this is no longer a concern for me, it's very clear from the promotional material that the 60th is going to be very David Tennant centric, now what I want to avoid is history repeating itself, last time David Tennant left (ignoring DOTD), it was made out to be a death, and as though Matt Smith was replacing David Tennant (I know in a very literal way that he was, but it shouldn't feel like that in the show itself, it should feel more like a passing of the torch). If that happens again I'm going to be pissed, they could do it last time because the show was at its peak and most viewers would have given Matt Smith a chance, they can't get away with it this time, if this regeneration isnt about looking to the future, accepting change, being excited for the adventures of the next doctor even though you know it won't be you and won't be the same, I don't know, it's not setting Ncuti Gatwa up for failure in the same way as the previous scenario would, but it's certainly not setting him up for success either

Do not, please god rtd, do not have Gatwa’s debut as 14 be the 60th anniversary special if Tennant and Tate are going to be a major part of it. If Tennant is in more than a couple of scenes, Gatwa does not stand a chance at a fair shake, because regardless of how good he is, he will be overshadowed by the presence of the most popular Doctor in the last 40 years. It will be all anybody talks about when they should be talking about Gatwa. No actor should have to debut as the doctor in a multi-doctor story, let alone the most popular. It is a recipe for disaster.

I wanna share my "BG3 Through Fandom Osmosis" experience:

Baldur's Gate 3 has been trending frequently on here since it's release. Besides being a video game, I had zero knowledge of it. It was trending so often I'd periodically check the tag out of curiosity.

However I was never there very long, because the tag was mainly Astarion. I'd skim the few top posts and get the gist of his deal: asshole with a tragic past, vampire, you can actually fix him, ect. I saw the appeal, but it wasn't there for me personally.

I didn't look any further into the game for a while because I didn't care about the only character getting engagement. Karlach had some attention at first, and she had grabbed mine. Unfortunately, content for her subsided and became outnumbered by Astarion stuff. The only other character I saw that piqued my curiosity in the game was quickly shoved to the side in favor of the vamp.

It wasn't until I saw a post of Wyll that I found out there were other companions to play. I went back to the BG3 tag for him, and imagine my surprise when I found out everything this game has to offer. Quests, character creation, multiple choices and endings, more hours of various content than Game Of Thrones or Lord of the Rings. You name it, this game has it. You can even play without the vamp! He's not strictly necessary for game completion! Endless gameplay options, but I had no idea because I saw NO content besides Astarion.

Is it nice to see a white guy that's actually a well developed character? Obviously! I like seeing people talk about him with actual canon instead of stuff people gleamed/made up about him. (At least most of the time.) That said, it's a disservice to anyone unfamiliar/interested in this game to give Astarion sole focus.

What if, and this is blasphemous I know, someone isn't drawn in by him? If there's no content for anything else, the assumption will be he's the best part of the gaming experience. From an outside perspective, you'd think BG3 is nothing more than a ~Special White Guy~ Dating Simulator. If you have no interest in him, why would you ever look further into the game?

If there's no new people playing BG3 and/or participating in fandom, then eventually even Astarion content will run dry. I don't want that for anyone in any part of this fandom! However, you've gotta have fans of different parts of the media itself if you want to keep a fandom alive.

It's also a bit insulting to the anyone who worked on anything non-Astarion related. All the energy that went into this massive game, only for everything outside of a singular character to go mainly ignored? While I've heard the other companions are "less developed", none of them are underdeveloped. They hold different parts of the game in themselves. There's so much to learn and work off with them. You're genuinely missing out on the game by ignoring them!

Lucifer

You had spent countless hours against Lucifer, trying to fight him and force him into a pact. No matter what you did, it seemed like you failed.

It took you a long time to realize, but you had to train to beat Lucifer. And that you did. You knew how terrifying his power was as all the demons told you, so for a week straight you intensely trained until you were ready.

Lucifer was already on edge noticing you didn’t try anything, but he knew you wouldn’t give up, which was when you decided to strike.

He easily dodged your initial flying kick when he entered the room, but you grabbed onto the door and swung back around, kicking the tip of his head before he backed off.

He was now ready to dodge, believing that tour strategy was only to catch him off guard, but he was wrong.

When you landed, you dug your foot into the ground and threw yourself at him, but as he moved to the right, you used the shelf behind him to catch yourself and kick off it and nailed a kick straight to his head.

It was now or never as you began throwing heavy punches, trying to get him into a chokehold while he was prying you off, struggling a little as you bit onto his fingers or wings. You even bit onto his horn to stabilize yourself and kept punching.

By the end of it, you had quite a few bruises from his harsh grip, but he had a black eye and his feathers were all over the floor, you’ve won.

He probably could of killed you, but he didn’t want that, so he accepted his loss, glaring at you when you dug your heel into his stomach as Satan clapped and Belphie got out a trophy to hand you.

His pact was now your’s and you were going to flaunt it. He’s alright with the fact it was you who forced him into a pact, but it majorly hurt his ego that you were superior to him.

Mammon

You had recently arrived in the devildom half an hour ago and did not feel welcomed, in the slightest.

You tried to be nice to your guide, but he brushed you off and left you with Levi, or he intended to.

Levi gasped as he watched you tackle Mammon who tried to run off, and elbow him in the jaw. When he fell to the ground you kicked the life out of him muttering out “I tried to be nice to you fucker, if one of us is killed today it’s you.”

Levi was obviously bewildered, but took the chance to tell you to make a pact with him, his biggest mistake in his lifetime, all the poor demons in the future.

Mammon was crying a little as you forced him into a pact, and pulled him up with one hand, making him face Levi himself.

Mammon is 100% nicer to you because you’re scarier than Lucifer, and also because you genuinely treat him with respect now that he’s nice to you, something he’s not used to. Super happy to be the first ever demon you’ve conquered.

Leviathan

You had decided to do things the non violent way and participate in the TSL quiz, until Levi turned into his demon form and tried to kill you.

Taking up his challenge, you fearlessly walked towards him as Mammon was trying to tell you no, and you caught his punch.

It pushed you back a little bit, but you caught it and twisted his arm, and proceeded to beat him up in a one sided battle.

It’s not that he was weak, or others were helping you, but you genuinely managed to fight back and beat him so hard that it looked like his entire left arm was broken.

Lucifer was kinda pissed you broke his brother ngl;; but Diavolo is like it’s self defense?? And Lucifer is just like what human fights a demon across the room in self defense.

