OK HERE ME OUT MARIA AS A LADY OF THE LAKE
she can be a mother like figure to him
im a just dump all my knowlage here it's long have fun
Shadow will be raised by her since doing some research a while back I came to find out that Sir Lancelot was raised by the lady of the lake.
Some iterations he's kidnapped or was just taken bc they lost their parents or something so dudes an orphan some mention being raised in the fay lands, and that sounds SO FUCKING INTERSTING.
So i decided to change it up a bit since there is multiple ladys of the lake in fokelore and im a sucker for fantasy
i played around with the fact that the lady of the Lake in the story lancolot is from gose by many names depending on the iteration so in this world theres multiple and one is named Vivian
Amy will still be a lady of the lake Nimue just not the one who raised Shadow, she can by a lady of the lake in training when lance was with Vivian.
also the lady of the lake shall be a fay enchantres whatever.
maybe they crossed path before as childern hehe
image lil Nimue and lil Lanc ahhh
Soooooo i may have added more since I CAN NOT bring myself to make shadow just a reguler guy bro is the ulimate life form and im sticking to those roots
IM MAKEING HIM A CHANGLING HEHEHE MEANING HES NOT EVEN THE TRUE LANCOLOT THE DUDE IS DEAD way before he meet vivian.
Since in fokelore fay or some other magical creatures would sometimes switch human babys with their own so thats what happens to lanc he's a changling who his father black doom switched a birth with the help of Gerold (idk what to change his name to) he will be a fae too.
The deal was with shadow in the throne they could use him as a puppet to do things in favor of the fae.
But things would not go as planed and so kingdom gone now and gerold is left with this changling baby who he put in inhibitor on to keep im from turning to his fae form.
So Vivian (Maria) had no idea he wasnt even the true Lancolot
Gerold just said to keep those on saying hes a cursed child. Vivian still loved him like a son nonethless rasing him to become a knight.
But one day things go south when Lanc picked a fight with some near by village kids when Vivian brought him to the human realm to still remain familer to what she thinks are his roots.
One thing led to another that village kid happen to be the child of the leader of the town who at the time would blam almost eveything on witch craft or the devil soooo yeah he dont like fae and they knew Vivian was his mother/ care taker so they belived he must be cursed so the plan was to kill both Lanc and Vivian but yeah that didn't exactly happen so they kill Vivian who left an opeing for Lanc to esccpe
She did this by pushing him to a fae circle (since in old tales they say they can be portals and whatever)
He escaped but he never saw her again he knew she was dead...
He live alone for a bit befor befriended some other orphan kids who were thieves one being Rouge the bat
yada yada yad some of the events of black knight later shadow is now a adult with vage mermories of his past he dosent even remember being rased in the fae realm just that Vivian was his caretaker and that she died Visting her lake as an adult is all dried out but people of the village have lighten up now and speak of a lady of the lake near by so shadow heads over seeking answers since his inhibortor rings are no longer being very helpful in holding back his "curse"
He belives maybe this Nimue can help him find a way to cure his "curse"
This was actually fun to write :D

Please Don't Be In Love With Someone Else ~LA!Shanks x Reader x LA!Mihawk Imagine~
Summary: You keep waiting for Shanks. But someone new comes along and suddenly, you're not so lonely.
Author’s Note: You read the title correctly. I'm evilly laughing right now as you read this in pain. Also, this is technically a rewrite of the angst ending cause the one I wrote and in my drafts is more fluff than angst.
Angst Ending to I Was Enchanted to Meet You
Reader’s Pronouns: She/Her
Warnings: angst, fluff, but angst to all you Shanks lovers
Side Note: This is a secondary blog. If you comment a question down below, I will not answer since this is not the main blog. Please send the question to my inbox if you want a response back!
Do not repost this anywhere!
It had been years since you last saw Shanks. And it's been a year since you last saw Luffy. Ever since he was old enough to sail off in the world to find the One Piece to become King of the Pirates, you had been by yourself since. Of course you did a lot for your small village to keep you occupied but you still missed your boys.
You were tending to your garden as it was time for you to harvest before it became spoiled and over grown. That was until you heard someone say something behind you.
“You don’t seem like someone who can harm a fly."
You turned around to see the warlord Dracule Mihawk standing before you. You stood up straight to seemed less intimidated.
“I can hurt a fly. Don’t think I’m good at harming anyone else,” you tell him as you crossed your arms.
“I see.”
“I know who you are so what do you want?” You asked.
“I was sent to kill you but in all honesty, I don’t think I can kill you. You’re too beautiful to be killed,” he tells you.
“Who sent you to kill me?” You asked, now worried. You’ve stayed in the island since you were born. Not only that, you stayed even when Luffy left.
“Not to worry now. I don't have any intentions to kill you," he tells you.
"Then what are you still doing here?"
"I'm curious to see why someone would send me to go after you."
"Feel free to stay. Just to tell you, it's going to be quite boring," you tell him.
Mihawk stayed around the next day to watch over you. He didn't understand why Vice Admiral Garp would want a warlord like him to kill a sweet little thing like yourself. You did nothing of the sort that would be considered dangerous or even pirate bounty level dangerous.
"Ow!" You yelled as you accidently burnt yourself with the pan.
"What happened? What's wrong?" Mihawk asked you as he rushed inside your home.
"Just burned myself," you tell him.
Mihawk quickly grabbed your bucket of water before gently putting your finger in the cool liquid.
"Thanks," you tell him.
"Of course."
"I made extras if you'd like. I got used to cooking for two," you tell him.
"Was it for you and your past lover?" Mihawk asked you.
"Not really surprisingly. I used to take care of a little boy who used to live with me who had a bottomless stomach. He wanted to become a pirate so he set sail a year ago," you tell him.
"I see."
"So, dinner?"
"Why not."
—
Mihawk stayed for a couple more weeks before he needed to back out to sea. You stood on the deck as you watched Mihawk get ready to leave.
"So I guess this is farewell?" You asked him.
"For now. I will be back in a month at most," he tells you.
"To finish me off and claim your berry?" You asked.
"No. To come see you again," Mihawk said before sailing off. You shook your head at him before walking back to your home.
You assumed Mihawk was lying or joking when he said he was coming back to see you. But to your surprise, you opened your door to see him standing before you.
"Brought you some new seeds for you to grow in your garden," Mihawk tells you.
"I'm guessing you're staying for dinner?" You asked with a small smile.
"If you'd have me," Mihawk said. You nodded before letting him inside your house.
-
As much as you didn't want to admit, you fell for Mihawk. Even though part of you hoped for Shanks to come back, you appreciated the fact that no matter how long Mihawk was gone for or even if he was wounded badly, he came back to you. Even though Shanks would come back to you, he hasn't for years.
"Will you be mine?" Mihawk asked you one night. After a midnight stroll, you both headed back to your home. Mihawk stopped you from walking inside by holding your hand.
"What?" You asked in shock.
"Be mine. I've fallen for you Y/n. And I swear to you, I would never let anything happen to you," Mihawk tells you.
"Alright. I'll be yours," you tell him. Mihawk gave you a small smile before pulling you towards him.
"May I kiss you?" Mihawk asked you.
"Yes."
Mihawk cupped your cheek with his hand before leaning in to kiss you.
-
Shanks rushed over to your home after being away for so many years. He was excited to tell you his adventures and was looking forward to seeing you once again. He knocked on your door, his heart pounding in excitement.
Instead of seeing you, he saw someone else open the door. His smile faltered as he stared at the stranger in front of him.
"May I help you?" The stranger asked him.
"My apologies. I was hoping to find Y/n L/n? The woman who lived here?" Shanks asked.
"Oh. I'm sorry. She's been gone for quite sometime. She left the village I want to say two years ago? Her and her husband moved to another island."
"Her husband?"
"Yes. I'm surprised she married a warlord but he had been kind to the village whenever he was here," the stranger pointed out.
"Do you happened to know her husband's name?"
"I believe it was Dracule Mihawk."
—
Shanks made it to Mihawk's castle where he knew you would be at. After demanding to see you, Mihawk came out to talk to him.
"You should know my wife is resting," Mihawk tells him.
"You took her from me," Shanks angrily tell him.
"I didn't take her from anyone. When I met her, she was alone," Mihawk informs him.
"She never told you about me?" Shanks asked.
"No she has. I just never told her that I knew you."
"Please. Let me see her!" Shanks asked.
"Let me see if she's well enough to move," Mihawk said.
"Is she sick?" Shanks asked.
"Not entirely."
Shanks waited anxiously for you to come down. His eyes widen when he saw Mihawk helping you down. Your stomach was large but he knew that it was because you were pregnant. And what's worse was that it wasn't Shanks's child you were carrying. It was Mihawk's child.
"Shanks?" You asked in shock.
"Hi, Y/n."
-
You sat in the garden with Shanks alone so you two could talk. Shanks stared at you, admiring your beauty once more. While you thought you were alone, Shanks knew that Mihawk was watching nearby.
“Are you happy my love?” Shanks asked you as he held your hand.
“I am. Hawk Eye makes me happy,” you tell him with a small smile.
“I’m happy that you’re happy.”
“I did wait for you Shanks. I really did. But I feared that if I waited any longer, I’d be too old for you,” you tell him with a frown.
“You could never be too old for me. You could have white hair and many wrinkles and I’d still think you’re the most beautiful woman in the world,” Shanks tells you. You smiled at him before tearing up.
“I loved you Shanks. And I’m sorry I didn’t wait for you longer."
“Don’t apologize my love. I’m sorry I didn’t come back to you sooner,” Shanks said. You nodded before taking off your makeshift necklace that held the ring Shanks gave to you. You handed it over to Shanks before kissing his cheek.
“I hope life treats you well and I hope you find a woman who will love you endlessly as much as I did,” you tell him.
“And if Hawk Eyes dares to lay a hand on you, come find me. I’ll protect you.”
“I know you will."
"So this is goodbye then huh?" Shanks asked you.
"If you find Luffy, tell him I miss him and love him dearly. And that, he's more than welcome to visit me or find me whenever he wants," you tell him. After all, Luffy was yours and Shanks's unofficial son and you two were his unofficial parents.
"Goodbye, Shanks,” you tell him before giving him a kiss on the cheek once more.
“Goodbye, my love.”
—
You sat on the couch in your lounge room waiting for your son to arrive with his new fiancée. Twenty five years had gone by and you had lived your life. Dracule sat next to you as you both waited for your son to come home. Now that your husband has retired from being a pirate, he had spent his time with you while your children explored the world.
“I wonder what she’ll be like,” you tell your husband.
“I trust his judgement. After all, I chose well didn’t I?” Dracule joked.
“You most certainly did,” you smiled.
“Mom! Dad! I’m home!” You heard your son say.
“Over here!” You called from where you were.
You smiled at your son the moment he walked in but your eyes widen from the sight of the woman next to him. Not only did she have the exact same hair as Shanks, but she also had the same eyes as him. It was no doubt that she was Shanks's daughter.
“Mother. Father. This is my fiancée, May,” your son said proudly. You smiled at the woman before getting up from your chair to greet her.
“It’s nice to meet you, May,” you tell her.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you too, Mrs. Mihawk.”
“Please call me Y/n,” you tell her as you shook her hand. You noticed her necklace with a ring on it. It looked exactly like the one Shanks gave to you from years before.
“I like your necklace,” you say.
“Oh thank you. My father gave it to me. Said it was his prize possession,” she tells you. You felt your heart break a little from what she said.
“Will we be able to meet your parents soon?” You asked.
“Unfortunately no. My mother passed away from childbirth and my father passed away not too long ago,” she tells you. You frown from hearing that.
“I’m so sorry.”
“It’s alright. I’m really glad to have met your son,” May tells you. You smiled at her before giving her a hug.
“Well, I know my son will treat you well. And if he doesn’t, you tell me,” you tell her. May smiled at you before looking at your son.
At the end of the night, you stood outside on your balcony as you stared up at the stars.
Maybe this was the universe telling you that in another life, you and Shanks end up together. But you did wish he didn’t have to be gone so soon. You wished that he would’ve came back to you sooner and maybe you two could've had the future you two wanted together.

Stay (ch. 3)
Fandom: Call of Duty Pairing: Viking!König x Female reader Length: Long Warnings: some strong language.
Realization - The answer - A lesson in training - A birth - Fitting in
The scream that left your throat left you hoarse, as if you'd been calling for your animals back home all day. It was early enough yet after dinner that boots could be heard coming down the hallway towards your room, towards your screaming anguish. Krueger was first through the door, followed by Soap, begging the head of the KorTac clan what in the Gods names was going on back here.
The words you wanted to say came tumbling out like a pile of rocks, spitty, messy, garbled beyond coherent hearing.
Finally a "YOU'RE LYING!" made its was through the blubbering mess of your voice.
"Oh König, you didn't have have family killed did you?"
"Nein!"
"Why is it when I always find her, she is always crying?"
They talked above you as you knelt, crumpling to the floor on your knees and wept. You sounded just like your mother had when The Collector took you for leverage. You covered the back of your head with your hands, trying to breathe, trying to think.
It was no use.
You suddenly felt their hands on you, coaxing you up to at least sit or lay on the bed, or as it were now your bed. You let your body go limp, wanting nothing more than to crush into sand. You curled up and held your head, sobbing terribly. Your eyes hurt, your head pounded, your heart and mind raced.
"Guess you did find yourself a little wife, eh Collector." Soap chided as the three men took their leave.
"Not now, Soap."
….
You cried yourself to sleep. What else could you do? Your father had offered you up for future payment. The bracelet on your arm brought you only a sliver of comfort, not the warm embrace of your mother.
You had stayed up long, late nights dreaming of the day when she would pass it down to you. Who was worthy enough to call you their wife? Who would watch over and protect you from anything slight out of line. What would your dress look like, who would do your hair? Who would be the one to bind your hand together with your new husband?
All those scenarios flew away.
You were now bound to the boogeyman, without your consent. Stuck in this prison. As you rose, sitting up in your bed, your face stained and crusty, you noticed there was a scroll next to your pillow. That was not there before. It was tied neatly with a lock of your mothers' hair.
You fingered over it as you read the letter.
How sorry they were to have to do this, how times had only gotten harsher back home to keep food on the table now that you were gone. Your father was catching just enough fish for the both of them and sometimes only your mother was eating breakfast. The winter months were creeping and they just couldn't afford what was needed and knowing that you would be taken care of, a place to sleep, eat and live was their only concern.
It made you cry even more when you noticed how your mother had signed it.
It was splotched in a few places as if… your mother had been crying while writing.
You cleaved it to your chest and cried yourself back to sleep.
….
You didn't eat with the rest of the clan that night, instead you waited until the music stopped, the bustling dinner and ruckus had died down. Just to see, you pulled on your door.
It was unlatched.
Your eyebrows almost met as you yanked it the rest of the open, lit torches illuminated the dark hallway. The great hall was empty, the tables and chairs were clean, König's throne was empty and gave off the element of intimidation. It was huge, even if he wasn't sat in it.
You looked around the dining hall before climbing up the cold wooden steps, your mother's lock of hair still in your palm and sat down. You felt tiny.
This place would become your home. It wasn't a bad village, it was far bigger than your own, bustling with little shops and wares.
You touched your bracelet and started to well up again.
"Enjoying yourself, wee lass?" Soap peeked around the corner, hoping with your fingers crossed that he wouldn't tattle on you. You hopped up instantly.
"You won't tell him will you?" You meekly asked.
Soap adjusted his leather shirt before going towards the front double doors, hanging around just a bit. He looked over his shoulder at you with a smirk. "Tell who what? Good night, pet."
Your shoulders relaxed and you wandered about the hall, touching the wooden walls, jumping out of the way of a stray cat who was more startled then you were. You found the kitchen cellar eventually, at least there was a loaf of bread left out and some scraps of meat that reminded you of your first night here.
You made it to the back door and creaked it open, the moonlight shining over the tops of your neighbors homes, little fire bugs danced and dallied about the air. You tore off another piece of bread, watching the twinkling stars above, the Gods were out and shining.
"Beautiful night." The Collector scared you as he suddenly walked by, arms behind his back and shirtless. He looked tired, even though you could only see his eyes as he moved closer and leaned against the door. "You were missed at dinner this evening."
You snorted. "By who? No one cares."
"I care."
"Why? Is this a game to you? I'm left here, this isn't my village, these aren't my people. You're a cruel man, with a cruel title. Everyone fears you," you shook your head at his arrogance. "Do you know the children in my village are warned about you, that if they are naughty you will come and snatch them in the night, steal them from their parents. And now… they'll know the sick truth that I too am susceptible to such a fate."
König sighed and pushed off the door, towering over you, making you move out of his way.
"I'll tell you this, pet. I shall let you sulk and whine and moan about your situation but after tonight, you sneaking around to eat stale bread and cheese, get used to it. Your parents are better off."
"How dare you! How can you say that?"
"Because it's true. They can barely get by themselves and you're just another mouth to feed. Here your will be warm for winter, you will participate in village duties, you will pull your own weight. You earn your keep here," König hummed and patted your head, assuming you like the pet that you were. "I know you are strong willed and you'll fit in just fine. You'll also need some training."
"In what?"
"In combat. I'll collect you at dawn; get some rest, pet."
….
