Ain't No Love in Oklahoma
Summary: Tornado wrangler Tyler Owens and his crew find themselves on your farm as a tornado touches down
2.2 k words, nothing crazy.
âWhat a view,â Tyler mused as he looked out at the great country landscape unfolding below him. Oklahoma wasnât known for hills or anything that really detracted from its flat-ness, so finding a spot like this where someone could see a far distance out into the expanse was rare. For storm chasing- it was a downright game changer. Like now, him and his motley crue of chasers there was a dark gray cloud formation starting to look interesting to the north.Â
âDude this is so great. The thumbnails are going to go crazy if we can see one from here,â Boone agreed next to him, already swinging his iPad side to side to try and get it all. The crew of them had just been driving when they saw a break in the fence letting them get closer. Sure it might have been trespassing but who was going to care about them all the way out here?Â
There was a loud crack that split the silence and the ground next to Tyler sent mud flying into his pant leg. He quickly turned.Â
Jesus.Â
You sat perched on top of a brown horse, a few yards away, shotgun balancing on your hip. A wide white cowboy hat on your head covered your features, but he was equally turned on and terrified at the same time.
âYâall got 30 seconds to start moving or the next shot wonât be as friendly,â you called out from your horse. You could see the tallest man chuckle and say something to the shorter one next to him before turning and leisurely jogging to you. What thoughts were running through his head to convince him running towards a woman with a shotgun was a good idea?
âAfternoon maâam! Pardon my crew and I, but I feel like weâve started on the wrong foot,â he said as he got closer. He looked straight out of a magazine cover. Chiseled face, scruff, blonde hair peeking out from his cowboy hat, with a red button down that was one button too unbuttoned. You did feel a pang of guilt for almost hitting him.
âPerhaps we did. I just donât take kindly to trespassers on my property,â you said, swinging your horse to the side so you could face him better. Tyler rubbed his neck. Ah shit.
âThatâs my bad maâam- see weâre storm chasers, weâre always trying to find an edge to get ahead of the next storm or tornado,â he said, gesturing to the darkening sky. You slowly nodded. âMy nameâs Tyler Owens, you mightâve heard of me on Twitch,â he added with a charming smile as he held his hand up for a handshake. You slowly shook his hand, taking in the weird man.
âMy nameâs Y/N. What the hell is a Twitch?â you asked after letting go. He opened his mouth to try and explain, but decided it was fruitless.Â
âWell itâs a pleasure to meet you miss Y/N. Apologies again for stepping into your land, but weâve got the looks of an EF-4 starting out there on the horizon and damn itâs going to be a good one,â he said, turning back to the crew and the sky.Â
âHate to tell you Tyler but we donât get tornadoes out here. Itâs been years,â you said with a nod, but following his eyes to the sky, leaning closer to your horse and patting his neck whether for your own anxiety or his. As if on cue, a rumble of thunder rolled overhead which caused your horse to whinny.Â
âGlobal warming Y/N. Spots in Oklahoma that have never gotten hit before are getting struck. Itâs up to you, but-â he said as he turned back, the clouds getting lower, âIâd get low,â. Rain started to fall in big drops as you tried to think.
âIâve got animals Tyler, I canât handle losing this farm,â you said as you chewed your bottom lip.Â
âMy crew will help. Before we head out,â he said instantly as he started waving to his crew.Â
âITâS COMING TYLER!â Boone shouted, waving the iPad above his head, âITâS A BIG ONE!â. Another roll of thunder went overhead and your horse brayed again, getting antsy. Okay maybe these strangers had a point. Seeing their suped up trucks and RV showed that they either had way too much money and free-time or they could actually be trusted when it came to this stuff. Fuck it donât be stupid.
âGet on, I have to get the cows, but youâll tell me if it gets closer alright?â you stammered over the rain, holding out your hand to Tyler, âtell your guys to head straight for 5 minutes, thereâll be a barn and a house,â. Tyler nodded and relayed the message to Boone as he slowed the truck down passing you. Boone passed a walkie talkie out to Tyler with a nod, and waved politely to you.
âDonât you worry maâam youâve got the best on your side!â he chirped, before peeling out on the truck sending a wave of mud behind him and leaving a large dent in the ground. Best? Tyler sucked air in through his teeth and sheepishly turned back to you. Before you could try to help him up he was already behind you. Obviously not his first time getting on a horse which did catch you off guard. You slung your shotgun over your back as you started heading back to the house. You felt Tyler move closer to you, gripping his hands onto your sides as your tightened your grip on the reins trying not to overthink this. Dammit you can be horny when this is over, not when a tornado is about to come through. It had been a while since any man had been so chivalrous or intriguing to you. The rain started coming down harder, making it tough to see, which only increased the worry in your stomach as you reached the cows.Â
âIâm gonna open the gate, you stay here!â you shouted to Tyler as you jumped down into the muddy grass, before hauling your ass to the wooden gate where the cows were already anxiously pacing by. You unlatched it and swung it open before jumping back onto the horse to start cornering the animals back to the barn. Luckily you only had a handful of cows this season, but it was still tough enough. You shouted over the rain to keep the cows moving and Tyler started doing the same. He turned his head and held a hand up to his forehead to try and get a better view.
âY/N I donât mean to alarm you, but I believe thereâs been landfall,â he said, breathing close to your ear. You wanted to turn and check, but you also knew your job right now was keeping these animals safe.Â
âJust tell me if weâre in danger Tyler,â you shouted back, willing your horse to move faster. By the time you got to the barn a few minutes later the rain had turned into hail. You slid off your horse as you tried to unlock your barn gate, but the adrenaline and water made it hard. Tyler appeared next to you and gently tried his own hand at unlocking the door.Â
âThe lock is 5999!â you shouted, the small number lock keeping the bigger doors shut. You mentally cursed this decision to have it locked at all. Tyler finally got the lock loose and threw the door open. You started pushing and shouting the cows to get inside, where the sides were already shuttering. Tyler grabbed your horseâs reins and brought him inside as well before he ran off in the chaos.
âIs that it?â Tyler asked in the doorway, wind whipping his shirt. You wiped your hands on your jeans to try to focus and dry off before nodding. Tyler suddenly grabbed the shoulders and faced you in the doorway.
âItâs going to be okay Y/N,â he said, locking eyes with you, âwe have to get underground now though,â. You nodded furtively, going back to real life and focusing on the task at hand. Tornado, stay alive. You threw the barn door shut and locked it before grabbing Tylerâs hand and pulling him towards the house. The wind whipped against your face and caused your hat to fly off.Â
âShit!â you screamed as you watched it get blown away in the blink of an eye.
âCome on!â Tyler shouted back, pulling you forward again towards the house. Boone was on the porch holding the door open shouting at the two of you to get in.Â
You two jumped into the house before Boone slammed the door shut behind you. You wanted to lay down and curl up right there, but Tylerâs crew were all trying to ask you if you had a basement or somewhere to hide or somewhere to keep down. Tyler placed his hand on the small of your back to try and help. âHey guys one at a time alright,â he said, quieting the group.Â
âThereâs a basement, itâs not much and I donât know if itâs storm-proof and all that but-â you said as you moved to lift up the small door that was in the corner of the kitchen. There was a dark staircase downstairs and you shouted for everyone to get in. You screamed as the kitchen window bursted in, letting rain and hail into the house. Tyler grabbed your waist and dragged you down into the basement, door slamming shut behind you both. Everyone was huddled in the corner, light illuminating from their phones as they watched the storm overhead, continuing to chatter.
You slumped against the wall and finally took a breath. You felt the presence of someone slide beside you.Â
âHow you feeling?â Tyler asked.Â
âTired. I donât know how you do this for a living,â you laughed as you looked up at him, laying your head on his shoulder.Â
âIâm not sure how I do it either all the time,â he sighed, âbeing able to help people feels good though. Knowing that the more we understand these things the safer the future can be,â he continued.
âNoble,â you remarked.
âWhen Boone isnât recording all of it at least,â he chuckled looking over at Boone who was sure enough recording it all on his phone.
âSo youâve got fans?â you asked.
âLots. Well, okay a fair amount? A million? Saying that to you makes it feel kind of stupid though,â he said.
âWhat do you mean?â you said, âa million is a lot of people watching you, thatâs crazy,â.
âItâs nice and all, but damn. You have it all out here. Alone. Not needing a million people watching you. Just seems nice,â he explained, placing a hand on your knee as he waved his hand during his explanation.
âLonely though. I bet youâre never lonely,â you murmured. He shrugged.
âI have friends, it's hard to keep a lover with this lifestyle though,â he said absentmindedly.
âYeah, I can relate to that,â you said softly, âuhm, if we get out of this tornado thing, Iâll give you my number,â you quickly said, before hiding your face into your shoulder. Ugh what were you a high schooler? You felt his chest rise as he laughed.
âYouâre cute Y/N, and Iâd love to see your farm under less stormy conditions,â he grinned. Your chest fluttered.Â
âIâd love to show you it,â you nodded. The two of you kept chatting as the storm went on for another 30 or so minutes. Luckily the basement did a sufficient job of keeping everyone safe, but you couldnât help but think of the barn and the rest of the house upstairs. You talked about your time growing up in Oklahoma and Arkansas. About how he went to school for meteorology, and how you dropped out of OK State to take care of the property, but you had really wanted to go back later.
âSeems safe guys!â Boone said as he stood up and kicked open the door. The kitchen was still there, and so was the house. You checked out the window, and breathed a sigh of relief to see the barn was still there.
âCut right through- spared your stuff by like 50 yards!â Tyler said, relieved. Seemed like the best case scenario here happening. You helped his crew get set up to head back out and slowly lead the cows back out to their slightly damaged pasture.Â
Tyler stepped into his truck and rolled down the window. You stepped up onto the running board of the truck to get closer. You handed Tyler a post it note with your number scrawled onto it.
âLike I promised,â you said with a smile. Tyler grinned and stuck it to the computer screen in the middle console. He took off his cowboy hat and put it on your head.
âSince you lost yours. Iâll be back for it though,â he said as he moved your hair behind your ear.Â
âAlright tornado cowboy,â you smiled as you stepped down.
âItâs tornado wrangler actually,â he noted before blowing you a kiss and rolling up his window.Â
It was a few hours later when you were finally making dinner when your phone buzzed.Â
Hey Y/N, hope youâre doing well. Sitting at a motel. Wondering what youâre doing.
AN: let me know if anyone wants a one-off of you trying to get divorce papers to your insane storm chaser husband in the middle of the midwest ->(https://www.tumblr.com/strawburry01/756685031316062208/all-yourn-summary-you-visit-your-husband-tyler)

Alois Trancy X Mother Figure F!Reader
Self-indulgent content ahead you've been warned.
Honestly, I have no idea how you did this. Maybe you were looking for a job, or perhaps you stumbled upon his manor during a storm. Either way, you ended up in Alois's service.
It took a bit; he was very cautious around you. (It's been a while since he had a human servant.)
One night, you were behind on your duties and working overtime. You were just outside his door when he screamed in terror.
You ran to his side and found him breathing heavily, staring at the door as if a monster would storm in any second. But it was just you.
Used to looking after children, you acted on instinct. You sat next to him, took him in your arms, and ran your fingers through his hair. In a gentle, hushed tone, you asked, "What's wrong?"
In that moment, he didn't care if you were being fake; he just craved the feeling of being truly looked after. He didn't tell you what the nightmare was about, but from there, it all changed.
Day 1: He clung to you the whole day. (To his butler's astonishment and dismay.)
Day 4: You were to stop calling him "Your Highness." (Calling him Alois was faster anyway.)
Day 6: You lost all duties that didn't involve him.
Day 10: You moved into his room.
Day 15: He promoted you from your former role to his caretaker alongside Claude.
Day 30: You moved into his room.
Day 31: He started settling down, or so it seemed.
Day 90: "Mother! Help me get dressed!" It was a slip-up. He expected a big reaction, but when it didn't come, it became the norm. Other servants don't like the closeness you share but keep their mouths shut... for now...
From then on, Alois became dependent on you to an unhealthy degree.
He doesn't like you disciplining him much, but surprisingly he lets you, as long as it's not physical.
He developed a major co-sleeping issue. He can't help that your arms are so warm.
He won't admit it, but he likes when you actively baby himâwhen you say he's too young to handle something, when you wipe something off his cheek, and so on.
He might act a little more clumsy... not on purpose, of course... He didn't usually cry over a small cut or a scraped knee... well, he certainly changed.
You have your own kids? Great! Now he gets to have siblings again! He has to be the favorite, though.
His favorite activity is always going to be when you sit in the library with him in your lap and read him stories.
You can't heal him, but you help him get better and eventually live a happy life...
[Canon end] You were visiting your family when it happened... you only found the body... The guilt nearly killed you, but you lived through it. You never moved on. The image of the body of a boy you came to love haunts you. The most awful feeling, though, is the fact that you can't feel him. It's like someone or something locked his soul away so that you never can feel his presence again.

FNAF Steampunk AU
That I never finished because I couldn't figure out what was going to be the story and character dynamics, and the role of each character, and yeah⌠I also spend many days writing, rewriting and changing thing, I didn't even get to finish the first draft and I got artblock.
I think my problem in the first place was that I wanted to make this AU stick to canon. A mistake, I know lmao. Later I thought of just making up most of the things but having to rewrite what I had already done dismotivated me.
So I thought of at least showing this character height chart I made a year ago. And maybe, idk, some of the wips that I never finished.
Maybe some notes and interactions I wrote under a cut.
If you ever want to ask me about what I had planned for this AU go ahead! Some main things about this story are:
All of the events of the story happens in a week (or so).
Gregory acts a little more scared than what is shown in the game.
DCAs arms can stretch up to 100 ft (30 m). He bends them to write or make shapes in the air.
Sun has some nowlege in animatronic repairs and maintenance due to being abandonent, having to repair himself.
Vanessa/Vanny have a biger role than in the game.
Burntrap also apeared more.
All animatronics are equiped with dart guns (for safety!). There are some places that require to leave the dart guns behind to continu.
Pizza is scuare (this is not important, I just felt like adding it).
Also, first idea and some doodles.
Edit: Now Cassie is in the AU
Gregory gets to escape to the locker rooms leaving Chica behind him. While searching for an exit Gregory gets surprised by Sun who was searching for him, and out of fright takes out the camera and flashes his bad eye damaging him for a few seconds.
Sun- "you were carring an object capable of blinding animatronics with you and you didn't use it against Chica to escape?!"
Gregory- "I didn't remember! I was more focused on running than taking a camera out of my pocket!"
Sun-pointing at himself with his hands- "And you had to remember when you saw ME?!"
Monty grabs Moon by the neck and throws him like a stick doing a spinning motion on the air, Roxy chases after him. She comes back carrying Moon with her mouth.
Freddy has an existential crisis by seeing endos. Moon is there awkwardly watching him. He gives him a pat on the back.
The auxiliary arm of the protective cylinder is broken, Gregory has to repair Sun manually. Trying to put his face plate back the nose falls off and Gregory nervously catches it juggling. They look between each others and the nose.
Sun-"..." "Gregory"
Gregory-"..."
Sun-"come on, say it"
Gregory-"..." "Got your nose~"
Vanessa is explaining something to the group. Moon is behind her copying her movements. The others are trying not to laugh. She notices and throws a flashlight at Moon.
They divide in groups. Moon gets on Monty's backs like a gremlin.
Moon-"go gator boy"
Monty-"I hate you"
One last, this is a whole scene that needs a bit of context. The current team members are Gregory, Freddy, Sun/Moon. They have figured out that the safe mode prevents animatronics from acting weird/hostile (found out the hard way in an encounter with moon and a fuse box). Though Moon seems not to attack Gregory anymore they wanted to test it with the rest of the band and found Chica, some things happened, they left her in her room in sleep mode and went to roxy raceway. This begins when they head to the west arcade to repair the service bot's head and on their way they encounter Chica out of the sleep mode but more normal.
(Forgive my poor writing, this was more of a script)
The four of them stare at each other until one decides to react.
SunââHELLLLOâ Chicaâ holding her left armââA- Hiii, ummâ Freddyâ âHe-hello Chica! What got you here??â Chicaâ âI-uhâŚpatrol? I- think?? There⌠There is a child lost in the pizzaplex and we were, like- told to go find him, remember?â âActually, wait, why are you out of your room? I thought maintenance put you on lock down- And what is the Daycare attendant doing out of the Daycare? itâs not the end of the hour yet- Oh!ââshe just saw Gregory behind Freedys legsââhey! you got the kid-ââflashback of the garbage compactorââGET HIMââshe points at him with a dart gunâ Sunâgets in the wayââWOAH WOAH WOW easy there!â FreddyââChica- wait! Itâs ok heâs with usâ ChicaââT-that-that kid is a menace! He- we should-HAVE to take him to the officer Vanessaââ Gregoryâ*gasp * Freddy & Sunâ âNO!â Chicaââ????wha-?
Freddyâ âWe must not take him to her.â Chica- âYou guys kidding?â âThese are literal-plain-instructions that you are- just-â âThat kid threw me through the garbage compactor!â GregoryââYou tried to kill me!â Chicaââwhat?! No! I couldnât do that, thatâs against my programming!â SunââUuumm, about that miss-â ChicaââYOUââpoints at Sun with the gunâ Sunââ?!â ChicaââYou were there too!â âYou have been with this kid all this time!â Sunâhands up-âIwastryingtostophimâ FreddyââChica, calm down, I know what this looks like but-â SunââOHMYGOSHWAITGUYS, sheâs not hostile!â Chicaââwha-?â FreddyââwhatâŚ?â Gregoryââwhat??â âSheâs literally pointing at us with a gunâ Sunâstanding next to Chica, pointing at her while looking at Freddy and GregoryââI just noticed! her behavior changed-!â Chicaâredirects the gun to re-target himââyouâre getting too closeâ Sunâignores thatââSheâs back to normal! That means the safe mode worked, we can use this!â
ChicaââWhat are you talking about?â FreddyââYouâre right! Thatâs a reliefâ âright Gregory?â Gregoryââ...Yyyyyeah? I guess, yeahâ Chicaââseriously, what do you all mean?â FreddyââWell, Itâs a little long story-â SunââAnd we will explain it to you!â âBUT not now, we are in a rush!â âTo repair this bot-head so Gregory can ride the racecarâ Chicaââ...â ââyou serious?â Sunââyep!â âSay, Gregory! You still want to ride?â Gregoryââuh-yeahâ SunââThen letâs go!â âTO THE WEST ARCADE!ââgrabs Freddy and Gregory and takes them thereââYou can come if you want~!â Chicaââ...â âOH- GOLLY, WELLâ âI guess Iâll just go with you even though I donât understand what is happening! And no one is going to give me an explanation!â Freddyââ-I promise that Iâll give you a wide explanation once we are done with all this⌠But in a more private placeâ
There are actually a couple more of scenes before this one (and after) but I'm not very confident of showing those (or any actually but I don't want this to be buried in my documents and forgoten because I really want to at least make a decent story)
Also, I know that the canon heights for the animatronics are like 6 ft but I prefered my height variety headcanons. Maaaaaybe they are a little too tall looking at it now that I look at it again but, eh.

