Touhoumon Purple (pinned post)
This is a pinned post! There is newer blog content below this point, but the rest of this post is contained beneath the Read More button.
Last update: March 19th, 2023
Documentation, downloads:
Changelog:
New documentation hub and landing page. It's included as a link to a Google Spreadsheet. While this is primarily the same as the contents of the text files, its easier on you for not having to juggle like ten tabs or whatever.
Mandatory Strength boulders have been pre-moved by default. Optional ones for items still require the HM, however.
Starters now evolve at level 30 instead of level 36. Learnset levels are adjusted for starter Chibi forms and evolved forms, including stone evolutions.
Red UFOs exchanges changed. They are now used for IV maxing NPCs near Mossdeep.
There are four NPCs with different IV spreads.
One is all 31. This is for most casual users in-game.
One is Attack 0, rest 31. This is to minimize self-damage from confusion on puppets that aren't using their Attack stat. Very min-maxy.
One is Speed 0, rest 31. This is even more niche and min-maxy than the last; the only use case for this is for purposefully slowing puppets down for Baton Pass. Gen 3 will sometimes use Baton Pass as a neutral turn switch, similar to U-Turn.
The last is Attack/Speed 0, rest 31. This is very niche and min-maxy. This is again for Baton Pass, but also minimizes confusion self-damage.
EV training NPCs in the Frontier changed. They now give 4 EVs in their listed stat per battle. This slows the process of EV training down but makes it way easier to make specialized EV spreads.
All TMs are now in Lilycove Mart, as well as the "rare" berries
Tori can now evolve into Chibi versions of the birds in the sprite
Yes, this does some absolutely ridiculous things to their movepools. blast burn mystia lets goooooooo
Tewi, Attack Tewi, and Defense Tewi can now all fully slide Attack and Defense could already slide, so this just makes it funnier. Use a Power Shard on Attack Tewi to turn her into normal Tewi, etc no advent though she can keep that movepool to herself
"Energy Ball" has, finally, been renamed to "Focus Blast"
Evolved Koishi now holds PP Up at 50% and PP Max at 5%
Reisen II buffs, finally -- Typing is now Heart/Fire -- Stats are now 65 HP, 60 ATK, 80 DEF, 130 S.ATK, 65 S.DEF, 85 Speed -- Her level-up movepool is unchanged, but she can learn a huge mess of special moves via TM now. This makes her usable if you want to, but you have to invest in her pretty heavily depending on what you may want to run -- Her primary ability is now Magnet Pull -- Gained Pickup as a secondary ability
Added another above-curve item, similar to Elder Pain and Psycho Wand -- It functions as a Quick Claw that always activates. Due to its relative ease of obtaining compared to the previous two items, there is only one way to obtain it unless playing the Sandbox version
This is actually the final update to this hack because I'm sick of binary hacking. It's tedious, slow, annoying, and things can just break. I'm tired of making multiple gigabytes of backups just because I want to change some images or text around.
This project is done! Complete, finished. There is nothing more that I can reasonably fit into this game anymore that I want to include.
I want to be done with this project.. so I am! Unless something is broken, I guess. If it literally does not function by my own fault, I'll fix it, but I'm not adding or changing anything else from this point on.
The shift to a Google Sheet is because we anticipate the current hosting, and by extension website, to go down permanently.
While backups are in place whenever a new hosting plan is picked out, this will continue to exist as a central information hub just so you don't have to thumb through multiple text files and wiki dive.
As of the time of posting this, the documentation is not 100% complete - I have yet to do level-up movesets and TM/HM compatibility, but I intend to work on that soon enough.
There are a few more things cooking right now, so stay tuned!

"books-are-my-life-stuff: Okay so, that's for the sync+dps passive skill, that cannot get higher than 3% and the most we can get is 12% if I'm understanding this correctly. Let's say we focus on just one. Sync only gears for units like Lucian and DPS only gears for units like Anni Steven. I assume the percentage is different, probably at 5%? So is the maximum we get is 15% boost on DPS/sync?"
It's complex, but basically, three 3% skills gets you 9%, but the added stats act as if it's another 3%, give or take. So full boost with Atk +90 and three +3% damage skills would round out to around 11-12% total damage boosted. With something like a 5% boost, for 15% grand total in either sync or DPS for a specific pair, the boost would be more significant, but I wouldn't count on it being by all that much. It may be better to aim for something specific like that, for pairs that mostly just need stats. Anni Steven, Archie, SS Lana, H!Iris, SC Rosa, etc. Those pairs might benefit from the hyper-specific kind of builds you can set up on them, but the cost is way too high to ever justify what you get out of it.
"I guess the skill gear is only worth investing if you're swimming in power-ups, but even you, a whale, said that it's a bad deal. Skill gears seem to only surpass stat gears if they're in near max or max investment, and with how much passives there, it…seems to be difficult to justify, for now."
