Imagine Yandere Sonic with a reader who’s very motherly towards Tails :3 because even though he’s a Yandere that’s still his little guy !! He raised him !! And now his love wants to help !!
A/n: this took a while
Yandere sonic x reader motherly towards tails
You didn’t expect to find yourself so attached to a little fox with two tails, but Miles (tails as Sonic and pretty much everyone else called him) had wormed his way into your heart.
From the moment you met him, you saw the brilliant kid who was so eager to impress his older brother. Sonic had told you plenty about Tails, practically beaming whenever he talked about the little fox’s inventions or plans that saved the whole team numerous times. Seeing Sonic so proud of someone was endearing, but meeting Tails for yourself had sealed the deal.
Tails was a sweetheart, and you adored him almost immediately.
The first time you saw him, he had been tinkering with one of his many gadgets in his workshop. His fur was messy, and he had goggles that sat crooked on his head.
"You're Tails, right?" you had asked, kneeling down to his height. "Sonic’s told me so much about you."
His ears perked up. "What'd he say?"
"He said you’re the smartest, most resourceful guy he knows. I mean, I’m looking at all this" you gestured to the various gadgets scattered around. "and I’m already impressed."
From that moment, you’d made it your mission to look out for him. Sure, Sonic was protective of Tails, but you couldn’t help wanting to mother the poor fox. He was still a kid, after all, and while he had Sonic to guide him, you felt that he needed someone to dote on him, to remind him to take breaks and eat properly when he got too caught up in his work.
Sonic noticed your attachment to Tails almost immediately, and it struck a chord deep within him.
You loved Tails.
His Tails.
Watching the two of you interact pulled on his heart strings.
In Sonic’s mind, this was perfect. You didn’t just care about him, you cared about the person he cared about most. It solidified the idea that you were meant to be part of his little "family." After all, you didn’t just love him, you loved both of them.
But that also came with complications.
While Sonic was thrilled that you cared for Tails, it also ignited a possessive streak in him that was hard to control. He had always been protective of Tails, almost to a fault, and seeing you step into that role stirred something in him.
On the surface, he was supportive, even encouraging you to spend time with Tails. But underneath, his obsession simmered.
What if Tails started to love you more than he loved Sonic? What if you started to love Tails more than you loved him?
The thought made him feel sick, and he hated himself for it. Tails was his little guy, he practically raised him, taught him everything he knew. But you were his, and sometimes, Sonic couldn’t shake the feeling that Tails was stealing bits and pieces of your attention that belonged to him.
Still, he kept those thoughts buried deep. For the most part, he let you mother Tails, but not without inserting himself at every opportunity.
One afternoon, you had brought Tails a basket of sandwiches and snacks, knowing he’d probably been up in his workshop for hours without eating. Sonic had tagged along, of course, watching from a distance as you fussed over the young fox.
"Tails, you’ve got to eat something," you said, placing the basket on the workbench. "You can’t run on fumes."
Tails looked up from his latest project, blinking in surprise. "Oh, I guess I forgot, my bad..."
You gave him a gentle smile and pushed the basket toward him. "That’s what I’m here for. Now, take a break, okay? Your inventions can wait a few minutes."
Sonic leaned against the doorframe, his arms crossed as he watched the scene unfold. His heart swelled at how caring you were, but there was a fleeting flicker of jealousy he couldn’t ignore.
When Tails finally relented and started eating, you ruffled his fur affectionately. "Good. See? Doesn't that feel better?"
Sonic's chest tightened. That should be me, he thought. I should be the one getting all their attention.
But instead of saying anything, he strolled into the workshop, putting on his usual confident grin.
"Hey, little buddy! Whatcha working on?" he asked, his tone light but his gaze flickering to you briefly.
Tails perked up. "Oh, trying to find a more efficient wnergy source for one of my planes!"
"Sweet! You’re gonna be flying circles around everyone." Sonic gave Tails a thumbs up, ruffling his head.
As the weeks went by, your bond with Tails only grew stronger, and so did Sonic’s obsession. He started orchestrating ways to keep you closer, using Tails as an excuse whenever he could.
"Hey, Tails is working on something dangerous. You should come keep an eye on him," hed say, even if Tails was just fixing something harmless.
Or, "Tails could use some help organizing his workshop. You’re so good at that stuff."
It wasn’t always subtle, but you didn’t question it. You were happy to help, and Sonic was happy to have you around.
Still, his possessiveness began to show in little ways. He would hover whenever you were with Tails, always inserting himself into conversations or finding excuses to touch you, a hand on your shoulder, an arm slung around your waist. If Tails noticed, he didn’t say anything, but you couldn’t ignore the way Sonic’s grip tightened whenever you paid more attention to Tails than to him.
One evening, after you had spent the entire day helping Tails with a new project, Sonic finally snapped.
"Y'know" he said casually as the two of you walked home "you're pretty good with Tails. Almost too good."
You raised an eyebrow, sensing the edge in his voice. "What’s that supposed to mean?"
Sonic stopped walking and turned to face you, his usual playful demeanor replaced entirely.
"I mean, you spend a lot of time with him," he said, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Not that I’m complaining, but... don’t forget about me, okay?"
You blinked, taken aback. "Sonic, I could never forget about you. You know that."
He stepped closer. "Do I? Sometimes it feels like you’re more interested in Tails than in me."
"That's not true," you said firmly. "I care about both of you."
"But you care about me more, right?"
"Right..?"

𝐓𝐀𝐆𝐒. dad!toji x wife!reader. fluff, just pure fluff. reader gets called ‘doll’ once.
Tumblr media
toji sits on the edge of megumi’s bed, arms casually draped over his knees, watching with an amused grin as you fuss over your son. you’re lecturing him about being more careful when playing with the other kids at daycare, replacing the bandages on his arms that had gotten scuffed from a tumble.
megumi sulks, his little face scrunched up, but he doesn’t dare to say a word. his gaze is cast downward and he knows better than to challenge you when you’re in your ‘mom’ mode.
toji chuckles to himself. the little brat—just like his old man, he thinks. neither of them ever have the guts to talk back when you’re laying down the law.
with a lazy smirk, toji reaches over and ruffles megumi’s hair in an affectionate and teasing way. “it's fine, doll,” he says in attempt to reassure you, “shit happens. ‘n it toughens up the kid.”
you shoot him a look over your shoulder and toji just shrugs. “he’s just like you, ya know,” you mutter as you brush a stray lock of hair from megumi's face. indeed, the little boy resembles his father in looks but also in personality. “stubborn, hard-headed. thinks he can take on the world without a scratch,” you sigh.
on one hand, you’re worried that megumi will get in real trouble one day because of it. but on the other hand, your son got an overprotective man as father. you know he will never let any harm befall either of you.
toji raises an eyebrow at your comment. oh, he knows and he’s proud of it. proud of his son, of the family he's created with you. “i mean—he needs to learn to take a few hits if he's gonna survive this world.”
you scoff before hugging megumi one last time. “mm, mama,” the toddler snuggles up to you, small hands clutching your shirt tightly. you feel the weight of his tiny form press against you while his cheek rests against your chest.
there’s something about the clingy way he holds you that melts something deep inside you. you press a gentle kiss to his messy hair, brushing a hand down his back as you breathe in the sweet, comforting scent of his shampoo.
“good night, sweets,” you murur, your voice barely above a whisper. “i love you.”
megumi’s small fingers tighten once more on your shirt as if reluctant to let go. his breathing is steady and you know he’s almost asleep. but then, your son shifts lightly. he pulls back from the hug enough to look up at toji, who’s leaning back against the headboard of the bed. he doesn't say a word, but there’s a clear look of expectation on his face, as though he's waiting for something only his dad can give.
toji meets his gaze with a blank expression that doesn’t give away a thing. he's clueless for a good couple seconds before picking up on what megumi wants.
your husband murmurs something incoherent before relenting. “yeah yeah, c'mere buddy,” he hums, his tone softening. he can't help it—even if he tries not to show the vulnerability in his demeanour.
“yay,” megumi's face brightens up a little and he eagerly reaches up with those tiny hands. toji pulls the kid into his arms, hugging him tighter than expected. the action is a little awkward, but there's no denying the warmth in it.
your heart melts as you witness the adorable scene before you. your son doesn’t seem to mind the tightness as his small arms encircle his father’s neck. it’s a simple moment between father and son, but it’s enough. enough for both of them.
toji pulls back after a little while. his eyes are softer than usual as he pinches megumi's button nose. “good night, kiddo,” he mutters, the words rough but warm, “don't let the bedbugs bite.”
megumi grins sleepily at him as he rubs his eyes. “i’ll kick their ass, papa,” he declares proudly, looking and acting more like his dad with the second. you roll your eyes and stand up from the bed. toji simply snorts, realising his son has picked up on the phrases he uses.
“tha’s right,” your husband nods after standing next to you, “you tell ‘em bedbugs to eat shi—”
“toji ,” you shush him with a swat to the bicep.
megumi lets out a small giggle in reply before laying back on his pillows. you pull the covers up to his chin and watch as his eyes slowly close, his body beginning to relax. the quiet rhythm of his breathing is the only sign of him settling down for the night.
toji lingers by the door and is simply content to watch you. you're always like this—so nurturing. he follows your every move as you leave a final kiss to your son’s cheek. the warmth that radiates in your presence, your affection, the simple yet tender moments are all things that make him fall in love with you over and over again.
you straighten up and turn towards toji, catching him staring. you can see the warmth in his eyes, the way his shoulders are completely relaxed, how that signature smirk of his seems more like a smile in that moment.
you chuckle to yourself before stepping out into the hallway, leaving the door slightly ajar. toji follows with his hands in the pockets of his sweatpants. the silence hangs between you two for a bit. it’s comforting and. . . secure.
“y’know, you’re a real softie, toji,” you comment to break the quiet atmosphere. you tilt your head back to look at the dark-haired man who’s now next to you. you know he still struggles with being vulnerable around your son. the sentimentality is still an aspect he's working on.
however, you see it; the emotional side of him. the warmth in his eyes, in his touch, in his words - even if he’s not all that soft spoken.
you can see right through him.
“don't worry though. your secret's safe with me,” you tease with a soft grin.
toji doesn’t say a word for a few seconds before he chuckles under his breath, “just keep that between us, aye?” he responds to your teasing. he’s just glad that he’s married a woman who understands him and accepts him as is.
you both head to the living room. the weight of your day finally seems to lift. the quiet house and the soft breaths of megumi drifting from his room, feels like the calm after a storm. there are challenges ahead, no doubt, but for now everything is alright.
toji wraps his muscular arm around your shoulders as you both sink into the couch. the television playing something in the background, but neither of you pay it much attention. you lean against him and sigh, eyes closing slowly.
“you think he's gonna… turn out okay?” you ask softly. you’re not really sure how to word your worries. your voice holds an uncertainity that causes toji to hold you tighter.
your husband doesn't answer right away. instead, he glances down at you and strokes your hair with his free hand. he nods and presses a chaste kiss to your forehead.
toji leans his head back afterwards, closing his own eyes. no matter what the future holds, he's sure megumi will grow up to be a strong young man.
“yeah. that kid’s gonna be alright.”

drying hair - sylus x mc reader
Tumblr media
sypnosis: literally just sylus drying your hair because he's whipped for you.
a/n: just had this cute thought of sylus drying your hair because for me personally i'm not a fan of it, and that's just one of the reasons why sylus would do it for you, other than that he loves the hell out of you. also not proud how i eneded this, writing has been a bitch latley because my brain won't work with me :( also no grammer check because i'm TIRED.
contains: mc!reader. sylus teasing you but you tease him back. call back to grassland romance. you thinking on your feelings for sylus. just bascially fluff.
word count: 1366
“Can I dry your hair, sweetie?”
It was a simple question, but it made you freeze and look at Sylus, who was towering above you from your seasted position at your desk, hair dryer in hand and ready to go.
Curiosity filled you at his offer, and other times you would have followed it, bothering Sylus until he either revealed why or you would do your own investigation.
But your arms were already aching from the towel drying, and you really did want to relax today after a grueling day fighting Wanders and filling reports. You had planned the rest of the day for ultimate relaxation and the only thing that would make it worse was drying your hair, a process you had to admit was not enjoyable for you.
So if you can get out of it, why not?
“Ok,” You give him a nod. “Sure.”
And Sylus looked…absolutely delighted. His eyes shined and his smile was pure and you pondered why he’s reacting that way to do something for you, then again could you really be surprised? He’s made it known that he is at your beck and call, anything you want he’ll get you. You’re positive that if you asked him that you wanted a specific food item that can only be obtained within it’s country, Sylus would get it for you the next day.
Those gestures still made you nervous as you weren’t used to such things, but at least now you graciously accept them instead of telling him off and refusing his gifts. Now it was cheeks burning and heart pounding, and your still quite puzzled on how your feelings for him have changed.
You forget about the hair dryer until it’s turned on in his hands, the buzzing pulls you our of your thoughts and focuses on the man now behind you. His free hand threads through your damp hair, fingernails just grazing your skull and you hold back a shiver of delight at the touch.
“Hold still now, kitten.”
The warm air hits you like a gentle breeze as Sylus starts the task, his fingers gentle as they part your hair to reach every part, the dryer not staying in one place too long to avoid a burning sensation on your skull.
With your hands empty, your fingers fidget together, unsure of what to do. You have the twitch you squirm which you fight against, so you keep your eyes down, focusing on the flower pattern on your silk nightgown, another gift from Sylus.
You hear a chuckle lined with amusement that spreads embarrassment through your body. “Head up, sweetie.”
You can imagine the look on his face, that teasing smirk with creased corners at his eyes that holds mirth. You swallow and push back your fluster as you raise your head, your eyes promptly looking back into the mirror and ranking over the state of your hair, only to catch his own staring back at you.
They’re enchanting, like ruby gems that only shine for you. Flowers dead in a field that will only bloom in your presence, something poisonous that is only sweet on your tongue. The way he looks at you was as if you were the only thing that existed in the universe, the way they radiate and all the emotions they hold just for you is…exhilarating.
A silent gasp leaves your lips when you notice how long you’ve been staring at Sylus through the mirror, and how he’s been staring back. His hand slides from your hair to your bare shoulder, his touch sending a shock of electricity through your body.
“You’ve been staring for a while, kitten. What’s going on in that pretty head of yours.”
You push the comment, trying not to let him get under your skin. “Just making sure you know what your doing. Messing with my hair isn’t something you should do.”
“Oh?” He’s teasing again, that damn smirk back on his lips. His eyes leave yours as he threads his fingers through your hair again. “I assure you, sweetie, that I would never mess with your hair, or don’t you remember what I said back in the Grasslands?”
“I like your hair.”
Of course you remember that, you remember everything that happened when the two of you were transported to another place, either back in time or another universe, your still not quite sure, but you were thankful for it nonetheless. It was a turning point for your relationship with Sylus, where you allowed the two of you to go closer and accepted that your feelings towards him were growing.
“...I remember.” Your cheeks burning as you admit it - remember it. His fingers grazed through your hair like he’s doing now. “I also remember you saying that you would work on your braiding skills.”
He hums, which isn’t as off-key as his singing, thankfully. “But to do that I would need a lot of time practicing on your hair to honor my skills.” He looks back at you through the mirror, catching your still eyes. “Would you give me your permission, kitten?”
You imagine it, days of Sylus’ fingers combing through your hair as he braids the threads, tutorials playing as he watches intensely, pins and all sorts on your desk to hold his work in place. You imagine yourself, helping him through it all, teasing him when he’s stuck and cheering him up if something goes wrong.
It feels nice, domestic even.
You can’t help but smile at it, your stomach filled with butterflies at the thought of doing such things with Sylus.
“I would.”
He gives a huff of amusement, but the smile on his lips is pure and real. Perhaps he’s been thinking of such things with you, and it makes you feel giddy.
He goes back to drying your hair and you close your eyes, finally relaxing. You allow yourself to sink into his touch as his fingers comb through your hair, enjoying how gentle and peaceful it makes you feel.
“All done.” Sylus clicks off the dryer and you open your eyes to look at yourself in the mirror, ranking over the state of your now dried hair
You hum. “Not bad for your first time.”
“I’ll take that,” He chuckles. “Though like I said before, I would need to practice more on you to get it right.”
“You have permission for that as well.”
“Good.”
His fingers are back in your hair and your amazed how at ease it makes you feel, giving him permission to touch your hair more might be better for yourself rather than him.
Though you wonder…
You turn and look at him, redness on your cheeks as you retort. “As long as I can do the same to your hair.”
He looks surprised by your words and it makes you feel smug as you don’t get that reaction often. But he finally smiles and cups your cheeks, bringing your face so close to his that his nose brushes against yours. “You can do that and more to me, sweetie. I’ll never say no to you.”
Now your sure your a blushing mess, if not by your burning cheeks, then certainly by your pulsing heart that your positive Sylus hears.
God, how does this man make you feel this way so easily?
To hide it all you tease him back. “That’s a pretty big statement to say Sylus. Never say no to me? I wonder how far I can go with that.”
“I look forward to finding out, kitten.” He replies before leaning back, but not before booping your nose. “Now it’s time for bed. I remember a certain someone saying they were going to sleep early to improve their health.”
You don’t even get up from the chair as Sylus has you in his arms in seconds, a squeal of surprise leaving your lips as he carries you to the bed, laying you down gently and settling down beside you..
“Rest now.” His arms wrap around your waist, holding you to his chest as you cuddle under the silk sheets. “We have fun days ahead of us, so make sure not to be tired once they come.”

prohero!bakugou katsuki x prohero!reader, fem!reader (bkg calls u his wife), established relationship
"we’re joined by none other than the pro-hero dynamight, who has recently climbed the ranks to secure the coveted number 2 spot in the hero rankings! known for his explosive quirk and even more explosive personality, bakugou katsuki has—"
"they know who i am," pro-hero dynamight, your husband, grumbles. he's grumpy as ever, arms crossed and glaring at the news anchor, who shrinks away slightly in fear. "keep it short, i've got places to be."
you want to be mad at him for giving his pr team a hard time yet again, but your heart warms at his words. when he says he's got places to be, you know he means coming home to you.
"r- right! so sorry about that! dynamight, you must be ecstatic about climbing the ranks! how does it feel to—"
"always feels good to beat icyhot," he interrupts just as an image of pro-hero shoto pops up on-screen. katsuki flashes a smirk at the camera, and you can't help but grin. "can't say i'm surprised 'bout it, though."
"o- oh! right," the poor news anchor lady laughs nervously. "you must be ecstatic! congratulations on the big win, dyna—"
"nah, i haven't won yet," dynamight shrugs.
"oh. um." the news anchor lady looks like she's about to burst into tears and quit her job on japanese live television. she flashes a worried glance off-camera. you wonder if she's plotting her escape.
you don't blame her, honestly. you're perplexed by katsuki's response too.
katsuki points directly into the camera, and you feel like it's directed at you even before he speaks.
"my wife's gotta catch up to me first."
your grin spreads, and you feel like you're back in u.a., falling in love with katsuki all over again. "challenge accepted, dynamight."
you fling yourself at katsuki when he comes home later that evening.
"number 2!!" you cry happily, wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him down for a kiss. "you're the best, 'suki. m'so proud of you."
"thank you, darling," katsuki grins a real toothy grin at you, and you know you're looking at a winner. despite his nonchalant act on tv, katsuki knows he's won. he's dreamt of this for so long. he's ecstatic.
katsuki cups your cheeks and rubs his nose against yours sweetly, before letting his hands fall to your waist. he smirks. "did ya catch my interview earlier?"
katsuki snickers as you roll your eyes and push at his chest playfully. "yeah, yeah. your wife's falling behind on the rankings, got it."
"falling behind?" katsuki's smirk drops as he raises a brow at you. "no, you ain't. you worked hard as always, number 4."
"i'm still behind," you pouted.
katsuki smiles at you as he pats your head affectionately.
"join me in top 3," katsuki says. it sounds like an order, a demand, but despite the challenge in his words, his tone is warm and encouraging, and his eyes are full of love.
you can feel it. he believes in you.
"next time, we'll be number 1 and 2," you grin.
"damn right. izuku can eat our dust."

‧₊˚✧ Welcome to the Family‧₊˚✧
↳ Getting Culture Shock from Your Friendly Family
feat: Sebek ❋ Silver ❋ Malleus genre: fluff, note: no pronouns were used for reader, established relationships, TWST characters’ age are canon-accurate (so no underage drinking),
So... I sort of misinterpreted a request and there's just too much to change so I'm gonna have to redraft an entire writing post. But, I felt like it'd be a waste to delete this so I hope you enjoy this random plot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The culture shock hit the fae the moment your boisterous family opened the doors with bright smiles and excited cheers.
“You must be Sebek! Come in, come in!”
Word must have spread because not only your parents, but Sebek ended up being introduced to your aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, grand-aunts and uncles who were visiting your parents that day. Apparently, your extended family tree was ‘coincidentally’ in the area and wanted to drop by to see the man you brought home.
A simple lunch plan became an all-out buffet with your family pulling out the extra chairs and plates. Sebek insisted on helping with the heavy lifting which your parents adamantly refused.
“A guest doesn’t do anything!” “That’s right, just relax and have a drink!”
“Dad, he’s 16.”
Sebek was in slight awe of the power your human family possessed, not really physical power but rather their charismatic aura that he couldn’t fight against. Sebek came from a good home as well, but this feeling of intimacy and acceptance from a group of humans that owes him no such hospitality is new to him.
It was as if he was reduced to a pampered child and any responsibility or obligation, he had was taken off his shoulders.
Once the table was set, Sebek’s vision was overcome by a whirlwind of hands, utensils, and food. Without lifting a finger, the green-haired guest had a mountain of food piled up on his large plate. It was a cuisine unlike the Briar Valley’s food he was familiar with, but the aroma was too tempting to ignore.
The house was full of loud chatter and laughter that brought a sense of homely warmth to Sebek.
Sebek came from a good home as well, but this feeling of intimacy and acceptance from a group of humans that owes him no such hospitality is new to him.
This feeling of being swept away by your family was… strange but not unpleasant.
"So, how are you keeping up with my family?” You cheekily questioned the tall young man, finally alone as the two of you hid in the sanctuary that was your bedroom.
After lunch, the little ones in the family were taking advantage of your boyfriend’s trained body as they climbed and swung on him like a jungle gym. Of course, you trusted Sebek as he kept his stance and never once did he drop or falter while the children played to their heart’s content.
“Hmph, as if a bunch of humans could ever be a challenge for a knight such as myself.” Sebek huffed with all his bravado, but you see the gel in his hair slightly wearing off from sweat.
You smiled regardless. “That’s good, then. I’m honestly surprised that you're so good with kids.”
The green-haired man smirked with confidence. “Of course, I would not be so easily taken down by such a puny number of opponents.”
“Please don’t call my cousins your opponents.”
Sebek straightened his back as he puffed up his chest. “I am personally impressed that your family are not deterred by me, since not many can handle someone of proud fae blood such as myself!”
You hummed humorously at him. You knew behind those arrogant words, you knew that he was actually nervous about your family being put off by him, be it for his heritage or his abrasive personality. You even swore that his hair seemed a little more gelled up than usual, hoping to look good in front of your family.
Slowly, you wrapped your arms around Sebek’s broad shoulders, with Sebek instinctively stiffening from your touch. “My family loves you because they can see what I see. Who do you think raised me?”
Sebek relaxed and turned his head to meet your eyes. His softened eyes reflected in yours as his hidden worries dissipated from your words.
Both of you felt a mutual pull towards each other, lips leaning ever close to touch-
Knock Knock
Sebek well nearly flung you to the other side of your room in panic, his face burning with embarrassment while your face expressed more shock and a little indignation.
“Mom and auntie said there’s snacks, so come down.” A tiny carefree voice came through the door before footsteps walking away followed after.
Maybe Sebek was right. Your cousins were opponents, indeed.

The moment you and Silver step foot into your family home, you weren’t sure who’s the guest and who’s the actual family member anymore.
Silver was pulled to the center of the sofa with your family crowding him, cooing and praising the handsome man.
“Such soft hair, you take good care of yourself!”
“Not only that, you have a strong body too. You must eat well, that’s good.”
He’s not your boyfriend, he’s our future son-in-law
Silver is fairly used to this kind of energy thanks to a certain easygoing fae but he does internally heave a sigh of relief that your family seem welcoming of him. Being a human from a primarily fae kingdom, he wasn’t sure how he would come across to other humans.
If you ever worry about the potential gawkers Silver would attract with his good looks and personality, imagine that…but with your very own blood-bonded family.
You and your family had to suppress your bubbling laughter as you watched your little siblings' eyes sparkle at the prince-like young man you brought home. They quickly latched onto the confused knight-in-training, chubby hands either gripping the leg of his pants or raised up high asking for a hug.
“Should I up my game so I won’t lose my only boyfriend?”
You finally couldn’t stop yourself from laughing when said boyfriend asserted with such a convicted expression that he would never stray from you.
Finally, you and Silver had a moment to yourself…or at least one as close as you can get while your little siblings run amok at the park nearby. While the adults were cooking up a storm back home, the children wanted to play outside which led you and your boyfriend on babysitting duty.
“So…” you started the conversation while the two of you leisurely sat under the shade of a hefty tree. “How are you feeling? I know my family can get a little…much.”
“They remind me of Father in many ways.” Even with some drowsiness in his voice, Silver replied without hesitation. “It was almost like being in a room with multiple versions of him.”
“Is that a good thing?”
The fair man looked over to the park where your siblings were yelling and running without a care in a world. He knew they could feel so carefree because they have you watching over them and have a whole room full of people waiting for them with a warm, hearty meal.
Never alone, never unloved. A big, joyful family.
And these loving people readily welcomed him, a child with mysterious origins and an unfamiliar upbringing. Silver didn't want to come off as unapproachable or disrespectful due to his quiet demeanor, but your family was unaffected in the least and accepted him with open arms.
Silver smiled at you like a man blessed by the heavens. “It’s wonderful. I never thought my life could feel even brighter and warmer than it already is.”
You smiled back, warmth filling your heart after hearing the man you love equally cherishing the people precious to you.
Perhaps Silver’s sleepiness has rubbed off on you as you felt compelled to rest your head on his side, with Silver immediately laying his head atop of yours.
“Next time, let’s invite Lilia too.” A quick look of panic was shared between you two. “He’s not allowed in the kitchen, though.”
“Agreed.”

