This is how I felt when I rewatched the Hellsing TV series and discovered the eerie soundscape included whale sounds. How did I miss that?

I have the Nightmare on Elm Street movies playing in the background while I work on stuff because I've actually never really seen them and the first two are alright I guess but I'm fascinated by the decision to play whale noises when Freddy Kreuger is on-screen. Did you know that when Freddy Kreuger is on-screen there are whale noises playing? Literally blue whale songs. I googled it and the director just thought they were weird and eerie enough to be unsettling but I feel like that only works if you don't immediately recognize them and they're not disguised or altered in the slightest. Why didn't anyone tell me about the ghost whale that always follows Freddy around just out of sight