He was indeed quite serious about the timing, banging open your door, rousing you like a trained solider at camp, ready to lay waste to the enemy. Frantically dressing, tying your boots off at the front doors of the hall, scrambling behind the big, bad man in the early hours. Not even the shopkeepers were awake, only the bakers.
You weren't tethered to him this morning though.
You tramped over bushes, a well traveled path behind the great hall and out in mornings first light. The sun was gentle, the mist and fog light, the grass still damp.
You wondered about the man before you, was this the plan all along? Did he plan on taking you before changing pay day? He certainly had something in mind because why did he pick on your family first? He barely gave you a glance beforehand. Always snatching and counting coins at your dinner table, grunting if it was enough and then leaving like a phantom.
You soon came into a clearing, there were tree trunk rounds with arrows struck into them at varying angles, tree stumps for exercise and balance training, hanging cloth dolls with previous practice.
You started simple.
He wanted to see your aim. The Collector had handed you a blade that surely had been used for either threats or promises, it was warm and heavy in your hand. He pointed to one of the logs and watched as you hefted it up and threw. He clicked his teeth.
Not impressed.
You did that for quite awhile before moving on to core and balance, standing on one leg one of the tree stumps. He'd poke and prod at your standing leg to keep you on edge, make you think, make you better. You wobbled again and König spanked your ass, making you jolt a little more before righting yourself to the other foot.
"May I ask you something?" You asked, eyes trained on the now swaying stuffed body when the wind picked up.
"I suppose I can entertain you for a moment."
"Soap had mentioned something about your last ransom captive. Told me I should stay on your good side."
"Ah, good man with even better advice."
"Can I ask what happened?" You switched feet again, now with your arms out at your sides.
"Is that not what you are doing right now, pet? Would you prefer the long or short version?"
"Whatever you prefer. I'm curious."
"Hmmm, one should be. I held her captive for the summer months, she tried and failed to escape more than once; hence why I keep you close by and within eyesight like a babe." He pushed your standing leg once more, a satisfied hum when you didn't falter. "I found out she had convinced and seduced one of my own, a traitor. Naturally, you being from here, you understand what the price is don't you?"
"Blood eagle." You half whispered, the sickening image of what you'd known flashed behind your eyes.
"My pet is very smart, good job. So I tied her up, took them both in the night and in front of everyone, the entirety of KorTac itself, held her to my chest and made her watch us blood eagle him. Her screams seemed to last forever. After he was dead and his lungs pulled out, I took my blade and slit her throat. Burned them both afterwards." König gave a light shrug and stood in front of you.
"So yes, Soap was right to tell you not to fuck with me. Understand?"
"Yes, sir."
….
"Again!"
"But it's so heavy."
"It's a fuckin a boulder, it's meant to be. Now pick it up and flip it again. If you're going to be a shieldmaiden you need to be trained, ready." König sighed heavily, even though autumn was on its way, he'd taken off his furs and shirt, scarred skin and taut muscles glinting in the sunrise.
"I'm good with a bow. Isn't that enough?"
"No! Not when I know you're highly capable of being better than just good with a bow. Also, as those are your only pants, bring them to Gaz tomorrow and get a second pair, leather. He'll know what to do and some boots too, those are plenty worn in."
"How will I pay for them?" You asked, out of breath. He was blunt but not murderous to you. You had taken Soap's healthy advice and kept quiet, only answering when spoken to. You were untied and had been able to venture though KorTac's great alone unaccompanied, even though you felt eyes on you at all times.
"Hmph. Just get them."
"On my own?"
"Do you wish for me to escort you myself? As if I am not the clan leader and not busy! Can you be trusted with such a task?" König grabbed another boulder, only slightly smaller from the pile behind you and dropped it at your feet.
"Sorry."
"Ask Keeva to assist you if you want. I can trust you won't run away, ja?"
"I won't."
"Good. Keep going, gotta' build you up some." The Collector shouted words of encouragement that left even your bones sore.
"Thanks for coming with me." Your legs ached and begged for respite as you walked down the lane, a very pregnant Keeva beside you, a basket of mending on her own hip. You took a dip in the bucket in your room, full of fresh cold water before changing into the dress the women of KorTac had laid out for you.
"I'm happy to! I very much enjoy your company and now that you're staying, I'm sure we will be fast friends. And I should get out of the house, Price is making me mad. Any day now for this baby to come out, I feel like I'm going to pop!"
"How do you know I'm staying with KorTac?"
"Simple. You're getting things mended without payment, Gaz does excellent work and charges those foreign to him but now he'll have you fixed up just right. Plus, Price overheard The Collector talking with Soap last night in the hall. Walls aren't very thick if you know what I mean."
"Oh. Yeah, he took me out training this morning. He's intense." You said and rolled your shoulders, still achy from flipping that damn boulder.
"He has to be, love. He's the leader, his need to showcase his work is smart. If he can express that you are now a willing party to KorTac, he will be seen quite strong. Ah, here we are."
Gaz's mending shop was larger than to be expected. You thought maybe he did this out of his own home but this stall, made of beautifully carved wood and leather was stunning. He was tanning hides in the back when you two strolled in, a confused nod to as if he didn't think had lasted this long here. He sized up your pants, had you sit and took measure of you boots as well while Keeva looked through the freshly dyed linens he'd hung, holding her belly and talking to it.
Keeva took to you quickly, muttering about Price, her husband. How eager he was to have another babe with his pretty little wife. It sounded nice. A love match. Not like the one you were so quickly thrown into. The smell of burning leaves hit you quick and you thought you might've stepped into a snake hole of some sort, only to feel the pinch of Keeva's nails on your looped forearm.
"Are you alright?"
The look in her eyes was sheer terror as she hiked up her dress and flow of fluid splashed out to the ground below. "Oh no. It's happening. oh pet, we are too far from home, from the hall. I won't make it. Ow!"
"Um, come, let's get back to Gaz's shop, he'll have furs and cloth for you to rest on rather plop out a baby in the street."
"Don't make me laugh!" Keeva covered her mouth and waddled back to the shop with you.
"Okay um, lay her down gently, I need to check you."
"No offense, Gaz but I'd rather have Y/N do it."
"Right. Apologies. Uh have you ever done anything like this before?"
"With sheep!" You said with a shrug when Keeva screamed through clenched teeth. You got on your knees and did what you were taught, what to look for, signs of dilation, where the baby was turned. Keeva looked incredibly small down on the ground of the shop, Gaz had run to close the shudders at lightning speed for everyone's dignity.
"Oh Gods help me!"
"Is it alright if I--"
"Just do it! Oh Price, I am so sorry my love…"
"Is this your first?" You asked as you hefted up her skirt a little more.
"This is our third. Oh!"
"Hold her hand for me will you, Gaz. You're gonna' feel some pressure and… oh, well, it's coming. Can you push for me?"
"Don't really have a choice. OH GODS!"
….
You were certainly having quite the day.
First light training with The Collector, getting into town for new items that you didn't have to pay for because, as it were, news travels fast here. Helping deliver not one, but two newborns when you had no idea what you were doing. You can't just pull out a baby like you can a cosset. There's timing and finesse and thankfully everyone is doing just fine.
The look on Keeva's face when you told her to push again was bamboozled.
Gaz and packed and stuffed a sturdy wheelbarrow with fur and linen, had wrapped up her newborns in the softest of materials he had as they wailed, being welcomed into the world. You held the babies as Gaz helped Keeva lay back onto it, smiling exhaustedly, as you handed her her babes. She thanked you over and over again, even as you hefted the wheelbarrow up and slowly and with the utmost care, walked the now four of you home.
A group of teasing kids met you as drew closer, your limbs on fucking fire but safety is key and first. You've got a brand new mother to look after! A blood eagle was the last thing on your mind, there was absolutely no way you'd strand your newfound friend in any type of need or aide.
"Price! Father! Their back! Come see, come look!" The children shouted, bouncing and running and eventually cooing as the noticed the little bundles in Keeva's arms.
Price, in all bearded glory practically kicked open the front door to their homestead, curious and eventually ran over to you as you settled the contraption down, hunched over and just about ready to pass out.
"You… how… two babes?! Twins!" Price was overjoyed, tears flowing sweetly down his cheeks. The rest of the village had come to see all the commotion as well. He patted you on the back after helping his wife into the house.
When everything had settled down you looked up towards the great hall to see König standing in the archway, arms crossed, still shirtless and gave you a head nod of approval.

“Be careful, it's hot,” Donna commented, leaving a steaming cup of tea on the table. You smiled gratefully, nodding as you looked out the window of the old house.
You could have tried to run away, escape from that cursed village, but you didn't. In your work as a photographer you had visited many places, but certainly none like that. A village set back in time, servant and faithful to someone similar to the witches in stories.
But, in reality, you saw no reason to do so. One priestess, four Lords, that was the system by which that place functioned. A castle, a dam, a factory, a house. Of all your options, the house was the best one.
Donna Beneviento, ventriloquist and doll maker, had a series of nightmares prepared for you, to drive you crazy.
You fought against those hallucinations, you screamed, you ran away until it was no longer necessary. No matter how much fear a woman like her could cause in someone like you, it wasn't enough. She was a mysterious, mourning figure that hid her face behind a black veil. The mystery overcame the fear and you stopped living those nightmares, to live in dreams.
Little by little, you got to know that woman, and the more you did, the more you fell in love with her. Compassion, love, you couldn't say why you didn't end up jumping into the void, down that waterfall. Maybe it was that Donna was as lonely as you in this world, maybe she didn't want to kill the last ray of hope of dark and lonely life.
So there you were, you had been on that estate for months and you didn't regret it at all. Her hidden beauty, which you forced her to show you, the changes Mother Miranda caused in her body, everything that gave her a complex was suddenly eclipsed by your kisses, by your words of love, by the whish to leave your boring life behind to join hers.
“Thank you, Donna,” you said kindly, as she sat in front of you, looking at you with that same bewilderment from the first day. An eternity could pass, but Donna would still wonder why you decided to stay, why you loved a sick, dark woman like her.
Her corners turned up as she raised her own cup to her lips. You sighed as you remembered everything that had brought you there, and above all, when you thought about the reasons that made you never want to return home, reasons that sat in front of you like every afternoon, that you hugged every night, reasons that had a first and last name: Donna Beneviento.
“Is it, is it to your liking?” She asked timidly, with the soft and hoarse melody she had for a voice. You smiled even wider, pretending you hadn't comically burned yourself.
“Yes, I... Ugh, it's perfect,” you said, fanning your mouth in a funny way, to which she laughed in a shy and funny way, looking away.
“I told you it was hot,” she murmured, with a knowing whisper, with that so intense look which could even pierce your skin.
“I should learn to listen,” you joked, shaking your head. “That's what they told me at school.”
“Did they tell you that it was hot?” The lady asked, disconcerted. You would always admire that shy innocence.
“No,” you said, laughing, making Donna look at you confused. “They told me that I didn't know how to listen.”
Donna Beneviento was a lonely woman. She had been alone for so many years so human relationships didn’t exist in her own world. At first you were surprised by those curious reactions to simple phrases or expressions, but little by little, you got used to them, finding them adorable in their own way.
“It's funny, they told me the same thing,” she said, with a melancholic smile. You nodded, blowing away the smoke of that burning tea.
“Did they? Because I think there is no one in this world who is capable of listening as well as you,” you said in a soft voice, making your compliments, once again, to get her cheeks blush.
“That's not true,” she said, downplaying that true fact.
After days of nightmares, you had only heard her speak through the Angie doll. It took a lot for Donna to be able to communicate with her own voice, even after your first kiss.
“Well, well, I don't want to contradict you but... Yes it is,” you whispered the last sentence, making the smile light up her face again, hiding it shamefully behind her cup of tea.
There was a small moment of silence, one of hundreds every day. A contemplative moment, in which your photographic eye admired each of her features, her figure. Yes, there was nothing more beautiful for your camera, you were sure.
“Mmm,” you murmured, savoring that delicious artisanal tea that Donna adored you with every day. “It's delicious.”
“Everything I make is delicious according to you,” she whispered, suspicious. Alert, insecurity approaching at high speed.
“Well, yes,” you said with a serious tone, crossing your arms. “Everything.”
Donna smiled again, shaking her head.
“Don’t say those things…. You know it makes me ashamed,” she said with a pink tone on her cheeks, with a mischievous but shy look at the same time.
“What did I say?” You asked amused, leaning your back on the couch.
“You know what you said,” Donna said hurriedly, with her hands trembling because of the shyness and nervousness caused by your seductive gaze. Yes, you said it on purpose.
“I said I like everything you make to me,” you said with an indifferent tone, ignoring that too obvious insinuation. “Why are you ashamed of that?”
“Because I... You know, you mean...” She stammered, further evidencing her nervousness.
“Your food,” you joked, leaving her completely confused and much more embarrassed.
“My food?” Donna asked, blinking profusely, looking with her eye for a place to hide after that sentence.
“Yes, of course, what did you think I was referring to, Donna?” You asked, biting your lip. Maybe you shouldn't play with her that much... But it was quite funny.
“I don't... You know what? I'm going to get more tea,” she said, getting up from the armchair to cowardly flee, as always when the conversation got a bit hotter.
“Uh, uh, honey…” You said hurriedly, standing up and grabbing her wrist tenderly, caressing her soft skin with your thumb. “Come on… Don't be nervous, it was just a joke.”
Donna nodded, letting you grab her waist and pull her into a slow, loving kiss, calming her breathing with it.
“So...” She murmured, with a more relaxed expression, playing with the buttons of your blouse. “You like my food.”
“I love it,” you said amused, stealing another quick kiss from her. “You have to show me how to make it.”
“Sure, of course,” she said, excited by the idea, moving away from you and dragging you back to the tea place.
“Before I met you, the only thing I could make was something prepared in the microwave,” you explained, sitting down again, changing the conversation to an easier and less... Hot one.
She nodded curiously, sipping her tea calmly, as if that little joke had never happened.
“Once, I remember that I had to promote some diet products. I was eating protein bars for a month, I guess that's my level of cooking,” you commented amused, remembering that part of your past. Donna looked at you curiously again, frowning.
“Em... Yes, I...”
“You didn't understand anything I said, did you?” You joked, making her shake her head, scratching the back of her neck.
“Niente”
“Niente,” you repeated, amused. “Well, I worked being a model once, you know, I had to take photos with products, with clothes...”
“Model?” She asked, this time leaning towards you, showing interest in that detail. You nodded, not caring.
“Yes, well, I had to pay for the photography academy somehow,” you explained with that same amused tone, which calmed down when you saw her confused and with an intriguing face. “Once a man from a clothing brand came and well, it is known that he found me attractive enough for the job.”
“A man? What man?” Donna asked abruptly, you couldn't tell if she was curious or annoyed.
“Well, one man...” You whispered, studying her movements. “Bah, it doesn't matter, that's part of my past.”
“It matters, who was that stronzo?” She asked, with a dark and worried tone. You should already know that your past, like lovers and relationships, was a completely forbidden topic in that house.
“Hey, don't worry, Donna, he was just a businessman,” you said, moving your hands to calm her increased, nervous breathing. “It's not a dark thing at all, I promise you. I just let them to take photos with new clothes, or things like that.”
“What things?” She asked, still with distrust in her voice.
“You know what? I better show you, I still have my photo book,” you said, patting your knees and walking towards the room.
Everything that had to do with the modern world aroused a certain curiosity in the lady in black, but also jealousy, a lot of jealousy. You couldn't blame her for being possessive, not after knowing her past. Maybe you thought it was a good idea to show her what you did when you modeled.
“Come, sit here,” you said, indicating the woman to come to your side, while you opened the photo book for the first page.
“It's you,” Donna said, bringing her closer to that photo, a bit provocative one, to be honest.
“Yes, of course, see? I wore clothes that they wanted to promote and they took photos of me, nothing strange,” you said, turning each of the pages slowly, being studied by the lady in black, who couldn't help but smile. “I looked beautiful, huh?”
“So beautiful…” She whispered with a tender smile, running her hand over one of the photos of her. “That dress is interesting. Maybe I can make a similar one for you.”
You nodded curiously, studying her reactions. Everything seemed to be going well, just one more afternoon in which you dedicated yourselves to talking about your past life, to astonish Donna with the world she didn’t know about, and she would never know about, the world you didn't want to return to.
“What is this?” She asked after a few minutes, with her expression changed, showing you a photo that occupied both sides of the book. A photo that even made you blush.
“Oh, well...” You whispered, taking the book and not having an answer that would help her face to relax. “Me, posing, with a dress.”
“That's not a dress, (Y/N), it's more like a long scarf, not even that,” she said angrily, looking at you with an expression that alerted even more jealousy. You had to make an effort to hold back your laughter at the reaction and shook your head.
“No, no, it's a dress, do you see the sleeves?” You said, pointing to a part of the photograph.
“What I'm seeing are your breasts,” Donna responded, without looking at your face, with her eye fixed on that photo, which, yes, was a little too suggestive.
“Oh, they can't be seen at all,” you said, downplaying it. Donna sighed, ignoring your excuses. “They are well covered.”
“I can see them,” she corrected, with a brusque tone. “You say everyone could see these photos?”
“Well, yes,” you said whispering, closing the book and leaving it on the side of the couch, with a shameful smile. “At least during the advertising campaign.”
