#corporate masterlist summary: you’re making many strides- this month brings new work milestones and new personal milestones. after a night with new friends, you find yourself in jungkook’s arms. word count: ~5.6k warnings: cursing, alcohol/drinking, suggestive content in the form of making out, grinding, this is an 18+ story dont forget a/n: ENJOYYYY and thank you to @cutechim for your endless support <33
Tumblr media
Work isn’t so bad in the coming weeks, you quickly decide. When you have colleagues around you who have become your genuine friends, it becomes a little more bearable to tolerate your ungrateful boss.
Even his snide comments haven’t been able to bring you down as of late.
Your midday pick me up often comes in the form of lunch with either or including Jin, Namjoon, Sana and Jungkook and whoever they bring along.
Jungkook. Since you had stopped by his apartment when he had been sick, something definitely shifted between you both. If he had been running through your mind before, he was a near constant presence in your mind now. This crush of yours has morphed into something unrecognizable and unfamiliar to you. It scares you, the intensity and the suddenness of it.
But your fear is outweighed by your affections for him, and it’s something you find yourself wanting to embrace. The instinct to run, to bury it and ignore it had reared its head more than once after you had made the bold move to visit Jungkook in his own apartment.
Well. It was bold by your standards. Spontaneity doesn’t come easily to you, but it seems like Jungkook has you breaking your own unwritten rules. And he doesn’t even know. He doesn’t even know how your lips break into an easy smile when his name lights up your phone or how sending a good night text to him is your favorite part of your night routine.
When you had told Jin that you had visited Jungkook when he was sick in his apartment, even Jin couldn’t mask his surprise-
“You brought the guy soup?! Are you kidding me?! What if he was a murderer? Then what? I can’t believe I’d have to explain your murder to Grandma. Why would you put that burden on me? I’m too hot for that-”
“Seokjin!” You shriek through laughter, “You’re being so dramatic for no reason! Besides Jungkook is too soft to be a murderer-”
“Oh, well, I don’t know if I trust your credibility anymore. You’re the one who’s in so deep that you went to visit the man when he was sick,” Jin says, “Though, that’s very cute and domestic of you to do so. Did you bring him Grandma’s galbitang?”
“Obviously.”
“Damn. Now I’m not the only one who gets the galbitang treatment, huh?” Jin says knowingly, “You’re a sucker.”
Despite your protests, you know he’s mostly right.
Jungkook stopping by your cubicle during quiet, uneventful afternoons is more often than not. Or, you find yourself in his cubicle with two cups of steaming hot tea. One for you and one for him. Sometimes you both gossip in whispers about the members of your respective teams or do some impromptu work on the submissions project. Or you both just talk- about anything that comes to mind.
It’s so easy to laugh with him, to tease him like you would a friend, and to look at him like you would a lover-
“I heard there’s gonna be a big re-org by the end of this quarter,” Jungkook whispers, as if it’s a secret. And honestly, it probably is.
“Oh? Which little birdie told you that? Namjoon? Or Yunho-”
“Namjoon did, but you can’t tell anyone,” Jungkook insists.
“You’re lucky I don’t have a big mouth,” You roll your eyes.
“You’re lucky I trust you,” Jungkook shoots back immediately, a mischievous sparkle in his eyes. Your heart is suddenly in your throat but you maintain an unaffected facade.
“You think people will lose their jobs?” You whisper incredulously, “Re-orgs are so hard to stomach sometimes…”
“I hope not,” Jungkook sighs, “We’re all just cogs in the wheel that is capitalism, huh?”
“Well. I’m glad we’re cogs in this shitty wheel together, Kook.”
And there had even been several times when you had both found yourselves at the gym together, a happy coincidence as it was. Jungkook had felt much more comfortable with correcting your form, and seeing him sweaty with strands of dark hair plastered to his forehead only sent a string of lewd thoughts into your empty head.
If you nearly dropped a dumbbell from your sweaty grip onto your chest as he spotted for you because you caught a glimpse of Jungkook’s flushed cheeks and his easy smile directed only at you, then that was your own business.
And to your surprise, you’ve been getting meeting invites on your calendar from Hae-ri, the head of business development, herself. You’ve always hated networking, but Hae-ri had seemed so genuine when you met her in Tokyo that part of you wanted to maintain that relationship with her.
For some reason, it seemed that she had taken an interest in you. You’ve had many quick chats in her office or virtually if she’s traveling. You’ve come to think of her as a mentor, even if it’s only been a few months of getting to know her. The initial awkwardness you felt, the need to fill in the gaps of conversation had slowly washed away the more you talked to her. Your conversations mostly consisted of work topics- things that you found curious, or things you felt could be improved. You always leave her with a small idea or a thought to chew on until next time. But surprisingly (at least to you), she starts asking you for your perspective and your advice on challenges that she’s having.
It gives you something to ponder about, something that you haven’t allowed yourself to ponder about since you left school and took this job.
It makes you wonder if you’re meant for more. For so long, it felt like you were only surviving. Only trying to keep your head above water. But if you’ve learned anything over the last few months, it’s that it’s okay and encouraged to want and seek more.
High risk, high reward. But with high risk, comes the potential for things to fail. With high risk, comes the potential to be hurt and let down. Is it worth it? Is the journey worth it?
You think it might be, for how good you’ve been feeling lately (for the most part).
Tumblr media
Yuna had quickly brought you into her own friend group, as if you’ve known her and Yuri, Seohyun and Sooyoung for as long as they’ve known each other. You’ve never had a group of close friends like them, let alone a group of girlfriends.
Now, you knew what people meant when they said that every woman needs a group of women around them. It hadn’t made sense to you before, but now… Now it does. And you’re not especially close with them, but they make you feel good. They make you laugh and they make you want to be close with them.
It’s an unfamiliar feeling, but it’s a feeling that gives you those familiar first date jitters.
So when Yuna had asked you to join them for a Friday night out, your first instinct was to hesitate and decline. But the more you started thinking about it, the more you found yourself wanting to go and enjoy a night out with new friends. And you had asked Jungkook for his opinion-
“Should I go? I mean, I don’t want to like… Be the pity invite. They’re all already so close…” You trail off a little nervously, itching at your chin.
“Being a pity invite fuckin’ sucks,” Jungkook agrees, “But it sounds like Yuna invites you because she genuinely wants you there. I don’t think she would’ve asked you to come if she didn’t want you there.”
“But what if it’s only because of Jin-”
“Even if it is only because of Jin,” Jungkook says, “Does it matter? Besides, you talk about things outside of Jin, right?”
“Yeah-”
“Just go. You’ll have fun, sweetheart. I know you will.”
You contemplate sending a picture of your outfit to Jungkook as you get ready- and why did you want to send a picture to him- for what? You don’t know. But you do know. You look good, you know you do- with the silky navy blue of your blouse a pretty contrast to your skin and your makeup done meticulously well.
In the end, you get distracted by Yuna’s texts that she’s arrived at your home. You told Grandma you’d likely be staying the night with Yuna. Grandma had only looked at you fondly, with unsaid pride in the lines of her eyes and her smile. You had made her promise to call you if anything happened, to which she promptly shooed you out of the door and into Yuna’s car.
Yuna grins at you and helps you put your bag in the backseat- which you really don’t need help with. But you appreciate the gesture anyway.
And so the night begins.
Tumblr media
It’s three tequila shots, half a glass of soju and some water later before you realize that you’re well on your way into the warmth that comes with being drunk.
Your lips are permanently etched into a smile, laughter tumbling out of your throat easily and genuinely as you stand with Yuna and her friends in her apartment. Her apartment itself is so very her- very colorful and vibrant, with baby blue throw pillows over a pink couch and a mint green rug. Her apartment is relaxing and inviting, much like her. It’s only fitting.
You had learned about Yuri, Seohyun and Sooyoung- how they had known each other since college but Seohyun and Yuri hadn’t really connected with the group until after graduation. When they had all moved to Seoul for work. There is clearly a deep, understanding bond between the four of them and you’re benignly envious of it. But you don’t let it get you down- not the way it might have before.
You’re also happy that you and Yuna can get along outside of Seokjin. If you’re being honest, that was one of your main worries. That you would need Jin to act as a buffer for you and Yuna. But Yuna brings you into their tight knit circle with her innate warmth, and you want to feel it, too.
“Pick your poison, babes,” Sooyoung grins wickedly at you, standing behind Yuna’s kitchen island. Behind all of her bottles, laid out neatly for your consumption.
“I think you can venture a guess,” You say, handing her your cup.
“Tequila,” Yuna and Sooyoung say together.
“Wow. You know me so well.”
Sooyoung clearly has a heavy hand- you wince when you sip your mixed drink but you’re no quitter.
“Cheers,” Yuri says, “Cheers to us, and cheers to the fountain of youth, in the form of tequila and soju.”
Tumblr media
The rest of the night goes in a blur of dancing, loose limbs and close touches. You can very clearly remember sending selfies and videos to Jungkook, who instantly replied with heart eyes and words that made your face heat up in the crowded bar.
“Who you texting,” Yuna says, wrapping her arms around your shoulders so you’re facing her. She holds you close and you have to steady yourself by holding her waist.
“Jungkook,” You say quickly, “Just wanted to say hi.”
Yuna looks at you knowingly but says nothing, only dancing with you. Yuri joins you from behind, holding your own hips tightly. You sway with them, throwing your head back happily and singing along to the song blasting on the speakers.
Your head feels hazy, but you feel happy.
Tumblr media
“G’nna call Jin,” Yuna slurs to you, “T’ pick us up-”
“Wanna see Kook,” You say stubbornly, already pulling your phone out. You have to close one eye to see the words on your phone screen, and even then, it’s kind of blurry.
You call Jungkook, or at least you think you do. But he answers, a sweet sound of your name ringing in your ears.
“JK,” You breathe into your phone, as if he can hear you over all of the noise.
“Hi, sweetheart,” Jungkook says smoothly, “Having fun-”
“Jin’s comin’ t’pick us up,” You cut across him, leaning against the wall for some stability. You can’t tell if you feel this weightless because of your drunkenness or because of him. “But… I don’t wanna g’home with them. Wanna go home with you.”
“You want me to come pick you up?” Jungkook asks. Anticipation and then happiness blooms in his chest, that you want to see him.
“Yeah,” You reply instantly, “Wanna see you. Miss you.”
“You saw me a few hours ago, at work,” Jungkook teases and laughs when he hears your noise of protest.
“But I wanna see you,” You’re on the verge of whining, and you’re not above it.
“You’re obsessed with me,” Jungkook says, unable to keep the smile off of his face, “I’ll be there in twenty.”
Jungkook has a small smile on his face the entire drive to the bar.
Tumblr media
Jin and Jungkook both arrive at around the same time, parking a few blocks away from the noisy bar and hopping out quickly.
Jin looks at Jungkook as if he is transparent, and it unnerves him. Jin says your name first and then, “You’re here for her, aren’t you?”
“Yeah, she called me,” Jungkook says, not backing down from the obvious heat in Jin’s eyes.
Jin looks at him, long and hard. Despite the bustle of people around them on the busy street, Jungkook knows what this is. It’s one friend, a brother really, looking after another.
Jin claps his hand over Jungkook’s shoulder, and the tension immediately evaporates as if it had never existed.
“Let’s go get our women, huh? Jin says with a grin.
Jungkook lets out a sigh of relief.
Tumblr media
Jungkook sees you before you see him- your head tipped back in laughter, alcohol slick in your eyes and you nearly stumble but maintain your balance by holding Sooyoung’s shoulder for stability.
You look so pretty, as you always do. But tonight, you look relaxed and carefree and it looks nice on you.
And you sharply turn your head to him when Yuna whispers in your ear with a smug grin of her own and your eyes connect with his. You take him in unabashedly, leaving the conversation you were in to be next to Jungkook.
He meets you halfway, threading through the few people standing in between you both.
Your smile is blinding, full of flowers and tequila- of course, you nearly lose your balance trying to get to him as fast as possible. Luckily, he’s close enough to you that he can grab your waist before you fall on your ass.
It seems that almost happens all too often in his presence.
“It appears,” You murmur, “That I’ve almost fallen for you.”
“Yeah, how many times do I have to catch you before you bust your ass?” Jungkook says, eyes dancing and it’s the prettiest thing you’ve ever seen.
“A million and one,” You reply. You’ve had plenty of water from when you had called Jungkook to now, and while the tipsy haze has begun to lift, you still feel the edge of alcohol clouding your mind.
“Cheesy,” Jungkook rolls his eyes. He doesn’t mind the way your hands slide up his arm, as if reassuring yourself that he’s right there. That his hands are really circling your waist and that he had really come to pick you up.
You wrap your arms around him for a wordless hug and sway for a moment in his arms. He smells nice and he feels safe. He tightens his arms around you, wrapping himself around you almost completely.
Your heart flutters at how nice he feels, his chest slotted against yours.
“I’m glad you called me,” Jungkook murmurs, only for you to hear.
“Glad you picked up,” You reply sincerely, meeting his eyes, “And glad you’re here.”
You shine in his arms, bright, bold and beaming. You surprise him again and press your thumbs to his cheeks, before pecking his cheek quickly.
“Let me get you a water and then we’ll go,” Jungkook murmurs, his hand drifting to the small of your back. The satin-y material of your shirt is thin in his fingers- where is your jacket? Had you even brought one?
“Okay, Bambi,” You reply dreamily. You lean against him at the bar, head on his shoulder as you both wait. You tighten your grip on his bicep and he moves his hand to circle your waist and pull you into his side. He likes the way you slot next to him, your quiet heat something he doesn’t know if he’ll ever get used to.
The sparkles in his doe eyes never seem to fade away when he’s with you. Your head is filled with nothing but his reddened pout, the way his hair falls into his eyes, and the way his palm feels on you. His lips move as he speaks to the bartender but all you can feel are the absent circles his thumb makes on your hip.
Your throat goes dry, and the urge to cling to him and hold him close, for you and your eyes only is too great. The man contains a universe in those eyes, and you always want to gravitate towards the magnetic pull of his axis. The overwhelming urge to kiss him washes over you in gentle waves, the desire igniting your veins.
But you wait. In your tequila-addled mind, you decide to wait. Not here, not now.
“Here, princess,” Jungkook says easily, the pet name slipping out without him meaning to. You gasp in surprise with wide eyes and your cheeks light up. Something in your belly is satiated by that and Jungkook knows it.
Interesting. You never fail to surprise him.
“Thank you,” You mumble, “Honey?”
Jungkook’s heart skips a beat and he squeezes your waist in approval. You smile at him, a little bashfully and god, does he want to kiss you. He wants to kiss the gloss right off of your lips, he wants to taste the tequila on your tongue. He just wants you.
But not here. Not now.
Tumblr media
You’re trying your best to not be handsy in the car. What is it about a man with one hand on the wheel? Specifically, what is it about Jungkook, with one hand on the wheel and the other dwarfed over yours in your lap?
His hands were big. That much you knew. But having his hand in yours like this, encased over yours- they just seemed that much bigger. The feeling of his hand in yours sends sparks through your skin. You melt with his touch, with the soothing sound of his voice.
You have to ask him to repeat himself more than once, because you’re too busy enjoying the feeling of his hand in yours.
He chuckles to himself, already aware of your apparent distraction. The tips of his ears are warm and his belly is fluttering. But he’s not ready- when Jungkook parks his car and helps you out of the passenger seat, you don’t let his hand go. Instead, you bring his knuckles to your lips and kiss it softly.
“Thank you,” You mumble, meeting his eyes, “For taking care of me, Kook.”
Jungkook doesn’t let go of your hand after that, not in the lobby, not in the elevator, not even as he unlocks his door. Not even as he gives you water and a snack to chew on. You watch him with hearts in your eyes, looking at him as if he’s hung the moon and stars for you.
Tumblr media
“D’you have clothes? I left mine at Yuna’s,” You ask once your face is freshly washed. Despite your difference in skincare routines, you had not so secretly stolen some of his cleanser and moisturizer.
You suppose you’ll have to skip on toner tonight.
“No, I don’t, even though you’re standing in my bedroom,” Jungkook rolls his eyes and you swat his shoulder.
“You can just say yes-”
“It’s more fun to stress you out,” Jungkook says and rummages around for a shirt and some shorts for you to wear. He pulls out a freshly washed pair of shorts and an oversized grey t-shirt for you, but you’re smirking at him deviously.
“What,” Jungkook says flatly, “Why are you looking at me like that-”
“I don’t want those clothes,” You murmur, mischief swirling in your eyes, “I want the shirt you’re wearing.”
“You’re just full of surprises, aren’t you,” Jungkook says, hoping you don’t catch the stammer in his voice. He moves closer to you, curling a hesitant hand around your cheek. You lean into his touch, tilting your head just a fraction and hum at the warmth of his palm against your heated skin.
He pulls away just for a second to peel his shirt off of his torso and despite your bravado from earlier, you’re not prepared to be met by his bare chest or the full breadth of his tattoos.
In fact, you squeeze your eyes shut to cope with the sudden sight of his beautiful, golden skin and the lines of corded muscle.
“If I didn’t know you, I’d be offended,” Jungkook’s voice comes from right in front of you. He puts the fresh shirt on and his hand resumes it's comforting place on your cheek.
“Shut up,” You muster out, “Turn around, Jeon.”
And he does, hearing your pants drop to the floor, along with the rest. You neatly fold your clothes and place them on his chair before changing into his clothes. And Jungkook hears you inhale deeply- his clothes smell so much like him, the scent of his cologne heavy in the minuscule fibers.
“You can turn around now,” You mumble softly, “Honey.”
If Jungkook thought he was ready to see you looking at him with tired eyes and a tired smile wearing his clothes, he was kidding himself. He won’t deny that he’s daydreamed about it before- seeing you in his clothes, in his bed, in his arms, in his arms, in his arms…
And now you are. Even if you’re a little tipsy. He can’t wait to kiss you, feel the mold of your lips against his, feel how they slot against him- but not now, not tonight.
“Jungkook,” You say, tugging your hand in his. He doesn’t miss the way your eyes are still mischievous. “Should I sleep on the couch? Is it untidy of us to sleep in the same bed?”
“Haven’t even taken me out on a date yet and you’re already trying to bed me, huh?”
“It didn’t take much, Kook,” You laugh.
“No,” Jungkook says, “I suppose it didn’t.”
Tumblr media
You’ve never been this close, this open to anyone. It unnerves you a little, even in your foggy mind. But maybe not as much as it would normally.
You feel like you can just be with Jungkook. Without questioning it, wondering if it’s right or wrong. And you think he might feel the same way, too.
You’re “sleeping” on your side, facing away from him. Jungkook notices how rigid you are, as if you don’t know what to do. He also knows you’re still awake, even if you pretend not to be.
He touches your shoulder tentatively, reassuringly. “Hey,” Jungkook murmurs.
You hum in acknowledgement, feeling like a live wire about to explode. What do you want? What are you doing?
Nothing. It’s so easy with him. What are you so nervous for?
Jungkook can read your thoughts easily, your body language a practiced poem to him. “You alright? Is this too much?” Jungkook murmurs, pulling his hand away.
You miss his warmth already. No, you realize. It’s not too much… You want more. You want more, you want everything he’ll give you.
But he misunderstands, taking your silence for hesitation. You feel him begin to slide off of the bed, likely to take the floor or the couch. But you turn abruptly, shooting up and grasping his forearm tightly.
“No,” You say softly, “Don’t go, Jungkook. Stay with me.”
“You sure?” Jungkook hesitates, “Whatever you’re comfortable with, I’m comfortable with.”
“Yeah,” You breathe, “I’m sure.”
And so he settles in his bed once more, and you still sense apprehension radiating off of him in waves.
“Are you sure?” You murmur, turning to face him. You’re close enough to him that you can see the count of his long eyelashes fanning his cheeks. Maybe you’ve rushed into this, whatever this is. Before you can spiral down that train of thought, Jungkook cups your cheek and your breath hitches.
“I’m sure,” Jungkook says, his cheeks tinted a dusky red, “I… I like seeing you like this. In my clothes, in my bed.”
“I like seeing you like this, too,” You whisper, feeling a little shy. But you return his gentle caress with a warm hand over his chest. Your touch sends happy little shockwaves pulsing through him, and he wants to chase that feeling with you.
“Thank you,” You whisper, somehow even softer, “For taking care of me. I probably interrupted your night...” You shift closer to him, plucking the courage to allow the press of your chest to his and to gently run your fingers through his soft hair.
More shockwaves.
Jungkook resists the urge to say what he really wants to say. Instead, he gives you a blinding smile, one that has you smiling back. “No, there’s no interruption. There’s only you.”
The sheer conviction of his words leaves your entire body buzzing and your face aflame. You’re not sure of many things, but you’re sure of this-
“I’m gonna kiss you,” You mumble sleepily, “Tomorrow, I’m gonna kiss you.”
And somehow, with that declaration, you fall asleep with your head tucked on his chest and he’s left with a small smile on his face.
Tumblr media
Jungkook is awake before you. It’s a cloudy morning, shades of grey hidden behind his blinds. It makes him want to curl into you, just how he was moments before. He had woken up to his arm loose around your waist, his chest around your back. You were so warm, so pretty in his clothes. So unassumingly his, if you’d have him.
He peels away from you hastily. His face immediately heats up, he’s certain the tips of his ears are red from his proximity to you.
Specifically, your ass is pressed into his half hard cock, and he can’t bring himself to pull away. Not when the sweet image of your ass swallowing his cock is a previous fantasy that is so close to becoming a reality.
You squirm in your sleep, or at least, he thinks you’re asleep. You sigh lightly before getting comfortable and Jungkook knows he’s in trouble. With you, he’s always in trouble.
Your hand comes forward to your face and you rub your eyes tiredly. Jungkook’s throat goes dry- what should he do? Feign sleep? Roll away from you? Or-
You make the decision for him though, and lift your hand behind you to feel around for him. A satisfied sigh escapes your lips when you find his chest, and then a soft murmur. A complaint.
“What?” Jungkook chokes, “I can’t hear you.”
“Come closer,” You mumble, your voice hoarse. It sounds like thick, golden honey and Jungkook wants a little taste. He envelopes you, encasing you with his legs and his arms around your waist. Your hand drops on top of his much larger one and you sigh dreamily.
“Jungkook,” You say, not really sure where you were going with that train of thought, because the warmth of his body against yours feels too good to do anything but sink into.
Jungkook nearly purrs into your neck.
“Good morning, princess,” Jungkook says. God, he wants to get used to this.
“Morning,” You reply, threading your fingers through his and squeezing. You push back against him, grinning to yourself when you feel him freeze up behind you. He holds your hip tightly, to stop you from moving.
Jungkook is only a man, only a man with a giant crush that he knows you reciprocate.
“What are you doing,” Jungkook asks breathily.
“I’m just lying here,” You say innocently and grind into him. Jungkook takes the bait, of course he does, and melds his hips to yours. A sharp exhale tickles your ears when he rocks into you lightly. It only lasts a few moments, a funny, sweet feeling swirling in your belly. It spreads to your toes- it’s all because of him, because of his touch. His touch sends a warm buzz all over.
You never want to let it go.
“You remember what you said last night?” Jungkook asks breathily, his lips nearly pressed to your neck. Remnants of your perfume along with the scent of his sheets lingers on your skin.
“I said a lotta things last night,” You tease, reaching behind to thread your fingers through his hair lazily. He groans, bucking his hips just a little faster. A breathy moan escapes from your throat and you’d be a little more embarrassed if you weren’t enjoying how he felt around you so much.
“You did,” Jungkook hums, “You were really talkative-”
“I remember,” You say and finally turn in his arms to get a good look at him. His cheeks and the tips of his ears are tinted a pretty pink. But your gaze immediately lands on his eyes, his beautiful, big, brown eyes. The same eyes that look at you with something similar to magic in them.
“Said I was gonna kiss you,” You continue, “So ‘m gonna kiss you. Can I? Can I kiss you?”
He nods eagerly, eyes wide and lips parted in anticipation. He wonders if you know how long he’s thought about kissing you, about feeling those surely soft lips against his.
And now his dreams with his dream girl are coming true. You press your lips to his, almost bashfully, and gasp into his mouth when he grabs your waist as if he can’t get enough of you. And he can’t- he can’t believe this is real, you in his arms, you kissing him like this.
It’s soft, it’s magnetic, it’s you.  Your skin is soft under his fingertips as his hand shifts to cradle your cheek. Your hand is fisted in his shirt before you wrap your arms around his head and push your fingers into his hair hurriedly.
Your hands are everywhere, trying to hold as much of him as you can. You can’t get enough either- the warm heat of his mouth is too enticing for you to let go of. You’re on a cloud, in a daydream all on your own. Filled with nothing but pastel stars and dark skies and him.
Jungkook devours you, slowly, surely and all at once. He slips his tongue into your mouth and you sigh, swallowing his own moan. Jungkook holds you close but presses your back on the bed and hovers over you when he pulls away slightly to catch a breath.
But you pull him back towards you impatiently by the collar of his shirt and press your lips to his. Jungkook re-centers you, slowing your impatience and kisses you languidly as if you have all of the time in the world to learn the soft lines of his equally soft lips. His name comes out of your mouth in a breathy whisper- he’s on his knees to hear you say his name like that as many times as he can.
Jungkook pulls away for a longer breath, peering down at you with wide eyes and bitten lips.
“J-Jungkook,” You say with a splitting grin. It just feels right, it feels natural with him. “That was fun. I wanna do that again... baby.”
He laughs, eyes crinkling and honest and it makes your heart flutter. Jungkook presses his lips to your forehead, your cheeks, your chin, your nose- and in between you laugh airily, wrapping your arms around him to keep him as close to you as you can. Wrapping your legs around his tiny waist, you keep him molded to your chest.
He loses himself in you, in the gentle but firm caress against his heated skin.
“Your hands,” You murmur with a smirk, “Your hands are so big…”
Jungkook snorts and rolls his eyes, nipping at your neck playfully. “Shut up,” He says, voice muffled.
“You’re really hot,” You say a little more seriously, “Like…  really, really hot.”
“Thank you,” Jungkook says almost shyly.
“So you agree? You think you’re really pretty?”
You screech with laughter when he playfully pinches your waist. “You’re really pretty,” He repeats to you, “Like… really, really pretty.”
“Oh, I know,” You grin and cup his cheeks for a quick kiss. You won’t deny the way your heart pounds at his quick, genuine declaration. You wrap an arm around his broad shoulders, rubbing the expanse of his back and enjoying the feel of his thick muscles under your fingertips.
“Kiss me again,” You demand softly, “You’re good at that. We’re good at that.”
And so he does, he kisses you softly, deeply and pulls peals of laughter and soft moans of his name from your throat and into the minuscule crevices between both of you.
Jungkook wonders if his past self would’ve ever dreamed of this moment- of his dream girl in his bed, wearing his clothes, kissing him as if he was the sweetest nectar to grace your lips.

