I just remembered that during book 4, at one point Keefe has a mustache

HEY YEAH HE DOES! the one canon confirmation we got that facial hair exists in the lost cities...and it was KEEFE....unless I'm forgetting another instance.

What I want to know is what happened to the "stache" after the elixir wore off? Did all the hair fall out of his skin, showering down around him? Did it reabsorb, retreating and retracting back into his skin slowly?

Wait was the specific mustache style ever described? Alright page 518, it says he twists the ends into points, so he's got a--hey why is one mustache style called "the daddy" according to this one article. Back to my point, maybe he's got a nice handlebar mustache. i think it'd be funny if he had a horseshoe one though, real bushy.

I think elves should commonly wear elaborate beard and stache styles if they're such a superior species. You know like this or this. Actually nevermind those beards are too cool for these loser elves (said with love). They couldn't handle the power of such lovingly sculpted beards.

Anyway, a little derailed but man. Can't believe Keefe had a mustache for like 26 pages one time.

Wait he was so excited about it too...adult keefe with a mustache...what if he genuinely and unironically grows one?

Easy option: they all dress as their Council-assigned fursonas. the ones who aren't on Team Valiant. idk. they can choose their own fursonas.

Alternatively:

Sophie has a feathered mask, with mechanical wings fashioned by Dex, like a moonlark.

Fitz is practical. He's always in the spotlight in his regular life. He doesn't want a flashy disguise. Instead, he chooses to wear an obscurer and blend in with the crowd.

Tam cloaks his body in a thin layer of shadows.

Linh surrounds herself in mist too dense for anyone to even catch a glimpse of her features.

Biana could use her invisibility to disappear like Wraith, but she doesn't. She's tired of hiding, and she's not going to pass up the chance to design a new outfit. She's the most stylish rebel at any battle.

Wylie uses indurite powder like Tiergan. It's a far different effect, though, with light shining through the cracks in the stone casing as he uses his ability.

Dex uses his technopathy to create a set of armor. It has everything—a jetpack, a built-in melder, any new invention he thinks up.

Keefe uses elixirs. He's constantly changing his mind about how he wants to look—mustaches, muscles, short hair, long hair, anything. He's always in Dex's workshop, asking for new elixirs. Dex complains, but secretly, he doesn't mind at all.

Marella was going to cloak herself in fire, but realized that that might be...not the best way of hiding her identity. She gets Dex to create an elixir that coats her in a layer of ice like Juline. It's a rather unpleasant shock to her enemies when they find their "cryokinetic" opponent using fire powers. Fintan is proud.

I'm just waiting for the day sophie finally say fuck reputation and cracks down on Cassius's shity parenting

She just leaps to the shores of solace (bad name choice) with a bunch of weapons and drags Keefe and Ro to Cassius's trophy room and destroys everything with them

Cassius is in tears by the time he sees it

The three of them charge in and Sophie has a metal baseball bat slung over her shoulder and her eyes glint with something dark and dangerous. Things are crashing, breaking, she may have started a small fire in a corner to burn certificates.

Ro has a full on sledgehammer. She looks like a gray-skinned Harley Quinn, in a way. All her pointed teeth are glinting in the light.

Keefe stands there quietly for a lot of it, watching as his older ogre sister and girlfriend just destroy his dad's favorite room.

Then Sophie hands him a can of spray paint.

His face lights up.

Because, if there's one thing that Keefe Cassius Sencen loves, it's graffiti. He's drawn on the walls of the school's bathrooms. One of the theories of the Great Gulon Incident involved a giant gulon painted on the ceiling of the headmaster's office. He loves making things messy, loves telling the system to suck it. Maybe his favorite thing in the world isn't making things crash into shards, maybe it's subtle, or something, usually. He's too subtle, too Slytherin, too something to full on break things, but if there's something the blond boy cannot resist, it is an opportunity to deface something with a can of spray paint.

Yellow drips of paint trail down the walls, red drips like blood from the glass panes of the windows. Keefe sprays his father's name and draws lines through it.

He paints over metal trophies. He puts an extraordinary amount of effort into one of the statues, making it a real work of art, red and blue and purple and black making it impossible to see what the plaque reads.

Keefe paints a rude word on the butt of one of Cassius's favorite statues.

Ro wanted to cut up the family portrait on the walls, but Keefe beat her to it.

His father has a pink bow tie, devil horns, and glasses. He sprays on a tiny neon green mustache, and moves onto his mother.

Carefully, he sprays the entirety of her out. Black, green, blue, brown, yellow. Every color bleeds together, and Gisela Sencen is a muddle of shadow and spraypaint.

Keefe cuts his own face out of the painting, folds it up, and quietly puts it in his pocket.

Sophie grabs his hand, stained with paint, and they take a step back, looking over the room.

Keefe smiles, in a dark, sad kind of way.

Sophie's grip around his hand tightens. He looks at her. "Thanks," he whispers. "This was... oddly therapeutic."

She grins. "You're worth it."

He kisses her cheek.

Ro closes the door behind them, and they leave the fire burning in the corner.

Needless to say, Lord Cassius called the police, the council, and the Black Swan to try and scream at someone.

It didn't work.

He had to cry alone in his bedroom for a long while, like the baby he's always claimed his son is.

Hearts of Gold - Chapter 4

“Shiro! Keith! Glad you guys are okay.” Pidge’s voice was heard over the coms in their helmets. The Green Lion landed near the group, the wind putting out their campfire. The green paladin exited her Lion and ran to the group. 

“Pidge, tell Coran that we need a pod for Shiro,” Keith orders when she is within earshot. 

“Got it,” Pidge put her hand to her helmet and spoke to the Altean on the other line. “Coran, you there? We need a pod for Shiro.”

”Shiro’s hurt?” came the voice in Pidge’s helmet. 

“Yeah, I’m bringing him up.” Pidge dropped her hand and went to kneel by Shiro when she noticed the girl sitting by the remnants of the fire. 

“Who’s that?” she asked, looking toward Keith.

“An Altean. She saved Shiro’s life,” he responded. Pidge looked back at the girl, inspecting her purple marks and pointed ears. The girl looked back with similar curiosity. 

“You’re not kidding,” she said in amazement, then looked back at the red paladin. “I thought Allura said they were extinct?”

“We thought the same thing, but she looks Altean and has weird magic powers like Allura,” Shiro replied. “But she doesn’t speak English, so we can’t really ask her about it.”

“She understands gestures though,” Keith added. 

“Is she the only one out here?” Pidge asked.

“Looks like it. We haven’t seen any others,” Shiro responded. 

“Shiro wants to bring her back to the ship, but we can’t really ask her if she wants to,” Keith said, crossing his arms over his chest. 

“Let me try something.” Pidge moved over to the girl, kneeling in front of her. The green paladin pointed to each of the paladins, then to the starlit sky. She dropped her hand and stood up, pointed to the girl, then back at the sky, and held out her hand with a questioning gaze. The girl took it with a smile and an excited nod. Pidge turned back to the men.

“That’s how it’s done.” She smiled proudly. The redheaded girl slipped her arms into the straps of her straw pack and hefted it to a comfortable position on her back. The situation earned a chuckle from Shiro. 

“I guess that works too,” he joked. Keith helped him to his feet.

“Pidge, We’ll follow you to the castle ship.”

“Got it, need help with Shiro?”

“No, I’ve got him,” Keith responded. 

“I can hold most of my weight,” Shiro quipped. 

“Alright, I’ll meet you at the hanger,” Pidge turned to head back to her Lion and Keith led the elder paladin to the Black Lion. The redhead followed close behind with a skip in her step, clutching the music box in her small hands.  

Keith set the Black paladin on the floor of the Black Lion’s cockpit and took a seat in the pilot’s chair. The redhead stood at the screens once again, watching as the ground pulled away and Black lifted into the sky. She watched the Green Lion do the same. Shiro could practically see the stars in her eyes as the girl stared in awe. She was even more impressed by the sight of the castle ship. The girl obviously had never seen anything like it, and it amazed her. 

Black touched down in the hanger as did Red, having flown autonomously. Pidge popped into the Black Lion’s hanger. Keith helped Shiro out of the room and towards the pods. Pidge offered her hand to the girl, silently happy to no longer be the shortest one aboard the castle. The redhead took her hand and they walked out of the hanger into the main control room. She spun in circles, taking in the entire room from floor to ceiling. Her eyes locked to the large window to space, and the thousands of stars. They stood like that for a few minutes until Pidge was sure they were done with Shiro. The bespectacled girl took her hand and they headed to the pod room. 

Pidge helped the smaller girl out of her backpack and left it just outside the room. Pidge poked her head inside and nodded to Keith, who was mid-conversation with Coran, though it was more like a lecture than a conversation. 

“- remember my boy, never give a Tomwalley the time of day. One word and you’ll never leave!” Coran spouted a combination of a story and a fairytale, to the amusement of Allura beside him. 

“Coran, are you sure you two are the last Alteans?” Keith asked. The movement in the room paused for a moment.

“What prompted that question?” Allura inquired, befuddled. 

“I just- thought you couldn’t be the only ones. What if some of the Alteans escaped Zarkon?” Keith pushed, earning a sigh from Coran.

“It’s possible, but Zarkon scoured the galaxy looking for the rest of our kind. It’s so unlikely that a group large enough to continue our species managed to survive his conquest.” Coran responded sadly. Keith looked toward Pidge and nodded. 

“Oh Pidge, we didn’t see you there,” Allura said, surprised. 

“Keith and Shiro found someone we’d like you to meet.” Pidge entered the room, tailed by a short red-haired girl, with purple sickle-shaped marks beside her eyes and pointed elven ears. 

To say Coran and Allura were shocked would be an understatement. 

