What if Beethoven and Mozart did a piano duel,, I think it’d be really cool to watch! It’d be two musical geniuses going at each other- Mozart, on one hand, is undoubtedly a music prodigy and genius, and wrote what’s estimated to be over 800 works. However, Beethoven is a master at improvisation, and he’s no slouch, either. And he’s got that perfect pitch 👌  Mozart began composing at five. Beethoven started playing publicly at seven. Oh, and I just found out a not-that-fun fact,, So, you know Beethoven’s dad? I found one more reason to beat him up- So, Beethoven was born on December 1770. However, his father made him think that he was actually born in 1772, making Beethoven believe that he was younger than he actually was. When Beethoven’s first public performance happened, he was seven and a half years old, but his father announced to the public he was his “little son of six years.” (Six years old was actually when Mozart debuted for Empress Maria Theresia, and he wanted his son to be recognised as a child prodigy like him.) He wanted to make his son to be more in demand in the music circle. And Beethoven himself thought he was born in 1772 for a good portion of his life, too! He believed his father’s lie, and it was only when he was confronted by official papers by did he discover the truth. 

So, not only was he very abusive, Beethoven’s father lied about his age, both in public and even to his own son,, And he didn’t even tell the truth, either!

(I won’t lie, this could actually be one of the foundations on why Beethoven hates dishonesty and lies,, Because the thing that made his music career catch attention was based on a lie, and he himself believed that lie for a good while,,)

I used a dice roller and random name picker to choose how many kids, what bio parents(for UY Fake Marriage AU), what gender, species the kids are, then for their names

Fake Marriage AU;

TomoSagi Kid, either a cat or rabbit, leaning towards cat, son, either has fur pattern/coloring like Swiss Fox or Tan Rabbit, Swiss Fox because i made Tomoe a Somali Cat which are called Fox Cats sometimes and Tan because of Tomoe's pretty fur colors.

MariKen Kids, plural, son and daughter, hija has Kenichi head, eyes, and ears, Mariko hair, eye shape and nose. Hijo has Kenichi eye shape, nose, chin, Mariko's face, ears and eyes. Haven't decided which kid yet but one will have Himalayan or Californian fur pattern and the other piebald/broken fur pattern

Oh I should also mention that my evil genius brain had me researching Renaissance artists and artists of art movements that came after the Renaissance AND Surrealism because Frida Kahlo was considered part of that art movement and there was word that the Rise!Turtles missing sister would have had that name

And then I saw @/quartergremlin had the galaxy brain idea of including PSDD as one of Donnie's kids and redesigning it so I rolled a die for how many kids, then put in all bio, all adoptees, psdd and bio, psdd and adoptees

P.S.D.D and adoptees won, so then I went to yokai.com to see what they got to get the ideas flowing, put birds I was thinking of making ocs with and basing Rise! Karasu-tengu off of

Ended up with a hane-no-haeta kappa kid and a Daruma Pond Frog kid, adopted son and daughter respectively

Usagi came across the kappa boy on one of his misadventures and Donnie came across the frog girl in the Hidden City

P.S.D.D uses ve/vir/vis pronouns (because it sounds a lil like virus which ve finds hilarious)

D.D.'s design is based off of Don's fantasy mech from Down With The Sickness and tmnt 2012&2003 Fugitoid

But then I got attached to the flower names, especially the poisonous ones so Middle Name Time!!!

Tomiko Amaryllis Hamato-Miyamoto (iiii don't think amaryllis were in my poisonous list but they were in my Victorian era/hanakotoba flower language list I think)

Shigeru Larkspur Hamato-Miyamoto (the kappa child, Shigeru is made up of either the kanji for Rabbit[ie Usagi] or lapis lazuli and something else i can't remember off the top of my head)

{Mountain} Laurel Koyuki Hamato-Miyamoto (Donnie named her because He's Extra, and she didn't have a name as an orphan street rat, lil iffy about her middle name, thinking of keeping the flower middle name thing but Shelldon/P.S.D.D/Jotaro dont have one and her name is ks already a flower sooooo...)