:Jungkook scenario:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jungkook had been distant with you lately. And you didn’t understand why. Things were going great between you two. In fact you were coming up on your 1 year anniversary of being together. You realized it was about a week ago when he started acting weird, right after you mentioned that your anniversary was coming up. You were laying on your bed, head resting on his chest as he rested a hand on your lower back and was holding you securely against him.
“I can’t believe we’ve been together for a year. The time really went by fast.” You feel him tense up underneath you and let out a loud exhale.
“It’s really that soon? Wow...” He says as his voice trails off, almost as if his mind is somewhere else.
“Yeah! It is next Saturday. I can’t wait to spend the day with you.”
“Mhm.”
“Is everything okay?”
“Huh? Oh yeah everything is fine. Don’t worry. I have something special planned for us so I will spoil you rotten.” You giggle and lean up to place a kiss on his cheek. That earns you a small smile although it doesn’t quite reach his eyes. You frown and furrow your brows.
“Are you sure everything is fine? Is anything bothering you?”
“No. Don’t worry. I’m alright, love.” He places his hand on the back of your neck and brings you into a kiss. You absolutely melt and completely forget whatever doubts are floating around in your head. Until the next day that is.
Everytime you text him you are given one word answers if he answers at all. Calls go to voicemail, or he only talks for a few moments and then hangs up on you, claiming he’s too busy to talk. With what you aren’t exactly sure. As far as you know they aren’t planning any comebacks, no performances or interviews coming up. They’re supposed to have the week off. Which is why you were hoping to spend every day with him until the day of your anniversary.
You know he is avoiding you. You just don’t understand why. Was he not planning on spending your anniversary with you because he was going to break up with you? Did he not love you anymore? You wished you could just ask him about it but all day today your texts have been left on read, and your calls have been declined. It honestly broke your heart. It was now the day before what was supposed to be a special day, a milestone in your relationship meant to be spent together. But now you can’t help but wonder if you even still have a boyfriend at all.
You made up your mind. If Jungkook wasn’t going to be honest with you maybe he had confided with one of the members. You knew your best bet was Jimin. Jungkook had often told you stories about how Jimin was always the one he looked to for comfort when he was upset. So if you had done something to upset him maybe he would have told him. You pulled out your phone to bring up Jimin’s contact. He answered rather quickly.
“Y/n! Hey how are you?”
“Um.. well I am not really sure to be honest.”
“Really? What’s wrong you can always talk to me, you know that right?”
“I do. That’s why I called you. Jungkook isn’t with you is he?”
“Hmm no. He’s out with Namjoon. Why?”
“Has he... said anything to you lately? About us?”
“Like what do you mean? He usually always talks about how sickeningly in love he is with you... Actually now that I think about it he hasn’t talked much about you lately which is weird for him. Did something happen with you two?”
“I don’t know and that’s the problem.” Your voice cracks and you feel a few tears slip out of your eyes.
“Ah no! Sunshine don’t cry! It makes me sad to hear you crying.”
You sniffle and wipe your eyes, taking a few calming breaths before you continue.
“He has been so distant from me lately. And it started when I mentioned our anniversary. He’s basically been a ghost since then and I have barely heard from him even though our anniversary is tomorrow. I feel like I need to prepare myself for the inevitable break up at this point because he obviously doesn’t love me anymore.”
“Whoa whoa I’m going to stop you right there. Break up? Not love you anymore? Y/n I have never seen Jungkook like this with anyone before. You’re his entire word and he adores you.”
“Sure doesn’t seem like it lately. I’m just gonna go now. Prepare myself ya know? It was nice while it lasted but, I guess I just wasn’t enough for him.”
“Hey no, don’t talk like that. Listen, I don’t know what is going on because he hasn’t told me anything but I will get to the bottom of this okay? Don’t lose faith in him.”
“That’s okay. Thank you for trying at least. But I’d rather not get my hopes up. It’s just going to make things even worse tomorrow.”
“Y/n-”
“Bye, Jimin.” And with that you hang up and turn your phone off, not wanting to be bothered. You make a mental note to go to the grocery store tomorrow morning and stock up on ice cream and your favorite chips to help cope with whatever is waiting for you tomorrow. You don’t cry, you refuse to. At least not yet. For right now you will hold it together until you get a proper explanation from your boyfriend. If he doesn’t love you anymore you’ll just have to accept it and move on. You glance at the clock and notice that it is only 8pm. But you just don’t have the energy to deal with things anymore. So you turn your light off and fall into a restless sleep.
Tumblr media
After you hang up on Jimin he tries to call you back only to have it go straight to voicemail.
“Damnit Jungkook what did you do?” Jimin pulls his phone out and calls Jungkook next, only to have him not answer. So he calls Namjoon.
“Jimin?”
“Where the hell is JK are you still with him?”
“Yeah? why?”
“Give him the phone right now.”
“What’s-”
“Namjoon please.” Jimin can hear shuffling and some mild arguing before Jungkook finally answers.
“H-hi hyung.”
“Jeon Jungkook! What on earth is wrong with you?! You’ve been ignoring y/n and she just called me and sounded so upset! She was crying you know! Why are you avoiding her and making her think you don’t love her anymore?”
“She thinks I don’t-”
“You’ve been ignoring her for days! Of course she doesn’t! You know she thinks you’re going to break up with her tomorrow? I’ve never heard her sound so sad before. She hung up on me and now her phone is going straight to voicemail. Why are you trying to mess up things with her?” Jungkook is quiet after that. Jimin gives him time to answer.
“I’m not trying to. I just... gosh this is going to sound so stupid.”
“It doesn’t matter. Just tell me. We’re better friends than that you know I won’t judge you.”
“I just feel like a shitty boyfriend okay? Y/n gives me so much and I feel like all I do is take take take. So now when I should finally be giving back to her for all she’s done for me throughout the year, I can’t think of anything! I told her I would spoil her rotten and I can’t even think of anything special for us to do together. She’s going to be so disappointed. I didn’t even realize it was coming up on our anniversary so quickly because the time just went so fast. So I didn’t plan anything. I’m horrible. She’s going to leave me for sure.” Jimin can hear Jungkook’s breath quickening on the other end of the phone and can tell he’s getting worked up.
“Hey, Jungkookie it’s okay. But you know you’re an idiot right?”
“Wow. Thanks hyung that’s really what I needed to hear right now. Namjoon take your phone back.” He says with his voice dripping with sarcasm.
“No no that’s not what I meant just listen to me. How long have you known y/n?”
“2 years?”
“And how long have you been dating?”
“What is the point of this?”
“Just answer me!”
“Tomorrow will be one year if she even still wants to be with me.”
“And in those 2 years has she ever given you the impression she is the type to need grand gestures and big things planned to be happy?”
“...No.”
“And in the past year of you two being together has she ever asked you for anything? Fancy gifts, 5 star restaurants, wine and dine all that stuff?”
“...No. Most of our dates have just been spent at that hole in the wall BBQ restaurant she loves so much.”
“So what makes you think this time will be any different?”
“Huh?”
“What makes you think she’s going to be disappointed if you don’t do that for her tomorrow? Y/n loves you. Not your money, not your status, not your fame. You. She just wants to spend time with you, know that you love her and cherish her as much as you gush to us about. You don’t have to try and impress her just because it’s your anniversary. She just wants you.”
Jungkook is quiet for a few minutes and Jimin begins to wonder if he’s hung up.
“Oh my gosh... Namjoon! Take your phone back I gotta go!” Jimin can hear more rustling and Namjoon calling after him.
“What was that all about?”
“Oh nothing. I think Jungkook is just gonna go salvage his relationship with y/n.”
“Salvage? What happened? Those two adore each other?”
“Come over and I’ll tell you. Pick up some Soju while you’re out please! Bye hyung!”
Tumblr media
You wake up to loud frantic knocking on your front door. You can hear muffled yelling but can’t make out who it is or what they’re saying. You glance at the clock and see it’s now 11pm. You’ve only slept for three hours. You groan and sleepily get out of bed, shuffling your feet over to the door. You look through the peephole and see Jungkook standing there. You take a deep breath and open the door. You’ve already mentally prepared yourself, you at least just thought he’d wait until tomorrow. You don’t say anything, just leave the door open and walk to sit down on the couch. You hear the door close and a few moments later Jungkook is sitting next to you. He wastes no time before he speaks up.
“I’m sorry. Y/n I-”
“No it’s okay. Don’t apologize. You can’t help how you feel or.. in this case don’t feel. It’ll take some time but I’ll get over you eventually. I was really happy with you ya know? The memories we have together I will always cherish but-” Jungkook presses a finger to your lips and your eyes widen in surprise.
“Y/n stop. I’m not breaking up with you.”
You tilt your head in confusion and he lowers his hand.
“You’re not?”
“No. God, no of course not. I love you so much you don’t even know. I can’t even properly put into words how much. I just was scared because I didn’t have anything amazing planned for our anniversary and when I told you I did and that I was going to spoil you I panicked. I didn’t want you to be disappointed and break up with me.”
“You honestly think I would have done that?”
“Well, I mean deep down I knew you wouldn’t but sometimes fear and anxiety wins over your common sense you know?” You shake your head and put your arms around his neck and pull him into a hug.
“I just wanted to spend time with you. We could have spent our whole day here in our pajamas watching movies and eating pizza. It wouldn’t have mattered to me silly. I just love you.”
“That’s exactly what Jimin hyung said.”
“Oh.. so he did call you after all.”
“Yeah he did. Right after you two got off the phone actually. Gave me an earful which was deserved.” You giggle and pull away and place a kiss on his forehead. “I’m really sorry y/n.”
“It’s okay. Just, don’t ever do that again. If something is bothering you we’ll work through it together. And just know that I don’t ever expect any big crazy plans or dates or gestures from you. As long as I have your company that’s all I need to be happy.”
Jungkook’s smile grows so wide as he hears your reassuring and comforting words. He leans in and gives you a sweet kiss, lingering there for a few moments before he pulls away and mumbles that he loves you against your lips.
“I love you too. Now let’s go to sleep. Tomorrow we can just stay home and relax and spend the day together. Okay?”
“That sounds perfect.”

My Type
Tumblr media
Pairing: Shownu x Female reader
Genre: Fluff
Warning: Alcohol mention(?) I don’t know if it’s needed but I’ll put this in here just in case.
Words: 2.7k
A/N: So this is mostly inspired by and based off a scene on episode 12 of Introverted/Shy Boss, some things are exactly as they happened on the show and some are my own. I had been meaning to write it for a long time because ever since I watched the drama the male lead always reminded me of baby Nunu, and my birthday was on February 4th(long time ago I know ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ) so that's when I decided to indulge myself by writing this but it took me longer than I expected.
Shownu was sitting on his bed with his back on the headrest reading a book when he heard the door close. You two met in your senior year in high school. You were the genius student who had skipped two grades. Almost everyone ignored you for being a “child”, or too “precocious”. You had a group project and the rest is history. You’ve been best friends ever since so of course you had his apartment’s passcode. "Aish, this girl" He said getting up from the bed annoyed. He was making his way out of the room when he noticed you with tear filled eyes and a suitcase. “Wha...” He said while freezing on the spot. You were sobbing and ran to hug him. At first he was a bit startled, but as he noticed you started crying he wrapped his arms around you. When you had calmed down he took you to the living room while he went to the kitchen and made some tea for you. "Are you feeling better now?" He said as he handed you a cup with tea. You only nodded and smiled a little. "Then you should go home" "Do I have to?" You asked while pouting. "Yes" He answered while mimicking your gesture. You were about to get up and leave when you saw the door open. "Hyunwoo-ah" She stopped on her tracks. "Oh, I didn't know you were here, Y/n. You said you were alone" She said a bit surprised. "Is this why you wanted me to go home?" You asked. “Ae-Ri, you… you didn’t say you’d come” Said Shownu clearly nervous. “I didn’t expect you to be with another woman making her cry. By the way, what was going on? Was he dumping you, Y/n? Then I’ll leave you to it” Said Ae-Ri. “Yaah, I didn’t make her cry” Answered Shownu and took a sip from his tea. “Then I guess you weren’t getting dumped” She said. “Why would I be getting dumped? We’re just friends” You answered. “Oh yeah, definitely. Well, since you weren’t getting dumped, why don’t the three of us drink together?” She said shaking the wine bottle on her hand. “The three of us?” Asked Shownu. “Can’t we?” She asked back. “Y/n should go. It’s late” Shownu suggested. “Really? I’ll appreciate it then.” To say Ae-Ri was making you jealous was an understatement. And to see Shownu also trying to get rid of you did nothing more than fuel the jealousy inside you. “No, it’s still early. Let’s drink wine together.” You answered. You and Ae-Ri walked to the dining table and sat across each other. "Ok, this is how it's going to work. We'll drink a little and go separate ways." Said Shownu setting three wine glasses and some snacks on the table. "Agreed?" He asked and you both nodded. Then he sat down next to Ae-Ri. "See Y/n, Shownu sat next to me" She said being cocky. "Let's drink." You answered while trying to open the bottle. "Let me do it. Give it to me." Shownu said after seeing you struggling with the corkscrew. "Hyunwoo is so sweet, isn't he? He's thoughtful nice and good-looking. He's even good at sports." "Yaah, why would you say that with me sitting next to you?”He said giving you an awkward smile. “Sometimes it’s annoying that he’s too quiet, but I find it very sexy” She said grabbing Shownu’s arm. “Sexy? Stop it.” Said Shownu pouring the wine on the glasses. “We’re fighting over you, in case you haven’t noticed” Said Ae-Ri. “Stop joking around. Enough.” Answered a flustered Shownu. “I’m serious. Y/n don’t you think we make a better couple?” “God, damn it. If only I was a bit shorter.” Shownu laughed and you glared at him. Now it’s your time for revenge. “Right! His first love. Is that you?” You pointed at Ae-Ri. Shownu choked on his wine. “I guess it’s her. Is she the one who rejected you? I see” You said grinning. “The incident from college?” Ae-Ri asked a bit confused. “Don’t tell her. Shush.” “What is it? What is it that you two know and I don’t? You’re making me curious.” You pleaded.
“Then you should tell me something you two know, but I don’t. How far have you two gone?” “Aishhh, what are you asking?” Shownu replied. “I’m just curious. When did your taste change so… abruptly?” Is she implying that I’m not Shownu’s type? “You know, I wasn’t going to say this. We’ve actually slept together… like a lot of times” In that moment Shownu almost spat his wine. “Ah, I guess you just slept then” Shownu nodded. “Really? I guess it’s true.” You all kept drinking in silence for some time.
After some time you were all a little tipsy and Ae-Ri blurted. “How can a man and a woman sleep together and do nothing else? Several times at that?” “It’s because we’re friends”Said Shownu. “Yeah, sure. You can’t actually expect me to believe that you have never felt something… anything for one another” “Ae-Ri-ssi…” You said. “Ae-Ri-ssi? Ae-Ri-ssi? Yaah Y/n, it’s Ae-Ri unnie or just unnie. I’m older than you, aigoo.” “But you’re only two years older, and so is Hyunwoo and I don’t call him oppa” You refuted. “I bet he’d like that” She whispered and Shownu blushed. “I’m sorry what was that?” You asked as you didn’t understand. “I was saying that Hyunwoo is your best friend so he might be ok with it, but we’ve seen each other 3-4 times at most? Maybe when we get to know each other better, for now I’ll be unnie.” She said. “Sorry unnie.” You apologized and thanked that she got distracted and forgot her question. “It’s ok, but you won’t get away with diverting the topic. Now, I want you two to be completely honest with me here, if you’re not I’ll kick both your asses. Besides, by the time we’re done with the beers and soju there’s no way you’ll remember anything we talked about today.” She said pointing to the bottle and cans that she had gotten out of the fridge not long ago when you ran out of wine. “Rock, paper, scissors to see who goes first?” You were kinda drunk as you three had already downed half a bottle of soju. But still, there was no way you’d share your feelings first, not without knowing how Shownu felt. “1…2……3!… Yayyy I won!” Shownu exclaimed clapping like a little kid. Yep, he’s definitely drunk. "2 out of 3?" You played again and this time you won. "Last one. 1, 2, 3!” He counted and you closed your eyes. You didn’t want to see the moment you lost because with your luck you’ll definitely lose. “Aish, ok I’ll go first” You opened your eyes and saw Shownu with his hand on a fist while you had put out paper, which meant you won. It was impossible, you had never, in the 5 years you’ve known each other, won against Shownu on the last round. Still, you didn’t think too hard about it because it meant you were safe for a little longer. Shownu poured a full glass of soju and drank it as if his life depended on it. As if he was seeking encouragement from the beverage. “I…” Shownu said. “You…?” Asked Ae-Ri. “I…liiiiiike…” And he fell asleep face down on the table. “Aish, why would he gulp down that glass of soju.” You said slightly annoyed at the fact that your empathy won’t let you leave him sleeping there. You struggled for a bit trying to help him to his bed, but realized that you wouldn't be able to do it alone. "Unnie..." You said nudging Ae-Ri. "What?" She answered uninterested. "Unnie, can you please help me take Hyunwoo to his bed?" You said putting on your best puppy face. "Okay, I'll help you. Aigoo, why is he so heavy?" She exclaimed. “Hyunwoo… Nunu, you’ve got to help us here, please try to walk, we’re not far from bed.” You pleaded softly as you both took Shownu’s arms and helped him up. After some struggle you somehow managed to get him in his bed. “Thank you Unnie, you should go home now, it’s pretty late. Can I call you a driver? Or a taxi?” You offered. All that struggle had sobered you up and now you were worried about Ae-Ri. “Don’t worry, I had already requested one. Thanks anyway. What about you? Are you sleeping over?” She asked curious. “Yes, I can’t go home drunk after what happened this afternoon, please text me as soon as you get home.” “Ok, I’ll leave then. My taxi is here.” She said and left.
“Hyunwoo…” You tried to wake him up. He grunted and turned. “Nunu… I’m taking your jacket off, I need you to sit for a moment.” You said. He nodded and you helped him sit and take his jacket off. “Y/n” He said grabbing your arm. “What is it? Are you ok? Do you want to throw up?” You asked worried. “Yes, I’m okay. I mean besides being drunk, like really drunk.” He replied. “Then what is it?” “I-I want to tell you something. And I need to do it now so I can blame it on the alcohol and we can both pretend it never happened.” He muttered. “Okay, I’m listening” You answered a bit uneasy. “I like you” “Awee, I like you too” You replied, unaware of what was going on. “No, Y/n. I like you. Like in an I’d like to date you way.” He said hiding against his pillow. “So you decided to answer Ae-Ri’s question right now? Let’s go to sleep now and later you can confess to me again, okay? I can’t deal with a drunk confession being as wasted as I am and I need you to be sober to deal with the aftermath.” You answered and laid down next to him, only to notice he was already asleep. “Aigoo, what am I going to do with you?” You shifted on the bed for a bit and fell asleep.
You woke up with a headache so you went straight to the kitchen to drink some water. There you found Shownu looking for something. “Morniiiing, did you sleep well? What are you looking for?” You asked startling him. “Oh! Good morning Y/n, yes I slept like I baby. I have a bit of a headache though, so I was looking for some medicine.” “I have a headache too.” You said pouring some water. “Should we make some hangover soup?” He said opening the fridge. “Sure, do you need help?” “Could you please dice the beef?” He instructed while cutting the vegetables. “Sure. Anything else I can help with?” You asked. “Yes. I need to talk to you about something. But first let’s finish the soup, I need your undivided attention.” You kept chopping the beef and passed it to Shownu. He put it on the pot alongside the vegetables and waited for it to cook. When the soup was ready he served it and you both ate in silence.
“Ok, now I’m going to need you to put all your attention in me.”He spoke as he noticed you were both done. As soon as he uttered those words you knew he remembered everything you talked about last night. “Y/n, I like you. And before you say anything, I completely understand if you don’t feel the same way and I hope nothing changes. I don’t want to lose my best friend.” He said blushing. “Nunu, I promise you won’t lose me. But I can’t promise you that things won’t change between us.” He looked at you confused. “What do you mean?… Please let’s forget I ever said anything and act like nothing happened.” He pleaded panicking. “Hyunwoo, calm down.” “How can you ask me that? Life gave me a second chance yesterday and I just had to waste it. Aish, me and my big mouth. Pabo, pabo, Hyunwoo.” He said while slapping himself. You grabbed his hand. “Hyunwoo stop! I like you too.” You said intertwining your fingers with his. “Really?” He asked incredulous. “Yes. I mean how could I not?” “But I’m not even your type.” Shownu was confused. “So what’s my type then?” You inquired. “First of all you like tall guys…” “What, like you’re short?” “Well, no but you’ve always dated these almost 2 meters giants so I just assumed...” “Well, you assumed wrong. I do like my men tall but, since I’m tall myself, the height difference doesn’t have to be a lot, they just have to be taller than me. It was just a huge coincidence.” “You like sociable talkative guys with double eyelids.” “What? Are you for real?” You asked surprised by the lack of confidence. Shownu always struck you as the guy who wasn’t a narcissist but had a pretty high self-esteem. “Yes, all the guys you have dated had double eyelids and were probably acquainted with half of Seoul” He said. “How does being social have anything to do with having double eyelids.” “I don’t know, I’m just stating the facts.” “I see… So your conclusion is that you can’t be my type because you’re not like the people I’ve dated? Have you ever thought why I broke up with them?” “Hmm, no. But still, you don’t seem bothered by that kind of guys, you always date them.” He shrugged. “You are so wrong my dear Hyunwoo, so so wrong. Because, you see… You’re just my type. The reason I broke up with all of them is because of you. Because I wanted them so badly to be like you, I would be so disappointed when I realized that they’d never be.” “Why did you never tell me?” “Because I wasn’t your type, and I don’t blame you. How could I? I was your tall best friend. Your younger tall best friend. Nothing like those short cute noonas you dated.” “Hey, you know I don’t mind you being tall. You also know that I don’t focus on things such as age.” “So you would date a minor?” You asked jokingly. “Aish, you know that’s not what I meant. What I meant is that I focus more on how a person behaves and interacts with others rather than minding if they’re older or younger, or if they’re tall or short. And you little missy are one of the best human beings I know. You’re kind, you’re loyal, you treat people with fairness and you’ve got so much love to give to everyone around you. That’s why you’re exactly my type.” He said looking into your eyes. “I have 2 questions” You said. “Go ahead.” He replied and gestured for you to go on. “You let me win rock, paper, scissors, right?” “You knew?” “I have never, and I really mean never in the 5 years we’ve known each other, won the last round on rock, paper, scissors against you.” You emphasized. “You’re really predictable when it comes to it, to be fair. What’s the second?” He asked. “Does this mean we’re dating?” “Only if you want to.” He answered. You ran to the room and came back with your cellphone. “What are you doing?” “Oh, I’m just texting Ae-Ri unnie that she can no longer flirt with you since you’re mine now.” You answered unlocking your phone. He laughed and hugged you because that was answer enough for him.

My Happy Ending

My Happy Ending - Avril Lavigne
It's nice to know that you were there Thanks for acting like you cared And making me feel like I was the only one It's nice to know we had it all Thanks for watching as I fall And letting me know we were done
You smiled as the cameras went off, feeling Seungcheol’s grip around your waist tighten ever slightly. You never expected to be caught in this situation. You had always been careful about your relationships. You kept things hidden so well and you’d dated enough people over the years to know how to keep it all under wraps.
You really didn’t know what it was about Seungcheol that changed that.
You’d met doing a collab and it wasn’t like you hadn’t had working relationships before. But he did click with you so incredibly well. You got along, working on a song had been easy and fun and you didn’t want to just stop talking to him. So maybe it was the way he was so magnetic. Or maybe how well you got along with each other.
Or maybe the fact that it wasn’t exactly a relationship.
You pressed a little closer to Seungcheol as he led you into the party, away from the paparazzi and fans crowded around, trying to get a peek at their idols. You were having fun with him, you had just hung out to chat a few times but it didn’t take long for a few bottles of soju to lead to kissing and losing clothes and you expected it to only happen once. Until it happened again, and again.
Maybe it was the way that it made you giddy that led you to be less careful than you usually were. Maybe it was the way sneaking around was more exciting. Maybe it was the way you could barely keep your hands off of him when you were together. But no matter what it was the two of you were caught one night leaving one of your little rendezvous and you couldn’t exactly tell the fans he was your fuck buddy now could you?
Seungcheol pulled his hand away from your waist and your attention came back to him as he took a step away from you, something else catching his attention.
“Are you going to get a drink?” You asked him.
“I- uh- yeah, sure,” he seemed distracted.
You grabbed his hand and squeezed it, his gaze properly coming back to you. “Grab me one too?”
He gave you a small smile. “Sure.” You watched as his eyes slipped to your lips and he seemed to hesitate for a moment before pressing a quick peck to your lips. He let go of your hand gently and headed off towards the bar as a small group called you over. Some of your own group members were hanging around with a few other idols including Hansol and Seungkwan and you made your way over with a bright smile.
“Where did Seungcheol go?” One of your members, Lisette, asked.
“To grab drinks,” you hummed, fixing your jacket slightly.
“We were just talking about the two of you,” Another member, Jiyoo, mentioned.
“Oh?”
“They’re just gossiping,” Vernon mumbled. “They like to gossip.”
“Hush,” Seungkwan elbowed him. “We don’t, and we weren’t gossiping. I was just saying the two of you look good together, that’s all.”
You eyed him suspiciously. “I’m sure.”
Seungkwan feigned innocence. “Come on, you know I’d never gossip about you.”
“You’d gossip about anyone,” Jiyoo muttered.
“She’s not wrong,” Hansol chuckled quietly, sipping his drink as Seungkwan started to sputter.
The conversation moved away from you and Seungcheol and you got swept up into it, just barely noticing the way Hansol kept eyeing you. You couldn’t make out the emotion in his expression but each time you thought about it something pulled you back in and you let it go.
These parties always slipped by quickly when you were with friends and tonight was no exception. Your group expanded as a few more came over, Soonyoung and Seokmin making it even more lively than it had been. In fact, you had all but forgotten about the drink that was supposed to be in your hand until Lisette came back from the bar and handed you one.
You looked around curiously as you sipped it. Hadn’t Seungcheol gone to get you a drink when you got here? How long ago was that? You had been hanging about with the others for a good long while. It wasn’t that he had to stay glued to your side, but even to most of the artists in this room you were “officially” a couple so didn’t this look weird? To be apart at a time like this? You thought he would have at least grabbed you a drink if he wanted to go and hang out with friends, and at any rate you were expecting him to take you home at the end of the night. It had been a while since you’d been able to see him so you were more than looking forward to it.
“Where are you going?” You heard Hansol’s voice as you started to wander away from the group, following you.
“To find Seungcheol,” you hummed absentmindedly. “He was supposed to bring me a drink a while ago.”
“Right…”
You turned to look at him. “You okay?”
“What? Me?” He seemed surprised. “Yeah, of course. I’m just… what are you two?”
You knew a number of Seungcheol’s members knew that you and him weren’t technically dating, and Hansol was your friend too. Still, you thought he was aware of the answer.
“We’re just… having fun,” you shrugged.
“Are you?”
“Yeah,” you chuckled. “I mean I like him but it’s all new and fun and we can worry about labelling things later. I don’t know, maybe we were just meant to fall into this.”
“Are-” He stopped, seeming unsure.
“Hansol, is everything alright?”
“Yeah,” he nodded. “Yeah, I’ll let you go find him. Just, maybe you should make sure he’s on the same page about all of this too.”
You felt your face fall just a little as you tried to figure out what he meant. You were quick to pull away from him as you turned and made your way through the crowd. You pushed through to the bar but he was nowhere in sight. It made sense that he wouldn’t have just sat there but you still weren’t sure where to look. Was he somewhere in the crowd? Why didn’t he bring you a drink? What was Hansol talking about?
You weaved through the bodies on the dance floor, keeping your eyes peeled for him and yet coming up empty. Maybe he was moving around a bunch? Maybe you missed him? It took you nearly twenty more minutes to scour the whole place and still you didn’t know where he was and the drink Lisette got you was finally making its way through your body.
A little defeated you headed for the bathrooms, pulling out your phone and texting him. He hadn’t messaged you and you weren’t sure if you were meant to be upset or angry. He’d completely ditched you. Even if he wasn’t you boyfriend yet that was still a dick move and it hurt more than you wanted to admit. It shouldn’t matter but it looked bad and it felt worse, you didn’t want to think too hard about how you felt but you didn’t like being ditched like this.
Some people stumbled out of the bathroom as you turned into the hallway. You heard the giggling and the sound of heels on the floor and then the way those sounds hushed all before you looked up.
Seungcheol was staring at you wide eyed, hair a mess. The girl, an idol you’d seen a few times but never formally met, who had just come out of the bathroom with him straightened her dress and whispered something to him before pushing past you quickly to rejoin the party.
“I can explain,” his words were quick and rushed and yet they fell around you so slowly as you processed what you were seeing.
“You said you were grabbing drinks…” You tried to suck down the emotions welling up inside of you.
“I got… distracted,” he muttered, fixing his tie.
“With a woman.”
“With my girl-”
“Don’t say it.” You knew the word that was about to leave his lips.
He stepped towards you but you stepped back, not meeting his eye. “I should have told you. I know this is- kind of awkward.”
“Awkward?” You tried to keep the emotion from your voice.
“I know I’m publically dating you, I know I shouldn’t have blown you off tonight. But I’ve been meaning to talk to you about all of this-”
“How long, have you?” You cut him off.
“A few weeks,” he said evenly. “So there wasn’t any crossover between, what we were doing and…”
You wrapped your arms around yourself and finally looked at him. “Tell your manager we’re broken up.”
He tried to reach out to you but you stepped back again, feeling your stomach tying into knots. “I really am sorry I didn’t say something sooner, but this way we can both date who we really want to.”
You forced a smile onto your face that probably looked pained. “Of course.”
“It was fun,” he said, as if that was reassuring. “I’m just… looking for more than that.”
“Of course,” you nodded before pushing past him, feeling like you might throw up.
“Hey, you’re okay right?” He asked.
“Like you said, it was just for fun, I’m fine,” you said curtly before pushing your way into the bathroom.
He was everything, everything that I wanted We were meant to be, supposed to be, but we lost it And all of the memories, so close to me just fade away All this time you were pretending So much for my happy ending

