This is so funny to me...
There's this video called "No, You CAN'T Fix Him- These 4 Anime Men Are Beyond Saving" and of course, Sukuna is one of those four (the other three were Griffith, Eren and Light).
And the guy narrating was like "and this is your hear me out" after listing how Sukuna is evil, he's the embodiment of all those bad things, yadda yadda.
He mentions little later how the ironic thing is that Sukuna is somewhat fixable as at the end of the manga it took him to be defeated to realize he could take a different path and called that his "redemption" but then I thought about that.
Geniune question: would you call his end his "redemption"?
The way I see it, just because a character recognizes what they do is wrong doesn't mean they're redeemed or at least, entirely. They have to really put in the work to prove they want to change and make up for their faults.
In the afterlife, Sukuna admits his faults and decides to take a different path for a chance of reincarnation with Uraume. It's up to imagination as to what could happen to them after that.
Sukuna may have chose to go a different path, but does that mean his life completely around? No, he's liable to repeat his actions depending on the situation he is born into. But does that mean he will repeat those bad actions? Also, no.
I don't think Sukuna's end was redemption. But him becoming enlightened that he could live however he wants and he doesn't have to choose the same path as before. That for once, do something different. This is his chance for redemption.
That was the thing about him. Sukuna had a repetitive life. Eat, kill, put fear into people and repeat. After his complete defeat, he then thought "Alright, yeah, I did all those things, but how about I take that chance to do something different with my life?" Say what you want about how Sukuna feels about Yuji and vice versa, but the two will think about what the other says to him.
Sukuna did take in account of Yuji's words of "what if your life could have been this".
Now, as for "fans wanting to fix Sukuna"?
I don't see it.
Take it from someone who is a Sukuna fan and have seen what other Sukuna fans say about him.
Yes, some talk about him having a sad story and have their fantasies, but I don't think I ever seen a Sukuna fan ever actually want to fix Sukuna.
In fact, his evil nature is one of the reasons why he's a "hear me out".
Yeah, seen "Sukuna can have a soft spot with me" or whatever, but not "I can change him to be completely good".
Heck, even in AUs, Sukuna still has mean streak. He's still kind of a jackass.
Now I'm sure there are fans who think they could "fix him" to a totally different character or whatever.
But from what I have seen? Sukuna fans, at most, don't actually want to fix him.
The video may talk about other characters, but this is one of those times I feel like people kind of have this thing to make fun of fans of JJK men, who mostly are women, like "Oh my gosh, they're so weird, they're so delusional" and no matter how you say your words... it's ridiculous.
Any guy who makes of a woman for finding any JJK man attractive, better have that same energy for their homeboy crushing on any JJK woman or any animated woman.
In general, I hate this thing where people act like only female fans like animated characters for their attractiveness and "want to fix that character" (and half the time it ain't it) and then call them "delusional and weird" (let's stop with those words) when sir, I just seen you post the YGO "It should have been me, not him" meme pertaining to wanting this anime woman to wrap her legs around your neck and choke you until you pass out.
#i rambled more than intended but I'm sick and emotional#also... who is trying to fix light? the only light i have seen people wanting to fix is a lightbulb#i don't know much about griffith or eren so i can't speak on them#but anyways... yeah i haven't seen fans trying to fix sukuna let alone any of the jjk men to be honest#like I'm sure there are some fans but not so much that it's like very common#just kiya's thoughts#jjk#jujutsu kaisen#jjk spoilers#jjk manga spoilers#sukuna#ryomen sukuna

"I'm done blaming myself for your mistakes"
This line by Vi pretty much sums up her conflict in Act 1 of season 2, but I have yet to see it discussed. The point is, in fact, that Vi does blame herself, which is why she is unable to properly call Cait out. If Jinx specifically were not the one responsible for Cassandra's death, I doubt Vi would have stayed silent in front of Cait calling Zaunites animals or that she would have accepted many of Cait's actions without saying a word.
Vi still feels at fault for Powder becoming Jinx, which makes her vulnerable and willing to compromise on her morals, so that Caitlyn would not leave her. Ironically, I think this behavior is among the reasons why their love story does not work out in the first Act. They fail to communicate properly.
On the one hand Cait treats Vi badly. She insults Vi's people and insists that Vi should become an enforcer, despite her knowing of Vi's painful past. Obviously this is wrong, but personally I think it stems from Caitlyn's poor attempt to reconcile her love for Vi with her hate for Jinx:
"Three faces keep spinning through my mind. I see mother when they found her. And every fiber of me just sinks like in dark water. But then there is Jinx. Laughing. I want to tear that laugh from her throat forever. Then I see Vi. I asked her to put on the uniform. Suffice to say, she declined."
Cait's solution is to have be become a part of her society, so that she can keep on hating Jinx and the "bad" Zaunites, while loving Vi and the "good" Zaunites. Except it obviously does not work.
On the other hand Vi is unable to call Cait out. And the whole point is that Cait needed someone to call her out. She is grieving, but she is obviously becoming like the enforcers she once despised. Like the enforcers Vi despised. She negates Cassandra's legacy, by using her ventilation system to poison the air. She acts cruelly against a man, who is unharmed and who has clearly been hurt by that same gas she weaponized. She is ready to shoot a child (even if she does not intend to kill her), so that she can get at Jinx. Vi clearly sees all of this, which is why she asks Cait not to change:
Vi: Everyone in my life has changed. Promise me you won't change.
However, she fails to confront Cait about it all. Except that when you are in a relationship, you must feel secure and free to call the other person out. Even to get into a fight with the other person. Still, Vi is so terrified of losing Cait too, that she is indecisive. And in the end she is tragically left behind by Cait.
This happens because Vi herself has not yet decided who she wants to be. Is she a Zaunite or an Enforcer? Does she want to kill Jinx or not? Vi can't choose. Jinx even calls her out on this:
Jinx: Plastering my face all over, so someone else would do your dirty work?
She tells Cait she wants Jinx dead, but the moment she can kill Jinx she doesn't. Sure, Isha comes between them, but after Cait disarms Isha, Vi could pretty easily take Isha away from Jinx and let Cait kill her sister. However, she does not. That is clearly because she sees Powder in Isha. Jinx and Isha embraced are clearly representative of who Jinx is as a whole. She is an unstable terrorist, but she is also a hurt child. That is who Jinx is and that is what Vi (and Jinx herself) needs to see and to reconcile. Even now, Vi insists that Powder is dead and that only Jinx remains. However, Jinx is Powder no matter how much Silco, Jinx herself and Vi insist she isn't. She still clearly is.
It is just that Powder has changed, but this is normal. Just like it is normal Vi herself has changed and will need to change again, so that she can decide who she really wants to be. Just like Jinx and just like Cait will have to do.
As a side note, I am loving the foiling between Cait and Jinx. They have always been foils, but while last season focused on how this juxtaposition impacts Jinx, right now we are seeing how it impacts Cait.
In season 1, Jinx sees Cait as Vi replacing her. In a sense, Jinx's jealousy of Vi stems from that same inability to accept change. Jinx too deep down hopes she can go back to being the innocent Powder and that Vi can love her, like she did in the past. However, that is not possible because people change and forge new relationships. Jinx forges a bond with Silco she can't simply erase because Vi wants to. Just like she can't erase the one with Vi simply because Silco wants to. Similarly, Vi has a new bond with Cait that she can't break simply because Jinx asks her to. So, Caitlyn is really who Jinx wants to be. Someone complementary to Vi in battle, but also reliable, dependent, lovable. By the end of season 1, Jin realizes she can't really be that person anymore and interiorizes there is a part of her Vi can't understand. That same part Silco instead accepts.
Silco: Don't cry. You are perfect.
In season 2, Jinx becomes Cait's dark side. She is really Cait's Joker, as she is the one who challenges Cait's sense of justice and morals:
Cait: It's her blood in your veins. Vi: Then why are you the one acting like her?
Cait is letting grief and pain change her for the worse, just like Powder was transformed by her own losses and traumas. Cait keeps insisting she is different from Jinx, but she isn't. In fact, her whole fiasco kinds of hint at it symbolically. Cait poisons the underground city in her attempt to catch Jinx. Only for Jinx rewinding the ventilation system, so that the poison Cait used is sent back to Piltover. Jinx literally acts like Cait's mirror, which is why Cait's shot ends up hitting exactly this, a mirror. As in, Cait can't really kill Jinx without hurting both herself, Vi and the whole city :P
I am curious to see how their foiling will develop, now that both girls are growing into the leaders of their opposite factions.

Tony stark with a male model
A one night stand but tony catches feelings . After pursuing him they get in a relationship. But everyone (avengers) thinks its not gonna last , since they kept it secret for readers career
I love your writing ,its the gift that keeps on giving
OMG, I love this idea and it features my favorite avenger :) Just the idea of Tony being with another person in the limelight and who (perhaps) can relate to the idea of no privacy is pretty cute. I let my imagination go wild on this.
Runway Lover
pairing: tony stark x male reader tags: one night stand, flirty male reader, Tony changing your mind, he's really thoughtful, doesn't have clear timeline, nor does reader have a set age but he's definitely younger than Tony
Tony Stark rarely found himself preoccupied with anyone’s interests but his own. He’d lived a life of fleeting conquests, glitzy parties, and elaborate inventions that somehow never failed to fascinate the world—or himself. But you? You’d strolled right into his life with the confidence of a runway model (which you literally were) and changed his entire perspective on what an “entanglement” could be.
The party in the middle of downtown Manhattan was alive with spinning lights and pulsing music. Tony had been invited to some high-end charity event—something he would normally treat as an opportunity to flash his new suit design or advertise Stark Industries’ philanthropic side. Yet that night, all Tony could focus on was the man who’d caught his eye the minute he walked in.
You.
Truth be told, Tony had recognized you from one of those glossy magazine covers Pepper brought in. You were a rising star in the modeling industry, commanding catwalks in Milan, Paris, and New York with effortless poise. Meeting you in person sparked something in Tony’s chest he couldn’t name—a certain curiosity, maybe even a challenge. He was used to everyone swooning or falling over themselves for him. You, however, looked him straight in the eye and gave a smile that suggested you already knew exactly the effect you had on Tony Stark.
He wasn’t used to being read so easily, and he found it irresistible.
The conversation began with harmless banter: Tony dropping flirty one-liners, you leaning in with a mischievous grin. One thing led to another—fingers brushing, pulses quickening. By the end of the night, between hushed whispers and more than a few stolen glances, you both decided to head to Tony’s penthouse.
It wasn’t Tony’s usual approach to actually stay the entire night. Typically, he’d offer breakfast as a courtesy (or an excuse for himself to sneak out gracefully). But he ended up lingering long enough to watch the sunrise with you, feeling strangely at ease simply lying in bed, listening to your soft breathing. In the morning, you parted ways without much fuss—no exchanging numbers, no promises. You had your whirlwind schedule to get back to, and Tony had a million-dollar empire to run and the Avengers to help manage. Both of you knew it was just supposed to be a one-time thrill.
Except Tony couldn’t stop thinking about you.
Days turned into a week, and Tony found himself replaying your smile, recalling the shape of your body beneath him. When he realized he couldn’t get rid of the memory, he did what Tony Stark did best: he acted. Discreet queries here and there. A call to a major modeling agency friend. Casually dropping your name at events in hopes someone might have your info. Finally, he got his hands on your direct contact. Did it feel a tad stalker-like? Maybe, but Tony told himself that was exactly how the world of the rich and famous worked. And he had to see you again.
So began the flowers, the text messages, the “spontaneous” run-ins. At first, you were taken aback by Tony’s sudden interest; you never pegged him as the persistent type. You expected him to forget all about you, chalk the night up to a fling. But the man who invented an arsenal of Iron Man suits was not about to let something slip through his fingers once it piqued his interest.
He invited you to lavish dinners—private and away from paparazzi. He’d take you for helicopter rides at sunset, then drop you off at your next shoot as if it were nothing. He even started learning about haute couture, reading up on modeling contracts and runway schedules just to find ways to accommodate your time.
After weeks of Tony’s relentless flirting and genuine displays of interest, you gave in. Soon, you found yourself falling into a relationship with the billionaire genius…only, you both agreed it had to remain hidden for now. Your modeling career hinged on maintaining your “single, adventurous lifestyle” image, and Tony’s unpredictability threatened to overshadow everything if the press got wind of the two of you.
Sneaking around turned out to be oddly thrilling. Despite Tony’s larger-than-life persona, he excelled at hush-hush getaways—he had the resources, after all. When you weren’t busy traveling for fashion shows, you’d slip into Avengers Tower late at night, or Tony would appear backstage in a private dressing room, carefully timing his visits so no one would suspect a thing.
You knew the risk. Tony was a big name, an unpredictable man with a big personality. You and he were from two completely different worlds, each with its own demands. Models traveled, Tony saved the world. Some nights you worried it would never work long-term. But every time Tony caught your eye, or snuck an arm around your waist in the privacy of a quiet corridor, or whispered how he was grateful you put up with him—every flicker of tenderness reminded you that there might be something real here. Something that transcended your celebrity images.
Tony never missed an opportunity to reassure you. He’d leave encouraging texts right before a big runway show: Knock ‘em dead, handsome. – T. When your schedule exploded and stress weighed on your shoulders, he’d whisk you off on the Stark Industries jet for a day trip somewhere scenic, telling you to breathe. And when you asked him why, when he could be juggling a dozen different things, he chose you?
He always had the same reply: “Because I want to—and because you’re worth it.”
One night, after a particularly grueling day of photo shoots for a designer brand, you arrived back at your apartment to find Tony on your doorstep. He was leaned against the wall, wearing worn jeans and a T-shirt, a baseball cap pulled low. By his feet was takeout from your favorite Thai place.
“Tony, what are you—?”
He shrugged, lifting the bag. “You’ve gotta eat. Also, I was hoping to see if you were free this weekend. I wanted you to come to a small Avengers get-together. I mean, it’s not the big official gatherings—just us plus pizza. Real low-key.”
You blinked. “Wouldn’t that, you know, raise eyebrows about us?”
Tony lifted an eyebrow, lips quirking in a half-grin. “They already have plenty of suspicions. Besides, I…kinda want them to see what I see. When you’re comfortable, of course.” It was a giant step. You knew that the Avengers had never been exactly sold on your relationship. But Tony’s eyes were sincere, and the warm feeling in your chest let you know you were ready to stand by his side.
That weekend, you arrived at a casual get-together in an understated jacket and simple jeans, hardly looking like the runway star the world knew you as. Tony’s eyes lit up when you walked in. A few heads turned—Steve, Natasha, Clint, Bruce, and Sam, plus a couple others. Tony slid an arm around you in full view of everyone, a gesture that spoke volumes. The silence was brief before Sam cleared his throat, stepping forward to greet you warmly. Soon, the hush turned into chatter, and you realized that while there were still a few raised eyebrows, there was also acceptance.
No big announcements, no press releases. Just you, Tony, and a handful of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes sharing pizza and jokes around a low table in the living area of Avengers Tower. Later, as you took a moment to yourself on the balcony, gazing over the sparkling city, Tony joined you. He offered you a soft grin. “Not how I usually do relationships, you know.”
“Oh, I’m aware,” you teased, leaning into him. “But I appreciate it.”
You felt his arm tighten around your waist. His warm breath brushed your ear as he murmured, “I want this—us—to last.”
The city lights twinkled below, but you barely noticed. You turned and caught the gentle gleam in Tony’s eyes. Maybe the Avengers’ doubts would linger for a while, maybe your modeling career would keep forcing you into secret entrances and locked doors. But standing there, pressed against Tony, the noise of doubts and naysayers faded into the background. Because when Tony Stark said he wanted something to last, for once, it didn’t sound like just another promise on the fly. It felt real.