Malleus, a being of pure fae blood, was the most clueless of what to expect at a human gathering which led to a multitude of questions regarding human customs. It was rather adorable to watch this imposing figure pace back and forth over the most minor of concerns.
“What is the customary gift to offer your family as a greeting?”
“I don’t know, wanna try gold bars? Haha…wait Malleus don’t actually-!”
After calming your boyfriend's nerves, the two of you finally reached your home where your family were excitedly waiting for you and the man you brought.
Of course your family is impressed by the magnificent figure that was Malleus and the inhuman features that the fae worried over were instead adored and admired.
“His horns look strong but shiny, so sleek.”
“Such a tall, handsome man! A little skinny, but very healthy and that’s what matters.”
Mayhap, this lack of fear of yours is an inherited trait.
Soon, compliments turned to gifts as your family bombarded Malleus (and by extension you, I guess) with things around the house that they think kids your age would like. Free prizes they’ve won, treats the family bought too many of, presents given by other relatives or friends…everything was suddenly in his hands and lap.
It was almost entertaining watching your boyfriend, who could literally acquire any materialistic goods he could want for, get overwhelmed by all the gifts and trinkets that he could barely carry in his arms.
“Just be grateful, Malleus. At least they hadn’t given shopping bags filled with those dried fruit snacks you mentioned were good yet.”
A sense of calm and peace finally came over your household. Well, your family’s version of calm at least, which is everyone sitting around the living room, chatting while watching a melodrama with that attractive actor your grandmother likes.
Imagine the confusion and slight concern on Malleus’s face as your mother tried to explain the plot of the whole series.
“Is he not aware of how his mother is treating his paramour? How can he let this be?”
“Malleus sweetie, he’s been in the hospital this whole time because of that car accident with his half-brother. That’s why the mother is trying to get rid of the girl before he wakes!”
You chuckled at the scene of your sweet boyfriend giving his full attention to your mother’s passionate venting, but a pang of anxiety pricked you.
Your family can be quite boisterous and forward, even by typical human family standards. You never wanted to pry into Malleus’s personal life but you can’t imagine any noble fae behaving like your family do. You are by no means embarrassed by your family, but you’d hate the idea that Malleus was feeling uncomfortable but far too courteous to speak out.
Gently, you called Malleus’s attention with a subtle touch atop his hand. When he turned to you, you motioned him to lean down to whisper into his ear. “If we get too loud, you can excuse yourself. I can cover for you.”
Malleus felt aghast by your words. Was he giving off any signs of dissatisfaction? That was not his intention at all.
Yes, your family is unlike most families the young fae heir have encountered. In fact, they are unlike most people he has encountered in general. No one would be brave enough to crowd him so freely, to pull one of the strongest mages of their time around to their whim.
In contrast to the large, silent halls of his throne room in his castle, Malleus found himself nearly squished into a couch with someone at every direction while chatter filled this comparatively small home.
How delightful this has been for him to be a part of this lovely family.
Hoping to convey his sincerest thoughts, Malleus encompasses your hand in his, whispering softly to you.
“I’m enjoying myself, truly.”
Your mother suddenly perked up, looking away from her phone she was typing away on. “Oh, honey! My friend group is planning on a road trip to this cute retreat. Would you and Malleus want to join us?”
“Are you…inviting me?”
If Malleus’s tail was visible right now, do you think you’d see it wagging excitedly?

Bucky traded lazy kisses with you as your tears slowed, and you had no idea if it was his mouth that had your heart pounding and the crushing weight of everything that surrounded him. It was so much to unpack. Every encounter with him seemed to be that way. Something blindsided you or suffocated you, but you hadn't been at all prepared for what he just shared. And how could you? He didn't keep photos of his mother around, and you hadn't gone poking around online.
Would you have found out the truth if you had?
He followed your lips when you pulled away. “It’s okay,” he whispered, pulling you back in.
It wasn’t okay. Nothing was okay. Though it partially made sense now why he was moving so fast. He believed if he met you then that you would've fallen in love and been together to this day. Because he didn't seek you out then and lost so much time, he was packing everything into a rushed time span. Dating, meeting his friends, getting you into his place. He was moving things along at an accelerated speed, and you were barely keeping up with the ride.
“No.” The muffled word against his lips somehow rang out loud and clear enough for him to stop, but you put a hand on his chest in case he tried to lean in again. “Why are you punishing me?”
His eyes rounded. “You think I’m punishing you? Jesus, why would you think that?”
“Because of how you went about all of this. I know you were desperate, and I get the drive behind some of your actions now,” you said, which you refused to excuse. You got it but couldn’t excuse it. “Your response of ‘where’s the fun in that?’ when I said you couldn’t just ask me out like a normal person? You almost seemed to delight in intimidating me. Why?”
If you saved his mom, why do this?
“I didn’t delight in that. I played it wrong,” he admitted in a quiet voice, surprising you. “I approached it like…”
“Like everything else in your life where you have everyone under your thumb through fear. You did the same thing to me.” You laughed just a little. “In a way, it worked because I’m officially afraid to try to leave you.”
Had things blossomed between you two organically, you’d like to believe that things would’ve been better. Healthy. There was always the chance that a relationship might’ve come to an end because life was like that. But if he frightened you enough to stay forever, he’d never have to worry. The stars would still align as far as he was concerned.
“I don’t want you to fear me or what we have,” he whispered, reaching for you as you scooted back.
“What we have? Tell me, do you think your mom would be proud of your actions to obtain me or ashamed?” You couldn’t believe that was the kind of man she raised, to put fear into the heart of the person he supposedly loved.
He flinched. Actually flinched. You might as well have raised a hand to him. “She…” He swallowed. “She would’ve wanted us together.”
“Like this? By you not giving me a choice?” you asked, pushing yourself up. “I need to go home.” There would be no getting through to him and this revelation was doing your head in. One cup of coffee wasn't enough either.
He got up to follow you. “Why are you rushing off?”
“I have a shift today, and I have to go home and shower,” you said, grabbing some of your things. “Don’t worry about dropping me off. I’ll get a cab.”
“What? No, you-”
“You put money in my account, so it’s not like I have to worry about paying for it. And it’s not like I’ll be alone either since you’ll have me followed whether I want it or not,” you said as a matter of fact.
“You’re putting a wall up,” he said, frowning as you grabbed your phone charger before he could. “Don’t shut me out, please.”
“I’m not shutting you out. I’m trying to process the gigantic bombshell you dropped on me,” you said, stopping to look at him when he grabbed your arm. “Bucky-”
“This has been a lot, all of it, but we can’t go back and change it, and you know I can’t let you go because we’re meant to be together,” he said, his eyes searching yours. “You feel it. I know you do.”
How many times would he say that until you agreed? “Just because you think fate stepped in-”
“Fate brought you into my club, but I gave it a much-needed push to bring us together after leaving things to chance for so long,” he said, tugging you closer and putting his other hand on your cheek. “You can’t tell me you don’t care about me in some capacity. You’re just afraid to admit it because it isn’t conventional in your eyes, but you don’t have to be afraid of how you feel.”
How could you truly fall in love with him when he orchestrated everything from the start? “Feelings or not you’re still going to force me to move in with you soon, and that scares me,” you said. Your wings would forever be clipped.
“We should’ve been living together and married by now,” he argued, keeping a tight hold on you. “I know I’m making you move in sooner than you want, but beyond safety it’ll give us a chance to really know each other before we get married.”
Talk of marriage had your heart thudding. The man would probably force you to marry him sooner than you wanted. “You said you already know everything about me,” you said. At least he thought he knew you. The vision of you he built up in his mind scared you, too. He couldn’t keep you on that pedestal.
“But you don’t fully know me yet, and I don’t know what it’s like to live with you. The experience will bring us closer together.” His smile was full of hope. “We can read together, do movie nights, dance in the kitchen.”
“Bucky-”
“We can exercise together, in and out of bed,” he continued, your breath hitching as he rubbed his nose against yours. “Don’t you already feel closer to me now that you know we're meant to be?”
A quick knock on the door followed by a long one saved you from answering. “It isn't check-out time, is it?”
“No. That would be Ray,” Bucky headed to the door and kept you back a small distance before he answered. The man really was protective, wasn't he?
“I’m sorry to intrude,” Ray said, giving you a polite nod before he leaned in and whispered something to Bucky. Whatever was said to him made his face harden. The entire change in his demeanor worried you.
“Kotyonok, let’s get your bag and get you back to your place so you can get ready for work,” he suggested, his smile tight.
“What’s the matter?” you asked.
“I’ll tell you later,” he answered, kissing your forehead. “And before we go, I know you suggested taking a cab, but please let Ray take you back to your place. It would make me feel better.”
The hint of a plea in his voice and the look in Ray’s eyes kept you from protesting. “Fine, Ray can take me home. Just give me a second to change out of these pajamas,” you said, a bit surprised that Bucky wasn’t offering to take you home himself. “But you are going to tell me later what’s going on, right?” you asked.
“I will, but I need some answers myself first. Get changed. I’ll get your bag,” he said, gently guiding you to the bathroom so you could change and officially ending that conversation.
Ray was still by the entry door once you came out, looking a bit stiffer than usual, too. You stole a glance at Bucky as the three of you headed to the elevator, catching the anger etched in his features as he gripped your bag handle tight enough that you thought it would rip. They were leaving you in the dark about something. You weren’t sure if you could take any other bombshells.
“Ray may need to pick you up from work instead of me, but I’ll message you if that’s the case,” Bucky said, fixing his hair in the elevator reflection. “And… we may need to talk about your girls’ day out.”
“What about it?” you asked, already knowing where he was going with this.
“If you can cancel or reschedule it,” he replied.
You stared hard at him. Where was that coming from? “No, it's tomorrow, and I’m not cancelling or rescheduling. And don’t you dare use Zemo as an excuse to get your way,” you snapped. Even if it was a valid reason, you didn’t want to hear it.
His jaw clenched, but he looked sad as he glanced at you. “I just don’t know if it’s a good idea.”
“We talked about this. If it’s a safety issue, Ray agreed that someone could watch out for me. That should keep me safe,” you reminded him. You’d be fine. “Right, Ray?”
The blonde stared straight ahead. “That isn’t my decision,” he said apologetically.
Your shoulders slumped. For a short time, you thought he could be on your side or at least help give you some slack. “Right. Because you don't get to make decisions, and neither do I. You’re a bodyguard, I’m just a doll,” you said, looking straight ahead, too, and pulling your hand back when Bucky tried to take it. “Please, don’t.”
“Kotyonok…” Bucky sighed as the door opened. You marched out, not waiting for either of them. “Wait.”
You headed straight for the desk, feeling sadder when you didn’t see Natasha. “Checking out, please,” you said, sliding the room card over to the woman standing there.
“Of course. I hope you enjoyed your stay.” She looked behind you likely at Bucky before giving you a smile. “Ms. Romanoff also wanted to remind you that you have a place here if you need one.”
“I’m sure I’ll take her up on that soon,” you said, turning your head to glare at Bucky. While his expression was stoic, his eyes told you he didn’t want you to be upset with him. “And make sure she adds an inconvenience fee to the damaged wall bill. She’ll know what I mean.”
“I’ll be sure to do that,” she smiled. “Take care.”
Bucky was hot on your heel and you didn't make it two steps out the door before he had a hand on you. “You’re upset with me. Putting up more of that wall.”
You didn't speak until Ray walked past you to get his car. “You’re trying to get me to cancel my day out with my friends, after you went through the whole charade of buying me a new dress for it and everything. And after what you told me about your mom.” You took a breath to try to calm down. “Yeah, I’m upset, and yeah, you’re supplying me with the very bricks to build that wall.”
“I said we may need to talk about it, I didn’t flat out say you weren’t going,” he corrected you. He might as well have. “I know it means a lot to you, but-”
You held a hand up. “No. There are no ‘buts’ in this. For all you keep taking from me, I don’t ask for much. I really don't,” you stated. In fact, you’ve shown lots of restraint. “Who knows how many moments I’ll get like this with my friends once you move me in.” He wasn’t about to take this small thing from you after everything.
He titled his head. “You think I’ll keep you from them?”
“Part of me thinks you will, yes. Because as soon as I think that there’s hope, the second I think that we could be closer together while you loosen the reins, you say or do something that puts me back in your full control,” you said. He had to see that. “And every time you do that, like you are right now, it makes me want to push you away.”
“And you can push all you want, but I’ll just pull you closer,” he smiled, making you huff when he actually did so. “I’m not afraid to let you burn me.”
“You keep saying that. Give me a match or a lighter and we’ll test that theory,” you said. He burst out laughing, the sound loud in the morning air as your eyes widened. “Why are you laughing?” you asked incredulously. How could he laugh when you were still worked up?
“Because even arguing with you makes me happy,” he sincerely stated. “And now all I want to do is find a way to put a smile back on your face.”
You exhaled. He was so in love with the idea of a relationship with you that arguments appealed to him? Anyone else would've walked away by now.
“You’re infuriating,” you whispered when he touched the corner of your mouth and made it twitch in a small smile. “Impossible.”
“I know,” he whispered back, running a hand through his hair. “Listen, you’re tired and you’re overwhelmed, which is completely my fault. Am I right?”
“Yes,” you sighed. He hit it right on the nose.
“And maybe I was rash in suggesting that you cancel your plans, but I need to take care of a couple things before we discuss that more,” he said, leading you to Ray's car before you could protest. “You just have a good shift, okay?”
He was placating you now, and it was sadly working. “Fine,” you said, touching his hand, the metal one. “I don’t think I said so earlier, but thank you for finally telling me the truth,” you said, calmer than you were moments before. He should've told you from the start, but it couldn't have been easy reopening old wounds regarding his dad.
His gaze softened. “Thank you for letting me.”
“And whatever Ray told you or whatever’s going on, just breathe, okay?” you begged.
He took a deep breath. “I’ll just think of you and it’ll help,” he said, adding in a low voice as he pulled you against him. “And this.”
This was nothing like the slow, languid kisses from minutes ago. This was dominant, claiming, threatening to rob you of the air in your lungs, like he wanted you to feed your own breath into him. He either forgot Ray was there, or he simply didn’t care.
By the time Bucky stopped kissing you and helped you into the car, you didn’t want to look either of them in the eye.
“I love you,” he whispered, kissing your temple and shutting the door as your heart flip flopped. God, he was insufferable. Confusing. Obsessed.
“You're certainly keeping him on his toes,” Ray said, not driving off until he made sure Bucky was in his vehicle, too.
“Someone has to,” you said, staring out the window. “I’m going with my friends tomorrow. I don't care if he makes you drag me back,” you said. Unless your life was in some sort of immediate danger, there was no reason for you to skip out on meeting up with the girls.
“So you’re aware, the suggestion of you moving your day out has nothing to do with wanting to control you. He’s upset because of the news I delivered and he wants to keep you close,” Ray explained, making you feel a little bad.
“So, that news was the reason why you both changed your tune, and you can't tell me what that news is,” you guessed. If you were in some sort of danger though, surely Bucky would’ve said so. “He told me about his mom. How I saved her.”
Silence filled the vehicle. “So, you know the truth,” he said after a minute, his voice neutral. “Are you okay?”
“I’m trying to be,” you answered carefully. You really were.
“That’s all you can do,” he said before adding under his breath, “No good deed goes unpunished.”
You snorted. “I guess I'm living breathing proof of that.” It was ironic how an act of kindness put you on this path. “And as much as I don't like to wish pain upon people, I hope Bucky's dad got whatever he deserved.”
Winnie, from the short time you knew her, was nothing but wonderful. Bucky said the dahlia painting in his office served as a reminder that he would never do to you what his dad did to his mom. He would never set you up to take the fall for anyone else, wouldn’t let someone else hurt you if he could help it. He would forever stand by you.
Was pushing him away doing you any good?
“He did,” Ray promised you. “And I say with complete sincerity that I hope today is very uneventful for you after the time you've had.”
Your nose scrunched as you laughed. “So do I, Ray. So do I.”
Tumblr media
Ray was kind enough to wait outside of your place as you showered and got ready for work, and didn't push you to talk more before he dropped you off at the shop. He was even kind enough to stop so you could get another cup of coffee. It helped improve your mood.
“There she is!” Kate smiled when you walked in. “Little miss not-so-single anymore.”
“Hey,” you giggled before you paused. “I didn't know you were working today. Did you switch shifts with someone?”
“God, the schedule’s all messed up. Mrs. Crandle called out for some business thing-”
“Business thing?” you asked, your brows pinched. She hardly ever took time off for things like vacation let alone a business thing without informing her staff.
“Yeah, I’m not really sure about all the details, but Lorraine ended up switching the whole schedule around. Mya’s coming in later, and I had to come in early, and your shift’s ending early.”
“What?” you frowned, checking the schedule to make sure. She was right. Your shift today was almost cut in half. “Would’ve been nice to get a text or something.”
The assistant manager wasn't bad to work with, but she could be a little forgetful with things like that. If Bucky hadn't just put money in your account, you may have been more upset over having half a shift cut. After the night and morning you had though, maybe an afternoon off wouldn't be so bad.
“She probably forgot since you were coming in at your normal time. Who knows?” Kate shrugged. “You know, I half expected Clark to be here waiting for you. Seemed really eager to see you yesterday.”
“Yeah, about that.” You looked toward the door, your body tense in anticipation even though he wasn't there. “Why did you tell him I was working today?”
“He’s kind of a regular, and I didn't really think about it. Then Mrs. Crandle brought up your boyfriend and…” Her face fell as she stopped cutting stems, which made you feel bad when she glanced your way. “Crap, I did something wrong, didn't I?”
You weren’t about to go into specifics regarding your personal situation. “I just don’t want customers to know when my shifts are unless I’m specifically working on an order or event for them, okay?” you said, hoping she understood that it was a general request.
Bucky was not getting in your head about your safety.
“Okay, as long as you aren’t mad,” she said. You gave her a smile to assure her that you were okay. “So, tell me about your new boyfriend.”
You filled her in as much as you could to make it sound believable, just like you had with Addison. Like her and Mrs. Crandle, Kate was excited for you. And they would never know the full truth.
As your shift went on, you were surprised you hadn't heard much from Bucky. It was for the best though. He was clearly dealing with something. As much as you didn't want to defend him in your mind, it had taken a lot for him to talk about his parents. To show you some of the damage done to his body. It was a vulnerable moment. Did you owe it to him to be vulnerable, too?
Wait, why did you owe him anything?
“Heading out?” Kate asked once your shift was up.
“Yeah,” you replied, glancing at your phone. You wondered if you should text Bucky before you decided against it. You'd let him know once you got to your place that you wouldn't need a ride. “Just call me if you need me to come back in.”
“Don’t worry about that. Enjoy the rest of your day!” she smiled.
Satisfied when you didn't see Bucky or Ray’s car waiting for you either, you decided to take a walk. It was a nice day, and you needed the fresh air. You hoped the weather was nice for the winery. You’d have to take photos to look back on what was going to be a fun time.
“Hey!” you heard someone shout after a few minutes of walking.
You stopped when you spotted Clark waving at you from the other side of the street. You barely waved back before he joined you. “Hey. What are you doing here?”
“Oh, I was just in the neighborhood,” he smiled, pushing his glasses up. “You done working already?”
“Yep,” you said, adjusting your bag. “And I should really-”
“Could we talk for a minute?” he asked.
You hesitated before nodding. “Sure,” you said, falling in step beside him.
“You know, I actually went to the shop to buy you flowers yesterday. I was going to buy you some roses,” he smiled.
Oh, God. “You were?”
“Yeah, but you weren’t there and… It doesn’t matter,” he smiled, shoving his hands in his pockets. “But I was thinking… Maybe we could grab a coffee sometime? My treat.”
The hopeful look in his eyes made a pit form in your stomach. “Clark, I’m seeing someone,” you said, his blue eyes dimming. Hadn’t Kate said that Mrs. Crandle brought up that you were in a relationship? “It’s fairly new, and I don’t want to mess things up,” you explained, though he wasn’t owed an explanation.
“I didn’t want to believe it,” he mumbled, kicking a small rock on the sidewalk. “Well, if it’s fairly new, I'm sure you can get coffee with other people.”
“Get coffee with people? Yes. But this kind of sounds like a date, and I don’t think that’s a good idea. I’m sorry,” you said. That would feel like cheating even if you didn't consider it a date, and you weren't that kind of person.
“Then we won’t call it a date,” he grinned.
Maybe you were feeling paranoid, but there was something weird behind his smile. “You just got out of a relationship, and I don’t want to send mixed signals by agreeing to go with you.”
His smile shook a bit. “It's just a coffee.”
“Is it?” The longer he stared, the more odd things felt, and you didn’t like it. “Listen, when you find someone else to give flowers to I’d be happy to pick some out for you.”
“I don't understand.” He laughed, but it sounded bitter. “You’ve always been nice to me.”
“Well, yeah. You’ve always been kind, too, when you come into the shop.”
“Too nice for someone like Bucky Barnes,” he muttered, his smile disappearing completely.
You gaped at him, almost faltering in your step. “What did you just say?”
“I said you’re too nice for someone like Bucky Barnes,” he said louder, his ire clear as day. “You think I don’t know about his reputation? He’s dangerous, and you’re too good for him.”
“How do you know I’m dating him?” you asked. And what did he know about his reputation?
He was quiet for a moment. “Mrs. Crandle said his name, and she has no idea what kind of man he is,” he said, making you feel uneasy. “I don’t think you do either.”
Oh, you knew plenty. “I appreciate your concern, really, but it’s nothing for you to worry about.”
“Well, I do. And I just don’t see why we can’t have one cup of coffee together,” he said, flashing a smile again. “It’ll be fun.”
“Because you know I’m seeing someone,” you said. He knew it before he bumped into you, but was still pushing for you to go with him. “And I also kind of make it a rule not to date customers,” you added, stopping when you got to your building. You walked faster than you thought.
“Well, rules should have exceptions, right? And if Bucky cared so much, where is he? Why wasn’t he waiting to pick you up and take you home?” he pressed, his eyes narrowing when you dug into your purse. “Maybe he doesn’t care about you as much as you think.”
Your next breath came out shaky. He hadn’t raised his voice at you, but you didn’t appreciate the third degree, or the implication that Bucky didn’t care. “Because he’s a busy man who sometimes works both days and nights. I don’t expect him to drop everything just to take me home.”
“If you took a chance on me, you’d never have to worry about things like that.”
You were starting to feel nauseous. “Well, sometimes I like the quiet after the bustle of the shop, so walking helps me decompress. And I can't take a chance on you when I’m seeing someone else.” Why was he being so pushy?
He took a small step closer. “You know, it’s dangerous to walk home alone.”
You took a step back, your keys between your fingers. “You’re right about that,” you agreed. The only reason you did so today was to take back a little control, which didn’t seem so smart now.
“I can start walking you home if you want,” he smiled, towering over you. Was he always so imposing? “When’s your next shift?”
You managed a smile in return, but it was extremely forced. “Clark, that’s really not necessary, but thank you for the offer. Enjoy the rest of your day.”
He gently took your arm when you turned toward the door, worry crawling up your spine when his hand tightened a fraction. You suddenly wish you had Bucky or Ray around. “I really don’t mind.”
“My boyfriend will mind, and I’m sure you can understand that. So it’s a no on the coffee and the walks home,” you said gently but firmly, pulling your arm back and rubbing the spot where Clark grabbed you. He wasn’t listening. It somehow felt worse than Bucky and you couldn’t pinpoint why. Was it because Clark tried to act nice? “It’s been a long few days, and I’m going to get some rest. Have a nice day, okay?”
His eyes narrowed again, but it was his chilling smile that unnerved you. “I’m sure I'll see you again soon. We’ll have to get that coffee,” he said, walking off before you could say another word.
You rushed into the building once he was out of sight, your hands shaking. It may have been from the confrontation or the combination of everything. Maybe Clark was just lonely and latched on a bit because you were nice. Hadn't Bucky done something similar?
But if Clark wanted to see you, why hadn't he just gone into the shop if he knew you were working?
Double checking your locks once you were in your apartment, you took a breath and stared at your phone once you sat down. You had to talk to Bucky. He answered within a few seconds of you calling.
“Kotyonok, is everything okay?” he asked, sounding both happy and concerned to hear from you.
“Yeah, why wouldn’t it be?” you asked, hearing a few other men speaking in the background.
“Because you’re calling me and not texting. And you sound a little off. What’s wrong?”
“Everything’s fine,” you lied. How did he recognize that you felt off? “I just wanted you to know that the assistant manager changed my shift, so I went home early.”
“Wait, you’re already home?” he asked. The background noise suddenly stopped. “Did you get a cab? Please tell me you didn’t walk back to your place.”
“…Fine, I won’t tell you that.”
Bucky let out an impressive string of curse words as you pulled the phone away from your ear. “That’s not safe. You know it isn’t,” he hissed, but you knew he wasn’t actually angry with you. Just the situation. And bumping into Clark today and Zemo the day before, he had a bit of a point. “You did that on purpose, didn’t you? Because I said it may not be a good idea to go out with your friends.”
You closed your eyes. He was not going to make you feel bad. “I just needed a breather, okay? And I made it home just fine.”
“But did you? How do I know someone didn’t follow you?” he asked. Clark’s face flashed in your mind when you stayed quiet. “…Kotyonok, did someone follow you?”
“No one followed me that I know of,” you said. You really didn't have any idea. “But… I did bump into Clark. He was in the neighborhood.”
“Clark? That guy from the shop who tried to give you flowers just happened to be in your neighborhood when I wasn't around?” he asked, fury seeping into his tone as you winced.
“I… I’m sure it was a coincidence,” you said. Placating him in this wasn’t going to work, but you had to try.
“That isn’t a fucking coincidence and we both know it. Did he say anything? Try anything?”
You shut your eyes. It would be like ripping off a band-aid. “He asked me to go get a cup of coffee with him, but I told him I was seeing someone.”
He chuckled humorlessly. “He asked you out?” he asked, making you shift in your seat. “Why the fuck do I not have a file on him yet?!” he snapped at someone in the background.
“I’m working on it, boss!” you heard someone promise. “Should I call-”
“No. I’ll call him myself,” Bucky growled.
Who was he talking about? “Bucky, it’s okay. The guy asked me out and I said no,” you assured him. You weren't going to go out with Clark. “I’m sure women throw themselves at you every day and you turn them down.”
“They don't ‘bump’ into me in my neighborhood. And had you told me you were leaving early, I could’ve made sure this guy didn’t go anywhere near you. I don’t even want him near your shop until I know more about him,” he said, his anger not lessening. “If he tries anything, I will tear him apart piece by fucking piece,” he promised you, the intensity in his tone making your throat go dry.
“That isn’t necessary,” you whispered.
He sighed. “Why would you deliberately put yourself in a spot like this just to prove a point? Be pissed at me, I can take that, but do not risk your safety,” he said, adding in a quieter voice, “I couldn’t take it if something happened to you.”
You bit the inside of your cheek, hating how guilty you felt, how worried he sounded on your behalf. “I’m sorry. I wasn’t trying to worry you,” you said. It was stubborn and dumb on your part, and now you were afraid that Bucky really would try to cancel your day out tomorrow. You couldn’t let him. “I’ll make it up to you, okay?”
“Make it up to me?” he asked. That seemed to get his attention. “How are you going to do that?”
“I’ll…” you began, steadying yourself. Natasha said you had power, and maybe you’d have to test that sooner than you expected. “Stay at your place tonight.”
You could hear a pin drop from the quiet. “You’ll stay the night?” he asked, his voice moving like lava through your veins.
“Yes,” you whispered, hammering the nail in the coffin.
“Give me two hours and I'll come get you,” he said, his voice strained, eager. “Be ready.”
“I will be.”
God, you hoped you knew what you were doing.