That's basically it. Technically, just getting something like Atk +90 is an improvement, you only really need the one bonus. But Stat gear likely loses out on the defensive bonuses. You can get a mix. But using feathers, it was always something like rolling HP +20/Sp Atk +45/Sp Def +10, which is worse on damage. There's probably some kind of optimal setup for them, but at present, I both don't see it and don't care to know. It's effectively impossible to justify. The pins being so essential to optimizing this gear, and currently costing you the equivalent of 6 EX (8 if you do 15 powerups and 100 tickets) to achieve is outright unreasonable. Even the most intense whales don't have that kind of stuff to just toss around here. I'd honestly be stunned if even Poce had enough to set this shit up, and even if he had enough, would it even be worth the trade when you're in the position of having every pair so decked out already? The gear just serves no purpose. It's a small bonus for obscene amounts of resources.

GAHAHA IM BORED AND ITS TIME FOR MORE VERY SHORT SELF AWARE AUS
Sentient Genshin Characters but pt2?
hhhhhhh
i’ll actually try to make this good im sorry hshshshshs
Keqing
•gurl aint weak
•look at attributes, 2125 atk on lvl 67? 68? her player no longer remembers
•was honestly surprised at the sudden change of pace. one day, she’s doing work, signing papers, doing paperwork, assisting Ningguang, etc.
•now she’s playing pirate with the kids, committing massacres on abyss order and enemy bodies
•watching ruin mechanisms turn to dust and stonehide lawachurls fall while the fatui skirmishers burn away, she never really think she’d be doing this.
•she’s quite grateful to the player
•though, if she’s just a character (a rare one at that), and her world is a game, is everything real?
•as a rational person who usually thinks through all her problems, everything seemed to fall apart
•is osial’s attack against Liyue Harbour nothing but a piece of plot, for fun?
•no matter, all she knows is that you’re definitely real
•she’ll get her answers from you
•but for now, she’ll protect your other characters as the DPS while Beidou rests, Lion’s Roar in hand, all for you
endless charged attacks landed their hit on Stormterror’s claw. looking up, Keqing saw the white bar under Stormterror’s health bar run to a close. Stormterror just landed with full shields though.. is that how much the player helped her develop?
Stormterror fell down, neck out in the open
Keqing’s stiletto and electro-lined charged attacks slashed the poisoned blood clot mercilessly. Stormterror roared in disbelief and took to the skies again. rinse and repeat.
in the end, Keqing stared at the trounce blossom. Tartaglia Childe in the Golden House was next to be beaten this week. Beidou has already taken the Borealis down.
in her hands were Dvalin’s Sighs and Plumes, a vial of Dream Solvent, and two billets. they looked and felt weird, and so she paid no attention to them, simply stashing them into her player’s inventory, resisting the smell of the perfectly delicious food stored nearby.
she always wondered how they’re always in the newly-cooked stage; hot, fresh, and always ready
one of my player’s perks, she guessed.
Bennett
•in all truth, bennett is grateful for the new adventure team
•and he actually helps
•each burst talent level up has him brimming with pyro energy, waiting to be slammed into the ground and to create another field of a lighter crimson to boost and heal his team
•would be the one to use all the newfound power to protect his dads, and to heal them whenever they’re even a little bit hurt
•absolutely loves being the battery of the team
•actually likes dragonspine
•bennett talked to albedo once, said alchemist asking what it was like to venture to what is hitherto unknown under the control of the player
•bennett replied with praise, how the player never let them die, always healing them and making sure they almost never get hit
•albedo just nodded along
•is confused on why sometimes, his weapon changes from his sacrificial sword, to a spare lion’s roar that the player leveled to 80
•as the only level 90 in the team aside from Beidou, bennett feels responsible for each mistake (since he sees himself as the one with the most levels, and so must protect those with a lower level)
•would push his energy recharge to the max
Bennett felt another wave of warm pyro, his emerald orbs shining even brighter. the boy of pyro shook with excitement.
Keqing, a level 67, raised an eyebrow
“Another talent level up?”
Bennett nodded enthusiastically
“The burst! I can heal you all even better now!”
Beidou laughed, throwing her head back and leaning on her refined blackcliff slasher
“We’ll be counting on you for that! got that, you little wheel of fortune?”
Zhongli chuckled. “Especially with my health points seemingly still around thirty one thousand.”
a grin spread out on Bennett’s slightly tanned face and he pumped his fist upward “Benny’s adventure team, assemble!”
a chorus of agreements raised from the other three, fueling Bennett’s happiness as they walk into the freezing cold of the Elegaic Rime domain for Chongyun, Diona and Kaeya under the player’s control and boosted with the goulash’s warming buff
it seems Bennett has found his team now
Kaeya
•oh great! since Diluc is self aware, Kaeya can piss him off in more new ways!
•just kidding he’s just mad he’s on lvl 50, broken set, and prototype rancour
•all that aside
•he would have never survived some hilichurl mobs without your control over his body and your seemingly endless amounts of healing food
•also quite grateful for speeding up Teyvat’s time on certain time-sensitive quests
•the cavalry was taken on the great expedition anyways, he has nothing to do
•so might as well help you with other stuff
•mans completely amazed at all the beautiful scenery that the player brings him to for poses (as a player on ar 53 and shit artifacts, this is really what i do when i hit 0 resin; honing my craziness for photography)
•who knew that Liyue’s cliffs were breath taking?
