NEED the haikyuu timeskip to be animated. not because seeing ninja shouyou and the adler's/jackals match would fix me spiritually physically and mentally, but because i have a deep-seeded urge to edit hinata shouyou to any. ANY chase atlantic song and i refuse to do that if the only clips i have of him are him at age 15
#and no i refuse to use the manga because animating manga panels is actual torture#that's right lads fanfic isn't the only way i'm contributing to fanmade content😎#but i don't/rarely do those basic velocity edits you see on tiktok. nono... i'm an instagram editor through and through#idgaf if my velocity edits do 1000 times better than my regular ones. i would rather spend 5 hours on an edit i'm proud of just to appeal to#the 3 people who will see it rather than spend 15 minutes on something that can hardly be called an edit#to those who have read this far and are intrigued: i post my edits on instagram#my users are @sipping.teamv and @zojnks_#one is for real life people and the other is for anime and cartoons and stuff :)#i just posted a death note edit the other day and it's flipping HARD but idc because i think it looks cool#volleyball guys

Kuroshitsuji Theory - Who Summoned the Demon?
So I realize I have never even once reblogged Kuroshitsuji to this blog, but lately I’ve been so consumed by this manga and this one particular theory won’t stop haunting me. It’s been an eternity since I really got taken in by a juicy piece of media like this (maybe since my Death Note days), so I figured I really needed to get it off my mind by writing it out.
This is- quite long, lmao. And I’m not sure if someone has already made this theory, because I only recently started diving into the fandom. Spoilers begin under the cut.
I’m gunna start off by saying that I can’t believe someone actually pulled off the “[Character] has had a secret twin the entire time!” and it was honestly one of the best, well executed plot twists in all of manga. I only just recently got back into this story, having loved it back in like 2010 but never seen more than the first two seasons of the anime. I was actually shocked to learn that the story was still going on ten years later, and got so excited I accidentally spoiled this big plot reveal before I started reading the manga. At first I was mad at the thought of it, but the fact that Yana Toboso had laid out hints since book two had me stoked. I quickly became obsessed with finding all of the hints to this beautifully planned plot twist, and in the end I’m glad I was spoiled of this because it was such a joy finding all the little Easter eggs I would have bypassed if I had not known.
But it also made me very wary of other plot twists that could possibly happen. It made me suspicious of moments where something is just ever so slightly off; that might not be translation miscommunication, but rather something more. Specifically around chapter 135 is when something caught my attention. After the mansion is attacked on December 14th and the twins are sold to a mysterious man, Our!Ciel seems to have a glimmer of hope that things will get better. We can already see how Real!Ciel seems to be more cautious than O!Ciel. He doesn’t buy into the hope like O!Ciel does so easily; he knows that something is going to go very wrong.
Yono has laid out the differences between the twins so well; it’s as subtle in their personalities as it is in the wisps of their bangs. Specifically, a few chapters earlier gave us insight to how protective R!Ciel is of his younger twin. We also get a whole segment about how upset he is by the idea of O!Ciel leaving him in the distant future to own a toy shop outside of the Phantomhive land; he is so devastated by this idea that he refuses to leave his bed to go to class.
He seems specifically upset that O!Ciel has no qualm about leaving his older brother. This is a key moment for R!Ciel- that perhaps his younger brother doesn’t need him as much as R!Ciel needs to protect him. Fast forward a few chapters, and in the midst of their torture we have moments when R!Ciel continues to vehemently protect his younger brother as much as he could while locked in that cage. Offering words of encouragement, promising that they’ll make it out. But then the culmination of events comes to a head, and R!Ciel shows that he is once again more wary than his younger brother.
See, we had been made to believe that the choice between brothers was a random one by the next pages.
And then we are made to believe that this is a sacrifice made by O!Ciel to summon the demon. The demon continually says as such, but this is where I get thrown off in the following panels.
Certain things about this just don’t line up. In order for the demon to appear, a soul needed to be sacrificed to it as an offering. O!Ciel, however, doesn’t even seem fully aware until this moment that this meant his brother was officially dead. He saw his brother stabbed, certainly, but the state of shock hadn’t settled in yet to absorb the fact that R!Ciel was truly dead. A few pages later and we get:
O!Ciel is completely confused as how how he would have sacrificed his brother’s soul to a demon. He had no conscious thought about summoning the demon; certainly, he had several pages of wishing death upon everyone else in the room after seeing his brother stabbed, but he didn’t seem aware of the fact that his brother was truly dead until he pieces it together at the demon’s hint.