Where, When and How - hyung line
Pairing: hyung line member x reader
Wordcount: 1k words each, circa
Genre: (hinted/mild) smut, fluff, lowkey angst
Rating: suggested 18+
Hello lovelies! Since quarantine is separating many lovers all around the world I thought about how the boys would handle being away from their girlfriend. It’s obviously smutty. Every piece is about 1000 words each.
Trigger warning: smut, hinted and sometimes pretty descriptive, really it depends. LOADS OF SEX TOYS (it was supposed to be a sex-toy themed thingy because yay!self-love and yes, you can use them together with your significant other too), some mild bdsm here and there, praise kink (you know where it comes from), swearing and alcohol (nothing extreme, just tipsy), masturbation and that should be pretty much everything. Should I put a disclaimer for a slightly subby Jin and sugar daddy Hobi? (Lol, help)
You can find the maknae line here
Psst--- here is my masterlist
Namjoon
"There's a package for you, sir."
"I don't think I've ordered anything. Is there a name on it?"
"It says it's from miss ___."
"Oh, she didn't mention it but I guess I can call her. Just a second please."
He wasn't sure you were going to be awake but at least he would try. Luckily you picked up.
"Hi baby" you mumbled.
"Hello princess. Have you sent me something? Like a package?"
"Oh, it's already there? Yeah, I didn't tell you because it was supposed to arrive tomorrow."
"So it's mine? You sent it? For me?"
"Yeah, but can you wait to open it until next call? I really wanna see how you're going to react!" You said sweetly.
"So I'm just supposed to wait?"
"Yes, Joonie. Wait, how's your schedule tonight?"
"Maybe grabbing a bite with the guys, I don't know. But I could tell them I'm busy and have dinner with you."
"You get dinner and I get lunch..." You murmured thinking about the time difference.
"Right, yeah. Or I could join you later, have a quick bite with the boys and then come to you."
"As you wish."
"'kay babe, see you later."
"See you."
Namjoon got his package and retired to his room quickly. The boys had been in Los Angeles for three weeks now, working on their latest album and you had been missing Namjoon like crazy. After a video call where every single one of his smallest moves felt like a tease, you decided it was time to act. And that's what the package was meant for.
It was almost one pm in Seoul, you were sitting in front of your laptop, spread out on the bed munching cherries and waiting for your boyfriend to call you. Meanwhile your boyfriend was someplace in LA, it was nine pm and Hoseok was trying to drag the whole crew to some relatively private club nearby to chill and have fun after dinner.
"Please, my girlfriend is waiting on me, Hoseok."
"Come on, just a drink!"
He couldn't say no to some group time.
That's how he found himself definitely tipsy at three am dragging himself from the minivan towards the hall of the villa the boys had rented. When he saw the package laying on top of the table he went completely still for a couple seconds. He quickly picked up his phone and called you right away, squinting at the light and hesitating a little before pressing. Again you picked up. He thought you must be an angel for actually picking up.
"Hello Joon."
"I'm so sorry." He spit out. You could immediately recognise his tipsy voice.
"You were out with the boys, I knew it would never be a "grab a quick bite then I'm all yours" kind of thing."
"Good god baby, you're so good to me."
"Put me on videocall you buffoon, I wanna see your pretty face." You whined on the phone.
"Your voice is strange, were you sleeping?”
“I fell asleep waiting on you. I didn’t sleep well last night.”
“Why, baby?”
“Hate sleeping without you. I only crash when I’m too tired. I’ve been thinking I should put a futon or something in my home studio so I can sleep there when you’re not around. Our bed is so wrong when you’re not here.”
“I’m so sorry, love.”
“It’s okay. Oh, there he is!” You squealed when the camera turned on. “God, if I were there I’d leave so many bites on those collarbones.”
“You’re turning steamy, love. What’s up?”
“Nothing. I might have drank some wine while waiting and I didn’t properly have lunch.”
“Why not? Not hungry? And how much wine?”
“Maybe a little more than half a bottle of that Cabernet Sauvignon that I got for our last night before the trip.”
“Can’t blame you, it was delicious. Are you naked?”
“Have you checked the weather? It’s been over 30 degrees in Seoul for the last three days, even my nails are sweating.”
“Not complaining. Bless me, do I miss those thighs…”
“Don’t you wanna open your gift Joonie?” You teased, covering yourself a bit in your white sheets.
“Yeah, right”. He sort of wanted to open other things. Still, he fumbled a bit with the package and the box, mostly trying to unwrap the box one-handed. Then he propped the phone on the table, not without making it drop screen-down on the table a couple times, and then, finally two-handed, he managed to unwrap the tape.
“Is it…?”
“Yeah, go on.” You bit your lip and he noticed.
“God, you’re evil. Such a tease.” He opened the case and noticed the artsy design fleshlight you had so shamelessly selected and bought for him. “You’re unreal. My clever little vixen. Can’t wait to get home and fucking wreck you.”
“I know it’s not me, but it’s the best alternative.” You smiled and batted your lashes, now letting some of your body show on the screen, still he could only guess where your spare hand had slipped to.
“You’re a fucking blessing. I’m so thankful, love. You’re the best. Damn, that brain of yours. I love how open and smart and confident you are. One hell of a woman playing the babygirl. So sexy.”
You were literally melting at all the praises he was being so prodigal with. “What do you think? Would you like to lay down, relax a little and try whether you like your new toy or not?”
“That’s it. I love you, you cute little brat.” As he got into bed you let him see your naked chest, almost making him trip on his pants and fall.
“Be careful daddy, it would be a shame if you hurt yourself.”
“You’re soooo getting spanked when I get back home.”
“I hope that’s a promise.”
The experience was… satisfactory.
Jin
His girlfriend was a delicate, delicate flower. She was cute and classy and shy. Funny, kind, timid and clumsy. But most importantly pure and innocent. She didn’t look like the type...
So why did he find a very wide choice of sex toys in her bedside table? Some of those things were so complicated he didn’t quite understand how they worked. Like that purple little… or the other, the small cup thing with that sort of screw on top. There was something for any and every taste and kink, at least he thought so. Something like fifteen pieces or so, some of them causing a blush to creep up his neck and ears. He thought his ears were actually on fire.
Most importantly, it’s not like he was looking for this. Especially since you were abroad, and thinking of you using these… after two weeks apart he was ready to catch a damn plane just to watch you use them. He didn’t even need to be the one actually using them on you. Or just using you. He just needed… something. He just needed to survive one more week. Come on, Kim Seokjin, a week is not that long. But that’s what he was thinking in the afternoon while standing in front of your wonder collection. Now it was almost two a.m. and he couldn’t help but keep thinking things that made him shake his head and puff heavy breaths and twist and turn in the sheets. He was tangled up.
“What can I do?” He asked Yoongi the following day after a couple drinks.
“Well, I know what I would do.” Jin turned to him, giving him full attention. “If it were my girl, I’d find something for her, something unique, something that’s gonna become her favourite thing beside myself, and have it sent like straight away.”
“But we never talked about this before.”
“Don’t you know what she likes? What makes her crazy out of her mind?”
“I don’t know man, it’s like a huge plot twist to me. Completely out of the blue.”
“Still you both enjoy your intimate life, I guess.”
“I don’t know, I’m confused!”
“Damn, do you like fucking her?”
“Hell yes. But don’t ever mention my girlfriend and fucking in the same sentence again.”
Yoongi posed the following question more carefully: “And does she enjoy what you two do together?”
“I hope so.”
“Fuck, are you dumb or something? Does she orgasm?”
“I guess?”
“You guess? What the actual fuck, Kim Seokjin! Do you even communicate?”
“I thought she was too innocent to actually have toys. Go figure openly talking about … that.”
“Do you mean sex?”
“Yeah…”
“Are you sure she’s the innocent one? And you’re not just shy? Maybe a bit of a traditionalist?”
“It’s not like I talk about sex that much.”
“Get yourself a bottle of soju and go have that conversation. You can thank me later. And please, before making me your couple therapist, try actually talk with your girlfriend. I don’t know how I’ll erase the idea of you analysing furred buttplugs and nipple suction cups.”
“God, you’re dirty.”
“And my girl is very thankful for that. Because we actually had the kink conversation. And we update it monthly.”
After a grunt and a couple more drinks, Jin reached his apartment. Immediately he texted you. “You up?”
You replied immediately. “I was going to bed. Want me to call you?”
“Do you mind?”
“No. Wanna hear you. Wanna see you.”
He immediately softened. Man, he was a goner for you. He called you instantly.
“Hi sweetheart. How are you?”
“I’m well, a bit sleepy. I miss cuddles.”
Longing hit him as soon as he saw you. “Me too. I think we need to talk about something though.”
“Oh god, you found that white shirt I messed up in the laundry, I swear I’m super sorry about that, I know you don’t want me to do the laundry because you always do that—”
“It’s not that. It’s okay by the way, I already knew and it’s not important. Pink is nice, pink is good. I like it. It’s about ehm… I guess I’ll just show you.” He headed for the bedroom, stumbling a little.
“Darling, did you drink?”
“Night with Yoongi.”
“Okay” you replied warmly.
Turning on the lights, and flipping the camera, you were shockingly faced with your collection of, ahem, toys. “You found… that.”
“You mean those. As in many. As in a lot.” He replied.
You were suddenly very quiet.
“Do you think our sex life is unsatisfactory?”Jin’s voice was low. And very sad.
“No. It's not… Those were before you. Actually I only use them when I can’t have you. When you’re busy or abroad or staying at the dorms and too tired to come home. I like what we do. Me and you. But sometimes I’d want to use them with you. I want to share but you always made me think you were repulsed by the idea—”
“How could I possibly be repulsed by the idea of my girlfriend having an orgasm? Tonight Yoongi asked me if you like our intimate life and I didn’t fucking know.”
“Great, Yoongi knows about this… Well — also, of course I enjoy it. I love you and I love the way you make love to me, and I've never faked pleasure. Because I feel safe enough that I can tell you ‘I’m not done yet, please’ and half a second later you’d be knuckles deep inside me while I’m seeing stars. Pleasure is not an issue, but I wish we had the intimacy to talk about this stuff together. But you always seem so off.”
“Do you have anything with you?” He asked without thinking.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean if you keep all this stuff at home I think you must have brought some piece of your collection with you.” He said, curiosity in his voice, without judgement.
You were confused, surprised by the turn of events. “Lemme.” You rummaged in your bedside table, coming up with a small mascara-shaped object.
“Is that a vibrator?” He asked. You nodded. He sat on the bed and started exploring your collection, asking you questions about some of the objects, why you liked them, what was their specific purpose, what sensation did they give you. It didn’t take long for him to grow confident and desperate enough to ask you to use your own travel toy while he explored your collection.
Jin’s mouth hanging agape, two nipple suction cups and a tickler running along his inner thighs were a vision you weren’t going to forget for a while, especially as he was touching himself and having the time of his life.
Yoongi
He was a mess. A mess and he couldn’t wait to get a shower. Though when he entered his apartment he saw the package on the table and he immediately felt a wave of relief as he noticed you hadn’t opened it and he had a couple hours before you got home.
He opened the package carefully and immediately went for the instructions, which he read thoroughly and carefully. All he needed to do was relax and let himself get carried away. So he moved to the bedroom, splayed a thick towel and got everything ready. He scrolled through his phone gallery, finding an absolutely anonymous picture (anonymous to anyone but you and him). One of your pretty hands was wrapped around his wrist as he pushed your chin up, the other was at the base of his dick, the tip laying softly between your lips. No details of the picture could ever reconduct it back to the two of you, still, you both knew. Stroking himself, Yoongi started thinking of all the things that he would do to you before he left for the tour and after he got back. All the things you would do for him when he would come back. It didn’t take long before the tingling started. That’s when he stopped.
Putting on the ring had him clenching his teeth and releasing one very strained breath. Then he got the cylinder ready. Pouring the gel was a difficult — and sensitive — matter. A work of accurate self control. But he was determined and absolutely meticulous in the process. After five minutes he slipped out of the gel mould and finally removed the cockring. Thinking for a second, he put it aside. Could come in handy later.
After making sure that the mould was perfectly dried, he poured the medical silicone in it and let it dry, making sure that the bullet vibrator imprinted the perfect slot for insertion. When the timer rang, he attentively removed the silicone part from the gel mould, surprised by the quality of the result. He immediately knew you would adore it. Especially since you could decide to use as a plain, regular dildo or a vibrating one.
But it wasn't meant to be used yet. So he waited for it to be ready and then he moved it into a classy silken pouch, and with a small smirk he put it into a gift box with a nice little bow on it. He proceeded to hide it somewhere you would never look, inside the highest cabinet in the kitchen. It was empty and unused, so he thought it would be safe enough.
A few weeks later he thought it was time for you to receive your grand prize. You had been exceptionally well-behaved, always respecting his schedule, negotiating peacefully over time zones and daily routines. You had been awfully stressed over the new position you had applied for and when your boss finally confirmed your promotion, you immediately texted Yoongi, knowing that his phone was probably silent or in night mode. When he read the text he knew it was time to celebrate.
"I have a free afternoon, wanna skype?" He texted.
“Gimme five minutes, I’m getting out of the bathtub”
God, his knees were already weak.
“Did you celebrate?”
“A very solitary celebration. Ordered takeout, made myself a cup of tea and took a bath.”
“Lemme see~~~”
You opened the videocall, covered in a fluffy white towel, you hair bundled up.
“Hello____” He said, showing you that warm smile of his that made you miss him even more. “Congratulations.”
“Hello stranger! How’s it going? Free afternoon?”
“Yeah. Namjoon is out cycling with Jungkook, Tae is visiting a gallery. Hoseok and Jimin are having a spa day. I think Jin is either sleeping or eating.”
“And you’re staying in?”
“I thought I could have a nice time with my girlfriend...” He pouted and looked away, a hand nestled at his nape.
“Mh, define nice time.”
“I’m not sure but there’s something in the highest cabinet in the kitchen that might help you understand.” He licked his lower lip in that telltale way of his.
“Is it a surprise? A gift for me?” You headed for the kitchen with a small bounce in your step. As you climbed for the cabinet Yoongi tried to steal a glance of your naked body under the towel. He was borderline embarrassed with himself because of how he was salivating.
You squealed when you found your package and quickly jumped off.
“What is it?”
“Open it, kitten.” He had a dark and fond look in his eyes. It was the gaze that made you feel desired and loved. It was the way he told you he loves you immensely.
You smirked and undid the velvet bow quickly. The silken pouch made you even more curious. You pulled the strings and found a lovely, sober white dildo. The dimensions were to your liking, the lenght and girth feeling familiar on your palm. Yoongi looked at you with intent, waiting for you to realise.
"It looks beautiful, Yoongi."
"Look at the base."
"Oh my god, is that a vibrator?" You exclaimed, surprise and wonder in your eyes. "Dammit, I love you."
"I know, kitten. Do you think you wanna try it, princess?"
Only when you were halfway to your orgasm did you notice the extent of that familiarity, Yoongi's heavy breaths coming from the phone as you both got each other off. "It feels almost like you. The shape and the length and the girth. It's sooo good."
"I made a copy for you. Don't want anything but me inside you." With that you grew even more frantic and let yourself come apart for him.
Hoseok
Looking at you coming apart on the other side of the screen was bliss and torture. Hoseok hated everything about the trip to LA. Hated the fact that it had been unannounced and pretty much unscheduled. Hated the fact that you would be coming back to Seoul after a visit to your parents and he would be gone. Hated the fact that he hadn't had a taste of you in three weeks. He just wanted to feel your mouth on his. He felt like he had a million fantasies and almost no way to make them real.
He had sworn he would never, ever voice his concerns since it would only stress you more, and considered your current state you already had to be pretty coiled. You were at your fourth climax (usually you took a deep breath and stopped after the second) and as you let your back lay down on the bed, you murmured "I miss all of you. God, I miss your hands inside me. I need your tongue everywhere. Promise me we're gonna have one full week of oral when you come back. I miss your weight on my tongue." At this point you were simply crazed out with hormones and sleepiness. "It feels so cold. I feel like crying when you're not here to cuddle me after I cum. It's so lonely." His heart was breaking slowly.
"I miss you too, dear." He needed to do something. "Do you want me to send for you?"
"No, we both have to work. It's okay, I'll make it work. Maybe I could stay with my friends, hang out, spend some time together."
"You know you can take my clothes if wearing them helps."
"I don't know, it's sort of bittersweet."
"Just ten days and I'll be there. And then we can hide for a week and I'm gonna fucking feast on you."
You moaned and grunted like a baby, tiredness getting the best of you.
In the meanwhile, Hoseok had already started planning. It took him quite a lot of courage to start browsing. After some comment reading, and tutorials and recommendations he finally decided over the most fitting solution. Out of curiosity he explored further, his head cocked to the side and his brow furrowing over some more complicated and way less obvious objects.
He checked the shipping time and he wasn’t even bothered by the shipping fees for a one-day delivery. He checked out and tried to fall asleep. Obviously it was almost impossible.
Little did he know that, though your post-orgasmic slumber, you had just taken a very similar decision with a cute, satisfied smile on your lips.
The following day Hoseok with a puzzled expression collected his mail. Similarly happened to you, surprised to find a package at your residence reception.
With your lips puckered you picked up the package and checked the sender. As you saw Hoseok’s code name you thanked the lobby man and headed for the lift, taking a selfie in the mirror and sending it to Hobi.
“Flowerboy’s been thinking about me. Man, I must have put on quite the show the other night.”
Half a minute later, your phone blipped. “Princess’s been good and nice. But I must have been a good boy too... Maybe we could both improve our little number tonight. Do not open the box until I tell you.”
“Yes, sir. But you must promise me that you won’t open yours either.”
“Love it when you say that. Your wish is my command, princess.”
After dinner you were both itching to call, but you were afraid Hobi had a schedule or a night with the boys.
“Waiting for you, baby” he texted. That’s all you needed to start the call. You were on the sofa in front of your laptop, box on your lap.
“Hello ____.”
“Hello Hobi! How was your day?” You tried to make some small talk not to seem too eager. He was equally brief.
“Come on, aren’t you curious about your mail?”
“What about yours?”
“Come on, let’s do it together.” You both tore at the tape and counted to three before opening the lid. Your box was noticeably bigger while Hoseok’s was more discreet, since he had to travel and usually he didn’t leave much extra space in his personal luggage.
You blinked a couple times before starting to explore. “You said you missed my mouth on you. I found this thing that basically does it the way you like, it mimics oral outside and still teases you in the inside with a vibe.” He explained matter-of-factly. “And then I got toy cleaner and lube because safety first. Also, I got some stuff for when I come back. Like that ahem- set.” He meant the lingerie. You were speechless. He looked down as he addressed one of the topics that had repeatedly attracted his attention the previous night as he browsed. “I was tempted to get something else, too, but we’ve never discussed that, so I think we could talk about it first. I might want to try some mild restraints and I was thinking maybe I would start with something like an hairband, the tie from a robe or a plain simple tie for men. A ribbon. If you’re interested.” He was very serious and mature about this, stating his proposition and giving you enough space to step back, always the caring and responsible partner.
Still, Hoseok had repeatedly proved being an absolute freak behind closed doors and you could barely contain yourself at the mention of mild bondage. If it were for you, you would already be lying down with your wrists cuffed to the bedpost. Still-
“I think I wanna give it a try.”
“Yeah, and if we like it we can turn it up a notch and get something a bit bolder.”
“Of course.” You tried to process the content of your package. It wasn’t bad. Quite the contrary. But you were actually thinking about Hoseok buying this stuff, your sunshine boy Hobi browsing through sex toys websites and choosing based on what you liked and what he wanted to see you doing. “What about your gift?”
“Oh these! God I almost thought of buying them! Baby, you read my mind!” His smile was radiant and you felt appreciation flow through him towards you.
“It’s a set of six pockets, they have different textures, patterns and levels of softness. I thought you needed something small for when you travel, that you can use under the shower and that helps you relieve your stress.”
“That’s my baby, so considerate.”
“Also, toy cleanser and strawberry lube because I know your tastes.”
“You know me so well. Maybe we should just get them washed and get the party started?”
“With pleasure.”
Indeed.

Bao sat in the back of a bbq restaurant owned by a friend of hers, Jihoon. It was a small whole in the wall that not many people knew about, but that’s why she liked it. The place gave off almost a bit of a cold and damp vibe, but was actually pretty well insulated to Bao’s surprise. She along with a few other people were the regulars, but Jihoon didn’t seem to mind the lack of customers.
“Other than soju and squid, do you want anything else?” Jihoon asked Bao, smirking at the contents on her table.
Jihoon was three years older than Bao. He had tattoo sleeves on both arms, piercings, and was currently sporting a black mullet. And to top it all off, he stood at 6’4”. Jinhwan would cry if he ever stood next to him. Bao smirked at the thought.
“I’m good for now, but we’ll probably order more later,” Bao nodded, pouring herself another shot of soju.
Jihoon smiled, then looked at his watch. “Did he text to say when he was coming?” he asked Bao, taking a seat in front of her, crossing his legs. Jihoon really was handsome, in the “Your daughter calls me daddy too” sort of way.
“Yeah. He’ll be here in a few minutes,” Bao answered, picking up a piece of squid and chewing on it.
“No Bobby today?” Jihoon asked, leaning back in his seat. He coolly stuffed his hands in his pockets.
“Nah. He’s with his family,” Bao said, offering him a piece of squid. He shook his head, but smiled. Jihoon never said much. One of the reasons why Bao liked him. He was a man of few words and always in deep thought. Bao loved picking his brain.
She had met him about two years ago, when she had gone to an auto shop to get some parts for her car. His brother owned the place and Jihoon was there working on his own car. Bobby and Hanbin had come with her that day and the four of them really hit it off.
“There he is,” Jihoon grinned, getting up from his seat. Bao turned following Jihoon as he moved to greet Hanbin who had just walked into the restaurant.
Bao snorted at his get up. He was wearing a gray hoodie, with a furry bucket hat, a black face mask, and a pair of sunglasses (It was currently eight at night.) Obviously he was trying to stay unnoticed.
“Stop. Don’t make fun,” Hanbin said in a way of greetings to Bao. He went for one of those bro hugs with Jihoon, then moved over to Bao who stood to hug him.
“Missed you, dork,” Bao spoke into his hair. It had been a few months since Bao had last seen Hanbin.
Ever since his departure, Bobby had tried to get her to see Hanbin. She had refused for at least four months. She couldn’t deal with the feelings that were attached to Hanbin after his departure.
So after much convincing (and bribing), Bobby was able to get her to finally meet up with him, and that’s where Jihoon’s place came in. It was so secluded that no one ever came here and it made for the perfect place for any of the members to come and meet up with Hanbin. Jihoon even offered to close up for an hour or two to give them more privacy. The man was a godsend.
“I missed you too, B,” Hanbin said, and Bao could feel him smile into her neck. He pulled away and the two sat down. Jihoon had gone off to grab another bottle of soju with another glass.
Hanbin looked around the place and when he saw that no one was around, he took off his hat, mask, and glasses. Bao kept biting her lip to hide her smile.
“Shut up. I was undercover,” Hanbin said, holding his finger to his lips.
Bao who was mid sip of her drink, choked on it, laughing. “Shit.” She grabbed the napkin Hanbin offered her and wiped herself as she kept on coughing.
“That was gold, right there,” Hanbin laughed. Bao glared at him, but she felt herself relax when she saw him smile. It had been a while since he wore it.
“Christ. You’re always leaving a mess for me to clean up, huh?” Jihoon said, shaking his head. He placed the bottle, along with the glass down, plus a plate of raw meat to grill.
“Oh, boohoo,” Bao rolled her eyes at the older and turned to Hanbin who was already firing up the grill.
She quietly watched him. He looked good. Healthy. Bao actually felt a weight being lifted off her shoulders at the realization that he was doing well.
“Bao, you’re staring,” Hanbin said, without even looking up.
“Well of course. It’s been months since I’ve last seen that handsome face of yours,” Bao answered without missing a beat. Hanbin chuckled as he continued to place pieces of meat on the grill.
“How have you been?” he asked her, poking his tongue out in concentration as he focused on the meat.
Bao shook her head at the sight. There were so many times when he reminded her of a little kid, and this was one of them. “That’s my question,” Bao said, quirking a brow at him.
He looked up at her confusedly, mouth slightly open. Bao reached over and tapped his chin to close it. He flushed, then went back to the meat.
The younger cleared his throat. “I’ve been good. Been working on some projects here and there,” he said, looking up at her, smiling. Bao smiled too.
“Yeah?” she asked, biting her lip. “Will I get a special preview?”
“Nope.” Hanbin smiled, shaking his head with his eyes closed.
“Wow. And here I thought I was your best friend,” Bao said in mock hurt.
Hanbin just grinned. “Nah. Even Junhoe is higher on that list than you.” (That little shit.)
“Fuck you,” Bao laughed, grabbing a piece of meat that was cooked. She wrapped it with some lettuce and popped it in her mouth, moaning at the taste. Hanbin always grilled just the way she liked it.
“Good?” he asked, grabbing a piece for himself. Bao nodded, mouth too full to actually answer.
Once she swallowed, she reached for another piece. “I’m working on some stuff too,” she said nonchalantly.
“Yeah?” Hanbin looked up at her in curiosity.
“Yep. The company gave me the okay for a comeback with a mini album,” Bao smiled triumphantly. YG had given her the chance to make her solo debut in 2018 with a single, but now she had gotten the go for a comeback. She was super pumped.
‘Shit! That’s awesome, B,” Hanbin grinned. “Do you have stuff planned yet?”
“Yep,” Bao said, as she chewed. “So, it’ll be four songs. Bobby and Junhoe will be featured on two of them. Those ones are done,” Bao said, waving her hand. “Then I’m actually working with Tablo-oppa with one of them. I’m excited for that one.” She grinned, wiggling her fingers in excitement.
Hanbin laughed. “Yeah? And the last?” he asked her.
Bao smiled up at him. “Still working that one out. I was actually hoping to bounce some ideas off of you,” Bao said, taking a sip from her glass.
“Really?” he asked her, and Bao hated that he actually seemed surprised.
“Yeah. Of course,” she said, running her tongue over the front of her teeth. “I’m being serious,” she added when he still seemed unsure.
“Sorry. I just- Nevermind,” Hanbin said weakly, but smiled at her.
“We all know I suck with feels, so I’m not gonna ask what you were going to say,” Bao said, holding her glass and pointing at Hanbin with it. “But I mean it. I want to work with you again. I miss it. I miss you,” she said, whispering the last part.
Bao looked down at her empty plate. She could feel the younger looking at her. “I miss you too, Bao,” Hanbin said, and she looked up to see him smiling softly at her. “I’d love to help you out,” he nodded.
Bao smiled, then grabbed more meat to place on the grill. “Good, ‘cause I wasn’t taking no for an answer,” she said and Hanbin chuckled.