âOh, come on Chuck! Thisâll be my second time! You canât keep forcing me to work another 40 years, just to make it to retirement and do it all again! Itâs not yours or my fault that there arenât enough young folk to take over our jobs! Hell, maybe if we paid a bit more, the few of them out there would apply!â
âItâs Lieutenant Roth, Billy. Now go change out of that equipment and take a shower. Whatever this remote does to strip away all those years, it sure does leave a young man ripe!â
âDonât call me Billy! I havenât been Billy in 30 years! Its Bill Damn it! And how am I supposed to explain this, again! to David?! You know heâs not into, well⌠this!â
âPut your shirt down Billy and quit your complaining. Weâre doing something different this time, changing things up, trying something new. See, we couldnât afford to pay higher wages all these years, because weâve been stashing extra money away, for a new program. This remote can do a lot more than just wipe away years, Billy. The company has a whole app-store full of features, but they cost a hell of a lot. We only had enough for 2 new features, and we think itâll really help solve this townâs aging population issue.â
âWha⌠what the hell are you saying? What do you mean, something new?! Chuck, dude⌠youâre seriously starting to crack! What the fuck does any of this have to do with David?! And who is, âWeâ?!â
âIâm only going to tell you this once, son. Itâs Lieutenant Roth. Now, I guess thereâs no beating around the bush with you young-bloods. So Iâll get right to it. âWeâ is me, the Governor, and the Town Board. We investigated every possible fix, and it comes down to this. All the youth are moving out in droves, going to college, or fleeing to the city for excitement, leaving us aging folk to do the hard work around town. With the remote able to take years off a person, weâve decided that all our current retirees, in every department, will be regressed, and the new feature we purchased will ensure you all follow your new, youthful instincts, providing us with a full generational bump in population.
You will be the hot-blooded virile stud you were way back in the day; you remember? Except this time, just as David isnât attracted to this prime of your life look, YOU wonât be attracted to David, or any man for that matter. You see, we need all the help we can get, so with this little app, youâll be chasing pretty women, and will certainly end up settling down, once one of them catches. Ah, by the look on your face, you know exactly what I mean.
Good, because you and the rest of the retirees are going to have your hands full, working these jobs getting paid just enough for a double-wide and a truck, leaving a trail of gals before you settle in with one, and have a whole mess of kids. "
âCh⌠Lieutenant, sir⌠Wha⌠youâre insane dude! Fuckinâ totally cracked! You hear yourself! You canât do this! I canât be⌠I canât chase⌠I donât⌠donât likeâŚ. Fuck⌠fuck dude⌠what the fuck are you doing?! Quit pointinâ that shit at me bro! My.. my head!â
âDonât worry son, Iâll let you off the hook for all that mouthing off. Itâs got to be rough having your brain completely flipped inside out, dumped out and filled with everything you need to be a, productive, member of society. Isnât that right Billy?â
âWha.. Oh, hey Lieutenant! So uh, is it ok if I head off to the showers and hit the road? Kind of a slow night huh sir? If itâd be alright, I want to go down to the Strip and hit the bar. The dudes and I figured weâd start the weekend early, ya know? Gotta get get some tail on lock before the storms hit. Thinkinâ I might run into Becka too, you know, from Thornton Stables? God sheâd look real pretty, all knocked up good nâ proper!â
âOh alright son. Go ahead, take the night off. But youâre on call. Got it! One or two beers, maybe a shot, take some cash and buy the lass one of those fruity drinks, and you treat her like a lady, young man. Got it?â
âGot it Dude! I mean Lieutenant! Iâll make a lady outa her yet! Thanks for the money too! Ya know how rough it is on the townâs wages! Although you and the Board seem to be doinâ alright. I hope I can get to where you are, Sir!â
âDonât worry Billy, youâve got a good 40 years or so to work your way up! Go have fun tonight!â

forever boy | jonathan crane
umm i lowkey did not want to post this because i feel like it's not eating but i hope u guys like thissssss :')
summary: you and jonathan are close friends â he was your brothers best friend so it was bound to happen, after all. however, all you want is to be more than just friends. one night, after a particularly bad date, you drunkenly call jonathan asking him to come pick you up â and you accidentally confess your feelings while you're at it too.
warnings: unspecified age gap (reader is early 20's, jonathan is early 30's), sort of friends to lovers, smut, p in v, oral (f!receiving), general sexual content ahead lol, mdni 18+ only
word count: 3.4k
masterlist
"i don't think i've ever seen you stay with a guy for more than six months." jonathan pointed out teasingly as the two of you sat on his couch alone in his apartment, watching some random horror movie you chose to put on.
"very funny, jonathan." you say sarcastically, reaching over to grab the remote so you could pause the movie. "that doesn't make me feel any better, just so you know."
"you said you broke up with him because you don't care about him." jonathan shrugged. "psychologically speaking, have you ever considered that you may have an avoidantâ"
"oh please," you scoffed, "do not turn this into one of your therapy sessions. psychoanalyze me all you want, but i guarantee you'll be dissappointed."
"i feel like you have a phobia of commitment." he says, sighing as he looked at you through his glasses.
"no, it's not that. it's just â nobody ever kept my attention." you explain, causing jonathan to raise a brow. "they just don't know how to make me...happy."
"i see," he said softly, "have you ever considered that, i don't know, maybe your going for the wrong type of guys?"
"what do you know about love? you're married to your job." you scoff, causing jonathan to chuckle softly.
"fair point," he nods, "but i do happen to study human psychology and behavioural patterns for a living."
recently, you had been spending a lot of time with your brothers best friend â doctor jonathan crane. he'd known jonathan for a good few years, the two of them got along well as they'd met at a conference for medical students when both of them were still in gotham's medical schooling program.
your brother was ten years older than you, meaning that you were currently still in university but your brother had built up a successful career for himself by now. of course, jonathan was just as, if not, more successful, with his name plastered in every article and paper in gotham about the remarkable work he was doing at arkham asylum.
you'd met jonathan while you were still in high school, but you only started to get close with him during your first year of university. one evening, you'd gotten a little too drunk at a frat party with your friends, and ended up calling your brother to come pick you up in your drunken state.
unfortunately, he had informed you that he was just swamped at work â but he would get his best friend, jonathan, to do him a favour and pick you up since he only lived about ten minutes away from the area you were partying at.
when he picked you up, all you could focus on was how handsome he was â why hadn't you noticed this before? not to mention his intoxicatingly blue eyes; how could someone have eyes that blue?!
after that â the two of you had become quite close. suddenly, you were tagging along if your brother and jonathan had plans, and you were also hanging out with jonathan when your brother wasn't around as well.
something just clicked when you two were together, despite him being nearly a decade older than you. the two of you would frequently make plans to meet up, whether that was to get food together or watch movies snuggled up on the couch of his apartment.
just as friends though, of course â he was your brothers best friend. plus, you were sure that jonathan would never see you in that way.
and since you'd been friends for a minute, he knew just what you liked; what made you smile. he'd even see boys come and go, he knew what made you cry. though he'd never say it aloud â he wanted to be the one to treat you right.
"what time is it?" you asked.
jonathan checked his watch, "quarter to seven." he replied, making you groan as you got up from his couch. "where are you going?"
"home," you sighed, "i have a date tonight â nate's picking me up at nine."
"you just broke up with your boyfriend two weeks ago, and you have a date already?" he asked with surprise, and you rolled your eyes as he got up with you.
"yes, so what? i told you that two month relationship meant nothing to me anyway." you shrugged, and jonathan looked at you with concern as he grabbed his car keys off the kitchen counter. "spare me the judgement please, jonathan."
jonathan always drove you â even though you had your own license and car, he insisted. "i'm not judging you, i just don't want you to get hurt." he said with a sigh, and for a moment, he almost sounded disappointed.
"i wont." you assured him as the two of you drove back to your home. since you were still in university, you lived at home with your parents, and it had become a routine. he'd pick you up, and sometimes you'd even stay overnight at his place â as if friends do that.
"okay, well," he said with a sigh, parking on your driveway, "just promise me you'll call me if you need anything."
"i will. i know you're working an overnight shift so i can just call my brotherâ"
"just call me, i'll answer." he said softly.
when jonathan told you that, you felt your cheeks heat up and your heart start to beat rapidly. you smile and nod, waving goodbye as he drove off, leaving you at home again. as you rushed upstairs to start getting ready for your date â a feeling of overwhelming dread consumed you.
you were always defensive and deflective anytime anyone asked about your commitment issues. you knew the root cause: it was jonathan. the reason nobody could ever keep your attention was because you were already too focused on someone else â your brothers best friend.
you went on date after date, dated guy after guy, only to break their hearts months (and sometimes even just weeks) later. you were a professional at delivering the whole "it's not you, it's me" speech. you were sure that at some point, someone would help you get over jonathan.
but nobody ever did.
however, that all changed after your date with some guy named nate from your class had gone poorly. he was very clearly into you, however you on the other hand, were not into him at all. your mind was doing that thing again.
you know, the thing where your thoughts were consumed with jonathan and jonathan only â thoughts of what he was doing right now. how was work going for him? your mind was spinning as you daydreamed what it would be like to be the one he'd come home to every night, after a hard day.
"did you hear what i asked?" nate's voice cut through your thoughts, and you looked up at him as you mindlessly swished the clear liquor in your martini glass.
"oh, m'sorry â no." you say in a bored manner, making no attempt to conceal your disinterest.
"whatever," nate sighed, clearly frustrated with your lack of interest for the last hour over drinks, "enjoy your night, i guess."
he places a fifty on the bar top, grabbing his phone and wallet before heading out of the bar you were in. you made no attempt to stop him, and instead, you order another martini for yourself as you let the liquor stir inside of you.
tonight, you felt like you'd hit a dead end. when were you going to learn that this would never work? when would you come to terms with the fact that another guy wouldn't fill the jonathan shaped void in your heart?
reaching into your purse, you grab your phone and put it up to your ear as you heard the dial tone.
"hello?" jonathan's voice spoke from the other end of the line.
"jonathan, hey," you said softly, "i'm sorry for calling, i know you're busy at work right nowâ"
"do you need me to come pick you up?" he asked, interjecting you and your tipsy apology.
"i-i can call my brother, it's fine. i don't even know why i calledâ" you said, suddenly feeling very choked up.
jonathan's tone went from casual to concerned in a matter of seconds as he heard you sniffling from the other end of the line. "are you okay? where are you? i'm leaving right now."
maybe it was the gin or maybe it was the harboured feelings you'd been denying for the last year â perhaps both â but all you wanted to do was drunkenly cry and confess the way you felt for him.
screw being just friends, right?
after telling jonathan the address, you let the liquor do the talking. "jonathan?" you asked, to which he hummed over the line, "i just â i have feelings for you."
as you let out your slightly drunken confession, you hang up the phone before he had a chance to respond, throwing back the rest of your martini as you made your way outside. the weather in gotham tonight was miserable, rain pouring down heavily as the night sky was glum.
this was not your best moment â but when jonathan heard your little confession, his cold heart melted a little. even if it took a little liquid courage to get there, then so be it â he'd finally got conformation that you felt the same.
you weren't sure how long you were stood outside in the parking lot of the bar, letting the rain pour down on you dramatically, but you started to shiver. of course you did â you were in heels and a dress, and now, you were soaked from head to toe.
suddenly, you heard your name being called out and you looked to your left to see a familiar car parked, with a familiar man in a suit and glasses rushing over to you. "what are you doing out here? it's pouring." jonathan said with concern, taking his suit jacket off and immediately placing it around you. "come on, i'll take you back to my place â i took the night off of work."
"why?" you ask suddenly, making jonathan raise a brow.
"what do you mean why? just â get in the car, it's pouring." he asked with confusion, but you continued to argue.
"how long are you going to keep pretending were just friends?" you choke back a sob, and he looks at you with concern once more. "friends don't â fuck, friends don't do what we do!"
"how drunk are you?"
"i'm not even that drunk!" you exasperate, "i just wanted an excuse to call you!"
"of course i don't think of you as a friend!" he exclaimed, "but you're out with a new guy every month!"
"because i was scared of telling you how i felt. i only ever wanted you!" you exclaimed back, tears streaming down your face as you were both intoxicated and vulnerable.
as soon as he noticed your tears, he stepped closer to you in the pouring rain, letting it soak you both. his hand suddenly reached up to cup your face gently, "why on earth wouldn't you just tell me?"
"you're my brothers best friend. and were friends, i just figuredâ"
"what if i don't want to be just friends?" he asked as you blinked your tears away. "haven't you noticed the way i look at you whenever you're around? the way i would drop anything to be there for you, no questions asked?"
everything was happening so fast, from your drunk confession to letting out a year of pent-up emotions â but it didn't matter anymore. you'd fallen for him and now, it was clear that he had fallen for you too.
"then fuck being just friends." you whispered.
within seconds, his lips came crashing down on yours as the gotham rain poured down on the both of you in the parking lot. alcohol was coursing through your veins, but now, so was adrenaline. you weren't sure how it all happened â but in the midst of a big, blurry mess, you ended up in jonthan's bed sharing sloppy, hungry kisses together.
his touch was gentle â loving â and you melted into it. carefully, he slipped your soaking dress off, and you tried not to cower under his gaze. those blue eyes of his had such an effect on you, and he smiled softly as he tried to ease your nerves.
"we don't have to do this â just tell me to stop and we can." he whispered lovingly, gently playing with your hair. "i don't want you to feel pressured since you've been drinking."
"i want to do this jonathan," you insisted, feeling a cocktail of emotions bubbling all at once, "i just really care about you. about us â i don't want to...screw things up between you and me."
"i know," he whispered, "but i promise, nothing will change between usâ"
"i've had feelings for you for a long time." you said suddenly. "if we do this, i need to know you're serious."
he hummed softly in acknowledgement and placed a soft kiss on your lips. "ever since last year, when we started to hangout alone. just us..." he trailed off, admiring every detail of your pretty face. "i couldn't stop myself from falling for you."
"god, jonathan. you're such a sappy romantic deep down." you teased lightly, making him smile. "and all this time i thought you were in love with your job."
"well that," he said softly, "but i fell in love with you too."
your breath got caught in your throat as the words fell from his lips. not to mention your heart started to race about a million miles a minute. all this time you'd been harbouring your feelings for jonathan â he'd felt the same.
"i-i fell in love with you too," you confess, rambling on innocently, "s-sorry, i feel like i'm making things so awkwardâ"
he cuts you off with a kiss, his hands now resting on your hips as his thumbs started to rub soothing circles onto your skin. "relax, sweetheart," he whispered, "just lay back for me. let me show you how much i love you."
slowly, he started to pepper kisses down your stomach and thighs, making you squirm a little under his feather light touch. his hands came to paw at the waistband of your underwear, and if you weren't red in the face before â you definitely were now.
"are you comfortable?" jonathan asked softly, his icy blue eyes piercing through yours as he looked up at you from between your thighs. "is this okay?"
the sight was driving you to the brink of insanity, and with a desperate nod, you look down at him nervously. "y-yeah, just a little nervous." you admitted with honesty.
"have you ever...?" he raised a brow, his breathing slightly ragged.
"y-yeah, no i have before," you say as your heart raced, "i-it's just â it's you."
"what does that mean?"
"you...make me nervous." you say with pink cheeks, nervously giggling as his fingers toyed with the lace of your panties.
"like i said before," his voice dropped several octaves as he slid your underwear down your legs, "let me ease your nerves, darling."
you barely had a chance to react before his hands were gripping at your thighs, and his tongue was licking a fat stripe up your soaked cunt. your head fell back onto the pillows as every pent up anxious thought suddenly left your body, the only thing coming out of your mouth being breathless moans.
as your eyes rolled into the back of your head, he ate you out like his life depended on it â the man was gifted with the knowledge of anatomy, after all. he knew a few things.
his tongue continued to lick all around your dripping folds, lapping up your arousal as you fell apart from his touch. as he took your clit into his mouth, you let out a strangled moan. you could feel him smirk against your cunt when you moaned â which turned you on more if that was even possible.
"j-jonathan," you moaned feverishly, "i-i'm so closeâ"
"yeah, are you?" he asked with a muffled voice, face still buried in your cunt, "come on, darling, let me taste all of you."
as he worked his skillful tongue in your hole, your back arched and his name started to fall from your lips over and over again like a chant. you swore you started to see stars from the way he was eating you out, devouring your body as if you were something to be cherished. to be worshipped.
as you came on his tongue, jonathan lapped up every last drop of you, sparing no mercy as he continued to lick every part of your pussy even after you'd came.
"s'too much," you whined, "but i need you inside of me, jon."
he finally pulled away from your puffy, needy little hole, wiping his lips and chin with his suit sleeve. he tossed his suit jacket onto the floor in a rush, and you were holding back moans as you watched him undress.
it felt like an eternity (forty-five whole seconds), but he got undressed as he positioned himself between your spread legs. how's that supposed to fit?! you thought to yourself, watching in awe as his thick cock leaked pre cum from the tip.
"take a picture, it'll last longer." he teased, causing you to scoff.
"shut up, i didn't think you'd be...so b-big." you managed to choke out, cheeks burning.
"so, what i'm hearing is that you've thought about us having sex before."
"oh my god, shut â mmph!" as you were about to dish out something back, he pushed his throbbing cock into your cunt without warning, catching you off guard as he split you in two.
"you were saying?" he cooed mockingly, moving his hips gently as you adjusted to his size.
"mm, fuuuckâ" you moaned, unable to comprehend his teasing as he fucked you deliciously with his fat cock.
"awe, how cute," he cooed, "you're already cockdrunk. what a needy little thing you are, hm?"
he suddenly took hold of your hips, pulling you closer as he fucked you faster, deeper â harder. you let out a strangled, choked moan as his cock hit all the right places inside of you, rubbing against that spongy spot as he fucked you closer and closer to your release.
jonathan groaned through gritted teeth, trying not to lose his sanity as he felt your warm, wet, hole clench around his cock. "fuck, you're so tight â perfect fucking pussy."
"a-ah, you feel, fuuck â so good, jonathan. right thereâ!"
"right there, darling?" he asked, emphasizing his words by snapping his hips into you harsher each time, "you like it when i fuck you like this? when i turn you into a desperate little whore, is that it?"