This raises the question: is it even possible to accidentally sacrifice someone to summon a demon? O!Ciel had no choice in the matter at all, about his brother being taken over him, and he seemed to be in complete denial about all of it. Further, there is a whole page after R!Ciel is taken where O!Ciel begs someone to help save R!Ciel. There is something to be said about it being subconscious, as if maybe O!Ciel had been preferring death to this torture without realizing it also meant he was wishing for his brother’s death. But to me, what seemed much more in character:
It was R!Ciel who summoned the demon, using his own soul as sacrifice.
It would make sense for R!Ciel to come to this conclusion in those moments before death. He was more perceptive to the upcoming danger than O!Ciel; he knew what the society was boiling down their torture toward. While it seemed O!Ciel was shocked by the turn of events, R!Ciel seemed to have pieced it together. He knew one of them was going to die.
And if I can pick his brain, it’s easy to see his choices lay out in front of him. If one of them were to die, would R!Ciel simply hand over the brother he spent his whole life to protect? Wasn’t he painfully aware that O!Ciel didn’t have the separation anxiety he himself felt when he was apart from his twin? He knew that O!Ciel would be able to live without him, but he was unsure if he would be able to do the same. Didn’t it take his parents telling him that he would still be able to help his brother with the toy shop by being head of Phatomhive for him to agree to let O!Ciel pursue that dream on his own? R!Ciel wouldn’t be able to help a dead O!Ciel; it would leave him truly alone the way his own death wouldn’t. After all he still needed to protect his younger brother.
To protect his younger brother. How would he be able to protect his younger brother with his death? Certainly O!Ciel would be next on the sacrifice table- unless. Unless they managed to summon the demon on the first try. The only way to buy a bit of time for O!Ciel would be if they were to summon the demon with R!Ciel’s soul. Or better- if R!Ciel was able to summon the demon on O!Ciel’s behalf, the demon would then belong to O!Ciel, wouldn’t it? R!Ciel would have no way to be certain, but what more could he have done? He was on his last rope. It was either try and O!Ciel would be gifted power great enough to acquire freedom, or create enough of a pandemonium that O!Ciel could possibly slip free.
Whether R!Ciel came to this conclusion in the cage or not is irrelevant. “”It was a choice made without reason” my ass. Perhaps to O!Ciel, at least; we all know it could very well be missing panels- we know how much Yana loves to do that. R!Ciel could have swayed the choice somehow. Even if he came to the conclusion as he was being dragged away and set on the table, it would still be valid.
This leaves the demon choosing to latch onto O!Ciel for some reason. We see him wander about for a bit uncertain of who had summoned him. Perhaps with R!Ciel’s soul eaten, it was harder for him to place that. But then he caught onto O!Ciel; someone similar enough to the one who had summoned him to fool everyone in his life for three years into thinking he was the other. The demon may or may not have been aware that it wasn’t exactly the same person to summon him. I don’t think it changes much, seeing as the only thing the demon cares about is his next meal. After all, he’s used to getting at least two meals per summoning, and if he ate the summoner’s life as his first, then what? Or he could have been unaware, and after all, hadn’t the boy in the cage been denying god? Hadn’t he just lost his twin brother? It certainly seems he is the only person in the room who could have summoned him. After all, who would sacrifice their own life to summon a demon? Wasn’t the purpose of summoning a demon to then be granted its power? Certainly the demon has never encountered that before, so why would he assume he already ate the summoner’s soul to get there?
On the denying god thing, I do think that R!Ciel had certainly been swayed to do so in his last moments. The parallel of this moment, O!Ciel convincing R!Ciel that god doesn’t exist, could very possibly been going through his head.
Yana loves a good parallel.