Summary: You just wanted to take a nap while waiting for your friends, never did you expect the car you were sleeping in to get stolen and you would end up going for a road trip with a guy who had a gambling problem, a girl who committed a murder, and a guy who seems to just hate his life. You especially didn’t expect to have feelings for them??
I felt like my head was spinning as we all piled into the car again. Hyojong and I in the back while Hyuna and Hui sat in the front. Hui started the car and we were off again, “I mean she could just call the police and tell them everything’s alright? Right?” offered Hyojong. “Wouldn’t they ask me where I’ve been? And then I’d have to tell them Hui stole a car, Hyuna murdered someone and we ran you over.” I mumbled. “Calling the police is off the table then” responded Hui. “Oh, this is a disaster!” Hyuna called out. Hui rested his hand on her thigh once more, “Look, it’s all going to be okay. Alright?” Hyuna nodded. I don’t know why I felt so calm at Hui’s words, obviously, it wasn’t going to be alright. We were 4 outcasts that were in some trouble with the police. While I silently panicked at the same time I didn’t care, clearly, none of us had anything to lose. Hyuna mentioned that both her parents had died in a car accident 6 years ago, Hui’s mom left and he became detached from his father, Hyojong grew up in the foster system where he only got out because he became of age, and I had been left by my dad, my mom became a distant drunk and I had no real friends. We were all broken in our own ways and as twisted as it was we were all brought together by something. “I think we should just have fun while we can,” I spoke up “What do we have to lose?” I could tell they all took in my words and contemplated them carefully. “She’s right,” Hyuna declared, “all we have is each other.” And with a new mindset in everyone’s head, we continued our journey. Hyuna had put her feet on the dashboard and nodded along to Hui, who was singing along to some song on the radio. I had rested my head on Hyojong’s shoulder while he had the window rolled down and was smoking another cigarette. The atmosphere was nice. Until we heard a bang and a hiss come from one side of the car. “Fuck.” mumbled Hui “We popped a tire.” I sat up and said, “There’s a spare in the back”. He nodded as he turned into a nearby gas station. Once the car was parked, Hui stepped out to pop the trunk. After a moment of silence, we heard him “Uh, guys?” We all looked at each other confused before getting out of the car to join Hui. There was a spare alright, but that was not all. Stuffed around the compartment were hundreds of bills along with, I pulled a baggie out, “Weed?” Hyojong nodded. “Holy shit, at least we don’t have to worry about being short on money,” Hyuna replied shocked. “Bora told me she sold weed once, not that it was a continuous thing,” I replied. “Whatever the case, bless your friend.” Hui smiled. We carefully pulled out the spare and changed the tire. Hyojong had begun organizing the money “Guys, there’s thousands of dollars here.” He grabbed the money and shoved it into a backpack Hyuna had found in the backseat, along with the weed. It was like someone was telling us to enjoy these moments because little did we know our time together would end fairly quickly. We gave each other a knowing look as we got back into the car.
After some time Hui pulled up to a mall parking lot causing Hyuna to squeal, “Oh, I love shopping!” she laughed “You know you’re really pure for someone that killed a man.” Hyojong mumbled. She sent him a glare causing him to crack a smile. We got out of the car and made our way in. Hyuna immediately pulled me off to a lingerie store, the boys tried to follow before Hyuna protested “No, no no you’ll look like creepy men staring at women’s underwear.”
“Well, what are we supposed to do.”
“Just wait out here.”
“But you’ll take ages.”
“Oh stop whining.”
“Fine, but my reward better be, seeing you both in whatever you buy.”
“Hui!”
He let out a laugh as he went with Hyojong to sit down at one of the benches. Once we were inside she quickly went to work. I couldn’t help but laugh at her seriousness. She pulled out a dark purple set, it was beautiful. “Here,” she handed it to me “this one’s for you.” “For me??” I questioned. She nodded “It’s cute and sexy just like you.” I stood there my mouth opened wide while she continued to go down the rows. When I finally decided to go follow her she had pulled out a hot pink set. “Come on,” she said, “let’s go try them on.” We went to the dressing rooms, she went in first. She came out a few minutes later now wearing her set. God was she beautiful. “How do I look?” she gave a small twirl. I could not help but stare at her body. “Wait,” I mumbled “your straps crooked.” I went over to unravel it, my cold fingers, a contrast to her warm skin. She gasped. I looked over at her and she was already staring at me. Before I knew it I leaned in and softly placed my lips over hers. I pulled away quickly “I am so sor-” I never finished my sentence because she had cupped my face and pulled me into her again. The kiss wasn’t needy or hard, but soft and delicate. Her lips tasted of strawberries. We both smiled into the kiss before pulling away. “Let me get changed, so you can go next.” she giggled and closed the door. Okay, what was this? I’ve made out with Hui, had a wet dream of Hyojong, and just kissed Hyuna. And why was I willing to do it all again. What was developing? In the midst of all my thinking, Hyuna came out, now dressed. “Go on,” she spoke “your turn.” I nodded, grabbed my set, and went inside. After a few minutes of struggling to get all the straps on, I stepped out. Hyuna’s mouth dropped open, “Beautiful, I have great taste don’t I?” I laughed and went back inside. Now that we were both back in our regular clothes, we decided to get a few more things before going to pay. We stepped out of the store and walked over to the boys, “Oh my god, you took forever.” Hui complained. “You’re being dramatic,” I replied. As we began to walk around, I kind of slinked back and looked at the three of them. Hui’s face had been cleaned up but had faint bruises forming. In the light, Hyojong’s eye bags became more prominent. Hyuna’s cheeks were still dusted pink. The three of them were currently joking around and laughing, in this precise moment they looked young. Granted they were young, just had to mature early. I smiled to myself, they were all beautiful in their own ways. And in a weird way, we all completed each other. We needed Hyuna’s personality to keep us from hitting rock bottom, we needed Hyojong’s negative outlook to keep us from getting our hopes too high, we needed Hui’s head to keep us from keeping us from making rash decisions. Why do they need me? I still wasn’t sure. It was Hyojong calling me that brought me out of my thoughts, “Y/N come on, Hui and Hyuna already went inside.” I followed him into a dimly lit store where Hyuna and Hui were already pulling out clothing. After a few hours of wandering around and a few shopping bags later we decided to go back to the motel, change and find somewhere to eat.
We ended up ordering a pizza to the room and Hyojong went to the nearest store to buy bottles of Soju. We ended up talking about our lives again. How Hyojong never really had any friends or had any family, which is why he didn’t see any point in being alive and while he still craved death, we were the closest thing to a friend he’s ever had. Hyuna told us how both her parents had passed away in a car crash and she had survived with only injuries, she blamed herself a lot, to the point where she hated herself, but in the time of being with us, she forgot about that hatred. I ended up saying how everything in my life was temporary, everyone left me at one point or another, and those “friends” I had, I was always the shadow and how I felt like a human now. In the midst of all our eating and talking, Hui cleared his throat, “Okay, I think we should celebrate! Hyuna doesn’t hate herself anymore, Y/N’s not back with her shitty friends, Hyojong’s still alive and I am still handsome!” “Whooo!” came our replies followed by laughter and clinking of bottles. “I say we should go dancing!” Hyuna piped up. “Dancing it is!” Hui spoke up. After we finished eating, we cleaned up a bit and went to change. It was about half an hour later when we were all ready. Hui ordered an uber and off to the club, we were. Hyuna sat in front making conversation with the driver, while I was sandwiched between both boys. We all climbed out of the car, tipped the driver, and went inside. “I’ll go find us a booth!” Hyojong yelled over the deep bass of the music playing. The remaining three of us went to the bar and ordered a few shots to take back. From the other side of the club, we saw Hyojong waving us over. Easily we downed quite a few shots. “Oh my god, I love this song!” Hyuna exclaimed in a fit of laughter before running towards the dance floor. We all watched her move her body gracefully to the beat of the music. God, she was beautiful. She turned around to face us and waved us over. We got up and made our way over to her. We spent time jumping around and moving to the music. “I’m going to the bar!” Hui yelled, “Oh! Me too!” Hyuna yelled after. They both made their way over to the bar to order some more drinks. The alcohol was pumping through my veins, I didn’t care about anything anymore. I raised my arms in the are and swayed my hips, enjoying myself. Hyojong stared at me, his gaze intense. He grabbed me by the hips and spun me around. I laughed to myself as I reached back and wrapped one arm around his neck. And we moved. Both of us feeling the music and each other. I began to grind back on him as his lips ghosted over my neck. I was so immersed in the feeling of his lips and his member growing against my ass that I missed the eyes Hui was giving me from his spot at the bar. I also missed him downing his shot and making his way over to where Hyojong and I were dancing until I felt his hand wrap around my wrist. He yanked me away from Hyojong’s grasp, and into his own. The last thing I saw before being dragged through the sea of sweaty bodies was Hyojong shooting us a smirk. We came to a stop in a dimly lit hallway. Hui softly pushed me against the wall behind me before caging me in with both his arms. I looked into his eyes, they were dark and filled with lust. Immediately I looked at the ground, his gaze being too intense to maintain eye contact. He grabbed my chin and lifted my head “Look at me princess.” he whispered, again I looked at him, taking in how close he actually was. If I leaned forward just a little bit more our lips would touch. So I did. I let out a soft moan at the feeling and grabbed Hui’s collar, pulling him closer. His arms fell down to my hips. I felt his length twitch against my thigh and I dropped one hand to palm him. Our lips disconnected and Hui let out a groan. He rested his head in the crook of my neck, I then began to feel his teeth grazing my skin before he began to suck. Involuntarily I raised my hips causing my core to brush against his hard-on. We both let out sounds of pleasure at the feeling. I moved my neck to give Hui more access when my eyes locked with both Hyuna and Hyojong’s who were both leaning against the wall. Watching us. “Wanna head back to the motel? Continue this privately and maybe include us this time?” Hyojong smirked. I patted Hui’s head and he pulled away reluctantly. “Let’s go,” I replied before the four of us made our way out of the club. If we had stayed a little bit longer or maybe had focused a little more we would’ve heard the phone call being made as we left.

It was a Friday night, the designated night all of your friends got together, and you were getting ready. This time, it would be held at your girlfriend and her brother’s apartment. Choosing a cute shirt and a skirt, you got changed. Quickly doing your makeup, you checked your outfit one more time in your floor length mirror. The Kakao tone went off on your cell phone, signalling you had received a message. Grabbing the device, you saw it was from your girlfriend, Yoonji, asking where you were. You cursed under your breath when you saw there was only twenty minutes left until the original meeting time. She was probably wondering where you were since you always showed up at least half an hour early to help her set everything up. It didn’t help that it took you at least ten minutes to get to her place in a car, so now you would have to run to not be late. Huffing, you grabbed your purse and put on some sneakers before heading out of your apartment. Once you got outside, you looked around and saw multiple people out and about, going on with their nightly plans. Taking in a deep breath, you immediately bolted down the sidewalk in the direction of your destination.
Twenty-one minutes later, completely red faced and out of breath, you arrived at the small apartment. Knocking on the door, you pulled your coat tighter around you. It was dumb of you to walk here, well run here really, but you were in a hurry. If you would have waited for a taxi, you would have been fifteen minutes late. And you knew your girlfriend would never let you live for making her deal with seven men who act like children.
The door opened while you were still trying to greedily gulp in oxygen. Yoonji stood there with a displeased look on her face, "You're late." You looked at your phone, rolling your eyes when you saw you were in fact one minute late. Looking back up, you saw her quickly averted her gaze from your smooth legs. You smirked before you remembered what she had said.
"Just let me in, it's cold and I’m tired~" you whined, a pout forming on your lips. She let a gummy smile appear only for a second before she pecked your lips and dragged you to the living room where everyone was already sitting in a circle on the floor.
Hoseok squealed when he saw you enter, pushing his glasses up, “Y/n!! So glad you could make it.” There was a teasing tone hidden in his words, and you snorted shaking your head. Of course he would find it funny that you were the one late instead of him.
“Can we just get on with the games,” Taehyung complained, crossing his arms across his chest. You watched with a smile as his boyfriend, Jimin, cuddled him closer. They were a cute couple, and you were ecstatic when they had finally admitted their feelings for each other three months ago.
Taking a seat on the floor next Seokjin, you pulled Yoonji to sit on your left, cuddling into her side. She wrapped an arm around your waist, her thumb brushing the uncovered skin where you shirt had ridden up. The innocent action, resulted in your skin to tingle, a shiver down your spine. The smirk on Yoonji’s face showed she had seen your reaction. She added more pressure, her hand going further to rest on your lower back. Her other hand was then placed on your right inner thigh, and you bit your lip while suppressing a moan at the squeeze she gave it. A game of truth or dare began, the dares being innocent and calm.
“Jin, truth or dare?” Jungkook asked his hyung, a mischievous grin on his face. When Jin answered with a dare, you started to feel sorry for him. You knew Jungkook would make him do something either bad or something he was uncomfortable with. And what do you know, he did just that. “I dare you to sit on Namjoon hyung’s lap for the rest of the game.” A blushing Jin cleared his throat before getting onto his best friend’s lap, all the while Jungkook was cackling.
Grumbling to himself, Jin looked around the circle, choosing his victim wisely. Seeing the girl looking bored out of her mind, Jin asked Yoonji, “Yoonji-ah, truth or dare?” The girl slowly looked up at him, tilting her head and thinking of her answer.
“Dare,” came her reply, trailing her fingers softly across your thigh. Taking a look around at your friends, you noticed them watching her fingers trail higher, pushing your skirt up a little bit. Well, all of them except Yoongi, because that would be weird.
Namjoon gulped, taking over for Jin, his voice shaking, “I dare you to give Y/n a hickey.” The room was filled with dead silence, before Yoonji hummed and nodded.
Pulling you onto her lap, Yoonji pushed your hair over your other shoulder. Leaning your head the side you gave her more access. Gripping your hips, she traced her lips lightly over your neck, exhaling hot air on your skin. Goosebumps raised on your arms, breathing picking up. Finally, Yoonji gave you a small kiss close to your collarbone, before suckling the skin. Feeling her start to gently bite made you let out quiet moan, gripping her shoulders. Yoonji pulled you closer to her, her hands grasping your bottom. When she had completed her dare, Yoonji trailed kisses up your throat and your jaw. She pulled you into a short kiss before breaking away from your lips. Breathing hard, you stared into her eyes, forgetting all of the company you had watching.
Glancing around, Taehyung saw Jungkook blushing and staring hard at the hickey that was now on your neck. Even though it wasn’t his turn, he asked the next question, “Y/n, I dare you to give Yoonji a hickey now.” It was more of a demand, but  still reeling from the feel of Yoonji’s lips suckling a burise on you, complied. Excitedly, you leaned towards your girlfriend’s delicate skin on her neck. Since she usually never let you leave hickeys on her, you were too eager to start slow. Right away, you brought her pale skin in between your teeth, biting and creating a love bite. You pulled away, admiring your work, before diving in to leave more spots of blue and purple. Hearing her groan underneath you caused you to bite harder. Gasping, she weaved her fingers in your hair and tugged your head away from her neck. You stifled the whimper and looked at her with lidded eyes.
“That’s enough. We have company Y/n,” Yoonji’s voice was stern, and her words caused your eyes to open wide. Gazing around the room, you saw the boys with red cheeks in embarrassment. You got off her and sat down in your original seat. Clearing her throat, Yoonji raised an eyebrow at the guys, “Well? I believe it’s my turn to ask someone?” And just like that, everyone forgot what had just occurred and continued with the game. All but three of them. Jungkook was still staring at the love bite on your neck, trying to ignore the bulge that had appeared when everything went down. While Taehyung was whispering to Jimin about his recent discovery.
A few more dares and truths later, Yoongi walked into the kitchen, coming back out with a few bottles of soju and beer and cups. Handing everyone a plastic cup, he poured everyone’s preferred choice of beverage. You watched amused as Jimin started taking shot after shot. The rest of you were all drinking responsibly but it seems like Jimin was here to have fun. Taehyung said something in his boyfriend’s ear, causing the drunk man to snigger before exclaiming loudly.
"Y/n! I dare you to kiss Jungkook!" Jimin said, completely gone after only ten shots. Everyone giggled childishly, except for Yoonji. By now everyone was either tipsy or drunk. Though it seemed like she was the only one who hadn't had too much to drink.
Everyone cheered, waiting for you to complete the dare, everyone minus Yoonji. Instead she was glaring daggers at both Jimin and Jungkook. Jimin, for he was the one that proposed the idea in the first place. And Jungkook, for he was smiling and blushing, looking at you with eager eyes that were full of love. Hell no, she was not letting you kiss him. However, before she could stop you, you were already crawling across the circle to where he sat. She tensed up, crossing her arms as her eyes observed the way your lips landed on Jungkook's cheek. It was when you had muttered a ‘cute’ to his bright blush and shiny eyes, that Yoonji had had enough.
Scowling, she got up and  was headed towards her room. You cocked your head, eyebrows furrowed, confused as to why she left so suddenly, "Where are you going?" There was innocence clear in your voice, and it made her even angrier.
She froze mid step, slowly turning to face you, "I'm going to my room." When she turned back to the hallway, you quickly got up and walked over to her, grabbing onto her hand. Why was she leaving so soon?
"But why?" if you had been any sober, you would have seen the insecurity and anger swirling in her eyes.
She laughed humorously, "Because I'd rather not see my girlfriend kiss someone else." You still didn’t understand why she was so mad. It was only an innocent peck on the cheek.
"I'm sorry, Yoonji, I didn't know it would bother you," you told her, tightening your grip on her hand when she scowled. Why was she so mad?
Your stomach dropped when she tore her hand out of yours, "You don't know why it would bother me? Are you fucking kidding me right now Y/n? You kissed another person! Right in front of me!" Not wanting the guys to hear the two of you fighting, she stalked off to her room, with you trailing close behind.
Walking  into her bedroom, your voice was desperate, "Are you really still mad at me?" When all you got was silence, you continued exasperated, "I said I was sorry!" Why couldn’t she just forgive you?
She abruptly turned on her heels to face you, her eyes ablaze with anger, "Sorry? Sorry? That's all you have to say for yourself?! After everything you said, and, and did?!" She was yelling by the end, giving up on trying to stay calm and quiet. There was no way in hell you were serious.
"What more do you want from me?! I can't take it back, and you know if I could, I would!!" You said on the verge of tears. How had it gotten to this point? One minute you were hanging in her living room with the gang, and the next you two were in her bedroom fighting. And fuck why did all that alcohol have to make you even more emotional than normal?!
She scoffed, rolling her eyes, "You should have thought of that before you went and kissed Jungkook!" Yoonji hated this feeling that was taking over her. She hated feeling jealous. Especially over some dumb kid from your shared history class. It also didn't help that he had the biggest crush on you, and everyone knew it besides you. Because you were too fucking oblivious to everything.
"Oh my god it was on the cheek! It was an innocent, platonic, kiss on his cheek! It wasn't like I kissed his lips!!" her rising rage caused yours to finally make an appearance. Tears were cascading down your cheeks by now, and the sight broke Yoonji's heart. Before her aching heart could make her give in, she closed her eyes, and turned away from you.
She stood in front of her window, looking out at the small number of cars driving by, "It doesn't matter where it was. What matters is how you could have prevented it from happening. You could have prevented this fight from happening!!" You wouldn't be surprised if the others could hear you, or if the neighbors could with how loud she was screaming.
"Please Yoonji! I'll do anything, just please don't be mad at me anymore," you cried, feeling your heart drop when she didn't even acknowledge you. Putting a hand over your mouth to keep your sobs from escaping, you turned to the door, planning on leaving. You didn't want to stay if she didn't want you too. God knows you didn't want to ruin things even further.
Right as you put your hand on the handle, her voice stopped you, "Anything?" You tighten your grip on the door, not expecting her to have talked. The only sounds in the room where your sniffles, before you answered her.
"What?" You were confused, voice quiet, not wanting to disturb the sudden calmness. Shuffling could be heard behind you, and you were tempted to look, but stopped yourself. You were scared to meet her hard eyes. Afraid to see the hatred and disappointment that you were sure were there.
You jumped when you felt her press her chest against your back, her cold hand resting on yours, "I said, anything? You'd do anything to fix this? To fix your mistakes?" She tucked your hair behind your ear, and the feeling of her hot breath had your eyes fluttering closed.
"Yes, I'll do anything. I'll always do anything you want me to, Yoonji," you said breathlessly, feeling her wet lips land on your neck. Wanting to feel more of her touch, you tilted your head to the side. Wanting to feel the way she left wet open mouthed kisses on your neck.
She wrapped the hand that was on yours around your front, bringing the other one up to lightly grip your throat, "What did you just call me?" Your breath hitched in your throat, loving the way her fingers slightly cut off your oxygen. It was when she tightened her hand, that you remembered she had asked you a question.
"I'm sorry unnie," you whined, wanting nothing more than to please her and have her forgiveness. She groaned low in your ear, the sound turning you on even more.
Yoonji bit your ear, seductively whispering, "Good girl." The praise had your knees buckling, the only thing keeping you up now being the arm still around your waist.
"Please, please unnie," you panted, aching to feel her touch on all of you. She hummed, turning you around and pushing you back to lean on the door. Reaching around you, she locked it, not wanting anyone to walk in and see the way she unravels you.
Gripping your jaw, she brought your head up to look at her in the eyes, "Open up." Obeying, you opened your mouth as wide as you could with her fingers still holding your jaw. Yoonji put two fingers inside, sliding them in and out, almost as if she were fucking your mouth with them.
She watched as drool leaked from your lips, loving how dirty you looked. You looked at her with lust filled eyes, tongue slurping around her fingers. She became rougher, pushing her digits in deeper, hitting the back of your throat. You gagged, more spit dripping down your chin. Pulling her fingers out, her eyes followed the string of saliva that connect her fingers to your lips. She licked them clean, eyes locked with yours in a heated gaze. The sight caused you to become wetter, and you rubbed your thighs together, trying to create some type of friction. Seeing this, she smirked before turning her back on you.
Yoonji walked over to her bed, sitting down before patting her thigh, "Come be a good girl and get yourself off on my thigh. Can you do that for me? Hmm baby?" Your eyes lit up, excitedly nodding your head, rushing over to her. The idea of riding her thigh causes you to bite your lip.
"Of course I can unnie!" you grabbed the bottom of your shirt, about to pull it off, but she stopped you.
Grabbing the back of your thighs, Yoonji pulled you closer, "Ah, ah, ah. I know you're eager baby girl, but I want you to strip for me. Slowly." Her words had your panties dampening even more. You would have been embarrassed, already knowing there was a wet patch forming, but you were too far gone to care. Nodding, you followed her directions.
Backing away from her, you grabbed the bottom of  you shirt, slowly tugging it over your head. Your shorts followed closely behind, your hips swaying in the process. She stopped you when you were about to sit on her thigh, and you whined. You just wanted to feel some type of relief already.
"Take them off, I wanna see all of you and feel all of you," her voice was husky, filled with desire. A desire to mark you up and let everyone know who you belong to. You quickly took them off, throwing them somewhere in the room. You’re grateful she didn't tell you to do it slowly, because you didn't think you had the self control or patience to be slow anymore.
Situating one leg on either side of her thigh, you lowered yourself to sit. Gasping, you placed your hands on her shoulders. The way her jeans rubbed against your clit had you mewling. Yoonji put one hand on your waist and one tangled in your hair. She bounced her thigh up and down as she helped you rock back and forth. Your orgasm was steadily building, you didn't know how long you were going to last.
Yoonji watched as you threw your head back in pleasure. She watched as your chest heaved with every breath in. Watched as your skin flushed, your body sweating. Her eyes trailed to your throat, thoughts of marking you flowing through her mind. You moaned when she kissed the sensitive spot on your neck, only getting louder when she sucked on the skin.  You knew a bruise was going to form and you couldn't careless. You wanted everyone to know she was the one bringing you to this state.
Right as you got to the edge, she ceased your movements, causing you to pathetically whine, "Yoonjiiii." Desperation was clear on your face. Eyes watering, lips swollen from all your biting, it was a sight Yoonji really liked. But now was not the time to give into you. You still had a lot to do before she could forgive you.
"You're really asking to be punished aren't you baby?" she cooed, giving your ass a hard smack when you didn't answer her. You really were trying to be a bad girl tonight.
Yelping, you tried to make things better, "No! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to unnie!" She hummed, cradling your cheek and bringing you into a rough kiss. Right away, her teeth tugged on your bottom lip. You opened your mouth, letting her tongue enter, feeling it press against yours. They swirled together, exploring each others mouth.
As the kiss got more steamy, you tried to discreetly grind down to feel some sort of relief. Yoonji pulled her lips from yours, looking at you with dark eyes, "Get up." Looking into her eyes, you quickly followed her order. You stood on shaky legs, awaiting the command you knew was coming.
She stood up as well, pulling you in and locking lips once more. Her hands roamed your body, wanting, no needing to feel all of you. She couldn't wait to have you shaking underneath her. To hear breathy moans tumble past your lips. To watch your face scrunch up, your mouth open in a silent scream as your orgasm washes over you.
"Fuck," she let's out when she backs away from you, running a hand down the side of her face. You looked at her innocently, acting as if you didn't know why she was so riled up. She watched as your boobs heaved up and down with every breath of oxygen you took in. Unclasping it, she threw it behind her and grabbed a hold of your breasts. Pinching your nipples, she watched as you threw your head back in pleasure.
Trailing her hands down your front, she lightly traced the outer lips of your pussy, causing you to gasp. You spread your legs, anticipating her next move. When her fingers are coated in your juices, she slowly slips one in. She thrusts it in and out a few times before pushing in a second one, going deeper than before. You groaned at the slight stretch, clenching around her fingers and coating them in even more of your juices.
Pulling them out of your warm, wet hole, she brings them up to your mouth, "Suck." Grabbing her thin wrist, you bring them into your mouth and licked them clean. Slurping noises from your mouth was the only noise in the small room. When she decided you did a good enough job, she took them out and wiped them on her pants.
Yoonji switched places with you, now standing behind you, "Bend over." You did as told, bending over the bed and resting your head on your arms. She groaned, running her hands down your back, landing a hard smack on your ass, "Mmm what a pretty sight." You closed your eyes, lips parted as you felt her leave another smack on your right ass cheek. This happened a few times, each hit becoming harder than the last , alternating between cheeks.
It was only when your bottom was red, her hand prints covering them, that she stopped. Running three fingers through your folds, her tone was condescending, "I knew you liked getting punished. My dirty little girl.” There was no point in denying it, you both knew it was the truth, but you still tried.
You shook your head childishly, looking back at her and pouting, "No, I don't! I hate it!" She chuckled, for she knew that was a lie. Just like you knew it was as well. You were a little slut when it came to receiving punishments.
"The wetness coating your pretty pussy and running down your thighs says it all. You can't fool me,baby," her voice was stern at the end, and her words had you clenching around nothing, aching to be filled. As if she had read your mind, she gave you what you wanted.
Not giving you any warning in advance, she shoved three fingers into you, instantly starting a rapid pace. Your voice got caught in your throat, not able to let out any sounds but moans, groans, and whines. She added another, feeling you clench around her, a chorus of  'please unnie' leaving in breathless whimpers.
Almost impossibly, her movements quickened even more, wanting to hear you scream. To scream her name out loud. So loud that Jungkook could hear it. She wanted him to know who was pleasuring you so well. She also wanted him and you to know who you belong to. Because it was her, you belonged to her. You were no one else's but hers. And she was the only one who could treat so well and get you to feel this way. She was the only one who could bring you to this state of euphoria.
"U-unnie, I'm so c-close!" you sobbed, feeling the knot tighten in your abdomen. You were almost there, you just needed a little more to push you over the edge. But for the second time that night, Yoonji pulled away, leaving you crying out in desperation. Why wouldn’t she just let you cum already!?
She cooed, patting your head, and wiping your tears away, "Shh, it's okay baby. You'll get to cum soon, but I want it to be on my tongue." You moaned at the meaning behind her words. If there was one thing you loved more than her fingers, it was her tongue. Every time she put her mouth on you, she had your legs shaking in seconds. Like she said in one of her songs, her tongue technology could take you to Hong Kong.
Helping you flip over to lay on your back, she pulled you into a gentle kiss. Lazily kissing you for a while, she waited for your breathing to return to normal. Once she was certain you wouldn't cum as soon as her mouth was on you, she pulled away from your lips. Trailing her kisses from your jaw to your neck, she left red and blue love bites. Her kisses continued down past your naval, stopping once she reached your core.
You jumped in shock when you felt her blow cold air onto you, and moaned when she licked from the bottom of your slit up to your clit. Groaning, she took it in her mouth, giving it a harsh suck, causing you to whine. She flicked her tongue rapidly, quickly bringing you closer to the edge again. Yoonji delved her tongue into you, fucking you with it, alternating her pace between fast and rough, and slow and hard. Gasping, you wrapped your fingers into her black locks and tugged her head closer to you. She moaned, the vibrations causing you to squirm in pleasure. Pushing two fingers into you, she watched as your eyes squeezed shut. The lewd noises in the room causing you to flush in embarrassment and arousal.
Yoonji pulled away from your core, her chin glistening with your juices in the lighting, "Are you close baby?" Not stopping her fingers movements, she even sped up, she waited for you to speak.
"S-so close unnie," you whined, breath picking up when you felt the knot about to unravel. You had completely forgot there was company over until she brought it up.
She pushed another finger into you, the tightness making her moan, "You gonna cum for me? Gonna be a dirty little girl? Let all of our friends know what we're doing in here?" The idea of them knowing, of Jungkook, knowing what you were doing made you whimper. Yoonji said one word before pulling your throbbing clit back into her mouth and fucking you harder and deeper, "Cum."
You did just that, screaming loudly as you were hit with a toe curling, body shaking orgasm, "Yoonji!!" She smirked, not slowing down her pace until you were weakly pushing her away. As you were coming down from your high, you could start to feel all of the liquid that surrounded you. Yoonji watched as you looked at her curiously, and she confirmed your belief, “Mhm, you squirted all over  me baby.” Hearing the words caused you to let out a groan in embarrassment.
She gently pulled her fingers out of you, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. Crawling up your body, she rested above you, taking in your appearance. Your eyes were glossy, body flushed a pretty red, neck covered in her marks, and your legs still trembling. Pulling you into a soft kiss, she ran her hand through your hair, gently taking out the knots. She flipped the both of you, still pressing her mouth to yours. You broke the kiss, pecking her lips one last time.
"Y'know, there's no reason to be jealous of Jungkook. I'd never like him like that," your voice was quiet, the motion of her fingertips gliding up and down your spine soothing you.
She paused her hands movements, hesitating before voicing her fears, "I'm not jealous per say...I'm more insecure than anything. You could have anybody you wanted, and I'm so fucking terrified that you'll leave me." Your heart fell when you heard her reasoning, feeling guilty for making her even have to doubt your feelings for her. You held her cheek in your warm palm, bringing her face closer to yours.
"Hey, you're the only one I want Yoonji. When I gave you this promise ring, I meant it. I promise to always love you and to always be by your side," you whispered, lips brushing against hers. She gave you a peck before gently pushing you off of her and sitting up.
She stretched, "Alright, enough of this sappy shit. Time to get back to the guys." Your eyes widened, once again forgetting they were even here. Realizing you had forgotten, she laughed, throwing you a pair of her shorts and t-shirt to put on.
"Fuck..." you trailed off, quickly changing and following her out to the living room. When you got there, you hid behind Yoonji, not wanting to face the teasing. Unexpectedly, there was just silence, and for a minute you thought they had left when they realized the activities that were taking place.
You startled when Yoongi's voice broke through the silent room, "Well, I don't know about you, but I definitely could have gone without hearing someone screaming my sister's name." You blushed a deep red, eyes downcast as giggles erupted from everyone. You looked over Yoonji's shoulder, catching Jungkook's eyes causing the two of you to blush even more. Yoonji smirked at the young boy, pulling you into a deep kiss by the back of your neck. He gulped and quickly tore his eyes away from the scene. Yoonji backed away from your mouth, and smirked once again knowing she wouldn’t have to worry about him stealing her girl.

