I, as always, do not agree with Karl Marx but it’s a useful framework for the discussion.
#off topic#not fiber arts#influencers#this video is excellent#it’s clear informative easy to understand and effective in communication#I also like how the YouTuber doesn’t shy off from calling out fellow creators for misusing terms like ‘documentaries’#and implying that they’re journalists or academics when they have edited their opinions together in a slick way#and he doesn’t justify misleading the audience because it’s ‘entertaining’ and therefore ‘what the audience wants’#the whole ‘My business did it because the public wanted it’ is a really dicey marketing tactic that’s related to operant conditioning#it’s STILL not an excuse for dishonesty
