I’m so over the dismissal of Louis as a character on his own, the constant misinterpretations of Louis, the unwarranted villainizing of Louis (not saying he’s an angel, but blaming him for things that are not his fault), the sidelining of Louis, all of it!!!!!!!!!!! and it’s almost always just in service of boosting Armand or Lestat🙄🙄🙄🙄 Stop it!!!!!!!!
#iwtv#rambles#blaming Louis SINGLE-HANDEDLY for the death of claudia is some sick shit#like….that was armand babe#and it’s in service of a non-existent version of armand#like you can like armand that’s fine i love him#but don’t take away his fault and put it on louis and say it was bc armand wanted to be loved#like fuck off#i’m rambling again whoops#dumb!!!#also i dont agree w the post that says louis is so dumb#like he was all in on Lestat’s tricks but that doesn’t mean he’s a dumb idiot#ugh whatever i’m done#sorry!!#wait adding a tag: i don’t blame louis for claudia’s death (re:single-handedly) i think he can be blamed for putting her in position#to stay w the coven after armand threatened her and he ignored it#like he failed claudia many times but he did not cause the fucking trial u weirdos

I understand you because IWTV made me want to go back to Church because both Louis’ and Armand’s shades of religious repression activated my repression and immediately made me feed the irresistible urge to go confess and be generally penitent. Going to service this Sunday also
I don't think that the show caused religious reawakening to me but maybe it's a small thing that has supported it. I related to Armand so strongly when i read the books as a young teen when i was still religious, so it's fitting that when i'm starting to find my faith again i'm also experiencing a new and better version of that story lol. Meeting Palestinian and other non-western christians have had a huge influence on me, i feel like i've found the type of christianity i didn't really know existed. I've had negative experiences with christians in my country, so it has been powerful to see that there are christians who genuinely try to follow Christ and show compassion for everyone and stand up for justice. My country is pretty secular with most people not believing in god, and for young liberal/leftist people like me it's really rare to be religious. So i'm still finding my place but looking forward to going to church for the first time in 10 years
#this feels almost too personal for me to talk about might delete later dskfsj#but fun to know there are other christians watching the vamp show it's an experience#mail