Oh, Clark. He's a problem now, isn't he? What do we think Ray told Bucky? And what's going to happen when you spend the night? Love and thanks for reading! ❤️

heyy how are you! i have this idea that wont leave my head, the reader is scared of love and runs away from it and keeps pushing anyone that tries anything away, but klaus does everything to prove to her that his intentions are pure, and after he does with a little while, she find out about him being a hybrid (maybe she gets really scared) and he has to grovel his way into her life
Mendable Inside Your Ribs
Tumblr media
Y/n, all her life, had reached for love and then felt her white-knuckled dying grip on it slip. Then suddenly, Klaus comes in her life looking like the light at the end of the tunnel – and maybe, just maybe, their monsters have more in common than they originally thought.
Warnings - Mentions of animalistic urges, monstrosity, blood, wounds and bruises but it's all in a metamorphic manner (well, except for the blood)
Word Count - 3.2k
Masterlist | please reblog the fic if you like it!
Finally, Anon, I'm posting your request! I'm so sorry I took so long, but I truly hope that you find the wait worth it once you're done reading this! I could've written this in an entirely different and simpler manner, but I was already half-way through it already written it in a poetic/metamorphic way, so I hope you guys still enjoy it for I am quite proud <3 Please do tell me if you do!
Tumblr media
Y/n, all her life, had reached for love and then felt her white-knuckled dying grip on it slip. So many times had it happened that now she was found sat with her hair tangled, dried blood and dirt on her face and inside her nails with crooked teeth, clawing at her own skin sitting in a corner, rocking herself back and forth to comfort herself as she saw love creeping towards her with a smile so sinister that it could make shivers run down the devil’s spine.
From her parents shaming her for wanting something so simple as love, to her romantic partners who’d always stumble a couple steps back upon realising just how hungry she was for love – how animalistic she could get just for an ounce of it.
All of it turned her into a person as cold as a tombstone standing over a dead person’s grave, unfeeling and unmoving.
But when she would feel, it felt like her own heart was pushing her head under the water, holding her in there until she had only one more breath left in her. It made her want to snarl and to hiss, to bite and to claw at the person who made her heart leap out of her chest.
Which would then make her turn and run the other way as fast as her feet could carry her, back to the corner where she belonged. Sometimes she would raise her head and look at the walls inside of her, reading the numbers she had madly tally-marked on them to keep track of just how many days she had kept herself chained there. And somewhere along the passing time, she’d begun defeatedly losing count.
Yet as she sat in that very corner and raised her head this time, she saw something bright. Almost like a light at the end of the tunnel. So she’d gotten forward on her hands and moved on her knees, curiosity pulling her forward until she reached the border which she’d have to cross to get to the other side.
And that’s when she saw him standing there – Klaus Mikaelson. Smiling down upon her like she was the cutest lamb he’d ever come across, instead of falling backwards because he actually saw the love-hungry animal that she was.
So, she had taken it upon herself to back off, and ran away from him. But horror crept over her and held her tight when she saw that he had followed her back inside, back to her corner where she resided.
“Love,” she heard him whisper as he brought his open hands in front of him, wanting her to place her own calloused ones in them and come with him.
But she never did, always turning away with a growl so that he’d leave. But every time she’d look his way to check if he’d finally left, she’d find him still standing there, with that same smile and those same open arms.
“Go away, Klaus,” she said coldly, looking away so her dead eyes wouldn’t have to witness hurt flash through his starry eyes.
He wanted nothing more than for her to see herself the way he saw her. Wanted for her to know that he was the one who’s undeserving of her love, actually. He was the animal here, not her.
But she profusely denied all of his pleas and begs, holding herself strictly uptight so that she wouldn’t fall into pieces upon him and crush him under the weight of all her grief, anger and tragedy.
He just couldn't seem to get through to her, no matter how hard he tried. So he just decided to remain persistent, and show her how truly pure his intentions are via small acts. Like buying her gifts that he knew would matter to her, such as those small plants that never grow, or random postcards that he knew she put up on her walls, or books that he’d annotated for her to get her to take a glimpse into the way he saw her.
But sometimes, those acts got rather intimate. Like that time he brushed her hair for her for a week long when she had broken her wrist, or that night when he took her feet in his lap to massage them gently after she’d given her best performance on stage. Hell he’d even gone as far as to cook for her on especially hard nights so that he could feed her his love.
And maybe he was just growing delusional now, but he was beginning to feel like she was taking down her walls around him brick by brick. She no longer glared at him with those ice cold eyes when he would enter into a close proximity to her, nor did she sneer at him to go away.
Instead, he saw her eyes grow a little wider when he’d enter the same room as her, the dead stare tucking itself away for other people as some life took a dive in her eyes. And he heard a lullaby in her voice when she’d greet him back, her body turned towards him and eyes on him to give him all of her attention.
That’s how he knew that he had brought her away from that corner and back to the very border, again. And he also knew that he now had to tread carefully so that she wouldn’t go back, tumbling away from him.
And Klaus didn’t know if the Salvatore brothers telling her all about the supernatural world, about who The Klaus Mikaelson was, was his fault or not.
But what he did blame himself for, was for lowering his guard when he’d brought her just one step away from crossing the border and loosened his grip on her because the moment she was told about his past, not only did she go fumbling back but she also left crescent moons dug in his shoulders from when she’d been shaking him, sobbing loudly and crying out for him to tell her that all of it wasn’t true.
But Klaus couldn’t lie to her, so he’d stood frozen with tears spilling from his eyes as she ran back to her corner, tally-marking another day after so long that her eyes had taken a moment to adjust to the darkness that surrounded her again, this time, more like an evilly laughing capturer instead of holding her in it’s arms like a pitiful mother.
Y/n awoke this morning with her eyes puffed up, it happened every time she went to sleep exhausted out of her mind. And as the flashes of last night began reeling through her mind again, her eyes grew moist and her vision grew blurry while she climbed down the stairs to go into the kitchen.
Grabbing a glass of water she chugged it down, leaning over the sink and mumbling to herself that everything was fine, that she was fine. Her eyes remained shut but tears slipped out regardless, sniffling sounds echoing through her house as she tried not to retain any of the information that had been dumped on her.
“He’s a …hybrid,” Stefan had said, looking at her through his lashes like he was talking to a child about how tooth fairies aren’t real.
“And what’s that?” She asked, a feeling in her gut telling her that it was, in no way, a sweet creature.
“He’s half vampire, and half werewolf,” Damon finished saying behind her.
Breath was knocked out of her lungs at that. She’d always had her suspicions about some certain people surrounding her, like Stefan and Damon themselves, but never once had she felt anything remotely scary when Klaus would stand in front of her.
Perhaps it was because of his big starry eyes, and those unruly blonde curls that he kept trimmed for some reason. Or those dimples that would shy away from her gaze and that mouth which would always stretch into a smile upon her sight. Or, those hands that held her so gingerly, and those feet that held the weight of her body as he carried her home.
And maybe it was the fact that he’d never once told her about this himself, that hurt the worse. He had lied to her, or kept the truth from her, dare she say to defend his honour. But it felt like a punch square in the chest when she learned about the blood that stained his hands, his clothes, his face and his mouth.
Despite that horrifying revelation, she had run straight to his home and shouted at him to come outside. And the moment he had, she was pushing and shoving at him, putting her hands on his shoulders and shaking him, crying – “tell me they are lying! Tell me that you aren’t what they say you are, that you have no blood on your hands!”
“Tell me!” She had broken down, resting her head on his chest as she let out the sobs.
“Tell me this wasn’t your intention!” She shook him again and Klaus had opened his mouth to agree with her, but she had fallen to her knees then, looking up at him with tears staining her cheeks and blood swirling in her eyes.
“Please don’t take me home,” she had told him despite the hot tears streaming down her face and fog settling in her mind. “I can never go home now,” she whispered, scared.
Home was something that was supposed to be a constant in one's life, that one returned to every single day. And there hadn’t been anything like that for her until Klaus. And now that the shelter of his frame had been uprooted and thrown away, cold rain scraped at her skin all over again as she scrambled around to find her corner to go back to.
She didn’t want that corner to be her home but time and time again, it was proven to her that it was – whether she liked that or not.
Taking deep breaths to gather herself, Y/n went back up to her room to get ready for the day – knowing that all she was going to do was read and write and water her dying plants and maybe bake some biscuits that she was never going to get Klaus to taste now.
And just as she came back to make her first cup of tea, she heard a hissing sound and turned to see a paper that had been folded into half. It had been slipped in through the crack underneath the door.
She picked it up and opened it, immediately recognising Klaus’ handwriting.
Y/n,
I know I’ve wounded you deeply by keeping who I truly am from you. But spending so much time with you, I’d somehow mistaken myself to be just the Klaus Mikaelson that you saw. I'm the one who’s wrong at that part, forgive me for it. I never meant to lie to you, perhaps, I was waiting for the right time. But it’s never the right time, is it? I’ve learned that now.
And while I’m sure the brothers told you enough, I’d still like to introduce myself to you all over again. This time, by laying all my defences down. I should’ve said it then and there, but something came over me and I couldn’t form words. But I hope you’d believe me when I tell you that hurting you was not my intention – it’s something far far away from what I truly do intend.
My family is hosting a traditional ball tonight. Please save this sick lover of yours a dance. And, you need not fret for I have brought you a dress, come outside?
Yours truly,
Klaus
A deep weight rested itself on top of Y/n’s chest as she slowly walked towards her door, and opened it. She’d been expecting to see Klaus, but instead there was a box on her porch with a silk bow resting on top of it. She sat down and brought it to her lap, opening it to reveal a blue dress, folded neatly inside the box.
She knew she was going – there was no doubt about that. But what did gnaw at her, was the chance of what would happen when she’d get there. She wanted to accept the feeling that told her he wouldn't hurt her. And yet, a tremor coursed through her body as she sat and sipped on her tea, waiting for the evening to roll around.
She wanted for him to unleash himself and show her who he truly is, so that she can love him for him. She didn’t want to fall in love with just his bruised upper skin – no. She wanted to get to know him, inside and out. Wanted to know what his guts found intimidating and what his soul found peaceful.
But if he wasn’t going to show her that, then nothing could ever make her clean herself up and rid herself of all the wounds that had been inflicted upon her, so that she doesn’t bleed on him from the cut that he didn’t inflict. She had a feelling that maybe, just maybe – there monsters had more in common than they thought they had.
There must be a reason behind the blood tainting his skin, perhaps, it was thrust upon him for all she knew! Maybe he didn’t want to be the monster that he had been turned into.
And if that’s true, Y/n wondered if she would still want to unravel him if it turned out that he was just a monster that had no other driving force apart from some personal fun.
So she dressed herself up for the night. Prepared to listen to him and ask him questions if he wouldn’t have answered them already in his explanation.
Entering the mansion that she always ran far away from, Y/n took a huge breath before wandering her eyes around to search for the one and only. And It didn’t take long before their eyes locked, with him already looking at her with rather guilty eyes and a relieved smile for she had shown up.
Walking to her, Klaus took in a shaky breath as he fixed his suite. He was nervous, hell, scared even. Honestly, terrified that tonight might be the final time he would see her and the final memory he’d have of her would be of her sprinting away from him for she couldn’t bear the sight of the ugly monster he had ended up growing into.
“You came,” Klaus smiled, looking at her with those same starry eyes except tonight they were shining because of the sheen layer of tears glossing them up.
“You asked me to,” she shrugged faintly, her mouth cold to sight but her eyes were big and almost smiling up at him.
With her hand still in his’ from when he had bent down to kiss the back of it, Klaus walked her over to the vacant balcony – nothing to witness the tragedy but the sky that had itself gotten dressed in its best constellations and ornament, the moon.
Klaus wanted to believe his heart when it told him that she would listen to him and try to love him, but his head’s juxtaposition was not gentle. It prepared him for the worst, reminding him of how no one had ever loved him before, and no one would now. For all that was true, he had only gotten worse over time.
“To hurt you, was never my intention,” he whispered, his big eyes looking into hers.
“It is true that I am a Hybrid – a vampire and a werewolf. It is also true that I’m covered in blood from head to toe, from my bones to my skin, I am drenched in it.”
His legs were growing jittery and breathing was becoming harder to do than it should be. But his hold on her hand only tightened, tears collecting on his bottom lash line.
“It is true that I am a monster. One with a heart that doesn’t beat and a soul that feasts upon the love it never gets,” with his free hand, Klaus wiped the tear as it slipped down the slope of his cheek.
She only stood still in front of him, urging him with her eyes to go on. Her own breathing ragged as she began seeing him and listening to him
“But I need you to know, before you leave tonight,” his voice shook as he stole his eyes from hers for a second to gain back his courage, as all of it had been spent the moment he mentioned her inevitable departure. “That I would never hurt you, I never can, hurt you,” he assured her, searching her eyes for anything.
“I truly am in love with you. And I will take forever to show you that if that’s what you’ll ask of me,” bringing her hand to his chest, he rested it there. “I want you to lay yourself bare in front of me so that I can show you that even your ugliest is loved by me,” he whispered.
“Say something, please,” he almost cried, his voice cracked, not having anticipated her departure to come so soon.
“I –,” Y/n began, her voice hoarse due to not having used it for so long. “I think I can love you, Klaus,” she uttered, looking away from his eyes, fearing that he was going to deny her heart upon realising just how ugly and bruised and beaten it is.
Upon the realisation that sure, her insides are a million colours – but they are all shades of blue.
And when the deafening silence got too much for her to bear, she turned away from him to make a run back home.
But her hand felt to have gotten caught in something and she was pulled right back, into a hard and vulnerable chest as her mouth felt something soft press itself hardly against it.
Klaus’ mouth.
His mouth was on hers and one of his hands was curled against the back of her neck while the other cradled her face with force.
Everything inside of her erupted into flames as she tilted her face to better mould it against his’, and fisted the curls on the nape of his neck, pushing him further into her while bending her back to accept the force.
“Say it again,” he breathed, breaking the kiss and resting his forehead on hers, his tears slipping from his eyes and falling onto her cheeks.
“I think,” she exhaled sharply, trying to catch her breath while her eyes remained stuck on his mouth. “I think I can love you,” she confessed again, instantly moving her lips in sync with his’ as he kissed her desperately, finally.
“My heart – it is shabby and broken but it’s already yours,” she choked out. “And it’s only mendable inside your ribs,” her shoulders shook as she cried, now fisting the shirt of his collar to keep him close to her.
“My love, your heart – it, it is safe with me,” he breathed with her, trying to calm his racing heart down. “And my heart will forever beat on your command,” sniffling, he tucked her hair behind her ear, gently lifting her face to seal his confession by breathing in her breath and letting her take away his’ as he pressed his mouth against hers, once again.

