people saying that they need modhaus to get the rest of the moon girls. who the fuck is we.
#lyz talks#oec just announced a (shittly run) europe tour BE SERIOUS#we dont even have a cb date. like. for fucks sake.#i really do hope that oec+ is happy and that they find joy in their schedules. but modhaus doesnt know what tf theyre doing. clearly#and then just putting triples's system in place like. thats what makes triples unique...#(not that i care about triples but! if their whole concept revolves around the objekt shit why would u give it to a preestablished group#i just. like im so !!! i just dont trust modhaus and theyre doing a terrible job of showing me why i should !!!

as much as i agree with your analysis and the fact that ctdenm seems to be treating the girls better, a part of me can’t help but worry that similar things are happening behind the scenes, much like how bbc seemed to be a relatively healthy and positive working environment early on
The myth that bbc was healthy and positive early on simply isn't true, sadly. Even recently, Vivi talked on the radio show she did about predebut stories, about how she learnt Korean quickly by arguing with staff so she could eat what she wanted amongst fighting for her other rights - and this would've been back in late 2015 early 2016. When trainee line (Basically oec, 1/3 and yeojin) were in the company before joining loona officially, that was when they were on the infamous 1 apple 1 egg a day diet. Even though yyxy were the most open about their mistreatment, that it was the worst during love4eva filming, and bad during hi high era and butterfly era, it was still bad before yyxy girls joined - the other girls are just far less open about it. This might be because the yyxy girls had such a short trainee period and therefore weren't as adjusted/indoctrinated into the trainee lifestyle to accept strict dieting and verbal abuse, or it might be because it's simply not in their temperament to talk about these issues, or whatever reasons they might have to want to share less in comparison to the yyxy girls, though yeojin and vivi have been opening up more about the past. I'm curious, did you have a specific time period where you thought BBC was a healthy working environment for the girls in mind?
If youre thinking about old loona TVs, BBC has always had staff that were very kind to the girls, that the girls loved and treated them well. The current CTD CEO, Yoon Doyeon is an example, as well as Lee Jonghyun, their old Project Manager and current Superbell CEO. At the same time they had to endure verbal abuse from certain other staff (this doesn't mean Jaden, there were other staff who were horrible or even worse than him), strict dieting and torturous schedules amongst other mistreatment that went beyond ordinary idol strictness. The loona TVs always made a deceptive effort to show the girls eating well early on, laughing and having fun etc, but we know it's a complete misrepresentation compared to what was happening behind the scenes.
When we have the girls transparently telling us via Fromm and Fab that CTD do not control or care what they eat, that they are 100% deciding for themselves, that exercise is up to them, that CTD's CEO paid for almost everything in Hyunjin's new apartment including a super expensive humidifier just because she asked for one, that CTD involved them in the album despite how quickly the album needed to be turned out because CEO cares about their creative input, it inspires a lot more trust.
I genuinely believe Doyeon is a good man who wants to take care of our girls. He gave up his job and started a company to become CEO in a role he had never tried before solely to give the 5 members a place where they would be safe and happy with someone they trusted (instead of risking getting taken advantage of again at another company) and could continue their careers, and has been listening to everything both the members and fans have been asking of him. I know Hyeju has said that this album prep era has been her favourite of her career, and I believe her. Right now the girls are actually enjoying their time in the US, eating whatever they like, having enough time for rest, actually seeing the sights of America this time. It's only the first stop but hopefully they can keep this up and have this experience knock the previous tour out of the water.
We can't trust a company 100% of the time without being there and witnessing exactly what's happening, but compared to Modhaus where we had Jaden lie to us about Jinsoul being involved in production in literally their first interview, exercises and diets being enforced, and OEC being marketed to NFT bros and military men, I just feel so much more confident about CTD's ability to treat the girls right.
#ive emailed doyeon about many things and he has listened to literally everything#for example vivi radio show / teaser time table / tiktok / youtube lives / keeping korean fans entertained during american tour#obvi can be a coincidence but still its good that what the fans want is still being met whether thats by coincidence or actually listening#but the vivi radio show is NAWT coincidence imho 🥰#anyway. i really do not think theres mistreatment behind the scenes like in my heart#they just seem so sincerely happy#and free#i might be wrong and then ill eat my hat but