“The campaign... Let's see if I find out, are you telling me that everyone could see you showing your breasts?” She asked, with an annoyed tone, her chest rising and falling rapidly again.
“Well, not everyone…” You said, shaking your head and rolling your eyes. “Only those who passed by the bus stop on line 4, those who bought fashion magazines, those who went to a hairdresser, those who…”
“Basta,” she said, having a hard time. Unlike you, who was having a lot of fun because of her absurd jealousy.
“Besides, you can't see my breasts, I've already told you,” you said in your defense, feigning anger and crossing your arms. “I don't understand why it bothers you, Donna. You've seen them too... And I know you love them,” you said in a seductive tone, nudging her, making her head turn towards you abruptly, with that childish anger in her look.
“I'm your girlfriend, (Y/N),” she hissed, revealing what you were to her right at that moment. You hadn't thought about it, but you knew that girlfriend wasn’t enough. She was the woman of your life.
“Oh, I see... You're jealous, huh?” You asked with a funny tone, launching yourself at her body to tickle her, which made her laugh, trying to push you away. “How jealous are you…”
“Stop, (Y/N),” she said, holding your hands so they would stop playing with her dress, diluting that funny moment with jealousy. “I don't understand why you had to do something like that. Showing your body to everyone is...”
“It was a temporary job, nothing serious, Donna,” you said calmer, worrying because her jealousy didn't seem to give in to your cuddling.
“It seems serious to me,” the lady in black protested, trying to calm herself down with your little tricks for anxiety. “I don't even want to think about how many people have seen you and…”
“Hey, come on. It's okay,” you said, wrapping your arms around her and rubbing her body to comfort her, something that usually worked. “That's the past.”
“That's what you say, but I don't even want to think about how many people look at those magazines and... (Y/N), they probably masturbated with that photo,” she said with a serious tone. But the words entered your mind causing you to laugh, a laugh that you couldn't contain.
“Masturbated? Donna… Really?” You said laughing, but with a stab of reality hitting you in the back. Well, she could be right and that was… Disturbing.
“I don't see where the fun is. I'm completely serious,” Donna protested, moving away from you to show how offended she was by your laughter.
“Yes, yes, it's just that... It's a very uncharacteristic statement for you,” you explained, letting her know the reason for your amusement. When Donna was nervous, she might say that kind of things. Well, nervous or terribly excited.
“Why? I used to masturbate before I met you. It’s a natural need” she said, still with that abrupt tone. You had to stop laughing or Donna would get really angry and you didn't want that.
“Oh...” You whispered with a different tone, returning to that tireless seduction that your body was asking for. “I see… And would you have done it by looking at that photo?” You asked in her ear, making her body shiver and the blush return to her cheeks.
“Yes, (Y/N),” she said in a barely audible voice, her fists clenched on her knees. “That's why I don't understand how you could...”
She couldn't continue speaking, because your lips crashed against hers abruptly, kissing her wildly, trying to make her passion blind her jealousy, at least a bit.
“I would love to see you doing that...” You whispered, giving her one last kiss and checking that your actions had an effect, making her smile slightly.
“Um, (Y/N), I...” She stammered, fleeing from the caresses you made on her chest, caresses that distracted her from her anger with unprecedented success. Maybe it had been the sight of your barely covered breasts that made her calm down. That excited you, a lot.
But an idea appeared in your head to interrupt that moment, a much better one, one that would dispel the doll maker's jealousy forever, or so you thought.
“Mm, I have an idea, Donna,” you said thoughtfully, making curiosity return to her face.
“What idea?” She asked, moving nervously on the couch, revealing her excitement, trying to hide it in the black fabric of her dress, a detail that you, of course, didn’t overlook.
“What do you think if you do a photo session for me? One just for you...” You proposed, resting your head in your hand and biting your lip as you saw how she played with her dress to hide her enthusiasm.
“A photo session?” The lady asked curiously, frowning, but interested, of course.
“Uh-huh,” you stated, taking her hand so she would stop playing with the black fabric and you could caress her. “One that only you can look at…”
“Only me...” She sighed with a smile, intertwining your fingers.
She seemed to think about it for a few seconds, but, after that time, she nodded profusely, giving you her approval.
“Wait, I'm going to get the camera,” you said amused, running towards the elevator stopping at the last moment to pick up your old modeling album with an amused expression. “I'll take this, to avoid temptations...” You joked, calming her protest at your inappropriate comment with a kiss on the cheek.
Well, at least you had managed to solve the jealousy problem and the idea sounded quite... Funny in your head, well, also in your head.
“Say cheese,” you said jokingly, shooting a photo towards the couch, catching Donna off guard, almost blinding her with the flash.
“Don't do that, (Y/N)” she protested, rubbing her eye while you laughed in amusement, looking at the result on the small screen.
“Oh, look how pretty you are...” You said, ignoring her complaints and showing her that improvised photo. Her natural expression was truly worthy of one of your favorite works, of course.
Donna leaned in to look at herself, and she stepped back immediately, shaking her head.
“No, I'm horrible,” she said, with that tone that betrayed nervousness, the fierce attack of her complexes again. You caressed her cheek, forcing her to look at you.
“You're beautiful, Donna, the camera doesn't lie,” you said softly, placing your lips on hers.
“But you do,” she said, ignoring your compliment, looking askance at that improvised photo. “I could never be a model like you. Not with my hideous face.”
“Oh, come on, Donna... You know you're beautiful, you know it, I know you know it,” you said, relaxing a bit, wiping away a tear that was slowly running down her cheek.
“I know you don't think that way but... Thank you,” she whispered, closing her eye due to your caresses, resting her hand on yours, squeezing it against her skin. You smiled, kissing her again, not insisting on making her complexes disappear. You had your whole life to get it.
“I have to make some room on the memory card... I took a lot of photos when I arrived at the village,” you commented, ignoring that conversation, which was getting really sad. “Oh, what the…? Angie!”
You shouted to the doll as you flipped through photo after photo, showing the irreverent puppet posing comically in many of them. What a session she had given herself.
“What do you want, stupid stranger?” The doll Asked, running towards you in a graceful and fast manner, climbing into the lap of her owner.
“Have you been playing with the camera?” You asked, ignoring her contempt. You would always be a threat to Donna, Angie would never like you, or so you thought.
“No,” she responded childishly, earning a suspicious look from her owner. You blinked in disbelief, turning the camera towards her.
“What is this?” You asked, going through the photos that the doll had taken one by one, making her laugh with a sinister laugh.
“Mmm, it looks like me,” the doll murmured, making you roll your eyes, with a severe pose, reminding yourself of your parents when you did something wrong.
“Yes, yes... What have I told you about touching my stuff?” You protested, sighing. “You could have broken it.”
-But I haven't... Look, Donna, this photo is great, don't you think? It's me, with me, and with you...” the doll said, ignoring your scolding, pointing to one of the photos that had Angie posing next to the portrait on the stairs.
Donna smiled, looking at you amused. You were incapable of getting as angry as you wanted.
“Wonderful, Angie, you are quite an artist,” you mocked, trying not to laugh to emphasize your annoyance. “Although I have to admit that I'm surprised that you've learned to handle the camera that well,” you said, more to yourself than to her. Angie jumped mockingly, pleased by your admiration.
“It's easy, stupid, you just have to hit that button,” she said, pressing the camera trigger and blinding you with the flash.
“Oh, shit...” You said closing your eyes and listening to the puppet laughing as she cowardly ran away from you. “Damn…”
“Are you okay, tesoro?” Donna asked, with a hand on her mouth that prevented you from seeing she was laughing. Laughing at you, of course.
“Yes, I... Are you laughing at me, Donna?” You asked amused, blinking to eliminate the lights that formed your eyes after that flash.
“No,” she said with the doll's fake tone, something that made you sigh with tenderness.
“Well, well, we'll see if you laugh so much after the photos you're going to take of me...” You sighed, getting up from the couch.
“But, but I don't know how to use that device,” she protested, allowing herself to be dragged towards the elevator.
“If Angie could do it, so can you... Come on, I have a lot of ideas...”
It took you a while, but you finally managed to make an improvised photography set. The place chosen was the doll workshop, one of the bleakest parts of the house, but artistically perfect. All those wooden limbs hanging from the ceiling and its stone walls and floor made it an ideal place for that private session, one that you were eager to begin.
“Just a bit more...” You said, giving instructions to the brunette to move a wooden table, which you would desecrate with your sensual poses “Perfect, leave it there.”
Donna sighed, unable to hide the desire she had for those photos, for that gift for her, just for her.
“Come,” you said, gesturing towards the tripod where you had placed your camera, pointing it at the middle of the room. The lady in black approached slowly, studying that curious device. “Look, Donna, you can see what you are going to photograph through this gap here. Come on, take a look.”
The lady obeyed nervously, looking into the camera and smiling afterwards, letting you know that she understood you.
“Whatever appears here will be seen later on that screen, right?” She asked curious. You nodded.
“Yes, but don't use it as a reference, the light could deceive you. Okay, then you keep the lens centered and put your finger on the button, like this,” you said, taking her hand and gently placing her finger on the button, making the lens move. “You see? You have to press it softly first to get it to focus, otherwise it will be blurry.”
“Oh, it seems complicated,” Donna whispered, checking what was in front of the camera and then above it.
“It's not, trust me. You'll do it great...” You said, patting her on the back and heading towards the suitcase you brought with you, choosing what your first item of clothing was going to be. “If you can’t, I can tell Angie to do it…”
“No,” she said abruptly. “I can do it.”
You nodded with a smile. Naturally, that was the answer you expected.
“Well, then... How about this one to start?” You said, displaying that red and provocative dress that aroused so much jealousy in the brunette.
“(Y/N)...” She hissed, annoyed by your choice.
“You don’t like it? My breasts can be seen with it...” You hummed, waving the garment comically until a shy smile formed on her face as she shook her head.
“Shut up and put it on,” Donna ordered, hiding her embarrassment with the camera while you played with the red fabric, making it look even more provocative.
Your modeling days were still evident in your actions, posing naturally under her attentive gaze, perhaps too attentive. You posed in a much more provocative way, making her hands shake when taking the photographs.
It was funny, very funny, especially when it came to raising a bare leg towards the table, or kneeling on it in a seductive pose, which made Donna have to clear her throat several times to focus.
After that dress, successive combinations of the clothes you brought to the village came: lace bras, negligees, your entire wardrobe being captured by the camera lens, as well as by the eye of Lady Beneviento, who seemed to enjoy that seductive vision, the provocative poses and the increasingly obvious lack of clothes.
“You like them?” The brunette asked after a fun and exciting time. You flipped through the photos and nodded in surprise. They were good, much better than you thought. Luckily, none of them would ever leave that house.
“Sure, it's a good job, Donna,” you said, hugging her waist from behind, making her laugh pleased. “Besides, they are all for you.”
“Yes, that's the best...” she sighed, looking carefully at the places of your naked skin, which you exposed on purpose.
“Wait, the best is yet to come,” you said amused, moving away from her and leaving the workshop.
“(Y/N)? Where are you going?” Donna asked, confused by your sudden escape.
You ran to the bedroom, eagerly looking for that piece of clothing you wanted to use on a crazy idea in your head, an idea that presented itself in the middle of that improvised session.
“Can I use it?” You asked, entering the workshop again and carrying Donna's black veil in your hand, that veil with which she covered her face long ago, and with which she continued to do so with anyone that wasn’t you.
“Um, yes, but... What do you want it for?” She asked confused, watching how you played with the black fabric in your hands.
“Well, I've thought that I would like a couple of photos with it on, if you don't mind, of course,” you explained, looking at that fabric, looking for the correct way to put it on.
“Fi, fine,” the lady in black murmured turning it over, and placing it on your head making you laugh with amusement.
“How can you see anything with this thing?” You joked, reaching out to touch her while you tried to make out something with your eyes. “Donna? Who turned off the light?”
“Stop fooling around and stand there, tesoro,” she said, amused, pushing you towards the table, which you prevented by digging your feet into the floor.
“Wait, wait... I'm not ready,” you whispered in her ear, moving away from her and pulling at the tie that kept one of your dresses stuck to your body. “I want you to take some photos of me with the veil on...”
“Yes, you already said that,” she said, confused, interrupted by a finger between her lips.
“Just with the veil on,” you whispered, slurring your words as the clothing covering you fell to the stone floor, leaving Donna in the same material, looking at you up and down, checking that during your escape to the bedroom, your underwear also disappeared.
“I think you like the idea, don't you?” You whispered again, biting her earlobe and running your hands over her body, caressing the incipient bulge in the black fabric of her dress.
She nodded nervously, closing her eyes at your fleeting touch, one that disappeared at the same time you walked away from her, leaning on the wooden table.
“Come on, move, Donna. Shoot,” you said seductively, making Donna blink and shake her head, her entire body trembling from the view she had.
Her attitude was much more nervous than before, taking her time with each photograph. You played with your body, opening your legs slightly, moving the fabric away from your face to show how you were biting your lip. It was a vision too erotic for Donna, who could not bear more than a dozen photographs.
“Wait, (Y/N),” she said stuttering, making you laugh and get off the table where you were kneeling, pushing the veil away from your face again.
“I hope you captured these last ones well, Donna, I think they're going to be your favorites,” you joked, continuing with your sensual movements, moving your hips in an exaggerated way as you walked slowly towards her.
“They definitely are,” the lady said, her voice low, moving away from your naked body, only covered in that black cloth.
“Mm, this photo session has warmed me up,” you murmured, removing the veil from your face and playing with it in your hands, surrounding the neck of the brunette with it. Donna was receding more and more. “Where are you going, my love?”
“Um, I...” She stammered, unable to speak clearly, with a marked and suggestive accent as she was dragged by her own veil towards your naked body.
“You're hot too, huh?” You asked on her lips, touching them but without kissing them, taking advantage of that erotic moment that you were not going to lose. “Shall we take a break, Donna?”
She nodded, unable to resist the temptation of kissing you in a hot, wet way, bringing her body closer to yours, making her arousal more than evident, something that made you moan in anticipation.
“I want to take you, (Y/N),” she whispered in your ear, making your entire body tremble in satisfaction from that statement. You smiled and raised an eyebrow, holding her gaze and pulling the black fabric closer.
“Mm yes, it could be a good break,” you said, removing the veil from her neck and walking towards the table, opening your legs again, shiny with excitement, making the humidity between them more than evident, running a finger through your folds under her attentive gaze and slow steps.
“Wait,” she said, approaching, but with something in her eye that made her reveal a hidden intention. “Put it on again, please,” she whispered, taking the piece of black cloth that was still in your hands and putting it back on your head, to which you frowned and laughed amused.
“Oh, fine...” You whispered, pulling on her waist, with the black fabric clouding your vision, but not your senses, which were beginning to burn with the kisses that Donna began to place on your neck. “Wow, do you like that?”
Donna didn't speak, nor did she nod. She simply caressed your face beneath her veil, letting you know her response as she played with the buttons of her dress.
You gasped at her seductive, burning touch, at how her hands ran over your bare skin, at how they covered your breasts while her mouth traveled down your neck and her body rocked against yours.
You laughed, closing your eyes, noticing how her hand moved the fabric away so her lips could devour yours for a few moments while her fingers played with your nipples and her obvious erection rubbed against your body.
“Mm, Donna...” You murmured, opening her dress so her torso was revealed to you, so her pale skin would send shivers through your body.
“Shh, silenzio,” she whispered, laughing sinisterly, squeezing one of your breasts with subtle strength, which made you gasp with pleasure and move your hips against her body. “They are mine, you understand?” She asked. “Just nod.”
You obeyed, curious about that question, about that attitude so out of the ordinary for Donna.
“Only mine, (Y/N)...” She sighed again, joining the movements of your body as her own bra gave way in your skillful and mischievous hands, hands that she grabbed immediately. “No, no, tesoro…”
“I'm yours?” You asked, defying her order to keep you quiet, pushing aside her veil so you could shamelessly capture her lips, making her move away, placing her hands on your chest.
“Mine, (Y/N),” she responded, slowly turning you around and leaning over the wooden table, leaving you completely exposed to her desires, to her body's desire to dominate yours, to make it hers, again.
“Very well, then make me yours,” you said amused, separating your legs, making her gasp at the exciting vision she had before her. Your face was still covered by that black cloth, which she placed in such a way that it wouldn't move, before leaning down to your ear and pressing her shaft against your wetness, now free of her underwear.
“Don't take it off, (Y/N)...” Donna whispered softly as her hands ran down your back, down your legs, until one of her fingers ran through your wet folds, making you moan and nod, moving your legs.
Her caresses were slow, almost like a small warning of what was to come. The wetness that permeated her fingers was enough to make her moan as well. The position you were in and the veil prevented you from seeing her face. You knew she was smiling, you knew she had that smile.
“Shh, stay still,” she told you, lowering your back so it leaned on the table while her finger played with your entrance, with your clit, moving in circles so your hips demanded a little more contact, just a little more.
Her hot commands entered your ears like a current of warm air, causing your legs to spread even further and her finger to slide inside of you slowly, making your world spin, making you fervently desire more contact, more pleasure, more Donna.
“Stop playing with me,” you protested, amused, feeling her finger curl inside of you, exploring your body, getting your walls used to the contact.
“I like to play with you,” she hissed, raising your back so she could kiss you on your neck and continue dancing with your body.