The sun hung high over the bustling Formula 1 paddock, casting a warm glow against the vibrant team banners fluttering in the light breeze.
The aroma of fresh coffee and fuel mixed in the air, tickling your senses as you navigated through the crowd, Chase nestled contentedly in your arms.
Lando walked closely beside you, his signature grin plastered on his face, a look of particular joy you loved to see.
“Are you ready for this?” he asked, glancing down at Chase, who was blissfully oblivious to the world around him, his tiny paws resting lightly against your chest.
“Absolutely!” you replied, adjusting the fluffy cream-colored fur of your little dog. “I mean, if the internet exploded over how cute he is, I can't wait to show him off in person again,”
Lando chuckled, his laughter filling your heart with warmth. “I still can’t believe how many fans have taken an interest in Chase. I mean, he’s adorable, but it’s not like he’s driving a car,”
You shared an amused glance. “True, but I think we both know he steals the show everywhere we take him. With those big eyes? He’s irresistible.”
As you made your way towards the McLaren hospitality area, the familiar sight of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc caught your eye.
To your surprise, both drivers were squatting beside their own dogs—Lewis with Roscoe, a distinguished-looking bulldog, and Charles with Leo, a spirited miniature longhaired dachshund. It was a rare sight to catch them both not in race mode, but at play.
“Hey, you two!” you called out, waving your free hand. “Look who we've brought along!”
“Oh wow, it’s Chase!” Lewis exclaimed, his eyes lighting up as he stood up with Roscoe. The bulldog ambled over with a curious snort, eyes fixated on Chase.
“Is that our little Instagram star?” Charles teased, his accent thick with amusement as he crouched down, already reaching out towards Chase. “I’ve seen more of him than myself lately.”
“Guilty as charged!” you laughed, beaming with pride. “And this little guy is ready for his paddock debut for real.”
Lando stretched out his arm and playfully nudged you. “But first,” he leaned in conspiratorially, “let's see if these two dogs can keep up with the fastest little dog in the paddock.”
You raised an eyebrow at Lando. “Fastest? You realize he’s like, what? Two pounds?”
“Let’s not underestimate Chase. He’s a champion at heart!” Lando shot back, petting Chase’s head lovingly. “Right, buddy?”
Before you could respond, Leo dashed forward, tail wagging enthusiastically, and nudged Chase’s paw.
Chase blinked up at the Dachshund, seemingly unsure at first but then quickly warming up to the new canine friend. You felt a smile spread across your face; this would be fun.
“Looks like they’re already sizing each other up,” you said to Lando, who watched proudly.
Lewis rose, laughing. “I think all we need now is a proper doggy playdate. What do you say for a few minutes?”
“Absolutely,” you affirmed. “This could be a whole new Instagram series for me.”
The three of you found a patch of soft grass a short walk from the bustling hospitality area. The sun-kissed spot gave the dogs plenty of space to romp while the energy of the paddock buzzed pleasantly in the background.
As the dogs began to play—Chase scampering after Leo, who darted with boundless energy and charm—you leaned into Lando, who slung an arm around your shoulders. “You know, I didn’t expect today to turn out like this. It’s kind of nice, isn’t it?” he murmured, his eyes glinting with affection.
“It really is,” you said softly, wanting to freeze this moment in time.
You looked over at the three furry friends, enjoying their newfound friendship, and you couldn’t help but laugh as Chase surprised everyone by catching up to Leo and tugging playfully at his tail.
“As long as they don’t dig up the paddock or cause chaos,” Lando added, chuckling.
“Who would have thought you’d become a dog dad this quickly?” you teased, nudging him with your elbow.
Lando feigned distress. “Me? It’s all your fault! My life used to involve fast cars and loud engines, and now it includes this little ball of fluff demanding cuddles.”
“Looks like you’ve traded one love for another,” you smiled, leaning in to steal a kiss.
The soft brush of his lips sent a tiny thrill through you that never seemed to fade no matter how many times you shared these moments.
You watched as Roscoe plopped down beside Chase, who was busy barking up a storm.
“Is Chase bringing out the playful side of Roscoe?” you quipped, noticing the bulldog’s effortless charm as he nudged the tiny dog with his nose.
Lewis approached with a proud grin. “I think he is. I’ve never seen Roscoe this active since… well, forever, to be honest. We might be onto something with these doggy meet-ups.”
Charles laughed, joining in their amusement. “Next season, we might need to think about forming a dog team!”
With the race weekend in full swing, you felt a sense of peace that was rarely achieved in the high-speed world that encapsulated your lives.
The dogs chased each other in wide arcs, occasionally stopping to check in with their humans, tails wagging wildly. It was a cookie-cutter version of bliss—a world away from fast cars and flashing cameras, grounded in pure, uncomplicated affection.
As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden hue across the paddock, you and Lando settled onto the grass, Chase nestled comfortably between you.
“Can you believe they’re all sleepier than we are?” Lando mused, watching the dog pile settle down in a heap of fur.
“I can’t. It’s like they burned off all their energy in five minutes,” you laughed.
A thought crossed your mind, and you turned to Lando, feeling slightly more serious. “What if we brought Chase to more races with us? He could be a mascot of sorts.”
“I love that idea!” Lando grinned back at you, his eyes sparkling. “I can already see the team merch: Chase-themed caps or something. It’s perfect.”
As laughter filled the air around you, you realized that amidst the chaotic world of Formula 1, filled with roaring engines and high stakes, it was these quiet moments, shared with Lando and Chase, that truly defined your happiness.
You rested your head against his shoulder, knowing deep down that no matter where this journey took you, together, you’d always find the joy in life—the little moments that felt like magic.
★・・・・・・★ ★・・・・・・★ ★・・・・・・★
You sink back into the soft layers of your bed, the room dimly lit by the soft glow of a bedside lamp.
The world outside is alive with the gentle trill of crickets, but here, in your sanctuary, the only sounds are the steady heartbeat of Lando beside you and the slight rustle of sheets as he shifts to get more comfortable.
You take a moment to relish this perfect calm after the day’s chaos, the two of you finally alone together after putting Chase to bed in the living room.
You can’t help but look over at Lando, his messy hair fanning out on the pillow like a halo, his lips slightly parted in that relaxed way that makes your heart flutter.
He glances up at you, his hazel eyes sparkling with mischief.
“So, what should we do now that we have time?” you tease, half sitting on top of him, enjoying the playful tension in the air.
He raises an eyebrow, a grin breaking across his face as he fights to suppress a chuckle.
“Hmm, choices, choices,” he says, pretending to ponder deeply. “Should we play a game? Or maybe I could serenade you with my terrible singing?”
His voice dips into a mock dramatic tone that sends a wave of laughter bubbling up your throat.
“Terrible singing sounds perfect,” you reply, grinning as you mockingly glare at him. “I mean, who wouldn’t want to hear your off-key renditions of popular songs?”
“Hey, at least I’m better than the last guy who tried,” he shoots back, pulling you closer to him. “But, fine. You might be the perfect audience for my next hit single then.”
As he leans in, you stroke your fingers through his hair, enjoying the moment. It’s easy to forget about everything else with him here.
The chaos of your day fades, leaving only the warmth of his body and the sparkle of his laughter.
You leaned down closer to brush your lips against his. The kiss tasted like sweetness and laughter—soft and familiar. Just as you were about to pull back, Lando deepened the kiss, his free hand finding its way to your waist.
You melted against him, feeling the electricity coursing through your entire body. “If we keep this up, you might end up forgetting your song.” you murmured against his lips, smiling playfully.
But just as you find a comfortable rhythm, the door creaks open slowly, and you turn your head just in time to see Chase, your little dog, making his grand re-entry.
His tiny body clambers up the stairs with determination, climbing onto the bed with gusto. His tail wags furiously as he reaches you, giving you both a salute of excitement and wanting attention.
Lando bursts out laughing, his beautiful joy filling the room.
“Look who decided to join! Chase! You’ve missed all the fun!” Lando exclaims, rolling onto his back and reaching out for the playful pup.
“Seriously? I thought we put him to bed!” you giggle, scratching Chase behind his ears as he wriggles happily between you and Lando.
“He’s a tiny troublemaker,” Lando laughs, showering the little dog with love as he lifts him into the air. “Just like his human.”
You roll your eyes playfully. “I’m not a troublemaker!” you retort dramatically.
Chase, ever the attention-seeker, wiggles in Lando’s hands, finally settling on your lap, looking up at you with big, innocent eyes. You can’t help but melt.
“Okay, but really, what are we going to do?” you ask again, this time scratching behind the little dog’s ears while seeking Lando’s gaze.
“How about this: let’s have a little movie night right here?” Lando suggests, nodding towards the television tucked in the corner of the room. “But we’ll need snacks, and I have a secret stash of popcorn hidden under the bed.”
You raise an eyebrow, feigning skepticism. “A secret stash? Why wouldn’t you share this with me sooner?”
“It’s a special treasure reserved for awesome moments,” Lando says with a wink, and you can’t resist the charming way he always manages to make the mundane feel special.
“Alright, you win. Movie night it is!” you chirp. “But you better make that popcorn perfect, or…”
“Or what? I’ll have to serenade you?” he interjects with wink, causing a giggle to erupt from you both.
“You’d better run and get it, then!” you tease as you flail your arms dramatically, punctuating your point.
You watch as Lando slides off the bed, throwing on a T-shirt, not even bothering to get fully dressed before darting to the kitchen.
While he’s gone, you indulge Chase with a few more scratches and gentle rubs, finding solace in the way the small dog relaxes into your touch.
You love this moment, the cozy intimacy, and the way it feels like your little family is all together in this sanctuary of warmth.
Lando returns with a bowl of popcorn, grinning ear to ear like he’s just won the championship. “Tada! The prize for best boyfriend,” he announces, dramatically presenting the bowl to you.
“Now that is a worthy prize!” you laugh, taking a handful while he settles next to you, pulling both you and Chase into his arms.
You press play on the remote, the screen illuminating the dim room with the warm colors of the movie. As the opening credits roll, you lean back against Lando, enjoying his presence.
Chase shifts between you two, finding a cozy spot against your legs.
For a moment, the world outside feels far away, and it’s just the three of you. The movie is just background noise as you sink into each other’s company, laughing together, whispering jokes, and stealing kisses in between popcorn munching.
“This is perfect,” you whisper after a particularly funny scene, and Lando turns to look at you, his expression softening.
“It really is. Just us, our little family,” he replies, his voice low as he brushes a stray hair behind your ear. He shifts slightly, bringing you even closer, his warmth wrapping around you like a cozy blanket.
“And somehow, with Chase here, it’s even better,” you add playfully, watching as Chase squirms to get more comfortable.
“True,” Lando agrees, laughing softly. “He’s the best addition we could’ve asked for.”
The night passes in a blur of laughter, cuddles, and shared popcorn, making memories that cling to you like the warmth of Lando's embrace.
As the credits roll on the final movie, you find yourself feeling grateful for this moment, for the peaceful rhythm of his heartbeat next to yours, and the constant presence of Chase, who has curled up in a contented ball at your feet.
“Can we do this again tomorrow?” you ask playfully.
“Absolutely,” Lando says with a smile, kissing your forehead before stretching luxuriously. “Every day if that’s what you want.”
With that, you settle deeper into his embrace, feeling the warmth of love wrap around you, content in the knowledge that these quiet nights are the foundation of a happiness you hope will last a lifetime.
★・・・・・・★ ★・・・・・・★ ★・・・・・・★
You quietly opened the front door, careful not to make a sound that might wake your boyfriend, Lando, or your dog, Chase.
The remnants of a night filled with laughter and dancing still tingled in your veins, igniting a rush of warmth as you stepped inside the dimly lit apartment.
Your senses were slightly dulled, having indulged a little too freely in celebratory shots and frosty cocktails, but the sight of your sanctuary—a place infused with memories of lazy afternoons and cozy movie nights—brought a smile to your slightly wobbly lips.
You tiptoed through the narrow hall, the familiar scent of sandalwood and vanilla wafting through the air, welcoming you home. As you reached the bedroom door, you pushed it open ever so gently and peeked inside.
A warm glow from the bedside lamp illuminated the room just enough for you to catch the tender scene: Lando, with his tousled hair sprawled across the pillow, and Chase, curled up against him, both seemingly serene and lost in a peaceful slumber.
You couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle at the endearing sight.
Lando had always been a snuggly sleeper, and when paired with Chase—who had an affinity for cuddling—it was a charming combination that made your heart swell with affection.
You took a moment to soak in the warmth of the image before deciding to give yourself a refreshing moment, slipping out of your party attire and into the bathroom for a quick shower.
Once the steamy spray enveloped you, you let the impulses of the night wash away. The coolness of the bathroom contrasted with the warmth of the shower, and as the hot water cascaded over you, it washed away the heaviness of the night.
You hummed softly to yourself, chasing away the fleeting thoughts of wild dance moves and flirty conversations, focusing instead on the love waiting for you out there.
After a few minutes, you emerged from the bathroom, wrapped in a soft towel, the cool air of the bedroom brushing against your damp skin.
You glanced toward the bed and saw Chase stirring. He stretched slightly before lifting his head, his white fur glistening in the low light.
It was moments like these that made you realise just how precious this little family was to you.
And then, without warning, Chase unfurled himself from his cozy position and sprang from Lando's grip like a spring on a watch, bounding toward you with all the enthusiasm and sincerity only a dog could possess.
"Chase! Hey buddy!" you exclaimed, instinctively kneeling down and opening your arms wide.
He galloped into your embrace, nuzzling his nose against you as you laughed softly, your heart swelling with affection.
“I missed you!” you told him, scratching behind his ears, his tail wagging furiously. The rush of love you felt was intoxicating, and for a moment, all thoughts of your night out melted away into nothingness.
As you reveled in the sweet reunion with Chase, Lando stirred, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. The moment he caught sight of you kneeling on the floor with Chase beside you, a sleepy grin broke out on his face.
“Looks like someone was waiting for you,” he mumbled, his voice low and gravelly from sleep.
You smiled up at him, a little bashful. “I was just trying to sneak in and not wake you two,” you replied, feeling a subtle warmth creep over your cheeks. “But I guess Chase had other plans!”
“Yeah, he always does,” Lando chuckled, stretching and propping himself up on one elbow. “You’re home later than I expected. Did you have a good time?”
“Yeah, it was great! Just some dancing and drinks with the gang. But honestly, I couldn’t stop thinking about you guys. I was so excited to come home.” You paused, your heart racing a little as you spoke the words.
Deep inside, you knew there was something incredibly comforting about being home—not just in the apartment, but in the company of Lando and Chase.
Lando’s expression softened, and he sat up fully, running a hand through his messy hair. “I’m glad. I was worried you might not come back for a while,” he teased, winking playfully. “I wasn’t sure how long I could have kept Chase entertained!”
You giggled, rising to your feet, both Chase and Lando now fully awake and alert.
“I can’t believe how snuggly you both look together. I wish I had a camera—cute overload!” Your heart fluttered at the idea that even in sleep, your little family brought so much joy.
“Speaking of,” Lando began, scooting over on the bed and gesturing for you to join him. “Come sit with us.”
You quickly hopped onto the bed, crawling between the sheets and cuddling up against Lando's warm side, with Chase settling in at your feet.
Lando wrapped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. “You smell like fun,” he said, a teasing smile gracing his lips.
“Is that a compliment?” you retorted, nudging his shoulder playfully.
“Absolutely. Fun looks good on you.” Lando leaned down and pressed a soft kiss atop your head, sending a ripple of warmth through you.
“But I have to admit, I’m glad you’re home. It’s always better when we’re together.”
You nestled against him, resting your head on his chest as you felt the beat of his heart. “I feel the same way. It’s like I float through the night, but my anchor is always back here with you and Chase.”
Chase, perhaps sensing the tender moment between you, looked up with his big brown eyes and tilted his head, as though he were in on the secret.
You couldn’t resist giving him a scratch behind the ears, which only elicited a contented sigh from him.
"Aren't you the cutest little anchor?" you whispered playfully.
“That you are, buddy,” Lando said, reaching down to ruffle Chase’s fur. The dog responded with a delighted huff, wriggling his body in appreciation.
The three of you were a perfect triangle of comfort, an unwavering circle of love in a bustling world. Evenings like this were rare and precious—moments you cherished.
“So, what did you get up to today?” you asked, breaking the comfortable silence. Your voice was curious, genuine interest lighting up your eyes that always captivated him.
Lando chuckled, turning to face you. “Oh, you know, the usual—work, a hundred walks and taking Chase to pee outside. I think he might be getting it.”
Chase, as if on cue, laid his head on Lando’s knee, letting out a sigh of contentment.
“Well, at least someone is satisfied with my work today,” Lando said, scritching Chase behind the ears, causing the dog to squint in pleasure.
“You’ve always had that effect on him,” you said, placing your hand over Lando’s for a brief moment, a simple gesture that spoke louder than words.
“I think he might like me more than you,” Lando teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
You raised an eyebrow, feigning offense. “Oh really? Is that so? Right in front of me, too? Chase!” You turned to the dog dramatically. “How could you betray your own best friend like this?”
Chase merely wagged his tail, blissfully unaware of the banter as if to say, “Sorry, not sorry,” before burying his face deeper into Lando’s lap.
Lando laughed. “I guess I just have the magic touch. It must be all those treats I give him.”
“Magic touch or bribes? You’re not fooling anyone, Lando.” You shook your head, unable to keep a straight face.
After a moment, the mood shifted a little. “We should go to sleep now, we’re meeting my parents tomorrow, remember?” you said, glancing at the clock on the wall.
It was getting late, and the thought of the impending family gathering made your stomach flutter with nerves.
Lando nodded, but there was a hint of hesitation in his voice. “I know. I just... I want everything to go well. What if they don’t like me?”
“They’ll love you,” you assured him, rubbing your thumb along the back of his hand soothingly. “Just be yourself. You know how to charm a crowd, especially with your goofy jokes.”
“Right, my jokes,” he said, chuckling and shaking his head. “I think I’ll save the ‘dad jokes’ for later. Maybe I should just stick to polite conversation.”
A soft laugh escaped you. “Polite conversation could go far, or it could bore them to tears. They’re going to want to see the real you—silly, charming, and maybe a little awkward.”
“Awkward? Me? Never.” Lando feigned shock, placing a hand on his chest dramatically. “I’m the epitome of cool.”
“Sure you are.” You smiled knowingly. “But I promise you, they will appreciate your quirks more than you think. They just want to get to know the guy their daughter is dating.”
Lando sat up a little straighter, his posture shifting into something more serious. “But what if they have questions? What if they think I’m not good enough for you?”
“Lando, stop worrying.” You leaned in closer, taking both of his hands in yours. “They’re not expecting anyone perfect, just someone who makes me happy. And spoiler alert: you do.”
He smiled, the tension crumbling between you like a sandcastle washed away by the tide. “Thank you. I guess I just want to make a good impression on them. You mean a lot to me.”
“And you mean a lot to me,” you replied softly. “The sooner you realize that, the easier this will be.”
With a deep breath, he nodded, clearly trying to shake off his nerves. “Okay then. What’s the plan for tomorrow?”
“Breakfast at the diner down the road, then to their house for coffee. We’ll take it easy,” you said, pulling your legs up onto Lando's to move closer, snuggling deeper against him.
“Sounds good—unless they try to feed us the mystery casserole,” Lando joked. “Then we might have a problem.”
You laughed. “I can’t promise they’ll have their best dish on that day, but I’ll bring backup snacks, just in case.”
“As long as you’re by my side, I can handle anything.” He leaned closer, his forehead resting against yours.
The warmth of his breath mingled with yours, a shared moment that felt like a promise to tackle whatever came your way.
Chase stirred slightly and stretched, yawning wide as if sensing the change in atmosphere before settling back into a comfortable position.
“I think he approves of the plan,” you whispered, glancing down at the sleepy dog, who seemed perfectly content in his little world.
Lando smiled, squeezing your hands gently. “I’m ready, then. Let’s get some sleep. Tomorrow’s going to be great.”
“Definitely,” you said, feeling the drowsiness creeping in. Both of you started to settle in as the soft evening light faded into nighttime.
As you both surrendered to sleep, you felt grateful for this little family you had created together, intertwined through laughter, love, and even the occasional awkward moment.
Tomorrow would come with its challenges, but with Lando by your side, you knew it would all be worthwhile. . . .
★・・・・・・★ ★・・・・・・★ ★・・・・・・★
You stood in the kitchen, a whirlwind of activity, as the smell of vanilla cake filled the air.
The clock ticked loudly in the background, each tick a reminder of the approaching moment when you would yell, “Surprise!” at your boyfriend Lando. Today's special occasion wasn't just any day; it was his birthday, a day you had been secretly planning for weeks.
You glanced towards the living room where you had set up decorations—streamers trailing down from the ceiling, colorful balloons bobbing in a corner, and a plethora of gifts waiting to be opened.
Family, friends, and their dogs had all pitched in. You couldn't wait to see Lando's face when he walked through the door; the surprise was your gift to him.
Chase, your fluffy golden retriever, sat obediently at your feet, his big brown eyes reflecting your excitement.
Normally, Chase was skittish around crowds, but you had coaxed him into staying close to you tonight.
“Just a little longer, buddy,” you whispered, reaching down to scratch behind his ears. “You’ll love seeing Daddy happy.”
The door swung open, and in walked Lando, his casual charm lighting up the room. You felt your heart flutter as you quickly gestured for everyone to hide.
The guests stilled their chatter, and you barely contained your excitement.
“Lando! You’re home!” you shouted, breaking the silence as he stepped inside, catching him off-guard. His brows furrowed in confusion before slowly transforming into realization.
“What is all this?” Lando’s voice was a mix of surprise and delight as his eyes roamed over the decorations, resting finally on the cake adorned with candles burning bright.
“Happy birthday, Lando!” you and the rest of the guests cheered, stepping out of your hiding spots with wide smiles.
Lando's face lit up brighter than the candles on the cake. “Wow, you did all this for me?” he asked, his voice warm. You could see the corners of his mouth twitch with disbelief.
“Of course! You didn’t think I’d let your birthday slip by without a party, did you?” you teased, walking over to him. He wrapped his arms around you in a tight embrace, lifting you slightly off the ground.
“You’re incredible,” he murmured into your hair, warmth radiating from his chest. You could almost forget the anxiety that had plagued you in the days leading up to this; seeing him smile made it all worth it.
After he greeted everyone, the cake was brought out, and the group gathered around him to sing “Happy Birthday.” You led the cacophony with exaggerated enthusiasm.
Lando chuckled, his face a perfect blend of bashfulness and joy as he blew out the candles, the wish dancing on his lips as he stole a fast glance at you.
As the cake was sliced and laughter filled the air, Chase had managed to find a cozy spot on your lap, grateful for the peace among the noise.
In fact, he looked slightly puzzled by the whole gathering of unfamiliar spirits surrounding him, opting to bury his head against you as if it might provide an invisibility cloak.
“Isn’t he the cutest?” a friend commented, pointing at Chase who had planted himself firmly into your lap.
You stroked his soft fur, providing him with reassuring pets. “I think he’s scared of us,” they added.
“He’s just a bit shy,” you replied, glancing down at Chase, who only lifted his head slightly with a soft whimper. “But he’ll warm up soon.”
Just as you were talking, Chase began to wriggle around unexpectedly, clearly seeking something—or someone. You could feel his eagerness in the way he shifted, nudging you.
“What is it, buddy?” you asked, slowly allowing him to move from your lap.
As if freed from a loose leash, Chase bounded towards Lando, catching him off-guard. His tail wagged with enthusiasm, sending a nearby glass teetering toward the edge of the table.
Lando’s face broke into a joyful grin at the sight of his dog coming alive, and it made your heart swell.
“Hey, Chase! You’re finally here!” he said, kneeling down as Chase found his place in Lando's arms.
The transformation from the scared pup to the ecstatic dog was instantaneous, and you couldn’t help but smile as Chase began licking Lando’s face animatedly, as if to say, “Happy birthday, Dad!”
“This is the best birthday gift,” Lando laughed, glancing back at you with his eyes sparkling with love. “Thanks for bringing here! Look at him! He’s so happy!”
You watched as Chase’s little tongue continued to bathe Lando’s face with affectionate licks, trying to express his own birthday wish. “Better than any present I could give you,” you said softly, crossing your arms while leaning back against the counter.
“You’re right about that,” Lando replied, grinning despite the slobber.
“And you know you’re the best present I could ever ask for.” His gaze lingered on you, the warmth of his affection palpable in the room.
As the evening wore on, laughter and chatter filled the house, enveloping everyone in a cocoon of joy.
You walked back to find more snacks for your guests, the melodies of chatter and occasional barks from Chase as he played tug-of-war in the background creating a cheerful, lively atmosphere.
When you returned with a tray of snacks, Lando spotted you and called, “You know, I keep expecting another surprise—like you revealing a hidden talent or something.”
“Oh, please! Not all of us are as talented as you,” you laughed, rolling your eyes dramatically. “What would I even showcase?”
“Juggling? Singing? Interpretive dance?” he teased, showing his cheeky side as he approached, Chase still at his heels.
“You’re lucky I love you,” you said, leaning into him playfully.
As the night continued with games and heartfelt conversations, you couldn’t shake off the feeling of pure bliss. In the moment, with Chase happily rolling around at Lando’s feet while laughter floated through the room, the pressures of life faded into the background.
Here, surrounded by friends and love, everything felt perfect.
As you nestled up next to Lando later that evening, sharing your warm spot on the couch with Chase snuggled between you both, you realized that just like the candles on the cake, these moments were to be cherished—light against the darkness, warmth against the cold.
“Happy birthday, Lando,” you whispered, leaning closer.
“Happy birthday, indeed,” he replied, his smile contagious.
All could be perfect birthdays that lead to unforgettable memories, yet this one would stay forever etched in your heart—a night of laughter, love, and your little family: you, Lando, and Chase. . .

synopsis. in which matt feels like you aren’t considering his feelings and not putting as much effort into your relationship as he is, so he brings it up to you which results in conflict but was quick to be resolved.
warnings. angst. crying, resolved angst, arguing, matt’s lowkey mean in this.
word count.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you and matt had never had an argument as big as this. yous had had small disagreements and quarrels, which were solved in minutes. never huge fights. never the way it is going on right now.
you both had been trying to juggle your lives also while trying to maintain a happy, healthy relationship. which isn’t easy. with that, you were both on the brink of breaking down any moment now. but instead of that, your emotions turned into a big fight. not a good one.
today, you weren’t working in the office and matt wasnt out filming with his brothers. he wasn’t in the best of moods right now, you were too in your head. the perfect cause of a disaster. throughout the whole day, small things kept on building and building until everything went down hill after dinner.
you had been washing you and matt’s dishes, he cleaning up all the other little things. when he had made a snarky comment about how good of a sight it was seeing you finally cleaning up, had made you snap.
you had been moaning about it for a good hour, screaming at one another in the kitchen attempting to get your feelings out some sort of way.
“i just don’t fucking get it sometimes,” matt spat at you, “it’s like all you care and think about is yourself.”
“what?! what the fuck are you even saying?!” you yelled, the anger that had slightly died down was rising straight back up.
“you are the most narcissistic, self-centred, most selfish person i have ever met,” matt said through gritted teeth, “you never think about me. you don’t care about anyone but yourself.”
he took a step closer to you as you slammed the dish you were cleaning down, “you’re the one that’s inconsiderate, not me” he says.
“are you fucking kidding me? don’t talk to me like that ever again, asshole!” you said squinting your eyes at him.
a bitter laugh left matt’s lips, walking right up to you and looking down at you, “i’ll say whatever i want, sweetheart. because for once i’ve reached a fucking breaking point.”
“leave then. fucking leave then, if this is such a problem!” you yell in his face.
you were telling him to leave but this was his house that he shared with his two brothers. nick and chris.
“this is my fucking house. but i will leave!” matt yelled back, “maybe i will just leave and you can spend the rest of your life being the most inconsiderate, selfish jackass on the planet! maybe ill just go find someone who actually values me!”
“are you kidding me right now? are you implying that you’ve been fucking cheating on me?!” you raise your voice in disbelief.
matt hadn’t cheated on you. you just took his words the wrong way.
“no! it was hypothetical! if you’d let me finish, you’d know that!” matt snapped back, “i wouldn’t cheat on you, i love you!”
you were taken aback by his statement, “well, the things you’re fucking saying to me right now don’t scream ‘i love you’ very much!”
“i do love you!” matt snapped, “but god! why are you so selfish, so egotistical, and so inconsiderate! how many times do i have to say it for it to go through your thick, stubborn skull?!”
you scoff, “i’m egotistical? you’re the one that thinks you’re better than everyone else because you make a bag off making shit youtube videos! you constantly think you’re one better than everyone else, matt!”
“i don’t think im better than everyone else! im proud of my work, what the fuck is wrong with that?! i’m proud that i was able to take my passion and make myself a career out of it! i get to play my favourite games and do what i love for a living and have it supported me all while i provide for you too? how is many of that wrong?!”
you furrow your brows at the last part of his sentence, “you provide for me? i’ve got my own job, that i got by myself! i don’t need your fucking money.”
“you live in my house! i pay the bills. you can’t even provide for yourself when you make chump change in a month!” matt was absolutely fuming at this point, taking another step towards you.
you felt hurt at what he said, but you didn’t let it affect the way you presented yourself, “what?! are you fucking kidding me right now? you’re the biggest shit talker and dick head i’ve ever met!”
“no, the biggest dick head you’ve ever met is you! you, with you’re self-righteous ego and narcissistic thought process! i’ve met so many assholes in my life, but no one has even come close to how much of a jerk you are!” matt spat, “i’ve put so many hours into this relationship. i’ve given you everything just for you to come back and act like i don’t care about you, and call me the dickhead?”
you sigh as you think about how much stuff you have to have done by tomorrow, “matt, i don’t have time for this right now!”
“oh, no! i think we have plenty of time for this!” matt said as he slammed his palms on the counter, “we aren’t leaving this kitchen until you can look at me and tell me you truly love me, and that you’re sorry for all the bullshit you’ve been saying!”
you stared in disbelief at what was coming out of his mouth right now, “bullshit i’ve been saying?! you’ve said so much worse than i have, so if it’s anyone that needs an apology it’s me! but i’m not fucking pathetic enough to beg someone for some half-assed apology!”
“bullshit? i’ve been telling the truth this whole entire time!” matt said, you are selfish, you are inconsiderate, you are narcissistic. everything i’ve said is true! and don’t worry, sweetheart. you wouldn’t have to beg me for an apology from me, i’d refuse to give you one, just as you’ve been doing to me this entire time!”
you felt sick to your stomach from what matt was letting fall off his tongue like venom, “why are you with me then?! and done even say ‘it’s because i love you’ because that’s bullshit, because you don’t. if you did you wouldn’t say this whether it’s true or not!”
“i do love you! i love you so fucking much, you don’t even know!” the anger on matt’s face soon gave way to sadness, “i’m just sick of your disregarding my feelings. i’m sick of you being so careless about how i feel or what i want. i’m sick of feeling like the only one that’s pouring my all into this relationship. i’m just tired… it hurts… it hurts me that you never even give me a second thought, even though i have you on my mind at all times.”
“that’s not true at all matt! i do put my all into this relationship and i will give it my last no matter what. i love you more than i can even describe so don’t even fucking doubt that! and give me two times i disregarded your feelings, because i dont!”
“every time i ask you to make dinner so i can do some planning when i come home from filming, you don’t do it! you just brush me off and say you’re too busy or tired! or what about the times i have to beg you to give me some time alone, that i haven’t gotten any privacy in forever. yet you still barge right in when i shut the door and you just start yapping to me!”
“matt you’re not the only one with problems, you know! and i do make us dinner and when i do barge in there’s always a good reason, so don’t even start that!” you spit.
“yes i know that! and i try to help you with your problems when you talk to me about them! but when i come to you with how i feel, you just say you’re too busy to listen to me and that we’ll talk later. but we never do!” matt speaks.
“because when later comes, i always find out that you’re at parties posting up with a bunch of girls. or you’re sitting in a car with nick and chris!” you let roll off your tongue.
“i’d have time for you if you weren’t such a cold, detached person!” matt fires back, “and i’m not ‘sitting in a car’ with nick and chris! we’re working!”
“don’t you ever just think, oh i’m actually in a really good work position compared to other people. because i don’t know if you’ve realised but you don’t need to deal with people constantly blaming you for everything in work because you’re the youngest and easiest to blame and degrade! that is why im always so busy and tired, im constantly cleaning up the shit that you leaving lying about while also juggling my paperwork that i have to do at home!”
“yeah, well you have no idea what it’s like to be a full-time youtuber!” matt said, “i have to keep my fans happy, make videos, do collabs with other creators, all while having my own life! and whenever i come home after being out all day, what do i come home to every time? you sitting on the sofa, on your phone, and not even thinking about what i might want or need after i’ve been busting my ass all day!”
your jaw drops slightly with a puzzled expression on your face, “are you fucking with me? you’re not a child matt, you can do things on your own. just because i’m home before you sometimes does not mean i will be your slave! and if you do, fucking think again!”
“i don’t want a slave! i want my girlfriend! i want someone who cares about me! i want the one i love to put me before anything else!” matt was getting agitated, his eyes starting to water.
“i do matt! i do put you before everything, i try my hardest! i ruin my own mental health for you!” you say with tears running down your face.
“it doesn’t feel like you do!” matt said, “you’re always so distant! you’re always so cold and you never show me any affection! and i’m not asking for much! a kiss every now and again would be nice! you don’t even say you love me unless i say to first!”
you let out a sad sigh, “what do you mean? i kiss you every day! i say i love you all the fucking time!”
“you never do it first though! i’m the only one that ever initiates anything! im the one that is always showing affection! the other day i just wanted a hug after filming and you gave me a one-armed side-hug!”
you rub your eyes out of exhaustion, “matt, i’m tired!”
“i’m tired too!” matt snapped, his voice getting louder now, “im exhausted! im working my ass off to make us money and to make you happy and i get nothing but complaints and coldness in return!”
you whined before huffing out words, “i’m not complaining, you’re the only one complaining right now!”
“yes because you never listen to me!” matt nearly yelled, “im trying to tell you how i actually feel! im opening up and being completely vulnerable with you, you just shoot down every single thing i say! all i want is for you to care!”
“matt i do! i care so fucking much it hurts. i love you more than anything! i left my life in florida to come and stay with you full-time because i knew you didn’t want a long-distance relationship. so if that’s not me considering your feelings then i don’t know what is!”
“i never asked you to move here.” matt said through clenched teeth, “yes, i asked you to move in for the summer, and i get you had a shitty family, but you never had to transfer your job and move your entire life here! you never had to put yourself in a stressful and expressive situation, you did that yourself!”
“no i didn’t! don’t get me wrong i love being here with you, nick and chris. i fucking love it! but it’s really hard sometimes! and i get you’re going through hard times too with your family being in boston but you have open arms everywhere around LA, i don’t, that’s the difference! that is why im so cold and defensive sometimes! im scared to trust!”
“why can’t you trust me?!” matt yelled, “you’ve lived here for a year now! i’ve given you everything just for you to say that you don’t trust me! after all i’ve done for you, after all i’ve given up to make you happy, i still get this kind of bullshit from you!”
you panicked since matt had took what you said the wrong way, “i didn’t say that, baby! i said it’s hard for me to trust anyone other than you!”
“so what does that mean?” matt asked, “i don’t deserve your trust? you don’t trust me when i tell you i love you?”
“it means that i’m bottling everything up inside of me because i don’t trust anyone else other than you because i don’t want to put the stress onto you! i feel like you don’t understand what im going through, which is totally fine, but you don’t ever keep that in mind! yes, you’re going through a hard time too but i am too and you need to think about that when you say things to me. you’re not the only person fucking struggling!”
“no, i get that!” matt argued back, “we’re both going through stuff, but the difference is i make time for you! i make sure that your needs are still met when i have time! you on the other hand disregard my feelings and my wants! you never even try to understand my side, while im constantly trying to get you to understand! and now that i’ve finally gotten you to listen, you’re still saying im wrong!”
“i’m sorry matt! i don’t know what else you want from me, im falling apart over here!”
“i want you! i just want you to love me the way you say you do!” matt said, “i want you to show me, physically, that you care about me! i want you to show me that im a priority in your life, just like you’re a priority in mine!”
“i do care about you! i just go through rough patches where i don’t realise that im not showing you how much i care and love you!”
“why not tell me when you’re going through rough patches? if you’re struggling, then why don’t you tell me so i can be there for you! i’d never think of you any differently, i’d never think to call you selfish or inconsiderate! all you have to do is let me in!” matt exclaims with frustration.
“and that’s one of the hardest things for me to do! it takes time to let people in when you grow up the way i did, when you were constantly told your feelings didn’t matter and if you told people that you were struggling they would think differently of you! and i’m not saying all this for you to feel sorry for me, i’m saying this so you can try and understand it from my perspective.” you explain with tears rolling down your cheeks.
“i do understand! i do understand that you’ve had a hard life and it’s hard to trust and open up, but im not asking you to tell me every single thing that’s ever happened to you and that you’ve ever felt! im asking you to just tell me you miss me, or that you’re upset, or that you’re feeling angry or sad or frustrated! i’m asking you to open up just a little bit so i can do my best and try to show you that i love you!”
you tilt your head back and place your hands over your face before whimpering and tilting your head forward again, “and i’m trying matt!”
“i know you are!” matt said, his voice losing the edge as he looked at your tear stained face with empathy. he took a step closer to you and laid his hands gingerly on your shoulders, “i know you’re trying, i do, and it’s not fair for me to expect you to just completely open up overnight, but you’re tearing me apart too! i’m so worn out and tired from trying to get you to show me that my feelings matter to you!”
you hiccup just before you begin to talk, “i’m really trying to be better matt, i am! and i know what you want from me but it takes time. a lot of time. so please, just give me time and and you’ll get what you want in this relationship. and i’ll give you it whether it wipes me out or not!”
“how much time do i have to give you?” matt sighed, “i’ve given you nearly a year of time. i’ve been trying so hard this entire time to break through whatever wall you have up, and after a year you’re still telling me to wait? i can’t keep waiting forever!”
“i know and it’s not fair on you but it also isn’t fair on me to give you something im not ready for!” you whimper before sighing sadly.
“then what am i supposed to do?” matt exclaimed, stepping backwards and running his fingers through his hair, “if you’re not at a place that you can give me what i need in a relationship, when do you foresee yourself being there? another year? two? never?!”
“i don’t know! that is what i need to figure out and you to trust me on, but it’s hard!” you cry out.
“i’m doing my best to make this easy, but you still keep pushing back when i try to get anything out of you!” matt was frowning frustrated again, taking his hands to his face and massaging his eyes, “im just so tired of trying! i’m at my wits end!”
“matt, im sorry!”
“sorry isn’t good enough anymore!” matt almost shouted, “i don’t want another half-assed apology! that’s all you’ve given me our entire relationship, and it isn’t good enough!”
you internally groan, “matt, it’s not half-assed! i’m being considerate.”
“considerate of who? me? yourself?” matt spat, the anger in his voice returning, “because it seems like you’re trying to avoid having to do any work in our relationship and just want me to accept that you’re not ready!”
“well i don’t know what else you want me to do! because im seriously trying but you’re not giving me the time i need and that just takes us back to square one, baby!” you whine, wiping the tears that is running down your chin.
“but you’re not giving me anything to go off of!” matt’s voice was reaching high octive, the anger and exhaustion on his face evident, “i’ve been trying this entire time and every single time i tell you how i’m feeling you push my away. you ask me to give you time, and what exactly am i supposed to do while i wait other than be miserable?!”
your heart drops, “matt, baby… please. don’t give up on me.” you say your voice and heart breaking all at once.
“i don’t want to give up on you… i don’t!” matt said, the anger leaving his body as he watched your own sadness. he took a step towards you before suddenly wrapping his arms tight around you and pulling you into his chest, “i’m just so tired…” he whispered into your hair.
you sniffle before replying, “me too…”
matt didn’t say anything else, he just held onto you tight and buried his face in your hair. he squeezed you as tight as he closed his eyes and tried to get himself back under control.
there was a long heavy moment of silence that fell over the kitchen before matt finally spoke again, voice low.
“i’m sorry. im sorry im putting so much pressure on you, and you’re not ready. im sorry im losing my patience. i love you so much, but i just want to feel loved too… i want to hear you say it…”
“i love you, so fucking much.” whisper into his chest as you close your eyes, tears spilling out.
matt squeezed you tighter at your words, one of his hands reaching around to touch the back of your head in a protective hold. he rested his chin on top of your head, burying his face in the top of it as he closed his eyes again and inhaled the familiar scent of your shampoo. you could feel his body relax as you spoke, the tension leaving his tired and wear muscles.
“i love you too… i love you so much, even when you drive me crazy…”
“i’m really sorry for making you feel like this… i don’t mean it. i swear. it’s just… i just fuck up everything i do.”
“shhh…” matt hushed you, his hand massaging the back of your head in a soothing manner, “you don’t have to apologise for how you feel. i’m sorry for getting angry at you, i just want you to love me the same way i love you and i got frustrated and impatient.”
“but i fucked up our relationship…” you insecurely whispered into his chest.
“you may have said or done things that weren’t the best, but you haven’t completely ruined this relationship, sweetheart.” matt said quietly, pulling back now so he can look down at your tear stained face.
one of his hands came up to your cheek, his thumb gently swiping away one of the droplets.
“but i have or else we wouldn’t be having this argument…” you whispered.
“arguments are apart of every relationship, baby. this is natural, especially for us.” matt said, his tone gentle as he spoke, “this doesn’t mean you’ve completely ruined us. i still love you, and im sure you still love me.”
“of course i do, and don’t ever doubt it” you say shaking your head and looking down to the ground in embarrassment and shame that you caused this huge argument.
“hey,” matt spoke quietly as he took one of his fingers and placed it under your chin so he could lift it up, forcing you to look at him, “look at me baby,”
“hm?” you hum as you look up at him with a saddened look on your face.
his expression was so much softer than before, the exhaustion and the anger now replaced with love and concern. matt’s eyes searched your face as he kept his hand under you chin to hold you head up.
“i want you to listen to me and really hear me, okay?” he said in a soft and calm voice.
“okay” you whisper groggily due to the waterworks from before, and licking your dry lips.
“i love you. no matter how many times i get angry, or frustrated, or exhausted, i love you more than you will ever truly know. you haven’t ruined this. i haven’t lost my love or trust for you.” matt began to say, keeping his eyes fixed on yours, “i don’t ever want you to think that i don’t love you because i do. all i want is for you to try and meet me where i am, okay?”
“i love you. and im sorry for not doing what you expected from me. thank you for giving me a second chance, i don’t deserve you.” you say as another few tears spill out of your eyes.
“i don’t expect you to be perfect, sweetheart. i know you’ve gone through things and that’s what makes you human, but i know you still love me.” he whispered calmly.
matt dropped his hand from your chin to wrap around your waist again, and he gently pulled you forward to press you against his chest once more, his chin resting on top of your head and his arms wrapped around you in a firm hold.
“i love you” you whisper into his chest for the tenth time today, before leaning up and pressing a kiss to his lips, matt returned the kiss with gentle fervour, before burying his head in the crook of your neck and shoulder.
he held you tight, his body relaxing and conforming to your form as he held you close to him, enjoying the feeling of your body against his.

