if im being totally honest with myself, i think the show in it's totality would've been best if it had ended right after Matryoshka. Not that there haven't had fun or sincere or interesting or unsettling episodes since then, but it was both the last finale i really felt emotionally, as well as a natural place to end it

#tough to say that because i remember back then i was actually scared that they WOULD end it there #and there are definitely episodes I really enjoyed a lot from the years since #it's not like from that point it was a bad show #but just... looking back. that would've just been the perfect package #might also be partially due to my age when i listened to those eps but i don't think thats a major factor #since its not like i wasnt already listening for years by then #and its also not the loss of a hyperfixation or w/e cause nightvale never was one for me #wtnv
