#in other news#my dnd campaign had its last session yesterday and Uh.#so basically everything that xiaogui (sān) ever knew was made up by its mind to cope with grief and trauma but made real by magic#the people who raised it the shop it grew up in#which I DID NOT KNOW#THE DM WAITED 7 MONTHS FOR THE REVEAL#and then it had it all taken away#and xiaogui's whole character is built around it being unable to categorise itself as a person because it grew up as a part of a hivemind#and now the hivemind is gone and its mind is empty#and its patron is gone and ough#everyone else had a happy ending and they got an emotional existential and identity crisis#and this was all told in the last 10 minutes of the session#God.#in other news in the epilogue it's basically the critter william and his husband (because william got married!!) bring with them everywhere#just the third guy whos not part of the relationship but just there#dnd#it's been A While since i talked about the campaign lol#kinda crazy that it's over :')#con rambles