“Donna, don't make me suffer,” you begged, clenching your fists on the table as her finger disappeared from your body and her hands roamed your chest from behind, squeezing your breasts, claiming them as hers.
“Okay...” She sighed, leaving that game aside and approaching you, placing her shaft at your entrance but just playing with it, running through your folds in a hot and wet caress.
You moaned at the contact, at her erection caressing your body, making you claim her to be inside of you with a few discreet movements of your hips.
“Donna,” you said with a more serious tone, hitting the table with one of your fists, looking at her through the sides of the veil. “Please…”
She sighed, but she didn't say anything. She simply complied with your wishes, slowly inserting the tip, letting your body adjust to hers. You moaned in pleasure, noticing how your walls stretched, hugging her body in a terribly exciting way.
“Am I hurting you?” She asked by surprise at your hisses of pleasure. Donna always will be the kind innocent woman in black. She couldn't be any other way.
“No, no, move, please,” you said, moaning with pleasure when she was completely in you, sliding along your wet and eager insides.
She obeyed your request slowly also beginning to moan at the sensation, gently grabbing your hips to maintain a stable rhythm, but it couldn't help but be anxious, desperate.
The wooden table creaked under your movements, adding to the wet sounds of your improvised lustful act, turning that sinister room into the warmest one ever, the most obscene ever.
“You're so wet, (Y/N)...” Donna whispered in an amused tone, panting as she moved inside of you, alternating strong thrusts with weaker, more intense ones. Just the way you liked it. That was just for you. “Did you like posing for me?”
You smiled, grabbing the edge of the table to keep from losing your balance, moving your hips to match her thrusts, to feel how your walls hugged her erection, how they made it slide inside and almost out of you.
“Mmm, yes, I love posing for you,” you said almost without thinking, overwhelmed by pleasure, by all the sensations you had experienced, by the relief you felt between your legs and by the excitement that wearing that veil caused you.
“I see...” She murmured, laughing amusedly as she leaned over you, reaffirming her control, reaffirming that you were hers, reaffirming that she was inside of you and you, even if you wanted to, couldn't get away. You didn't want to either.
“Donna, fuck... I'm, I'm close,” you moaned with a growl, noticing how your body tensed little by little, how the pleasure clouded your vision much more than the black veil.
“You're rude, (Y/N)” she said, amused, giving you a small spank on one of your buttocks, which was the spark your body needed to arch completely, letting yourself be carried away by the waves of pleasure from your orgasm. A scandalous one, probably the most scandalous one you had ever had.
Donna held you tightly so she could continue moving inside of you, this time much faster, affirming with her actions how close she was to possessing you again. It didn't take long to happen, causing the heat to accompany your orgasm with her wet caresses, making you full of her again.
The lady sighed, letting herself fall onto your back, staying very close to you, inside of you as her body relaxed, enjoying the obscene wetness that dripped between your legs.
Exhausted, you turned around, pushing the black fabric away with one hand while you kissed her, as long as you owed her that love that you used to give her in those situations. Although this time, she didn't seem to feel insecure at all.
“I love you,” she said, returning to her being, returning to being the shy and affectionate Donna that a lust caused by you had hidden for a moment.
You took off the veil, passing it back around her neck and pulling it, looking at her with a loving and satisfied expression at the same time.
“Me too...” You sighed, returning her affection with a slow, loving and tender kiss, far from the previous actions. “Hey, I've been thinking...”
“What?” She asked curiously, burying her head in your shoulder, letting herself be embraced by your protective arms.
“I would really like to take some photos of you with the veil on too, just with the veil on...”

Sometimes I think about all of Vax's story and it's so wild?
Especially now Campaign 3 has ended and his story, seemingly, has finally ended as well?
Idk what Critical Role plans on doing next, maybe we'll see him again later on, who knows. 🤷
But like... Vax'ildan went from a child born in poverty to a single mother in a small village in the countryside with no future...
To a wealthy but unloved and mistreated heir of a nobleman and city ambassador in a city that never dared to care for him...
To a scared run away struggling to survive while grieving his mother after learning she was killed by a dragon while he was away, trying to keep his sister safe by any means necessary...
To a criminal by force to continue protecting his sister, witnessing horrors beyond his wildest comprehension and doing things that surely break your mind...
To a witless adventurer who stumbles from one fight to another, trying to make enough gold for a bed every now and then, now trying to protect so many more people while not necessarily feeling like he really belongs with those people...
To an accidental hero, killing a dragon and demons and other things you can't understand...
To a victim of something so rawly intimate and strange and scary while trying to help a friend...
To a saviour of a city lost to evil years ago, but broken inside by the things he's gone through just to get close to this point...
To a refugee in a world torn apart by dragons who he may have unknowingly had a hand in waking up and pissing off...
To becoming the champion of the god of death unwillingly after his sister died and he tried to sell his soul to save her life but it didn't go the way he had imagined...
To killing the very dragon who had killed his mother, having now accepted his championhood...
To dying during his relatively new girlfriend's magical trial in the elemental plane of water, being brought back soon afterwards...
To living peacefully as what is essentially a trophy boyfriend for the length of one whole year...
To hunting down enemies once thought dead, trying to stop them from helping an evil litch ascend as a tyrannical god...
To being killed by said litch, the litch ascending anyway...
To coming back, undead, to banish the litch as part of a new deal with his goddess...
To leaving, ascending almost himself, to serve his god as her divine and somewhat undead champion after the litch is gone...
To being unable to be with the ones he loves most, but breaking rules to protect them anyway...
To one day being trapped in a magical contraption, ever in pain, to further a plan to kill the gods after his girlfriend he's not been with for 30 years was used as bait in the trap built for him...
To suddenly being freed by his girlfriend and his sister and their old adventuring party turned family, but it's not over yet...
To being granted one night of relief and catching up before being pulled away again...
To... Nearly losing his god... But not... And being made mortal again... But with extra life?...
And his goddess is also mortal now, now a child that he needs to find and protect with the help of another champion of his god...
But he gets to be with the sister, the family and the girlfriend he had to leave about 30 years ago when he ascended again...
He has to learn how to not be dead anymore, and he needs to start all over again with his girlfriend, and the work is never finished... But he's happy again.
Vax'ildan is home again.
GODS, HIS STORY IS WILD
Like... WHAT?! HELLO?!
This is like... Insane?!
My poor sweet boy went through so much shit... Oh my gods...
But he's home again.
He can be with his family again.
Oh my fucking gods.

Creeping (2) (Dark Link x Reader x Link)
Basic summary: You're in Kakariko recovering from your battle with Dark Link. You discover you didn't come home alone.
A/n: This is a HEAVILY revised version of the chapter! I completely ignored a certain major wound that Dink easily could've put back to use, so I've reflected that realization in the new plot.
This is a dark and violent fic that is not intended for children nor sensitive audiences. Read at your own risk
Read the first chapter here MASTERLIST
The sun shines bright on Kakariko village. Children are beginning to drag their parents outside so they can play, cuccos are being given their morning feed, and in many other ways life is starting to be lived. All is well for the residents of Kakariko.
Except for you, you're covered in tears and sweat as you heave with sobs after waking from a nightmare, clutching your midsection. Ever since Link brought you home a few days ago, the monster who wields his face shows up every time you sleep and mentally shatters you. Ever since you were literally brought back from death, every burst of air filling your lungs has felt unusually heavy.
"Don't think- don't think too hard about it," you whisper sharper than you intend to, hoping talking will help distract your focus. The sudden clench of your abs sends an immense sting from your stomach up your spine. "It's not here, it's at the temple in Lake Hylia, Link is going to kill it." You hug your knees to your chest and try to do more than just hope you're right. You try to do more than wince in pain and pray. Your voice cracks into a whisper when you try to say it again, "he's going to kill it." You repeat it in a mantra, a hope, a prayer, that Link will come home safe, your voice shaky from pain. You vow to repeat it as often as you need, even if you choked on your own breath.
"Of course he will, I got stuck with you instead of Mr. hErO," you jolt and press yourself against the wall, sputtering and gagging, meanwhile this darker Link continues on casually, like he's used to this, "you just had to try to be brave didn't you? I'll show you what that earns in this world, and then I'll go recover my powers from that thief," he growls. Before you can register it you're thrown against the opposite wall of the room, landing just next to your door. There's no air left in you as your vision spins and you desperately look around for purchase. You can barely breathe, you can barely think, everything feels simultaneously so fast and infinitely slow. The stab wound from the temple throbs and stings incessantly, scattering any attention you can manage to gather.
The monster saunters over to your crumpled form, gripping your face hard when you choke out, "wh- what do you-" before squeaking and shutting up. His nails aren't anywhere near as well-groomed as Link's, shaped like claws and steadily digging into your cheeks. You don't miss the glee in his eyes, which are blood-red, as he watches you stiffen and cringe in his grip.
"I don't need to mean anything," he begins going through your bags, "because it seems like the brave little princess forgot her fairy wings this time."
Your healing items. You had given them all to Link before he left for the temple again! You don't have anything to take care of yourself in case of an emergency, you don't have any way to scream for help with the grip he has on your face, and you have no vantage to fight back. Even if you did, you doubt you could make sudden moves without collapsing. Tears fall as you come to the realization: if he kills you here and now your death is permanent. If he kills you here and now Link and Navi will return to greet your corpse. Dear Hylia, please save me, you desperately think.
He hovers his other hand over your stomach and your blood freezes. You don't get time to think when he starts poking at your still-fresh stab wound with a couple of his claws. Your heart starts to race. He smirks and chuckles. Everything in you is screaming, screaming to move, screaming to do something, screaming to get away before he can sink his hand into your stomach and do whatever twisted thing he comes up with, but the better part of you knows that you won't - that you can't. To move here or resist now would spell out a violent death. At least if you can convince your body to sit there and take it, to sit there and let itself die, things will potentially feel… easier. More like it's your choice to die than the whim of a monster. You can't even get your thoughts together to internally wish final goodbyes.
The pain becomes more intense as he starts applying more pressure, efficiently reopening your wound. You want to scream, you would if his hand wasn't in the way. "When this war first started, nothing mattered to me," the pain becomes so bad that you clench your fists until your knuckles turn white. You hate the look of satisfaction as tears openly flow down your face, you hate how much it makes you feel like he's assessing some sort of prey. He only speaks again when he jerks his claw around and you flinch; "and then I was told some boy stole power that was originally meant for me. Could you imagine it, the rage you would feel hunting down something that belongs to you, only for some stupid-" he tightens his grip on your face and sinks his claw into your wound more- "little-" he moves the hand on your face to choke you instead- "girl-" you can't scream. You can't breathe. You can't do anything but tremble and writhe underneath the monster before you- "to come and take it all away?!" It slams you backwards into another wall, causing several fragile objects to fall off of it and break, and you find yourself fighting your gag reflex from having breath you don't have knocked out of you.
At that moment, you hear frantic knocking on your door. "Y/n! Y/n! Hey! Are you okay in there?!" The voices of the villagers outside are enough to spook the monster into disappearing. You can't bring yourself to move and open the door. You don't want anyone to see you like this anyway. What would they think if they found evidence of the darkness in your home? The question makes you shudder.
"I'm- I'm okay!" You manage to call out. "I tripped and knocked some things down!"
"Alright!" You hear the villager chuckling a little bit. Thankfully no other comments follow. You stand up, being careful of any sharp pieces that might cut your feet, and tread to your closet. The object of your focus hangs on the inner door. It's a simple scarf, one you typically wear out on expeditions, but you hadn't worn it to the water temple for fear of, well, the water. Now it will serve as an impromptu bandage to make sure you don't bleed out. You wince as you secure it around the wound, tying it tight to make sure it actually blocks the wound up. You just have to hope someone in the village will have a bottle you can borrow to get some potion.
Link, please come back soon. Please be alive.

Shout out to the medic nins in the Naruto world who keep trying to piece things back together in a world made of violence and destruction.
Shout out to Lady Chiyo, who created a jutsu to give her life force to bring a puppet to life because she knew Sasori missed his parents. Later, Chiyo used that technique to save a girl who took a sword to a vital point to protect her and told her to use the last of the antidote for poison. Later, Chiyo used it to save Gaara after he was long gone, hoping it'd make the world a better place. It was her love that defeated Sasori, what brought him down in the end.
Shout out to Tsunade, who saw the corpse of her little brother after an ambush. She fought so that every team could have a healer having their back and fell in love with the man that supported her. The same man who died with Tsunade's hands covered in his blood, the other man she couldn't save. Shout out for her for saving so many nins, for overcoming her trauma, for becoming hokage and draining herself again and again and again to save others. Shout out to the woman who got cut in half and fought her way back and kept healing and lived to see the world she promised Nawaki and Dan, the world they'd have wanted to create.
Shout to Karin, who was used and abused and who got treated like trash, whose mom died of giving things she didn't want to give, who got bitten in far too private places since she was nothing but a kid. And yet she used her skills to save others. And yet she fought.
Shout out to Shizune, who never left Tsunade's side, who followed the step of her uncle and the woman that should had been his wife. Tsunade, who lost too much in one war and then led the medic corps on the next, the woman who stepped as counselor and assistant for both Tsunade and Kakashi, who cared for the wellbeing of the village more than in just the physical aspect.
Shout out to Kabuto, found his way back from the darkness and devoted his life to atone and heal and do as much good as he could.
Shout out to Rin, who saw one of her teammates get crushed by a rock and had to perform field surgery to remove his eye and give it to her other teammate. The girl who fought and loved and who preferred to die by a friend's hand than to be used as a weapon against the people she loved.
Shout out to Sakura, who saw two of the most realities develop in her teammates lives, so she promised she would become the absolute best and find a way to be strong enough to deal with the aftermath. The girl who used herself as a human shield to protect older people and kids and teammates and enemies. She healed Karin, she offered to be Chiyo's puppet and she held her in death and she led Konoha's hospital and saw it get totally destroyed by Pain, fallen to her knees. She was beaten and mocked and insulted and pushed aside, never enough, but when the medic nins couldn't reach the battlefield, she unlocked in record time and ability only the best medic nin possessed to heal them, so she could fight. In a world of powers and gods, she kept Naruto's heart beating with her hand, breathing for him.
Shout out to every medic nin who got targeted and killed and who risked their lives to save the lives of others. Shout out to the strength it takes to never break, even when death is something you face every day, not only in the battlefield. Shout out to their saviour complexes and the ones who become martyrs and the ones who forget to take care of themselves because they are as valuable.
Medic mins will forever be one of my favorite parts of the Naruto universe.

Chapter One
Masterlist

Wallachia, 1455
Lisa of Lupu had always been a woman who wanted to learn. She always wanted to study so she could heal others. But others, especially men, refused to teach her anything as heretical as medicine. A woman couldn't learn, much less become a doctor.
But that was to misunderstand Lisa.
She did some research after everyone else had decided to refuse to teach her anything. She discovered a man named Vlad Tepes, known as The Impaler and by the name that made everyone tremble: Dracula. A man of immense knowledge.
With nothing left to lose, Lisa packed her things and set out in search of Dracula. He was her only hope of becoming a doctor.
Lisa traveled all over Wallachia until she found the Vampire Lord's castle. It wasn't hard to understand that this immense castle with its strange architecture and surrounded by rotting corpses and skeletons on pikes was Dracula's home. Without fear, Lisa passed through the cemetery, which was supposed to deter overly curious visitors from approaching, but she wasn't afraid to see this man.
A hundred bats came out of their hiding places, flying quickly around Lisa. She drew her dagger, managing to kill one of her beasts before reaching the immense double doors. She looked at the immense door, surprised by the sight of all its strange mechanism. Pistons moved quickly, cogs turned, and a strange light emanated from something she couldn't put a name to. Lisa pulled herself together, taking her courage in both hands, and used the back of her dagger to knock on the door. The two immense doors opened onto a hall lit by chandeliers and hundreds of candles. Lisa entered the castle, walking down the hall when the doors closed, startling him. She quickly glanced toward the doors before looking back at the man at the top of the stairs.
Dracula.
Lisa took a deep breath as she put away her dagger.
"My name is Lisa. I'm from the village of Lupu. I'd like to become a doctor."
Dracula remained silent, watching Lisa from the top of the stairs before disappearing. Lisa stayed where she was. She could hear him moving in the hall, but she couldn't see him.
"Are you knocking on my door to smear chicken blood on the peasants?"
"Don't think I'm a witch. Everyone else already does that. I believe in science," she said firmly. "But I lack knowledge. I've exhausted all my options. And it's widely rumored that the owner of this place holds secret knowledge."
"I'm Vlad Dracula Tepes," he whispered into Lisa's ear, causing her to freeze. "And I receive very little. What do you have to offer in exchange for my knowledge… Lisa of Lupu?"
Lisa frowned, stepping away from Dracula, facing him to give him a stern look.
"Help, reinstilling good manners?" she said, looking at him sternly as Vlad arched an eyebrow and glared at her. "I crossed your threshold and you didn't offer me a drink or the removal of my cloak."
"What if I was the one drinking you?" Vlad asked grimly. "Or are you only drowning in money, crucifixes, and garlic fumes out of superstition?"