“You- She- what? How!” Allura sputtered at the sight of the young Altean. The girl seemed just as surprised. She ran to the royal Altean, opened her music box, and held it out to her. The character spun as the music clicked out. It was a model of the Altean princess. 

“T-this is… me.” Allura wrapped her hands around the object, enamored by the depiction. 

“Keith, where did you find an Altean child?” Coran practically shouted at the teen, flustered at the sight of the girl. 

“The planet where we crash-landed; she saved Shiro from a pack of giant lizard-creatures. We didn’t see anyone else out there though, just her.” Keith folded his arms, leaning on his left leg. 

“What’s your name, sweetie?” Allura bent down and handed the music box back to the girl. 

“She doesn’t understand English,” Keith interjected. 

“Really? I thought our translators worked with all languages,” Coran pondered. 

“Maybe we try traditional Altean?” Allura offered. “I’m a little out of practice though.”

Keith and Pidge had no idea what was said next, but it certainly wasn’t English. Coran seemed to babble to the girl for a good doobosh, but she gave a response no different to when she was being talked to in English. 

“Well quiznak, she doesn’t know Altean either,” Coran said, frustrated. 

“Is it weird that she hasn’t tried to talk to us either?” Pidge noted. “She might not have been raised with language in the first place.” 

“There wasn’t any sign of other people on that planet, and the only piece of technology she has is that music box,” Keith continued Pidge’s thought. 

“That is strange. She must be at least 30 deca-phobes old,” Allura pondered. 

“30?” Pidge questioned. 

“Oh, we haven’t established a comparison between Human and Altean ages, have we?” Allura chuckled. 

“We can worry about that later,” Coran responded, stroking his mustache. “We have a child whom we can’t communicate with. This is a predicament.” 

“She understands gestures pretty well. It’s how I asked if she wanted to come up to the ship with us,” Pidge offered. 

“What kind of gestures?” Allura requested.

“Things like pointing, nodding, smiling, what else?” She looked to Keith.

“She uses them too, things like ‘stay’, ‘here’, ‘shoo’, stuff like that. Normal gestures.” Keith shrugged. “She really likes flying.” 

Allura thought for a moment, then an idea struck her. She knelt down before the girl and pointed to herself. 

“Allura,” she was careful to speak slowly and enunciate. The girl looked at her, confused for a moment before she realized the woman in front of her was waiting for a response. 

“A-al-l-lurr-a..” the girl slurred awkwardly. Allura beamed and nodded. 

“Allura,” She repeated, coaxing. 

“Allura,” The girl parroted. 

“Yes! My name is Allura.” The princess looked to the surprised faces around her, smiling proudly. She pointed to the mustached Altean beside her. 

“Coran.” 

“G-c-ur…” she struggled.

“Ck-Coran,” Allura assisted.

“C-coran... Coran.” The girl beamed when Allura nodded.

“Yes, his name is Coran,” She said, still pointing. She pointed at Keith, and the girl copied. 

“Keith.” 

“Keef,” the girl frowned at the words not sounding the same. 

“Th,” Allura stuck her tongue out between her teeth for emphasis. 

“Th,” the girl copied. 

“Good,” Allura praised. “Keith.”

“Keith,” she parroted. She smiled excitedly. 

“Yes, his name is Keith,” Allura repeated. The girl turned around and pointed at Pidge.

“Pidge,” Allura said while pointing.

“Pijh,” the girl paused before correcting herself. “Pidge.”

“Yes! Her name is Pidge.” The girl then pointed at the pod that held the Black Paladin and looked at Allura questioningly. 

“Shiro,” Allura answered. 

“Shiro,” The girl parroted. 

“Yes, his name is Shiro.” Allura then pointed at the girl and gave her a questioning look. The girl followed and pointed to herself. For a moment she looked startled, then dejected. She looked to the ground sadly and shook her head. 

“She doesn’t have a name?” Pidge asked. 

“Or she doesn’t know it…” Coran pondered. The girl seemed to deflate and fidget with the music box, still in her hands. 

“Allura.” The girl opened the gold-accented music box and pointed once again at the spinning figure of the princess, then back at the taller Altean. Pidge came over to inspect the device alongside Allura. 

“It’s pretty bizarre that she’d have a music box with you as the character, isn’t it?” Pidge questioned. 

“I’ve never seen one of these myself. People revere my father, but I don’t know why I would be in a music box.” Allura turned the box in her hands quizzically. 

“You are the princess of our people,” Coran suggested. Something on the box caught Allura’s attention. 

“There’s an inscription on the box,” Allura interrupted. The inscription was written in loopy Altean handwriting. 

“I hate cursive,” Allura said, squinting at the writing and earning a laugh from the ones who could understand her. 

“Can you read it?” Pidge asked. Allura inspected it a bit more before answering. 

“To… Malakai, love Mom and Dad.” She handed the music box back to the girl, now identified. 

“Malakai? Like the ancient warrior?” Coran asked. Allura nodded in his direction. 

“A perfect name for a strong young lady,” Allura said, gleeful. She pointed to the girl, waiting for her to point to herself. 

“Malakai,” Allura said slowly. 

“Malakai,” The girl repeated. “Malakai,” She said again, standing up straighter. 

“Yes! Your name is Malakai,” Allura announced. 

“What a strong name,” Coran added, pleased as he crossed his arms and leaned against a console. 

“We can call her Mal for short!” Pidge said excitedly. 

“Mal,” Allura repeated. “I like that.” 

“Welcome to the family, Mal,” Keith said as he patted her back.

Story Treatment

The Logline

In the Far Universe (Denubian Galaxy), five young space explorer cadets from the Galaxy Alliance of Earth are captured by the Galran Empire of the Drules over their destroyed space colony Olympus. Escaping with the help of a princess to the princess' home planet, they seek out the Lion Voltron to save the galaxy.

Main Characters

1) ALLURA ♀ - Age: 22. Full Title: Princess Allura Fala of Planet Arus (Altea in the ancient texts). Species: Arusian (Altean in ancient times). Homeworld: Arus (Altea). Physical Features: Relatively human-resembling phenotype of Medium-Tall body, Blue eyes, Light Olive skin tone, Round human ears, Yellow Blonde hair in a long feathered (Farrah Fawcett) style, and a medium register voice. The last surviving heir to the throne of planet Arus in the wake of the deaths of her father King Alfor Raimon and her mother Queen Melenor, Allura secretly took up training in the arts of war and espionage in the dead of night so to protect her people from encroachment by the Galran Empire of the Drules. The eventual paladin of Black Lion, her soft spot is for the Space Mice family of planet Arus.

2) KEITH ♂ - Age: 22. Full Name: Keith Akira Kogane. Species: Terran (with distant Arusian/Altean and Galran ancestry). Homeworld: New El Dorado, Planet Olympus (Earth colony in the Denubian Galaxy/Far Universe). Primary Physical Features: A Human phenotype of Medium-Tall body with a swimmer’s build, Brown eyes, Medium skin tone, Round human ears, Black hair in a long mullet style, and medium register voice. Having lived as a sullen orphan with little to lose as a lone wolf, Keith's outlook changes when he sees both the beauty of Allura and the depths of cruelty being committed across the Universe. Matching his drive in battle and earlier temperament, Keith is destined to become paladin of the Red Lion of Fire which is located in the ancient Arusian volcano of Pyros.

3) LANCE ♂ - Age: 21. Full Name: Lance Charles Isamu Kurogane McClain. Species: Terran. Homeworld: New Havana, Planet Olympus (Earth colony in the Denubian Galaxy/Far Universe). Main Physical Features: A Human phenotype of Medium-Tall body with a swimmer build, Blue eyes, Olive skin tone, Round human ears, Brown hair in a bowl style, and a medium register voice. Confident and cocky, Lance is the class clown of the paladins and is something of a ladies' man. However, he is actually quite sensitive, reflective, and distant at the times when it comes down to it. It is said he is the only one who can break through Keith's shell. His laid back, easygoing nature makes him the perfect paladin to pilot the Blue Lion of Water which is located in the Arusian lake of Volturnus.

4) PIDGE I ♂ - Age: 11. Full Name: Darrell Hiroshi Suzuishi "Pidge" Stoker. Species: Terran. Homeworld: New Kerberos, Planet Olympus (Earth colony in the Denubian Galaxy/Far Universe). Physical Features: A Human phenotype with an age-appropriate height, Green eyes with glasses, Caucasian skin tone, Round human ears, Brown hair in a layered shag style, and age-appropriate register of voice. Pidge graduated from the Academy at a young age, and his specialty is science. He is well-trained in the ways of Ninjutsu, and uses his size and agility to his advantage. Pidge is not afraid to speak his mind, but his heart is often in his words. His deep connections to forests balancing with technology suit him as the paladin for the Green Lion of Forest kept in the forest of Arboria.

5) HUNK ♂ - Age: 21. Full Name: Tsuyoshi Seidou "Hunk" Garrett. Species: Terran. Homeworld: New Apia, Planet Olympus (Earth colony in the Denubian Galaxy/Far Universe). Primary Physical Features: A Human phenotype of Medium-Tall body with a muscular rotund build, Brown eyes, Dark Tan skin tone, Round human ears, Brown hair in a mullet with orange bandana, and a medium register voice. Hunk is an engineer in spare time - being a gentle guy with a large appetite, Hunk is the heart of the team, lifting them up and making peace between them. Seeing desolation and misery of Zarkon's conquests, Hunk is determined to free those enslaved. His connection to land will serve him as paladin for the Yellow Lion of Earth which is hidden in the canyon of Terrae.

