It annoys me how I talked about how nice the fandom was earlier this year, like I went on talking about how nice everyone was and how I loved being a apart of it, now it has left a real sour taste in my mouth seeing how much people hated on everyone and how toxic people can be

I think I know why IkeVil hasn't really clicked for me. And it is mostly because of its name lol. I was hoping for actual Villains, people with questionable morals. But really so far they seem like people who really aren't bad people and because of that they can't really own it. Right now only one who actually seems like a "bad person" is Jude and I hope his route will be released soon in EN version.

If they had named the game Ikemen Curses or something like that, I wouldn't mind it that much. I know this is very nitpicky but I can't help it. Everything in this game screams that I should like it. The aesthetic and the UI design, the setting and the sound scape. But alas... Right now I feel a bit meh. I hope it gets better. I like the characters a lot tho, whenever they act like a weird family. : D

(I have only tried William's and Liam's routes. I changed to Liam's route from William's at chapter 15 or so because I just wasn't feeling it.) EDIT: I'm just being nitpicky about semantics. A villain and an anti-hero are two different things. I just like it when media that I consume commits to the "bit". Were it morally gray or even black or the most wholesome heartfelt thing. And also the fact that I have not dwelled into IkeVil's JP release and have not spoiled myself at all about things. These opinions might change in due time. The game might surprise me in the future. Just like IkePri did.

this has been sitting here awhile (since march 30th sorry) but here we are. This isn't well put together this is very much a rant apologies

my hot takes mostly boil down to how Liz is treated, by harry stans and extension some fans of, a certain ship. And how one story in particular is talked about.

if you don't see Harry and Liz as loving each other romantically etc that's obviously fine but like.. idk Liz is an important person and important part of Harry's life (they literally have a son together) and I just see her get either ignored or pushed to the side SO much by harrystans it's insane to me.

Liz is such an important person in Harry's life and even Peter's, I know the writers themselves forget this but she and Peter are also in fact, friends. but you would think she hasn't been within twenty feet of him by the way certain fans act. And, disclaimer, I ship parksborn, I like Peter and Harry romantically a lot but I think some fans really come off as 'ignoring female character in favour of my m/m ship'.

Outside of this, it really frustrates me the way I've seen harrystans talk about the story The Child Within, as, due to how I saw it talked about I didn't even know Edward Whelan (also known as Vermin) was.. the actual main character of that story and who that arc was largely about until a friend told me otherwise. Despite the numerous and many problems there are with Edward Whelan's character (being racism and antiblackness) the way I've seen people act as if the child within is actually about Harry and Peter, two white characters is not great in the slightest.

Also, lastly, as much I love him, some things are just not about harry and that is fine.

Yes, this is really cool. And here are some fun facts about these stones from a geologist to keep in mind! These apply to both people looking at these for themselves as well as artist and writers.

If you are using any of these gemstones in jewelry you need to keep the hardness in mind. Fluorite is very beautiful but it has a hardness of 4. You do not want it on rings, bracelets, or long necklaces. Any jewelry where it may bump up against things is a no-go because it will get scratched and any cut edges will be ground down. For reference, glass has a hardness of 5.5. Fluorite would still be fine for earrings, chokers, or crowns. It is also often fluorescent!

Several of these have been treated in some way. Anything with "mystic" in the name has been coated to get that effect. Most sapphires are heat-treated to get that deep blue color. Most citrine is treated as well to get that color as natural citrine is relatively rare.

Labradorite can have many colors, but it's not going to be pretty at every angle. These pictures are taken at the perfect angle where you can see the brilliance of the labradorescence. It'll be this grey-blue to grey-green rock that flashes blue or yellow at the right angle.

This is one thing that I really want to stress. Wulfenite is my favorite mineral. It is full of lead. Please for the love of whatever god you may or may not believe in, do not put that against your skin.

Some of these are dyed. The purple agate and jasper are dyed. For agates, if they're monochromatic and something bright like purple or blue, that's dyed. Howlite that is not white is dyed. Howlite is commonly dyed turquoise for use in costume jewelry.

Inclusions, such as rutile, can be really beautiful but are also technically an imperfection in the stone. It can be a weak point where the gemstone may break in the future. That's just because it is literally one gemstone inside of another.

The ways you can cut and mount these depend on different properties of the gems. Some minerals, like labradorite, are opaque. Cleavage planes can affect where a stone can be cut as it can cause breakage in the gemstone.

A lot of these are varieties of a different mineral species. Amethyst, citrine, and smokey quartz are all varieties of quartz. Agates are also just a microcrystalline variety of quartz. Beryl has a lot of gemstone varieties such as aquamarine, emerald, morganite, goshenite, and heliodor. (Note: chrysoberly is not a variety of beryl. It's a completely separate mineral)

Diamonds are more common than you think.

Pearls are classified as gemstones for gemological purposes but they are geologically not rocks. They're organic and made by oysters.

I would have liked Maeve if she was written better and she actually lived.

I am such a big advocate for Spencer finding love (that is not JJ because I will not stand for that man be a home wrecker) and Maeve and him may have had something if she got him to help her and they got to spend more on screen time together.

Hell even if they didn’t stay together for long, at least we could have had a better ending than the girl LITERALLY dying.

i don't hate maeve so much as i hate the maeve plotline! i think strongly dislike is a really good phrase to use when talking about my feelings towards maeve's character.

as a character, she's super flat and one dimensional. i think she and spencer were "together" for eight months(?) and the episode where you learn the most about her is the one where she fucking dies. i've spent all day thinking about this and im beginning to think that part of the reason why she is a mary sue is that spencer tends to put people he cares about on pedestals and ignores their flaws.

and youre like "what flaws does she have if you barely know anything about her" and okay i'll tell you:

b-12 and magnesium as a treatment for migraines is fucking insane. i'm not saying it couldn't work, but all through season 6 (re: 6x12 "corazon") spencer is seeing doctors and anyone who has ever dealt with a fuckass chronic disease/illness will tell you that a blood panel like that would be one of the first steps in reaching a diagnosis!!!

why on god's green earth would you have a stalker, be dating an fbi agent, and not let your fbi agent boyfriend help you? i have been stalked before!!!! it's not fun!!!!! i'd take all the help i could've gotten at the time. this has always rubbed me the wrong way because oh my god the solution was right there the whole time. he could have protected you! he would have protected you!

i know they weren't technically doctor/patient but there is still some weird power dynamic in their relationship that gives me the ick. other than they're smart and they read, they really dont have much in common.

their relationship to me is equivalent to the girl i dated online after we met through percy jackson fan accounts. i.e. not really a relationship. most of their interaction was off screen and i think that did a huge detriment to the plot.

in the end, i think the maeve storyline and 8x12 "zugzwang" is a hard watch. i can't take it seriously. i'd skip it, but then i'd miss so much blake content (and hotch looks so good in that episode sorry spencer) (not into the fuckass bob in season 8). at the same time, i know it was like... mgg's idea and i'm pretty sure he's friends with beth riesgraf. (he loves to traumatize himself idk). but the whole thing gets messier when you think about the implications left by 14x15 "truth or dare" and the abhorrent jeid plot in season 15 where it's insinuated that spencer has been in love with jj for fifteen years (zoinks) and it's like what about maeve??? i don't know man (gn) i could go on for hours about this

that being said, i see a lot of people not liking the actress who plays maeve. i am telling you that it had to have been the writing or the directing in the episodes because beth riesgraf is incredible. she played a character named parker in the tv show leverage (one of my favorite tv shows of all time) and let me tell you That Is Her Role.