Lisa flinched at the mention of garlic. She quickly covered her mouth, explaining that she had to live on roasted garlic, as that was all she had left for food. She explained that she didn't care about superstition and That she didn't want to be a wise man who deceives others with useless remedies. She just wanted to heal people. As she spoke, Dracula hovered around her, listening intently to her words and observing her closely. He wasn't the only one doing this. In the shadows, another person was listening intently to the conversation and observing Lisa closely. The person snorted when he heard Vlad say that this woman was very different from most of the humans he had encountered. The person snorted again when he heard Lisa tell him that she could teach him to love humans again.
Dracula loved humans?
After so many centuries of hating them?
What a joke.
The person was brought out of his thoughts when he noticed that Vlad and the woman were no longer in the entrance hall. It seemed he had agreed to take them under his wing. The person climbed down from his perch, landing gracefully on the floor. The person walked to the front door, opening it a crack to see the bat Lisa had killed. His gaze was impassive. The poor creature's blood was slowly seeping onto the floor, dripping onto the stairs.
He watched the poor bat for a few seconds before closing the door and disappearing into the castle.
(o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o~o)
Dracula's castle was a complex and labyrinthine place. It was easy for someone to get lost in its endless and dangerous corridors. He had even set traps everywhere, and his Night Creatures roamed the halls to protect their master's home.
Lisa looked around perplexed, trying to memorize the surroundings. The young woman stopped when Dracula stopped in front of a door.
"This room will be your bedroom," he said, opening the door, allowing Lisa to enter. "I hope it's to your liking."
Lisa looked around the room. This room was larger than the house where she had been born and raised. There was a double bed in the corner, a desk not far from the fireplace that warmed the room, and an empty bookcase leaned against the wall.
"It's perfect, thank you," Lisa thanked Vlad, smiling. "This room is bigger than the house I grew up in."
"I'm curious. Why would a woman like her want to become a doctor?" asked Vlad, eyeing Lisa curiously. "Men aren't keen on intellectual women, especially female doctors."
"It's true that it's not easy… I've been chased out of many towns and villages. But… I want to help people. I lost my mother to illness… no one was able to cure her. My father supported me a lot. It's thanks to him that I haven't given up on this dream."
"I see… that's very noble of your father. Very few people accept that their daughter becomes a scholar and studies," commented Vlad.
"Yes, he was very supportive," replied Lisa, placing his hand on her necklace.
Vlad observed Lisa's gesture. She was wearing an old chain from which dangled two wedding rings, no doubt those of her parents. The two were startled from their thoughts when one of the bookshelf books fell to the floor. Lisa jumped, looking at the book in surprise. Dracula sighed, walking over to pick it up.
"Sorry about that," he said, putting the book back in the bookcase. "This castle is quite old and full of surprises, most of which aren't the most pleasant. You get used to them after a while."
Lisa watched Vlad puzzled, nodding slightly. Vlad headed for the door, telling her he would send someone to bring her a meal. The vampire left the room, closing the door behind him. He headed down the halls, glancing at the light mist disappearing down the long, dark corridor. He knew that with Lisa here, it wasn't going to be easy.

Jaune The Black Knight
An AU where Jaune and Ruby decided to say Fuck the world, got married after going rogue (they left Beacon after being betrayed by their friends) and had a daughter together named Olivia.
Salem was watching everything through her Grimm and decided to personally invite them to join her faction in turn they will get their revenge. With nowhere else to go they accepted now Ruby leads a battalion of Grimm with Jaune as her Second in Command.
And yes Salem cares about these two adorkable couple and vowed to never let anyone hurt them ever again.
I have baffled long enough, let's get this show on the road.
This particular day Salem ordered for Ruby to get some needed rest after capturing a few villages in her name, Jaune got up from bed and got ready for another day of spreading fear around the world
He showered, brushed his teeth, puts on his black armor, his wife changed Crocea Mor's color scheme, instead of a white shield it's now black with a gold outline and their combined family symbol, instead of a blue hilt it's now blood red, instead of a silver blade it's now a black sword (like the one Sokka made from Avatar the Last Airbender)(As for Jaune's armor, it's the Rusted Knight armor but it's polished and the color is black and gold, helmet included)
Jaune walks into the kitchen where his wife made him some food to go, he grabbed the bag, kissed his wife and turned to leave when suddenly his wife stopped him
Ruby: Wait Jaune, do you know what day it is?
Jaune: Uh... Wednesday?
Ruby: No dummy it's take your daughter to work day!
Jaune: Uh I don't think it's a good idea to bring our daughter to our kind of work, at least not yet.
Ruby: I know, but she has been wanting to come with us for a while and since it's take your daughter to work day I figured now is the best time, plus she'd have my big strong dark knight as her protector~.
Jaune: Well yeah but-
Ruby caressed his face: Jaune you RoseArc-promised.
Jaune sighed: I did didn't I?
3 Hours Later
The scene shows a metal door to one of Atlesian's military bases exploded with Jaune rushes in while holding his daughter's hand but hit his head on the top of the door-way
Jaune holds his head for a second before activating his shield protecting his daughter amd himself from the bullets from the AK's
Jaune: Keep your head down Olvia!
Olivia holding a stuffed Ursa toy: Okay daddy-Whoa!
Jaune quickly dragged Olivia to cover but Olivia lost grip of her best friend.
Olivia: MR. CUZZYBOTTOM!!!
Olivia was about to run out to grab her friend but her father stopped her
Jaune looked down to his daughter and saw her pointing at her stuffed animal which is laying on the ground near the Atlesian Knights
Jaune sighs and looks at Olivia: I'll get him, you stay here where it's safe.
Jaune rushes out of cover, raised his shield and charged at the robot knights
Jaune quckly cut and sliced through the knights, grabbed the toy and rushed back to his daughter
Jaune out of breath and his daughter her toy: Here you go baby.
Salem: Who's the little girl?
Jaune nervous: Oh Lord Salem! Uh... it's bring your daughter to work day and uh I'm sorry for bringing, but my wife says we barely had time to spend together and let's be honest she's right, okay she's right!
Salem:...
Jaune even more nervous laughs a bit: Do you have kids? Cause heh I mean they change your world.
Salem:...
Jaune facepalms and mutters: Ugh I'm probably gonna get either fired or killed for this but... Fuck it.
Jaune grabs his daughter's hand: I love my daughter!
Salem brought her fist to her chest and smiles a bit: That really hits me where I'd live.
Salem noticed a survivor and used her powers to grab his neck
Salem: What have you done with those plans!? Jaune here never gets time to spend with his daughter because of PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!!
Salem snaps the survivor's neck and quickly realized there was a child present
Salem raised her other hand to her mouth: I'm so sorry you had to see that.
Salem drops the body
Salem kneels down to Olivia's eye level: Are you having fun being at work with your father?
Olivia gets nervous because she doesn't like talking to strangers and hides her face behind her father's leg
Salem chuckles: I know I'm pretty scary.
LATER IN MENAGERIE
Jaune was holding his daughter's hand as he and a White Fang goon was patroling a town looking for their targets when suddenly they come across an old man (Ozpin) wearing a hood with Weiss, Blake and Yang behind him also wearing hoods
Jaune stops them: Hold up you all seem familiar.
Ozpin uses his magic: These are not the students you're looking for.
Jaune: These are not the students we're looking for.
Olivia: Yes they are.
Ozpin: Move along
Jaune: Move along!
Ozpin and the three bitche- uh I mean students moved along going into the tavern for intel
Olivia: Daddy, You're not even trying!
Jaune: Honey, It's 110 DEGREES IN THIS CONTINENT!!! I CAN'T HEAR IN THIS THING!!! *points at his helmet* I WAS JUST REPEATING WHAT I THOUGHT THE GUY WAS SAYING! IT'S NOT LIKE IT'S MY OWN MOTHER FUCKING THOUGHT IN THE MATTER, OKAY!?
Olivia runs off crying and Jaune realized what he had done
Jaune feeling guilty and runs after his daughter: HONEY!!!
White Fang Goon: See? That's why I don't take my daugher to Jack Shit!

In search of freedom (Ch. 3)
3. A change of heart

Chapter 2 ; Chapter 3 ; Chapter 4
⠀⠀⠀⠀She's been searching for freedom her entire life and everytime she thought it was laying right in front of her eyes, she was mistaken. She was running around the East Blue, seeking herself and her dreams, meeting people she never forgot. No matter how much she traveled, she could only catch a glimpse of peace before realizing everything would crumble at her feet.
⠀⠀⠀⠀Maybe it was destiny that brought her on that ship with three strangers — foolishly, that's what she tried to believe when the moon shined beautifully and hope settled in her chest, squeezed by the same ribcage where feelings were blooming.
Pairing: female!reader x OPLA Zoro Roronoa.
Warnings for this chapter: anxiety, tarot readings, canon typical violence, tension, mutual pining
Word count: 8k (um? It wasn't supposed to be that long, but I'm not unsatisfied at all)
Theme song: “Hoist the colors” by Bobby bass (click on the link)
A/N: I tried my best to add Zoro's perspective in this part. I don't know if I did a good job or not, but I'm experimenting with writing specific characters and personalities. I think I understand him a tad bit more than I did last time — in case you haven't noticed, I love psychoanalyzing my favorite characters and Zoro is one of them. The last chapter felt quick paced because of the fight, but this one is slow paced; I wanted to stretch the tension that way.
The reader is referred to as "Witch" because I have no intentions of using "Y/N".
I'm open for comments and opinions <3
"He has quite the bounty on his head," the witch commented as she looked at Buggy's wanted poster.
Zoro's fingers gripped tighter at the hilt of his white sword after he huffed.
"I should've killed him."
"And how were you supposed to be paid for it when you're a wanted man yourself?" Luffy laughed at him.
Another huff left the swordsman's lips and he averted his eyes with a scowl.
"I guess that's also right."
He tore the poster from the wall and squeezed it in his fingers, the paper getting destroyed right in front of his eyes.
"Stupid clown," he muttered.
A light chuckle got his attention; the witch who stood with her arms crossed right next to him didn't seem lively at all. Ever since they stepped on land in the Syrup Village, color drained from her face and she was constantly fidgeting and playing with her fingers. It was weird; the swordsman didn't spend much time with the other three, but they weren't impossible to read.
She didn't seem the type to be so awfully quiet. She had smart comments sitting on the tip of her tongue and it wasn't necessarily hard to make her smile; if anything, Luffy's smile was so contagious and it influenced her greatly, Zoro observed. The straw hat wasn't the only one in that situation — each one of them was. The witch somehow knew what to say and how to treat them, how to approach a topic.
Maybe that's why she was called a witch. For the life of it, Zoro didn't like to read between the lines and his usual blunt personality drew people away because they misinterpreted it as rudeness. Did he care? Not really. So why did he suddenly think too much about it? Why was he thinking of ways to get a word out of her mouth?
The woman his eyes were fixated on didn't hear Nami when she appeared, coming back to earth only after Luffy nudged her side with his elbow.
"Let's go find a ship."
She only nodded and followed along, burying one hand in the pocket of her pants. He saw when she bought a pocket knife from a stand and hid it. Zoro guessed her fingers were always curled around the knife for safety reasons, even if her fear seemed irrelevant — nothing was suspicious in that village.
They were the only suspicious people around there. A navigator who is a thief, a green-haired tall man with three swords attached to his hip, a pirate who wore a straw hat and a beautiful witch.
Beautiful, indeed, even if that word alone didn't do the woman enough justice. Not only the way she looked was pretty, but the way she carried herself, how stable she was on her feet, the sparkle in her eyes, the taunting mischief of her gentle smile.
A smile that has been gone for half of a day, now replaced by anxiety. Even a blind man could see the unsettling feeling she was carrying.
Zoro didn't realize when he took the opportunity of looking at her hair bouncing with each step after he chose to walk behind them all. He shook his head and shoved his hands into the pockets of his pants, moving his gaze away. His mind shouldn't be wandering on useless things.
Nami stopped in her tracks once they reached the dock.
"We don't need something flashy, we have to sneak it out of here without anyone noticing."
"You mean we're gonna steal a ship?" Luffy furrowed his eyebrows.
"Yes?" the navigator frowned. "Wasn't that obvious already? How else are we gonna get a ship?"
"We can ask for one!" he beamed.
"So you think that just talking with someone would bring us a ship?"
The witch only sighed and shook her head at the other two's argument.
"Fine," Nami gave in after looking for too long at Luffy's puppy eyes. "But if it doesn't work, we do it my way."
"Deal."
Instantly, he walked away in search of a ship.
"So, what's the actual plan?" Zoro asked nonchalantly.
"You two look around and see how lax the security is around here. I'm gonna look for a ship and if we have enough luck, we will bribe Luffy into stealing one."
"I wish you luck," the swordsman smirked.
That's how they split up, Nami heading in a different direction while the witch walked straight up ahead with one hand still in her pocket. He approached her after a few long steps, merely looking at her from the corner of his eyes.
"If you keep walking around so stiff, people will guess we have something to hide."
"The only thing I have to hide is a pocket knife. On the other hand, you have three swords and no one looked at you suspiciously yet."
Finally, she said full phrases. However, there was no change in her expressionless face.
"What's up?" he fully turned his head towards her.
"Hm?"
Those beautiful eyes looked up at him curiously.
"Is someone suspicious?" he asked.
"No, just the air."
Once again, she turned her face away before he was able to read what she was hiding. It didn't seem like something big or dangerous, but she was definitely acting shady.
On top of it all, she wasn't exactly paying attention to her surroundings, since she didn't notice the two marines walking around the corner. Zoro wrapped an arm around her middle and placed a palm over her mouth, shoving the both of them between two buildings.
Her fingers grasped at his wrist and if she wouldn't have reminded herself to let go of the knife, she could've cut him.
"You could've just warned me," she whispered to him after she moved his hand away.
They both noticed their situation way too late. Her back was pressed against his chest and his arm was holding her securely next to him. His fingers burned her skin even through the large shirt she was wearing. The air got knocked out of her lungs and for a moment, she remembered the second reason for her unsteady feelings — him. The pirate hunter she didn't like thinking of because it was better that way.
When Zoro noticed the marines went away, he let go of her, even if too slowly. He let his suspicions get the best of him.
"What are you hiding?"
The witch — who just grabbed at his arm to move it away — was in that moment frozen on the spot.
"Nothing important."
From behind her, he couldn't see the way she frowned.
"You're like a walking ball of anxiety."
"I told you, it's just a shift in the air. Nothing important," she gritted her teeth, getting irritated.
Why was she distant? Did she think he wouldn't believe in her intuition? — that's what she'd probably call it.
She moved away after what felt like years, but her shoulders relaxed. It seemed like she figured out God-knows-what.
"I don't like the energy. It feels like I'm gonna die soon."
"Did you see a black cat?"
"No, I feel something crawling up my throat."
She resumed her walking and he kept up with her for the second time that day.
"Everything seems fine. I saw only those two marines and they were awfully relaxed," Zoro changed the topic.
"Then, just like Nami guessed, the security isn't exactly top class," the witch responded.
They walked around in silence, spotting Luffy on a ship with a goat figurehead. The swordsman could see the happiness bouncing around the straw hat who just called out at them.
"Guys! I found it!"
"Did you think for more than two seconds before choosing it?" the witch arched her eyebrow, amused.
"Actually, one glance was enough to know this was the perfect ship for us."
"Why am I not surprised you were right?" Nami sighed.
"He will sell it to us," Luffy pointed at a young man who walked behind him.
"Um, actually, this is not for sale," he tries to smile, rubbing at the back of his neck in embarrassment.
His golden-brown skin glistened in the early sun rays, which most probably meant he was working on something.
"And I'm not a salesman," he added. "But my friend owns this ship."
•┈┈┈•┈┈┈•┈┈┈
They found out his name was Usopp and the friend he was talking about was a girl who was celebrating her coming of age on that day. Kaya not only invited them to dinner, but insisted they could sleep over, considering they were “Usopp's friends”. The witch was still getting used to being called a friend or comrade, since she doesn't remember the last time that word was met with serious intentions.
The girl's mansion was… big. It was like a labyrinth and even if Zoro was bad at directions, she thought it started to rub off on her the moment she walked towards the dressing room after taking a bath. The lights weren't particularly bright and the sun was setting by that time. The curtains were tied together, leaving space for the warm golden lights to bathe the hallways.
Mystery clung to each artifact and painting. It was beautiful, yes, but there was a certain aura of that place that unsettled her.
Not to mention the staff — she never thought it would come a day when she'd say “these people are weird”. For the past two years she's been traveling alone around the Blue East and she met dozens of people, one more intriguing than the other. However, that butler was suspicious. She wanted to believe he was just a father figure for Kaya and he was protective of her, but she couldn't.
From the moment when she entered the dressing room — she's surprised she even found it —, she decided to answer some questions of her own.
She shuffled her tarot cards in her hands, meticulously arranging each card that fell, putting them in order. It was confusing her — it was the second time she does the same thing, with the same question in mind, and she received the same ambiguous answer. Why did the cards have to be particularly hard to guess on that day?
She ran her fingers through her hair and ruffled it, accidentally tugging harshly enough to make her frown deepen, but she held back a hiss. Maybe some pain would help her focus, instead of letting her mind waver. Luffy, who sat cross legged on the carpet, just like her, was analyzing her reactions because he had no clue what she was doing.
"What do you see?" he asked in a hushed voice.
"Why are you whispering?" Zoro asked.