Random Batfam Headcanon:
The batkids have different levels of separation for when Bruce is Bruce and when he's batman
Jason has zero separation. For him they are one and the same and it's largely the cause of their issues. He can't separate the vigilante from his dad. He refers to Bruce and batman interchangeably.
Tim is on the opposite side of the spectrum. To him Bruce and batman are completely distinct individuals. Tim viewed robin as almost a job that you clock in and get your hours. There are aspects of tim that are integral to his vigilante work it is not his central identity. While he understands that it's not the same for Bruce and that Batman is more than just a job for him, he still applies a similar mentality towards him. In the mask or while doing anything related to vigilante work he's batman. If he's giving any degree of an emotional display, he's Bruce.
Dick's the most in tune with Bruce's state of mind. It doesn't really matter if he's in uniform or not, his distinction between batman and Bruce is more based on behavior and context. Sometimes he might look like Batman but one of his kids are hurt and the only person he can be is Bruce the dad. Sometimes he's out in civvies in public but every muscle is tense and dick knows he's looking at batman not his dad.
Damian, very much like Jason, struggles to separate Bruce from batman. To him they're one and the same. His Dad is Batman. That's what he was raised to believe and to him Bruce is inherently always Batman. It causes some tension for him too, but not as much as it does Jason.
Cass is similar to Dick but to a lesser degree. She's able to tell when his actions comes from Batman the vigilante versus Bruce the Dad, but, to her, the separation isn't as important as it is to her brothers. Bruce and Batman are both two parts of the same person and to Cass he will always be the combined whole
Steph doesn't really see a difference between Bruce and Batman. But to her them being the same person doesn't really matter. Idk neither Bruce nor Steph really give that much of a shit about each other. They tried to work together, it was a train wreck. They just kinda coexist when they need to and ignore each other's existence when they don't.
Duke is still figuring out where Bruce ends and Batman begins. Ironically he might have the healthiest approach to this. He understands that Bruce and Batman are two identities with a lot of overlap so his separation has less to do with identifying what's going on with Bruce and more just keeping the identities separate for security purposes. In the mask he's Batman because Signal can't be caught calling him Bruce. Any other time he's Bruce because Bruce Wayne is not a superhero, no siree.
Bonus:
For Bruce himself Batman is his true identity. Bruce is only slightly more real than Brucie. I don't remember if it was in a comic or a show, but there is a scene where someone subjects Bruce to a truth serum or something to find out his identity and we find out that even in his inner monologue he thinks of himself as Batman not Bruce. He has his own distinction and is able to compartmentalize his more vulnerable and emotional sides when he needs to. But we all know Bruce isn't great at emotionally removing himself ever.
Conversely, for Alfred, he is always Bruce. Cowl or no cowl, that is the boy he raised and it will always be that way.
#This is genuinely what i keep in mind when im writing fics#like Jason's internal dialogue uses bruce and batman interchangeably#while tim is very intentional about which identity he refers to#lena speaks#batman#dc comics#tim drake#robin#batman and robin#jason todd#bruce wayne#dick grayson#red hood#Nightwing#red robin dc#damian wayne#stephanie brown#spoiler dc#cassandra cain#Batgirl#orphan#duke thomas#signal dc#dc headcanon#batman headcanon#batfamily#batfamily headcanons#lena's headcannons

Congrats on your milestone! 🥳
For the prompt:
I enjoy your Buck & Bobby stories and I would love some Bobby & Tommy bonding. Maybe Bobby gives Tommy the secret ingredient for the lasagna that he haven't even given Buck yet?
no pressure, if it sparks joy 🥰
thank you! it does spark joy, so naturally i wrote some angst. i'm so sorry, i don't think this is exactly what you were looking for!! sorryyyyy. IOU one (1) fluff
It's purely a coincidence that Bobby sees him first, as he's coming back from calling Athena to make sure she'd got back from work okay. Tommy's just stepping into the station, looking around - eagerly, Bobby thinks at first.
"Hey, Tommy. This is a nice surprise," he says, and the way Tommy almost flinches at the sound of his voice makes him think it's more like anxiously. "You're looking for Buck?"
"Yeah. Sorry, I know there's a few hours left of your shift."
"That's okay. I sent him and Eddie on a supply run so provided they don't manage to start a riot somehow they should be back soon."
"Oh, that's - sure, I'll just go - " Tommy half turns to head back outside.
Since Tommy came back into their lives, Bobby has been pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to read him. Of everyone at the 118 when Bobby first arrived, Tommy was the most locked down, the slowest to open up. He's a pretty open book nowadays, and not just with the way he looks at Buck. Right now though, there's more than a hint of that stiff, cautious young man Bobby first met.
"Tommy, is everything okay?"
"Um. Yeah," Tommy says, but there are unshed tears in his eyes all of a sudden, and his lips are pressed tightly together.
"My office," Bobby offers. "C'mon."
Tommy hesitates, and Bobby gets a hand on his elbow, not about to take no for an answer. Tommy tenses for a second but then his body sags, giving in, and he lets himself be walked up the stairs and past the couch. Chim looks up from his phone with a grin, but Bobby gives him a minute shake of the head, and he settles back, looking troubled.
Bobby steers Tommy into his office and closes the door. Tommy sits in the same chair he'd sat in all those years ago, when he'd admitted to Bobby how much he missed flying, and they'd started working on his transfer. Bobby doesn't put the desk between them this time, leaning against the corner of it instead.
Tommy's eyes are on his hands which are in his lap. Which are shaking, Bobby realizes.
"What's up, kid?"
"My, uh. My dad died," Tommy says, and it sounds like he's surprised that he let it come out.
Bobby's been enjoying getting to know this new, realer version of Tommy, and he thinks they're well on their way to being friends, but he's very aware that he's not the one who's needed here right now.
"You want me to give Buck a call? Get him back here?"
"No, you don't have to do that," Tommy says. "I'm fine."
Bobby privately thinks that if Tommy was actually fine, he'd have waited out the rest of Buck's shift instead of walking into the station looking like he has a fingertip hold on his composure.
"Okay," he says.
"Really," Tommy says. "We hadn't even spoken in ten years."
As though that will make it less complicated, rather than more so.
"It was, uh. Liver cancer, in the end. Ironic, really," Tommy says, and then falters, looking like he wants to clap a hand over his mouth.
Bobby feels like he has a sense of where this is going, and he tips his head. "Yeah?"
"Sorry, that was a shitty thing to - he was in recovery for a long time."
"I'm sorry to hear that, Tommy."
"Yeah. Yeah, it was. Well, you know."
"Yeah."
Tommy rubs a hand over his eyes, like he's embarrassed about a complicated relationship with an alcoholic father. Bobby aches for him, sneaks a quick glance at the clock, trying to estimate how long it'll take Buck and Eddie to get back.
"He actually…he'd been sober since a few years after I got out of the army. Didn't start working the program until I was enlisted, but it finally stuck. It didn't make him a good person, but he felt like it did."
"Yeah, that's a risk," Bobby admits. "I guess Buck told you about my - "
Tommy's laugh sounds a little hollow, but his smile looks genuine. "No. In the nicest possible way, I could see you white knuckling from a mile off."
Bobby reevaluates some of how cautious Tommy was around him to begin with.
"Yeah, you do get good at spotting the signs," he allows. "Mostly in other people, in my case."
Tommy nods. "I have a lot of rules," he says. "No neat spirits. Not after a bad shift. Not alone."
"You stick to 'em?"
"Mostly. All the time, lately."
It's Bobby's turn to nod. "That's good."
"My cousin's organizing a funeral," Tommy says suddenly. "I don't - do I go?"
Bobby's well aware that Tommy probably wouldn't have deliberately come to him with this, but they're here now, so he takes a careful breath and asks, "Do you want to go?"
"I want - " Tommy looks away, knuckles at his eyes. "I want a dad I could just grieve."
And oh boy, does Bobby get that. He squeezes Tommy's shoulder, although what he really wants to do is scoop this mountain of a man into a hug.
"Whatever you decide," he says, "You have people in your corner, Tommy. You're going to get through this."
Tommy nods. Says, "Yeah." And then, "Yeah," again, with a little more belief behind it this time.
Bobby draws breath to speak, but before he can, he hears the thundering of footsteps up the stairs, the familiar sound of Buck and Eddie bickering. Tommy straightens up, half turns in his chair, like even with a door between them, he's orbiting around Buck just like always.
Bobby crosses to the door, and leans out to call, "Hey, Buck. Get in here, please?"
"Aw, Cap, what'd I - " Buck says as he shoves the last of his bags into Eddie's overloaded arms and heads to the office. "Tommy? Babe, what are you doing here?"
"I'll leave you boys to it," Bobby says, patting Tommy's shoulder on his way out of the door.
Tommy looks up, catches Bobby's wrist. "Thank you," he says, his voice thick.
"Any time," Bobby tells him, meaning it. There's a lot more he means too, a lot more he could say, but he can see Buck practically vibrating as the anxiety ratchets up so he takes his leave, shutting the door behind him.
In the kitchen, everyone else is in a deeply unsubtle huddle, and they look at him expectantly. He shrugs and nods his head at the bags on the island.
"That stuff gonna put itself away?"
They grumble but get to it, and Bobby sends up a silent prayer that the alarms stay quiet for now. It's answered, and Buck comes out of the office alone ten minutes later and beelines for Bobby.
"Hey, can I - "
"Take him home," Bobby says. "Look after each other."
"We always do," Buck promises. "Thanks, Bobby."
"Everything okay?" Eddie asks, the designated spokesperson for the peanut gallery, Chim and Hen at his back.
"Call you later," Buck offers, heading back to the office to collect Tommy.
"C'mon, I know for a fact you all have jobs," Bobby says with a clap of his hands that sends them scattering, trying to make sure Buck and Tommy have a clear run at the exit without being accosted by any well-meaning enquiries.
The two of them pass him a minute later, Buck speaking too quietly for Bobby to hear, and Tommy nodding in response. He watches them head out, sees the way Buck gets an arm around Tommy's waist, the way he looks steadfast and solid, ready to shoulder the weight of this with Tommy. He sees the way Tommy leans into him, like he's ready to let Buck do it.
Yeah, Bobby thinks. They're going to be okay.

