused on improving (as I do not want to do this as my job and so just take the motivation to practice something specific as it comes.) but I'll try and recall what has helped me over the years.

Using references is definitely a very useful thing, I'm currently trying to use them more when it comes to drawing fabric but they're useful for all sorts of things. what I did and do personally as well is just. Watching people. Trying to figure out how the movement of a body works, the way arms can bend or legs are stretched. This works both with your own body (sometimes I just stand in front of a mirror trying to see how my arm bends over my head to get a feeling for it's movement.) and just observing people in day to day life! I find this technique easier than "static" photo references cause I get a better feeling of the body but they can both be useful.

I never really watched YouTube tutorials however what I did watch is hours and hours and hours of speedpaints - i think they're really fun if you are looking for different tricks and techniques to try, the way this artist does linework vs how this one colours- i have a few up myself.

Third, if you're anything like me and thrive on compliments; get yourself a buddy who's as hyped about your own art as you are. I feel like this helps with both inspiration and motivation, most of the time when I had art, be it when i was still drawing cats or Star Wars OCs to now drawing Sherlock Holmes - I also had a friend who was currently into the same things I was - or even better, was actively creating characters and stories with me which gave me lots of ideas to draw.

Oh also a little side note if you ever find yourself frustrated with your art or struggle to find inspiration, it often helps me to switch things up a bit, do something different. Get out actual paint. Try (and fail, in my case) to carve something. Paint a wall. Learn origami. Do something with model clay. Convince yourself that you can sew anything if you just tried hard enough.

I hope at least a few of those things are useful - explaining how I got here art wise is a bit difficult cause I mainly just picked up a pen and then just never stopped. But art starts somewhere for us all and I hope you can find joy in creating!!

Song of the year?

This year I wasn't really discovering new stuff, mostly listening to old and stuff and maybe digging for tubers listening to bands I already knew in search of new songs for my Playlist. I am very surprised this wasn't the year I got obsessed with Talking Heads, it felt like yesterday instead of 2 years ago. So I guess I'll just give a shout out to How Soon Is Now? by The Smiths (Зачарованныыеее), My Type by Saint Motel (this should be the pan anthem imo) and For The Animals by The Cult (it is frequently played on the rock station that I use as an alarm and gives me the most energy). And CHAMPION OF LIIIIIGHT of course.

4. Movie of the year?

SKINAMARINK. Watch it at night with NO distractions for the best viewing experience.

Frankly I have been watching way more series than films this year, mostly Star Trek, so I also want to nominate Beef for my favorite series of the year. And also HUGE shout out to Barry, one of the most comedy shows, what a wild fucking ride.

7. Favorite actor of the year?

Ohhhhhhhh... Well the problem is that I am not good at judging stuff like that, it's too hard for me to separate the actor from the character and from the setting. I can tell you who is Not a good actor, but to choose someone from like 100+ people I've witnessed... Scrolling through my blog didn't make anything click🤷‍♀️ (Actually I did get an idea but they've signed the letter in support of Israel so friendship ended.) Shout out to David Tennant I guess, this was his year according to the vocal chunk of my dash

25. Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one

Again, a testament to what a bog this year has been for me, I've got almost nothing, the only new thing was dabbling in the Star Trek universe. I mostly chewed on older stuff set in Fall/out, War/frame and Half/Life like on old stale gum. But I'm too embarrassed to talk about it, you have to complete my personal quest and get +100 approval rating to unlock my ocs���

OC's for my Lab Rats/Star Wars crossover AU.

I don't know how much of the Ahsoka series I'm going to incorporate into this crossover AU, but the time period is on my mind so I am playing around with some of my less developed ideas.