The swordsman hasn't moved since he came into the dressing room and sat on a comfortable chair. He flexed his arms when he crossed them over his chest and threw one or two glances at the swords leaning against the armrest.
"I don't know," Luffy whispered again, snapping his head towards him.
She didn't pay attention to them at all. She had to admit that she felt better than an hour ago, before having the opportunity to take a bath, the reason why she was wearing a dressing gown only. It was so soft and the material felt perfect against her flushed skin, her collarbones exposed entirely.
She was completely unaware of the gaze locked on her. The woman had no clue a specific swordsman was thinking more than he usually does. There was an inner battle he couldn't fight by using his three swords style. He occupied himself by focusing on the material things; the carpet was soft.
Just as soft as her body when he glued her back to his chest to avoid those marines.
"What do you think?" Nami smiled proudly after she appeared from behind the room divider.
"You look like Nami," Luffy shrugged.
The witch chuckled at the response. She didn't smile once since she entered that mansion, but she couldn't help her reaction. Instead, she raised her head to the orange-haired woman whose shoulders fell at the answer she received.
After a few seconds of thinking, the witch decided to give her a real opinion:
"It compliments your body, but it isn't necessarily flattering — maybe you can find a few other options?"
Nami nodded, moving around to search for something else.
"I kind of feel bad for Kaya… she must feel lonely in such a big house," Luffy commented.
The witch decided to avoid the conversation, her eyes stuck once again on the few cards splayed over the carpet. She took in a deep breath and then sighed. It made sense, but it didn't feel like a complete answer. She decided to turn the rest of the deck upside down and take the card on the top.
"Dammit," she cussed out.
It confused her even more, so she just put the card back in the deck.
After a minute of spacing out, she managed to focus on the other three in the room.
"Rich people don't feel emotions the same way we do," Nami said flatly.
"She seems kind, though," the witch hesitated as the words left her lips.
"That's a big word," Nami probably rolled her eyes, considering her tone.
"Probably. She seems better than the butler, by the way."
"Have you guys seen him before?" Zoro asked, shifting in his seat.
Immediately, the witch moved her head towards him. He answered a question she didn't even ask and her fears felt validated for a brief second. So he also found that man suspicious.
"No, but I don't like him at all," the witch responded firmly.
"How come you can talk so easily about people you just met? No offense."
Nami was still looking around for a dress when she talked.
"It's not that I'm being judgmental — I can't assume what those people did or not. However, tell me, what about the staff makes you go 'oh, yes, they're good people'?"
"Good point," she pulled her lips together in a straight line. "They're weird."
The shuffling through clothes stopped, which meant Nami found something. Except, it wasn't for her, but for the swordsman who caught the caramel silky shirt that was thrown into his lap.
The witch let out another long exhale and closed her eyes. She hoped she could ground herself in a way or another, despite the unhelpful air surrounding the entire house. It was suffocating and it felt as if there was a heavy press on the crown of her chest, making it hard to breathe.
Seconds passed and the only thing she found in the depths of her thoughts was doubt and uncertainty. Nothing felt right, but she couldn't point out exactly what gave off that kind of aura. Slowing down her breathing didn't help either.
By the time she gave up and huffed, Nami and Luffy were out of the room. She saw the glimpse of a red silky dress pooling around someone's legs. Said person was Nami, surely.
A dress. Maybe it would be easier to hide a knife in her thigh holster.
"You're staring at these cards like you're gonna find out something, but I doubt you found anything," Zoro got her attention.
Once again, her fingers gripped at the strands of hair. Putting her confusion into words left a lump in her throat.
"I don't know what's going on and it's annoying. I don't have time for life lessons."
"Going on with what?"
"This entire mansion, maybe?" she looked at him.
His gaze made her skin tingle and she didn't know if she welcomed that foreign sensation or not. Everytime he talked, he managed to get her out of her thoughts, and she was both grateful and angry about it. For some reason, his stoic personality was safe in that maze.
"The butler is hiding something, that I know for sure," she whispered this time. "I never saw him, but something doesn't feel right at all. Protecting Kaya? It sounds like bullshit to me, Zoro."
She was stubborn about the opinion she has of that man and maybe it was wrong, but did she really care?
The swordsman didn't expect the sound of his name rolling off her tongue to stir something inside of him. It almost stung, her voice craving words in languages he's never spoken on his ribs. He paid attention, even if on a normal day he wouldn't listen to superstitions and the words of a probably insane witch.
Except it sounded like she was the most sane of them all.
"It probably won't make sense for you, but he's lying about something. He's not just a butler," she continued after glancing back at the cards. "He's fooling everyone and he's doing it well. This isn't what I'm actually concerned about — there's another lie I can't point out. The cards don't help. It feels like I'm being deceived, but for a good reason."
"By who?"
"I don't know. Or maybe I just want to avoid the answer."
She always hated her suspicious nature, the way her trust could be gained only by a few, and all of these people have been gone for years. She shouldn't be like that, it would be better if she'd have some faith in the people around her, if she'd allow herself to believe in them and their words. The ability to trust was a desire — something she wanted, but didn't have.
Zoro's body tensed and his frown deepened when he realized she was suspicious about one of them. At the same time, her attitude didn't match up because she seemed to despise her own suspicions.
Why was he so concerned about her? Yeah, right, he has no clue. Amazing. Perfect.
"I hate this," she muttered under her breath.
The witch put all of her cards in the deck and threw it on a chair after she stood up. Her eyes fell on the variety of clothes and she wondered what the fuck she was doing there in the first place.
Why was she there? She didn't promise to stay with Luffy. She had the opportunity to remain in Syrup Village for a while and then leave, just like every time. What was she doing in that mansion, looking at too many clothes hung in a huge room?
"Aren't you also gonna change?" she said without turning towards him.
"Do you even trust us?"
The question had the same effect as the tight embrace she was pulled into a few hours ago. Her breath hitched and she hesitated, fingers clutching at the material of her dressing gown.
The truth was other than what she thought of this entire time; yes. Yes, she did, and that was the most dangerous situation of them all.
"I wish I didn't," she whispered.
It was inexplicable, the faith she had in humanity after meeting Luffy. She would clutch at her heart and talk about how humans don't deserve her trust, she would talk for hours about how mischievous people are, that they adore taking advantage of others.
So it was normal to despise that feeling of longing, the desire to get attached to people, the need for a connection. It was normal to fear a bad ending and it was even worse that she thought such a thing couldn't happen anymore.
That was why the tarot cards confused her. They told a story different from the one her soul knew. What betrayal? What secret? Who was in pain they couldn't express? And why did she get the feeling that it wasn't exactly betrayal?
Her answer probably satisfied Zoro, since he got up from the chair and took a black suit he noticed minutes ago. He didn't say a word, but his shoulders were relaxed again.
•┈┈┈•┈┈┈•┈┈┈
The witch was the last one to arrive downstairs, in a room that seemed like a living. She found it uncomfortable to wear a dress in a house filled with strange people, since it held her speed back and it wouldn't be exactly easy to defend herself. She opted for a dress she could move in, only squeezing her waist and chest, fluttering around her knees. It was long enough to hide a knife in her thigh holster. Getting discovered wasn't on her to-do list, but she had to ensure her own safety.
While she changed, her mind wandered… would any of them help if something happened? Her guess was that yes, they'd jump into action.
Without noticing, after she walked down the stairs, she gravitated close to the swordsman. She was with her back at one of her comrades, never out in the open, sharp eyes scanning each corner of the room. The table in the middle was strong, she figured out after she tapped her nail over the surface. If there were guns involved, she could use it as a shield.
"You should try these!" Luffy spoke with his mouth full of cookies as he looked towards her and Zoro.
"I have everything I need right here," the green-haired man responded with a smirk.
There was a glass of cocktail in between his fingers and he took a long gulp, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down. Only now, the witch took her time to gaze at the expense of his shoulders, the suit fitting him perfectly. Considering how casual he dresses, it was surprising to see that kind of formal attire hugging his body so deliciously. The usual cockiness of his smirk was still present, just like the hand shoved into the pocket of his black suit pants.
Roronoa Zoro was more attractive than she liked to admit. His sharp jawline and the smallest bump at the base of his nose, the tall stature, those deep brown eyes sparkling in the light of a candelabra — damn, he looked like he'd been sculpted by the gods, despite the lack of belief he had in such almighty beings. The air was tight when she inhaled and she almost felt bad for ogling at him — almost, because the first time she met him, she was busy sweeping the floor with some Marines.
A feeling of control and steadiness oozed out of him, pulling her closer like a spell. For the briefest moment, her shoulders relaxed at the reminder that she's not alone there, that there are three other people she can put an ounce of trust in. That was the least she could do at that time.
With her arms crossed loosely over her stomach, the witch watched the interaction between Nami and a businessman — he looked and acted exactly like one, but lacked the mischief.
She missed the glance the swordsman threw at her, a look that lasted for too long to be friendly, but short enough to miss it. No, he thought to himself before taking another gulp of the liquor in his glass. He doesn't have time to indulge into such things.
The witch sighed at her own observations; she should unwind for a little while. She picked another glass of cocktail that was on the table and sipped, furrowing her eyebrows.
"It's sweet," she mumbled, surprised after licking her lips.
"Don't confuse sweetness for how strong it is," Zoro chuckled.
That simple sound made her heart skip a beat or two, bringing an uncomfortable sensation in the pitch of her stomach.
"Beginner's mistake, I suppose," she shrugged.
Too bad she wasn't exactly a beginner.
The talkative Usopp and Luffy stopped, which caught her attention; these two were the loudest people she's ever met in her entire life. Kaya was walking down the stairs, her slim arms curled around one of Klahadore's — the butler.
Only now, the witch took her time and looked at her. The pastel pink dress drained the life out of that girl, as if her pale skin didn't do that enough. Her cheeks were sunk and her smile seemed fragile like glass. She still remembers the cough that ripped through Kaya's lungs like an old knife.
Usopp looked at her as if he saw his dream before his eyes. He was love-struck.
The witch smiled at the realization. A puzzle so easy to solve.
The only thing Luffy loved as much as his dream and crewmates was food. Behind the door where the stairs ended, there was a big table filled with too many plates to count and a variety of dishes. His eyes sparkled as if there was gold.
A simple minded person, indeed, and maybe that was for the best.
She couldn't rest. She was on high alert, her heart beating faster each time her eyes glanced over at the butler. The fork in between her fingers stabbed the meat in her plate once in a while, but the knot in her stomach was difficult to undo. The only reason why she managed to remain steady was the swordsman who sat to her left and — by some powers bestowed by the gods — felt steady and safe. His presence pulled her back to reality, stealing her attention. The witch has never been more glad not to be alone.
"We wanted to talk with you about a ship," Luffy said with a big smile on his face.
"Right," Kaya smiled back, letting her fork down. "Usopp told me you are sailors."
"We aren't sailors, we are pirates."
Damn it, Luffy!
The witch gulped, squeezing her eyes shut at their captain's excitement. This was about to end very badly.
•┈┈┈•┈┈┈•┈┈┈
The dinner ended abruptly. Kaya had a coughing fit and she wasn't feeling well, meanwhile, the butler blamed it on Luffy, who got on the table and had an entire speech. They weren't welcome there anymore and were supposed to leave at the first hour in the morning.
The witch found each opportunity not to be alone, aware it wouldn't be in her advantage in case something happened. When she saw Nami head back to their guest room, the witch followed her. She needed to change out of that dress into something she could run and fight in, like her usual clothes.
After locking the door behind her, she looked at Nami who was already slipping her arms out of the sleeves of that beautiful red dress.
"I didn't get to tell you that you look stunning in that, by the way. Definitely the best choice," the witch mumbled as she averted her eyes to offer some privacy.
"Not really the moment to talk about dress up, is it?"
"I know, but some compliments wouldn't hurt anyone, right?"
Wrong, apparently, since Nami stilled in her tracks. The witch decided to sit in silence for a while, while she changed from the dress as well, pulling on a plain t-shirt and some comfortable jeans she tucked into her boots.
The woman was aware of Nami who was moving behind her, now holding a pillowcase in between her fingers. It was clear she tried to move fast and leave the room before she could be noticed.
"Wanna be petty towards that rude butler?"
"It's not like anyone would notice. She's filthy rich," Nami mumbled through gritted teeth, disappointed about being caught. "Do you have eyes at the back of your head, by any chance?"
"Nope," the witch accentuated the p sound. "Just associating the rustling with the source."
"Did you eat some kind of sensory devil fruit?"
"Got born with it," the woman joked lightly.
Only then, she turned towards Nami, who stood tall, head tilted towards her. The witch was convinced about the suspicion she had while doing that tarot reading, but this time there wasn't a turmoil in her chest. The thunderstorm stopped, despite the clouds still covering the sky of her mind.
"Be careful roaming around with a pillowcase in your hand. We'll get in trouble if anyone catches us, especially the staff. They're creepy as hell."
"The girl hissed at me," Nami scoffed.
"Gods," the witch placed her hand on her forehead and shook her head. "Do you have any guesses about where the others might be?"
"Zoro drank like two bottles of alcohol, so I'll suppose he's searching for more."
The witch smiled softly at the response, despite the fact that she missed the undertone of Nami's answer.
"Don't tell me you were curious about Luffy or, worse, Usopp."
"Hm?"
An intelligent retort. The witch gulped down and looked away, biting at the inside of her cheek.
"I mean, Luffy gets himself in trouble all the time, it's not hard to find him."
"Are you acting stupid with me?"
Nami was grinning like the devil itself. Dammit, did she really have to be so observant?
"I'm pretty aware I'm smart, actually, so I don't get where this comes from," the witch whispered.
There was a hue pink covering her cheeks and she was fidgeting with her fingers behind her back, doing all of these gestures unconsciously. She felt like an idiot at that moment, she had to admit.
Then, as if lightning struck her, she widened her eyes for a brief second. She didn't even know why she was there, in that mansion, surrounded by strangers she wanted to put her trust into.
"What are you thinking of?" Nami asked.
"None of us promised to become a crew," she shook her head. "It doesn't matter."
The navigator narrowed her eyes at the witch whose shoulders fell, the shyness she felt earlier deflating.
"It looks like it matters to you, though."
"That's exactly why I'm saying it," she smiled sourly. "Gotta make myself believe otherwise."
Silence stretched between the two of them. Two women who had stories and feelings to hide knew when to stop from asking questions, even if it would end up bloody later. It was clear both of them wanted to avoid sensitive subjects, even if the witch barely noticed when Nami started being the interrogator.
"Be careful, Nami," the witch smiled at her sincerely. "Usopp may be good at bluffing, but I'm better at playing the innocent. If you need someone to gaslight the shit out of the butler, just tell me."
I know what you do is wrong, but I believe you'll make a wise decision by the end of this all. I believe in your reasoning and I hope you can put your trust in me as well.
"Noted," and with that, the navigator left the room.
The witch almost got lost in that labyrinth again. She wanted to go to the kitchen, place where Luffy most probably was, but maybe she walked down a bit too many stairs and headed to the wrong side of the mansion.
She saw a tall figure in the dark basement where barrels full of wine were arranged with utmost care. She furrowed her eyebrows when she saw Klahadore standing in the way, making one step back. Face to face with him was Zoro, who was ready to draw his sword out of its scabbard, but he quickly got hit in the back of his head by someone.
The witch's eyes widened, but she received the same treatment by someone who managed to sneak behind her back.
•┈┈┈•┈┈┈•┈┈┈
Her head ached, sending daggers all the way to her forehead. The witch let out a guttural groan and her hand flew to her nape, caressing the sore spot.
When her eyes opened, she was greeted by the dead body of Merry, the business man she noticed at the dinner. She flinched, scrambling to her feet, which wasn't an intelligent idea. Her vision blurred black and she felt dizzy, suddenly unsteady. If not for Zoro's grip on her arms, she would've fallen ungraciously on her butt.
"What the heck?" she mumbled.
After a few seconds that felt a bit too long, she couldn't understand exactly why it was so cold in that place. Her chin tilted back so she could look up at the night sky.
They were at the bottom of a well.
"We have to get out," Zoro spoke in a gruff voice.
He sighed heavily and let go of the witch, while she looked at him with the face of are you fucking serious?
"How?" she spoke without thinking.
After a failed attempt to escape by using a long rope with a big hook attached to it, she tried using her short knives to stick the blades in between the rocks; it didn't work either.
There was only one option left and she was speechless.
Her heart sank when she watched Zoro grip at the rocks. He was strong, yes, definitely stronger than her on the physical side, but what if he couldn't climb up? What if he would fall?
Then I'd catch him. We either die here together or we get out together.
Her mind was set. She watched him carefully, gulping when she watched him struggle. His weight might do some damage if she dared to be reckless enough to catch him, but he was the only one who could climb those rocks. If she would've tried, she'd surely fall.
Just like she supposed, his fingers didn't grip well enough at one of the rocks and his feet slipped. He lost his equilibrium and wasn't fast enough to clutch onto another rock or stabilize his foot in time, and he fell back.
Maybe that witch was more reckless than anyone would've guessed. On top of it, she was selfless enough to believe that if he managed to get out and get help, it didn't matter what happened later, so she tried her best to mitigate the impact.
She was right — air got knocked out of her lungs when his body fell on top of hers and she groaned, but at least he didn't break some ribs. Her arms were wrapped around his waist and her fingers clutched at his shirt. Pain traveled through her body quickly and didn't disappear, but the adrenaline paid off.