•the sea of clouds is Kaeya’s personal favorites
•when he’s switched back out, he’s teleported into an alternate Mondstadt, back to life in the game
•he greets Diluc just to annoy him while on the way to the Favonius Headquarters
Kaeya gave off a small, almost invisible smile. the cup of steaming tea reflected his face
“where did the player bring you this time?” Chongyun’s head popped by Kaeya’s shoulder, holding a short stack of books Xingqiu said he wanted to read.
“The floating island. over Huaguang Stone Forest,” Kaeya sipped his tea carefully. “the sunset was beautiful.”
Chongyun chuckled. “wait until they bring you to Dragonspine. they’ve made me pose over pretty scenery.”
Kaeya laughs. “I’ll be waiting for that.”
Chongyun bid his goodbye and headed off to Lisa, who was marvelling over the Mappa Mare that the player gave her
Kaeya sipped his tea; it was cooling up already “Dragonspine? a barren and beautiful wasteland it is, then.”
HHHHHHH I WAS ABOUT TO WRITE JEAN IN AS WELL BUT I RAN OUT OF BRAIN JUICE AAAAAAAA

Gold Version Joy Run
Something that I wanted to do. Just like Yellow version, I will not restrict myself whatsoever. Which means... bring on the shenanigans.
Also, very important for me! This is the VERY FIRST TIME I actually do a full Gold version run with all the glitches at my disposal! So this is a new experience!
Let’s dance.
Right off the bat, a little f*ckery. Hey there, Silver boy. My croc is bigger than yours. ... What? Temporarily named as “Leviathan” since... well, let’s just say that the early Korean version of a certain scripture translated “Leviathan” as an alligator/crocodile. ... Gators don’t breathe flames from the mouth.
Critical Pokemon captured! Huhuhahahaha! Oh, Hoppip gets THREE moves at level 5, and one of them is Splash?! Ohohoho!
Once again, Silver boy, my croc is bigger than yours.
Splash in the third slot, eh?
Sorcery! Huhuhahahaha! Nickname: Apocalypse.
Here’s a little... side-product. ... Now that is a hell of a Rattata. No Rattata in existence can possibly have almost 400 HP at level 100, let alone level 69.
Or have that much Def, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def. ... Or that low of an Atk. ... Dude. This guy can take hits and nothing else.
Turns out, you don’t even need a Graveler to whip Whitney’s ass. Geodude is fine. “Whits Bane”. As in, “Whitney’s Bane”. ... This was its literally only purpose.
So... this guy here... was a Quilava. Its data got corrupted during the demon magic bullsh*t, and it became an unstable Rattata. Which, when “stabilized”, became a level 1 Jigglypuff with Pokerus. ... Yep. I just force-spawned Pokerus. Because why not.
They are... parasites. Tiny little life forms stuck on the Pokemon. ... That’s nasty, dude.
The sorcery continues! Rock Smash in 3rd slot. Nickname: Leviathan. The true one. Behold the leviathan, monster of the sea! Its strong scales are its pride!
... Apparently this run’s ID gives me Smog and Fire Spin. Because those two moves were on all five Pokemon that I used this glitch to hatch. ... Which means this Lugia here is 2/5.
Nidorino! ... A Normal type Nidorino. ... ?????
“You could never catch a legendary Pokemon anyway.” ... You were literally just whipped by two of them. You blind f*ck.
Turns out, Morty is insanely easy if you... you know. Mewtwo doesn’t get Psychic until level 66, but... it gets Confusion at level 1.
Chuck’s Poliwrath was blasted so hard, its sprite died. RIP. Also proof that this was the result of shenanigans. Not only do I have a Lugia that’s level 24 (when the lowest you can get is 40 in Silver), but... Aeroblast. Aeroblast is only available in Silver version, since Lugia gets it at level 1, and then learns a new move every 11x level (11, 22, 33, 44, etc). So at level 40, it has Aeroblast, Safeguard, Gust, and Recover. In the wild, a level 44 one would’ve erased Aeroblast for Hydro Pump. So in Gold version, the level 70 Lugia does not have Aeroblast. In Crystal, the level... 60? Lugia does not have Aeroblast. And there is no such thing as a move re-learner in GSC. ... Similarly, Gold is the only version where you can get Sacred Fire. ... Which means, poor Crystal version. Doesn’t get sh*t.
Speaking of Sacred Fire... Shenanigans! Whirlpool in the 3rd slot. Nickname: Phoenix. 3/5.
Somehow, this doesn’t feel fair. Lance in the Pokemon League. Getting one-shotted. Hmm...
Well, that’s the Pokemon League down. EASY! But this time, I’m going all the way. Kanto!
Hey, this is the guy that kills your game. Talk to that thing and then open the Coin Case and then your game gets f*cked. Something like that.
Hmm... Kanto, huh? Then I get access to Grimer, and therefore Acid Armor... Hmm...
Huhuhuhahaha! Acid Armor in 3rd slot. Nickname: Doomguard. Apparently you can’t use numbers, so... I couldn’t name it as “135″. Boo. Ehn. It’s not shiny, so... 4/5.