"yes, f-fuck y-yes!" you whine breathlessly, your mind going blank.
"i bet you love getting your pussy stretched like this, don't you?" he cooed with faux sympathy, "you love getting ruined by me."
"m-mhm!" you agree mindlessly, barely able to focus on his words with the way he was brutally pounding your cunt. "l-love you, jon."
"oh fuckâ look at you pretty girl. so ruined and so fucking eager to please me." he growled lowly, watching you fall apart underneath him as you took his cock deeper. "god, i love you too â and i love watching you turn into nothing but a little fucktoy for me."
his degrading words didn't match with the saccharine tone that managed to slip through his voice. but you were too fucked out and ruined to put two and two together.
"come on my cock, darling." he commanded softly, feeling your cunt fluttering around his cock. "come for me."
his words pushed you over the edge, and within seconds, you were babbling incoherently again as he fucked you senseless. you couldn't process your thoughts â your brain short circuiting as your release washed over you.
the sight of you getting fucked dumb by him was enough to make jonathan come on the spot, and as you came all over his cock, he was filling your cunt with his warm seed. he let out a low, gravelly moan as he painted your walls white with his cum, and you wrapped your arms around him in an attempt to keep him close.
after the both of you caught your breath in the now oddly quiet bedroom in his apartment, he let out a breath as he winced, pulling out of you.
"so does this mean were just friends?" he joked, pulling you into his arms as you scoffed. "kidding â you're forever mine now, darling. don't you ever forget it."

MISSION: LOVE KILL ᥣđŠ [trailer]
pairings: Simon 'Ghost' Riley & fem!reader
synopsis: the trailer to my very first full-length series set in a soulmate AU.Â
pairings: (applies to future parts) angst, smut, fluff, mutual pining, misunderstandings, rivals to lovers to rivals, featuring Ghost's inability to communicate, graphic mentions of violence, might hint to sexual violence, BARELY PUT TOGETHER, torture, one bed trope, i-will-wait-for-you trope, loving-you-is-like-breathing trope, slowburn (unless I get bored and rush this), poor poor attempt in crack, will add more as we go on
The subtle searing pain on the back of his neck is enough reason for Ghost to hate the idea of soulmates existing. It wasnât just the fact that he has lived up to his 30s feeling like a fire wasp is buzzing under his skin, it was that the government fully developed their system with pairs in mind. You mean to tell him that he has to have found his partnerâwhoâs probably cities or even continents awayâjust so that he could fucking own property? Utter fucking bullshit, he calls it.Â
âNutjobs! The lot of themâ
It was also the fact he had to watch his mumâs so-called soulmate almost beat them up to death each day. How could someone whose single purpose in life is to torment them be his motherâs soulmate? Fate either has a weird take on the concept of love and the whole shenanigan or itâs fucking wicked. Either way, the S-word has left a bad taste in his mouthâand memory. He would rather die, not having propertyâor anything reallyâto his name if it means that he wouldnât comply to the fucking standards of pairs.Â
Or so he thought because, once again, life is fucking wicked like that.Â
When he first broke the news that he would be retiring from the army, he expected his future days ahead full of smooth-sailing lounging. Maybe a cup of tea in hand or even some biscuits if he was feeling fancy. Imagine his shocked face when he inquired with a real-estate agent to finally have something to call home, no longer needing to stay by some cheap hotel with what his little pay could afford, that he cannot fucking do that!Â
âYeah, this would be good. Really nice stuff here,â Ghost gruffs. âYeah? Well, letâs get started then. Um, here are the paperworks that you need to fill out. Uhh, you just need to input your government code and your partnerâs. It is policy that you bring your pair in with you when it comes to legal documents, but Iâm sure that we could make an exception for our veteran here,â the agent smiles; one that Ghost did not reciprocate. âI ainât got a missus with me. Havenât found them yet.âÂ
It was a simple explanation, not wanting to dwell too much on his reasons. Before he could even take the papers in his hand, the man retracts. Confusion etched on Ghostâs face while pity is on the manâs. âOh, I am really sorry but you are legally required to have a partner before you could own propertyâor anything for that matter.â Ghost looked this agent for a good few minutes, anticipating the âsikeâ that he desperately wishes to hear but only dead silence echoes. âSurely you could, say, make an except for a veteran?â he nervously chuckles out, trying to weasel his way into a fucking home. Nothing. Dead fucking silence thatâs heavy with pity. Ghost loathes it.
Without even saying a word, he turns his back and starts walking towards the car he rented today, because you canât even own a car in this government! He should have flagged it as weird when the lady in the car shop insists that he should rent first before buying something. So, now he sits in the dingy bar that Soap has dragged him into after he informed the force that he would not be settling anytime soon. After explaining his circumstance, he expected them to react like he did before, but no. They all replied like they knew this. Even saying stuff like, âyou didnât know?â Of course he didnât! It wasnât like Ghost was invested in property or anything for that matter while he was serving. All he cared about was surviving each day, and that is it.Â
âAye, cheer up, lad. Life ainâ that bad. Yaâ just gotta get them lassie, and all yer problems would go away,â the Scot on his right drunkenly offers adviceâa shit one at that. Did he really think Ghost hasnât stepped foot on every land they got deployed with heavy hopes that heâll find whoever he needs to find there? He fucking hates it here. He should have not retired this early if he knew this would happen. Now he needs to go around the world and search for the lassie whose presenceâor her lack thereofâis the root of all his problems.Â
If finding a needle in a haystack is hard, imagine finding a lady thatâs probably moving countries as he speaks with Soap. âYeah, like thatâs fucking easy,â he scoffs, rolling his eyes before lifting his mask just enough to down his shot of whiskey. The fiery burn of the alcohol down his throat is nothing compared to the one on his neck. He would rather have it cut at this point than to go on about this miserable lifetime any longer.
âShould I just cut and peel it off?â he mumbles to no one in particular; probably to Fate if that shit is listening. Seeing that no one else in the rundown bar is really paying attention to him, Soap takes the honour in replying to him instead. âAccording tae what Iâve seen, jobby pain is hee haw compared tae th' pain ye will feel in yer heart. Doctors say that th' pain goes tae th' heart instead while triplingâ. Unprompted, Ghost curses like a fucking sailor. Saying stuff that will probably get him on the government's watchlist if he wasnât part of the military serving this goddamn country. He risks his life daily and this is what he gets? Ungrateful bastards.
With a slam of the glass on the mahogany table, he stands up with a new profound determination. âFuck it, Iâm finding that missus if itâs the last thing that I doâ. âEyy, thatâs the spirit, matie,â Soap drunkenly encourages him, which should have been the first red flag on this idea. Any idea supported by Soap is an immediate botch.
Well, what could go wrong? Heâs retired anyway.Â
Turns out, many could go wrong. Well, hereâs to the fucking shit-show of his life.

Crush
Pairing: Joel Miller x f!Reader
Summary: âThe door opened and you turned toward it out of impulse. The man that was suddenly in front of you was Tessâs age, you guessed. Dark hair greying, sleeves of his denim button down rolled up to the elbows, faceâŚmean. Joel Miller in the flesh.â
Warnings: Smut (18+ MINORS DO NOT INTERACT), age gap (reader is late 20s/early 30s, Joel is canon typical age), p in v sex, fingering, oral (m and f receiving), kinda mean!Joel, degradation, praise kink, orgasm denial/edging, I will sprinkle in queer Tess. If I missed anything please let me know!
Soundtrack: Crush by Ethel Cain
Joel had a problem with saying no.
He knew it made him seem soft, but he just couldnât get it out. There was something about becoming a father that increased the negative connotation of the word; using it as a response meant hampering the needs of someone who trusted you. Or the wants. And it was always the wants he fell victim to. Sarah knew his weaknessesâshe was his biggest one. A goldfish, extra dessert, a slumber partyâ âSure, darlinâ.â
Sarah was all he cared about, and heâd give her everything she ever wanted, even when it meant looking like a pushover.
But his window had passed; all will to live drained and replaced by pure survivalism. He pretended to get over it out of instinct, willing himself to push everything down in order to keep going.
He didnât mind saying no anymore. He had nobody to say it to, anyway.
Maybe that made him a bad man.
~~~
You had befriended Tess by chance. She frequented the same spots you didâspeakeasies and back allies, surrounded by men she wanted nothing to do with.Â
At least you had that much in common with her.
Tess was older than you by maybe twenty years, and you knew nearly nothing about her. You knew her name, you knew what she did to get the extra rations she kept in her front pocket, and you knew she lived with Joel Miller. You had never pried about their relationship, and all you knew of Joel was that he was as gorgeous as his reputation was mean.
She had the tendency to be hot headed, there was no doubt that she could be rough, although you felt her fire was what drew you to her in the first place. Another person who had lost everything obviously wasnât inaccessible, but it helped that she was one of the few women that you had seen around. When she had thrown a punch so hard it nearly shattered her hand, you grabbed her and walked her home while she stumbled along with you.
No matter how watered down the whiskey in the QZ was, enough of it would do the trick.
âYou ok?â You grabbed her by the waist, catching her before she fell, distracted by the blood on her knuckles. You didnât know if it was hers or the man whose bottom tooth she had loosened.
âGuys here are as bad as fucking raidersâŚâ She mumbled, looking down at her feet. âCouldâa walked home myself.â You knew she couldâve, but the thought of letting her stagger home by herself so close to curfew made you uneasy.Â
Some things never change.Â
âDidnât want you to,â You kept walking, one stride ahead of her at all times. âCouldâve been dangerous.â
âThey know not to fuck with me,â she was giggling now, and she looked almost girlish with her features softened. âLiving with Miller has its perks.â
âWouldnât want your boyfriend having to exact revenge just cause I let you walk home drunk.â
âWhat?â Tess stopped walking.
âArenâtâsorry, are you and Joel notâ?â
Tess snorted, âJoel and I are not an item. I donât, yâknow. Heâs not my type.â She had sobered almost instantly. âI like my partnersâŚfeminine.â
Oh. Oops.
âSorry.âÂ
âDonât be. We get it a lot. Easy living with each other cause weâre the only two that know how to empathize with the other.â She started walking again, leaving you with space to catch up. You didnât inquire further about what she meant, it wasnât something anybody wanted to discuss, ever. Loss and death were everywhere, there was no need to reflect on past experiences. Especially with someone like Tess who, in all honesty, intimidated you mightily. You just jogged to meet her pace.Â
You followed her into the building, not that you could really explain why.
She had pushed the door open and motioned to you, silently telling you to come into what once couldâve been passed off as a $3,000/month studio apartment. She dropped her belongings on the kitchen table, getting two glasses and pouring watered-down sambuca into each one. You hated the taste, but appreciated that she seemed to genuinely want to spend time with you.
âYou remember anything?â She prompted after finishing her drink.
âWhat?â You had barely touched yours. The anise flavored booze had a different burn than whiskey.
âBefore.â
âI was little. I remember seeing Attack of the Clones. And that Scooby Doo movie.â
âI was in my thirties when those came out,â she laughed, âI fucking loved Scooby Doo.â You found yourself laughing along with her. She deadpanned after a moment, examining you.
âYouâre still young. Not fair to you to have seen all that as a kid.â
âI guess. But I didnât think episode two was all that bad.â You tried to laugh through the sudden solemnity. Tess rolled her eyes and smiled, shaking her head as she reached for the bottle to refill her glass.âBut itâs not fair that anybody had to see any of that. Ever.â You could hardly call yourself eloquent, but she knew what you meant.
âWhat are you doing here?â She took smaller sips of her drink this time.
âSame thing as you.â
âWhy?â
You didnât know. âGotta do something.âÂ
She nodded, âI want you with me.â
âTess, Iâm flatteredâI am, but I donât, I meanââ
âI want you to work with me.â She smiled into her glass, amused by your flustered response.
Oh. Oops.
âOh. I...mean, ok. Yeah, ok.â
The door opened and you turned toward it out of impulse. The man that was suddenly in front of you was Tessâs age, you guessed. Dark hair greying, sleeves of his denim shirt rolled up to his elbows, faceâŚmean.
Joel Miller in the flesh.
âJoel.â Tess was stern.
âWhatâs this?â Joelâs voice sent a shiver down your spine. You realized you had never spoken to him, never been spoken to by him. Youâd only ever gawked from across the room. You felt yourself straighten your posture.
âBusiness. New teammate.â Tess took another sip from her glass.
Joel walked across the room, grabbing the liquor bottle and taking a swig from it before placing it back into a cabinet. He looked at you, giving you the up-and-down from where he stood at the counter.
âNo.â He turned, walking into the bedroom.
Wide-eyed with concern and embarrassment, you looked at Tess.Â
âBe here at nine tomorrow. PM.â She said, finishing her drink and getting up to take her place on the couch.
You let yourself out.
It was obvious when you arrived the following night that Joel was still irked by your presence. Also obvious was that Tess had made him swallow his pride. She gave you your instructions at the kitchen table while you nodded along. Joel was statuesque and showed no signs of emotion or consideration towards her words.Â
And when Tess had explained that it would be you and Joel and only you and Joel, your brows furrowed and he still hadnât budged.Â
âIâve gotta be here,â she dictated, words coming out slowly as though she was speaking to children, âDonât need all of us gone, itâd be too much attention. Iâll cover.â
âI can cover.â You blurted out, suddenly nervous about being alone with Joel.
âNo.â Joel spoke for the first time all night. You shrunk back into yourself and kept listening.
ââInto the sewer, out to the east, all we need is booze, maybe some pharmaceutical shit if you can grab any.â
You probed, âPharmaceuticals?âÂ
âFor us.â Tess had finished giving you the rundown, getting up from the table and walking into the bedroom, leaving you alone with Joel.
Saying nothing, he immediately started towards the door, leaving you to follow.
~~~
Contrary to popular belief, the sewers were not your ideal hang out. No matter how many times you went down there, it took days to scrub the feel and smell off of your body. If Joel cared about the dank surrounding, he didnât show it.
When you popped the grate to crawl out, he moved to lift you slightly, but that was the only interaction youâd had on your journey. You wanted to get this over with, desperately wanted to be back in the company of anybody you could converse with. You made quick work of collecting what you needed and making your way back into tunnels below. Joel hadnât said a word since he had objected to you taking watch, and you didnât know why that bothered you so much; plenty of people didnât speak to you, and you relished in it. You could walk around the QZ and not a soul would approach youâit was safer that way. Easier, too. But Joelâs silence made your head spin almost as much as his voice did. You kept looking at the way his biceps flexed under his shirt, the stern look on his face and the scar on his right temple.Â
Despite his cold exterior, you felt at ease in his presence. Sure, his domineering attitude was somewhat troubling to you, but his lack of emotions made you feel less paranoid. You werenât as preoccupied with looking over your shoulder as you wouldâve been otherwise thanks to his presence, and the gun slung over his shoulder acted as additional reassurance. If anything were to happen, you doubted heâd have any trouble dealing with it.
Maybe the smell of the sewer was making you delirious. Or maybe you were experiencing a genuine attraction to himânot that you expected a man that wouldnât speak to you to feel any sort carnal desire for you. Even so, you found your mind wandering on the route back to the QZ; you could imagine him smoking the cigarettes your grandfather used to buy, Marlboro reds that he kept in a silver case. The thought of a cigarette hanging between Joelâs lips made you shiver, though you tried to tell yourself you were just cold from the clammy tunnels. You tried to hide the curious looks you shot at him, the way you studied his hands and thought up reasons as to why they would be so calloused. It couldâve been from the work he did now, but the thought of him pre-outbreak, working with his hands in the heat, wiping the sweat that dripped down his forehead...
You heard a clang somewhere along the route. Looking up, you could make out a shadow growing larger, then smaller. An unmistakable clicking followed.Â
Perhaps it was due to the unexpected encounter, or the daydreams still playing in the back of your head, but you found yourself frozen. If you could think straight, it would be embarrassing, but every noise was deafening, and you could feel your heartbeat in your skull.Â
And then you were on the floor. Joelâs full weight pinning you down before he rose up again and two shots rang out. You tried your best to regain your composure, blinking rapidly and staring into nothing. Joel looked down at you, face painted with his routine grimace only inches away from your own.
âThis,â he breathed heavily, voice frayed, âis why I said no.âÂ
But he waited for you to get up and brush yourself off before he kept walking.
âYouâre a fuckinâ amateur.â He continued homewards.
~~~
You went with Tess after that. Nobody gave you an explanationâyou didnât need one. You had fucked up, made more apparent by the dismay painted on Joelâs face at your continued appearances in the apartment. You couldnât bring yourself to look at him, let alone speak to him, maybe attempt to apologize. He didnât want to hear it; you knew as much as he did. You couldnât even crawl back like a guilty dog with your tail between your legs, because you knew youâd just get swatted by the morning paper. And, worse, despite the obvious friction, Joel was constantly on your mind. It was humiliating that a man who never spoke to you could be the focal point of your private moments. You thought of his hands entirely too often, his name slipping out between hushed gasps in the darkness of your bedroom.
Your breaking point was the night you walked into the apartment, opening the door to barking laughter that ceased on his end the moment you crossed the threshold. It was purposeful, the way he drew his mouth into a frown as soon as your line of sight had connected. Scowling, his eyes followed you. You felt heat rise in your face and pool in your stomach.
You scowled back. You wouldnât endure his attitude anymore.Â
It went on like that for weeks. You figured that if you got under his skin heâd crack, forcing him to interact with you on a higher levelâeven if it was shouting at you.Â
Joel Miller was a bad man, a mean man. You knew as well as anybody, and it pissed you off as much as it turned you on.Â
~~~
You had let yourself into the apartment, flipping through an old magazine to pass the time you spent waiting for Tess.
When the door opened, your gaze met Joelâs. You turned back to skimming a story about Ewan McGregor, brows furrowed as you internally questioned what had happened to him in all this.Â
You started the countdown for the game you were playing: Who would break first? You glanced up once or twice to see where Joel was, and he remained in the same spot in front of the doorway, dark eyes fixed on you. You crossed your legs.
âTess isnât here.â He spoke, and you stopped your countdown, congratulating yourself as tonightâs winner.
âI know.â
âSheâs not coming.â
âIâm reading.â You turned the page, eager to read about who was dating who in August of 2000.Â
Joel stayed in his spot by the door before making his way to the liquor cabinetâwhich you had discovered were most of the cabinets in this house. He put a glass in front of you and sat across, a glass of his own in his hand as he leaned forward to put his weight on the table.
âJared Leto and Cameron Diaz.â You mused. Joel tipped back his glass, glaring at you. âDo you ever wonder if any of these people are still out there somewhere?â
âNo.â
âImagine killing some infected schmuck and realizing it was Ryan Gosling.â You smiled, enjoying your one-sided conversation. âIâd feel kinda badâŚâ
ââLeast youâd be puttinâ him out of his misery.â
You looked up, surveying Joel, trying to find a trace of anything that couldâve prompted his sudden embrace of your goading. âUhuh,â you raised an eyebrow, âjust donât think I could do it.â
âYou scared?â
âOf you?â
âOf surviving.â
âNo. Just of an infected Ryan Gosling.â You put down the magazine. âWhatâs your problem, Miller?â
âWhatâs yours?â
âI donât have a problem.â
âThen neither do I.â He got up to refill his glass, and you had dĂŠjĂ vu, recalling how Tess had sat you down at the table months earlier to invite you into their professional lives. She had been much friendlier even then than Joel ever was.Â
âYou canât fight for shit.â You turned to see Joel leaning against the counter, a bottle of whiskey in hand. You tried not to let your frustration at him show. âHard to get good at this shit when you freeze at the first sign of trouble.â
âShut up.â You brushed him off. You picked up the magazine again, trying to find your place.
âYou know Iâm right.â He drank from the bottle. For some reason you couldnât stop yourself from standing up and facing him.
âWhat?âÂ
âYâknow you canât fight for shit. Couldnât to save your own life. You know that. I know that. Whyâdâya think Tess always goes with you?â He put the bottle down and crossed his arms. Wrath boiled in your chest; you wanted to rationalize, tell yourself that he was mad you were winning the game he made you start playing so he opted to hit below the belt; but, Jesus, he had gotten you where it hurt. You had long prided yourself in having the ability to survive, taking care of yourself and doing whatever it took for you to see the next day. For him to waltz into the space you had found some form of comfort in, where Tess drank with and felt for you, to imply that you were a failureâjust some fucking kid with a knife?
You put as much weight behind the punch you threw towards him as you could muster, aiming at for his face in the hopes that a black eye might help him register your dedication to staying alive. He barely moved, grabbing your wrist to stop any real strength your blow mightâve had.
âYou can do better.â Joel provoked you further. You were breathing hard but not heavy, staring into the eyes of the man you wished you could see for the evil everybody said he was. âDo better.â He continued. You grabbed him by the collar, nose to nose; you could smell the liquor on his breath, and you were sure he could smell it on yours. You were far from drunk, and the seething anger sobered you more than a cold shower ever could.
So you had no excuse for kissing him, which is probably why it was a quick peck, testing the waters and feeling as though you owed it to yourself as much as to him to see if this was one-sided.Â
âThatâs better.â He snaked an arm around your waist and cupped the opposite hand over the back of your head. You didnât say a word, barely breathed at his response, before you attached yourself to him again. You forgot all about testing the waters and immediately dove in; you kissed him with an open mouth, tongue, teeth and all. He licked into you, pulling you in closer. He separated from you to speak.
âBed.â Forever and always a man of few words. You stumbled over each other as he pulled you towards the bedroom, neither of you bothering to say anything else as you were pushed onto the bed. Joel straddled your chest, looking down at you and undoing his belt, brown eyes blown out with complete exasperation and lust.Â
âYâbeen botherinâ me since day one,â he pulled his cock from the confines of his jeans, âbad fuckinâ attitude.â He stroked himself, still looking at you.
âDoesnât seem to be bothering you now.â You taunted him, reaching up to wrap both hands around him and sitting up as best you could to lick across the tip of his cock. He pushed his hips forward and you took the initiative to swallow as much of him as you could; no small feat, considering his size. You managed half before you gagged. He just laughed.Â
âGonna be quiet âround me, might as well put yourself to good use while youâre doinâ it.â He threw his head back as you licked circles over the head of his cock, hand working every inch you couldnât push past your gag reflex. You made a noise in response to his words, though it was unclear if you meant it as an agreement or a rebuttal. You pulled yourself off of him, placing a kiss on the vein that ran up the underside of his cock. You looked up at Joel, content with your work, his breathing heavy. His hand came up to your jaw, prying your mouth open and sliding his thumb inside. You closed your lips around it and sucked, you heard him groan. He took his thumb out after a few more seconds.
âOpen.â He placed his wet thumb on your chin. You opened wide, sticking out your tongue slightly, expecting him to give you his cock again. Instead, he spit directly into your mouth, before pressing on your lower jaw to force it closed. âSwallow.â You did as you were told. He shuffled himself further down your body, leaning down to kiss you, pushing his tongue between your lips before he continued moving downwards; he pulled the buttons of your flannel apart, kissing and sucking on the skin he revealed before licking over the burgeoning bruises. You thanked whatever God was out there that you had given up bras so long ago, as if it was all in anticipation of this moment. Joelâs mouth reached the waistband of your jeans, and he continued placing open mouthed kisses over your stomach as he undid your button and fly, pulling the fabric down your legs and revealing your panties. He bent forward into you, pressing his face into your clothed core, his nose and open mouth fanning hot breath across you.Â
âNeed a good lay.â You werenât sure if he was talking about you or himself, though he answered your silent question soon after; âThatâll keep you from bitchinâ over everythinâ.â He licked a straight line over your folds, tasting the tangy wet that seeped through the fabric of your underwear. You let out a shrill whine when his tongue danced over your clit, and reached down to shed yourself of the final layer of clothing that covered your bottom half. He caught your wrist and pushed it aside. âNo,â He looked up at you as he licked over you again, âbeen playinâ your fuckinâ game for weeks. Sâmy turn. Donât get greedy, now.â
You moaned when he released your wrist from his grasp, only to begin rubbing circles over you. âPlâease, Joel!â You arched your back, lifting yourself up to him in an attempt to gain more friction.
âSay it again.â
âPlease,â it was barely audible, âplease, Joel. Please, pleaseâŚâ Your eyes were hooded as you begged for more. Either he was satisfied by your attempt or took pity on you for coming undone over practically nothing, but he slid the panties down your thighs and threw them over his shoulder. He admired your naked cunt, ghosting a finger over your slit and collecting what youâd already released. He leaned back down and attached his lips to your clit, pushing his finger into you and bending it upwards. You gasped, grabbing a fistful of his hair and tugging, earning a satisfied grunt from him. He rhythmically sucked your clit in time with the movements of his finger, adding another slowly and then increasing the pace. Over and over, he brushed the spongey spot inside of you that made you clench around him, tugging his hair tighter.Â
âGoâing to, Joel, fuck! Joelâ!â You were panting, fist gripping his hair.
âNo.â
âPlease!â You were trembling.
âNo.â He was unforgiving, absolutely ruthless as he fucked his fingers into you faster, licking tight and fast over your clit. You were close to tears now, grabbing onto the pillow underneath you to stabilize yourself. You were sweating, and he was the one doing all the work, but, Christ, it took effort to hold off on cumming when he was knuckle deep in your pussy like that.
âNow.â He said, pushing up against the spot you needed him to touch most, sucking hard on your swollen clit. You all but yelled, body turning to jelly, your eyes screwed tightâall while Joel continued his ministrations. He stared at you open mouthed as you trembled. He slowed once you stopped shaking, sliding his fingers out of you and licking them clean.Â
âStill gonna act like a bitch now?â He peppered kisses over your thighs.
âFâŚfuck yâou, Joel Miller.â You wheezed out. He laughed, standing up to remove his shirt and trousers.Â
ââFâIâd known you wanted it Iâdâve done it a month ago.â He crawled over you, pressing kisses into your neck.
âFuck you.â You finally caught your breath, and he pushed himself up enough to meet you face to face. âYouâre a bad person. Everybody in the QZ knows youâre a bad man.â
âThen why are you in my bed?â He was half sincere.
âYou tell me.â
âCan see the way you look at me. Terrible at keepinâ secrets. âNother reason you need someone to protect you out there.â He scoffed, and you pulled him down for a kiss. Though bruising in force, you were gentler with each other. Neither of you felt inclined to use teeth this time around.
Joel pushed himself up and onto his knees, sliding his cock over your clit and pushing his tip into you slightly. You whimpered, trying to wordlessly urge him to sink into you.Â
âAsk me.â
âPlease.â
âMore.â
âPlease, Joel, need itâŚâ
âNeed what, sweet thing?â You closed your eyes, savoring the nickname as it rolled off his tongue.Â
âNeed your cock. Joel, please, I need you to fuââ He cut you off with one sharp thrust, pushing his full length into you and bottoming out. You felt your eyes roll back in your head, and Joel brought a hand down to rest on the side of your face.
âAtta girl,â his mouth hung open as he began shallowly thrusting into you, âtake it all, darlinâ.â
You whined, hands scrambling to touch him wherever you could reach; his shoulders, his chest, his thigh if you stretched down a bit further. It only spurred him on.
âFuckinâ pathetic.â He pushed his hips into yours, attempting to get even deeper inside of your warm, inviting pussy. âBeen such a bitch with me ând now youâre so eager, huh? Liâl slut, needed tâget fucked sâall?â All you could do was let out a wonton moan, loving how he stretched you. âGonna be nice from now on?â You couldnât respond, could only think the word no as he sped up, sliding all the way out and all the way back into your cunt. âAnswer me, girl.â
âFâuck, nâno!â You stammered.Â
He brought a hand down harsh on your clit, pulling out so just the tip of his cock was seated shallowly inside of you. You squeezed around it. âDonât be a bitch,â he spanked your pussy again, âtell me the truth.â
Tears pricked your eyes in frustration, and you nodded your head yes.
âWords.â
âYes! Iâll be good, Iâll be so good, woâwonât give you attitude, Joel, IâI wonât be such a bitch, I prâomise.â
âI like you a liâl bitchy,â he slid his cock back into you, resuming the punishing pace, punching up into you. âLike my pretty liâl bitch. Like this tight fuckinâ pussy.â He flattened himself on top of you, chest pressing into yours with every breath he took and every rough shove of his cock against your cervix. The slight pain was worth the abounding pleasure. He reached under your midriff, sliding his hands between the flannel you still half-wore to meet your skin, wrapping his arms around you and pressing you into him further. You wrapped your own arms around his waist, completely lost in him.Â
âYâneeded this as much as I did,â he groaned into your ear, âtell me, sweet thing.â
âNeededâoh, fuck, I needed it.â You whispered against the skin of his shoulder. He managed to reach a hand down between you, fingers finding your clit. You buried your face into him, suddenly very aware of what was happening; your daydreams coming to fruition, winning the game in a manner leagues above what you had hoped for. The attention was staggering. The tears you had held back during his earlier taunting escaped, spilling over your cheeks and smudging into the sweat on Joelâs skin. It was overwhelming in the best way. Anxiety inducing in the worst.Â
âSo good, being soâso fuckinâ good, darlinâ.â He was getting sloppy with his thrusts, rhythm failing as he neared his own high. He pulled away from you, shifting positions to hold you so that you could be face to face. You couldnât count how many times today you had found yourself staring at Joel Miller. âYouâre so good.â A fully earnest sentiment, punctuated by every inch of his cock. âWant you to cum, need you to cum for me again.â He was practically begging, words coming out in moaned whispers. He kissed the tear streaks over your cheek and down to your lips, the wiry hair of his short mustache rubbing against your top lip in a manner that made your skin instantly sore, but it felt too good to be connected to him like this to complain at all. He continued his movements, fingers running over your clit at a heightened pace and cock throbbing inside of you. You squeezed around his cock, arms squeezing his torso, and you felt yourself coming undone.Â
âThere you go. Feel you fuckinâ squeezinâ me. Gimme one more, sweetheart.â You were pushed over the edge, once again cumming for Joel Miller in a way you had only ever imagined. He held you tight, letting you wrap yourself around him while you came, whispering his name and tangling your fingers in his hair. He managed a few more deep thrusts before pulling out and spilling across your stomach, chanting your name. Your breathing was labored, and Joel admired how he had painted you with his spend.
He stood up, walking out of the room, and you felt the urge to cry again, feeling suddenly abandoned after something so new and intimate. But he walked back in with a threadbare towel, wiping down your stomach and the wet between your thighs. You were both silent as he finished cleaning you up. He exited once more to rid himself of the towel before reuniting with you in bed. He lay beside you for a moment before turning to hold you. You turned to face him.
âItâs a shame you wiped me clean. Wanted a taste.â You failed to keep your tone even and unbothered, the crack in your voice apparent as you tried your hand at humor.
âNext time.â You looked up to find him staring at you once again. His usual scowl replaced by something softer. You fell back into a semi-comfortable silence.
âI am a bad man.â He spread his fingers out between your shoulder blades.
âJoelââ
âI am,â the words came out harsher than he had meant them to, âIâve done bad shit just to get by. Itâs fuckinâ embarrassinâ to kill someone just to see another day of this. Badâs an understatement.â He took a deep, shaky breath. âIâm hard on you cause I donât want you gettinâ hurt. Donât wanna be out with you if somethinâ happens. Donât wanna be away from you if somethinâ happens. Wouldnât be able toââ
âI can take care of myself.â
âI know. Sâfuckinâ awful. Shouldnât haveâta fend for yourself.â He swallowed.
âHave to to survive, Joel. Made it this far.â
âNo,â he countered, âshouldnât have to survive. You should be livinâ. Shouldnât needâa run with a crowd like me ând Tess.â
âDonât you think weâre a little past that? Iâd be doinâ the same thing even if I didnât have you two to do it with.â
âIâve seen how you freeze up.â
âI knew youâd be there.â You nearly snapped, astonished that after all this he was still hung up over the first run you did with him, despite the effortless shots he had taken. Even more astonished that he hadnât realized that despite the external bitterness he had fashioned and the constant stream of ânoâ that left his mouth, you knew even then that heâd keep you protected. He looked away from you, and you nuzzled your face into the crook of his neck, trying to show him that for all your bite you were capable of being docile when the moment called for it.
âShouldnât wanna hang around bad people.â Joelâs eyes looked into the nothing of the distance as he muttered. âShouldnât have to risk everything just to do bad things.â
âGood men die, too, Joel,â You were firm, âI wanna beâŚâ You trailed off. He looked back to you and traced a finger over your collar bone, admiring the marks that had formed from his kisses. âWanna be around you. With you.â You saw a faint smile creep across his face.
âNot a good man?â
You scoffed, âNever a good man. Wouldnât know how to handle me.â He laughed softly. You allowed his hands to roam over your body while you mirrored his movements, tracing your fingers over the scars that littered his chest. âCome with me on the next run.â You werenât asking.
For the first time in 20-odd years, Joel was unable to say no.

Pizza Delivery Boy
iâve always loved classic porn tropes with a feedism twist.
imagine ordering five pizzas for deliveryâa margarita, a Hawaiian, a pepperoni, a sausage and bacon, and a cheese. its late into the evening and your trap has been set. you wait patiently to strike.
within 30 minutes you hear a knock at your door. you open it, and standing before you on the welcome mat is a pudgy twenty-something wearing a backwards hat and a tight t-shirt donning the logo of your local pizza joint. heâs balancing all five pizzas in his arms, and he seems hasty to dump them onto you and get his tip.
âthank you,â you say, taking the pizzas. âi canât believe nobody showed. what am i going to do with all this pizza?â
though apathetic and moody, he asks what you mean.
âi was supposed to be having a party tonight so i ordered all this pizza. nobody showed, so now iâm stuck with it. i hardly have any room in my fridge!â
he doesnât take this bait, and instead tells you the total. you pull out your wallet and give him two twenties. while heâs calculating the change, you have a suggestion.
âhey, tell you what. do you want some of this pizza? iâd hate to see it go to waste.â
he shakes his head. âthanks but no thanks. im sick of pizza.â
âhow could anyone be sick of pizza?â
âi eat it on my breaks. i go home smelling like pizza. i get dough under my fingernails. itâs lost its appeal.â
âohâŚi see. well, if you change your mindâŚâ
he drops the change into your open palm, pondering. itâs a slow night after all, and admittedly heâs feeling a little peckish. someone called off, forcing him to work twice as hard. maybe eating something isnât such a bad idea.
reluctantly, he takes you up on your offer. once heâs entered the threshold you invite him to make himself comfortable and have as much pizza as he likes. he rolls his eyes a little at your incessant kindness. some people are just too nice. he peeks into the boxes on the counter to see what he wants. he decides that pepperoni sounds the most appealing.
the cheese pull is sublime. the pepperoni is curled and crispy. thereâs just enough sauce. for whatever reason, itâs hitting the spot. he decides another slice couldnât hurt.
as heâs grubbing, you drag a chair to the center of the kitchen.
âsit down if you like. im sure youâre exhausted.â
he nods. doing deliveries and making the pizzas has given him weak Bambi legs and quite the appetite. he takes a load off and opens the box of Hawaiian.
âa lot of people donât like Hawaiian.â you say. âwhat are your thoughts? do you think fruit belongs on pizza?â
he shrugs. âi dunno. itâs my favorite, but i guess itâs weird when you think of it that way.â
he gobbles the slice and wipes his greasy fingers down his pant leg. he looks like heâs about to get up, but you stop him.
âwell, i for one donât like Hawaiian at all. you should have some more, since itâs your favorite. hereââ you round the counter and give him the entire box. âgo ahead. itâs all yours.â
score, he thinks. he is warming up to your hospitality. he downs three more slices before deciding he is on the verge of uncomfortably full.
âwhatâs the matter? not hungry?â you ask.
âuhm. starting to get full. yâknow i should head out, my boss is going to wonder where i amââ
ânonsense, you just need a little helpâhere, why donât i feed it to you?â
you pick up a piece of Hawaiian. you hover it in front of his mouth. he looks stunned.
âwhat?â
âgo on then. i canât eat all this by myself.â
looking unsure of himself, he bites into the slice youâre offering. you gently coax the entire slice into his mouth.
âthere you go. you donât even need to use your hands. tell you what, why donât i tie those up for you?â
you ambush him and bind his arms behind his back. his feet come next.
âcomfortable?â you muse.
he squirms in the chair. âhey! whatâs going on?â
âdonât worry. just relax.â you open the box of Hawaiian. âyouâve still got four slices here. open wide!â
you stuff his cheeks full of pineapple and ham. his cheeks are so full his groans are muffled
âgood, isnât it?â he thrashes and turns his head away when you hover another slice in front of him. ânow, thatâs no way to treat your host. keep still.â
you force him to finish the Hawaiian pizza. by the end heâs left panting, his already tight shirt riding up his pale belly.
âohh, no more!â he begs. âi canât take anymore. my belly hurts.â
you smile and laugh. âwell, what next? margarita or sausage and bacon?â
looks like heâs going to have to call into work tomorrow.