My first ask not about the goldie fic but I want your opinion: do you think Bill had a crush on the pharaoh? Because he really hypes up how he was obsessed with him, while the evidence shows Amenemhat was one of the least interested humans he partnered with, and he still doesn't seem to harbor much ill will by Bill standards. He also kinda overtly says he tried to flirt with him and that he was thirsty (for friendship). I feel like their relationship was different from most of the others, and is focused on the least.
Also do you think he was into the shaman. Because their non-portal-realated relationship is elaborated on the most and he seems to hold the biggest grudge, but it could've also just been a particular rare respect.
I think Bill has two kinds of crushes.
Bill gets 🩷crushes💕 on people that, like, have traits he generally finds attractive, whatever those are. Amenemhat III wore a big hat and built three pyramids, maybe Bill's into that, idk. We don't know much about their dynamic. If things don't work out with these crushes he's like, whatever, he moves on. These crushes are like a game to him.
On the other hand, Bill gets 🔥CRUSHES🔥 on people that make him go "they just like me fr." And here I'm using the word "crushes" to also cover platonic relationships—it doesn't necessarily mean he wants to make out with them, just that somehow he's forged an iron-hard emotional chain with them that he craves to be reciprocated. (the other crushes could also be platonic, but I think they tend to tilt more toward romantic by default.)
Bill strikes me as the kind of guy who goes through life thinking Nobody Could Possibly Get Him so when he runs into the rare person that he does think gets him, he latches onto them like a crocodile onto a baby hippo—and it's just as likely to end either with the prey dead or with the predator getting a few teeth knocked out.
And these are the ones Bill gets bitter and resentful over when things fall apart.
But look at what we know about the shaman: when Bill offered him a way out of his world to explore the secrets of the universe, he jumped at the opportunity; they got intoxicated together; they stargazed together; the shaman taught Bill something he didn't know, which has gotta be rare at a trillion years old.
Ford, obviously, is one of these people to Bill, and the shaman sounds like he's got a lot in common with Ford—curious knowledge-seeker, "the wisest of his tribe." Shaman also sounds like he's got a lot in common with Bill, partying with aliens, enthralled with the stars. I think Bill thought the shaman got him, and that he was not just furious but devastated when that fell apart—and we only don't see the full impact of that because Bill's had nearabout 4000 years to cauterize those wounds.
The shaman was a 🔥CRUSH🔥; the pharaoh was a 🩷crush💕.

germanics as bfs
part 1
ft. germany, prussia, austria, switzerland

germany // ludwig beilschmidt.
- This man struggles to settle down in a committed relationship, preferring flings and quick one-night stands. It's not because he's against it, but rather he thinks it's hard to find someone to accommodate his… specific tastes in the bedroom; plus he's so busy he can't imagine fitting a partner into his life. But once he has a partner, he is SO committed. Like planning-your-one-year-anniversary-getaway-a-month-into-the-relationship kind of committed. He tries not to go overboard with it, but he does enjoy thinking about hitting these milestones.
- Ironically he ends up getting in relationship with friends, his coworkers, people he spends the most time around with, most likely in a work setting. He’s a stickler for the rules though, which makes him hesitant to blur the boundaries between work and his personal life. However, once he starts really noticing this person--maybe the way they're always dressed nice, or hardworking, or always has a smile for him--he's fucked. They invade his thoughts at the most random moments, and it makes him want to avoid them. Thankfully he has friends (cough Italy cough) who notice his little crush and persuade him to do something about it.
- Please don’t even mention wanting to get fit to this man. He goes overboard, devising a workout plan, a nutrition regimen, etc. He can be a bit draconic with it too, wanting to push you to be your best.
- While he's not the most emotionally available partner, he is the most reliable. If you complain that your heater not working, he's fixed it by the next day. If you're nervous about approaching your boss about an issue, he suggests you practice with him. If you're sick, he's getting you all the Vitamin C packets, soup, and tissues he can find, stocking you up with them before leaving for work.
-He's rather touch-starved, so he appreciates a partner who is more tactile. He loves when they hug him from behind, or let him rest his head on their lap and card their fingers through his hair. It's the one moment where he doesn't feel like he has to be quite so uptight.
prussia // gilbert beilschmidt.
- He is so the type to be in a friends with benefits situation. He's pretty clueless about romance. 💀 Or not clueless, but... willfully ignorant. He’s more likely to fall into a relationship by being buddies with someone, then sleeping with them, and a few months in realizing oh shit. He actually really likes them. Like more than as a bro.
- Gilbert is nothing if not crafty, so he wants to figure out what you think of him first. He asks around--your friends, other nations, etc. If you ever talk about him, if they know if you're dating someone else, etc. It's so funny because it's painfully obvious to everyone else that he has a thing for you. In fact, Gilbert is possibly the last person to realize you two are a thing...
- He is actually very easy to please. Just praise him. He’s used to hyping himself up to make sure no one forget him. It means the world when someone genuinely thinks he’s great or awesome. A sure fire way to get him emotional is if you cancel plans with your friends to hang out with him. Of course he’s old and he wants you to go have fun! To live a little. But saying that he’s exactly your kind of fun is enough to have him getting a misty-eyed before hurriedly saying that it’s allergies or something.
- He's a very fun boyfriend. He's never quite let go of his childish side. He is very much the type to make pillow forts with you and/or play co-op with you video games. For movie nights, he enjoys picking movies that he thinks will scare you so you'll end up clinging to him, asking him to protect you. The reality is, if anything he is the one getting more disturbed by the kinds of movies they put out nowadays, more than you do. 💀
- In public, he's definitely walking around with an arm around your shoulder. He's just so excited that everyone will know he has such a smoking hot partner.
-You know what, Gilbert is surprisingly good at comforting you. Part of it is experience, but if you're upset, he's not letting it go. He'll keep pestering you to open up to him. And when you finally do, he'll hug you to him, stroking your hair and calling you affectionate nicknames while reassuring you that as your great boyfriend, he'll certainly deal with any of your problems...
austria // roderich edelstein.
- He composes songs about you. He can get quite in a tizzy due to his perfectionist streak, appearing visibly agitated if the song isn’t going exactly how he wants it to.
- He is a strong believer in having dinner together if you’re living together! he thinks it’s a good habit to get into.
- Roderich is actually quite sweet. He sends you good morning and good night texts, and always texts you throughout the day on your lunch breaks, etc., asking how certain appointments or events went in your life.
- Roderich is a fan of appearances, and he is definitely getting you several high-quality Swarovski gifts. It doesn't matter that he's secretly a cheapskate who patches holes in his underwear--he wants you to only have the finest.
- Do you know those people who flirt via critiquing you? That's Roderich. With you, he's never actually cruel though.
-He is the perfect gentleman when dating you. Always pulling out the chair for you, paying for you, etc.
-He likes receiving massages from his partner. He's also a fan of relaxing in the tub, with scented oils and incense.
- He likes people who are quick-witted, fast enough to catch onto his sarcasm.
- He enjoys taking you to the opera, or to see plays or theater performances. He feels like the arts are not nearly as important as they once were.
- One of his favorite hobbies is to people watch with you. The two of you will sit down at a cafe, have some tea, and just make observations about the people around you. For him sometimes it’s great inspo for music. Other times it’s just great fodder for gossip lol.
switzerland // vash zwingli.
- His love language is definitely acts of service and gift-giving. He likes making you gifts or bringing you gifts his country specializes in. Watches, chocolates, etc.
- Of course you’re going to have to have annual trips to the Alps. He’ll do his best to teach you how to ski, but he’s not exactly the patient… he’ll be damned before Italy or that damn France try and teach you though.
- On the rare occasions he goes out to eat, he likes to get fondue. He thinks it’s somewhat intimate to eat with another.
- When he gets drunk, he’s actually kind of a sloppy drunk. He never really gets drunk though; he can hold his beers. He also tends to be the one to keep things together if you get too tipsy. He wants to ensure he can take care of you.
- He is very impartial, so if you want an honest opinion he’ll give it to you. Even if you’re his partner, he will call you out on your behavior as a neutral third-party💀 In his opinion it’s more important for you to grow than for him to coddle you.
- He has such a hard time with letting people know you’re dating. He doesn’t like other people getting in his business; he prefers his privacy. At first, he refers to you as a business partner, then as Lily’s friend, and then as his friend… and then eventually, when he sees another nation flirting with you, he decides it’s time to make it clear you’re taken for, and wraps a protective arm around your waist.
- He likes giving forehead kisses. Sometimes regular kisses feel almost too intimate for him. Plus when you make eye contact after ending a kiss… he gets a bit flustered. He likes that a forehead kiss is quick and easy but does the job. It’s… efficient even.
- He would definitely teach you how to shoot if you were up for it. He wants you to be able to defend yourself.
- The biggest indicator of whether you two will last in a relationship is if you get along with Lily and treat her like your own little sister. If not, Vash doesn’t see this relationship progressing and will cut things off.

No More Chances:
Fate's Prologue Assessment
CUT!
Let's review your scrip again, yes?

• Regression is the act of going back or a return to a past.
• You can guess what types of manwha I've reading.
• That's the AU for this fic that I intended for Y/N to have.
• Regarding about their past, I have mentioned that they have been regressing far too many times, reliving a new and yet still old life.
• Answer to why so many resets is possibly because of the 'butterfly effect' or something where even repeating resets can achange the outcomes because of the new actions you perform.
• Y/N might have done something that was different from 'the script' that led to a bad outcome resulting to another reset.
• The past or Y/N's original life is permanent and can never be change.
• Y/N will always come back as the young abandoned orphan of Bruce Wayne, who was neglected and forgotten in favor of his other children.
• Resets can only happen when Y/N is literally killed, Y/N does not have the power to control it, if Y/N want to reset, you know what you have to do, that's the price you must pay.
• Life is precious and if you want to play with it, it'll cost you your own life and sanity.
• I headcannon that death already know about this but decided not to interfer, it's not like you're an actual immortal or anything, I guess you can say you're already punishing yourself by caging your fate in a loop hole.
• Going back to the backstories, everything is a bit blurry but will be revealed by flashbacks (That's what happens when you keep **** yourself).
• Y/N remembers their mother but not her face or voice, they remember moments with them but only the fleeting ones, their touch, the warm kiss on your forehead and the cold hands that touched your bloodied cheek before it drop to the ground.
• Y/N is born and raise as a Gothamite more so on the poorer parts of Gotham.
• It's a bit ironic that Y/N's backstory is almost the same as Bruce if not for a little difference in narrative, A young mother finally earnings extra money from work and took her kid out for some mother and child bonding as a request for their birthday but the night ended with a robber being a little trigger happy and shot the mother in an alleyway grabbing all her money and possesions while leaving the traumatized child to watch their mother's life leave her body.
• Commissioner Gordon arrived at the scene and couldn't help but reminiscent a little wayne boy also sitting on the cold concrete floor of crime alley crying for his parents death years ago.
• Implied that in the next parts that Y/N will become mature and more far off than the other version of her.
• Y/N might be a kid again but they remembered some of their supposed 'ending' and in return gain more than enough trauma.
• It might be a little bit corny or too much but I want Y/N to be a little petty or hateful to the rest of the family in the upcoming interactions.
• Only acting nice and patient around the rest when you face them, they're detectives I know but how are they gonna find out when your fake acting doesn't really matter from the rest of their problems am I right?.
Lil tiny note : I want this fic have a lil angsty with some comedic stuff would that be alright?
That's all I got for now but if any of you guys want to add more traits for your own Y/N you guys can add it down.
Let's take 5!
I'll prepare for your next lines, ok?

〖 = ✧ = 〗
Do you guys want me to tag you on this stuff as well or just on the main story?

love your writing 🥰 shinchiro alphabet???
Author's Note: Thank you! One Shinichiro for you 🫴
For our 3000 follower celebration!

A = Aftercare (What they’re like after sex)
Honestly, Shinichiro acts a little drunk and goofy afterwards dfhakfjsk. He's more giggly, more open and vulnerable, and he's usually the one who needs to be grounded before you can continue on with your day/night.
B = Body part (Their favourite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
Shin is a handyman through and through — that is, he likes his hands and yours the best.
C = Cum (Anything to do with cum basically)
His cum is a little bitter, but otherwise it's unremarkable.
Likes having your cum on him, especially on his face.
D = Dirty Secret (Pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
Shinichiro wishes you could incorporate more puppy play into your sex life. He'd love nothing more than to be your good puppy, leashed and at your command for days on end. Your praise and soft dom attitude are all he would need to be happy~
E = Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they’re doing?)
Bro has no idea what he's doing… obviously, he knows what sex is, but he has zero experience. Shinichiro doesn't even watch porn, so he's going into everything mostly blind.
F = Favourite Position (This goes without saying. May include a visual)
He heavily prefers to be face to face, so any position that allows that is nice; missionary, cowgirl, sitting in your lap. Ironically, he also enjoys spooning that leads to sleepy sex. Having your arms wrapped around him is comforting.
G = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc)
Shinichiro is a little goofy. He makes some pretty terrible puns/dad jokes. It's adorable, albeit awkward 😅
H = Hair (How well groomed are they, does the carpet match the drapes, etc.)
He doesn't trim or shave at all, and yet, Shinichiro has the most beautiful, picturesque bush you've ever laid your eyes on. Literally everyone, regardless of gender, would be jealous of how pretty his hair is down there. He has a lovely happy trail as well ❤️
I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect)
Very intimate, very romantic, to no one's surprise. He cherishes every moment that your touch connects your bodies together.
J = Jack Off (Masturbation headcanon)
I'd say he jerks off a healthy amount. Shin definitely prefers to do it in private though, not a fan of jacking it out in the open for anyone to walk in on.
K = Kink (One or more of their kinks)
Hair pulling, CNC, and size difference 100%.
L = Location (Favourite places to do the do)
Just in your home/apartment is fine. Maybe possibly in his shop, if you're careful.
M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going)
Having his waist touched, when you touch his lips, hearing you talk about how desperately you need to be inside him. Things like that 👌
N = NO (Something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
Brazenly public sex. Sorry, but Shinichiro does not want to be the center of attention in that way. x_x
O = Oral (Preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc)
Both are good. He's come to really enjoy a nice 69, because that gives him the best of both worlds!
P = Pace (Are they fast and rough? Slow and sensual? etc.)
Fast and sensual OR slow and rough are his favourite combos 😌
Slow and rough sex is the quickest way to make him cum, and sensual sex is the easiest way to get him into sub space.
Q = Quickie (Their opinions on quickies rather than proper sex, how often, etc.)
They're alright, but he would prefer proper sex please. Pumping a quick load into him before work can be really exciting, but you should be prepared for proper sex when he comes home later~
R = Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.)
On occasion, yes. It all depends on what kind of risk we're talking about. He is into CNC, so trying out more kinks that are considered "risky/dangerous/etc" isn't entirely off the table, you just have to sit down and discuss it, of course.
Things like new positions, edging, using toys in public every once in a while are doable as well.
S = Stamina (How many rounds can they go for, how long do they last)
Shinichiro could handle having sex multiple times per day, you just have to give him time to recover in between. Multiple rounds in a row is less likely, not unless you're ok with Shin falling asleep right afterwards 😅
T = Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?)
Does he own any; not really. If you get him a dildo or something, he's probably not going to refuse it, but he won't use it on himself either. Now, if you request to watch him fuck himself with something, he may oblige 👀
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
Not a tease at all. Shinichiro will attempt to tease you, but it's clearly a halfhearted attempt, and he'll drop it quickly if you just keep on with what you were doing.
V = Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make)
Perhaps surprisingly, he's not a noisy guy during sex. He's not completely silent, but his moans are sparse and a comfortable volume. He hisses or inhales sharply more than anything.
W = Wild Card (Get a random headcanon for the character of your choice)
Shinichiro loves spit. He spits on his own cock whenever he masturbates, enjoys when you tell him to open his mouth and then spit in it, and his cock will stiffen immediately if you spit on it.
X = X-Ray (Let’s see what’s going on in those pants, picture or words)
I can't decide which one I like the idea of more: Average dick Shin, or big dick Shin. I'm leaning more towards average, 5 inches and not very thick. His dick curves upwards prominently, and his tip gets super red when he's aroused.
Y = Yearning (How high is their sex drive?)
Moderate, I think. He's not a horny animal 24/7, but Shinichiro can get in the mood quickly if you know how to get him there.
Z = ZZZ (How quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
Depending on how long you fucked, he could fall asleep right after the fact. But more likely, Shinichiro will be able to remain awake, even if that means he's a little drowsy and cute.

Separate from that other anon I for one would personally love to hear your Peri and Harbinger/Foxglove headcanons
OMG YAYYYYY. I HAVE QUITE A FEW ♥ (for my own convenience i'm referring to them by their og series names for reasons)
the events of timmy's secret wish are what first planted the seeds of genuine, fully positive feelings and fondness for poof in foop's mind and heart... maybe even a puppy love crush. he seriously thought "well, dying in poof's arms wouldn't be so bad" and hoped that wouldn't awaken something in him. it did.
in a lot of episodes they often have differently colored eyes - foop has a darker shade of purple. i think poof's noticed, and i think he even likes the look of those darker eyes.
given how foop would cry out for poof to protect or save him, i think that poof grows to be incredibly protective of foop… poof will square up for his square!!!
hes the one telling cashiers that foop asked for no pickles, imho ♥
at some point poof stopped intervening in foop's nefarious schemes so i've kind of interpreted poof as just... not caring anymore. he can't stay mad at foop for long, and he finds himself not even bothered by whatever damages he ends up causing anyways. i think he might even find his antics amusing.
after the events of certifiable super sitter, foop actually feels comfortable with admitting that poof is his best friend-
it'd take a few more years to admit it to poof's face, though, it's too embarrassing for him! he'll gush to chloe constantly, though - she knows he's in love with poof before either of them does.
foop's first boyfriend was actually their mutual friend sammy sweetsparkle in high school, while poof had kind of an on-and-off puppy love situationship with goldie... until he kind of flipped out on her about constantly getting foop's name wrong in the middle of a jealousy induced break-down. foop was actually thrilled to hear that poof let his dark side show over wanting to be with him.
sammy and foop ironically broke up on good terms because sammy's best attempt at understanding the fairy/antifairy situation is that they must be soulmates and he didn't want to stand in the way of true love. he's their second biggest supporter.
technically poof confessed first but his confession was literally just screaming IF I DONT SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE WITH YOU I AM LITERALLY GOING TO BLOW SOMETHING UP!!!! at foop, which was a love confession that would only appeal to foop.
chloe TRIED to plan the "perfect" first date for them but it was horribly awkward and not to their tastes. so instead their first REAL date was poof taking foop to a kelly clarkson concert where they got matching "my life would suck without you" t-shirts.
poof actually buys - WITH HUMAN MONEY, IN A HUMAN DISGUISE - every kelly clarkson album as it releases for foop.
they nearly elope several times but got caught by wanda every time. wanda doesn't really like the fact that poof is with foop but doesn't wanna turn into mama cosma about it so she comes to terms with it. she doesnt want them to just run away and get married when she doesn't think they're ready yet either, though. timmy has to be the one to appeal to foop's desire for attention to convince them to have a big wedding after they graduate. poof doesnt care whether he has a big wedding or just elopes - as long as foop is his. if foop wants a big wedding, that's what they'll have.
whenever people ask how long they've been together they tend to go silent because their first instinct is to say "about 50 years" even though they're only about 22-24, and they've only officially been a couple for about 6 or 7 years. foop's second instinct is also to say "from the very first moment i drew breath" like the dramatic weirdo he is. which isn't even accurate and they both know it.
literally so specific to my own little homebrewed post-canon that you can't even pretend it works with anw:
in my elaborate fanon after AC and AW abandoned foop in season 10, poof begs wanda to find someone who would be willing to take foop in. luckily, wanda knew just the fairies for the job.
after getting adopted foop changes his name to foxglove thimbleplight - poof changed his last name to thimbleplight when they got married so he becomes periwinkle thimbleplight. :3
they still call each other poof and foop - usually in the form of embarrassingly cheesy affectionate nicknames. we're talking "smoopy-poo" level cheesy usage here.
(actually that one still works with anw but the art i drew is clearly my own designs and not the anw designs and it's exceedingly cheesy so)
poof convinced foop to go to the fairy academy with him - initially foop was hesitant because he… wants to… but… antifairies cant become godparents, right??? poof was willing to do literally anything it would take to keep foop by his side though. he initially considers manipulating some poor unsuspecting godparent to quit on their godkid just so he can hijack the ensuing fairy idol for foop to win and take their job… it's devious, and he knows foop would have loved that he did something so malicious just for him, but in the end he just gets into a fight with jorgen and the fairy council about it. he argues that technically foop is legally a fairy now since he was adopted by fairies, so he should be allowed to become a godparent. they end up agreeing.
their relationship was kind of a controversial issue in fairyworld for a few years because of poof's high profile status - while they're not the first fairy and anti-fairy couple, they're the first recorded instance of a fairy coupled with their own counterpart in eons. the media did get bored of them eventually though.
they already wanted to get married after high school but they agreed to postpone the wedding until after they graduated from the fairy academy so they had enough free time to make it as over the top as foop wanted it to be. poof actually proposed to foop AGAIN with a diamond ring after they graduated from the fairy academy, even though they were technically already engaged - with the intent of being as over-the-top dramatic and annoying to the rest of their classmates as possible.
^ which is similar to what cosmo and wanda did as teens though details differ. cosmo is literally the only one who seems to realize this and audibly goes "WOW, DEJA VU..." when this all happens.
while wanda had to get used to poof and foop together, cosmo accepted it pretty much immediately. mostly because sometimes they reminded him of himself and wanda. (<- actually canon)

Revisiting S5 E14 Derision, and Making it Work
It's *easy* to dunk on Derision. I won't rehash all the holes here. What is harder is actually doing better... or so you would think.
What follows is a back-of-the-napkin idea I threw together in about 5 minutes. So I hope it doesn't meet with universal... derision. 🐈⬛
Reworking this episode reaches back earlier into S5 and recasts one of the side/new characters... but bear with me it's to good purpose. When you're creating a pivotal pre-canon character moment 5 seasons in, there's going to be a little collateral.
It begins with... Socqueline.
Socqueline was NOT Marinette's savior at FDP. In truth... she was Marinette's bully. She was everyone's bully in fact. She ruled FDP with an iron fist. Teachers were afraid of her, and no not her dad, her. Socqueline is the one who terrorized Marinette and pulled the awful prank. The prank that was bad enough that she was expelled. Marinette meets her unexpectedly at the craft store, and is instantly a yr younger and in shock.
HOWEVER
Socqueline is still the one pretending to be Ladybug. She's still the one trying to help people. She's still kind and helpful and Marinette is so very confused! You see, being expelled, having to be in an entirely new environment, and even just a year of change and reflection has made Socqueline a different person. She has grown and is trying to do good to make up for being bad before. Why is she done up like Marinette? She's not! She's done up like Ladybug. She's emulating her hero and inspiration. (who is of course, Marinette).
This already gives us some really good changes.
1)We have a valid reason for Marinette to not have seen/wanted to see Socqueline until S5. you don't go seeking out your former bully.
2)We have a cover for why Marinette hasn't reacted to stimulus before now. She was 'doing good' until she crossed paths with Socqueline and after that. *bam* right in the Trauma. It doesn't matter that Socqueline has changed, trauma is trauma. Marinette hasn't processed it yet, so it gets stoked.
3)Have Kim think Socqueline's pranks were funny. He's Kim, he's thick as two boards, at least he's not gushing about how hot another girl is right next to poor Ondine. It leans into Dark Humor just fine on it's own. Skip the Adrien/Chloe scene for a Marinette/Socqueline scene where Marinette brings up the event to Socqueline and how much it impacted her. have Socquline apologize(she did back in Jubilation for everything, but have her also for this specific thing) have it end on a hug, how nice.
Already we're doing much better! But wait, there's more!
We cut Chloé out of Derision! What does this mean? If she wasn't Marinette's bully doesn't this mess everything up?
No, not really.
Chloé wasn't Marinette's bully pre-canon in any meaningful way. She didn't rule the roost. She only stepped up once Socqueline was expelled, trying to fill the power vacuum/rule the roost/be the new Queen. She's just really bad at it. This explains why the class and even Marinette react to Chloé even in S1 with a sort of exasperated resignation and Marinette isn't even remotely afraid to snap back at her. It's not 'Oh no she is such a bully' it's 'oh God, Chloé's on her shit again.' She's still a brat, mean, and entitled. We're not rewriting any of that. She'll even be an antagonist in S5, but we're going to lean more heavily into Lila/Gabe/Tomoé actively manipulating her, much like in S3. She's not evil, but she's very easily persuaded to be bad.
you see- What we've done with Socquline is foreshadowing. We've shown someone who WAS a bully, who changed when their environment changed and they found the right motivation/inspiration. So when Chloé is going down in flames in S5 we're going to build organically on the parental abuse into the manipulation by villains. We seek to inspire frustration with her, revulsion with those manipulating her, agony that the manipulation all goes unseen, and of course sympathy for everyone who has to deal with it. However, we've also set up the seeds for a future where her environment changes, where a new motivation/inspiration comes in, and where we get convert her from brat to ... okay maybe not GOOD person but at least a decent little porcupine. 🤣
We've even given Marinette a firsthand experience that change CAN happen. Which is something she didn't have the first time around with Chloé during S2/3.
So, what do y'all think?