“This Gym is great! Only girls are allowed here!” ... Yeah, maybe that line is better deleted in HGSS. ... The HGSS line makes no damn sense. Just deleting this guy would’ve been better.
... Were you... having a date right in front of someone else’s house? ... What is wrong with you?
Oh you poor, sad little man. Living in a cave, since Cinnabar Island burned down. Volcano eruption. Well, at least in HGSS, you modified the sh*t out of the cave floor in Seafoam Islands. In here, you’re literally just a dude sitting in a cave all by yourself.
Janine. You sad f*ck. What is this? Level 36?! The weakest Kanto leader by far. Even weaker than a Johto leader. That’s just... pitiful.
Oh, I remember this. The trainer house? Oh, I spent a lot of time here back in actual Gold version, trying to get Metronome to get Transform so I could Transform into the Smeargle with Sketch, so that the Mewtwo would get Sacred Fire. And I succeeded... twice, since I accidentally deleted Thunderbolt, so I had to do this glitch again, but for Thunderbolt.
Johto Leaders must be pretty pathetic because I beat them? You f*ck. Here you are, sitting all by yourself in a Gym clearly made of Lego, and you’re calling the Johto Leaders pathetic?
Well, now that I annihilated this f*ck with Mewtwo (for a specific reason), I now have access to Mt. Silver, and thus, my 5th and last addition to my team. Oh, SNEASEL!!!
Final shenanigans. Beat Up in 3rd slot. Nickname: Temporus. 5/5. It ain’t a Dragon, but hey. Time thingy. And so my team is ready. Level 59 Mew, 56 Mewtwo, 55 Lugia, 55 Ho-oh, 55 Celebi. Time to take on Red with his level 70+ team.
Oh yeah. GSC Mt. Silver requires Flash. ... Flash is for sissies?!
... Wow. Can’t see sh*t except for an item that’s... ... How would you even see that?!
So... Flash is necessary. Cool. Adding in a level 5 Togepi with Flash. The team is ready.
Mt. Silver. So... here is a “hidden” path that leads to a cave with literally nothing in it. ... Like, what the f*ck was the point of this?
And another hidden path to another hidden cave with literally nothing in it. ... WHY?! Were there supposed to be some cool hidden sh*t here that got canned at the last moment?!
... So, that’s how pitiful Pikachu is. Level 81, got outrun by a level 59 Mew (base 90 vs. base 100), and one-shotted by Earthquake. ... See, this is why I can the Pikachu as soon as possible in Yellow version for a Mew. Pikachu ain’t my starter. MEW is my starter!
And ANNIHILATED! You poor sap. I have a bunch of Pokemon 20 levels lower, and yet... EASY. Why? Because Legendaries have much higher stats than other Pokemon. And in RGBY GSC, every stat gets “EVed”. ... PKRS also helps out greatly. In short, all my Pokemon are better by far. ... Which is why I restrict myself to non-Legendaries only in other normal runs. It just ain’t fair otherwise.
Now that I finished the game, I guess I’ll go to the one thing I always found super cool and very f*cking meaningless. Edit the time to be Monday, and make a beeline for Mt. Moon!
... F*ck. I forgot about this encounter. Way to ruin it, dude. It’s a huge step down from facing Red to facing you. Boo. ... Also, now you f*cking notice? You weak pathetic f*ck. Dude, you don’t need love to raise Pokemon. You’ve been using violence, and you’ve been mislead that you need love and affection. ... Dude, you need knowledge. Violence can only come properly afterwards. ... This is a reference to the elder’s questions in Crystal and HGSS Dragon’s Den. “What do you need to raise Pokemon? Love, violence, or knowledge?”
The Clefairy dance in Mt. Moon Square! Only on Mondays at night. This is still in HGSS, I think. The Clefairy dance and... leaves you a Moon Stone before running off, which means the Moon Stone is the only evolution stone you can get infinite amount of times. The others, you get like... two. Fire/Water/Leaf/Thunder Stones require you to be in Kanto for some f*cked up reason!
Now then, Gold version joy run is over. Lots of shenanigans happened. And here is my final team:
Caught Snorlax with a duplicated Master Ball, removed the Leftovers, duplicated that 5 times so all 5 of my Pokemon can have one. Constant HP regeneration for Pokemon with PKRS boosted stat experience, and with base HP stats of 100, 100, 106, 106, 106? That’s pretty freaking cheap, man.
Psychic: Level 40, but... who has the time for that? Duplicated TM 29: Psychic 4 times, so... yay. Shadow Ball: TM 30, again duplicated. Earthquake: TM 26, duplicated. Ice Punch, TM 33. Purchased in Goldenrod! Yay for not having to use the duplication glitch!
... And PP maxed for the PP 10 or lower moves using the duplicated PP Ups.
I ain’t waiting for level 66 for Mewtwo to get Psychic. Duplicated TM!
Psychic, Earthquake, and Shadow Ball. ... Just like Mew. And Ho-oh. DUPLICATION! But look. When there’s one...