Ateez / GF Defending Them Part 3/3
Sorry y’all. I know I was supposed to have this up yesterday but I got drunk at my friend’s party and we went Christmas shopping at 2am at Walmart. Anyway here’s part 3!
Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3
Tumblr media
Wooyoung:
Wooyoung was born loud and exuberant. It was a fact of life that his close friends and members have grown to love. Many people who didn't know him mistook him for obnoxious or rude, especially when he exclaimed loudly one night at a local BBQ joint. It wasn't overly crowded; a lovey-dovey couple who were much too close off in the corner ignoring everyone else, a couple of school girls who were nose-deep in thick texts book and piles of coffee cups, and three older men who were throwing back soju bottles like they were about to be discontinued.
You had just walked in behind your bestie, hungry and ready to show her your favorite item after showing her around Seoul for the day. Eight boys in the back caught her attention and she quickly pointed out the one who she found the most attractive as you two found a seat. Just as you looked over, one of them yelled before they all broke out into manic laughter.
They drew everyone's attention for a second before they went back to their own conversations, thoroughly unphased. Except for one of the older men. They had to be in their thirties, probably on some kind of lunch break from their office job, if their business suits were anything to go by. Either way, one of them scoffed, eyes rolling so hard, you could hear it from three tables away.
You and your friend exchanged looks before greeting the server as she took your order. She left with the promise of food in ten minutes as your bestie leaned over to you.
"The loud one with bleach blond hair has been giving you the look ever since we got in here," she whispered with a smirk. "Go talk to him."
You gave her a disbelieving look, "He's way out of my league. I'd just embarrass myself."
Chancing a look at the eight boys in the corner, your eyes made contact with the one she was speaking of before his eyes widened and he quickly ducked his head. You smiled a bit as the two flanking him noticed his blush and nudged him with their elbows, jeering loudly.
This time the office worker slapped his beer on the table, his two coworkers looking nervously between themselves. He turned before they could talk him out of it and locked eyes with a few of the boys, "Yah. Pipe it down over there. Some of us are trying to enjoy a meal in peace."
A few of them looked miffed, yet the loud hottie stood and bowed while loudly proclaiming, "We apologize. Please ignore us."
You thought that would be the end of it but it seemed the man didn't take it well and the next thing anyone knew, he was on his feet. The two near him couldn't reel him in fast enough and suddenly, he was standing in the blond's face.
"Are you mocking me, kid? You should show some respect to your elders."
The boys around him stood protectively, but didn't actively come to defend their friend. It was then you noticed the brightly dyed hair some of them have, along with almost all black attire, baseball caps and face masks that something clicked. They glanced around in a panic as their whispered voices finally tried to defuse the situation. Ah, they are idols. No wonder they looked hauntingly familiar.
"No," the guy growled angrily as one of his coworkers tried to physically move him away. "This little bastard wants to be a comedian so let's hear what's so fucking funny."
Slamming your hands on the table loud enough to have many pairs of eyes on you, you stood and walked over, "They're kids. They get loud, and they apologized. Don't make a big deal out of nothing."
It was silent for a long pause, and the raging guy in front of you obviously didn't expect you to speak Korean but when he recovered, he was sticking his finger in the hottie's face and poked him in the head. "I'm not going to sit back and let some obnoxious brats disrespect me!"
With one hand on your side, you made your way to Wooyoung's side before the other hand pushed the older guy on his shoulder, causing him to take a step back. "Let's not get physical here. He apologized. Accept it or leave."
Turning his anger to you, he grabbed the hand you pushed him with tightly, "Just who do you think you a-"
You gripped his wrist and twisted his arm behind his back in defense while he screamed, pushing him towards his coworkers. "Don't put your hands on other people."
His coworkers worked quickly to drag him outside, and you watched to make sure they were a good distance away before turning to the hottie standing next to you. "You okay?"
He was already staring at you, a blush quickly taking over his face when you spoke. "A-Ah, y-yeah...Thank you, for that. I'm not very good at...confrontation. I'm Wooyoung, by the way."
"Y/N." You smiled. He was really cute up close, especially when he was figiditing. "It's alright. I don't mind saving princes in distress."
His friends burst into laughter while he felt his face heat up. "Aish...now I look so lame! I'm supposed to be saying that to you! Let me repay you by buying your meal then."
Your bestie popped up from behind you with a twinkle in her eye, "OR you can buy her dinner later on? Tell him what I said." Before you could translate, one of the shorter boys (Hongjoong) to the back did with a sly smirk.
The "Oooooh"s and "Aw yeah!"s in the back made you both giggle, but Wooyoung just smiled. "Yeah, I like that idea better."
Wooyoung is all about a strong woman, but he definitely feels some type of way when you defend him. He's torn between loving it and wanting to be the one to protect you. He's absolutely make it about himself, and complain when you're the one always defending him. He'll get over it in a second and then he'll brag to the other members that his s/o can kick anyone's ass so they better be good to him from now on.

Jongho:
Our precious maknae is the strongest of the members, we all know this. And he's so incredibly caring as well. So when he noticed some young teens, around his age, being rude to an elderly man that worked at the corner store, he couldn't sit back and let it happen.
The kids were making a big deal out of the man taking too long to scan their twenty items, to which he just nodded and apologized. You had just walked in, on your lunch break to grab something quick to eat and went to stand behind Jongho. It didn't take long for you to notice the tense muscles in his back or the annoying howling from the teenagers.
"Come on, old man," one of the males nearly shouted. "We've got places to be!"
The other hoodlums chuckled before resuming their conversation, some complaining about him taking too long to get their change.
Jongho could feel the tightness in his jaw start to ache when he opened his mouth to say something. "Shut up. Don't be such assholes."
The ring leader, or at least that's what it seemed like he was since the other teens looked to him as they all turned around, cocked his head to the side. He snatched the plastic bag from the old man, jerking the poor guy forward slightly. Jongho glared at the boy. Seeing this would get interesting, you paused the song on your phone and held your drink with one hand.
"Why don't you mind your own fucking business, punk?" The other teens agreed yet none were stepping up to say more than that.
"The only punk I see around is you. Your parents failed you, raising such disrespectful trash."
Just as you were snickering from behind the taller of the two, the teen pushed Jongho back, which made him stumble back into you. You lost your grip on your phone, dropping it to the hard ground. There was a collective moment of silence as everyone within a ten mile radius watched you pick up the device and flip it over.
A cracked screen. On your new phone. Your one week old phone.
Anger bubbling within you rapidly, you stood, not noticing Jongho's panicked look in his eyes. You stared right past him, glaring at the teen that pushed him. "Are you going to pay for this?"
"H-Huh?" He stuttered before pointing at Jongho, "He's the one who bumped you! Blame him, not me!"
"You pushed him!" The fire in your eyes was nearly an inferno while the teens cowered under the stare. "Do you have no manners?! Do you think you can just push people around? That's how fights start. Do you want to fight?!"
They all looked thoroughly terrified and shook their heads before running out of the store. Their change was still in the clerk's hand and an apple from their plastic bag fell out. You picked it up and called after them, "You forgot your apple, brat!" They didn't even turn around, even as you crushed the apple, effectively breaking it in pieces in your rage.
With hearts in his eyes, Jongho was jaw-dropped as he watched you sigh loudly before apologizing to the clerk and pulling out your wallet. "I'll pay for the apple. I really don't know my own strength some times."
From behind you, a twenty was placed over your hand and Jongho smiled at you. "It's on me. Hi, I'm Jongho. I, also, break apples in my spare time."

Losing sight of the people you used to call your best friends as a child wasn't a rarity.
It literally happened all the time.
In fact, only one in five people are still in touch with their childhood friends when they’re adults.
And if you think about it, it actually makes sense. Unless destiny wanted you to be friends forever, it is completely normal to grow apart. The older you get, the more you change. You develop your own interests, hobbies and think for yourself, that’s just the way of life.
However, when you were a little girl, you had genuinely believed that you had already met the love of your life and would be with him forever..
You had met him in kindergarten, where he walked over to you with his cute suspenders and the most beautiful smile you had ever seen and offered you some of his lunch because some bullies had taken yours away. He had dragged you along and had played all day with you and when you came home that day, instead of crying and telling your mothers about those bullies, you laughed and told her about your future husband.
After that day, you spent literally every single day with him.
He quickly became the only person you ever wanted to play with in kindergarten, but also afterwards.
Your mothers became friends eventually. Were bound to with how often you spent your free time at the other one's place.
Soon after, it was your father's and then it was as if your families were not two, but one big one.
You spent important holidays with each other, went on trips together, had random family dinners..
..and all of that carried on into your teenage years.
Before that, both of you had decided that you wanted to go to the same school, never wanting to lose sight of one another and always wanting to be in the comfort of the other one.
Maybe that had some negatives, because, again, you were both so focused on each other that you barely made friends with anyone else.
You knew that fighting was never an option, if something even remotely close to a fight ever occurred, the other one managed to somehow always fix the situation by cuddling or being funny, so you never had to worry about someday standing there on your own.
Even as you got older and entered the stage of boys suddenly being interesting in a romantic way, nothing really changed between you two.
Yes, you did view each other differently and there were.. moments that probably wouldn't have happened if you were truly 'just friends', but you had your mind set on him being your future husband anyways and from the way he reciprocated the feelings, you had assumed that he felt the same way. You just wanted it to progress naturally..
Some people thought it was weird that you were so close, others thought it was incredibly cute and yet again others were jealous of the connection you two shared.
But you couldn't be bothered. You just lived your life and enjoyed it to the fullest with him by your side.
There were five moments that you still thought about a lot.
Five moments that changed your relationship forever.
The first was already mentioned, that was the first time you had met each other in kindergarten and you knew you wanted to have him by your side forever.
The second was when you two had to decide which schools you wanted to go to.
According to your teacher, she thought you should go to different schools. Your best friend was a very talented dancer, so she had proposed him to go to a high school that had a really good program for dancers or anyone else that was talented in creative fields.
But it was a high school that you could only go to if you had enough teachers to back you up and while he had it, you didn’t.
You weren't nearly as good as him, so you knew you had no chance of getting into that school.
And so even though you would be heartbroken, you said: “You should go there.. it's an opportunity and.. you always said you wanted to be a dancer. Maybe this could be the way to accomplish that,” when the two of you sat on a hill, watching the sunset.
The thing was, you knew that you could still see him. He would still be only ten minutes away from your home.
Yes, it would be weird not being in the same class anymore, but you knew you wouldn’t lose him.
He had watched you for a very long time, your hair flying everywhere from all the wind, yet in this moment he thought you were the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his life.
He had reached over and had grabbed your hand with a smile.
“I promised I wouldn’t leave you, remember?”
“But..-”
“No, (Y/N). There's countless of dance schools that I can go to in my free time and I already talked to my parents about it and they're okay with it. They were more worried about you and me going to different schools,” he had chuckled, “I think they know I'm lost without you.”
“So am I,” you had chuckled as well and had leaned your head against his shoulder, “I wouldn't know what I'd do without you.”
“Me neither..”
The third was when you were already in high school.
There was this construction site near your house, abandoned, because whoever had bought the lot wasn't able to finish what he has had in mind because he didn't have the means to do so.
It wasn't a rare find, abandoned construction sites were normal, but this one was special.
Someone had come up with the rumor – as you had later found out – that the real reason the owner abandoned the lot was because it was cursed. Or more specifically, a treasure that was beneath the construction site, was.
Some people were scared about that curse and stayed away, others came just for the curse and wanted to see if it was true and then yet again others were so determined to find it, curse or no curse, that they began to pilgrim there with their metal detectors and other equipment that you could never afford, just because they thought they could make the find of their lives – joke was on them when they found out it had all been a lie.
Him and you were neither of these people, but since the construction site was so close to your home, you often watched these people with ice cream in your hands and a belly full of laughter.
However, curiosity got the better of you in the end and you two ended up going, very late at night when nobody was there anymore and when the two of you were definitely not supposed to leave the house anymore.
You didn't even really do anything, you just stood in the middle of the construction site and looked around, him jumping at even the slightest of sounds – so much for not being scared, like he always told you.
“Do you want me to get you some diapers from the grocery store?” you had laughed when he had jumped once again and was walking closer and closer to you, until he was suddenly right next to you with his hands wrapped around your arm.
“Shut up,” he had laughed and pressed himself so close to you that you ended up wrapping your arms around him.
“I got you,” you had smiled.
And then you just stood there like this.
Hugging each other and slowly but surely your smile faded when you realized what you had actually just said, because.. you meant it.
This guy in your arms.. no matter what would happen you would always be there for him, you would always offer an embrace and he could always fall back because you would always be there to catch him.
“I got you,” you had repeated as a whisper, more serious this time, “Forever.”
And he knew you meant it by the way he tightened his own arms around your body.
The fourth was when you were both 16.
The two of you had been alone at his house, his parents out for a date and his brother doing god knows what.
You two had just played some video games, hadn't really been doing anything interesting until he remembered that his parents had bought some Soju and hadn't finished it. And because you two were curious about what it would taste like and kind of liked to be rebellious at that stage, you ended up trying it.
Not even a lot, only one glass each, but because neither of you had ever drunk any alcohol before, you were.. funny afterwards.
Not drunk, definitely not drunk, but funny.
You laughed a lot more and ended up dancing in the living room. Him properly, you just flailing your arms and legs around like Squidward from Spongebob.
He had laughed uncontrollably and had stopped you from doing so by standing right in front of you, pressing your arms down against your sides.
You had been so close, your noses touching, both still out of breath from laughing and dancing and..
..you couldn't tell whether it was the alcohol or the feelings, or maybe it was both, but suddenly his lips were on yours.
It was a short kiss, but it was so.. soft.
You remembered how hesitant you both were, but once he pulled back and looked into your eyes, there was no regret, you both just.. smiled.
Because you knew that this would happen eventually and you wanted it to.
You wanted to remember all these moments for the rest of your life and be able to look at them with a smile..
..if it weren't for that fifth moment.
“You promised you'd never leave me!” you had screamed at him, sobbing uncontrollably as you threw pillow after pillow at him, “You're a fucking liar!”
“Please, listen to me,” he had tried to calm you down, but there was no use.
You just continued crying until he ended up doing the same, because his own heart broke upon this sight.
Looking back to this moment, you knew that you should have handled it differently.
You should have been happy for him and should have encouraged him instead of screaming bloody murder. After all, you had once promised him to be by his side forever to and to always be there for him. But.. you were just so broken in that moment, mostly because he hadn’t even discussed it with you. He hadn’t even told you about any of it..
Your best friend, the love of your life.. he would leave. Forever.
Because you had known back then that he would be big one day.
And when he'd be on all those stages, singing for millions of people, he wouldn't waste a single second with thinking about you, while you'd spend the rest of your life wishing he was by your side..
And it wasn't just the fact that he would leave you, it was the timing as well. Your relationship had shifted ever since you had kissed and.. well.. you had hoped it would be able to develop more..
“Please let's just.. try to talk about this,” he had to leave that same day. And he wanted to fix this before that. He didn't want to leave like this.
But you had been so stubborn and just wanted to be angry and so you had pushed him out of the house with a final: “I hate you! I fucking hate you!”
That was the last thing you ever said to him.
You had broken down in the hallway, your mother trying her hardest to help you, but you had done nothing but cry that day.
And as your best friend left for his new life, he didn't do it with excitement, but with tears in his eyes, because he was afraid that he had made the wrong choice.
Maybe.. maybe he should have just stayed with you.
But if he had, then he wouldn't be who he was today.