I have several OC's I've created for this AU (a nightsister, Ahsoka's little sister, etc.), but since the Ahsoka/Chase ship is what started this particular crossover AU for me, I decided to sketch their two daughters. (As what they would look like in 9 ABY)

On the left is Atarka Tano-Davenport, (21 yrs old in 9 ABY). Growing up with a father who cracked age-reversal at eighteen and a mother with the partial soul of a Mortis celestial, Atarka has always been fascinated with the nature of life itself. Both from the scientific point of view in biology and genetics, as well as the force. She's quickly becoming the Darth Plagueis of her generation, only as a light-sider (for now). A perfectionist like Chase, with Ahsoka's intuitive nature, she also has obsessive, tunnel-vision tendencies almost reminiscent of Douglas Davenport. She wields a yellow saber-staff powered by lava crystals (there is a pragmatic reason for this, I just don't feel like explaining it here).

On the right is Rexanne Tano-Davenport (17 yrs old in 9 ABY), obviously named after Ahsoka's brother-in-arms. Although she is also a powerful force-sensitive, she doesn't have the same fixations as her sister. She views the force as a tool, a powerful one certainly, but like any other tool or superpower, is dangerous to become reliant upon. Rexanne is extremely pragmatic, interested more in combat, dueling, and technology than the secrets of the force. This is partly influenced by an incident when she was younger, when she survived a surprise attack by Calderans, leaving her with severe enough injuries that Chase had use bionic technology to save her life (haven't decided on what bionic abilities she might have). She wields a pair of curved dueling lightsabers powered by synthetic crystals.

These are just rough ideas, a lot may end up changing before I eventually put them in a fic.

I think entirely in words rather than pictures (I believe that's called aphantasia?), so until I've got A Lot more experience and have built up a better mental library and muscle memory, most things I draw will be with reference, but I'm slowly getting better at drawing from imagination!!

Noteworthy Physical Traits - Jagged scar on her left side, tattoo of the solar system along her spine

Background - The first moments of Talyn's life were trial. Breath was given to her above Rhea, in the corpse of a shipwreck caught in the satellite's orbit for centuries. Confused and barely able to get her bearings, she was set upon by scavenging Fallen, and only defeated them by plunging the remains of the vessel into the Rhean surface. Her trespass in the domain of the Nine was, unwittingly to those involved, spared punishment by the rescue efforts of Soren, a daring Hunter she would later call friend. Upon her arrival in the Tower, Talyn was entrusted to the care of Fireteam Exalted's resident Warlock. Hangman-17 became her teacher in the ways of Lightwielding, and quickly found himself the new Guardian's closest friend and confidante.

Growing powerful in her own right over time, Talyn proved herself worthy to fill the void left by the death of one of the group's founding members. Her allegiance brought Fireteam Exalted back to it's full strength, and reinstated the group as an active Vanguard asset. With enough adventures under their collective belt, the Guardians of Exalted became Talyn's family. In addition to battling Darkness with her friends, an ethos of wanderlust brought Talyn to align herself with Dead Orbit. Eventually, one of her adventures would appoint her the captian of her very own vessel, the Fermi Paradox, and it's fifty-man crew.

Once she had truly shed her down and began working on her own, Talyn developed a secret professional relationship with the renegade Shin Malphur. Impressed by her battles thusfar, Shin recruited her as a kind of agent, entrusting her with the hunting of Dark Lightbearers with his oversight. As their respective kill counts increased, Talyn and Shin slowly became genuine friends in their shared pursuits. The pair were seperated for years following the Red War, with Talyn assuming him dead. After his reappearance with the rise of Gambit, they resumed their work by keeping tabs on the dark game. It was this history that informed Talyn's testy relationship with the Drifter, and what caused her so much strife when Shin revealed the true depth of his plans to her. In spite of this, he was as much a mentor to her as Hangman was- it was Shin who inspired most of Talyn's beliefs about the use of Darkness as a weapon, and Shin who later called them into question.

When Dominus Ghaul attacked the Last City, Hangman-17 disappeared on a personal mission. This left Talyn for the first time in four years without his guidance or her Light. Along with the crew of the Fermi Paradox, she linked up with the rest of Dead Orbit's fleet to wage hit-and-run campaigns on the Red Legion's vessels in the system. The experience was essential in forging her; it taught Talyn independence not only from others but even from her Light, and created a confidence she wasn't sure she was capable of. When the Guardian of the main story returned the Light, Talyn was able to re-establish contact with Exalted. She was relieved to see Hangman return, and in the aftermath of the Red War the pair became romantically involved.