But this also begs to answer questions about what the reconstructed R!Ciel is up to in the latest chapters. Could someone so protective of his younger brother be ruining his life as such? There is still so much in the air about this, this theory aside, that it’s hard to tell. It seems he is upset that his twin brother escaped without him, didn’t use the demon to save him like he would have for his twin. But it is also in the air that this version of R!Ciel is even the real Real!Ciel. After all, his soul was definitely eaten by Sebastian. With the reanimated body, did the original soul come back, or a copy? Is the soul a clone? And if it is, can that soul really be considered the same as the original? The shinigami were called back for the reanimated corpses, but none that we know of so far came back for Ciel Phantomhive- perhaps because they too got confused by O!Ciel taking his name? Who knows.
And more importantly, would that mean that Sebastian should truly belong to R!Ciel? This concerns me because of how much the demon stresses that he would never take upon two contracts at once, and makes a special exception to allow it into the third clause, even though it is technically its own clause. I could see R!Ciel using this to his advantage in whatever game he is trying to play, though I’m not sure how effective it would be.
This theory has been kicking my ass the past few weeks. It blooms the story open for me in ways that get me too excited for the upcoming chapters to only be once a month. I need ANSWERS, MS. TOBOSO.

Now for part two I will be doing Ichihime.
Honestly I knew Ichihime would be endgame from early on in the manga and series.
A lot of IR claim that Ichihime doesnt make sense or that they have no development..which at this point I think this is what any anti for any pairing in every anime say.. because that's obviously not true at all.
Even from the very beginning.. not only do we know that Orihime likes Ichigo, but Ichigo seems to pay attention to Orihime, extra close at times.
In this panel, he admits that he worries about her and watching her wears him out with worry, he even wonders if she's really alright. Now its important to remember that this is fairly earlier in the story and at this time Orihime is only an acquaintance at best..but here he is worrying about her.
Not only does he notice her getting hurt...but during the Fullbringer arc he said that she was more likely to get followed or stalked than him when Orihime asked if anyone has been following him.
Hell he's even offered to walk her home.
Weird considering they're only acquaintances at this point right? While I know it's rare for the shounen protagonist to have a crush right off the bat..for arguments sake let's say you look at ichihime interactions with the idea that Ichigo has some sort of crush on Orihime. I feel like his interactions with her make more sense throughout the series and keep this I mind through this post.
Now antis always love to say that Orihime didn't understand Ichigo or couldn't encourage him like Rukia could..but..
Here! Even Tatsuki who has known him since childhood couldn't tell it wasnt Ichigo or his other friends.. but Orihime does notice..she knows that's not him right away.
And here Orihime right away knew he wasn't acting like himself...even Tatsuki was impressed, she said it took her years to figure that out.
Oh yeah she cant encourage him right?? Not only did she give Ichigo the resolve to go save Rukia..but during the Grimmjow fight.. Ichigo was so afraid of frightening Orihime with his mask that he wasn't focusing on the battle.. know think about that..he was so scared to frighten Orihime he wasn't fighting..knowing he could die or get really hurt.
I also hear antis say that Orihime is horrible for being scared of Ichigo when he was still fighting to save her but they need to understand that in the first few chapters of bleach..Orihime was attacked by her brother..her beloved brother, the only family she ever had before he died and he attacked her..as a hollow..and now she's looking at the man she loves with a hollow mask and she's afraid FOR him not necessarily OF him..she's afraid he'll turn completely hollow( which is fair, considering he does later during the ulquiorra fight).
Then all she had to say " please dont die..you dont have to fight for me and you dont have to win..just please dont get hurt". And Ichigo was ready to fight for real..then beat Grimmjow.
She was also able to feel his pain somehow and knew he was crying when he got his powers stolen despite her being far away from him at the time.
Not to mention at this time she was brainwashed by Tsukishima making her and Chad think Ichigo was the one going crazy, but even though she was brainwashed to think it was Tsukishima who she loved..her heart knew better and still felt Ichigo's pain even without seeing him.
Not to mention she was able to see he had a plan to defeat Ywach just from one look into his eyes.
So yeah.. Orihime does understand Ichigo more than most..and just because Rukia does too doesnt mean he should be with her.
And on Ichigo's side antis also say he doesn't care about Orihime only Rukia..and if he does care it's only because Ichigo is protective of his friends.
Now it's clear through the whole series that Ichigo does care about all his friends..but it's also apparent that Ichigo does hold Orihime to a different standard.
