Technically already answered, but I'm going to add my favourite poetry books of the year - Countee Cullen's Color and Jan Wagner's Die Eulenhasser in den Hallenhäusern.

9. Favorite detective novel(s).

Probably James Ellroy's L.A. Confidential. I'm extremely fond of Jonathan Kellerman's Alex Delaware novels, but those are, like, not good.

10. Favorite classical literature.

Hamlet and Faust are favourites for sure.

47. What are the last three books you read?

Maurice Leblanc's Der Zahn des Tigers (mostly fun, but with another tedious "oh this woman is the only one Lupin has ever truly loved! - what do you mean this exact thing happens pretty much every single previous book with a different woman every time?" and also some extremely unexpected hardcore colonialism), Christoph Hein's Verwirrnis (not my own choice, this was for class and I hated every second of it), and Die Drei ??? und der giftige Gockel (I liked the Kelly content and the HIGH stakes and Julia Crown, other parts of the plot were... questionable at best tbh).