I'm curious if you have anything more to say on the fight at the start of ep8 between Agatha and Rio. Like, about anything, the face acting, why this was Rio's last straw, why Agatha was surprised it was Rio's last straw.. Or just how good they looked lol.
Fuck, am I really going through these scenes to screencap them again? I guess I am. Let's pretend it's an extra deep dive.
Agatha has just left Lilia behind dealing with the Salem Seven. She was acting super casual and unbothered with Lilia, but as soon as the door of the iron maiden closed and Jen started screaming, she bolted. And she's running now and she looks terrified, but of what? The Salem Seven killing her? Or Rio catching up with her now that more bodies are dropping? Does she feel particularly guilty about Lilia's death, after seeing her display of incredible power and grace in the trial? All these things together probably, and whatever she's running from, here is her face when she sees Rio ↑
Then she has to close her eyes and steel herself like we've seen her do so many times, she was completely unfiltered a moment ago, terror showing plainly on her face, and now she's trying to regain control, but notice how it doesn't quite work: she's too shaken and her true feelings are still showing. Also heartbreaking and maddeningly stupid that she feels the need to hide and posture in front of Rio who is just begging for the opposite.
It's also interesting that Rio, as angry as she is, takes the time to tell Agatha that the Salem Seven are dead and she can relax and stop running – at least from them. Despite putting on her angry face, despite being determined to confront Agatha this time, she still wants to make things easier for her too. But it's no coincidence that she mentions Alice and Lilia, we saw her reap Alice's soul at the beginning of the episode, and right here? She just reaped Lilia. Like, that literally just happened. And it's obviously affecting her. Add to it the whole issue with Billy and Agatha's general behavior, is it any surprise that Rio is upset?
The finger pointing, the pursed lips and strained smile. "Here you are, breaking rules and breaking my heart again. And here I am, letting you do it like the fucking loser I am." I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really like Aubrey Plaza's more subtle acting choices.
And the more she talks, the more Rio gets subdued. She stops acting menacing and scary and you can see vulnerability coming through. I know how you feel about him. I watch you just as close as you watch everyone else. This walk with another's woman son. This is Rio trying to keep it professional when it couldn't be more personal. She's hurt, she's jealous, she's lonely. Fuck, why can't Agatha acknowledge it?
Meanwhile Agatha is just fidgeting and grimacing and shaking and trying to deflect and run away from the conversation. Rio, even when she sets out to yell at Agatha, ends up trying to reach out and communicate and do the emotional work instead, she still wants this to work so much. Agatha won't let her. She won't move an inch.
You call what you did special treatment? Look at all that venom, dear lord. Here we have Rio practically begging Agatha to see things from her point of view, to at least try to understand. Agatha, in pure Agatha fashion, grabs her pain like a weapon and starts slashing. She's jealous of her pain, she protects it, she feeds it. It's what helped her survive. Carrying around those three swords in her heart is the only way she knows how to function, no matter how agonizing they are.
You know when a parent is trying to reason with a toddler, and they sit down at their little table and say stuff like, "I know that you're angry, but your words are making mommy sad," and the toddler inevitably throws a pen or yells or calls them names? And the parent just wants to slap that little shit, and it takes them a hot second to collect themselves? Yeah.
Unfortunately, despite her best efforts, Agatha is not a toddler and Rio shouldn't have to do this. It's undignified, it's unfair, it's too painful. Rio is supposed to be her partner, not a surrogate parent.
And Rio does collect herself, and she keeps trying. Look at her body language, she's leaning back, tentative, less intrusive. She did the same thing when she was trying to help Agnes, she pushed a little, and when Agnes recoiled she stepped back and regrouped. She's pretty much spoon-feeding Agatha at this point. "Okay, let's talk about the case" becomes "Okay, let's talk about Nicky. I know it's hard but I'm with you. One step at a time. I only need to figure out the best way to save you from yourself and then everything will be fine."
This is what Rio has been doing, watching Agatha and studying her, acting like a therapist, trying to ease her out of her pit of despair as Agatha yells and throws stuff at her. And what I find really poignant is that Rio is literally the physical embodiment of balance, but she's going against her very nature and putting Agatha before everything else, even herself. Rio loves Agatha that much. And it's wrong. It's not sustainable. No wonder Rio lashed out so spectacularly at the end of the episode, she needs to feel big after shrinking and shrinking and shrinking in front of Agatha.
And yes I still love that Rio the Agatha wrangler has managed to calm her enough to sit and talk. Defenses are tentatively lowered, Rio's plan for getting through that thick skull is going splendidly. Or not.
Agatha is not letting Rio have her way, not even for a second. She's going to make it as hard as she can. And like I said in my deep dives, despite all she is still expecting Rio to always come back, no matter how much shit she throws at her.
There is a lot to be said about the way Agatha is addicted to hurting people. It is an addiction, it's her main/only source of endorphins at this point. It makes her feel powerful and in control of the narrative. And it's a vicious circle, she punishes people so when they lash back she can go, "See? See? They hate me, I was right, I was justified!" Rio was only feeding that addiction by coming back over and over again to let herself be pushed around.
Hey, Agatha? You don't want Death to look like someone just kicked her in the stomach. You literally took her breath away, and not in the fun way.
You dumb fuck.
Wow, this is still really fun to do, despite it being maybe the two of them at their lowest.
You know what? If you guys want you can send some other scenes my way, especially from the first episodes because I didn't comb them that thoroughly. And Agatha's scenes in WandaVision too, I want to watch those again. But only one scene per ask, please.

Grocery Shopping Headcanons 1
I said I'd do these a while back and someone requested I do them when I was taking requests for my 100 followers event so uwu)/ one request fulfilled!! There will be a part two with the others coming eventually...Once I get through the rest of my requests.
____________
Umemiya Hajime
-One of the funnest people to go grocery shopping with tbh.
He's talking you into buying a few extra snacks/food by holding them up in front of you and puppeting them at you, asking in a silly high pitched voice if you'll please buy them because they've heard your pantry is the best vacation spot in town! He gets so silly with it.
-The older people in town tell him when and where the best sales are, which makes budgeting a lot easier. Don't tell anyone, but sometimes if one of them is in front of you in line, they'll have the cashier use their senior discount for your stuff as well. Don't try to fight them on it, though; they'll insist the only thing they need is for you both to visit them every once in a while, which you planned to do regardless.
-Gets upset if he hasn't found you in the store for a while after leaving to pick some things up. Once he does see you, he acts like it's been weeks and refuses to leave your side for the rest of the shopping trip. He's quite literally stuck to you like glue.
-The type to have really funky or cute looking reusable bags.
Choji Tomiyama
-Can't stay on task to save his life. If you're pushing the cart, he will stand on the other side of it being pushed around. He insists he'll take turns, but he gets a bit too enthusiastic with how fast he should be going through the aisles. Nearly runs a few people over before you decide maybe just pushing it normally works best.
-Do not let him disappear on you; he'll end up at some other grocery store two miles down the street.
-Sometimes he knows your tastes better than you do. If you're deliberating over trying something new, 9/10 times he's correct about how you'll like it. He actually pays a lot of attention to what you like to eat and drink.
-Calls Togame and not only asks him what he wants from the store, but tells him to come down by the time you guys are done to help carry your stuff. He hasn't said no to Choji yet.
-He's feeding you both all the samples he can find until you realize you snacked so much you're not even hungry for dinner anymore.
Suo Hayato
-He's pretty relaxed compared to the other two. He'll let you take the reins for the most part since he's got all the stuff written down and knows each aisle it's in. He doesn't often stray from his normal foods so it's almost muscle memory now.
-When he does try something new, it's weird stuff. Like you didn't know this was in the store weird, what aisle does that even go in? You look around to see, and find nothing. He either took the last one or he was in the forbidden part of the grocery store.
-Sometimes, if he knows you're getting a lot, he brings the collapsible grocery wagon. (don't even play with me, this is the hottest thing someone could do for grocery shopping.)
-Watch out if you lose sight of him or he goes to grab something without you, because he WILL jumpscare you and you WILL have to try to smother your yelp.
Nirei Akihiko
-Extreme couponing Nirei edition tbh he's got it down to a science
-Knows a surprising amount of recipes by heart, so if you're trying hard to remember what you need for what you wanna make? Don't even get out your phone to struggle with finding enough bars (because for some reason grocery stores are iron fortresses that don't have cell service?) Nirei has it all up there in his beautiful brain.
-He's never in a rush and doesn't really separate from you (why would he want to?) He's just thrilled to spend time with you.
-Also one to have a bunch of different reusable bags.
-If you have a certain diet or need a certain ingredient, he knows all the specialty food stores around and is more than okay with making the extra stop with you.
-He has a certain type and brand of ice cream he likes to get as a treat every time, and although he tells you he doesn't need it, if they happen to be out of stock, he deflates a little.
Sakura Haruka
-You wouldn't think someone could be bad at grocery shopping, but....he's bad at it. An excess of meats and carbs is what comes home if you send him by himself, so it's best just to go together.
-Also you could swear he's giving a nasty look to the vegetable section hoping you don't pick any terrible ones up (though what's terrible to him is most of them)
-You catch him trying to hide if he sees someone he knows because to him, it'll just make it a longer grocery trip, and honestly, he just wants to go home with you. Point out who he's hiding from and say hi and watch the look of betrayal as he's turning red and grumbling.
-It takes him a bit, but after a few trips he starts to get the hang of things. He can tell the better meat cuts, and now knows to check the eggs to make sure they're not cracked. Sometimes, he texts you a picture of the vegetables you're looking for to make sure they're the right ones or to make sure they're your preferred ripeness if you're not there
The self checkout becomes his best friend, that way he doesn't have to worry about making small talk. He's screwed when he picks up meats, though, because the scale never picks up the weight properly, and then he's sweating waiting for one of the workers to come help him out.
-Refuses to let you carry the bags in, and is also one of those people who insist on loading up all the groceries on his arms at once. There will be no second trips to the car.

Hi! Can I have some platonic Carmilla Carmine headcanons with a Sinner!darling? Have a good day/night!
🐋~ anon
Sure. Sorry it's a bit short... Carmilla is so hard for me to write apparently 😔
Yandere! Platonic! Carmilla Carmine with Sinner! Darling
Pairing: Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Overprotective behavior, Manipulation, Violence, Blood, Hypocrisy, Isolation, Kidnapping, Dubious companionship.
Based on what we've seen from Carmilla, she's perfect for a platonic yandere more than anything.
She's a great mother... for the most part.
Ironically for a weapons dealer, she herself tries to be a pacifist.
The only exception she really has to this rule is her family being threatened.
Which, y'know, kinda kick-starts all the events of the show?
Carmilla would be a yandere who would want to shield her obsession away from everything.
Her whole yandere is kinda ironic.
She's a hypocrite.
She wants you protected and safe beside her... despite you both being Sinners in Hell.
She wants to keep you out of combat and doesn't teach you how to fight... Yet sells weapons and even kills Exorcists to protect you.
She is no doubt aware of her behavior.
But she feels it's all necessary.
To her, it doesn't matter what she does, as long as you're safe... Then it's alright.
She'd no doubt try to be like a mentor to you.
She wants you to rely on her, to trust her like you would a superior.
Carmilla keeps you with her at all times, even to Overlord meetings.
You end up watching over her children for Carmilla... She has given you a home, after all.
She has somewhat good intentions... but she's still a Sinner and an Overlord.
Which would mean she's rather selfish with her behavior.
You could be someone as simple as an assistant to Carmilla.
If you're around her long enough, she'll treat you as family.
You always help her with work as an Overlord, such as securing business deals.
You originally thought the relationship you had was purely business.
She offered you a job in Hell and you've been indebted ever since.
But maybe you start getting clues about it during certain moments.
For example, one of The Vees maybe make a comment about you, only for Carmilla to snap.
Not many demons treat others with respect so...
That was new to you.
That isn't the only strange occurrence.
Other hints reveal her true intentions like her trusting you with her daughters... or arranging private chats when she wishes for company.
Zestial even sees Carmilla's actions and can tell she has... different feelings towards you.
It's nothing lustful or depraved like most other demons.
It's still possessive... but in a different sense.
She treats you like she needs to shield you away, like it's easy to lose you.
This is understandable since she's come close to dying by Exorcists... and sells blessed weapons.
She knows how to properly kill Sinners.
Considering she sells weaponry... part of her thinks about what could happen if you were their target.
Is she being paranoid? Some may say that...
But to her, this is genuine fear.
This possibility... If she cares for someone too much...
It gets to her.
Poor you just thinks you have a good partnership with your boss...
Only for her to go insane and trap you somewhere only she can find you.
She apologizes, but you wonder if an Overlord like her even means it.
She says she's doing it for your safety, that she refuses to lose part of her family.
These words sound touching...
Yet she's still selfishly trapping you to help herself.
You doubt she cares about what you think.
All she cares about is herself.
You don't trust it when she touches you, slapping her hand away despite your restrictions.
You're able to roam your new little room... yet it's bleak, like a bunker.
You can't trust her.
Trust isn't common in Hell.
You thought you found it... but Carmilla violated it due to her own fears.
Perhaps she's right, this is safer than outside...
But you still yearn to be free.
She never allows it, treating you like you're meant to be an obedient child.
Your wishes clash... and you feel like you've found a different Hell within the actual one.
She says you're family to her... just like her daughters are...
But you doubt she'd lock them up the same way she does you.