"Are you alright?" she asked him in a hurry.
"You're insane," Zoro concluded, exasperated.
His back was glued to her chest and he tilted his head to the side to look at her. Maybe, for once, he was right about her.
"I'd rather break one of my ribs. You're the only one who can get us out," she argued with a frown between her eyebrows.
The witch looked away and blinked. She didn't want to focus on how hot the air felt, despite the bone chilling cold in that tight space. The butterflies in her stomach could be ignored if she gathered enough self control in time.
However, Zoro didn't move. He seemed troubled, completely out of it as he continued to look up at the night sky with a scowl on his face. His entire body was tense and he was deep down in his thoughts, especially since he didn't move a finger since he disagreed with her idea of "helping".
As if struck by lightning, he got back up, following the same steps from earlier.
"Be careful."
He stopped in his tracks right after his fingers gripped at some rocks.
"Move away if I fall again."
"I won't move and you won't fall."
It pushed him at the edge, mingling with the memories flowing through his mind about his long lost friend, about the girl whose strength he admired so greatly it made him move again. For a brief second, he thought of himself as a coward for overthinking the process. He either got out alive and managed to get her out as well, or they were both doomed — there was no in between.
Steadily, a tad bit slower than before, he climbed up the wall. His body ached at the effort when he was more than half way through and he would stop for a few seconds before making another move, clutching at another rock that would get him higher.
Despite being so low, several meters under the ground, her trust in him didn't waver. Her heart squeezed with worry, but she wanted to follow her instinct and how much she believed in him, even if it was unusual. Maybe it was because of his stubbornness, since if he was set on something, there was no way of stopping him.
He lost his equilibrium for a fraction of a second. Her breath hitched, eyes widening, his name stopping on the tip of her tongue.
His foot slipped and some dust fell to the bottom of the well, next to her. She breathed out in relief when he was quick enough to grip at another rock.
The witch didn't doubt him one bit when he finally got out of the well. He kept the rope he found in the well at his waist while he climbed up, so he could help her get out too.
From up there, Zoro held tightly onto the rope, just as tightly as she did, even if her fingers hurt and she didn't exactly trust her body to be strong enough. She gripped at the cord and climbed the stone wall, gritting her teeth whenever it seemed like she might fall.
Breathe in, breathe out. Breathe in, breathe out. Repeat.
It was a slow process, which was worrisome from her perspective. She advanced, but the longer she struggled, it felt endless.
For the record, she believed in Zoro more than she believed in herself — she didn't have low self-esteem either.
"Look up," he reminded her firmly.
He prompted his feet into the ground and held tightly, waiting for her.
"Trying," she mumbled to herself.
Slowly, she got closer and closer to the exit. Zoro bent his torso and curled his fingers around her forearm, managing to help her out.
"Fuck," she cursed.
Her breath was labored and she was sweating heavily, a droplet falling from her temple to her jaw and down her neck. She let herself on the grass, her arm still in his hand.
"I owe you my life," she breathlessly mumbled.
Unconsciously, her fingers were clutching onto his arm for support, even if her knees trembled from the tumult she went through.
"We have time for that later," he brushed it off. "We have to find the others."
"That butler isn't new to killing people who stand in his way. We better hurry before he chops us off."
"His name is Kuro. He was the captain of the Black Cat Pirates and supposedly died three years ago, when Axe-Hand Morgan killed him — the Marine Captain we encountered back in Shell Town."
The swordsman kept his grip firm on her, carefully bringing her back to her feet while he talked.
"I saw his face on a wanted poster some time ago, but since he was presumed dead, no one cared anymore."
"He looked very much alive to me," the witch retorted.
"I was with Usopp when I went to get wine and he managed to escape from the butler. Maybe he went to search for help, even if I doubt any untrained person could harm these pirates. Luffy was in the kitchen, eating some weird blue food."
Zoro let go of her and walked in the opposite direction of the mansion and she looked at him confused.
"Oi, Zoro, the house is the other way—"
Then, when she looked at the path that went through the forest surrounding the mansion, she felt a pull towards it. She furrowed her eyebrows and continued staring.
"You go that way. Nami is surely still inside."
"You just said I went in the opposite direction, though?" Zoro arched his eyebrow at her.
"Usopp searched for help, but if we think about it, Kaya said he has a lot of stories to tell. He's bluffing a lot, even if with no bad intentions. Maybe he found someone — if there's no sign of life on the path, come back."
"And you?"
"I'll find Nami and Kaya somehow."
Zoro didn't believe in superstitions and higher beings, but he trusted her instinct, so he headed the other way. The witch opened the door slowly, making no sounds. She slipped inside and looked around for an insane pirate who hisses — these two were creepy.
The young woman flinched when all the light suddenly disappeared and behind her, a heavy metal wall met the floor, stopping everyone from moving in or out of there. Fuck.
She gripped with both of her hands at the daggers she held at her hip, holding them securely. With slow steps, the witch made her way through the house. The big candelabrum hanging from the ceiling marked the way to enter and leave the house. To the left was the kitchen and to her right was the living room. The guest rooms and dormitories were upstairs. She still remembers which one was her room for the might and the bathroom.
If she didn't want to die there, she had to quickly figure that place out.
She heard one single step from the stairs and her attention shot up. Sham looked at her perplexed, but grinned widely.
"You were supposed to be dead, little mouse."
"Don't confound me with your food," the witch held the knives tighter.
Instantly, the woman jumped at her with a mop in her hands. The witch dodged the attack with a knife and the one that followed, bending her knees to avoid getting hit again. She tried to cut Sham's leg with her knife, but the maid was fast, jumping back in time.
Zoro, if you get lost on the way back, I'll wake up from the dead and kill you, she thought to herself.
"Captain Kuro will kill Kaya tonight and there's nothing you can do to stop him."
Sham's wooden mop clashed against the witch's dagger and avoided the knife which almost sunk into her shoulder. Sham attempted to make her fall by kicking her legs, but the witch made a light jump before she could fall.
It would draw attention to her and the cook might appear out of nowhere, but the witch sheathed one of the knives and pulled a pistol, aiming at the hissing woman.
"I'm too fast for your shitty guns, girl."
Yeah, sure. It was her time to grin at Sham.
Her eyes followed each of the maid's movements, moving her arm just in time to shoot her side. Sham was lucky enough to move out of the way, but the next bullet scarred her upper arm, another hiss leaving her lips.
"Fuck."
Aw, the kitty was angry.
The witch widened her eyes when she saw Sham pull a sword that seemed more suited for decor. She had to dodge the next attack, the blade almost touching her neck when she stopped it with her knife.
"Hey, Sham, do you need some help?"
The witch gulped at the new voice. It was the cook.
"I don't really think so."
The witch jumped back before her neck got cut, breathing heavily. She had to block other attacks while she attempted to find a weak spot, an opening to shoot and do it well.
The witch groaned when the blade left a deep and clean slice on her left upper arm. It stretched horizontally on the side. The shock almost paralyzed her and blood was quick to flow down her arm.
She tossed a knife through the air, the tip sinking straight into Sham's right arm.
A weight sound caught her attention and she turned her head towards the metal wall behind her that was slowly being lifted up by strong arms. Who the fuck could—
Oh, right. They had a bulky swordsman as part of the crew.
"Took you long enough," the witch muttered through gritted teeth.
Luffy bent down and smiled at her widely.
"Sorry for that."
"Keep apologies for later. Go after Kuro — he wants to kill Kaya."
Zoro followed the straw hat, straightening his back when he got inside. His eyes narrowed when he saw the crimson liquid covering the witch's arm, drawing his swords out. He could use the adrenaline pumping through his veins against the man who launched an attack at him.
"Go, Luffy. We'll keep these two occupied," he instructed.
The scent of blood filled the witch's nostrils. She aimed the gun at Butchy and the bullet flew right next to his ear, stopping him from hitting the swordsman. Sham was bold for taking the knife out of her arm and running towards the witch with the weapon in her hold. The witch stumbled and her back glued the floor, both her hands gripping harshly at Sham's arm, stopping the tip of the knife a few centimeters above her eyes.
"You little bitch," the pirate hissed at her.
The witch kicked the maid into the stomach with her knee, pushing her off of her. Luffy disappeared and the sound of blades clashing against each other filled the room.
Zoro used raw strength whenever he attacked Butchy, his swords almost cutting through the man with swift gestures of the wrist, elbows angled perfectly. He had more fighting experience than her and it showed, so she was more than just happy not to get sliced in half by the other two.
She cussed when she remembered she had only one revolver, the other one left in the room. She had three bullets left.
Her head got cloudy when she quickly got back to her feet, her breathing labored. She was tired and the only reason why she ignored her bleeding wound was the adrenaline.
This time, when Sham attacked with the mop, the witch only moved to the side and took advantage of the opportunity to cut with the knife through the flesh, the tip sinking deeper and deeper into the maid's stomach, until her body went limp.
The witch let Sham fall to the floor and stepped back. She felt her pulse pump through her head, slowing her down. She tried to focus on breathing evenly and eventually not passing out.
She heard a loud thump — the cook was down and Zoro sheathed his swords. He didn't break a sweat, or so it looked from her blurry perspective.
A sound rang through the air sharper than her daggers and it lit her on fire. The sound of her name being spoken with worry latched onto Zoro's voice.
He walked down two or three stairs at once, undoing the bandana from his head and wrapping it around her wound. She hissed when he knotted the material tightly in order to stop the bleeding.
"Thanks," she whispered, her body still tense.
•┈┈┈•┈┈┈•┈┈┈
"Don't mention it," Luffy smiled widely at Kaya. "We couldn't have let him hurt you or deceive people anymore."
If it wasn't for his rubber body, maybe they wouldn't have gotten out alive, but luck sided with them again.
"I could never thank you enough, but this is all I can do for you now."
The witch stared at the goat figurehead of the ship Luffy was enamored with. Kaya talked, but the words weren't registering in the woman's ears since a small little creature curled around one of her legs. The black cat mewled sweetly and begged for attention, a luxury it received quickly. The witch crouched down and petted the animal with a smile on her lips, brushing her fingers over the soft fur. The cat purred loudly, rolling on its back and pawing at the woman, greedy for affection.
"How's your wound?"
When she lifted her head, her eyes met Zoro's. One of his hands rested on the hilt of his Wado Ichimoji and the other was stuffed into the pocket of his jeans — she learned that was one of his most relaxed stances.
His bandana was still wrapped around her upper arm and the bleeding stopped long ago. She didn't get the chance to properly clean her arm or tend to the cut, but she felt content.
"I'll care for it on the ship after we set sail," she said in a soft voice.
Yes, that was the voice that made his heart hammer in his chest, he remembered. Finally, after a day filled with anxiety and panic, he could watch her shoulders relax, even if he wasn't exactly pleased with her lack of attention.
"Let's go!" Luffy shouted at them.
The witch stood up, wincing at the smallest movement of her arm, and that didn't go unnoticed by the swordsman.
She still avoided his question, he concluded. She said she'll care for the wound, not how it felt.
He tapped the hilt of his sword repeatedly and took a decision he didn't know if he'll regret later, following close behind her.

Hii!! First of all, how are you? And how do you feel? I first wanted to thank you for doing such a beautiful blog. You truly have a talent to write and you write so well. I am always looking forward for any new posts of yours, i just love your blog so so much!!!!<333 I’m sorry i am so obsessed with your blog and how you write the Uchiha man so fine ans well. Can you maybe write about how Madara gets into an argument with his wife and it comes to the point where he hits her, (slapping or punching her because of his anger) he hits her so hard it causes a bruise on her skin. And how he will try to make it up for her and how he will react to it? Love you and your blog! 🩷
Helloooooo!! I just bought my first iPad ever, so I'm really happy about it!!! In my country, it is very difficult to get cases and accessories, so currently fighting for them🤣🙌🏻. I really appreciate your words and your presence, it genuinely makes me very happy to know people enjoy what I do and like my content.
Nothing to apologize for, I love that you obsess, and having someone to share my own Uchiha fixation with!!
With this request, I am revealing one of my biggest HCS about the Uchiha brothers: a violent authority figure, and all the traumas that come with it.
He is not proud, not at all. When his hand connects with her face it feels exactly like the first time his mother hit him.
(Y/N) falls to the ground from the force of the impact, and looks at him in disbelief. Her eyes are so wide they seem about to explode, and she holds the area where Madara struck her as a silent tear slides over her fingers. The woman seems unable to move, paralyzed, and the Uchiha feels life stop for a second.
Never in his life did he think of becoming what he hated so much, of adopting the same actions from the figure who took it upon herself to make his life a living hell as a child. Madara grew up traumatized by his mother's hands, the violence she imparted both verbally and physically, and tried to channel it all on him to protect his siblings.
When she finally passed away, he was left with lifelong scars, both bodily and psychologically, which he decided would help him to never become the horrible human being she was. For many years, he conducted his anger through war, the battlefield, and the death he carried on his hands every day.
With the new stage of peace, that ordeal was over, and so was his source of personal liberation. Sure, training with the Senju or his brother always brought significant physical relaxation, but no longer being able to attack with the intent to kill made the practice sessions seem like a joke.
Frustrated by his inability to release without killing, Madara lost that one important outlet for his anger, for venting his rage, and began to progressively accumulate it. Between dealing with a new village, his younger brother and the entire clan still reluctant to accept peace with the enemy, and leading an entire family, it didn't take long for him to explode in the worst possible way, and evoke all his childhood memories at once.
His body moved on its own, without him even analyzing what he was about to do, and (Y/N) had no time to react.
They were arguing over genuine stupidity, the Uchiha not having washed the dishes he used for breakfast that morning because he had to rush off to a meeting, and his wife having to take care of it for him. (Y/N) had made it clear from the beginning of their relationship that she would not submit to being a housewife, to living for and by her husband, and that she would maintain her independence despite having Madara by her side.
How little tolerance she had for the one time he left something behind, only because he was in a hurry, got on his nerves, and he exploded thanks to all the accumulated problems he was carrying on his back. His open hand connected with (Y/N)'s cheek before he could figure out exactly what he was doing, and sent her straight to the ground with the force of the collision.
As he stared at his wife on the floor, he could only see himself as a child, tiny in the face of his batterer, small with no options and no way out. Circumstances managed to bring out the worst in him, what he thought he had overcome, and he had no tools to face such a scenario. He never believed he had any aspect of his mother in him, he promised himself never to be like her, and he had failed.
He felt dirty.
The Uchiha is speechless when seeing how his wife gets up and runs away, terrified by the cruel action of her man, and takes refuge in her brother-in-law's house. Madara can only listen, from the same place where he stood frozen after hitting her, as (Y/N) lunges against Izuna's front door, demanding between screams and tears to let her in.
Seconds later, and with a sepulchral silence in the air, the Uchiha senses how his younger brother walks into his home, a small and incredulous voice asking "What the fuck did you do, Madara?"
It has been years since he last cried, back when he thought he was about to lose the only immediate family he had left, that time when he held his Otouto close in his arms and prayed to the heavens and all their gods to let him live on.
Today, Madara surrenders to the ground again, falling to his knees and indulging in his anguish, reliving traumatic events in his mind like a movie he cannot pause. He has no words to explain, nor does he know what to say, and all he can do is allow the uncontrollable flow of his tears.
Izuna, perplexed, falls to the ground beside him, hugging him and knowing no questions need to be asked.
He himself was a victim of his mother, and his older brother protected him at every turn, taking all the beatings and holding back tears to look brave in front of his siblings. The younger Uchiha knows what this is all about, and he knows better than to say anything.
Engrossed in his journey into the past, he knows there is no way to help him at this point, and Izuna retreats without further ado.
Madara, on the other hand, lasts in the same position all night, completely blocked by his emotions and unable to regain control over his body. He has been subjected to all kinds of tortures, faced the greatest warriors, and dealt with unimaginable powers on the battlefield, but nothing compares to this.
The next day, he can do nothing but disappear from the face of the earth, isolate himself in the old Uchiha compound, lose track of time in his family's abandoned territory, and continue to punish himself for what he did. He returns home, to the house where he grew up amidst punishment and abuse, and walks through each room, mentally seeing the image of his mother above him, harshly beating him.
He will stay there as long as he thinks necessary, without eating, without drinking water, tormenting himself until he thinks he has purged all his ills.

Tássa 'Rook' Thorne

(Forgive the low quality of my writing... I don't know why I can't get the words out correctly tonight....)
"I told Solas that I didn't care what people would call me when everything was said and done. To let them call me whatever they wanted, and to judge me by my actions. You have no idea how much that hurt to say. It's not that I didn't mean it. I was committed to finishing what I had started, and was not doing it to have my praises sung in bard’s tales. But I had spent most of my life running, and living on borrowed names. And who are you if you don't have a name? If you don’t own your name?" Tássa was born to a Dalish clan that resided outside Kirkwall. When she was fourteen, a large slaver ring invaded her clan destroyed everything. They enslaved everyone and brought them to Minrathous. Tas lived in servitude for about twelve years before she decided to make an escape attempt. She rallied a few of her fellow slaves and made a break for the Anderfels. But along the way, at an Inn in Dock Town, she realized that she was being pursued by slave catchers. They caught up to her and attempted to reclaim her. She knew how to fight, and killed them in self defense. The guard was called, and she was about to be arrested, when a Grey Warden, Daniel Thorne, stepped in, and offered to conscript her in order to save her from being executed for her crimes. Tássa took her vows one month later, and served as a Grey Warden for six years. Word came that a darkspawn incursion was about to flood the Deep Roads near a defenseless village, and the residents were in danger. Tas, in an act of selflessness, volunteered to descend, leading a small contingency, into the thaig and attempt to stem the tide of darkspawn and prevent them from reaching the surface. She fought with the First Warden, who didn't want her to play the hero, but eventually convinced him that her plan was the only way to rescue those in danger.