Bear with me here I am going to word vomit of an AU I thought of (and I literally just woke up) Idk if I have the time to write, draw or even animate this bUT
A ghostprice au where Price goes blind
Hereâs a scene I had in my head, imagine a blackout panel, with a typewriting sound effect in the back that reads:
Patient Information: Johnathan Price, birth date, weight, height, number, address (something along those lines which are meant to hint this is a beginning of a medical record)
and then white blurry speech bubbles appearing from left and right
âWhat?â
You voiced out, or rather, Price voiced out (you are in Priceâs POV)
All the speech bubbles seized, and for a moment itâs just darkness and much quieter whispers
ââŚLaswell?â
âJohn, youâre up, easy nowâ
He hears her from his left, but still thereâs total darkness, and he furrows his brows, hands slowly reaching up to pat his face, or scratch itâ thereâs nothing on his skin, so heâs not being blindfolded, and thereâs no sac or bag covering his headâ but there is layers of something covering his eyes that he tries to pull off, managing to peek through a bit, he thinks heâs opening his eyes butâ
Still black
ââŚ?â
And then we cut to a shot of Ghostâs face, eyes wide with realization that Price canât see anymore.
The last panel reads:
âDiagnosis: Traumatic Optic Neuropathyâ (aka vision lossâ
- end of scene
More rambles:
Thinking about maybe from a mission an IED went off before anyone could reactâ well technically Price reacted first by pulling Ghost away, which resulted in direct exposure to the blast, followed by a concussion
Ghost immediately got on his feet and dragged Price away while also making sure all units were still available, he looks down and he sees laceration and red
Well okay I havenât figure out the clinical part but Im thinking maybe some blood pools around the corner of Priceâs eyes (if, say, the laceration cut across his eyelids), it wouldnât be as dramatic to the point where thereâs blood trickling down his eyes per see cuz Idk if I plan to make the shrapnel penetrate into the cornea (in this case it would be extremely severe cause of trauma, I shall have some mercy on him)
Maybe amongst the panic he saw how Priceâs left eye slowly turned red (internal bleeding) and all his alarms went off and quickly get medical on it
Of course he was praying that it wasnât as serious, maybe it was superficial and maybe his eyes were playing tricks on him cuz it was dark and the hallway had red lamp all over
Also i just realized this is prob quite inaccurately portrayed bcuz the bandages that covers the eyes are usually tightly sealed, and that his action of ripping them off is prrrobbaaably not good since infections and increasing the pressure around his eyes are just going to make this worse (like reopening sutures or whatnot) but i think it could work (shhh â¨fiction scienceâ¨)
But nope, Price is blind, and that automatically puts him unfit for service and Ghost knows that this isnât going to go well for the man
We always joked around saying Price is old but imagine if heâs mid 30s, prime in his years and definitely still had a lot of kick in himâ only to be forcefully ripped away from it

if you do requests can you do any Johnnie Gulibert x fem reader fluff please đđ
Somethinâ Stupid.
Johnnie Guilbert x Fem!Reader.
sorry if this isnât fluffy enough, i had this idea and song stuck in my head and thought itâd be perfect!
Johnnie sat in the living room on his phone as we waited for Jake and Tara to come over. the four of us frequently had dinner together, at least once a week. this week was at me and Johnnie's shared apartment. it was small but cozy. the faded maroon couch creaked as I plopped down next to him.
"You gonna help me cook? I was thinking we could make, like, lasagna or something. I don't know, I want pasta." I rambled, running my fingers along his tattoos.
"Of course," he kissed my forehead before checking the time on his phone. "it's only 3, they won't be here until 5:30."
"Well, yeah. i was thinking we could make everything from scratch. I know you're not a huge person on cooking, but it'd be fun if we did it together." I say shyly.
"you really trust me in that fucking kitchen?" he laughed, "I'd probably burn this place to the ground."
"yeah, right." I roll my eyes and stand up, gripping his arm in an attempt to pull him up. "Come onnn!" I whined, "we have all of the ingredients and everything."
he sighed dramatically. "fine, only because I love you."
"lazy bitch." I teased before making my way to the kitchen, johnnie not far behind me.
I listed the ingredients we needed off some random website so he could gather them. he was already moaning and groaning about how he's going to fuck it up.
"well, since I'm here, you can only fuck shit up if you try really, really hard." I tilted my head, putting my hands on my hips.
he waved his hand around. "whatever you say. let's do this shit authentic, dump the flour straight on the counter."
"johnnie, do no -" before I could protest, he had dumped a cup of flower onto the counter. "I'm not fucking cleaning that up."
johnnie giggled and finished putting the correct amount of flour into our freshly cleaned counters. âokay, maybe we should mix the wet ingredients in a bowl first and not dump them on the counter like an idiot.â I rolled my eyes.
he fluffed his hair. "but that's so boring."
"at least it's somewhat practical. also, I hope you remember what has happened on that counter between us, just saying." I grabbed a bowl out of the cabinet. his face flushed light pink as he smiled. "wanna mix?" I handed him the whisk after I had put all of the wet ingredients in.
as he mixed, I cleaned up after him. I grabbed the flour and began to walk back towards the cabinet whenever johnnie moved and bumped into me, causing flour to go all over my face and stick. "...johnnie!" I scolded.
he whipped around and laughed at the sight. "sorry, babe." he cheezed.
"not funny, get me a towel or something. be a good boyfriend." I pestered, attempting to seem angry but not being able to manage it. i let out a laugh as i looked at myself through the reflection of the microwave. i watched as johnnie wet a towel before coming over to me and wrapping his arm around my waist. he pulled me close and began to wipe off my face. âthanks, baby.â i smiled, pecking his lips before pulling away and getting back to work.
he finished mixing and looked at me for permission to dump the shit on the counter. i rolled my eyes once more and nodded, âgo ahead. itâs too late now.â
he giddily dumped the wet ingredients on the table, clapping and acting like a child with excitement. he began to mix everything with his hands and i helped him. âthis feels so weird.â johnnie snickered.
i giggled, âwell, yeah.â i lifted my hand up and wiped egg residue on his face.
he hunched over, gagging before wiping himself off with the towel. âugh!â
âlove you.â i smiled, wrapping up the dough and putting it in the fridge.
he grabbed the ingredients for the sauce as he read them from my phone. meanwhile, i began to shred cheese. âi donât even eat half of the shit on this list. mushrooms?!â Johnnie joked, making me roll my eyes.
âmushrooms will be on the side, mainly for Jake and Tara if they want them. we can have a fancy dinner!â i protest, putting the cheese off to the side as i began to cut the mushrooms. Johnnie came up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist as i cut. âyou already done putting the sauce together?â
âyeah, it was easy.â he smirked, resting his head on my shoulder,
âdid you do it correctly?â i emphasize, scooping the chopped up mushrooms into a pan to cook them.
he snorts, âi hope so.â
i triple checked to make sure everything was running smoothly before starting the oven. i hummed along with the Frank Sinatra record playing quietly in the background. i stirred the mushrooms, adding seasoning and singing to myself. âand then i go and spoil it all by saying somethinâ stupid like, âi love you.ââ
âyouâre so beautiful,â Johnnie commented, stirring the sauce before walking off to set the table.
i blushed just as hard as i had since we first started dating, things Johnnie said to me never got old. i continued humming along with a smile on my face. Johnnie began to wash plates and utensils, which were matching matte black with silver accents. i turned to look at him, unable to hold back a smile when his gaze met mine. i had always hated singing in front of people, but Johnnie loved it.
we quickly assembled the lasagna, as our time was running out quickly, it was already 5. we had lost track of time talking while everything cooked. after putting it in the oven, Johnnie kissed my forehead. âwe did great.â

A Dog Situation
Request: Hi I love your work and was wondering if you could do a Tim Bradford x daughter!reader where maybe Nolan is watching her while Tim is at work because itâs a weekend, and they decide to go out to lunch and on the way back they pass by a box that says âfree puppiesâ a reader grabs one and Nolan knows he shouldnât agree but heâs a big softie and then Tim comes homes and is just so confused.
No pressure to write this have a good day/nightđŤśđť
Pairings: Tim Bradford x Daughter!Reader
Warnings: fluff
Baby Bradford: A Little Fighter
Masterlist
A/N: thank you to @callsigns-haze for making this very adorable banner!
It was rare for Tim to be working on a weekend but Sergeant Grey needed all the help he could get out on the streets. Tim loved his job but he loved spending time with you more. Of course, you understood that his job could be demanding and took him away from you on the weekends, you couldn't be mad about that after all he is the one paying the bills.
Usually, you would have a babysitter on hand or when the others weren't working that got put on babysitting duty, giving your normal babysitter a break. Normally Talia and Nolan would be going in as well but weren't called in for whatever reason. You had known that he was getting called into work the weekend on Thursday and it wasn't a big surprise. Instead of your dad coming home Friday night he would be working until Saturday night which meant that Nolan would be picking you up and spending the night at your house in the guest room.
You love your âUncleâ Nolan. He gave you all the sweets you wanted and let you do things your dad wouldn't let you do, though he respected your dad's rules. He also understood you and knew how to react in certain situations because he also had a kid, a son. If it wasn't for him, you probably would be much harder on your dad, of course you were hard on him but it could be worse.
It had been decided that Tim would be dropping you off at school Friday morning and then Nolan would be picking you up. You had already known Angela and Talia very well and Tim trusted them with you. It took a while but eventually Tim was ok with leaving you with the rookies, you made fast friends with everyone. He was more than ok leaving you with Nolan because he too was a dad and knew how children could be, he knew how to handle situations.
Tim's 6:30 AM alarm had just gotten off and jerked him out of his sleep. He was quick to turn it off before it could wake you up. He laid there for a second but then was rolling out of bed and started to get ready for a full day of work and then overnight work. He quickly took a shower and brushed his teeth and then dressed, after he was done, he walked out and went to your room and checked in on you. He smiled seeing that you were still asleep. He closed the door and went to the kitchen, starting a pot of coffee for him and started to get breakfast ready for him and you. When he heard your door open and the pitter patter of feet coming into the kitchen he smiled, right on time. âHey, Sweetheart.â He said when you came and stood next to him, he slung an arm around your shoulders and you melted into his touch.
âHi, Daddy.â You said not truly awake yet. He turned and kissed your head and then turning back towards the food,
âRemember Nolan is going to be picking you up today and staying with you until I get off work tomorrow afternoon.â He said and you nodded.
âI remember.â You said and he smiled and then you were moving away from him and grabbing a glass so you could get something to drink. Just about that time he had turned off the stove and you watched him stack the pancakes on the plates, then heading over to you sitting one plate in front of you and then the other where he would be sitting.
Both of you ate in a relatively comfortable silence, every now and then talk would happen but other than that nothing much was said. When you both finished your breakfast, he looked at you âGo ahead and get ready for school.â He said and watched you get up and put your plate in the sink and then scamper off heading to get ready for school, he smiled watching you. He asked himself how he got so lucky to have you as a kid. He hated what your mother did to you but that just meant that you had a stronger bond with him. Not long, you were coming out dressed and ready to go. He smiled at you as you grabbed your bag and he grabbed his and the both of you were out the door and to his truck.
After a short trip to your school, he was pulling up to the front of the school and turning to you. âBe good and don't smart off. Also remember to be good for Nolan when he comes and picks you up and stays with you.â He said, giving you a pointed look and you smiled up at him.
âIâm always good, Dad.â You said and he smiled and kissed your forehead.
âDonât put him in a situation where he can't say no to either.â He said as you were getting out and you turned and smirked at him.
âI would never do that.â You said with a playfully hurt expression but he quickly turned into a smile and then you were shutting the door and giving him a wave and then you were off going into the school meeting up with some of your friends.
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
Tim arrived at the precinct and had just parked beside Lucyâs car. He got out and started into the precinct. He said hi to people and the front desk person. He walked into the locker room and started getting dressed when Nolan walked up to him. âHey.â He said and Tim looked at him and smiled.
âHey, Y/N is excited to be able to hang out with you tonight and tomorrow.â He said and Nolan smiled.
âIâm excited too. I love that kid.â Nolan said and that made Tim smile.
âShe loves you too. Oh, donât let her get you in a situation that you canât say no to. She is good about doing that. Also donât fall for the puppy dog eyes.â Tim said and Nolan chuckled.
âNobody can resist those eyes.â He said and Tim smiled and agreed. They walked out in the briefing room and got ready to start the day.
The rest of the day went by smoothly, calls were answered and arrests were made. Before anyone knew it, it was the end of the day. Nolan walked in and got changed and as he was walking out Tim caught him. âHey, have a good night tonight and day tomorrow. If you need me, call me and Iâll answer and if Iâm needed, Iâll be there. Kitchen is fair game and so is the coffee, other drinks, there is food in the pantry, freezer, and fridge. Take out is also an option, Y/N/N knows where the money is and she has my credit card plugged into her phone and most take out options.â Tim said and Nolan nodded and smiled.
âDonât worry, weâll have fun and if we need you, you will be notified. Also, I can pay for the food.â Nolan said and Tim nodded.
âYou donât have to do that.â Tim said and Nolan shook his head.
âI want to.â He replied and Tim nodded in defeat. He knew that his little girl is in good hands but heâs a dad, itâs his job to worry. âNow go continue your shift. Iâm gonna go and pick up your little girl and weâre going to have a blast. Weâll send pictures.â Nolan said and that made Tim smile. Tim walked off when Seargent Grey called out to him and Nolan was off to get you. Nolan walked to his truck and got in after throwing his bag into the back and then he got into the driverâs side and started his truck up and headed to your school, which wasnât that far. Nolan got in the line with the other cars and waited for them to move. When he was finally up in the front, he saw you waiting and then when you saw him you smiled and hurriedly walked to his truck and he got in. âHello, Baby Braford.â He said and you rolled your eyes.
âHello, Uncle Nolan.â You said and you gave him a hug and you both were headed to your house. âWhatâs the plan for tonight?â You asked and he smiled.
âWell, your dad said there was some food in the pantry, fridge, and freezer. So, we can cook something up or we can order out. I was also thinking about having a movie night.â He said and you turned to him and he made a quick glance at you and saw you smiling and smiled but then paid attention to the road.
âOhhh!!! Chinese food and movie night!â You said and he chuckled.
âYou got it.â He said âWeâll order it once we get home.â He added and you nodded excited. Before you knew it you were home and he was pulling into the driveway. He parked the truck and killed the engine and then you both were getting out. Nolan grabbed his second bag and you grabbed your backpack and you both headed into the house after you unlocked the door with your key. You set your bag on by the door and Nolan walked to the guest room and set his bag on the bed. He walked out of the room and into the kitchen where you were leaning against the counter scrolling on your phone answering texts from your friends and your dad. You looked up when you heard Nolan. âAlright, you wanna go ahead and order the food and get movie night started?â He asked and nodded excitedly. âWhy donât you go and get changed and Iâll order, my treat.â He said before you could argue and nodded and headed off. âWant your usual?â He asked and you turned to him.
âOf course.â You said with that Bradford smirk and watched you walk on. He pulled out his phone and opened the app and ordered his and your usual order. Now the wait starts.
It wasnât long until you had come out in some sweats and your dadâs hoodie that you âborrowedâ from him but he knew he had lost it when you got your hands on it. Nolan had gotten the TV said up when you had come out of your room and into the living room. âWhat do you want to watch?â He asked as you came and sat down on the couch.
âNational Treasure?â You asked
âOh, my favorite. Do you want to start with the first one and then watch the second one?â He asked and you nodded excitedly. This is why he was your favorite. 20 minutes into the movie and the doorbell rang meaning the food was here and he got up to answer it as you got up and grabbed drinks. He shut the door and you both walked into the living room. You both sorted out the food and then you started the movie back up and began to eat.
After National Treasure ended you started National Treasure: Book of Secrets up and you both laughed and commented throughout the movie. Food was eaten throughout both movies and you had a blanket thrown over you. It was getting pretty late by the time that one ended but you were nowhere near ready to go to bed. As the credits rolled you looked over at Nolan âWhatâs itâs gonna be now?â You asked and he thought about it.
âTop Gun?â He asked and he watched your face light up. Top Gun was one of your all-time favorites and it was your dadâs too.
âYes!!!! I knew you were my favorite for a reason.â You said and he laughed.
âThere are a lot of reasons why Iâm your favorite.â He said and you nodded.
âYou got that right.â You said and then you got up and switched out the movies and then rushed to the couch and threw the blanket back over you and snuggled into Nolan. When it got to Gooseâs death you cried so hard, you always did and Nolan wasnât going to lie he teared up too. Once it ended, which you were sad about, you turned to him âDid you hear that they are coming out with a second one?â You asked and he turned to you.
âOh really? When is it coming out?â He asked
âThey havenât given a date yet.â You said and he nodded and then you decided on a few more movies, Rock of Ages, Battleship, and all of the Mission Impossibles, and before you knew it, it was 12 AM. Throughout the night pictures of you and Nolanâs selfies of you and him eating and making funny pictures were sent to Tim.
âAlright, kiddo. Time for bed.â He said and you looked at him.
âIâm not even tired.â You said just as soon as a yawn escaped you and he chuckled.
âNope. Bed time.â He said and you pouted but got up and trudged off into your room and got into bed and fell asleep quickly.
Nolan started to clean up and turn the TV off and made sure the movie was in the movie case, and threw away the trash. He turned off the lights and headed to the guest room. He stopped at your door and opened it and checked in on you and smiled when he saw that you were sound asleep. He shut the door and walked into the bedroom and got ready for bed. Once he was ready, he laid down and was quick to fall asleep.
ââââââââââââââââââââââ
The next morning, Saturday, you woke up the smell of bacon and pancakes. Your stomach growled and it had you getting up and walking out of your room and into the kitchen to see Nolan already dressed and at the stove. When he heard you, he turned and he smiled âHey.â He said and you smiled âI figured we have breakfast and then get out of the house and do some shopping and hanging out.â He said and you smiled.
âThat sounds great.â You said and he smiled and turned off the stove and then handed you a plate and you both got what you wanted and then sat down at the table. You saw that your drink and his coffee were already on the table. Breakfast was eaten and small talk was made. He asked you about school and you asked him about work. It was fun and it was like when you were talking with your dad.
After breakfast you were getting up and putting your dish in the sink, something your dad taught you from an early age âHey, once you get dressed and teeth brushed. Weâll get going.â Nolan said and you nodded. You were quick to get ready into some jeans and a âTalk to me, Gooseâ shirt and then you threw on your dadâs hoodie again. You brushed your teeth and put your hair up in a ponytail. You grabbed your phone and headed into the kitchen. Nolan had just finished wiping down the table and counter when he turned when he heard you âReady to go?â He asked and you nodded and he smiled. You both walked out and you locked the door behind you. You both got into the truck and headed off into the town.