6) SVEN ♂ - Age: 22. Full Name: Sven Takashi Shirogane Holgersson. Species: Terran. Homeworld: New Oslo, Planet Olympus (Earth colony in the Denubian Galaxy/Far Universe). Primary Physical Features: A Human phenotype of Tall body with a swimmer build, Grey eyes, Medium-Light skin tone, Round human ears, Black hair in a long shaggy style, and a low-medium register voice with a Norwegian accent. Sven or "Takashi" is the eldest of three triplet brothers who also go by Sven as well, and he is an ex-member of an elite Galaxy Alliance Navy trainee squad. With him being a natural, decisive leader as well as second-in-command in tandem with Keith, Sven is calm and always in control - originally intended to be the paladin for the Black Lion of Sky kept in the cliffs of Nephele.

7) CORAN ♂ - Age: 55. Full Title: Coran Hieronymus Wimbleton Smythe Raible. Chief Strategist of Arus (Altea in the ancient texts). Species: Arusian (Altean in ancient times). Homeworld: Arus (Altea). Primary Physical Features: Relatively human phenotype of Tall body, Blue eyes, Medium Tan skin tone, Round human ears, graying Red hair in a shag and mustache, and a lower-medium register voice. Coran is noted for being kinda foppish, goofy, and a little of a traditionalist who can be opinionated and overprotective at times, but is very wise and is a force to be reckoned with. He is the commander of the Castle of Lions, once it becomes battle-worthy, and especially if it needs to travel off planet. After Alfor and Melenor died, they entrusted Coran with the five bayard keys to Voltron.

8) NANNY ♀ - Age: 44. Full Title: Court Lady Nanette "Nanny" Hys - Assistant and Bodyguard to the Arusian Royal Family. Species: Arusian (Altean in ancient times). Homeworld: Arus (Altea). Primary Physical Features: Relatively human phenotype of Medium-Tall body with a supposedly chubby frame that is actually Amazonian muscle, Brown eyes, Light skin tone, Round human ears, graying Brown hair in a crowned and braided braid style, and a low-medium register voice with a Germano-Scottish accent. Nanny's first concern is for Allura's well-being. Despite her peaceful and demure/ladylike inclinations and preferences, "Nanny" is not one to be messed with - what with her fifteen years of service in the Arusian Special Forces. Leave it to Allura to show she must not be babied.

The Background

Long in the past of the Denubian Galaxy NGC 7610 (termed the Far Universe by the Galaxy Alliance), the five-piece fighting humanoid robot known as the Lion Voltron was known as GoLion (King of Five Lions) by the peoples of Altea and Heracles - now called Arus and Pollux. GoLion or Lion Voltron was a sentient being, renown across the galaxy for its feats of heroism and bravery. GoLion went by gender-neutral pronouns based on the gender of the pilot. Ultimately, this led to Lion Voltron developing something of an ego, as it challenged both the wicked witch Druid Haggar I and the goddess Denubia to battle. Denubia, having sensed the egotism brewing in Lion Voltron/GoLion out of simple ignorance of its own power and not out of sinister malice, defeated but spared the mighty robot.

In a rage, the Druid Haggar disguised herself as Denubia and tried to destroy Voltron while succeeding at murdering Denubia. With her last acts, Denubia managed to save Lion Voltron/GoLion by splitting the robot back up into its five component lion robots - Black of Sky, Red of Fire, Green of Forest, Yellow of Earth, and Blue of Water. They were flung through space until they crash-landed on Altea, there to spend a great deal of time defending it from the forces of evil in the Denubian Galaxy until some force caused it to go into dormancy until the time was right. Now the time has come for a rebirth of Lion Voltron with a return of the Galran Empire of Galra (Planet Doom) by the Drules, to threaten the Milky Way, Hyperion and Denubian galaxies. The bayard keys to Voltron are hidden.

The Premise

Historically, the Lion Voltron Force story arc of Voltron: Defender of the Universe was adapted from the 1981 anime series Beast King GoLion but was adapted to be part of a much bigger storyline. Here, the Voltron story takes on more of a mythical Greco-Roman/Medieval fantasy style with elements of space opera and regular science fiction thrown in. Taking the team of heroes premises that are found in the Japanese Super Sentai/Power Rangers series, the galaxy-spanning adventure of Star Wars, the epic mythic fantasies of Arthurian legend and J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium (Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Silmarillion), and the appeal of mecha and big robots found in both the Gundam and Transformers franchises, Voltron is ready to take to the stars for battle and saving the world.

In this four-quadrant five-act epic mecha space fantasy film, a team of five space explorers from Earth and an enchanted humanoid alien princess must break out and flee their alien captors à la The Great Escape, but end up crash-landing on the princess' home planet out of Arthurian legend. Meeting with her royal staff, the princess and the space explorers must trek across the many lands of her planet to reunite the bayard keys that activate the five lion robots that form Lion Voltron - Defender of the Far Universe. In a globetrotting quest out of Lord of the Rings, our heroes must get the people of the war-torn planet's help to overcome the obstacles so they can launch and form Voltron in time to stop a Star Wars-like attack by the enemy's space forces. Only with Voltron will Arus be saved...

The Nemeses

Aside from normal human squabbles and quandaries that face teams of people trying to survive, Lion Voltron and its team of pilots have to contend with the new horrible menace threatening the Denubian Galaxy. The Galrans of Planet Doom fit the tradition of the classic "empire of evil". Most of the Galrans in power are of a pathological diagnosis of needing control, physiologically depending others' misery for their survival. With fleets of starfighters and space battleships; as well as armies of tanks, Ultra Black Corps shock troops and Robeast mecha monsters, Galrans are the muscle of the Drule Empire in the Denubian Galaxy. Currently, only one planet dares to stand in the Galrans' way - Arus.

1) ZARKON ♂ - Age: Late 40s/Early 50s. Species: Galran Drule. Homeworld: Galra (Planet Doom). Eye Color: Yellow. His full royal title is Emperor Zarkon Daibazaal of Planet Galra. King Zarkon is an immensely powerful fighter, having killed Alfor in a climactic duel to the death. Zarkon is to be revealed as a skilled mecha pilot, having once been the paladin for the Black Lion of Sky as a young king who tried to corrupt and convert Lion Voltron to the side of the Drules and Galrans before being rejected by Voltron. The Galran King has little tolerance for failure among his subordinates, and often threatens them for failure. Though he appears to have a slightly higher tolerance for Haggar, she is not immune to being threatened for failures to claim Arus and other planets for the empire.

2) ROBEASTS - Wherever one goes in the Empires of the Drules, there will always be such mighty things as Robeasts to challenge the Voltron Forces and threaten the peace of the Near, Middle and Far Universes. Robeasts from Galra (Planet Doom) sent to battle the Lion Voltron are humanoid monsters created through an unholy combination of super-science and Haggar's magic, most often from the many prisoners of war that are reared in sadistic gladiatorial combat, though some of them are simply colossal robots piloted by Ultra Black Corps troopers. A platoon of fifteen robeasts is ready at a moments notice to travel with fighters, tanks, space battleships and Ultra Black Corps armies to lay siege to whatever may get in their way. They are tricky but not impossible to annihilate.

3) HAGGAR XIII ♀ - Age: Late 60s. Species: Galran Drule/Arusian Half-Breed. Homeworld: Arus (Altea). Eye Color: Yellow. Hair Color: White. Her full title is Court Sorceress Haggar Yoba Honerva. Haggar the Witch Queen is the one responsible for creating the Galran Beast Fighters or Robeasts that Voltron must destroy. She is notorious for her dark magic to cast hypnosis and control spells over people. Though she was once a good and beautiful, she is now evil and ugly by her corruption. It is implied throughout this first film that she is Zarkon's amnesia-stricken wife. Haggar has the power of quintessence at her fingertips, being able to shoot bolts of energy and manipulate it to her will for defense and levitate objects to battle enemies of the Empire. What other secrets lie with her?

4) ULTRA BLACK CORPS - Say hello to the mixed organic and cybernetic shock troopers of the Galran Empire. They serve as the backbone of Galran (Planet Doom's) military forces. Ultra Drones have no built in weapons, instead using the same weapons as their organic counterparts. Drones are capable of squad-level infantry tactics and understanding vocal commands These androids somewhat resemble Galrans and other Drules, appearing to wear charcoal-black armor. In fact, some of the living soldiers appear identical to the Ultra Drones. In addition, Ultra Drones can be used for scouting planetary environments full of every kind of hazards, are more durable, and have no fear of utter destruction to claim the victory. Many a senior soldier here relishes serving Supreme Commander Yurak.

5) YURAK ♂ - Age: 40s. Species: Galran Drule. Homeworld: Galra (Planet Doom). Eye Color: Yellow (Left) and Cybernetic Red (Right). His full title rank is Supreme Commander Yurak of the Galrans, who also travels under the aliases of Sendak and Sadak. He is quite a sadistic, leather-lunged and powerful fighter who is not to be underestimated. His loyalty to King Zarkon and adherence to military hierarchy is without question and only obeys the commands given to him. His fighting style relies primarily on the use of his cybernetic arms, his own energy sword and terrifying piercing claws. He is also athletic, able to dodge and move around quickly to evade attacks. This is despite his large size, topping at about eight feet. If he were a Parris Island drill instructor, he would fit right in.

The Heroes and the Twist

Each member of Lion Voltron's super force of space explorers is reflective of aspects of ourselves that we all have been at some point in our lives the class clown, the lone wolf, the young genius, the tough guy who is also a mediator, and that young person destined for life greater than their backyard. A major bend in the story comes when the original intended paladin to pilot Black Lion - Sven - is badly injured by Galran Drule Ultra Black Corps troopers and on the verge of dying. Princess Allura, who is traveling with him to find Black Lion, has to take his place and fly Black Lion so she can save Sven, his teammates and Arus. But ultimately, Black Lion intended for Allura to be the team's leader from the start. Can Allura rise to the occasion and lead her new team to free Arus?