There’s the other. With a symmetrical moveset.
... Celebi doesn’t learn Psychic by itself. ... TM. Also doesn’t get Giga Drain by itself. ... TM (duplicated). Shadow Ball? Also TM. And since Celebi’s movepool is as shallow as Keldeo’s, I let it keep Leech Seed. And with Leech Seed and Leftovers, Celebi here was able to easily annihilate Red’s Snorlax despite its Amnesia. EASY!
And there you have it! An easy-ass annihilation of Gold version. ... All you have to do f*ck up the game. At one point, the Dex said that I owned 39 Pokemon. But the Dex only showed me the “owned” icons for 19. Which means, I apparently owned 20 Pokemon that I never saw. ... Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
Poor game. But at least “POOKYPOOKY” didn’t appear this time.

Quick overview
Oh boy another Ayra situation here.... anyone who doesn’t know Rhajat is to be available tomorrow from the voting gauntlet banner meaning she’s with old units like Faye, Priscilla and Tharja... aka I guess she’s on the banner twice in some ways. Anyway the best comparison right now is to Nino and Summer Elise, both boast the strongest Gronnblade uses in the game. Rhajat has the same sought of stats as them, matching summer elises 34 speed but less attack than her with 35. However she offers more bulk physically than the two of em, but less magical bulk making her a physical wall version of them if thats even possible with 21 defence. Basically what I’m trying to get at here is that Rhajat hits hard and fast.
Base kit
Rhajat brings the green wolf tome to the summoning pool along with its upgrade variant, Keen gronnwolf, which can be upgraded to ignore horse buffs now, but the real special part is that her colour choice is amazing in the current meta as it means she can solidly counter Reinhardt and not care for his horse buffs. Though if he’s using quickened pulse moonbow she needs help then. She then comes with distant defence to reduce ranged damage by 6 from 2 spaces, a very neat ability to have. Rally def/res is really nice as a rally skill but she kinda wants people to rally her. Finally savage blow is a mixed bag and generally outclassed by some other C skills.
If you need a B slot well Guard is surprisingly a really good choice to prevent Reinhardt KOs, however if you want a more offensive option desperation is solid as you’ll wanna increase speed anyway, or Green tome breaker. Luna is going to be her best choice, or moonbow special wise.
Pros + Cons
+Speed and attack are amazing for a green mage
+A unit who proves the new wolf tomes are viable
+Comes with distant defence one of the best A slots in the game
-Wishes her res was a little bit higher naturally to really be a solid Reinhardt counter.
-Has to compete for your green mage slot, and especially against Summer Elise and Ninio
-Can’t do both the offensive and defensive lifestyle and is forced to pick one.
Partners
Blue units who can take care of the sword units running around are greatly appreciated as most of them will decimate her in a single hit. A unit like Ephraim is really nice on blade tome sets due to his natural buffing passives and colour. However units like Tana, Lukas, Nephenee, Valter, Oscar, Nowi etc all offer a great wall to hide behind. Red units wil clearly enjoy being paired with her, especially low res ones as she can be the Reinhardt counter for the team.
Suggested set(s)
Lurker in the shadows
+Atk/spd/res -def
Keen Gronnwolf+, Reciprocal aid, Luna/moonbow
Slot A = Distant defence 3, Triangle adept
Slot B = Green tome breaker, Guard
Slot C = any c skill you need
Sacred seals: Deflect magic, Res+3, distant defence
Weapon refinery = The best option is the option to nullify buffs trust me on this.
The ideal budget set for Rhajat and with a few tweaks she can live any Reinhardt. So the most important part of this set is the B skill and her weapon refinery, at the moment I doubt you have the resources to get the anti cavalry version of her weapon, so guard is her best B slot as when above the threshold Reinhardt cannot proc moonbow which surprise is the thing which screws her over. Once you do however you can simply run a sacred seal to cover for moonbow Reinhardts and thus freeing up her B slot for green tome breaker. However in all cases she needs +3 res to begin with so the distant defence seal or res+3 or the iv are the easiest way to gain this. Deflect magic can be used though you need higher versions of it. The other way if you end up suffering a -hp or res bane is to use a unit with a rally/fortify resistance to increase her bulk, or even spurs. What I’m saying is Res is the most important stat in this set and bumping it higher is always nice. Reciprocal aid is used for her to get back to full if need be, while Luna/moonbow are the best offensive options.
Its worth noting triangle adept will solve all her problems in one go though is more expensive and if you do run it, its worth giving her the raven tome instead to gain coverage though she will ne res help to live all Reinhardts this way.
Sword Hex Online
+Atk/spd -def/hp/res
Gronnblade+, ardent sacrifice, Moonbow/draconic aura
Slot A = Fury, Life and death, swift sparrow
Slot B = Desperation, green tome breaker
Slot C = any c skill
Sacred seals: Atk +3 spd+3
The clear choice for her Gronnblade dishes out so much damage its scary. A slot wise life and death if for min maxing her spread while fury offers a safe hp drop to desperation. I would not use fury with green tome breaker instead use life and death. Swift sparrow is a option but considering her res is lacking to begin with you might be better off just dumping it out right .Moonbow is the fastest special for her while draconic aura offers a hell of a lot of damage with the buffs active. The other option is to run infantry pulse support with her to counteract gronnblades passive.