D.D. and Tomiko have already been designed and have color palettes everyone else is still in the works...

Forgive me father for I have bought a tree.

Imagine youre my poor fucking mother and I come home with a damn tree. Fucking insane how that woman puts up with me.

Anyhow! This is a flowering plum. It was sitting in the reduced plants section of Bunnings marked down to $50 from $106. I was super fucking hype because I've always wanted one, so of course I picked it up and grabbed some quality soil.

Though I spent a little while contemplating because I noticed it had a white powder on its leaves, which I know is like a thing. And it had been tagged "MD" standing for "Might die". So I decided to consult with the lady working there. She was super super sweet giving me advice like "prune it back 30%" and then "Ah fuck it I'll do it now for ya". She recommend I give it a Seasol bath and plant it in the next few days because it's very pot-bound. Also to sprinkle some antifungal on it, so I bought some of that for it.

I must have had insecurity written all ove rmy face because she looked at me and was just like "Do the horticulture course at [insert local TAFE/Vocational training]. It saved my career and my house. It's a wonderful course. Do it." which is... Amusing since I have been considering it.

I might just have to take her advice. So, tomorrow I shall work on potting dear Julie.

(She told me to name it after her. It's a lovely name, I have no complaints.)

She also slashed the price down to $30 the fucking legend. Love her hope to see her again sometime. "You seem like a nice kid" God I love middle aged ladies.

As inspired by this post, I wanted to take a bit of time to dive into Kai’sa & also Akali in the K/DA universe + some of their struggles. Quickly tagging @corpsetalker and @ahrisseoyo :3c

Akali is perhaps a little bit easier for me to discuss. If you haven’t yet, I recommend that you read her verse biography found in my muse page because she’s pretty canon divergent. As the youngest of the group, she struggles with her self confidence. In her eyes, Ahri and Eve are veterans in the industry with years of experience & Kai’sa is a phenomenal dancer with so much passion and determination. Something else which differentiates her from Kai is that Akali’s personality is more difficult. Kai’sa is very easy - going, certainly when compared to Akali.

She also feels the desire to prove herself —— to her adoptive father, to those who looked down on her, and also to everyone who believe in her and support her. So she practices hard, overworking herself in the hopes of improving her dance. ( Not to be an A/RMY but. I was pretty inspired by Seokjin’s struggle with his singing & dancing when I came up with this struggle for Akali. ) Her aura of confidence and badassery on stage is an identity which K/DA’s managers have told her to project. Fake it ‘till you make it, right? Akali sure hopes so.

Moving on to Kai’sa, I write her as the second youngest. As a teenager, her family traveled around a lot & she’s frequently needed to alter her personality in order to fit in. That’s why she slots right into K/DA, but that also means she’s largely overlooked in comparison to Ahri’s charm, Eve’s sex appeal and Akali’s coolness. While this wouldn’t actually bother her so much, she’s certainly bitter about the double standards she’s held at. Also, whitewashing anyone? Fansites would definitely edit the hell out of photos of her & even cut her out of group pictures. 

Kai’sa is the type to be happy with just being able to do what she loves & being offered such a big stage where she can show the world what she loves doing is amazing. But when she gets off the stage, she’s treated differently compared to her groupmates. ( Thinking back to SM’s treatment of T/ao, L/uhan and K/ris tbh. ) While she’s certainly confident in her skill set on stage, I’d imagine that dealing with everything else can be very taxing. She contributes to the choreography of the group & acts as a mediator, she’s a hard worker and has the talent to back it up but just because of her skin color she’d be looked down on.

I am an Air Force wife.

I had a boyfriend who one day told me he was considering joining the military, I said lets look at our options. Together we picked the Air Force. He waited by the phone for months waiting for his recruiter to call him telling him his job and the date he’d leave for Basic. I was there that October morning when he got that call. 