The Story Breakdown

Prologue

1) From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the Universe, comes a legend. The legend of the Voltrons: Defenders of the Universe. Three mighty robots, loved by good, feared by evil. As the Voltrons' legend grew, peace settled across the galaxies. On Planet Earth, a Galaxy Alliance was formed. Together with the good planets of our Solar System, they maintained peace throughout the Universe until new, horrible menaces threatened the galaxies. The Voltrons are needed once more. This is the story of the super force of space explorers. Specially trained, entrusted and sent by the Alliance with the ancient secrets of how to assemble and bring back, Lion Voltron: Defender of the Far Universe. And the first chapter of a great saga begins with a faraway planet...

Act I

2) We open in orbit of planet Olympus, a human space colony of Earth's in the Denubian Galaxy - termed the Far Universe. A good-sized Galaxy Alliance light cruiser the Pioneer approaches it. Aboard her is a team of five bright and young space explorer cadets returning for summer leave from their senior year at the Galaxy Alliance Academy. In command is Sven Holgersson (black/navy blue) who leads Keith Kogane (red) , Hunk Garrett (yellow), Lance McClain (blue) and little eleven-year-old Pidge Stoker (green). What they are about to return to is a home destroyed - the dreaded King Zarkon Daibazaal of Galra (AKA. Planet Doom) has just ordered his space fleet to provoke war between the districts of Olympus. Zarkon's evil has left the people of Olympus to die via a thermonuclear war. These images of catastrophe echo the fears of Earth during World War III.

3) Keith, Lance, Hunk and Sven are devastated, while Pidge is disgusted by the petty nature of fear Zarkon uses to force his enemies to annihilate each other in one cascade. The leveled cities and irradiated corpses mean there are few to no survivors currently to be found, and a Galran slaver ship soon catches sight of the Pioneer - drawing her in by tractor beam. Under the leadership of the Galran Drules' Supreme Commander Yurak, the slave ship departs Olympus to return to Galra with fresh slaves to be delivered for Emperor Zarkon and the Witch Queen Haggar's approval. On Galra, the five human space explorers watch helplessly as hapless prisoners including Hunk’s older sister Lisa are sent to the arena for gladiatorial combat which either way will result in their potential eventual demise.

4) Those prisoners ruthlessly slaughtered in the arena are to become food for Robeasts, and those prisoners who managed to survive are themselves turned into the bio-mechanical Robeasts for Zarkon to sic upon the galaxy. In their cell, Lance is about to go stir crazy when a female voice tells the five she may just be able to help them escape if they help her escape back to her home planet. Keith and Sven ask her who she is, and the voice is revealed to be that of the divinely beautiful Princess Allura Fala (pink) of planet Arus - now conquered and facing enslavement by the Galrans' imperial forces in this galaxy. Pidge, having been trained in the ways of ninjas, is able to jump with his agile and nimble body up to the bars over the cell windows to the outside. If they free others, they can flee.

5) On the night before Allura and the space explorers are to be sent into the arena, Pidge takes their rope made from rags, blankets and scraps of clothing up to the bars on the windows. Hunk is the first to climb up so he can bend and breaks the bars of the jail cell. After him, the others free a swarm of many other prisoners and climb up and out before the guards can report of a break. Sighting the Galran Vultures, the six escapees each grab on to the legs of a vulture and steer them down and away from the prison castle. Allura is the first to jump, and she makes a perfect landing in the dumping ground of dead prisoner skeletons stripped clean to the bone by the Robeasts. The five space explorers along with the escaping prisoners soon follow, and declare Zarkon will pay for his cruelty.

6) Allura, Keith, Sven, Lance, Hunk and Pidge; having made their escape, scurry across the dead plains of Galra to the airfield where a fleet of skull ships (Galran space battleships able to carry Stinger fighters) await to be launched. Knocking out a night guard guarding an armory, Allura takes a sword while the others grab guns and start shooting up the Ultra Black Corps troopers guarding the airfield and the skull ships. They manage to launch a skull ship and fire its heavy laser cannons at both Zarkon's castle and the remaining skull ships on the pad before lifting off into the sky. News of the prison break reaches Zarkon, who orders all capable ships to retrieve the missing skull ship, or failing that, blast it and its crew out of the stars. Yurak attempts to follow in his ship, but our heroes escape.

Act II

7) Making the jump to hyperskip, our heroes' skull ship comes under attack upon exiting hyperskip by a few remaining Stinger starfighters left behind to blockade any escaping space traffic from the planet below them. Allura plows the skull ship through the Stingers, but the ship is damaged and begins to fall out of the sky towards the surface of her home planet Arus - known in the ancient texts as Altea. In the moments before bailing out, Allura has Pidge send a coded signal to what she calls Castle Control on frequency 198.1 MHz - that the Princess is on her way home in a crashing Galran skull ship. Allura and the space explorers bail out and float down to land on the ground. Safe in a clearing, the six watch as the giant skull ship falls from the sky towards the bluest oceans of planet Arus.

8) The night soon begins to fall as Keith, Sven, Lance, Hunk and Pidge are led by Allura back to the source of Castle Control - the Castle of the Lions. Allura had been taken prisoner by the Galran Drules just one Earth week earlier by her own calculations, but the princess' safe return brings joy to her strategist Coran and handmaiden Nanny's hearts. Grateful to the five space explorers who aided Allura in her escape from Galra, Coran is the first to pledge whatever services he, Nanny and the people of Arus can provide. After the team introduces each member by their full names, Keith speaks up that he and his team would like to use the Castle and Arus as a base until they can find a way to defeat Zarkon. Upon hearing this, Coran leads them all into the lower chambers of the Castle.

9) Low yet eerie sounds echo and illuminate the lower chambers of the Castle of Lions as Nanny and Coran lead our six heroes down to the Royal Tomb. Trailing behind is a royal family of Arusian Space Mice with the father Chitter Platt, the mother Cheddar Chuchule, and their children made up of Cheeser, Cheesy, Pip, Squeak, Mousie, Prince, Toady, Inky and Suki watch as the humanoids uncover the sarcophagi of Allura's father King Alfor Ramon and his wife Queen Melenor. Chitter and Cheddar come up to sit on Allura's shoulders for comfort as Coran sadly recounts how Zarkon had betrayed her father Alfor, fought him in a sword fight for Lion Voltron, and murdered him and his wife Melenor. Zarkon, however, did not obtain his prize - Lion Voltron as the keys to the lions had disappeared.

10) Back on Galra, Yurak reports to Zarkon and Haggar that the stolen skull ship was ditched into the oceans of Arus and that its crew and passengers both have managed to survive bailing out. Instead of lashing out at his underling, Zarkon is lost in thought. He remembers that Arus is home to the one force in this galaxy that could defeat them - Lion Voltron. Haggar reveals to Yurak that Zarkon is an accomplished mecha pilot who in his days of youth tried to become the paladin to pilot the Black Lion of Sky and convert Lion Voltron to the Galran Drules' side. In a flash of inspiration, Zarkon has a new mission - let the escaped prisoners on Arus lead them to Lion Voltron, defeat them in battle, and claim Voltron for use by the Drule Empire. Yurak promises to bring the empire victory or die trying.

   11) Nanny continues on with telling the story that Coran had started down in the Royal Tomb of Arus to our heroes. When King Alfor died, he took the secret bayard keys to forming Lion Voltron with him and his wife Melenor to the grave so the Galran Drules could not get their hands on them. Alfor's last testament he gave to Nanny was that Allura and a team of space explorers would inherit and hopefully use the keys to the five lion robots that make up the Lion Voltron to battle the forces of evil threatening Arus when the princess came of age. Now that Allura is of age, she must lead Keith and his team across the lands of Arus to the five locations where a component lion of Voltron may be found. There are five keys that must reach their lion located in a distinct landmark of the planet.

Act III

12) Each member of the newly created Lion Voltron Force must bring a key to a certain cavern in which a lion resides, deliver the key to the lion, and pilot it back to the Castle of Lions. Keith is given the Key of Fire in which he must journey to the Volcano of Pyros to reactivate the Red Lion of Fire. Pidge is given the Key of Forest, so he must journey to the Forest of Arboria to recover the Green Lion of Forest. Hunk is given the Key of Earth and will need it to access the Canyon of Terrae to retrieve the Yellow Lion of Earth. Lance is entrusted with the Key of Water, so he must find the Lake of Volturnus and awaken the Blue Lion of Water. Allura will have to accompany Sven with the Key of Sky to recover the Black Lion of Sky from the Cliffs of Nephele as the Black Lion is the overall leader.

13) In front of legions of Ultra Black Corps shock troopers, companies of laser tanks, and fourteen Robeasts waiting to board the mighty fleet of skull ships, Yurak addresses his forces from his self-modeled Robeast. The mighty platoon of Robeasts known as the Batbeast, Dieklops, Exospike, Mogyula, Bokar Snake, Poison Bugblade, the Loathsome Lion, Buffaloon, twins Beyel and Zebub, the Deathsail, Mammoth, Armordillo and Evilroots lead all the assembled forces of the Galran Drules in cheering for Yurak and their battle. Proudly, Yurak proclaims that their victory shall be a day long remembered through history. With that, the Galran forces begin to load onto the skull ships to prepare for blastoff on the campaign to conquer Arus once and for all. Little do they know it is a death trap.

14) Coran dispatches teams of soldiers to head for the ocean where the skull ship was ditched as a distraction to any incoming forces of the Galran Drules who may try to stop the Lion Voltron Force from reaching the Lions in time. In the meantime, our heroes have suited and packed up their stuff to begin heading out on foot to journey across the ruins of the once proud, innocent and peaceful planet of Arus. Being armed only with a sidearm laser pistol and their keys that can turn into energy bayards which form weapons suited to the fighting style of the Lion Voltron paladins, our six heroes are really taking their chances. For you see, the Galran Drule space fleet has jumped through hyperskip to arrive on Arus' far side. The time to put the bayard keys to the test will soon be coming.

15) The air temperature is climbing rapidly as Keith braves the heat of lava flows and gulfs between cliff faces to navigate the area of the Volcano of Pyros to find the Red Lion. To keep from going crazy, he takes his friend Lance's advice and starts talking out loud to himself. Just then, the Loathsome Lion arrives and tries to trick Keith into coming towards it, but Keith activates some hidden power from within and sees through this attempt at deception and uses his bayard's energy sword to battle the Robeast and slay it. The blast flings Keith up and away into the volcano, but he is saved by Red Lion. In triumph, Keith boards the Red Lion and they together launch out of the volcano back for the Castle of Lions to find Dieklops leading a charge of soldiers and tanks towards it to launch an attack.

   16) Hunk, meanwhile, is getting a wonderful workout running and jumping from clifftop to clifftop across the Canyon of Terrae which reminds him of once going up and down El Capitan back on Earth. The lovable lug is already planning on cooking up a feast to celebrate the victory of his team against Zarkon's forces, but he still thinks of all the prisoners on Galra sent to die or become Robeasts, remembering their names and faces by heart. A break in his concentration comes with the arrival of the Deathsail ready to fight. In a jolt of speed, Hunk starts his bayard's energy cannon and fires off salvos at the Robeast to keep him away from the cavern where Yellow Lion is sleeping. With a mighty roar, Hunk arrives and uses Yellow Lion to destroy Deathsail before escaping.

Act IV

17) Seeing Red and Yellow Lions finish off their Robeasts and start back for the Castle now that Poison Bugblade is leading its charges in the surge forces Allura and Sven to hurry towards the Cliffs of Nephele where the Black Lion cavern is located. As they approach the Cliffs, a legion of Ultra Black Corps shock troops led by Exospike lands and attempts to shoot them down off the cliffs. Sven soon activates his bayard's energy sword to cut away at the shock troops while Allura lays down cover fire with her laser pistol. This is all they can do to safeguard the Black Lion. A flung spike from the Robeast injures Sven and Allura rushes to duel Exospike with the sword and kill the Robeast. Allura forces herself to carry the critically injured Sven over her shoulders towards the cavern of Black Lion.

18) In the meantime, the Arusian Special Forces have succeeded in reaching the ditched Galran skull ship, floating on the ocean near the castle. Aboard the ship, they manage to activate its defense turrets and torpedo launchers to keep the Galran Drule Stinger fighters from doing bombing runs on the Castle. A few more launch the downed skull ship's own Stingers to conduct a Trojan horse attack on Yurak's leading skull ship to assist the Lion Voltron Force. The attack costs them their lives, but it does manage to cripple the skull ship and force Yurak to board his Robeast and lead four others in abandoning ship for their attack on the surface. He sees Red and Yellow Lions attacking his Robeasts as he charges forward. Seeing the Lions return makes Yurak lose his composure.

19) Volturnus Lake is a welcome sight as Lance makes a mad dash for it as he sees shock troops being dropped along with Bokar Snake to fight it out. In a fit of retribution-seeking adrenaline for all those Zarkon has made suffer in the arena, Lance lays down the law with his bayard's energy rifle on the swarm of the shock troops before giving a face full of fire right into Bokar Snake. He spots Blue Lion resting in the lake and makes a dive for it just before things can get even more out of control than they have already. During the swim down towards the cockpit of the Blue Lion, Lance tries to calm himself and telepathically bond with the lion before boarding and reactivating it. With that, they see Buffaloon and his forces on the move and they shoot to the rescue in order to protect the Castle of Lions.

20) At least Pidge is grateful for the cover that the dense brush of trees in the Forest of Arboria is providing as he scurries his way for the cavern of the Green Lion. Evilroots barely manages to cut through the treeline before Pidge activates his bayard's angular katar to go one on one with the toxic Robeast and become a true eco-warrior and tree hugger. In a burst of natural inspiration, Pidge uses the bayard katar's shock prod ability to set the Evilroots on fire when he reaches a safe clearing before darting away into the cavern. Here, he and Green Lion finally get acquainted before he boards the Lion. Pidge and Green Lion see the Mammoth charging for the Castle of Lions as they attempt to race back and head off the opposing forces. Now all they need is the Black Lion to help them.

21) The Castle of Lions fights back against Armordillo, but tanks and soldiers are moving in for the attack. Inside the cavern of Black Lion, Allura holds the key up to the lion-shaped robot. The Black Lion welcomes her and tells the princess it has been awaiting the day she would come of age and be ready to pilot it and lead the Lion Voltron Force to victory over evil once again. Seeing the fleet of Galran starships approaching orbit of Arus and the four other lions in need of help fighting the Robeast army, Allura rushes Sven into Black Lion. With Sven safely aboard in the passenger compartment, Allura scurries to the cockpit and inputs the key to launch Black Lion out and into the skies of Arus to join the others in battle. With a mighty roar, the Black Lion shoots out into the skies.

Act V

22) Keith and the other space explorers are surprised by Allura showing up in Black Lion to rescue them. Coran has to prevent Nanny from losing it. Now it becomes a real battle as the five lions fly up to cripple Yurak's space fleet and crash it down to Arus. Swooping back down to the planet, they see only four Robeasts left along with Yurak and the self-modeled Robeast he pilots. This is the signal Allura takes so to call for the paladins to form Lion Voltron. Activating interlocks, connecting their dynotherms, bringing up their infracells, and setting their mega-thrusters to go; the Lion Voltron Force is go to form and battle evil. Allura's Black Lion forms the body and head, Keith's Red and Pidge's Green form the arms, and Lance's Blue and Hunk's Yellow form the feet and legs.

23) The sight of the Lions coming together to form Lion Voltron both stuns and horrifies Yurak and his few surviving Robeasts. Over subspace radio, Allura offers one last chance for Yurak to surrender and receive a fair and public trial for his crimes. Yurak denounces this compassion as a deathly weakness and instead charges with his Robeasts towards our heroes, forcing a combined Eye Beam and Lion Torch attack on Beyel. Zebub locks in a struggle with Voltron so he can avenge his brother, but gets a mouthful of Sting Ray Missiles. Batbeast goes for a bite of Voltron, but a combined Electro-Force Cross and Ion Darts blows him to kingdom come. A Lion Head Attack takes out Mogyula while a flung Spinning Space Blade hits the Galran Drule ships still in orbit with no air cover.  

24) Now trapped on Arus and without much fuel to make it out of the Arusian system, Yurak draws his Robeast's energy sword as he alone is in a position to take down Lion Voltron mano-a-mano. Allura and the team then draw out Lion Voltron's Blazing Sword, ready to fend off an attack. Changing tactics, Yurak calms his Robeast down and contacts Lion Voltron over subspace radio in order to use his enemies’ weakness against them. Speaking softly but firmly, Yurak orders the Lion Voltron Force to set the Blazing Sword down, step away from it, and he may show clemency if they surrender. Allura is not buying it, as she and the team still have the images of the cruelty of Zarkon and his followers fresh in their minds, causing Lion Voltron to charge their foe with the Blazing Sword.

25) Yurak holds out as long as he can, loudly berating our heroes for their acts of cowardice and betrayal of the empire, but he is no match for Voltron. Lion Voltron and its pilots escape the blast radius just in time before Yurak and his Robeast explode in a mighty conflagration as he curses their names for eternity. With the destruction of both the Galran space forces in orbit and the Galran land forces under Yurak's command, cheers of the grateful survivors of Arus echo across the planet for Voltron. Meanwhile, Sven is still badly wounded and close to the point of dying, so Allura then orders Coran to send for a transport to carry Sven back to Galaxy Garrison on Earth for critical treatment before it is too late. (In the Japanese version, Sven or Takashi actually dies and is laid to rest).

   26) With how wonderfully Allura led the Lion Voltron Force to victory over Yurak, Nanny reluctantly allows Allura to become the leader of the Lion Voltron Force with Keith and the others' blessings. But Nanny still wishes to be able to protect the Princess if need be, which means Allura is forced into the unenviable position of reactivating Nanny's commission with the Arusian Special Forces - effectively drafting her Nanny back into service! With a little time to celebrate, the people of Arus gather in the Castle of Lions in salute of their heroes. Allura leads Keith, Lance, Hunk and Pidge down in a procession to where they are awarded medals for their heroism. With her royal sword, Allura knights herself and her teammates as the paladins of Lion Voltron Force as the gathered masses cheer.

Epilogue (Preview Summary for Lion Voltron II: Prince Lotor Unleashed)

27) And with the final defeat of the dreaded Supreme Commander Yurak; the names of Voltron, Lion Voltron and planet Arus would again strike fear in the hearts of the Drule Empire and its Denubian Galaxy vassals the Galrans. Even so, Zarkon's enigmatic son Prince Lotor Sincline is determined to make a name for himself and claim Princess Allura as his bride. On Tuesday, Keith parks his motorcycle behind the museum, five minutes before seven AM. Inside the giant dome-shaped building, empty of visitors, he feels like a ghost. His sneakers with their peeling soles squeak all the way down the entrance steps, up the fire escape, and down the hallway of the office wing.

“So you’re the young man who will be working with us this week,” says the floor manager, a red-haired man with a handlebar mustache named Mr. Coran, from behind his desk. In his tone, Keith feels the implied invitation to sit in the visitor’s chair. He doesn’t.

The worst Voltron fic ever fam part 3

Keef and his depressed bisexual piece of shit decide they only need one Shiro on the ship and go to fuck shit up fam. Shay is trying not to die but Hunk trips and space goo is everywhere and some gets on the space lesbians (including Shay) so her bro has a fucking brain bleed cause his sister has been assaulted by food. Allura and her lady squad go to Shay because more space girls is always better. The two Shiros are now in love cause its not problematic if you date yourself. Keef is pissed cause they are gonna get married before him and his trash can do, so he must get revenge and he gets a pair of safety scissors and runs to them bois. The two Shiros are both in matching wedding dresses crying cause they look so beautiful and Keef runs up to then and remembers that he can't lead Voltron and tells them to shut up and kiss already and they do. Everyone is crying cause its a beautiful wedding but the poor grooms bride is a whore. After every one dabs them dank ass tears away they all eat cake that Hunk had made in case anyone fell in love. The fake Shiro throws the space flowers and that buff galra lady beats the shit out of anyone who tries to get it from her, she later give it to Shay cause the more space lesbians the better. Coran decides it the perfect time to announce that he's gonna marry his mustache and the two Shiros start crying cause they knew it was gon happen and everyone is happy cause it was a great wedding and the space dads are real good in they dresses.

Story Treatment

The Logline

In the Middle Universe, three teenagers on planet Albega find three giant humanoid robots for a science fair project competition. They then find they have found the Gladiator Voltron that protected Albega in the past, and they now must pilot Voltron to stop the One Empire of the Derinja.

Main Characters

1) DIEGO ♂ - Age: 14. Full Name: Diego Daisaku Enjoji Rodriguez. Species: Terran. Homeworld: Aoba City, Planet Albega (Earth colony in the Hyperion Galaxy/Middle Universe). Physical Features: A Human phenotype with an age-appropriate height, Brown eyes, Olive skin tone, Round human ears, Black hair in a layered shag style, and age-appropriate register of voice. Diego lives with his mother Valentine on Albega, and is just starting to come out of his shell after his father died in a household accident. His aptitude with technology and even preference for trying to employ creative strategies to defeat anyone who threatens him and his friends makes him the perfect pilot for the Black Alpha of Wisdom. 2) JACOBY ♂ - Age: 14. Full Name: Jacoby Tetsuya Jin Scott. Species: Terran. Homeworld: Aoba City, Planet Albega (Earth colony in the Hyperion Galaxy/Middle Universe). Physical Features: A Human phenotype with an age-appropriate height, Blue eyes, Caucasian skin tone, Round human ears, Brown hair in a Pompadour style, and age-appropriate register of voice. Jacoby is seen as this bike-riding "big man on campus", but he is somewhat jealous of the family that both Diego and Alexis have as he lost his parents at a young age, with him having to live on his own for a while. In battle, the Blue Beta of Courage chooses him for his wild streak and willingness to fight for what truly is right. 3) ALEXIS ♀ - Age: 14. Full Name: Alexis Hotaru Mizuki Vekoma. Species: Terran. Homeworld: Aoba City, Planet Albega (Earth colony in the Hyperion Galaxy/Middle Universe). Physical Features: A Human phenotype with an age-appropriate height, Green eyes, Caucasian skin tone, Round human ears, Light Brown hair in a Hime style, and age-appropriate register of voice. Alexis may seem like a regular girl's girl at first glance, but she has no patience for bullies picking on others which makes her at times violent. Her immense drive for a good fight to test herself outweighed by her penchant for trying to help out anyone feeling down is what destines her to pilot the Red Gamma of Compassion. 4) RODRIGUEZ ♀ - Age: 35. Full Name: Valentine Saeko Asabuki Rodriguez. Species: Terran. Homeworld: Aoba City, Planet Albega (Earth colony in the Hyperion Galaxy/Middle Universe). Physical Features: A Human phenotype with a medium-tall build, Brown eyes, Olive skin tone, Round human ears, Brown hair in a Pageboy style, and medium register voice. Valentine lives with her son Diego and has to pull long shifts at work to provide for her son ever since her husband died in a household accident. It is she who told her son the story of how Gladiator Voltron saved Albega back in the distant past. When it seems as though Voltron is returning, she joins the Alliance to help her son fight the Derinja. 5) WILSON ♂ - Age: 15. Full Name: Riley Goro Kumai Wilson. Species: Terran. Homeworld: New Harlem, Planet Albega (Earth colony in the Hyperion Galaxy/Middle Universe). Physical Features: A Human phenotype with an age-appropriate height and robust build, Brown eyes, Dark Brown skin tone, Round human ears, Brown hair in an Afro style, and age-appropriate register of voice. At first, he is the link between the three heroes (Diego, Jacoby and Alexis) and their fellow classmates, teachers and their family - the civilian world. Riley is the first to encourage them to compete in the robotics tournament which leads to them discovering Gladiator Voltron, and he becomes their tech support in mission control. 6) VEKOMA ♂ - Age: 42. Full Title: Professor Jonathan Mizuki Vekoma, dean of Science at Aoba High School. Species: Terran. Homeworld: Aoba City, Planet Albega (Earth colony in the Hyperion Galaxy/Middle Universe). Physical Features: A Human phenotype with a medium-tall, Green eyes, Caucasian skin tone, Round human ears, Dark Grey hair with a light mustache, and low-medium register voice. In his approach to science, Vekoma is more of a hands-on kind of professor, wanting to nurture students' curiosity by showing results of science and technology in action. Helping to rebuild his daughter Alexis, Jacoby and Diego's robots after sabotage, he helps them recover and form the Gladiator Voltron. 7) ZAMAN ♀ - Age: 35. Full Title: Professor Jennifer Danko Kibi Zaman - Associate Dean of the Aoba High School Science Department. Species: Terran. Homeworld: Aoba City, Planet Albega (Earth colony in the Hyperion Galaxy/Middle Universe). Physical Features: A Human phenotype with a medium-tall build, Blue eyes, Caucasian skin tone, Round human ears, Blonde hair in a medium-length straight style, and low-medium register voice.  She mostly teaches lecture-based science and technology classes, tends to be more stern and strict with her students, and is apparently only behind Vekoma in status at Aoba High. But when Gladiator Voltron is needed, she is one of our heroes' strongest supporters.

The Background

Long in the past of the Hyperion Galaxy, the three-piece fighting humanoid robot known as Gladiator Voltron was known as Albegas by the peoples of the planets the robot visited. Albegas or Gladiator Voltron was a sentient being, renown across the galaxy for its feats of heroism and bravery. Ultimately, this led to Voltron developing something of an ego, as it challenged both the wicked Overlord of planet Deram and the goddess Rhea to battle it for supremacy in the galaxy. Rhea, having sensed the egotism brewing in Gladiator Voltron/Albegas out of simple ignorance of its own power and not out of sinister malice, defeated but spared the robot as she pondered what punishment would do it best. In a rage, the Deram Overlord disguised himself as Rhea and tried to destroy Voltron while succeeding at slaying Rhea. With her last acts, Rhea managed to save Gladiator Voltron/Albegas by splitting it back up into its three component humanoid robots - the Black Alpha of Wisdom, the Red Gamma of Compassion, and the Blue Beta of Bravery - that when all are combined together do they form Voltron. They were flung through space until they crash-landed on Albega, there to spend a great deal of time defending it from the forces of evil in the Hyperion Galaxy until some force caused it to go into dormancy until the time was right. Now the time has come for Gladiator Voltron's return to battle the Derinja. The Premise

It is said that the Gladiator Voltron Force story arc of Voltron: Defender of the Universe would have been adapted from the 1983 anime series Lightspeed Electroid Albegas - but was to be adapted to be part of a much bigger storyline. Here, the Voltron story takes on a more urban fantasy/mecha science fiction as even though it is set on an Earth colony planet in the Hyperion Galaxy, the overall locale would not seem that far off from anything on contemporary Earth. Taking the team of heroes premises of the Japanese Super Sentai/Power Rangers series, the teen high school dramedy of Mean Girls, and the appeal of robots found in both the Gundam and Transformers franchises, Voltron is ready to launch. In this four-quadrant five-act mecha science fiction epic, three very talented teenage students named Diego, Jacoby and Alexis go to Aoba High School in the year 2981. Alexis' father is the well-regarded science teacher Professor Vekoma who is chairing the upcoming science fair and robot battle. On a hiking trip with their friend Riley Wilson to find ideas for both the science fair and robot battle, the three find a trio of giant humanoid robots buried in a cave. Bringing them back to Vekoma, the three teens soon discover the robots are able to join together to form the mythical Gladiator Voltron - Defender of the Middle Universe. Can they join together to stop a Derinja attack that threatens their planet? The Nemeses