heroes barracks tour: infantry part 1 (colourless)
As infantry units are by far the most common, it only makes sense to split them up into several posts. I’m starting with colourless as that covers two different physical weapons and all of my army of healers.
But first, as usual, updates!
Armour update
Build improvements
Refined w!Tharja’s Candelabra for +def.
New units
+def –atk
I just pulled her this morning :D
The bane is really unfortunate; if my sources are correct it’s a superbane (-4 instead of -3) which frankly kind of sucks. That said, I intend on building her with Blarblade+ which would make up for the loss in damage.
Otherwise there’s nothing but great news here. I’ve completed the mage armours trifecta, got another unit with Armour March, and a 40% bonus for the upcoming Tempest Trials. The only reason I haven’t levelled her yet is that I refuse to do it in the Training Tower and today’s training maps (all fliers) are really not suited for –atk magic users with 1 movement.
Plans
Blarblade+, Moonbow, Draw Back for Lyn. I should have enough feathers for that fairly soon.
Flier update
Build improvements
1. Caeda now has access to a personal weapon, the Wing Sword, although I don’t have enough SP for it yet. 2. Gave s!Camilla Gronnblade+, Draw Back, and Darting Blow 3. 3. Inherited LaD3, Glimmer, and Reposition to Shanna (my free summon on Love Abounds was a 4* Sothe) 4. Gave Renewal 3 to Nowi 5. Beruka is now +4 and has Bonfire
New units
+hp –def
I got her from Love Abounds actually and not Sacred Memories, and also yesterday, which is why she’s still unlevelled. It’s kind of ironic; I tried summoning for her on SM and got pitybroken at 4%, then I summoned on a different banner and she pitybroke me at 4%.
-def is hindering to her as Great Flame’s effect relies on it, but oh well. It does make me consider giving her Lightning Breath+ instead. It would give me access to another DC flier at a relatively low cost, and I could refine it for more def. I still have that one Hector lying around, which is an option, but I don’t want to use him on yet another green.
Whatever I do with her, it’s awesome that I have her, as she fits two separate teams. On the one side, she provides Hone Dragons (although to be honest that’s not anything gamebreaking for me as all of my dragon builds rely on QR making the +6 speed boost rather pointless). On the other side, she is another source of magic damage for my fliers.
Plans
Nothing new short-term besides figuring out a B slot for Myrrh
Cavalry update
GUESS WHO’S BACK
yaaaaay i only waited like 9 months
Yes I got him this morning like everybody else and immediately levelled him I WAITED NINE MONTHS, I saved that PA Olivia and that 2* Subaki for ages, fucking FINALLY
I gave him one of my Wind blessings, largely because I just wanted the SP boost, but it doesn’t hurt that if I ever pull Gunnthra she’s likely going to be on the same team as him and he could really use the extra Res. Distant Defence helps, of course, but only so much.
I’m going to merge him later, obviously.
Back to infantry
Bows
+atk –def
I got her randomly from Rite of Shadows (Celica and co’s first banner).
This build is an absolute mess. I just threw together a bunch of scraps for her when she was a bonus unit in the second ever Tempest Trials. It functioned okay there but there’s not a whole lot she can do now. She’s just really not suited for her own default build, Firesweep weapons are for fast glass cannons while Faye is slow and bulky.
Usage: She has 3k HM. The bulk of it was from the aforementioned TT, and the rest I grinded out afterwards on autobattle just for feathers. Now with the rise of shit like Zelgius, Firesweep + Poison Strike can be useful in AA provided there’s a dancer (not a problem considering I have 7) and only one foe left.
Future improvements: I’m interested in a Guard Bow build. In fact that was going to be the next thing on my to-do list (chosen randomly), but V!Lyn’s arrival overthrew Faye there, sorry girl
+spd –def
Baby boy. Baby.
I got him on the first day I’ve had this account, with the 10 Nintendo Network gift orbs from a full colourless circle, and I love him very much. He was my summoner support for a while. Then he became overshadowed by a different unit I built who did the exact same thing as him but better and also I loved him more because you know who he is, but I’ve missed using him so I didn’t hesitate at all in feeding off the dupe Faye I got from Legendary Ike’s banner. Now he has a niche again.
Usage: Oh boy. I used him for the first four Tempest Trials, and those were a lot more difficult than the ones now and I didn’t autobattle, so you can imagine. He was one of the first units to max HM... twice... and he has 3500 HM again now and going to be a bonus unit in the new TT so lol. I’ve also used him to clear high-end content like GHBs many times.
Improvements: LaD3 as soon as I get another Sothe. I’m also going to start merging him. I got a ton of Kleins while trying to pull for NY!Takumi, and I have 3 in my barracks. I’ve decided that every second one I pull goes towards merges, so that’s one merge for now.
+hp –spd
From Fjorm’s banner.