SUNGJIN
"I want to cry for you. I want to hurt instead of you, I don’t want any scars in your heart ever again."
- Hi Y/N, I know you might be very busy these days but I wanted to see you. I have something to tell you and I'd like to do that face to face... Please let me know if you're free later. Sungjin hung up the phone after leaving his voice mail for you, hoping you would listen to it and give him an answer that same day. - Will you see her again?- Jae asked. - I hope so.- he replied. Sungjin and you had been friends for a while and he started liking you some time ago, but couldn't find the courage to tell you about his feelings... until  now. He had finally decided to confess to you. Later that day he received a text from you telling him that you also wanted to see him because you missed being together and also had something to tell him. This made Sungjin smile widely, feeling butterflies in his stomach. You were going to meet at a park that was pretty hidden from the public so that you could forget about people following you or taking pictures. Sungjin arrived early and waited for you to come while sitting on a bench. Soon he saw you entering the park and smiled. - It's been a long time.- he told you. - Yeah, I missed these meetings of ours.- you answered happily. You spent hours talking about everything that happened lately, laughing and joking around. It was pretty late already and you both knew you had to return home soon, so Sungjin thought it was the perfect moment. "It's now or never." - Y/N... I have to tell you something.- Sungjin said. - Oh me too, I almost forgot.- you replied. - Oh okay, you go first. - Okay fine.- you answered.- You know this famous actor, Lee Jongsuk? - Yeah of course.- he said. - Okay well, I'm sorry I couldn't tell you before but I wanted to do it face to face... We've been dating for about three months.- you said with a huge smile. - Oh that's...- he started talking.- I'm really happy for you, Y/N.- he continued with a sad smile. - Right? I'm really happy I could finally tell you that. What did you want to tell me? Sungjin took a deep breath. There goes nothing. He knew you wouldn't feel the same but still wanted to tell you how he felt, hoping it wouldn't affect your friendship. - I really like you.- he said. - Sungjin... I...- you answered after a long silence. - I'm not waiting for a response.- he cut you off.- I just don't want to have any regrets in the future.  Return home safely. Then he made his way outside the park while you sat there, watching him leave. He felt the urge to cry, but didn't allow himself to do so. He wanted you to be happy more than anything, so as long as you were, he would feel happy for you. Even if you didn't feel the same, it was okay.
JAE
"It’s the only way to make you happy, so I let go, let go, let go."
- Hyung, stop eating ramen!! Leave some food for us.- Wonpil screamed pouting. - It's not my fault that you guys are slow eating.- Jae replied, with his mouth full of noodles. He started paying attention to his phone instead of listening to the guys' complaints about him eating all the food. He scrolled through his twitter timeline, reading some random tweets. Suddenly, a picture caught his attention. Y/N. He had a crush on you ever since you met. You were an extra in one of their videos, an actress from their company. Back in the day you weren't famous, but you got a few good roles in dramas recently that made you gain popularity. You had never talked much to each other, but your bright personality was enough to capture Jae's heart. He had thought several times about how to spend more time next to you, but was never brave enough to make the first step. Despite his awkward self looking like an extroverted guy, he was actually an awkward introverted boy that tried his best to become more social. He clicked the link to the article about you and started reading. "Dispatch confirms that Y/N is now in a relationship with a famous idol." - What the...- Jae said while reading the article. - What's wrong?- Younghyun asked. - Dude... She's dating Mark?- Jae said, looking at the rest of the members. - Who? Who's dating Mark?- Sungjin asked. - Y/N...- he answered, looking at the article again. - What? Y/N? Your crush?- Younghyun asked, noticeably shocked. - Yeah dude... why didn't he tell me? I thought we were friends.- Jae continued. - Maybe they just started dating...- Dowoon replied. - Are you okay?- Wonpil asked. - Yeah... I'm good.- he answered, standing up and walking towards his room. Jae locked himself for a couple of days, working on his music to stop thinking about you. Of course, it was only a crush, but Jae was a sensitive guy and it truly hurt him to hear those news of you dating one of his friends. After a few days of hard work, a new song was ready to come out on their next album, "Letting go". A song that talked about his feelings of struggle, but ended up with him letting you go in order for you to be happy, even if it was with someone else.
YOUNGHYUN
"I thought you would be forever in me but gotta let go."
- Ah, why is the convenience store so far from the dorms...- Younghyun sighed. He wanted to cook some noodles but they ran out of it, so he made his way to the closest store, about 20 minutes away from the dorms. Even though it was a little far from there, the walk was enjoyable. It was already dark outside and there was a nice breeze that made the hot summer days less annoying. He walked with his headphones on, listening to some music, when he suddenly noticed you sitting on a restaurant. You were sitting on your own, looking at your phone. Younghyun smiled widely. He had liked you for quite a while, but never had the chance to tell you about his feelings. You were both very busy and barely talked to each other lately. He stood there, looking at you like a fool, wondering if he should walk towards you and at least, say hi. His eyes couldn't stop contemplating you from the distance. Suddenly, a guy sat in front of you and you left your phone aside to pay attention to him. - Who's that?- Younghyun said to himself. He noticed how you smiled brightly and laugh during your conversation. After that, he noticed that the guy sitting in front of you was Chan. He never thought Chan would be interested in you, nor that you would accept to go on a date. Since when did you know each other? He couldn't stop asking these question in his head when suddenly, you turned around, facing him. Younghyun couldn't help but hide his face under his cap and hope for the best. A few seconds later, he looked at you again to check if you were still facing him. Seeing you so focused in your date, he continued walking. When he finally arrived at the convenience store, he bought a couple of bottles of soju as well. Then, he decided to take a different route, just in case you were still in that restaurant. He arrived at the dorms and started drinking. For some reason, he couldn't delete that image of you and Chan. Suddenly, a single tear rolled down his cheek. He didn't usually show this side of him, but seeing you with someone else truly made him feel somewhat sad. Of course, he hadn't planned to interfere in your relationship in any way. He still wished you would be happy with whoever you were, but deep in his heart he also wished he had a chance to be with you.
WONPIL
"I would hold you so you won’t be apart from me for even a moment."
His eyes couldn't help but search for you. It had become his worst habit, looking at you and trying to picture how he would confess to you. It usually made him space out way too much and of course the rest of the members noticed, but he didn't care about that. - When will you tell her?- Jae asked. - I'm waiting for the right moment.- he simply answered. - Dude, there's no right moment, just ask her out already! - Look.- Wonpil said, taking his eyes off you for a second to give Jae a very serious look.- She's not just any girl, okay? I can't just go over there and ask her out. - Why not?? - Because!- he said, almost screaming. His voice made the waiting room go silent all of a sudden, making Wonpil hide his face from the rest of the people who looked at him, including you. - I will do it when the moment comes.- he told Jae after everyone went back to their business. - Alright.- Jae said, getting up from his seat and walking outside the room. Wonpil had liked you for a long time, but he didn't quite know how to approach you. You were an idol as well and you had first met each other during one of their comebacks. Back then, you had perform right before them. You had a conversation that barely lasted more than a couple of minutes, but he had fallen for that smile and sweet personality of yours. He also found really cute how nervous you were and tried to help you calm down a little. After that you had never had a real conversation, apart from greeting each other during awards and shows. - Are you performing today?- you asked Wonpil, sitting by his side, right where Jae had been sitting before. - Oh, yeah.- he answered, suddenly blushing when he noticed how close you were from him.- What about you? You nodded with a smile. - We are having our comeback stage today.- you told him. - Oh I see, good luck.- he said. Wonpil's hands were sweaty and shaking, he always lost it when it came to you and wouldn't even be able to form a sentence. A staff member told you to get ready for stage and Jae's words came back to his mind. How much longer could he wait to ask you out? - Y/N...- he said before you could stand up, his voice completely shaking. - Yes?- you asked, looking him in the eyes. - I was wondering... Maybe we could go out together sometime.- he answered after taking a deep breath.- Like... in a date. - A date?- you asked, your eyes opened in surprise.- Actually I'm... I'm already dating someone else. I'm sorry, I... - Oh, no, it's okay.- he replied smiling. - Are you sure?- you asked, worried that you could hurt his feelings. - Yes.- he answered.- May I know who it is? - Park Jimin.- you said. - I see.- he replied with an awkward laugh.- Well... Even if you love someone else I will still feel the same about you, but of course, I just want you to be happy. - Y/N, we have to go.- a staff member said approaching you. - Oh, okay.- you said, getting up to follow her.- I'm sorry, Wonpil. See you. - Sure. Good luck.- he answered with a warm smile. When it came to you, Wonpil only had pure feelings. He could never wish anything bad to happen to you, neither could he give you any cold or harmful words. He could just offer you a kind smile and nice words, even if he felt hurt or sad. He didn't lie though, Wonpil just wanted you to be happy, even if he wasn't part of that happiness. And his feelings were also genuine. - Hey you still here?- Jae asked him.- Come on, we have to get ready. - Okay.- he said following him. - Is everything fine?- he asked. - Yes, everything's fine.- Wonpil answered, following him outside.
DOWOON
"Actually, I’m lonely. I hate that the night sky that has no answer."
- Having lunch on your own again?- you asked, sitting next to Dowoon in the company cafe. - Oh... yeah I was alone at the dorms today and didn't want to cook.- he answered. - Gosh why are you so lazy?- you asked, rolling your eyes. Dowoon and you had been friends for a very long time and you couldn't spend more than a week without texting or going out somewhere. You had a great relationship but somehow it wasn't enough for him. Dowoon had developed romantic feelings for you some time ago, but he was kinda scared that asking you out would ruin your relationship. - Do you want to go to the arcade later? You might be bored if you're alone at the dorms.- you asked. - Sure. I'll pick you up.- he answered. Going back to the dorms, Dowoon thought about his feelings, about how long he had been supressing them, afraid that if he let all out he might lose you. Thinking about that sounded ridiculous. You both had a great relationship, a strong friendship that couldn't be broken because of something like that. Why didn't he just tell you? He arrived at the dorm and decided to take a shower, change his outfit and finally confess his true feelings to you. What could go wrong? The worst that could happen was that you just saw him as a friend, then things would continue as they were before. He chose a nice shirt and jeans, sprayed some perfume on his clothes and got ready to pick you up. Your dorm was near his, which made it easier for you to see each other often. Dowoon was really nervous. He was finally opening his heart and telling you about his feelings and to be honest it felt... great. You both walked your way to the arcade with your hand grabbing his arm. You were always like that with him, it felt comfortable for both. You spend a couple of hours trying different games before you made a pause to get some food. It was your treat this time, so you got up to make the order while he waited for you. While you were waiting on the queue, your phone screen lit up with a new notification. Dowoon didn't usually look, it was none of his business, but his eyes involuntarily looked at it. Once he saw the picture in your lockscreen, his eyes started tearing up. It was a picture of you and Sungjae kissing. You hadn't told him about your relationship, but you had been dating Sungjae secretely for a couple of months already. Dowoon couldn't help but sob while you weren't there. It had taken him a long while to finally make up his mind, and of course, it didn't go as planned. - I got the food.- you said happily. Dowoon cleaned his tears with the back of his hand while you placed the dishes on the table. - Are you okay?- you asked. - Yeah... I'm okay, I think I got a cold or something.- he answered. - We'll go to the pharmacy later.- you said, giving him a fork. - Okay...- he replied, taking it and ignoring what just happened.

좋아합니다 (I like you). You x Young K (feat. DAY6). Chapter III.
Tumblr media
Gif: I made it lol Summary: Younghyun is in love with his best friend and decides to do something about it. It won’t be an easy task, will he be able to overcome his fears and change his reality?. Genre: Romance, smut (in the future). »»————- ♡ ————-«« [Previously] 1. Heart surpassed by Soju (available). 2. I missed you (available). »»————- ♡ ————-«« “There’s a spotlight shining on her tonight, could’ve been the way she smiled. No, I’m not going down without a fight. My heart is racing, I can’t forget the feeling burning inside my chest” -Forbidden, This Century.
»»————- ♡ ————-««
Sunday, 9 am. Olivia’s apartment. [Younghyun’s point of view].
I woke up with a caress on my back, feeling tired and without remembering where I was. She was the first thing that came to my mind and, suddenly, I felt goosebumps. I bit my lips, searching for a kiss that I interrupted when I realized it was Olivia who was there with me. Of course, what was I expecting? I thought. I felt upset with my own thoughts that were clearly not going to leaving me alone, ever.
She didn’t care about my rejection and went for a new kiss, expecting to find me like she did last night but my phone saved me from this going any further again. I got away from her to answer it.
-Hello?
-Good morning, Kang Younghyun!- a sweet voice said.
-Good morning!
I smiled like a fool.
-Can we meet before going to the movies? I need one of those vanilla latte you make, if it’s okay with you.
-Of course it is!
-Thank you!
-I’ll go pick you up in a bit-I said while getting dressed.
-I’ll wait for you!
-Wait, you’re leaving?-Olivia asked.
She climbed my back and started kissing me again.
-Yes.
-Without… letting me taste you again?-she purred.
-I have to go, I’m running late- I said, ignoring her lust.
She whined but when she realized I wasn’t giving in, she went back to bed.
I quickly went back home to take a shower before I went to pick her up and take her to my coffee shop.
7 pm. [Group chat].
Dowoon: Hey, nobody forgot about our Jeju trip, right?
Y/N : Of course not, I need to rest…like, right now.
Sungjin: Same.
Wonpil: Don’t worry @Dowoon. I already rented the house for next week, I’m taking care of things.
Jae: I want to believe everybody here arranged to get vacations at work… Inattentive people are not welcome here.
Jimin: Ha!! look who’s speaking, I had to REMIND YOU to do so.
Jae: -.-
Sungjin: Why am I not surprised?
Jae: -.- x2
(…)
Younghyun: Whyyy are there sooo many notifications? someone sum up pls.
Dowoon: We talked about our trip to Jeju, we double checked if everybody got their vacation dates, Wonpil took care of the house for us… we just have to wait until next week.
Jimin: Oh! and I’m going to celebrate my birhday there, where I did last year.
Y/N: Noooo… I’ll bring emotional support for you from my bed that night, my friend.
Jimin: You HAVE to be there!!!
Jae:  Come on, you’ll have fun! We’ll all be there.
Y/N: I’d rather discuss quantum physics at 3 am this time… I’m really tired, you guys.
Dowoon: Come on!!! you have to come.
Y/N: Ok :(((
7:45 pm. Cinema. [Younghyun’s point of view]
This afternoon, the song Forbidden by This Century, made think about how I feel about her again. This need to confess and do something about it was painfully growing inside of me, I honestly think I’m reaching my limit here. Couldn’t stop thinking about the day we met. ♡━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━♡
[Flashback]. Saturday, 4 pm. Coffee Shop. [Younghyun’s Point of view].
Sungjin and I went to this coffee shop near his house, he insisted to get me out of my room after a week of social isolation.
-Hey, shake it off. You’ll meet someone better, wait and see- he said while we got inside.
I broke up with my girlfriend after finding out she was actually screwing with someone she told me, a hundred times, was just a friend. Oh, right.
-I know, man. I just feel like an idiot. I trusted her, you know?
He nodded.
-I know you feel like that now but the feeling will wash away. In the meantime, let’s just enjoy great food and let’s hang out with Dowoon later.
-Fine…
-Hey! What are you guys doing here?-someone asked, far away from us.
I could tell it was Jae that was coming towards us with Jimin and a girl I’ve never met before.
-I dragged him from his cave-Sungjin said, patting my back twice.
My eyes encountered this girl’s eyes and suddenly I was full of questions. Who was she? Where did she come from? What school did she went to? Especially: why was she so pretty???? Oh my God.
-Hey, what’s your name?-I asked.
-Hey, I’m Y/N-she replied with a shy smile.
-She just moved in, she’s new at our school-Jimin said.
-Miss Park told us to make her comfortable and guide her through the activities- Jae added.
-Nice to meet you, I’m Younghyun!
She smiled.
-I’m Sungjin, wanna join us? we didn’t order anything yet.
♡━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━♡
I was waiting for her at the movies, when I finally saw her running towards me.
-Hey!!-she said.
She squashed my body into the nicest hug. She’s the warmest person I know, she never holds back when showing affection.
-Hey, princess.
We talked for a few minutes before the movie started. I promised her that the next time we saw a movie at the cinema, would be one of those horror movies she likes so much, so that’s what we did.
-Feeling better?-I asked.
-Yeah, I think so.
-Why didn’t you tell me about it before?
-It’s just… I realized that whenever I feel sad or stressed, I need you. I can’t depend on anybody else to make me feel better, I have to do that by myself.
-Well, what’s wrong with that? I’ll always be here for you, even when you get marry, have three kids and a dog.
We started digging in the popcorn we bought, we were never able to wait until the movie starts.
-That’s how you picture me? wasn’t that your dream?- she asked.
I almost choked because of those words that came out directly from the unconscious part of my mind.
-Wasn’t that yours?-I asked, trying to fix it.
-Mine was to have a sexy and affectionate husband, a couple of weiner dogs and two kids.
I couldn’t help but picture myself in that scenario for a bit. I don’t know with how many dogs I can deal with but if our kids and her are happy, I’m happy I thought. Kids???????? you better calm down, Younghyun. I just sat there thinking about how long her love was going to be forbidden… I knew she was faithful to her boyfriend, so I guess I just had to wait and pray for him to be gone.
I sighed, I always go after what I want but there was so much to lose here. Chapter IV: The Past is the Past (available).

That your days without me
Are as sad as mine
---
The following week, the chaos over the upcoming reunion was increasing without limit. There were speculations that the previous controversy surrounding the ex-lovers was merely a publicity stunt to put the reunion in the radar of the public’s attention. Although, this accusation was not enough to stifle the thrill over the December event.
Social media was blowing up with fans predicting the exact date and venue, broadcasting stations were promoting the event every chance they got, and old BAM songs have even made their return on radio countdowns. Some have thought up their own dream reunion setlists and boosted BAM songs back up into the charts. Needless to say, it was going to be bigger than they all anticipated.
The Underground housed the rehearsals for the whole month leading up to the big day. Plastered on the walls of the small event space were snapshots of their early days as BAM and the members tirelessly stared at these bits and pieces of memory as they waited for everyone else to arrive for the concert planning process.
Jaehwan bustles into the Underground all disheveled, making his way to the side of the room without looking at the members due to his rush.
“Guys, sorry I’m late, I spent too much time in the shower wondering how I’ll act with Jihoon and Riseul in one room--”
“Hyung, relax.” Jihoon piped up from behind the amplifier, shrugging and pointing to Riseul who arrived way before anyone did.
“You look more tense than we are.” Riseul chimed in to lighten up the mood. She then brushed off Jaehwan’s dumbfounded stare and stood up, signalling the commencement of their first ever production meeting.
“So, the management informed me that all we need to worry about is our setlist and promotions. Everything else from styling to lighting and other equipment would be taken care of.” Sungwoon announced in a rather professional atmosphere, setting the tone of the discussion perfectly.
“What do we have so far?” Seongwoo asked.
“A blank setlist and thousands of excited fans.” Woojin threw his arms up sarcastically and flailed his arms around in mock excitement.
“Well, we better start filling that list up now.” Jisung, the trustworthy leader, clapped multiple times to make sure he’s got everyone’s eyes and ears.
“Already on it. I’m on randomizer.com, now if you could just enumerate all our songs from day one.” Baejin whipped out his phone, beginning to type up song titles to feed into the raffle website.
“Jinyoung, you’re really taking after me.” Grabbing a seat from the nearby table, Seongwoo sat beside Baejin, taking no notice of the disapproving glances of the other members.
“Yah, yah. Guys. You’re telling me that we’re putting our fate in the hands of the internet? I think we’ve done too much of that these days,” Woojin slumped into his seat, showing disagreement.
“Our supporters are already creating their own dream setlists so we can look at those to get an idea of what they want to hear most.” Jaehwan sat on the floor and opened his laptop, redirecting to an online music chart and some blog posts written by their listeners.
“I know it’s a reunion concert but I think the audience would really be psyched to hear a new song or two. If that doesn’t make things too hectic.” Riseul proposed, scanning the members faces to see if they approve with the extra work.
Sungwoon, Jaehwan and Jisung were almost immediately won over by this idea but the others took turns and expressed their concerns over the time frame and the composition process itself.
Riseul notices Jihoon nodding along as she further explains her request, visibly weighing the pluses of coming back with new music at the end of the year.
“I think that’s a great idea. After all, it’ll be touching to write a song solely about reuniting. That boosts the emotional impact on the fans.” The convincing tinge in Jihoon’s voice along with that bit about making much more of a mark on the fans made the others nod as well.
“It might be possible. I mean, unlike before we have more hands and minds now.” Riseul’s response seemed to do the last push.
“It’s settled then? We’ll make a bomb setlist before we go home today and start working on the new songs starting tomorrow. Overnight is enough to get our thoughts in order?” Jisung finalized the plan to conclude the informal voting.
“Yep!” They said in unison and gathered closer to get into today’s business. Growing up has indeed made them more systematic and professional in their dealings. They knew in that moment that going beyond  the expectations of the audience was what would make this reunion as explosive as it has been made out to be.
They all sat in a circle, each holding either their own instrument or their phones, all set to create.
Riseul sat between Jaehwan and Guanlin, directly in front of Jihoon to whom she smiled to for supporting her stand on adding to the setlist. He smiled back and turned to his phone with his cheeks frozen to the same stretch.
As a tease to Jaehwan’s grand entrance a few minutes ago, Riseul leaned to her side and whispered, “See, this isn’t so tense isn’t it?”
Jaehwan blocked his ears. “Don’t rub it in.” ---
“Yah. It really feels like I’m back in time.” Woojin stretched his arms after settling in his seat. It was 1am and with proddings from the youngest Baejin, the whole band was now sitting around a long table at a barbecue restaurant, throats still strained from rehearsal yet ready for a long night of drinking. Tonight they were back to being a simple group of friends in their youth; not a famous band nor individuals who were separated for several years.
It took some time to ease the tension between all of them when rehearsals for their reunion concert started. Apparently, not only Jaehwan felt a tinge of awkwardness brought by the two. But a few sets later, they were all reminiscing about their first ever gigs, the contests won and the countless songs composed, all of them apparently adhering to a silent agreement not to mention anything about the recent controversies nor the past relationships.
“The difference is that we can all drink now.” Baejin pumped his fists in the air and looked up, followed by cheers from the rest of the band.
“But you still act like a child, Baejin-ah.” Seongwoo pushed the younger man’s arm down and tapped him on the top of his head.
“Yah, say that to me when I have to drag your drunk ass back home.”
“Okay, okay. Everything’s on me. Order up!” Sungwoon announced as he stood up to wave over the server.
More cheers erupted from the group as everyone picked a dish and a drink of their choice. At the corner of the table Jihoon and Riseul sat facing each other.
Throughout their rehearsals, Jihoon and Riseul felt more and more at ease. The warmth was coming back, or it was there temporarily anyway. They’ve shared some glances and some smiles, although reluctantly, scolding themselves afterwards. But they end up repeating the actions anyway. They glance up as familiar lyrics come up, one-liners they remembered they thought up together. They glance up as difficult notes were hit, their eyes expressing a tap on the shoulder.
“Beer for you?” Jihoon asked, earning a nod from Riseul.
“And soju for you?” he smiled at the mimicked response, tone and all, and nodded back.
“Soju for everyone!” Jaehwan, seated near the ex-lovers, tapped the shot glasses with his chopsticks and got everyone’s attention before they noticed the exchange at the corner of the table. In a while, alcohol will take over their systems and the mindless teasing will inevitably start. Where that will lead, it’s probably best not to know.
The orders arrived as the conversations continued. The two wordlessly predicting and subtly observing what dish will end up on each other’s plates. It surprised both of them how much they remember about each other’s tastes.
He eats everything but he can’t handle too much spice.
She loves garlic. Maybe a little too much.
“Riseul-ah, you love this, right?” Jihoon got a little too over-excited at the sight of the steaming tofu stew placed in front of them. Without thinking twice, he grabbed Riseul’s empty bowl and started ladling some of the stew onto it.. “Here, while it’s still hot.” He said, eagerly looking at her and gesturing for her to try it out.
“Huh--Oh, yeah. Thanks…”
“Jihoon-ah, last time I checked Riseul had hands of her own…” Seongwoo nudged him multiple times with the sole purpose of annoying him.
“You’re already drunk? You’re the weakest, hyung.” The eagerness gone from his eyes in a split second, he pushed Seongwoo aside jokingly and went back to eating. He sees a meat jeon that was not on his plate before.
“It’s your favorite.” Riseul mutters without looking at him directly and took a swig from her mug.
Maybe it’s the atmosphere or maybe it was the alcohol slowly getting into their systems that’s making them take such bold steps like this. Or maybe it was their inner consciousness, in all its genuineness, trying to make its way out. It felt good somehow, pretending nothing was ever wrong between them. It felt good to have that fluttering feeling again; the feeling that someone was looking at you admiringly from your peripheral view. It felt secure. It felt familiar.
“I see your tolerance is still as high as ever.”
“Uh-huh. Sad to say, yours is still at an all-time low.” Riseul proudly jutted out her chin and stuck out her tongue at Jihoon.
It was already a couple of hours past midnight and most of them were already out of it. Jaehwan and Sungwoon can be heard singing their hearts out at the coin-powered karaoke machines, while the younger members were in the middle of a pointless contest of who could consume the most soju with chopsticks.
“It became a habit I guess?” Jihoon shrugged.
“Being a weak-ass became a habit?”
“No, not that!” Jihoon just shook his head at how silly she was acting. Nonetheless, he finished getting his point across. “Drinking little became a habit. Because I always had to take care of you back then.”
“For the record, I never black out when I drink. All I become is a bit tipsy and nothing more. Totally self-aware. So you really didn’t need to worry that much.”
“Ey. I was just doing my job as--”
“Hyung, noona, we’re playing never have I ever, want to join?” a flush-faced Baejin called out, cutting Jihoon off mid-sentence, and pulled his chair nearer the pair. “You know how it works right?”
“Just put a finger down when you’ve done what the other person tells you. We’ll go clockwise.”
“Person with the most fingers down by the end of the game should give us a consequence.”
Guanlin and Seongwoo took turns explaining and eventually everyone around the table except for Jaehwan and Sungwoon, who were still at it straining their throats, had their fingers up, either forced or willing to participate in the supposedly lighthearted drinking game.
“First! Seongwoo-hyung, never have I ever had to flirt with a lady to get my drums repaired for free.”
“That’s strangely specific! Yah!”
“Riseul-ah, never have I ever been friends with someone who has pink hair.”
“Seriously?! Remember when you had pink hair?”
“Guanlin-ah, never have I ever been to America.”
“That’s really lame, hyung.” Guanlin put a finger down followed by a roll of his eyes.
And as more fingers went down, the players started decreasing as well. The restaurant was filled with their laughter and banter mostly from Seongwoo who was the first to be eliminated.
“You better not give me a consequence that involves public humiliation.”
“But isn’t that the point of it all?” Riseul shrugged and put on her pretend thinking face to tease the losing player.
“Ah! I won! In your face, Baejin-hyung!”
“Yah, I’m still older than you!”
Guanlin and Baejin, who were the last players, noisily settled their childish conflict and ended up teaming together to give Seongwoo “the worst possible consequence in the history of consequences.”
Their night ended as each of them tapped out, deciding too late that it was probably best not to stay out until the sun begins to rise again. Their game was long over and Seongwoo has done his dare (with much delight from his tipsy younger members).
But a particular boy was not yet done asking for answers.
Before all of them could file out of the restaurant, Jihoon gently held both of Riseul’s wrists, pulling them to make her palms face him. With Riseul’s fingers now outstretched in front of him, he mirrored her, their palms almost touching.
The question Jihoon was about to ask has been stuck on the back of his mind ever since he first saw her again. It was wishful thinking, selfish even; he’s been hoping that she never had eyes for anyone after their separation. He thought knowing this would once and for all ease a fraction of his insecurities. Or worsen them if it goes the other way.
It certainly has crossed his mind that Riseul deserves someone better than him after all. Someone who did not hold her back. But he didn’t have the guts to concede and admit this to himself. Deep inside he believed that their story was meant to continue.
“Never have I ever….dated anyone after you.”
All of Jihoon’s fingers stayed upright. He looked straight into Riseul’s eyes, with a soft and expectant expression. There was a long pause in which none of them spoke and even their breaths seemed like they were on hold. But just as Jihoon’s hopes were skyrocketing...She’s not putting any fingers down...Riseul finally let go of the heavy breath and slowly folded her thumb in.
“I have.”
“I see…” Jihoon looked down and coughed as if doing this would brush away the warmth slowly creeping up his face.
Riseul nudged Jihoon’s hands with her own and eyed his still outstretched fingers, nodding to signal him to continue. She, too, was waiting for a response: a simple movement from his fingers or the lack of it.
“I haven’t.”
“Ah. Is that so…” With her hands now back to her sides, she decided to try and probe further. Despite her already knowing what he was about to utter. “Why not?”
“Because I couldn’t...I still can’t.”
Riseul started to say something but closed her mouth just as soon as she opened it, stopping to think twice about letting this conversation flow on. But Jihoon took care of that for her, leaving his words hanging vaguely in the air around both of them and saying his goodbyes without any further explanations.
“Go home safely. See you in rehearsals.”
“See you. Be safe.”
They asked questions and it left them with more.

[TRANS] [Drinking Talk] MAMAMOO "First impression was a misunderstanding of 'I don't think I can get close with her'"
There are two modifiers to that come to mind when it comes to MAMAMOO. 'Trust and listen to MAMAMOO' and 'beagle-dol'. They're nicknames that stuck because they're good at singing and play well on stage. However, the MAMAMOO we met in person was very shy. Their awkwardness showed right in the photos taken, and they just looked at the food that was in front of them. They were about to "drink" the beer with their eyes. About 10 minutes passed. Like the 'beagle-dols' they are, they started chatting. It was like a 'dissing match', and they used satoori (dialect) and laughed and talked. MAMAMOO is walking a different path from standard girl groups. They take part in 80~90% of their album, they put their own suggestions forth and do music and wear outfits that suit them. They were trained like that, and take advantage of their strong points. It's one way they became 'vocal-dols'. "MAMAMOO is a group that takes a lot of part in their album. When they gave suggestions in their rookie days, people misunderstood them as an arrogant group. We were taken aback at first, but now they are understanding and are like, 'This is the kind of group they are. This is their color.'" We reveal the shy MAMAMOO's 'dark days' as trainees, to their growth into #1 singers with 'Yes I Am'.
Tumblr media
This is an official question. How much can you drink?
SOLAR: Beer, soju, all one glass/shot. I get drunk really easily. My face turns pink when I drink. And I fall asleep. If I drink any more, I throw up.
HWASA: My tolerance has gone down. I get dizzy if I drink one big can of beer.
WHEEIN: I get in a good mood from just one sip. I tend to drink beer fast, so I get tipsy quickly. Still, I get myself together and get home well.
MOONBYUL: There was a time I drank about two bottles of grapefruit flavored soju, and Solar unnie said I was gross. I told her to take/drop me off at home, but I was saying it weird. (SOLAR: "[She] was really gross.")
Do you all drink together often?
W: All four of us can't drink together (t/n: I think she means like, 'often'), but we drink in twos often.
S: When all four of us get together, we eat meat, not drink.
Do you live in dorms?
S: No. We live separately in the same neighborhood.
H: If you walk across the crosswalk, you're right there [at another member's house].
W: Everyone lives alone, but I live with a dongsaeng (what you call someone younger than yourself).
You're known for being shy.
S: It was awkward when we took the picture earlier, so my facial expression froze. It's okay now, but we're really shy.
H: We really play well on stage, but if there's someone we don't know in the waiting room, we're quiet. We're really shy. Shyness is always progressing.
Don't you want to explain any misunderstandings?
H: I think that's our appearance. People can enjoy themselves, but have times when they want to rest. I hope people view our shyness humanely. The way we are on broadcast and normally are different. I think you make things difficult for yourself if you hide your actual self.
What's the biggest misunderstanding you've experienced?
M: We heard that we make a lot of requests for rookies. We participate in 80~90% of our albums. When we were rookies and asked, "Could we do this part like this?", the majority of people were like, "These rookies are saying things like that", and misunderstood us as being arrogant. We were making suggestions but were seen negatively. So we were taken aback a lot at first. Now, when we go on set, people understand and say, "They're normally this kind of group. This is your color." I hope people don't misunderstand when we're quiet/well-behaved, either.
I feel like it would've been difficult trying to give suggestions on set as rookies.
H: CEO Kim Do Hoon said that "we're equal partners". That if you don't say anything, neither party would know what they're thinking. So we've constantly said what we wanted to since then.
M: We were trained that we can't stay still because it's our music. Even for monthly evaluations, they let us come up with our own choreography. I think they kept giving us a chance to find the clothes that fit us.
You must have been shy during your first meeting as well.
ALL: We were really shy.
S: There was the awkwardness. And it make me think a lot, "How can I maintain this relationship. How can I get along with these people."
How were your first impressions of each other?
M: I met Wheein at a different company first. Wheein was the maknae (youngest) at that time, and we weren't that close. It was to the point where I thought, "Does she not like me?" If I asked her, "Do you want to go eat something?", she would say, "I have to go see a dongsaeng," and would go home. Then, when I met her again, she approached me like a friend that's known each other for years. I think that's how we were able to be comfortable around each other. (WHEEIN: "I didn't even try to get close.") For Hwasa, I heard quite a bit that there was someone with a strong personality. As soon as I came in[to the company], I was like, "You're that girl Hyejin." Solar unnie came into the company a month before me. We don't have a big age gap, so we got closest first. But I thought she was younger than me so I talked to her informally. When I learned of her age later, I thought she looked young.
S: Moonbyul suddenly started speaking informally to me and referring to me as 'that friend/person'. I didn't like that, so I didn't like her. I drew a line thinking, 'I can't become close with her', but after talking with her every day, we naturally got closer. Then our misunderstandings were cleared and we became close friends.
M: I also had a misunderstanding with Solar unnie. When we were taking a group photo, it was our first time meeting, but she hugged me from behind. I thought she was a 'weird person'. We didn't like each other. We later laughed and cleared it up. (laughs)
Tumblr media
How did you become close?
W: Because we kept going through things together and practicing, I think we naturally became close.
M: At first, we lived alone but then moved to a dorm. We started depending on each other from then on.
You had a good record recently with 'Yes I Am'.
S: Because lots of people listened to the song a lot and gave it a lot of attention, we ended it happily. This album had the best records out of all the ones we've released so far, so it's meaningful and a favorite. It's an album that made me think that we will have to work harder and let people listen to even better music.
Are you satisfied?
S: There is some pressure that we need to show an upgraded album from this one, but I feel really good.
Is there anything that's a pity/regret?
H: It's always a shame when album promotions end. We say, "We should've done this like this," often.
You received a Golden Disk early this year.
H: We worked hard and received an award, so it felt good. M: Because we worked hard this year as well, we want to receive one again.
Hwasa and Wheein went to middle school together, and are now sharing the same career.
H: We said, 'Let's do this together even when we pass 20 years of age', but didn't think it would actually happen. We're always together, so being next to each other feels matter of fact now.
Did you come up to Seoul together?
H: We went to auditions together. I was eating at Wheein's house when I got the call that I passed my audition in Seoul. I remember screaming and running around the entire house. From then on, I got the feeling that we, of course, will have to go on together.
I guess you can't help but be best friends.
W: Yes. Things work out well when we're together. If we auditioned separately, oddly, things wouldn't work out. I auditioned multiple times, but would always fail. Because it was always the same, there was no nervousness. So I would lie between my house and auditions and would slip away in the middle. I'd go to the Han River and eat and play. We would gush in our 'high school feelings', saying, "We're all grown up now. Will we be able to become singers?". (laughs)
How many years did you train for?
M: The four of us trained for 3 years together. I went around different places for 1~2 years before coming here. I would repeatedly get to the end, and then fail. If I couldn't grab a chance, I would cry and stuff. I think it must have been so I could become a MAMAMOO member.
H: Everyone was a trainee for about 1~2 years.
W: Hwasa and I were goofing off for a while, and were called to audition one last time. But neither of us were that interested. We were deliberating where we should go play next. Our current CEO was talking about creating a girl group, but he spoke so well that he seemed like a conman. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and auditioned, and that was at our current company. That audition was a game changer. It's really fortunate we didn't slip away from it. If we did, we'd still be at the Han River talking about, "We're all grown up now." (laughs)
Tumblr media
How did you feel when you debuted?
SOLAR: Because my dream became a reality, it didn't feel real. There wasn't anything I could physically touch either, so it was even scarier. I didn't have any when I was a trainee, but I suddenly got a lot of worries. It wasn't that long, but I was really 'pathetic' during my dark days as a trainee. I got an allowance from my parents. I didn't have a lot of money, but had a lot of things I wanted to do, so I would mooch off people. In order to achieve my dream, I got through it by thinking to work hard.
MOONBYUL: Rather than throwing a debut party, we were busy trying to adjust to our new surroundings. We didn't know anything and everything was new so I think it was more difficult. We would have to look at the camera, and we had to do all the songs we prepared. I honestly don't even remember what emotions I felt when we debuted.
When did it sink in that you really debuted?
M: The voices of our fans started getting louder. When our fans cheered, I felt, 'We debuted and are receiving attention'.
How much allowance did you receive?
S: Little bits. It was when I was about 23 years old, my friends were starting to find jobs. That was really difficult for me. If I was younger, I would've been able to ask for help a little easily, but I got self-conscious. I think my parents also felt bad and probably were thinking I 'should quit'.
HWASA: I'd be like, 'Do you have 10,000 won (~$10)?' and get that from my parents. (laughs)
If you weren't in MAMAMOO, what would you be doing?
M: If I didn't debut then, I think I'd be doing something else with friends my age. Because age is important for idols. Idols are role models for people in their early 20s. Becoming a musician is impossible, too.
S: I majored in tourism, so there was something I wanted to do. I was preparing to become a stewardess, but that didn't suit me. My mother also told me it's my last chance, and to study if it doesn't work out. All of my family studied a lot (/heavy on education). My mom is a licensed real estate agent, so there was pressure for me to get certified in that as well. If I didn't become a MAMAMOO member, I could've become 'real estate's Yong son (hand)'. (laughs)
Did you like the group name MAMAMOO?
M: Not at first. It felt like we were acting cute because there were a lot of 'ㅁ' in it. Thinking about it now, I think it's a really good name. It fits really well with our individual personality.
Was it your dream to become a singer since you were younger?
M: My dream was to become a teacher when I was in elementary school. In middle-high school, my dream was to become a police officer. Though, I didn't put any big effort into it. (laughs) I stood on stage due to some chance, and I felt something electrifying hearing the sounds of cheers. At that moment, I felt this was it.
WHEEIN: My dream was to become a painter/artist. My mother majored in drawing, so I liked drawing. I thought a lot about a path between art and music. I thought about it seriously, and thought that drawing could be fun if I do it later as a hobby. So I decided to become a singer and worked hard at it.
As her 'colleague', what does Hwasa think of Wheein's drawing skills?
H: Wheein has a big desire for drawing. I think her dream for drawing is currently in progress.
W: I have a dream of concentrating on it when activity with MAMAMOO slowly decreases. I also want to have an exhibition. Rather than people acknowledging and giving it attention, I want to draw what I want to. It's just doodling right now, but I'm going to learn and draw. I want to draw what I want to do.
The members think Wheein is good at drawing?
H: She's really good at catching characteristics. She has sense/wits. She drew things on the chalkboard since we were in middle school. Her drawing was funny, so all the kids liked it. She draws in a way that it hits home.
M: She doodled all four of us before, and you really are reminded of that person. She catches peoples individual looks well. So I always take a picture of it.
W: That doesn't mean I'm going to major in caricatures. (laughs)
I think you could offer your talents to MAMAMOO's album, too.
W: It's not to that point yet. (laughs)
M: There was a time Wheein participated in creating our goods. The company said Wheein's drawing should be used, so she did a little. Later, I think it would be good if she drew our album art, too.
H: In middle school, Wheein said she'll draw a poster if we debuted. The two of us posed and drew it on a quarto paper. The group name was '2 young girl'. I think I'm going to have to go home and look for it. (laughs)
Tumblr media
You received a lot of love on KBS 'Immortal Songs 2 (IS2)'.
M: It's a program we're grateful for that created a vocal image for us. It's the beginning of 'trust and listen to MAMAMOO'. At the time, it was hard trying to record and come up with the choreography ourselves for our album and 'IS2'. Once we did our performance and got off stage, we felt thrilled and proud.
The ages of your fans are diverse, too.
S: Because of 'IS2', lots of middle-aged people recognize us. My mother told me once, a friend of hers said to her, 'I saw a group called MAMAMOO on 'IS2', their music is good'. My mother told her, 'Solar is my daughter', and she fainted. (MOONBYUL: Did she really faint?) Sorry. I lied. She got really surprised. (laughs) Since then, she contacts her a lot. I think the reason we have a diverse fanbase is because of 'IS2'.
W: I was crossing the road trying to catch a taxi, and a grandmother with white hair said, 'It's MAMAMOO'. I was passing in really plain clothes, but she recognized me and really surprised me.
When it comes to MAMAMOO, you can't forget ad libs.
M: We did one with 'moo' during 'Um Oh Ah Yeh'. Because we did ad libs so much, we ran out of things to say. We decided to do '알타리도~ 무말랭이도~', and it was really embarrassing during the rehearsals.
H: We were half asleep during the meeting. After discussing it and getting my head together, we were already on stage. I couldn't believe that situation. So I couldn't do it properly, but that made it even more shameful. (laughs)
You did a 'Jung Woo Sung, do you want to date me' ad lib for 'Decalcomanie'.
S: It was during the Blue Dragon Awards. It has the highest view count out of all our videos. It passed 1 million views in one day.
M: We heard the response from actors at film festivals are silent, so we were really worried, but it was an honor seeing pretty strong reactions. Jung Woo Sung sunbaenim (senior) was also captured on camera at the 'Jung Woo Sung, do you want to date me' moment. Jung Woo Sung sunbaenim looked like he enjoyed it too, but Ha Jung Woo sunbaenim in front of him seemed to as well, so I'm grateful. Our company gave us the idea first, and told me to yell it loudly. But it was really burdensome. I worried up until I had to do it. Saying 'Jung Woo Sung' in itself made me nervous. It's a performance I did the worst out of all the ones I did up until then.
After that 'Decalcomanie' climbed up charts.
S: Because 'Decalcomanie' didn't do as great as we expected, the company wasn't all smiles. It climbed back up thanks to our ad libs.
W: At the time, there was a big issue in the country. It mixed with a bad time. We got to number 1 on music charts with the ad libs.
MAMAMOO's song titles are all interesting. You even created a trending phrase.
H: That's all CEO Kim Do Hoon's ideas. His ideas are tremendous.
M: Even we get surprised. When he gives us an idea, we attempt many things within that, and make it our own. We created 'AZE GAG' like that, too.
I think you need to bring together all four MAMAMOO members for there to be lots of energy.
M: If there's only one person, they can't talk that well because they're embarrassed. We're 'jjolbo/cowardly'. We can't talk like this. There's no synergy. We feel at ease when all four are together. Because we know each other well, if someone says something, we catch it and carry on [the conversation].
If you were to promote alone, what would you want to show?
W: We don't have a lot of individual activities, so we're not used to it yet. For me, I get really nervous a lot. I want to try something that I'd be comfortable doing alone. For instance, like a radio DJ.
The four of you seem close.
M: We've seen each other for a gross amount. It's already been 7 years. We met when we were in high school, and we're already adults. I get surprised whenever it's mentioned that Wheein is 23. It makes me think ,'We've spent a goosebump-inducing amount of time together.
W: In the past, I felt affectionate with hometown friends. But I feel that way when I look at my members. They say people you went through hard times with last for a long time. There are times where I dislike being with them every day, but that dislike isn't really a disliking.
Do you not fight?
M: We do, but it doesn't go on for a long time. You know how if sisters fight, they'll express their frustration once and then forget it quickly. We all spent our 20s and youth with MAMAMOO. I feel like I'm sharing a part of me. Later, I'm going to remain as MAMAMOO's Moonbyul. I guess like 'my mold'. We feel like comrades. They're people who are on my side wherever I go.
I heard Solar and Moonbyul are 'acquired/postnatal twins'.
M: My actions are similar to Solar unnie's. If someone asks a question, we say the same answer at the same time. On MAMAMOO TV, we let fans hear just our voices and had them guess who it was, but even we got confused. It's gross at times. It feels like I'm looking at myself. (laughs)
S: Our taste in food and the way we talk are similar. There were times when I got surprised like, 'You like these things, too?'. I think we're becoming similar because we see each other every day, too.
You must absorb each other well.
M: I've become similar to Solar unnie, but there are a lot of things I've become similar with the dongsaengs (younger ones), too. I learned the way they say '하게 (to do?)', which they use often.
S: Someone even asked if I'm from abroad. They said the way I speak doesn't sound like Seoul dialect, but like it's mixed with something else. I think it's because I copied the younger ones' speaking satoori/dialect because it's fun.
Tumblr media
Do you use a lot of satoori (dialect)?
HWASA: I did a lot at first. It was to the point where the unnies said it was scary and asked if I was mad when I talked with Wheein.
SOLAR: Hwasa and Wheein used satoori a lot. What's funny is they would say they're speaking in Seoul dialect, but it was still satoori. Because they were so adamant they were speaking in a Seoul dialect, we had to give in and say they were right. (laughs)
WHEEIN: You know how celebrities act like they're speaking in Seoul dialect to be funny? We weren't acting, that was real life for us. Because the accent is a lot softer than in Gwangju, we were saying they 'won't be able to' (still in satoori) tell the difference. Nowadays, the unnies say 'mot hae. mot ha gae sseo' as 'mo dae. mo da gae sseo' (I can't). They say 'hang gae' (the '하게' Moonbyul mentioned at the end of the 2nd part of this) more than us.
S: They don't use [satoori], but Moonbyul and I do.
H: I think we're turning into Seoul people.
W: I'm full from drinking a lot of Seoul water. (laughs)
Wheein became a hot topic after singing the 'baby shark' theme song.
W: It's a hot song that young kids actually like. I was watching '맛있는 녀석들/Tasty Guys' (eating show) and they sang it, so I looked it up. The melody and lyrics are easy, so I tried it once and I memorized it immediately. I sang it for fun while shooting our music video, and it became a hot topic. After singing the 'baby shark' song, I get shark plushes, booklets, and all sorts of gifts related to sharks. It feels like my house is an aquarium. It's blue. I'm a 'Seoul shark'. Thank you.
You kept getting the random play dance on 'Weekly Idol' wrong.
M: I really want to explain that. We were completely correct. We couldn't be any more perfect. The first time, I swear, was done exactly the same. There's a specific order we always stand in on stage, and it's the way we position ourselves most. They said we keep standing in the same order, but that was really our choreography. When we did it the second time, our minds were elsewhere so we did get it wrong. (laughs)
It was said you wanted to get close with GFriend's Eunha on 'Weekly Idol'.
H: She's busy too, so I couldn't just text her, 'What are you doing?'. Later, if we get the chance, I think we'll become comfortable with each other naturally.
Do you have any celebrities you're close with?
M: There's a 92-line. EXID's Hani, BTS's Jin, B1A4's Sandeul and Baro, and VIXX's Ken are the members. It's not often, but we do have a meal and a drink together. They can all agree on things, and, even if it's not clear, they're friends who can give me advice, so I'm comfortable with them. But everyone's busy so we can't get together often. There isn't a leader, but Sandeul suggests that we meet often.
Lee Hyori recently chose you as juniors who caught her eye.
S: We were grateful. We met her once when we were promoting. When her stage was over, we waited and waited, then we ran to meet her. Because she's a celebrity's, celebrity's, celebrity's celebrity. It was unbelievable seeing someone I liked since I was younger. Because she viewed us positively, it made me think we need to work harder, and that we can't be unsatisfactory. I'm sorry because we weren't so cordial because we're so shy. But she comfortably said to us, 'You do well. Is this life fun for you?' first, so we were thankful.
W: We were on the elevator and the moment the doors opened, Lee Hyori sunbaenim (senior) was standing right in front of us. I noticed her late and unconsciously made a big 'O' with my mouth. I was really embarrassed.
H: Even the wrinkles around her eyes were humane. I was really happy.
Have you seen 'Hyori's Bed and Breakfast'?
S: I said, 'It would be nice if the four of us went'. But I heard other singers wanted to go, too. I thought, as expected, she's really popular."
H: Because a lot of people applied, we'll just wait from afar. (laughs)
You have a lot of female fans. Why do you think that is?
S: I think they feel pleasure and bliss from our lyrics about confident women. Also, rather than being cute on stage, we express coolness and confidence, and they seem to identify with that a lot, too.
Other singers propose collaborations with you a lot.
S: I think it's because of our vocal image. People seem to think 'they sing well' when they think MAMAMOO.
M: I think people seek them out a lot because the three of their vocal colors are different, and they add a lot of synergy to songs.
Wheein sang Jungkey's song and got number 1.
W: At the time, when I heard it was a ballad, I thought a lot about whether or not I should do it. I'm not confident in ballads. I did it with a good heart, and it really succeeded. Because there wasn't any guarantee that I could have good results alone, it's something that remains as a memory.
Is there a genre you want to do if you were to go solo?
M: I want to try R&B/pop.
W: I want to do all genres with MAMAMOO and solo. Something that I like and could do well is R&B. I want to show my own color.
H: Jazz and blues or reggae. I don't want to limit genres, but I think my specialty is jazz. I think I yearn for things with mood.
S: Rather than a genre, I want to do something that suits me. Rather than genre, I want to sing a song with good lyrics. I want to do a song that makes you recall a stage, like a musical.
(Moonbyul asking Solar) It's rock or pansori (like, traditional Korean musical storytelling), but the lyrics are really good. Will you still do it?
S: I think I'll have to think about it. Rather than a story, I like fresh and cute lyrics. I like things with a charming and fresh detail. (laughs)
You ask a lot of 'what if' questions.
M: We play the 'what if' game often. Them being a bit irrational is a problem. (laughs)
Hwasa gets focused on with your looks overseas.
H: Because I like showing myself, I think I'm standing out. I also have more of a physique than others. Someone said I'm a capital S-line. I have a lot of volume, so I think I'm hearing these things. At first, I dieted to fit the focus of being slim. So I got anorexic tendencies in the middle. What's the point of losing weight. I gained it right back. I thought, 'What's up with life,' and just high fived with the Grim Reaper. My role models Rihanna and Beyonce have physiques. I mind controlled myself to love my own fat. (laughs)
You have a lot of nicknames.
S: I heard that I'm from Disney, Moonbyul from romance comics, Wheein from Ghibli, and Hwasa from Marvel. I feel good that they're giving us attention and it's fun.
H: I feel like we do look like it. I carefully go, 'wow'.
Is there a fan you remember?
M: There's a fan who is in a wheelchair. They even came to our Japan fansign. I remember them the most for coming to see us.
H: All four of us are soft-hearted, so we cry when we see those fans.
Tumblr media
What's MAMAMOO's final dream?
S: In our early days, it was to have a solo concert, but that's come true already. Now, the thought of becoming bigger people has become stronger. We hope that MAMAMOO becomes an icon and a brand.
There's already talk about a 'MAMAMOO genre'.
S: Still, it doesn't feel like we've fully achieved it. I think we're still running towards that dream. I think we'll have to work harder and build up experiences with diverse music.
You have your Busan concert soon. What's something you're confident in?
H: We're going to create a place to play. The concert is like bibimbap.
W: Each of the stages are diverse and there are a lot of ideas. We prepared various things. You really won't regret coming to watch it.
Is there something to prepare for the concert?
W: Sneakers and strength is essential.
H: And you have to lose your mind.
S: Think of the person next to you, and pack deodorant. Because you have to go crazy.
M: Lastly, 'moobong'. Fans said there's a difference when you do and don't have a 'moobong'.
Lastly, is there anything you want to say?
W: It was awkward at first, but I think we chatted to our hearts content. We've fallen for the charms of 'drinking talk' now. (laughs)

2) “It reminded me of you.” - 100 Ways to Say I Love You
Characters: IKON’s Junhwe & OC
Word Count: 2437 words
Summary: It’s been at least ten years since you’d last seen each other and you come across each other as you’re heading home from a long day at work.  The person you bump into is your ex who you hadn’t talked to since you left for America ten years ago.  Once you guys start talking, you end up heading to your old hang outs and reminisce about your high school days…
It was an overcast day, the night stars were completely covered by the daunting rain clouds, and you were heading down your usual route back home from the subway station.  You passed by all of the newer buildings and bright and lively stores until you reached your more calm and quiet neighborhood.  Even though it was your everyday route, every so often you’d walk slower and reminisce your school days before you’d left to New York to study abroad for college.  Since you’d just finished up a large project at work, today was one of those days.  Your neighborhood was old fashioned, many of the buildings were over fifty years old, and people their neighbors.  And because of that, there was always something for the old ahjummas and teens to gossip about.
You had gotten off early, but it was still already around 7pm, and you decided to head to your favorite restaurant to grab a quick meal since your apartment was a mess and your fridge was empty besides a few old soju bottles and energy drinks.  You didn’t spend much time at home during projects, except to sleep, but it somehow still managed to be a pig sty every time.  As you walked through the lamp-lit streets, your eyes followed the old fashioned, brightly shining restaurant and shop signs.  Groups of young girls and boys in uniforms passed by you, arms linked with snacks in their hands, and it reminded you of your school days.  Stopping for a second as a group of girls passed by you, you looked down at your clothes.  You compared the monotone blouse, blazer, slacks and wedges you were wearing, to their bright and colorful uniforms and backpacks.  *Sighhh, I miss being a kid…*  You shook your head a little and continued on to the restaurant.
You were still looking at the students on the street as you turned a sharp corner, but instead of continuing, you bumped into someone and were pushed backwards.  “OOF,” You heard the person grunt as you made impact and you yelped a little yourself.  Something dropped on the floor and you quickly regained balance and squatted down to pick up what had fallen.  You picked it up and straightened yourself, looking at him.  It was a man, his face mostly covered by the shadow of his hood and he honestly scared you a little.  His stature was decently tall, and from the impact you could tell he was well built.  You moved back a little as he regained his balance and when he looked up, his hood fell back slightly and the street lamp light revealed his face.  He wore an irritated expression, but it faded in an instant when he saw you.  He looked familiar, but you couldn’t quite pin point why.  And then he spoke.  “____?” His voice rang in your ears and your eyes widened.  “Junhwe?” You asked.  He nodded and your mouth opened in surprise as you looked at him.  His voice was unique and you had heard it so often that you’d never forget it.
“Oh my god, what are you doing here?” Not really knowing what to do.  “We’re on tour right now, our show was at the stadium, and I thought I’d take a little look around the neighborhood and see how much it’d changed.” He said, running his hands through his hair, trying his best to avoiding eye contact as you unknowingly stared into his soul.  “Oh wow that's so crazy, what are the chances we'd see each other…” You said, still not taking your eyes off of him.  It felt like a weird dream, seeing him in front of you.  It’d been at least ten years since you’d last seen him and you’d both grown up so much.  “Yeah, it’s been so long, like almost ten years or something right?” He said, thinking.  “Yeah I think so.” You agreed.  “Oh, sorry for bumping into you, I wasn’t watching where I was going, here’s your phone.” You quickly handed him his phone and he mumbled a quick thank you.
“Uh, are you busy?” You asked.  He raised an eyebrow, not yet giving an answer.  “I got off work early today and was going to head to Jun ahjussi’s restaurant to grab something to eat.” You explained.  He checked his phone and as it was still pretty early, he agreed.  The two of you headed back the way he’d come from, engaging in slightly awkward small talk.  “So what are you doing these days?” He asked.  “I work at a prosecution firm in the city.  We just finished a big case earlier today so I got off early.” You explained.  He nodded.  “How about you?  I don’t really have time to keep up with idol media these days.” You asked, a slightly playful tone in your voice.  He smiled.  “We’re on our seven year anniversary this year, can you believe that?” He said, looking at you to emphasize the large length of time.  You laughed.  “Time passed by so quickly don’t you think?” You said.  “Honestly though.” He agreed.  A slightly more comfortable silence enveloped the two of you as you continued down the street.
You reached the restaurant and slid the door open.  “Welcome!” The familiar hostess at the cash register welcomed you guys and she smiled when she saw you.  “Get off work early?” She asked, grabbing two menus for you and Junhwe.  “Yeah we finished the case today.” You said with a tired smile.  She laughed and walked you to your usual table and Junhwe sat first.  The hostess was slightly older than you, and she was the owner’s daughter.  You’d had many conversations with her since you came so often, and she became a good friend of yours over the years.  She leaned over as you were taking your blazer off.  “I want all the details later.” She said, patting my back as she left to go to the kitchen.  You laughed and rolled your eyes as she walked away.  “Still come here often?” Junhwe asked, looking around at the extremely familiar scenery of the old fashioned restaurant.
“Yeah, I probably come here at least twice a week.” You said as you sat down across from him.  “You still sit at the same table.” He pointed out.  “You remembered.” You said, smiling.  “The place looks exactly the same.” He said.  “I’m glad they’re still here, I don’t know what I’d do without them.  The city is starting to expand into the neighborhood and I’m getting worried.” You confessed.  He frowned and sighed.  “Well it seems like a lot of people still come here though.” He said looking around at all the full tables.  It was a bit noisy, but you were used to it and it made the atmosphere brighter.  “We used to come here all the time.” He said, looking at you.  You nodded, looking back at him.  Slightly flustered by the eye contact, you looked down at the menu, even though you already knew what you were going to get.  He smiled a little and looked down at his menu as well.
You were a bit nervous, and it was because of him.  Ten years ago, the two of you had been dating in high school.  You were the secret “it” couple that only a few knew about.  You had been a good student, studies were something you’d excelled at and you were always at the top of your class.  Junhwe on the other hand slacked off a bit more and wanted to be a singer.  Because of your different work ethics, you never really had a chance to talk or even really see each other.  You were in the classroom or the library, while he was out on the field playing soccer or basketball.  Seeing him in class, you hadn’t thought much of him, he wasn’t any competition and he seemed unmotivated in school.  Until one day you’d been assigned to tutor him by your homeroom teacher since he was falling behind in math and ever since then the two of you instantly clicked.  You’d spend hours after school tutoring him, but also talking about yourselves to each other.  He’d told you about how he wanted to be a singer and he sang for you one day, and that’s when you fell for him.
Your tutoring session turned into study dates and after studying, you’d go out and play at noraebangs, arcades, etc. and grab a bite to eat at Jun ahjussi’s when you got hungry.  However, you’d also told him how you wanted to study law in America, and your parents applied for you to study abroad halfway through high school.  Your relationship got cut short as you flew half way across the world to New York and he was accepted as a trainee at YG Entertainment.  The two of you hadn’t ended on horrible terms, but after you left, you didn’t keep in touch.  Occasionally you’d think about him and check out articles online, but you’d always felt he was “the one that got away” and you wondered what would’ve happened if he’d stayed.
The hostess came back and took your orders and you sipped water quietly as he checked his phone.  People hadn’t recognized him yet, partially because they were too focused on the food, but also because he was pretty hidden, back to the rest of the restaurant while I could see everything from my seat in the corner of the room.  “Oh, we travelled to New York the other week.” He suddenly re-kindled the conversation.  “Really?? How was it?” You asked excitedly.  “We’d been there a couple times before, but we never got a chance to really look around.  But this time we got a chance to walk around and hang out.  We went all sorts of places…” He continued talking about New York and you nodded, picturing him in all the places he mentioned.  “I actually stopped by your college too.” He said.  “Oh my god really?! Why?!” You laughed at his confession.  “We had some extra time before we left on the last day and we passed by it on our way to eat lunch.  We passed by that large building at the front of the school, the all glass one where you can see everything inside.  It reminded me of you.” He said.
You froze a little and you fought the smile creeping up on your face.  You laughed a little as you felt your face flush.  He laughed too and you could tell his ears were getting  a little red.  “It was so pretty, I could totally picture you studying in one of those rooms you know?  Not paying attention to the streets and people taking pictures, just your head stuck in a book.” He teased.  “Honestly that’s pretty spot on, I was there almost every day for hours on end.” You said, laughing.  You continued to talk and soon, Jun ahjussi walked out from the kitchen personally and served your food.  “Jinnie said you came here with a boy, and I just had to see this.  I had a feeling it would be you little rascal.” Jun ahjussi said, ruffling Junhwe’s hair in a fatherly playful way and you laughed.  “Does she come here with boys a lot?” Junhwe asked, 100% intrigued, looking at you.  Jun ahjussi laughed heartily.  “Nope, she’s always alone.  I was afraid she didn’t have any friends.  That’s why I had to see who she’d brought.” He said.
“You’re still such a loner ____!” Junhwe laughed.  “Oh shut up…” You glared at him and crossed your arms in front of your chest.  Jun ahjussi laughed and pat your shoulder.  “Enjoy the food!” He said, heading back to the kitchen.  Junhwe was all smiles and you laughed.  You guys continued to catch up as you ate and when you were done, you took a quick picture together in front of the restaurant.  You took one for him by himself to upload on social media, and then you guys headed back onto the streets.  “Do you still live in the same apartment?” He asked, recognizing the familiar route you were leading him down.  “Yup, my parents moved out though so it’s just me.  Sometimes my sister stays with me when she’s in Korea.” You said.  He nodded.  You were almost back at your apartment and it started to rain.  “Do you have an umbrella?” He asked.  “No…” You covered your bag under your blazer as much as you could and he shed his jacket.  “Come on!” He said, draping it over the two of you as a cover.  You laughed as you jogged through the rain to the covered front steps of your apartment building.
You helped him wipe the water off from his large coat and you looked at him as he shook his hair like a dog.  He was a lot better looking and he seemed a little bit more mature than he was in high school… only a little bit.  You laughed to yourself and he looked at you.  “I’m handsome right?  I saw you staring.” He teased.  You rolled your eyes.  You handed him his coat back and wiped yourself off.  “You didn’t disagree~” He sang playfully.  You smack his arm and he glared.  He teased you again and you were about to smack him again, but this time he caught your arm and looked at you.  “Yah…” You tried to pull your arm away, but he held on tight.  “I missed you.” He said quietly, trying his best to keep eye contact, but you kept looking away, but your eyes wen back to his.  “Everything reminded me of you.  Even after all these years.” He said, embarrassed, but truthful.
“Me too.” You said.  “Walking these streets everyday, sitting alone at Jun’s… Everything.” You hadn’t wanted to admit it, but he was always at the back of your head.  He was slightly surprised, but you were too.  He smiled and pulled you into a hug.  You smiled a laughed a little, wrapping your arms around him.  “I’m so glad I decided to come here today.” He mumbled.  “Were you trying to run into me?” You asked, pushing away from him a little to look at his face, realizing the possibility.  He avoided eye contact, and you could see his slightly red ears.  “Maybe…” He confessed, making you laugh really hard.  “Yah!!” He pulled you back so he didn’t have to look at your face and you continued to laugh, getting short of breath.  “You’re crazy.” You said.  “I know.” He said, kissing your forehead.
I’ve honestly had this scenario in my head for the past like year or something, but I never finished it, so today I revamped it and finally finished it LOL.  It’s not the best, but it’s definitely better than what I had from a year ago LMAOOO  Let me know if you liked it, if there are any mistakes I should fix, or whatever you want :) Please follow!!