Following another run of adventures together in the year following Ghaul's invasion, Talyn briefly struck out away from Fireteam Exalted to personally hunt down and kill Uldren Sov and his Barons. Single-minded and angry, she tore a bloody path through the Tangled Shore to find Cayde's murderer. Talyn shot the Prince mercilessly in hot-blooded revenge, and felt no remorse. It was only as the Taken curse started to grip the Dreaming City that she slowly began to realize the folly of what she'd done. Even though she doesn't let regret consume her heart, Talyn has taken to self-reflection as she fights the curse and seeks to understand her place as an Awoken.

Personality - Talyn is a creature most defined by her intense emotionality. Friendly and extroverted, she loves to interact with others and isn't shy about expressing herself to them, whether they be fellow Guardians or City-dwellers. Talyn tries to make herself as accessible as possible, willing to take others’ experiences and views into account and using them to learn more about them and the world around her. In truth, Talyn can sometimes be too friendly, and has some difficulty catching subtle social cues. Despite this, many find her easy to talk to and associate with. Not even Dead Orbit gets in the way of this; even if she isn't in concurrence with someone, she's more than willing to be peaceful to them. Her allegiance to the organization is borne purely of a belief that all that stays still becomes stagnant, and that in expanding its reach man will also expand its capability. It's one part logic and two parts free spirit, though- Talyn is an adventurous soul and delights in the prospect of navigating and mapping the stars. Even if she doesn't know it, this quirk of her personality is a hold-over from her past life.

Overwhelming compassion makes her quick to help others over herself, and she believes her purpose as a Guardian is to that exact aim. Instilled at her resurrection with an inexplicable feeling of maternity, Talyn connects easily with children and especially focuses her sense of purpose to their protection in her mind. Witty, curious, and intelligent as any Warlock should be, her cunning is one of her greatest strengths. She takes pleasure in honing it with puzzles, and speaks eloquently as a byproduct of her voracious consuming of books.

On the flipside, however, Talyn is prone to letting some of her more negative emotions control her if she isn't conscious enough. She suffers from anxieties she has difficulty dispelling, and when she allows them to take the reigns they can make her unsure of herself. If she isn't careful, Talyn can become consumed when frustrations arise. One such instance of her cold anger getting the better of her reason sent an etire civilization spiraling into chaos- Talyn holds incredible guilt over the Dreaming City's curse, and blames herself more than anything. These are shortcomings she tries to be aware of, and they're things she's working on with the help of Hangman and her friends.

Fun Fact(s) -

- Talyn is actually a big health nut, and pays close attention to what she eats and drinks.

- On that token, Talyn's all time favorite food is the rueben sandwich. It's almost to the point of obsession- she could eat it daily and not get sick of it.

- Exposed early to Thanatonautics, she's made the practice a bit of a hobby. She keeps a "death journal" to catalouge her visions.

- Talyn is on the autism spectrum (as is her Mun!)

I was obsessed with Star Wars when I was a kid but I don't have any of the fic I started about Avery. I don't think it ever ended up on a computer! I haven't been 12 for 20 years. Somewhere in a college ruled notebook....

Obviously this is based on the version of Boba Fett from Tales of the Bounty Hunters and Tales from Jabba's Palace, and not the Boba Fett in the Mandalorian and such.

You might be surprised to hear that he's not a super deep exciting compelling character in those. Or maybe he is because I haven't read it in 20 years but I vaguely remember him being kind of a boring philosophical mouthpiece and not emotional. But there was something interesting to me about the way he insisted on calling his bounties "merchandise" and I thought there had to be something behind that. Also, he has cool armor and 12-year-old me wanted to create a female counterpart who could match him. Then I guess they fell in love for some reason. I also didn't believe in premarital sex at the time which is why they had to get married before they could do it but then I thought it would be really messed up if she got murdered before they could do it because how unfair would that be! You did the good behavior (getting married in the eyes of the force and the Republic. Or the empire or whatever.) and now you can't even do the sex!

