I haven’t seen the Man From Uncle, but now I want to hear about the plot points that were clearly included due to the writers fetishes

the amount of episodes in which one of the leads (usually illya, played by david mccallum) gets beaten and/or ends up in bondage ALONE would be too many to list here but it is egregious how overtly and often it shows up; but to give you an example here's napoleon (robert vaughn) getting whipped by guest star robert culp in the fourth episode of the show:
