*basically, the idea would be that Arthur realizes he’s gay/comes out for Merlin, but Merlin isn’t willing or able to support him through All That (which, valid)…I’ve seen a lot of fics that force Arthur to make some hard choices to be with Merlin (which I read and love, don’t get me wrong), but I’m kind of tempted to explore what it would look like for Arthur to get the support he needs in coming out in his own time and way…
