mo going to the fish store with he tian is maybe also a metaphor for how his life had changed and how he is not alone anymore i saw a tiktok showing like parallels from his first time there and his second time there first time he had just lost his job he felt hopeless, he had an argument with he tian he was alone he didn’t know about jian yis worry he seemed to be reaching his breaking point similarly to his feelings he gets one free small unhealthy fish out of it similar to how he is broken and alone this is unlike his second time there after jian yi pretty much sacrifices himself for him when he now know he has people that care for him that are willing to stand by him he and he tian have made up and have clarified where they stand to each other of not through words then definitely through actions and unlike the first time he leaves the shop with 3 fish not alone anymore