This is not far into the story..at this point they are still only classmates and only a few pages ago Ichigo refused to take over Rukia's Soul reaper duties..until he found out a hollow was after Orihime.
Or when Yammy and Ulquiorra hurt Orihime..they also hurt Tatsuki and Chad but he was shown to be obsessing over Orihime ( despite the fact she could literally reverse her injuries) and the fact Tatsuki was a human with no powers should've made him worry over her more..but he felt so guilty for not protecting Orihime he couldn't even look her in the eyes..it got so bad that Rukia made him go to her and look her in the eye and he vowed to never let anyone hurt her again, pluse he didn't apologize to anyone else..just Orihime. I also find it funny how Rukia seems to be a ichihime shipper while her fans hate Orihime and want her to be with Ichigo..I find it funny.
Then we all know how hurt he was when Orihime got taken to Hueco Mundo.. Yes I understand he did rescue Rukia as well but he even said its because he owed her..and he did he owe her his and his families lives..and she was his friend and only on death row because of him. But with Orihime she chose to go to protect her friends and Ichigo had no obligations to her other than she was his friend..
He also walked around like a zombie not even caring when Tatsuki beat the hell out of him asking where Orihime was. He even yelled and threw a fit at the captain commander(you know the strongest soul reaper alive) for suggesting she was a traitor..
He even went against the entire soul society wishes (as a substitute soul reaper no less) to go find Orihime in Hueco Mundo.
One of my favorite scenes is when Ichigo was hurrying to go help Chad and Rukia who were badly injured at the time..when Ulquiorra appears and tries to goad him into a fight.. nothing works until Ulquiorra mentions he was the one who brought Orihime to Hueco Mundo ..which in turn infuriates Ichigo and he swings his sword at him in a blind rage..(remember he was supposed to be helping Chad and Rukia who were injured) but he was so angry that he was the one who brought Orihime there...he didn't say he hurt her or tortured her...he only said he brought her. And. Ichigo. Flipped.
One of my other favorite scenes is when he almost literally rises from near death to get Grimmjow's hands off of Orihime
LET GO OF HER! Was the first thing he says never mind he was almost dead a few minutes ago and still can barely stand. And look at that face his eyes mean business.
And of course one of the most epic Ichihime moments is when Ulquiorra defeats Ichigo and kills him.. he hears Orihime calling for help as Ulquiorra advances to her.. and as he's dying he hears her and tells himself he needs to help her and protect her..even in death he needs to protect her. And yes I'm aware that his inner hollow is the one keeping him from dying..but the only reason Hichigo doesnt completely take over Ichigo and lose his humanity was his will to protect Orihime. Ichigo was chanting " help her", "help her", over and over like a mantra..that's was the last shred of his humanity and even his last shred of humanity wanted nothing more than to protect Orihime.
Not only is Ichigo extra protective of Orihime..but he get flustered around her too.
Like during The Thousand Year Blood War Arc.. when Ichigo was asked by Chad if he liked Orihime's outfit ( Which was very revealing..especially in the boob area) and Ichigo was blushing like an idiot of course.
While most antis swear it's just because Orihime is very beautiful and has a very large chest..remember Chad or Uryu didn't react despite them being males as well..just Ichigo.
Not only that but all of Ichigos enemies always use Orihime to bait him into fights. Enemies like Grimmjow, Nnotora, Ulquiorra, and even Ginjo..they all taunted him about how he was so determined to protect Orihime that they would use her presence to push Ichigo into fighting them.
Antis also claim that they didn't develop.. they went from classmate acquaintances to friends fighting side by side in battle. Orihime went from being shy and stuttering and being nervous in his room to borrowing manga from him and just marching in his room and both teasing each other. Ichigo also went from wanting to protect Orihime by leaving her on the side lines and out of harm's way.. to trusting her to be his shield in battle.
IR"s also claim that Rukia is better than Orihime because she's stronger. Now I know Rukia is strong no doubt..especially when she finally releases her bankai. But for most of the series she hardly does anything..even my husband noticed she only won like two or three fight the whole series and most of the time she was so beat up after she looks like she lost the fight. I'm not trying to talk down on Rukia I love her actually.. it's just is you go back and read the manga..Rukia didn't do much either.. plus Orihime actually has a really really OP power she just doesn't have the heart to hurt anyone so she usually uses her shield or healing, but just like Rukia they didn't do much with her powers.