Of course another day you both are bickering...again.
He was reading some boring books about a topic he's interested in when he noticed you walking near him, and as usual his eyes are already trained on you, but he just continues reading, acting as if he's not even noticing you right at that moment.
Yet his mind is slowly shifting its attention towards you, and of course he can't deny how annoyed he feels because of the fact that you both just had another stupid argument, and because of his proud and fucking logical personality of his, he just couldn't bring himself to approach you or say anything after what he said to you.
And his stoic face just remains unreadable at that moment, continuing to read his book but his mind is now elsewhere and thinking of.. you. Or at least is what you want to think.
After taking a good look at you, he spoke.
"Did you needed something?"
The question came out in an indifferent tone to him, as if he doesn't even care and is just asking you just because he felt like it. His eyes still on the book.
He heard you let out a deep huff, which makes him internally roll his eyes.
He heard you mumbling something under your breath, which didn't go unnoticed by him, and he finally put down the book on his lap, lifting his gaze up so he can look at you now.
"What was that? Care to speak up?"
He questioned in a cold tone, his eyes not leaving yours, watching how your expression changed immediately as soon as his gaze is now on you. He patiently waited for your next words, and all that he can think about was how you two just had a trivial argument and here you are again, just.. bicker like you always do.
"Could you prepare me something to eat?" You dared to speak, raising your voice a little more.
He was always the one who cooked, but not because you don't know how to cook, or well, you know the basics, almost little, it was because you are afraid of fire.
It wasn't even a surprise to him on how you're acting right now.
He rolled his eyes at you.
"No."
He replied shortly, his tone blunt and cold. He then picked the book up and resumed his reading, acting as if he could care less about your presence right at the moment.
If you wanted to eat anything, you'd have to make it yourself. He was not going to give in that easily.
Your heart sank at his cold response.
You couldn't believe how unreasonable he was being.
"Please. I'm hungry." You tried again, not in a demanding voice, but in a pleading one, hoping that he would give in, but knowing him, he probably won't.
He let out a sigh, as if your plea had annoyed him more than it should. He closed the book and put it away from his lap, his eyes now looking up at you.
"If you're hungry, you should learn how to fix yourself something to eat." He said in a cold tone.
Your face fell at his response.
You just wanted a meal, just a little bit of kindness.
"But I don't know how."
You mumbled quietly, your head hanging low.
"It's time you learn. Or just starve. I don't care."
His tone was firm, showing no sign of sympathy or empathy towards you and your situation.
Your heart clenches at his words.
You could feel your heart tightening in your chest, feeling as if you can't breathe for a moment.
Collecting your little dignity left at the time, you went to another part of the department. Just come back a few minutes later.
You slowly approached where he was sitting, now checking his phone.
And just as you opened your mouth to say something, he spoke first.
"I'm busy,"
"Please, Veritas."
You said in a pleading voice, hoping that he'd at least show a little bit of mercy.
But of course, he just shook his head and looked at you with a cold, emotionless gaze.
"And I told you, no. Stop being so dependent."
"But-" You were about to protest.
He was being cold again.
"No buts. My answer is final." He retorted in a stern tone, interrupting you once again before you could even say anything more.
Of course he'd be like this.
Your heart sank. You felt the lump on your throat forming.
"You need to learn to be independent and stop depending on me for every damn thing. It's not my job to feed you. You're not a child anymore."
He said, his tone cold and firm.
You sighed again and left the living room, just to go to your shared room.
You thought for a few more minutes, it wasn't the best idea, but you were really hungry. So you grabbed your cell phone and opened the fast meals home app.
You were choosing a good choice of the big variety.
As you were on the bed, choosing, you heard footsteps approaching the room, and soon enough the door opened slowly.
There, you saw your boyfriend leaning against the frame, looking at you. He had a bored expression on his face.
"What are you doing?"
Damn, he even followed you to the room?
You hesitated for a moment, you didn't want him to question you right now.
But you knew you had no choice, he already found out.
"Ordering food," you muttered quietly, avoiding his gaze.
He was silently studying your face for a moment, his eyes scanning your expression and body language, and for some reasons, he looked a bit annoyed.
He approached the bed and skillfully removed your phone from your hands
"It's a bad way to spend our money," he said.
"Go, cook you something," he added, as he left the room, with your phone.
You felt your heart sink deeper again. That hurt.
He wasn't being caring, he didn't even care about you. He was being rude and cold as usual, just when you expected him to show a little understanding, even just a little bit.
You bit your lower lip.
Of course, he wasn't going to allow you to order food. You should've known better.
He knew you had a hard time being in the kitchen, and he still has the audacity to do this.
You sat there for a long time, before finally deciding to get up and go to the kitchen. You wanted to prove to him that you could do it, that you weren't incompetent.
You entered the kitchen with a heavy heart.
As you look around the kitchen, you were slightly overwhelmed with the task at hand. You were unsure of what to make, and you felt your stomach rumble with hunger.
You wanted to cry in frustration.
You opened the fridge, looking for anything that was easy enough for you to make. But the more time you spent looking, the more intimidated you felt.
As your eyes scanned the various ingredients, you let out a deep sigh. You had no idea what to do.
For once, you just wish he could've helped you, or at least not be such a cold jackass when you needed him to.
You took longer than you expected, even having to clean up the big mess you had done in the kitchen.
With a knot in your chest and throat, you walked to the table with the plate in your hand.
It was the most horrible thing you've ever seen and done.
It didn't even look like food, much less edible.
But you had no choice.
You sat at the table, while you ate what you had prepared.
You couldn't help but feel ridiculous.
Your blurred view made it almost impossible to see what was on the plate, while you occasionally felt your salty tears while taking bites of food.
Was this his way of punishing you for the fight you two had?
As you ate, your mind drifted to the moment you and him had argued.
You knew it was a stupid fight, over something silly as always. You both always argued over small things, and it always ended with him being cold and aloof, and you feeling frustrated and upset.
You wondered if you two would ever be able to go back to how you were in the beginning.
The days when he was sweeter and more affectionate, the days when arguments were rare, and the days when you felt truly loved and appreciated by him.
You were deep in your thoughts when you heard a phone ringing, bringing you back to reality.
It was coming from the living room, probably his.
But as you were about to get up, you heard your boyfriend walking towards the kitchen instead.
He was holding his phone in his hand, and he looked slightly surprised when he saw you.
He approached the table and sat in the chair opposite you.
He leaned his elbows on the table, still holding the phone, and he gave you a strange look.
The expression on his face was unreadable to you.
His reddish eyes scanned you, taking in how you looked.
You must look awful right now.
You are still crying, your eyes were probably red and swollen, and you were sure your face was a mess.
He didn't say anything at first. He just looked at you, his gaze flickering from your face to the plate in front of you.
You could tell he noticed the mess you had made in the kitchen, probably because you can't cook properly, a fact that he's well aware of.
He still wasn't saying anything.
His eyes still on you.
You felt his gaze, you could feel it burning through you.
Eventually, he broke the silence that was hanging in the air.
"You tried cooking, huh?" He said in a low, unreadable tone.
His tone was neutral, but you could sense a hint of something in it, but you couldn't quite tell if it was surprise, mocking, or something else.
You nodded in response, still trying to hold back your tears.
There was another moments of silence, as his eyes never left your face.
You were going to eat another bite of the raw, burnt food on your plate, but before you could, Ratio got up from his seat, grabbing your plate and fork and taking it to the kitchen.
When he did that, you didn't even look at him, you just looked at the table.
You were biting your lip so that the sobs wouldn't come out of your mouth.
'How humiliating,' you thought.
You stayed silently in your seat, hearing Ratio move around in the kitchen.
You were going to get up from the chair, it was already a few minutes and at least you wanted to go to your room.
But before you could get up from the table, he walked back into the kitchen and placed a plate of food in front of you.
You could smell the good food from the plate he had put in front of you.
His expression was not one of indifference as it often was, but there was something else.
You knew how to recognize that expression.
He didn't say anything, but the way he looked at you, it was different. There was a hint of guilt in his eyes. He looked almost hesitant.
He sat on the chair next to you.
"Eat, don't cry anymore," he said, while with one of his thumbs he wiped your wet cheek.
His gesture had surprised you.
You didn't expect him to be so sweet, especially since he had been so cold just a few moments earlier.
His hand lingered on your cheek for a few moments, but then he moved his hand away, still looking at you.
You nodded, swallowing a sob.
You loved your fiancé.