When Levi is begging for mercy he is reminded of what happened to Mammon and the rumors, accepting defeat, you make a pact mark with him, he’s kinda pissed though, like highkey.

He thinks that you probably think of him as a trophy or something to collect, based off the rumors. You probably don’t want to have a pact mark with an otaku, you just want to show off your strength.

He soon changes his attitude towards you when you show interest in him. You’re just genuinely a nice person and a caring older sibling figure, but will fight for the sake of peace and safety.

Now he’s just jealous that you spend more time with Luke than anyone else.

Satan

He offered you a pact mark easily because he wanted to piss off Lucifer, especially when you tried to give him a black eye from the pillow fight.

Very angry and disappointed when you said no, but then surprised when you said you’d beat the shit out of him instead, fair and square.

He knew you fought well, but are you sure you want to fight the embodiment of wrath himself? And you’re just like yep, the small tiny you, so confident.

He didn’t take it too seriously despite seeing the actual proof multiple times, and he watched you used his messy room to your advantage, even using the bookshelves to help you get air.

His ass was easily kicked even when he was serious. “You know, after facing both Levi and Beel, you aren’t much of a challenge.” You casually said as you formed a pact mark with him.

Slightly irked by the comment but delighted to be apart of your fan club, probably yells “BEAT THEIR ASS!” On the sidelines.

Pisses Lucifer off whenever you two fight and Lucifer gets an injury from you, and asks if Lucifer ever wants ice, just to be a dick.

Diavolo and Satan are in the fan club which PISSES Lucifer off when the two are in front of him discussing how you will one day (undoubtedly) beat Diavolo.

Asmodeous

You made a pact with Asmo after accidentally beating him up, he was begging for mercy and you kind of felt bad.

You insisted it wasn’t on purpose and he kind of avoids you for awhile after the pact mark. He’s glad Solomon isn’t like you, otherwise the devildom would cease to exist.

He’s eventually fine with you, and loves to take photos of you and Luke together acting like siblings because it’s the cutest thing. Although demons are scared of you they do kinda admire you, and seeing you soft with Luke is good for his devilgram.

Soon treats you like a friend instead of a monster that just so happened to kick his ass and make him beg.

You’re so tiny that it’s kinda cute and he nearly forgets someone like you is violent and scary so when he took you shopping and someone shoplifted, he was concerned for your nails after you disfigured them.

Will 10/10 treat your tense muscles and let you soak in his tub.

Beelzebub

He’s seen you fight before but damn he couldn’t believe it. You’re just so smol?? Couldn’t he crush you?

Lesson learned as he was knocked out after he broke your room. You didn’t want to hurt Besl since he was always courteous with you, so you knocked him out quickly.

He doesn’t remember more than you launching at him and the feel of his wings being tugged and his neck suddenly throbbing.

Mammon who watched beg for Beel’s life on his knees, asking you to spare him. You just nodded and waited for Beel to wake up before making a pact.

When he makes one, you give him some custard you asked Mammon to go out and buy really quick, you said please, and Beel is just so happy!!

He tried to kill you and he feels so bad but you’re just so kind!! Wants to protect you so bad but knows you’re just so badass so he instead helps you care for Luke.

Belphegor

You’d definitely be lying if you said you didn’t see it coming. His brothers had already tried to kill you, he was locked in an attic, and not to mention he gave you a weird vibe, you would of left him alone if you weren’t a nice person.

He tells you thank you for freedom and transforms, ready to kill you. No one got in his way and instead said “good luck Belphie” or “Nice knowing you” so he thought they wanted you dead.

Then he hears Beel say “I don’t want you to die, Belphie” and he is so confused? As he aimed his attack and you just end up punching him square in the face.

Afterwards, you kicked him in the stomach and grabbed his tail, swinging him into a wall, and knocking him over and over and over.

He is out cold, so when he wakes up and sees everyone congratulating him on surviving, he puts two and two together.

You were sitting on top of him and demanding a pact mark, and he unwillingly gives it to you after you nearly rip out his horn.

Pissed off and scared of you, slightly, but more impressed by the fact that even Lucifer struggles with you. When he finds out about the sheer amount of pact marks you have he’s starting to wonder when humans got so strong? And it became an endless spiral of him being pissed off.

Don’t worry though!! He eventually gets used to you.

Diavolo

Super happy it was finally his turn!! Like you did it, congrats, wants it you’d like some tea and what kind of attire to wear for his asskicking.

Is absolutely not looking down on you, he genuinely believes you’re strong. Because of that, he’s just so excited to face you. You beat both Lucifer and Barbatos, the majority of RAD, and you’re such a cool person!!

When you approach him you looked so badass. “Aye, prince of kiss my ass, I’m here to claim you once and for all and become the new ruler of this place.” You yelled out as you kicked down the door to his office.

The first time you two fought, he won. You had a lot of bruises, but managed to rip out some of his hair, at least. He finds it admirable how you still kept going despite him clearly hearing a rib break.

SUPER excited to tell Satan about it!! Hopes Barbatos recorded the fight so he could broadcast it at RAD during an announcement or something, but Barbatos rejected that idea.

Poor Diavolo only wanted to be included in this ass beating trend, but super happy when you return three days later and try to beat him up again, you even changed up the way you fight!!

You won’t ever know this, but one day he purposely changed his office’s layout to benefit your fighting style more, so when you finally beat him he was so ecstatic, his lips were bleeding but he was laughing, congratulating you and couldn’t wait to give you a pact.

Oh boy was he SO happy when you flaunted it, and sat in his desk chair with a hand on your chin, giving an order to Barbatos who recorded it, acting as if you really were the ruler of the devildom.

“Could you get some bandages for your former ruler, please?” You asked, feeling accomplished that Luke was officially safe during his stay in the devildom, and Diavolo was just swooning.

The public is 10/10 avoiding you because they are SCARED for their life. The people are convinced you’re like a nuclear weapon against demons.

Barbatos

He knew one day you’d defeat Lucifer, but it was so quick. You only needed a week of prep time?

Steps up his game a bit, because after two weeks of training you approach him ready to fight, and he can sense you’re not the same.

As he uses his tail to put you out of the room, he automatically feels your sharp teeth digging into his tail. He can withstand it no problem, until you literally rip a bit of his tail chunk out.

You didn’t let go even as he flung you off his tail, and you even dug your nails in. He showed no expression, but it was genuinely painful as you climbed his tail onto him, his tail no longer as useful because he was very sure you would rip through it.

His fighting against you one on one went well for him, he could see and easily predict your moves easily, until you head butted him and began every trick in the book.