Aside from normal human squabbles and quandaries that face three teens trying to survive, Gladiator Voltron and its team of pilots have to contend with the new horrible menace threatening the Hyperion Galaxy. Many of the Derinja Drules of Planet Deram takes on a dark cult-like atmosphere that reeks of Jonestown, the Branch Davidians and their like. Most of the Drules are humanoids with light purple skin and red eyes. With fleets of starfighters and space battleships; as well as armies of tanks, super soldiers and Robeast mecha monsters, Derinja Drules are aimed at making the Drule Empire a major if not the only superpower in the Hyperion Galaxy, with only Voltron daring to stand in their way. 1) AZ'A ♂ - Age: Late 40s/Early 50s. Species: Derinja Drule. Homeworld: Deram. Eye Color: Red. His full title is Emperor Az'A of the Planet Deram. Emperor Az'A is a strong worshiper of the deity present across his entire planet, known only as the Deram Overlord, and is devoted to conquering the world and ruling it in the Overlord's name. He is highly devoted to the cult of personality that his people grow and till around him, and wishes to make them, and himself, all-powerful. Proclaiming himself as a savior, he enjoys, and is happy to cause, the suffering of others, sacrificing innocents in horrific ways, torturing enemies and brainwashing them into becoming subordinates and enslaving other races. 2) ROBEASTS - Wherever one goes in the Empires of the Drules, there will always be such things as Robeasts to challenge the Voltrons and threaten the peace of the Near, Middle and Far Universes. Robeasts from Planet Deram sent to battle the Gladiator Voltron are the humanoid monsters created through advanced science and technology, most often from prisoners of war that are reared in Lord Az'A's cruel gladiatorial combat, though some of them are simply giant robots piloted by Spartan troopers. A platoon of fifteen robeasts is ready at a moments notice to travel with fighters, tanks, space battleships and Spartan trooper armies to lay siege to Voltron and or whatever may get in their Empire's way. 3) BI'OS ♂ - Age: Late 60s. Species: Derinja Drule. Homeworld: Deram. Eye Color: Red. Hair Color: White. His full title is Vizier Bi'Os of the Planet Deram, intending to inherit the throne after the coup he is planning takes place. As he only kowtows to the Overlord of Deram, it is often rumored that Bi'Os is the one stroking Az'A's ego to throw him off the scent of Bi'Os' own attempted bids at becoming Emperor of the Derinja Drules. A natural-born kiss-up and backstabber, he lives for nothing more than destroying any "invaders" that could make a pass at the Empire and generally making the Derinja Military and other Drule forces out to look like fools, imbeciles and other pejorative words not to be listed. 4) SPARTANS - Say hello to the mixed organic and cybernetic shock troopers of the Derinja. They serve as the backbone of the Derinja military forces. Their drones have no built in weapons, instead using the same weapons as their organic counterparts. Drones are capable of squad-level infantry tactics and understanding vocal commands. These androids can somewhat resemble fellow Drules, appearing to wear this green-purple armor. In fact, some of the living soldiers appear identical to their own Drones. In addition, Derinja Drones can be used for scouting environments full of every kind of hazards, are more durable, and have no fear of utter destruction to claim victory for Emperor Az'A's nation. 5) DUST'OX ♂ - Age: 40s. Species: Derinja Drule. Homeworld: Deram. Eye Color: Red. Hair Color: White. His full title is Gunnery Sergeant (or General) Dust'Ox of the Deram Forces. He is quite the sadistic, leather-lunged and powerful fighter who willfully kills and berates anyone who gets in his way. His loyalty to Deram's Overlord and Az'A, as well as adherence to military hierarchy is without question and only obeys the commands given to him. His aggressive fighting style relies primarily on the use of his strong limbs, an energy sword and terrifying piercing claws. He is also athletic, able to dodge and move around quickly to evade attacks. This is despite his large size, topping at about eight feet.

The Heroes and the Twist

We first meet Alexis, Diego and Jacoby in their 9th grade science class at Aoba High School on planet Albega. Before that, the three often ran into each other and kept eyes on each other from afar without the others knowing. Later, they become teenage versions of the Kirk (Ego), the Spock (Superego) and the McCoy (Id) triumvirate so often found in analysis of the Freudian psyche. Deep down, they would sacrifice their lives for each other, but they sometimes have petty squabbles and do not always trust each other. But the discovery and reactivation of Gladiator Voltron with the three as its pilots forces them to take charge so to become the super force of space explorers prophesied to save Albega. The Story Breakdown

Prologue

1) From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the Universe, comes a legend. The legend of the Voltrons: Defenders of the Universe. Three mighty robots, loved by good, feared by evil. As the Voltrons' legend grew, peace settled across the galaxies. On Planet Earth, a Galaxy Alliance was formed. Together with the good planets of our Solar System, they maintained peace throughout the Universe until new, horrible menaces threatened the galaxies. The Voltrons are needed once more. This is the story of the super force of space explorers. Specially trained, entrusted and sent by the Alliance with the ancient secrets of how to assemble and restore, Gladiator Voltron: Defender of the Middle Universe.

Act I

2) We open on the bedrooms of 14-year-old students Diego Rodriguez, Jacoby Scott and Alexis Vekoma as alarm clock bells ring. They are waking up on their very first Monday of the September equivalent - marking the start of their high school days. Alexis washes her hair in the shower, Diego brushes his teeth and tries to find clothes for the day, and Jacoby finishes combing his wet hair as he scurries to get dressed and head down for breakfast. The three are soon out the door and walking towards their secondary education institution - Aoba High School. Even as the morning sun breaks, we see something out of the ordinary - two moons remain in the sky and are setting toward the western area.

3) Diego arrives in his homeroom class taught by the associate science professor Jennifer Zaman. Another boy named Riley Wilson who attends classes with Diego, Alexis and Jacoby - but not all three at once - decides he should help out the three who feel lost and alone on their first day of high school. Lunch soon comes, and Diego finds a place to sit by himself as a social wallflower and self-perceived outcast in the cafeteria. Alexis comes to join him followed by Jacoby as they soon introduce themselves to each other and find that the three of them perceive themselves as the outcasts and drink to their independence from the many stereotypical yet with some truth cliques common to high school.

4) Far away on the dark and spooky planet of Deram, Emperor Az'A leads a mass of his followers in worship of the planet's deity - the Grand Overlord of Deram. They chant and bow in admiration for the Overlord when Az'A's personal Vizier known as Bi'Os reports one of their skull ships (space battleships able to carry Stinger fighters) has returned with slaves and sacrifices for the Overlord. Pleased with the announcement, Az'A orders a slave be brought in for his approval. After seeing the prisoner and removing the beating heart from him, the Derinja Emperor orders the now-heartless prisoner be lowered into the lava pit for the Overlord to receive. He and his followers cackle wildly at the spectacle.

5) The shrieking cackles of the Derinja, a vassal faction of the Drule Empire in the Galaxy Alliance echo across the Hyperion Galaxy back all the way to Albega. It is back at the high school that we find Alexis in the middle of a heated tennis practice session just as her coach calls for the team to hit the showers and prepare for their next class. While all the other classes have been somewhat humdrum for Alexis, Diego and Jacoby; the science and technology class taught by Alexis' father Professor Jonathan Vekoma is shaping up to be nothing short of riveting and meaningful. Vekoma's hands-on and practical approaches to science win his students over, but Diego is lost in something of a hidden funk.

6) Back at Diego's house that night, Diego is just about to turn in when he looks at a framed picture on his bedside nightstand. As he looks, tears come to his eyes. The picture is of his family which includes his father who was killed in a nasty accident four years before this moment. His mother Valentine Rodriguez comes in to say good night when she sees her son reminiscing. She hugs Diego and tells him she misses her husband and his father too. Hoping to help her son be able to get through the night, for now, Valentine sits by Diego's bed and begins retelling the story of how the mighty robot Albegas - or Gladiator Voltron - was humbled and then returned to save Albega in the past to her little boy.

Act II

  7) What a coincidence is is that the night Valentine tells Diego the story of Gladiator Voltron that Emperor Az'A chuckles that not even the titular mighty robot will be able to return to stand against the Derinja. His cackling is soon caught by a transmission from across space in the Milky Way Galaxy - from Chief Commander Hazar Dorita Teles of the Drule Empire himself! Az'A, Bi'Os and Dust'Ox listen intently as Hazar delivers a stern warning to them that to underestimate the mighty robot Voltron will be their utter doom, for he should know thanks to the recent fall of his underling and rival Commander Zabar. Dust'Ox declares that the planet of Albega will make a perfect target for destruction.

8) Later that week on the first Friday of that month, Alexis is stirred to hear Professor Vekoma announce the winter science fair and robotics tournament. Teams of three students will build three robots to compete against other teams' trios of robots in battles for prizes and a chance to win free tuition to the college, university or academy of the winning team's choice. Diego, Jacoby and Alexis are assigned to be one team by recommendation of Riley. The field trip up to the San Rialto Mountains arranged by Professors Vekoma and Zaman to learn about the symbiotic nature of the water, rocks and plants will be the perfect time to the three to get ideas on what to create for the science fair robot tournament.

9) The following Wednesday; Alexis, Diego and Jacoby are on their way with their classmates and science professors to the San Rialto range for their field trip. When the three see one of the cheerleaders wanting to pick on some of the shyer girls in the class, Jacoby and Diego futilely try to restrain Alexis from getting violent with the cheerleader. Coming to the shy girls' defense, Alexis is made the new target of the stuck up cheerleader's scorn as she declares Alexis as deserving of staying an outcast as much as the shy girls next to them. Simply shrugging off her rival's taunts, Alexis moves the shy girls away from the bus while backhandedly flipping the middle finger in the direction of the cheerleader.

10)  In front of legions of Derinja Spartan troopers, companies of laser tanks, and fourteen Robeasts waiting to board the mighty fleet of skull ships, Dust'Ox addresses his forces from his Robeast Reptoking. The Robeasts known as Octovore, Mechabeak, Demoncrab, Scalestrike, Death Hornet, Yellow Belly, Death Mantis, Hypnokiller, Hornback, Kingfish, Roachman, Dinoslasher, Mantaray and Dire Spider lead the legions of Spartans in cheering for Dust'Ox and their battle. Proudly, Dust'Ox proclaims their victory shall be a day remembered through history. With that, the Derinja forces begin to load onto the skull ships to prepare for blastoff on the campaign to conquer planet Albega once and for all.

11) Jacoby spots a mysterious trio of caverns as the students and Professor Vekoma pass them. Eager to find out what is buried in them, Jacoby calls for Diego and Alexis to follow him to the caverns. They are different because they have symbols carved outside their arches of entry - A for Alpha, B for Beta and Γ for Gamma. Inside each is a giant humanoid machine, all in a state of dormancy. The three rush back to Professor Vekoma and Professor Zaman to bring them to analyze their findings. As the students are unperturbed by the caverns but in awe at the machines inside, Vekoma tasks Diego, Jacoby and his daughter Alexis to climb inside these machines and see what exactly they are.