Fuck.
You two just had an argument in the middle of the street.
Why did this always happen?
It was a shameful thing to feel the glances of strangers walking near where you were.
You were both arguing loudly in the middle of the street, and passers-by couldn't help but look at you with surprise or annoyance.
They could probably feel the tension between you two.
Ratio had his usual expressionless expression on his face, while you were gesticulating and getting more and more frustrated.
"I don't understand why you can't just-!"
"I've told you time and time again-!"
You both were interrupting each other and not letting each other finish.
You could feel the eyes of the passers-by on you, some even stopped to watch the scene.
You were sure that you both looked like a couple of idiots fighting in the middle of the street.
"I don't care!"
You raised your voice and crossed your arms.
Ratio looked at you with irritation, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"Stop being so stubborn."
He replied, his tone firm and cold.
"I'm not being stubborn, you just won't listen to me!"
You protested.
After one more exchange of words, you and he remained silent.
The cold air grazed your face.
The silence between you was deafening.
It felt like hours since either of you spoke, the only sound between you was the soft hum of the air.
Your heart was racing, you could hear your own breathing.
He was just staring directly at you, his unreadable expression.
You didn't want to say anything, but you were forced to do it, because you two still couldn't go home.
"We need to buy groceries," you said, without gesticulating the words too much.
Ratio clenched his jaw slightly, but he didn't say anything.
Instead, he started walking, passing by you without saying a word.
You sighed, following him closely.
The atmosphere between you remained tense and silent as you both walked to the nearby store.
The walk to the store was uncomfortable and silent.
You two just walk side by side, not saying anything or making eye contact.
But you felt his presence next to you.
He had his hands in his pockets, and he look straight ahead, his expression impassive.
As you two approached the store, you suddenly felt his hand brush against yours.
His touch was fleeting, and it was almost like it was an accident.
You were surprised by the touch, but you didn't pull away.
For a brief moment, his fingers gently grazed the back of your hand, and you felt a slight shiver run down your spine.
But as soon as it happened, he quickly withdrew his hand, putting it back in his pocket. He didn't look at you, his face completely impassive.
You felt a bit confused by his sudden gesture.
You glimpse at him from the corner of your eye, trying to see if he had done it intentionally or if it had been an accident.
His expression was still the same.
You were so damn weak for him.
When you two got to the grocery store, you started grabbing some products.
You both were silent, still not speaking as you moved around the store.
You tried to focus on shopping and not on the tension between you two.
As you walked together down one of the aisles, he suddenly spoke.
"We're out of coffee mix," he said in a low, cold tone.
You looked at him, noticing the way his eyes glanced at you for a moment.
That was the first thing he'd said since the argument.
You thought for a moment before answering.
"Yeah, I know," you replied quietly.
There was a noticeable lack of warmth and affection in your tone.
The air between you was still tense, the argument still unresolved and both of you still upset with each other.
As you two walked past the coffee aisle, you noticed how his eyes shifted to the small coffee packets.
He looked at them for a moment, a flicker of thought in his eyes.
For your part, you took a brand of coffee that you liked before you did the action of placing it in the shopping cart.
However, before you could put the coffee mix into the cart, Ratio snatched it from your hand.
He look at the packaging of the item for a moment, his eyes scanning the label.
"This one is too sweet," he said, still holding the packet in his hand.
You couldn't help rolling your eyes.
"I like it," you said in a defiant tone.
He ignored your reply and put the packet back on the shelf.
Instead, he recorded another packet from the shelf that was next to it.
It was a darker, stronger-looking mix than the one you wanted.
"This one is better," he said bluntly.
You grabbed another packet of the shelf by putting it in the shopping cart.
"We agreed that we were going to take turns for the brand," you said, trying to close the issue.
Ratio glanced at the packet you had put in the cart, and he frowned.
He grabbed it from the cart and put it back on the shelf.
"If I hadn't made you remember that we're out of coffee, you wouldn't care," he said, placing the instant coffee brand he liked in the cart.
You felt a sense of irritation rise up in you.
Why couldn't he accept your option when it was your turn to choose?
"Veritas, it's my turn to choose," you said firmly. "You should respect that."
Ratio just looked at you with a cold expression, as he put another packet of that coffee mix in the cart.
"I'm not going to waste money on a bad product," he said bluntly.
'He's behaving like this just because of the argument?', you thought.
You were starting to become frustrated with the whole situation.
First the unresolved argument in the middle of the street, and now he was acting like an annoying child just because he didn't like your coffee choice.
"You're behaving like a child," you said, looking straight at him.
His eyes met yours, and there was a hint of irritation in his expression.
"I'm not the one being ridiculous right now," he replied, his tone cold.
You took your hand to the bridge of your nose, sighing exasperately.
"You know what? Fine, choose that one."
Then you put the brand of coffee you liked inside the cart. "I'm going to pay for this with my money," you said, as you closed the conversation.
You knew it was a waste to buy two different brands of coffee, but you weren't going to fall behind on this.
Ratio looked annoyed by your stubbornness, but he didn't say anything.
You both walked in silence down the aisle looking for the remaining items.
The tension between you two was still palpable, and the air felt thick.
You glimpse at him from the corner of your eye, noticing how he was avoiding looking at you directly.
He looked slightly irked, his jaw clenched slightly.
You felt a bit annoyed seeing his expression, but you wouldn't say anything about it.
He had started all this.
Once you two finished shopping, you left the grocery store, handing out the bags to load, as you had never been a fan of seeing him carry all the shopping bags.
To great luck you had, it had started to rain.
As you stepped out of the store, you immediately felt the cold, damp air on your skin.
You shivered slightly, feeling the raindrops hit your face.
You look up at the sky, the rain falling harder now.
'This is just great,' you thought, feeling a mixture of annoyance and disappointment.
Ratio was by your side, looking equally as annoyed.
"Just perfect," he muttered, his voice low.
You both had to go back to the store so you could buy a simple umbrella.
Having the umbrella already, you started walking next to him.
"This wouldn't have happened if you hadn't been so obsessed with that coffee mix," you said, looking at him with a slight edge in your voice.
Ratio just gave you a look, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"It's not my fault you have such terrible taste in coffee," he replied.
You didn't answer, you just rolled your eyes.
You were going to keep walking, but your sight stopped in your shoes, your laces were untied, so you had to stop.
Once you knelt down so you could tie your shoes, you had to leave the shopping bags on the floor for a moment.
As you began to barely grab your shoe laces, you felt the rain start to wet you again.
You quickly raised your head, watching Ratio, who was carrying the umbrella, continue walking.
Oh, you really thought he would stop.
"Hey!" you called out to him.
Ratio seemed to realize that you had stopped and he stopped walking.
He turned around and looked at you, an impatient expression on his face.
"What," he said, his tone cold.
You gave him an annoyed look.
"You didn't notice that I had stopped," you replied.
Ratio rolled his eyes, an almost unnoticeable gesture, but you caught it.
"I thought you would catch up," he replied, his voice still cold.
"Well, I can't tie my shoes and run at the same time," You muttered.
With nothing else to add, he turned around and continued walking.
You haven't noticed that yet.
But once you've finished tying your shoe laces, you got up from the ground, grabbing the shopping bags you left on the floor.
You saw him much further away, almost a block away from where you were.
Your heart skipped a beat when you realized that Ratio leave you behind.
You stayed there for a while, watching him walk, not even turning a little bit towards where you had stayed.
It was you and the heavy rain falling on you.
What a ridiculous thing. Again.
At least it would have been a nice time if you just liked the rain, but you didn't. You didn't like the rain, especially because you got sick easily.
And he knew that perfectly well.
You swallowed hard, before you started walking, without running or rushing your way to reach it.
'Idiot,' you thought.
You walked behind at a distance, keeping your head down.
Your clothes were already very damp, and you felt cold shiver run through your body.
The rain continued to fall heavily, making you feel more and more uncomfortable.
You shouted your teeth in irritation, frustrated that he had just left you behind like that.
He knew how much you disliked the rain, and yet he didn't care about it.
And why? Because you two had, again, an argument.
By the time you got to the apartment you shared with him, it took you a little bit to put the key in the lock, as your hands were shaking a little bit because of the cold.
Once you got in, you saw the bags he had on the table.
Oh, of course, he had arrived before you.
You walked inside, feeling your clothes sticking to your skin, drenched in rain.
You felt cold and tired, but you were too annoyed to do anything about it.
As you placed the bags in the table, you heard a noise coming from the bedroom. Probably Ratio who was changing clothes.
You didn't want to think about him right now, you just wanted go take a hot shower.
You started taking off your clothes, discarding them on the floor.
You then entered the bathroom, closing the door, and turned on the hot water on the shower.
The hot water streamed down on your body, warming you.
You stood under the water for a long moment, trying to warm yourself up, when you felt the door of the bathroom open.
Ratio stepped into the bathroom silently, taking off his clothes.
He walked over to the shower, opening the door, the hot water spraying on both of you.
You felt him behind you, his presence close to yours.
None of you said anything for a long moment.
The only sound was the water falling on your skin and the floor of the shower.
He was so close to you, physically but also so far away from you mentally. His chest just a few inches away from your back.
He put his hands on your waist, his thumbs tracing slow circles on your skin.
You felt a shiver run through your body, but not because of the cold.
His touch was slow, almost gentle.
But you moved, making his touch fade away.
Ratio noticed your movement, and he withdrew his hands from your waist.
You started washing your hair, ignoring the tension between you two.
He stayed there, just watching you, his gaze fixed on you.
You could feel his eyes on you as you washed your hair and body.
There was a tense moment of silence, as none of you spoke.
You didn't even look back at him, you didn't want to see his face.
The only sound was the water hitting your skin and the floor of the shower.
Until he spoke again.
"Do you want me to help you?" His voice came out calm, almost soft.
The question caught you a little bit on guard.
You didn't expect him to say that.
You remained still for a moment before answering.
"No, I can do it myself," you replied dryly.
You continued washing your hair, trying to ignore his presence behind you.
Ratio moved closer to you, standing right behind you.
You could feel the heat radiating from his body, his naked body just a few inches from yours.
He brought his hand to your hair, starting to massage the shampoo into your scalp.
His movements were gentle, almost tender.
Fuck. No matter how much you wanted to refuse his touch, you couldn't.
You were weak.
You felt his fingers massaging your scalp gently, and you involuntarily leaned back slightly into his touch.
This whole situation was messing with your head.
Here you were, showering with your boyfriend, with whom you had just had a pretty heated argument, and he was giving you such soft, tender touch.
You could almost forget your annoyance and anger at him. Almost.
Still, you stayed silent, not saying anything.
So as not to keep getting lost in his caresses, you finished washing yourself and left the shower.
Your feet wet the bathroom floor, as you walked into the bathtub, which you had filled with hot water.
You let yourself be immersed in the water, feeling your body relax.
Ratio finished washing his hair and body, and stepped out of the shower.
He turned off the water, recording a towel to dry himself.
He glanced at you in the bathtub, his eyes roaming over your water body.
He approached you.
He didn't say anything, but he looked at you, as if he was trying to read your thoughts.
"Can I go in too?" He dared to ask.
You looked at him, meeting his gaze.
His wet hair was falling over his green eyes, his face slightly flushed from the hot water.
You ended up nodding, not knowing where to move for, because you didn't know which side he wanted to sit on.
Ratio entered the tub quietly, moving to the opposite side of you.
You both stared at each other in silence, not knowing what to say.
There was a tension in the air, and the atmosphere felt so heavy.
You watched each other, your gazes locked together.
Then Ratio spoke.
"Come here" He said.
You flinched a little from his words, a bit surprised.
But his voice was gentle and almost tender, his eyes almost begging you to go near him.
You had tried to stay indifferent, but Ratio knew exactly what to say to get through to you.
Although at first you were reluctant, you ended up moving to his side of the bathtub.
You sat between his legs.
Ratio wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer to him.
You felt his chest against your back.
His touch was light, almost reverently. His large hand moved over your stomach, tracing small circles over your skin.
He stayed silent, as if he were just enjoying the moment, having you in his arms.
You allowed yourself to lean on his chest, closing your eyes.
You sat there in silence, feeling Ratio's touch gently caress your stomach.
It was almost surreal, the way he was acting. As if the argument from before had been erased.
You began to relax into his arms, feeling the warm water of the tub, and his gentle caresses.
No words were spoken between you two, just the subtle sound of water.
His touch was almost soothing, and you felt the tension slowly slipping away.
You were definitely weak. And all because you loved your fiancé.
Tumblr media
You had been patient, waiting every time he told you to wait.
There was something you had to tell him about, something that would change your life and his.
But as always, you had to be 'patient.'
You both were laying in the bed, in the dark silence of the night.
Ratio was asleep, while you laid there, wide awake.
You couldn't sleep, your mind filled with thoughts.
You had kept the information to yourself just because he had told you to wait patiently.
But you couldn't wait any longer. You had to tell him.
So you turned around, moving closer to him.
"Ratio." You called out his name in a low voice.
He stirred slightly at the sound of his name, his sleep disturbed.
He opened his eyes slowly, adjusting to the darkness.
Then he looked at you, his gaze a bit sleepy.
"What…?" He mumbled, his voice groggy with sleep.
You could tell he was a bit irritated at the fact that you had woken him up, but you tried to ignore his expression.
"I need to talk to you," you said, your voice low but firm.
Ratio groaned, but he sat up on the bed, running a hand through his messy hair.
"Can this wait until tomorrow?" He said, clearly still tired.
You shook your head, your eyes fixed on his face.
"No, it can't wait until tomorrow," you insisted.
Ratio sighed, clearly irritated that you were interrupting his sleep.
"Honey, yes, you can wait until tomorrow," he said, settling back in bed.
"I have to work in the morning,"
And yes, the same thing happened in the afternoon and at night. You even tried again after a few days, but the same thing happened.
But you assumed it was okay, because you tried to be understanding. You'd have time to tell him later.
Tumblr media
You hated fighting, especially if it was about being inside the car.
There were always the grave silences.
It was horrible.
The whole situation was horrific in itself.
You remember the last time you argue, you were also shopping.
You were putting things inside the car, and once you and he finished doing it, Ratio headed to the driver's seat.
You were going to sit in the back seat, as you were too uncomfortable to sit in the co-pilot seat.
But just as you had opened the door, you closed it, because it was a call from work.
"Yes, I know, I left the reports in the first drawer… No, on the one on the left," you started talking, walking a few steps away from the car.
It took you almost five minutes to realize that the car was no longer behind you.
Actually, you wouldn't have noticed that he left, because you only did it when you turned around.
"Ah, yes, forgive me… right, okay, I'll call you in a while," you spoke, in a low voice, almost necessarily.
And you hung up the call, now looking at the empty place in the parking lot.
The car was gone. Ratio was gone.
You felt the heart stop in your chest.
You just stood there in the middle of the parking lot, alone.
You almost couldn't believe that he had done that yet again.
Leaving you behind after an argument. Again.
That day you had to walk home, not because it was dramatic, but because your bag had been left in the back seat of the car. You thought about ordering a taxi, but they still didn't deposit your payment.
When you got home, he wasn't there yet, which was strange to you.
After a few minutes, he walked into the apartment and seeing you on the couch, he came quickly and hugged you.
"I'm sorry," he whispered, his voice low.
Ratio held you tightly, burying his face in your hair.
You could feel his arms around you, holding you close, as if he was trying to keep you there.
What had really happened, is that when you closed the car door, he believed you were inside too. And because he was upset at the time, he didn't bother to see you through the rear-view mirror of the car.
And by the time he noticed and went back to the parking lot, you weren't there anymore.
You grabbed your seatbelt on you with one hand, touching and feeling the material under your fingertips.
"Why can't you be more responsible?"
He questioned.
His voice was cold and he looked annoyed, and there was no need to add that he was pissed.
"Can't I go to a party in peace without you lecturing me?"
You counterattacked him, returning the same hostility.
He let out a scoff, while making sure to concentrate on driving.
"You don't even know how to behave, or how to take care of yourself."
He shot you an accusatory glare.
You clenched your jaw tightly, barely containing your anger.
"I'm not a child, you know I can take care of myself just fine," you retorted through gritted teeth.
Ratio rolled his eyes, as if your statement was nothing but a foolish one.
"Please," he said, his tone mocking. "It's painfully obvious that you can't."
"Not like I need you to babysit me," you retorted, your voice dripping with sarcasm.
Ratio shot you an annoyed look before refocusing his gaze on the road.
"Obviously you do, considering the ridiculous decisions you make," he retorted, his voice filled with irritation.
You bristled at his comment, feeling your anger rise up.
"I don't need your constant lectures to know how to make decisions. I can manage my life just fine without your approval."
Ratio huffed, clearly not accepting your defiance.
"Clearly not, since you insist on continuing to act childish and irresponsible."
You wanted to snap back and tell him to mind his own business, but you held your tongue.
The ride continued in an icy silence, the tension in the car almost palpable.
Ratio kept his eyes fixed on the road, his face set in a stern expression.
You could feel his annoyance radiating off of him, but you refused to back down.
"Can't you just lighten up for once?" You finally broke the silence, letting your frustration show.
Ratio didn't look at you, his grip on the steering wheel tightening.
"I would if I didn't have to deal with your foolishness every damn day."
The words stung, and your anger flared up anew.
"Oh, so it's my fault that you're always in such a rotten mood, huh?" You said, your voice dripping with sarcasm.
Ratio let out a scoff, his patience clearly thinning.
"Perhaps if you acted like a proper adult, I wouldn't be so stressed all the time."
"I am acting like a proper adult," You snapped back, your temper starting to get the better of you.
Ratio gritted his teeth, his annoyance becoming more evident.
"And what, you want a pat on the back for that?" You clenched your fists, your irritation reaching new levels.
"Maybe I do. Maybe I deserve a bit of credit instead of getting lectured all the time."
Ratio huffed, his grip on the steering wheel tightening.
"Credit for what, exactly? Reckless behavior and lacking common sense?"
"Shut up, Veritas," You let go, with the feelings blossoming.
At those words, his irritation transforming into anger.
The air in the car became tense as the silence grew heavy.
"Excuse me?" He finally spoke his voice dropping an octave.
You knew you had crossed a line.
"I said shut up," you repeated.
"I can take care of myself and I know how to behave like a damn adult,"
Ratio abruptly pulled the car into the side of the road, parking the vehicle.
He turned to you.
"You truly think you're so capable, don't you?"
You met his gaze directly.
"I know I am," you retorted, your voice cold.
His gaze turned away from yours, looking forward.
"If that so then," you heard him mutter. But before you could answer that, you spoke again, this time in a tone of voice that you could understand clearly.
"Get out of the car,"
Your eyes widened in shock.
"What?"
You were taken aback by his words, not expecting him to say such a thing.
Ratio repeated his command, his voice firm.
"I said get out of the car. Now."
You hesitated for a moment, your mind racing.
"But—"
"But nothing. Get out," Ratio cut you off, not allowing any further arguments.
His tone left no room for discussion.
"You can't be serious," you said, your voice shaking slightly.
But Ratio's expression was resolute.
"I am. Get out of the damn car."
You stared at him for a moment, feeling a wave of fear and anger mixed together.
The night air was cool, and the lack of streetlights made the deserted road feel even more isolated.
You instinctively brought a hand to your belly.
Then, you unbuckled your seatbelt with trembling hands.
Without saying a word, you opened the car door.
"Fine," you muttered, getting out of the car.
As you stood outside the vehicle, the cold wind hit you like a slap.
You looked back at Ratio, who was still seated inside, his expression unreadable.
"You said you can take care of yourself, right? So prove it." He said.
His words felt like a punch in the gut.
You looked around, noticing how deserted the area was.
You turned back to him, a mixture of anger and fear in your eyes.
"You can't seriously expect me to—" you started, but Ratio cut you off.
"You said you were an adult. Act like one."
And without waiting for an answer from you, he just started the engine, leaving you there.
The sound of the car engine growing fainter as it pulled away was like a dagger to your heart.
You were suddenly hit with the harsh realization of the situation.
You were alone in the middle of nowhere, with no other cars in sight.
The fear and anger you had felt earlier turned into a mix of anxiety and desperation.
You looked around, trying to figure out what to do next.
Again, your hand was directed at your belly.
You were scared for your safety.
Not to mention that the sudden, strong desire to cry was catching you.
You couldn't believe that Ratio had actually left you there, in the middle of nowhere.
You looked back at the road, silently hoping that Ratio would come back and tell you it was just a sick joke.
But deep down, you knew that wasn't the case.
Tears welled up in your eyes, but you quickly brushed them away, trying to hold them back.
You took a shaky breath, trying to calm yourself.
While you were holding your hand in the same position as before, your thumb moved slightly, gently stroking the zone.
"It's okay," you said.
You didn't know how you did it, but you did, you were able to get to the apartment.
You had to walk a few blocks, because there was literally nobody in that area of the city.
That until you finally managed to order a taxi.
You're still somewhat anxious, because you really were lucky, those kinds of situations never go well.
You knocked on it and waited for a couple of seconds, until finally, the door opened, revealing Ratio with an irritated expression.
"You came back."
He said, his voice flat.
You didn't respond.
Instead, you pushed past him and entered the apartment, your heart was still racing.
You walked past him silently, but he closed the door behind you, then followed you.
The apartment was quiet, the only sound was the hum of the air conditioner.
With quick steps, you went to the main bathroom.
You closed the door behind you, leaning on the door as you felt like you were going to fall to the ground and cry.
You leaned against the cold surface, trying to catch your breath and calm the beating of your chest.
Tears filled your eyes once again, but this time you didn't hold back.
You didn't make any noise, but the tears were falling silently and unstoppably. Your throat burned.
He had left you alone on a deserted road, in the middle of nowhere, and for what?
To provide a point?
To teach you a lesson?
It was unfair, it was cruel, and it was hurtful.
You couldn't hold it in any longer, the tension and fear releasing themselves in shaky sobs.
You wished you had someone to be with you, to hug you. To love you.
Not even just a few moments later, there was a knock on the door.
The knocking made you freeze for a moment, as the sound cut through the quiet of the bathroom.
Ratio's voice came through the door.
"Are you okay in there?"
You quickly wiped your tears, not wanting him to see and hear you so vulnerable, even if he was the cause.
"Yeah," you said through the door, your voice strained and hoarse.
There was a long pause, and you could sense him hesitating on the other side of the door.
Finally, he spoke again.
"Can I come in?"
"No," You said, without letting your voice betray you.
Another pause, and you waited for him to argue.
But he didn't.
Instead, you heard his sigh from behind the door.
"Okay. But please come out when you're ready. We need to talk."
Without another word, he walked away from the bathroom door.
You listened to his footsteps retreating to the living room.
After a few minutes, you splashed your face with cold water, taking a few deep breaths before exiting the bathroom.
You walked to the living room, where you found Ratio sitting on the couch, his expression unreadable.
You stood awkwardly in the doorway, waiting for him to start talking.
Ratio gestured to the seat next to him, inviting you to sit down.
You hesitantly sat down next to him, keeping a distance.
The silence between you was charged with tension.
Ratio seemed to be struggling to find the right words, and every passing moment felt like an eternity.
Finally, he spoke, his voice serious.
"I just want to make it clear that I didn't mean any harm to you," he started.
You didn't respond, still feeling the hurt from his actions earlier.
Even though you were supposed to talk, you didn't want to.
You just wanted to rest, so you could relax a little bit.
Ratio could sense your lack of enthusiasm, but he pressed on.
He ran a hand through his hair, sighing.
"Listen… I know that what I did was wrong, but-" he tried to speak, but you interrupted him with a look.
"No, no buts," you said, your voice firm.
"You left me there, on a deserted road, in the middle of nowhere. Do you have any idea how scared I was?"
Ratio wonced, clearly not expecting you to speak so directly.
You saw him open his mouth to say something else, but you spoke first.
"I want to sleep now," you said, so he understood you didn't want to have this conversation now.
Ratio's expression shifted.
But he didn't argue.
Instead, he nodded slowly, acknowledging your wish to end the conversation.
"Alright," he said softly.
You got up from the couch, walking to bedroom.
It might sound childish and all, but you didn't really want to share the bed with him.
So you grabbed your pillow and a blanket, as you left the bedroom.
You walked back into the living room, finding Ratio still sitting on the couch.
He watched as you made yourself a makeshift bed on the other couch with the pillow and blanket.
His eyes betrayed curiosity and confusion, but he didn't say anything.
You settled down on the makeshift bed, turning your back to him, signaling that you wanted to be alone.
Ratio stared at you for a moment longer, a mix of emotions etched on his face.
He seemed like he wanted to say something, but ultimately, he simply sighed again and returned his gaze forward.
He didn't try to persuade you to return to the bedroom.
You heard his footsteps away from the living room, which you mentally thanked.
You tried to sleep, settling on the couch.
The events of the day replayed on a loop in your mind, especially Ratio leaving you there.
You tried to push the thoughts away, but you couldn't.
Is that really the man you'd marry?
At this point, you didn't know if you loved your fiancé as much as before.
Tumblr media
Three weeks had passed, and the events of that night had created an invisible barrier between you and Ratio.
There was constant tension in the air, and you often felt like you were tip-toeing around each other's emotions.
You continued to sleep on the couch in the living room, refusing to return to the shared bedroom.
Ever since the fight, you had been acting a bit distant with him.
Ratio hadn't apologed directly for the incident, but you knew he was sorry.
However, you could also see he didn't really know how to deal with the situation, so he mostly tried to avoid discussing it.
So Ratio seemed to be trying to mend things, offering small gestures such as bringing you coffee or suggesting you watch a movie together.
But you were still hurt, most of the time you flatly denies or just not taking the things he brought you.
Today, you were sitting on the couch, reading a book.
Ratio was in the kitchen, preparing dinner for both of you.
You could hear him moving around, the sounds of pots and pans clanking together.
It was a Saturday night, and neither of you had work tomorrow.
Finally, after a couple of minutes, Ratio walked into the living room, holding two plates of food.
He placed one in front of you, while he sat down in the chair next to the couch.
Both of you started to eat in silence.
The lack of conversation was becoming awkward. The only sounds were the clinking of forks against the plates.
Ratio tried to start a conversation, clearing his throat.
"How was the book you're reading?" He asked, attempting to engage you.
You looked up from your plate, making eye contact with him for the first time that evening.
"It's… fine," you responded, keeping your voice neutral.
Ratio nodded, struggling to find something else to say.
The silence returned, and the air thickened with tension.
Ratio tried once more.
"Listen… I've been thinking a lot about what happened and-"
You cut him off before he could say anything else.
"Don't," you said, your voice firm.
Ratio blinked, surprised at your interruption.
"But-"
"I said don't," you repeated, looking back down at your plate.
"I don't want to talk about it."
Ratio closed his mouth, clearly taken aback by your response.
He set his fork down, and you could see the frustration in his expression.
"How long are you going to keep ignoring the issue?" He asked, trying to keep his voice calm.
You let out a scoff, rolling your eyes.
You knew where he was going with this conversation.
"…You're not even giving me a chance to explain," Ratio said, his frustration growing.
"Yeah, because I don't want to hear it," you retorted, your tone becoming harsher.
"You're being completely unfair, you know that?" He said, his voice rising.
"You're just acting like a goddamn child."
"How long are you gonna keep holding this over my head?" You said.
You dropped the fork on the plate half empty.
Ratio let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair.
"Do you really want to carry this resentment forever?"
He leaned back in his chair, looking straight at you. "I'm sorry for what happened, okay? I already said it. What more do you want from me?"
You clenched your jaw, irritation building up inside of you.
"You're sorry?" You repeated back in a mocking tone.
Ratio slammed his own plate down on the coffee table, clearly losing his temper.
"I'm trying to fix this, but you won't even give me a chance!"
"Fix this?" You shot back, leaning forward on the couch. "You're the one who screwed up in the first place!"
"I know that," Ratio said through gritted teeth.
"And I apologized, didn't I?"
You stood up from the couch, your body filled with frustration.
"A very nice behavior of yours to be sorry!," you stated.
Ratio stood up from his chair too, his hands clenching into fists.
"Fine, I'll say it again. I'm sorry for what I did."
He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.
"I shouldn't have left you there alone. It was wrong of me. I wasn't thinking clearly. I was angry, and I took it out on you."
You stared at him.
"Oh, then you never think clearly?" You asked, your voice tinged with sarcasm.
"I said I was sorry!" Ratio exclaimed, his voice rising again.
"What more do you want from me? For me to grovel at your feet?"
You could see the anger and frustration in his eyes.
"Maybe some actual remorse and not just hollow apologies would be nice," you shot back.
Ratio's jaw tightened, and he took a step closer to you.
"You know what? I tried to be civil about this, but you're just acting like a spoiled brat. You're constantly playing the victim and never accepting any responsibility for your own actions."
You flinched at his words, feeling a pang of hurt in your chest.
"My own actions?" You echoed, your voice wavering.
"You're the one who put me in that situation in the first place. I was scared half to death, wondering if I was left to die there. And now, you have the audacity to pin all the blame on me?" Without even realizing it, you had started shouting.
You also approached him.
"Who the fuck do you think you are?" You spit, with one finger you pushed his chest as you spoke.
Ratio stumbled back a little, clearly not expecting your physical response.
He grabbed your wrist, holding it tightly. His grip was firm and bruising.
"Don't you dare talk to me like that, or I-"
He stopped in mid-sentence, his eyes locking with yours.
The tension in the room was palpable.
You didn't back down, staring back at him defiantly.
You moved your arm backwards, causing it to release your wrist.
"You don't give a lot of fear," you let go.
"All the time, every time we fight, you didn't fail once," you started, as you held the wrist you'd grabbed before.
"You were always looking for something to make me feel bad. Were you punishing me? Or what the fuck was all that, Veritas?"
Ratio took a step back, his anger now mixed with shock at your words.
"Is that what you thought?" He asked, his voice taking on a bitter tone. "You thought I was punishing you? That I was trying to make you feel bad?"
You made a grimace.
"Oh, do you want me to remind you ones of the latest?" You asked, without waiting for an answer from him.
"You leave me in the parking lot, you refuse to make me food when you know I can't, I can never tell you something important, you threw me out of the car in the middle of nowhere," you continued.
"And what a coincidence, right? It's always after we argue!"
Ratio's expression darkened as you listed off the incidents.
He seemed to be struggling with his own anger and trying to find the right words.
"Those were all mistakes, accidents," he said through gritted teeth.
"You make it sound like I did it on purpose."
You laughed bitterly.
"Accident?" You repeated, shaking your head.
"Then you're just careless, that's it? You just keep making these accidents, and I'm supposed to pretend it's all fine?"
Ratio winced, clearly feeling the weight of your words.
"I didn't say it was fine," he replied defensively.
You could see the tension in his shoulders.
"Yes, I made mistakes, and I hurt you. But I'm trying to apologize and fix things, and you're just wallowing in self-pity and refusing to give me a chance!"
You were taken aback by his tone.
You couldn't believe what you were hearing.
"Self-pity?" You repeated, feeling a sense of anger boiling within you.
"You're the one who's in denial here! You keep pretending like it's all my fault."
You stepped closer to him, your voice raising.
"You're trying to shift the blame on me instead of acknowledging your own actions!"
You were going to continue, but you felt something strange in your belly, which made you remember.
"I was so excited to tell you something I imagined would change our lives!" You started.
"And what did you say? 'No, not now, tomorrow'"
"You had me with that for weeks!"
Ratio's eyes widened at your words, his jaw clenched tightly.
"So that's what this is about?" He retorted, his voice bitter. "You got mad at me just because I didn't want to talk right that moment?"
He took a step closer to you, his figure towering over you.
"I was tired and stressed, and you were pestering me with something so trivial."
You felt a pang of hurt hearing him call your news trivial.
"Trivial?!!" You exclaimed, your eyes brimming with tears.
"I didn't think you'd be this self-centered, Veritas," You said, your voice wavering.
You took a deep breath, trying to keep your emotions in check.
"I can't believe I'm going to marry such a person,"
Ratio's expression flickered for a moment.
"You're seriously questioning our relationship because of these stupid fights?" He said, his voice rising in frustration. "Are you that eager to give up on us?"
He ran a hand through his hair, looking at you with a mixture of anger and desperation.
Seeing that you didn't respond, he felt like he was on the edge of a cliff.
"If that's what you want, go ahead!"
"I don't want to marry someone like you either," Now he was talking to try to defend his frustrating desire to cry that he had.
His words stung like a blade.
"Fine then!" you said, your voice shaking.
You held back tears, determined to maintain your composure.
"Maybe we shouldn't get—"
"Maybe we shouldn't get married at all?"
Ratio finished your sentence, his voice trembling slightly.
He clenched his jaw, trying to hide the turmoil of emotions inside him.
"Go on then," he said, "Say it."
You took a deep breath, trying to control the lump in your throat.
The room was filled with the weight of your words, and a suffocating silence fell between you two.
"Maybe we shouldn't—" You repeated it, but before you could complete the phrase, a stabbing pain was centered on your belly.
You immediately took your hand there, letting out a slight scream.
Ratio immediately reacted to your cry.
He was started by the sound you made, and any remaining anger in his eyes faded to concern.
You saw him coming up and talking to you, but you didn't hear him.
With fear and pain you brought your eyes down feeling blood go through your legs.
Now the tears that hadn't fallen before, were deliberately starting to fall down your face.
You couldn't even tell him that you were pregnant, because probably after this, you're no longer pregnant.
Ratio's eyes widened in shock and horror as he realized the situation.
He quickly wrapped his arms around you, guiding you to sit on the couch.
Panic and fear overwhelmed him as he saw the blood staining your trousers and the tears streaming down your face.
His hands trembled as he took out his phone, dialing a number with shaky fingers.
You looked up for a moment, it was as if your ears had been covered for a moment.
At any other moment you could have made fun of him, because after all he was entering the panic, when you were sure that he had witnessed many cases like this, because after all, he was a doctor.
You saw him talking on the phone as he started running around the apartment, grabbing the car keys.
You wish you could have laughed at that moment.
Ratio was now in a state of complete panic, but he had to maintain some composure to take care of you.
He ended the call with the emergency services, quickly returning to your side.
His hands trembled as he tried to reassure you, his voice cracking as he spoke.
"It's going to be okay," he repeated again and again, trying to calm both you and himself. After all, those were the only words you came to understand at that blurry moment.
You didn't know what you would do now, you didn't know what he would do now.
The only thing you knew at the time was that after this, you would hate your fiancé.

He’s Not Actually That Cool - Hobie Brown x Black! Reader pt. 2
Part 1 bonus bonus ii
Masterlist
Imagine Hobie, the undeniably coolest person in the Spider Society, is a virgin nerd with a big dick.
Tags: 18+, Hobie is a pathetic virgin loser, smut smutty smut smut, Cunnilingus
It was so fucking messy
When you fully sheathed him inside of you he let out a deep and long moan that you weren’t expecting. You let out some gasps of your own, which he thought were so cute he couldn’t help but to stare at your pleasured face in pure admiration.
“Oh…fuck.” He whispered
His cum had ran down his length when you sunk onto him creating a white pool on his stubble.
He loved watching you milk him as you rode.
He could have came right there when you wiped off the cum on his stomach with your finger and licked it all up.
Hobie couldn’t even speak. He was in pure awe at what he was seeing and feeling.
You were letting out quick whimpers with every rock, your slick making it too easy to slide up and down his shaft.
Hobie’s hands were at his side. He couldn’t do anything but stare dumbly at your body.
“Grab them,” you panted.
He looked into your eyes. “What?”
“Grab them,” you slowed down and reached for his hands putting one on each of your tits. You squeezed them for him.
Hobie bit his lip piercing looking you up down.
You put your hand on the back of the couch and rode faster. Hobie’s grunts were so deep that you could feel heat pool in your stomach from every breath.
His thumb rubbed across your nipple at some point making you gasp and stutter.
He gasped and let go of them. “You alright? Did I do something?”
You slowed and came to a stop, panting . Confused and sexually frustrated, you say exasperated, “Huh?”
“You shook a little, there,” he explained. “Thought I fucked up.”
“…that would have been an orgasm.”
“Oh.”
You sighed. Getting off of him you laughed, because what else could you do? He had so much to learn. How could someone so attractive be so awkward? It was cute, but it didn’t help with your libido.
You thought shit was sweet, but when Hobie’s still very erect dick slapped back into his stomach, he looked at you like you had betrayed him. ‘So this is how Naruto felt when Sasuke left the village…’
He didn’t know what got into him when he reached out and grabbed your arm to keep you from going any further. You looked back at him thoughtfully, and it made him nervous. He gulped, gathered all his courage, and stood up.
Hobie shed his pants from around his ankles and pressed the front of his body against yours. His hands grasped your waist as he leaned you backwards slightly to kiss you. You, albeit surprised, give in immediately wrapping your arms around his shoulders and neck. He leans over a bit more to grab your ass. He plays with it a little, then gives it a firm slap.
“Ah!” You yelp. You look at him in disbelief, only to see the brightest smile you had ever seen in him. He was clearly proud of himself for that.
“I didn’t say I wanted to stop.” You let him lead you to his bed room, his mouth on yours the moment the both of you enter. Hobie lays you down onto his bed and kneels down, his face right in front of your raised legs. He pulls your underwear off of you.
You were quiet, waiting to see what he would do. Your gaze made him nervous and his breath shook as he opened your legs and looked at your wet pussy. He froze.
“You okay?” You ask him.
He looks up at you and nods even though he looks as though he’s seen a ghost. His mouth is dry and there’s a pit in his stomach. He’s so scared of disappointing you and embarrassing himself.
“Are you sure?” You ask again, sitting up a bit.
“Yeah, I’m fine love.” He takes his palm and gently pushes you back down. Hobie leans over and gives you a sweet kiss. His hand roams your body, squeezing and grabbing whatever flesh he can. His hand goes down between your legs. Hobie lifts his head up to look at you. “Will you guide me?”
His heart was beating out of his chest as you took your hand and put it on his. He watched you pick his hand up and place it right on your clit, his dick throbbing when you let out the smallest moan.
You didn’t even have to tell him, he pressed his middle finger into it and began to rub in a circle. He was, however, going way too fast and you had to hold his arm. Frightened, he stopped and looked into your eyes. “Do it slowly, baby.” You told him.
He nodded and tried again. He felt an overwhelming sense of pride as he watched you completely relax into the bed and sigh in pure bliss. He doesn’t know what came over him, he leaned down and pressed his lips onto your nipple. He took a chance and licked it, doing it again when you moaned.
When he started sucking on your breast, you lifted your head up to speak to him. “Hobie,” you say breathlessly. He hums without stopping. “Finger me? Please?”
Hobie, his eyes closed and mouth still attached to your nipple, fulfills your request and slowly moves his finger from your clit to your hole. His finger slides right in. “Ohh…”
Hobie pumps his finger at a steady pace, praying to himself that it feels good to you. His prayers are answered when he feels your arm fall onto his back and your nails rake along it. His dick is leaking onto the bed. He wants to fuck you so badly, but he loves the way you sound when his tongue presses into your areola once again.
Without you having to ask, he puts in another finger loving the way you began clenching yourself around his fingers. He needed to feel it on his dick.
“Shit, Hobie. That feels so good.” Hobie unlatches his lips from your chest and looks upon your face. Your comment gave him butterflies and encouraged him to pump his fingers faster, his bed littered with splashes of your wetness.
“Yeah?” He asks kissing your cleavage.
“Yeah,” you moan.
“I bet my tongue feels better.” You gave him a challenging look, impressed by his pluck. He was impressed too, considering how fast his heart was racing.
“Let me see.” Hobie pulls his fingers out of you and sucks on them without breaking eye contact. He begins kissing down your body, stopping when he reaches your heat.
He’s glad you had guided him before, or he would have no clue where to put his tongue. He takes his fingers and pulls your lips apart, taking a moment to stare at your pretty pussy. He rubs his thumb in between the folds and you shudder. Without warning, Hobie replaces his finger with his tongue and gives one small lick hitting your clit at the last second.
“Mm,” you exclaim. He wastes no time diving in paying extra attention to the pink bud. He stays there for some time, just letting his tongue wipe over it over and over again. His eyes closed and brain fuzzy, all he could think about was how good you tasted.
Unbeknownst to him, your eyes had rolled into the back of your head. “Yes…” you whined. You were starting to believe he had done this before.
He enclosed his lips around it and sucks it a bit. Your hips start to rock into his face. You take your hands and grab his hair to push him into you further. He moans into your pussy and grabs your smooth thighs.
Part of his upper body was on the bed with your legs wrapping around his head. His brain is overwhelmed; he doesn’t know whether to eat you out until you cum in his mouth or stand up and just start fucking you. Instead, he presses his body against the side of the bed and humps it to relieve the throbbing in his dick.
“Ngh…ngh…ngh,” he whimpered as he licked and sucked. His grip on your legs gets tighter as he gets more intense with it. He starts swinging his head side to side, his lips and chin coated in your slick.
“Hobie…” you begin. He doesn’t respond, instead pulling you even closer to him. His brows are furrowed and he sounds as if he’s starving as his tongue continues to explore you. He starts panting too. His mind was clouded in pure lust.
“I-I’m…gonna…” Your words went unheard as Hobie was too focused on licking you dry. He moves his hand from your thigh to cup your ass, massaging it then giving it a small slap.
“Fuck, baby. I’m coming.” Your hips hump his face slowly. He lets his head bob up and down with the rhythm. He continues to slurp up as much cum as he can before standing up straight. He wipes the bottom of his face.
As he watches you catch your breath, he thinks about how beautiful you are, and always have been. His attraction to you was strong before, but now he’s completely smitten. The way your breasts move with each deep breath, your shaking legs, and flushed face, he doesn’t think he’ll ever be able to get enough.
“So it was good?” He asks, dumbly.
You give him that same confused look from before. “The hell do you think?”
He just gives you a toothy side grin. He spits into his hand and finally gives his dick some attention. He’s so hard, he moans when he grabs it and begins pumping. A glob of precum hits the floor. You lay down vertically on the bed to give the two of you space.
Hobie climbs over you without stopping with you lifting your legs. His nerves start to get the best of him again, and he pauses before putting it in.
You grab his face and look into his eyes. “It’s okay,” you reassure him. “We can go slow.”
He lets out a breath he was holding and nods. His eyes shift down to your lips and captures them in a quick, but passionate kiss. During which, he starts to insert himself inside of you.
“Fuck,” he said against your mouth. He stopped and almost didn’t want to go further. His breathing gets heavy as well as his eyelids.
“Everything alright?” You ask, sweetly.
Hobie gulps. “I don’t want to cum yet.”
You bit your lip to keep from giggling. Although you’ve laughed at him before, you don’t think he would appreciate this time around. Now that he was in your face, you can see how afraid he is of disappointing you.
He really wanted you to feel good. So far, he’s been succeeding, but…this was the most important part, right? The big finish? This is really the part that matters. He can’t fuck this up. He’s embarrassed himself too often now.
“Even if you do, it’s okay. We can always try again next time.” You comfort.
His big brown eyes light up. He has the ghost of a smile on his lips when he leans down and kissed you once more, picking up where the two of you left off.
As Hobie started to drag his dick in and out of your pussy, both of your moans were muffled by the other’s. Even when you gasped in ecstasy, he refused to let up from your mouth, sucking on your bottom lip instead.
“Oh my fucking god, Hobie,” You purred so beautifully after he let go of you lip. Your hands found their way to his back again, but instead of raking him you clawed at it slowly and desperately. He was going so much deeper than when you rode him, and the pace was agonizing. “Please go faster.”
Hobie was in no better condition. His mouth hung open as your wet warmth sucked him in. He felt as though he had to force himself out of you with each pull. At that point he wanted to hit your cervix and stay there to let you cockwarm him until he spills. But, when you said your desperate plea in your soft and pleasured voice, he just had to do whatever you wanted.
He nodded, still not able to conjure words to describe how he feels. Hobie starts to thrust steadily, burying himself inside you with each one. If he was any other asshole, he would think you liked it rough, but he prides himself on not listening to the crowd or following society’s rules. Probably why was a virgin until half an hour ago.
He told himself that for his first time, it would be better being a little embarrassed and swallowing his pride to ask her what she wants and take his time than to possibly hurt her. It seems that his philosophy was correct.
The sounds your bodies were making were loud and gross. There was a resounding squelch every second courtesy of you. It was even liquifying Hobie’s dried up cum that was caked on his crotch. The room becomes humid quickly. The two of you were panting and groaning into each other’s ears. Hobie used one hand to hold himself up and the other to grab your waist and squeeze your hips and ass.
Hobie was beside himself. He was incredibly horny and even more so, happy. What you told him made his heart swell. To know that you wanted to do this with him again despite his awkwardness was the best feeling in the world. He knew he would get better with every session. He couldn’t wait to see you on your knees agin.
Maybe next time you won’t be facing him. He’ll be behind you. Your ass hiked in the air and your head on his pillow. His hands pulling your cheeks back so he can watch his dick split you open. Then watch you make a white ring of cream on it. And then maybe he’ll let go of them and slap it so you can squeeze his dick. He would cum so fucking hard…
Oh shit.
“Unh, unh, unh, shit, baby,” he moans as his hot seed fills your pussy to the brim. It drips out of you even while he’s still inside. Soon after, you’re shaking and moaning too, your pussy clenching him just how he wanted. The feeling of him coming inside you being enough to tip you over the edge.
Hobie slips himself out of you, but before he gets up to get a warm and damp towel, he moves one of your legs to your chest and puts his hand on your ass. He takes his thumb to move your lip to the side getting a better look at his cum dripping out of you.
A sense of possession rushes over him. He doesn’t want anyone else to see you like this. He doesn’t want to see anyone else like this.
He leans over and kisses your sticky forehead, walking to his bathroom without bothering to get any clothes. When he comes back you’re half awake, your eyes opening and closing.
“Don’t nod off on me just yet, babe.” He speaks lowly. You hum in response. He starts to clean you and the bed off leaving a wet spot, but it’s nothing he can’t handle. He also wipes himself off with the same towel, throwing it in the dirty laundry bin when it’s all said and done.
Hobie climbs into bed next to you wraps his blanket around your bodies. You snuggle into his warmth, ready to fall asleep any second now.
“That was really good, by the way,” you told him, your voice woozy.
“Really?” You nod. “I’ll do even better for you next time.”
“Such a gentleman.” Hobie turns onto his side to wrap his arm around your torso giving you a quick peck on your lips. You gave him a tired smile. “Did you keep me awake so we could fall asleep together?”
He blinks. “Huh? No.”
You blink back. “…then why?”
“You have this youtuber where you're from that you really like named Ken or Cory or whatever, right?”
Your eyes look to different directions as you tried to identify who he was talking about. "Cory x Kenshin?"
"Yeah, him." He sat up on his elbow. "Miles was telling me that in his universe, he was in the trailer for a new FNAF movie," he says excitedly.
Is he…is he for real right now?
You sigh and turn around forcing him to face your back instead. “Where you going?”
“I’m not dealing with you right now. I’m asleep.”
“I didn't even get to ask my question.” Silence. “So you know what I'm talking about?” More silence. “I wanted to know if you wanted to watch it with us. I thought it would be cool.”
“…I guess."
“Nice." He falls onto his back pleased. “The guy who’s playing William, though, he looks proper friendly. Someone you would least expect to murder kids, yeah? Seems like a good casting choice to me. Miles says he's a good actor. I just hope they got Michael-” Snore.
“You’re pulling my leg aren’t you?” Snore.
He chuckled to himself. “Alright, beautiful. You win.” He doesn’t see your smile as he spoons you and the both of you quickly fall asleep, hoping that when you woke up, you would still be in his arms…
And y’all could go for round 2
I hope that satisfied y’all lil freak asses. Miiiiiight do something else with these two in the future idk chile. I like virgin nerd Hobie. I definitely could have made him way more pathetic but I didn’t want him to be too OOC, y’know?
Please check out my other two Hobie fics and I have one for Miguel if you’re into him! I also have a small imagine where Miles meets Beyonce's spidersona if you think that would be cute okay Byeeeee!!