From kicking, punching, biting, scratching, you name it, you did it. He was finally at your mercy when you were cover in both your own and his blood, while he was sure his tail was missing some pieces, and you were absolutely not letting go.

He’s 100% convinced you’ve gone feral in a span of three weeks, but that’s okay. The only thing stopping you from fighting the prince was now defeated, and he apologised to Diavolo frequently, who was only super excited in return.

Don’t worry you apologised for his tail and helped him with his job for awhile, totally not to also study Diavolo in his natural habitat.

First time you’ve ever seen him smile so soft was when he got his ass kicked so hard by you that his tail went chomp chomp.

Luke

Surprised pikachu face.

He understands you beating up Mammon,, and maybe some lesser demons,, but did you REALLY defeat Lucifer, Barbatos, and Diavolo.

Surprised pikachu face as you shrug and say “yeah I guess. I’m the ruler now, do you feel safe yet?”

Lucifer yells out you’re not the ruler just because you formed a pact with Diavolo, but you ignored him and smile at Luke, patting his head.

Luke is just nodding like “I’m safe!!!” While in his head he’s like WOW whaT PLEASE EXPLAIN.

Luke constantly calls you his older sibling now, tells daddy Simeon ALL about it, and brags about you to the demons who even look at him.

Praise this precious baby as he makes you all the sweets in the world. You’ve literally defeated demons of all sorts, even the most powerful, and all you want is to see him smile.

Will probably cry.

Little Tsutomu was just going to go and ask you if he could grab some of your notes for maths since there was an upcoming exam. Well he knocked on your door expecting an answer but when he heard nothing he decided just to open the door, he certainly wasn’t expecting a surprise.

It didn’t help the fact that his friends told him that he was a lucky guy. Jealousy getting the best of him he made sure to remind you who you belonged to after practice. Because we all know that Goshiki can become a hard dom really quick.

He was walking to your dorm room to ask for his hoodie back since he just assumed that you stole it tfrom him earlier on in the week. Your roommate was going out with some of her friends so he just told Ushijima to come in anyways.

He stayed still in the dorm frame as he watches you throwing it back. He will just stay still as a statue and furrowing his eyes on you as a small blush creeps on his cheeks. The poor dude has to process what you are doing since the dance had very explicit moves. “Is this who my girlfriend really is?”

Soon you noticed that there was a tall figure at the back of your TikTok. “AHHHH! Ushi! What are you doing here? And why didn’t you say anything?” You were embarrassed. “I came to see if you had my hoodie but I wasn’t expecting my girlfriend to be dancing like this so I just stared.” There was an awkward silence in the room and it didn’t help the f at that your boyfriend was just staring at you like “WhAt Am I sUpOsEd To Say”

After you gave him his hoodie and cuddled for a while he want back to his dorm room thinking about what happened earlier. Don’t get him ring he really enjoyed seeing your ass juggling. Thoughts getting the best of him he didn’t realize that he was getting a smaller problem down there.

Tendou was missing you after a long day of practice. He just wanted cuddles form his baby girl so he just barged into your room expecting you to be studying or watching anime. But to his surprise you were in a crop top and in a pair of sweats moving your hips so nicely. He knows what the trend was so why not join in?

We all know that Tendou is the most fun person to be around with so it wasn’t a surprise when he started throwing it back with you. When you both finished the TikTok “I didn’t know you could dance like that my little puppy” you became flustered with his complement since you didn’t expect him to barge in.

He’s also accused of having opposed and most likely killed warrior monks during the wedding crash, not to count Guado guards in Macalania and Home. He escaped prison and became a ‘most wanted’, too, with a bounty on his head. Plus, opposing Yunalesca and Yu Yevon could be associated with blasphemy. He did partake in the murder of Seymour, a Maester of Yevon, not to mention the fact Spira did believe Tidus and the others had killed Kinoc too. I guess the accusations all fell with the following crisis of the Temple and the disappearance of Sin but… vices.   Being too loud, daydreaming, being too impatient. Pride.

Since its beginnings as a peculiar offshoot of Netgear, Arlo has found its rhythm with an excellent selection of wireless and weatherproof smart cams. The high-resolution Arlo Pro 2 tops our list of the best outdoor surveillance cameras in 2019 – and it is also a good choice for indoor surveillance.

In April Arlos became Ultra 4K came and marked the first shot in a next generation fight for the supremacy of the UHD Smart Cam. It offers superior sharpness and impressively large views, but a price tag of $ 300 per camera and a restrictive upgrade path for existing Arlo owners meant it wasn't a big hit.

A 160 degree field of view may be narrower than the Arlo Ultra 4K's generous 180 degree field of view, but it's a significant advance over the 130 degrees offered by the outgoing model.

Additional functions are performed directly by the Arlo Ultra 4K. A built-in headlamp enables Arlo to claim color night vision support, while noise-canceling two-way audio and a siren in front of the camera further strengthen the Arlo Pro 3's security requirements. It also benefits from the clean magnetic charging system that we got to know in April that promises a battery life of up to six months between charges.

A better choice for Arlo upgrades

Visually, the cameras and the SmartHub of the Arlo Pro 3 look identical to those we saw when we tested the Arlo 4K Ultra. This is not a bad thing, as Arlo's much-copied design is one of the more compact and attractive systems. The curvy all-plastic case is sturdy enough to withstand the elements, while installation is simplified with a strong magnetic mounting system (a screw option is also available). A partially flattened base also allows the camera to be placed indoors on a shelf or desktop. In short, you can install the Arlo Pro 3 anywhere.

The often copied design by Arlo is one of the more compact and attractive systems.

It also includes Arlo's latest SmartHub (VMB4540), which enables the network connection between the cameras and your router. Again, it looks identical to the slimmer device introduced with the Arlo Ultra 4K, but a closer look reveals important differences. External video storage for camera recordings is available, but this model enables it via a single USB 2.0 port instead of the microSD slot equipped with the Arlo Ultra. This is good news for surveillance video horters who benefit from storage capacities of up to 2 TB. The The lower resolution video from Arlo Pro 3 also allows the system to work with reduced bandwidth requirements. This SmartHub works with 802.11 b / g / n Wi-Fi and not with the faster "AC" standard supported by the Arlo Ultra 4K.

Setup is a breeze

As with any Arlo system we tested, commissioning Arlo Pro 3 is very easy. Arlo recently launched a new version of its smartphone app that guides you through the installation. While cheaper smart camera systems can switch between direct Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections during setup, Arlo's wired SmartHub does the installation smoothly.

Hardware installation is just as easy. The scope of delivery includes options for screw and magnetic fastening. Arlo's newer concave magnetic mount is fabulous and combines strength and versatility. Cameras snap into place intelligently on the bracket on the back and can be precisely angled despite the fixed connection. For more ambitious installation, the supplied adjustable safety bracket can be screwed into walls, fences, ceilings, trees, etc. It supports 360 degree rotation and 90 degree tilt.

A step in video quality

In use, the Arlo Pro 3's 2K image quality is a noticeable improvement over the previous generation camera (and a huge leap over the 720p that is supported by the original Arlo system). While it's not quite as clear as Arlo Ultra 4K or wired Nest Cam IQ models, it's still very good indeed. With the improved resolution, you can take advantage of the camera's 12x digital zoom without pictures instantly falling into a blurry chaos. However, if you slide beyond the 3x zoom, the quality will be noticeably affected. Arlo Pro 3 is equipped with an intelligent automatic zoom and tracking function, which is practical for security monitoring. As we found with the Arlo Ultra 4K, the resolution of the camera is unfortunately reduced to 1080p when the function is activated.

Night vision offers greater sharpness and clarity than many competitors.

We found that the image quality is balanced during the day, with precise colors and good contrast. Arlo's Auto HDR feature makes it one of the few smart cameras we've tested indoors that avoid overexposure near bright windows. This means that you take pictures of people looking through your windows to see if you are at home. The 160-degree field of view is wide enough to cover all but the most spacious rooms or huge gardens, and the distortion of the fisheye is negligible.

At night, the Arlo Pro 3 color night vision feature requires the camera's built-in headlight to be illuminated. The resulting images are certainly more natural than the creepy standard black and white images produced by competitors. While the range is good, color night vision suffers from the blurring and noise that typically occur in high ISO photography. When the headlight is off, the camera returns to a standard night vision setting. The lighting range is good here too, and while monochrome images are a bit noisy, the night vision of Arlo Pro 3 offers greater clarity and clarity than many of its competitors.

A standard daily timeline view is supported by filters that allow users to zoom in on specific cameras or review clips based on the type of alert triggered or object detected. Our only criticism of the app is that connecting to a camera's livestream can take a while, even on the local network. In some cases, we watched live video within 5 seconds. In other cases, there is a delay of up to 30 seconds.

Since both cameras broadcast 2K video live at the same time, we noticed some temporary performance problems during stress tests. About every 20 seconds, both streams were replaced by a black screen for one second before the livestream was restored. When local 2K streaming is disabled, performance has improved, although we still see flickering from time to time. Since both cameras report a good signal, we can only assume that it is a problem with the network bandwidth or a processing bottleneck. Maybe it would have been better to maintain Arlo Ultra's 802.11ac connectivity?

It is certainly not cheap, but the improved one Image quality, the integrated security functions and the simple app control of the Arlo Pro 3 make it an excellent choice for home surveillance. When I started a recs list, everybody's were hand-coded html lists on their websites. Livejournal changed that, and popularized recs lists far more by removing the biggest barriers to participation, the need for webhosting and the need to code html. But livejournal was far from an ideal situation for a recs database, as it didn’t have tags for the greater part of its existence. Many people’s recs journals were simply filled with posts that started with a list of which fandoms were represented within; many didn’t contain a masterlist and were hence not searchable. Fandom-wide resources Crack Van (where reccers could sign up for a week or month at a time to represent their favorite fandom, pairing, or subgenre with curated recs and introductory blurbs) and Recs Rainbow (a blog that maintained an index of self-submitted fandom reccers and when they were updated with what) also came into existence. Navigating these resources in search of new recs lists for a new fandom was itself a big task, but they still made everything a great deal easier, because navigating the maze of personal blogs and fic posted directly to topical communities all over the site, + fic posted to smaller archives and personal sites, was still very difficult - arguably more difficult in some fandoms, because finding fic meant performing keyword searches for communities, paging back through their entire catalogs of entries, surfing from person to person. Delicious.com, with its revolutionary tag sorting that went beyond the individual user account, became the best place to find and search for fic very quickly. Suddenly you could look at the most recent bookmarks from other people in real time for any pairing you could think of - although without standardized tags, they weren’t all the bookmarks for the fandom; for that you had to surf around between different bookmarkers’ accounts using their networks, or find them by clicking on popular stories to see who else had bookmarked them and going to each person’s account. External bookmarking services still rely on the user to fill in all the info, though, so not every bookmark is equally informative - warnings, ratings, summaries, even author names or story lengths, or more importantly, the fact that something was still a work in progress, could easily be missing from the bookmark. Simply the fact that someone, or several someones, has recommended a thing before isn’t the same as getting a recommendation from someone whose taste you already know is like yours in some respect. Sorting the search results by number of kudos or bookmarks is only going to give you the Billboard Top Whatever list, while reccers are djs, curators of content. And as the recent discussion of exposing bookmarker-side tags as a provider of content warnings show - particularly for racism and other issues where the creator may be unaware or not want to tag correctly - AO3 has the potential to create new functionalities with tags that could do things we've never been able to do before. A simple 'hot right now' or 'trending recently' algorithm like the ones used at Ravelry and Pinboard's Recent Fandom Bookmarks page (which doesn't work, because of the fandom exodus away from Pinboard, but was a great idea) could make it much more efficient to check out recent significant developments in a fandom, for example. My present workaround is to use the works search, filter by date for things completed or updated within the last (2 weeks, 6 weeks, 1 year, whatever, depending if/when I last looked at the fandom in question) and then sort by descending bookmarks, kudos, or hits. The ability to follow other bookmarkers could let you surf to see what friends of friends are reading and discover new people with congenial taste, which is the best way to receive recs from outside your own fandoms. And if bookmarker tags were or could be exposed when browsing the archive, a highlight color for someone you already follow could allow you to pick out comments that are more likely of interest. Any of that functionality is definitely still in the future, if not a complete pipe dream, and it's quite rightly behind other issues for the people who are coding the archive. A support and feature request person commented on the recent Tumblr discussion that inundating them with duplicate requests would be useless, but someone on the post suggested that using the bookmark tags and bookmark collections functionality more would be the best current step. Of course, I don't know if that person was correct, but I've got nearly 900 bookmarks there, so beginning to tag them strikes me as a fun and exciting (albeit long-term and time-consuming) task.

Top Ten Anime of 2017

Pretty busy last couple of weeks, resulting in me delaying to start writing this post until the day of posting this. However, I am determined to continue to make these once a year posts of my top ten anime. With this year coming to an end and my reposting of content from sekijitsu, it has been enjoyable seeing all my opinions from the past as they came out -- especially my net neutrality post from a few years back after the incorrect decision by the FCC this month.

Either way, going through all these anime in one day I have clearly seen a trend of the type of anime that drew me in this year. It was a bit more difficult to make my decisions for who made the top ten this year, but I did have one anime that clearly was number one and worked from there. So lets kick off the new year right with another top ten list that I'm sure many people are looking forward to reading.

Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou

An odd mix of fantasy and slice of life that actually worked pretty well together. I found myself more engrossed in the arc where Inaba improved his spirit ability, which didn't last that long. Unfortunately, with that that build up, it didn't really pay off that much with the focus shifting back into the more slice of life elements. Luckily, for me, these elements were good because they covered a subject that is always fascinating to me, that being psychology. Overall, even with the stark contrast, "Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou" was a light hearted anime that didn't shy away from the darker parts of human nature creating entertaining episodes a majority of the time.

Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka?

A story filled with loss, tragedy, and a world invested with monsters. Even with that themes mostly being drowned in sadness, "Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka?" manages to create hope in it's viewers, making for a compelling series to navigate through. They end up packing a lot of backstory into this series that ended up being squished twelve episode, but what we got I was enthusiastic to find out that more it revealed. Lastly, as I mentioned at the start, tragedy and character development go hand and hand, and we ended up getting a variety of well fleshed out characters. Each of them growing in a believable manner that fit well with the narrative themes. Overall, this anime had a really interesting world with good characters that felt like it could have been better served as a longer anime.

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2

I never mentioned this series when the first season came out last year, but I did thoroughly enjoy it. I don't usually put comedies into my top ten list because I never really think about them past it's airing, but "Kono Subarashii Sekai no Shukufuku wo! 2" made it this time around. What it did to make it this time was take the main reason I loved the original series and improve on character dynamics through comedy and further build on the world -- as they are no long stuck in one space. Resulting in an increased sense of progress and truly was the funniest anime I've seen this year.

Demi-chan wa Kataritai

An anime that tackles a serious topic like discrimination and the desire to find a place to belong, in a very gleeful way. "Demi-chan wa Kataritai" introduced each character at an steady pace while also adding new dynamics between each character. It ended up creating a fun and captivating atmosphere between characters while showing the different types of monsters, or demi-human, and the lore behind them. This was one of the first anime that stood out to me this year and I'm glad it continued to delivery as more characters created a bond and the last demi-girl was well worth the wait with all the teasing incorporated throughout the series.

Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata ♭

Another second season of a series that surprised me enough to put it on my list, but checking the 2015 top ten, "Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata" was there and ended up in the same number. Like most second seasons, this was more of the same, but this time around we finally got to see Megumi develop more as a character. She was always my favorite compared to the more over the top girls -- although Utaha comes in a close second. A lot of advancement toward the end felt more rushed with Utaha graduation on the horizon. However, that sense of urgency worked as the catalyst for pushing Tomoya out of his complacency, allowing for development from all character involved in Blessing Software -- as well as, breaking the by-the-book nature of this harem romcom.

Sagrada Reset

The type of anime that starts out dull, but builds up to the point of becoming a really compelling story with a lot of complexity. "Sagrada Reset" starts out simple with the idea of a town that inherently manifests powers for the people that live in it. However, as more characters are introduced, and their beliefs and goals become clear, this simple concept turns into a complicated situation where people fight for what they believe propelling the story from that. This was one of the few anime that made me think more about components they introduced. "Sagrada Reset" does a good job of showing not telling that can confuse some viewers that are use to the exposition type of storytelling. Really enjoyed the mystery and how it was laid out for the viewer, concluding with a satisfactory ending.

3-gatsu no Lion 2

One of the anime from this season that is only half way through, but has managed to convince me enough to put it on the list without finishing. Last season Rei didn't really feel like he had much motivation for anything and just went with the flow. This made the driving focus for the story not that impactful, but with the season season, his motivation became very clear and pretty quickly. This contributed to my increased attraction to the series, as well as the cuteness of the series that continued from the previous season. So this mixing of innocence contracted with human anguish, really tugs at my heartstrings in an enjoyable way.

Mahou Tsukai no Yome

Initially got into "Mahou Tsukai no Yome" through a three episode OVA that helped establish the character Chise and her tragic backstory. So going into the full anime with that knowledge, I was already in love with Chise and opening the world with new characters and a more cheerful tone made for in enjoyable experience. Even with this being another anime only half way through, the amount of information blended into a cohesive theme elevated this series into one of my favorites, not only in this season, but this year as well. I can't wait to see how much more this season builds the world and how each character will develop.

Shingeki no Kyojin 2

The initial hype around "Shingeki no Kyojin" back in 2013 didn't really register with me at the time. I'm not usually that into action anime, however, with more details being revealed about the titans, that hook finally started to catch something. All that fog of ambiguity of a human killing machine started to clear with the motivation of why titans wanted to wipe the human race. So will all that information, Attack on Titan swung to being a political anime featuring action and gore scenes. So really, the second season convinced me to continue this series and I hope they continue to bend in the political and psychological side of the narrative.

Ballroom e Youkoso

Every now and then a sport anime ends up surprising me, see as I rarely watch them. "Ballroom e Youkoso" is another one on a short list that fits that category. This anime has great pacing from start to finish, assuming that the viewer knows very little about dance and all the complexity of it in a competitive space. I found myself being engrossed in the world of dance and the topic of parter compatibility, synchronous movement, body control, and the lead/follow dynamic. These subjects helped create a nice arc for Tatara going from a green dance into a worthy competitor with a strong cast of characters.

Inuyashiki

This one took me by surprise because I had no idea what I was getting into as I watched this. Luckily, "Inuyashiki" turned out to be an interesting commentary about humans in similar situations and how they react depending on their past experiences. The situation itself was being handed power in the form of a new robotic body after their previous bodies were destroyed. This concept worked well in creating a villain with a purpose, although it wasn't there initially. As well as an unlikely hero, whose compassion also isn't as clear in the beginning, and develops as the villain gains traction. And with them having the same type of body, it really shows that that "good" and "evil" aren't binary, but more of a scale depending on the situation.