But Avery! She was small like me and she was so hardcore and dangerous and she never lost a target. Her old childhood friend tried to get through to her by showing her a book they used to read together that was about vampires and werewolves. She made him leave but it cracked the ice around her heart just a teeny little bit.

And ever since then I've had a string of women OCs who are very tough and powerful and also afraid of sincerity and honesty and love even though they crave it desperately and I'm sure that's got nothing to do with me and is no projection at all definitely.

ETA: I just remembered Avery had a massive vendetta against Boba Fett because the only times she did lose a mark was to him. But finally they got to each other before they got to the mark and decided they had to work together to have a chance of getting him. And that was the start of their beautiful relationship that ended in bloody tragedy. The guy who killed her was a client she did most of her work for but she wanted out so she quit and he wouldn't let her quit so he pretended it was okay and then came in with his elite team and murdered her in her own apartment right after the wedding.

She was very cold to her targets and couldn't be saved by her old friend who reminded her of their childhood. But then she and Boba Fett fell in love and got married. But before they could consummate the marriage, she got murdered by their enemy in front of him! And that's why he's a cold, calculating man who refers to targets as "merchandise" now.

One of the first (if not the actual first) fandom OCs I ever made, he was a very overpowered Naruto OC that was from a powerful clan and also had a demon/beast sealed inside him and it basically made him a catboy as well (An orange-haired catboy...is it obvious what other manga I was into at the time?)

All of you most probably know that I'm a lesbian (because i mention it like all the time xD) but i think I didn't mention that I used to identify as straight till high school. Then I felt really insecure about being heterosexual which I considered "boring and no fun", so I followed my best friend who came out as bi and came out as bi too myself. Now that I'm a lesbian, i could sum up my self discovery process as "slowly losing interest in men over time" 😂

The very first fandom obsession I had was Star Wars! My dad introduced me and it turned out both of us are sci fi freaks. I had this big embarassing crush on Anakin Skywalker, so big I made a literal Anakin shrine in my room and went online as "Ally Skywalker". Even though my obsession faded away at this point, I still enjoy Star Wars, it brings me so much nostalgia and a good laugh when I think about my dumb teen self 😆

I have a yellow belt in aikido (which is like the second level). Now that I abandoned it, I'm considering taking up some other martial art. Or any sports activity to spice up my life in general.

My very first drawing that awakened a shitload of inspiration and imagination in me I owe to my best friend, who introduced me to the concept of OCs. The first OC I created was a pastel goth turquoise haired elven healer named Lienna. Then my creativity went wild and along with my friend, we came up with a whole lore of our own, with many characters and background. I'm considering sharing it online someday.

Before I earned myself some self confidence, I was this little shy insecure potato that would let anyone bully me because I was too afraid to fight back. Until one day when some boy was making fun of me, I turned to him and yelled all the most nasty swear words I knew at his face. Like garbage cunt fucking bitch motherfucker fucked violently in his ass and so on (but in polish so it was even more nasty since we have a lot of various swear words and like, at least five different ways of saying fuck). Then I smiled innocently. His eyes went wide and he dead ass avoided me ever since. I am still proud of myself 😂

I used to be deep in VLD fandom until it all went down to utter shit. Klance still has a special place in my heart though. My current Kiribaku obsession is comparable to my Klance one. But it's even bigger I'd say, since it pushed me to share fanarts online and allowed me to begin a really nice and satisfying part of my life ❤

1. I’m a medieval fencer. Been fencing for 2 years and my main weapon combo is my 43" rapier (sword) and buckler (shield).

2. I love indoor rock climbing, I’m also wanting to try absailing next year.

3. I’m also going to start axe throwing! (First time will be in two weeks for my bday).

4. Aside from drawing fanart I LOVE drawing strange looking mushrooms.

5. I also enjoy photography, mainly focusing on nature or textures.

6. Spirited Away inspired me to start drawing.