JUST SOME THOUGHTS 💭 : the nine circles of loona hell.
After the very straining and soul-sucking battle that is BBC (although its not totally over! court-hearings are still due on August, it is still relieving knowing all 12 are out of BBC) new doors are opening up for the girls: as an odd eye circle comeback is right around the corner, a new wave of thrill and excitement is brewing up but, akin to the feeling of getting kicked on the stomach and as you stand up getting kicked again....orbits not only relive the feeling of euphoria to a new comeback, they'll also feel the same dread and annoyance at the piss poor management.
Modhaus choose to stray away from the usual path a company would do for promoting their artist, that being with NFTS and the benefit of voting for certain things due to said NFT. And it seems to be working for other group under Modhaus. I understand the need/or want for a uniform marketing scheme, but I wonder if Modhaus ever wondered or taken into consideration if the majority of OEC/Artms demographic and fans actually...gives a shit.
Although being a hot topic during 2021 (and years prior to that), it slowly started dwindling back in the shadows as other waves of trends came crashing in.But even then it seems as if NFT is just a rich mans toy that also happened to pack a punch at mother earth: the whole novelty about NFTs are the cha-ching linked to it, you'd just oggle and laugh at the cartoonishly high prices celebrities pay for ugly drawings of monkeys or even participate in it just for a quick buck.
Yet I don't see why it's necessary to even have NFTS in Artm's case considering how environmentally degrading it is. If they wanted to earn a quick buck out of these fans they could've just simply locked those photos on a paywall, there are many avenues and paths that can lead them to the same place. Also factor in the fact that majority or at least a good chunk of the fandom either don't care or vehemently hate it, so it just stirs a lot of negativity in forums or platforms where positivity is a better option— and yet Modhaus or any company really, never listens to the fandom's wishes/thoughts/feedback which is a big blunder due to the fact that fans are what feeds these companies, without an audience there is no place for their music to thrive.
But what about the albums? They're environmentally degrading too!
See, this is where my main gripe about NFTS actually formulate. I'm very much aware that everything I consume in my life can and will damage the environment one way or another, but there's actually a purpose behind those things. NFTS on the other hand...not so much. They are soulless pieces of merchandise, thats soul purpose starts and ends with it being a selfie whilst damaging the environment. Albums is a great garden to grow and see even a tiny speck of art. The inclusions are also another factor, it's a medium for art to flourish and has some real life uses to it (cd's).
Aside from the drift between fans and NFTS. Scheduling, lack of 'hype' is a big sore in the comeback, considering how the members themselves spoke about how they wish for a win. Why couldn't they manage their calendars correctly? Why aren't they hiring employees that can cater for a better outcome? Why are there dead zones of silence in between teasers? There's also overpricing of tour tickets (the announcement being before we even got the video teaser, me-thinks it would've worked out much better if they announced it in the middle of promotions as the hype may still be around).
Promoting Loona had always been a pleasure for orbits especially in their hayday before the great Armageddon, but now as the tides are shifting: there is now a realization that orbits antics may just backfire: Promoting the group is always the companies job, it's merely an option for the fans. And it's not as if Modhaus is a company majorly lacking in resources, so why can't they do it themselves? And the bare minimum is not to ghost fans leading up to the release date, there are ways to bring in hype and extra content without even straining or overworking the girls themselves. Posting hints about the comeback, interesting tidbits and trivia about it, even posting a little screencap of the mv is a decent way to generate curiosity regarding the comeback.
I do appreciate those little shortcuts video they post, content better than nothing at least.
It's just tiring seeing oec/artms re-living the same old issues under the hand of the same old man.
But that aside, I do genuinely look forward for this comeback (or re-debut maybe?). I dig the concept and especially the first few set of photo teasers as it was very interesting and alluring. It's wonderful that they choose to recall previous details for the sub-unit's comeback/re-debut as it really gives a rush to old fans and can create interest to the new ones. Tiny thing, but I really like the details they placed on the eyepatches like the laces and stuff. Love the thick bangs on Choerry too. The video teasers were also an amazing watch, just hearing OEC's old songs now as they are in a new chapter in their career, new company, new everything, is just thrilling and sweet. I wonder (delusions) if Haseul or Heejin will be a featured artists in their b-sides! That'll be fun for sure.