When he got to where he had planned, he parked and killed the engine and then you both were getting out and walked into the shop. You both had a blast and bought some things. Everything was close enough so you didnât have to keep getting back into the truck and leaving. After spending the morning shopping, you decided to have lunch at a cute little bakery. You both talked about anything and everything. As you finished lunch and were heading back to the truck because your dad was due home in 3 hours, you heard what sounded like puppy whimpering and you being an animal lover had to go and investigate. Meaning you veered off from Nolan and he was quick to take notice of this âY/N.â He said and started off after you but you ignored him âY/N Bradford, you cannot just walk off.â He said in a tone a parent would use when scolding a child, which he technically was.
âBut Uncle Nolan! I heard puppies! I just couldnât walk away.â You all but pouted.
âNever do it again.â He said and you nodded. You then turned and looked at the box that said âFree Puppiesâ. You peered down at them and there were only 2 left. They were Golden Retriever puppies, standard golden color. They both came straight to you when you bent down to see them and you picked them up, both were male. Nolan could see the wheels turning âY/N.â He said in a warning tone.
âUncle Nolan.â You whined âPlease. Look at them.â You said and put the puppy in front of his face and licked him and then he looked at you and you had brought on your puppy dog eyes. This would be the situation that Tim said not to let you get him into. Nolan had an internal battle with himself but his heart won.
âOk, fine.â He said âThey're kind of cute.â He said and you squealed
âWe need to take the other one, Uncle Nolan. We can't split them up.â You said and Nolan looked apprehensive.
âY/N.â He said trying so hard not to give in but he was losing.
âPlease, with a cherry on top.â You pleaded with puppy dog eyes.
âFine. I remember passing a pet store while walking around. We can stop in and grab some stuff. Your dad is going to kill me.â He said but you werenât listening to him because you were interested in the puppies. As you arrived at the pet store you walked in and Nolan got a shopping cart and first went to the collars, leashes, and harness. You got collars, harnesses, and leashes in blue and red. Then you went to get bowls for water and food. After doing that you got some KONG toys and 4 beds. Then two crates that would be switched to bigger ones when they got older. As you got to the food you were a little lost until a worker came over and helped you and got you treats. Then you went to the dog tags. âWhat are you gonna name them?â Nolan asked and you thought long and hard about it.
âMaverick and Goose.â You said beaming up at him, he smiled and shook his head. That is a perfect name. He typed it in for you, putting Maverick on the front and then your name and phone number and then Timâs name and number on the back it printed out on a blue dog bone shaped tag with black writing. He did the same for Goose but on a red tag. Maverick and Goose had fallen asleep in your arms. Once it was done you headed over to check out and you paid for everything with your money and then you both were heading out and to his truck. He loaded everything and then helped you get in.
When you arrived back home you got out when the truck was parked and the engine was killed. You got out and put Maverick and Goose down on the ground to let him use the bathroom which he immediately did and then you headed inside. You played with Maverick and Goose while he brought everything in. When he did so he set everything up and got some water in a bowl and some food in the bowl. âYour dad is going to kill me.â He said again.
âNo, he isnât.â You said not taking your attention away from your new dogs. Not even 30 minutes later you heard your dadâs truck. Nolan and you looked up as he walked in and he froze when the puppies ran to him.
âY/N.â He said when you came running to him.
âDad.â You said in the same tone.
âWhat is this?â He asked
âThis is Maverick and Goose. Our new dog!â You said excitedly and then he looked over at Nolan who had appeared.
âWhat happened?â Tim asked
âI was put in a position that I couldnât say no.â Nolan said and Tim gave him a look âI couldnât say no. She used the puppy dog eyes on me.â He said and then Tim turned to you.
âI told you not to put him in a situation where he couldnât say no.â He said and you picked up the puppy and held it in front of Tim.
âBut Daaaddd-â You said âlook at them. How can you just pass this face up?â You added and Maverick, who you had picked up, licked him in the face and his face melted and he smiled and you knew you had won.
âFine. We can keep him. But they are your responsibility. You take them out every time they wake up no matter what time and 30 minutes after they eat. You take them on walks. Iâll step in when needed but they are your responsibility. Understand?â He asked and you nodded.
âYes, sir.â You said âWe put your name and number on their tags as well as mine.â You added and he nodded.
âGood.â He nodded and then you scampered off to play with Maverick and Goose. Both men watched you being happy.
âI couldnât say no, honestly.â Nolan said
âItâs ok. I probably wouldnât have said no either. She can be very convincing.â Tim said chuckling and so did Nolan âYou are welcome to leave or you can stay. Itâs up to you.â He said and Nolan nodded.
âIâll stay if that is ok with you. I love puppies and being able to hang out with Y/N/N. After all, I'm her favorite uncle.â Nolan said and Tim laughed.
âThat is true. Shall we go and get acquainted with the new family member?â Tim asked, looking at Nolan and he looked at him.
âI think we shall.â Nolan said. Both of them walked into the living room and sat down on the floor Maverick and Goose and you were quick to notice. Everyone laughed and was having a good time. Tim looked over at you.
âAre you happy, Baby Girl?â He asked and you looked at him and smiled.
âI am, Dad. Really happy.â You said and he could see that.
âAs long as you're happy. Iâm happy.â He said and pulled you into a hug which you snuggled into.
Youâve always wanted a male Golden Retriever and now you have two named Maverick or Goose. You were happy and loved him. Your dad had to admit that he loved him too, he has always wanted a dog in the house but always had been too busy but now that you had one in the house everything just seemed perfect and whole. Maverick and Goose had completed your family and you and your dad couldnât be happier.

â ď¸NSFW Aheadâ ď¸
What if MC was an angel but they were also there when Lucifer was an angel?
Starting out, what if MC was really young when their connection to Lucifer first began?
What if at one point MC had to attend an angel meeting bc of their guardian angel and they developed a silly-little-kids-crush on Lucifer the moment they laid eyes on him?
Imagine MC with starry, sparkling eyes while they gawk at how magnificently beautiful he is.
And during the meeting, Lucifer randomly comes up to MC and is like, âAnd what is your name?â
MC would be so shy bc thatâs what little kids are like when their crush pays any attention to them and MC would whisper their name and heâd go, âOh, really? Thatâs such a beautiful name.â And makes MC so happy because Lucifer just said he likes their name!
But skip a little into the future where angel MC gets a little older but they get really scared over something and they run into the nearest dark place, which just happened to be the alleyway where Lucifer was walking by.
He sees MC sniffling and gets so worried and approches them calmly then says your name and goes, âAre you alright? Is something the matter?â But MC doesnât want to talk to him and just positions their body away from Lucifer, getting all defensive and defiant.
Lucifer eventually gets close enough to where he can crouch in front on MC and place his hand on their back, soothing them by rubbing it slowly.
âCan you tell me what happened?â But MC would still refuse to talk and Lucifer would sigh in defeat.
He digs something out of his pocket and presents it to MC and they look at it. With MCâs attention, he says, âThis is a magical necklace. See?â And he would make the necklace softly glow with his magic and MC is in awe with it.
He then takes MCâs hand and places the necklace in their palm, closing their hand around it before saying, âIf you ever feel scared, hold this necklace right against your chest, and I will always be with you in spirit. No matter what challenges you face, just know that with this necklace, I will never leave your side.â
Then they never saw Lucifer again after that day, but MC has always worn the necklace and never let it out of their sight.
Then fast forward to when the war begins.
MC is older now, about maybe 7000 angel years (looks like about 20-30 human years) and their frantically looking around to see if they can find Lucifer.
They know heâs probably forgotten about them, but that doesnât mean MC wonât fight along side him.
But MCâs heart is shattered when they see Lucifer is falling from the heavens.
They scream and run towards him but they couldnât help him. Theyâre on their knees and they start to cry.
After the war comes to an end, MC is devastated and broken. Theyâre not in their right mind anymore, with having just witnessed the love of their life slip from their fingers and fall to his death.
MC thinks Lucifer is dead until several thousands of years later, Luciferâs face shows up in the Celestial Realm once again accompanied by his brothers and the demon kindâs son. But this time his wings are black, he has pointed spirals adjourning his head, and aura is that of a demon.
MC hears wind that Lucifer and his brothers are here as a last resort to restore peace between the Devildom and the Celestial Realm.
So when Lucifer and company enter the main estate of the Celestial Realm, MC waits by patiently until the sun dims down and the doors finally open once more.
MC waits until Lucifer is by himself.
Lucifer is walking into an alleyway when MC walks up behind him. Theyâre about to grab his shoulder, but Lucifer reacts quickly and pins MC to the wall, his forearm on their chest.
âWho are you?â But MC is too stunned to speak. He asks again and MC snaps out of it.
MC explains everything and Lucifer slowly backs away from MC.
âShow me.â MC looks at him confused. âShow me the necklace. Prove it to me. Prove to me who you say you are.â
And MC shows him the necklace.
Lucifer walks as close as he can and shows his own version of the necklace.
Theyâre the same shape, same design. A gold heart with a tiny angel feather in the middle, only now, Luciferâs is black.
Lucifer brings his closer to MCâs and both necklaces start to glow. Lucifer slowly looks up at MC and looks into their eyes for the first time ever since that fateful day, and wraps his arms around their neck, leaning in to kiss them.
MC immediately kisses back and wraps their arms around his waist, pulling him closer.
MCâs heart is pounding, thinking of how long they wanted this day to come and now they finally have it.
Their first kiss is slow and sensual, then they break it to gasp for air. When they share their second kiss, a flame ignites their heartâs desires and they share a passionate and equally lustful hunger for each other, their lips moving fast and sloppy.
By the time they share their third kiss, theyâre in MCâs bedroom, Lucifer on his back on MCâs bed.
They both kiss with such veracityďżź as if it would satiate their ever-growing desire for each other.
MCs hands are focused on removing Luciferâs clothing, while Luciferâs are focused on removing MCâs clothing. But when they both are naked and exploring each otherâs bodies, they stop moving for a moment to stare into each otherâs eyes.
âAre you sure you want this?â
MC kisses Lucifer and preps him with a bottle of lube he had summoned.
Hearing Lucifer moan for the first time only makes MC harder. MC scissors Lucifer open until they think heâs ready and Lucifer hands them the bottle of lube.
MC wastes so time in lathering themself up and inserting themself inside Lucifer.
MC loves the way Lucifer arches his back and clenches the bed sheets.
MC adores the sound of Luciferâs sounds. They sound so pretty, so perfect, exactly how they imagined them to be.
Then MC starts to move and they donât stop until the sun brightens again and they both pass out from exhaustion.
Itâs only the morning after that Lucifer reveals the truth about the necklace.
âItâs a necklace that ties one soul to another, then their souls form an eternal bond. A bond that can never be broken.â
A Soulmate Bond.

Camp Wiegman-Part 80
Lucy Bronze x Ona Batlle
Alternative Universe: Military School
Words: 5K
Masterlist
âââââââââââââââââââââââ
Saturday, April 16; 5:30 PM - Porto Airport.
Here we are, in Porto. I can hardly believe it. I mean, I'm from Portugal, but I've never been here. It's always been a city I've wanted to visit, and here I am. Lucy smiles at me to reassure me.
"Are you ready?"
"As if I had a choice."
She laughs softly and steals a kiss. She's lucky I love her madly. In a few minutes, we're going to get off the plane and meet her parents. Despite her teasing, I can tell Lucy's been nervous since yesterday. She gave me a little rundown of what to expect, and honestly, I have no idea how to act.
"I love you. Don't forget that."
"I know."
We exchange a smile, and we walk hand in hand down the disembarkation corridor. My hands are sweaty. There are people all around us. When we reach the hall, I let Lucy take the lead in looking for them, as I've never seen them. All I know is that her father is really tall and her mother have white hair.
"I see them! Are you coming?"
"I'm right behind you."
She guides me while I keep looking around for them. I finally smile when I see Alexia running toward us. I barely have time to let go of my girlfriendâs hand to catch her in my arms.
"Youâre finally here!"
I let out a sigh. I had forgotten they arrived before us. Thatâs great news.
"Hey. Iâm so relieved to see you."
"Me too! I have so much to tell you."
"Really? Did you have a good week?"
I almost forgot she spent the week with Jenni and her sister. I imagine she has lots to share.
"It couldnât have been better. And you? You look like you got some sun."
"A little, yes," I giggle.
I glance over her shoulder to see Lucy standing next to her parents and Jenni. I smile especially when I see her in the arms of a woman I assume to be her mother based on her appearance.
"Youâve already talked to them, I guess?" I ask Ale.
"Yeah. Your mother-in-law is a bit... I donât know. Intimidating? Sheâs something else."
"Thanks, Ale. Thatâs really reassuring," I mock.
"Sorry," she laughs. "Just giving you a heads-up."
I nod. Anyway, Lucy already warned me that her mother would be the one to intimidate me the most with her cold demeanor. In a way, it reminds me of Lucy when we first met. She was the same, so I guess itâs not insurmountable.
"Her dad, on the other hand, is adorable. He hasnât stopped chatting with us."
I glance at him. Once again, Lucy warned me not to judge by appearances. He reminds me of my dad, but even more impressive.
"Thatâs something, at least."
"Come on, Iâll go with you through this tough moment. Weâll chat later."
I nod. I canât run away forever. Alexia links her arm with mine to guide me. I let her. Iâd rather do that than have time to overthink. Lucy smiles immediately when she sees us. Ale lets go of me when my girlfriend reaches out her hand. I take it and donât hesitate to snuggle against her.
"Mom, Dad, this is Ona, my girlfriend. Ona, this is Diane , my mother , and Kim, my father."
"Hello," I say timidly. "Iâm happy to finally meet you."
"And we are too. Lucy has told us a lot about you. Donât be shy around us. Weâre glad Lucyâs brought someone home."
"Well, that puts a lot of pressure on me."
The words slipped out, but they seem to amuse her father, who catches me off guard with a hug that tenses me up. Lucy smiles with amusement beside me. Maybe this trip wonât be as bad as I feared. Well, except for her mother, who has been staring at me the whole time. Lucyâs father saves me from having to approach her by suggesting we hurry home. Lucy kisses my temple, wrapping her arm around my shoulders as we walk.
"Youâre doing great, honey," she whispers. "Youâre perfect. Just keep being yourself, and everything will be fine."
Her words give me the strength I need for whatâs ahead. The non-interaction with her mother bothers me a bit, but I suppose Iâll have to get used to it for now. Lucy said not to expect much from her at first.
"You all must be starving," her father says as we head toward the exit after collecting our bags.
"Oh, yes, youâre not kidding," Jenni replies. "Iâll be glad when weâre home."
"Youâll have to wait a bit. We invited your parents for dinner tonight. We thought itâd bring back good memories."
"What a great idea. Are we having a barbecue?"
"Of course. Youâll help me grill the meat."
"Gladly!"
It seems like everyoneâs looking forward to tonight. I really hope everything goes well.
Saturday, April 16; 7:30 PM - Bronze House.
Lucy loved my house, but she didnât do too badly with hers either. Itâs a small house with a lovely, well-kept garden. Like me, they live away from the city, in a very friendly neighborhood. Itâs peaceful. You canât hear anything, even though weâre outside sipping a drink for now. The Dads and Jenni are handling the grilling. Jenni looks a lot like her dad. The mothers are, to my relief, inside preparing salads. I have some breathing room and, more importantly, an escape from my mother-in-lawâs watchful eyes. She wonât stop. I feel like sheâs scrutinizing my every move. Itâs very unsettling. Thankfully, Alexia keeps me relaxed with casual conversation.
"I need to use the bathroom before we sit down," I tell Lucy. "Can you show me where it is?"
"Iâll come with you."
"Oh no, you donât have to. Just tell me."
"Sweetheart, Iâm coming with you," she insists. "Weâll be back in ten minutes," she tells Ale.
"No problem, Iâll check in on the others in the meantime."
She winks at me as we walk into the house. Lucy takes me upstairs, which feels strange at the moment. But then she opens the door to the bathroom, right next to her bedroom. At least now I know I wonât have trouble finding it if I need to during the night.
"Thanks."
"Is everything okay, love?" she asks, stopping me with her question.
"Yes, of course. Why wouldnât it be?"
"Well, youâre not as cheerful as when we left Lisbon."
"Well⌠your mother is quite the character, but Iâll be fine."
She chuckles softly, sliding her hands around my waist.
"I know, Iâm sorry if sheâs making you uncomfortable."
"Oh no, donât apologize. Itâs not your fault, and honestly, sheâs not making me that uncomfortable. I havenât even spoken to her yet."
"Youâre right," she sighs. "I know she likes to observe before acting, but sheâs never been this intense. Iâll say something to her eventually."
"No! Please donât, Lucy. I donât want her to think Iâm playing the victim or anything."
She sighs heavily. I cup her cheek, and she looks up at me.
"And then what? Iâm not going to let her create tension between you two during this trip."
"Well, I donât know⌠Maybe sheâs waiting for me to approach her? Maybe I should make the first move. What do you think?"
"Iâm not sure youâre ready toâ"
"Ready for what?" I interrupt. "I think Iâve been through enough to handle a conversation with your mom, Lucia."
"Thatâs not what I meant," she sighs.
She averts her gaze, clearly thinking it over. I can tell sheâs nervous. Either sheâs hiding something serious, or she doesnât think I can handle her mother.
"Okay⌠If you feel like facing her, go ahead. Sheâll appreciate the gesture."
"Thank you."
I smile and kiss her gently.
"Can I use the bathroom now?
"Yes," she laughed. "I'll wait for you."
She let go of me, and I hurried to take care of what I needed to do. I washed my hands and came back out. Lucy was leaning against the door, looking deep in thought. I stood in front of her and wrapped my arms around her.
"Hey, how are you?"
She shrugged.
"I donât know. Itâs always strange coming back here."
"I can see that. We're far from peace and quiet, huh?"
"Yeah," she chuckled.
I gently stroked her hair, full of love.
"Do you want to talk?"
"No, it's fine."
"Okay... You know I love you, right?"
A small smile formed on her lips.
"Yeah, it seems like it..." she replied playfully.
"You think thatâs funny, huh?" I asked, pulling away a little.
"Just a bit."
A small gasp escaped me when she flipped the roles. I found myself pressed against the wall, speechless as she kissed me softly. I kissed her back with growing desire.
"Youâll never love me as much as I love you," she teased.
"Wrong. I already love you more than you love me."
"No, I don't think so," she teased back.
"Girls! We're ready to eat!" Ale called from the stairs.
"Well, duty calls, it seems."
"Yeah, convenient for you."
"I donât know what youâre talking about. Letâs go fill our stomachs instead of arguing over a debate that, in my opinion, has no possible outcome."
I chuckled softly.
"You're just afraid to lose, that's all."
"Are you done yet? I might start thinking youâre doubting my feelings."
She stepped back, crossing her arms. She was truly adorable when she pretended to sulk. Usually, it was me in that position. I tilted my head, smiling.
