Oh no! I'm so sorry! I wish I'd seen this sooner so my distractions could have been more helpful. Sending love and good vibes to all of you, it's so scary when our pet friends don't feel good. I always have ghoul thoughts, here's a random assortment of Aeon ones for you ♥. - Always hungry. Huge sweet tooth.

-Loves campy horror movies. Especially ones from the 90s. Urban Legend? Jeepers Creepers? He is all in.

-Sucker for physical contact. Not the most talkative ghoul--prefers to say what he wants to with action. The action usually invovles touch.

-Struggles with insomnia sometimes. Spends the nights he can't sleep well on the couch in the common room watching TV. Is partial to documentaries--specifically history and nature. He started watching them because Swiss told him they'd put him right to sleep. But instead he finds himself very interested. Doesn't help his insomnia, but he's learned a lot.

-Is an intern in the medical wing with Aether. Mostly sits behind the nurses station and gossips with the siblings on duty instead of doing actual work--but is very good in a pinch.

-Is the best at making snack food. Killer nachos. Insane popcorn. Unreal loaded french fries.

-Takes his place in the band, on earth, all of it, very seriously. Likes to have fun--is goofy and carefree of course. But also practices guitar a lot. Asks Dew for a lot of pointers. Studies. He likes feeling useful.

-Clingy when he sleeps. Always wrapped around someone--or a stuffed animal. Must have physical contact at all times.

-Perpetually dehydrated. -Also loves 80s sitcoms. Has burned through most of them during his insomnic episodes and quotes them at random through out the day. Sometimes people get the references--sometimes they don't. (Aether and him watch Golden Girls when they both can't sleep). -Listens to music almost non-stop. In his room? Music. Doing chores? Music. Trying to sleep? Music.

-The snuggliest ghoul of them all and never, ever, ashamed to ask for (or demand) physical attention. Likes to give and recieve comfort, and despite his stature he is an incredible cuddler. ♥

24. Favorite album?

Meliora, it will always be meliora. I love how the album flows together, I love how the entire album has an undertone of manipulation - trying to play off your insecurity and your doubts. Coaxing you into the idea of their religion. It makes me insane /pos but also Meliora was the first album of theirs I ever listened to all the way through.

27. How non-human do you prefer your ghouls?

I don't remember who said it (I really really wanna say it was Saint but I am very often wrong) but someone answered this question a while back and basically explained their ghoul hc as having three stages of appearance and I really fuck with it.

Full human glamor (maybe their teeth are a little too sharp and maybe their eyes seem a bit off but otherwise totally human), half glamor (you'll see some horns, maybe a tail, and a few other little things like Rain's gills or Phantom's slightly shadowy edges but still close enough to human not to scare siblings), and full ghoul (reject humanity embrace being a fucking creature, Phantom is hardly corporeal, Dew's skin cracks with underlying magma, Mountain sprouts flora and hooves, teeth get longer nails get sharper and their tongues are hardly made for human speech anymore).

So short answer is a little bit of everything -

37. What is something you'd tell to someone who is just getting into Ghost for the first time?

Don't be weird to the unmasked members! You can appreciate them for what they do for the band but please remember they're still their own artists, have their own works, and are not just Ghost. Give their solo work a chance, you won't regret it at all, they're all amazingly talented. :))

Uh oh, this is gonna make it really obvious I don't ever do things.

Song of the year? That's an easy one I think, because I was INSANELY obsessed with "Hungriges Herz" by MIA. this summer and it sparked so much joy and it was so nice, go listen to it.

Album of the year? "Risiko" by Steiner & Madlaina. A perfect record, they keep getting better and better and I adore them. Close second is "Fading" by Die Art, who are my favourite band, but since it's not been out that long it didn't have time to catch up yet. Close third goes to "Du kriegst was du brauchst" by Ansa Sauermann.

Favorite musical artist / group you started listening to this year? I don't think I discovered lots :/ at least I can't think of any definitive thing. It's more on a song basis, but that never led to listening to more of the artists. I had a pretty intense phase of listening to "Toscana Fanboys" by Peter Fox for a while (in Italy of course), and that was new!

Movie of the year? I don't watch lots of films, but a defining experience was watching "Aftersun" in spring. I thought about this one a lot.

TV show of the year? I don't think I watched any, really.