things i say when you sleep | chapter fourteen
multi chapter bodhi durran x fem!oc
word count: 7.5k
chapter summary: After returning to Basgiath, Ania and Bodhi explore their free time together.
content warning: iron flame spoilers
AO3 masterlist
twelve | thirteen | fourteen | fifteen | sixteen
Xaden spends the better half of the day warding my door. I wish I knew how to show my gratitude because I know he'd rather spend his last hours at Basgiath with Violet.
"Things are going to be different without me and Garrick here," Xaden says, entering my room. Only he and Bodhi have free access. Everyone else would need to be pulled through.
This morning, I'd been sure we were going to die. It's not every day you hear your own name read off the death roll. I'd just been thankful that Xaden's plan had worked through and through.
"We'll be in charge of drops, I know," I reply. "Thank you. I know you'd rather be with Violet."
"You're important to me too," He assures me as he closes my door behind him. "I wouldn't be here if you weren't."
It feels wrong, finally being on better terms with him just for him to leave later tonight. He swears he'll write to me, but I wish I would have just made use of our time together here. I know I needed the space to grow into who I am today, but there's still so much that could've been different if I'd just listened to them in the first place.
"I want to apologize," I say, but nothing else follows.
He leans against the door, waiting for me to finish. "You don't have to apologize for anything."
"I should," I reply. "You did your best with what I gave you this year. I made it really hard. I guess I should also say thank you. For caring enough to make sure I lived." I'm rambling at this point, but I've never been good at expressing my emotions. Which I suppose is why I ended up an empath.
"Regardless of whether our relationship was on better terms or not, at this moment, I would've done whatever I could within my power to ensure you remained safe." He folds his arms over his chest and the corner of his mouth lifts. "But it is on better terms."
"Yeah, I guess it is." I smile a little.
"Are you still cut off?" He means by Gleigeal.
"Until further notice," I reply, standing up.
"What happens if they pull you for interrogation? If Dain gets his hands-"
"Dain is taken care of. I don't think he'll come for any of us after you embarrassed him this morning," I tell him.
That surely was a sight to see. I didn't expect Xaden to make such a spectacle out of it, but I guess he had a point to make.
"You can't shield with no power," Xaden says.
"I know. I'm already decent at shielding, and as soon as I'm not cut off anymore, I'll practice with Bodhi." I reassure him. "Gleigeal would never put me in a position where I couldn't shield if I needed to."
"I know he wouldn't." He nods curtly. "I just..."
"You worry." I finish for him. "You have plenty of other things to worry about. Don't add me to the list."
"It's impossible not to add you to the list." He sighs. "The celebrations are starting soon. You should get ready."
I cross my room and open the door. "Thank you for warding my door."
"Anytime, little Alistair." He exits, and I follow him into the hallway. I have nowhere else to be, but being locked up in my room doesn't sound pleasant. "I'll see you soon."
He'll be back for the occasional weekend with Sgayel to visit Tairn. Luckily, that would take a lot of weight off our shoulders.
We stand in front of my door, and I fold my hands behind my back. I stare up at Xaden, taking in the man in front of me. The person he's grown into is somebody that, in the best way, I don't recognize. He doesn't have to carry Fen's legacy, but he does. He carries the revolution on his back without anything to show for it. One day, when this is all over, there's a chance that nobody will know it was possible because of him.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"I don't know if anyone has told you, but I'm proud of you," I say softly.
He shakes his head briefly, and before I can think, I wrap my arms around his torso. He tenses under me, but I don't let go. Within the next second his arms are around me, squeezing me tightly. Tears threaten to spill from my eyes, but I hold them back.
Xaden and I have shared countless hugs in our lifetime, but this one might be my favorite. This one, I know, is the most important.
At this point in our lives, as adults, we share the weight of what we know about the world. The weight of knowing what we just went through in Resson is something only a select few can understand. But also, I'm realizing now that Xaden is and has always been a brother to me. Accepting the reality that he fought for me to welcome him back into my life and what that means moving forward.
"Take care of yourself, Ania." He says when I pull away.
"You too," I whisper.
Watching him walk away hurts in a way I didn't expect it to.
The sun is beginning to set, and the end-of-year celebrations are kicking off, but I can't be bothered by celebrating tonight. It wasn't just my name that I heard on the death roll this morning; it was Solei's and Liam's. Two people that should be here celebrating with us.
Liam hurts the most. His death is something I'm sure I will never get over. Knowing that his pain is something I'll carry with me is devastating. As I pass the gathering hall, I see the remainder of my squad sitting together at a table. At least Violet can bring herself to drink tonight. Maybe it wouldn't hurt if I had a few.
"I've been looking for you." Garrick steadies me when I nearly collide with his chest. "Let's take a walk."
I catch Ridoc's eye just as we walk away from the gathering hall. I barely spoke to any of my squadmates in formation, let alone after.
"Why aren't you with them?" He asks once we make it into the courtyard. After eighteen hours on Gleigeal's back, I have an undeniable limp.
I shrug, "Just wanted to be alone, I guess."
"You shouldn't cut yourself off from your squad." He says. "You need them now more than ever."
"I'm not," I argue.
"Then why aren't you celebrating with them?" He says, gesturing back toward the gathering hall.
"I don't see what there is to celebrate. You and Xaden are flying off to combat while I'm stuck here." I shrug.
It's deflection. Something I've grown to be extremely good at over the years. It's not that I don't want to have these conversations; it's just that sometimes I can't. Xaden and Garrick are leaving. Liam is dead. Venin are real. I almost died. And I'm supposed to just proceed through my second year lying to the people I've unfortunately grown to care about.
"Do us both a favor and keep yourself surrounded by the people who care about you." He rests a hand on my shoulder and offers me a smile.
"I like this one," I fight the urge to roll my eyes as Gleigeal's voice enters my head. "He makes a lot of sense."
"I'll try." It is the best I can do.
"I'll see you sooner than you think, little Alistair." He shoots me a wink before hiking the strap of his rucksack high up on his shoulder.
"Take care of yourself," I call after him as he walks away. "I mean it, Tavis! Stay out of trouble!"
"I know you do." His laugh echoes off the stone walls, but he doesn't turn to look back at me.
Seeing him head for the flight field leaves me with a sense of sadness. It really was just me and Bodhi now. What happens when he graduates and I'm left here by myself? The thought is shoved to the back of my head, another thing I can't bear to think about right now.
Taking Garrick's advice, I make my way back to the gathering hall. Violet is exiting, and by the look of the shadows, I'm sure she's on her way to meet Xaden.
"Hey," I say in passing.
"You look like you need a drink," She replies, barely giving me a second look. Her time with Xaden is limited, and even though they're not on the greatest of terms, I know she still wants to see him off.
"Look who decided to join us," Sawyer grins when I take a seat next to Imogen.
"I was convinced you'd stay locked up in your room for the rest of the night," Rhiannon says.
Imogen slides me her mug of wine, and I don't even hesitate before taking a sip. The taste is sweeter than I expected, but I don't mind. I quietly thank her. She looks at me like I'm as fragile as the pitchers the wine rests in and I'll break if dropped at any moment.
It's apparent upon further observation that everyone in the gathering hall is either entirely wasted or on their way to it. I suppose this is what the next five days will look like while we prepare for the next Conscription Day. Maybe I should take advantage of the time being placed in front of me and use it to forget.
"Imogen left the battle with a split lip. How did you get your limp?" The question from Nadine catches me off guard, and the way I recoil is visibly noticeable.
"Maybe I've had it all along." I ignore her and down the rest of the wine from Imogen. She pours me another glass to the brim with ale this time, and I'm eternally thankful.
There's no telling how many glasses of ale, wine, lemonade, you name it, I've downed within the hour. I'm positive that I've never drunk this much in my life, and I'm colossally regretting it when I try to get back to my room and stumble into the wall. The alcohol was supposed to numb the ache of what I've felt since leaving Resson, but all it's done is amplify it. All I can think of is the life leaving Liam's eyes while I drained the pain from him.
"Woah, Ania." It takes a second for my vision to focus, but eventually, Ridoc's face comes into view. He's got my face in his hands, and he's saying something, but his words sound muffled. It takes everything in me to listen to what he's saying. "Come on, I'll take you to your room."
He lifts my arm over his shoulder and helps me to my room. How I somehow managed to drink more than Ridoc Gamlyn astounds me. Once we're in, he lies me down on my bed and takes my shoes off for me.
"What is it?" I feel the bed dip next to me with his weight as he pulls the blanket over me. His thumb brushes my cheek, and it's then that I realize I'm crying.
I shake my head, knowing there isn't anything I could tell him that wouldn't give away the full story. "I don't know why I'm crying."
"I know why," He says quietly. "We don't have to talk about it now. But I'm always gonna be here for you, Ania."
He's a good friend, and it hurts that I can't be honest with him. All he knows is that we saw battle. He'll never know the true extent of what we went through in Resson, and there's a chance I'll never be able to tell him. It's just another thing I'll have to carry.
"I had to dismount Gleigeal," I whisper, unable to stop the word vomit threatening to spill out of me. "That's why I have a limp. It should go away soon."
His eyes narrow as he tries to process my words. It seems like he realizes that I'm circling back to Nadine's question from earlier because he brushes the hair that's fallen onto my face. The interaction is sobering.
"I'm sorry," He says.
The tears flow uncontrollably at that point, and the weight of everything from the past week comes crashing down on me like a landslide. Everything I've forced myself to not feel is overwhelming me all at once, and the sobs that rack my chest are something I've never felt before. I've had panic attacks and anxiety attacks but the way I'm crying now isn't from either.
It's grief.
Something I don't think I've ever allowed myself to feel in its pure form. Not since my parents and Beckett. The weight of Resson sitting on my chest. Soleil. Liam.
I will be grieving him for the rest of my life. Grieving the time I should've spent more with him. Grieving the time I should've had left with him. He was so young. He had so much life in front of him.
My heart fucking aches and throbs and refuses to stop. It genuinely feels like its being split in two, tendon by tendon.
It could just be me finally coming to terms with what I went through the past week, but I know it's so much more than that. Going home to Aretia might've been the cherry on top of it all, but the way it hits me all at once leaves me gasping for air. I can't even reach into my head where the Riorson House library is to try and control my own emotions considering I've been shut off from my dragon's power.
"What can I do, Ania?" Ridoc asks, slightly panicked. I'd feel embarrassed if I had half the mind. He climbs onto the bed, pulling me into his arms allowing me the breakdown I should've given myself years ago.
My eyes are stinging, my cheeks wet from the nonstop flow of tears spilling from my eyes. My throat is so tight that it hurts to breathe and all I can do is cling to Ridoc's tunic for some sort of semblance that he's still here with me.
"It's okay," He strokes my hair and it dawns on me that he's not the person I want here. "You're okay."
I'm eternally grateful that he's here to steady me as much as he can in this moment, but he isn't who I want. He's not who should be holding me.
I've nearly cried myself to sleep, hiccuping, and barely any tears are left with Ridoc gently rubbing my back. The door swings open and I know better that only a select few have the privilege of doing so.
"Get out." My head turns, and the broad figure filling the doorway gives me a sigh of relief.
Ridoc doesn't hesitate, standing from my bed after gently removing me from his arms. I grab his hand just before he's far enough and he turns to look at me.
"Thank you," I whisper. It shouldn't go unnoticed that he was here for me.
"Of course, Ania." He gives me a small smile before making his way toward the door. He and Bodhi seemingly size each other up before Ridoc whispers something that I can't hear. He's barely into the corridor before Bodhi slams the door shut behind him.
He kicks off his shoes quickly and climbs into bed with me and I immediately wrap myself around him. My body fits perfectly into his and he smells of vetiver, sandalwood, and home and he's everything I need. His arms slide around my waist, pulling me tightly into his chest and the sobs force themselves out of me once more.
"I'm sorry," I cry, keeping my face pressed into his shoulder.
"Don't be sorry. It's okay. It's alright, sunshine." His voice is soft as he pulls my face away to look at me. He brushes the present tears off my cheek.
"Sunshine," The word conjures so many emotions within me when I repeat his nickname for me. "How did you know?"
"Gleigeal told Cuir that you needed me," He says quietly. His fingers trace patterns up and down my spine, easing me back into a calm state.
I feel pathetic. Riders are supposed to be strong. Yet I'm crying the most I've let myself in years. Not once since I entered the quadrant have I seen a single tear shed by anybody in public.
"Never feel ashamed for what you feel. If you must cry, then cry. I warned you that shielding yourself from your emotions wasn't healthy." Gleigeal's voice startles me. "I've told you several times, that you were chosen to be my rider for a reason. I knew the person you'd grow to be."
"Why was Ridoc here?" He asks me after a few moments of silence. It's not accusatory in the slightest.
"I drank too much and he helped me back," I reply. "Nothing happened."
"He worries that Cadet Gamlyn has different intentions," Gleigeal says.
"What? Ridoc and I already tested those waters and trust me. They're cold." I say down my bond.
"Does he know that?" He's referring to Ridoc. I have the urge to hide myself from the embarrassment at the memory of me kissing him after Threshing. But we both agreed that wasn't a path we should go down. We're better as friends and that's not something I'd ever be willing to put at risk.
"I know," He smiles down at me, kissing my nose.
"And I never slept with him." I finally admit. "Ridoc is just a good friend."
"Oh, I know." He says matter of factly.
"What do you mean 'you know'? You made such a big deal out of it last year." I'm on the defense now.
I had been so angry with him for assuming Ridoc and I had slept together. Sure, I know it didn't look the best to have him scrambling out of my room without his shirt or the handful of times I'd left his room in the mornings after we platonically shared a bed, but he never even asked.
"I mean I know you, Ani." A light laugh leaves his lips at the disbelief on my face. "If you slept with him, you would've just said so. The way you danced around it told me you weren't telling the whole truth. You forget we grew up together."
"I implied it." I scoff.
"And I saw through the implication," He smiles. "Feel better?"
"Yeah, I just..." I sigh and try to form the words. Even though things are the way they are between us, opening up still seems like a chore and it draws a lot from me.
"Take your time," His thumb brushes against my cheek. I realized then that his arm, previously in a sling, was now in a cast. He was supposed to be getting it mended today, that's why I didn't see him at all.
"Um..." I take a deep breath and sit up, folding my hands in my lap. I'm just now getting the feeling back into my fingertips, I can't imagine how long it'd take if Brennan hadn't mended the nerve damage. He sits up with me, his hand reassuringly resting on my knee, reminding me that he's here for me. "I was thinking about Liam. Then my parents and Beckett. And Resson. I think I just cracked under its weight."
"I want to be here for you," His thumb circles gently on my thigh, "You don't have to carry this alone. Let me help."
When I turn to look at him, there's a shift in everything I've been feeling. Just the sight of him eases the intensity of every emotion I've gone through tonight. The simple way his eyes scan mine for any certainty that what he's doing is helping. The gentle brush of his fingertips against my skin. The warmth of his body enveloping mine, making everything better. As a rider, nothing will ever be perfect again in my life, but as long as he's here, I have all I need.
The idea of it scares me, needing him more than he'd ever need me. There's a chance that one day this will all disappear. He could decide he doesn't feel the same way, or worse considering the line of work we're entering, I could unimaginably lose him.
There are not enough years left in my life to make up for the time I deserve to spend with him. He's been there for as long as I can remember, since before I could walk. There isn't a world where he's not irrevocably mine. And I his. This had been in the cards for us all along, whether we'd been betrothed or not. Our paths had been set to intertwine since our childhoods.
"Come here," He cups my jaw between his thumb and forefinger and pulls my lips to his in a gentle kiss.
My fingers instinctively tangle into the dark curls at the base of his neck. He somehow manages to pull me closer, his arms sliding back around my waist. He pulls me down onto his chest as he falls backward into my mattress. I laugh softly against his lips, pulling away so I can look at him.
He pushes my hair over my shoulder so it's out of my face and pecks my lips, "We have so much free time over the next five days and I intend to spend just about every second of it with you."
"Is that a threat?" I tease, running my fingers through his curls.
"That's a promise, Cadet Alistair," He tilts his head up, kissing me again. He flips us over and presses his weight onto me. "Hey."
"Hey." I smile softly, unable to keep myself from sniffling. My eyes feel puffy in the aftermath of my breakdown, but he doesn't seem to notice or care.
"I love you." He says and the way his eyes flicker down to my lips is unmistakable.
"Tell me you mean it," The words come out barely above a whisper as I trace his jawline with my finger. He takes my hand into his and kisses the soft skin of my palm.