In the end Ichihime had quite a bit of development..I'm not saying Rukia and Ichigo didnt have a bond..because they had a strong one..but that doesn't always mean romantic..I always felt it was more brother/ sister type than anything. But if you go back and look at all of the Ichihime moments you'll realize their bond as well..you'll realize that Orihime was always their during the really important times and fights.. like the Grimmjow fight, Ulquiorra, fight, the Nnotora fight, his Fullbringer training, his Visored training, and she stood side by side with him in the Ywach fight.
He was actually separated from Rukia more than he was with her..even when they were in the same places..they were always separated. Kubo..I feel made it very clear from early on that ichihime would be endgame..I feel some people were just in denial.

13x22: Exodus
The best part of this episode? It's months before we get another Bucklemming episode!
--Actually the real best part of this episode was the brother hug. Short but such a sweet scene, just the capper that the angst of 13x21 demanded. (And that we didn't get in 12x02, and I am very glad season 13 managed to get back on the brothers train.) ...Also from what I've seen mentioned from the SPNUK con panels, J2 pretty much wrote it themselves, which explains a lot.
There was more I liked. Dean wanting to kill Lucifer dead on sight, yes, please. Make that happen. More importantly, Dean trusting Sam to handle Lucifer -- and not only saying so but following through. Him going through the rift first at the end there was one of the deepest signs of trust imaginable. (And I have no doubt Dean was standing by the rift back in the bunker, ready to dive back through if it started closing and Sam wasn't through -- but he waited, believing Sam would show, and then he did.) I was disappointed that Sam didn't get to stab Lucifer rather than just shove him away -- even if it wouldn't have killed him, would've been gratifying to see. But at least Sam got a moment. (As for the question of how they're going to get back to the AU with no archangel grace, @owehimeverything was guessing that Sam believed Jack could do it? But you'd think Sam could've swiped a little grace from Lucifer before he left.)(Just a little stabbing, is that too much to ask?)
AU!Michael is thoroughly unconvincing as a big bad -- we just have seen so little of him, there's no sense of what drives him or what he really intends to do. But damn that actor is smoking hot.
And I liked the rescue -- okay, it was pretty small-scale when you're talking about a world, but it was a good solution to Mary's dilemma, I like how quickly Sam thought of it and how quickly Dean jumped on board, and hey, I'm always up for saving people along with hunting things. (I do want to know how they apparently made it from Sioux Falls to Kansas in 2 hours, in a bus, on unpaved roads? Is the USA just smaller in the Apocaverse? It was pointed out that AU!Bobby’s camp wasn’t in Sioux Falls, and I’d forgotten the rift conveniently wasn’t in Kansas anyway but Kentucky. They are damned lucky everyone was so close, though. And also that they had one of those rare off-roading buses.)
Plus the boys riding in a Jeep gave me such Saiyuki flashes, oh man. (Minekura's Saiyuki, of course, which for those not in the know is a manga/anime series about four guys on a roadtrip through a demon-ridden fantasy land who have collectively about as much angst and tangled-up, agonizing and beautiful devotion as the Winchester brothers.)
The rest of the ep. Well.
As has been discussed much elsewhere, the whole conceit of everyone talking in vague terms to Jack about Lucifer being evil, without once specifying any of the many, many, many terrible things he's done, is just so absurd and so breaks the suspension of disbelief that it's mind-boggling. I cannot come up with a single in-character reason for it.
Maybe I can imagine Sam not being able to bring himself to speak of it, given that he hasn't ever really been able to talk about it with anyone. But him trying and going speechless would say a lot in itself. And even if Sam couldn't bring himself to do that much, Dean sure as hell could tell Jack about trying to pick up the pieces after Sam nearly shattered from just his memories of the Cage. Or what about Cas, who took Sam's pain and trauma then?
There's other things they could tell Jack too. Like about the many people killed when Lucifer tried to start an Apocalypse -- Jack is so angry about Michael, he needs to know that his father is the exact same kind of monster.