"Are you kidding? After our nights at the beach, there's no way I could ever doubt your feelings."
I moved closer to her again, pressing our bodies together. Her hand gliding over my hip caught me off guard, and once again, she had me pinned against the wall. My breath was short, but I let her kiss me once more, tenderly. I felt myself surrender more and more, and I loved it. I had developed an unshakable trust in her. Last week had truly been paradise. For the first time in a long while, I felt like I had fully found myself again. We were in perfect harmony, and nothing made me happier than knowing weâd be living together permanently in just a few weeks. I snapped back to reality when Lucy started to venture a little too far along my neck.
"Lucia," I whispered.
That didnât seem to stop her, but a pinch on her butt certainly did the trick.
"Hey!" she protested.
"You made me wait for nights last week because we were under my grandfather's roof. Donât think youâre going to get away with it any easier here."
"And what, exactly? Want me to find us a beach?" she teased.
"Youâre ridiculous," I giggled. "We almost got caught more than once last night, remember?"
"Oh, come on, it was kind of fun, wasnât it?" she teased, letting her hand wander under my shirt.
"Sure, but you werenât the one half undressed when it happened."
"True," she laughed.
I gave in to her lips one last time. Thatâs when we were interrupted by the sound of a throat clearing. I panicked a little but relaxed when I saw Ale standing there.
"So, this is what you've been up to this whole time? Weâve all been waiting for you."
"Sorry about that," Lucy laughed. "Weâre coming."
"I hope so!"
She turned around without checking if we were following. I was ready to go, but Lucy held me back one more time. I thought we were done.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Forget about all that for now. Donât worry about my mom tonight. Focus on me, okay? I want us to have a good evening for our first night here. Can you do that for me?"
I took a deep breath but nodded.
"Okay," I murmured. "Iâll try."
"Thank you. I love you, donât forget that."
I smiled as she kissed me one last time. Now it was time to keep my promise. I just hoped her mom wouldnât traumatize me.
Sunday, April 17th, 08:30 AM - Bronze House
I groaned as I felt movement beside me. I reached out to place my arm over Lucyâs body, but I realized she wasnât lying down anymore.
"What are you doing?" I mumbled.
"Shhh, go back to sleep."
"Where are you going?" I grumbled, blinking as she tried to get out of bed.
"I can't sleep anymore. Jenni texted me. Weâre going for a run."
I sighed contentedly as she stroked my head. It felt so good. I closed my eyes again.
"You're leaving me alone?"
"Weâre just doing a quick loop around the neighborhood. You wonât have to leave here without me, okay?"
"Hmm..."
I heard her words, but I was too tired to process them. Lucy chuckled at my response.
"I love you. See you soon."
I felt her lips against mine. I let out another small groan as she finally got out of bed. I wasnât able to stop her, but instead, I slid over to her side of the bed, hugging her pillow to me. On the one hand, I hated that she left me alone for her morning runs, but on the other, I loved being able to enjoy her side of the bed in her absence. Without fully realizing it, I drifted back to sleep.
Sunday, April 17th, 09:00 AM - Bronze House
I stretched out in the big bed, realizing I was alone. I vaguely remembered why, thanks to Lucyâs departure. I sighed and reached for my phone. It was still early for me, but I could hear movement in the house. There was noise coming from downstairs. I didnât know when Lucy had left, but I didnât particularly feel like waiting for her up here. Knowing Alexia, she was probably still sleeping. She loved to sleep in as much as I did. Or, maybe she had gone with the others. That was a possibility too. I waited for a while, but eventually decided to get out of bed. It was ridiculous to stay there, and with a bit of luck, Lucyâs dad would be downstairs. I took the time to get dressed and make the bed before heading to the bathroom next to the room. I brushed my teeth and fixed my hair before heading downstairs. After all, I was at my in-lawsâ house, and the least I could do was look presentable. My feet led me to the kitchen after I noticed the living room was empty. I instantly regretted leaving the bed when I saw that the only person there was Lucyâs mother, who had, of course, already spotted me.
"Good morning," I said, a bit awkwardly.
"Good morning, Ona."
"How are you? Is there anything I can help you with?"
The woman smiled. That was a first. I hadnât received a smile from her yet. Iâd had a pleasant evening yesterday, but Iâd had to ignore her to avoid feeling uncomfortable.
"Lucy told us that you donât particularly like cooking. Maybe you could set the table, if you remember where the silverware is."
I blushed furiously. Lucy had really told them that? We were going to need to have a little talk.
"Y-yes, of course," I stammered.
Weâd put the dishwasher away last night, so I remembered perfectly where everything was. I moved toward the kitchen to start looking for the plates.
"So, she was right?" Lucyâs mother asked.
I swallowed hard. Had she painted me as some sort of failure to her parents? I felt embarrassed by the answer I was about to give.
"Yes, it's true. I never really took the time to learn how to cook, but I do help Lucy from time to time since we moved in together. Well, on weekends, at least," I added, unsure of how much she actually knew.
I prefer to stay honest. Itâs not by lying that I will gain her sympathy. She doesnât respond, so I step forward to the table to set down four plates.
âAre you planning to take care of my daughter?â
The question catches me off guard. She stopped what she was doing to look me straight in the eye. I realize sheâll probably judge my answer if itâs not what she expects.
âI understand you might feel uncomfortable with my behavior,â she continues. âBut you have to understand, I only have one child. Itâs my duty to know if sheâs in good hands.â
I take a deep breath. In a way, Iâm glad she started the conversation. I would have never had the courage to do it myself. Besides, the question was simple. I just needed to answer from the heart.
âI love your daughter, so of course, Iâm going to take care of her. Sheâs my priority.â
âYou love her, huh? So, youâre not with her out of interest?â
âWhatâwhat? No!â I reply, offended. âLucy has given me so much, and I have genuine feelings for her. I would never use her.â
âReally? So thereâs no ulterior motive? Not even a financial one?â
I laugh bitterly. This woman is something else. What does she think? I can see that my attitude doesnât please her, but I canât help it. I close my eyes for a moment, clench my fists, and collect myself.
âNo, none at all,â I reply more harshly than I intended. âIf you know so much, I imagine Lucy has also told you about my fatherâs death... So you should know I inherited everything from him. Even his house in Lisbon, so you can understand that Iâm not in need financially.â
I donât like that sheâs doubting our love so much. Plus, forcing me to talk about my fatherâthatâs the last straw. Unexpectedly, her eyes soften, which is rather disconcerting. Up until now, sheâs only looked at me with judgment and coldness.
âI did hear about that tragedy. My condolences. Iâm also sorry for attacking you like this, but Iâm still Lucyâs mother, and I have to protect her. Sheâs been through enough, but you seem to be good for her.â
Her words make my heart skip a beat. What does she mean by âbeen through enoughâ? Is she referring to her relationship with Keira? I donât know why, but since what Lucy told me last week and how sheâs been acting since we got here, I have doubts that itâs just that. Something else must have happened here too.
âI observed you a lot last night. I can see that you make my daughter happy, and after this conversation, you seem like a remarkable young woman. Know that Lucy needs support, even though sheâll never admit it.â
I struggle to hide my surprise. Until now, I never noticed that Lucy needed support. On the contrary, sheâs always the one whoâs supported me.
âDonât look so surprised. Youâre already supporting her without even realizing it, so keep it up. The only thing Iâll ask of you is to never betray her or break her heart.â
I blink several times. Am I to understand that sheâs finally giving me her approval? It touches me in a way, considering the person standing in front of me. I blush despite myself and nod.
âAbsolutely not, maâam. I wouldnât even think of it. I love her far too much to do something like that. I fully intend to keep Lucy by my side forever.â
She nods calmly, with a small smile.
âGood. Iâm trusting you with my daughter, then. Take care of her. And you can call me Diane from now on.â
A weight lifts off my shoulders at those words. The conversation is going well.
âWelcome to the family, Ona.â
Definitely going well. Her words warm my heart. Sheâs clearly offering me recognition. I smile gently.
âThank you... Diane.â
âDo you like pancakes?â
âOh yes, especially Lucyâs,â I admit enthusiastically.
âWell, youâll have to settle for mine today. But they shouldnât be much different from my daughterâs since Iâm the one who taught her.â
I smile softly and nod. I continue setting the table, and when Iâm done, I hear the front door slam. My girlfriendâs laughter and Jenniâs echo in the hallway before they appear in the room.
âHello!â she says cheerfully.
Her expression shifts to surprise when she sees me here. She wasnât expecting it. After all, she asked me to wait upstairs. But that was out of the question for me. I wanted to take the opportunity to talk with her mother, and now thatâs done.
âHey,â I greet them.
âOh, you came downstairs after all.â
âYou told her to wait upstairs?â her mother scolds. âI wasnât going to eat her.â
âOh, with you, who knows,â Lucy laughs before coming over to hug me. I let myself relax until I catch a whiff of her scent. I grimace and try to push her away, but she holds on tighter.
âYou stink,â I point out.
âWhat? You donât like my natural scent?â she teases.
âYes, but definitely not your sweat.â
She laughs before kissing me. Her lips carry me away every time. Itâs as if I melt in her arms.
âEverything okay? She didnât torture you too much?â
âNo,â I giggle. âEverything went fine.â
She nods, glancing briefly at her mother, who doesnât seem concerned about us.
âAre you and your girlfriend staying for breakfast, Jenni?â she asks instead.
âNo, Iâm heading home. Iâm expected there, and I need a shower too.â
âGreat idea,â Lucy comments. âWeâll take one as well. See you this afternoon?â
âYeah, weâll text to figure something out.â
âOkay, sounds good.â
âSee you later.â
She turns around and leaves as if itâs nothing. Something tells me she feels right at home here. She seems very comfortable and well-accepted by my girlfriendâs family. Lucy catches my attention by kissing my cheek.
âAre you done here? Will you join me?â
âOh, umâŚâ
I blush. I think I understood what she meant earlier when she said âweâ to Jenni. I glance at her mother for some sort of approval. She doesnât seem to care. Sheâs not even looking at us. I turn back to Lucy, who has a mischievous expression.
âWe canât do that,â I say softly so only she can hear.
âCome on. No oneâs upstairs, and we can talk about what happened while I was gone.â
She teases me, playing with the hem of my t-shirt. I shake my head, but Lucy isnât giving up.
âMom, will you call us when itâs ready?â
âYes, go ahead. Weâll call you when itâs time.â
âPerfect, thanks.â
Lucy grabs my hand and leads me upstairs before I have a chance to understand whatâs happening. I hardly recognize her. Sheâs never been this persistent. We arrive upstairs, and she guides me into the family bathroom.
âYouâre exaggerating. We canât do this here.â
"We're not going to do anything. I just want to take a shower with you. Is that too much to ask?"
She tilts her head while teasing the back of my bra under my t-shirt. I roll my eyes but smile nonetheless. She seems to really want this moment, so I give in.
"Just a quick shower, but donât say I didnât warn you."
"Thank you, my love. Iâll go get some clothes. You get the towels ready."
She gives me a quick kiss before disappearing into her bedroom. A pretty spacious room, by the way. Itâs about the size of our room in Manchester, with fairly neutral colors. Actually, it resembles her apartmentâs style a lotâminimalistic, but very pretty and harmonious. I listen to her and go in search of the towels. This room has a bathtub, a shower, and some storage cabinets. I hope she doesnât get any ideas when she sees the bath... She's been quite playful these past few days. I jump when arms suddenly wrap around me from behind. I didnât even have time to look before sheâs already here.
"Havenât you taken your clothes off yet?" she whispers.
"I was waiting for you. And honestly, I havenât even found the towels."
I turn around to face her and also to check if the door is locked, which it is.
"Did you lock it?"
"Of course. Now, undress."
She kicks things off by stripping off her clothes, letting them fall to the floor. Unlike her, I plan on putting mine back on, so I fold them neatly. Meanwhile, she turns on the water and checks the temperature. I feel happy to be getting more comfortable around her. She makes me feel wanted. It's been a long time since Iâve felt that way.
"So, where are the towels?" I ask.
"Right here, look."
She points to a cabinet right next to the shower. I grab two for later. When I turn around, Lucy already has her hand on my waist.
"You're really eager today," I giggle. "Whatâs going on with you?"
"I donât know. I just want to spend time with you."
"Quick, remember," I say as she pulls me under the water.
"Promise," she laughs. "Just a shower," she murmurs against my lips.
I smile as she kisses me, closing the door behind her. We try to share the water jets as best as we can. The space is smaller than anything weâve been in before. Lucy keeps her promise and just focuses on washing me. She takes her time, lost in thought. I know she enjoys doing it, so I donât say anything. I like it too. The way she looks at me makes me feel like a wonder of the world. Itâs so crazy, considering how much I dislike my body.
"Everything okay?" I ask.
"Of course," she says, smiling softly. "Iâm with you, so everythingâs fine."
She says that, but I can tell somethingâs bothering her. She kisses me, so I stay quiet. I rinse off once sheâs done. Now itâs my turn to pamper her. I start with her hair. I smile when I see her close her eyes. Looks like someone really needed this. I understand better why she insisted on having me with her. I take advantage of the moment to kiss her shoulder.
"Donât start if you want me to stay calm," she mumbles.
"Oh, but you will stay calm. Itâs my turn to take care of you."
"Really, hmm?"
She sighs in contentment as I give her a scalp massage. I start to wonder if sheâs simply letting go...
"Yes. I know how to do it, and you seem to need it."
"Youâre right."
I smile. Itâs rare for her to admit things like this, especially so easily. That must mean itâs true.
"Do you want to talk about it?" I whisper.
"No."
"Ladies, dinner will be ready soon," comes the distinct voice of Lucyâs father, interrupting us.
"Weâd better hurry up," my girlfriend advises.
"Okay..."
I let it go for now. She really doesnât seem to want to talk. I get the sense Iâm not the only one whoâd prefer to escape the past... I finish washing her quickly so we can get out. The last thing I want is to upset Lucyâs parents, even if everything seems to have settled down.

here for you (yan!Suna RinatroxF!reader)
a/n this has been a wip for so long... enjoy! i'm working on a atsumu [nsfw] fic so be on the lookout for that next (unless adhd takes over and i start working on a different one instead)!
summary:: As a pro athlete and model, he's nice enough. And yet...thereâs something in your gut that says you should stay away. word count:: ~4.4k warning(s):: non-con (no smut/SFW), suna's a grade A creep/stalker, yandere!!, isolation, stockholm syndrome, horror??(i tried to make this scary but it's really not lol) Music rec:: joke's on you - charlotte lawrence
As an aspiring journalist, your dreams had all but come true when you were hired as an intern at the most prestigious sports media center in Tokyo.Â
You get to shake hands with athletes you see on television daily and most importantly, you had received an actual assignment.Â
Gone were the days of running around to get your manager coffee and spending the day shredding documents. Instead, you had been tasked with creating an in-depth piece into the most popular athlete of the yearâ Suna Rintaro of EJP Raijin.Â
You still vividly remember your first time meeting him.Â
Youâd been star-struckâ a tall, gorgeous man you had only ever seen through a screen was standing in front of you.Â
Smiling. Holding out his beautiful hand for you to shake.Â
Despite his casual demeanor, there was something off about him. Maybe it was your nerves, or the cold air circulating in the office, but there was a tug in your stomach that was warning you.Â
At the time, you had plastered an excited grin on your face and scolded yourself.Â
But looking backâ his eyes were quite cold, werenât they?
You just canât explain why you feel sick whenever you see him. In fact, despite the great task ahead of youâinterviewing and writing up an article on Sunaâ you had been avoiding him.Â
Thereâs just something in you that dreads looking into his sharp green eyes.
It doesnât help that in spite of your best efforts, you strangely run into him everywhere-- on and off the court.
âSuna?âÂ
Your voice comes out squeaky and clearly nervous.
Are your eyes deceiving you? Why would he be here, in the middle of the cereal aisle, at the small grocery store next to your dingy apartment? You have to do a double take before you can confirm that yes, it is in fact him.
Itâs late, and itâs only you, Suna, and the tired store manager. Though, at this moment, it feels like itâs only the two of you in this world.Â
âOh. Hey, y/n,â Suna says casually, flashing you his famous smirkâ the one that has his fans screaming and crying. Heâs on his knees, reading the back of a granola cereal.Â
Suna turns back to the aisle in front of him, finally placing a box into his basket. Your brain registers it as your favorite flavor (the unhealthy, chocolate-y type that youâre sure athletes shouldnât be eating).Â
What a coincidence.Â
âWhat are you doing here?âÂ
You live on the edge of Tokyo, an unfortunate 30 minute subway ride to get to the sports arena youâre working at. And you know, from Sunaâs player profile, that he lives in a luxurious high-ceiling apartment only a few blocks away from there.Â
âWhat do you mean?â Suna asks, frowning. He seems genuinely confused.Â
Are you the crazy one?Â
âOh, itâs just⌠so random, you know?âÂ
Your throat is tightening now and you feel unable to even swallow.
There are alarms blaring inside of your head, as if every fiber is irrationally telling you to run.
Suna glares at you, sharp eyes studying your smaller stature.Â
God. Another reason why you donât like this manâ heâs just too difficult to communicate with.Â
âYou live quite far away, right?âÂ
Seconds pass and youâre beginning to worry youâve said something wrong or offensive when Suna finally stands, sighing as he turns toward the registers.Â
âNo. I just moved to Kamikitazawa.âÂ
You feel that tingle again.Â
âWhat a coincidence!â You say, recovering quickly.
Fuck. You sound especially stupid right now.Â
But could you help it? Suna, a multi-millionaire, moved into your apartment building? The one inhabited by broke college students and poor retirees?Â
Was he struggling financially? Did he have a secret child like some rumors alleged? Wait, is heâ
âIâm not sure what youâre thinking, but whatever it is, youâre wrong.â
Suna and you are standing at the cash register now, and he turns to gently smile at you. You feel yourself softening.Â
Why were you scared, anyways? Heâs a world-famous athlete and model.Â
Your premonitions have been wrong in the pastâ like when you thought your boss, Kuroo, would be upset with you accidentally deleting his PC files.Â
âI see,â you murmur, âwell⌠the apartment is kind of⌠thereâs a lot of problems, you know?âÂ
The words tumble out of your mouth before you can stop them. You sound like a broken radio.
There's an awkward silence as you and Suna both try to find the words to say.Â
This is why you hate talking to him, he expects you to do all the work!
"You should know that the third elevator isn't that good. It always gets stuck on floor two. And the garbage chute at the end of every hall is kind of hard to open. You have to," you make a pulling motion, "really yank, ya know?"
Silence. Suna stares at you blankly.
You're just an absolute loser, aren't you?
He's gonna cringe, or worse, tell your advisor that you're being overfamiliar with him, an athlete 5 years your seniorâŚ
As you stand in your cheap winter boots, shivering, Suna suddenly laughs.
It's not the quiet chuckle you see him release when he's joking with Komori, but a head-throwing, mouth widening laugh.
"Uh..." you stutter, nervous.
It takes a full minute before he finally stops, silently pink at the face.
"Thanks. I'll keep that in mind," he says, lifting his shopping basket.Â
You nod repeatedly, nerves subsiding.
"Wanna walk back together?" Suna asks.Â
You hesitantly nod. Why not? It's late and dark, and though the neighborhood is calm, it never hurts to have a walking buddy.
On the walk home, to your surprise, Suna begins to talk about his team and compliments you for your article on the top liberos. Youâve never seen this side of him. Thereâs a reason why heâs so belovedâ heâs a mystery.
Youâre nearly zoning out as the two of you reach your apartment complex.Â
"Am I boring you?" Suna suddenly asks.
It's such an unexpected question, you falter for a second.
"No! I'm just... I feel relaxed. I like hearing your voice," you say, surprised.
Suna lets out a sigh of relief as he punches in the door code to the building.Â
"So. As I was saying, you want me to give you a ride tomorrow?"
"What?âÂ
"A ride. To the arena." He says, enunciating every word as if you're a child.Â
"It's okay," you start, âIââ
"Take the subway, yeah. But it's a hassle, right?"
No, it's not. In fact, it's pretty nice, seeing strangers off to their desired destinations.
But it's as if he can read your mind.
"Iâll give you a ride."Â
It's not a question anymore.
"Alright," you murmur.
The short journey to your floor is now awkward, and youâre wishing you had turned down his offer to walk together.Â
The two of you are almost at the end of the hallway now, at your apartment door. To your horror, Suna doesnât continue walking.
Instead, he simply turns around and reaches for the doorknob of the apartment just across from you.Â
Strangely, youâre just now noticing just how narrow and dark this hallway is.Â
Under the cheap fluorescent lights, you can only see the man in front of you. Sunaâs pale hands flex as he easily readjusts his heavy grocery bags, reminding you he could take you out in a moment.
âWow. Looks like weâre neighbors, huh?â Suna says, stepping into his flat.
Youâre blinking up towards him, breath cut short.
âSee you tomorrow, y/n.â
Funny. He didnât sound surprised.Â
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You're just tying your hair when the doorbell rings.
"y/n, you ready?"Â
Who wouldâve imagined hearing the Suna Rintaroâs voice at 9 AM.
You sigh as you take a final glance into the mirror. You couldnât completely hide the dark eye circles from your lack of sleepâ whoâd be able to sleep after learning a celebrity lives practically next door?
Taking a deep inhale, you push open your front door.
You instantly feel yourself healing as you take in Suna. Itâs a similar effect to watching your favorite idols perform on stageâ good looks work wonders on your tired body.
Suna leans against the wall, wearing a pair of black sweats and a thin blue hoodie. With a start, you can't help but notice it's almost a couple set with your blue sweater and black skirt.
"Good morning," he says, sliding his phone into his pocket. You nod in response.Â
As you walk down the hall together to the elevators, you can't help but flush. Is this what it'd be like to have a boyfriend? As a student dedicated to her craft, youâd never felt the urge to date, remaining single your entire life. You canât help but wonder what itâd be like to be Suna Rintaroâs.Â
âOh! Whatâs this!â Kiana, a middle-aged woman, calls out as you and Suna wait for the elevator.Â
ây/n! You never told me you got a boyfriend! And such a handsome one, too! Oh, if I was only a little youngerâŚâÂ
You and Suna make eye contact and you blush, quickly turning towards the smiley woman, ready to retort. Â
âWeâreââ You barely make out a word before Suna suddenly takes your hand.
âGood morning, maâam. Iâm Suna Rintaro, y/nâs boyfriend. I just moved into apartment 306.âÂ
At his words, both your and Kianaâs eyes widen.
Yours in confusion, hers in wonder as she recognizes the handsome stranger.Â
âI know you! I know you! Youâre Suna, from that team! Oh, my son is such a fan! I can't believe you're living here! Heâll be so excited."
As Suna and Kiana make small talk, you try to discreetly shake your sweaty hand out of Sunaâs grasp. To your bewilderment, he continues gripping onto it, so hard you can feel his short fingernails digging into your soft skin.Â
To your relief, the elevator chimes, and as Suna waves goodbye (you do too, out of habit), you gasp as he yanks you into the elevator.
"What was that?" You ask, nervously looking up at your âboyfriend.âÂ
Sunaâs eyes are hard as he stares down at you, but heâs glowing all the same, as if heâd just received a gift.Â
âSaying weâre a couple. What was that about?â
Suna hums innocently.Â
"I just thought it would be most convenient to tell her that. People will see us together from now on."Â
No, they won't.Â
âIt would confuse them to have to explain youâre an intern.â
Was that so complicated?
But with his mischievous smirk and the way he taps his foot against the elevator floor, you just canât find the courage to refute.Â
âAlright⌠but could you let go?â You ask uncomfortably.
"Ah, right," he says, letting you free.Â
You rub your hands together, easing the circulation back.Â
Strangely, it feels especially cold without his grip on you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Wake up."Â
Awakening with a start, you rub your eyes.Â
You can't help but admit you could get addicted to free rides with Suna.Â
His car is just too nice; the seats are fluffy and he turned on the heater to just the right temperature and there's soft piano playing from the speakers.
How long have you been out?Â
Taking in your surroundings, you're surprised to find you're already at the Tokyo Volleyball Arena. You almost jump in shock as you realize whatâs warming your lapâ a box of your favorite strawberry waffles.Â
âWhatâs this?â You question as Suna wordlessly hands you a fork.Â
"I thought you might be hungry.âÂ
Suna slides a cup into your open handâ matcha.Â
So he is a nice man, after all.Â
âWow, Suna! Let me please pay you back!âÂ
Your stomach grumbles as you take a bite of the sweet breakfast.Â
âNo, no, itâs on me.âÂ
How could you make it up to him? Maybe you should bake him cookies or something⌠you shift in your seat, frowning as you realize your bare thigh is strangely damp. Rubbing your thighs together, your eyebrows furrow.
âOh,â Suna says, biting into his scrambled eggs, âsorry. That was me, I got some coffee on you while you were sleeping, so I wiped it away," he says sheepishly, gesturing towards the pack of wet wipes in the glove compartment.
He looks embarrassed, avoiding eye contact, so you don't push it any further.
He's kind of cute, you think.
It kind of feels too perfectâ the plush comfort of Sunaâs luxury car, the sweetness of the waffles, and the delicious matcha, albeit slightly salty.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey, y/n, which movie should we watch?" Suna calls from your couch.Â
You're in the kitchen, preparing popcorn in your small microwave.
"Studio Ghibli!" You shout back, stirring the hot chocolate, âI have a whole bunch downloaded, just choose one.âÂ
It's become a regular occurrence for the two of you to spend much of your free time together. At first, Suna had gently coaxed you into spending time with you under the guise of doing more research for the article youâre writing about him, but now youâve grown to genuinely enjoy his company.
From morning rides to office lunches to casual dinners, it's like your life has been consumed by Suna. Your gut had been wrong, after all, because Suna treats you like a girlfriendâ although youâd long shook away that silly thoughtâ heâd never see a younger, broke student that way.Â
But despite your brain knowing everything is just fine, your heart has yet to be rewired. It still pounds with discomfort, as if it knows that fundamentally, somethingâs wrong.Â
You just canât identify or place a label on that problem.Â
More recently, youâve been getting hit with strong deja vu from that one night at the grocery store months ago.Â
As if itâs only the two of you on this planet.Â
Sighing, you take your place next to Suna, glancing at your phone. It remains still, screen dark.
âWhatâs wrong?â Suna asks, frowning. He pushes up his black glasses, running his fingers through his damp hair.
You hesitate. Itâs fine to share this, right? After all, it feels like Sunaâs all you have right now.
âWell⌠Iâm not sure why, but I think my friends are mad at me. For the past few months, theyâve been silent. They donât really respond to me anymore, and when they do they just say theyâre busy.â
Suna nods, reaching for your hand. You welcome the warmth of his fingers, blinking back tears.
âAnd even worse, my family hardly contacts me. I used to call my mom basically everyday. I think thereâs something really wrong, Suna, Iâm really worried.â
âHow long has this been going on?â Suna has the movie paused now, full attention on you. He gently strokes your hair and the kind gesture has tears pooling in your eyes.
âFor a few months⌠maybe⌠four? I didnât realize it at first because of how busy Iâve been at work and with the article Iâm writing on you,â you mumble, allowing Suna to embrace you.Â
Heâs gently rocking you back and forth now, rubbing your back, whispering kind words into your ear, telling you itâs okay and theyâre probably just busy tooâŚ
Minutes pass before you finally look up, eyes widening as you take in his facial expression.Â
Despite his sweet words, Sunaâs eyes are completely blank and thereâs a questionable, small smile on his face. You barely recognize him.
ây/n?âÂ
You blink, and take in an inaudible breath as you stare at Suna.Â
He cocks his head, confused. He looks at you with nothing but affection and concern, thin lips pressed into a frown.Â
Your heartbeat slows as you realize that, yet again, youâd just been seeing and feeling things wrongâ whenever youâre around Suna, itâs as if you lose sense of your surroundings.Â
Smiling, you sniffle as you wipe away your tears.Â
âSorry for getting emotional at movie night.â
Suna grins, giving you a final gentle hug before turning back to the television.
âDonât be. Iâm always here for you, y/n.â
â----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Suna, this question has been long requested by your fanbase. How do you express love?Â
A: Dedication. I give my all to my lover, no questions asked.
Oh, and I donât like to share.
Thereâs suddenly a knock at your door, causing you to jump. You put down your laptop, where your open article draft sits nearly complete.Â
The lightning storm outside has you shaking and you just wish Suna was here, holding you and laughing at his silly responses to your even stupider interview questions.Â
Another knock at the door.Â
Strangeâ Sunaâs practice runs for extra long today for his upcoming tournament. Maybe he finished early.Â
âSuna, why didnât you call before practice finished? We couldâve gone out for dinner,â you scold as you pull open the door.Â
âWhat the hell are you talking about?âÂ
Standing in front of you is your furious older sister, drenched from the rainstorm outside.Â
âOh my god! Come in!â You say, alarmed. You reach towards her wrist, but she remains planted in place.Â
âWhat the fuck is wrong with you?âÂ
Sheâs angrier than youâve ever seen her.Â
âHow could you tell us to fuck off? You really think your journalism is that important? Your writing isnât more important than family, you asshole! Itâll never be important!âÂ
Taking a deep breath, your sister lets go, immediate regret evident on her face. She opens her mouth to apologize, but youâre not having any of it.Â
Anger is coursing through your body now and you shove your sister away, causing her to stumble against Sunaâs door.Â
Your family has never supported your careerâ from when you were just a child, youâd had to work hard for your own future.Â
So this is why they had shunned you? Because they canât stand seeing you successful? Because you had moved away from the countryside to make something out of yourself in the city?
Tears stream down your face as you tremble.
âMy writing is important,â you whisper. Your sister nods quickly, opens her mouth againâ
âDonât come by anymore. Donât consider me a part of the family anymore.â
âNo, Iâm sorryâ I think thereâs a miscommunication, y/n! Wait!â
Slamming the door on her shocked face, you stumble towards the couch.Â
It feels as though youâre going to dieâ the room spins as your lungs strive for air and your vision is becoming increasingly blurry.Â
The sound of rain and your sister pounding on the door intertwine, and as you bury your head into a pillow, you really just wish Suna was at your side.Â
â----------------------------------------------------------------------------
ây/n?âÂ
Someoneâs tugging at your sleeve, and you glance up, blinking uncomfortably at the bright lights of the living room. Thereâs dried tear streaks on your face and youâre sure you look like a miserable ogre, but Suna looks at you with nothing but compassion as he hugs you, alarmed.
Heâs slightly dampâprobably a combination of sweat from practice and the rain outsideâbut you hold onto him eagerly as he eases you onto his lap.Â
âWhat happened?âÂ
You shake your head, explaining what had happened in the few hours when heâd been gone.Â
Sunaâs furious on your behalf, jaw tight and fists clenched.Â
âThank god I told your sister to fuck off. She was standing at your door, yelling curses and threatening to call the police,â he mutters.
Tears spring to your eyes again. This only confirms the reality of your life nowâ your family (and probably friends, too) absolute despise you.Â
 âDonât worry, y/n. Iâll always be here for you,â Suna whispers.Â
His words are somewhat like a relaxant to you. Taking a deep breath, you lean into his chest, sighing.Â
âI donât think I can write anymore, Suna. I donât want to. What have I been working towards my whole life?âÂ
Suna remains silent for a moment, studying your sorrowful face, before leaning in to brush his nose against yours. Your eyes shift, admiring his gorgeous olive ones.
âYour journalism is amazing, y/n. And⌠if you hadnât worked so hard, we mightâve never met, right?â
You smile sadly.
âI guessâŚâ
ây/n, how about you wrap up your article tonight? Youâre almost done, arenât you?â
You gesture towards your open laptop on the coffee table.Â
âItâs done, but itâs shit. My sisterâs right, itâs not worth anything,â you say, embarrassed. Youâve always known you were talentless, which is why youâve always worked harder. But it amounted to nothing in the end.Â
You press your cold hands against your burning eyes as Suna picks up your laptop, skimming through what youâve written about him.Â
If even he hates it⌠thatâs it. Youâre not sure how youâre supposed to go on.Â
ây/n, will you look at me?âÂ
Sunaâs gently tugging at your hands covering your face. Biting your lip nervously, you let him take your hands into one of his.Â
âWant my honest opinion?â He asks, placing the laptop onto your lap. You nod, staring down at the bright screen.
âThis is the best thing anyoneâs written about me.â
You close your eyes, shaking your head.Â
âDonât lie.â
ây/n. Iâm serious. This shows exactly the side I wanted the public to know about me. Itâs intimate, but written formally enough to be taken seriously by the media.âÂ
When you donât respond, Suna sighs sadly.Â
âI guess you donât want the opinion of a dumb athlete, thoughâŚâ
Frantically, you look up, shocked.
âOf course not! Suna, your opinion is everything to me!âÂ
Relief settles in your stomach as Suna grins, eyes shining.Â
âReally?â
âOf course! Thank you⌠That really means a lot to me.â
Suna nods, rambling about how much he loves that sentence here, the use of punctuation thereâŚ
âWhatâs wrong?â He asks, noticing you look down again.Â
âI⌠just feel like I have nobody but you, Suna.â
Suna smiles at you, waving towards the polaroids of your friends and family hung on the wall.Â
âIâm sure theyâll come around again, y/n.âÂ
Your nose crinkles as you cringe at the photos. You want them gone. You want all of the references towards them gone.Â
You want to get out of here.
âI hate this apartment, actually. They helped me decorate it and everything,â you sigh.
âWell then, how about we move out together?âÂ
You fiddle your thumbs, headache threatening to return.
âI donât have that type of money,â you say, frustrated. Itâs easy for a world-class athlete like him to just up and leave, but youâd never be able to, not unless you dropped out of school and found a job elsewhere.Â
ây/n, Iâve just remembered. I have an apartment near our stadium, right? How about you move there for the rest of your internship?â
You hesitate. Intruding into the home of a man youâre not even in a relationship with? While the offer is temptingâŚ
âDonât worry about anything, y/n. Donât think too hard about it.âÂ
Sunaâs gently rubbing circles onto the side of your hands and you feel like melting away, exhausted.Â
All that crying and anger has truly taken a toll on you. Your eyelids flutter as you finally nod.
âOkay.â
â----------------------------------------------------------------------------
âAre you sure?âÂ
Now that itâs come to actually burning the photos, youâre hesitating. Aside from the few photographs on the walls, your apartment is completely bare, all of your belongings now residing in Sunaâs luxury condo.
ây/n. You donât need them anymore.â
You pause, the lighter in your hand feeling heavier by the second. With this, youâre truly erasing all parts of your former family and friends. Just then, your phone buzzesâ you barely need to look at it to know itâs a string of curses from your ex-best friend.Â
Suna grimaces as he deletes the message, examining you out of the corner of his eye.
âYouâre right, Suna. I donât.â
You watch as the pictures go up in flames, holding back tears.Â
Looking around your now empty apartment, Suna wraps his arm around your shoulders.Â
âI always thought your walls would look better bare.â
â----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In and out.Â
In and out.
Thereâs something so comforting about the way you breathe.Â
Youâre lying motionless on Sunaâs large bed, curled into a ball.Â
Adorable.
Sighing, Suna collapses next to you, admiring your eyebrows, the curve of your nose, your lipsâŚ
When was the last time heâd felt this content? Reaching out, Suna gently tucks your hair behind your ears, admiring the small s shaped earrings adoring them.Â
Bringing you here was the best option. Itâd taken him a little longer than heâd hoped, but now you were truly in the palm of his hand.
Heâd almost slipped up a few times (your gut was much smarter than you) but everything had worked out, hadnât it.
Since the day heâd first met you nearly a year ago, Suna knew youâd be his.Â
Heâs not sure why, but thereâs this thing about himâ sometimes, when he sees something, he wants it.Â
And heâll do anything to make sure itâs entirely his.
You mumble in your sleep, rolling over to face the large windows that present the city of Tokyo below his feet.Â
He has it all now.Â
His phone vibratesâ messages from your concerned father.Â
Rolling his eyes, Suna silently reaches over to your phone, which lies innocently next to your small hand, and unlocks it (the password being his birthday, obviously).Â
Without hesitation, Suna begins wiping out all traces of the code heâs implanted into your phone.Â
There would be no more reason to reroute your messages to himself anymore.
Next, Suna makes sure all of your family and friendsâ contacts are blocked.Â
Ensuring your safety is a top priority of his.Â
He squeezes your device in his large hand, wondering if he should just break it.Â
If Suna had it his way completely, heâd rather you not have a phone at all.Â
Tossing your phone back onto your side of the bed, Suna smirks as he unlocks his own device.Â
Desperate messages from your sister pop up, warning you of your tall neighbor, he threatened to kill me if i didnât leave y/n please get away from him and go to the police!
Suna slides his thumb across the screen, removing the messages from his screen, and disconnects his phone from yours.
After all, you wouldnât be getting contacted by those nuisances anymore.Â
Almost done, then he can sleep peacefully with youâSuna sends the email heâs been working on: a PDF attachment of your final draft of your article on him and a short message of your resignation as an intern, written by yours truly.Â
Turning over, Suna locks the bedroom door, smiling.Â
Thereâs no need for anyone else.Â
Not when heâs always going to be here for you.