Act III

12) Diego climbs into the cockpit of the black robot in the Alpha Cavern, Jacoby takes the blue robot in the Beta Cavern, and Alexis chooses to examine the red robot in the Gamma Cavern. Seating themselves inside, they turn the controls thinking the machines are still dormant. This, however, causes the ground to shake and the caverns to collapse - but not before the students and teachers evacuate the caverns. Vekoma and Zaman watch as the three robots come together to form one giant robot (Red forming the forward legs, lower torso, lower backpack and hip; Blue the torso midriff, aft legs and upper backpack; and Black the head, upper torso, arms, hands and upper legs) amazing the others.

13) Back on planet Deram, Az'A and Bi'Os are in a temple dedicated to the Overlord as they bow and chant their dark hymns down into the deity present across their world. The two Derinja Drules vow that Albega shall fall within the next few Earth days and become theirs to exploit all they please, but the Overlord cautions them not to be so overconfident and take the advice of Commander Hazar. If there is even a ghost of a chance that some force like Voltron could return, through willful or ignorant underestimation will Voltron bring irreparable ruin to the Derinja and the Drule Empire. In response, Az'A promises to destroy Voltron and stir more chaos to help the Overlord grow to overpower the Drules.

14) The other students and the professors are both amazed and confused as Alexis and Jacoby are at a loss for words. Diego, however, is blown away with excitement and ecstasy that one of his childhood bedtime stories has come true. He cannot contain his enthusiasm as he calls out over megaphone that they found the perfect robots for the science fair's tournament - Gladiator Voltron. With such a thought in her mind, Alexis asks her father the professor if they could fly the robots back and meet the rest of the class back at the school - to which Vekoma says yes, but the robots will need further analysis after school. Disassembling Voltron, the three students fly the robots back to Aoba High School.

15) Valentine Rodriguez has gotten the day off from work to pick up Diego from school that day when she sees the three giant robots flying down toward the school that seem to have appeared out of the bedtime story she told her son. Climbing down out of his black robot, Diego rushes into his mother's arms with the biggest smile on his face she has seen in over four years and excitedly tells Valentine that the legend of Gladiator Voltron has turned out true. Valentine is simply dumbfounded as Diego introduces his new friends Alexis and Jacoby to her and they are called to the large science lab the size of the nearby open air gym hall where the robots land on their feet and await the professor's work.

16) Hyperskip exit signatures are the only confirmation to the Galaxy Alliance-built early warning and defense satellites in orbit of planet Albega that the One Empire of the Derinja - the Drule Empire's Hyperion Galaxy branch - are making their move. Dust'Ox orders his Spartan troopers to the drop ships and Stinger fighters to destroy the satellites and make haste for the planet. Down on the planet at Aoba High, our heroes are watching and listening intently with Riley as Professors Zaman and Vekoma try to analyze the robot Gladiators. Suddenly, the robot Gladiators' cockpit eye shields glow as they kneel down to face their human onlookers. The spirit of Voltron speaks to them via telepathic links.

Act IV

17) Diego, Jacoby and Alexis are stunned to find that it was not sheer fate that brought them to Voltron, but certain traits about them that made them worthy in the eyes of the robots they found. Diego is shown to have a knack for technology and an ability to think up the craftiest solutions to seemingly intractable problems - which make him perfect to pilot the Black Alpha Gladiator of Wisdom. Jacoby's inner bravery that forces him to fight for what is right, and his ever wild streak have marked him to be the Blue Beta Gladiator of Courage's pilot. Finally, Alexis is chosen by the Red Gamma Gladiator of Compassion for her empathy and care for fellow humans to get everyone their own happily ever after.

18) Alexis walks over to her father as Riley and Zaman communicate with the Gladiators. Having heard the story of how Gladiator Voltron, once known as Albegas, was brought down and then tricked by the Overlord of Deram; our heroes suddenly get nervous about the prospects of real fighting and try to book it out of there. The Gladiators tell Diego's mother Valentine and Alexis' father Professor Vekoma that their children will soon see the need for Voltron and to just give them a little time. In the meantime, Dust'Ox is leading his strike platoon from his Reptoking Robeast to attack the cities surrounding the Aoba district. Buildings are collapsing and people are being shot in the streets by Spartan troops.

19) The news of the attack on Albega reaches both the Galaxy Alliance and the Drule Empire. At Galaxy Garrison on Earth, Star Marshal Matthew Satoru Wasaka Graham contacts Captain Newley aboard the Explorer to return to the planet and deliver a space fleet to Albega to see what they can do to stop the Derinja in their tracks. In the meantime, Commander Hazar contacts his liaison in the Drules' Denubian Galaxy jurisdiction - King Zarkon Daibazaal, ruler of the Galran Empire of the Drules on Galra or Planet Doom. Zarkon is utterly enraptured and a little jealous that he himself could not lead the charge on Albega, but Hazar warns him that the Gladiator Voltron is on the planet ready to fight.

20) Not wanting to be forced into a dangerous war; our heroes rush out of the gym to the field in a panicked hysteria with Riley barely able to keep up with them and trying to bring them back. They soon see a Derinja drop ship landing on the field with Spartan troopers to seize all in their way. Instinctual fight or flight kicks in as the four students find themselves surrounded. This time, they choose to fight back and start giving the Spartans hell by doing gymnastics and martial arts moves on their tormentors. When three Spartans grab Riley and try to carry him away; Alexis, Diego and Jacoby grab the commanders' swords and start cutting down the enemy soldiers to save the friend who united them.

21) Heavy laser fire from approaching skull ships rocks the ground and causes earthquakes in a perimeter around Aoba City and many of the surrounding suburban areas. The quakes are even felt at the school. The air raid sirens sound, and the news reports of Derinja forces attacking other cities on Albega calls for serious action. Diego, Alexis and Jacoby choose to suit up and fight with their Gladiators to save both themselves and the planet that is their home. They rush to their Gladiators and initiate their launch procedures. Vekoma, Zaman, Riley and Valentine rush to the underground cellars of Aoba High where a secret Galaxy Alliance control room had been built in the event of planetary emergencies.

Act V

22) Diego, Jacoby and Alexis (in that order) launch their respective Gladiators from Aoba High School toward the downtown area to save the planet if they can. In the control room, Riley detects Drule-allied Stinger fighters of the Derinja coming down to strafe the city, which forces the three to use their robots' laser cannons to shoot down the enemy starfighters before they reach their target. Zaman arrives in the control room and reports that Derinja skull ships are preparing to deploy laser tanks to the surface. The three strafe the skull ships and bring them down just outside the downtown area. Now it is just the Robeasts trapped on the planet in the downtown area left for the Gladiators to contend with.

23) The Gladiator Voltron Force arrives in downtown Aoba City and gets to work battling the Robeasts. Valentine, Zaman, Riley and Vekoma watch from the control room at the school and call out tactical commands to get an edge on the Derinja forces. Alexis takes the Red Gamma against the Scalestrike, Hypnokiller and Demoncrab Robeasts; Diego and the Black Alpha go one-on-three against Mechabeak, Dire Spider and Yellow Belly; while Jacoby plunges forward with the Blue Beta on the Roachman, Dinoslasher and Death Mantis while trying to avoid destroying buildings and other civilian property that could result in the deaths of innocent people. Just barely, they are able to take the Robeasts down.

24) Only Octovore, Mantaray, Kingfish, Hornback, Death Hornet and Dust'Ox in Reptoking are left to challenge the three. This is the signal Diego takes to call for forming Voltron. Activating interlocks, connecting their dynotherms, bringing up their infracells, and setting their mega-thrusters to go; the Gladiator Voltron Force is go to form and battle. The sight of the Gladiators coming together to form Gladiator Voltron stuns and horrifies Dust'Ox and his few surviving Robeasts. Octovore, Mantaray and Kingfish find themselves on the wrong end of the Electroid Arrow Bows that Jacoby through Voltron fires. Our heroes soon close in on and destroy Death Hornet and Hornback with the Solar Spear Trident.

25) Dust'Ox prepares to charge as Gladiator Voltron ignites and forms its Blazing Sword. News of Dust'Ox's impending defeat reaches the Drule Homeworld as Commander Hazar monitors the battle closely. Hazar knows the return of any Voltron will be certain doom for the Drule Empire. Simply trusting in both themselves and the spirits of their machines; Alexis, Diego and Jacoby telepathically compel Voltron to surge ahead sword first and slash right through Dust'Ox. Voltron then pumps its fists as Dust'Ox and his Robeast explode behind them. As soon as the All Clear signal is given, the students and teachers of Aoba High School rush out to cheer for Alexis, Diego and Jacoby saving their planet.

26) A Galaxy Alliance representative, Deputy Star Marshal Willard Tosuke Dewa Steele, arrives in front of Aoba High School aboard a shuttle arranged by the Vehicle Voltron Force. Steele congratulates Professor Vekoma on locating Gladiator Voltron and staging a brilliant defense of Albega from the Derinja forces of the Drule Empire. But credit must go where it is due, as Steele congratulates our heroes on pulling together to prove themselves worthy of joining the Galaxy Alliance and the Voltron Forces. Diego, Alexis and Jacoby raise their right hands and jump for joy in celebration that they are now the Gladiator Voltron Force that protects the Middle Universe as the camera freezes on them mid-jump.

Epilogue (Preview Summary for Gladiator Voltron II: Sword of the Damocles)

27) And with the defeat of Gunnery Sergeant Dust'Ox; the names of Voltron, Gladiator Voltron and Albega would once again strike fear in the hearts of the Drule Empire and its Hyperion Galaxy vassals the Derinja. Even so, Professor Vekoma is determined to be able to locate and destroy the Derinja's secret orbital headquarters as well as free the people of Deram from Az'A and the Overlord's control before enlisting the help of the Galaxy Alliance to destroy Deram. In the meantime, the three pilots of Gladiator Voltron try to parlay their newfound fame into helping out their friends and family while exploring themselves. But the Derinja Commander Da'Ri and Vizier Bi'Os have an ace in the hole...