logan howlett- a royal tea party
Tumblr media
summary: you and logan spend the day babysitting your niece
logan x fem!reader with a smidge of wade x reader
warnings: cursing
word count: 2372
....
It was a bright, sunny morning when your phone buzzed with an urgent call from your cousin.
Her voice, usually calm and collected, was frantic this time.
"The babysitter just canceled on me!" she blurted out before you could even say hello. "I don’t know what to do! I need someone to watch Emma—can you please help?"
You could picture your cousin pacing in a mild panic, but instead of feeling worried, you couldn’t help but smile. The thought of spending time with your lively, giggly four-year-old niece was an easy yes.
“Of course, I’ll watch her,” you replied warmly, already imagining Emma’s excited face when she saw you.
She was adorable, with her chestnut hair always tied into playful pigtails, each one neatly fastened with matching pink bows. And she had the cutest little smile with a little gap in between her front teeth.
“Oh my god thank you so much, you’re such a lifesaver,” your cousin gushed as you laughed.
As you hung up the phone, you glanced over at the living room where Deadpool was lounging on the couch, munching on a bowl of Lucky Charms.
He looked up, raising an eyebrow as he crunched loudly.
"Babysitting duty today, huh?" he quipped, his voice dripping with mock sympathy.
“Good luck with that, kid. Tiny humans are way scarier than anything I’ve faced.”
You rolled your eyes but couldn’t suppress a grin.
Before you could respond, you felt a familiar presence behind you. Logan’s deep voice broke the moment. “Need some help with the kid?”
You turned to see him standing there, his rugged face softening just slightly as he met your gaze.
"I think I’ve got it," you replied, leaning in for a quick kiss. "But it might be fun to see you wrangle a four-year-old."
Logan smirked, his blue eyes gleaming with amusement. "I’ve faced worse."
"Yeah, like sharing a house with Deadpool," you teased.
"Hey, I heard that!" Deadpool shouted from the other room, waving his spoon in mock outrage. “You two would be lost without my sparkling personality.”
Before you could fire back with a retort, the doorbell rang, pulling your attention away.
Your heart skipped with excitement as you practically bounced to the door, eager to see your niece.
When you opened the door, there stood Emma dressed head to toe in a poofy purple princess gown. She had a sparkly tiara perched on her head and a glittery pink wand clutched in one hand and a small toy box in the other. Her eyes lit up when she saw you, and she twirled in place, showing off her dress with a proud little grin.
“Auntie, look! I’m a princess today!” she announced, her voice brimming with joy.
You couldn’t help but grin back.
“You look absolutely perfect, Your Royal Highness,” you said, giving her a playful bow.
She giggled, clearly loving the attention, before running inside, her dress puffing out around her as she moved. Deadpool peeked his head out from the living room, eyes widening as he spotted her.
“Well who is this little ray of sunshine,” Wade said, abandoning his bowl of cereal and skipping over to your niece who gave him a little smile.
“Prepare yourself, young lady, for the greatest adventure of your day!” he declared with a flourish.
Just as he said that his phone started buzzing.
Deadpool glanced at it, his face dropping into an exaggerated frown of resignation.
“Looks like the universe demands my immediate attention,” he said dramatically, picking up his phone and reading the screen. “Vanessa’s having a crisis, and apparently, only I can save the day.”
Emma’s face fell a little at the thought of losing her new friend. “But… I wanted to play!”
Deadpool knelt to her level, giving her a sympathetic look.
“I know, princess. But fear not! I shall return. In the meantime, you’ll have to make do with this mere mortal and the very grumpy Wolverine.”
He shot Logan a playful glance. Logan just raised an eyebrow but remained silent, his arms crossed as he watched the exchange.
“Alright, little one,” Deadpool said, giving Emma a gentle pat on the head. “You’re in good hands. Don’t let this place get too boring while I’m gone!”
With that, he dashed out of the house, his departure as dramatic as his entrance.
As the door closed behind him, Logan sighed and moved to sit on the couch, a faint smirk tugging at his lips as he looked at you. “Well, looks like it’s just the three of us now.”
Emma tugged on your sleeve, looking up at you with big eyes.
“Auntie, I’m hungry! Can we have lunch?”
“Of course, sweetheart,” you replied, glancing at Logan. “How about you keep Wolverine entertained while I whip up something special?”
Emma’s eyes sparkled with mischief as she grabbed Logan’s hand and led him toward the toy box she brought.
Logan followed with a slightly apprehensive expression, looking back at you for help while you held back a laugh.
“Come on, Wolverine! We’re going to have a tea party!” Emma announced, her voice filled with anticipation.
Logan, sitting down on the floor next to her, looked unsure. He picked up a tiny plastic tea cup and held it awkwardly.
Emma, blissfully oblivious to his nervousness, was already setting up her tea party with a mix of stuffed animals, dolls, and plastic dishes.
As you cooked Emma’s favorite mac and cheese, the delicious smell of cheese and pasta filled the kitchen.
From the living room, you could hear Emma’s excited chatter and the clink of plastic tea cups, along with Logan’s good-natured but slightly unsure replies.
Peeking into the living room, you saw Emma sitting cross-legged on a blanket, surrounded by her stuffed animals.
Logan was next to her, still looking a bit unsure.
He was trying his best to mimic Emma’s actions with a mix of seriousness and curiosity.
The girl poured imaginary tea into Logan’s cup, and he took a careful, exaggerated sip, playing along with a grin.
“Thank you for the tea, Mr. Wolverine,” Emma said, giving a little curtsy and smiling brightly.
Logan managed a shy but genuine smile. “You’re welcome, Princess Emma. This is definitely the best tea party I’ve ever attended.”
Emma beamed and handed Logan a plate of plastic cookies with a flourish. Logan took the plate with a polite nod and pretended to take a bite.
Emma giggled at his effort, clearly delighted by his participation.
Suddenly, Emma’s eyes lit up with an idea. She carefully removed her sparkly tiara and placed it on Logan’s head. “Now you’re a royal knight!” she declared with pride.
Logan looked a bit surprised but played along, adjusting the tiara with a small, amused smile.
Just then, as Logan reached for another imaginary cookie, the plastic teacup wobbled and fell to the floor with a soft clink.
Emma’s eyes widened, and she burst into uncontrollable laughter. She rolled on the floor, her giggles filling the room and making her cheeks flush pink.
Logan glanced down at the fallen cup, then back at Emma, who was laughing so hard she could barely breathe.
After a moment, he couldn’t help but smile, shaking his head with a laugh.
“Looks like I’ve made quite the mess at this tea party.”
Emma, still laughing, managed to say, “You made it even funnier, Mr. Wolverine!”
As you walked into the room, carrying a tray of mac and cheese, you saw Logan wearing the tiara and Emma rolling on the floor with laughter.
You couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Wow, I could get used to this sight,” you said with a grin, bending down to press a kiss to your partner’s cheek.
Logan shook his head good-naturedly.
“Guess I’m officially part of the royal court now.”
Emma clapped her hands, delighted by your reaction. “And you look perfect!”
As you finished setting the table, the mouthwatering smell of mac and cheese filled the air. When you brought the steaming dish to the table, Emma’s eyes lit up with excitement.
“Yummy! Mac and cheese!” she exclaimed, eagerly scrambling off the blanket and rushing to her seat.
As you all sat down to eat, Emma chattered excitedly about her tea party.
Despite his initial nerves, Logan quickly warmed up, asking your niece about her imaginary kingdom and getting into the play with genuine enthusiasm.
“You know,” you said to Logan as you scooped some mac and cheese onto Emma’s plate, “seeing you play along like this with Emma, I can’t help but think about how amazing you’d be with our future kids.”
Logan looked up, his expression softening. “You think so?”
“Oh I know so,” you replied, giving his hand an affectionate squeeze.
Logan responded by bringing your hand to his lips, causing Emma to let out an exaggerated squeal.
“Eww, no kissing!” she said, scrunching up her nose.
Logan chuckled, pulling back with a mock pout.
“Alright, no kissing,” he said, giving Emma a playful wink. “But you have to admit, I’m pretty good at this tea party thing.”
Emma giggled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “You’re the best knight ever!”
The doorbell rang suddenly, causing everyone to turn their heads.
You went to answer it, and moments later, Deadpool burst back into the room. He froze mid-step when he saw Logan sitting there with Emma’s sparkly tiara perched on his head.
“Holy chimichangas, what’s this?” Deadpool exclaimed, his eyes widening in exaggerated disbelief. “Logan, is that a tiara on your head? Did you lose a bet or something?”
Logan looked up, clearly irritated, but trying to keep his cool. “You’re lucky Emma’s here otherwise I’d beat the shit out of you,” he said through gritted teeth as you put your hands on the little girl’s ears for the last part.
Deadpool laughed, dramatically holding his hands up in surrender.
“Okay, okay! I’ll stop teasing. But I have to admit, you’re really rocking that tiara,” he said, blowing a kiss at him and making your boyfriend roll his eyes.
Emma giggled at the playful banter, clearly delighted by the attention. “Mr. Wolverine looks so funny!”
Logan shook his head with a smirk. “Yeah, yeah. Just don’t expect me to wear this every day.”
As you all finished lunch and chatted, the room was filled with warmth and laughter.
When it was time for Emma to head home, she gave everyone a big hug.
But as her mom arrived to pick her up, Emma’s smile began to waver. She looked up at Logan with big, pleading eyes. “Can’t I stay a little longer? I want to play more with Mr. Wolverine.”
Logan’s expression softened, and he crouched down to her level.
“I’m sorry, princess, but it’s time for you to go home. But we’ll have another tea party soon, okay?”
Emma’s lower lip trembled, and she burst into tears. “But I don’t want to go! I want to stay with Mr. Wolverine!”
You quickly knelt beside her, gently rubbing her back. “I know, sweetie. I promise we’ll plan another playdate very soon. You had such a great time today, didn’t you?”
Emma sniffled, nodding reluctantly. “Okay...”
“Hey, don’t worry, kiddo. Next time, I’ll join in the fun too, and I promise not to embarrass Mr. Wolverine too much. Or at least, not more than he embarrasses himself.”
Emma managed a small smile through her tears. “Really? You won’t make fun of Mr. Wolverine?”
“Only if he’s wearing something less fabulous than this tiara!” Deadpool joked, pointing to Logan’s head. “I mean, look at that sparkle. How could I possibly top that?”
Emma managed a small smile through her tears, and with one last hug for Logan and you, she left with her mom.
As the door closed behind them, you looked at Logan, who was still wearing the tiara with a fond smile.
“You know,” you said, stepping closer and adjusting the tiara slightly, “You really nailed the royal knight look today.”
Logan chuckled, tipping the tiara playfully. “Yeah, well, I guess it’s not every day I get to be the guest of honor at a tea party.”
Wade grinned from ear to ear sauntering over your way.
“I gotta say, peanut, you’ve set the bar pretty high. I mean, the tiara, the tea party etiquette—it’s like you were born for this.”
Logan’s eye twitched slightly. “Wade, if you don’t shut up, I’m gonna show you exactly what I was born for.”
Deadpool threw his hands up in surrender, still grinning like a Cheshire cat.
“Alright, alright! No need for violence, big guy. I’m just saying, the whole tea-party-knight-in-shining-armor thing is really your hidden talent. You should lean into it more often.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, watching Logan trying to hold onto his patience. “You’re just jealous, Wade,” you said, giving Logan a supportive nudge. “Logan actually knows how to keep a princess happy.”
Wade scoffed in mock indignation. “Please, I’d be the best tea party guest ever. I’d bring the snacks, the party games, and maybe a little bit of chaos. You know, just to keep things interesting.”
Logan groaned, finally yanking the tiara off his head and tossing it onto the couch. “I’ve had enough of your kind of ‘interesting,’ Wade. You’re on thin ice.”
Deadpool grinned wider, clearly enjoying every second of Logan’s irritation.
“You know you love me,” He raised his hands and shaped them into a heart, batting his eyelashes in exaggerated sweetness.
“Keep telling yourself that,” Logan muttered, though a small, reluctant smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.
You shook your head, trying to suppress your laughter as Wade wiggled his eyebrows at Logan. “Face it, Logan,” you teased, “you’re stuck with us.”
Logan’s gaze softened as he looked at you.
“Yeah, I guess I am,” he said, his voice tinged with fondness.
Then, with a sideways glance at Wade, he added, “Though I could do with a little less chatter from some people.”
Wade threw his hands up in a dramatic shrug.
“Hey, I’m just here to add spice to your otherwise dull existence. Admit it, you’d miss me if I were gone.”
Logan’s smirk grew as he leaned back into the couch, pulling you closer.
“Don’t push your luck, Wade.”

Hughes Your Daddy pt.2 - Jack Hugges
Tumblr media
wow.
It took longer than expected, but you should all be thankful because I was going to quit this blog, but I didn't give up
tell me how proud you are and how much you love it. pls & thx
Anyway, enjoy ❤️
w.c: 2,754 (credit to gif maker) (don't steal my work)
The crisp 100-dollar bill you’ve just won sits nicely tucked in your back pocket as Jack breaks the world record for sprinting and dodging almost a million cameras to get to you. As soon as he crashes into your waiting arms, he lifts you into the air and lets out a breathy laugh in your ear that’s only reserved when you’re with him. It’s light, happy, and maybe even a little giddy.
After a moment of you being suspended in the air, he gently sets you down, giving you one last tight squeeze, then backs up to see your face.
“Did I embarrass you?”
You give him a slight smirk and shrug your shoulders. “You did okay.”
He playfully rolls his eyes, shaking his head at you as he moves on to hug his waiting parents. With his attention away from you, you survey the space and catch sight of the other Hughes brothers walking toward the group.
Luke is doing his little half smile and has a slight pep in his step that comes with a nice win, and Quinn looks about unbothered with everything as usual. You make a mental note of that, knowing that your evil boyfriend is going to push his buttons later to get any sort of reaction to his loss.
“Nice game, Lukey,” you pull him into a hug as he gets within distance, patting his arm as you pull away. “You’re kinda being a stud out there.”
Luke blushes a shade darker at your comment, and you can’t help but love knowing you can still get a rise out of him. Luke moves on, too, and you’re left facing the only Hughes brother who didn’t have a win tonight.
“Tough loss cap.” You hug Quinn tightly before glancing back at your boyfriend and leaning in slightly to whisper in his ear. “But we all know you’re still the best.”
Quinn gives you a small laugh, and you can see his head is held a little higher as you pull him to join the circle with the rest of the family. As soon as you do, Jack opens his smart mouth.
“Family circles are for winners only.”
As soon as the words leave his lips, Ellen hisses his name, and you pinch the back of his arm as hard as you can.
“Ow,” he yelps at you, rubbing his arm. “What was that for?”
You give him a look that tells him exactly what that was for, to which he rolls his eyes at you.
“He knows it’s in good fun,” Jack says. “Right Q?”
This time, Quinn rolls his eyes but nonetheless nods his head.
The group chats about the game for a couple of minutes before unanimously deciding that family dinner is a must, and then you’ll head back to Quinn’s place for one last night altogether. As soon as the decision is made, you beeline to follow when Jack holds you back for a second.
“Dinner, just you and me, okay?” He all but pleads, pulling you toward him.
You glance back at his family walking away, seemingly unaware you two fell behind.
“They want to see you too, J.”
He grabs your hands and pulls even closer, leaving no room for any personal space. “They don’t care that much, and I haven’t had a second alone with you.”
His point is fair, but you also are torn by the fact that it isn’t very often that all three brothers are together.
“C’mon (Y/N). The winner should get a reward dinner right?”
You raise your eyebrow at him. “Then shouldn’t we invite Luke?”
He snorts at your comment and shakes his head.
“Please, I did the heavy lifting.”
Twenty minutes later, you’re at a nice restaurant in downtown Vancouver. It’s big yet cozy and has low lighting, making it slightly romantic. You’re impressed with Jack's pick, but you also know deep in your heart he probably asked Quinn for his recommendations.
Your reserved table is in a cozy little corner, and a bottle of wine is sitting out, ready to be poured. You’re beyond happy with the setup, but you can’t help but feel a little underdressed as you both walk toward your seats. Jack has his game-day suit, but you’re still clad in a red and black jersey with the number eighty-six plastered across the back.
“This is wonderful, J, but you couldn’t warn me to wear something a little nicer.”
He pulls out the chair for you before you sit down, and as he crosses to the seat directly opposite you, he laughs.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” He smirks. “This is my favorite outfit for you to be in.”
You roll your eyes as far back as possible but let it go. You are proud to be his girlfriend, and you allow him to have this little ego boost for one evening.
You spend the next hour talking about everything and nothing, and when the bill comes, Jack hands over his card, and you two pack up the leftovers you have, knowing Luke will destroy them once you get back to the house.
Once the card returns, you head out into the chill Vancouver night with Jack's arms wrapped around your waist. The walk to the car is short and filled with your usual light banter. As soon as you're within the view of the car, you go to swat away Jack's arm when he gets a little too handsy, but not before your boyfriend reaches into your back pocket and pulls out the hundred dollar bill that was safely hidden.
He eyes the bill with curiosity and darts his eyes back and forth between you and the bill for a few seconds.
“What this?”
“Cash?” You deadpan, moving to snatch the bill away, but he holds it out of your grip.
“You never carry cash.” He narrows his eyes slightly, then a dawning look crosses his face.
“This is the fourth hundred I’ve found in your pocket after a game with my brothers.”
You give him a surprised look but shake your head no.
“It’s just a coincidence, Jack.”
He passes you back the bill, but let’s put a low whistle. “Twice is a coincidence. Four times is a pattern.”
Before you can open the passenger door to the car, Jack blocks his body with it, tilting his head to the side and eyeing you up and down.
“You wanna know how I think you’re getting the money?”
You let out a puff of air, wishing he’d drop it, but you also know your boyfriend, and he will never let it go.
“Sure.” You take a step closer to him. “Let’s hear your theory.”
He smirks again and leans toward you as if he’s going to tell you a secret.
“I think you’re betting with my dad.”
You freeze when he speaks and must admit he’s smarter than he looks. You want to deny the accusation, but you simply shrug your shoulders and lean away from him.
“An excellent theory, J, but alas, it’s none of your business.”
You meet his stare, lean into him to kiss him on the cheek, and then body-check him from the side, and he stumbles just enough to allow you to climb into the passenger seat.
He heads to the driver a second later, and when he climbs in, the conversation is merely forgotten. You go back into talking about everything you’ve missed in each other's lives until you pull into the familiar driveway.
The house is decently quiet when you walk in, and when you round into the dining room, you see Luke and Quinn on opposite sides of the table, a checkerboard between them. Luke is stressed, chewing slightly on his hand, and across from him, Quinn sits with a smug smile and a stack of chips next to him.
“C'mon Lu, you’re better than this.” You say, gently patting his shoulder as you bring the leftovers to the fridge.
He huffs and glares at Quinn. “I am better, and I think he’s cheating somehow.”
Jack pipes up from behind you. “How can you cheat at checkers?”
Luke huffs again and mutters a quiet “he’s finding a way” under his breath, returning his attention to the board.
Jack crosses the room and sits down next to Luke, saying he’s playing the next round to defeat Quinn for the second time that night, and as soon as he takes his attention off you, you beeline to the living room in hopes of finding your gambling partner.
You find Jim and Ellen in the living room, and when you enter, they’re beyond excited to see you. You sit on the opposite chair and lean over to them both, whispering so the boy in the other room won’t hear you.
“Jack is onto us.”
Jim gives you a confused look.
“He knows about the betting.”
Ellen lets a giant laugh bubble past her lips, and soon enough, you’re all laughing about the situation.
“Out of all of them to figure it out,” Jim says, shaking his head.
You smile at them both, telling them how the secret came out, and in the end, they shrug it off.
“Just because he knows doesn’t mean we should stop. If anything, maybe it will be more of an incentive.”
You smile ear to ear and relax back into the chair, knowing that the little game won’t end, even if the boys know about it. You settle back into casual conversation for a while before you hear some commotion from the dining room, and Ellen gives you a knowing look.
You walk swiftly back into the dining where the chaos is, and when you enter, you see Quinn sitting calmly with his arms crossed and Jack standing in front of him, surrounded by all the tiny checker pieces with the board flipped upside down.
You can’t stifle your laughter, and you high-five Quinn across the table as Jack turns to you with a cold stare.
“You two can laugh all you want. I still won the actual game tonight.”
Quinn shrugs his shoulders at Jack. “Well, I just won the game that clearly matters more. So who’s the real winner tonight.”
Quinn throws you a wink as he begins cleaning up the pieces on the floor, and Jack follows suit, angrily putting them into the little pouch they came in.
You watch them clean up the game and go to stand by Luke, who’s eating your leftovers and quietly watching the scene unfold in front of him.
“Did you just stand here the whole time?” You ask.
He takes another large bite. “I enjoyed the show.”
You knock your shoulder against him, and a few minutes later, all the games are put away, and you all decide to join the parents in the living room. There, you watch a few episodes of The Office under Jack's hold, and soon enough, you find yourself dozing off in the comfortable position and extra body heat.
You're not sure how long you're asleep until you wake up hearing some shuffling around you. You open your eyes and see that Ellen and Jim have already left, and Luke and Quinn are moving around, getting ready also to leave the shared space. Quinn folds up a blanket and places it on the couch when you quietly whisper at him.
“Is he asleep?” You ask, referring to the boy behind you who’s gripped has softened a bit and whose breath has gone steady.
Quinn nods and whispers back a goodnight, leaving you and Jack alone in the living room. You’re perfectly content to stay on the coach, but that doesn’t last until you feel Jack move behind you.
“What time is it?” He mutters.
You look around for your phone, and when you click on the screen, it reads about half an hour before midnight. You show him the screen, and he hums.
“Wanna go to bed?”
You nod, slinging your legs to the side and getting up. Your muscles are stiff, and you stretch them out as Jack follows close behind you to the shared bedroom you've been occupying this weekend.
As you are busy getting ready for bed, Jack joins you in your domestic bliss, washing your face together and brushing your teeth. You can’t help but smile into the toothpaste because every time you go to stare at him, he’s already looking at you, and a blush creeps into his cheeks when he gets caught.
You finish up, climbing into your pajamas, and when you walk back into the room, Jack is already under the covers, looking at his phone. As soon as he notices you, he tosses the device away and lifts the sheets, patting the space beside him.
You crawl in, and within a moment, his arms wrap securely around you, and you’re pulled to his chest. All the stress of finals, flying back and forth, and life in general melt away, and for the first time in a long while, you know you’ll get the best sleep tonight.
You settle in even deeper into Jack's hold, reading yourself to enter the dreamland until you’re slightly brought back when he gently taps your arm three times, your relationship code to see if you’re still awake.
“Yeah?” You ask, flipping over to face him in the darkness.
“I just have a question.” He whispers
You wait for him to ask, and after a second passes, he does.
“Of course, I’m not mad or anything. You betting with my dad is the funniest thing ever. But one thing is bugging me.”
You gently rub his arm, and he continues.
“How did you win?” His voice is soft. “Did you bet on us winning even though we haven’t been playing the best? Or was it something else? Do you switch teams? Or how do you decide which team you bet on?”
He throws so many questions at you that you silence him with a light kiss pressed to his lips. It effectively shuts him up, and he stays quiet until you answer.
You take a minute to speak on purpose, wanting to make him wait, but you know that his wheels are turning, and he honestly doesn’t know your secret to success, and you know you have to tell him.
It’s never a question when you’re betting with Jim; you always pick with your heart, and you’re rarely wrong, and even when you are, you’re still correct with the outcome, and you wouldn’t change it for the world.
“I never have to decide.” You press another kiss to his lips. “I always bet on you.”