I hâte tripleS fans so much 😭 all up in loonas business just because some members are in modhaus. idgaf if you are okay with NFTs for your group but WE don’t want them and we want the members to make money off of album sales and concerts! We want loona to be properly promoted not this shit that Jaden is pulling with them again. No preorder link and barely any notice on when the music is coming out. we dgaf if the girls take years to put out music that they like no orbit is wanting them to have a rigorous schedule we saw what happened during the world tour!! like 😭

ok sorry it's me again, turns out i'm not done.
another key difference between mh and ctd: the way they treat feedback. ctd has indeed made mistakes. to cite some: the initial looble photos for that sports event were whitewashed. the logo was childish. more recently, the comeback date fiasco (which btw! it's always funny to me when ppl blame the company for that but not the girls. they knew the date. for some reason, it escaped everybody involved the importance of the date. but decisions made bc a ceo wants more profits are very different from plain mistakes, and i feel like ppl are having difficulties seeing the divide in that and remembering that companies are made up of people who make mistakes and yes we can say that the looble members are sometimes involved on these mistakes bc them, as everybody else, are humans who make mistakes and who ARE PART OF THE COMPANY....))
anyways, the point is that every time, they (ctd) did better after being called out. the next looble photos were beautiful, and the trend continued for the concepts in the album, namely that more retro one). they updated the logo. the cb date was handled pretty quickly when we take into account the schedules they probs had in place already. the other things, such as the tour size? i doubt that will happen a second time but only time will tell
modhaus on the other hand? the girls seem to trust jj and from what they say about him, he actually gives them plenty of freedom, which only confuses me more, considering that he takes plenty of choices away from them indirectly... but most of the time orbits try to get them to be better, we are ignored time and time again. i think the most stupid example is the pre-order period (i really do not get what's wrong with opening them sooner), but unfortunately, there is quite a list.
ok i need to go now and stop procastinating my thesis, sorry once again, at least it's better than that other anon ig?
Don't apologise honestly speak on it

you've already talked about how you feel about the girls at modhaus, but what aŕe your thoughts on chuu at atrp?
I think it's a little different seeing as Chuu manages herself and her schedules. The agency she's with basically invested in her because they believe in her - they're even smaller than BBC ever was haha. I think when you are the golden goose of your company (even though she.. also was at BBC, they just didnt respect her) and from the getgo they're paying you properly it makes me trust them more. ARTP want to get Chuu's vision out there as opposed to the other way round. I feel a lot more optimistic about Chuu's welfare for sure.
That being said, simply by virtue of being an entertainer she's at risk of exploitation. But as it stands that's just a risk that comes with the job. And she's an adult and it's her life and I think she can handle herself - for example she overcame her poor relationship to binge eating after leaving BBC. I think if I found out Chuu was performing in a way where supporting her would come in opposition to my values then I'd stop, but for now I tentatively have faith in her.
#this ask made me poke around more#8 employees founded on vivis birthday and seems like they built the office up from the foundations#and theyre hiring!#and by supporting her. i still am not sure if ill bother buying albums etc. no reason not to but yknow#we'll see :)