Unbelievably shitty IVs, of course, but it doesn’t matter. I wanted her primarily because her art is amazing. I wasn’t going to build her with BB+ or Firesweep over Klein and my baby, so in a way I was kind of relieved she wasn’t +spd or +atk, that way I had a justification for prioritising them that wasn’t just personal bias :D
Usage: As you can see she doesn’t even have her default C slot learned yet. I’m planning on using her as a TT healer at some point (through BoL6).
I’ve said before how I feel about Corrin as a character, but Maiponpon draws him so cute I can’t stay mad at him. Look at his wittle face
Anyway, this is a very simple build, pretty much just his default set with Bonfire + Bowbreaker, to capitalise on his own bulk and the defensive buffs he provides to other units. Also, this screenshot was taken before I refined his Hama Ya (for +def).
Usage: He does stuff in AA sometimes, his primary function is to be a bow Lyn counter
+spd –res
The apple of my eye, my child whom I raised all these years etc etc. From Hero Fest 1 :D
All I ever wanted when Heroes was announced was to have a Takumi. Well, here he is with perfect IVs to boot. I love him so much. It’s impossible to tell from menu screenshots like this (unless you know the stats by heart I guess), but he’s my current summoner support.
Quad builds are very powerful; I know not everybody likes them but I do. Oh I do.
Usage: he has 9999 SP take a wild guess
Improvements: Threaten Spd isn’t really the best C slot, but I haven’t really figured out what it can possibly be replaced with
+atk –something, +9
I just realised looking at this that he has the same def/res as Takumi :D
He’s actually +10 now, I just didn’t bother taking the screenshot. Virion, similarly to Est, is a product of spite more than anything, but I do actually kind of like him as a character, so there’s that.
I don’t really have a lot to say about him, he’s just there. I’m going to merge 4* Virions I get instead of sending them home, so that maybe one day I can upgrade him from here to a 4*+10.
Daggers
+hp –res
Got her on the first day of Performance Arts.
Honestly there’s not much to say, she’s a dancer and does dancer things with her dancer build. And her chibi sprite is unbelievably adorable.
Usage: dancer tier
+atk –hp
Apparently I pulled her at 4* on the first day, so when I switched mains and looked at what I had it was a pleasant surprise. I’d had great experiences using a +atk Kagero on my other accounts by then, so it wasn’t a difficult decision to promote her.
Usage: I actually don’t use her all that much outside of AA because she doesn’t do very well against non-infantry teams. Still, I’d say she’s worth the investment even in the current meta.
neutral
mochi baby
The other day I was reading my old comments on the FEH subreddit and found this gem in a thread that was about which characters you wanted to be added drawn by which artist:
Naturally I had to do everything in my fucking power to get him and at 4,50% (...after another 4% broken by Airzura) he came home <3
I don’t know what this build is supposed to be. Antimage, I guess? The double BoLs are because I used him as a combat medic in the two TT minis. He also has Iceberg learned but for TTs a big nuke with Glacies is better, considering Kagami Mochi has a killer effect anyway.
Usage: See above, combat medic for TTs. I’ll probably continue to use him to fill an extra slot and cover healing until he maxes HM (although for the next TT the main team slots are all taken, sorry boo)
Improvements: Desperation is kind of silly now that he no longer has boosted stats from being a bonus unit and I should replace it with something but I haven’t decided what. I might also throw him a Sothe at some point for a neat 51/41 offensive spread.
+1 iirc, +spd –something
This is a consideration more than anything. I don’t really like Gaius’ art but I do love Gaius, and daggers are in a marginally better place than before or at least more interesting, so if I get more 4* copies of him I might build something out of that, probably with a Smoke Dagger.
Staves
+spd –hp
Free summon from Maria and Minerva’s BHB banner, and my only 5* healer, lol.
I have the exact same IVs on a 4* copy, which is now merged to +4. My plan with all healers (that aren’t 5* exclusive, not that I have any of those) is to make them 4*+10s with 5* unlocked staves, so I guess once I get 3 or 4 more Marias I will merge this one into the 4* copy as well. I like the golden sparkles and everything but stats are more important, and I’m just not willing to work on 5* merges for healers on my main.
Since healers don’t really differ that much from one another, at least not when they’re 4*, here’s the rest of the ones I have. I’m not going to look up their IVs because who cares. Most of them will have theirs changed before I’m done with them.
(both +4)
(+2)
(+1 iirc?)
That’s pretty much all. I’m going to promote a copy of Azama/Serra/Wrys/Lissa/Clarine (who’s a horse but I didn’t talk about her or Prissy last time) once I get them to a high merge level to unlock their staves. As for Sakura/Lucius/Lachesis/Priscilla I’m probably just going to wait until they inevitably pitybreak me so I don’t waste my feathers.
Part 2 will cover tomes and also probably V!Eliwood!

[JPUL] 11/30/2016 - Large Scale Updates
11-30-2016, 02:38 AM

This week's update is the 2nd Anniversary update for Japanese Unison League. Happy two agonizing spawn rates years, JPUL! Now the problem is where to begin... Please be aware that I may or may not have made some mistake(s) in translations. Thank you!
