and like classic mermaid/sea farer romance but the guy is the mermaid and the girl is the pirate/sailor and its all mecha ships and things and she’s like i can teach you about the world! And she shows him how to walk and her favourite food and how to take a photo and then she teaches him a secret handshake that comes in as a sad little thing at the end of the movie and she has to hand him into the government/big bad (same thing/hj) thanks to her leader and he thinks she betrayed him but she saves him and then they live happily forever ok