The Kinks

peter quaife!!! this man could honestly qualify as being the first man i was ever truly insane about. i bought so many books about the kinks JUST SO i could read any information about pete. and i mean anything. i once got so offended because i thought a book didn't have enough information about pete! as if he contributed anything to the kinks i have no idea why i was so butthurt about it.

anyway i got into the kinks when i was around??? 14???? and i thought pete was just the cutest little button in the whole world!! i have no idea what attracted me to him but there was something so gosh darn charming about him that made him so appealing to my fourteen year old heart!! i joked about it before but he practically raised me better than my own parents and he wasn't even physically there. that's the power that man has. i get my personality from him. i would draw little love hearts in my notebooks with pete's name in it and pretty much on any surface that would allow me to put pete's name on it. everyone thought he was my boyfriend which in some way he was. i was literally so far up his ass that i REFUSED to listen to any kinks song after he left the band in 1969. there's even one song that the kinks did in 1966 on their face to face album, and it was recorded while pete was on a break after a car accident, and still to this day i have NO IDEA what it sounds like because i haven't heard it. now i know i could break this by being normal and listening to it but i can't do that. it just would be morally wrong, you know???? also i just feel like he's such a nice guy, like i have yet to find a bad word about him,,, and again i'd find a way to make him seem like the victim, he's already got me under the halo effect. literally on my old blog he was tagged as #my baby ♥ - he just gets me so excited. looking back he really did start it all. we should all kill him for it.

Happy Birthday to Kurt Motherfucking Cobain!!

I've grown up with their music since a toddler and I'm grateful my dad was listening to some of the best rock bands and music out there. I can't even begin to explain how their music makes me feel. It always made me feel like i belonged even when i didn't. That nothing was glamorous or cool and everyone was truly something insane in the inside. His raw emotions along with Krist's and Dave's playing made it all the better to sing. My dad would take us to school with only Nirvana or Pink Floyd playing. I grew up having a different sense of self thanks to Kurt being so real and not bullshitting anything. He didn't want to be called or even considered a rockstar, although they knew they deserved it. They were Kurts saving grace in times of him not having that many people to count on. He was in the care of different people growing up. He didn't care about putting up a front or even trying. He was himself. All the way til the end. I had a book i had bought in an obscure library somewhere downtown and it was titled Kurt's Journals. I instantly bought it although feelin skeptical and i didn't really want to invade his privacy. But i did. Each page was literally from his notebooks. Handwriting, doodles, lyrics n all. He wrote down anything. There were ideas for covers and shirts and price ranges for singles ... every little detail.. and i treasured it. I held that book close to my heart. I still miss a man i wasn't alive to meet or see perform. I miss his vulnerability. His voice. His humor. I was born in 98 so it was obviously too late, but i wonder what it would've been like to live during a time like that. Where they all performed together. Feeling their energy into the crowd. Here's to more people like me, and thank you.. to Kurt.. for being you and not giving a single fuck about anyone's image ideals. I thank you for incredible music and memories and a legacy!!! ♥☇

You know Avi's leaving Pentatonix. He's got some solo stuff out. He's not my taste, but you might like it. I dunno.

Yeah no I already knew about Avi leaving to roam the forests to get in touch with his inner soul or whatever. ‘P I totally respect his decision and I understand it… I always got the feeling that a lot of what PTX does wasn’t quite his style. The songs were picked so they could show off their insane talent (*cough*Bohemian Rhapsody*cough*and Daft Punk*cough*). But underneath it all, he kinda always struck me as the old soul type (*◠‿◠*)ノ♥ And I could really tell any time they did anything with a slow tempo and lyrical depth like Run To You or Say Something or Can’t Help Falling In Love, it was a standout song for and he OWNS IT. Plus have you heard him sing Summertime? Boy has got his own style and I kinda felt like he needed his music to mean more even if it meant not showing off all the time. I think the pop songs were probably getting old for him… like, I know that’s basically my only problem with PTX… is that they don’t sing a lot of songs that I know and love. So even though I respect their talent and arrangements, I wish they had more relateable song choices.

Anyway, I didn’t think I was going to be sad about his departure… I mean since PTX is not my everyday type of music anyway… they’re “just” an obsession that hits me once every 6-8 months when I feel like freaking out for a solid 2-3 weeks. But to just listen to them every day is impossible anyway… I’ve got to listen to all their parts and pick out their voices and freak out about Avi and Kevin and cry a little because of their talent… and really about 90% of the songs they sing don’t mean half as much to me as their voices do. I don’t listen to Beyonce or Michael Jackson or Brittney Spears or Katy Perry… I’ve never even heard of Kiiara or OMI or Perfume(is that a band or a song?) or Steppenwolf (I’m guessing they’re an old classic rock band)… I never listened to a single Kanye West song or half of the other popular songs/artists they cover… But then I think about PTX without Avi, and I have to admit, I do get sad. Especially for Kevin because while I don’t get super invested in their personal lives, from what I’ve heard and seen they were the two who clicked instantly and as they said on the Sing Off, they are Meat and Potatoes™.

I’ve heard his new stuff too, and I really like it… It’s really pretty… and a lot easier to listen to on a regular basis. Avi JUST Avi. Very nice. Although I hate to say this but after listening to PTX nonstop for the past 8 days, I have to admit… Avi’s music is just a little bit…. well, a bit boring (especially after listening to PTX). I could do with just a few more lyrics. But it’s also refreshing. Much simpler, and just… soothing. Even if I sometimes miss Mitch's high notes complementing his low notes. But I think it’s good stuff and I could actually listen to it more regularly. It’s got more depth and it will touch a lot more people in a more personal way.