1. DEF Gear Changes It's confirmed. Defensive Gear now have Elements added to them, and will now be a factor towards damage calculation. According to the Notices, Percent and fixed damage is unaffected by these changes, and that reduction values are different between Quests, Guild Battles, Colosseum, and etc. Reforge requirements will change for the DEF Gear to match their element. So a Fire DEF Gear will now require 2 Red Passas instead of 1 Yellow and 1 Purple. In addition to that, EXCEPT for Non-elemental Monsters, Unison Monster Attacks are also affected by the element resistances, so their attacks are increased in Ability Power:
Attacks with 1 Hit (e.g. Physoth): 60AP Increase
Attacks with 2 Hits (e.g. Marduk): 30AP Increase
Attacks with 3 Hits (e.g. Hatsune Miku): 20AP Increase
Attacks with 4 or more Hits (e.g. Eva-02): 20AP Increase
Attacks with 1-3 Hits with chance of missing (e.g. Kirin): 30AP Increase
Attacks with 3-6 Hits with chance of missing (e.g. Mary): 20AP Increase
These are the sum of hits, so a monster that hits physical damage 1 time and magic damage 1 time counts as a 2 hit monster attack.
Examples of Elements added to DEF Gear include the Secret XL series of Gear. (Fire (which we still don't have yet on global WINKWINKNUDGENUDGE) will be Fire element, Snow series will be Water element, Meow series will be Light element, and Lotus series will be Dark element), Element Rush series Gear (Apollo's will be Fire, Avsaris's will be Water, etc.)
2. Ability Adjustments A couple of Abilities are adjusted.
Severe Sting
Break bonus increased.
Cooldown reduced from 7 to 6.
Aid
HP heal increased from 90 to 120.
Cast time reduced.
Greater Aid
Cast time reduced.

Unit Viability Speculation - Sygna Suit Ethan
Buddy, what happened to your hair?
And now the Striker. Lugia here is about damage and is going to punch you. Aeroblast is the big damage, but I’m going to be honest...buffed crit rate means lower BP and he has a gimmick that makes this irrelevant. X Sp Atk is...choices. Whirlpool is...choices. And his trainer move gives crit next and +3 special moves up next, and a 50% chance to lower sync cooldown by 1. The stacks are really, really good, we’ve seen Samurai Guzma go nuts with that. But otherwise, a 1MP move that offers no permanent buffs? That seems dire, right?
MP Regain 9. When the user’s move is successful, regains 1 MP. Remember Summer Gloria? How her strategy was a sort of load, fire, reload, etc type deal? Yeah, Ethan decided he could do that, but better. Use trainer move, guarantee your next crit and +120% damage, fire Aeroblast, trainer move, Aeroblast, until they stop breathing. Oh, but we’re not done. “That seems kinda slow, maybe it’s not that good.” You would think that, if you didn’t see Extend Range. He got Anni N’s passive. So he hits all foes with Aeroblast, and suffers no penalty for it, with a guaranteed crit and +120% damage. Oh, and here’s one for you. His last passive is Brainpower. Full 100% bonus sync damage at max special attack. Seriously, can we please adjust Anni Lillie to be Brainpower instead of Brain Sync 3? It’s getting more and more insulting as time goes on.
Naturally he has Johto Pride, so at least more sensible than Lyra thanks to sync matching the base attack. So how’s the grid? Grand Entry 2. So he is three turns of setup, fire a guaranteed crit sync nuke, fire AoE Aeroblast, then begin the back and forth until you win. He gets good Rain tools, Interference Sync 5 which is nice with Whirlpool if you want it, and Sync Thinker 9, which is another stack of special moves next after sync. So now that first Aeroblast is 160% bonus damage. Trainer Move has Fleet Feet, which is nice, but it also has BOGO 4, a 50% chance for that Aeroblast to just cost nothing. Which is really, really funny. And Brawn Gain 2, which is a 30% chance of another special moves up next effect. Goddamn with this kid.
I don’t feel like I need to explain it, but yes, this is really goddamn good. AoE Flying damage with no penalty, acting at more than double damage every time you fire it, means he actually does exceed standard damage per turn. Having Spirit alongside it is insane, especially as a Striker, because Johto is short on strikers but abundant in its supports. Not that he needs them. He’s ideal three-turn setup. Park BP Morty on him for defensive buffs, Pretty sure you’ll be fine. SS Ethan wants for very little, and is incredibly effective at his role. The only thing you could possibly argue is that Flying is a fairly common typing among the premium options out there, but I’d hazard a guess that, beyond Anni Skyla’s sync nuke and disruptive abilities for Gauntlet, he’s the best Flying-type we’ve got. He’s an almost immediate wipe of a CS stage, and I’d be willing to bet does stupid well in Gauntlet too. With his stacking ability, it wouldn’t surprise me if he had the potential to just outright bypass phases of a fight when needed. He’s absolutely worth getting, but he’s also the least exciting to me. I tend to value supportive abilities over raw damage, so the appeal of a Rain-based Ingo and the first Grassy Terrain setter is just higher than Lugia’s bonkers damage.