Saturday, July 28, 2012 – Day after Beach Bonfire
Slept until eleven a.m. this morning. Woke up feeling sore in my arms, shoulders, and back after chopping fire wood with an ax yesterday.
The bonfire ended up with six of us there, but only four of us really bonded.
Richy was not clear on his end of the plan. Valerie was implied second driver, though I wasn’t even aware of that part.   Ronan had texted Richy on Thursday. Richy had taken an hour to answer the first text, then had not answered when Ronan asked about the ax.  Richy had called me Friday afternoon, before the bonfire, asking about what the plan was. He told me that the ax was in the trailer, which was locked.  “So we’ll just be picking you up, then?” I asked him. This was so confusing.  “I can’t go yet, actually. If I do, I’d have to take my brother and sister with me, probably.”  Ronan was very detailed in planning for this, but there was a lack of effort on their end. My annoyance was likely rooted in my unflinching loyalty and tendency to side with Ronan on everything, grand and trivial I didn’t even know that Valerie was invited, nor did Ronan know her name had shown up on the list he’d compiled.  “So did Richy know that we needed his ax?” I asked Ronan later as I drove us. Ronan nodded. “I gave him a week.”
We headed over to Hunter’s, where we ended up chopping the wood with his parents giving advice in the earlier stages. His brother, according to Ronan, was surprisingly “helpful.” Hunter and his brother usually fight a lot.
There was a particular log that the three of us could not crack after taking consecutive turns. I was keen to disassemble it, but my optimism was just that.  Ronan christened it the “demon log.” It was queued to be burned first.
When it was Ronan’s turn with the ax, Hunter lounged with me on the patio. In an attempt to make Ronan angry so he could put more effort into chopping the fire wood, Hunter mentioned that he had gone to Lollicup.  Ronan had made his way over, playfully swinging the ax. “What – did – you – say?”  I burst into laughter.
I helped Hunter get the small cooler down by seizing both sides of the larger cooler it sat on, tipping it so the small cooler could slip down.  Hunter, who was standing behind me, caught the small cooler.  My hands were still on both sides of the heavier cooler; I was standing on tip toe as I gazed behind me, up at him.  “You should get out first,” I told him, trying to sound gentle even though I was already tired. I figured if I roll with the boys, I should try to have their backs in every way. He motioned his head. “You go.”  I exited.  “You know,” he said behind me. “You just put yourself in a rather awkward position.”  I could feel the embarrassment, tinged with amusement, rise in my chest. “Oh! Oops.”  “You looked like you liked it from behind.”  I burst into a bout of mad giggling, which he echoed with deep chuckling.  Ronan, who was in the yard, looked up at us in question. “I don’t want to know what happened between you two in there!”
We ended taking Hunter’s car, since he has more trunk space in the back.  Stopped by Valu Plus, where Hunter bought soda and ice for the cooler, in which Ronan and I had stowed our food – his already cooked spaghetti noodles (the actual sauce to be heated later) and my marinaded somen noodles.  Hunter succumbed to his cravings and purchased a small bag of Starburst chews.  We would later watch two of the strawberry-flavored ones fizzle and burn in the flames.  Strawberry, after all, is Hunter’s least favorite flavor.
Ronan and Hunter recalled the memory when Ronan had pressed the button that had opened the sun roof of Hunter’s car and caused all sorts of rubble to rain down on them.  “My car doesn’t like you,” Hunter said. “But it’s just not doing anything because Christy’s here.”  “Just like when Ronan made it across the fountain, even though he thought it would turn on,” I said. “But it didn’t turn on. And it was because of me.”  Ronan laughed.
Mentioned that I had thought of bringing soju, which I had never tried before.  “Do you know how it tastes?” I asked.  “No, I’ve never tried it,” Ronan said. “But you can. You’re twenty-one. I’ve always wanted to try the fruit-flavored soju…”  Ronan’s tried a variety of drinks, many of which others have enjoyed for the effect they have yielded.  “I hate the taste of alcohol, though,” he said.  The mention of alcoholic beverages led to talk of Las Vegas once Ronan turned twenty-one.  ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
We claimed a free pit near the restrooms as well as Kokomo’s Grill Bar. Xyrad would be joining us after work, by bus.  Richy and Valerie would be arriving “eventually.”  I stayed by the pit with their backpacks while Hunter and Ronan went back to the car to fetch the wood and the cooler.   Ronan held his phone out to me. “Here, you want to call them? Or just hang on to it.”  I reached out and grasped it. “Or you can call me?”  I had left my phone in my car, again.  When Hunter returned with the wood, I got up. “Here, you should rest.”  He shook his head.  “But you already – “  “No, sit!” Hunter insisted. He disappeared to the car again. Ronan had yet to trek across the steps dragging the cooler as well as holding the bag containing the lighter fluid.  I ran across the sand to help him carry the bag.  I reached for the cooler as well, but Ronan refused. “No. It’s heavy.”   Hunter returned with the rest of the wood.  We assembled some of the logs around and in the pit.
Ronan and Hunter lay down on their respective towels in the sand.  Ronan had asked me if I wanted to go with them by the Metro to Glendale.  “What’s in Glendale?” I asked, curious.  “Stuff.” Ronan looked down at his towel. “It’s beautiful, actually. I’ll show you.”  I silently nodded.  “It’s a surprise,” he finally said, smiling.  I laughed. “That’s funny, coming from someone who doesn’t like surprises.”  “Why’d you wear stockings to the beach, Christy?” Ronan asked.  “To prevent burning.”
Hunter asked if I wanted to lay down. I was surprised he was offering. I declined, saying I would only get tired. I started to dig in the sand to find something interesting. Ronan uncovered something with his toe.  “What is it, Christy?”  It was a piece of metal that looked like it was half of a nail clipper. He placed it aside to toss it into the fire later.    Hunter and I talked about animals while Ronan went to the bathroom. He sure knows a lot from the animal programs his father is fond of watching.  Many animals function in harem-style groups.
Ronan had not worn his glasses because he was not doing any of the day’s driving. Instead, he donned a pair of sunglasses that made everything looked like it was cast in a soothingly evening light.
I asked him for an update on his mother’s situation; he told me she was fine.
Hunter started the fire while I dug a small trench, in which we were looking to bury him later – horizontally, by his preference.  Ronan switched between helping us – me with digging, Hunter with the fire.  “You’re seriously going through with this?” Ronan asked, as I dug.  “Of course. You should know me by now.”  He handed me the bottle cap to dug with, then the metal piece he’d found earlier.  “It’s faster,” he said.  I finished furiously quick.
Xyrad arrived at around seven p.m. with hot dogs and apples. He had just gotten out of work, but his late arrival would be compensated by the fact that he would be able to stay late. He didn’t have an opening shift the next morning, fortunately.  Hunter was intent on eating the spaghetti once Ronan heated up the sauce.  “If we end up having to eat cold noodles, you’re walking home!” Hunter said.  “What about my noodles?” I pointed out. “They’re cold.”  “They’re supposed to be like that, aren’t they? I’ll make an exception this time.”
Xyrad threw the metal nail-clipper thing from earlier into the fire.  We didn’t see where it landed.
We started eating some of my somen noodles, but they were cold. Hunter and Xyrad were adamant on eating the spaghetti.  It started to get dark without my noticing.  “Half moon,” Hunter said, nodding at the sky.  “Quarter moon,” Xyrad corrected.  “With my vision, it’s also a half moon,” I said; Ronan laughed.  “Every time there’s a full moon, someone dies,” Hunter said.    “Christy, want to help me cook?” Ronan asked me, while I was wolfing down my second helping of somen.  “Okay.”  “Just finish it. I’ll wait for you.”  Ronan took out a small pan, into which he poured the basil-based sauce, which I exhibited familiarity/willingness towards.  I stirred, while he held the pan over the flames.  Richy had called Xyrad around nine p.m. He and Valerie were on their way.  “What’s the point of them coming?” Ronan said, his brows raised.   “By the time they get here, we’ll be closing shop,” Hunter said.  I silently agreed.  “It’s a good thing we didn’t wait for them until we started cooking,” I said, looking over at Xyrad.  “I meant cooking the hot dogs!” he protested.  “It just came down to trying Ronan’s patience,” Hunter commented.  “I could have waited all night,” Ronan murmured.  I believed that.  One of the groups near us was exchanging stories. A guy with a booming voice was narrating a particularly amusing encounter with a spider.  “There’s a spider over there! No, wait, it’s over there! Oh… guess we’re not sleeping tonight.”  A boom to our right indicated that someone among the teenage boys had thrown something in the fire. Ronan guessed it was the lighter fluid bottle, while Xyrad ventured that it was a battery.  Ronan’s spaghetti sauce, into which he drowned some precooked chicken, turned out delicious – more so topping the whole grain pasta he’d brought.  “Thanks for the spaghetti, Ronan,” I said gently, placing my hand on his shoulder.  “It’s fine,” Ronan replied, smiling gently at me, the rolling fire reflected in his eyes.  “Ronan, you’re wonderful,” Xyrad said.  “You should give him a hug and a big kiss,” I urged playfully.  “You should give Hunter a big hug,” Ronan said to Xyrad. “And a kiss.”  “You chose the sauce,” I said to Xyrad, riding Ronan’s wave.  “You did, too,” Xyrad threw back. He turned back to Hunter. “So you have to kiss her, too!”  “I don’t mind that,” Hunter said, glancing at me.  Surprised and momentarily speechless, I looked over at Ronan. He was eyeing the fire, the dancing flames reflecting golden off his tan skin. He wasn’t the least bit surprised; he’d told me before why Hunter’s nice to me. He was silently observing, taking things in.  Hunter eyed me, steadily. “You’d wash off the bad taste of having to kiss these two.”  My laughter was short-lived. It was not grounded in amusement as much as it served to veil my slight discomfort.  I remained sitting by Ronan as he patiently stoked the flames.   Hunter was still hungry, so he attempted to cook one of the sausages over the fire, sticking it into the flames via chopstick. It was an amusing, yet worrying sight. He’d burned himself several times by the time the night ended.
Ronan drenched one of the logs in lighter fluid. Seeing it burst into furious, empowering flames was fun and exhilarating.
Richy called Xyrad again, once he and Valerie had parked.  “Just tell them to go home,” Ronan said in his usual blunt manner. “There’s no point.”  I couldn’t see this particular dynamic of the night having a pretty close; they had come all this way. Valerie hadn’t even been invited by Ronan. Unless they joined us at In-N-Out (Hunter and Xyrad wanted warm food), they had no other choice but to go home. We would be leaving the beach once it closed.
“Can I have an apple?” I asked Xyrad. Ronan had already obtained his.  “Yes, you can – before I shove it down your throat!”  I laughed.  I can’t remember the dialog that followed that led him to call me “really pushy.”    We were in the middle of packing up our things when Richy and Valerie arrived.  “There you are!” Xyrad called. He was the only one.  I think Hunter said something, too – but Ronan and I were silent. I was always on his team. Something felt strange. They weren’t really speaking to us. They were speaking to Xyrad, mostly.  Valerie had a glow stick. We started walking towards Hunter’s car; I was behind Hunter and Ronan.  Our fire was still burning, meekly, behind us.  “Oh, I guess we’re off,” Xyrad said behind me. Though Richy is Xyrad’s cousin, they’re not that close. That said, Xyrad regards his friends as his chosen family.  It was not my intention to snub Valerie or Richy by not talking to them. But they had not say hi, and they were coming off as a bit stiff. My recent bout of hunger was now quenched, but I was still exhausted. My shoulders and back were sore from chopping wood earlier.  At the edge of my eye, I saw Richy and Valerie behind us, making their way up the small stairs. Valerie was idly waving her glow stick.  “Everybody who’s with me, get in the car!” Hunter said.  I climbed in behind him. Xyrad was still talking to Richy and Valerie. I glanced over at them, not knowing what to say.  Richy and Valerie passed Ronan, who was putting stuff in the trunk.  “So you guys are going to In-N-Out?” I heard Richy ask him.  “Yeah. Are you guys going?”  I saw Richy shrug his shoulders as he walked away with Valerie.   I turned to Xyrad, who sat next to me, as Ronan settled in shotgun position.  “Why do they look so - ?”  “Glum?” Xyrad finished.  I nodded.  “Because they just got here, and everything’s over.”  Glum was a bit of an understatement, I silently thought. There was much more lurking in the undercurrent. I sensed miscommunication brewing. I had no idea what their perspective was, beyond what Xyrad said. But did I care enough to make an effort? I wasn’t sure. It depended on Ronan. We passed Valerie and Richy in the car. Ronan wondered aloud if we should drive them to their car. Hunter pointed out that there wouldn’t be enough room for both of them. That was the truth, and it was trailed by silence.  I gazed back at Richy and Valerie as we passed them, and I had a strange feeling it would be the last time we’d see them in a while.  It was hard to believe that just a few weeks ago, we had gone to Blackstar Canyon with Richy… had had a tremendously fun time. As for Valerie, the last time I saw her was… gosh, when did I last see her? Graduation celebration at Andrew’s house, back in June. Just before the truth about senior year was revealed to them.
The heater was turned on; Ronan asked if I could feel it in the back. “Not really,” I said rather meekly. He adjusted it for me until I felt warm enough.
“It’s too warm in here to get out,” I said, once we pulled up to In-N-Out.  Ronan looked back at me from where he sat in shotgun. “I’ll stay with you. I have no money, anyway.”  Hunter and Xyrad exited; as they did so, they let in the cold air.  Ronan turned on the heater again, despite Hunter protesting that it would drain his battery.  “Can you feel it?” Ronan asked me, checking the spot in front of my feet, under Hunter’s chair.  I confirmed that I could. It wasn’t a problem, anyway, so long as we were inside the car. There was no point in going inside anyway, considering we weren’t ordering anything.  Ronan and I chatted.  “Do you think they’re coming?” He was referring to Richy and Valerie.  I shook my head. “I don’t think so.”  “I don’t think so, either.”  I had not looked at their faces.  “I didn’t look, either,” Ronan said. “I could feel the negativity coming from them.”  “Even I could feel it,” I said. I could be unemotional about most things. “The immensity of it must’ve been quadruple for you.”  “Oh, yeah.”  “What’s going on, anyway?” I sighed. “She couldn’t possibly be mad about that week, still? It was over a month ago!” I went on about Richy. “I’ve never seen Richy like that.”  “He’s changing,” Ronan said. Then, in a sing song voice, perhaps to lighten things up : “For the worst!”  I laughed. “Yeah, well… Valerie is his priority. I guess that’s understandable.”  Ronan didn’t say anything to follow. He looked thoughtful as his eyes shifted sideways.  He turned the heater off once the cold wasn’t so heavy on us.  I told him about having watched a scary scene where someone had written “I see you” on the fogged-up back window of a car. Ronan laughed.  We both agreed that the day had been fun, though it had a shaky start and close once Valerie and Richy arrived.
I suppose I know how Valerie feels… not really having a social group. I remember she used to eat by herself before I asked her to sit with us at lunch. She’d joined us sometime in junior year. Ronan and Valerie had done some projects together. I had shared music with her. We had all had a lot of laughs together – but it had not impacted me deeply. We were ordinary friends.  I can understand she has gone through emotional currents, what with having a ridiculous friendship with a controlling, manipulative weirdo. But I’m done with feeling guilty. Why the hell should I feel guilty?  Fast forward to the present, and I was now sitting in a station wagon – with no one else other than the guy who I had nearly ended things on a sour note with. Why we stuck around each other for so long, through it all, I have no idea.  But as painful as the almost was, I prefer it over cutting the cord… and finishing things.  There wasn’t anything worth ending our friendship over, anyway. It was a series of misunderstandings that built up over time, added with our lack of directly addressing the matter. Our separate perspectives were left in the undercurrent for so long. I was aware of Ronan avoiding eye contact with me even while he was talking to me… blocking me out even after we had gone back to hanging out, being physically around each other but worlds apart. But I was always on his side, I knew that. I had let it be as we both put forth effort to reconnect, and we moved past it successfully .
Xyrad and Hunter returned with their orders. Ronan ate some of Hunter’s fries.  “It’s warmer inside,” Xyrad told us, referring to the interior of the fast food restaurant.  “It’s not worth the walk,” I said.  Ronan echoed his agreement. I knew he was warmer than me, though.  It was nice of him to stay back in the car.
Hunter went back inside to use the restrooms.  I asked Xyrad, playfully, what became of the guy who he called out to during the drive to sushi with Quyen on her birthday. We had also hung out with Sue and David, Quyen’s little brother.  “He broke up with me last week,” Xyrad said in a jokingly shaky voice.  Jokes followed about rebound sex.  “I need a hero,” Xyrad said.  “I need a hero, too,” I said.  “Be each other’s hero,” Ronan said.  “I already have a hero,” I said.  Ronan became quiet again, looking off at the dashboard.  “Ooh, who is he?” Xyrad asked, in a way that put a scandalous spin on whatever answer I had.  “Not in that way!”  “Oh, who is she, then?”  I reached into my camisole. “Where’s my necklace… aha!” I unveiled my  Buddha necklace. “Buddha!”  “Buddha is not a she!” Xyrad protested.  Ronan glanced back at us; he had gone silent after I said I already had a hero. “Who said? Buddha can be a she…”  “Because you said ‘not in that way,’” Xyrad said.  “Because you made it sound sexual!”    The drive inland was humorous. We passed a place called The Fight Shop.  “Wonder what that is,” I murmured.  “It’s like Fight Club,” Xyrad said. “I’d like two uppercuts, and a haymaker.” He whisked his face around as he mimed being struck by his order. “That was good… I’d like another one, sir!”  “What’s going on back there?” Ronan asked from shotgun. “Is Christy being domineering again?”  I laughed.
Xyrad poking my “firm thighs” made me protest. I saw Ronan and Hunter exchange glances in the front.  “I’m not even going to look back there,” Ronan said.  “I don’t consent!” I said loudly.  “You don’t have to consent,” Xyrad shot back.  The whole car erupted in laughter.  “Where’s Mr. Abs of Steel when I need him?” I whined.  “Don’t worry, Christy,” Ronan said. “We’re about to pass by his house.”
“Seems like you’ve been a lot of places, Xyrad,” I initiated. “First Fight Shop… what’ve you done at Party City?” We passed the costume store.  “I couldn’t do much.”  “What’d you try to start?”  “I tried to do balloon animals.”  “I never knew, Xyrad.”  “Kinky,” Ronan commented.  Xyrad proceeded to fake-cry. “I tried to do a snake, and I got a giraffe!”  We all laughed.  “That’s a good one.” I could hear the amusement in Ronan’s voice.
Ronan expressed interest in throwing a battery into the flames next time.  “Look it up on Youtube,” Xyrad advised him. “Compare what you’d expect to see from an Energizer explosion versus a Duracell explosion.”  “What?” Ronan sounded like the logic of that was lost on him.  “What does the brand have to do with anything?” I asked. “How about Double A explosions versus Triple A explosions?”  “That makes more sense,” Ronan said, looking back at me.  “You should look up copper-based versus alkaline-based,” Hunter advised. This, to me, made the most sense.  It wasn’t every day I witnessed someone triumphing over Xyrad in a logical argument.  Xyrad correcting Hunter’s grammar later earned him a “Don’t correct me!”  “I always correct people,” Xyrad said.    Hunter drove us back to his place, where Xyrad made a joke about some guy watching us when Hunter pulled up to us as we were in my car, waiting for me to back out of the spot.  Stuck my hand out the open window and waved shakily to Hunter. “Bye.”  Xyrad burst into laughter behind me. “What was that?”  “What do you mean?” I asked, unfazed.  “Like he can hear you!” Xyrad proceeded to wave to Hunter in a smoother manner than I did.  “You forgot to hug him,” I said.  “You forgot to kiss him.” I knew Ronan would say that. “He needs kissin’!”  “Exactly, and that’s plural … You didn’t hug him,” Xyrad said.  “Well, I forgot, too.”  “See!”  Not like I really wanted to hug Hunter all that much, much less kiss him.  The one time I did hug him good-night was awkward and hilarious.    I drove the three of us back towards Xyrad’s place. Xyrad grabbed both of my shoulders from behind, making me scream.  He burst into laughter.  “Xyrad!” Ronan said, defending me.  “Alejandro” by Lady Gaga started playing. Ronan and I started singing to it, as a way of taunting Xyrad.  “Wow, he has no reaction.” I stared into the rearview mirror.  Ronan turned around. “Xyrad, we’re singing for you! Show some appreciation. Common courtesy, yo.”  “What? This song is so depressing for me… I’m all about heartbreak.”  “No,” I protested, trying to point out the bright side for him. “You had… a good birthday – “  “What? You need to speak up - ”  “YOU HAD A GOOD BIRTHDAY!” Ronan bellowed, abruptly. “DAMN!”  His eyes swam with a lightheartedness not usually seen, but his face was straighter than mine would have been in such a situation.  I started to giggle.   I didn’t usually see Ronan like this, though this was not the first time his humor bordered on slapstick and nonsensical. I could recall when he first took me to Craig Park, where he’d spent his childhood afternoons after his sister finished class at Cal State Fullerton. He had hung from the monkey bars and behaved outlandishly – not that I had a problem with it. It was nice and rare to see him freeing himself. Ronan was usually the one to raise his brow at me whenever I behaved erratically. I laughed some more as he shed his skin.  Ronan continued to scream before finishing with a shout : “My throat hurts! Look what you did!”  “You have to comfort Ronan now,” I told Xyrad, somehow managing a straight face.  Pulled into an unoccupied reserved parking spot in Xyrad’s complex.  Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” was playing.  “I love it when they play this as we’re closing at work,” Xyrad gushed. One of his female coworkers knows the entire dance number.  “That’s cool,” Ronan commented.  “Even the part where he flicks his leg onto the pool table and stuff?” I asked.  “Yeah, except we don’t have a pool table.”  I giggled madly, which made Xyrad laugh heartily.  It was a good night.  Xyrad got out. “No goodbye hugs?”  “No, because you molest people!”  “What? I don’t…”    Now it was off to Ronan’s.   “Should we go to Santa Monica next week?” Ronan asked me.  “That sounds good. On a weekend?” I said. “Not sure, I’ll check the weather.”  He asked if I’d seen the latest episode of “Final Witness,” to which I replied no.  “I feel guilty if I’m sitting still without being productive… haven’t had much time to work out, either.”  “You can work out anywhere. Use what you have around you.” Good advice, as usual.  “Fader” by The Temper Trap played, which reminded me of “Vampire Diaries,” which boasted an impressive soundtrack despite being an unsavory show by my standards.  “Do you ever watch it?” I asked Ronan.  “Sometimes, if it’s on. It’s okay. I like the songs in it, but I don’t know what they are.”  “Look up the episode number, maybe?”  “I don’t know the episodes,” Ronan laughed. He hugged me tight before exiting my car and entering his house.