Boku no Hero Academia 2

Last of the second season anime that ended up in my top ten list. This season of "Boku no Hero Academia" finally allowed for Izuku to development his One for All powers changing the essence of a bumbling hero that faces danger in foolishness, into a more competent that is still struggling to catch up. More the world lore gets revealed and that created a future incentive for Izuku to get stronger. Really the second season helped me get even more invested into the world and I'm waiting in anticipation for the next season to air.

Made in Abyss

Going into this anime, I thought this would be a merry little adventure that I might enjoy, however, as the title suggests, the bleakness of the abyss fools you into a sense of comfort. "Made in Abyss" is one of those adventure anime that reveals concepts of the abyss fairly quickly in the first episode, but doesn't really show the abyss until our characters enter it. This is another case of showing rather than telling being better, but the anime ended up using both almost like a warning for those that attempt to stare into the abyss. The horrors of abyss isn't the only thing to look forward to in this anime, the character we stick with grow up fast in this environment. With them encountering many dangers worked as a consent remind of how easy it is for these characters to be killed. Youtuber AU Headcanons

(Lowkey inspired by a post by @whizzerbrowne who brought the idea to my attention and it has since dominated my brain). Let’s just get started:

~ Three Youtubers: Jason, Cordelia, and Whizzer.

Jason

Type: He’s one of those younger, newer youtubers. He started when he was nine, and he talked frankly about stuff like divorce (bc his parents were going through a divorce at the time) and being an introvert and being autistic and being Jewish and dealing with a difficult relationship with his parents. He has trouble really talking to people so it was like really easy to just sit in front of a camera and start talking at them. Side note: this was totally Mendel’s idea as a therapy exercise that actually worked, okay? And (as we’ve seen in the musical), Jason has this raw honesty and wit to him that is very funny and real to watch. As he’s gotten older, he’s started talking about other things - like not such heavy topics. He talks about the things that he’s hyperfixated on (baseball, chess, the emoji movie, etc), and though his content is pretty erratic and all over the place, people just love his commentary and he’s amassed millions of followers in just a few years??

He also vlogs /a lot/, which is how his audience got to know Trina, Mendel, and Marvin.

Trina - Everyone literally adores her. She is v nervous and awkward in her cameos in Jason’s videos, but she is also very honest and vocal about her opinions and calls herself the Cool Mom even though Jason’s like “Mom, you don’t let me stay up past ten even when it’s not a school night” and Trina’s just “A Cool Mom can’t still care about your healthy and well-being??”

Mendel - As a one-off, Jason asked his followers to submit questions to Mendel the Psychiatrist for a collab idea with his stepdad, and his pieces of advice were kinda off the wall and funny and it quickly became a series and one of Jason’s most popular series ever. Some people are convinced Mendel is just playing a character so Jason has to be like “no he is actually like this. You have to believe me.” Also: Mendel gets a snapchat that everyone follows. He uploads grainy pictures of like trees and makes puns and constantly spams his story with pictures of Trina with captions like “look at how pretty she is” and “how did i get so lucky” and “rare photo of an actual goddess.” 

Marvin - Tbh, the audience’s reaction to Marvin is a little more mixed, esp at first. Jason had talked a lot about his difficult relationship with Marvin and his “Draw My Life” video did stir up some contempt for Marvin’s selfishness. But like, over the years and through small snippets of cameos, it is generally believed that Marvin has changed and grown up a lot and is like an amazing (but dorky) dad. His cameos in Jason’s videos are the best bc it shows how eerily alike those two are and at one point Marvin briefly talks about internalized homophobia and toxic masculinity and hints at the stuff that he is’t proud of, and everyone - no matter their outward opinion of him - has like a little crush on him. Also, the videos with Marvin and Mendel both?? Their petty arguing gets like millions of hits every time.

Jason also totally does all the trend/tag videos but also has like that sarcastic, almost ironic vibe at first but he ends up really sincerely liking it. 

Jason also does like monologues of his thoughts and opinions while also doing mini skits in between and he is iconic and a jack of all trades really.

He is very articulate and seems so mature but like any hate whatsoever does get to him a lot. He’s learned how to deal with his self-doubt and ignoring the trolls better than he had when he first started, but every once in awhile it still gets to him.

Also??? Remember that Roast Yourself Challenge trend??? Jason did that, and it was on the top page for like a solid week. He went too hard and too real.

Cordelia

Type: Totally like Hannah Hart’s Drunk Kitchen, are you even kidding me?? That it totally Cordelia. She drinks and talks about current events and makes really bad food puns and it is Everything. She also branches out after awhile and starts doing like satirical how-to videos. Lowkey once she tried to make a wry, parody version of a beauty vlogger how-to and she ended up having so much fun with it and her after make-up looked ballin, so she starts doing make-up tutorials, too.

She’s also very very proudly gay and out. Like, her username is literally lesbiancaterer. But she still gets like comments on her videos saying “are you straight?” or “her boyfriend must be a lucky guy” and it just makes her go “????? How could I ever make this clearer?” (once, in a collab with Marvin, one comment said “ahh, her and her bf are such #relationship goals” which then launched a very satirical, very deadpan boyfriend tag video with her and Marvin that made it abundantly clear just how fucking gay those two are).

Charotte first got introduced very very early in her videos bc once during a drunk kitchen, Cordelia cut her finger with a knife and called for her girlfriend and Charlotte went into complete Doctor Mode and started treating her immediately. Cordelia is a little tipsy at that point and starts blatantly flirting with her and calling her “my doctor” and that video’s comment section is just keysmashing and the phrase “my doctor.”

Cordelia does not try to hide her relationship in any way. She and Charlotte have done all those cute couples tags and Charlotte is the star of Cordelia’s social media and vlogs. Now they are #relationship goals.

Cordelia actually got into Youtube bc of Jason and everyone was like lowkey shocked when it turned out that these two popular but different youtubers knew each other and cameo in one another’s videos a lot and Cordelia is like “he is literally my godson, guys. Ofc I’m gonna be around him and support him.”

Whizzer

Type: Ohhh boy!! Whizzer is def the kind of youtuber that has been around on the platform since circa 2007 - are you even gonna try to fight me on that??? He is a fashion channel (also has like a series of the youtube version of fashion police) but also like a major storytime channel bc he’s been around and tells the craziest but realest stories of all time. He is also quickly considered The Gay Icon^tm of Youtube.

He is definitely one of the biggest youtubers on the platform but he also lowkey feels too old to still be on here and has that like Shane Dawson kinda feel of like keeping it real about youtube drama and rebranding himself and learning from stupid old videos when he was still like a shit 20-something that was lowkey problematic. 