"I've never meant anything more," His eyes don't leave mine.
The next morning Bodhi and I wake up before the first bell, my bare chest pressed against his, the sun just peeking through the windows. I reach my fingertips out and watch the light stream through my fingers, sighing when I feel nothing from it. How long does Gleigeal expect me to live without my power?
"He's not punishing you, you know," Bodhi says, sleep laced through his tone. His morning voice is too attractive to put into words. He reaches his hand up and laces his fingers through mine, bringing the back of my hand to his lips.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"You feel like Gleigeal is punishing you by taking your power. The reality is that he's protecting you," Bodhi tells me. He sits up before I can argue and kisses my forehead.
I use the sheet to cover my chest as I lean against the headboard and watch him gather his clothes off the ground, redressing himself. "It feels like punishment."
"I promise you, it's not." He winks at me, glancing at himself in the mirror before he makes his way toward the door. "I'll see you tonight. Meet me in the gathering hall when the party starts."
Preparing for the first years might be more annoying than the chore duty I had before Threshing. However, having the rest of the day to do whatever I please is quite nice. I utilize most of my free time hidden away in my room, catching up on sleep. You'd think a week after burnout I would be feeling like my normal self again, but sleep is the easiest thing to find.
It's my last official free day before Orientation and I want to take advantage of it.
I'm halfway back to my room from the flight field when Ridoc stops me in the courtyard.
"Are you gonna avoid us forever?" There's a slight annoyance in his tone, one I've never heard before.
"I'm not avoiding anyone," I fold my arms across my chest and lean against the wall.
"You haven't come to any of the parties this week except after graduation. You haven't eaten with us. You're not meeting us in the gym. What's going on?" He lists off the number of things I've intentionally done this week and I can't help but sigh. "Look, Ania. Whatever you're going through, whatever you went through, we want to help you and be there for you. But we can't if you keep shutting us out."
"I just need space right now to sort through my shit. That's all." My guard has been set in stone since we got back to Basgiath. I haven't even so much as had a chance to talk to Violet which is who I probably need to see the most.
"Space? That's bullshit, Ania, you know it." He laughs in disbelief, shaking his head. "Don't say you need space when the Section Leader has spent every night in your room since you got back."
"I'm not doing this with you," I push my back off the wall. Bodhi will not be a part of this argument.
This is not an argument I'm even willing to have. Not when there's no way for me to ensure I won't say something I regret. Ridoc is pissed and I'm on my way to being equally as pissed as he is, but not once since I've met him have I ever seen him angry.
"Look," He grabs my wrist and I immediately pull away, "I will never understand what you and Violet went through. But I want to try. I want to be there for you. You're one of my best friends and when you didn't return on time, I was so worried that I lost you guys. Please, just let us be there for you."
I run a hand through my hair and watch the way hurt flashes across his eyes. Guilt rattles me to my core. Keeping the truth from those who want to do nothing but care for me is ridiculously hard. Not only are they my squad mates, they're my friends. I can't avoid them and shut them out forever.
"I'm sorry," I say truthfully. "I'm just having a hard time processing everything."
"I know you may not be ready to talk about it and that's one hundred percent fine, but don't shut me out." He rests his hands on his hips.
"I burnt out," I tell him. "After I dismounted Gleigeal, I burnt out. And I almost died. Bodhi... he was there for me and made sure I lived."
That part feels freeing to say. He doesn't need to know how or why, but it's just a sliver of the truth that will hold him over and make it easier for me to move through my day-to-day.
"I had no idea," He whispers. He hesitates before pulling me into a hug and I allow it after tensing for a moment.
Ridoc was easily one of the first people I considered a friend in the quadrant and he may be one of the best I have. It's not fair to him for me to not reciprocate what he's giving. Not when he's doing his best to make it work.
"Then I should thank him. For bringing you back safe." He says when he pulls away.
I wrap an arm around my midsection and then pinch the bridge of my nose with a sigh.
"Bodhi and I... well Xaden and Garrick too, we all grew up together," I tell him. Hopefully, he takes the news better than Violet did, but that was a completely different circumstance.
"Oh." Is all he says.
"I'm sorry for keeping that from you. I honestly wanted nothing to do with them when I got here, but things changed." I explain.
"No, no. I don't blame you. It's just... it makes a lot of sense now." He nods. "So, you and Bodhi are like a thing now, then?"
"It seems that way," I don't know how to say it with Gleigeal's words replaying in my head.
"As long as he treats you right," Ridoc says and I immediately nod.
"He does. I swear."
Realization settles in his gaze and it makes my heart pound. I don't want to think about the way that this could've possibly hurt him. I always just assumed the night of Threshing we both agreed and felt the same way that friendship suited us.
"Okay," He nods once more.
Ridoc walks me back to my room and I'm grateful when Violet is exiting her's.
"Hey, do you have a second?" I ask before she can turn away from me. She nods and I grab her hand pulling her into my room. "I'll see you later, Ridoc."
"See you later," He smiles. "That's pretty cool, by the way. Who did that?" He gestures to the door.
"Xaden," I reply. His lips form into an O shape and he nods.
"Right."
With that he's turning on his heel and down the hall. Violet sits in the chair at my desk and I sit on the bed. I almost don't know where to start with her. We barely spoke in Aretia and on top of that prior to Resson I'm convinced she hated me and considered me a liar.
"How are you doing?" The words awkwardly tumble out of my mouth.
"Good, I think. You? You kind of just keep hiding in here." She says, folding her hands in her lap. It's slightly comforting to know she feels just as awkward as I do.
"I'm tired," I answer honestly and then pause. "But hiding in here makes it easier to lie to them."
"They don't exactly have an instruction manual on lying to the people you care about. 'Selective truths' is what Xaden said to me before he left," She says.
Selective truths.
Exactly what I just gave Ridoc. That's all we can give our friends until further notice. The chance that they never accept the truth doesn't sit right with me.
"Are you fully recovered?" She asks and I laugh lightly.
"My hip is fucked up, but I think it's just about healed. I also don't feel as tired as I did when we got back. Normal, I guess. Slowly getting back to normal," I don't know why it feels so hard to talk to her after what we just went through together.
"After Liam," she swallows and I understand, "I saw you and Gleigeal with the wyvern. Then when I saw you and that venin, Gleigeal was nowhere to be seen and I was rightfully terrified. When I woke up and remembered everything, I was scared Xaden would tell me he buried you too. I knew that was something he wouldn't survive."
Words refuse to come out, mostly because I simply can't arrange them into a proper sentence. I do my best and even though it takes a moment, they eventually materialize.
"Well, I'm told we survived because of you and Xaden," I offer a small smile. "So thank you."
"We'll get through this, Ania," She tells me, "There's no right way to navigate it, but we'll figure it out. Together."
"Together." I nod.
"Where are we going?" I laugh as Bodhi drags me through the forest. There are a few hours til curfew and I can barely see in front of my feet with the sun dipping below the horizon. There's a small amount of natural light left. "I'm not gonna be able to light the way once it's dark, you know."
"Just be patient. You've never been patient, Ani. It might be your fatal flaw." He glances back at me and my lips part in a dramatic gasp.
"I am too patient," I argue. "I might be the most patient out of all you boys."
"You know who was the most impatient?" He asks.
"Beckett," We answer at the same time with a laugh.
Remembering him these days is an easier thing to do. His memory no longer brings me to anger. I can simply remember him and be grateful that I got to have him as a brother.
He leads me through a clearing next to the lake and I have to stop in my tracks when I see a circle of dimly lit mage lights surrounding a blanket with a small basket that seemingly is filled with food.
"What is this?" I ask, looking at him.
"I figured it was about time I took you on a date," He smiles cheekily.
"Bodhi," His name is just above a whisper off my lips and I let him pull me to the blanket.
"Ani," He mimics my tone, his hands sliding around my waist as he kisses me.
My arms wrap around his neck as I stand on my toes to deepen the kiss. My fingers brush through his dark curls as his tongue slips past my lips and glides against mine. Gods, he's perfect.
"This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done," I say, observing the scene in front of me.
"My lady," He teases, gesturing me to sit down. I sit next to him with my knees tucked to the side as he pulls the basket toward us. "You should've seen me trying to sneak this out of the kitchen."
"I can only imagine," I smile as he opens a small pack of fruit. "Bodhi, I'm serious. This is... I don't even know what to say."
The way he feeds me the piece of fruit is cliche but I don't mind. Once the sun fully sets and the only light besides the mage lights gifted to us is the moon, and after we're full from the fruit and bread he's brought, he tucks a strand of hair behind my ear.
"I love when you wear your hair down," He tells me. We're laid out, both of us propped up on our elbows as we face each other.
"Enjoy it now because after tomorrow it'll be up for most of the year," I tell him. "Speaking of... Orientation was today. RSC?"
He takes a deep breath, "It's tough, I won't lie to you. But, your squad is ridiculously tight-knit, more than any that I've seen in my time here. You guys are going to be fine."
The warmth of the July air clings to my skin and I annoyingly tug at the collar of my long sleeve tunic I've been forced to wear since our return. Bodhi stands up and tugs his shirt off, followed by his boots and pants, til he's left in nothing but his briefs.
"What are you doing?" I laugh as he pulls me to my feet. His hands slide under the hem of my tunic and he slowly pulls it over my head.
"We're going for a dip," He tells me, his fingers deftly unbuttoning my pants. He tugs them down my thighs and helps me step out of them, taking a moment to kiss the scar where Fionn had stabbed me at Threshing.
The water is at a comfortable temperature and is so refreshing that I vocalize a sigh once the water reaches our necks. He pulls me to him and I wrap my legs around his waist, resting my chin on his shoulder.
"Thank you for tonight. It was really special," I say quietly as I watch the reflection of the moon ripple with our movement.
After the Apostasy I never imagined that I'd find myself this comfortable with someone again. Let alone Bodhi Durran. Yet, here we are. He's everything to me and more.
"Does this mean I can call you my girlfriend?" He pulls back slightly so that I can look at him.
The question makes my cheeks heat up. I'd been a girlfriend one other time in my life and I hated the person I called my boyfriend. I'd dated him out of spite and boredom and we broke it off after four months. The sex hadn't even been good. The mere idea of being a girlfriend to Bodhi Durran has my stomach tied in knots but in the best way.
The way the moonlight softly illuminates his features is nothing more than picturesque and I want the image ingrained into my memory forever. Paint it on my tombstone if one must. I trail my finger down the bridge of his nose, a feature of his I remember him being insecure about as a preteen, though it's one of my favorites.
"Hmm, let me think about it," I can't help the cheesy smile that plasters my face.
"It's settled." He shakes his head and leans in to kiss me right before he holds my body flush against his and dunks us both under the water.
"Vile. Just vile," I laugh when we resurface as he uses his thumbs to brush the water from my face.
I try to pull away but he grips my hands and pulls me back to him. He holds my wrists under the moonlight and I jerk backward. The discoloration didn't take long to become my least favorite thing about myself.
He notices my discomfort and lets my wrists go, his hands finding my waist once more. He holds me under the moonlight and a comfortable silence settles over us.
Conscription Day has already been slightly more brutal than the last. Between Liam's sister, Sloane, hating Violet and me, and picking unnecessary fights with my new wingleader, Dain fucking Aetos, it feels impossible to get through the rest of the day without anyone getting on my Gods damned nerves more than they already have.
"You're one step away from the anger issues that plagued you last year," Gleigeal says and I roll my eyes.
"Oh, is that why I'm still cut off?" I reply annoyance laced through my tone."Being bitter with me will not aid you in getting your way," He grumbles.
I'm placed between Ridoc and Violet in formation as Panchek's voice fills the courtyard like nails on a chalkboard. The day hasn't been that bad when you think about it, I'm just irritatingly on edge today for some reason. Watching Dain try to fill the role that Xaden had last year is almost laughable, but I can't help but wish Xaden were still up there.
When the wingleader's dragons join us in the courtyard, I hardly pay attention. The reaction of some of the first years pushes me farther past the point of agitation that I'm already sitting at. I just want us to be dismissed so I can find myself in bed for the rest of the night.
"Are you okay?" Ridoc asks, glancing at me.
"I'm fine," I sigh. My fingers dig into my palms and I realize that one of the reasons I'm so pissed off is because of how fucking hot I am. I'd be surprised if this long sleeve didn't have sweat stains down my back. It just reminds me why I have to wear it and the memories of Resson flood my mind. Catching sight of Sloane in the corner of my eye nearly pushes me over the edge. She looks so much like Liam. I tug at the collar and force myself to take a deep breath.
Control it. Don't let it control you.
"You don't seem fine, Ania," He whispers.
"Ania, calm down." Violet's voice is quiet but firm as she grips my wrist into her hand.
Now is not the time for a fucking panic attack. What the hell has gotten into me over the past couple of days?
"Show me you can ground without magic and then we'll discuss reopening the channel," Gleigeal says.
Anger shakes me to my core. No way he's using this as a lesson. My breaths are deep but shaky and I hyper-fixate on the way that Violet has my wrist in a death grip. I cannot do this in formation, not in front of the entire quadrant.
My focus is pulled when a group of first-year scrams by. That just pisses me off more, knowing that they're seconds away from being torched.
"Eyes forward," Gleigeal's voice is filled with panic. My head snaps to the front of the formation and my eyes land on a large Orange that I don't recognize. I let my gaze drop for a second and notice Bodhi, who shakes his head slightly. It's hard to tell from this distance but he looks worried.
Bodhi's eyes widen as he takes off in a run just as Violet's scream fills my ears. He's forced to stop when the Orange curls his tongue.
"Get down!" She lunges for Sloane and before I can even think to move, Ridoc pulls my chest to his, throwing us both to the ground.
I cling to him tightly as he does his best to keep his arms around my head. I squeeze my eyes shut tightly doing my best to drown out the screams around us. My breath is hitched in my throat and I refuse to let it go, knowing if I do, it'll be my last. The blaze against my back is scorching and I'm grateful that Ridoc protects my head.
I finally let myself breathe when Ridoc helps me to my feet. I don't even want to look at the remnants of what just happened behind us. I wince when Ridoc turns me to look at my back. I watch as Violet pulls her shirt off in her hand and wish I had the scales she does.
"Gods, Ania," He sucks in a breath and I don't even want to know what it looks like.
"Ania!" Gleigeal shouts.
"I'm fine. I think," I reply down our bond. My eyes find Bodhi who is in the same place I last saw him in, relief written over his face when he sees me standing. My skin feels nothing short of melting and I have to hold on to Ridoc to steady myself. I'm thankful when I see that the sleeves of my uniform are still intact hiding the gray prints pressed permanently into my skin. The cool air against my skin tells me the back of it is no longer there.
"Get back in formation! Riders do not balk at fire!" Panchek screams over the chaos.
Violet steps toward me, pulling Imogen with her as we fall back in line.
"Ciaran is dead," Imogen whispers, and my stomach hits my feet.
I let my eyes find the pile of ash where I know he'd previously been standing and nausea takes over.
"Conspiratize later. I need your focus at one hundred," Gleigeal snaps, knowing where my brain is headed.
Bodhi finds me immediately after formation is dismissed and I'm grateful when I think that Tairn might've bought our squad some sort of protection after his conflict with Solas, the orange who torched a large chunk of the quadrant.
His hands cup my cheeks and he looks me over. "Your back, Ani."
"It's fine. Violet's too." I say, looking around for her but she's already disappeared, likely to the healers where I want to be.
"Violet has scales." He tells me as if I don't already know. He turns to Ridoc who hasn't left my side. "Thank you. For protecting her."
"No need to thank me," He shakes his head once. "She needs a healer." The way Bodhi's jaw tightens tells me he's doing his best to not roll his eyes at Ridoc.
That night, after three hours in the healer's quadrant, Bodhi is sitting criss-cross on my bed, gently spreading healing ointment into my skin. I can barely feel his touch with the way the pain meds they gave me have me feeling nearly entirely numb. I sit up when he finishes and take a deep breath when I study his face.
"Something is going on, something we don't know about," He finally says, reaching for my hand. "With you being cut off, I don't think it's a good idea for you to come on drops."
"What?" I raise my voice. "That's not fair."
"It is fair and it's not an argument. Until you have your power back, you're not coming. I'm not fighting with you about this." He snaps and I close my mouth. "You and Violet stay here. Stay out of trouble and don't draw attention to yourselves."
"What happened today was intentional," I say quietly. Saying it out loud makes it real.
"I don't want to say that's what happened, but it seems that way." He replies, cupping my cheek.
Surviving second year just got a lot harder.

