adding another topic to the small pile of ones I should not be reading online debates about
#pickle pontificates#i mean watching people get really heated about stuff is normally fun and kinda addicting but there are maybe. hm#like three topics now? where i really need to actively stay away from them online because every single person has an extremist opinion#and leaves no room for discussion or nuance and also jumps straight to demonization of the other side#and they're things i care about pretty deeply#so i really want to hear what people think#but i just end up scrolling through and endless parade of two opposing but equally dumbass takes sprinkled with death threats#and it does not enhance enrich or challenge my worldview. it just makes me mad#so i think i just need to recognize that and start actively staying away