They could've played it that they try to tell Jack any of this and Jack refuses to listen -- it would be a bit OOC for Jack, but having everyone else be so wildly OOC is so much worse.
I wasn't sure how sympathetic we were supposed to feel for Lucifer -- whether he was meant to make you feel something at the end, or were you supposed to despise him for aping feelings he has no right to? Or just assume he's playing Michael? (Let's hope it's that last.)(Also I know he cried at one point but I have no idea why as @owehimeverything needed to get to bed so we did some fastforwarding. If anyone writes up a transcript of the ep I might read the Lucifer parts so I know what's happening, but no way am I going to subject myself to his dialog otherwise.)
Dean ordering Jack not to listen to Lucifer was just stupid -- come on, Dean's dealt with teenagers, he knows the surefire way to get them to do anything is to tell them not to do it. That's all I'll say about that because I'm running out of ways to express my frustration with the heroes being made into morons to advance the so-called story.
--No, I have more; it's also annoying because in some contexts it could almost make sense, if Lucifer actually were the honey-tongued snake he's supposed to be, Dean could be that desperate for Jack to just not listen to him. But that's not the case. The only reason Lucifer can talk his way out of anything is because everyone else's tongues were cursed. Like, Sam isn’t able to convince Jack not to go after Michael, but Lucifer can? No. That's just silly. No.
Also why is everyone ignoring Jack at the party at the end? They could all see he was getting close to Lucifer; it doesn’t occur to anyone that he might be distressed that Lucifer didn’t come through? Why is no one talking to Jack? They’re setting it up for Jack to take Lucifer’s side in the finale and it’s going to be sympathetic on Jack’s part because he’s getting so little understanding.
I still don't like Ketch, I don't understand why he's suddenly not a sociopath, I don't want him being slashy with Dean. Also did I miss it or was there nothing between Ketch and Mary, after her supposedly being a major motivating force for him?
I still don't like Bucklemming's love of torture, and having the boys/Dean especially gleefully torture someone. I also could not wrap my mind around why AU!Bobby would let them handle that interrogation rather than do it himself, as it involved his people more than theirs.
If Gabriel is really dead...what was the point of bringing him back at all? Did he contribute anything to the story? I guess his grace, once, but otherwise, why?
We fastforwarded through most of AU!Cas -- did he have a wacky accent or was I mishearing that? Why would either the angel or the vessel have an accent? And why was he in the same vessel as in our world, when no other angel has been?
And now AU!Bobby and AU!Charlie are back in our universe. Where’s that going? The show knows it can’t just pick up where it left off as if those characters never died, because these are completely different people -- it knows that, right? Right??? (Besides, I still want to know what happened to our Bobby’s soul, off in Heaven’s jail or wherever...)
Also they have achieved their reunion, everyone at home and safe until Michael and Lucifer show up. I admit, I am mildly curious where this all is going, because I don’t have a clue (even the major spoiler most of us know about is difficult to fit in with what we know, much less imagine where it goes from there?)

Sinbad’s Hogwarts house
As the title suggests I’ll be talking about what house Sinbad would be sorted into, I was actually really excited when the idea popped into my brain. For this, I’ll be using examples from both anime and manga.
But, before anything, let’s get rid of that elephant in the room of the Harry Potter fandom. Not all Slytherins are villains if you need some clarification on that just take a look at Draco’s progress throughout the books and even if Snape was a vile human being he was never necessarily a villain. Besides, it’s not the Slytherin houses’ fault that most villains just coincidently have its traits.
Not to mention, Peter was a Gryffindor and betrayed his own best friends (need I remind you in case you don’t know, loyalty is the basic foundation of Gryffindors).
Anyway, as I’m already obviously suggesting, I think Sinbad would be sorted into the Slytherin house. Before I get fully into the reasons let me tell you what characteristics are valued in Slytherin.
~More under the cut~
Slytherins tend to be ambitious, shrewd, cunning, strong leaders, and achievement-oriented.
More traits (and just in case some of you don’t know the meaning I’ll put them (no need to feel shame if you don’t))
Resourcefulness - the ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties.
Cunning - having or showing skill in achieving one's ends by deceit or evasion.
Ambition - a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work.