He stans so hard for Britney Spears and Carly Rae Jepsen and he got Carly in one of his collabs and he could not stop smiling and fangirling and he is literally all of us.

He is very, very vocal and honest about his sexuality and sexual history. He has a lot of Body and Sex Positivity videos and speaks very bluntly about the importance of self-esteem and body image and safe sex.

(One of his most popular videos is the one with him candidly speaking about having HIV and he talks about his mistake with unsafe sex and all the terrible stigmas around the topic. He talks about how it’s both a physical and emotional struggle, and he also talks about treatment and awareness and prevention and seeking emotional help to combat depression).

He arranges a collab with Jason bc they are alike in that they always speak candidly about issues and struggles and have like the exact same sense of dry, almost scathing humor. Whizzer meets Marvin bc Marvin is like “Jason, there is no way you’re meeting a strange man who you met over the internet. I am definitely going to be the one that goes with you.”

(Awkward moment when Marvin and Jason get to Whizzer’s apartment, and Marvin and Whizzer’s profiles light up with one another from one of those websites like Grindr). Whizzer has like lowkey commented on Jason’s videos before with lewd comments about his hot dad, but like this is so not what Whizzer had been expecting?? Yeah, at the end of Whizzer and Jason’s collab video, Whizzer puts like a small blooper reel and it’s him continually flirting with Jason’s dad (who’s behind the camera) and the Internet suddenly has a new fave ship.

(Marvin and Whizzer totally messaged each other and hooked up like the next day).

But like, they keep the budding relationship very underwraps bc they both really don’t want it to affect Jason’s channel and neither really think at first that their whole arrangement will go anywhere close to serious because Whizzer has never been in love or had a steady boyfriend and Marvin cannot hold a relationship either even after his divorce.

But of course they fall in love, and of course the internet knows something’s up. Whizzer keeps vaguing on Twitter about the new man in his life with weird tweets like “I can’t believe I’m deliberately sleeping with a man who UNIRONICALLY knows every word to Allstar” and “get you a man who always sends that courtesy ‘thank you.’ text after you send him a dick pic.” And when Whizzer vlogs, he always makes sure to keep the camera trained on himself but you can see that his eyes are always looking away as he’s like smiling at someone who does not want to be on camera. Also, Jason’s weekend vlogs have cameos of Whizzer in them now.

They mess up when in one of aforementioned Jason’s vlogs, there’s a grainy clip of Marvin and Whizzer in the background and Marvin kisses Whizzer’s cheek. The internet loses their minds

(After nine/ten months of dating, Whizzer and Marvin abruptly break up and neither really acknowledges it. However, weeks after their break up, Whizzer decides to make a story-time video about this fucking asshole boyfriend that broke up with him over a chess game. He wanted it to be like both petty but also very funny because that is such a ridiculous story, but like when he’s editing it, he notices himself being like on the verge of tears in some parts and being overly bitter and tense, and he never uploads it and he realizes that he isn’t over Marvin like he had said he was).

(However, Whizzer does end up making a story-time video later about how Jason’s baseball game brought him and Marvin back together).

After they get back together, they’ve worked out their issues and are couples goals now and they do not hide their relationship and Marvin makes cameos in both Whizzer and Jason’s videos/younows and it is incredible.

Through Jason and Marvin, Whizzer and Cordelia meet and they become best friends. They collab all the time and they complain about queer struggles and they talk about their relationships and get drunk on camera and be weird, loud idiots and those videos get tons of views.

And Whizzer gets candid about how he’s always felt like alone in the world and hasn’t really had the opportunity to rely on anyone but himself but through Jason and Marvin, he meets Cordelia and Charlotte and Mendel and Trina, and even though they might not get along all the time and some people are closer to other people, they’re all his family and he never thought that he’d really have one that close before. It’s one of his most vulnerable videos.

The most successful videos on all three’s channels are the collabs of the three of them together: Jason and Cordelia and Whizzer. And they become like one of those Youtube cliques that collab all the time and tweet about each other’s videos constantly and always hang out with one another at all the events like Vidcon and Playlist Live.

So what we’re seeing is both Instagram users and brands reacting, and engaging with the comments sections more so than ever. As a brand, this is the place to be if you want to catch the eye of new followers!

How Did This New Instagram Comments Trend Start? 

Late last year, users started seeing changes in how comments were displayed in the Instagram feed. Comments, especially those by celebrities and larger accounts suddenly became much more visible as you scrolled through your followers’ posts.

Now, the Instagram algorithm tends to show the 2 most recent comments from verified accounts directly underneath the post’s caption in your feed.

Dubbed a “sticky comment”, this is a prime location for influencers, brands and celebrities to get exposure on a follower’s feed.

But that’s not all. The algorithm is so smart that sometimes it will show you comments from profiles that it thinks will be of “interest to you”. So based on who you follow and engage with the most, it will highlight relevant profiles in this “sticky comments” section too. It’s a new way to help users discover more profiles on Instagram.

That’s why sometimes you might see comments from profiles (they’re not always verified profiles, but usually do have a strong following) that you don’t follow, or have never seen before highlighted as a “sticky comment”:

For example, you might follow HBO and a few of the cast of Game of Thrones like Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke on Instagram. So the next time you see a post by HBO on Instagram about Game of Thrones, you might spot comments from other cast members like Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams in that top comments position. The algorithm has learnt that you’re interested (read: obsessed!) with all things GOT, so it’s going to show you other related profiles in the “sticky comments” section.

From a brand perspective, the algorithm is working hard to pull together the relationships between profiles — defining what things you have in common with other brands that might interest to your new, prospective followers.

Here’s an example from The Cut: they shared a photo of Russian Doll’s star Natasha Lyonne. The top two comments in the “sticky comments” were from Rebecca Ramsey (fashion director at The Cut) and fashion designer, Marc Jacobs.

As a user, you might tap into either profile to learn more about them, or see how they’re related to The Cut brand.

Instagram comments has become a game changer for increasing a brand’s exposure with very little effort — even if you don’t post new content, your comments on related brands and businesses, could still appear in a follower’s feed and attract their attention.

And while being verified definitely does help you get to that top spot, it’s not essential!

The hugely successful Instagram account @CommentsByCelebs really optimized on this Instagram algorithm update and based their whole content strategy around extracting and sharing screenshots of celebs commenting on other celebs’ Instagram posts.