I had a fiance who left for Basic Training the day after my birthday, the first hard goodbye we’d have with each other. My fiance wrote me letters for 8 hard weeks of training, and I’d fall asleep holding them. I traveled with my family to watch my fiance graduate, spent the weekend walking next to his fresh bald head but not being able to hold his hand. It was that weekend when my mother pulled me aside and told me he seemed different and maybe we shouldn’t get married. But I loved him anyways. He went on to tech school and I started planning a lovely fall wedding, I had a dress on layaway, and the cards of vendors, but no set date. My fiance called to tell me he was being sent to South Korea as I was leaving the bridal shop, putting the down payment on my designer dress. He was leaving in August and didn’t know when he’d get enough leave for our wedding. So I changed my plans, a July wedding. 

I have a husband, who went to a foreign land just 9 days after we said “I do”. It never bothered me staying up late and getting up early just so I could carry out my job at home and my job as a wife. It never annoyed me that he wasn’t allowed to tell me about any aspect of his job. When I got shingles, I wasn’t mad that he wasn’t there to take care of me. I have a husband who made a year of loneliness melt away with that first hug at the air port. I have a husband that has a job that has given us opportunities to travel, to live on a beautiful island, to go to school, to live in a nice house, to start our family with a sense of security. 

Sometimes, being a military spouse is hard. It can be really hard. Sometimes I do the laundry and I fold those ABUs with aggression. Rosie Watson’s Diary - Tue.12/02/2030 (part 1)

Actually, yesterday, we got caught. Yifan, Kiara and I, in the toilets. That was a shame. A tremendous humiliation !!! ANOYING ANOYING ANOYING ! 

"Ms. Rosamund Watson was found hiding inside the WC with two of here classmates instead of attending her class."

I tried to bargain, Yifan even tried her magical “sweet-bunny look” and almost cried, “please, don’t put the word WC on it”… but there was nothing to do… The clerk just went on, heartless. Damn grownups !!!

 GOD ! And my parents... well actually my official parent has to sigh this.

Gggggggggh, I'm done. Farewell human dignity. How could one be so cruel ???

Anyway. This is not that bad compared to :

- my fucked Chinese vocabulary test I will also have to hand back signed next week and (Lol, I got D-. The teacher said she avoided the E because I was able to write my name flawless... sooo kind, I LOVE to be pitied at…) well,

- to Daddy not having been home since Saturday evening,  and

- to me, sleeping at Molly's and only getting news through Irene Adler and Harry regarding my parents.

Actually, on Sunday, after Irene Adler had decided... wait, I found that word... I looked it up in Molly's old Harap's book (God, she actually IS old...) ow yes : unilaterally.

So, once Irene Adler had decided unilaterally (meaning : without taking my opinion into account) to end our conversation, I slowly went down. I didn't know what to expect. And I found a totally hazed Sherlock wearing his dark red dressing gown over the very cloths he was wearing on Saturday's evening, pacing wild around in the kitchen while smoking. YES. He was smoking. He saw me and froze. This was bad. But even worse, his loose gaze, not being able to focus. I shyly tried to pretend everything was fine :

"Morning !"

But it wasn't fine. He did not answer. He just started to pace again. Ooookay. So... this was Sherlock without Daddy for one night. I didn't want to picture a Sherlock without Daddy for one day. Imagine two days ??? God he had to come back, roof jump or no roof jump, this was ridiculous ! I wanted my life back. Still want. And my parents. Both of them.

"Watson... what about spending the Sunday with Molly ?"

He was not even looking at me. This was not a question. As I already said, I am an almost grownup, I know when it is useless and when it is useful to argue. So I went up, called Molly and half an hour later, she was picking me up. As I went down, Mrs H. poked out her door, silently asking what all this was about. I just shrugged. I didn't know. Something about a roof and about my mother. She rolled her eyes and made an annoyed noise. She nevertheless wished me a happy Sunday and went up. I love her. Molly was silent. Stella was at her place. We had a cosy breakfast and talked about Paris. Stella had looked up : it really might work.

Around noon, I got a text from Harry : "Rosie, my love, this is Daddy. I am at Harry's. I forgot my phone at home. I needed a bit space. I will be home tomorrow evening, do not worry."

"I am at Molly’s.”

“Good.”

As Molly and Stella settled in to watch some dull romance on Netflix, I turned back to Irene Adler. I was not done with her. Not the slightest.
