#and it's not a carbon copy of the original!!!

Tbh, it doesn't seem that bad. It looks like it's just a carbon copy of the original movie, with a bit worse effects. So it will probably be fine, but a flop (since everyone knows the plot already)
Tumblr media
Talking about this movie on the internet is NOT going to be fun, I'll tell you that much.
I'm just hoping the cast finds films to be in that people actually WANT to see and not some petulant money-burning scream against the animation medium.

Hot take that might get me canceled but people who want adaptations to be word for word/shot for shot like the source material are incredibly boring. I’m sorry but it what world does that even make sense??? You cannot adapt a book and expect everything to be exactly the same. The PJO tv series for example: I understand having certain frustrations with the show, it’s definitely not perfect and deserves some criticism. But it was never going to be exactly like the books, things had to change and be excluded for it to work in a tv series format.
And with the HTTYD movie, wanting a live action adaptation that is just the animated movie but with real people is boring. Why would y’all even want that?? It’s like the Lion King “live action” movie all over again.
Y’all need to get a grip and understand that adaptations will never be a carbon copy of the source material. If you wanna experience the original work REREAD/REWATCH IT.

If only GMMTV was about that GL life, casting for Semantic Error would be easy peasy lemon squeezy.

We have the height difference. We have the taller one who could be a whole ass problem while looking hot character. We have the shorter one could be mean yet still adorable character.
In another universe, we'd give it to the girls.

sorry for this but
copying other portrayals is def something to be upset abt .. but copying even super small things that make a portrayal special and tagging it as your own personal unique thing is just too far. like , at least make your blog original and unique , man.

So, I was just looking for a Snow White gif set, and I came across quite a few posts expressing displeasure about Rachel Zegler’s flippant attitude to the original Disney film. And while I agree she was being a bit glib, you have to remember, it’s all about playing it up for the camera. Maybe her manager told her to push a love-to-hate-it angle. Who knows. Disney is still trying to work that little bit of feminism that is truly marketable but is ‘safe’ in their standards.
But what irritates me is that those posts immediately delve into the history and animation of the work in the film. As an artist, I totally respect the work and success Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was in 1937. It’s a beautiful piece, to be sure.
And Snow White was kind of modern for the movie’s supposed setting and time period! She has a bob! It’s easily demonstrated and acknowledged by the audience how hard she works, in both the castle and the cottage! She’s a upper class woman who manages to stay chaste despite living with, horror among horrors, seven unmarried men!
But, come on. She was relatively safe, barely pushing the envelope, in 1937. Women were in factories, wearing pants, and were still actively fighting for their rights at the time. All while weathering the Great Depression!
Films like Mirror Mirror and Snow White and the Huntsman have already done more-feminine-modern takes on the tale. But Zegler isn’t wrong. If the original film’s story, no changes, came out today, it would be disappointing to a lot of feminists. So if you’ve watched the other live action Disney princess films, I’d say don’t knock the Snow White one just yet. It might actually offer something new but nice to more modern feminist audiences.
Just please don’t forget that something can be wonderful in one way and meh in another. The original film was an artistic masterpiece, but wasn’t the be-all end-all of feminism in the 30s. Check out this film, for example.
And hey, this is the webbed site of anxiety. You’ve all probably said things you regret, whether you ‘deserve’ to regret it or not. Don’t forget actors can make mistakes too. They’re human.

ASTARION'S APPROVAL RATING IS "HIGH."
This is NOT a drill, people!!!
Goddamn I hope I can finally trigger some romance options jfc.
Might have to finish Shar's gauntlet before his story advances, though. I've noticed that sometimes you have to finish a chunk of questline before new dialog unlocks.
IS2G once I finally finish this playthrough I'm gonna romance somebody easier. Shadowheart, maybe? Or Lae'zel. Her confession was really funny.

Someone told me that your childhood crushes tell a lot about you as a person, I wonder what those five can say about me... I mean, we have a very determined prince, a gentle amphibian, a literal bear, a romantic sailor and one of the most cruel people in Ivan the Terrible's court

The Gods of Hetaveyond: 10 Facts About Photia 🐦
A.K.A. The Sun Goddess, The Founder (of Civilization), Lady of Light, etc.
After the introduction of Diadema, here is her mentor and fellow goddess, Photia— because how can you have a moon deity without another that presides over the sun?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Photia is the leader of the pantheon, though not the oldest or most worshipped god.
2. Photia is allowed two magical gifts due to her status, of which she has chosen to grant sword singing and sorcery to promising mortals.
3. Photia’s way of distributing her gifts inadvertently birthed a classist society within her continent of Illiosa; while the gifted ones flourish, the non-gifted struggle to make a name for themselves.
4. Photia only allows herself to be seen if her presence is truly necessary, as she thinks it dangerous to have mortals gaze upon her too often.
5. Photia has granted the leaders of Illiosa special authority, allowing them to summon their goddess directly. However, only the monarchs of Tōnichi have been known to exercise such power.
6. Photia had a Twin named Tefna, who spawned vampiric entities where the Founder’s light does not shine.
7. Photia requested the creation of the Moon, as Tefna’s influence could only be suppressed by light. The “Vampire Queen” had not been seen since Diadema released her magnum opus — a massive, multifaceted lantern — into the night sky.
8. The only thing rarer than Photia’s own presence is her gigantic, fiery wings. Said to radiate heat comparable to that of the sun’s rays itself, evidence of such wings now remain only in ancient murals and statues composed in her likeness.
9. Besides Illiosans, Photia is also worshipped by the elves of Phantasmia, some of whom even desire to become sword singers.
10. Photia is based on the pioneer of Aveyond x Hetalia, @levijonescc! 🩵🤍