The Great Wave - Chapter 17 Review
‼️SPOILERS FOR THE CHAPTER‼️
Nothing too major happens in this chapter which I think is a good way to relax a bit from all the serious stuff (and doppelgangers) that we've had to see in older chapters. But sadly, we don't get to see Amalia freaking out over the orphan ouginaks like a customer at a pet smart store (sorry @kirichux looks like it'll just stay a fantasy 😭) Too bad that didn't happen (for now 👹). Either way, it's at least nice to know that Yugo was actually not personally angry at Joris but rather just had a very serious while thinking about daddy Rasalar's face in the last chapter.
OMG LUIS STILL KEEPS CALLING HIM JOJO ‼️‼️‼️
I mean I know that he still does call him 'Jojo' since we also saw him in season 4 calling Joris like that, but I'm just happy to see him addressing him like that even in the Great Wave 💕💕💕💕
And yeah Luis is right, relax you're not acting as Bonta's representative/messenger right now lol Even your shushu has a point which is honestly saying A LOT. You can call them your besties here Joris don't be shy 🥰🥰🥰
And speaking of Yugo, I'm semi glad that the face he made last chapter wasn't meant for Joris. Cuz not only would he have confused the living hell out of Joris but he would have also scared the crap out of these kids.

JORIS IS WORRIED FOR HIS DEMIGOD BESTIE ‼️‼️‼️ OMG RASALAR IS GONNA GET HIS SEXY ASS KICKED ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
(sidenote: I personally see Lilotte as Joris's mortal bestie while Yugo is his demigod bestie. Yeah that's how I think i know it's clever ✨️✨️)
(yeah @geekgirles ur right, these two look so good in that panel 💗💗)
Like Joris is literally hearing that his demigod bestie got poisoned by the dragon who was meant to use him as a vessel. Shit was always personal but Joris knows that he crossed a line when he went for Yugo 🩷🩷
This must be such a weird day for Joris to visit memory lane again. First, he catches a thief who looks way too much like his past best friend. Then, he learns from Yugo and Amalia that the dragon who was meant to use him as a vessel poisoned Yugo.
Who's next on the list that would resurface from the dead and punch his childhood in the dick? His mom??
HAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAAHHAAHHAHAAHAHAHHA-
So uh Atcham really doesn't remember...either he sucks at remembering past faces or he's genuinely tweaking.
No cuz like wtf is going on in his head?? Same with Kerubim. Aren't they aware that they're standing face to face with Lilotte's doppelganger??? Come on, they literally look THE SAME. Fine, maybe Atcham kinda forgot since he had only seen Lilotte a few times BUT KERUBIM DOESN'T HAVE ANY EXCUSES TO NOT REMEMBER!?!?
He literally watched Joris GROW UP WITH LILOTTE. She was literally his best friend! After she died, can you honestly tell me how many more mortals Joris has gotten this close with??? Exactly. Atcham may be dumb for not remembering one of Joris' friends, sure, but Kerubim is the true dumbass here.
Speaking of Lilotte actually, Thirteen is clearly her doppelganger but it would be super ironic if her number (aka name 💀) was meant to be a bad omen for Harigue lol (if you forgot who that was, I don't blame you. It was that disgusting old man's name who slaved these precious kids)
Like her number name literally meant 'bad luck'. And you're telling me that she ended up being the one to bring Joris to his base? Yeah, if that isn't shit luck for that old bastard, then i don't know what is. It's especially ironic for her because that ended up being her lucky number 💕💕💕
ALSO PUPUCE IS ALIVE ‼️‼️‼️ WTF ‼️‼️
She's such a fighter, look at her still moving around with her little stubs 💕💕 It's nice to know that she survived 500 years with Joris and can still manage to run around...Pupuce is a real fighter lol
Also fun fact about her kind, they kinda work like bees: when they attack the player, they instantly die afterwards. So one attack equals immediate death. Looks like Pupuce is a pacifist....💀💀
These two bozos forgot that their asses got handed to them and are now Joris's kids. Yet they don't wanna share their stuff with OTHER orphans 😭😭😭
I swear to god it doesn't matter how old they get they are still lazy morons in each life.
I missed Luis's house magic 💕💕 The dofus movie made his skills look so smooth and satisfying like the motion and the way the bowls would just appear out of thin air, I loved it!!
AND THE CHILDREN‼️‼️‼️‼️
LOOK AT HOW THOSE LITTLE PUPS ARE OGGLING THE TABLE!!! That fucking old man never fed them right, he literally lashed out at them that they should be grateful that he feeds them every once and a while. So for them, seeing as table filled with food without anyone pushing them away or sneering at them is literally like seeing a miracle happening right in front of their eyes.

I bet that some of them still can't believe that they're out of the sewers. Those poor kids must be thinking they probably died or something because ever since Thirteen came back to the sewers, they got saved by a strong important guy that managed to scare the shit out of 'their master', got taken out of the sewers, got told they could just call their rescuer by his first name, got told they could stay at their rescuer's house, got told they could eat his food and sleep at his place, AND got told by their rescuer that he would give them normal names.
LIKE PLEASE YOU CAN'T TELL ME THAT SOME OF THEM ARE AT LEAST DOUBTING THEIR OWN EXISTENCE RIGHT ABOUT NOW!!!
All I can say is please let Yugo's wave not annihilate them and shred them into more pieces than they're already missing 😭😭
I can't tell if they're purposely being petty assholes while having the mental age of a kid. Cuz wtf bro this is like being a mom and showing off your new baby to your other kids only for them to hate the newborn because they'll have to start sharing everything with them 💀💀

I'll smack these two 😃😃
TWENTY-SEVEN STOP YOU DON'T HAVE TO GIVE HIM ANYTHING 😫😫😫😫
Don't get me wrong, it's so cute that he gave his (make-shift 😭) teddy to Joris but the fact that he was thinking about giving him anything at all, especially his TEDDY, was as if he gave him some sort of payment rather than a gift. Because why would he give him his teddy of all things? He's still so incredibly young, he obviously uses it all the time. So to give it away would mean that he's so incredibly grateful, he would see it as his payment to Joris so that he and his siblings would be able to stay here 😭😭😭
STOP IT WOULD MAKE TOO MUCH SENSE!!!! 😫😫😫😫

FIVE HUNDRED YEARS WTF MAN 😭😭😭
He says it way too casually too 💀💀
"Yeah no, he's been a pain in my ass for like 500 years now 🙄🙄 urgh I can't stand him sometimes i swear 😒😒" like excuse me????
I'm waiting for the Joris fans to use this face as their pfps lol

And into the abyss they go...