Other Forms of Stimulation (Gale x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary// After a fight in the Shadowlands that very nearly takes your life, you realize just what Gale meant when he mentioned that book about brushes with death.
(I am so down bad for this wizard and I had to write this. It has been a while since I’ve written so I hope you all like it!! I’d love to write more if anyone is interested but for now, enjoy this :)! Also, while this is in second person, the name used for you is Tav!)
WARNINGS: 18+, smut, talks of almost dying
As your sword cuts across the last of the shadow entities you stumble to the ground, your knees aching as you take in a deep breath. The only sound you can hear is your heartbeat as it thrums in your ears, your mind racing to catch up with what had just happened.
It had been an ambush that, thanks to the curse, you couldn’t have even perceived coming. You and your friends were already weak after the fight with the cursed drider and his group of cultists so the last thing you were prepared for was something like this on your way back to camp.
However, your group had made you proud as they battled the shadows fiercely. Karlach and her great axe, Gale and his magic, and even Astarion was kicking misty ass with his longbow. It would have been over within minutes if you had been more on guard, if you had realized just how far you had gotten from your friends while fighting.
A cold chill, like a kiss of death, had raced up your spine as you felt one of the wicked creatures wrap its hand around your ankle, knocking you prone and dragging you into the darkness. The scream you had let out could’ve woken the dead as you dug your nails into the rocky earth, scrambling for anything to hold onto.
Darkness wrapped around you within seconds, your mind screaming in pain as you felt this dark energy seep into your lungs and heart. It only lasted seconds at most before Gale had saved you, a gigantic fireball lighting up the sky, but to you, it felt like hours.
The warm hand that had pulled you back to the light was your lifeline, your words dying in your throat as you looked up at Gale who was surveying you for any damages. He had been so focused that he forgot about the fight, forgot about everything that wasn’t you, but you saw one of the wretched creatures coming towards him with its claws raised.
That was when you had leaped forward, using the last of your adrenaline rush to throw Gale back behind you and cleave the beast in two. It had let out an inhumane screech, turning into a vestige before your eyes.
Now, as reality comes back to you, so does the realization of just how close to death you had been. You turn to examine the damage, seeing your companions in various stages of exhaustion. Astarion was leaning on Karlach who was leaning on her axe, both of them complaining about wanting to go to bed which made you smile. When you turned to look at Gale you saw him watching you with a mixture of awe and concern, strands of hair stuck to his forehead.
Your eyes locked together, the tension from the past few weeks of adventuring and the fight coming to a head as you saw him move his gaze from your face to the rest of your body.
It could have been an innocent survey to see if you were hurt but when you saw the color of his cheeks and the way he licked his lips you knew it was something much more darker. Lustful, even. “I, um, once read a book that explained in some detail the effect the brush of danger has on one’s desires for uh…other forms of stimulation. Have you ever read anything on that subject?”
Gale’s earlier flirtation came to the forefront of your mind as the world seemed to close in on the two of you. While you were absorbed in your thoughts, Karlach and Astarion seemed to catch on to what was about to happen. Or, Astarion did at least.
“Come now Karlach, camp’s just up ahead and I don’t want to be here to hear their pathetic humping in the bushes.” The vampire snarked, his smirk growing when you sent him a warning glare. Karlach gave you and the wizard her own knowing smile, wiggling her eyebrows, before dragging Astarion away towards the nearby campfire.
“I, um, want to thank you for-” Gale began, stepping closer to you only to grunt in surprise when you all but grabbed him by the collar and went to a nearby tree, thankful for the brazier that was lit close by. “What are you doing?!”
“Thanking you for saving my life…and showing you how much I know about that book you mentioned earlier,” You smiled, pressing him up against the bark before pulling back slightly. “That is, if you want me to. I thought you were flirting earlier but if you were just going on another rant I am so sorry-”
He silenced you with a heated kiss, his soft hands coming up to cup your face gently as he spun the two of you around so that now your back was against the tree. “Hush now,” Gale murmured, his eyes dark as he slipped a hand up your blouse. “You’re talking too much.”
“That’s rich coming from you-ah!” You gasped, back arching as deft fingers went under your bra to palm at your nipples. It felt incredible. “Gods, Gale, more please.”
Gale hummed to himself, helping you rid yourself of your top and maneuvering your pants to sit around your ankles. It had been years since he had taken a mortal lover but he had been head over heels for you for a while. He intended to prove himself worthy to you. Worthy of saving you.
Worthy of you.
You pulled him from his thoughts with another kiss, this one rougher than the last. The adrenaline seemed to be wearing off but somehow the desire was only increasing. He groaned low in his throat when your tongue brushed against his, tasting the uniqueness of you before he pried himself away. A whine grew in your chest but it was cut off when you saw him sink to his knees, his large hands resting on either of your thighs.
“Gale, I…” You trailed off as you watched him through your lashes. “What are you doing?” His gaze was intense as he tugged your pants the rest of the way down along with your underwear, settling himself between your legs as his lips turned up in a wicked smirk.
“Thanking you for saving my life.” He echoed your earlier statement, his brown eyes twinkling with amusement before he trailed a single finger down your sex. You let out a huff of air when he brushed your clit, blushing as he felt just how slick you were as he whispered, “By the weave, Tav, you’re dripping.”
A whine builds in your throat once more as he continues his ministrations. He gently dips two fingers into your aching cunt, his own groan covering another one of your cries from just how tightly you grip his fingers. You can’t stop from bucking your hips forward towards him, silently begging him for more stimulation.
“Such impatience.” He chides playfully though you can see how ragged his breathing has gotten.
“Perhaps you should hurry up then, wizard.” You say through clenched teeth, your eyes fluttering close as he bristles at your challenge and suddenly buries himself between your legs, licking a long stripe up your pussy. It was divine. “Fuck, yes!”
Gale’s tongue sets a pace that immediately has your thighs shaking, your hands flying into his chestnut hair as he shows you just how talented his tongue can be outside of spellcasting. You had lovers in the past who would taste you, some hesitant and some enthusiastic, but none of them even came close to the man beneath you.
His nose bumps against your clit with each fervent lick, savoring the taste like he was a man starving. You raise one of your hands over your head, the other still fists in Gale’s hair, and start to roll your hips in time with his tongue. He moans into your cunt, his fingers digging into your thighs until you are they are going to leave bruises.
“Please, Gale, gods it feels so good,” You whimper, voice an octave higher as he finally seals his lips around your clit and sucks. “Ah!”
“That’s it, love, take what you need.” He growls, worshipping your pretty pussy as one of his hands rustles under his clothes to rub against his aching cock. It was already hard and leaking, a stain on the front of his pants that he was sure he would be embarrassed about later.
Your ears perk up at the schlik sound, your head dropping to watch as he fisted himself while eating you out. His eyes found yours, watching you in adoration, which made your hips increase in desperation. At some point you had hooked one of your legs over his shoulder, grinding deeper into his face to the point you were afraid you would smother him.
Not that you think he would mind that.
A fire starts to brew in your stomach as he holds your gaze, his own hips rutting up in a desperate attempt to find release. You can feel yourself on the edge as he starts flicking your clit with the tip of his tongue, the sounds positively sinful. And just as you find yourself tipping over into the pleasurable abyss of Gale’s tongue, your defenses come down and your tadpole greedily reaches out to his.
He flinches at first, his pace stuttering as he sees himself through your eyes. The desperate look in his eyes, the way the entire bottom half of his face is covered in your arousal as he fucks himself needily into his hand. Gale could practically feel your pleasure through the link and it spurs on his own orgasm.
You feel your voice grow hoarse from your screams of pleasure, not caring that the camp could hear as Gale continued to take everything you gave him. For a moment you swore you could see the orb in his chest pulse with untamed magic, could feel an electric current pulse through your veins right before he pulled away with a gasp of air.
Gale smiles up at you as you sag into the tree. He takes in your disheveled appearance, from your hair to your slick-covered thighs, and ingrains the vision into his memory. You have never looked more beautiful.
“I should,” You begin, chuckling when it takes you a moment to catch your breath. “I should save your life more often if that is my reward.”
“You don’t have to do anything quite so grave for us to do this again, Tav.” He murmurs, watching as you sink to your knees to join him on the ground. “I would gladly spend eternity between your thighs if you asked me. It is better than any heaven promised to me by the gods.”
Your lips turn up in a wicked smirk as you take his cum covered hand and bring it to your mouth, sucking the digits clean as you make sure to keep eye contact. Gale tenses, his mouth parting as you bat your eyelashes innocently.
“I might take you up on that offer but first…” You trail off, pulling him closer so that your lips brush his cheek. “We have to face Astarion’s teasing.”
A loud laugh escapes his chest as he shakes his head at your teasing, cupping your face and kissing you tenderly. The taste of your and his cum mingles pleasantly on his tongue and he has to stop himself from deepening the kiss.
“A small price to pay.” He smiles, standing up and holding his hand out for you. “Come, let’s show him exactly what a pleased woman looks like.”

Hi, I wanted to make a request about Luffy x female reader. The reader is feminine but clumsy, emotionally-reserved, unexperienced and kind-hearted. Smart and funny, with a soft spot for Luffy. . As for the plot, "she fell first, but he fell harder", slice of life with a little angst would be perfect. I'm desperate for fanfiction about first experience in everything kinda stuff. I'm not a minor, so it would be very good to see some sensual and awkward smut. I would be glad to read anything you'll write about Luffy x female!reader and I hope that you liked my request (^o^)/ sorry for bad english
It's Okay ~ Luffy x F!Reader

Quiet days on The Thousand Sunny were as rare as mythical zoans. Not only because of dangerous encounters but also because of how calm the whole crew was today. Even your walking ray of sunshine captain was not as wild as usual. But you couldn’t really complain as you could focus on your task in silence.
The tailor of the crew, responsible of sewing, stitching and mending every piece of fabric on the ship. And that included the sails. Strong winds the night before managed a large tear and the next island was a couple of days away. So you had a job to do. Standing on a rope ladder, you effortlessly worked through the sails with elegance. Every piece of fabric in your home deserved care, as you’d always say when you mended the torn up clothes of your crew mates.
You were proud you could provide your family with loved and cared clothes and everything else they needed, top priority along with the dream of becoming the best tailor the seas had ever seen. Your mind wandered away to the smile of your captain every time you placed the fixed straw hat you came to love so much on his head, while you automatically repaired the sail. But your gracefulness started and ended at the needle in your hand.
Looking away into the sea for one second resulted in you prickling your finger. The sudden feeling caused you to lose your step and balance and you yelped as you fell from the ladder, expecting a hard fall and a trip to Chopper’s infirmary. But the land never came, arms wrapping around your frame, drawing you to somebody’s embrace. In fear, you wrapped yourself around your savior’s waist like a koala, your flower patterned dress coming up slightly. Your face went to the crook of his neck for one second, immediately recognizing who it was, and you raised your head to look at him in embarrassment.
“Hi there!”
“Luffy, thank you, I’m so sorry!”
“It’s alright. Was on my way to check if you needed help. Guess I was right.” he said laughing.
You smiled and hugged him tightly as he put you down on the deck. You were embarrassed, part of it because of your own clumsiness, another part because of the way Luffy’s hands lingered on your waist before letting you go.
“Are you almost done? Picked up a new card game from the last island and I want to play with you.”
“Oh, ah, I, I still have some, some work to do...?”
You didn’t. You also didn’t know why you said that. You said a lot of stupid stuff lately. You loved spending time with your captain, especially when you knew there wouldn’t be a crazy fight following you in a few hours. Falling in love with his brown eyes, his goofy and brave personality and his loyalty to his friends was the reason you said yes to joining the Straw Hats after you helped them save Robin in Ennies Lobby.
But ever since you returned to Sabaody, it’s gotten harder to contain the feelings for your first love. The other night while you two were keeping watch and talking about things you loved, an “I love you” escaped your lips without thinking, proceeding to an inept attempt to cover it by saying how you loved he is such a loyal friend. You felt the blush rushing to your cheeks as you looked again on his face and noticed something you were seeing more and more these days. His trademark smile was reduced to a small upward line and in his eyes there was a gleam of sadness. You couldn’t have that.
“It’s fine, I’ll see you around later I guess-”
“On another note, I can always finish it later. Let’s go play, Captain!”
And you grabbed his arm, running like a child playing chase across the deck toward Nami’s tangerine trees, laughing as you tripped on your two left feet, Luffy holding you upwards and laughing in the process, always there to catch you.
~
The ship was in motion, light rain falling from the night sky as Luffy found himself walking aimlessly on the empty deck. His black hair tousled, his straw hat dangling from the string around his neck, his posture slumped, trying to find some sort of relief in the breeze that hit his face. His trembling hands grip the railing, his gaze lost towards the vast ocean, unable to back focus on anything but his most recent nightmare. Memories of Ace's death spreading, like poison in his veins, once again. He tried to steady his breathing but failed as hot tears run down his cheeks, silent sobs leaving his body, trying not to wake up his crew. He hadn’t talked to anyone about Marineford. There was no reason for his friends to see him in that weakened state. He could tell that everyone felt guilty because they weren’t there for him, he didn’t want to feed that ugly feeling inside them.
You felt restless, worry prickling your skin like a hundred needles at once. Sleep wouldn’t do you a favor so you hoped off bed to get some fresh air on the deck and some moments of peace to think. Luffy’s sad eyes lingered in your thoughts. You couldn’t help but think about how much he had changed since you first met. You remembered the scrawny, eager, brave boy he was. Now his hair was longer and spikier, and he looked stronger than ever before, he was almost a man. Despite his carefree looks, a lot had changed about him. Yes, he was still as eager and resilient and determinated as ever, yet more mature, as much as maturity applied to him. And that big scar across his chest was the only testament of the fight he gave alone two years ago, as he hadn't talked to any of you about it. Not that he had to. You all knew you would wholeheartedly give him the support in any form he’d need. You’d do what you knew best. Take care of the people you loved. And from the moment you joined the crew, you knew your heart belonged to the straw hat captain.
You spotted Luffy in the front of the ship. It was unusual for him to be up and alone this late at night. Your eyes filled with concern, you walked closer to him as you noticed the trembling in his form, worry rising in your chest. Your hand caressing his shoulder slightly, you didn’t want to scare him or make him feel worse.
"Luffy?" you asked softly, voice barely audible over the wind.
Luffy wiped his tear streaked face quickly and tried to control his heavy breathing, wanting to be like his usual self, even if he knew it was too late for acting.
“I…”
He took a deep breath trying to hold it all in. He was the one that was supposed to help people through their crying and problems, to protect them. He couldn’t protect his friends in Sabaody, he couldn’t save his brother. He swore he’d never let anything like those things happen again. He didn’t want to be seen as weak. Not again. Not in front of his crew. Not in front of you.
“It’s okay, Luffy.”
His eyes met yours, a warm and safe gaze, always inviting and full of love, ready to be a place of comfort and joy to anyone that needed it. You wrapped your arms around his shoulder and back, taking him in a comforting embrace. His arms went immediately around you, his face buried in the crook of your neck as silent sobs left him once again. He hugged you tightly, hyperventilating as he let every last feeling of grief and pain out. You felt your eyes well too, the pain your favorite person carried alone enough to make you want to scream.
“It’s okay… you’re okay… it wasn’t your fault…”
“I couldn’t… I thought you… were all dead… and… I was right there… I couldn’t save him… he left… in my arms… it should have been me!”
Your heart ached listening to Luffy's sobs, tears running down your face as well. You pulled back slightly, cupping his face in your hands, and looked into his red, puffy eyes.
“Listen to me! Don’t say that again, ever! We all know you’d never let us down. You did everything you could, Luffy, you always do, and it’s enough for us." You said, voice shaking, carrying all the sincerity in the world. "And you always were there for him. You gave everything you had! He loved you so much and you saved him because you showed him how loved and cherished he was! You're still doing everything you can to keep his memory alive. That's what he would want! Don’t do this to yourself, please.”
You wiped the tears off his face and squeezed his cheeks like you usually did when you shared food and laughs together, managing to drag out a small smile from the boy.
“How about we go grab some tea and biscuits from the kitchen before Sanji comes down from his watch and go to my room?” you suggested, knowing Luffy would never say no to food.
“It’s on!”
Stealth wasn’t your strongest suit as you somehow always managed to hit on something. And with Luffy beside you, havoc was almost always certain. Getting out of the kitchen as fast as you could, before Sanji’s yells could reach you, you run into the ship, down to your handicraft’s room. The warmth of the cabin enveloped Luffy, feeling a little more like his usual self now, as he took in the room. That’s were all your great works laid, with needles, threads and sewing machines all over the place. From clothes and blankets to large embroideries hanging from the walls. You laid a soft, fluffy blanket on the ground to sit on. You sipped your scolding tea as Luffy munched on a cookie, taking in your works.
“I don’t know how you can make beautiful things like these.”
“I’ve practiced it a lot. And I love it. I’m glad you like it, Captain.”
You smiled widely, gaining a toothy grin from him.
“Thank you.”
“For what?”
“For always being here.”
You were thinking your next words for a moment before moving the cups and plate from the blanket, taking his shoulders gently as you both laid on the ground, your eyes looking at each other, taking his hand into yours.
“It's alright to not be fine, you know… I'll always be here for you, no matter what.”
“It’s… I’m not thinking about it most of the time… I just have nightmares… it’s hard sometimes.”
“And that’s completely logical, Luffy, you’ve been through hell! I collapsed when I heard the news and couldn’t be with you. I would have run to you if I could. I love you so much and I’m sorry I wasn’t there and…”
You were the one tearing up now, cheeks red from embarrassment as the words slipped through your mouth without thinking. You knew Luffy would be shattered when you heard about Ace. The only thing you wanted was to hug him until you pulled all his pieces back together. He met your gaze. Luffy was never interested in romance. He didn’t thought he needed it. Until he met you and for the first time, he wanted someone to join his crew not only because he wanted them as a friend and they’d be a great addition, but because he felt something different, something he couldn’t quite understand. The only thing he knew was that he loved you a little differently than the rest of his friends. It was his turn to brush the tears off your face now and you melted from his touch. You tried to speak but before you could, his hand, warm and slightly trembling, cup your cheek. His lips pressed into yours, just for a moment, before drawing back only inches from your face.
“I think I love you too.”
Your eyes widened in surprise, heart pounding against your ribs. Never had you thought you’d hear those words from Luffy. Of course, you knew he loved everyone in the crew, but this felt different. You felt like you would burst into flames as you blushed even more.
“You, you do?!”
“Yeah… you’re sweet and strong… always by my side… you’re very important to me…”
You let out a gasp of surprise as you hugged him tightly and crushed your lips into his clumsily, both of you laughing at your enthusiasm. Small, sweet kisses evolved into longer, more passionately ones and soon you were underneath him, his hands caressing your thigh beneath your dress, your hands slowly pushing his vest off of him.
“Are you okay?”
“I am, you?”
“Me too.”
Soon, your clothes landed somewhere else in the room as you felt him caressing your skin everywhere and you gasped into the kiss, him taking advantage of your parted lips to push his tongue into your mouth, tangling it messily with yours. His lips travelled down your neck and lower, soon to be between your legs. A feeling of self-consciousness crept over you as you closed your legs and he smiled up at you as he caressed your thigh.
“Hey, it’s okay, we can stop if you want.”
“No, I want this, I’ve just… never do this before…”
“Neither do I. We’ll find it together. But I want you to be comfortable. You can stop me if you don’t feel okay.”
You smile down at him and relaxed a bit, allowing him to spread your legs and start kissing the inside of your thighs. It felt so good to share another experience with him, and his touch was gentler than you thought it would be. He positioned your thighs on his shoulders and before you could react, his mouth was on you, his tongue licking a stripe before latching onto your clit. Your head fell back immediately as a choked out moan slipped through your mouth, one hand flying to his hair, pulling on his locks gently as the other grasped the blanket beneath you. His eyes were on you, his look was magnetic and focused on the task of making you feel good. A finger circling your tight hole, it pushed inside you slowly as he sucked on your clit, making you whimper from the pleasurable feeling. The stretching inside you new and welcomed, a combination of his mouth and a second finger breaching in has your orgasm approaching faster than you expected. He curled his fingers upwards, hitting repeatedly a spot you had never reached before on your own and it pushed you over the edge unexpectedly. He smiles against you as small moans left your mouth, your whole body shaking, your head spinning.
Coming down from your high, he crawls back on top of you and kisses you passionately, your tongues intertwining. You can taste yourself through the kiss, and it makes you long for more. He breaks the kiss and smiles down at you.
“How was that?”
“Luffy, it was… amazing. How did you know-”
“Didn’t. Just did what felt right. Are you okay to continue?”
You nodded eagerly and he grinned at you, his lips back on yours again. Your hand sneaks between your bodies to grab his dick, gently pumping him up and down, bringing him close to your folds. He moans into the kiss and swats your hand away, gliding himself between your now soaked pussy, his tip touching your clit every time, sending small jolts of pleasure down your spine. He breaks the kiss, his face only inches apart from yours, staring into your eyes.
“You’re sure?”, he whispered.
“Yes captain, please…”
A shiver run through his body as he hears your plead, and he moves his tip against your entrance, pushing in. A small gasp escape you and a sharp hiss leaves his mouth as he slowly slides into you, his movements awkward but gentle, the feeling of your warmth around him making him slightly tremble as he bottoms out. It felt slightly uncomfortable for you at first but the pain you expected to feel was nowhere to be found. His lips were on your neck, nibbling and sucking gently while his arms roamed your body, trying to make you relax as he stayed still, waiting for you to adjust to him. A few moments passed and your hand cupped his chin, bringing his lips to yours in a sweet kiss.
“Feels better now?”
“Yes, Luffy… please, move…”
He smiled down at you and placed another soft kiss on your lips as he began to move, taking it slow and tender, setting a rhythm that made you gasp, the pleasure spreading over you. One of his hands on yours, intertwining your fingers as the other grabbed your thigh to keep you against him, his forehead on yours, eyes closed as you both relished the feeling of your bodies pressed together. His speed picked up slightly as he finds a steady rhythm and you moan his name, your legs wrapping around his waist to keep him close. He smiles widely and kisses you deeply, his tongue exploring your mouth, your fingers running through his hair, gently tugging at his dark locks.
One hand gripped your thigh rougher now, pushing it upwards, the shift in position allowing him to go deeper, the other sneaking between your bodies to rub at your clit. Your face buries in the crook of his neck, trying to choke down your moans, the knot in your stomach tightening as his thrusts grow faster and sloppier, you feel that he’s close too.
Your lips connect again in a messy kiss and your back arches as you come undone, crying out through the kiss, your nails dragging down his back. He breaks the kiss, his lips trailing down your jaw and neck, his hands grab your hips to drag you to him as he fucks you through your high, his hips stuttering, feeling your walls squeezing him tight, pushing him over the edge with you.
You stay like this for a while, hands wrapped around each other, his face buried in the crook of your neck, savoring the moment. He places a tender kiss on your cheek and turns to face you, his head on your shoulder.
“How do you feel?”
“I feel… wonderful…” you say with a sigh as you smile up at him. His hand caressing you cheek, he placed another sweet kiss before stretching his hand to grab another blanket nearby, covering the both of you. He then lies flat on top of you again, his arms wrapping around you, and closes his eyes, still inside you.
“Luff, we…”
“Can’t move, I feel snuggly right now.”
You laugh softly as you hug him back, feeling his breath slow down as he slowly falls asleep, your eyelids getting heavy as well, a content smile playing on your lips.
“Goodnight dummy…”