In a podcast interview with Who? Weekly, co-creators of the @commentsbycelebs Julie Kramer and Emma Diamond said: “We picked up on the [new] algorithm… We would follow celebrity accounts to specifically see how they were commenting on each others’ posts”. And from there, they dedicated their page specifically to sharing these hilarious celebrity interactions.  

After humble beginnings in April 2017, the pair have grown the account to over 1M followers, and each post exposing the daily quips, chats, and shoutouts between celebrities like Justin Timberlake, Drake, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Chrissy Teigen receives tens of thousands of likes!

Because it’s a little bit like reading someone’s DMs, right?

“Oh wow, don’t they look so good today?” your friend asked, squealing beside you. You glanced up from the notes you were writing and followed her gaze out across the courtyard.

In the middle of the grass were the seven most popular boys in school, laughing and joking with each other. It was well known that each of them came from affluent families, but that wasn’t the only reason they were popular. On top of being extremely handsome, each of them had their own charms. Some were more rambunctious than others, but all of them did relatively well in school and were genuinely nice their fellow classmates.

You, on the other hand, were not as well-known. Or maybe you were, but it would only be a reputation of being the nerdy know-it-all that always had their head stuck in a book and answered all the questions in class.

“Ah, Jackson is so handsome,” you friend sighed in a dreamy voice. You hummed in agreement, but as you looked at the boys your eyes kept going back to one of them in particular.

He was arguably the most energetic and ‘extra’ of the group, notorious for going around the school and dabbing or some other trend. You hadn’t even talked to him since you were younger and you wouldn’t know where to begin if you had to talk to him again.

“Hey, Y/N, are you even listening to me?” your friend asked, pinching your arm. “Stop staring at BamBam,” she added, a smile in her voice. You jumped a bit from the sudden pain but then rubbed your arm while glancing at her.

“Sorry, what did you say?” you asked.

“I said you should ask him to prom,” she said, giggling lightly. You rolled your eyes and shook your head.

“Ha ha, very funny,” you said, sarcastically. You friend checked her watch and then began to put her books in her bag.

“I’m serious! You guys would make a cute couple!” she exclaimed, throwing her backpack on and standing up, stretching a bit.

“Shut up,” you mumbled, ignoring her laughter as you walked to class.

You walked into your calculus class a few days later and immediately sat down in the front row. You watched your classmates trickle in and to your surprise, BamBam walked in alone and headed towards you. Early in the year your teacher saw that BamBam was a bit…rowdy…and opted to move him in the front. Of course, this didn’t stop the boy from making class more fun, but it was definitely nice to have BamBam sitting next to you in one of your classes.

You sat in silence, pulling out your notebook and flipping to a new page as you prepared yourself for the day’s lecture.

“Hey Y/N,” a voice said, pulling you out of your concentration. To your surprise, BamBam was looking at you with a smile.

You paused for a moment, unsure if he was talking to you, but then you realized that he had used your name. Why was he talking to you? You had spoken in passing when you were paired for a lab or when you had to ‘discuss with your neighbor’ but you hadn’t been close since you were young and hadn’t even had a real conversation in years.

“Oh, um…hey…BamBam,” you responded, trying to be casual and not betray how nervous you felt. You were actually talking to the boy you had liked for years and you couldn’t think of anything to say.

“Where’s Yugyeom? I thought you guys always came to class together,” you asked, trying to come up with something to say.

“He’s sick today so I guess you’re just stuck with me,” BamBam said with a smile. You felt your heart flutter in your chest and you couldn’t think of anything else to say so you simply nodded and turned back to the front of class.

When the teacher began to lecture you found yourself unable to focus on what she was saying. You kept stealing glances at BamBam and wonder why he had talked to you. Was it just because you were sitting next to him and he was trying to be friendly? Or maybe it was because his friends weren’t there and he didn’t have anyone else to talk to. Either way, you felt happy even to have spoken to him for a little while.

Your happiness began to fade when, out of the corner of your eyes, you saw a folded up, pink piece of paper land on BamBam’s desk. You glanced around and saw one of your classmates giving him a wink and you immediately turned back to the front. The teacher was busy scribbling on the board and you watched BamBam unfold the piece of paper and read its contents. You didn’t have to wonder though because you already knew what it was.

You watched as BamBam took out a pencil and circled something on the piece of paper before tossing it back to the girl and turning back to the front. A moment passed when suddenly the teacher spoke.

“Excuse me, Miss. Park,” his voice boomed. “Passing notes in the class is not appropriate,” he said, causing everyone in the class to turn to the girl who was now pink in the cheeks. You noticed that it was one of the more popular girls in school but she had always been rather mean to you, teasing you for being a loner and actually enjoying school.

“I…I’m sorry, sir,” she stuttered, slightly embarrassed. The professor motioned for her to go to the front of the class to which she stood up.

“Perhaps you’d like to read it aloud for the class?” the professor asked with an evil smile on his face. The girl held the note that was still folded but smiled with confidence. You sighed, knowing that BamBam had probably just agreed to go to prom with her and now she was going to bask in her glory in front of everyone.

“Of course, sir,” she said with newfound confidence. She opened up the note and smiled down at it as she read it aloud. “Will you go to prom with me? Circle yes or no” she said, reading her own writing first with a smile. “Sorry, but…I…?” she trailed off as the smile disappeared from her face and was replaced with a scowl.

“Continue,” the teacher said, now also intrigued by what the note said. The girl breathed heavily and her tone changed to one of annoyance as anger showed on her face.

“Sorry, but I’m already planning to ask someone,” she half-shouted. She threw the note down and glared at BamBam who was sitting with his back to her. You peered at his face and saw that there was a slight smile on his lips. “Are you kidding me?” the girl continued to yell, angrily. The teacher sat back in his chair and let the drama unfold, smiling as well.

“Sorry, are you talking to me?” BamBam asked, turning to face her with a smile on his face. The girl crossed her arms as her face became a bright shade of red.

“Obviously! Are you really going to say no to me?” she shouted. Half of the students looked shocked while the other half looked as though they were about to start laughing. “And for what? Someone you haven’t even asked yet??” she shouted again. BamBam just gave her a shrug and then turned back to the teacher.

“I’m sorry, Mr. Han, this must really be interrupting your lecture,” BamBam said with a cheeky smile on his face. You let the grin you were fighting come forth to your lips and you looked over at the teacher who was sipping his coffee.

“Oh no, this is my favorite part of class,” he said, casually watching the rest of the students who had broken out into whispers.