Determination - firmness of purpose; resoluteness
Self-Preservation - the protection of oneself from harm or death, especially regarded as a basic instinct in human beings and animals.
Fraternity (unfortunately, I don’t really know what she meant by this)
Cleverness - the quality of being clever; ingenuity or shrewdness. (Pretty self-explanatory).
Now, before some of the hardcore Sinbad fangirls take out their torches and pitchforks for me putting him the evil, vile Slytherin house (note the sarcasm). Sinbad is not a golden boy with no faults in case some still think so, he has his faults and I will admit the only quality not like him is self-preservation. The rest is pretty much like him.
Anyway, let’s just go down the list here. First is resourcefulness, as it shows in SnB when he enters Baal’s dungeon, this is only in the anime as far as I can tell, when he used Drakon’s shield to ride the small geysers sprouting out of the walls. Another time is during Balbadd when he taught Alibaba a way to restore Magoi which included carrying gasoline (or oil?) and striking it on the ground with his sword to make fire. He doesn’t even have a fire djinn and he already knew how to help, probably would’ve come up with it way before Alibaba would anyway (no offense to him).
Not to mention that second example (when he tells Alibaba to use gasoline) goes for cleverness as well.
Even Drakon sees some form of resourcefulness and cleverness by the way he talks about him. (And I think it’s pretty safe to say that cleverness is covered by this point).
Another good example is shown in chapter 71 when Sinbad calms the kids down by thinking without the whip and outside of the box. Not to mention he even explained how the prices would rise with them having no injuries to Madaura.
As it shows and like what I said before he thinks of another to calm down the kids without hurting them, instigating more loyalty from them and higher prices. Like before this also shows for cleverness how he thinks of the market prices and how much more profitable they’d be without whip marks.
Cunning. I think we can all agree that the biggest example would be him using Zepar on princess Kougyoku and ending the war in the Kou empire by using her as leverage. Even Sinbad himself said (or more implied) that he was becoming sly, something he never wanted to be (but let’s be real, it was more of a childlike wish of his until cruel reality slapped him in the face). He didn’t disagree when Ja’far gave him the cold truth.
Not to mention, a small spark of cunning was shown when he used Seredine as a hostage for a few seconds. I’m not saying it’s solid evidence, but I’d like to think it at least shows a small sliver of him being cunning in that scene because without using her he wouldn’t have been able to leave in the first place.
Another good one is shown in the slave arc when he manipulated those kids into fighting before he even knew he was going to be saved. In a way, he was going to use those kids to get himself out of the mess. Ja’far said it himself and by the look on his Sinbad’s face, he wasn’t going to disagree.
And when Sinbad confronted Madaura he confirmed Ja’far’s statement by saying he used her own method’s.
I had almost forgotten my favorite example of his cunning nature was in Valefor’s dungeon when he tricked the rest of them into giving him a clear path to capture the cat and get the power.
Onto the next trait, ambition. SnB as a whole is about ambition. Even as a kid you can see a spark of ambition when he did something as simple as getting a bucket full of water. But let’s look at the bigger examples.
Like here it shows both ambition and determination in his eyes. You don’t even need to hear the tone to know the ambition and determination lacing his tone. It’s pretty to see that he’s prepared to face any trials he must to achieve his dream.
In that panel, it also shows both ambition and determination in both of them in this case, but we’re here to focus on Sinbad. Anyway, his tolerance for hard work showed during the battle against Drakon when he refused to lose. Determination showed with the purpose he had to fight, which was to leave the dungeon with a new power. (Determination is also covered at this point).
Unlike what I said before he does show a small hint of self-preservation when he was being tortured as a slave (by the way he cuddled up to Madaura and begged her not to be tortured), but let’s give him some credit if any of us were being tortured like he was we wouldn’t hold out. Also, when he was God and was going to sacrifice everyone besides himself.
Anyway, it seems like that’s about it. But let me clarify something, I know Sinbad had unyielding loyalty to his friends, unfortunately, that loyalty was thrown out the window when he wanted to sacrifice them all to the rukh. Also when he lied to Ja’far and said he wasn’t going to the sacred place and went anyway.
Hence, this is why I think he would be in Slytherin and if anyone wants to rebuttal or agree please let me know cause I’d like to hear your thoughts.