~~~
A few days later, she was sealed in the thaig with six other Wardens. She expected to die. As the Darkspawn began to attack, she realized that there weren't nearly as many as were rumored, meaning that they were trapped and essentially left to die. Tássa led the team to scratch their way back to the surface, pushing past boulder after boulder until they could see sunshine once more. She saved those Warden's lives.
Tássa was prepared to leave the Wardens, frustrated by her company's lack of leadership. While many hailed her as a hero, others criticized her independent streak. Not enough defended her actions, and she became disenchanted with her duties.
She hung up her sword and shield, shed her armor, and began to head back toward in the direction Kirkwall. She got as far as Minrathous before she learned that the slaver ring that kidnapped her clan had finally been broken up by the Shadow Dragons. She celebrated in the Cobbled Swan, realizing that she was truly free.
A group of rowdy sailors entered the tavern, extremely inebriated. They immediately began hitting on the waitress who was serving them. Tássa would not stand for this and so stood up for her, and fought the sailors to teach them a lesson, even though she was half their size.
Varric was in the corner, observing her selflessness. When she finished putting the seamen in their place, he called her over. After speaking, Varric explained to Tas his quest to find Solas.
The rest, as they say... is history...
34, 38 & 40 for your wardens!
tw for passing mentions of suicidality
Questions from this ask game!
34: How does the Warden feel about becoming the Hero of Ferelden?
aneth: couldn't care less. she barely recognizes "ferelden" as a country. ohhh yeah the border with orlais is TOTALLY real and not an imaginary line someone drew on a piece of paper somewhere. it's very important and aneth cares a lot about it. "ferelden." so true. "hero of ferelden" is just some words somebody said sometime and then they told her to go manage a castle so honestly it seems kind of like a scam.
lirel: weird! angry! it's easier to be angry than to grieve, and lirel's been using that trick for a long time. now that she almost died for them she's a hero? now the nobility want to clap and throw her a party like she's never heard the things they said, like she doesn't notice the way they look at her? like they think people like her deserve freedoms? yeah, she's not feeling it. she didn't do it for them. she doesn't even know why she did it. it's just something that happened. kill an archdemon. get thrown off a tower. keep living. fuck you, she's gonna keep living.
mercy: well.... she dies. she would feel very conflicted about it if she lived to see it but the thing that makes her a hero is that she martyrs herself and secretly is relieved to do it. so.
38: Is there any decision that the Warden regrets? If so, which is it and why? How would they change it?
(cut added for length)
aneth: following tamlen. aneth and tamlen were not friends, they were supposed to be each other's teachers. marethari wanted tamlen to learn restraint and aneth to learn social skills, so she paired them up for hunting and other tasks. aneth isn't huge on regret: the things that happened happened and mulling over them won't make them different, but if she could go back and change something, she would have turned her back on tamlen and gone straight to marethari, and tamlen could have brought whatever consequences he wanted on his own head and not on hers.
lirel: this is a hard question because lirel is an extremely decisive person. once she commits to a path, she's on it. she's always trying to maximize her own agency and autonomy, and any things that she "regrets" are mostly petty concerns and stuff that wouldn't even be worth changing. i can't think of a single major choice that lirel regrets, in part because they were all HER choices. she got to make CHOICES, to change things, to be in control for once. regret? before duncan conscripted her, she fully expected to be dead inside of a year. she was ready for it. and then she's alive and she's free and she's stronger and faster and worse than anyone can imagine, and it's a beautiful amazing incredible thing. being a warden sucks shit and eventually being tainted also sucks shit! but without becoming a warden she'd be dead and instead she has a hot wife and a cool kid so she's basically winning all the time.
mercy: not so much a decision, because she didn't choose it, but she ends up having to kill amalia and it absolutely haunts her. it costs all of Redcliffe village for her to save connor, but SHE doesn't kill those people - she cries for them and it adds to the weight on her soul, but since even the nearest templar agreed that killing a child was wrong, it sort of had to happen - but she cuts amalia down herself. she has to go back to a father and tell him that she failed. that his daughter was with a demon and the demon won. that she was insufficient and she killed his child with her hands (and alistair's and leliana's etc). she stays up night after night after night thinking about all the way's she's failed, the things she's done wrong, the violence she's done. she's in a bad way by the time she dies - her psyche was built around the idea that she was a Good Mage and she KNOWS in her soul that the things she's done are not good. that the ends don't justify the means and that she doesn't know what the ends are supposed to be. she's desperate for an authority figure to tell her what to do, to absolve her of having to choose at all. she regrets all of her decisions, she regrets everything, she doesn't know what else to do.
40: How does the Warden feel about the Calliing?
aneth: it doesn't super matter to aneth because she basically disappears into the deep roads ANYWAY after awakening. velanna wanted to find seranni and it wasn't like aneth had anything better to do. she is not cut out for either administration or leadership, but she does do very well spending a lot of time with the legion of the dead. so "dying in the deep roads" is 1) not that different from how aneth spends her time anyway and 2) the final destination for her entire social circle. yeah, aneth's gonna go on her calling sometime. unless the everyday darkspawn get her first lmao!
lirel: the calling is one of those things she successfully avoids thinking about until she doesn't. the thing about lirel is that she's extremely young: everything has to be filtered through the fact that she is a seventeen year old experiencing the world outside a mage tower for the first time since she was three. she doesn't fully believe she can die because she's a teenager! so it's not real and it's not real and it's not real and then it's REAL. the taint hits her hard, changes the way she looks, the way she experiences the world. her son is getting older, but he's not an adult yet, her partner... would go on just fine without her, but she's not ready to let go. around the time of inquisition, she starts to feel desperate and trapped in a fox-chewing-its-leg-off way by the inevitability of the calling. lirel is one of my wardens for whom it absolutely makes sense to go off on some dumb quest to try and defy fate, because she has the audacity to believe that de-wardening herself is completely attainable and the motivation to make it happen. also kieran is old enough that he can get by without two full time parents so it's a good time for it.
mercy: died! it's a non-issue :)
More resident evil 8 Au things!
I 10000% agree with you that out of the entire family besides Mirabel her parents are the ones that hate/dislike Miranda the most for obvious reasons. I would say the list of people who hate Miranda goes like this
Mirabel
Julieta and Augustine
Isabel and Luisa
Alma
Pepa and Felix
Camilo and Dolores
Bruno
Antonio
And I thought I might as well flesh out some of the time line so Miranda kidnapped Mirabel at age 8 and experimented on her immediately when they got back to the village it took a week after the experiment for Mirabel to wake up and when she did she stayed with Miranda for two weeks in her house being called Eva the entire time. After that two weeks Miranda sent her to live with Alcina and her Daughters and she lived there with them while her house was being built for about four years. Alcina and the girls were so happy/excited to have her there, Alcina and the girls decorated a room for her and they cleaned up the old playroom and the room that Alcina used to homeschool the girls and had set up a schooling schedule for her (the girls wanted to help Alcina) all before she was even sent to live with them of course Miranda also had a time slot for her schooling it basically went Alcina-Math, art, music and basic social studies Miranda-science(all categories)Daniela- english, Romanian and European history Cassandra- Spanish, German and African history Bela- Greek, Latin and North/South American history. While Mirabel was living there she was absolutely spoiled and doted on as the baby of the family but when she was 12 Miranda made her move into the house that was built for her and made her start doing more Lord tasks (experimenting, going to the church etc.) and she saw less of Alcina and the girls. She completely transforms her section of the village in about 2 years of taking control of it so at 14, she worked long and hard with the villagers in her area going house to house figuring out all the needs of that house and using the money she has access to from Miranda to get them things and because she started putting the money back into the community helping them they in turn were able to have better crop and meat out put which increased the areas income as well after seeing how well her area was and how terrible the other Lords areas were Mirabel talked to Miranda about making the other Lords do the same but Miranda told her outright no stating that way the other Lords do with their free time is none of her business and that as long as they continue to do the experiments like she asks she won't bother them with the care of the villagers so long as they weren't killing too many. So Mirabel, wanting to help the villagers in the other areas, created the orphanage but it's not just an orphanage it's also a school that way the villagers have access to education freely and can try and do better that way. Mirabel gets her family back at 16 and they live with her two months into them living with her the interrupted dinner with Miranda happens and two months after that the family is experimented on three months after the experiments they meet the Dimitrescu family for dinner a month after that they meet Karl when he burst into the house anger at Mirabel because a 16 year old boy he was hoping to have work in his factory was going to her school instead, they meet Monroe two months after Karl when Miranda brought him over to discuss some experiment over with him and Mirabel, they meet Donna and Angie last four months after that Donna had decided to go over to Mirabel's to go over their doll/clothes ideas, they usually do it over at her house because she doesn't like to leave the house very often.
As always any and all artwork is appreciated and loved!
SORRY THIS TOOK ME SO LONG TO ANSWER RAHHHH 🌚🌚🌚
Willing to bet that if they were to rank her on a tier list, Miranda would be in F tier 🧌
But like. Can Mirabel catch a break. She was snatched away from her family and didn't see them for what, 9 years??? I mean jeez, let her BREATH. And sure, she had a substitute family, but let's be real, they aren't exactly the best when it comes to raising or caring for an emotionally and mentally vulnerable child. And then Mother Miranda, with her jealousy and wanting Miranda to be Eva like??? What is WRONG with her 😭😭 in what world is that ok??
And then at 12, literally a child, not even a teenager, she was dropped into a pseudo-Casita that, from what I'm assuming, wasn't alive yet. And even if it was. That doesn't change the fact that she was a child left to run a village and be made to do all these terrible things. And then attend meetings and services along side it 🌚 and being Miranda's favorite didn't change a DAMN thing, she's still treated pretty badly, like face the facts
AND?? WHEN SHE GOT HER FAMILY BACK?? 4 months later she was forced to experiment on them, against her and their will. And Lord knows that if she refused, Miranda would've done something even worse than death 🤠 AND YOU KNOW?? She still manages to be a better leader among the other 4.
Someone get these guys outta here, including Ethan and Rose 😭😭
Unfortunately I was only able to do these two <33 honestly this just helps me visualize them better, but. If you feel like they should look different, lemme know 🤭🤭 or if you have any ideas for what the family to look like. Because I still haven't based them all on bugs yet 🤓☝
Also??? I think as Antonio got older, the mold in his eye spread. Not to his other eye, just a little on the right side of his face and some of his neck. He can still see out if one eye, so at least he's good there <\\33
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
a world where only eugene, rapunzel and her parents know about her powers and everyone else thinks her hair just turned brown as she aged and there was nothing special about her rapidly growing blonde hair as a baby. cassandra never takes her to the rocks and her hair never grows back and she lives her life normally, apart from having to adapt to a new world and dealing with trauma from being in the tower
moon is eugene's lost sister and her mom died birthing her. she absorved all of the moonstone's powers because her mom was around it so much and now the moonstone is almost harmless because moon carries almost all the power, that's why she has the ability to recite the spell
king edmund sent everyone away and stayed in the kingdom taking care of moon after finding out about her powers, scared that she would harm someone, but as she grew up, she questioned why she was stuck in an empty castle with her dad, why she couldn't explore the world, but the king only told her it was too dangerous (the only thing he didnt tell her was that it wasnt the world that was dangerous for her, it was the opposite) so one day when she was 15 she found a scroll in her father's bedroom and she saw that there was a drawing of the moonstone- the same stone that is in the center room of the castle that her father doesn't let her enter- and a lot of symbols that she couldn't decipher so she found a way to run out of the castle at night and find out the truth about that stone and why her father kept her there. after walking for days she finally found a village with people so she went up to the first person she saw for answers, and she showed a nice old woman the scroll and asked if she knew what it meant and she smiled and took her into her home. she figured what it said very quickly and asked moon to read the decay incantation, to which she only smiled as the little girl was possessed by moon magic, unable to stop reciting the spell. "you own the moonstone, don't you?" the old woman asked her, to which she responded explaining where she came from and that the moonstone is locked up, so she took the woman back to the kingdom after she manipulated moon into thinking she needed the moonstone, only to try to steal it at the last second. fortunately, king edmund saw the old woman (an old spirit and follower of zhan tiri) and stopped her forever. he then decided that moon wasn't even safe stuck in the dark kingdom and did a spell to wipe all of her memories and made the crows take her somewhere she could live a new and anonymous life, hopefully being saved by a kind family. the only thing he didn't know was that she sent the girl still with the demanitus scroll in her pocket to varian's house in old corona
varian also has some moonstone power but not enough to kill people like moon, in his maximum capacity he would only be able to put someone in a coma, but that would take a lot of his energy. his mom is a descendent of demanitus and she met quirin through studying the magic of the sundrop and moonstone, and they were around the moonstone a lot, but not as much as the queen, so that's why varian has magic but a lot less than moon
varian never believed that rapunzel was magically brought back with different hair and the person who kidnapped him just died. he knew that woman must've had a reason to kidnap the princess and keep her hidden for 18 years, why doesn't the rest of the kingdom know the reason? the queen drank tea from a magic healing flower that cured her deathly disease and rapunzel was born with long hair the same color as the flower, then she was kidnapped and came back with the opposite- short brown hair- and those facts have nothing to do with each other? so when that mysterious girl showed up at his doorstep with a scroll about that same flower, he knew it was a sign for him to investigate
a headcaon post for the most minor of all characters, violet's friend ben, who i'm giving the surname of gaiters:
out of all of the baudelaires friends, ben would have contacted them directly after the baudelaire fire, had the gaiters family not been on vacation. ben as such got a shock when he went to visit the baudelaire mansion like any other day, only to see the remains.
when learning they were in the city in the care of count olaf, ben tried contacting them. but letters sent were return, calls went unanswered, and visits were stop by the acting troupe. by the time the baudelaires were sent to live with dr. montgomery montgomery, ben assumed they didn't want anything to do with their old lives anymore.
ben tried contacting the baudelaires once more when he learn they were going to prufrock prep. knowing his first cousin carmelita spats attended there, ben knew the baudelaires need help trying to survive the cruel girl's antics. the letters were once again, returned. but ben suspected sunny at least seen his letters, for they were 'damaged' via four small holes.
his attempts to contact them again when he learned they were back in the city, living with the squalors, also failed. this time he made phone calls, and they always went unanswered. the one time he got through, the woman esme, told them that they were out; ben thought they were 'out' as in the fad, and stopped all together.
when ben read the news that the baudelaires killed count olaf at the village of fowl devotee, he decided to go find them. ben didn't believe the newspaper, not at all. but everything about the baudelaires' lives since the fire has been a mystery. and it's one he needs to solve. and so ben ran away to began his search.
ben found the ashes of dr. montgomery montgomery's home. he saw the cliff that once had josephine anwhistle's home and her shredded life jacket. ben talked to charles on a payphone about the baudelaire's time at the lumber mill. ben personally talked to jerome squalor at 667 dark avenue, with jerome allowing the boy to stay a few day to rest before going on his way again.
not long after this, ben's parents found him. to make sure he doesn't run away again, ben parent's force him to join the snow scouts. ben used as a way to get information from carmelita about the baudelaires time at prufrock prep. and carmelita talked nonstop about the 'cakesniffers' and their friendship with duncan and isadora quagmire (carmelita was furious with violet and her 'crush' on duncan).
ben felt stupid when he got trap in the net, seeing that violet and klaus and the not dead quagmire quigley, were there with the snow scouts. ben felt stupid for not recognizing violet. he wanted to call out to violet, but he was scare of the possibility she didn't recognized him. that same fear was in ben when he and others rowed the carmelita, for he saw the baudelaires and the girl with triangle glasses, and the hook-handed man trying to get back to the other submarine.
when free, having heard about the hotel denouement, ben went directly there. he saw the city firefighter's surrounding the now gone hotel. he saw the ambulances tending to the injured, one being jerome squalor. ben talked to mr. squalor again, learning about the rigged trial, and how the baudelaires and count olaf set the hotel on fire.
ben accompanied jerome to the hospital, as well as visit him every day until the man's release. two parted ways again when jerome brought ben back to his parents, who weren't at home at the time of the fire that destroyed the gaiter's home, having been at the police asking them to find their son (again).
ben after this stopped his search for the baudelaires, living life as he did before. but he didn't throw away his research. and every day, he visits briny beach, hoping to see them there. and one day, a little after the date of the hotel denouement fire, saw them on briny beach, looking worst for wear with a little baby.
ben ran towards them. ben's first instinct was to give violet a hug. but he stopped himself in time, staring at them. ben opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. he wasn't sure if they recognized him. he wasn't sure if things were going to fine. ben fears that they think he had abandoned them, and he couldn't blame them for it.
it's only went violet ran up to him, and gave him a hug as if to make up for all the lost time, did ben felt things will at least, work out.
